like first of all: i get that "i dont incorporate race into my media analysis because i'm afraid of messing up" comes from a different place than "i don't incorporate race into my media analysis because I Don't See Race 😊 there is only The Human Race." but it has the same functional effect, right? that effect being that your analysis of [INSERT MEDIA HERE] ignores the very real way that race impacts people.

second of all: it feels kinda lazy! like ur saying "i dont know enough abt race to feel comfortable commenting on how race affects this show and i dont care enough to learn." the only way to become more comfortable discussing race is to actually practice discussing race. but when i see people saying this it feels like they're saying "i'm white, which means i don't know how to talk about race, and i don't have to know how to talk about race, and i don't ever have to know how to talk about race, so i'm choosing to never learn how to talk about race."

third of all: just because you don't openly talk about race doesn't mean you're any less likely to accidentally say or do something racist. implicit biases run deep, y'all. it's probably already there in your interpretation of the show. but the "i don't want to accidentally say something racist" implies that you are positive that your interpretation of the show isn't racist. and i'm not saying you're wrong. but i'm saying that if a person of color tells you that something you said about [INSERT MEDIA HERE] was racist, you better be prepared to actually listen and not just brush them off because "i can't be racist! i purposefully never talk about race just to make sure i'm not racist!"

which brings me to my final point: if you do accidentally say something racist... literally just apologize. if someone says you've been doing something racist, apologize and stop doing that thing. it's literally not that hard. i've done it. i've seen other people do it. He was a terrible diaper changer (like no fucking joke, I think he'd be scared to change another one), he'd seen you do it so many times but for some reason he could never avoid getting peed on

Would brag to everyone about how cute his little baby is, "My baby just got their first tooth, and they're learning how to crawl! They've also got the cutest little chubby cheeks."

If the baby looks like you he would literally talk about it all the time. "Beautiful, just like your mama."

He's had experience with babies because well... Natsu <3

After finding out you were pregnant he would tell EVERYBODY The two of you were walking together to get ramen and you guys walked into the restaurant and got seats. The waiter came to you two and asked what'd you like to drink. "Hey, guess what? My wife is pregnant! Isn't that amazing?! We're gonna have a baby!" You had to hide your face from embarrassment but the waiter just giggled, Bokuto is def a himbo, your himbo.

He enjoyed decorating the room for your baby

He would dead ass miss practice to go to your appointments for the baby

The first time he held your little bundle of joy he cried like a damn baby, he couldn't help it. It made him so happy that the two of you brought a life into the world.

He didn't let Kenma hold your child for awhile because he was scared he'd drop the baby :')

Very protective of your little one

He wanted the baby's first word to be "Volleyball" but it was "da da" which still made him very happy

Bo is very proud of the baby you two have created so I'm 100% sure he takes a bunch of himself with the baby to post on his social media

He was scared to change diapers but he soon got the hang of it

100% would get up in the middle of the night when the baby is crying, just to let you sleep. "The baby." You sigh loudly as you hear your little one cry over the baby monitor. "I'll go check on them. You get some rest." You turn your head to face him, "You sure?" He just smiled at you and kissed your temple. "100%"

Suna Rintaro: (ofwhuowghwoqrwq do i need to say anything else?)

He thought you were joking when you said you were pregnant (oops) "That's a good one." He turned his attention back to his phone. "Rin... I'm serious. Do you wanna see the ultrasound?"

A little more on the hesitant side. He didn't want to believe it, but you had the proof so like...

He was low key scared to fuck up, his father was not a very good father so he was scared to be the same way his father was.

He didn't even hold the baby for the first few months. "Rin, come on. You aren't your father. You have me to guide you through the process. Come hold our little one." He stalked up the stairs, "no."

After awhile you finally convinced him to have physical contact with the baby "The baby.. i-is smiling at me?" You giggle at him, "of course they're smiling at you. They love their daddy of course."

After he finally started being around the baby, you literally could not tear him away from that child.

Some days he'd take the baby to practice, to the grocery store, everywhere.

You had to pry the child from his arms most days. "Rin, give the baby here.." He looked at you like you just told him to give away his prized possession. "Hell no." You sighed. "Rin you have to go to work!" He shrugged his shoulders, "the baby can come with me, Komori enjoys taking pics of them during practice." Jeez.. this man truly is something.

Overall he was scared for nothing. He was a great father ;)

Somehow he convinced you to have another one... (weren't you the same one who didn't hold your baby for months?) he wanted to make up for the few firsts that he missed

Kozume Kenma: (oh Lord)

He asked "Are you sure it's mine?" (yeah... virtual slap rn)

He told you he wasn't ready and asked if you'd consider an abortion or adoption, it made you really sad but you realized Kenma wasn't ready

It really hurt him to hear you cry about giving up your child which made him wanna try for you

Did not know how to hold the baby for the life of him "Umm.. am I like- holding it right..?" You burst into laughter at the sight. "Ken, you gotta support their head." He looked down at his baby. "Oh..."

He decided that he needed to do research before he ventured further down the path of fatherhood.

Kenma was confused with diapers. "You... you want me to change its diaper?" You scoffed at him handing him a fresh diaper. "Our baby is not an 'it' Kenma!" He groaned as he took the diaper from you. "Why can't you change it?" You rolled your eyes as if it was obvious. "Because I won't always be there to do it myself, duh."

You were out with a friend one day which meant Kenma was on babysitting duty, he was tempted to call Kuro to come watch his child but he'd say something like, "Kenma, it's your responsibility as a father, blah blah blah.." So he and the baby just kind of sat there staring at each other. "What do you wanna do?" He asked the baby, knowing they can't talk. The baby proceeded to poke Kenma's cheek and yell out, "DA DA DA DA." Kenma thought it was cute and laughed softly. "Yep, that's me." The baby repeated saying 'da' for awhile until they tired themselves out. "You're a lot like me." That day it clicked, he finally understood what it was to be a father

He wasn't very affectionate but he tried to show his baby that he cared the best way he knew how

You saw the changes and it made you happy

You caught him cuddling the baby once, when you accused him of being affectionate he rolled his eyes half awake and said, "M'not being affectionate! Go awayyyy."

Doesn't want to admit to being soft for his baby :)

Okay so unless JJK is meant to be a tragedy, I have absolutely no idea how they're supposed to win against full-power!Sukuna. Unless Yūta somehow pulls the Six Eyes from his ass because he's Gojo's relative and because of Rika's ability to copy stuff? JJK's original OS had Yūta as the main character so I guess it could happen. Still, it feels lazy and forced. Like, why bother with the Sukuna vs Gojo fight and the "Gojo wins" statement?

Someone said that Yūta, Yūji, etc. might be trying to save Gojo right now and that's why they're not with Thunder guy. If that's the case, it would be great but even if Gojo survives, I don't see him fighting again simply because of how exhausted he'll be. Which means Yūta, Yūji and Maki will have to go against Sukuna once Thunder guy dies (unless Thunder wins but if that's the case I'm burning my merch).

And like... I get Gege wants to end his manga and doesn't like Gojo (like, why did you create him then? You're in charge of the plot my dude) but this is so fucking underwhelming.

Sukuna's backstory is non-existent and we're reaching the final fight, meaning he has nothing but charisma (aka Mappa and his VA doing god's work) and Yūji, the main character, is doing fuck all and doesn't even have a curse technique. He's sympathetic enough that I don't exactly need more and my boy needs to rest, but still.

Uraume is a complete enigma who has no bearing on the plot and even less explanations, and Kenjaku is apparently taking a holiday because wtf is he doing? Yuzu-something's plot relevance was killing Megumi's spirits in the dumbest arc I've read in a while. The bad guys in general are all so underwhelming.

Jogo and Mahito were much better villains. Mahito's power and cruelty were terrifying, the way he's an amalgamation of humans' hatred for/fear of each other was great. Like, I didn't need backstories for them because I know who they were and what they wanted. But we don't know what Sukuna and Kenjaku want, we don't know anything about them. It's... it's bad.

Also why did Sukuna wait to be against Thunder guy something to use his original form and Yuzu-something's gift? Is he scared of this guy whose name I can't remember to save my life but wasn't afraid of Gojo who dominated 99% of the fight? Like, what?

Found families in this game makes me crazy and the knights are a big found family.

Ill mainly talk about Jean, Kaeya, Lisa, Klee and Amber here because I didnt play enough to find Mika yet (but im reading his lines, hes just baby sibling) bc i got bored and my computer can't take it anymore and Eula and Albedo are more like an awkward cousin.

(i will talk less of Klee bc just- everyone knows how she is :sob:)

Im going to show a few lines i want to talk about then go crazy about it.

Ok so. Starting with Jean.

Lisa:

Kaeya:

Amber: (+ "Amber shut up abt Jean" bonus round)

Klee has way too many mentions of everyone sigh.

Anyways. THE RELATIONSHIPS.

You can see how everyone cares about Jean, everyone says she should rest and try to help her in the way they can.

For Kaeya, it's usually by helping her get shit together.

For Lisa, it's by inviting her for time offs and tea time.

For Amber it's a mix of both.

Klee is too young to understand how overworked is Jean, but she does know Jean can be tired.

Lisa and Jean are a special case, always together, Lisa is always inviting her for stuff, Jean is the first person Lisa sees in the morning, Jean even says Lisa makes her calm, they're a very married couple, god bless.

Kaeya and her have a fun friendship, she cares and worries for him and he does the same for her, it's mentioned in his story that sometimes she doesn't understands his methods, but she still considers him a good knight and trusts him entirely, as they were childhood friends, they probably have in each other a trust even higher than the usual.

Amber thinks extremely high of Jean, I'll explain parts of that a bit later, but you can see throufh everything, how Amber is always mentioning her, as if she wants to make Jean proud (eg: "Jean will be upset if she catches us lazying around like this") and cares about her opinion a lot. In turn, Jean seems proud of Amber and where is Amber going.

Klee seems to be a bit scared of Jean, but Jean still is extremely patient with her, despite getting her grounded for valid ass reasons, Jean cares and seems worried about Klee, and trusts her enough to help her fight sometimes, which is how Klee exploded a whole mountain.

With Lisa, things are a bit different but still fun.

Of course we have Jeanlisa being jeanlisa, Lisa always praises Jean and wants to help her, in turn, Jean has full confidence in Lisa's habilities, both magic and intelectual, so much that she lets Lisa in command whenever she's out.

Lisa and Kaeya are a funny pair, it's said that Lisa makes him do some stuff that should be her job, but they do respect each other. It doesn't have that much on this pair compared to the others.

Lisa seems to be a motherly figure of some sorts to Amber, who even mentions that Lisa tells her stories, and similar to Jean, Lisa also seems proud of Amber and wants to see where Amber is going.

Lisa and Klee are another motherly pair, where Lisa helps Klee with her explosives sometimes and Klee seems fond of Lisa.

Kaeya and his relationships are always fun because Kaeya doesn't really talk a lot about his life compared to sincerely everyone else.

As we know, Jean and Kaeya have the biggest respect and trust in each other, even when they butt heads because they're both stubborn as hell, Jean seems to respect his... Dubious methods, and he respects her decisions in return. They're the duo that if they go against you, you know you fucked up.

I did say as much as i coukd about Lisa and Kaeya already since Lisa didnt have a line about him that I could find.

Kaeya and Amber are a very... Weird pair. Amber is so wary of him, justifiable after the manga, but she still seems to trust him. She picks on him and he annoys her, but they still have a mutual respect. They're pretty much just siblings annoying each other. She says he doesn't trust her and treats her like a child, but in his voiceline about her you can see he does respect her habilities

Kaeya and Klee are also very fun. Kaeya seems to help Klee evade Jean, and help her do her things, in turn, Klee is always happy to be around him.

Amber is someone so fun to see her relationships due to unresolved abandonment issues.

She holds so much respect to Jean, and thats where i wanted to explain. In her profile it kept saying about the senior knights and how they took care of her, but she just wanted to show she is capable, so she was always wanting to go for stuff alone and during a fight, their vision towards her changed, to one of proudness once she helped with a monster.

I think at least two of those senior knights, are Jean and Lisa. Both said they saw her since they were younger and are proud of her now, and even Kaeya who "still treats her like a child" is aware of her habilities.

So they probably keep an eye on her, not out of not trusting her, just because they care. She's even part of Jean's morning routine excuse me im gnna cry.

Anyways Klee seems to treat Amber an older sibling, she loves the baron bunny and thinks Amber is very fun, Amber in turn also helps her escape from the wrath of Jean

I sincerely cant write much about Klee. Girlie is an open book 😭

Unfortunately, I miraculously still love Arturo, I looove freak characters so much (no one is surprised!!) and I do genuinely think there's potential to come out of his...... err.......... What definitely reads like blatant in-character transphobia. LOL. Seeing this man doubled over in terrifying euphoria is truly all I could've ever asked for, so I can't complain.

In general, Arturo weirdly doesn't read like a character that will progressively get worse and worse until he's put down like ol yeller, I feel that he's got some sort of redemption ahead of him,, whether or not he dies afterwards or in the middle of said redemption. Maybe with an attempt to get genuinely close to J but it's rejected and heartbreaking for him, more spiraling but you feel a little bad for him somehow. Idk. Not to be delusional but I also have this idea, that I REALLY hope is somehow true despite every piece of contradicting canon information, that Arturo is transmasc too ..... because like ..... whatever.. crosses my arms.. you wouldnt get it .........

They're like a chihuahua and a pitbull, ykno, ykno. Would not be surprised if Levi merked him but that might be too obvious of a kill so hmhmmhmhm.

Speaking of which;; they're also like waaaaaaayyyy playing up the possibility of either Whit and/or Eden dying soon. So I have a feeling they are safe...for now... maybe. Shrugs. I hope Eden gets another layer to her soon, either way, she is very sweet.... too sweet. Take that as you will.

Twisted Wonderland. Never really heard of it. What is it, what is your favorite character, why do you like them (and if the reason is just "I think they're hot" is valid bc I use that so often) and do you have any headcanons you are willing to die for?

Twisted wonderland is basically a game that's is co-created by disney! it's (in the most gen z way i can explain it) literally just a bunch of hot guys based off disney villains, your just kinda teleported there and your literally everyone's therapist because the school's headmage is too lazy to do anything on his own. sadly, it's not a dating sim but you can become good friends with all the characters !! 💞💞💞

My favorite character is riddle rosehearts because 1. He's so naturally likeable, i mean. He's an asshole during all of chapter 1 but then they hit you with this sad fucking backstory ab how his mom wasn't a good person and then you suddenly feel bad.

2. He's so scrunkly and less hot but more so cute, he un-admittedly has the biggest sweet-tooth and some parental trauma, which i can relate too but that's one of the last reasons i think he's cool. if i sat here and explained why i loved riddle in full detail, I'd end up rewriting the man's wiki

If he were in the real world, he'd be such a boomer, he's the type to tell you "tv rots the Brain." or gets scared when google assistant actives on his phone. 😭 😭 😭 💞💞

My headcanons; I'm gonna write headcanons for riddle.

Riddle definitely sleeps in a night gown and a little hat, and 100% gets made fun of for it, which i don't blame because it's so idk 💀

Riddle (canonically) has a golden king's staff, but i like to headcanon that it gets taken away by the teachers pretty often because riddle (canonically) has anger issues, and the teachers are afraid he might accidentally hit someone with it.

Riddle follows a strict diet, and the diet is that he organized his eating similarly to a school, so he'll eat breakfast, and then lunch after a few hours and then refuses to eat ever again for the entire day, despite being hungry, this man is a fucking soldier, what the hell 💀

Lasty, Riddle hates the sound of chewing, so if someone smacks around him, he gets irritated and tells them it's not ladylike/gentlemenlike to eat so loudly, they aren't eating loud, this man just has the ears of a fucking rabbit. He'll keep getting angry at you for it, whole time your like "I'm not eating anymore???"

This was super fun to write ngl, i wanted to keep the response decently short or medium length for the others who will read this. But, like 💞💞Riddle💞💞💞

Not unless they were walking around barefoot for some reason, but their floors are clean enough to eat off of. And you know these kids have a bidet. So like, they're clean enough. Hibiya will take the extra step though if he thinks there is so much of a sliver of a chance that he could take his pants off for someone in the near future. Baths or showers? What is their shower routine? Are they a top to bottom or bottom to top? Arms to head to toes? - Shower, then bath, but not always both. Kinda dictated by their mood, though Hibiya far less likely to take baths if he's showered. They've been taught to go top-down. So like, shampoo, conditioner, body; arms, body, legs. Do they have a skin care route? - Hibiya’s skin care is the bare minimum usually with a double cleanse (if it's at the end of the day), toner and moisturizer. Anything further like exfoliating might be a once a week thing or whatever he remembers to. Hibiko's skin care is more thought out, but that's because she has more fun with it. Her routine changes up on the daily as to not risk irritating her skin, with different actives and shit, but the basics are the same. She likes to experiment with what she uses and doesn't, but won't over do it either with too many steps.

Have they ever peed in the shower? - Maybe every blue moon. Never on purpose, but they won't hop out just to pee. I'll say Hibiya's more likely to because he's fucking lazy and tells himself it's to save precious, precious time. Slipped? - Naahh, Hibiya doesn't move around enough. Hibiko might have lost her balance once or twice from not paying attention, but not enough fall completely. Has anyone ever walked in on them? - Not in the shower, but in the bath it's inevitable. A maid thinks Hibi is somewhere else when really they're half asleep or reading a book in the bath, and they scare one another to death. It only has to happen once or twice before new maids are warned no matter how positive they are that no one's in the room, they need to knock first. Are they shower singers? Performers? - Noooo. At most they'll hum a little diddy if it's stuck in their head, but it's more of a time spent daydreaming on the future, past events, current desires. Closest I think would be practicing a speech or a lie.

Short or long? Scalding hot or luke warm? - Hibiko tends to take short, warm showers before baths, which is when she tends to kind of meditate on her day. Hibiya takes showers on the colder side and the length may very. He can do as little as wash his hair and face and get out, or kinda just stand there under the water for 15 minutes, disassociating. Would they ever bathe with someone? - Without a doubt yes. It's just a very sweet and intimate thing they would totally be down for if close enough with the other person. Hibiya would more likely want to at the end of a busy day to relax, while Hibiko would honestly try to make a routine thing.

What is their favorite part of getting clean? What is their least favorite? - Aside from like, feeling of before and after because hello, what is better than stepping out the shower/bath and being the cleanest you're going to be. The good, clean scents would also be a lot of fun. Koko particularly likes washing her arms and chest, no specific reason, and Yaya likes washing off all the soap on his body. Do they bathe every day? - Mmmm mostly. Because Hibi uses the time to shower as a time to relax, they're pretty good about it. Hibiko's better at it because it helps with washing off makeup and product out of her hair. But she's done fuck off that day, and is already content, then she might use the excuse to skip it. Hibiya's more likely to skip, but it isn't totally on purpose. He just won't think about it. What is the weirdest thing they've done in the shower? - Hibiya is totally the type to masturbate in the shower. I don't know if I would say it's weird, but that's the answer I'm giving. You know easy clean up, bam, done! Plus extra ambient noise so he doesn't have to hear himself so clearly. Perfect. Maybe the water would be less cold though.

I think the Americans are scared deep down of protesting like the French because many are just lazy and don’t want to be too uncomfortable by protesting. The French are based in that despite the hard shit and the tragedies, shit gets done. The Americans push back a bit, get scared when getting pushback by the elites and cling to their guns without using them to go back to their homes to whine at how awful their country is. Their country is huge and and if millions can come together to protest they can do it but they just won’t. I see it as they are only looking out for themselves deep down. the state of disability activism online atm is so depressing to me; it feels so motivated by hatred and superiority and not compassion or kindness or anything but a desire to be Better than other people

i'm not talking about posts like "hey guys it really does help depression if you take your meds on time and get some sunlight!" i'm talking about "if you don't have friends and don't go outside every day then you're a pathetic disgusting lump who's making yourself disabled on purpose" type shit. which i see. every day. on every site. Constantly. who is this strawman that stays home for weeks at a time and enjoys it and doesn't know that it's bad for them and is happily making themselves sicker on purpose?? who is this person?? oh right. they don't exist. you just hate anyone who's less functional than you.

and it is a constant thing. for example "intrusive thoughts discourse" where everyone talks about "intrusive thoughts are not Eat Crunchy Leaf it's thinking horrible violent sexual things you don't want to think! and if yours aren't that bad then you're a faker!" i have ocd (yes, diagnosed) and yeah i do have intrusive thoughts like that, often, and they're very distressing, etc etc. but like. i also have intrusive thoughts where i just fixate on something completely benign and physically can't stop thinking about it (ie something getting dirty, my neighbor making a weird noise) to the point of intense distress and even panic attacks. is that lol quirky weirdgirl faker because it doesn't involve anything violent or sexual? even though this is a serious and debilitating part of my illness where i don't sleep because i'm lying awake worried that the toilet might get dirty tomorrow??

Oof... Okay, I'll grade this trope for you, @remusbeingnormalwouldbeweird...

I understand why drunken confessions have appeal: it's all about "I love you so much and because of that I'm so scared to ruin what we have in case you don't feel the same way, and the only way I could ever risk ruining things is if I was under the influence", and also sometimes the mild angst the next morning of "OMG did I really do that?? What if I ruined everything??".

However,,,, I think it's an enormous cop-out in-fiction from both the writer's and the reader's perspective, rip.

Imo, it's a really lazy way to "skip to the end" of a romance, except that if there's drunkenness involved then the characters can't even be overcome with passion or w/e without there being consent issues (often hand-waved away with "oh they are not really that drunk any more so they can totally have wholesome lemons no problem", which again, is a cop-out by the writer).

Or there will be the drunken confession to the more sober party, who either basically says "you're drunk, go home" or stays up all night wondering if it's true or not etc, and then it all comes out properly in the morning. Better, I guess, but still disappointing tbh.

After all, the fact that the character needed liquid courage to do anything about their love has gotta be kinda sad to the recipient. Who only wants to be flirted with by someone who's drunk?? You can't even tell if they're freaking serious about it or not.

Even the morning after, when there's sober confessions, from a Watsonian perspective it's like...

Okay so if you hadn't gotten drunk, you still wouldn't have said anything about this? So you're not truly ready to be together then, with all the changes and consequences that it's going to carry, are you?

Obviously those things usually get hand-waved away by the writer (😮‍💨) but as a reader, I personally always end up thinking this kind of thing just from empathizing with the character. And tbh these aren't great feelings to have about a romantic partner, much less as the basis for a relationship!

So based on all that, I'm forced to give this trope a D...

A much better confession trope, imo, is the other character doing something sooo sweet or funny or insane that the other person literally can't help but blurt out that they're in love, even though they've been working so hard to shut the fuck up for ages. And with both of them fully mentally online, they can immediately make out about it... And maybe more. 😏

Did I talk about my 23 bday here? I'm not sure and I'm too lazy to check tonight.. this morning. It's better for me to write out here how it made me feel so hopefully I can let it go and figure out how to move on from that day. Ok to start I guess, as usual as of late, it was a depressing day for me still. Multiple reasons but the main thats more prevalent, now that I'm older and able to semi understand peoples general opinions of me, is that now that I'm very openly and loudly out as myself even less and less family is willing to make an appearance or even speak to me. My dumb and naive and sad kid brain still just wants people to eat with at my birthday, the more people who actually gave a shit about me who pass tho is causing an obvious drop in is willing to show. I get people are busy, I get busy, but it's not just my birthday that this is prevalent in, i go to other family dinners and other birthdays and plenty of people are willing to move things and make time for others because they're family. But those same people wouldn't talk to me outside of that predetermined family setting where its unavoidable to see me and where they're forced to chat with me, however brief. I love my family and I always have but the older I get the more I feel like an outsider for being myself. I can't lie and say I never thought about falling back into dark thoughts and just pretending to be okay being their granddaughter and niece again just to have a glimpse of the love I felt from everyone when I was growing up, from before I had the words to put to how I was feeling about my body, to how I was feeling about how others were seeing me as. I miss the dumb ignorance I had on my bad days because on those days I wish for nothing more than to feel their love where their new distance is and I blame myself on especially bad days where I make myself believe that I'm the one who fucked it all up, that it's my fault for that deeper love leaving a void whenever they have to be close to me. Certain members speak as little as possible to me, or make a point of being disinterested in whatever I'm saying or simply just don't speak to me.

On especially bad days I get depressed thinking of why it seems like all the people who honestly accepted and or cared for my best interests passed away, leaving everyone who only played along for that person then stopping when there's no on in their mind to keep up appearances for. It makes me wish I was taken with them, to where others accept me, but I know that wont solve anything. If anything it'd give people even more reason to be disinterested in being correct and polite, I'm scared to ever find out how many would turn and say they saw it coming, or to turn and say improper and incorrect things to everyone around saying I'm this or that just because there's no one to stop them. I know people say they'd care if I was suddenly gone, and I know a good amount who honestly mean that, but no matter what my dumb little brain is still worrying over those who'd probably call it a relief in their head about it.

This took on a deep deep dive into dark waters. I don't believe I'll come back to read this one, too much at once but I needed to get this out of my head, this has been in there for a while. Definitely a build up over the past years. I think my next plan shall be to finish my energy drink and to clean my room to keep as much of my stuff organized and away from others hands to take care of. Too much happening lately to focus on too many things which I already am. That will be another post. Later though, I'm definitely running on fumes and not just from tonight. So, I'm going through events that I didn't finish or skipped, and I'm reading through the Angelic event right now...

Yeah, I still really fucking hate it lmao

I will defend my position on the fence with liking, disliking, and understanding Diavolo, but I absolutely hate when he pulls shit that the brothers aren't comfortable with and just uses his authority to steamroll over their resistance. The fact that he should have known the brothers wouldn't be comfortable in their angel forms isn't even an argument up for debate. He was there from the beginning, he knows what the brothers lost during the war and what they suffered through, and despite his urge to do fun things that usually comes at the cost of Lucifer and the others sufferings, this should have been a line he knew better than to cross.

Simeon, on the other hand, has had three strikes with me, and I find him less than likeable. At the start, I tolerated him as a character mainly because I didn't have much opinion of him like I did with strongly disliking Lucifer and being uncomfortable with Asmodeus and feeling protective and simping the hell out of Mammon (opinions and feelings that have changed and intensified). Now, however, I can safely state that I don't care for Simeon at all. I hate some of the things he says or does, and I can easily name three points.

1. When Mammon and MC fake break-up, and Simeon calls Mammon useless. Like, Mammon loves MC so much and the progress he made to that point was exciting to see, and it makes me mad that Simeon would just insult Mammon like that for no other reason because Mammon didn't want to break up with MC, real or fake. He even mentions Mammon loving MC

2. When he insulted Levi and was kinda a dick to him during the TSL event

3. How he reacts and is just okay with what fucking happens with the brothers not only being forced to wear clothes with bad memories of a tragic time in their lives, but how he also just smooths over the fact the brothers are being altered from their personalities. He knew those bangles were imbued with a spell and didn't say anything about it until after the conflicting results of Michael's spell and Diavolo's magic. Disregarding the fact of the disaster, Simeon knew that the spell on the bangles changed the person wearing it to be more "graceful and elegant" or whatever. That's still a bad taste in my mouth that he didn't mention the spell until after the brothers had put them on. Simeon might not be intentionally underhanded (which he is) or conniving, but it was still shitty to not warn the brothers at least.

This event really disgusts me for the blatant disregard and uncaring attitudes Diavolo and Simeon (and Lucifer at the end) have regarding the brothers being essentially brainwashed to act as their old selves. No, not even their old selves. Lucifer alone has stated several times he'd rather disappear than return to heaven or ever be an angel again.

The boys aren't happy. They aren't comfortable or enjoying the influence the magic spell is having on them. They're being manipulated, and their lives are being "corrected" when they go against the angelic effects of the bangles.

Satan, for one example. He's never been an angel. He was born from Lucifer's rage and hatred as he fell (presumably from the UR+ card), so Satan ends up having an existential crisis. He was never an angel. There is no old version of him before being a demon for him to act as, so of fucking course he's going to be confused and uncertain about what is happening to him. He's being forced to be something he never was!

Poor Satan retreats to his room when MC admits him not being able to get mad actually unsettles and scares them. He already basically has Imposter Syndrome. Satan doesn't need to be forced to be at ease or peace. He handles his wrath really well.

Belphie sleeps a lot, yes, and he can be lazy and unmotivated, but he still gets shit done. The dude wrote a fucking analysis thesis on humans in What Sort of Cake? that Diavolo praises as a work that will be studied generations later. Belphie, despite my lingering feelings of unresolved tension, is a decent fellow under his persona. He does love Lucifer despite their issues, and he knows his brothers care about him. He has ways of displaying his appreciation and love, but the spell makes him choose to do all the outgoing things he says he'll do. So, it's... not fake, per se, but it's not authentic.

Beel. Beel has fucking PTSD because of the Celestial War and what happened to Lilith. He's deeply impacted from the loss and devastation, even centuries later. He holds himself responsible for Lilith's death. He chose to save Belphie, and he believed that Belphie blamed him for Lilith's death too. He has a fear of losing Belphie in the same form of Lilith. It brings him to such a state that he screams in desperation. It's his biggest fear.

Not to mention how this effect from the bangle technically helps Beel in the worst way. He says when he fell to demonhood he felt something "let go" and he just started eating continuously. With the bangle, he doesn't desire to eat everything, but he becomes selfless and wants to cater to others. That's not a bad thing, but it's not his actual choice and not how he was as an angel. As an angel, and in general, he's deeply caring, very loyal, and loves his family.

If Beel gets a character growth arc like Mammon, if Beel can move away from constantly eating to fill the emptiness he feels, I want it to be done in a way similar to how Mammon has changed with only being happy having money. The way he is in the event, wanting to cater to other people more and foregoing himself, isn't natural or growth.

Levi, as well. He starts to give up and forfeit everything he enjoys. I'm not saying being a hikikomori is a healthy thing (it's how Solmare has described Levi), but he is who he is, and he's a reclusive otaku that loses himself into anime, manga, games, books, and 2D fiction. It's his comfort, it's what he loves and cherishes. He gives that all up to mend his actual relationships, and I'm definitely not saying that that's a terrible thing to do, but it's not his choice.

In my opinion, Levi is very relatable to how he uses 2D content to escape from reality, and it hurts to see him lose that sense of connection, especially against his will. Of course I want Levi to be able to tell MC how he feels about them, but I don't want that at the expense of him losing his sense of identity or through magic that makes him act as he admits his feelings, as honest as that admission might be. It's not Levi saying it through free will.

On the same note as Levi, let's talk about Asmo. He also gives up a lot of his materialistic possessions. Asmo has a sense of security of self and pride in those things, i.e. his clothes, make-up, etc. He just gives that all up to MC. Asmo feels like he has to be the best at all times or otherwise people won't love him. The fact he wants to give that up and start loving himself for who he is on the inside instead of being vain on the outside is a good step forward, but he didn't come to that conclusion himself.

Mammon. Mammon isn't Mammon if he's not Mammon-ing. Of course I don't agree with him stealing from his brothers and acting devious in ways that pulls others into his schemes that backfire, but Mammon isn't all that terrible. @thalfox said it best (I tried finding the post they made to quote them, but I can't) that Mammon is the most human among the demons and angels. He's too bad to be an angel, but he's too good to be a demon. He's caring, he's nurturing, he's loving. He has a soft spot for his younger brothers. He can handle kids well, and he practically gives child support to witches to take care of a little girl. He's selfless and emotionally empathetic. He loves MC to death and back, and he is so in love with them that he's changing in his ways. He says so many times, and I don't just mean him being shy and embarrassed with his feelings.

Of course he's greedy and selfish and arrogant, obnoxious, purposefully does the wrong things, he's sneaky and conniving, a thief, a liar, and a gambler. That's all aspects of him being a demon, and we know little of him being an angel. He was content with a lazy job despite being hardworking and more capable than he showed, but I don't know how much we don't know about him as an angel and how much of him has actually changed from his fall to demonhood (like how Asmo was still vain in his looks as an angel).

Mammon, aside from the stuff I already stated, doesn't need to change anything. He doesn't need to turn into a philanthropist to be better. For as selfish and greedy as he is, he's also thoughtless and giving. He doesn't need to be forced to alter himself.

What makes this event hurt more is the fact that even after Lucifer gets his senses back, he takes advantage of his brothers still being under the spell. He knows how it felt to be forced to act against his will, and as someone he hated being for the most part.

Like, I can't bring myself to enjoy it, and I wonder who actually did, minus for the outfits

I can sense the irony of this rant turning into an analysis of how the brothers are versus how they could be as angels with 100% good intentions, and that was probably the point in a way (and I hate to admit this works in my favor as an antithesis for my Dark Obey Me AU) but the attitude of everyone minus Solomon gets under my skin, and I will never like this event for the manipulation and detached mindsets the characters have.

꒰꒰ before getting married to megumi, you had to go through two people in his life; the real father and the fake excuse of a father.

꒰꒰ of course the latter was easier to handle with compared to the real father, who in fact dotes on you lots after he had witnessed you shoulder throw the nearest bitch who tried to touch you when you were out shopping.

꒰꒰ you and tsumiki are obviously very close after taking the surname fushiguro, taking turns cooking or even cooking together meals for the family. though, toji shortly enters the kitchen and starts eating the food midway.

꒰꒰ there are times when you and tsumiki are out, the men of the family would buy take out because they're too lazy to cook for themselves. you and tsumiki scold them when you get home and tell them they don't get food.

꒰꒰ then there are other times when toji and megumi would just be fighting for,,, whatever reason.

꒰꒰ that usually ends up with tsumiki throwing spatulas and a bunch of other kitchen utensils.

꒰꒰ though there was a time that she had somehow took the knife you were using to cut pork and threw it at them when megumi and toji were arguing in the kitchen.

the sound of a knife is flung in between the father-son duo, it's sharp end digging deep within the wall as the blood from the pork you were cutting it with drips down the grey paint. toji and megumi halt their aggressive words, eyes wide open as they stare at each other before looking at the knife just half a foot between their faces.

"sorry! i didn't mean to throw the knife!" tsumiki quickly moves her feet towards her father and brother to check if they were alright. the two males took a closer look at the night, she even killed a fly in the process.

you stood in your spot to stare at the sight before you. "gumi," you call out to your husband who turns to look back at you. "yeah?"

"your sister scares me."

꒰꒰ the other times to when they argued, toji would bring out his worm and megumi would summon his shikigami

you return home with tsumiki after buying groceries to hear a loud 'demon dog; totality!' from inside the house, and then in less than five seconds the white door which was installed two weeks ago is broken to bits when you witness your father get thrown out by your husband's shikigamis. you and tsumiki stop to watch as toji brings out the worm from his mouth, a pissed megumi walking out from the broken door and yelling curses at your father.

"who's turn is it to pay for the door?" you ask, blinking your lashes as you hear tsumiki sigh. "i'm pretty sure it's tou-chan's turn to pay."

꒰꒰ a lot of things break in the house often.

꒰꒰ in return, they pay for it and do the chores. though tsumiki threatened them.

꒰꒰ somehow you question why toji and megumi would be afraid if tsumiki were ever to get mad, then you're reminded about the time she threw a knife with accuracy to stop them from fighting.

꒰꒰ sometimes it's just hard to spend quality time with your husband at home when toji is around because he will purposely find ways to annoy megumi.

꒰꒰ you have gotten used to waking up two in the morning to get a midnight snack in the kitchen and witness toji come home in blood.

꒰꒰ that saying, you have also gotten used waking up two in the morning for a cup of water to witness both toji and megumi cooperating to tie up some person who tried to assassinate either or.

"burglar or assassin?" you nonchalantly ask after walking downstairs and pouring a cup of water for yourself. you hear megumi say, "came for the old man."

"i see," after finishing your drink you place the cup in the sink to wash tomorrow morning, glancing once more back to the two fushiguros that stood in front of a cursed user tied up on the floor as one or tojj's weapons were at their neck. you nod, waving your hand. "goodnight."

"i'll be in bed soon, bunny." megumi announces as he tightens the rope around the hands of the intruder, you flash a smile their way, waving your hand and making your way up the stairs. "alright, night tou-chan."

"yeah, sleep well, y/n." you grin at yourself when toji bid you night, though at the same time the said man had to stuff a cloth in the intruders mouth when megumi was instructed to stab the hand when he screamed, continuing on with their interrogation before disposal.

꒰꒰ you and tsumiki one way or another can always drag both toji and megumi out to go shopping, using them as your personal bag carriers.

꒰꒰ when you're lucky toji pays for it all. he actually loves spoiling his daughters but he would never say that.

꒰꒰ toji is constantly asking you and megumi when you'll have kids, saying that it would be good money if they got the cursed technique. it always angers megumi when he says it that, but you know that's just toji's way of showing that he wants grandchildren.

꒰꒰ on that topic when you're left in the house with toji, he'd casually ask you if megumi is fucking you hard enough and why you're not pregnant yet.

꒰꒰ you spit your water at his face that time.

꒰꒰ other times toji would invite you to a horse stadium and watch horse racing with him. but this one time you saw a t-rex costume race on the tv and quickly called toji over

"i bet five thousand yen on t-rex twelve." you point to the tv where they were broadcasting about fifteen people having a race in a t-rex costume in a horse racing stadium. toji looks plainfully at you, "you're disowned as daughter in law."

but you'd still see the small smile on his face as you hear laughing and snickering from tsumiki and megumi in the back.

Sannin headcanons and thoughts

The last thing I would like to post for the sannin week. It is still 24.04 here! :D @sannin-central

This is long. Spoiler alert. Mostly Orochimaru, some Tsunade, a little of Jiraiya (because his story is pretty clear and spoken and idk what I can add). Also I recommend to read this meta about Orochimaru, it has influenced me a lot and has some good points. Sorry for any posible grammar mistakes. Also I really should put here a lot of references to the manga or anime but it was something that was piling up for a year and I'm soooooooo lazy. After all, those are just headcanons. Also: Im not excusing Oro's bad stuff here, Im trying to understand the reasons.

Ive already posted some hcs, here, here and here.

1. First if all, the chronology pic of sannin lifetime based on the info i found on naruto wiki and also some statements about wars from this post. It was tough considering what a mess naruto’s chronology is.

2. Sannin story shows what it cost to be a legend. They're like Team 7 but more realistic. Tsunade literally carried the war but left with nothing and developed a ptsd and have problems to just live on. Also anger control issues. I think she can be pretty bossy and stubborn which is not always nice. Jiraiya is the hero of the day but also very idealistic and can ignore some important details in the real word whether its the fight (he always injured during flashbacks maybe because each time he took too much to handle and on the one hand it's heroistic but on the other is a mistake that can lead your team to situations like in that Iwa cave) or your friends issues (I bet he saw what's going on but thought it's fine until Oro actually got red handed and left). He lives in his world and may have problems to get out to see it through someone else's shoes. As for Orochimaru, it seems like he was a normal guy for 20+ years (I mean, he didn't do crazy criminal shit and had something good in him and it was stated somewhere that it was his teammates influence. It is obvious they considered him as a friend, I don't thinks it was for nothing) but we mostly know his darkest side. Despite being a moster he is a human that have empathy and some ordinary human traits (man just decorates every bit of an environment he is in lol).

3. Tsunade was the leader of team Hiruzen.

4. Tsunade sometimes hit Jiraiya for some stupid things he did or said but never touches Orochimaru even if he did something same. Jiraiya complained about it once and almost got another hit.

5. Jiraiya had problematic parents that didn't care about him much and a lot of time he was wandering in the streets.

6. Judging by the look of Oro bangs and hair, he sometimes cut it off. A stress relief huh? And the fact that he doesn't do it now in Boruto..

7. It was shown that Tsunade and Orochimaru was acknowledged before they become a team. Maybe they did just before, or maybe some longer time before. I prefer the second option and hc that they met because both had no real friends - Orochimaru seemed weird and scary for everyone and Tsunade was Senju so everyone wanted to hang out with her but didn't really care. They weren't seen as what they were - people put the labels on them. But they didn't care about each other's labels and actually saw each other in true lights.

8. Tsunade knew it was an accident and it's not right but still she blamed Orochimaru for Nawaki's death for some time. It was something that seriously damaged their friendship and the team. Orochimaru was mad but also guilty, after all, he was responsible at least as a shinobi since Nawaki was under his watch. So he started to act cold and emotionless and was trying to distance himself from his teammates.

9. Jiraiya was in Ame while Dan died.

10. The whole his orphans mission was a bit irresponsible tbh. They already fought Hanzo and as he stated the conflict between Konoha and Ame is going to an end with Konoha's win. It's weird to stay here for three years in the middle of the war while there were other lands to fight. He left his teammates for some idea. Maybe that caused another crack in their team friendship.

11. If Tsunade would have find a way to live on with her trauma and follow the will of fire and stuff it would affect Orochimaru as well just as her grief affected him. It's like he would get an example that you can live on with this pain. So death isn't above human capability and we are not just the slaves of mortality (sounds stupid but i dont know how else to describe sorry). But as we know what he actually saw is that it broke her crucially to the point she couldnt be herself again. And so the death is above everything.

12. Oro wasn’t just acting as a cold pragmatic bitch in that cave but also tried to save Tsunade. Jiraiya knew it and that’s why he showed this sign to him like "I see what youre doing here" and that stunned Oro because he would prefer to look rather like a cold pragmatic bitch hehe

13. Just a thought. People in the village probably treated Oro as a foreigner or just wouldnt accept him because he looked so differently and had a weird attitude. That's why he sometimes didn't feel that Konoha is his home. After the wars where people were treated as means and tools, even the children, he himself developed this view on people - he dehumanized them and used as the means to his goals, just as his village did. Funny thing some people were straightly dehumanizing him too like Ibiki thought that he was a demon (tho he was a child). And he probably weren't the only one. Anyways the point is that it's logical that Orochimaru don't care about anybody but some few people, he's the product of his era. He's like Naruto that would chose the hatred way. But naruto had some good and understanding people around him and.. Orochimaru had them too, but match how Iruka treated Naruto and this Hiruzen's "I sAw tHe mAliCe in This cHiLd fRoM tHe BegGinNinG". And oro didn't even have a big ass evil fox in him. sry i hate hiruzen

ANYWAYS the moral of the story is not "go criminal if they hurt you" but always treat people like people. Waving my hand to Kant.

14. The reason why Orochimaru didn't pick some good morals to stick with through the hard times no matter what (like, idk, Jiraiya or Naruto) is because 1) I think he is/was pretty depending on people around him 2) the war fucked him and his friends up too much (Nawaki incident + Tsunade) 3) twisted addictions (though I don't think he's that sadistic, we never saw him torturing randoms just for fun, it was always some science experimental shit. He tends to get fun out of cruelty only when it's personal) that maybe developed as a way to sublimate anger and sadness caused by his parents loss (that's what they share with sasuke - unlicke naruto, they knew their parents and it's other kind of pain. Sasuke developed a revenge issue and Orochimaru - cruelty pleasure which... is kinda the same but less epic and more occasional lol).

15. Speaking of that, Orochimaru cared for Sasuke because he saw himself in him.

16. Oro hold grudges against Hiruzen for not choosing him to be Hokage not only because he was ambitious and/or egoistic, but also because Hiruzen was some kind of a father figure for him and his approval was important tho i doubt he was aware of that. He also probably could tell that Hiruzen was suspicios about him when he was a child and that led to many conflicts and was hurting as well.

17. Tsunade knew things weren't pretty with Orochimaru after the wars but she never expected them to be this bad. During the week that she was given in her arc she thought not only about how much she wants to see Nawaki and Dan again despite how wrong would it be but also was trying to bury all the good memories she had left of Orochimaru so it would be easier to kill him.

18. She poisoned Jiraiya exactly because she knew he would not let her do it. Jiraiya was always hesitant to kill and inclined to forgiveness, while Tsunade, as mentioned by Orochimaru, could be merciless (so much so that he was not surprised when Kabuto suggested that she wanted to use Jira for Edo Tensei).

19. That was one of her traits that scared Jiraiya and fascinated Orochimaru.

20. Remember how Oro grabbed Jiraiya's neck when the latter was trying to cover with hair jutsu? On the snake, in Tsnade's arc. Orochimaru could have easily kill Jiraiya by pulling the sword out of the mouth (arteries are right there) but he didn't. As well as he could kill Tsunade when she was still shaking - just aim for the neck or the heart. Instead, he just injured her lung and kicked her which is not a big deal for the kind of shinoby like her at all.. Also he helped Anko not accidentally kill herself but it would be way much profitable to let her do it. "Orochimaru has no feelings".

21. The reason he suddenly wanted to kill Tsunade instead of forcing her to heal his arms as it was planned (which is weird since it will not going to get him heals and he kinda said that he wouldn't want to kill her just minutes ago) is that not only she refused to help him (he thought he could work it out) but she also prefered the village over him (from his point of view). Out if everyone she was the closest to being able to understand him since the village caused her painful losses too but nevertheless she agreed to be on it's side.

22. He wasn't fighting her back in the end partly because he thought he deserved that. Somewhere deep inside hahah.

23. Tsunade got a fear to develop deep bonds so they probably weren't very close with Shizune (also the way she knocked her down in this hotel.. oh).

24. Orochimaru will be here when she'll die.

25. Orochimaru's eng dub to Tsunade: "I often wondered what it would be like to ring that pretty neck yours". No comments.

26. Orochimaru is either bi/pan or ace. Anything or nothing lmao

27. Hiruzen knew about at least some of the Oro’s illegal experiments and was okay just as he was okay with the Foundation all the time. Because it’s useful. Then he has discovered he went too far OR he knew everything and oro just became too inconvenient because of his methods. The way Orochimaru tells Sasuke about reasons they are well treated as the criminals is based on in his experience with Hiruzen.

28. As you may know the lyrics in Orochimaru’s music theme goes “don’t talk with the silence of the heart”. It was taken from one Indian song that also had lines like “don’t question life too much”, ”pain arose somewhere in the chest”, “don’t speak to the wounds of the heart”. Though I’m not sure 100% because I was translating it with some hindi dictionary with like zero knowledge of hindi

29. I like to think that this “silence of the heart” theme and the fact that he called his village a hidden sound village are somehow connected. The hidden sound is the possible explanation of all things waiting to be listened to but the truth is silent and you know it deep in your heart and it bothers you. The world is silent just like the life is meaningless but people can only hear. *Sigh* anyways

30. Orochimaru’s journey is the one about accepting death. When he saw Karin released her chains while was trying to get to Sasuke he understood that the death is a part of human’s strength.

Can’t wait to feel that everything I wrote is wrong or not enough or stupid and obvious lol. Anyways, it’s something that I wanted to share until I move to some other fandom.
