Danny would be pouting, but this? This is actually kind of hilarious. He’d be laughing his ass off if he could, but allows himself to shriek excitedly around the binky in his mouth. Jordan on the other hand has no such thing stopping him, letting out his own toddler cackle as something bursts into flames.

Their current caretaker- Clockwork’s nephew apparently, who is on babysitting duty for the next couple of decades- coos, and then they’re off again. Someone had apparently wanted their sort-of-Fraid-member to go to a meeting despite him informing them he’d be unavailable.

So of course he- and the three of them and Ms. Teekl the cat- just had to set the whole place on fire. You honestly can’t be that rude! It’s like, not exactly maternity leave, but something similar- don’t make fun of him he’s stuck with a toddler-brain right now!

(All three of them would’ve had completely toddler minds if not for the fact that they were partially made from ectoplasm)

Really, it was perfectly normal for them to set the building aflame and disappear into another dimension, even if maybe not for humans. Everyone knew you didn’t try to mess with a nesting Realms being! Especially if they weren’t fully Fraid yet. Honestly it’s all the idiots’ fault.

It’s been some time and Dustin and Steve go to see Wayne. Maybe he is moving out of Hawkins and they go to help with packing or maybe they just wanna check on him and he is reminiscing Eddie. Either way he has punch of old photos out. School photos, birthdays, first concerts, various different types from different ages.

One photo really catches Steve’s eye tho. It’s a group photo from the early 70s, taken in the summer. Steve asks Wayne “Why do you have this?”, seemingly little shocked and bewildered by the photo. Wayne looks at the photo and smiles telling it was taken in a summer camp Eddie once went. “That’s my boy” Wayne tells pointing one kid among the others. Dustin also looks at the photo and smiles. It seems like a good and happy memory.

So Wayne and Dustin get little puzzled when they hear choked sob coming from Steve. He is trying to hold it together but not really succeeding, his hands in his hair pulling so hard it can’t be comfortable. Just walking away from them now, fighting the tears. Rather weird and strong reaction for a mere summer camp photo, especially coming from Steve… Till you take a little closer look at the photo.

Because yes, with his buzz cut hair and thousand watt smile there’s little Eddie. Little Eddie who has his arm over another kid’s shoulder, pulling closer a little boy with a sweet smile, chestnut hair and tiny moles dotted on his face.

A clockwork apprentice Danny that has to fake Jason’s death because he accidentally meddled in the event leading up to it and now he has to act fast because he literally can hear Batman’s running steps catching up to him so in spectacular fashion Danny panics, goes “shit shit shit” and puts Jason in the ghost version of a coma but like expert level pumps him up with so much ectoplasm the kid legit dies for a hot minute there.

…It makes Batman think his kid really is dead like he is supposed to so not all is bad, the timeline is back on track.

It’s just that now Danny can’t leave Jason to be be buried in the ground like he was meant to be originally, instead he waits until no one is looking to snatch the kid up and take him with him to the infinite realms.

Jason is legit convinced he was kidnapped.

Jason: who are you and why did you kidnap me???

Danny: what— kid I didn’t kidnapped you, I saved you

Jason: likely story

Danny: really kid I’m not kidding this is not a kidnapping

Jason: well then can I go home

Danny:

Danny: no

Jason: fucking figures

…

Danny: in my defense when I found you you were already kidnapped

Here is a piece for the lovely @okiroash! They asked for Yomiel taking the role of a dad/uncle to cat!Sissel or Kamila…and I decided why not both?

I figure that regardless who Jowd and Alma get to babysit, sweet little Kamila will rope them into helping her build her very important Rube Goldberg gift giving machines. Yomiel is no exception, especially with his own knowledge of systems and technology, so it only would take a couple of ‘pretty pleases’ and MAYBE a little goading from cat!sissel, and suddenly Yoms is on a wobbly stool setting bowling pins up on the overhead fan XD This is what you get for being a tall boi, Yoms.

Considering the gift behind them I’m going to say this particular set up is going to be a Christmas surprise for someone, most likely Lynne! Just…watch where you aim that cherub….

Have I talked yet about how important it is to me that Crosshair is queer-coded?

Have I talked about how it doesn’t quite make sense why the character who’s consistently stuck to his family like glue and shown absolute disdain for anyone and everyone outside of his squad is the only one to make the conscious decision to leave them and follow Anakin alone on Skako Minor unless there’s some deeper kind of attraction going on here? Have I talked about how his natural dramatic streak seems to intensify whenever Anakin’s around? How he, who we can assume guards his equipment like it’s treasure, seems so willing to let the Jedi hold it? Almost like he’s deliberately trying to impress him?

What about how it’s canon that Sister was afraid of how she’d be received by the wider galaxy? Or how important the theme of feeling othered and hate being fostered as a result between groups of people that really aren’t so different is to the Bad Batch? And how Crosshair is by far the biggest example of that? Do I really need to elaborate on the implications of their Kaminoan purity-and-perfection-obsessed creators that live in a city associated with blinding white and treat any nonconformity/diversity as defectiveness?
