WHITE ROSE I've heard, 'The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance'. True! But today I've seen it's more about outward appearance, its more about how beautiful something appears to something eye. For me Art is about giving that perfect bliss to the viewers eye. When I started making this art peice I had something different in mind but as I started painting the base I made a mistake and ended up merging the pencil traces with the base paint so i had to change the background to a single color. As I advanced with the artwork I realized the image to stand out on the single color will have to be detailed and vibrant. It took me months to complete this peice as I kept on adding minute details here and there. As I was not a frequent user of oil paints, it took me time to study the requirement of my art peice. Also I was switching between different mediums and art peices so I was falling short on the techniques or mediums or sometimes I was using the wrong brushes to finish up. The switch between acrylic and oil or oil and watercolor ended up consuming more of my time in completion of any one of my artworks.
