Something that I see continuously left out of aspec discussions regarding ways aspecs may or may not connect with fellow humans, is the fp bond.

The acommunity is open and accepting about other forms of attraction that are not romantic and sexual, and even has a Split Attraction Model, and at the same time there are aspecs with personality disorders that exist. We experience something that aspecs that don’t have personality disorders fail to address, and that is the fp bond.

In my experience, the fp bond feels like an attachment more than an attraction; I don’t necessarily feel a “pull” since I am already pulled in/already connected/already attached. The fp experience is different for everyone tho. For some pw PDs, I think it can manifest as the symptoms of the PD lessening around the fp, or the symptoms of the PD worsening around the fp. The fp of someone with a PD may feel like someone who the pw the PD can tolerate “the most” out of anyone else/feel comfortable unmasking around, or the fp could be someone who the pw the PD feels their world revolves around.

Either way, the fp bond is something that is typically significant for pwPDs. It can be a game changer in terms of human connection, especially for aroaces and aspecs who are also aspec in ways besides romantic and sexual attraction, such as aplatonic, asensual, anaesthetic/non-aesthetic, etc.

Awareness and acceptance for people with personality disorders is essential. Our experiences (including the bond with the fps) are important valuable parts that make up the acommunity. I just think it would be so interesting and validating if, when aspecs are discussing ways aspecs experience human connections, or why they may choose to do things that society does not understand, the fp bond was included.

Some aroace people may do something as casual as becoming roommates with their fp (I have personality disorders where the people experience extreme fear or high anxiety in mind, to make things like grocery shopping easier)

Some aroace people may do something as serious as getting married to their fp, because they feel like they genuinely could not live without their fp and want the commitment, tax benefits, and other perks of getting married (like making a big deal about the wedding instuff)

Both of these are valid and deserving of acceptance. Aspecs may be a marginalized group, but that doesn’t change the fact that pwPDs are also just as marginalized (if not more, since society stigmatizes pwPDs). This is why Awareness, discussions, and acceptance of intersectionality between being aspec and having a PD is essential for aspec pwPDs.

Nicholas Wolfwood Twitch Handle: NicoThePunisher Vash's roommate and closest friend, Nicholas is a part-time streamer who specializes in horror and FPS titles. He's known as being remarkably hard to rattle, responding to jumpscares and screamers with barely more than a blink. Most fans are tuning in for his scathing commentary, and even though he only streams every few days he's developed a devoted fanbase. He's sick and tired of Vash gushing about how much he loves your streams. Plays the Paladin class on No Man's Land.

Meryl Stryfe Twitch Handle: Stryfe's Records Meryl is a news/current events streamer and video producer, both for global news and news occuring in the creator space. She keeps herself and her loyal viewers up-to-date on all the latest drops, hits, and scandals, doing her best to separate her own opinions from her videos in the name of journalistic integrity (though her feelings tend to slip through the cracks anyway, she's very passionate). She's been a friend of Vash's since high school, and though she knows he could use his smarts to do some amazing things, she's glad he's found something he really enjoys doing. When she does choose to kick back and game with her friends, she plays the Summoner class on No Man's Land.

Milly Thompson Insta Handle: ceylonandcircuits Meryl's best friend and roommate, Milly is a competitive weightlifter and tea enthusiast who usually ends up accidentally appearing in the background of Meryl's streams and vlogs. Because of her soft and friendly demeanor as well as her incredible buffness, she's somehow amassed her own little fanbase amongst Meryl's viewers despite not having much of an online presence herself. Her Instagram page got very popular after she accidentally dropped her handle during Meryl's livestream.

Nai Saverem Twitch Handle:MillionsKnives Vash's older twin brother, Nai is not a streamer and has little to no interest in joining his brother's antics. He knows Vash is smart, as smart as he is at the very least, and that if he just applied himself a little more he could be doing some really amazing things with him to change the world. Majored in Conservation Biology with a minor in Humanities, Nai is a certified genius with better things to do than watch his brother's group of friends play video games together on the internet. He certainly isn't subscribed under the handle ‘MillionsKnives’, running Vash's streams in the background of his work computer and occasionally redeeming bits for hydration and posture checks, that's for sure.

Livio Wolfwood Twitch Handle: DoubleFang Nicholas’s younger step-brother and Vash’s friend, Livio has recently sought to reconnect with his brother after a turbulent and emotional childhood and Livio’s eventual running away from home. For several years Livio struggled with Dissociative Identity Disorder, and has only in the past year or so begun to find some level of balance within himself and with his protective alter, Razlo. Both of them were quite nervous about reentering Nicholas’s life, but he welcomed his brother back with open arms. Though Livio is a large and intimidating man at first glance, on the inside he’s quite the softie, and enjoys watching Vash and his brother play games together, occasionally joining in when he has the free time. He’s an elementary school gym teacher as his day job, and will often join Milly at the gym for their workout routines when their schedules line up. Plays the Berserker class in No Man’s Land.

sara and joe yttd for the thing

going to put this under a cut for the sheer length. tldr everybody is arospec

sara - i think she’d grow up to be a lawyer, she’s very attentive to details and good at memorization, and i just generally think it would be a good career for her. i think as an adult (late 20s onward) she would probably live with ryoko and joe. i’m projecting a bit here but i feel like sara has a complex relationship with romantic attraction (in part due to her neurodivergence) and is often unable to tell the difference between romantic, platonic, and queerplatonic feelings. because of this she doesn’t like to label her relationships. when her and joe and ryoko became a thing in high school, she was still dealing with a lot of internalized amatonormativity and tried to force herself to be their "girlfriend" but it just didn’t work. over the years their labels for each other changed a lot but as an adult she prefers to just call them her fiancees. nao and her are in a committed unlabeled relationship as well (nao has bpd and sara is her fp, for context). i think as an adult sara would very much like to have kids, but she wouldn’t be able to have them herself (she’s transfem as is ryoko and joe got his tubes tied pretty much as soon as he was legally and financially able to), so she’s very active in the lives of everybody else’s kids and she’s considering becoming a foster parent. with her job as a lawyer she’s pretty well-off but she’s not like an asshole about it, she supports her family (family as in the rest of the yttd cast) and she donates to charities and all that jazz to be a functioning member of society instead of a plague on it.

joe - he’s a communist. slash jay. probably. anyway i think he’d probably find a career in music as well as trying to help shut down police corruption (keiji is like the older brother he never had which is of course an influence on this career path lol) and working with kids! he probably works at a daycare as his "main job". like i mentioned when talking about sara, he lives with her and ryoko. his comfort levels when it comes to his involvement in romance fluctuate day-to-day, so that some days he considers himself their househusband, others their best friend, and others their roommate. he really wants kids but like i said he can’t really have them himself, he wants to maybe try adopting someday when his and his fiancee’s lives become less hectic. for now though he fills that need with his daycare job and with babysitting the others’ kids. unrelated but i like to think he has an on-and-off crush on nao. i just think it’d be funny.

[name]: a burnt out competitive psychology major who somehow IS an academic genius? but they’re also one foul bastard. LOVES romance but is so unexperienced with love??? yosano’s no. 1 headache, loves random coffee trips and gets excited over whatever they’re interested in. lives with their roommate who is absolutely DONE with [name]'s shit. after arising to popularity due to their class standing the former year, they lately have been involved with the student council due to their wits. a little dumb sometimes, an ass too whenever having to deal with their emotions. stressed, running on coffee, and with sheer determination that’s slowly wavering, they try their best to survive. NEVER ask them about their love life, they will kill you. in exchange for yosano’s advice, they became her drinking buddy. enjoys fps and horror games, sometimes being invited by random people in the uni. their classes clash with some philosophy sections, leading to meeting fyodor, and becoming close enough to add him to the friend group. complains about everyone and everything and is very entertaining to listen, always has an opinion about everything but actually makes sense?? they’re really complicated that fyodor can’t make sense of them sometimes, although their intelligence is something to revel in, it’s very clear they’re incredibly mentally challenged.

yosano: [name]’s no. 1 confidant. a talented second year biology major, she’s sly, confident, and intimidating to those who have heard of her. she has heard every and all drama and has been involved in most of them. aside from her talent, she showcases her ruthlessness and confidence when involved in any drama. her methods of studying are questionable, but nobody in the friend group ever seems to question it. involvement in such drama led her to form a friendship with chuuya, whom the latter is as equally as immersed with drama as she is. the group knows she has unresolved beef with kajii, promising that she’ll find him the second the latter is unsuspended. she is mostly seen with ranpo, her childhood best friend. despite her imperturbable nature, she deeply cares about those she’s close with. rarely ever showing this side to anyone, as well as her friend group, she shows it in subtle ways. yosano also enjoys drinking with her friends after stressful weeks, especially finals, or when her professor becomes insufferable again. she is not really a responsible drinker, and spouts whatever comes to mind when drunk. when the opportunity arises, she invited [name] to go shopping with her, the former carrying most items (they can’t fight w yosano). the group is a bit scared of how composed and organized yosano is as a biology student.

chuuya: an ambiguous sociology major. dazai’s number one fucking hater, at least, that’s what almost everyone in uni knows him as. their rivalry rooted in high school, carrying over to university. despite his temperament, he’s incredibly hardworking and shockingly can speak french. the founding father of kys/die jokes. many think he’s unproblematic save for the ongoing problems he has with dazai, but just like yosano, is up to date with the drama in his school (but is never involved with it). is incredibly reasonable with his opinions about topics, making him admirable in his juniors’ eyes. takes pride in his academic abilities, knows his capabilities as a student and never takes it for granted. aware of his prideful demeanour, he puts it to good use to impress his colleagues. this leads him to being chosen often as a representative for competitions (he always wins). chuuya, however, isn’t immune to feelings of doubt, struggling enough that he masks it with this conceited behavior (although it isn’t noticeable by anyone other than the group and unironically dazai), which blossomed during the first year of high school. just like yosano, he enjoys drinking wine on occasion, the two discussing anything when both of them are free. he’s aware that he rose to popularity simply because of his once-close association with dazai, but this awareness doesn’t stop him from devoting himself to his studies and living up to his name. the group doesn’t really know the exact details of what happened between chuuya and dazai, but they know not to pry. he won’t admit it, but chuuya is incredibly thankful to have them.

sigma: an overly stressed student majoring in business management. a rich person, everyone's out for their money like calm down??? he's already struggling so much. incredibly patient, the mediator for chuuya and yosano's shenanigans. although they already inherited the casino their parents passed down to him. has unresolved drama between teruko, the latter bursting into his casino one day and deciding to disrupt its flow. promised that it was for her project, sigma had enough of her antics and tried to kick her out. embarrassed, the casino manager apologized as the casino sustained some damage. he vowed to never let teruko in again and refuses to speak to her when teruko tried to apologize. sigma, already stressed from the arduous paperwork from the casino, can barely keep up with his work from college. this leads to him staying off social media for long periods of time, only ever looking at the group chat and never responding. the group is already used to this, [name] reminding them to take care of themselves. she's a nervous, quaint person, who dislikes public speaking and confrontation from others. despite his anxious nature, his demeanor can switch from timid to a more stern, reserved persona when need be, and the group never fails to be amazed by this. he also deeply cares for the group despite her incredibly busy schedule, one of the most responsible people in the group, and chuuya trusts him enough to tell her what happened between dazai and him. their hard work pays off, as it should, as he lands himself in the top 10 of her block most of the time.

fyodor: a seemingly intimidating philosophy major with an academic record one can only dream of having. deemed a prodigy by many, he lands himself on the second or first spot on the list every release of the university's final examination results. of course, he can only maintain that first spot for long, as he's been overthrown by dazai for a number of semesters. as a playful response, fyodor and dazai banter with each other by outsmarting one another. people across the school think that this rivalry between two prodigies is serious, however, fyodor and dazai are actually good friends. despite his composed attitude, friends of his aren't immune to his random outbursts of energy, finding it endearing. he's also nikolai's childhood best friend. the professors think his intellect already covers enough to serve him well. has a minor in music, although only a selected few know about it. other than that, he enjoys watching anime (mostly what catches his eye, he cannot be persuaded to watch anime recommended to him) but enjoys reading books in a cafe more than anything. also knows any and every event going on in school, as professors and students confide in him for these announcements. he was the student council president in his high school but gave up his position as he had to move to 文学 uni. uncharacteristically, his professional nature doesn't extend to school drama, as he was aware of everything going on. the reason why yosano and chuuya know about these events is due to fyodor, who tells them everything whenever he has the opportunity, which is hidden so well that none could ever guess how yosano knew about the smallest things occurring within the school. also has dirt on professors but that's only for him to know. is also friends with everyone?? the student council doesn't interact with him for some reason. has a passion for writing and has a special interest in psychological horror (watches with [name] sometimes to analyze it afterwards)

ranpo: arguably the smartest person in the group when it comes to academics. experienced in everything criminology, he has been a favorite of many professors during high school due to his intellect. he was offered a scholarship, which landed him a spot in 文学 uni. known to have a rather eccentric personality, only a handful of people can handle his boastful and prideful remarks about his class standing. he's the loudest in the room, answering questions without even leaving a second to spare. despite this, he can be serious when the situation calls for it, which proves true during yosano's experience with kajii, and sigma's incident with teruko. he took it upon himself to prove the innocence of both his friends, and to this day, he tried to keep his involvement under wraps. he's known to be a bit unpredictable at times, switching from his immature behavior to something completely opposite of what he originally displays himself as. although he places himself as the top criminology student, he cannot do basic tasks for shit, which is why he is almost around yosano most of the time. this becomes a habit, yosano having to deal with his inability to do basic things, with ranpo occasionally asking his other friends for help when she's not around. in exchange, he happily helps them with their homework, landing beside sigma most of the time. he claims his great memory and his amazing intellect come from his sweet tooth, which also enables his childish nature immediately. was also once an academic rival of dazai's, and also fyodor's during his first year. although many students find him annoying, they cannot deny that he is a prodigy at what he does. you wouldn't know of his true capabilities if you aren't his friend. his arrogant and puerile exterior lures you into the thought that you can't become friends with him with that mindset.

ranpo and yosano work at the cat cafe prof. fukuzawa secretly manages, and that's mostly where [name], fyodor, and sigma hang out. chuuya seldomly comes over in fear of getting distracted by the cats, but the group ushers him to come anyway, and he accepts it regardless.

chuuya holds the group to his heart despite the numerous death threats he gives jokingly to the group.

they all met in the study hall, and almost everyone knows you guys are friends after the first semester finals.

people thought you and chuuya were dating but you simply helped him with a sociology project that lasted for a week. some still believe in it, chuuya having to shut those rumors down.

your roommate is rarely present in the dorm, but it's nice to have them in once in a while, although they're busy with their partner. unironically a good comforter when it comes to your feelings, they've dealt with this ever since you landed yourself as their roommate.

after ranpo's issues with basic tasks, the staff assigned yosano to room with him.

since the dorms are assorted into various majors, all of you meet up in fukuzawa's cafe, where all of you go inside a private room expectedly assigned to all of you. it's an unspoken rule for your group to land yourselves in that room.

cats LOVE fyodor for some reason. he has a calming aura that lures cats to him.

Have we ever talked about maybe bunny and Artie picking up fp as a stray not to officially adopt but bunny sees him around town sleeping in various places clothes always bedraggled and maybe it’s after Oscar died and they haven’t healed from that so FPs this sort of replacement, and Fred’s soooo mad when FPs moving into Oscar’s old room like “you’re not my brother you’re never gonna be my brother” and FPs like “uh I’m not trying to be?” So it’s kinda tense in the house for a while but FPs got a warm bed to sleep in and food in his belly and he thinks he can deal with this weirdo situation in exchange for that lol

And maybe one night he’s up late and hears Fred crying in his room and he doesn’t really do comforting but he remembers when he was little and up late upset about something his mama used to bring him a warm glass of milk so he goes and makes one for Fred, leaves it outside his door with a knock before returning to his room. Fred finds it and asks fp about it the next day and fp shrugs like it’s not a big deal but even in Fred’s state he is not immune to kind gestures!

So anyway they end up becoming friends and spending time together and Fred shows fp his record collection and guitar etc etc they bond over music and comics and stupid teenage boy shit and of course end up kissing each other one time which leads to a bunch of issues and them sneaking around the house to make out and sometimes at night they sneak into each others bed to comfort each other or goof around on less serious nights but there’s always this thing hanging over their heads about what if bunny and Artie find out

Random facts about the roommates:

Shanice and Noah as the only non Americans ( given Noah’s Australian- ) team up to express their confusion at certain things their friends do- but given they’re both from different countries, they confuse each other too. For example, since they’re in similar situations regarding healthcare, if Liam and Anna ask ‘can you afford to go to the doctor?’ on the phone they’re both like ‘Huh????’ but Noah’s on his own in some of his food- but so is Shanice with Haggis and some of her stuff.

Anna and Liam are very much in love but since Anna’s way of speaking is naturally rather flirtatious, a lot of people warn Liam about it but he’s like ‘Oh, yeah, she’s just like that- she’s not trying to hit on you’

Noah and Shanice got Liam and Anna to stop friendzoning each other and immediately regretted it after becoming third wheels for every moment they spent at home. Shanice still tries to get Noah someone to date though, if only so she can stop him complaining about how dating apps suck. 

Liam’s a coffee purist, you need to have it black, you need the proper filtration system- all that, but Noah’s an energy drink fiend, Anna only drinks iced coffee and tea and Shanice’ll drink anything if you pass it to her and she’s focusing on something else....so, he’s horrified by them..

Every Thursday is game night. Anna always ends up winning because she cheats but she’s rarely ever caught- if she is, though, Noah calls her out about it. If it’s a video game or Yugioh though, one of the others beats them- Shanice tends to win Yu Gi Oh, Noah is FPS & strategy and Liam in games like Mario Party.

They have codes for when they’re uncomfortable and need to escape, for Anna, she uses ‘Milk on the hob’, Shanice uses ‘pennies’, Noah uses ‘ticket’ and Liam uses ‘Orange’. If one of them gets a text with that word in it? They’re on their way immediately.

well, anyway. that with him was during the end of 2020. i then moved to another foster home (that was before rehab) in the big city that i would later end up hanging out in to get high. it was a home mixed with boys and girls. all between 16-25 years old, with mental illnesses and asylum experience. so i should've fit right at home, no? well, it was nice at first. there, the residents were treated like adults. you didn't need to give your phone to the office at night, there were no wifi times, i was allowed to have my smart tv in my room and everyone had their own personal keys. one for their room and one for the front door. and, unlike many others, they actually respected our privacy. a locked door was treated as such. they always waited until you opened the door yourself. the staff had keys though, but they only used them if you didn't answer, you know, for your safety. i was used to social workers who just came and went as they pleased. a lot of them who view a locked door as reason to be suspicious. usually it went like this: *knock knock* *don't wait for answer* *immediately open the door*.

i've never really felt safe in these homes. a lot of social workers seemed to think of me as a bad kid. the one that would corrupt the other kids, cause chaos. a lot of them constantly seemed to be trying to catch me doing something forbidden. rules were invented because of me, roommates became snitches to gain the good will of the caretakers who hated me..... i've always felt really misunderstood. these people, who were supposed to take care of me, viewed me as a problem child. a useless drug addict. a burden. the one to look out for. the one that would destroy the harmony and make all the good kids become junkie losers like me. one of my old fps,the one i was living with, once got really drunk, after i got kicked out. she was, like i already said, like a little sister to me. she was also really tiny and had zero tolerance. she fell over multiple times during that evening so naturally i walked her home, to make sure nothing happened to her. one of the caretakers saw me from the window as i was dropping her off and made my friend then take a breatherlyzer, a drug test, and then told her she wasn't allowed to see me anymore. nice, right? well whatever. this group home, teh third one, seemed to be perfect. it was in a big city, i got a lot more pocket money, i had a key so therefore i could come and go as i pleased as long as i stayed quiet. it seemed like heaven.

Lemony Snicket (ASOUE) - as in his entity as a character in the series, not the author himself (more the tv show than the books even though the books were my ENTIRE childhood) ((the author’s actual name is daniel handler and he’s a lovely person)) anyways,

especially if that writer is a prominent member of a secret organization

Percy Weasley and Oliver Wood (HP) - because we all know they were in love. probably their last years of hogwarts into the second war. focuses a lot on percy going to the dark side. probably pretty angsty.

Will Turner (POTC)- oc is Jack Sparrow’s daughter. she’s super cool. raised by pirates. best parental relationship I’ve ever written (I usually go for the really shitty parent trope, but this time their relationship is rlly soft and makes me happy) anyways, she falls in love with will turner and it’s hot. 

Beatrice and Phillipa (HP) - cute lesbians in gryffindor (golden trio era). should probably read my bill weasley series first because it’s a spinoff. would probably be their fifth year to sometime around the end of the war. main focus would be bea’s shift to the dark side. 

FP Jones (Riverdale) - gotta preface this one with the fact that I hate riverdale as much as the next guy (sorry riverdale fans) I mean . the show’s insane. BUT FP is what got me through it. so this is the story of him and jughead’s mom in the 80s , then there’s a time jump to the first or second season. going to be short but cute. 

Steven Hyde (that 70s show) - NOT played by d*nny m*sterson. anyways, oc moves to point place from nyc with her mom (who kinda sucks -yes, we’re back to the shitty parent trope-) falls for hyde and it’s rly angsty. at some point she lives in hyde’s old house but i’m not sure exactly when bc idk what season I want to start the season on. she’s also best friends with jackie because I’m in love with jackie. 

Regulus and Marlene (HP) - umm so to be completely honest I don’t know what the plan was for this one. the only thing it says in the draft is “marlene is a slytherin”. I think I was high when I made it. but I feel like there’s some sort of potential there so we’ll see what happens. 

Remus Lupin (HP) - either wolfstar or a slytherin oc or maybe regulus I don’t know. I have some ideas for scenes, but no specific people or genders or really any details at all. I just know I’m in love with remus and want to write about him and his sweaters. 

Jesse Pinkman (Breaking Bad) - oc and jesse keep meeting by chance. first it’s because she’s staying at his parent’s house out of necessity (ep 2), then it’s because she’s Jane’s roommate, then it’s at Jane’s funeral. they keep saying they’re parting ways. that they’ll never see each other again, but it doesn’t work. one way or another, they’ll end up together. 

Minerva McGonagall and Pomona Sprout (HP) - one of my fav ships ever. would start in their sixth year and there would be a few major time jumps over the course of the story. very soft relationship. 

Peter Parker (MCU) - oc has powers over the elements. recruited to the avengers by tony stark. in the process of said transition, hydra attacks her family and oc is filled with rage. throughout the story, she lives with different members of the avengers (she moves around a lot) and she and peter have a friends to lovers sort of thing.

Daniel Desario (Freaks and Geeks) - charlotte’s been friends with the freaks since she was a kid. she’s been on-again-off-again dating nick since middle school, she has mixed feelings about kim, ken is her favorite person ever, and she is hopelessly in love with Daniel. when lindsay comes into the picture and things shift dramatically, charlotte finally has the chance to shoot her shot. 

Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds) - word for word what I have in my drafts:

ummmmm so we've got a main character named ummmmmm sophie or phoebe or something and shes like blonde and short and only three months older than reid and sup super smart like with math and science and stuff and she graduated early and has a doctorate and is smart and stuff but doesnt really tell anyone and looks kinda sloppy and has a really relaxed attitude and we love her - she almost dropped out of high school because she was bored but then agent gideon was like dude come on ill give u a job (or something?)

oh and her parents and little brother died in a fire when she was eight only her older brother survived and they are super close she loves him so much but she has some trauma from constantly being sent to foster homes where nodbody wanted to keep her bc shes difficult and also like watching her parents die so she has a HUGE fear of fire and an irrational fear of big dogs

ANYWAYS starts off with her at her house and she's just hangin she has a cat and she's making herself dinner and she's one of those super cute single bi girls who likes her plants and her music and her science bookstore

friends in college story (an original work) - okay so I wanna go to film school (I want to be a screenwriter) and this is an original script I’ve been working on but I might adapt parts of it to a story. basically it’s like a dark academia sitcom where a bunch of liberal, progressive kids go to this rural, ultra-christian college for different reasons and find each other and become the ELITE friend group. obviously it would have a better name than the “friends in college story” although now it’s sort of growing on me

the new tragedy (an original work) - “sometimes i need to remind myself that you existed. You were real, you were so real. your hair was real, your crooked smile was real. the way you couldnt talk in the morning before you’d had your coffee, or how you could never get to sleep at night without an episode of whatever show you were obsessing over in the moment. oh my god. you were real. 

she looked like death. the guy, not the concept. sallow skin and dark, sunken eyes that absorbed all of the light and trapped it, holding it hostage and never letting it out. when she smiled, the light poured all over her, like she was taking a shower in it. when she frowned, she looked like a storm cloud. I loved her. I loved her so much.

Yeah, same. I used to love playing video games, but I kind of lost motivation in late 2020, which is when I discovered streamers and I've been watching streamers play video games ever since

I have a weird history with games. I was never a gamer. I only played games cause I grew with cousins who played them.

Early on I realized I much preferred watching them play but then also I realized I preferred strategy fps games and at one point they got really into sports games and fighting games. So I bought strategy games and tried to play but man my anxiety around it was too much. I can't handle it, it feels like I'm actually in immediate danger when I'm playing those damn games. It's not enjoyable.

I had a Nintendo 64 in high school that I think I'd still be playing if I still had it. I had Mario 64, Diddy Kong Racing and Pokémon Stadium. Loved them. I had a Playstation One and PS2 I think....I know for sure I had a PS1 at some point cause I recall a pretty bad spyro addiction. And my mom was really into Rugrats golf.

The very last thing I had was a PSP. First gen. Still have it. Played it recently. My Syphon Filter game was still inside 🤣 (the only game series I've played consistently, until omega strain cause they wouldn't let me you save wtf who developed that that way!?)

After I got older, I didn't think about games at all, until I my roommate played a Batman game and I was enthralled. Then my roommate after that was into the Uncharted games and I LOVED watching it 😍

But it really hadn't occurred to me that during this time, people watching people play games was becoming a HUGE part of the gaming industry and content creation. I just thought it was a really weird interest I had. So it's nice knowing I'm far from alone lol

My big quarantine purchase in 2020 was my Xbox. First console I have owned as an adult. I have some puzzle games and I have this one strategy fps I've been playing off and on for two years lol. The only way I can play it is in broad daylight 🤣 and by some miracle you can control time on the game, so I'm always making sure it's daylight (which makes stealth harder but I don't need it cause I'm a coward and just snipe away all the live long day!).

Day 19 Bonus: Buster Bros!!! vs Dotsutaire Honpo

I’m gonna start with the music this time because just writing like one of the story/character bit...was taking a while. So in terms of music...I have to give it over to the Buster Bros. With their individual albums, it just got so much better for the Buster Bros as they’re becoming more distinct with their personality in their sound. Like Break the Wall is one of my top solos and y’all just unfortunate that Saburo used like one of the classical pieces I thought fucking slapped even before he messed with it. And I’m so happy for them. 

DH has a bit of a disadvantage of being a new group and thus having less to compare. But so far....eh. I think DH is very hit or miss for me. Like Matenrou, they have such differing talents and subject matters that it either turns into a strange symphony or some mishmash that just makes it eh. Which is generally my feeling with their group songs as I really love Ah, Osaka Dreaming Night but I am not impressed with Wara Osaka. And I am okay with their solo songs but to be fair to them, a lot of the songs I prefer for the already established group was their second solo, not the first, which is their introductory ones. 

As for Joy for Struggle, yeah, Buster Bros took that for me. DH I get is supposed to be more carefree than a lot of the other teams that are a bit more serious but I think that attitude really bit them in the ass for this battle. And BB did not have time to be playing around. I thought Saburo had more confidence this time and let that truly nasty attitude leave some spikes behind. Saburo really was like ‘How many times we gotta teach you this lesson, old man?!’ Jiro actually had some good retorts! I’m so sorry, I love him I swear but he had so much to grow in terms of coming with bite and it’s starting to show! The chihuahua vs tiger comparison! And while I do appreciate that Rosho and Sasara stay true in their manzai act...it really just didn’t land for me in the battle and Jiro and Saburo were quick to gnaw at it. 

And then...there’s the verse against Ichiro. I won’t say they stick with me as well as War War War but quite frankly Ichiro vs Sasara and later Rei are more of a battle of ideals. And to me, Ichiro poured more into his than those two. Because Rei’s were just belittling the boys because they’re younger and like they went down some wrong path. Both Saburo and Ichiro weren’t having any of that. Like who the fuck are you to step in and tell us off? At least MTC were more of like ‘come back when you’re more polished.’ And with Sasara, I think Ichiro delivered the line that is my entire thing with this battle: ‘Floaty words like that won’t sting us at all.’ I feel like DH lacked enough bite against BB and it shows. The only real bite back is from Rei and even he doesn’t seem to have that much that actually phased BB in my opinion. 

In terms of story/character wise...it’s really hard to make a decision. Because for all the teams, it’s really a matter of the dynamics against the others. And DH have it so stacked for them just because of Rei. Sure, I may not like him but he is very interesting in terms of being a vehicle for developments to happen. He seems to know a lot of things and people so he becomes such a presence that could tempt so many things into happening. Like if it was DH vs FP, he knows the fuck about Ramuda! He fucking made him! And I have little doubt it was him on the phone with Ramuda in Catch Us If You Can drama track. And at the end of the previous DRB...at least what sticks out in my mind and I may have to double check but I think he mentioned some interest in Ramuda after telling about how the true hypnosis mic being used would’ve shot Chuuoku in the foot. Also added to that, Rei likely knows Gentaro. For what reason? We don’t quite know but it can be assumed it’s because he’s doing something for Gentaro. Either looking into Ramuda since the ‘legal’ way wasn’t reaping anything or if Gentaro is hiding something, then Rei might be helping him hide it. Also also, Rei is one of the few rappers that know who Dice is! He and Otome were talking about their kids! That’s HUGE since Dice hasn’t told anyone about this aspect of his life. Rei alone would make such a juggernaut for FP.

I honestly can’t think of anything for DH vs BAT, sorry. They don’t seem to have any history besides Kuko and Sasara both being in MCD for a time...but I don’t recall that time really being elaborated on soooooo yeah.

If it were DH vs MTC, that’s more of a dynamic between Sasara and Samatoki. Which I think would be the time to figure things out between them. Because Samatoki was left with why and never got an answer. And seeing him again, Sasara can’t run away. He can try but pretty sure that Samatoki could outrun him. It also would be a time of like Sasara’s dynamic between the two men that have been his partners, Samatoki and Rosho. The people that were close to Sasara and whom he feels the most towards. I honestly can’t think of much else besides that but I’m sure KR will find a way to have the guys piss each other off. I’m just here for SamaSasa and SasaRo shenanigans. (I guess we could see if Rio does know Rei since in theory he SHOULD know who he is since it sounds like the hypmic was in development when Rio was serving and he tested some aspect of it).

I think DH vs MTR would be kinda funny. Like for some reason I think that Sasara and Rosho would get really fucking mad at how Hifumi and Doppo just naturally have that manzai energy by virtue of being best friends and roommates. I have personal experience of people being like ‘this IS a show’ of just watching and listening to me and my best friend and roommate just going back and forth. I feel like it’d just be so damn funny if it was over something not as serious I guess? But then that’d all be ruined because I feel like Rei would either expose to Hifumi and Doppo of Jakurai’s cooperation with Chuuoku, which while they don’t have any personal reason to really hate Chuuoku, wouldn’t feel comfortable with it either. Or. OR, my god, let him expose Jakurai’s assassin past, something he seems to feel nothing but shame for and also ruining his perfect image. Because Rei just seems like he’d be willing to do that. 

So yeah, a lot of drama that could happen because of frickin’ Rei and some loose ends to deal with from Sasara. By comparison, BB has some things but they wouldn’t be as dire as DH’s. Like with BB vs BAT, this could be the chance for Ichiro to get his answers from Kuko. He never got an answer either. He was left with heartbreak and never given the why. And Kuko either has rationalized or will be in for a rude awakening having to go head on with Ichiro. Because they were close. Kuko had to care about Ichiro in some capacity to willingly help some group he knew was sketch and didn’t like. Why did that change? He had to have meditated on this at some point! Meanwhile, I really hope that Jiro and Jyushi and Kuko can get along if the reconciliation with Ichiro doesn’t happen! They’d be such an eclectic group but would be so much trouble too! (And please let Jiro and Jyushi play together. Ever since someone wrote about it, it lives in my head rent free) I really am hoping for it. All the while, Hitoya is like ‘shit, now I gotta adopt MORE kids. Why are there so many of these little shits running around without supervision???’ 

I can’t think of much for BB vs FP since I just don’t see their circles running that close and it just didn’t feel like Ichiro was close to Ramuda even back with TDD. Most I can think of is Jiro, who is also pretty thoughtless, saying the wrong thing to Gentaro and it’s The Rivalry 2.0. But overall can’t think of anything too specific. 

It’d hurt me if it was BB vs MTR. Because for some reason I see that most of MTR treat the BB like their little siblings and in Jakurai’s case, it’s like going to go fight his kids (I will go down on the hill of occasional dadkurai shenanigans!). And while Saburo and Jiro have and still do make fun of Doppo, I think he also has their respect because he looks out for them in a different way but still same energy as Ichiro does. Probably because he is an older brother. I don’t really think any of the guys can say anything to bother Hifumi and it’s more of Hifumi being fucking thoughtless and saying the wrong thing. I feel like he’d piss off Saburo somehow. And with Jakurai and Ichiro...it’s a ‘nothing personal, just business’ although I think Jakurai would be proud of Ichiro either way.

And then there’s just rematch energy if it’s BB vs MTC. Honestly? The real thing I would love to see from if this happened is for Jiro and Saburo to have a reevaluation of MTC. Because the main reason they were so aggressive and hostile towards them is because of Ichiro’s grudge with Samatoki. They just took it as ‘if they’re Ichi-nii’s enemy, they’re our enemy.’ But since they’re taking this step of coming on their own, they also need to think about if they can still dislike these guys because Ichiro’s beef isn’t theirs. I mean, Jiro probably still doesn’t like Jyuto because he’s a delinquent and fuck cops y’know sorta rebelliousness. And I don’t think Saburo particularly dislikes Rio and vice versa. The thing with Ichiro and Samatoki is honestly secondary to this. And I feel would be the time for Samatoki to let go since he KNOWS now that it wasn’t Ichiro that got Nemu to leave but Ramuda but it’s a matter of if his pride would allow him. And Ichiro would have to realize that while he lost their fight...he won in the end since he’s the one that kept his brothers while Samatoki lost Nemu. He’s gotta feel for him and understand why Samatoki was/is mad at him. (Also long shot but if they could talk about how Samatoki also exacerbated his hesitance to trust others, that’d be greeeeaaattttt).

So yeah, I’ve thought about how these dynamics and things and you’d think weighing them all would make this choice easy. And it is. In a way. Because for me, I’d choose Buster Bros. I do like Sasara a lot and Rosho I think is fine but their third really sours for me. I know some can keep that bias aside and look, I did talk about what all he can do...but he alone can’t carry the sound for the team. Story, sure, but not the music. While I really would like some of the threads that Rei brings...it’s not completely impossible for him to still be around if any of the other teams do advance. I mean, they’re all the only men stuck in Chuuoku for the time of the DRB and having to pass each other while going to their own rooms or box seating. He has ways. So yeah, if I had voted on DH vs BB, this is what I would’ve gone with.

Can you give us some family trees I don't know who's realated to who

everyone still has the same biological parents, it’s just he marriages and divorces and adoptions and kidnappings that complicate things:

charles ran away from the brothers of quiet mercy when he was ten to find his birth parents. when he showed up at the cooper house and it was clear that he was fp’s son, hal gave alice a choice: charles, or him. alice chose charles and hal kicked her out and basically banned her from seeing baby polly. alice attempted to fix things upon finding out she was pregnant with betty, but hal filed for divorce and decided he wanted no place in betty’s life.

with nowhere else to go, alice returned to the southside with charles and started to rebuild her life there. fp was there for charles, but alice didn’t want to disturb his marriage to gladys (currently pregnant with jughead), and also had reservations given fp’s general instability. 

shortly after the births of betty and jughead, gladys finds out that fp has been having an emotional affair, and leaves him, taking jughead to toledo. fp and alice officially get together although their relationship is pretty rocky, and raise charles and betty.

gladys returns to riverdale several years later with a young jughead, and runs into fp at the whyte wyrm. fp and alice are currently broken up (their relationship is very on/off for the first few years), and so gladys and fp hook up for old times sake. gladys becomes pregnant with jellybean, but is ambivalent about fp being in her or jughead’s life (especially as he’s gone back to alice.)

annoyed that alice isn’t suffering as much as he hoped, hal tracks down gladys and is like, “hey, wanna get married just to piss off our exes?” gladys agrees, because she figures it’s the best way to build a better life for her kids. they’re more roommates who occasionally have sex than husband and wife, but together they raise polly, jughead, and jellybean.

upon finding out that hiram cheated on her repeatedly, hermione leaves him and runs away to riverdale, where she stays with mary and fred. she’s just there as a friend at first, but the three of them enter into a poly relationship, and discuss raising both mary and hermione’s unborn babies together. veronica is born.

hiram, blaming fred for his wife leaving him, returns to riverdale with the intent of raising hell. he finds out that mary is days away from giving birth and pays off the hospital staff to steal the baby and claim it was a stillborn. to hiram’s luck (and everyone else’s loss), mary dies in childbirth, making it easy for hiram to run off with baby archie and leave a distraught and heartbroken fred behind. hiram ends up raising archie (who’s trans) and hermosa, and despite the kidnapping and the mob stuff, he’s a weirdly good and supportive dad.

hermione marries fred and veronica is raised as an andrews, believing fred to be her dad.

sierra and myles have josie.

tom keller has a one night stand with veronica sawyer, and she’s kind of just like “whatever” when she finds out that she’s pregnant. she gives birth to kevin.

penelope sues clifford and the blossoms for all that they’re worth because of the whole “child bride” thing, and wins. she finds out she’s pregnant with the twins shortly after.

sierra and myles divorce, and because myles is older and richer, he manages to get primary custody of josie. tom and sierra, both single and missing their kids, get back together.

penelope gives birth to the twins, and, in an attempt to avoid the curse and “help” a couple in need, abandons cheryl on tom and sierra’s doorstep. everyone has an idea about her biological family, but nobody steps forward to claim her, and so tom and sierra raise cheryl as their own.

penelope and sawyer meet and fall in love. they get together and raise jason and kevin.

melinda gives birth to reggie, and marty leaves her soon after. she is happily a single mother.

// OKAY SO IM HAVING AN ACTUAL MELTDOWN OVER THIS SO. UNDER THE CUT HERE’S SOME CANON UPDATES FOR HIFUMI SPOILERS FOR THE NEW MTR / FP + CHAPTER ( BIG CONTENT WARNING FOR ABUSE TRAUMA + WORKPLACE ABUSE + SEVERE PANIC ATTACKS )

Okay so. I’m going to try and be as calm as possible with his, but a lot of my headcanons were confirmed. 

The first big thing is that my long standing head canon that Hifumi suffers from night terrors relating to his abuse and his abuser were, in fact, confirmed as canon.

Hifumi, at 22, has also worked several jobs and wound up getting fired from all of them due to his gynophobia.

Apparently - Hifumi got his idea about becoming a different person with his suit on from...Doppo! Doppo makes a comment that he got hired to a new job and feels like a brand new person when he puts his suit on, though Hifumi complains that he’s not a child, he can���t do something like that.

Or more accurately...Doppo has Hifumi watch Superman ( which is...canon in HypMic? ) In watching Superman, this line happens. “ "If you put on the suit, anyone can be Superman!" Hifumi says he makes it look easy. ”

A BIG THING FOR HIM IS the words “I’m only on your side” is apparently a trigger phrase for him - something his abuser told him, and something that sends him into hysterics. I will use this from here on out if a character ever says this, or something similar, to him. Additionally, when he’s not wearing his jacket, a woman smiling at him is also a massive trigger.

It’s also noted that Hifumi hyperventilates when he has a panic attack and something that broke my heart was that the woman that triggered him called him disgusting for his behaviors and just walked away.

He didn’t actually start working at Fragrance at 20 - it seems he started working for them at 22 years old instead. 

Hifumi also worked at the company Doppo worked at for a little while, since he was having a hard time keeping a job and Doppo recommended him for an open position! He managed to keep the position for a few months, since he didn’t have to interact with any women in the department, but after those few months a woman tries to speak with him, and he has a panic attack at work.

Doppo helps him and explains to the woman why Hifumi is having a panic attack, and she’s actually polite about it and apologies - but Hifumi says she doesn’t need to apologize because he’s the one with the problem, not her.

Things seem like they can work out for him! The women in the department try to adjust to keep Hifumi comfortable and start going through other male employees if they need something from him. 

But...his boss has a problem with it and starts berating Hifumi in his office and trying to figure out why he has a phobia of women and what traumatized him. He calls Hifumi trash - “which makes sense because he’s friends with Doppo” - and Hifumi agrees that yeah, he’s trash, but how DARE he talk about Doppo that way.

He threatens to fire Hifumi and physically pushes him - but then tells him he’s required to come drinking with the department tonight, as there’s a work party. And it turns out, that drinking party turns into them going to a hostess bar. Their boss is purposefully trying to put Hifumi in a triggering environment. While Doppo tries to stand up for him, Hifumi ends up going after their boss threatens to fire Doppo.

This is where things get...hard, so if you’re triggered by someone being triggered, severe panic attacks, people mocking those things, and someone trying to traumatize someone further - please stop reading here.

In the hostess bar, Hifumi gets isolated from his coworkers and sat between two women. He begins hyperventilating and Doppo tries to go in and save him, but their boss announces to the ENTIRE CLUB that Hifumi has a phobia of women. He’s forced to sit in silence as everyone laughs at him.

One of the women says  "Really? But you're so handsome. What a shame!" and Hifumi screams and begins to retreat into himself. His boss grabs the back of the head of the woman that asked him that and forces her closer to Hifumi, like he’s trying to force them to kiss. The sight of the woman’s mouth causes Hifumi to cover his own, like he’s about to vomit, and he manages to stand up and sprint into the club’s restroom. 

Everyone except his boss, who’s laughing, has the decency to look concerned, and Doppo actually trails after Hifumi, who’s vomiting into one of the bathroom sinks. He goes back to their boss, who asks Doppo if he’s going to take Hifumi’s punishment of being fired...

AND DOPPO PUNCHES THEIR BOSS SO HARD HE KNOCKS HIM OUT OF HIS SEAT.

Doppo then says “He's working his ass off to overcome this, and then you have the god damn nerve to laugh at him! You think I'd ever work for anyone like you, you son of a bitch? No! I quit!” and he grabs Hifumi, both of them leaving the club.

Hifumi apologizes to Doppo as the leave, for costing him a job he was so excited about, but Doppo reassures him that they’re best friends - he’s not going to work for someone like that. 

Hifumi vows he’s going to change for Doppo’s sake, and puts on his suit for the first time. He’s not someone who uses orecchi, but someone who uses boku. Not someone who’s afraid of women, but will give them the most exciting time of their life, just for one night.

Doppo is panicking over the loss of his job, being unable to afford rent, and Hifumi just started working at a host club with this new personality of his - so they decide to be roommates. They both vow to become the top in their field, so they can take care of each other financially so the other never has to worry again.

i don’t know what exactly what has compelled me to make this post at nearly 1:00 am on a school night just like every other, but i think the importance of advocacy of preventing, spotting, and stopping abusive friendships is to talk about them with the same respect as any other form of abuse.

i’ll give you a small overview of my personal experience with abusive friendships: when i was 16, my father committed suicide. i was not aware he was my biological father at they time and actually found out he was not my half brother, but my biological father. my father, who’s name i will not mention. i won’t even use fake names they’re hard to keep track of. i found out my mother, an abusive drug addict, slept with her husband, my apparent grandfather’s, adult son from a previous marriage consensually. one way or another, my father was forbidden to be involved in my life, and my grandfather raised me as his own. (in case you’re going to ask about inc*st, my father and mother have no relation, she is not his mother.)

the shock of learning this and grieving his death from the few negative interactions he and his mental health had on my family when i was a baby, was intense. i had no friends at school and felt incredibly lost and vulnerable. when i was in this place i met my best friend. we bonded over a shared hatred of my ex boyfriend, who was an abuser, who was dating her ex best friend.

this should have been a red flag, but i ignored it.

i took the first friend i could find after my ex took away all my friends in an effort to isolate me after my assault. this was probably the worst part of my life, and one of my first real suicide attempts was only days before my father died. the first friend i found, the first soul i recognized i clung to.

when me and my friend, who we will call P, were inseparable. but there was a very clear and distinct difference between us. P was a star in the band at school, she had great grades, tons of friends and was quite conventionally attractive. she was involved in a lot of extracurriculars and overall had a very nice demeanor.

this should have been a red flag. as harsh as it might sound, idealizing anyone is unhealthy. if someone appears to you as perfect, it’s not paranoid of you to wonder if it’s hiding something. it’s hard to tell when someone is being genuine, especially for myself with autism. nice words and a smile can pretty much fool anyone.

i, on the other hand of P, dropped out of band and just about every other activity after my assault, and was in and out of intense therapy and psych visits throughout all of high school. i never could go a school year without a visit. to this day i have gone a whole year however :)

I was an autistic shut in who quite honestly, cried a lot, smelled bad, was clearly poor, spoke funny and came to school drunk. we were not the same.

i don’t want to go over every painstaking detail, so i’ll try to summarize as best i can the first two years of our three year relationship.

P was diagnosed with BPD about a month into our friendship. she told me i was her FP/favorite person, and showed me videos to learn about BPD. i remember watching hours and hours of information about BPD to accommodate her the best i could. what i didn’t realize however, was that she was lying. she didn’t have BPD, or at least couldn’t be diagnosed because we were 16.

red flag. i knew this was a lie because i had been in therapy for years. it took me a long time to peace it together but i accepted it and beget told her, until this moment, that i knew.

i fucking knew.

months of friendship included constant easy to see through lies, fabrications, pathological rants, and pretty much changing her “back story” every day. it was draining not to mention it, but the few times i did, she got physical. i have scars on my right forearm from her nails, which were long and broke skin. she would tell me she would pay me back for things and never show. she would make fun of things i told her in secret to our friends, my trauma. my dad.

over time, she convinced me to drop every single friend i had except for her. she had gotten me literally completely vulnerable and isolated.

when covid hit, my mom, of course, kicked me out. i moved in with P and her family. my time there over quarantine was very monotonous, but i’ll never forget that for basically 8-9 months, she never let me out of her sight. i felt like i had to just do whatever she wanted because her mother let me live there for free.

p knew i wanted to move away from my mother and the chaos of my home life for years.

right before quarantine, P got her first boyfriend. she had never had a boyfriend and had been to scared to get one. i was really happy for her, i encouraged her to ask him out while she was at a weekend school event.

P then began to manipulate not only me, but him. to this day i don’t know what’s become of either of them, but i really couldn’t care less anymore. when trauma heals, you get a sense of apathy.

P would frequently belittle me, mock me, kick, trip and slap me, force me to pay for things for her and her boyfriend on the spot, and steal from my purse.

eventually living with p, third wheeling with her less than charming boyfriend, who i honestly just didn’t mind. we weren’t friends, but i was respectful to him and treated him the same way i would treat a friend from school or something.

p has a family i won’t bring up because it involves minors, but her mother has a psychotic disorder and refuses to be medicated, so the house is full of ripped door hinges, holes in walls, smashed items and more. it’s really unsafe there, and during my time there i found i really began to internalize as a person. i developed an eating disorder and my ptsd and autism felt much more out of control.

i had been diagnosed with autism for nearly two years at that point, and living in that household made me realize just how damaging meltdown after meltdown without anyone understanding can damage your psyche long term.

i wanted to leave. i had saved my money from my jobs and got an apartment. p insisted on coming, saying she didn’t want to live with her mom anymore. i didn’t want her to come, but i agreed. she got a co-sign. i knew it was a bad idea because i heard what they said about best friends living together. i just can’t believe it really happened.

we talked about growing old together, raising our kids together. i was going to name my first daughter after her. we were going to be neighbors. her husband and my wife would be best friends just like us, but that’s not what happened.

we lived together from August 2020-November 2020

to give a quick summary of the inevitable end of this relationship, P and I had two kittens together. i asked her if she could put them away for inspection so they didn’t run out the door while i drove our third roommate, a whole other mountain of a story, to work.

she didn’t do it, instead slacked off to go to her boyfriends house. so i came back and had to put the cats away at record speed and our other roommate was late to work.

even if this was somewhat small, it was the breaking point for me. i grabbed my phone and texted her, DEMANDING she explain why she couldn’t do this one thing for me. i have never been that angry in my life. we had a phone call where i just lost it and unleashed all my anger and all my hurt about everything she had done. i was sobbing and barely making sense but i couldn’t just keep letting my life carry on this way.

i wish i remembered how the phone call ended, but all i remember was telling her “if the cats run and we can’t find them, then we are done being roommates.”

the next morning i woke up and she had blocked me on everything. i drove to the apartment and saw that overnight, according to block times at like, 3am, she had taken all our shared furniture, all my birthday gifts from not two weeks prior, all the gifts i bought her, most of my clothes, one of the apartment keys, my high school diploma, the paperwork for the cats, and not just our two shared kittens, but my third roommates cat as well.

cue search party with my partner and his friends and my other roommate for P and the cats. i found her at her house with her mom and boyfriend. i walked out and she was on the phone with my grandfather, telling him i was threatening suicide. i ask her where the cats are, she says they are at a friends house.

if we flashback in the story, we literally only had each other, so i knew it was a lie.

i managed to argue through to negotiate at least my other roommates cat, but only after P’s mom blocked us in the driveway and called the police saying we threatened her daughter

(reminder people in this group were black and asian ☺️ so she just calls the cops fall 2020)

luckily the cops saw the proof she blocked me so i couldn’t have threatened her, and let us leave.

that’s the end of the friendship. i could bore anyone who has read this far further by explaining the nightmare realm that is the legal troubles with the apartment, but the internet doesn’t need to know everything does it?

as the winter has gone on i’ve had months to basically remake myself as a person. i had to firstly face the damage P had done.

but before i get into that, anyone who is still reading first, ily, but also, if you’ve had ANY relationship that sounds similar to this, THAT IS ABUSE.

Plain and simple. It is abusive. Physically, emotionally, mentally, verbally. nobody deserves that. not P. not you. not me.

friendships can be all someone has. not everyone is born into good families with loving siblings and great parents and tons of cousins who live .3 milliseconds away. families are divided. families, like mine, are divorced. families are broken and families sometimes aren’t even families. humans need relationships, and an idealistic person who we think maybe could save us and fix the world, won’t.

you can be taken advantage of by the person you trust the most just as easily as a stranger.

it’s not wrong to face the abuse they put you through, know it was wrong, and feel valid that it is was wrong.

what i went through with P was horrible. the detachment of my only friend hurt. but i bounced back. i’m still undoing some of the damage, but i have great friends and a wonderful partner. i have two rescue cats who mean the world to me.

life gets better after abuse, but the bad days and the pain aren’t invalid because of this. i have trauma from what P put me through. abandonment like that is traumatic. but it’s not the end. feel what you need to feel to feel better.

if anyone read this far and wants to vent their own experiences, or share more advice on preventing these relationships feel free. it’s almost 1:30 now, i should go to bed.
