Hanma Shuji was a lot of things, a thief, a con man, a criminal and an absolute menace to society but he was definitely not a cheater. He carved your name on his heart the day the three big words were exchanged. Hanma gave you his heart and he wasn’t planning on asking it back anytime soon or ever. There weren’t many concrete things in his life, not many things he was sure of but you were there, he’d never been more sure about anything in his life so when you asked that silly little question of yours it hurt, it hurt real bad. “Shuji would you ever think about cheating on me?” You asked giggling. It was a harmless question, you were joking, he knew you were, you had the stupid little habit of asking him pointless questions and what ifs you came across on tiktok but the question still made him sad and honestly a bit offended.

He scoffed leaning back on the couch looking directly at you with such an unpleasant expression you almost regretted asking him that in the first place. “Why don’t you tell me if I were to cheat on you or not” he stated sternly folding his arms, his eyes daring you to say that he would. The sudden change in atmosphere was painfully suffocating, it was just supposed to be a funny joke like all of your other questions you’ve asked him, he had never mind those before he’d even answer them so creatively like when you asked him if he’d still love you if you were a worm he didn’t waste a second to tell you that he’d search for nutrient rich soil to keep you in with the finest and reddest apples he could find to feed you and even build you lego theme parks. So you weren’t expecting him to get all serious about this stuff.

You were finding the right words to not further offend him as you nervously laughed “I uh I hope not shuji come on it doesn’t matter it jus-“ “it matters to me Y/N, what my girlfriend thinks about my faithfulness to her and our relationship does matter” he says with such hurt in his eyes it made you sad. It’s not just this that has been bothering him for a while now but also when that one friend of yours keeps telling you about him looking like he’d cheat, something about the “vibes” he give, whatever the fuck that means. He had been nothing but a faithful partner, not just to you but also to his deceased best friend. He still visits his grave regularly with flowers for fucks sake. Hanma is not dumb he knows what talk goes around about his relationship with you. ‘He’d get bored of her’ ‘they won’t last long’ she’d find someone better’ and he knows that you might. Hanma Shuji, the man who has it all, doesn’t look like it but deep down he’s insecure and he tries to the fullest to give you the best of everything. Sure he’s not great at expressing shit with his words when it comes to mushy stuff but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you or would ever even think about cheating on you. He just wishes you’d give him more credibility than that.

Your gaze soften when you hear him say those words. Ever since you got together with him you’ve been slowly trying to make him more expressive about his feelings and his words right now made you both proud and extremely guilty for even questioning his loyalty to you even if it was just a joke. You quickly walk over to where he was seated and take his hands in yours sitting beside him “I’m so so sorry Shuji” you say “I had no intentions to hurt you like that” he’s looking at you waiting for you to finish. You felt stupid to even ask it in the first place when your here looking at the matching necklace around his neck that you both got on your first anniversary. He wears it all the time.

He sighs squeezing your hands gently “I will never even think about cheating on you doll” he finally says “I know baby I know I’m stupid for even asking you that” you scoot closer to him and kiss his cheek as he smiles faintly. “I love you Shuji and I trust you with all I’ve got” you smile and he mirrors you “I love you too” he says and he leaves a quick peck on your lips “but imma need to have to delete your tiktok account now” he’s grinning, that’s your shuji.

adam from trc? (for the characters ask game!)

Why I like them: Difficult to sum up since he’s one of my favorite characters of all time, I mentioned he’s probably my second favorite specifically male character in media and I stand by that <3. He has a lot of traits that appeal to me between the control issues and emotional repression and being curious and wanting to know what is up at all times and being a resourceful smart bb who can probably (the traits that most make me vibe with male chars tbh), his ambition and drive and desire for autonomy is really admirable to me but I enjoy that his arc in original trc is about learning he’s worthy of loving and being loved and about the value of that, that vulnerability isn’t automatically going to lead to being ruined in a sense. And his whole journey/arc in original trc is really beautifully done, one of my favorite character arcs ever to this day. On the flip side he’s a freak and a menace and I adore that as well, his internal monologue and pov is truly unhinged in the most fascinating and fun way. I definitely wouldn’t be nearly as attached to him without that. And I love stories about identity and masking and characters who feel alien and other having malleable relationships to identity to conform… so that might have started a bit with my love for Adam I’m realizing.

Why I don’t: I’m satisfied enough with how the arc played out in canon to not hold this against him when it comes to my feelings about his char especially since the breakdown of Blue and Adam’s relationship is pretty compelling to me in general, but anytime I see fandom takes that act like he Never treated Blue badly during their relationship at all and blame her for everything … Bombastic side eye doesn’t begin to cover it. But that’s only related to fandom bs, in terms of moments I actually dislike him which are not reckoned with by the narrative at all obviously it’s the racism re: Henry in TRK, ugh.

Favorite episode (scene if movie): tbh so much of my favorite Adam content comes in his internal monologues and PoV rather than what he’s Doing in a scene… but DC Party scene is incredible <33. If you made me pick another scene would go with him blackmailing Greenmantle nefarious king <3. Oh but also being unbothered by Kavinsky’s death iconic… wait I actually changed my mind pretend I never said those things it’s definitely the sacrifice scene in TRB yes that is my final answer.

Favorite season/movie: I love his entire arc and journey in trc so much so it really could be any book each for different reasons but I’ll say TDT, I love a Downward Spiral that’s interesting and messy <33. But also his BLLB arc rules… but it is the more obvious answer since it’s more positive/uplifting so yeah will stick to TDT answer and unpopular opinion but he’s the best part of that book for me.

Favorite line: lonesome internal monologue is iconic for a reason it’s incredible… also his whole internal monologue about being jealous of all combinations of his (hot) friend hanging out without him is soo real and iconic. Oh also ik I slander TRK but his monologue about loving magic and not knowing he was capable of love before and then Cabeswater showing him the images of his friends in moments linked to heightened emotions surrounding them… went off. If we’re going with just dialogue World’s Ending Folks! tirade is iconic + the internal monologues surrounding it… so much fun to dissect together.

Favorite outfit: the white shirt and cargo pants from BLLB ig my man has no drip… actually changed my mind it’s the secondhand tweed suit Gansey’s dad gave him he wears at Harvard for symbolism reasons.

OTP: Adam/Gansey. I love him with Ronan too and find stuff to be compelled by re: him and Blue but Adansey just hits on a different level emotionally and narratively they are everything…

Brotp: Persephone I love their psychic mentorship in BLLB.

Head Canon: would not have said this was my take before this reread but I do actually think of Adam as having some more internalized homophobia than most of the fandom, not as intense and exacerbated by religious shame as Ronan’s but there in a subtler way. I think Adam at the beginning of the series has some level of awareness about his attraction to men without fully registering it/accepting it, when he thinks about a model for success in TRB&TDT it’s this very heterosexual WASP ideal him watching Declan and Ashley as a model is very this to me for instance and I reblogged some older meta posts about this I agree with (stopping myself here because I kind of want to make a separate post about my thoughts here at some point).

Unpopular opinion: He’s quite an emotional mess for most of the series so fanon portrayals of him as totally cool and collected and put together rub me the wrong way especially after rereading where it Really stood out to me how much fanon and canon tend to diverge... He’s a logical, pragmatic person and a brilliant problem solver but that boy is emotional as fuck (Not soft at all which is totally different from emotional imo) and his efforts to deal with that logically make it worse (I can relate but that’s beside the point), he’s also really not smooth it’s just that Ronan and Gansey’s disasternous is more telegraphed and it makes Adam’s easier to downplay, also a trademark of Adam narration is that He prefers to see himself as a totally logical in control of emotions person and will downplay his emotional investment/emotions as a factor even when his feelings come out in other thoughts and especially especially when you look at his actions….

A wish: makes me deeply sad that even though he clearly values knowledge, loves when other people love knowledge for it’s own sake and get’s a taste of that passion himself when it comes to how much he loves being a powerful psychic/doing magic, he never gets to have that in his academic pursuits because they’re all tailored to get him out of Henrietta / help him win at the capitalist American dream… I so want for him to find a major he’s actually passionate about.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: well from the Greywaren spoilers I heard (I read CDTH and MI when they came out and now that I’m done rereading the original series am rereading them and will then read Greywaren so will.. try to reserve judgement but what I’ve heard to me is 😬) but aside from that I did always hate the idea of him losing his psychic powers and I’m glad that specifically didn’t happen.

I’m rewatching Commander Chaos / Bad Scroofy GTA RP streams ( Zuthar13 ) and I miss those days. I’ve watched most of them live, and it was a wild fun time. The fandom is dead-dead. But I think I have some old art I can dig up to post. What I enjoyed the most is how big the variety of characters were in CC’s group, so there was different dynamics and levels of insanity. And the fact that everyone was so loyal to each other, despite often getting each other hurt. But they always went back for their team mates. And of course BS’ romance always hooks me. I really wish GTA RP was more popular fandom-wise. I can barely explain how addictive following a GTA RP character’s arc can be. Back when there were arcs with CC and BS. Watching a joke villain character like CC turn into an actual threat, and then watching BS both have a romance plot line while also kidnapping people, doing hits, and aiding in endangering an entire city was something else.

Anyway, you can watch what I’m talking about on Jerry the Breaker streams. It archives Zuthar13’s GTA RP content with a playlist for each character. They’re long but if you skip car chases that helps. Also good if you need background noise 👍

If you’re interested in a silly villain character turn into a feared menace, or a gay hit man assassin, it’s good content 👍

Tbh I feel like a lot of folks I see on here (and to some extent other social media sites) seem to think that everyone who likes something has some sort of like…deep conspiracy about WHY they like something. You see it in people critiquing Swifties for like Taylor (calling them white supremacists??), with the Fandom Menace claiming people who like newer Star Wars only like it to send “the message” or w/e dumb shit they say, you see it in folks criticizing people who like the work of LMM (saying they like appropriation or SOMETHING fuck if I can keep track of this bs revival of yfip)

Like I guarantee you 80% or more of folks who like something like it…because they like it. The average person isn’t trotting around analyzing every piece of media to make sure they like it for ethical or unproblematic reasons. Good lord.

Media analysis is good but the majority of people who listen to an artist or watch a tv show do so because they like it. That’s it. There isn’t a secret cabal of Swifties who like that she’s white?? There isn’t a discord server somewhere full of Star Wars fans who are plotting to get rid of white men. It’s the most bizarre shit I’ve ever seen. I genuinely think some folks on here need to log off.

When I get too in my head or feelings on here or anywhere else I log off and go do something else like play video games, read, or work on a craft project.

I just watched a video countering a couple of Prequel bashers and, my god, the things the haters said should happen to Jake Lloyd! It's an abhorrent injustice that these disgusting people were catered to by the 2008 CW series. You know, however terrible they are, I'm almost glad for the sequels, because if there's one good thing that came from them, it was watching the Prequel hate coming back to bite these people hard.

Tell me about it. The people who bullied Jake Llyod are despicable. I think the actors in the sequel trilogy sometimes overacted and it came out as too forceful at times and I wasn’t a fan of Daisey Ridley’s wooden acting but that’s no excuse to bully the actors! Jake tried his best and did exactly what George instructed him to do i.e. play a simple good-natured kid. The sequels have been criticized but I think the acting is rarely brought up while prequel actors like Ahmed Best, Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman had to deal with this nonsense because people didn’t agree with their characters’ actions, how they were written and/or couldn’t handle character flaws.

Still Jake Lloyd showed more emotional range than the adult sequel trilogy actors (I mean is Rey even capable of other expressions than being wide eyed or smiling in inappropriate situations or looking like she’s trying too hard?). I understand getting teased at school because let’s face it kids are immature and they were probably just jealous he got the role in such a highly anticipated movie but what angers me is when grown men picked on him and bullied him like the man-babies they were AND had the nerve to blame it on George (who still defends the prequels and it’s characters). I know it’s hard for them to swallow this but Star Wars is George’s creation and doesn’t exist solely to fulfill their male power fantasies. I have seen their version of “fix-it” videos where they are like Anakin should have been born with the suit and basically making him a psychopathic soulless monster and also a demon child. The atrocious Darth Vader Marvel comics are still trying to please said man-babies but TCW started that trend. These days actors can gain sympathy and support from fans on social media but back then people rarely stood up for little Jake and Ahmed Best. What’s worse is some reporters continued to harass and insult Jake in interviews to the point it permanently damaged his mental health. They even harassed his mom and continued to make those awful podracing jokes after the car-chase incident. He didn’t deserve any of this. And people still continue to ridicule him. I have seen people joke about him being unattractive compared to Hayden Christensen which is just so shallow and mean. Anakin is a fictional character - he can be played by any actor as long as it is convincing. 

You’re right about TCW, that’s one of the reasons why I can never accept it (no matter how much I overlook the other terrible retcons). They were made to “fix” the prequels and even George was forced to change his characters a little because of the intense backlash. TCW caters to those horrible bullies and introducing that Ahsoka character wasn’t the best decision. You know, I once saw a video where fans voted for their favorite Jedi and she came in no. 2 and one of the common reasons they provided was because they found her attractive. Now female characters in a male dominated fandom have always been sexualized but the number of times TCW sexualized a minor is disturbing. And of course, Filoni’s blatant bias for his OC is extremely annoying. TCW caters to the fanboys’ ideals of toxic masculinity and are indirectly supporting these bullies. It started this trend of changing the prequel characters to make them more “acceptable” and “stereotypical” because fans can’t grasp the concept of complex and emotional characters and changing the “cheesy” romance to an abusive/unhealthy one to make it more “realistic”. Star Wars is more like a fairytale, even George said it’s a space opera. It’s meant to be dramatic and have mythical themes. But fanboys absolutely love these changes because now the prequels have been “improved” like this show was made specifically to please them and apologize for the prequels. They complain about how prequels ruined characters like Darth Vader because sometimes you should be able to use your imagination to fill in the gaps but TCW was that gap. The originals left so many valid unanswered questions like who was the Emperor (and how could he use force lightning), what was the clone wars, how exactly did Anakin fall from grace and who was Luke and Leia’s mother? The prequels answered them all and did a fantastic job at world-building. TCW is the unnecessary extension, we didn’t need to see their everyday lives and still if anyone was curious the 2003 CW was there to bridge the gap perfectly while staying true to the characters and keeping the tone consistent.

I agree with you on the sequels. I have never been invested in them in the first place to be outraged. I was bored watching TFA and its unoriginal plot, mildly amused at how ridiculous the TLJ was and just confused at how pointless and messy TROS was. So yeah the trilogy served those people right who thought a shallow unoriginal remake of ANH “revived” Star Wars after its creator “ruined” it and thought a director (whose other films are not very original either) could do better than one of the most creative and intelligent men in Hollywood.

Star Wars is so much more than these pointless action movies with stereotypical action heroes. George had combined elements from mythology, history, literature, science fiction, fantasy to create a beautiful story with symbolism, depth and a great message. The prequel trilogy and the original trilogy are two halves of that story and both are needed to complete the saga. Hollywood and these fans don’t deserve George Lucas. They disrespected him and his work.

Basically a bunch of wholesome HCs where the Act 1 gang lives in our world and goes through day to day life happy without worries. I really enjoyed picturing them all just being normal kids/teenagers, and I’m planning to add more of these in the future. Feel free to suggest ideas!

In this universe, the kids live around New York City

Powder, Vi, Mylo, and Claggor are Vander’s adopted kids who attend a junior-senior city school

Fun fact: their school colors are green and gray, paralleling Zaun's sky; I can picture Mylo in a green school hoodie, or Vi in green football uniform

In terms of school, Claggor gets straight A’s and is an honor roll student, Vi worked hard to earn a great scholarship through playing varsity sports and gets As and Bs, and Mylo’s the one who’s pretty average at school but gets high grades in subjects he’s interested in (Claggor tutors him but sometimes gives in whenever Mylo begs to copy his homework)

Mylo got his first A in wood and metal shop when he built a really strong lock (on how and why he knew how to make a lock that difficult to pick, the teachers have no idea)

It’s a known fact that if Claggor finds an exam or subject even just SLIGHTLY difficult, everyone else is screwed

Claggor’s most likely to be the valedictorian of their class, but if he’s being honest the title doesn’t matter to him, he just wants to do his best at everything he does

Everyone loves Claggor: His teachers are happy to write his college recommendation letters, he’s always willing to help out his classmates struggling with any material, he's an absolute MENACE during dodge ball, mans is the CHADDEST of Chads

Vi plays varsity football for their high school; She is a rare case in which the school permitted her to play on the typically all male team because of her immense potential

Like Claggor, she BODIES everyone when it comes to sports; Besides football, she enjoys soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and basketball

Mylo, Claggor, Powder, Ekko, and Vander all attend her football games and support her during pep rallies/homecoming; She's definitely done that thing where each person on the football team runs through a giant strip of paper with their names on it

Speaking of pep rallies, Mylo, Powder, and Ekko would rather skip them and sneak off school grounds to do something else

They think the rally gets boring after the performances by the cheer squads and only hype up whenever they see Vi walking in the field/gym (Vi is the only reason they stick around the entire rally)

Powder and Ekko are in the junior high section of the overall school

Ekko’s placed in the gifted program so the only time he can hang out with Powder is during their shared lunch period

Powder struggles a bit at school but greatly excels in arts and sciences (her teachers from these subjects all love her)

Despite her strengths, her math teacher makes her feel bad about herself whenever she struggles with a topic that seemingly everyone else understands right away

Vi, Claggor, and even Ekko gladly help Powder with her math homework and make her see that her teacher is wrong (all while Mylo rants about having that exact same teacher and how he put gum in her chair back in middle school)

Powder wins awards for art contests and science fairs and Vi drags their brothers to attend her ceremonies; She’s the one aggressively clapping and hollering in the back whenever Powder walks up the stage :)

All of them are involved with clubs or other extracurricular activities in one way or another

Vi has her sports and Powder's an active member of the art club; Ekko also got her to join the robotics club with him

Powder’s also part of the newly formed comic club, which is basically a club for anyone interested in anime, Marvel/DC, fandoms, and other media (Mylo calls it “the nerd club”)

It started when he would pick open hallway lockers whenever Ekko was shoved inside one

It then extended to reluctantly helping kids open locked classroom doors after school when they forgot something inside (apparently their janitor was an ass who wouldn’t bother opening it for them)

He gained some underground popularity among students around the school, and man was he THRIVING off it

Soon he formed a club unrecognized by the school and would teach people everything he knew on how to pick locks, even hosting competitions on who could open locks the fastest

Apparently his techniques were so good that students started using them to break into teachers’ desks and steal future tests to cheat

The breaking point was when a few delinquents started stealing things from other people’s lockers and the entire school administration had a manhunt on who was teaching so many kids how to pick locks

Safe to say the “club” was shut down very quickly, with Mylo being in detention for an entire month

Chie

Probably a bit wary when it comes to you because she hears the rumors of you being a delinquent and she's seen you too.

Honestly it takes Kanji to mention how you're nothing like people say because apparently you go to his mother's shop a lot for sewing materials.

She would probably have ended up accidentally running into you and she got prepped for some kind of altercation, only to be stunned when you apologize a lot and look so worried that she got hurt.

Starts acting like a protective older sister to you because you're really sweet and she can't believe she believed those stupid rumors.

Will defend your honor from others because you don't deserve their BS.

Naoto

She heard from rumors that you’re a delinquent so she wanted to see for herself. She is the “detective prince” so she has to maintain appearances with keeping the peace.

Is pleasantly surprised when she sees that you’re actually a sweetheart with caring for some younger siblings outside of school. 

Naoto had prepared a conversation with you but seeing as you’re actually not what the rumors suggest has her throwing that preparation out the window.

She’ll approach you at school the next time she sees you and talks to you a bit, just getting to know you. Rumors tend to harm people so she wanted to make sure you’re doing alright despite them.

Ends up becoming friends with you, which is nice because she could always use more of them, and is very happy to support you while denying other’s rumors.

Rise

Rise hears about you being a delinquent and takes that as a challenge to approach you. She's so used to so much judgement with rumors that she has to see if this is more BS or if you're really as scary as people say.

She ends up being impressed when she sees that you do look like a thug. Like she'll go up and talk to you and say that you're scary looking.

Is not expecting the complete 180 of you apologizing for "scaring" her. She can't help but giggle a bit at it and calls you cute, which just confuses you because she just said you're scary.

Honestly just states that you two are friends now. She doesn't care if anyone says anything about "the idol" and "the thug". You're super cool and sweet and she loves that.

Will 100% tell others that you're her bodyguard too just to get them to leave her alone. It gives you more attention to as people will be in awe that you were "chosen" to be Risette's bodyguard so hopefully you'll make more friends!

Ann

Ann is good friends with Ryuji so to hear that there's another delinquent in school has her a bit interested because is it more stupid rumors with people judging you or are you actually a menace?

She finds out when she's walking to the train station one day and sees you in an alley. She glances over and finds you leaning down, pushing a bowl of water and some kind of food (she can't see what from her position) towards some cats.

Will try and talk to you the next day, only to find that you're really sweet. She had originally thought you were hiding the softie part of you, but no you're just genuinely a sweetheart.

Starts to feel pissed about all the rumors labeling you. Sure, you don't care about the tidiness of the school uniform and you look like a drop out, but that gives no reason for people to judge you like that.

If she hears anyone spreading these rumors about you being a delinquent then she's quick to chime in about how you're nothing like that. 100% going to defend you.

Makoto

Honestly was called in by the principal or someone to keep an eye on you and try and tutor you and stuff.

You look like a delinquent so who best to "change your ways" than one of the top students in the school.

Makoto is very interested when she finds out that you're not at all how you appear. You're just so genuinely sweet.

She might let you know that your appearance throws people off, but if you're truly happy with it then you shouldn't change. Although, maybe iron your clothing a bit more since that should help.

Would like to introduce you to the rest of the Phantom Thieve's (not revealing their nature) just so you can have more friends. With everyone judging you all the time, she doesn't know how things are for you socially so hopefully with friends it'll make things better.

I made the mistake of going on Instagram to search Sasuke (because on tumble the Sasuke tag is filled with the pink menace) and I think it might be worst there. I just want Sasuke content!! SS/Sakura stans have deluded themselves into believing that Sakura is at her peak right now. They have somehow made every negative interaction with Sasuke into a love scene. Some actually completely excuse Sasuke being absent for over a decade without any communication and really believe it’s to protect Sakura and Sarada from his enemies. That is complete bs because if it really was for protection, he would’ve her to not parade around in HIS clan’s crest for all to see. So I’m not buying “he stayed away to protect them,” nonsense. I even saw a user on Instagram post “facts” about Sakura that were total lies. One being that Kishimoto created and Sakura to the story because he felt like the plot was going nowhere🤯🤯🤯🤯 And the wankers just eat it right up. Canon!Sakura is trash and they know it. That’s why they try so hard to hyper her up with pure lies and nonsense. I had to log off when I saw that someone posted that Sakura should’ve made Sasuke kiss her feet for all he put her through 🤮🤮. I was DONE!! At least keep that out of the Sasuke tag. Nowhere is safe from them!!

I agree with Kishimoto when he said he came to regret creating Sakura, surely all this brain damage could have been avoided. Then again, women like this would have just latched on some other bland self-insert female character instead.

Kishimoto said he created a rival for Naruto, that being Sasuke, him only, because the plot was going nowhere. I remember jpn discussion about animage popularity poll where Sakura was most hated for both male and female readers and one comment said “Sakura must be most hated female heroine in anime I think”.

Sasusaku never read the series, especially the new ones, so of course they believe any fandom meta or claim lol. Remember when they thought the necklaces picture was photoshop?

I have seen some people join fandom including naruto saying they only watched first two arcs, stopped and then started to read fanfics... no wonder no one knows anything. They are only in fandoms for their self-insert ships.
