Bound | Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Word Count: 3.3K Warnings: graphic depictions of death, implied/referenced SA
Summary: Rosalie always carried the resentment of not being able to fulfill the image of the perfect family she had in her head. But the universe had set out to grant her everything she could've hoped for in the most unconventional way and in the form of a witch. Can their love withstand the promise of forever or will Rosalie and (Y/N) succumb to the grapples of time?
A/N: tried my best to write the pain and turmoil Rosalie might have felt during such a horrendous moment. I feel like her backstory is so overlooked in the story and, for me, it's one of the most tragic. I hope I do her justice with this and the coming chapters. Also, I want to say to any and all survivors of SA that you are not alone and what happened to you is not your fault, it never will be. I hope you have healed or are healing. And if you ever just need an ear to listen, I am here. 🤍

Rosalie Hale should have been protected. That much she knew to be true. She should have been able to revel in a perfect life. A perfect house, perfect children, a perfect husband, all complements to her being a perfect wife.
Everything should have been perfect because she already was.
But there was something about a perfect thing that she did not know until it was too late. Whenever it was scrutinized, the cracks started to appear. The paint that was used to make everything seamless was bulky and uneven. Nothing was perfect. Nothing could even come close.
Still, it had been far too late to see all the flaws of what was supposed to be her perfect life.
Everything had happened to her so quickly. Her courtship to Royce King the Second, to their engagement, to the date of the wedding. It was the thing of fairytales. Or at least, that was what she had thought –what she had been raised to believe. The perfect prince to the beautiful princess.
His façade was impeccable. He did the right things, said the right things; he played the part well. Too well. It made it easy for Royce to hide his faults. Because they didn’t exist to the naked eye. His lingering eye was only witnessed by the women he would make uncomfortable, but they would never speak of it. His drunkenness was reserved for the late hours of the night, in the company of his closest friends. His blatant disregard for Rosalie was only spoken of in whispers, spilling into the ears of his most trusted confidantes. He did not have to worry about anyone else knowing just how execrable he actually was.
The fact that he was marrying the Rosalie Hale was enough to allow his behavior. She was a testament to the fact that he could have anything he wanted without having to work too hard at it. All it took to reel her in were a few words and flowers, some public outings and he had her trapped in his spell.
At that point, she didn’t know it. That the love he seemed to have for her was only his part to play. How could she? Royce King was her ticket to everything she had ever worked toward. He was the trophy for the part she had to play. It didn’t matter that she was not in love with him, she loved everything he could give her. She didn’t mind feeling like an empty shell of a human if it looked like she had everything. She knew it was vain and shallow, but it was what she had been molded to be.
What she never thought was that the same person she believed would grant her every dream would be the very reason it was taken away. Ripped and taken from her without another thought.
The day had started well enough for her. With her wedding only a week away, her head could only be preoccupied with the final details of the event and everything that would come after. Even as she spent the night with Vera, her best friend, watching as her husband loved her and her son grew beautifully, Rosalie could only think of when it would be her own child reaching their arms up to be carried. She would have the life she wanted because that was what she was promised.
But the night was harsh and unforgiving. In hindsight, she would have taken that as a warning. The cold truth was slapping her in the face long before real hands had. When she was yelled at by Royce on the empty street, she should have turned around. She should have listened to the trembling in her limbs as he treated her as nothing more than a prize he had won. She should have ran and kept running.
But his grasp around her was tight, bruising. He grabbed her like she was his possession, as though her body had never belonged to her. And he wanted to show her off because she did, she belonged to him.
She remembered trying to fight. Whatever happened next, she could hold on to the fact that she had tried to fight. Even if it had been to no avail. No amount of strength could have been enough to protect her, at least not of any she knew.
Then, she remembered how frozen she had felt. Not because of the cold in the weather, but because her limbs had gone stiff. Royce and his friend were drinking in her pain, rejoicing in her screams. She couldn’t give them that. So, she froze. Rosalie allowed them to take everything from her but the fact that she was in so much pain.
They took her clothes, they took her will, they took her beauty, they took her body. They took and took until there was nothing left to give. They even believed they had taken her life. But something inside her was holding on. Something she cried would just let it all end. There was nothing left for her to hold on to, Rosalie just wanted the nightmare to end since her dream definitely had.
Rosalie could have sworn that she had spent hours on that dimly lit street begging for death to take her in its arms and whisk her away. She didn’t want to be cold, she didn’t want to be in pain. She no longer wanted to be. All she could do was wait until it all stopped.
Instead of the impending doom of death, she had been carried away by someone she couldn’t identify at first. At first, she believed it was the Angel of Death crossing her to the afterlife. The speed at which they were traveling felt as much. But soon she was being laid on a bed, where she was bitten on every inch of her body and it made her wish she was back to the pain from before. At least that was bearable until death came. This kind of ache ran across her entire body, freezing her veins and adjusting every fiber of her being. It was overwhelming enough that she could smell… sage? Maybe even moringa and rosemary. Possibly even a hint of ginger.
Rosalie wanted to laugh at that realization, not that her body allowed her to. She wanted to chuckle at the mere fact that her brain had decided to trick her with the smells of herbs as she went through the worst agony of her life. But she had to admit, it had eased her slightly. And she wished she had perceived those very smells until the change happened.
She also wished for the longest time that Carlisle had never saved her. What he did felt more like pity rather than a moment of salvation –she did not want to be saved. When he took her in his arms she wasn’t thankful, she was tired. If she’d had the ability to speak, she would have begged him to end it. Rosalie would have used every last breath she had to beacon death quicker than it was coming.
Instead, he saved her in the worst way possible. He submitted her to a life where she would never have anything she desired. She would have her beauty, and she would have a sort of family, but she would never have something that was truly hers.  But nothing that was hers. Nothing that was just hers.
At least there was one thing that the imposed immortality had brought her. She was strong. Stronger than all those men the night before. She could feel it. The solidness of her skin, the strain in her muscles, the itching in her limbs for speed. It was supernatural strength. An unlimited source of unimaginable power.
A vampire. That was what they had told her she was now and she knew it was the truth. The burning in her throat yearned for only one thing and none of the people in the room she had woken in had it running through their veins. She craved the crimson liquid as though it was the sweetest nectar in the world and it was the only thing to satiate the deep void in her stomach.
But that hunger was nothing compared to the appetite she had for revenge. For the craving she had developed to have the same men that had made her tremble in her sacred body to quiver in theirs. She wanted them to beg her for their lives, to know what it feels for their lives to be in the hands of someone that could not give two shits about them. She wanted them to plead until their voices were hoarse. Until they were so scared that she could hear their skeletons rattle inside their bodies. She wanted them to pray to their god for their lives and then she would take them with her own hands. Her eyes would watch as their souls left their bodies, a sickeningly sweet smile on her face.
She could have answered Carlisle Cullen at that moment. When he had asked her if she wanted to join their family, she knew the answer was yes. Not because they were the perfect choice, but because it was the only one she had. Rosalie didn’t want to be alone and the Cullens were offering her companionship. She would say yes, eventually. First, she had something to do. So, she asked them for a couple of days to set her head in order.
Rosalie waited until the sun had set and dressed up for the occasion. She styled herself in perfect curls and demure makeup. She was dressed in tailored clothes and high heels. At the end of the day, she was still Rosalie Hale and those men would know exactly who it was that would take their lives.
The first two were easy to find. Buck and Andre Hubert, brothers that still lived under the same roof. With her newfound strength and speed, she slipped into their house without making a single sound. One thing she knew was every party and social appearance the rich people of Rochester, New York had to attend. She knew who would be where and when. And it just so happened that Mr. and Mrs. Hubert would be out all night.
She wanted to go play with their minds first. Start building that nest of fear deep in their chest as they had done to her. To laugh as they questioned if they were losing their minds.
The brothers were in the drawing room. Maybe reading, maybe drinking. Definitely drinking. It made her smile. Her legs took her to the table in their foyer, slamming a vase she had admired for years against the wall.
“Who goes there?” Buck called out from the room to be met with the crackling of the fireplace in response. “I’ll let you know that I have a gun.”
Rosalie remained quiet, instead making noise by slamming a framed picture of the brothers to the floor. She stared as the frame splintered around her and the glass bounced off her impenetrable skin. Bring your gun, she wanted to say, there’s nothing you can do to hurt me now.
But she kept her silence. She wanted to draw both of them out, not just their guns. Their bodies would be the first warming call to the other three men. So, she broke more things, until the room was filled with splintered wood, glass, and roses. How she detested roses now.
“What the fuck is going on, Buck?” Andre said, his voice shaking slightly. “Who’s there?”
“I don’t know, man,” he sighed in frustration. “I’ll go check.”
No. It had to be both of them. She called out, “Why don’t you both come to check?”
“No way,” she heard one of them whisper, not really caring which one.
They walked out slowly, each sporting a rifle in their arms. They stood tall, their eyes trained on hers, trying to appear courageous. But she knew they weren’t. She could hear their hearts racing, she could see the beads of sweat forming on their forehead, she could smell their desperation.
“Rosalie Hale,” Buck said. “What are you doing here?”
“Surprised to see me, boys?” She smiled sweetly and she could see the way it made them shiver. “I just thought I would pay you a visit after last night. You left without so much as a goodbye.”
“No, but you… you were…” Andre stammered. He was so young and it showed. His brother towered over him and he was shaking in inexperience.
“What’s wrong, Andre?” she feigned worry. She had also been so young and they had not cared. “You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
“You died last night,” Buck interjected in big brother fashion. “We left you on the street and you were dead.”
“Correct!” Rosalie clapped in fake excitement. “You did leave me on the street, but I wasn’t dead. No. I suffered for hours waiting to die. But alas, death arrived in a different way.”
She took steps toward them, closing the distance of the large entryway. Her movement made Buck fire his gun, the bullet flying right by her ear. It was so close she could hear the whistle of the shot as it passed her.
“Careful, Buck,” she reprimanded. “You can’t kill something that’s already dead.”
“W-what?”
“I know, it’s practically unbelievable,” she chuckled. “Death becomes me, doesn’t it?”
Rosalie was so close now that it would only take four steps for her to be nose-to-nose with them. Her appearance was illuminated by the moonlight streaming through the open front door, every feature now unmistakable to the men in front of her.
As they looked into her eyes, they couldn’t help the scream that bubbled from their throats. It was at that moment that they knew their guns would be useless against the intruder. She was definitely not human anymore.
Buck shot at her stomach, watching in astonishment as the bullets ricocheted against her rather than fly through her. On the other hand, Andre decided to take off in a run. Rosalie could only laugh. Her beautiful voice made their veins run cold, fear grasping them by the throats.
The blonde took Buck’s gun in her hand, bending the barrel until no more bullets could move through, and grabbed him by his throat, walking toward Andre. She dragged the man's body with one hand, smiling as he tried to claw free, twisting and turning in her grasp. In a couple of seconds, she was behind the younger Hubert. With the damaged gun, she shattered his right leg, smiling as he yelled in pain.
“Please, please,” Andre cried. Tears and snot mixed on his face, the mask of pure desperation sliding onto him. “Just let us go. We’re sorry, Rosalie. We were just having some fun. It should have never gotten to that point.”
“Oh, then, please. Tell me when I was having fun?”  Rosalie said. She had dropped both brothers on the floor, one right next to the other, kneeling. “Was it when I begged you all to stop? Was it when my body had been assaulted to the point where I could not even move a finger? Or maybe it was when you were telling Royce he had to start looking for a new wife since I was dead? I would love to know what was fun about any of that.”
“It wasn’t,” Buck blubbered. “We were wrong, Rosalie. What we did was despicable.”
“It was, wasn’t it? It was the most vile thing you could ever do to a woman –to anyone,” she smiled. “But you still did it. And it cost me my life. Now, it’s gonna cost you yours.”
The brothers let out strings of ‘no, please’s and ‘have mercy, Rosalie’s, and it made the fire inside her burn hotter. The vampire stared at Andre first, the youngest of the two. The one she had gone to school with. The one that was only a couple of months her junior. The boy that had acted like a man and taken everything from her. His cheeks were stained with tears, his eyes red and swollen from crying.
“You could’ve made a woman very happy, Andre,” she smiled. “At least, the boy I knew in school would have. You, as you are now, don’t deserve the dirt on my shoes.”
“I’m so sorry, Rosalie,” he sobbed. The attractive boy she had known had been battered to a sorry excuse for a human, and she reveled in it. “Please, just let me go. I promise I’ll never do it again.”
“You’re right. You won’t do it again,” she said, wrapping her hands around his neck. “Save your sorry for your god, Andre.”
And she snapped his neck, watching as his body slumped to the floor.
Beside him, Buck let out a guttural scream. A completely broken and full of agony wail. Music to her ears. “Does it hurt, Buck?” she said. “To see the body of the little brother you had sworn to protect, lifeless and beaten? Does it hurt that there was absolutely nothing you could have done to save his life?”
When he kept quiet, only responding in whimpers and whines, she took his left arm and broke it under her grip. “Answer me,”  she seethed. “How bad does it hurt.”
“It’s the worst pain imaginable,” he yelled out. “I should have saved him. Saved him from you!”
“No, Buck,” she tsked. “You should have saved him from you. From the wickedness of your mind and your actions. Your brother? Your baby brother is dead because of you. And you can let him know when you join him.”
Her pale hands wrapped around his throat once more, her eyes observing as the fight left his body. With his only hand, he tried to claw at her skin, to sink his nails into her in an attempt to free himself, but it was futile. He couldn’t even squeeze her.
She stared into his eyes, the way they pleaded, and she committed them to memory. And she wondered. She wondered if they had looked into her eyes, would they have shown her mercy? Would they have at least let her live to see another day? The fact was that they hadn’t and she would not dwell on them. On these men that were barely human.
Rosalie squeezed until Buck’s hand fell to his side and his heart stopped beating. She squeezed until there was nothing left in his eyes but the colored irises. She squeezed until she was satisfied. Once she was done, she let his body fall to the floor, slumping against his brother. They were a masterpiece before her. Dead without shedding a single drop of blood.
She called the police after, claiming to be a neighbor that heard a ruckus in the Hubert house and she watched from the shadows as the scene unveiled before her. The Huber parents arrived before the police, though they weren’t far behind. Mrs. Hubert let out a heart wrenching wail, calling for her boys as she collapsed in her husband’s arms. And, instead of feeling guilty, she wondered how her own parents would have reacted to finding her body.
Would her mother shriek? Would her father turn heaven and hell until he found the culprit? Would he yell at the policemen to do their job and find the bastard that did such a violent act as Mr. Hubert? Those were answers she would never get. There was no body for her parents to find, no crime to be reported. Not anymore.
The girl remained at the scene for only a moment more, waiting until the front of the estate was flooded with neighbors and people from deep in the town surely woken from the commotion. She waited until everyone’s attention was on the Hubert brothers and none would be on the people farther away. Especially people staying at hotels in the town center.
There were two men down on her list. Three more to go. And she would not give them even a second to escape. Their karma was coming for them in the shape of a beautiful vampire.

What if I wrote a Rosalie hale fanfic where she falls in love (Emmett is just living his best life as a single Pringle in this one) with a 80s vampire and they talk about how much times have changed between her life and his?

Dating Jasper Hale
headcanons
Tumblr media
summary: what it’s like to date my favorite vampire cowboy
pairing: jasper hale x gn!reader
warnings: swearing, very brief mention of sex
note: is the twilight fandom active or am i talking to myself either way i love jasper so here’s this :)
You and Jasper met at school. Honestly, you probably thought him and his family were really weird at first I don’t blame you at all.
He probably tries to stay away from you at first, scared he’ll hurt you. He’s still not got his whole blood lust thing under control so he’ll definitely try to distance himself.
When he figures out you’re his mate, he’s very exasperated. He just got over his urge to kill Bella and now his mate is a human, too?
It definitely makes him work harder to control his blood lust. He wouldn’t approach you until he was absolutely sure he had it under control.
When he does approach you, he’s very sweet and patient.
Jasper is such a gentleman !!
He definitely follows the sidewalk rule, letting you walk on the inside, away from any traffic.
He introduces you to his family fairly quickly. They’ve heard all about you anyway.
Carlisle and Esme are very welcoming and excited to meet you. They love when their kids bring home new partners.
Emmett is so fucking excited. He loves meeting new people and you seem so cool. He’d do everything he could to make you feel comfortable and at home with the Cullens.
Alice is also very very excited. She’s absolutely sure the two of you will be best friends. She’s a little over eager sometimes but she has the best intentions.
Rosalie is definitely the least welcoming, treating you the same way she treated Bella. Eventually, she comes around. She actually really likes you, she’s just a bit jealous of you.
Edward and Bella are, well, Edward and Bella. They seem excited to meet you but you’re honestly not sure.
Overall, the Cullens love you and would protect you with their lives, especially if they feel like you’re in real danger.
Jasper is really thankful that you get along so well with his family. It makes it a lot easier to tell you their secret.
He doesn’t tell you right away. He lets you warm up to his family and get to know everyone. He’d tell you around six months into your relationship.
By that point, you obviously have your suspicions. They’re all freezing cold the touch, they don’t have family dinners, they’re never out in the sunlight, and they think thunderstorms are baseball weather??
Jasper gives you a way out immediately. He swears that none of them would think badly of you if you chose to stop coming around.
Obviously, you don’t. You love the Cullens and know that they would never hurt you.
Jasper doesn’t mind turning you. He just wants to make sure that you’re completely sure before he does. He makes you do a pros and cons list before coming to a decision.
He obviously wants to be with you forever, but if you’re not up for it, he gets it. He wouldn’t pressure you to change your mind.
If you do want him to turn you, he’d definitely be nervous. He may even let Carlisle do it.
He never, ever wants to hurt you.
Jasper loves when you read to him. He doesn’t like to read a lot himself but listening to you talk is one of his favorite things.
He’s also still a little old fashioned. He wants to marry you before you sleep together and he’ll definitely ask your parents before he proposes.
He’s very nervous meeting your parents. He hasn’t had to do something like that in like a century so it’s very nerve wracking for him. Plus, he knows his family has an odd reputation around Forks.
Your parents would love him. He’s polite and courteous the entire time and he makes a really good impression.
He really loves you and he absolutely wants to spend the rest of his life by your side.

Can u write a alice cullen x jasper hale x fem reader smut
(I'm sorry. I'm not comfortable in actually writing smut at the moment. But, I still hope it is good enough ?)
You were talking with one of the guests at Bella's wedding after-party and smiled knowingly when you felt Jasper's intense gaze on you.
He had been observing you all night, and even though you knew he wasn't comfortable with you welcoming the guests and being so close to so many humans, you couldn't help but tease him.
But, you had a very good reason to.
Jasper never let himself go and had not even dare approach you all evening to ask you for a dance, even though you and Alice had already danced multiple times that night. You had to keep your relationship a secret of course, but he could have at least talked to you.
He was only staring, making it clear that he wasn't happy with your decision to ignore his gaze.
Finally, you eyes connected and Jasper seemed to be doing his best not to cross the room and take your hand to yank you against him and make sure everyone knew who you belonged to.
But, he restrained himself. As he always had.
It was torture to pretend to have only brotherly affection for you in front of all these people.
But, he had no choice.
When him and Alice had moved to Forks, they were already a couple and didn't want to get attention on themselves by admitting you were part of their love life.
They had to fit in.
But, it eventually led to suitors chasing after you, and it made Jasper jealous, incredibly jealous. He had to stand back, pretend not to be affected by everything and Alice had tried to make things easier, but there was so much she could control.
He was so focused on you now, he failed to notice that someone had made their way to him and were now standing next to him, looking at the you too.
"Must be hard..Being the only Cullen who is single."
Jasper was a little surprised that one of Bella's classmates succeeded in sneaking up on him, even more by his words.
Tumblr media
"Single ? What do you mean ?"
He asked, glancing at the blond man standing next to him quizzically. He thought his name was Mike ? Said Mike was staring at you, a small smile dancing on his lips and it was only then that Jasper noticed that he was holding two cups of beer.
"Well..Every Cullen has someone now. Rosalie and Emmett. You and Alice. And now, Edward and Bella..She's the only Cullen who is without a special buddy. It's sad. Maybe, I'll go and talk to her ? Try my luck, you know ? So..Anyway I thought I could maybe get some advice from you ?"
Jasper stiffened at the insinuation and it took all of his willpower not to growl at him. He wouldn't let him touch you. You were his and Alice's alone. Instead, he remained civile and smiled coldly.
"I think you're mistaken..No Cullen is single."
Mike's smile disappeared and was replaced with a frown and an annoyed huff.
"Whatever man. I know she's your sister and you have to protect her, but I'm going in. It's over. You've done your job. My turn now."
Mike patted Jasper's shoulder—unaware of the rage he initiated in Jasper—before walking in your direction, the two cups still in his hands. When you turned towards Mike with a wide smile and accepted the cup, he didn't think twice. Jasper grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm behind his back before he could take one more step towards you. Mike let out a small noise of pain as Jasper applied pressure on his shoulder. He then bent down just enough for Mike to hear.
"I said, she's taken. Get lost."
Before anyone could notice, or Mike even had the chance to reply, Alice was by Jasper's side and gently took his hand.
"Jasper.."
She whispered warningly at her impulsive partner who inhaled shakily before finally releasing Mike. The young man turned around to face him and opened his mouth to either threaten, insult or protest loudly. But, Alice interrupted him before he could utter a sound.
Tumblr media
"It was so nice of you to come..Unfortunately, I'll have to ask you to leave."
Mike looked at the both of them successively in disbelief before scowling and turning on his heels to leave, unwilling to get the Cullen family on his back. He slammed the door behind him and both Cullens stared at the door until his car was out of ear reach. Alice knew exactly what had happened, and so did you—thanks to your incredible hearing. Alice and Jasper sat down on a sofa in the garden, away from the commotion of the other guests and failed to notice the shadow following them. Alice looked at Jasper with a small comforting smile and squeezed his hand lightly, knowing how he had to control himself and how hard it was for him. She didn't have to say anything, Jasper knew.
He had acted foolishly and would have to learn how to control his temper.
However, he was brought back from his inner thought by you, suddenly wrapping your arms around their shoulders from behind. You smiled from ear to ear and kissed his cheek.
"So..I'm single, huh ? Shoot. He's right. Maybe, I should go talk to the wolves ? Do you think one of them would be interested in little old me ?"
Both of your lovers snapped their heads towards you in impressive synchronization, which made you laugh a little.
"Don't you dare..", Jasper growled.
To which, you only laughed harder and Alice stroked your cheek softly, which sent shivers running down your spine at the intimate affectionate gesture.
"You know better than anyone that you belong with us, darling."
You closed your eyes, still enjoying her touch and almost purred, until she stopped. You then opened your eyes and saw both of your lovers smiling knowingly at you.
"Either way..I don't think you would get far without us, would you, kitten ?"
Jasper nuzzled the side of your neck and even though he had no right being so cocky after that little show, he was right. But, you still didn't declare defeat, grasping his jaw to make him look at you before kissing him. He deepened the kiss by pulling you by the back of your neck, but you bit his lower lip playfully, which earned you a slight groan.
"Huh-huh..I could almost believe you, but something tells me you would be the one lost without me."
You teased him and he chuckled before leaning forward for another kiss, but Alice beat him to it and winked at him before kissing you and leaving a few kisses along your throat.
"Have you two forgotten about me ? I'm the reason we found each other. Where is my thanks, huh ?"
Jasper chuckled before kissing her face and innocently lowering his hand on her thigh, squeezing it slightly.
"Of course you did, my love."
You smiled before tilting your head and resting your chin on the palm of your hand thoughtfully.
"As for your thanks ? I've got an idea or two of what we could do.."
Alice raised a quizzical eyebrow at you before you sticked out your tongue suggestively and couldn't help but laugh as her eyes widened significantly. Jasper took the hint immediately and raised both of his hands between her legs to spread them with no warning, making Alice gasp.
"Sorry, my love..It's been quite a while. And, I'm eager."

"That. I can tell."
Alice giggled to hide her nervousness and hid her face behind her hands instinctively, even though she had no blush to hide. You then joined them and finally offered with a suggestive smile.
"How about we take this to the bedroom ?"
Jasper and Alice smiled back and Jasper stood up, helping Alice up as well before taking both of your hands.
"I thought you'd never ask."
However, Alice shook her head before glancing back at Bella and Edward that were still celebrating.
"We can't leave. Not yet.."
You and Jasper both groaned in annoyance, but had to admit that Alice was right. It was their night.
"Can't we call it a night ?"
You asked hopefully, but Alice smiled apologetically at you.
"I promised Bella I would stay until the end. But, you two can go on without me ?"
"No."
The response was unanimous from you and Jasper, you both didn't want to be separated from Alice and she smiled gratefully at the both of you. She had waited a long time for the three of you to be together and she was truly happy that you had finally found each other.
You had to get back inside and Alice led the three of you to the door, but Jasper froze as he knew he would have to face all those pairs of eyes again. He would have to pretend not to love you both and lie.
He looked at you and you smiled reassuringly at him before squeezing his hand to give him some courage.
"Don't worry, Jasper. I love you. They can't take me away. I'll be there. Always."
You words soothed him, but he also knew you were lying yourself. You were as bothered as him of this tiresome game of pretend.
You all went inside and suddenly, the room went quiet. You didn't understand until you realized, the three of you were still holding hands. You tried to shake your hands away, but Alice and Jasper didn't let go. They stood on either side of you and Alice whispered.
"No more hiding. It's high time they all know the truth."
Your eyes widened as they both kissed you and it took you a moment to process that now, everyone knew. Everyone knew, and for some reason, you weren't afraid.
Bella was the first one to stand up and clap. The rest of the people present quickly followed and you felt as if you could fly, your feet didn't touch the floor no more and the only thing keeping you from being blown away, were the two hands firmly holding you. Finally. It was out in the open and you could kiss and hold the persons you loved most without shame or fear.
You hugged Alice who laughed as you did, understanding your relief and Jasper smiled when you hugged him toi and whispered in your ear.
"The last Cullen is single no more."
And at that moment, you smiled widely in pure bliss and that day became yours and Bella's favourite.

I've spent days trying to figure out what to do first so....
I've been flipflopping between all of these unable to choose which one to complete and post for you all. Some of these will be longer than others (such as the SE one) while others will likely be decently short (FAF one until a new movie comes out).
The Last Of Us - Our Flickering Light
Joel Miller x M!Reader (TW/CW: Violence, zombies, big age gap in a romantic relationship (Y/N is in his late twenties fyi))
Following the adoptive son of Frank and Bill, (Y/N) will set off to help Joel on his mission to get Ellie to the fireflies and find a cure to save the world. Along this journey, (Y/N) will develop a good friendship with Ellie and eventually a romantic relationship with Joel. Depending on how they approach season 2, this fic may be contained to just season 1 and a part or two that take place between seasons.
Daisy Jones and The Six - Money and Glory
Camila Dunne/Alvarez x M!Reader (TW/CW: Infidelity, mentions of addictions, drug mention)
Following Teddy Price's adoptive-but-not-adopted son, (Y/N) is a rockstar at the peak of his career. With adoring fans and undeniable talent, his producer and father figure, Teddy Price, wants him to take a chance on a fresh band named The Six. However, turbulent friendships and rivalries are formed, and it isn't long before he finds himself in a sticky and complicated love square between a married couple and a certain impulsive redhead.
Sex Education - As You Like It
Maeve Wiley x M!Reader (TW/CW: Vulgar language, sex talk obviously, drug mention, SA mention, mature topics, teenage angst)
After being forced to leave America and follow his mother to the United Kingdom, (Y/N) enrolls in Moordale Secondary School where he quickly becomes acquainted with the school's 'bad girl', Maeve Wiley. Similar humor and opinions lead them to forming a close friendship, but platonic feelings soon become romantic and they're forced to navigate the unknown world of love and trust.
Bridgerton - Peonies and Camellias
Daphne Bridgerton x M!Reader (TW/CW: Enforced traditional gender roles/opinions, men being men, missed signals and mixed signals)
Nobody's surprised when the known hopeless romantic, Daphne Bridgerton, falls in love with her childhood friend, (Y/N). After years of quietly pining and envisioning a future together, Daphne finally sees her dream come close enough to touch when she finally enters the social season as a proper woman. But, it seems destiny's playing tricks on her and she's left frustrated when her friend can't seem to take the hint. So, she enlists the help of the Duke to help win the heart of her beloved.
Fast and Furious - Thicker Than Water
Fast Crew x M!Reader (TW/CW: Gun mention, war crimes being done ngl, lotta cars, familial issues, angst)
When Jakob Toretto emerges from the shadows and puts himself on the radar of the Fast Crew, Dom is forced to join the fight and put an end to his brother's mayhem. But Jakob's not alone. Working with him is a younger, quicker, and equally as ruthless young man and the two become a formidable duo. Amidst the chaos and fighting, Letty is forced to confront a secret she'd long buried: the son she abandoned who's back and on the side of the enemy.
I have other fic series in mind but their lengths are unknown thus I can't add them to this poll as I don't want to accidentally do a really long fic without doing the promised Sansa Stark one first. This list includes Alicent Hightower x M!Targaryen!Reader (HOTD), a Artemis Crock x M!Reader (Young Justice), a Rosalie Hale x M!Reader x Emmett Cullen (Twilight), Tommy Shelby x M!Reader (Peaky Blinders), Cassie Howard x M!Reader x Maddy Perez (Euphoria, Double Trouble remake), and Hargreeves x M!Hargreeve!Reader (The Umbrella Academy).

Fine Line
Fandom: Twilight Pairing: Jasper Hale x Male!Reader Summary: Jasper is in love, he just doesn’t know how to handle it. Word Count: 779
Tumblr media
The drive was awfully quiet.
It wasn’t comfortable either, Jasper hated the silence, he could feel everyone’s emotion in the car. Rosalie was driving as fast as she could whilst Alice sat in the passenger seat on her phone, constantly updating Carlisle. They were driving in Emmett’s car, so he was mounted in the back, keeping an eye on any potential threats.
Edwards was trailing behind them in his own car, his emotion was loud enough that Jasper could feel it.
He was sat behind Rosalie and Alice, with you next to him, limp in his arms. Your blood doesn’t bother him much, he loves you too much to even think about harming you.
You are slump against his side, his arm wrapped over your shoulders whilst your head is rested on his marble cold shoulder. They can hear your blood pumping through the heart, though it was slow and concerning. Rosalie looked through the view mirror watching how Jasper carefully moved your hair and kissed the top of your forehead, she started to step on the gas.
“How long left?” Jasper asked carefully.
“Less than an hour, Jas,” Rosalie spoke gently, smiling at him through the mirror before landing her eyes back on the road.
“Carlisle has everything set up for him, Jas, he’ll be okay.”
Jasper merely nodded, only knowing that Alice’s words don’t hold much weight of truth. She doesn’t really know if you’ll be okay, despite being able to see in the future, your future was covered by runes of old magic.
You weren’t a vampire, you weren’t a werewolf or like that pack - shapeshifters. You were just human, with your family heavily believing in runic magic. His family has found fondness of you, you weren’t overbearing and you were just curious to know more. It could be your charms, really, you had a way with words that most humans don’t.
Jasper has never really admitted his feelings to you. After all, he is a vampire, who will continue to live, and you were just human. Destined to grow old and eventually die, and Jasper will have to witness that. He knows he cannot stray too far from you, his emotions are louder than his head - he would follow you to the end of the world if it was possible.
He doesn’t want to give you the choice either. He doesn’t want you to choose between becoming a vampire, joining his family and leaving yours - or staying human, live your futile life, meeting someone else and growing old with them. He never really got the choice of death or immortality, and as selfish it may sound, he wished that you didn’t either - if it means you could stay by his side forever.
“You know, I’m no mind reader, but I think you’re in love with him.”
Jasper rips his eyes away from you as he looked at Alice, who turns in her seat, smiling softly. She holds out to Jasper’s hand, gently rubbing her thumb in reassurance.
“He’s breathing, Jasper, he’s doing better than most humans.”
“I’m scared if I look away for a second, he wouldn’t be okay,” Jasper admitted, “Truthfully, I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this with anyone.”
“That’s love, Jasper,” Rosalie gives out an airy laugh at her brother, “You’re hopelessly head over heels over him.”
“I can’t help it,” Jasper rolls his eyes at the light teasing, “(Y/n) is different, he’s not like the rest. Kind of a pretty boy, isn’t he?”
“You’re smitten, Jas!” Emmett shouted, though he really didn’t need to, he would have been heard just fine.
“Fuck off,” Jasper once more rolls his eyes, though there’s a grin upon his lips. His shoulders relax just a little bit, the awkwardness has lifted just slightly.
He feels movement from you, he turns his attention to you as you softly moan. Upon hearing that, Rosalie just quickens the pace a bit, Alice is back on the phone texting Carlisle that you’re in and out of consciousness, Emmett shuts up from behind and gives a signal to Edward to put a bit more pace on it as well.
You opened your eyes to look at the vampire before softly smiling to yourself, he catches on to your smile as you nuzzle yourself a little bit deeper into him. He might be made out of marble, but you’ve found somewhat comfort to his exterior, it was no difference in the comfort in his cold interior.
You close your eyes again, he knows you won’t remember this moment as he kisses your forehead again.
He smiles to himself as he can only feel love and happiness radiating from you.

Kiss Me Silly
Rosalie Hale X F!Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was an accident she swears it, never meant for you to become a habit of hers. But here she is, a year later, huddled under a blanket with you, barely watching the movie. More keen on watching you. The way you pull the fabric tighter, just barely peeking out of the fluff; even though you had been the one to insist on watching a horror movie. She smiles, you always did this.
The way you let her fingers lace tightly with yours—so long as you’re under the blanket because your small apartment is too cold. And while Rosalie cannot tell. You are very aware of how cold it is in the room, and how cold Rosalie is. Everything about you is so exceptional to Rosalie, it absolutely enchants her—from your beauty to your habits.
“Stop staring.” Rosalie smiles, leaning into your shoulder. This is the best she has felt in the last five decades, no longer as lonely as she used to feel.
“Never.” Rosalie wants to cement every facet of every expression because you’ll never be another Bella… She tells herself this every time she’s with you, a cruel reminder that she’ll never take your humanity. She will never change you. It will break her heart, but Rosalie wishes more than anything that she was human still. So human you will stay.
That was when things were much easier when Rosalie wasn’t busy living two lives. Her life as a vampire with her family, and her life pretending to be human with you—desperate to keep you out of that world. Her world. But everyone keeps warning her that you’ll find out eventually, that you’re a lot smarter than she seems to give you credit for. So when you started to distance yourself, she began to worry that maybe her lies had finally caught up to her. Maybe she had slipped up, or maybe you were just tired of all the secrets she kept. You were her human life, the vicarious experience that happened to involve the greatest human she’s ever met. The greatest person to ever exist from her perspective.
She sits outside the college campus, your class is supposed to have ended fifteen minutes ago—but still she sits here. Having missed being near you for the last week. However, as the hour begins to shift—you never make it out of the building. ‘Love? You still at class?’ You see the message and Rosalie can see you staring at it for a couple minutes, at first typing and then stoping yourself. Something really does feel wrong, Rosalie thinks to herself as she puts on her flashes and walks into the building. She moves quickly, only faster than an above average pace when she is certain no one is near.
‘Yeah. Have to stay after for a couple hours. I’m sorry, catch up with you tomorrow.’ Rosalie would have believed it if she wasn’t looking at an empty lecture hall, and almost completely empty building.
‘Okay. I love you.’ Read. But there is never a response that comes through, instead Rosalie is left with knowledge that you are avoiding her. Lying to her. That’s the only thing that makes sense.
That was hours ago, and now she’s sitting in the car—outside your apartment building. It feels obsessive and it makes Rosalie’s skin crawl, but you lied outright to her. Something you pride yourself over, that you aren’t a liar, but you lied. That’s really not normal. And when Rosalie is honest with herself, she just wants to know the truth. If you are okay. If you found out. If you never want to see her again because she is a monster.
Yet she could never bring herself to go inside, or even go near the building, because maybe this is for the better. Much safer for you, that’s for certain. Her light. You made immortality worth something, not so long and not so bad. Without you, things will return to what it was before. Rosalie is not okay with that, but she will pretend its okay until it finally is. It has to be. No matter what.
Time passed slowly for Rosalie, and when 50 years since you disappeared hit her—she felt like crying. But how could she? She’s dead, both physically and emotionally. A complete wreck. She drove away that night, watched your bedroom light go out and she tried to never look back. Pretend like it doesn’t bother her, but it does. Everyday she is faced with the reality that she should have went inside, maybe prevented your disappearance. Your missing persons posters haunt her days, and if she were capable of sleeping, it would cloud her nightmares. Your expression. Your eyes. You always seemed so dead in those posters.
Rosalie poured herself over the police report everyday for a decade. Your apartment manager said you paid your entire years rent, left all your things, and never said a word. You were there one night, and gone the next. Your parents got an ‘I love you’ text. Your car, your wallet, and documents left in the box under your bed. Your bank account emptied to pay the apartment off completely. No bus tickets. No plane tickets. No witnesses. No cameras. You just dropped off the planet entirely. Within three days of your last text to her, Y/N Y/L/N, was gone completely.
She held out hope that she would find you eventually, trying to only every picture you on Valentines or on Christmas—how your eyes were always alight. Or how you’d giggle when she kissed you silly—that is what you used to say. All the time. But now, you are long dead. Presumed as such twenty years after your disappearance when they found remnants of your clothes, covered in blood.
Still Rosalie lights the candle and wishes you a happy birthday… 70 Years old, she always wanted you to live that long. Rosalie swallows, barely able to inhale or exhale, or move. Years did not heal the gaping wound, it just made it all the more pronounced. More visible to everyone around her, that she grows more bitter with the cruelty of time. It became harder on her family, and pushed Rosalie into isolation. An empty home in the mountains, a place that only you would love— because hiking was your favorite thing. Alone.
You were alone in whatever you faced, and now she deserves every bit of loneliness because she was supposed to protect you. With no proper grave, your parents long dead before they ever believed you were—Rosalie was stuck in the rut of her despair. With no stone engraved with your name, it doesn’t become any easier. She wishes you weren’t dead. Leaning into the couch, Rosalie goes numb—your candle the only thing that illuminates her features.
Another 50 years, Rosalie emerged from isolation two decades earlier, finally accepting that you are dead. You couldn’t be alive by no means. A siren of her memory at this point.
She really had nothing else to do other than keep going, and hope her heart would learn to miss you a little less. Not that she believed that it would actually mend.
“Rose?” She looks up at Emmett and smiles, her best friend, with his help—she almost doesn’t feel as terrible day to day. She feels okay for the most part. But here’s the thing, when she sees him and any of the Cullens with their mates, their Y/N’s. Rosalie is forced to remember what she lost.
“Come onnnnnn. Come with us to Montreal.” But it’s your birthday, she can’t imagine—she doesn’t want to—“Y/N wouldn’t want you to mope around every time their birthday passes.” Emmett doesn’t know what you’d want—to this day, Rosalie barely knows what you would have wanted. How your life would have ended up becoming, and who you would have been. With so many dreams, and so much potential.
“You can’t know that.” Her smile is soft and sad…
“I know what I would want from my Y/N.” Using kind words, Rosalie could explain how it doesn’t feel right. But she nods. She’ll remember you from Montreal, mourn your loss with the knowledge she’s somewhere you loved visiting. That means something too. Because that’s the thing, you only get one true love.
Rosalie dresses in what would be warm clothes, eyes scanning the thick crowds. Street lamps just beginning to turn on as the day turns to dusk. “Come to Montreal… they said… It’ll be fun… They said.” Her family ditched her before she even had a chance to distract herself. Maybe she really is miserable company, but she enjoys the city. So did you, and every reminder sends her mind into a spiral of thought.
She smiles at strangers, practically drowning in the scent of your memory— one that is so vivid, it feels real. A woman bumps into her should and it forces her into reality, but still your scent remains. Vanilla and pine, a smell she only associates with you. Closer.
Rosalie looks around, spotting a red knitted hat—familiar hair and it sends Rosalie forward. Pushing—weaving in and out, as she goes through the crowd. She has to know. To be absolutely certain because it will haunt her. It has- Rosalie yells your name and when you turn around, Rosalie stops. Hesitating, air catching in her lungs despite air not being needed. Its you.
No older than the last time she saw you. You are still the most beautiful thing Rosalie has ever seen, your thick knee length coat with shiny buttons making every feature stand out. A century later, and you are untouched by time.
“Rosalie?”
You move instantly, within a crowd of thousands, you pull her into the building. Moving faster than a blink, the blondes shock still having not worn off. Her arms held onto your memory, and now she has you physically in her arms. You grip her close and your mirage slips away, and Rosalie is looking into shining rubies for irises. Glittering orbs.
“How?” Rosalie never wanted this for you, her finger stroking your cheek, seeing the beauty in the cold stone.
“Don’t worry. He’s dead now.” Never wanted to take away your chance, but as she kisses your cheek. As she runs her fingers through your hai. She feels uneasy and all too exposed. Her nerves and heart exposed to the open air, and still here. She breathes in deeply. Still here. Because now, Rosalie is more at home than she has felt in a long time… You were always meant to be her home.
You brought her back to your apartment, shifting your eyes back Y/E/C. You don’t like the red, but it is all you have known since you were turned. “Were you-?” You cut yourself off, not wanting to invade her privacy too much. You worry things have changed more than you expected them to.
“Was I always a vampire?” That is always the question, “Yeah…” More silence, you spent a century alone— trying to figure out how to be a vampire. Missing the last good thing you had before it was all taken away.
“I was so afraid to hurt you… I thought I had to leave.” Her hand twitch’s in your direction, you see the smallest effort to comfort you. But she withdraws.
“You’ve been on your own, haven’t you?”
“Not so bad. I learned I could shift, appear more human. But after a rough first few decades, I learned to manage the—well, the thirst.” You were out of control in the beginning, tearing through cities like they were nothing—hikers, strangers, killers—you made no distinction. You hate that part of your life. But you learned after a while, put limits on yourself and slowly resented yourself a little less too. She embraces you though, eyes widening before you settle.
“Don’t leave me again.”
“I missed you too Rosie.” Rosalie didn’t want this for you, but she wont lose you. And a part of her is okay with that. “So are you going to kiss me silly?”
Rosalie was never happier—never more overjoyed to kiss those lips and they never tasted so sweet.

Hi I love your work so much it is so amazing 🥰 I was wondering if u could possibly do an age regression fluff/slight angst with Rosalie Hale where they go to a waterfall and they go swimming in the lake and they both go underwater and reader doesn’t come up so Rosalie thinks something happened to her and panics but she is just hiding from Rosalie. I understand if u don’t want to do it but thanks for making really good stories to read 🥰❤️
Drowning Frights
pairing: Rosalie Hale x reader Warnings: Age regression, slight angst, fluff, cursing, slight mention of verbal abuse ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Rosalie had dragged you out of bed earlier this morning, you didn’t expect to find yourself looking at a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the woods. Rose told you she had found it when hunting and that she wanted to bring you here for a while.
She had set up a little picnic by the water with food that Esme had graciously cooked.
You made your way over to the picnic carefully so as to not fall and hurt yourself. You were wearing a simple yellow sundress and sandals. Rosalie was behind you with her arms slightly out to make sure you didn’t fall. She hated seeing you hurt.
Once both of you were seated on the blanket she pulled out sandwiches and strawberries. You laughed as she pulled out 3 sandwiches.
“Rosie, you know I’ll only end up eating one of those.” She smiled at you and looked back at the food.
After you had finished eating and sat for a little while Rosalie had decided it was time to swim.
She gently dragged you into the water before splashing you. You both spent an hour just playing in the water before you got an idea.
“Rosie, I bet I can stay underwater longer than you.” Raising her eyebrows she just stared at you.
“Y/n, I don’t need to breathe. I’m pretty sure ill win.” You acted upset by the statement knowing she would give in. With a shake of her head, she agreed and you smiled widely.
Counting down from 3 you both went underwater. Quickly you swam behind the waterfall. You knew she would still be able to hear your heartbeat.
Not long after you made it behind the waterfall you heard Rose start calling out your name.
“Y/n? Where are you?” You could hear her voice becoming more desperate as she called out your name. Eventually, you couldn’t stop yourself and you ended up laughing. Not even a second later Rose was beside you checking you over.
“Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” Shaking her head no and laughing Rosalie quickly realized that you were fine then he once caring expression turned stone cold.
“How could you do that? You scared me! Gosh, you are so fucking careless.” once you saw that she wasn’t laughing your face fell and you looked at the ground. By now you were both out of the water and you had a towel wrapped around your body. Rosalie went on ranting about how you should have thought that through. You didn’t think it was a big deal. You weren’t even underwater and you didn’t go far. You didn’t have a good history of being yelled at. Your parents weren’t the sweetest so they yelled at you over everything.
Tears began falling down your face but it wasn’t until you started quietly sniffling that she realized she had been yelling at you.
Rosalie took an unnecessary breath before walking over to you.
“I’m sorry. It’s just, you really scared me. I thought something happened to you.” You nodded and she brought you into her arms. The coldness of her skin caused you to shiver but you didn’t pay much attention to it. You were just happy to be in her arms.

Angel - Jasper Hale
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jasper Hale x Reader
Characters: Jasper Hale, Emmett Cullen
Warnings: N/A
Request: @love-and-virtues: “jasper hale + angel”
Word Count: 488
Author: Hannah
If someone had told you that in your final year of high school, you’d meet someone utterly amazing you probably would’ve laughed in their face.
You had never been one for a relationship – yes there were people you liked, there were people you had gone out on dates with but there had never been someone that you’d wanted a fully-fledged relationship with.
It had always seemed like too much.
And then you had seen Jasper. You’d transferred schools when you’d moved to Forks, and yes it was daunting going into a completely new environment but the day you saw Jasper made it all worth it.
It had been just over two months since that day and there was barely a moment that you weren’t with Jasper.
You were lucky that your parents were understanding and didn’t mind the amount you went out so that essentially meant you spent more time at Jasper’s house than you did your own.
“There she is!” Emmett declared as you walked out of Jasper’s room that morning.
You rolled your eyes. “You saw me get here last night, don’t pretend to be scandalised.”
He laughed and patted the seat next to him on the sofa. “Jas will be back soon with Edward and Rose; they went out early this morning for a feed.”
You nodded in understanding at what he meant, you had known for over a month of Jasper’s lifestyle and the way he was – it was not an easy thing to adjust to, but it was easy with Jasper.
“Hello, my angel,” Jasper greeted as he walked up the stairs.
You smiled as he approached you, but Emmett reached for him first.
“Hi baby!” Emmett jokingly responded as he wrapped Jasper up in a hug.
The look on your boyfriend’s face told you that he did not appreciate how his ‘adoptive brother’ was currently holding him.
“Save me,” Jasper mouthed to you over Emmett’s shoulder.
You laughed but shook your head. “That’s what you get for stealing his girlfriend for a hunt.”
After a couple more minutes of Emmett cuddling Jasper and spinning him around the room Rosalie eventually managed to get Emmett to leave your boyfriend alone, with the promise of going on a hunt with him later.
“I missed you,” you told Jasper as he sat down next to you once Emmett was out of the room.
Jasper chuckled, pulling you into his side. “I missed you too angel.”
Since the start of your relationship Jasper had often referred to you as his angel and it had fast become your favourite pet name.
There was something about the way it rolled off his tongue with his accent. But what really gave you butterflies from it was the look in his eyes when he said it.
He had such love and sincerity in his eyes whenever the pet name slipped out and it never failed to make your heart swell.

Summary: Y/N is a vampire that the Olympic Coven first crossed paths with after Carlisle created Rosalie. Intrigued by their choice to live by the same lifestyle choice, she stuck around for a decade, but eventually left to do some travelling on her own. Of course, she dropped in on them over the years, and over the visits a bond was formed between her and the Cullen’s—she came to see them as family. Despite her intense love for all five of them, she was closest with Edward, though she didn’t see him as family. Edward became best friend to her—though both agreed that term was pathetic in fully describing the connection they shared. While they were platonic for the most part, neither had qualms against satisfying their needs when the instinct arose, and it worked well for them because neither attempted to make it something more than it was. It’s been a while since she’s paid the coven a visit, so long in fact that she is unaware that the coven has two new members. How will she and a certain blonde vampire react when they discover that they’re mates?
I didn’t realise how long it had been until I really stopped and thought about the last time I’d seen them. Time moves so quickly when you become a vampire that you just get used to it, it becomes meaningless because it has no affect on you—you don’t age, your friends don’t age, so what’s the point in keeping track? You have all the time in the world to see whatever you wish to see, and if your friends and family are also immortal then the same principle applies. Fifty years could pass since you’ve seen the coven you call family and it can feel like it’s only been a week.
And it did. It only felt like a month ago when I was last with Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett and Edward. It had been just after Rose had bought the curly haired boy to the blonde vampire, begging for him to be turned into one of us. I’d stayed for about a decade after that and remembered being happy as I observed the way Rosalie lit up for the first time in her immortal life—how she finally embraced the second chance she’d been given and started living again. It had been a relief for everyone—especially Edward, I remembered with a snort; Carlisle had been trying to subtly push his oldest and newest creation together for years at that point. The Doctor was wonderful at many things, but matchmaking was most definitely not one of his strengths.
I’d eventually left them again at the end of fall in 1945, claiming that I wanted to see New York in winter. It had been a lie and it was something I often did. Even though I loved them all as family and I was sure they returned the favour, I worried about overstaying my welcome, and so I forced myself to leave before they could ask. I didn’t usually stay away for long, certainly not over sixty years, but like I said it was easy for time to pass by when you were a vampire. As soon as I’d become aware of how many years had actually passed, I booked myself a flight from London to Washington—just because I hadn’t seen them face to face, I’d still kept in touch via letters. They liked to joke that I was stuck in the nineteenth century due to my preferred method of communication, but I didn’t care—writing letters felt more intimate to me. In Edward’s last letter he mentioned that his family were living in a small town known as Forks in Washington—I’d been there the last time they’d settled in that particular town. As I drove my rented car to their house I idly wondered if there were still any werewolves around for them to keep the treaty with. I supposed I’d have my answer soon enough.
I felt a sense of familiarity wash over me as I passed the “Welcome to Forks” sign and I sensed a wave of security wrap around me like a soft blanket as I caught the familiar sent that would lead me to my family. I’d truly missed them, and I swore right there and then that I wouldn’t let so much time pass without visiting again.
It didn’t take me long to reach the familiar but updated mansion in the middle of the woods—beside some modern improvements it hadn’t changed much and as I stepped out of the vehicle I’d rented I couldn’t help but grin at the memories that washed over me. Teaching Emmett how to hunt. Helping him wrestle with Edward. Shopping trips with Esme and Rose. Playing piano with Edward. Reading with Carlisle.
A happy sigh fell from my lips as I gracefully slung my bag over my shoulder and made my way up the concrete steps. I was about to knock, because even though I knew I was always welcome here I could sense several scents I couldn’t recognise and I didn’t want to alarm anyone, but a rustle of wind caused me to whip around. A grin grew on my face and I dropped my bag by the door before taking off at full speed, following the scent that was so familiar and comforting despite so much time apart. I knew he’d be able to hear my thoughts with more clarity the closer I got, and I thought about manipulating my shield so that I could shock him. But another scent had me thinking better of it—it smelled like he was with a human? I couldn’t be sure because the two scents were so entwined together, but I thought the element of surprise wouldn’t be best if he were with someone I could potentially send into cardiac arrest.
I slowed when I reached the familiar meadow, and I had about two seconds to see him lying next to a very human girl surrounded by grass and flowers before I was suddenly on the ground.
‘Edward!’ It meant to come out as a reprimand, but that was difficult when I was so happy to see him.
‘Y/N!’ He mimicked my tone, pulling me up from the floor and into a fierce hug that I returned with the same enthusiasm, ‘what are you doing here?’
‘I can’t stop by to visit my favourite people?’ I gasped, a mock-offended expression forming on my face but it fell into mirth when he rolled his eyes.
‘Of course you can, you just usually give notice.’ He pointed out, winding an arm around my shoulders as we started to walk. I realised he’d flashed me about fifty feet from the meadow before he’d tackled me and I idly wondered why.
‘I didn’t want to scare Bella.’ He answered my thoughts, ‘she knows what I am, but she’s not met other vampires outside of my family before.’
‘Ah, you’re scared I’m going to bite her.’ I nodded, winking to let him know I was jesting when he looked concerned that I’d taken offence, ‘so you have a girlfriend. I’ll take it that means sex is off the table this time, huh?’
He gave me a look that made me chuckle and after a moment, he joined in.
‘I guess I’ll leave then.’ I sighed, shaking my head in faux disappointment, ‘I only came for a good roll in the sack.’
He playfully shoved me away, laughter on his expression that I’m sure was mirrored in mine.
‘Stop.’ His tone was still light but a seriousness entered his eyes as we approached the edge of the clearing, ‘I haven’t told Bella about you yet, and I don’t want her to get the wrong idea before I’ve had a chance to explain.’
‘It’s not much to explain.’ I shrugged, crossing my arms over my chest, ‘I’m your best friend that you have sex with sometimes.’
His expression became exasperated, ‘I’m not sure she would understand or be satisfied with that explanation.’
‘She should be. I mean, I love you Edward, but I’ve never loved you that way, and neither have you, which is why the whole casual sex thing between us worked so well. We both knew it wasn’t anything more than satisfying our own urges, and it didn’t change anything in our friendship.’ I said, curiously looking over towards the brunette who was patiently waiting for him in the centre of the meadow, the sunlight hitting her face and highlighting the flush on her cheeks.
‘You’re right, I just don’t know how she’ll take that,’ he sighed, tucking his hands into the pockets of the tan leather jacket he was wearing.
‘Well… you don’t have to tell her, I suppose, but then you run the risk of Emmett or Rose making a snide comment around her when they realise I’m back.’ I pursed my lips as I thought it over, ‘you know how they like to tease you, and I’d imagine now you have a girlfriend she would be the perfect pressure point to get your blood boiling. I mean that metaphorically of course.’ I flashed him a grin that he reluctantly returned, ‘I’d be honest with her, Ed. If she finds out somewhere else, it’ll do more damage in the long run—she’ll think you didn’t say anything because it meant more to you than it did blah blah blah. Just be open about it.’
‘You’re right.’ His smile was soft then as he pulled me in for another hug and murmured, ‘I missed you. Don’t stay away so long, okay?’
‘I’m sorry about that, I don’t know where those decades went.’ I shook my head in disbelief as I pulled away, ‘but it won’t happen again, I promise. Now go back to your girl, she’s getting impatient.’ I gestured over to where she was now pacing, ‘I’ll let you introduce me after you’ve given her the information.’
 ‘Thanks, Y/N.’
‘You’re welcome, darling.’ The endearment was a habit I’d picked up in London about a decade ago, and I could see the amusement shining in his eyes before he headed back to Bella.
I turned and ran as soon as he was back to her, figuring he deserved the privacy. Plus, if he was going to tell her about me now, I’d rather not be around encase her reaction wasn’t positive. I mean I’d basically had a “friends with benefits” relationship with her boyfriend for eighty years; I couldn’t exactly blame her if that description didn’t inspire her desire to meet me.
It didn’t take me long to get back to the house and I noted that my bag was no longer where I’d left it as I climbed the steps once again. This time I didn’t think about knocking—I figured my luggage being abandoned on their doorstep was warning enough—so I just walked in.
‘Carlisle? Esme?’ I said, my voice no louder than what I used in a normal conversation. I was about to call out for Rose and Emmett when my arms were suddenly full of a female blonde haired vampire.
‘Y/N! It’s been so long, I’ve missed you so much!’ Rose breathed into my ear as she embraced me—if I’d been human my spine would have been snapped in half at the force she was using, but I returned it tenfold, beyond happy to see her again.
‘I missed you too, Rose.’ I told her, a surprised squeak leaving my lips when we were both suddenly lifted. But when his scent surrounded me I laughed loudly, ‘I forgot how much of a man handling brute you are, Em.’
‘Wow. Back thirty seconds and you’re already pulling out the insults, Y/N?’ He shook his head, a wide grin stretching across his dimpled cheeks, ‘I’m impressed.’
I laughed again, the sounds of two different kinds of wind chimes echoing off the walls, along with a big booming laugh that almost drowned us out.
‘Is that Y/N’s laugh I hear?’ Carlisle’s voice caused Emmett to release Rose and I. As soon as I was back on the ground, I was in my adopted father’s arms, ‘I know you’ve already heard it, but we’ve missed you.’
My eyes glazed over with emotion but I hid it in Carlisle’s chest—if Emmett saw he’d never let me live it down—as I told them how I returned the sentiment in a soft voice. After a few more moments the male blonde vampire released me so that Esme could hold me as well. I’d had to really fight to keep my composure then—the two heads of the coven had become surrogate parents to me, and their embrace always made me feel at home and safe. It was a feeling I’d never experienced anywhere else in the world, and it was something I never took for granted. I appreciated them and their love more than I would ever be able to vocalise, and I was always reminded of that whenever I returned to them.
It took a few moments before I was confident enough that I could speak without making my emotions obvious. When that time came, I pulled away from Esme, smiling when Rose linked an arm through mine and led me to the living room.
‘So what have I missed?’ I asked as I sat in between Rose and Em on the sofa. Carlisle and Esme squeezed together on the loveseat opposite, ‘I’ve noticed the new scents…?’ I trailed off, the question obvious in my tone—new members to the coven hadn’t come up in any of our letters.
‘Yes. Jasper and Alice, they found us actually.’ Carlisle smiled at my surprise, ‘Alice is gifted with visions of the future. When she was turned, she saw the life she would come to have and after picking up Jasper along her way, they found us and have been with us ever since.’
I suspected there was more to the story than that, but I also knew that Carlisle respected everyone’s individual right to their own background. I could feel curiosity burning in my stomach but I ignored it, knowing that the male blonde vampire wouldn’t tell me anything, if I wanted answers I’d have to ask them directly. And that was fine, it was one of the things I respected about Carlisle—he understood the importance behind privacy.
‘That’s amazing. Where are they now?’ I wondered, more than eager to meet the new members of the coven.
‘They’re on a hunting trip. They should be back tomorrow morning.’ Esme smiled and I nodded in response.
We chatted for a little while longer about where I’d been, what I’d seen and why it’d been so long since I’d been back. They seemed to understand that I hadn’t stayed away on purpose, after all they were immortal too; they knew how fickle time could be. But as we caught up I could feel anticipation bubbling up in my gut as I thought about meeting my new family members. I wondered what they would be like, how they would react at my presence—if Alice saw the future did that mean she’d seen me coming? Either way, I was half excited and half anxious over the whole prospect of the introduction. I found myself hoping Edward would be back before then—he was my best friend and he understood me better than anyone, and would therefore help me feel calmer, but I also knew he was a little preoccupied with his human. But that was okay. I was a big girl and it wasn’t like I was being asked to set myself on fire. I was just meeting new people. That’s it. But I couldn’t help but wonder—why was I so nervous?
 //
It was reaching twilight outside when I proposed the idea of hunting. Carlisle and Esme declined as they’d already been out earlier that morning, Rosalie hadn’t but she wasn’t that thirsty, so it was just Emmett and I.
As most things did whenever I was alone with Em, the hunting trip turned into a competition. The one with the biggest kill would be the winner and as we began I felt the swell of excitement vibrate throughout my body. I hadn’t felt this free and slightly childish since I’d left all those decades ago and it was wonderful. Due to the circumstances, the trip didn’t last very long as we both rushed to find the perfect kill. In the end, Emmett won. He managed to take down a deer that was slightly bigger than mine and he was still teasing me about it as we returned to the house.
‘All that time away has really turned you into a softie, huh?’ Em goaded, his hand laying across my shoulders as he squeezed me into his side, ‘too scared to take down the really big ones?’
‘Shut it, brute.’ I rolled my eyes, but the smile on my face told him that I wasn’t really annoyed, ‘this is the first and only time you’ll ever win against me, so I suggest you bask in this fleeting glory.’
He threw his head back, his signature booming laugh echoing off the walls as we entered the mansion. I tried to playfully shove him away, but the force required to break his hold on me would have sent him flying through the wall and I didn’t think Esme would appreciate it. He just pulled me tighter against him and started to ruffle my hair with his other hand.
‘Damn it, Emmett,’ I groaned in irritation and mirth, ‘get off me you heathen!’
I heard a few other laughs join in with Emmett’s and I assumed that meant he’d managed to drag me into the living room—I couldn’t actually see because my hair had fallen around my face like a dark curtain due to his shenanigans.
‘Let her go Emmett.’ Rose chuckled and I breathed a sigh of relief when he complied. I brushed my hair back to where it was supposed to be and sent her a grateful look.
I was just about to ask where Edward was when the sound of two pairs of footsteps approaching the house reached my ears.
‘Sounds like they’re back,’ Esme smiled and stood from her seat on the couch to greet them.
Carlisle came to stand beside me, a hand on my shoulder and I shot him a grateful smile when I realised he could sense my growing anxiety. My breath ceased when they entered. Alice was small and graceful; her pixie hair cut making her look like a delicate fairy rather than a deadly vampire. Here eyes were golden and the excitement shining in them answered my earlier wonderment—she had seen me coming. But it wasn’t her that made my whole body feel like it was burning in the most pleasant way possible. It wasn’t her scent that made a tidal wave wash over me, leaving behind a feeling of warmth and security. Being on the other end of her gaze didn’t make my knees feel weak and my breath quicken.
The vampire responsible for all of these reactions was stood beside Alice, his curious golden gaze on mine. His hair was blonde, wavy and cut to just below his jawline. His skin was covered in scars, all in the shape of teeth and the different sizes indicated they were from multiple assailants rather than just one. I wanted to know the stories behind each of them, I wanted to trace them with my fingertips and erase any painful memories with my touch.
I shook my head, shaking away my wondering thoughts—what the hell was happening? I’d never had this kind of reaction upon meeting someone new before—like a connection had instantly been formed without a word needing to be spoken. It was odd. It was crazy. I took a deep, unnecessary breath and forced a smile.
‘It’s nice to meet you both. I’m Y/N, but I have a feeling at least one of you already knew that,’ I teased, winking at Alice’s knowing look.
The small girl chuckled and bounded forward, wrapping her arms around me and murmuring, ‘we’re going to be great friends, Y/N!’
‘I don’t doubt it.’ I assured her, my nerves dissipating momentarily in her bubbly presence.
When she pulled away and stepped to the side I felt my nerves return as I made eye contact with Jasper. He appeared to be concentrating on something and a moment later I felt a sense of calm spread throughout my body, that only seemed to strengthen as I took in a lungful of his scent.
‘Nice to meet you, Y/N.’ I had to fight to keep my eyes open at the sound of his voice—it was strong, husky and carried a hint of a southern drawl that made me want to groan. How was it possible for me to be this affected by him?
‘Nice to meet you.’ I managed a small but sincere smile that he returned. I had to force myself to look away, lest my breath stop again because of his beauty.
I didn’t understand what was going on, but I did know that I needed some air. I couldn’t take an inhalation without breathing in his scent and that wasn’t helping me clear my head. That was making me want to leap into his arms and never leave. I wondered if his touch would make me feel as safe as his scent did, but I banished that thought as soon as it appeared.
‘I’m going to get some air.’ I said, hoping they didn’t detect the tremor in my voice as I flashed out of the house without waiting for a response.
I made my way to the meadow I’d found Edward in earlier—it was a place we’d both discovered in the five years I’d spent with the family in Forks before I’d moved on. I remembered the night we’d found it—we were supposed to be hunting, but once we wondered upon this clearing we’d both had to stop for a moment and take in the beauty of it. It had been a clear night, allowing the moon and stars to shine through. Eventually Edward decided to leave but I’d stayed and stared up at the beautiful sky until morning; I’d always found something soothing about the moon and stars.
Unfortunately tonight was cloudy, but that was more common than clear in Forks. But I lay back anyway, my eyes fluttering closed as I appreciated the soft breeze that blew through the flowers and grass, heightening the scents of the grass and flowers around me. My stress and anxiety had sky rocketed ever since I’d left the mansion, but being here and surrounded by nature helped quell it a little. Or at least, just enough so that I could think.
It was interesting—now that I was alone, it was easier to separate my reaction to Jasper from the feelings of lunacy and foolishness that immediately followed. I suspected it was because having no one else around helped me separate it from reality, and so acknowledging the strength of my feelings didn’t make me feel idiotic or crazy. Instead it was easy to pretend that the way I suddenly felt connected to the blonde was normal. Even now as I lay in the centre of the rounded clearing, I was aware of the pull I felt towards him, like an invisible string now connected us together and urged me to return to his presence. That realisation should have resulted in the return of my earlier feelings, but instead I felt a wave of reassurance, as if that were completely natural.
I had no idea what was going on, but I didn’t feel any urgency to question it in that moment. I sighed happily as the pull eased, and it took me longer than it should have to realise why that was happening. I’d been so lost in my thoughts that I hadn’t heard his approach, but his scent wrapped around me like a soft, warm blanket. As soon as I’d caught a whiff, I’d sat up, my spine straight as I focused my hearing to determine what direction he was going to come from. But apparently, my reactions had really been slow, because by the time I’d sat up, he’d reached the meadow.
I took another deep breath, attempting to use the security that washed over me with his scent to provide me with the courage I needed to meet his eyes. But I chickened out and allowed my gaze to linger on the blue denim that covered his legs. I could appreciate the muscle definition even through the denim and the wish to see them not covered in fabric suddenly sprang up in my mind. I shook my head to clear it and noticed he’d sat down, crossed legged about three feet in front of me.
‘Hey, Jasper,’ I didn’t speak very loudly, wanting to keep my voice light, but it wasn’t as if he would have to strain to pick up my words, ‘what’s up?’
‘I was going to ask you the same thing. Why did you leave like that?’ he frowned and the sadness in his voice caused me to look into his eyes, ‘do you not want me?’
‘W-what are you talking about?’ I stuttered, had I really been that transparent in my attraction to him?
‘You’re my mate.’ He said as if it were the simplest thing in the world, ‘I thought you realised that when I felt your reaction to my presence.’
My head was suddenly swimming with the information I’d just been given. Jasper was my mate? A sigh of relief fell from my lips, if that were the case then it all made sense. My sudden onslaught of feelings, the safeness, the security, and the attraction—I’d observed all of those characteristics as they appeared between Rose and Em. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t realised it sooner, and I was suddenly overwhelmed with such a strong bought of joy. I had found my mate. I’d never truly believed that would happen for me, that I would be lucky enough to find the person that completed me, that completed my soul.
A sound of surprise fell from Jasper’s lips as I leaped into his arms, causing him to fall backwards; my arms wrapped around his neck and my face fit perfectly into the crook of his neck as I inhaled is scent. I felt his arms wrap around my waist and he used it as leverage to pull me tighter against him. A contented sound fell from both of us and if I hadn’t been so relaxed I would’ve laughed at the simultaneous action.
‘I’m sorry I ran.’ I murmured, my left hand trailed down to his chest and played with the buttons on his blue shirt, ‘I didn’t know what was happening, and feeling so much for you so soon made me feel like I was going crazy.’
A chuckle fell from his mouth as he kissed my forehead, the gesture creating a surge of electricity to surge throughout my body.
‘It’s okay, I understand. If Alice hadn’t told me that I was going to meet my mate soon, I probably would have felt the same way.’ He assured me, his southern drawl becoming thicker as he spoke. I wondered if it was because he was relaxed, because we were alone, or a mixture of the two. Either way it sparked a bolt of arousal and I closed my eyes in an attempt to supress it.
‘What did you mean before when you said you senses my reaction to you?’ I wondered as the conversation replayed through my mind.
‘I can sense and influence the emotions of others.’ He said, his cool breath caressing the side of my face. I sighed at the warmth it left behind.
‘That sounds really… overwhelming.’ I pursed my lips as I contemplated that—it was similar to Edward’s gift in a way. Always having everyone’s emotions or thoughts just constantly buzzing in the back of your mind must have been irritating.
‘It was at first, but over the years I’ve learned to control it,’ his hand moved through my hair as he spoke, ‘sometimes it’s difficult, especially if I’m thirsty, but for the most part I’m used to it.’
I nodded as best as I could with my head resting on his chest—I could relate to what he meant a little, and I told him so as I explained my abilities to him. I was a shield, which meant I had the ability to cast a shield around my mind or body, depending on the kind of attack I was facing. Edward had originally thought he couldn’t read my mind when we’d first met, only to be completely shocked when I’d felt comfortable enough to drop my mental shields around the family. For the most part I had control over when I would wield it, but if I were ever taken by surprise or felt threatened it would come forward and protect me.
‘Is it visible?’ he asked, curiosity shining in his tone.
‘It can be. It depends on whether I want people to know I’m using it or not.’ I said, rearranging our position so that he was sitting crossed legged again and I was I his lap, ‘I’ll show you.’
I sent him an excited smile before I closed my eyes, concentrating as I willed my shield to wrap around us like a bubble. I felt the light on my face as it glowed bright blue, illuminating the meadow we were in. Jasper’s gasp of wonder made me smile and I pictured my shield rising off the ground by a few feet before I opened my eyes. I expected him to be looking at the glowing shield that surrounded us, and my breath caught when his golden eyes were fixed on me. I’d never been on the receiving end of a look so potent with adoration and awe.
We moved together without thought, our lips meeting in a tender kiss that quickly became vigorous with passion. I had no idea if my shield was still keeping us afloat, but I didn’t care—a meteor could have hit the earth in that moment and I wouldn’t have noticed. I was completely overwhelmed with him; his intoxicating scent that was both sweet and spicy, his touch that was soft and smooth against mine, and his own skin that remained smooth despite the ridges that I felt as my hands slid down his arms. The moment was perfect and as our lips moved together as if we’d kissed a thousand times before, I couldn’t help the feeling of gratitude that joined all of the other emotions swirling throughout my body. Because I’d actually found him. My mate. My other half. And I was never going to take him for granted, because this connection, this kind of love, was a gift.
 //
Epilogue: one year later, coming up to the newborn battle in Eclipse.
‘Honestly, the trouble that your mate attracts is astounding, Ed.’ I teased, twisting my body and allowing my arms to spin in circles like a child. I had to get the nervous energy out somehow—we’d all gathered for Jasper to train us on the best way to fight newborns successfully.
I was excited to fight and nervous to potentially watch my mate get hurt, even though I knew that wasn’t likely—he was the most experienced in combat after all.
‘You don’t have to tell me,’ Edward rolled his eyes, recognising that I was only jesting.
A few of us chuckled when Bella smacked his shoulder and frowned when she ended up hurting herself.
‘She’s going to have more anger issues than you when she’s turned, Y/N.’ Emmett teased, his booming laugh echoing around the trees as I flipped him off.
We all tensed as the footsteps of the approaching pack reached our ears. Ten of them stepped out of the shadows and I wrinkled my nose as their scent invaded the clearing. My eyes narrowed at the sound of their growling and I couldn’t help the invisible shield that expanded from me to cover my family. I stepped forward to stand beside Jasper, my fingers entwining with his protectively.
‘Hey there darling,’’ he smirked, the southern drawl coating his words wonderfully.
I didn’t answer; instead I rested my head on his shoulder, knowing he could feel my anxiety already. I took a deep breath, comforted as his scent washed over me. I wished I could bury my head in his chest—I knew his arms would make me feel completely content—but I restrained myself, as it obviously wasn’t the time.
‘They don’t trust us enough to be in their human forms.’ Edward translated from where he was stood behind Jasper and I.
I rolled my eyes, sure to keep my shield in place—if they didn’t trust us then I sure as hell wasn’t going to trust them.
‘I have a shield around us all,’ I murmured in Jasper’s ear, my volume low enough that the words stayed between us—and Edward seeing as he could read our thoughts—the blonde’s eyes met mine, his dark eyes shone with affection and assurance. I sent him a wink before we both turned to watch as the meeting officially began.
Carlisle stepped forward, his behaviour calm and inviting, ‘welcome. Jasper here has some experience fighting newborns; therefore he can show us the most successful and efficient ways of defeating them.’
‘They wanna know how newborns are different from us.’ Edward said, his tone lower than how he usually spoke as he relayed the wolves words.
‘They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life.’ Our leader answered, looking over at the blonde next to me and nodding at him to continue.
Jasper squeezed my hand and stepped forward, turning his back to the wolves without hesitation and addressing his family directly. I noticed one of the wolves take a step forward at the sight of him being vulnerable and I bit back a growl, knowing we were all safe even if they did try to attack.
‘Carlisle is right. That's why they are created. A newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them. The two most important things to remember are, first—never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. The second—never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose. Emmett? Don't hold back.’ Jasper smirked, gesturing for the curly haired vampire to come forward.
They faced off and Emmett grinned, ‘not in my nature.’
I bit my lip, folding my arms over my chest as I tried to force myself to stay still. Seeing your mate fighting—even against someone you considered family—was something I still struggled to witness. I don’t know how the others handled it, but I assumed it was something that would get better with time.
Emmett went to charge towards the blonde haired vampire and I winced, my hands moving to cover my eyes involuntarily. I waited for the sound that would indicate they’d crashed together but it didn’t come. I was confused, but unwilling to look until I knew the coast was clear.
‘Y/N?’ Jasper’s voice sounded amused and I couldn’t help but drop my hands to see what had caused it.
If I were still capable of blushing I was sure my face would be bright red in that moment—Emmett was surrounded by a separate shield that glowed an angry red and had lifted him ten feet off the ground. I’d seen my shield appear to protect me when I felt threatened, but this was the first time it’d reacted to save someone I cared about being in danger.
‘Do you think you could release Emmett?’ Jasper asked, mirth still present in his voice.
I bit my lip to hide my smile as I slowly lowered the curly haired brunette before retracting the shield, ‘sorry about that.’
I sheepishly stepped back, hoping that if I weren’t so close it would mean I wouldn’t be as tempted to interfere. My arm linked through Rose’s and I ignored her smirk and focused my attention on the front. I hadn’t realized how protective I could be until I’d met Jasper and if he didn’t return the sentiment just as strongly as I did, I would have felt awful about it.
Emmett was charging forward with brute strength, but Jasper was moving too fast for him to catch. He kept trying, but his hands met air, and Jasper managed to catch him by surprise and throw him to the ground. The curly haired vampire attempted to retaliate but Jasper disappeared and re-appeared behind him, his teeth an inch from his throat. I smiled, amused and a little aroused by Jasper’s abilities to gain the upper hand so quickly.
He gestured for me to come forward and I laughed when I saw he was paring me with Edward—he knew I’d bring up my mental defenses to prevent the mind reader from having the upper hand. While the bronze haired vampire was the fastest in our coven, I was the stealthiest and evaded his grasps easily. Though I had a little too much fun letting him think he had me in his grasp, only to move away at the last second. Eventually I put an end to it, leaping onto his back, my teeth an inch from his throat.
‘Got you.’ I smirked and jumped down, playfully shoving his shoulder as we moved out of the way to make room for the next pair.
‘Not so good without your parlor trick, Ed.’ I laughed when he shoved me three feet away from him, his eyes rolling when Jasper growled warningly.
We fell further back and watched as the other pairs fought and I found myself much more relaxed now that Jasper settled into his role of instructor. He watched the others and offered pointers to help their stance, and didn’t lead another demonstration. Eventually we reached the end of the session, and I could see Edward’s relief as Bella was practically passed out against his side.
‘They want to know if you’d allow them closer to take in our scents. It’ll make it easier to avoid confusion during the battle.’ Edward said, his arm tightening around his human’s waist the sleepier she got.
 ‘Very well.’ Carlisle agreed.
Jasper came to stand beside me and I dropped my shield with a sigh, not wanting to create any tension if they tried to step towards us only to be stopped by an invisible barrier. It was incredibly hard not to flinch as each werewolf stopped in front of each of us, tentatively sniffing before moving on. I understood that werewolves were people and I didn’t resent them because of their species or because it was in my “DNA” to despise them. I was on edge because I was aware of how much they resented all vampires. I’d heard plenty from them since we’d returned to Forks a few months ago, and I hated it. But they were helping us here, so I forced down my unease, which was a lot easier with Jasper by my side.
Being loved by the blonde vampire made me feel an abundance of feelings. In that moment I was aware of how he made me feel powerful, confident and protected, so much so that the wolves passed by without me even noticing. As we made our way back to the mansion, running hand in hand, I realized why I’d been so calm about the upcoming battle. Even before the wolves offered their help when us winning wasn’t certain, I hadn’t been afraid, because I knew I’d have Jasper by my side throughout the battle and after.
As long as I had my mate by my side, there wasn’t anything that we would have to face alone. And there wasn’t anything that would survive trying to hurt us or our family.

Grayson had always been mature for his age, taking every shocking thing that came his way with stride. So, when his girlfriend, Evelyn, of three years became pregnant with his child the beginning of their senior year, he promised himself he would be a better father than his had been for him. A father that their child deserved. His life had of course grown more complicated given the baby that grew more and more day by day, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Of course he was terrified. Terrified of not being enough, terrified of what this meant for not only his future, but Evelyn’s as well. That didn’t stop him from being excited at the end of the day. Deep down, he knew that this was what he was made for, the instinct of being a parent seemingly being born inside of him. So, when the day came that the contractions started, he had felt as prepared as possible, despite the butterflies filling his stomach. He had held her hand throughout the entire labor, her squeezing so hard that he was sure she would end up braking something.
The cry of his son as he entered the world made him the happiest he had ever been in his life. And then everything else shattered around him. Everything was seemingly fine, until the bleeding wouldn’t stop. So much blood. Something was horribly wrong, that much was obvious, and the panic began to set in. There was nothing he could do, but sit back and pray to whatever god there was that the doctor would be able to save her. In the end, his prayers weren’t enough, and what had been the happiest day of his life had quickly also become the worst.
So as he sat there, on the plush worn out cushions of his mother’s couch, just days after loosing the love of his life, he stared into the beautiful eyes of his child. The same eyes that he had gotten from his mother, and he allowed himself to feel the pain of her loss. The pain that left a gaping hole in his chest. Tears pricked at his eyes as he attempted to blink them away, but if there was one thing that he knew now to be true of grief is that it demanded to be felt.
Despite the help his mother had been giving him in his time of need, the same mother who had raised him single handedly, he felt utterly alone in that moment. His heart ached so badly his whole body was sore as he realized that the beautiful child in his arms would never know just how wonderful his own mother had been. He would never feel the warmth of his mothers embrace, never feel the touch of her kiss on his forehead, and the thought sent his brimming tears over the edge.
The big blue eyes of his son blinked up at him curiously as he eyed his father. Footsteps trailed into the room, a soft hand landing on his shoulder, flinching back as she felt the heat radiating off of his skin. “Why don’t you get some fresh air, Gray? You seem a little overheated.” She suggested, concern coating her voice as she gently took the baby from his arms, ushering him towards the back door.
Grayson nodded, sniffling slightly as he moved forward, attempting to wipe the tears away as he pushed his body numbly to the door. A cool summer breeze blew through his hair as he shut the door behind himself, sucking in a shaky breath. The grief stabbed him in the chest, finally having been by himself long enough to feel all of the emotions he had been bottling up since her death. How was he expected to do this alone? Why her? She didn’t deserve to die, why was this world so cruel as to take her away from him?
An agonizing sob left his lips, the memory of her smile running through his mind.  A smile he would only ever see again on their son. Sudden anger flooded his heart, anger at whoever had taken the woman he had loved so dearly. Red hot pain seared through every inch of his being as something ripped inside of him. Fire raced across his skin, muscles tearing and growing back together all at once in a moment in time. Seconds morphed into hours of unbearable obliterating pain, before, almost like nothing happened at all, the pain vanished. It had taken a moment to realize anything had actually changed as his eyes trailed down to the ground that was occupied by a very large pair of paws nestled in the tall grass surrounding him, the white fur a stark contrast in the dark green landscape. The anger he had felt just moments ago vanished as it was quickly replaced by shock.
“Don’t panic.” A voice rung through his mind. A voice he recognized. His eyes shot up to the large black wolf in front of him, knowing almost instantly who the figure was. Memories of the Quileute legends rushed through his mind as he realized that despite having learned the stories himself, the memories had been coming from the other wolf, seeing himself as a child within those memories.
Suddenly everything was clear. It was all real, everything, and Sam was right there in front of him, explaining it all. They had grown up together, cousins on his mother’s side, spending hours upon hours together as children, so when the words had come from him, it had fairly quickly calmed the panic that had previously held a tight grip on his chest.
So much had changed in so little time, it was almost as if he had reached his peek. So many emotions had been filling his heart in the past weeks that hearing that the legends were not only real, but included him didn’t set his world on its’ side like it should have. Vampires were real and the fact should have terrified him, but instead, knowing it gave him a sense of purpose. It was his job now to protect his child from the cold blooded monsters and he would be damned if he didn’t put every ounce of effort into doing so.
As the months went on, the pack grew, along with the danger of the blood suckers around them. His newly found brothers created the strongly knit support system that he needed to cope through Evelyn’s death, and even though he knew he would never truly get over the loss that had left a gaping hole in his heart, he would try his best to be okay. To be the father that his son needed. To be the protection that he needed from the evil in this world, because there was no way in hell that he would ever let anything harm him.

the death of me
Esme Cullen x fem child of the moon reader
@rexburn12
asked for a child of the moon reader who moves to fork the same time Bella does, and teaches at the high school. she smells Esme on one of the Cullen kids and imprints. and the same goes for Esme.
A/n I'm sorry this took me so long, I was burnt out and couldn't bring myself to write anything, even though I thought about this story and my other unfinished story’s the entire time. I hope you like it. PS I don’t know how to write werewolf character’s and I have no clue what teachers are like.
(Y/n) POV
'Just perfect... My first day teaching and I'm late.' You think to yourself, locking your front door. 'My first class starts in 14 minutes, if I speed a should make it there 2 minutes before the bell.' I think, groaning. Frantically pressing the unlock button on your car key, you jog down the sidewalk towards you car.
"Morning Miss (L/n), shouldn't you be at the school?" Your neighbor Charlie Swan asks. "Yes. I overslept." You say, stopping. You look at him, embarrassed.
"Well, i wont tell anyone." He laughs. 'Oh right, he was telling me yesterday, some towns people could be a little judgemental of newcomers' you smile appreciatively, heading towards your car again. "hey, my daughter, Bella. just start today, she a junior." Charlie says, he goings to continue but you beat him to it.
"I'll keep an eye on her." You promise. He nods his thanks. You smile, getting in your car.
You sit down at your desk, letting out a sigh. You made it a minute before a first bell rung. You don't really need to prepare anything, all you're doing today is roll call, so you can put faces to names and giving the kids a quiz just to see how far they've gotten and what they'll need help with in the future. The quiz in no way effects they're grades.
The bell rings. Students start entering the class room, taking they're seats. As they do, you get up and write your name in a dry erase board.
Once the last student enters, the door shuts behind them. You take a deep breathe. 'Here we go again' you think, then turn to the class.
"Morning, class." You get a few "mornings" back along with a few groans from the kids who aren’t awake yet.
"As you can see on the board my name is (Y/f/n)." You say, glancing around the class room before continuing. "I'm not going to give that speech all the other young teachers give. You're all Basically adults, you know how you should act in class." I finish saying, and stare at a boy who's been whispering to his friend about the new girl. 'Bella' you think as you continue to stare at him till his friend nudges him and he look straight into your eyes. He mumbles a "sorry" and starting paying attention.
You sigh "I'm not a mean teacher, I just think it's annoying when I'm teaching and someone thinks NOW, is the best time to talk about a girl." His friends starts laughing, while he starts turning red, and shrink down in his seat.
After the class laughs for a second, you apologize to him for singling him out and continue.
"Since its my first day, we're going to do two things. I'm going to call your names so I can put faces to the names on this list I have." You gesture to a piece of paper in hold.
"Then I'm going to hand out these quizzes so I can see where you're all at." Everybody groans at that. "I know, I know, I suck. Put this in no way affect your grades, but please try your hardest." You finish up the telling them what we're doing and go to lean on front of my desk, holding the piece of paper.
"Lets see... Katie Bell?" You say, looking up from the paper. A girl in the front says "Here." You smile at the girl then look at the next persons name.
"Alice Cullen?" You say, glancing around the room. "Here." A girl says, smiling at you. You freeze. Just for a second in real time but felt like forever to you. 'No' you think as you stare at this pale girl. 'No, there's no way. She wouldn't be in a school if it were true. Her eyes aren't red and she's not wearing contacts.' You snap out of it.
Quickly reading the next name on the list. "Edward Cullen." You say, and gulp. You look up, scanning the room for the boy who's name you just read. You see Alice kick the boy sitting next to her. You look at him to find him staring at you. More like glaring really. He has the same pale skin color as his sister. Another harder kick from Alice makes him snap out of it and answer "Here." He grunts.
You continue reading off names. Trying not to worry. Finally you've figured out everyone's names.
You then grabs the pile of papers from my desk. Normal you'd just hand them to a kid in the front to pass out but you need to get closer to the two Cullen. You need to know for sure.
You start walking don't the Isles passing our the quizzes. You started at the other side of the room to not look too suspicious. Finally getting over to them hand them they're papers. You inhale, and almost growl. You glance at Alice to see her trying to hold back a choking sound.
You quickly give out the rest of the papers and sit done at your desk quietly gasping for clean Air. You cough trying to clear your throat. You look up at the student's all of them waiting for you to tell them they can begin.
"Okay, when you've finish you may quietly play with your phone or read or whatever. you just can't leave till the bell. May you begin." You say, looking at everyone except the two pale kids in the back.
As the hour slowly ticks by, you keep glancing over at the Cullen's. Always looking away before you get caught. You noticed the finished there quizzes before anyone else and are now quietly talking amongst themselves. You don't even try to listen in on them, your too much in you're head to focus.
Finally the bell rings, students start grabbing there stuff and heading up to the desk to hand they're quizzes in. You take them, with a smile. saying goodbye to them as they pass.
The room slowly starts to clear out. Realizing the Cullen are in the back on the line of kids handing in they're papers. The smells a death getting stronger the fewer kids there are.
They finally get up to my desk, Edward puts the paper on your desk and leaves not without giving you a weird look before he does so. You watch him storm off, but the smell is still as strong as ever. Remember Alice is still here, you turn back to her quickly. She's standing there. Smiling, holding out her paper for you to take.
You do so, never breaking eye contact. You were the only people in the classroom. After a few seconds Alice flashes you a big smile then leaves.
'What an odd girl' you think shaking your head.
The rest of the day went by pretty fast. Only have three more problem through out the day. The names of these problems were Emmet, Jasper and Rosalie.
Five vampires at the school, that might become an even bigger problem soon. If they live in forks, you might run into them during a full moon. and that will end really badly for either them or yourself.
As you pack up to go home you hear a knock at the class room door. "Come in!" You yell, not looking up from the papers you're packing away.
The door opens and you don't even need to know who just walked in now, the smell of death hits you. It's getting easier to look past the smell though, you can tell that the Vampire that just walk in was Alice. You can smell her natural scent, lavender.
"How can I help you, Miss Cullen?" You say, finally looking up.
"Jasper left his coat in here"
"Ah yes, he ran out as soon as the bell rung."
You glance over at Jasper Hale's seat. There his jacket sat. Alice going to grab it. You finish grabbing your things, and walk to the door.
You open it and wait for Alice to grab the jacket and leave the classroom before you turn off the lights. Alice practically skips back over to you, now holding the jacket. You hold the door open for her, as she passes you're hit with a smell so strong your knees go weak and you have to grip the door for support.
You faintly hear Alice ask what was wrong, but you couldn't even look up at her let alone respond. Everything felt so never wrong yet so right. You've never felt something so powerful come over you before.
All you know is whomever that scent belongs too, will be the death of you, and you'll welcome it happily.
Just as quickly as it started it was over, you stand up right. Taking deep breaths, you look at Alice.
She's standing there, completely confused. You take another breath before saying as calmly as you can. "I'm fine. I'll see you tomorrow Miss Cullen." You try to say it as dismissively as possible, in hope she'll leave. She does think a quick goodbye before she turns and walks down the hall.
Wasting no time, you turn the lights off, lock the door and leave.
Esme's POV
"Esme! We're home." You hear Alice say from the front door. You smile, and walk down stairs to see your children.
"Hi, how was school? I heard you were getting a new teacher today." You say, watch as the kids strip off they're coats and hang them up.
"It's was fine. The teacher is definitely different." Emmet says, and walks off to do his own things.
"She stinks if you ask me." Rosalie says, smirking at some hidden joke you don't understand. But Jasper chuckles.
You're about to ask why when you notice.
"Where's Edward?" You asks, looking around confused. The three kids in the room stop what they're doing. No one makes eye contact.
As panic starts to set in, you ask again. "Where's Edward?"
Alice is the first to speak up. "He had a problem with a new girl at school. He almost lost control today, so he left."
Sadness overwhelms you. Thinking about how Edward must feel, almost loosing himself, feeling the need to run.
"Where did be go?" You ask, but you're met with no answer. No one knew where he went.
A tear rolls down your cheek. You wipe it away. Rosalie hugs you, and you hold her tight not wanting to loose another kid.
Eventually you let her go, feeling calmer than a minute ago. You know Jasper's the reason for your calmness. You thank him and he nods. Rosalie and him head into the next room, leaving you with Alice.
She doesn't waste a second, hugging you. When she does, you smell something, you gag. But then something strong hits your senses. And all you can do is smile.
"Who's the wolf?" You ask, Pulling away from Alice. still smiling.
"Our new teacher. She's nice, once you get past the smell." Alice says, Then she spaces out. You of course know what’s happening. You wait for her vision to end, hoping it's a good one.
When Alice focuses again, she says "oh" and smirks at you. "You should probably go to the school to tell the principal, Edward won't be back for awhile." She winks and leaves.
(Y/n)'s POV
You stand and the copier in the school office prints out permission slips for an upcoming school trip, drinking your fourth cup of coffee this morning.
You were up all night going over everything from yesterday. Vampires. Imprinting. Imprinting on a Vampire. Oh god your head hurts.
The nice lady at the front desk starts up a conversation while you wait for the copier to be done. Town gossip, who's who. The usual. There's always someone like her, everywhere you go, every new life you live.
She's in the middle of talking about her son, a senior here, when the door to the office opens. While she deals with whoever it is that walk in a turn back to my task at hand.
"Hello, I'm here to inform you, my son, Edward Cullen. Won't be able to attend school for awhile. He has family matters out of town."
You overhear and freeze. You drop your thankfully empty mug. It doesn't break but it does make a loud enough sound that you're sure both women in the room are now looking at you. You bend down to pick it up, muttering a 'Sorry'.
As you grab it, you glance up at the two women in the room. And your eyes meet golden brown ones, the feeling from yesterday comes rushing back full force. It takes everything in you not to growl. You tear your eyes away, and turn around again. You grip the copier until your knuckles turn white. You want nothing more than too hold her and never let her go. You can't focus on the conversation still happening behind you.
A beep on the copier signals it's done, you pick up the stack of papers. Taking a deep breath and turning around, you notice the conversations coming to close so you linger, waiting. You wait until she leaving before making your way out of the office too.
She knows you were waiting. It's clear in her eyes when she glances over at you before turning towards the door. Your feet move on they're own, following her. You'd follow her anywhere.
She holds the door open for you. "Thank you." You say, entering into the empty Hall.
"Not a problem." She says, entering right behind you. and you almost trip over your own feet. She grabs your arm before you fall flat on your face. The stack of paper's slipping from your grip and scattering all over the floor.
She bends down and starts picking them up, you drop to your knees as well. "I'm sorry, I'm normally not so clumsy." You apologize, sweeping the paper into a messy pile.
"It's alright dear, we all have are moments." She says, handing me all the papers she collected. You take them, saying "Thank you." You look up catching her staring. You blush, you want nothing more than to look anywhere else, but you can't pry your eyes away.
She seems to be having the same problem. She's smiling at me, it's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. Finally she stands up, holding her hand out to help me up. You scoop all the papers into one arm and take her hand. She pulls you up until your standing, a little too close together to be appropriate if caught by a student or teacher. You don't move away, and neither does she.
"Esme Cullen, and you are?" She says, still holding onto your hand. Something your both aware of, and still make no move to correct it.
"Its nice to meet you, Miss Cullen. I'm (Y/f/n). You say, giving her.. Esme a sweet smile.
Her own smile widens, showing her sharp teeth. You would have thought you'd feel threatened, but you aren’t. in fact, you're calmer right now than you've been in awhile. You bite your lip.
"Please, call me Esme." Esme says, staring at your mouth. You blush again, Esme breaking eye contact helps you get control of yourself again. you take one step away from her, just far enough to keep the conversation going without anyone being curious about the close proximity.
You clear your throat, before responding. "Okay Esme, as long as you call me (Y/n)."
"Of course. (Y/n)." Esme says, smiling again. You go weak hearing her say your name. And by the look she's giving you, she knows it.
Suddenly you remember. It's first period. You need to get back to your class room. You glance at the clock on the hall. Esme follows your eye, she frowns at the time.
You look back at her to tell her you have to go, but she takes a step forward, smiling. She leans into your ear and whispers. "I'll be see you soon, goodbye (Y/n)." She press a soft kiss to your cheek then steps back, turns and walking down the hall.
You just lean against the lockers for a little bit until you can't see her anymore. You sigh, and think to yourself
'She'll be the death of me.'

Imagine Leah Imprinting and Rosalie Finding her Mate, You, a Lion Shifter
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title:  The Lion, The Wolf, and the Vampire
Pairing: Leah Clearwater x Male!Reader x Rosalie Hale Cullen
Request By: @rexburn12 (Song Imagine)
(A/N: So sorry for the late imagine request, I hope y’all like it!!)
It started with a hum, that turned into a whisper, until the whisper couldn’t be contained as it was. The whisper became notes that carried in the air, light like a feather but longing as they floated along.
“I found a love...for me”
Almost inaudible to all ears that were around the bonfire, two individuals heads had perked up at the haunting voice.
Every year as a way to celebrate the birth Renesmee, The Cullens, Jacob, Seth and Leah would have annual bonfire on The Cullen land. Why a bonfire? Well some of the Cullen’s, specifically a certain blonde and pixie cut Cullen, couldn’t stand the smell of lingering wolf shifter in the main house. Also, a certain wolf shifter, who had to be there because of them being the Alpha’s Beta, didn’t want to step foot into the Cullen’s house. So as a compromise for all parties, they would have a birthday bonfire for the half human-vampire child.
“Darling just dive right in”
There it was again. Rosalie looked around bonfire trying to find the direction the voice came from.
“Did you hear that?” Rosalie uttered talking to no one specially, but Bella was the first to pick up what she said.
“Hear what?” questioned Bella.
“And follow my lead” sang a voice, almost like the call of a siren.
“That,” Rosalie spun in the direction of East, “There’s something out there”
Everyone looked over concerned at Rose, if something was going to happen wouldn’t have Alice seen it and warned all of them. All the Cullens were silent for a minute trying to detect a sound or a scent that roamed around the woods but detected nothing.
“I’m not making this up,” Rosalie announced to the group frustrated that they couldn’t hear what she was witnessing. Bella placed her hand on Renesmee’s shoulder in worry that something was coming to threaten her family.
“Blondie is right, I can hear it,” piped Leah from the other side of the campfire confused that she was the only other one hearing it too, “and smell it.”
Seth placed a hand on her arm worried about his sister.
Leah looked over to Rosalie in surprise with a dash of distaste. After all, the Cullen’s and Bella were the main reason why they attracted that psychotic red headed vampire that killed her father, Harry. So why in the hell was she starting to hear the things the blonde bloodsucker was hearing, unlike the rest of the group she thought.
“Well, I found a girl,”
Rosalie could hear the voice again, it was masculine by the sound of the tone and the pitch. The male voice was captivating and soulful as it rang through the night, not disturbing the nightlife but acting as one of the many sounds that belonged with it.
“Is everything alright Aunt Rosie?” Renesmee asked Rosalie, innocently tugging on her sleeve.
“I don’t know my little snowflake”
In Renesmee’s first years of life, Rosalie would tend to look after her the most besides Edward and Bella. She gave her many nicknames over the years but two that stood the test of time were sweetheart and little snowflake.
 “Beautiful and Sweet”
“Ms. Clearwater, would you be able to track the scent for us? Carlisle asked Leah, who nodded still distracted by the voice, “Bella I think you should take Renesmee back to the house, the rest of us will go look for what is out there”
Bella collected Renesmee into her arms before taking her back to the Cullen house instead of Edward and her’s small cottage. It would be safer there. In the years that came after the initial ‘immortal child’ incident, Renesmee hadn’t really changed the age of her look. The growth spurt she first had was so impactful that the next one’s would very slowly come and catch up eventually. She looked the same from the time of the incident because her internal clock was still catching up with her body and when it would she’d start to age appropriately like a normal human.
“I never knew you were someone waiting for me,” the singing was now getting further away, like it was traveling in the opposite direction of them.
They needed to follow it now or else it would be gone forever Rosalie felt the panic within her as the singing was getting quieter. Leah felt the same thing coursing through her self too.
Without another thought or the go ahead of anyone else, Leah ran towards the direction of the voice and turned, letting out her giant white wolf form. She needed to find it before it was too late, and no one else was going to slow her down. Not even a second later, Rosalie followed in pursuit.
Meanwhile across the woodland, you had your duffel bag in hand mindlessly passing through the territory on your way to Seattle. You had wanted a change of scenery from hiding in the rocky mountains in British Columbia and wanted to return home to Nevada. Seattle was going to just be a pit stop on the way.
You decided to take the scenic route and stop by in the Olympic National forest to hunt. It was better this way to hunt here than in the city or any town, plus you didn’t want to attract attention in this state being who you are. If the locals said that they found a lion roaming around the forest and not the savanna, you were bound to be hunted and place on someone’s fireplace mantel.
A lone wolf you were...actually a lone lion, the last one. When you first turned, you didn’t go home, you ran away as far as you could and never looked back. Homeless and hungry for many years you were until someone gave you a job on a native reserve up north. The natives had helped you develop your skills of changing and told you stories about shifters like yourself but had no proof that others currently existed. You built a cabin and lived there up til a couple weeks ago, when you had mastered your changing ability and decided it was time to go home.
You had your earbuds plugged in jamming to your tunes from the phone you obtained through hard work. An honest man you like to think of your self as you’d work for everything that was currently on your body and in your bag. You walked through the forest not minding the cover of night as you were walking in the direction towards Seattle from the national park.
The song ‘Perfect’ By Ed Sheeran had come on your playlist. You started to hum it which turned into a whisper and then you started to sing. Back at your temporary home with the natives in the rocky mountains, they had praised your singing. Apparently it was one of your gifts that had been bestowed upon you, as a shifter. Some could run fast or have immeasurable strength but you had been blessed with the voice of an angel. You learned to busk and sing to make some extra money, which didn’t hurt.
“Cause we were just kids when we fell in love, not knowing what it was, I will not give you up this timeeeee!” you belted not giving a care, “Darling just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own! And in your eyes your’re holding mine!”
Little to your unbeknownst, you didn’t notice the smell or vibration on the ground of a large group heading your way, for you were too absorbed in the music.
“Baby, I’m dancing in the dark with you between my arms. Barefoot on the grass listening to our favourite song!” you bellowed with eyes closed, “When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath, but you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight!”
You let the music trail off without realizing that you had two sets of eyes following your form from a distance. Leah had found you first by following the sounds of your enchanting voice and distinct smell of artificial pine and sandalwood.
She stopped from a distance behind a set of bushes, assessing whether or not you were a danger to her. She admired from behind your (N/C) hair and your (B/T) form. You wore a dark olive coloured canvas jacket overtop a light blue button-up shirt with black jeans. You had your eyes closed when you turned around, and still singing, when she saw your face.
Like an incoming headache, it came hard and fast to Leah almost knocking her back. Like a roller coaster going down after the first gigantic incline, Leah could feel her mind and soul lift, as if she was having an out of body experience, then be slammed back into her form. As she came back to reality from the mind boggling experience, the center of her gravity refocused under a new light, your light.
‘So this is the whole rave about imprinting, I can see why Sam and the rest of them went crazy for coco puffs,’ Leah thought to herself comparing the mental state of imprinting to a cereal slogan.
She wasn’t the only one that felt that very same thing when she looked at your handsome face. On cue, Rosalie was the next one to see your unaware form singing in the forest.
To Rosalie, you not only sounded perfect but you were. Gracefully and oblivious you moved naturally like a willow tree in the wind. Your face had the perfect curvature that she wanted to trace with her fingers and eyes. She could only imagine what your eyes looked like. Blue like water found at Isle Esme, ivy green like the colour her father’s study was when she was human, or possibly brown like a rich worn leather jacket? She needed to know.
Coming to your senses, you smelt something in the distance. One scent smelt like you but not at the same time, and the other you couldn’t recognize as something that you have witnesses in your life.
Not wanting to tear one of your better outfits, you quickly undressed to your skimmies. You could sense it was near, observing you even, so you turned.
Shedding your true self, came forth the king of the jungle, your lion form. Full luscious golden mane and tan fur. Whiskey in the sunlight eyes shined through the darkness in the forest, scanning to find whoever was watching you.
You took one more sniff in the air before charging at whoever was behind the set of bushes not too far. You pounce on a form, surprisingly almost as large as yours and had them on their back. Doing a once over of the form beneath your claws, you noticed that it was a large white wolf with eyes that look scared but mixed with something else within them. You didn’t know the emotion but you started to get dizzy looking at the wolf. You looked away trying to focus on something but your eyes then fell upon a blonde women that you assumed was with the wolf. Again the dizziness hit you.
You felt more than fine a few seconds ago, what happened to you?
You got off the wolf and started walking backwards. You pawed at your muzzle to try and wipe the feeling away but it kept coming. You saw yourself, slightly older stuck in theses woods, with two other people. Women? One a strikingly elegant pale blonde and the other an alluring rustic dark raven haired women. Each held your hand simply walking through the forest, each with their head on your shoulders, dreamily listening to you sing. The song you sang in this vision was the one you just belted in the forest.
What was this feeling? What did you see? Who were those two women? You recognized the blonde one from the vision as the one in front of you but the other women was unknown.
You shifted back to your human form unable to take anymore of what you saw.
“What the hell?” you whispered to yourself getting up off the forest floor in the nude.
Leah reverted back as well, also being in the nude, and realized that you imprinted on her as well.
‘Shifter imprinting on shifter, was unheard of, let alone on a whole ‘nother species of shifter,’ she processed
You rubbed your eyes before focusing your vision on the blonde and now present raven haired women in front of you.
“What did you guys just do to me?”
“You’re talking to both of us?” Leah asked when you referred to the both of them.
“Yeah, you guys were watching and did something to me. I just had the weirdest vision with the both of you in it for some reason?!” you massaged your temples then made eye contact with the both of them.
The both of them?!?! Leah and Rosalie simultaneously thought. In less than a  couple seconds, the rest of the Cullens showed up along with Seth and Jacob as wolves. After getting to a closer distance, everyone in the group could hear the mesmerizing singing that Rosalie and Leah did hear before it stopped. Leah and yourself ducked behind the bushes to hide your guys modesty.
“Woah geez I didn’t expect a whole flock of you guys to come running,” you held out your hands to show that didn’t want to attack.
“Who are you people? Especially you guys, the wolves, are you guys all shifters?” you pointed questioningly at the two large wolves still utterly bewildered at the situation.
“Who are you?” spoke Rosalie gazing over body taking in all the details.
“I’m (Y/N), I was just hunting in the area and just leaving to go to Seattle. I don’t mean to hunt on your guys land, I was just taking a detour,” you eyed each individual but your eyes lingered on the lady shifter beside you and the blonde.
“Where do you come from (Y/N)?” asked the stunning women beside you in the bushes.
“Rocky Mountains, British Columbia. I didn’t think that there were any shifters left other than myself, I thought I was the last one” you laughed in disbelief, “And you didn’t answer my question. What did you guys do to me like what was that whole vision thing you did?”
“You imprinted on them,” spoke the lean pale brunet man stepping forward from the rest of the group, “The vision you saw was in the future of the bond you share with my sister Rosalie and Leah, the shifter beside you”
“Wait what’s imprinting?”
“In our case, it’s a profound bond between you, her, and myself if you saw the three of us in your vision,” Leah, the lady that stood beside you, explained gesturing to you herself and the blonde Rosalie.
“Ummm okay, I’m still slightly confused and uncomfortable at the moment, due to the lack of clothing. Is it possible that maybe we can discuss this somewhere else with more than just bushes covering,” you waved your hand in front of the bushes covering your genitals, “this please?”
“Personally I don’t mind the view,” muttered Leah sending you a wink.
“Me neither,” you mumbled side eyeing her gorgeous body.
In a snap, Rosalie collected your clothing and your duffel from the ground, where you left them, and handed them to you. Rosalie’s hand brushed against yours sending feel-good tingles down your spine. Her body was ice cold to the touch but was perfectly contrasting your blazing skin. You sent her a dashing smirk her way and she gave you a genuine teeth-showing smile, something she rarely showed others.
You put on your clothes and gave Leah some shorts and shirt to wear in the meantime, because she didn’t have any clothes nearby.
“Our home is more than a walk back, I recommend that you travel with one of us,” said the mature blond man of the group. Rosalie raced over by your side and picked you up bridal style.
“Wow, now this one I can check of my bucket list,” you said taken aback by the sudden position.
“And what is that handsome?”
“To be held by an angel,”
Nevada seemed like a distant memory at that moment in time. Home no longer seemed to be Nevada, it now was in the arms of this exquisite blonde and in the eyes of the ravishing raven haired women.

MASTERLIST !    FEEDBACK !
Tumblr media
There was a conversation you had one night when you were all together, just hanging around after school. Bella has talked about her background with ballet and some jazz classes from her childhood to start, which caused many hilarious anecdotes to rise and make you all laugh.
That then caused Edward to mention something about the Charleston, but you knew for a fact it was a joke with how Emmett practically choked on his own laughter. Thus, the two of them started bickering which left you and Bella to finish the conversation.
You didn’t have much dance experience. You shimmy on the dance floor, shuffling awkwardly on your feet. Dancing wasn’t exactly in your vocabulary.
“What do you mean you can’t dance?” Bella questioned. “I’m know you can.”
“Not got a chance,” you quipped with a smirk before gasping when she kicked you. “Hey! High School Musical jokes are funny!”
She rolled her eyes before asking pressing questions like what your type of music is like. You answered with mostly classical music, of course. Your Spotify was filled with instrumentals of catchy pop songs. You much prefer those.
Then she pressed further to ask if you had seen people dance. Obviously you had said yes. You told her you had always wanted to learn how to ballroom dance ever since you saw some romantic horror film late one night. There had been a scene where the protagonist and her eventual lover were to dance smooth enough to keep a candle lit in their joined hands. And you had dreams based on this, you embarrassingly added.
Bella seemed kind and encouraging as you apparently poured your soul out to her. Eventually, the night ended with you excusing yourself to get to bed so you could get to a morning shift for work.
She texted you the next day saying that she could teach you how to ballroom dance. You were suspicious as you read her text during your break. She told you to meet her at a local dance studio that was just in a little town about 30 minutes outside of Forks around 8.
You should have known it was some kind of lie when you saw one of Carlisle’s cars parked in the lot.
You half expected to see Edward, maybe even Rosalie. But you were met with Jasper.
It was then you realized that maybe you should stop telling Bella about yourself at all costs. Part of you thought about turning around and just... leaving. You couldn’t handle being in the same room as your crush. Let alone have him teach you how to dance? In close proximity?
Hell, you may as well combust.
“Hey,” you started gently, deciding to play dumb as you silently hoped he couldn’t hear your heart pounding against your ribcage. “Are you here to have Bella teach you ballroom dancing too?”
Jasper laughed. You blushed at the sound of it reverberating in the empty dance floor.
“She set us up, I see.”
You finally stopped walking just a foot or two away from where Jasper stood with his hands held behind his back. Nervous laughter bubbled out of your throat as you nodded, playing with your keys in hand.
“Looks like it. You know how to ballroom dance?”
“Yes ma’am,” Jasper replied with a slight southern twang teasingly. You rolled your eyes dramatically.
“Alright then.” You moved to the small table that held what looked like Jasper’s keys and his phone and placed your bag next to it, your keys and phone landing right next to his own. You would have to fight down your impending panic, dancing with the guy you’ve been crushing on since the day you met him, but it was fine. You would be fine.
Turns out, you wouldn’t be fine.
One of Jasper’s hands was placed on your lower back, the other holding one of your own hands aloft in the air while your free hand that wasn’t occupied by Jasper’s landed on his broad shoulder.
His face wasn’t too far from your own as he instructed you gently as you tried to get the rhythm down of the steps. You felt so self-conscious every time you stepped on his foot, apologizing profusely. He just hushed you gently and continued to walk you through the choreography again a bit slower before gradually speeding up.
“This is a train wreck,” you huffed gently, taking a moment to pull your hand from his to get your hair out of your face with a hair tie you had on your wrist.
“You’re doing fantastic,” Jasper scoffed, keeping his hand splayed on your lower back while his other hand waited for your own to join it once more. “Just follow my lead.”
“Hard to do that when all I’m thinking of is stepping on your foot or tripping,” you replied. Jasper let out a soft laugh as you cleared your throat and straightened your posture again, slipping your hands back into their rightful spots.
“Then don’t think about it.”
“Wow, thanks. That helps so much.”
You both shared a laugh then before letting your gaze move from Jasper’s face to your feet as you started to try and follow his lead.
You were mumbling the steps under your breath constantly as you moved gracefully around the floor, your eyes never leaving your feet.
Jasper said your name gently, almost breathlessly as you followed his lead.
Your eyes stayed on your feet as you hummed back in reply.
“Look at me,” Jasper demanded gently. “Trust me to lead.”
You wished you could ignore how soft his voice sounded just then. For a bit you did before he said your name again in a playful tone. Finally, you obliged.
Jasper was already looking at you with a smile. You couldn’t help but return it as you both continued to smoothly dance around the room, gradually picking up speed. You started to lean into Jasper’s moves, finally letting him properly lead.
“See what happens when you trust me?” Jasper asked quietly, almost as if you were in a crowded room full of people. You wanted to giggle at his tone but you were far too happy to be doing something you’ve been working at for an hour or two.
“I guess I should trust you more often then, huh?” You questioned back, taking your bottom lip between your teeth as you scanned over his face. Your eyes definitely lingered on his lips for a moment too long.
He didn’t seem to mind as he kept you moving. “Maybe you should.”
“Do you trust me?” You could feel yourself moving closer to Jasper as he seemed to be looking your face over. He was quick to let out a hum with a smug looking smile.
“‘Course.”
The two of you were starting to gradually slow your steps down, feet dragging against the smooth wooden flooring of the studio as your grip tightened on his hand.
“Would you mind if I tried something then?”
“Not at all,” Jasper replied, his fingertips digging into the fabric of your shirt slightly. You watched his eyes dart down your face again before they caught your own again. “I trust you.”
You couldn’t hide the giddy smile you got from his words before you were on your tip-toes, pressing your lips to his.

He led me through the forest until we entered a large clearing. Flowers were blooming everywhere and he led me to the middle of it. We sat down and I leaned against him. “Shoot.” “So…you are a vampire?” “Yes.” “And you turned me after I was close to dying.” “Yes.” “But my transformation isn’t complete.” “Mhmm.” “And now we are going to Italy to talk to some vampire high ups and ask them what the fuck’s wrong with me.” “Correct. Any other questions?” “Hm…what abilities do vampires have?” He chuckled. “Aside from speed, incredibly strength and good looks? Heightened senses and some have special abilities like you with freezing others.” “Do you have a special ability?” He nodded and leaned back until he was laying down. “I can feel and control emotions.” I felt myself freeze. “Is that why I…I like you that much?” He immediately sat up and grabbed my hands. “Oh god no! I would never do something like that. But there is a reason for your attraction towards me. And my attraction towards you.” I raised an eyebrow in question. “Have you heard of mates? Like with animals?” I nodded. “It’s similar with vampires. Sometimes we are lucky enough to meet our mate, sometimes we aren’t. Mates are destined to be together and will stay together as long as nothing happens.” “And…we are mates?” Jasper nodded and smiled. “But I understand if it’s all too much, I-.” “No. No, I like it.” I smiled at him shyly. “Can I ask you something?” I nodded and laid down next to him. “Who are you?” I chuckled at the question, not really knowing how to answer it. “Uhm…I guess I’m Y/N.” He also chuckled and turned his face to look at me. “Tell me more about yourself…Y/N.” The way my name sounded when he said it was intoxicating. I also looked at him and began. “I am…well…was eighteen years old. I’m not from Forks, I was actually on my way through here when I was attacked by the wolves and yeah…you know what happened after.” He nodded and quickly wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me to him. “What about your family?” I laid my head on his chest and closed my eyes. “They died a few months ago in a car crash. I wasn’t eighteen yet so I had to live with my aunt and uncle, but as soon as I was legally eighteen, I got out of there.” Jasper was quiet, thinking. “And where did you want to go?” I shrugged before I looked up at his golden eyes. “No idea. All I knew was that I wanted to get away from that place…and the memories. I had a feeling to go north and so I did.” Jas smiled. “I’m glad you listened to this feeling.” He leaned down and pressed a quick kiss against my lips. Then he laid back down again and closed his eyes. “Vampires don’t actually sleep, do they?” Jasper shook his head, grinning. “But it’s still nice to close the eyes from time to time.” “And I can still sleep? Since I’m half-human.” He shrugged and pulled me tighter against him. “I guess so.” “That’s good. Wouldn’t want to miss out on my favourite activity.” Jasper started to laugh and it took him some time to calm down. Before he could response, his phone rang and he picked it up. He immediately sobered up and turned to me. “We need to go. Our flight leaves in a few hours.” I nodded and stood up. Hand in hand, we ran back to the house, where the women had worked together to fill a bag with clothes that could fit me. “Have a save trip. I know you will.” The short one with the pixie hair cut hugged me, before I slipped into the backseat of one of the cars. Carlisle, the older man, sat in the driver’s seat and as soon as Jasper sat down next to me, he started the engine and we took off. Through the hole drive, Jasper held my hand, while he filled me in on his family. Carlisle and Esme functioned as the parents, Alice and he were together but not true mates, so I shouldn’t worry about that. Rosalie and Emmet were mates, just like Edward and Bella. Bella had only been turned a short while ago. Their daughter had caused a lot of commotion, but everything turned out fine eventually. Also, the Volturi weren’t too fond of them at the moment, so I should do what they tell me and if anything happens just run. As if I would just leave them there.
During the flight to Italy, I slept. It took us long enough and I decided to use that time to do one of my favourite things. Jasper only woke me up when food arrived, then he let me sleep again.
The next time he woke me up, was when we were in the middle of landing. I fastened my seatbelt, but leaned against Jasper again and closed my eyes, dozing a bit. I really woke up, when we had to leave the airplane. I had no idea how I could sleep that much, but I was still drowsy when we were picking up our package. With both our bags in one hand, Jasper grabbed mine with the other and we followed Carlisle out of the airport, where we rented a car. He told me that it would take us a few hours to get to our destination and that I could relax a bit more. So I did, and fell asleep again.
The next time I woke up, it was already dark outside. Jasper beside me noticed me stirring and turned to me. “Good morning, darling.” He pecked my lips. “Hi…are we there yet?” He chuckled. “Soon. But stay awake. It won’t be much longer.” And he was right. Only a few moments later, we pulled up in front of a large church. Carlisle got out of the car, as did Jasper, and within one second, he was on my side, opening the car door for me. He helped me out and we walked to the large wooden doors, where Carlisle knocked. I looked back at the car, while I fidgeted in the new clothes I was wearing. We’d changed at the airport, wanting to look nice, but I wasn’t used to the clothes and just couldn’t feel comfortable.
Either way, the door opened and a tiny, blonde woman stood there, telling us to follow her. Carlisle had called her Jane. Such a pretty name for such a mean looking girl. We followed her deeper and deeper inside the building. At some point, I started to shiver from the cold and Jasper wrapped his sweater around me. When we finally reached some tall oak doors, I was relieved. The doors were opened and behind them laid a giant room, made out of marble. At the back stood three thrones, occupied by three…vampires. And I mean that in the old-fashioned way. Long hair, Victorian clothing.
The one in the middle stood up as soon as we entered the room. He walked towards us with a giant grin on his face. “Welcome! Welcome my friends…welcome…” His eyes wandered from Carlisle over Jasper to me. “Is that her?” Carlisle nodded and the man walked up to me, coming to a halt only mere centimetre ahead of me. Way too close for my taste. He extended his hands and waited for something. “May I?” He gestured towards my hands and I quickly looked at Jasper. He nodded and I slowly put my hands in his. A painful amount of pictures flashed before my eyes, but I couldn’t make them out. It was all over within a second and I collapsed backwards when the man let go. Jasper caught me and held me upright. “So? Do you know what happened?” The man turned towards Carlisle. “I don’t.” Carlisle and Jasper sighed, while I still tried to regain my power. “How about we bite her again? She sure smells delicious.” Within a millisecond, Jasper stood behind me and growled at the vampire who dared to suggest that. “Caius. Calm down.” The man from earlier, who I suspect was Aro, raised his hand and the blonde one sat back down. Aro turned to Carlisle and smiled. “I’ll talk about this with the other members and let you know as soon as we have decided what we are going to do with her. Until then!” He waved and we left the room. When we were a few metres from the door, I turned to Jasper and frowned. “I don’t like the way he phrased that. ‘What we are going to do with her’. As if I’m some piece of meat.” Jasper chuckled. “Don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you.” “Yeah.” Carlisle joined in. “You are part of the family now, Y/N. And we take care of each other.” I smiled at him and we walked to the exit.
