Some sad Albus Potter headcannons (but it ends nicely)

When he was a small child, Albus’ siblings used to joke about him being the odd one out because he didn’t have red hair. Lily’s was just like her mother’s and James’, whilst less vibrant, still had undeniable red hues. But Albus was the only of his siblings to get his dad’s. He didn’t mind it so much back then. After all, he wasn’t actually that different from them. They were just messing around.

Albus never liked quidditch growing up. His mum was an ex-professional and his dad and his siblings were all exceptional at it too. Albus didn’t really get it. He preferred being on the ground. He accepted that maybe he didn’t fit in in that regard either. But that was okay. He was still a Potter.

Albus’ heart plummeted the moment the sorting hat announced where he’d been placed. He was the first of the Weasley bloodline to not be put in Gryffindor, he was the first of the Potter bloodline to not be put in Gryffindor. It wasn’t right; he was getting further and further away from the rest of his family. He briefly let himself dwell on a memory; an argument he’d had with James. He was nine, and he’d snuck into James’ room over the Christmas holidays and put his Gryffindor uniform on. James was angry that Albus had gone through his stuff, but Albus just wanted to be like his big brother. The memory turned sour.

Selfishly, his heart broke to see Lily go into Gryffindor. He’d hoped maybe he wouldn’t be the only one, that maybe she’d be like him, that maybe she’d prove he wasn’t the odd one out. He didn’t know why he was kidding himself, because at that point he’d already accepted that he was.

Lily made the quidditch team in her second year. Albus was happy for her, of course. But she made it onto a team captained by his brother and with Rose as their star player. His parents gushed about James and Lily’s playing, and his aunt and uncle praised Rose for her’s in equally high regard. Albus would just pick at his dinner as his family’s conversation effortlessly continued on without him.

When Albus was in his fourth year, James got a serious girlfriend for the first time. James had gushed about plenty of girls before, but he really meant it with this one, Albus could tell. She wasn’t James’ first girlfriend though, that had been when he was fourteen - Albus’ age. Albus often got quipped for that, about when he’d get a girlfriend. It wasn’t exactly his fault that his brother and his dad had done so well by his age. Albus wasn’t even sure he wanted a girlfriend. Maybe that was just another way he didn’t fit in.

Albus realised he was in love with Scorpius Malfoy not long after. Despite everything, that was what made him feel more left out than ever before. Now he wasn’t just a dark-haired, un-athletic, Slytherin Potter, but he was a dark-haired un-athletic Slytherin Potter in love with the son of his father’s old school rival. What on Earth could be more isolating than that.

Albus struggled for many years with the feelings of isolation and the knowledge that he was so different from the rest of his family. But he did find something that subsided it, because it turned out out that Scorpius Malfoy loved him back. Suddenly, none of the other stuff seemed to matter so much. He’d found somebody who loved him regardless of all those things, maybe even because of all those things. Suddenly, all of the things that made him different seemed stupidly fortunate. Maybe he wasn’t quite like the rest of his family, but finally he felt able to revel in having something that was unique to him - getting to be loved by Scorpius Malfoy

Grief and Love

Summary: Professor Mcgonagall's husband died years ago and it's time to pay him a visit.

Professor Dumbeldore was a very busy man. He had a whole school to run. But thankfully he had someone, a woman that helped him keep everything under control. Except today he could not find her. After dismissing a pair of student’s and collecting another stack of papers he gave up. “Where’s Minerva?” He asked, irritated.

Sybill pushed her glasses up. “It’s the anniversary sir” She answered meekly. Whispering it so the student’s couldn’t hear.

His eyes softened after the shock disappeared. How could he forget after all these years? “Oh dear yes” He murmured, ducking his head in thought. Now that he thinks about it he could remember Minerva asking for the day off.

In another part in Scotland a woman bent down revealing her hands to be setting a bouquet of red carnations down on a stone. She leaned back up and a frown overtook her face. ‘Beloved husband, son and uncle’ She read aimlessly. ‘Although your time was short your memory still lives on’ This though she read it and believed in it like it was an oath.

“Hello Elphinstone” She greeted.

“Remember the boy i told you about Harry potter” She started.

A smile grew on her face just thinking about the boy, well man now. Even though he would always be a child to her. He was like her own. She could still remember when his parents and friends attended Hogwarts. Their first day even. “His children just began” She continued after a small silence.

“Sometime’s i wonder what would’ve been if we had children” She admitted before she blew out a breath the cold air making it visible. She could imagine a small girl with her husband’s blonde hair or a small boy with her green eyes. She ran a finger up her cheek wiping away the teardrop.

“But that’s not what neither of us wanted” She settled on.

Ignoring her admission she continued. “I know it’s going to be another interesting few years” Maybe not as interesting as the years with dear Harry potter. But you never know.

Minerva leaned down, pecking her palm and setting it to the top of the tombstone. “I miss you” She whispered before leaning back up and pulling her cloak back to her. Without another word she walked away into the night.

CC Headcannon: Astoria Malfoy wanted to make sure that Scorpius didn’t have the same attitude as his family had towards muggles and muggleborns so she taught him a lot about muggles as a kid. After she died, Scorpius wanted to continue learning about them because he felt that it was what his mum would’ve wanted and he felt like it was one of the only things he had left of her. This fuelled his passion for muggle studies. He learns about all kinds of muggle things and gains a *very* big hyperfixation on muggle music and brings his new wired earphones with him everywhere.

When him and Albus later declare their undying love for each other, Scorpius is invited round to dinner at the Potter house. He’s really nervous and starts rambling about the most random things and eventually settles on teaching them all about muggle music. Harry turns out to have a very similar taste in music to Scorpius as they’re both 80s nerds and Harry lived with the Dursleys for ages so knows his fair share of muggle music.

They talk for hours and hours about Queen, Nirvana, The Killers etc and Albus pretends to understand what they’re on about but Harry reminds Albus that he’s tried to teach him many, many times about the wonders of muggle life, but he’s always refused.

When the boys go back to Hogwarts, Albus finally agrees to listen to muggle music. Albus ends up loving it and makes a playlist of all the songs that remind him of Scorpius.

Albus then sends Scorpius the link to the playlist as a Christmas gift and it turns out Scorpius did the same for him and it’s so f-ing cute!! They both end up putting their earphones in and listening to each other’s playlists for hours on end and Harry and Scorpius continue to bond over their similarities in muggle music taste and it’s like the cutest thing ever <33

My favorite Scorbus headcannons

-Scorbus is t4t

- After the Time Turning incident Scorpius and Albus both suffered horrible nightmares so they began sleeping in the same bed. After a nightmare it was much easier to be in the same bed.

- Everybody at Hogwarts knew they liked eacthother before they did. It became so bad there was a 500 gallen prize to whoever could get them together.

- They take turns being the little spoon

- they contently steal eacthothers clothes so much they have no idea what's who's anymore- they have a veage idea but eventually they just gave up and just said everything was both of there's. ( Except for Albus's Weasley jumpers those are Scorpius's. And Scorpius light fluffy hoodies are Albus's)

- Scorpius and Albus is there close enough are always tocthing eacthother is some way. Holding hands and touching knees, it hardly matters to them as long as there's contact .

- They sleep in the most confusing positions often twisting themselves into human pretzels. They swear it's comfortable but the rest of the Potter/Weasley kids are still unsure.

- They are banned from playing truth or dare at the annual Potter/Weasley Family holidays. Being Slytherins their truths and dares end up being psychological warfare. One time Scorpius after being given the dare to give Albus a hickey he forced James to say what the most important woman in his life was. While is mother, girlfriend, and sister were all within earshot.

- They have a pet snake they have shared custody over. His name is William Snakespeare ( Scorpius got to pick the name) and they Adore him. Even if Albus had to handle the live feeding.

- Scorpius is super good with aniamls of all kinds. Expect cats. No Matter what he does cats just don't like him. But they love Albus. Which is odd because Albus sucks at dealing with any other animal.

- Albus is a Stoner and sometimes Scorpius smokes too. He however only does it when he's super stressed out.

- They once got arrested because they did ' magic ' in front of a Muggle child. However, to further research they were just slight if hand muggle tricks
