DnD: dungeons and draco

for @quail-in-red. this is just further proof that if anybody shows even the slightest interest in one of my dumb jokes, i crumble and perform like a silly jester at once. based on this post i made last year and rediscovered today about hp wizards playing DnD.

Dean didn’t give a lot of details when he invited Harry to his weekly dungeons and dragons game, but the last person Harry expected to see at the table was Draco Malfoy.

“We started a game together when we were, er,” Dean trailed off.

“When we were prisoners in Draco's house!” Luna finished for him brightly.

Malfoy didn’t say anything, just met Harry’s eyes stolidly and then went to fuss with the small pile of papers and cards in front of him.

Harry shared a look with Ron, who was already sitting between Dean and Hermione, and then sighed inwardly and took the last remaining seat between Seamus and Luna. He pulled out the premade character sheet Dean had owled him last week. It was wrinkled from having nearly been lost in a pile of post and then hastily shoved in Harry’s pocket before flooing to Dean’s flat.

Harry looked around the table. Malfoy’s stack of papers was bigger than anyone else’s, even Hermione’s. And why did he have so many cards? There was a little wooden tray in front of him too. The dice in the tray looked iridescent, catching and reflecting the light. Trust Malfoy to have expensive poncy accessories. Why was he even here? Did he even like DnD? He’d grown up around magic his whole life; what did he need to pretend for?

“And so let’s go around and introduce our characters,” Dean finished. Harry had missed his whole introduction. “Since Draco and Luna have played before, we’ll start with them.”

Malfoy straightened up a little, carefully picking up his character sheet even though it seemed like he was so familiar with it, he didn’t need to reference it. “I’m Mike, a level three call center operator. I’m twenty-three years old, originally from Essex and just moved to London. I played football in uni, but am feeling less fit now that I have a job where I sit all day.”

Luna went next and spoke in a surprisingly deep voice. “My name is Archie, and I’m a level six IT consultant. I’m forty-six years old, originally from Norwich, but I moved to London for uni and never left. I’ve been married to my wife, Evelyn, for twenty years and we have two children and a cocker spaniel named Rosa.”

Harry stared down at the character sheet in front of him. He hadn’t looked at it before grabbing it in his rush to get here on time. It told him he was meant to be playing Grace, a 29 year old paramedic who’d grown up in London and recently broken up with her fiance after finding out he had cheated on her. She had a cat named Pomegranate. Harry didn’t know much about tabletop games, but there had been a group of kids that Dudley’s gang would sometimes target instead of Harry who had played. And what he’d overhead from their games didn’t sound anything like this.

“Hang on, these are just normal people; we’re all humans with muggle jobs. I thought we were playing dungeons and dragons, you know, with magic involved.”

Malfoy glared at him. “Weren’t you paying attention, Potter? Dean just explained the premise of our campaign.”

Harry didn’t want to admit to Malfoy he’d been too busy wondering what his dice were made of. He looked away from Malfoy to Dean. “Er, sorry. I was… distracted.”

Dean sighed but looked more resigned than irritated at having to explain again. “When I started the game with Draco and Luna, they got confused by the magic system because actual magic doesn’t work the way it does in DnD, so I made up a slightly different game we could play. We’re a group of Londoners in a recreational dodgeball league.”

“And honestly, Harry, it doesn’t feel right pretending to be of magical creature heritage for a game,” Hermione added. “Think of what kind of hurtful stereotypes we could fall into.”

“Okay…” Harry said slowly. It still felt strange, but now that he thought about it, he supposed he didn’t need to spend his Thursday evenings pretending to be part of a group camping out and hunting evil. Once per lifetime was enough without having to do it recreationally in the realm of imagination.

Harry smoothed out his character sheet again and introduced the group to Grace.

SYLLY?! i…. Ok…. fair warning this is a little long… all that i do is think about this guy someone get him out of my head.

tread carefully reading this! there is a lot of sensitive content here: mental health stuff, abuse, mentions of sex and pornographic material, suicidal ideation, etc etc.

Generic, silly headcanons:

He prefers coffee (black) over tea, but he does have a bit of a sweet tooth (will never resist caramel if it’s presented to him). Honestly, he’s pretty self-reliant when it comes to food, too. On lazy days, he makes enough to where a takeout bill is hardly a concern, but for the most part he cooks! Not a chef by any means, but nothing he ever makes is bad!

Definitely wants a big, loving family, the polar opposite of what he had growing up as an only child in a far less than perfect household. Not a dealbreaker, but he does yearn for all of the love that he’s missed out on and then some.

Not big on video games, but… I do think he is absolutely spending every lonely leave playing Elder Scrolls. Would be so easy to convince to go larping or to a renfaire. I see everyone’s car/bike guy headcanons and I raise you… obsessed with fantasy König. He loves history and myth!! Why not combine the two and see him in chainmail.

The scent & kink posts. But to add… he’s an affectionate biter. (,: Knows the correct places to do so that won’t cause damage or hurt too terribly much. Likes to sniff you just as well! The embodiment of the “merge souls with me” post; in love, he just wants to feel you any way that he can and have some part of you lingering on him, even if it’s just a stray hair or your scent clinging to his shirt or pillowcase.

Cheating is never on this guy’s mind when he’s in a relationship. If he’s found a lady not running for the hills the second she catches sight of him, that’s his one and only. Sure, he may find himself attracted to someone else at some point or other during the duration of a relationship, but he’s devoted and disciplined! There’s never the fear of anyone coming in between he and his lover. He’ll spoil you with gifts, clingy to a point it’s overbearing, always giving you the utmost care… but is not opposed to bullying you into being a submissive, trembling mess either. He’s balanced!

Adores animals. Like any of them. There’s a special place in his heart for cats, but having a constant companion that he can take on hikes like a large dog would be ideal. Would definitely consider owning a tarantula or a snake, too. ^^ He isn’t scared of anything, let alone a creature that most are misinformed about… (he projects a little..). He would treat them just as well as anyone would treat a more “normal” pet. Understanding if you wouldn’t want to hold a giant arachnid (they’re delicate and you squirming over it would make him a bit protective over the poor thing. ): ), but it would mean a lot to him if you were more accepting.

König would not be a pretty sight (to most people) the majority of the time… I doubt that he takes care of himself past training his body and his allotted one-two minute military showers. His character description describes what is rumored to be under his mask as scary. Let him have his buzzcut, and scars, and teeth or old wounds a little too fucked up to fix! Unconventionally attractive is still attractive! (i think his ‘face reveal’ is actually so cute…)

Lots of sporadic little thoughts, but… Ambidextrous, can not ride a bike, whistles/hums to fill lapses of silence, flexes his fingers/cracks his knuckles when he’s nervous, definitely snores (loudly), brushes his teeth like 3-4 times a day (when he can) because he eats so much, not a picky eater at all, thinks it’s cute if you’re affectionately a little grossed out by him from time to time, absolutely the kind of person that thinks fuel and fire smell good, fluent in English and German but certainly knows many words and phrases from other languages.

Kind of clumsy. Overthinks the way his body looks to the point where sometimes his movements are a little stiff. Overestimates how tall a door frame may be if he’s distracted in the presence of others, hits his head and plays it off like he didn’t even notice. He’s (obviously) highly confident on the field, but in regular circumstances it’s totally reversed.

Though. Yeah. Sometimes this does translate onto the field. Can’t stay in one place for too long, once knocked an enemy soldier out by barreling into him. He’s a quick shot, skillful with any weapon that falls into his hands, but his focus can get a little skewed.

He collects some things. Nothing exactly pricy, but antique knives, coins, and a pocket watch or two. And he isn’t the most apt at putting things together in an appealing way… The first time you’re allowed into his house it looks like he’s robbed some vintage hunting shop/is planning something nefarious with the way he’s just got a few daggers strewn about his kitchen table. Just push them to the side, it’s fine! (His favorite is certainly one with a handle carved from a stag’s antler.)

Definitely takes a physical approach to bad feelings. @melancholic-thing mentioned to me that he bites himself when he’s feeling dejected or frustrated and yeah. (All of Ghost’s hcs for him are factually correct.) Not going to punch a hole through the wall but may aggressively slam a door or raise his voice before he can catch himself.

I have many thoughts about König’s childhood/early adulthood. Like, too many. But to summarize…

I think that everyone experiences bullying to an extent but what would make it so bad that it managed to make its way into the scraps that we do have of him? What made him so fundamentally unlikable to his peers? /: With my König I’ve settled on it being a blend of neurodivergency and a nightmare home life and alienation from his peers.

Height is predominantly viewed as a good trait. I don’t think it was necessarily his appearance at all that got him picked on so heavily (albeit… I do think that he would have had some scars, crooked teeth, regular facial bruising or cuts from scraps with other children/his father). Perhaps not the most conventionally attractive guy around, but normally viewed as a solid 5/10, just average. The kind of person who you wouldn’t remember from just a face alone.

His personality was always memorable though.

Whilst the other children/teenagers were interested in the regular trends, sports, whatever was shown on the television or heard on the radio at the time, I think he probably would have had a great interest in escapism!!

Comics, books, researching history and geography, etc, anything that could keep him from thinking of where he was/what other people viewed him as. He had a lot of strange things to say: odd facts (like the kind of person to tell you the longest word in the dictionary because he thinks it’s cool, “um actually—“ to correct something, monologuing about some bug you’ve just squashed and how it was not just a pest but very useful in nature, borderline concerning reactions to being shunned (feigned threats of violence that he would laugh off, things he’s probably heard from media and his own parents), over explaining himself for the simplest of misunderstandings, and… quoting his Oma’s very old-fashioned turns of phrase (think of little Kö regularly saying “Du gehst mir tierisch auf den Keks.” when he’s annoyed whereas the others say things far less dated like “Du gehst mir auf den Sack.”)

With him being difficult to relate to and having the most uncanny things slip out of his mouth, others probably did view him as a bit of a freak. He didn’t particularly stand up for himself often either apart from a few fights (and would never hit a girl). He would stay quiet, pretend to focus on his studies or whatever else was before him while the other children jeered and taunted. Regularly a target for fake confessions and offers to hang out outside of school, too.

König did have crushes, did have people he thought were cool and wanted to befriend, but after the third time of showing up someplace that he had to walk to on his own to find that no one had actually wanted to spend their time with him, he gave up.

I don’t think he had a good relationship with his parents or much of anyone. Seriously, leaving for the military at seventeen sets off a ton of alarm bells! He left the week of his Oma’s passing, because what else was there for him — no girlfriend, no prospects, hardly a relationship with his mother or father.

His father was your standard shit parent— womanizing, loud, physically abusive towards König. “Bonding” activities with him always had a heavy lean towards violence: hunting and arguing that usually resulted in fist fighting his own son seemed to be his favorites. A small man with an equally small ego— he probably would have boasted about his affairs to König, exposed him to pornography as a way of making sure his son wasn’t anything other than straight (which: never stopped his curiosity). He would never hold back from telling König that he would never in a million years find a girl willing to put up with his supposed stupidity and shortcomings. Generally just viewed his own son as utterly worthless if not for use as a punching bag.

In turn, König always loathed him, would dread hearing the bastard just walking around the house because he knew he would always find something to bicker with his wife or son over. Nothing that they ever did would be deemed correct, and his social anxiety initially developed from his dealings with him.

His mother was withdrawn, emotionally neglectful. König was just… there to her; another mouth to feed, another person begging for the attention she would have rather spared on herself.

She wasn’t a bad mother and she did try, but the product of dealing with his father’s nonsense + letting her own mental illness go unchecked (as in, his father controlled the family financially and why would he let her blow through their funds to see a therapist and “lose her lucidity with pills and ridiculous talks”). There were some days when she would be feeling more like herself and take König along with her for walks through the park where she would try to ask him about his life, about school, and… he would end up spilling his guts to her only for her to return to silence. Still, those were his favorite days. His fondest memory was picking a flower for her on one of those walks, one that she kept pressed and later framed.

There were never family dinners, no movie nights, no day trips or vacations. The most blissful of days were spent in the comfort of his room where he could keep the door locked and muffle the sounds of his parents arguing with loud music.

So, König did not have much of a safe space within his own home, but he had his Oma and her cluttered little house. She had books and plenty of food, even a cat, too. Though she was like his mother, stern and withdrawn, she would at least sit with him and tell him stories of her own life. She would at least tell him “Ich lieb dich, Käferchen!” in her quiet voice, stroke his head where he would sit with his nose buried in a book beside her. She would show him her dusty antiques, her old photographs, and in turn taught him to be a proper man by making him tend to what needed to be done around her house. And the garden. He loved his Oma’s garden, full of orchids, petunias, and tomatoes she would mash up to make him goulash or tomatensalat!

With Austria’s leading religion being Catholicism, I do think his Oma would have dragged him with her to service plenty, too. Not that he ever particularly enjoyed it… just zoned out with a plastic soldier in his pocket to fidget with or some trading card he spent the money he earned doing chores for her on. He’s never considered himself religious, thought himself to be bound for Hell no matter what, even if most of the time he felt that he was already there.

You take a puppy that’s been beaten down his entire life, but still remains eager and throw him in a barrack with people more horrible than any bully he’s ever had, though…? He starts taking his father’s advice more and more then. He wouldn’t harm anyone that he didn’t view as deserving of it, but it didn’t need to go that far that often, anyway. König is aware of the space he takes up by then, aware that all of his training has made him more broad and sturdy, and those playground fights are nothing compared to what he’s capable of now.

He gets his callsign from a quip about him owning nothing. His barrack is empty, devoid of pictures or any sentimental belongings. He rarely checks his phone, there might be the occasional missed call from a spam number, what is there to even see? He has no social media presence, every leave is spent in a shitty apartment only a days travel from his hometown, and he is utterly silent when the other soldiers invite him out for drinks. So yes, he’s a king. The king of absolutely nothing.

One of these rowdy boys does eventually coax him into talking to a woman. He loses his virginity in a disgusting bar bathroom, where he asks her after the two minutes he’s spent inside of her if it means anything to her at all. She laughs, washes herself in the sink and calms him down, but doesn’t give him her number or anything more than her first name.

He’s starved for love, utterly miserable without it, but doesn’t have much of a desire to seek it out, either. He’s seen how people are, how they treat him. But time and time again he will grapple onto any thread that may lead him to a pinhole of hope when it’s offered to him. For the most part, he has his hand and a perpetually almost-empty bottle of lotion.

And it’s not much of a surprise that König has contemplated suicide more times than he can count. It has never culminated in any way, only fearing that he would disappoint his men, even further disappoint his parents, maybe even a small part of him still believes in a Hell; that maybe with enough vigilantism on his part he’ll earn his way to a pleasant afterlife, one he teeters on the separation of believing in and not.

He doesn’t think about his mental health, always haunted by his father’s words, thinking that assuredly it would make him weak if he were to seek help for something like his own thoughts. So he overexerts himself during workouts, bottles everything other than rage and love inside: no one is going to see him cry, not ever again after being laughed at for him hundreds of times during school where he sat being called an “ugly giant” a “daydreaming freak” and an “idiot” near daily where silent tears did escape, only spurring further laughter.

Though I do not write him with these things in mind for every au, there are always subtle hints scattered about. ^^ I could probably prattle on forever about him, but I will leave you with this for now…

Hi anon! I feel you, Draco’s redemption arc was poorly done and so frustrating :( I hope you’ll enjoy these as they combine slow burn, friends to lovers and redeemed Draco. since in the Cicada Lily AU Macaque turns into a street cat to play with Bai He, was there a moment where she noticed that one of his eyes is gone and thinks that her cat friend is hurt and needs help (cause she's a little kid and doesn't understand that the injury is healed) so she just drags cat Macaque inside and tells her parents that the kitty is hurt and Macaque just kinda has to deal with being dragged around by the kid?

I imagine they probably take him to a vet or Sandy, and he has to get all the shots for strays and this is his first check up since he's been dead so he probably needs a few of them

Oh gosh XD

Macaque does his best to play an "aloof but kind alley cat" (he's an actor deep down) so he can keep an eye on LBD's host, only to underestimate how much the little girl comes to adore him.

Bai He is like four when she tries to befriend the local alley cats around the resturant, most often getting swatted or hissed at or accidentally scaring the animals away (loud toddler = cats going "no thanks"). She gets really upset; cus why dont the kitties understand that she wants to be their friend?

Then she hears a deep "Meow?".

Standing at her feet is a long-tailed cat that looks like it's made of pure shadow. A single orange eye staring up at her with curiosity.

Bai He squeals so loudly that Macaque nearly jumps out of his glamour. She scoops the cat up, even with him being almost her size, and cuddles him like he's the best thing she's ever seen.

Macaque feels a sense of warmth at giving the child that was destined to be a demonic host a friend.

Then as she's looking over his features one-by-one ("Fluffy tail! Big paw beans!") the little girl makes a gasp!

And goes running inside the restaurant with her new friend in tow.

Bai He, sobbing: "Baba! Kitty hurt!!" Pigsy, busy cooking: "Huh?" *sees weird cat* "Oh!" Tang, leaning down: "How is he hurt, sweetie?" Bai He, inconsolable: *points at the cat's missing eye* Pigsy & Tang: *share a look* Pigsy: "Sweetheart, it looks like he was hurt a long time ago, but it got better." Tang: "Remember when your big brother scraped his knee really bad and it was under a bandage for a long time? And when the bandage came off, it left a little pale line? It's like that." Bai He, trying to understand: "Really???" Tang: "Yes really, bug." Bai He: "Oh." Pigsy, realising: "Wait, where did you find this cat?" Bai He: *points to the backdoor to the alley* Pigsy: "...Oh we are so getting that thing vaccinated. Probably has fleas or something." Macaque: *insulted growl!*

And cue them taking the weird alley cat (now named "Mr Moonlight" via Bai He) to the vet to get him all his shots. And Macaque having to play "nice kitty" the whole time, even as he's getting weighed, given his shots, and a flea bath. The topic of "fixing" comes up at some point but Macaque quickly glamours himself the tell-tale TNR scars to avoid further mutilation.

In the waiting room they run into Sandy, taking Mo in for his regular check-up. This leads to the old friends reuniting, and Bai He meeting her favorite uncle ever.

"Mr Moonlight" is very protective of Bai He, and spends a large amount of his day lazing around, watching tv (he enjoys joining Pigsy for "Cooking with Chang'e"), and slipping outside for his regular walks.

To everyone other than the noodle shop fam tho, Mac is far less accomodating...

One time Bai He got hassled by kids at the park, and Mr Moonlight seemingly appeared from the shadows and started screaming and scratching at her bullies like a tiger. He got many treats that night.

James Lives AU (Title TBA): Outline & Chapter 1. Basically a James version of Kindly Stopped for Me. James survives Halloween 1981 in a way that I will not spoil for you, and wakes up later on when Harry is a teenager.

Forever is the Sweetest Con: Short multi-chapter. Jily as con artists who fall in love while trying to con each other.

Fragile Little Flame: A post-war Hinny fic! Most likely a one-shot, but we'll see what happens.

Upcoming Scenes, Events, Details

I've been making some minor changes to my outline for KSFM, so the exact numbers may change, but looking at it from a birds-eye view—Chapters 35 and 39 are two of the angstiest chapters in the entire fic😅 So...in preparation for that...I'm giving you all a slight break from the heaviness of this fic with chapters 33 and 34. I'm hoping it won't feel like a crazy tone switch after the previous two chapters, but I'm excited! Chapter 33 is a bit of a transition chapter (setting up some important things!) so maybe won't be the most exciting thing to read. But it will include Lily watching Harry in a Gryffindor Quidditch match for the first time and the gang celebrating Sirius’s 36th birthday!🎂🎂🎂 So hopefully you all will enjoy that!! And then Chapter 34 will be a Harry POV and will feature some good old-fashioned teenage romance drama😅

Chapter 3 of The Joker and The Queen has taken soooo long to write because it's something I sort of have to be in the right mindset for. (I still don't have a full outline for it because I posted the first chapter impulsively before I really thought about the plot very much lol) But I'm hoping it will be worth the wait!! The chapter will feature Lily meeting Fleamont and Euphemia (and possibly some Potter extended family members too) for the first time. I've never written James's parents before, so I'm excited!

Oh man, oh man. What can I say about the James lives au?? I'm currently drafting multiple vague outline ideas as I work through the timeline that I want it to take place in. But, despite what I've said previously, I'm finding myself starting to lean towards setting it in the OotP universe after all. (but no promises yet!) I'm staying kind of vague about the plot of this since it's still very much under consideration, but I'll just say that Peter's betrayal and its ramifications will be a major focus. The betrayal will happen slightly differently than it does in canon (as some of you have already guessed!), and I expect it to be devastating😈

Forever is the Sweetest Con is a fic that has been percolating in my brain for a WHILE now. I haven't officially outlined it yet, but I already made the banner so it's officially happening! It will be canon divergent, and I'm excited to explore the cat-and-mouse dynamic that I envision when I think about this one.

Fragile Little Flame is a fic inspired by Taylor Swift's "I Know Places" and is also one that I already have a banner and title for, but no outline. It'll be a post-war Hinny fic (I've been wanting to return to writing them!) and will take place in the 19 years between the end of DH and the epilogue. I haven't really thought about the plot in detail yet, but it probably won't be epilogue-compliant. Harry will (probably) be a Quidditch player rather than an Auror, and the fic will explore Harry and Ginny recovering from the war and rebuilding their relationship amongst the chaos of both grief and fame.

Silly Questions About Gwen’s Characters Pt. 1

This was a team effort between @bri-sonat and I (of course with help from the wonderful babies in the gc @na-shoba, @booitsrue, @funky--lesbian, and @margot-the-lesbian-god). He will be posting the next part! We will go back and forth with these fun little questions.

If they were an animal, what would they be? What is the first thing they’d do when they learn they’re an animal?

Brienne: Dragon, maybe? A force of nature to be reckoned with in human form and animal form. She’d fly around Westeros, looking out over the mountain tops, enjoying the freedom. Maybe take a little stop in Dorne, who knows.

Larissa: A cat. Larissa would appreciate a day where she could wander around Nevermore unnoticed or greeted happily by her students. Most likely she would nap in a window somewhere and forget about work for a bit.

Lucifer: A snake because uhm duh?? Snake :)

Phasma: A Sarlac or an Exogorth. Two foul ass monsters who feasts on human flesh, just like Phasma for real, except she doesn’t feast on human flesh, she just burns and cuts it instead.

Miranda: She’d be a cat, because she’s all “look how small, and their little whiskers and their little paws” and that’s so Miranda core, she is a cat. She’d be off on the adventure of her life, or she’d take a cat nap.

Do they pick wildflowers?

Brienne: Yes. Lovestruck Brienne would do anything to see her partner smile, and that includes picking small wildflowers with the edge of her very big sword.

Larissa: She has been known to pick a wildflower or two on her walks between meetings. Some days it's always nice to have a vase of pretty wildflowers on your desk, right?

Lucifer: Kills wild flowers to make God upset

Phasma: What wildflowers? That thing is blasted, burnt, charred in a single laser shot. Hates the sentiment of giving flowers as a gift of any kind, saying “flowers are for weak people who need to give plants to express love.” And then she’ll scoff.

Miranda: ABSOLUTELY, softest girlfriend ever. If her partner tells her she likes a type of wildflower ONCE, you bet your ass she’d have a full on bouquet the next time she sees them.

How do they like their eggs? (Fried, poached, soft-boiled, etc.)

Brienne: Miss Girl needs her protein for those MUSCLES, so she’ll just eat them however they are presented. Easiest way is a hard-boiled egg, but if she’s feeling a little bit fancy she’ll fry one.

Larissa: Poached fs. Over toast. It makes a fabulous breakfast and is simple enough to make. She doesn’t really like to cook so this meal works perfectly for her culinary abilities.

Lucifer: Perfectly over easy- like plastic-looking over easy eggs fr.

Phasma: Our Captain enjoys things the classical way, the old-school way, so she prefers a soft-boiled egg, and if it isn’t to her liking (aka the exact way she wants it), she’ll throw a fit. “Shoot someone just for fun” fit.

Miranda: LOVES scrambled eggs. Adds a little cream in there just to spice things up a little and thinks she’s so crazy for doing so.

How do they see themselves in their head, and how is that image wrong?

Brienne: Well, where do we start with this one? Miss Ma’am has been told her entire life that she is ugly, unconventional, unattractive, a monster, a beast. She’s been mocked, humiliated, made fun of, etc etc. She thinks that she is “the ugliest girl alive” and she fully believes that. BUT SHE’S WRONG, CAUSE SHE’S SO SEXY AND HOT AND BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS and all those things, but she can’t understand that because she has been told so many times that she’s not. But she’s wrong and people are dumb, and blind, and morons.

Larissa: She thinks of herself in a professional capacity more than anything, but ‘image is everything’ as she would say. She would consider herself attractive, but nothing more than that. Compliments that refer to her as anything more are usually met with a roll of the eyes.

Lucifer: Gods ex fav, self conscious about it, but knows they’re hot shit and are v sexy.

Phasma: Power does a lot to a person's confidence. Captain Girl knows that she’s hot, attractive, powerful and deadly. Knows that she’s the baddest bitch around and IT SHOWS!

Miranda: We all know what the deal is with Mirandy Baby. She’s treated like crap by her co-workers and even by her so-called “friend”, and with all those negative comments about her makes her doubt herself and her abilities, even if she tries her best to not internalize. For her looks, she would not call herself attractive, which is where the aspect of male validation comes into the picture. However, positive affirmations from others go a long way for her, ESPECIALLY if she finds them attractive herself.

If they talked in their sleep, what weird jumble of words would come out?

Brienne: Something really boring and honorable. Something around the lines of maybe “my sword is my vessel”, or something that makes no sense whatsoever, “I turned and then I was gone?” You just know her dreams are nuts.

Larissa: Something work related. Something about “I forgot the email”/“I’m late”, or something about a certain misbehaving student “Oh, god, what have you done?”. She doesn’t talk much in her sleep, however.

Lucifer: “You shouldn’t have done that” “I hate you” “God can’t save you” but like mumbled and sleepy so it’s more cute than scary.

Phasma: Phasma does not talk in her sleep, her stormtrooper training regiment made her become comfortable with sleeping on her back, and absolutely no sleep-talking or snoring. They got it rough over at the First Order, for real.

Miranda: Something really out of pocket. I’m thinking of that sleep walking scene in “Step Brothers”. I.e. “I'll kill you, Leonard Nimoy.”

(For good guys) If they were a villain, what would their evil dark lord name be?

Brienne: Probably a spin on her swords’ name, “Slayer of Oaths” or something that has to do with her mockful nickname, “Brienne the Beast” or “Merciless Brienne”. I don’t know, I can just see her killing everyone with no remorse if she were to be a villain.

Larissa: The Headmistress. She would be the hottest super villain. Holy Shit.

Lucifer: “Cute.” - Lucifer to this question.

Phasma: ….Captain Phasma

Miranda: This sweet bundle of joy couldn’t hurt a soul. With that said, she’d be a righteous and justice focused one. Only killing those that deserved to be killed. Earning her the evil dark lord name of “Angel of Judgement” cause she’s an angel of DEATH AND JUDGMENT.

Muffins or cupcakes? Explain

Brienne: Miss Gurl doesn’t even know what a baked good is. She had to make due with some dry ass bread made from water and flour during her time. HOWEVER, if she were to live in modern days, she’d love a gooey muffin.

Larissa: Ms. Sweet-tooth? She will take a cupcake of course. Larissa: “There is a proper way to eat these, you know?” She then proceeds to take the bottom off the cupcake and make herself a little cupcake sandwich.

Lucifer: Muffins. The frosting is too messy for them, they’re like: “dude what I can’t eat the frosting in one bite without this getting actually everywhere on my robe sleeves.”

Phasma: “Sugar is not in my strict diet, I must stay on top at all times. I can not allow myself a ‘cheat day’, as you call it”

Miranda: Cupcake, duh. BUT THE MINI ONES. bc she can just eat them in one bite like a giant!!!

Do they prefer arm day or leg day?

Brienne: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, we all know. She needs some big guns to hold that heavy and large sword of hers, so arm day all the way BABY. Also, for Brienne, arm day and shoulder day is every single day with the metal she’s carrying around, yeesh.

Larissa: Neither of these options are suitable. If you let her pick, she will choose cardio.

Lucifer: Leg day in stilettos

Phasma: You just know she has the most defined legs ever seen in the history of mankind and she loves maintaining them. Despite this she’s more of a shoulder-back day kinda gal, wanting to keep that back refined as hell, looking like a marble statue of a greek goddess.

Miranda: She has once chanted “Leg Day!” over and over again when Robin agreed to hit the gym with her once. Robin didn’t join her again, but her enthusiasm for leg day remains.

What is the longest they’ve ever slept in?

Brienne: 7 am. And when she did all hell broke loose. Panicking about how she’d slept for far too long, when she was actually on bedrest for getting harmed in battle and was told to sleep for as long as she needed.

Larissa: 10am. It was when she had the flu, but she did fall asleep around 9pm so she was impressed with herself. Otherwise she gives herself until 8am to get up in the summertime.

Lucifer: What’s sleep?

Phasma: What’s sleeping in? You know that she’s up and at ‘em hours before the space cock sings the song of its people. She has never overslept a day in her First Order life and will wake up at 5 am sharp every single morning.

Miranda: Miranda has slept multiple days in a row. After a 12+ hour shift, she can sleep forever and not bat an eye. But once she is well rested, she is go, go, go. There’s no stopping her.

They’re on their way to the hospital when they hit a parked car. They can’t stop, and don’t have paper for a note. They drive away without telling anyone what happened. How do they ease their conscience?

Brienne: By finding that person in some way, apologize a hundred times and ask if she can be of help in any way to repay the damages. But, if requested, will pull out her coin pouch and flex her wealth. Or, they’d see that she was a tall, strong and lean Lord Commander and not dare demand anything, shaking in their little boots and saying how it’s okay and that there is no need to pay them back.

Larissa: She will make an effort to find the person, but if the car looks banged up already…. She may shrug and not stress about it too much, especially if no one will notice.

Lucifer: Have the person who’s car got hit killed by some horrible accident so that way they aren’t responsible for the minor accident because of the major accident overshadowing it 😋

Phasma: Conscience? What conscience? Nah, Phasma is a gaslighter all the way. “I didn’t hit your vehicle, you hit mine” *points blaster at them* “now give me the money to repair it”

Miranda: Takes a thousand pictures and calls a friend/coworker to find the car and exchange information. She will not allow her ‘crime’ to go unpunished. She must right her wrong otherwise she will be unable to sleep at night.

I ended 2023 with Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. New year new Spock? Is that anything?

Here are my thoughts:

Overall I liked it more than TMP but much less than WoK, which is obviously the best one of the bunch! The construction of the movie seemed pretty messy especially compared to WoK but there were a lot of interesting concepts that sort of made up for that for me!

Things I liked:

💫 Bones Bones Bones. That old cranky bastard is destined to be my favorite in every movie, isn’t he?

💫 I love him carrying around Spock’s katra, I love his confession that he’s missed him, I love that he looks old and tired. I love how bravely he goes to the katra transfer ritual. He’s just doing a lot in this movie!

💫 I said this in my WoK post and I’ll probably say it for every movie, I just adore seeing these characters get older. I love seeing how their bodies and faces change with time. I’m in my mid 30s (which I know isn’t that old!) and I’ve been spending a lot of time lately thinking about aging and friendship and family and death so this aspect of Trek is really resonating with me.

💫 It wouldn’t be a fight scene if Kirk didn’t launch himself at his enemies like some kind of deranged cat.

💫 More Sulu!!! One thing that surprised me in TOS was how little of characters like Uhura and Sulu there was. Thrilled to see them in the movies being their awesome selves.

💫 and speaking of, I loved Uhura here. Her scene where she forces that little brat into the closet is perfection.

💫 Folks, if you don’t like Spirk shipping this is the wrong place for you to be. I love how sad Kirk is about Spock for most of this movie, and how happy he is to get him back. Look at that smile 😭

💫 They’re in love and no one can tell me otherwise. A man doesn’t blow up his beloved ship and lose his son for a coworker.

💫 Uniforms were a mixed bag here, and how I felt about them went up and down quite a lot! Initially I hated the little purple blouse Kirk wears, but once he took the jacket off and I saw the sleeves + those pants? Hello, yes, great outfit. Man looks like he’s going to Halloween as a gay little pirate and I have no complaints. I can’t find a great picture of it so just extrapolate what you can from this gif.

💫 I loved the mind meld scene. It felt so full of grief for them both.

And honestly there isn’t really a good way to sum up what I didn’t like about it. It just wasn’t a great movie! It was fine, and as you can see I did enjoy a lot of it! But it didn’t flow well for me.

I’m looking forward to more Star Trek in 2024!

Favorite soviet movies (and where to find them)

The general opinion about the soviet union varies from person to person, but I think many can agree that the movies that came from this time period were phenomenal. Here are my top favorite movies that I recommend, which also have generally good english subtitles.

Hussar Ballad

A rare musical-comedy gem that I absolutely adore. Shura Azarova, a 17 year old girl joins the army to fight against Napoleon. Plot twist: She's pretending to be a guy and starts falling for a fellow soldier, who she actually engaged to but he has no idea that his new friend is actually a girl (she doesn't like him in the beginning and no wonder lmao). Has a lot of catchy numbers, especially давным давно/ a long time ago/ davnim davno. It may seem a little weird, but watch the first 10 minutes, I guarantee that it will not be a waste of your time.

2. Ivan Vassilvveich changes profession/Ivan Vasilievich: Back to the Future.

A scientist successfully creates a time-machine but accidentally sends his building's manager and a thief all the way back in time to Ivan IV The Terrible's reign, whilst sending the actual Tsar to the modern decade. Chaos ensues for all.

3. Prisoner of the Caucasus/Shurik's New Adventures/Kidnapping, Caucasian Style (I had no idea this movie had this many translations lol) A kind but naive student named Shurik goes to the Caucasus on vacation where he meets a young woman named Nina, who he ends up accidentally kidnapping (yes, he's that much of a dumbass but he was told that bride kidnapping is a tradition that Nina follows and God forbid that anyone uses this thing called communication). It works out in the end just as chaotically as it started.

4. The Garage A cooperative is planning on buliding a garage for its members except for it now has to be reduced and there won't be enough space for everyone so someone's going to be left out. The comitee ignores said members objections, so someone locks them in for the night leading to them spending the night locked inside the museum which is also the meeting spot. It's actually quite funny, despite the odd description, but I am writing it whilst extremely caffeinated so bear with me here.

5. Unbelievable Adventures of Italians in Russia (Невероятные приключения итальянцев в России). A fantastic comedy. An elderly lady of soviet origin reveals to her grandaughter that there's a treasure buried in Leningrad. However, the wrong people hear about it, so they try to outwit each other in their race to Russia. Pretty funny, especially when the actual treasure hunting commences.

6. The Bremen Town Musicians An animated movie, but nonetheless deserving a mention. The troubadour with his gang of friends made from a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster travel around singing, until he meets a princess but the king doesn't approve of them etc. Pretty standard story, but the singing is amazing, especially Troubadours song "Luch solntsa zolotovo/Луч солнца золотого/ Beam of the Golden Sun" with the translation here sung by Muslim Magomayev who honestly deserves a separate post dedicated because his voice is amazing. The english subtitles are a bit iffy here, but nonethless it's worth a watch as it's only 20 or so minutes long.

7. The Mystery of the Third Planet Also an sci-fi animated movie, but the staple of my childhood. Captain Zelyoniy and Professor Seleznyoviy with his daughter go around various planets collecting new species for the zoo. However, on one of the planets they end up discovering something odd and before they know it, they're right in the middle of a conspiracy and a famous missing captain. Fantastic soundtrack and great animation.

There are many more movies that I'd definitely recommend, so this list will be updated sometime in the future.

I find it fascinating that a DMBJ fic is in my top 5. The other fics are all pretty old and in large and popular fandoms. I think it was just good timing in that I posted when a lot of people who have since moved on to other fandoms were into DMBJ off the back of Ultimate Note airing.

I try! I think it's just polite to at least say thank you. Occasionally I do forget of miss one though.

I don't really do sad or angsty endings

Yeah, pretty much all of them.

Very rarely. I think all my crossovers have been co-written with other people.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Not hate exactly, but somone once accused me of plagiarism because I posted a fic with vaguely similar themes to one of theirs. Luckily for me this was back in the LJ days where there was a comm specifically for reviewing accusations of plagiarism where independent people would review both fics. Of course they ruled in my favour but it was really fucking upsetting at the time.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I have, but I prefer not to.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I am aware of.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have! Someone translated one of my MCU fics into Chinese which made me very happy.

Yes, a bunch of times! It can be really fun if you get along well with the people you're writing with.

That's like asking me what my favourite fandom is. My favourite ship is whatever ship I am into at the time.

RIP my au for The Untamed where Lotus Pier was a hotel that famous musician Lan Wangji came to stay in while he was on tour.

Probably dialogue or soft domestic fluff

Description. A beta reader recently commented that in one of my fics I hadn't actually described what anyone looks like. I just want them to talk and kiss, okay?

Not full dialogue, no, but now that I've started writing in Chinese fandoms I think there are some words that can be used. Generally only terms of address, though. Like someone calling someone 'laoban'

I do still kind of want to write some Mysterious Lotus Casebook fic. At least one at any rate.

this is the much more fun post where we talk about au where ford has numerous cats and other nice things because i’m sick of depression! we need some feel good fluff!

i can’t say much about the cat au because i’m going to be writing about it, but! you will get headcanons after

the cat au is sort of a what-if scenario. stan opens the portal, ford comes back with numerous cats. ford is not getting rid of them, because he’s far too attached to them and they’re far too attached to him (also releasing something from another dimension, let alone a domestic cat, into the wild isn’t a stellar idea). one of the cats is named Icarus. another one is named Isosceles, because that cat just so happens to be the meanest of the bunch. why any of this? because ford just so happens to have spent the last few years of his time in the multiverse in a dimension primarily filled with cats. he’s gotten real good at cat-ing, don’t’cha know?

now for headcanons:

-stan likes all of the ‘cool’ animals (though not because they’re dangerous, or anything). sharks? he can tell you all about them. tigers? you bet he knows a ton. wolves? dinosaurs? raptors? dragons? yep yep yep.

-the mystery twins convince ford and stan to get phones for easier communication. they don’t use them much (they have other ways to talk to the niblings long distance, and they don’t typically get lost from each other), but ford does develop a habit of sending stan random things he finds (he got it from mabel)

-ford actually likes a lot of the same things mabel likes. stickers, gimmick sweaters, kittens, those old cartoons she watches. he thinks they’re endearing, and they’re a nice distraction from all the terrible things he’s been through. he is completely fine with sitting through a mabel makeover

-ford is really good at vocal mimicry. it’s a skill he initially learned in the multiverse for survival, but post-portal he moreso uses it for fun. mimicking various anomalies so they might get closer and let him get a better look at them, mimicking seagulls and stan to annoy his brother, mimicking various noises he hears around the shack because stimming, accentuating the stories he tells, impressing the niblings, etc. etc.

-upon setting sail, stan makes an effort to learn as much about the things ford struggles with as possible so that he can help when needed and make things easier for his brother in general. ford is starting to get annoyed because stan won’t stop trying to dodge his attempts to return the favor (emphasis on trying)

-the first time ford is ever at the niblings’ house is when their parents are away. the mystery twins give him a tour, show him and stan all the stuff they’ve been working on, show him some of the stuff he’s missed…it’s bittersweet, but he enjoys his time there

-i imagine ford and stan have issues mentioning certain problems they have in fear of looking like they’re trying to one-up the other. ford doesn’t mention when he’s depressed or if he can’t remember something. stan doesn’t mention when he’s anxious or having a more intense bout of chronic pain. the feel good part is that i also like to think they work it out eventually. they’re not so good at communication, but they’d like to improve, and that’s something that gets talked about as they get better over time. the feel good part is that there’s hope

-ford’s favorite planet is saturn. stan’s favorite is jupiter (he tells people it’s mars). dipper likes neptune and mabel is insistent on pluto, even though she’s aware it doesn’t technically count

-at some point, wendy starts calling ford ‘owlman’ as a result of an inside joke with the niblings. ford doesn’t get it. what? he’s not the owlman. is this another silver fox thing?

-during their time sailing, ford and stan get matching tattoos. kind of. ford doesn’t really have space for a new one, so he instead has a preexisting one modified to match stan’s. it’s also stan’s first actual tattoo!

Surviving recoms and their hair post-ATWOW...

((THIS IS PART 1/3!! Linking the rest to this post as I cover Mansk and Miles...)) Let’s get some context out of the way first.

- They probably didn’t do their haircuts themselves before, anyways

- They’d know how to use a shaving razor

- They didn’t have any with them back when they had to flee RDA to avoid excecution or worse punishments

Lyle, Miles and Mansk are stuck in the wilderness now, just the three of them.

What will happen to their hair?

Lyle Wainfleet

- He had stubble before (yes, it’s just less noticeable than in the old concept art) so facial hair growth is inevitable

- As a human and a recom, he always felt more youthful and handsome when he kept his face clean-shaven and his head bald, to avoid having to look at his receding hairline

- He was the only one who did his own shaves because his style was so simple; just be bald and clean-shaven

- Well, as a stray cat he doesn’t have any comfortable tools at his disposal for shaving. So he has no choice but to grow out his hair and beard.

- He ties his hair back to keep it out of the way. Some of the weaker-growing strands in the top of the hairline will remain shorter and hang freely.

- He gets the idea to braid his beard from Mansk, so he does.

- He experiences body positivity with the receding hairline for the first time, - feels kind of handsome with it.

- Here is Lyle after.. Even more time in the wilds. The braids and the wooden pearls are the skilled work of Mansk, who is an artistic and crafty person.

- He says “Ooraahh!” when thinking about legends of bearded wild men and being one. It doesn’t seem so bad anymore, it’s kinda his new “trademark”, just like being bald used to be. ((He still misses shaving, but tries to not think about it...))

- Aand... Then we come to the part of the story arc where Lyle and Mansk (not Quaritch, he’s missing somewhere out there) get taken in by a na’vi tribe.

- Na’vi provide their own shaving tools and teach Lyle to use them

- He decides to get rid of the big beard, but notices how his neatly shaved and styled goatee and moustache are seen as... Attractive and exotic outlines to his face, so he keeps them and is really proud of the style. His facial hair is quite the conversation-starter when meeting new na’vi!

- Shaves off most of his hair, but keeps some on the top and conceals it with big wooden pearls.

- Lyle loves body mods and was bored in the military due to not being able to get any, so he got some nice ear piercings!

- While flying, he wears a helmet that warms up his bald head and also provides protection to his eyes from the air flow.

- He looks pretty nice and mellow... Because he is. Lyle isn’t naturally someone who’d hold crudges. He’s loyal, loving and forgiving. The na’vi life and spirituality helped him come to touch with this side of himself.

I feel like I've probably typed this thought out before, but every time I'm reminded of the fionna and cake "discourse" (because people bring these two being so stylistically different so much, it's really nothing new) and how some people act towards towards genderbends in general (which, fair, I can get where you're coming from and all, sometimes it's just straight up ridiculous) it always seemed at least a little silly to me in this case specifically because, like, it all stems from

Nat just having a very curvy/flowy style and a whole world being built from said style, after the fact

Fionna and a lot of the characters in her world being similar but still somewhat distinctly different take on Finn's (no, I'm not talking about how the show justifies exploring the idea by making it Ice King fanfiction, that's an in-universe excuse for a real world concept being adapted for the show) like how in the comics Ice Queen was a frozen water nymph with a history with Cake, or in general how Cake isn't just "female Jake the dog" but is a cat dating weird black hole producing unicorn not *just* a male lady rainicorn.

4chan's old AT community being a mishmash of AUs and random OC, admittedly some more "problematic" than others

and just what happens when random people working on the show pop up here and there (I don't know about now, but people who work on shows stopping by 4chan's cartoon board because it was easily accessible and anonymous wasn't too uncommon)

But years after and due to an EXTREME lack of context (or just people who had their issues finding other people who had the same issues and then those posts blowing up to a point of people who didn't have said issues seeing it), some people just say "why does the young tube boy now have curves. Having curves is so fucked up because don't worry about it, by the way."

which on a surface level I understand but is incredibly ironic because at the same time, there were and still are people who liked her because she's largely just a regular looking girl in a similar situation to Finn, with her body type being seen as unconventional because that's kind of just what Nat goes for and why a lot of people like Bee and Puppycat

which very much goes against the "rules" usually used for Adventure Time characters and Finn specifically, and in any other show would probably have been heavily limited if not for how fast and loose the show played around with the concepts it was willingly to explore

Like, for as much as I understand (and how funny it is) making a "Genderbent" Finn be the same design but with a venus sign pointing to her in response to the preexisting Fionna, I don't think this same line of thought (alone) would have lead to anything else that marks just how wildly different the world of "Fionna and Cake" is, because it sort of misses the forest for the trees.

I don't know, I think it's sort of funny how these kinds of general thoughts can change, and how something that can be so wild at one point can end up being mundane and seen as "tropey" later on, especially with something on a mundane level as this. Because the idea that "people were fine with it then, so people should be fine with it now" is dangerous, but "people can voice their complaints now, so it was always kind of messed up" I wouldn't really agree with wholesale, either.

At the end of the day, it's kind of just differing opinions with different understandings of the contexts leading to them, especially since this just started as a silly little drawing that blew up into an AU that then got into the show it was made for, and etc.

It'll be very interesting to see how things change up in the actual Fionna and Cake special.

✨- How did you come up with the OC’s name?

Ida Sicari's name is derived from the Latin name for a type of recluse spider, Sicariidae. Fitting for a rogue/assassin-type themed after a spider.

🌼 - How old are they? (Or approximate age range)

It's hard to say because I haven't totally nailed down elven aging yet, but she's young, Thrandy's age. He's 13, so let's call Ida 14.

🌺- Do they have any love interest(s)?

She's got a little crush on the royal she's charged with protecting, Elthrandor Sessamine. Her crush on them WILL cause problems in the future with her family.

🍕 - What is their favorite food?

Tough one because I haven't decided on the cuisine in Exordium yet. Post-curse, she develops all kinds of allergies to things she used to love eating, so she's not really vibing regardless. However, the food she misses the most is a very garlicky, vinegary, roast chicken with chili paste and honey.

💼 - What do they do for a living?

She's currently a royal bodyguard in a shambling kingdom. She's facing a lot of pressure from her crime family to betray her charge currently. In a modern au, Ida would probably find herself in a businesslike setting doing something unassuming, like accountant work.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

She likes racy literature, secretly. She can't read (it's a very rare skill in Musaphia) but she's got a secret stash of smutty audiobooks. She does lots of knife tricks and acrobatics to stay sharp. She also enjoys collecting musical lamaellograms and instruments (these she keeps in her room in the palace mostly), though she doesn't know how to play any of them.

🎯 -What do they do best?

Ida's observant, and possesses a healthy degree of skepticism. She's a competent fighter and very stealthy.

🥊 -What do they love to do? What do they hate to do?

She hates having anything to do with her family. They're annoying, don't respect her boundaries, and are always trying to get her to do dangerous, illegal, and morally suspect things. She also rather dislikes being out in unknown territory and other places where she's on unsure footing. Ida genuinely loves being near Thrandy and the other Sessamines, though, and wholeheartedly cares for them.

❤️ - What is one of your OC’s best memories?

Uhh. Well, I feel like it probably would be something with Thrandy. Maybe she was in Thrandy's room listening to her play something on an instrument, giggling and laughing and eating snacks.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

I haven't fully fleshed it out yet, but I can imagine something akin to the nightmare she's given when she touches the cursed dagger of her brother, Goliath, morphing into some manner of monstrous creature as he tightened his grip on her. Shortly before U'tlunt'a was trapped by the Creature in the time loop, she was probably threatened by him in a similar way.

🧊 - Is their current design the first one?

Ida's very first design was in an rp between @the-goblin-cat as Elthrandor and myself as a vampire version of Ida, wearing a very frilly school uniform. She still has the mask, mutated mouth, hair, and overall demeanor, but she's been dressed in clothing better for Musaphia and has a deeper purple skintone now.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

My single biggest inspiration was Rayne from the Webtoon Homesick, but this is pure vibes. There's also a particular brand of body horror I'm trying to tap into with her involving an unassuming girlish frame and a monstrous face for contrast. I can't think of any specific entries of it just now.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in?

I think she could be at home in a horror story, or a horror-slice of life. She doesn't HAVE to be an elf as she wasn't one originally, but she's currently kind of living in a dark fantasy.

💚 - What is your OC’s gender identity and sexuality?

Ida's a cis girl, and I don't know if she would know too much about her sexuality just yet because she's rather young, but Thrandy is genderfluid, so whatever that is, that's what she is.

🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have?

Ida is the family baby. She has 7 siblings, all members of the a gang that peddles a drug made from concentrated moonblood resin. They're all named after members of the Sicarius family of spiders.

The oldest is her brother Goliath and he's the kingpin of the group and a real bully.

Then there's her brother Valletano, who is disabled, plays the violin, and helps cover for his siblings. Ida has a good relationship with him.

Next oldest is her only sister Fumoso, who manufactures the product. She's kinda fruity about it. Decrepit. Very mutated.

Her next oldest brother is Ornato, who does the finances.

Twin brothers Cariri and Yurensi are both dream magic enforcers. Cairiri is a talented dream mage where Yurensi trained Ida to be an assassin like him.

The youngest, Jeqi-Tenho is in charge of distribution. He's only 3 years older than Ida is.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like?

Ida never met them. They died shortly after she was born in a convenient and very tragic accident. She was raised by her siblings, but understands that on reputation they were honorable guardsmen.

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

I think she looks very cool. I also am excited to do more spider mutation stuff with her. Simple needs with regards to Ida, really.

✏️ - How often do you draw/write about the OC?

Not super often, though last year I did write a story about her and Thrandy seeking shelter in an ancient lighthouse in the middle of a desert.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?

I could, but I don't really know what I'm doing long-term with Exordium just yet.

💀 - Does your OC have any phobias?

Well, it was spiders...

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival?

I don't have one yet, but she's intended to be a foil for Nymra, Ellie's love interest in the Wickrath plot. I don't think they'd fight or anything though. They're both too awkward for that.

Since 2021! 3 years now. Jeez.

I suppose I was 21. Right as I started going back to school again if I'm not mistaken.
