“I am no longer my own, but thine. Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt. Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for thee or brought low for thee. Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and blessed God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it. And the covenant which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.”
John Wesley's Covenant Prayer, used throughout the Methodist churches, especially at the start of a new year.

As ABC News reports, Tennessee Republicans are in full blown thoughts and prayers mode. It doesn’t get more stereotypically Republican than this.
Nashville school shooting updates: Governor says now's not time to talk legislation
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has called for prayers in the wake of Monday's deadly mass shooting at a Nashville elementary school, while noting that "there will be a time to talk about the legislation."
"I am calling on the people of Tennessee to pray. For the families of victims, for the Covenant family, for those courageous officers, for the family of the shooter, for those who are hurting and angry and confused," Lee, a Republican, said in a video address on Tuesday evening. "Prayer is the first thing we should do, but it's not the only thing."
GOP Gov. Lee says that prayer is “not the only thing”. The other thing of course is quietly reminding the NRA that Tennessee Republicans are sticking up for AR-15s at the expense of Tennessee schoolchildren.
NPR describes how Tennessee GOP gun culture helped the Covenant School shooter obtain a small arsenal.
How the Nashville shooter was able to legally buy 7 guns
In the case of the Nashville shooting, police say the perpetrator was being treated for a mental health disorder, yet bought seven guns, including assault-style rifles, legally. Police say the shooter's parents thought their child should not have access, but Tennessee does not have a law to request guns are removed temporarily, commonly known as a red flag law. Democratic lawmakers have introduced that in the past, but Republicans didn't pass it.
The gerrymandered heavily GOP Tennessee legislature is where gun safety legislation goes to die – figuratively shot full of holes with assault rifles.
Republicans around the US in recent years have blamed mass shootings on mental illness. But when they had a chance to do something about guns and mental illness in Tennessee, they consciously chose to do nothing.
For the GOP, action is never an option. Instead of making schools safer, they will fixate on far right culture war issues to juice up their gradually declining base.

Nashville Private School Shooting
I just wanted to put this on here in light of the tragic events that took place in my home city. I love my community with all my heart and to find out about the shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville this morning just broke my heart. My school, CPA and the Covenant are sister schools. Typically when you finish sixth grade at the Covenant (the school only has preschool through sixth) you go seventh through senior year at CPA. Many many of my good friends had younger siblings who went there or kids they babysat there etc. Thankfully none that I knew were fatally injured or wounded. However two of the adults that were killed in this shooting did have an impact on my school as well. Katherine Koonce was an amazing woman that lead many discussions and meetings on helping parents with parenting and child growth and development. She left a few years ago and became the Head Master/Mistress of the Covenant and was shot and killed today. I pray over anyone and everyone in the community - especially those who are friends or families of the three children and three adults killed this morning. Gun violence is now the number one most common death among children in the USA at this time and it is just disgusting. I pray over all the children who went to the Covenant school today and the children who found out during their lockdowns at other schools. If you’re seeing this post, please keep these sweet young children and these wonderful, hardworking adults in your hearts. If you are a believer, I deeply encourage you to pray over these people and their families.
Violence such as this is despicable and it has GOT to stop. Todays shooting is the 19th mass shooting at a school this year and IT IS ONLY FUCKING MARCH. The number for mass shootings this year in general are already over a hundred. People should be able to send their children to school and fully EXPECT that their kid or kids will come home safe and healthy. We MUST do better as a nation.
Thank you for taking the time to read over this. Thank you for taking the time to think over todays events and keeping these innocent people among your hearts.

David’s Wish to Build a House for God
1 While King David was living in his house, the Lord gave him peace with all his enemies around him. 2 So the king said to the prophet Nathan, “Look, I’m living in a house made of cedar, while the ark of God remains in the tent.”
3 Nathan told the king, “Do everything you have in mind, because the Lord is with you.”
4 But that same night the Lord spoke his word to Nathan: 5 “Say to my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord says: Are you the one who will build me a house to live in? 6 I haven’t lived in a house from the day I took Israel out of Egypt to this day. Instead, I moved around in a tent, the tent ⌞of meeting. 7 In all the places I’ve moved with all the Israelites, did I ever ask any of the judges  of Israel whom I ordered to be shepherds of my people Israel why they didn’t build me a house of cedar?’
8 “Now this is what you will say to my servant David: ‘This is what the Lord of Armies says: I took you from the pasture where you followed sheep so that you could be the leader of my people Israel. 9 I was with you wherever you went, and I destroyed all your enemies in front of you. I will make your name famous like the names of the greatest people on earth. 10 I will make a place for my people Israel and plant them there. They will live in their own place and not be troubled anymore. The wicked will no longer oppress them as they used to do 11 ever since I appointed judges to rule my people Israel. So I will give you peace with all your enemies. I, the Lord, tell you that I will make a house for you.
12 “ ‘When the time comes for you to lie down in death with your ancestors, I will send one of your descendants, ⌞one⌟ who will come from you. I will establish his kingdom. 13 He will build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his Father, and he will be my Son. If he sins, I will punish him with a rod and with blows inflicted by people. 15 But I will never stop showing him my love as I did to Saul, whom I took out of your way. 16 Your royal house will remain in my presence  forever. Your throne will be established forever.’ ”
17 Nathan told David all these words and everything he had seen.
18 King David went into the tent and sat in front of the Lord. “Who am I, Almighty Lord,” he asked, “and why is my house so important that you have brought me this far? 19 And even this you consider to be a small act, Almighty Lord. You’ve also spoken about the distant future of my house. Almighty Lord, this is the teaching about the man.
20 “What more can I, David, say to you, Almighty Lord, since you know me so well! 21 You’ve done this great thing because of your promise and your own desire. You made it known to me.
22 “That is why you are great, Lord God. There is no one like you, and there is no other god except you, as we have heard with our own ears. 23 Who is like your people Israel? It is the one nation on earth that God came to free in order to make its people his own, to make his name known, and to do great and wonderful things for them. You forced  nations and their gods out of the way of your people, whom you freed from Egypt to be your own. 24 You created the people of Israel to be your people forever. And you, Lord, became their God.
25 “Now, Lord God, keep the promise you made to me and my house forever. Do as you promised. 26 Your name will be respected forever when ⌞people⌟ say, ‘The Lord of Armies is God over Israel.’ And the house of your servant David will be established in your presence. 27 You, Lord of Armies, God of Israel, have revealed it especially to me, saying, ‘I will build a house for you.’ That is why I have found the courage to offer this prayer to you.
28 “Almighty Lord, you are God, and your words are trustworthy. You promised me this good thing. 29 Now, please bless my house so that it may continue in your presence forever. Indeed, you, Almighty Lord, have promised it. With your blessing my house will be blessed forever.” — 2 Samuel 7 | God's Word Translation (GWT) The Holy Bible, God’s Word Translation Copyright 1995 by God’s Word to the Nations. As we have some few hours left in this powerful wolf moon, I thought I provide you with a nice little prayer 🙏
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Under the moon's enchanting light, I seek the guidance of the night.
With familiars by my side, black cat and crow, let their wisdom and magic in me grow.
Grant me strength, wisdom, and clarity, as we weave our spell in sacred unity.
Moon above, familiars near, bless this moment, calm any fear.
As shadows dance in the moonlit glen, let our magic thrive and begin again.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
As many witches have their familiars or a strong bond to nature I chose a prayer with black cats and crows.
Also are these wonderful creatures connected to some dark goddesses like Lilith or the Morrigan .

In the morning will you hear my voice, Psalms Chapter 89
In the morning will you hear my voice, Psalms Chapter 89
Psalms 89:20 I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him, 21so that my hand shall be established with him; my arm also shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not outwit him; the wicked shall not humble him. 23 I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him. This shooting happened in Tennessee where governing Republicans consider drag queen story hours a greater threat to kids than nuts with arsenals of guns.
The attack took place at The Covenant School, a private Christian school for students aged three to 11.
The three pupils who died were all aged nine.
Police said the suspect gained entry by shooting through a door at the school. A search of their home led to officers seizing more firearms.
The victims get the traditional GOP-NRA “thoughts and prayers” while gun nuts in Tennessee get more guns.
The shooter was armed with three guns, including a semi-automatic rifle, and was shot dead by police.
[ ... ]
The mother of one pupil said her son had been left traumatised. "I think he's doing better now that he knows that the shooter is dead," Shaundelle Brooks told BBC News.
"These are conversations we shouldn't be having," she added. "We're failing our children."
No kidding.
We can hardly wait for Ted Cruz’s critique of the floor plan of the school in this tragedy.

“Sons and daughters
Sisters and brothers
Can we take a moment to stand with each other?
Can we join hands and find our peace?
From the north, west, south and east
Close your eyes and inhale a breath
Once through your stomach and once the chest
Now feel the air around your skin
Feel the energy ignite within
Feel your feet upon the ground
Open your eyes and look around
There is love here and protection
No need to fake any perfection
Let go and touch hands to your heart
And now this night can truly start.”
-The opening group grounding “incantation” from my former group at Maia and Aether’s. It was used about 20 or so minutes after everyone’s arrival, as it was important to me to give time for everyone to settle and nerves so lessen. 💚
It may sound oh so serious but, once the ritual or discussion(or whatever the meeting is for) was done, there was food, drinks, dancing, laughter and blessings for the rest of the night.
