Your keys jingled in the keyhole of your front door as you pushed it open, revealing the living room that you had longed to sit down in all day. Work sucked, you weren't going to lie, but there was something that was allegedly important going on, so you had no choice but to attend.

Your husband volunteered to watch your daughter on her day off of school, which wasn't a totally uncommon occurrence due to Fyodors line of work. He didn't mind watching d/n, he likes it a lot, actually. Fyodor values the quality time he can spend with his kid just as much as the quality time he gets to spend with you.

The pitter patter of your daughters feet got louder the closer she got to the living room, rounding the corner and smiling. "P/t!"

"Hey, what'd I tell you about running?" You say with a quiet and amused giggle as she throws herself onto you, hugging your waist. You run your fingers over the pretty braids weaved into her hair with a smile. "Papa did your hair?" The little girl nods excitedly.

"Well, you look very, very pretty." Another set of footsteps can be heard, this time softer. Fyodor rounds the corner with a smile, pulling you into a hug.

"Mm, my dear." He says, resting his head on you shoulder for a moment before pulling away, starting back towards the kitchen. He waves at d/n to follow him. "Come on, sweetheart, come help me finish dinner." She excitedly runs after her father, earning a soft and faint giggle from him.

Upon following the two of them into the kitchen, you can smell the beef stroganoff cooking, watching your daughter step up onto the little stool she dragged in next to Fyodor. They stand at the counter, Fyodor making sure she's nowhere near anything dangerous or hot. He gently pushes over a measuring cup filled with beef broth.

"Alright, Malyshka. Just pour this into the pan, and be very careful, alright?" He says softly, his voice gentle as he measures out the whipping cream. The beef broth can be heard being poured into the pan from the spot you're standing in, smiling at your husband and daughter making dinner together. Within a couple of seconds, Fyodor is handing d/n measurements of other ingredients, such as Worcestershire sauce and dijon mustard. He lets her stir it all in, guiding her whenever he sees fit.

"Alright, we're all done. Here, why don't you go sit down, I'll bring you and P/t your dinners, yeah?" He smiles at the young girl, rubbing her back before patting it. She nods and skitters off to join you at the dinner table. She blabbers on to you about everything she did that day, even running off to bring proof of her activities.

She comes back out, proudly showing off a coloring page filled with scribbles in numerous different hues. One of them was only slightly better than the other, the lesser messy one was labeled with Fyodor's name in his sloppy handwriting to match the coloring. You grinned at both of them, taking the thin sheets of paper and studying them intently.

"Wow, they're both wonderful!" Your daughter wears a proud smile at the praise from you, excitedly placing her hands on her hips. "Are ya gonna hang them up on the fridge?" You nod and ruffle her hair a bit, just in time for Fyodor to bring the food in for all three of you. He sets the plates down on the table, listening to the conversation still taking place between you and your daughter.

"Ofcourse I will, I love them both very much." Your daughter smiles, blowing on the small piece of meat impaled by her fork. "Maybe me and papa can have a coloring contest, you can be the judge!" She says to you excitedly. Fyodor smiles. "How about another night, Malyshka? It's getting close to your bedtime." He says, continuing eating his food. "Aw, but papa-" she sadly whines, Fyodor shaking his head. "No 'but''s, d/n. We can tomorrow night though, I promise." Fyodor smiles at her while she extends her outstretched pinky to her dad.

"Pinky promise?" She quietly mumbles. He grins and interlocks his pinky with hers, reaching across the table to do so. "I promise. You know i never break my promises, Malyshka." She smiles and nods in agreement. "Yeah, right. Tomorrow night then!" She says with a grin.

"Tomorrow night. Alright, d/n, time to go get ready for bed. Go put on pajamas and we'll come say goodnight in five minutes." You say to the small girl with a smile. She nods in compliance and quickly walks back to her room to change into sleep clothing. You look over at Fyodor, who is already looking back at you with a loving gaze.

"Ah, I forgot to apologize for the late dinner earlier, dear. I was quite busy being dressed up in tiaras and what not." Your heart warms at the thought of your husband bonding with your daughter. "It's alright, don't worry about it." You gently caress his shoulders before taking all the plates away from the dining table, washing them in the kitchen and sticking them in the dishwasher. Placing your hands on your hips, you nod in approval of your quick work. Fyodor waits for you in the doorway, nodding in the direction of d/n's room with a gentle smile.

You both approach the room, knocking to make sure she was finished getting ready for bed before you both entered. You said goodnight to her and kissed her cheek while Fyodor said goodnight and kissed her forehead. Before Fyodor could stand straight up again, d/n giggled and whispered to him.

"I'm gonna beat you tomorrow, so prepare yourself, papa. It's gonna be the best coloring you've ever seen!" She proudly claims, clearly confident in her coloring skills. Fyodor chuckles. "I believe it whole heartedly. Get some sleep, or you may wake up without that skill." He says, making sure she's 100% tucked in. She nods in understanding and snuggles into her blanket.

"Goodnight, Malyshka." Fyodor whispers, gently pulling her door closed a bit, leaving a crack between the door and the frame.

you probably met in middle school

some teacher (Daybrick) asked you to tutor Rodrick in some subject and you ended up getting along better than you would think, Daybrick regretted it the next day.

if anyone messed with Rodrick you came to his defense, no matter if they were twice your size, no one messed with your friend.

that's probably why you also ended up at home for 2 days with a bruised eye or something like that.

you spent 90% of your time at the Heffley's house, you slept there every other night at the most, you even had a little mattress that they put next to Rodrick's bed and you slept there.

That ended when you turned 13 as Susan didn't think it was a good idea for two teenagers to sleep together so now you slept in the basement which with Susan's help turned out to be a very comfortable den.

💚Considering she’d be only one witnessing how you felt and Eren wouldn’t be the one to hear you figured why not let your best friend know?Of course, you were unfortunate and as Eren walked by Mikasa’s room he heard what she had asked you.

💚And he was definitely interested because not even he knew this about you. Mostly because he knows you'd never tell him. So he couldn't help but get curious and listen. If there was thing Eren was known for, it was that he loved watching you/listening to you and knowing everything about you, especially your feelings, which you'd never share or secrets you wanted to hide. So he couldn't help but want to hear, I mean, you two weren't exactly quiet after all he could pretty much hear everything you two were saying.

💚“C’mon tell me, I want to know.“ She urged, wanting to know what you were hiding.

💚Eren was on the edge of his seat to know by this point, seeing how dear it was to you to keep it a secret from everyone, including your best friend.

💚Mustering up the courage you’d admit, “Eren, is my first love.”

💚“What?! You mean you’ve never liked another guy before him?” Mikasa would ask, completely shocked about you not having previous crush or anything.

💚“No, I haven’t.” You’d admit, shaking your head.

💚“Wait so, your boyfriend is your first everything? Like crush, first kiss, all of that?”

💚“Pretty much.”

💚Eren, of course, had become quite smug by what he had heard. and he was definitely going to ask you about it. Especially because you'd never admit this to him. Of course to ask you he had to find the timing of this. He wasn't going to bring it up in front of others because he knew that would make you feel uncomfortable.

Confronting you:

💚You were watching TV together, well, you were, Eren was just looking at you. At some point, he wanted to get your attention and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. This caused you to look at him, "What?" you asked, curious about what he was doing.

💚He'd shake his head before smiling, "It's nothing, I was just thinking of how nice you look."

💚You look back at the TV being at a loss of words as you blush. He'd chuckle at your shy action, "I guess I really am your first love then, huh?"

💚“What?” You’d say confused, not wanting to act suspicious since your conversation with Mikasa earlier has quite a similar topic. There’s no way he heard you both talking, right?

💚“Am I your first love?” He'd ask, looking at you to give him an answer.

💚“No.” You’d say as you avert your eyes and look back at the screen.

💚He’d smirk, “You’re such a liar~”.

💚“Ah!” You’d yelp as he push you down on the couch and started tickling you. “Eren! Hey, stop it!” You'd laugh trying to pry his hands away.

💚You frown because you don't want him to know all this. “You weren't supposed to hear that.” You'd mumble, burying your face into his chest as he stroked your hair.

💚He’d glance at you before smiling, "What that you have the "hots" for me?" He'd laugh obnoxiously.

💚"Stop, that’s embarrassing.” You’d say annoyed.

💚"Never.” He’d joke, making you pull away to look at him with a frown on your face.

💚Seeing how you looked upset and annoyed he felt bad about it. But also thought you were really cute. “Awww, babe. I was just teasing I promise. I think you're really adorable.” He'd grin as his index finger tapped your nose.

💚At first you thought he was apologizing to you but really he just called you cute, to which you understood he was still playing with you.

💚“Eren—hey, you’re still teasing me!”

💚He’d laugh seeing you catch on as you crossed your arms, “you’re unfair.”

I really adore the idea of Danny seeming really confident and overall having a grasp on getting along in his fake identity for a new start in Gotham. Only for it to be quickly realized he's putting on a really good act and some simple investigation unravels it all (or, most of it.) Like facts are not matching up enough for his fake identity and when members of the bat family look into why this is for him they're quickly realizing that it's maybe a shotty identity because it was hastily put together but a teenager.

Faking his age enough to be a legal adult (18) so he can control over himself? Check. Faking only part of his name because he's still attached to his old life and won't admit it? Check. Leaving no paper trails and only paying in cash? Check. Refusal to participate in things that may lead to his identity or lack of one be discovered? Check. Kid also being 15/16 at most and being shit at hiding it physically, he cannot pass off as anything else than a young teenager but all documents say otherwise? Check.

Tim and Barbra quickly notice how he covered solely for himself. At least Tim was able to fake an uncle (temporarily), Danny isn't able to fake any information aside from the basics in regards to any family. It's quick to tell he's good at faking information but he's nowhere near the skill of Tim and Barbra. Once they find a single sliver of actual information on Danny and figure out who he really is, it opens a lot of questions while closing others. It also makes getting an eye and overall some semblance of control over the mysterious Danny situation they have on hand.

Like, Tim and Bruce at the very least are going to trick Danny to come into Wayne Enterprises to discuss his scholarship and hit him with "hey, we can't exactly give a scholarship to a person who doesn't exist, we know you are hiding from something by looks of our research. People don't fake new lives for the hell of it. We will however help you with whatever is going on, give you the scholarship, if you tell us what is going on." Danny of course is like, ah, no, I'm going to bail. But of course is cut off by Bruce suggesting that if he leaves without accepting their help, they'll be forced to report him and he'll be a ward of the state at best. That some investigation will happen because them finding out that Danny Fenton is considered dead before he was abled to be transferred to the care of a Vlad Masters, that is parents and friends are dead, and is overall an orphan is a big deal. ESPECIALLY when Danny Fenton is pretending to be Danny Duxo, a legal adult, and out on his own in Crime Alley and barely scraping by to be able to get to college.

They force his hand of course and accepts their help (and basically becomes a ward of Bruce Wayne). Danny convinces them that he will have Bruce acting as a guardian for him but he gets to remain at his apartment, he doesn't want to lose his tech he's working on but he's also afraid of anyone learning about his ghostliness. Does this work out? No, not for long. After a few weeks of being on his own and going out at night as a vigilante, injuries catch up with him. Jason comes by a few times a week to drop food off and comes into Danny one day bandaging some pretty nasty wounds. He brushes it off as some malfunction with some tech he's messing with but that incident causes him to be relocated to the Wayne manor so if an injury does happen, he's not alone.

And to think, none of this would be happening if he was better at faking an identity. He should have honestly asked for Technus' help for that and maybe he wouldn't be in this mess. This is all just surrounding his human identity too! Oh my god, the bats are going to freak when they find out Danny is way more than human and also a vigilante!

it was a little annoying because you knew your lecture hall was filling up with every second the bus was trying to reach the university bus station through all the traffic.

eventually you reach your lecture hall along with a cluster of other students for your arts history class, not the most interesting thing on 9 am mondays...

you entered from the back of the classroom, you see the professor preparing her lesson way at the front and the back of many students as they murmur amongst themselves.

with about 90% of the seats already taken, you wouldn't be surprised if you had to sit on the stairs at this point. eyes wandering for an empty seat, blond head stood out with no one beside one of his seats.

walking down the steps to reach the mysterious guy "sorry, but is this seat taken?", oh... he's so cute

with styled bleach blond hair, thick eyebrows, curious eyes, slightly ajar lips and neck tattoo saying 'role model,' you were taken aback by his good looks.

"no, take a seat" a warm smile welcomed you to your seat before he went back to looking at his laptop to prep for class.

just as you get out your notebook, your professor starts the lecture.

"good morning class, hope the travel to class was great considering the beautiful weather today," ironic considering you're actual trip.

the professor goes through the basic course breakdown to help everyone gauge expectations. you're already writing down due dates in your notebook's calendar. the prof seems really chill and you appreciate that.

she switches her slideshow to a large text that says 'introduce yourself to your seat partner and tell them a fun fact'

"you guys see the screen... do it, i'll give you guys 2 minutes" the class giggles at her bluntness.

you put down your pen to focus on this mysterious guy. he's confident and relaxed, he avoids making the situation awkward and goes along with the professor's request.

"hi, i'm shen ricky. i'm an international student majoring in performance arts and... my fun fact is that my friends said i resemble a cat earlier today" he smiles to himself, seemingly unexpected fun fact he chose to share.

"oh? i dont see it exactly... nevermind, maybe i just need to know you more to see it hah."

you on the other hand can't seem to not be awkward, trying to smile through it "uhm anyways, i'm y/l/n y/n, and i'm a student under the entertainment management program and this is one of my electives. my fun fact is that i love to crochet, you'll probably see me do it in lecture at some point."

"ah!" you were startled by ricky's excitement, "crocheting sounds so fun, i need to learn it at some point." you turn slightly pink, seeing someone be so interested in your seemingly boring hobby.

ricky continues on, "i think that just means we have to be friends and sit in class together so you can teach me," suddenly, ricky's hand as his phone out with his new contact ready to be filled with your information.

"sure!... this isn't like flirting or anything right?" as much as you were attracted to ricky's looks, you always set boundaries for yourself for comfort. you wouldn't let some new blond guy mess that all up.

he scratched the back of his neck, "oh no, not at all, but i really apologise that I came off that way. i'm actually interested in crocheting though!" his genuine tone was enough for you to forgive him and give him your contact.

"okay class lets start with the first lesson," before you could even give him your phone to fill in his number, the professor quiet downed the class.

unknown number: hi it's ricky, boy from arts history.

you take a bite of your favourite late-night snack, gummy worms. you had started studying a bit and took a break to go to your closest convenience store.

y/n: hi! its y/n, why are you texting at this hour? lol

you change the contact name,

ricky: sorry are you busy? I just wanted to make sure you still wanted to sit next to me in class on wednesday, if not thats fine!!

you giggle to yourself, why does he text cute too...

y/n: oh no worries, i just got my daily dose of gummy worms haha

y/n: but yeah we can meet up before class and sit together! i'll make sure i'm early next time...

ricky: lol yeah maybe to get a good seat, i'm usually in the library an hour before class

and with that the conversation ended just as you re-entered your apartment to get back to studying.

getting up early wasn't your favourite activity, but ricky said he would be in the library at 8 am (like a crazy man) so you decided to give him some company and teach him how to crochet.

you come in the library with an iced coffee in hand and leftover gummy worms in the other. a distinct blond head and neck tattoo became proportionate as you closer. "how are you so awake at this hour?" you yawn sitting in the chair across from ricky's.

he laughs, "i try to eat a full meal, i don't know if gummies and coffee count as one," you disregard it, "yeah, yeah.”

you set down your food and pull out two small bundles of yarn and two crochet hooks. "one for you, one for me. which colour would you like?"

"green please!" (i miss rijeong) you slid the pale pastel green bundle to his side of the table, leaving you would the baby blue yarn.

an insightful and detailed lesson on crocheting and somehow ricky's chain fell apart 3 times. he was genuinely trying. you thought it would frustrate him but him seeing you giggle at his mistakes made ricky feel warm inside somehow.

you sighed and made ricky put down his hands from crocheting. "we should got go to class now, i'll teach you another time. take notes for me as a trade?" it was an offer ricky couldn't give up, in his head it gave himself a reason to talk to you even more.

ricky simply nodded and put the yarn and hook into his bag. you guys walked out of the library, heading to the library with 15 minutes to spare.

during class, you spent most of it crocheting while taking in the information and ricky took notes on his laptop. yet he was the one not really listening, he was focused on how endearing you looked simply crocheting and listening intently. you didn't notice that though.

you ended up making some cute hand rags that you needed for your kitchen. "thoughts?" you ask ricky while showing off your 30 minutes worth of time. his signature sweet smile arose "very stylish, you're so cool." his non-chalant remark made you blush and shyly put away your pieces as the professor had ended the lecture.

"same time friday?" ricky said standing up, backpack slung over one shoulder, "same time every lecture," you confidently spoke, smiling and quickly going to your next class.

you weren't even in rush, your next class was in 30 minutes. ricky stood still in the lecture hall smiling to himself.

every lecture you began making random pieces, eventually making a sweater, a scarf, mittens, cup holders, and the list goes on. some of these for you, and some for ricky.

you stopped going to your convenience store at night, you became accustomed to ricky getting you some gummy worms the next day. in return, you got him and yourself iced coffees for the day. suddenly being awake at 8 am wasn’t so tough

as well, everyday you and ricky were texting more, hanging out after classes, usually to cafes. ricky was able to make a progress and finish a small square, but the focus needed made him want to take a break from the hobby. he said he preferred watching you crochet anyways.

this is what friends do right? hang out, talk and laugh, share sentimental stories, get each other small gifts, hug tightly goodbye, holding hands...

your boundaries were loosening up. however, with how much you enjoyed ricky being with you, you didn't mind it.

you were tapping your coffee lid as a fidgeting habit, ricky doesn't even acknowledge it. there was a comfortable silence as he scrolled on his phone and you looked out the window with the warm sunlight yet the dead trees and snow in the plant beds. the winter made the outdoors almost unbearable as you hated the cold, but you felt warm next to ricky…

you turn your attention to ricky and his relaxed state, focusing on his screen. "hm." you made a noise that caught his attention, he rose his eyebrows as he shifted his focus to you. he put down his phone and rested his chin on his hand, elbow propping him up.

"what you thinking about?" not phased by his flirtatious antics at this point, you didn't move. "i guess you do look like a cat,” you poke one of his cheeks. now he was confused, "all of a sudden?"

"yeah! like you have big doe-y eyes and your cheekbones kinda resemble the follicle cheeks... you just need the ears and whiskers." you eye-smile at the thought of rickys 'intimidating' face with cute ears and drawn on whiskers.

rickys ears can't suppress his feelings anymore, they grow bright red and he turns away, looking outside to the bright outside. "whatever." you knew he liked it but you let it go.

"we should go to class now," ricky stands up with his bag over his shoulder, waiting for you to pack up and walk with him to class. you reply a quick 'okay' before you stand up.

ricky already has his hand out for you to hold. you intertwine fingers with him and walk to your guys' class.

sitting in class you had some pink yarn in hand but you can't think of making anything other than those cute cat beanies you've been seeing online. mainly because you really wanted to see ricky in one.

it was simple and quick to make so you made two, matching hats make such a cute pair.

ricky was still actively committed to the deal where he does notes while you crochet. you hid the two pieces in your bag when he was focused.

"yah, what'd you make this time, i didn't even notice you finished it early"

you both walk out of class early and felt a strong wind chill hit both of your faces. ricky hides his face in the scarf you made before in class. "its so cold still, are you cold?" you see ricky's breath in the air.

"well i think this will warm us up," you smile pulling out the hats from your side bag pocket.

he makes a little happy 'o' face, ready to cherish the next crocheted piece you made. "ouu, what is it? what is it?" his eagerness made you smile big, and ask him to close his eyes.

he closes them quickly, eager to see what it is. you snuggly put on his cute pink cat beanie on his head, and then your own. "okay! open!"

ricky is completely whipped for you seeing your adorable face and a cute cat hat. "you're so cute, what about me? what do i look like?" he quickly pulls out his phone to swipe to the camera app and see what he got.

"the same one dork, aren't matching hats cute?" you can't even hide your smile, the cold was helping you look like your bright red cheeks were appropriate for the weather.

ricky had slowly begun to recognise your soft, vulnerable side had been coming out when you were with him. you were truly comfortable around him and it made him melt inside.

you suddenly felt your face smushed up against ricky's chest, a warm hug. "thank you y/n. it is cute" his little giggle came out as a vibration against your ear. you were also melting.

you look up at him and everything felt perfect. "hey ricky?"

"hm?"

"i love you."

a moment of comfortable silence, with the warmth of his heart heating up yours, you knew what he felt too.

"i love you too, y/n"

How would Muzan, douma and akaza feel if their s/o was like ace in justice league? (from the royal flush gang) being cheated out of their childhood thanks to non-consensual testing and being made into a weapon... it can really mess someone up, you know?

Hmmm! I haven't ever seen Justice League, but I looked up Ace's wikia page and have familiarized myself with this concept. This is a really, really interesting ask, thanks!

So, the way I'm going to tackle this is by going through each of those three demons one by one and saying how they would feel and behave in this situation, where their S/O was tested on as a child and basically used for the purpose of destruction, not even allowed to be their own person.

Muzan

From the moment Muzan found out about his S/O's childhood, he would remain calm and simply ask where those scientists are now. When his S/O tells him the whereabouts of the lab, he'd disappear in the blink of an eye, and return moments later, bloodied.

His S/O would be in shock; eyes wide, hardly able to process what's in front of them. Muzan would place a hand on their cheek, cold, but smooth like velvet, then utter: "The ones who caused you harm have been dealt with," he'd kiss them delicately on the forehead. "You are mine, and I won't let anyone harm what's mine."

Muzan would have a sense of possessiveness towards his partner and a love for them that meant he would dispense with anyone who harmed them, even if it was years ago or even if their partner told him not to. Simply put, he doesn't believe anyone who hurt what's his should walk this earth unpunished.

Douma

In a weird way, Douma would relate to his S/O in this situation. It's different, but he was robbed of his childhood as well; his parents made him the symbol of their cult starting from when he was a toddler, and thus, he could never be a normal kid. Therefore, he would be empathetic towards his S/O's past, and show a new side of himself.

Typically, Douma is playful and doesn't take life too seriously, but he would be more pensive as his S/O reveals their past, holding them close to his chest and looking down at them with a slight frown on his face. When they have told all, he would just be sad, saying how pathetic humans are to use one of their young as a weapon. He would kiss his S/O, then open up to them about his past as well; how he was used as the mascot for a cult, and how this affected him growing up, that he wasn't allowed to play with other children or do anything he wanted at all. He would say something like, "It seems we have more in common than either of us ever thought, my love."

However, in Douma fashion, he would find a playful silver lining to the situation which is that neither of them had a childhood, so they can make up for it now by never losing their inner-child. After all, they didn't get to be children before, so why not make up for it now? He would remain his playful self around his S/O, hoping that his childlike nature would continue to make up for lost time, even if just a little.

Akaza

Akaza is just about the most protective man alive, so upon finding out about his S/O's past, he would be furious. Initially, he would have the desire to track down and kill every single one of the people who had been responsible for putting his S/O through that. However, his S/O would be able to dissuade him by telling him that it's not worth it. He'd say something along the lines of: "You're right. heavy sigh I just... Can't bear to think of what you must be going through, I wish I could make it all go away."

His S/O is the love and light of his life, everything he does is in devotion to them. Thus, knowing what happened to them and not being able to do anything about it would eat him up inside. Akaza would always be a protective and doting partner, but I feel like after finding out about his S/O's past, he would become even more protective as he doesn't want them to hurt again. He would do his best to help his partner heal from their past, but without putting any unrealistic expectations on them to heal fully. He'll patiently be by their side the entire way through.

Some House of Black headcannons:

TW: Mental health issues (ED, Bipolar, GAD, Schizophrenia), abuse, starvation, slight mention of death

All of them have a mental illness of some sort. Bellatrix has schizophrenia, this developed when she was around 23, before then, while she would've still been a really messed up person, her actions were her own, but I think that the longer the war went on she started worrying about everything because she started hallucinating that the ministry wanted to get her specifically. Narcissa and Andromeda both have very bad GAD: most of Narcissa's anxiety comes from her family situation, namely her husband and sister being a very high up Death Eater; most of Andromeda's anxiety comes from her running away to be with Ted Tonks because she feels as though her family is gonna hunt them down and destroy everything they made together. Sirius is Bipolar, this developed when he was 15 or 16 but before the prank, which I think would've been his first manic episode. Regulus has anorexia and depression: I think Walburga starving him proper messed up his view of his body, as if it was something that needed to be purged- he only eats breakfast when he's at Hogwarts which is normally just an apple and a slice of plain toast, when he's at Grimmauld Place he tries to skip out on meals but when Walburga forces him to eat with her he just makes himself sick afterwards or take laxatives to get all the food out of his body and when he's not in class or doing homework, he's normally on the Quidditch pitch practicing by himself or running laps around Hogwarts for as long as he can before he feels like he's about to pass out.

Narcissa really misses Andromeda and wants to meet her at least one more time before either of them die.

Bellatrix was like Sirius in the fact that she would take punishments for her sisters, which made her fall deeper into her madness rather than being scared of it like Sirius.

When Sirius first went to Hogwarts, Regulus started to get into trouble with Walburga for the slightest misstep. Partially to try and ensure Regulus was in Slytherin, but also because Sirius wasn't around to take the fall for Regulus anymore. By the time Sirius came back from Christmas break in his first year, Regulus had been crucioed so much that he couldn't stop shaking and could barely get out of bed without crying due to how much pain he was in.

Kreacher would help Sirius and Regulus escape punishment if he was certain that Walburga wouldn't find out what happened. Even if he couldn’t help heal them, he would put small portions of healing potions into the dismal meals they were allowed during their punishments.

Orion was an extremely neglectful father basically all year round, yet on birthdays and Christmas' he always managed to get Sirius and Regulus exactly what they wanted without fail. Thinking that the presents would make up for his lack of presence in their lives.

Walburga did love Sirius and Regulus in a really twisted way. She was raised by abusive parents, and she swore to never be like them, but when it came to her own kids, she had no idea how parent them without the abuse, so she thought it was necessary. In her head, every time she punished Sirius and Regulus, she was showing her love for them. When Sirius ran away, she wouldn't leave her room for weeks. She wouldn't cry she would just stare at the ceiling, wondering why she became exactly what she feared, why she forced her own son into running away out of fear. When Regulus died, she completely broke down. She lost both of her sons because she forced them away from her. She died not long after Regulus went missing.

people who say that jake as a character has only 2 layers don't understand how bad hussie's writing actually was. no, the way jake's character was built is such a confusing mess.

first of all, like all alpha kids, jake was written in the backwards way: someone who we only knew in the form of mysterious 1-dimensional parental figure needed to be fleshed out in the form of a main character. but here's the first very weird choice made by hussie: the big part of grandpa's and nanna's characters was the fact that they are, well, old people. with old-timey outlook on things and speech patterns and stuff like that. and for some bizarre reason hussie desided to write jane and jake as sorta (?) old people who are also teenagers. they are unmistakingly grandpa and grandma, but not because they had their character traits, but largely because they're still old people.

another layer to this is harleybert legacy. it makes sense of course, hussie put a lot of attention to this sort of "genetic predispositions" when it comes to all characters of homestuck. but for some reason jake got the worst case of it. his thing is that he's an exaggeration/flanderization/satire of what john and jade as characters were. john likes shitty movies? jake likes all the movies especially the shittiest ones. john is a bit goofy? jake is the goofiest. jade is excited about the game and somewhat naive at the start of the story? jake is completely oblivious to everything and only cares about adventures. jade has a weird pet? jake has a whole island of weird pets. jade is overpowered? jake has the biggest absurd dumb-looking form of power in the comic. just compare this to the much more subtle writing of dirk and roxy and you'll see that there's something almost mean-spirited in the way jake is written. i have no idea why.

next layer that hussie decided to add to already badly written character of jake is the weird parody on misogynistic tropes. here's the question hussie present to us: what if we have "a useless sexy woman" character but he's a boy instead? and i still have no idea what hussie was thinking here. it's not like this trope was super popular at the time (early 2010s) and someone desperately needed to make fun of it. it was more of a late 90s thing really. it could be some form of ironic self-critique, but i don't think it was the case, because, if anything, hussie did a pretty good job writing women in homestuck. but here's a boy who's a parody of something that had not been relevant for 15 years or so. who's everyone's love interest and no one think about him as a person. this wasn't even a clever commentary really. jake isn't happy with his situation, but it's not an important point in the story and nothing comes out of it.

another layer to jake's character is that around this time hussie decided to put a lot of focus on classpects. especially thanks to calliope and aranea, a lot of act 6 is focused on the weird self-analysis of the story where we are basically forced to look at it through classpect reading. the unfortunate consequence of this is that all new characters are very confined to their classpects, but skilled writer can work with that and even make character writing more interesting than it was before. you'd think that hussie could use this opportunity to explore classpects more, make them deeper by writing complex characters, but. ugh. that's not really what they did?

actually hussie took a bunch of character traits from already existing characters and gave them to the new ones. jake is a page? tavros is also a page. so jake is a bit like tavros, because of course tavros personality was always connected to his classpect. hussie wrote a vast majority of homestuck through "backwards self-justification" method and that's exactly why jake's personality connects to tavros. and funnily enough, since hussie kinda hated tavros's personality (which is so so weird to me), they also ended up hating jake's personality as well. which, i think, was eventually the reason hussie gave up completely on writing jake.

that said, reading homestuck serially, i liked jake. i still like jake! fandom had a very different outlook on his character and i remember we all kinda found him relatable and waited for his "big" moment where he finally says what he thinks and chooses what he wants to do with his life. hussie didn't go the route we hoped for, at all.

I think pac and fit are constantly surprised at the effort both of them put in to knowing and caring for each other but they're confused about why the other would be surprised. Fit learns Portuguese, Pac thinks that that's wild, Fit thinks it's just for easier communication and basic respect, and doesn't get why it's a big deal. Pac learns sign langauge because deaf Fit headcanon rules my brain, Fit is caught way off guard and doesn't get why Pac would do that, Pac is now on the side of "it's just basic respect and communication". Pac is taller than Fit and loves being big spoon because he needs to be hugging someone or something when he's sleeping or he gets really sad. Fit tries to teach Pac rock climbing and it doesn't work, so they decide to go get coffee instead. Ramón is so on board for Pac being his new dad and is in cahoots with Richas to get them together. Both of them are so sad that it's going so slow. They try to get sleepovers as much as possible to get Fit and Pac together more often. Ramón at some point is hanging out with Richas and Pac and starts talking about his dad being cool, and there's a bit of miscommunication and then it's clarified that Ramón is straight up calling Pac his dad. Pac is confused about this, because isn't Fit your dad? And Ramón is like "?? No. He's Fit. You're dad. Or pai, but Richas calls you that so you're dad to me" and it's just a circle of conversation where Richas and Ramón are just calling Pac and Fit their parents because they've decided that they're not moving fast enough, so the two of them will just have it be instead.

Pac puts stickers or engravings in his leg of his family members and at some point there's a(nother) F on there for Fit. Fit doesn't usually mess with his arm that much because he's a "as long as it functions, it doesn't need anything else" guy, but one of the scratches on it looks suspiciously on purpose and P shaped. When they're finally A Thing, Mike spends about two weeks pestering Fit about letting him mess with his arm because it's horrifically out of date and he wants to fix it up soooo bad. Fit gets it back and all of the other scratches have been fixed/sanded/ect but the P has been very much left alone, if not further engraved and Mike is just making a face about it. And Fit can't say shit.

oh theres absolutely no way fit isnt at least partially deaf, man has been in the vicinity of wayyy too many explosions to not have hearing loss and at least moderately severe tinnitus.

I respect your vision of pac being the taller one however personally i like to stick to their cc-accurate height difference of fit being Pretty Tall and pac being itty bitty. I also dont think they really spoon i think pac falls asleep starfished on top of fit and fit likes the deep pressure bcuz it feels safe and they wake up in just a fucking tangle of limbs cuz they both move like crazy in their sleep without letting go.

Ramon only ever calls fit dad in serious situations so i dont think he would call pac dad but i fucking love the image of that happening so im rejecting my own characterization for the sake of cuteness thank you for putting that in my head. also YES RICHAS + RAMON SLEEPOVERS <3333 they conspire to get pac and fit in romantic situations and then act all grossed out when they flirt (at least ramon definitely does richas probably lives for it)

fit having a p engraved in his arm is adorable, I like to think it would be the little pacman logo instead, pac scratches it in one day before theyre even together just out of boredom and fit doesn't even notice him doing it and whenever it's pointed out he just pretends he doesn't see it <3333 "I have no idea what you're talking about"

Whitney (as Vrel said) would be a p good parent, I think they probably had / have at least one younger sibling that they take care of, and so they kinda get how it is with a child, they'd probably relax a lot, definitely stop bullying you but still would have some issues with being close because they're a bit emotionally constipated lol, also would think you're pretty hot while you're pregnant, they'd probably find more ways to mess around with you in public (than they already do) and show off how they've claimed you completely <3

Robin would probably freak out at first and would be so worried about being a good parent the whole time, but they'd definitely be there as much as possible; they might end up doing some of the mire unsavory jobs willingly so that they can try to take some of the burden off you while you're pregnant, would probably be a little scared to do much sex with you because they don't wanna hurt the baby and they're a sweetheart :)

Alex would probably be pretty good at being a parent as well, I think it'd be a similar situation with Whitney where they have siblings that they've had to take care of, plus the added bonus of not having to live in the orphanage helps a lot, would probably be worried about u not being as close to the hospital as u could be but I think you'd reassure them and they'd be fine, would probably be somewhat into u being pregnant? I think it would be a little less hot to them because they're so used to it with the animals that it's just a normal thing to them, on the flip side, they might be like actually super into it (could rival Kylar) but have conflicted feelings about it

Eden would probably be pretty happy, maybe somewhat worried about getting enough food for you and the baby, would definitely think it's super hot though, probably would call you Mama or something like that when you're having sex and wanna have a whole bunch of kids running around eventually (they have a huuuuge breeding kink I think)

Great Hawk and Black Wolf are probably pretty similar, they're both overjoyed to hear that ur pregnant (they probably tell you that u are in fact) and are somewhat doting on you but also doing things that they claim are good for the baby like having u drink their cum or smth idk

With Black Wolf of course comes some dynamics of like ur status in the pack because of being pregnant with their pups or whatever, all the other wolves are probably way more gentle with you and respectful bc they don't wanna get in trouble (also I know BW already has some preg content but I haven't experienced it so I will be writing my own thank u very much)

I know I'm not saying anything new or groundbreaking, but if you think about it, the writers really don't know how to incorporate characters into the narrative unless it is for pointless romantic drama or to be manipulated by Lila.

I'd say the treatment Luka and Kagami got in season 5 is the best example of it.

Kagami got to keep appearing because they used her as, say, a sort of catalyst for Lila's "solo villain" arc. Never mind it made no sense because Kagami had already been akumatised by her actions and was quite literally in Chat Noir's arms when he said she couldn't be trusted back in Oni-chan, or even the fact that after Protection that friendship served no further purpose other than Kagami informing Lila she wasn't invited to the Diamonds Ball because she was a nobody. Because, let's face it, they really didn't need to drag one of the best characters through the mud like that for something that could have been done by either Chloé (by virtue of being Lila's willing accomplice and haughty enough to brag about such a thing) or Gabriel (who at that point was quite done dealing with the brat he himself gave power to in the first place).

And aside from that, she also kept appearing for two reasons: her original, lingering feelings for Adrien and the fact that their parents wanted them to end up together kept feeding the Adrienette drama, and then she got her own share when her character was basically retooled into Félix's girlfriend and willing accomplice.

Compare it to Luka's situation. His only real major role was in Migration because his supportive and mature personality meant he was no longer involved in the romantic aspect of the show, and it would have been even more egregious to have him fall for Lila's lies when he is a living lie detector thanks to his ability to hear people's inner music. Notice how the two have NEVER interacted.

And what happened to him? He was unceremoniously booted for the remainder of the season (except the finale, I guess) despite his very important role of being Ladybug and Chat Noir's secret secret-keeper, which was admittedly a much more compelling angle than "Adrienette: The Star-Crossed Lovers" or "How to Use a Lying 14-Year-Old to Justify Your Terrorist Abusive Father Villain Being Redeemed" routes the season took.

God, this got long.

Legit they had no clue what to do with them and honestly I’m grateful Luka got shipped off to learn magic kung fu in Brazil when the alternative was the huge fucking mess they made with Kagami

If I’d had my way and Adrien was involved with the plot, Kagami (alongside Nino) could’ve served as support for figuring out their parent’s’ evil plans and putting a stop to them. No Lila, no arranged marriage, no Felix, just her and her buds uncovering Evil Secrets.

Similarly, I’d have had Luka (alongside Alya) serve as support for Marinette as she figures out Guardian stuff without the deadbeat daddy drama

Sorry if It's a random question, but do you have any Stella and Octavia related headcanons? The show barely talks about their mother and daughter relationship (because then it would actually be focused on members of Stolas' family that isn't him), but i'd like to hear about them if you have any

So many! For me, a huge part of my enjoyment of Via is the headcanon that she’s autistic like me. And I sometimes consider the idea of her being lesbian just because there are no lesbian characters and it wouldn’t be an oversexualised representation if it’s Octavia. But alas, she has never interacted with any characters who aren’t adults.

I’ve always had the headcanon that when Via is having a nightmare, or scared of monsters under her bed or the like, when Stolas takes his turn to help her he gently consoles her and assures her that he will keep her safe. And he loves showing her magic because it puts stars in her eyes. She goes to bed relaxed, calm, and smiling.

Stella doesn’t have that same approach. Or abilities.

When Stella takes her turn to comfort Via, she peeks under the bed and yells at the ‘monsters’ that they messed with the wrong princess, and her mom will tear them a new one with her bare hands, how dare they take residence under her bed without paying at least a million souls in rent per month!! This gets Via giggling and laughing at her mom, while also feeling safe. Nobody would mess with her when she has a nice dad like Stolas and a tough mom like Stella. I just like the idea of Stella using her anger to make someone feel safe instead of scared for once. And to have a scene mirroring Stolas’ comforting Via, because these are two flawed people who deserve humanisation. I’d really love just one scene of the three of them getting along and having one or two nice memories, even the most abusive families can have one nice memory—that causes them to cling to a broken situation, and it makes the falling out of their family an actually tragic story.

Of course she’s petty enough that her yelling “accidentally” still wakes up stolas because how dare he not get up first! a lady needs her beauty rest! He’d always get lectures from her about how to be chivalrous to a lady, while she herself is saying all of this with her mouth full of messy bonbons.

I also like the idea that Stella pays enough attention to Via to know what she likes to wear, even though her own hyper feminine glamorous look is so deeply different to Octavias low key skater girl gothic look. She buys her punk goth clothes that are actually ridiculously expensive designer label—to which Via says “mom that goes against the very concept of punk!!” To which the imp staff giggle and say ‘ok rich girl’ making Via blush in embarrassment. Via is the type to act like she’s poor, to fit in, and she relates to the angst of punk music made by the working class—but then she pulls out her top of the range 1,000 dollar mobile phone.

It’s no secret that I headcanon Octavia as autistic, mostly cause I’m autistic and see every young girl character labelled with ‘attitude problems’ as autistic. Stella, surprisingly enough, was the one who helped Via get an official diagnosis and therapy items to help cope with meltdowns, stimming, and prevent overstimulation.

She’s mad at Stolas for always taking her to places that are his special interest, but always end up overstimulating Via—like LooLoo Land and the time she ended up in Los Angeles (which of course, Octavia told her mother all about) Via tells her mom everything. I love Fizz/fizzbot but let’s be honest, he is overstimulation itself. Stolas is probably in denial about her being autistic cause he doesn’t really understand what it means and think they just need to negotiate or talk it out. Sometimes he just doesn’t pay attention. While Stella pays too much attention.

An adorable fan animatic by Cinnamon, basically Octavia info dumping to her parents about cartoons and anvils while they try to keep up with her. I headcanon that she’s been nonverbal for a few days leading up to this so now she physically can’t stop talking. Plus it has the adorable butler in it, and it shows the headcanoned relationship I had of Via being the one person in the palace who is nice to him and actually talks to him.

I am sorry but with all the dc x dp prompts and ideas going wild right now and i just have the idea of dcxdp prompt that has been living rent free in my head just now and i need to kick them out.

Basically i saw someone's prompt about Danielle think she killed Danny but no she did not and somehow she transported into new dimension and turn into villain some sort and Danny is trying to find her and all and they have tearful reunion most of all.

Now consider this.

You guys love Short Danny and Tall Danny right. Imma basically write some sort of steven unuverse thing. And no, i am not going to put dc x dp here. This will turn into BNHA X DP crossover because i am a sucker into turning BNHA world into chaos.

Basically Danny's height is forever stunted because of the incident and all those height goes to Dani and Jazz. I love tall jazz. I mean, their dad practically is a giant person around 6'9. Its funny some people headcannon Jazz's height around 6'8-7'0.

Jazzy bear here is a liminal and the same goes to Sam, Tucker and Valerie. Valerie technically could be a halfa you know with all the suit thing. Tucker here is a pharaoh reincarnation. Sam is a witch. I will not elaborate. Funny thing is, all of Danny's friends are practically taller than him when they were still 14. Their height are not that taller than Jazz but stil above 5'8.

His core is not not an ice core, it was misdiagnosed and actually just a core that adapt and mimic others. His core may shift to whatever he feels like or to suit the situation better. When Danny find out about this, he abused that power to always uses the space core that he somehow mimic from an ancient.

Clockwork did not expect it at all. Homey manage to avoid so many visions of the future and only a few others he still could see. Both of them are lil shits. Danny likes to mess with Clockwork's timeline prediction and Clockwork here like to watch and mess with the timeline.

Clockwork is a chaos enabler. You may think he is a responsible person but nahhh. He really isn't. He is a bad influence. No. He did not like to stick with order. That's boring.

He thought that he can get help somewhere and tried to open a gate to where the people who can help him are. The thing is, Danny is in his giant form. The humanoid one. Danielle is so small in his palm.

His daughter is dying and he can't find any help. He needs to find help fast. Danny's form and Danielle were envelope by light and they appeared in Musutafu in the middle of the city.

Mt Lady is there with Kamui Wood and other heroes are alerted. The person in front of them feels powerful. His presence send this weird feelings of shivers down their spine. The thing is, this man, person, boy, whatever he is, is crying and he is cupping something close to his chest.

His eyes are blue. Total blue with no iris and all. Shining. Hauntingly. He was wearing a veil over his head and jewelry decorate his body from head to toe. His clothes are beautiful. His raven locks floating a bit as if there wasn't any gravity.

He is hauntingly beautiful.

The whole city can feel his sadness and desperations. He look and Mt Lady and spoke up. All heroes froze on their spot because the sound that come out from his mouth is not normal human speech. Its something supernatural and hard to describe. Mt Lady tried to communicate with him. He just showed her the thing in his palm.

A child.

A dying child who is melting.

This man needs help for this child.

Must be someone dear to him.

She alerted others of this and they quickly spring into action.

The giant man was wary of them and was about to let out another sound when his form suddenly flickering and dissapearing into dust. Like stardust and he was very alarmed. Danny panic because his form is being send somewhere and he can't bring Danielle with him even if he want to.

Shout and cries of alarm were heard. He quickly pass Danielle to Mt Lady and tell her to take care of his daughter and that he will came back as soon as he can.

They can understand him this time.

Danielle could only watch him go. Danny wasn't able to stable his form in this dimension. He only focus on Danielle that he forgot himself. That is why he can't stay in that universe. Danny is in danger himself and needs to recover because his existence is being ripped again just like that time from his first portal incident. This time, his existence at risk.

He let out another tearful and sorrowful cry reaching out to his daughter before he burst into shiny stardust.

Danielle wail for him. She can't feel him. She can't feel his core. Its like he have been erased.

She was brought to a hospital and they somehow managed to save her. Some hero name Ectoplasma something is the major contributor. She was thankful to be alive but was hit with sorrow and sadness because Danny died. (He is not. Just somewhere no one knows. Recovering)

The hero department thing try to get their gands on her but Mt Lady did not allow them. She feels responsible of her. That giant man entrusted this child to her so she will fullfill his wish damnit.

Dani, now Ellie, entered UA and into hero course. She meets all sorts of unique people and was very frustrated as well as irritated with Bakugo Katsuki.

Majority of the time when those two meet up, they will always end up in a fight. Danielle win 80% of the fights. She likes Kaminari and was suspicious of Aoyama. Iida annoyed her.

Midoriya is pretty cool but sometimes he creeps her out. She did not like All Might at all.

Somehow she managed to bring Shigaraki Tomura home and hid him like a secret pet of some kind. Ya know, he is like that will spicy cat except his claws is deadly. She just decided Tomura is now her brother and now taking care of him.

Tomura was confused.

Ellie is Gaslighting, Girlkeep and Gateboss -ing her ways to Tomura's heart. She claim herself as his new big sister. Technically she is older but she looks like a 16 years old teenage girl. She is taller than average.

She is actually taller than Tomura.

The USJ incident still happened even without Tomura. That time, Ellie is battling the Nomu by herself.

Her original may be a powerful being but she is not a perfect clone. Plus, this dimension did not have the required ectoplasm to help her recover her energy and sate her needs. She needs help fast.

Its becoming frustrating and she was reminded of her daddy. Danny. Her original and father figure. She misses him. Some of her classmates notices that she is crying.

Distracted, she was punch by Nomu, hard and landed onto the floor.

"Daddy.." She whimpers.

A few of them heard her.

She missed Danny so hard. Its been a long time since she last seen and felt him. She wants to be in his arms again and held.

Danny let AllMight deal with the Nomu while he bring the others to safety. She was whisked away from the battlefield to be healed by him. This time, his powers work on her and both of them are very happy. All of her classmates looked at her father is awe and admiration as he healed some of her classmates wounds as well as Aizawa-sensei's wounds.

He only managed halfway healing Aizawa before he begin to feel lightheaded. Its weird. Usually he have no problems healing more than eight people with serious injuries. It must be something entirely new. Maybe about the ectoplasm problem?

She do know that Danny have some setbacks and chronic pain as well as illness from his incident. Maybe another set from all those years back then. Maybe it have something to do with it?

She stopped him from trying to heal Aizawa more and both she and her teacher reason with him that the medical team will take care of the rest.

Their reunion is tearful. Mt Lady is alerted about Danny's presence. He thanked her for taking care of his daughter. Mt Lady was flustered.

Ellie however notices something is wrong with her father. He looks rather sickly right now. She begged Danny to let go of this form and return to his normal form. She is rather focused on Danny that she did not notice her classmates are paying attention on them.

Danny was hesistant but he can't say no to his daughter puppy eyes. His form begin to change and he became smaller and turn into his 14 years old safe.

Everyone was gaping and Ellie was squealing. Another thing happened and now in Ellie's place is a kid. A twelve years old kid. She was hugging the now 14 years old teenage boy (man) and blabbering happily to him.

Aizawa gain another headache that day.

I think he loves engaging and messing around with you. Helps you hone your powers and what not all while having fun or playing games to make it a positive learning experience

If you’re ever feeling bad about not being related to him by blood, he is very good at comforting you.

He reassures you that no matter where you come from, he’s happy he gets to raise you and watch you grow up, and he is proud to call you his child.

If anyone makes comments about it while you two are in public you might have to hold him back because he WILL fight them

Macaque

Was most likely scouting stuff in the city when he found you. He felt terrible that someone would abandon a baby so he took it upon himself to raise you, even if he’s a little underprepared

Super protective. He’s constantly worried something will happen to you but there are rare occasions where he’s calm

Spends a lot of time reaching out to his fellow demons about figuring out how best to take care of you. He knows you’re not a monkey like him so that logic is out the window mostly.

If anything ever happens that may be dangerous, he will stop everything, ask if you’re alright, and then go get rid of the danger. After that it’s time for first aid and a warm meal.

Knows how it feels to be different from your family(he was probably one of the only demon monkeys on FFM) and reassures you very often that he’s your dad and loves you as such.

His favorite thing to do with you is read or tell stories. Often he starts them off by saying “you won’t see this one in the history books!” And it makes you laugh almost every time

Other demons he knows will know about you and so he basically has a backup team in case anything happens to him. Very paranoid about all that

Pigsy

Idk how he would come across you, but I could definitely see him legit adopting a kid. MK is surprised but excited to have a kind of sibling!!

He’s got the dad business down to a science. I think he goes with his gut on almost everything and it works out in the end.

You’re probably brought up the most normally out of the whole lineup of these characters. He gets you in school, you’ve got your own room in his house, and you help out in the shop.

He takes every situation as it comes. A little strict, but overall he just wants you to be happy, healthy, and safe.

He has you taste test new recipes when he cooks and he also loves when you help him cook in general

The one thing he’s not entirely sure of is how to comfort you if you have doubts or bad feelings about not “really” being related to him.

All he can really do is affirm that hey, he raised you and he loves you more than anything—more than noodles!—and that he’s there for you whenever you need him.

Sandy

Would definitely adopt a kid through the system. But if he found a baby on the street he’d probably go that route too!

He def reads up on parenting books for the basics, and then has to improvise the rest since demon kids are built a little differently from human kids

Gentle parenting at its finest. Has a small set of easy rules and deals with each thing accordingly—no yelling from him at all though!

You’re taught how to be gentle and take care of other living things by growing up around his therapy cats! And they love you anyways because, well, they’re cats

He takes you on a fun adventure or outing whenever he gets the chance. He wants you to see and experience the world, not be cooped up in one place.

Because he’s so good at helping others with their emotions, he walks you through and comforts you when you’re feeling inadequate in terms of blood relations.

Cheers you up, gets you some of your favorite tea, and assures you that he loves you and cares about you.

DBK

By far the most knowledgeable about raising demon babies. He himself is hesitant at first but Princess Iron Fan convinces him to take you in.

They’re prepared for all your powers and what not, so honestly it’s smooth sailing for them

DBK is a little harsh sometimes but he is doing his best to be there for you!

He thinks that because you’re part of this family, you deserve to be treated like they are; royalty! You get pretty much anything you ask for :0

I think he would carry Redson and you around a lot. No idea why but maybe it’s a comfort thing. It’s just this towering Bull figure, very menacing, but on his shoulders are his over dramatic son and adoptive daughter

(He goes about his business but the fun part is you and Redson just having conversations over him. And he chimes in too sometimes. I can’t get this pic out of my head it’s so cute and funny)

Anyways he’s better at reassurance through action rather than through words. He can tell when you’re down, whether it’s because you feel different or if you’re just having a bad day. So he brings you your favorite meal and a warm blanket, lets you know he’ll be in the kitchen, and gives you your space.

Might be a bit sick but in retrospect, Skulduggery telling Omen he had “disagreements” with his father (or did he say this to Valkyrie? Don’t care not checking) is the most understated hilarious possible fucking way of describing “oh my dad fucking murdered my mother and turned half my siblings pure evil and we had to give him a kicking like the bomb gave hiroshima and chain him up in a magic coffin and jail him in an alternate dimension as an exchange prisoner with a tyrannical god-king because he was too powerful to even consider killing”

In his defence, this is one of the few times where Skug is actually incredibly diplomatic. There’s a few reasons for this:

1. The obvious one: Omen is a kid. More than that, Omen is a lame kid, whose entire life experience at that point is Being Fat, Being Lame, and Sitting In Maths Class. He would have no point of reference for how to react to something as viscerally horrifying as my father murdered my mother. That would be a wildly age-inappropriate story for Skug to tell him - so much so that even Skug knows it. 

2. The other obvious one: all the Abrogate bullshit would be a very painful, very personal, very old wound for Skug. No way in hell would he want to open it for the benefit of this boy he barely knows. Yes, he’s prone to dropping inappropriate stories out of nowhere, but most of the time it’s because they’re either relevant to what’s happening around them, or he doesn’t realise they’re inappropriate, because he’s messed up, and his upbringing was messed up, and his concept of what’s normal is decidedly skewed as a result. 

And 3. The one I think actually occurred to him at the time: Omen is a child with an abusive home and parents who have a hardcore golden child/scapegoat dynamic. Omen is a child who has spent his entire life being overshadowed by and negatively compared to whatshisface, the brother. And in this moment, Omen is a child who is - tentatively - reaching out to someone he sees as a Safe Adult. He’s testing the water to see how Skug reacts to a relatively minor disclosure, because he - Omen - isn’t sure whether he really is just disappointing and useless, or whether he’s justified in feeling neglected and badly treated. 

Skug also came from an abusive home, was also the family scapegoat, and at some point probably dropped the same kind of hints to Ghastly’s parents. He would know how important it is that he react correctly, because it would be so easy at this point to make Omen feel like he can’t open up to anyone about his home life again. 

And “Yeah, well, my father murdered my mother, we’ve all got problems,” would be a spectacular way to make sure he never brings up his family issues again. It would be overshadowing his pain, putting him in the same position he’s been pushed into by his parents all his life. It would be saying your suffering doesn’t matter because I had it worse. 

And Skug is a lot of bad things, but he’s not deliberately cruel to people who don’t deserve it. He’s kind to Peg Muldoon, he’s kind to Scaramouche van Dreg, he’s kind to Scapegrace - all people who could have reasonably been handled with violence or cruelty. So he’s absolutely not going to choose nastiness with this boy. 

He says: I liked my mother. I think I might have even loved my mother. I had disagreements with my father. In the same conversation, he tells Omen that parents should love their children, and that it’s not Omen’s fault that his don’t. 

That’s. A very carefully-worded way of putting it. He’s chosen words that will seem, to Omen, to mimic his own situation. He’s saying I understand what you’re trying to tell me. He’s saying I see how they treat you and I don’t approve. He’s validating what Omen has been through as the scapegoat child, and telling him it’s not okay. He’s giving Omen an ally - an adult who sees the Darkly parents’ behaviour, isn’t okay with it, and isn’t afraid of them. Basically, he’s trying to give Omen the kind of support that Ghastly’s parents probably once gave him when he was in Omen’s position. 

And for that, Omen doesn’t need to know how much worse Skug had it. He just needs to know that a) Skug survived it, and b) someone he has a lot of respect for has confirmed that the way his parents treat him is Not Okay. It’s really quite a startling amount of tact and empathy for someone who is so, so damaged, and this is probably the closest we get to seeing how he likely behaved with his own child. 

(It is a hilarious understatement, though. Good job, buddy.)

Okay so I'm still thinking about the starfolk and human ocs that I want to make, so have some more information/ ideas for them:

Putting this under a cut because this is LONG

Starfolk oc is a light "hunteress"-type starfolk (@mystic-131 I hope it's okay to use your terminology for starfolk types-) who has been sealed off in a specific artifact due to accidentally killing a fellow light starfolk.

Said artifact might be their weapon (Most likely either an axe or a scythe) or a necklace. It's pretty lonely being stuck inside a (Literal, in all sense of the word) liminal space, that's basically a void with a little window where you can see outside of your prison.

Yeah, it messed the poor thing up badly. They suffer from FOMO a LOT, as well as feeling pretty helpless watching the outside world, especially when they really, REALLY wish to help anything that caught their attention.

Starfolk oc meets the human oc due to... said human accidentally coming across their prison during a yard sale (Or any other thing of that sort) and deciding to get the artifact because it looks neat... or they found it lying around in a wooded area. But the former idea is much funnier in my opinion.

Cue to Human oc blanking out because of starfolk oc trying to contact them because they're so excited to finally be noticed after a long, LONG time of being stuck all alone... but it turns out that the Human can also feel their emotions, and it can be very, VERY overwhelming for said person at times-

So, Human oc gets (mentally) thrown into Starfolk oc's void-prison thing, and starfolk oc manages to coax them into offering a hand to breaking the curse. Basically they realised that their situation is surprisingly similar, so starfolk oc offers to stay with them, while human oc offers to help break the curse in return.

Now onto the human oc! She was unfortunately abused by her parents, and ended up running away from them during her early teens. She managed to make a living out of selling things she created by hand, like embroidery and stuff. She's self-taught.

Also DW, said oc ended up getting a new home... but she has been tossed between several Foster parents due to her trauma and stuff being a bit too much for some of them, so she didn't get to fully experience a "normal" childhood in a sense.

Basically, she learnt to live all on her own, but still suffers from the effects of her trauma and lack of socialisation.

As mentioned above, she found starfolk oc in a yard sale. Basically she was getting things to decorate her new home (After hunting down an apartment complex for stars-alone-knows-how-long) and thought the artifact would make for a pretty neat wall mount (Thinking about making starfolk oc's prison a scythe)

So she did ended up accepting the starfolk's offer because... she thought that she couldn't help people since there's so much rules regarding interaction, but this being seems nice so why not help them?

Also she was just in shock during the entire ordeal so she just accepted the offer without hesitation, since she wanted to be helpful for once.

Turns out, the artifact gives her the ability to use light starfolk magic and attacks, as well as understanding and speaking in sonar.

Interestingly, the artifact (Or possibly even the starfolk magic itself) seems to be slowly turning her into a light starfolk the more she uses light magic and attacks.

It was pretty gradual, initially being a weirdly pale look to her skin, but ended up progressing to becoming more like a starfolk's skin, white and almost porcelain or glass-like. She also gets extra nonhuman traits as well, namely ear-wings and two pairs of small wings on her back, as well as some feathers too.

Initially, she was a bit freaked out by this (Same applies to starfolk oc), but she just kinds of accept it and now actually really like it. If people don't like her, then maybe being similar to her newfound friend might be a better option.

In a sense, both of them help each other heal from their traumas, becoming stronger and happier with themselves, even if the changes may be difficult or even painful to deal with.
