Red roan unicorn and bonus bi pride unicorn! I am in the process of painting some postcards for friends, and got a request for a unicorn. The red roan unicorn was the result!

I used a cutout to shield the first painting while I splattered the background blue (because I didn’t decide to do so until well after the unicorn itself was painted) - and then thought it would be fun to do a bi pride themed unicorn with the cutout. I may do a series with other pride flag unicorns...

Continuation of my Bleach/Old West AU, Ishihime edition!

Ichigo moans that the gang has hired the worst cook in the West. Ishida can’t help but think, “and also the loveliest.”

While out hunting, Ishida, Ichigo, and Sado get caught in a snowstorm and are forced to take refuge in an abandoned cabin. As they wait out the storm, Ishida writes letters to Orihime.

Text:

Dearest Inoue,

Not a day goes by where I don’t think of you. It has proven to be a cold and harsh winter up here in the mountains. We’ve been here four days now and the storm shows no sign of letting off. The gang shivers and trembles and curses at the frost, they marvel at how I manage to stay so content in such wretched conditions. The wind is cruel and icy, but memories of you and your eyes, your smile, your peculiar cooking keep me blissfully warm.

Do you remember, Inoue, those long and slow walks we’d take in the woods together? Sometimes you’d take my hand and break into a run and I’d have no choice but to run with you, and to my own disbelief I’d find myself laughing, foolishly, wonderfully, like a giddy schoolboy. Our laughter would startle the birds out of all those branches and we’d watch them take off towards the sky, listen to the flapping of those wings. Remember the day we got rained on? Soaked to the bone, we were, and I felt so lousy, because it was my idea to go out walking that day! But you liked the rain, you told me so. Yes, you said you liked the rain. You pressed your lips to mine for the first time that day and lit a fire in me I never even knew I had. A fire that keeps me warm now in this cold, blue winter storm.

We’ve each got a fire of our own, I suspect. Something...someone... anything that drives us to push forward. I’ve seen Sado pull out that necklace of his that his grandfather gave him, I’ve seen his eyes go warm and hazy as he remembers whatever it is he so fondly remembers (Sado doesn’t talk much, as you know). And let’s keep this between you and me, but Kurosaki’s got that Kuchiki girl’s Wanted poster folded up and tucked inside his shirt pocket. I’ve seen him take it out and gaze when he thinks no one’s looking. In his hands, the “wanted” in that poster takes on an entirely different meaning, I reckon (that was a joke~not a very good one, but I smile while writing it anyway). We’ll be home soon, Inoue. The wind can’t howl forever, and there’s only so much snow that can fall. We’ll be home soon.

So I am looking for an artist and maybe a coder...

So in general, I am looking for people willing to help me create a visual novel game ( to be sold ) based of the mythos of my book series the Piper Wars. I have plenty of ideas for the story and narrative to be used ( of course I am willing to accept input from others ) but the problem is I have no knowledge of coding and no artistic talent when it comes to Visual Arts. If anyone is interested in helping me with this project or would like to know more please contact me ASAP. Thank you so much.

Little rant

How come whenever an artist draws a short person they’re always chubby? I love the whole equal body movement, but hear me out. It means there’s also thinner short people. Short people have the same diversity that taller people have body wise. I have very broad shoulders a very small chest. I’m just saying short people deserve this diverse body movement more than just the cute chubby character.

That awkward moment that you forget you’re an artlbr and almost don’t post a picture you were excited about drawing <.<;;

I’ve been madly in love with the song and video of Yellow (attached below) and really wanted to try something with a similar restricted colour palette. Although it doesn’t have the same impact as the video visuals (I think its the slow animation that really pulls the video together) I’m still pretty happy with her ^u^ She’s lowkey a companion picture to this flash fiction I wrote the other day.
