“Just where do you think you’re going, little miss?” You heard a deep voice from behind you as strong arms wrapped around your waist. You squealed in delight as Felix picked you up and spun you around. Continuing to giggle, he placed you back on your feet and you turned in his arms to look at him.
“Hi love!” You chirped, leaning up on your tiptoes. He immediately knew what you were wanting, leaning down in favour of meeting your lips in a soft kiss. Your smile widened as you pulled away, wrapping your own arms around his neck and burying your face in his shoulder.
“I miss you.” The words were slightly muffled though he heard it nonetheless and he smiled, a hand moving from your waist to cup the back of your head.
“I miss you too, my little darling. I shall be off duty soon.” He felt you softly stroke and tug at the hairs residing at the base of his neck, purring slightly before he continued “What would you like to do once I am off?”
“Picnic in the garden?” You lifted your head as eyes lit up. Felix felt his heart melt at the look on your face, squeezing you gently and pressing a kiss to your nose.
“Of course, my sweet. Whatever you would like.”
You squealed again as your head found it’s way back into the crook of his neck. He felt you press soft kisses there, though he pulled away suddenly at your giggles.
“Did you just bite me?!” He looked at you incredulously, a smirk on his face.
“Maybe…” You smiled mischievously before attempting to make a run for it.
“Oh no you don’t.” He grabbed you by your waist “Come back here, my love, it should be me who is biting a pretty little thing such as yourself”
It was his turn to bury his head into your neck, playfully nipping your sweet spot and you laughed loudly.
“Stop it! That tickles!”
You squirmed in an attempt to remove him from your neck, a deep chuckle rumbling through his chest before he looked at you, pressing a final kiss to your lips.
“Right run along now, I have to go. I shall see you soon, mia amore.”
You did just that. Running straight into the gardens to await his return.

Old Age and Fated Bonds
Tumblr media
Pairing: Felix Volturi X Hybrid!reader
Characters: Hybrid!reader, Alice Cullen, Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, Demetri Volturi, Aro Volturi, Marcus Volturi, Caius Colturi, Jane Volturi
Warnings: Reader protecting themselves, fancast Felix is here to slay, Edward being a big dummy, reader butting head with the dumbass, reader teasing her mate, Felix teasing reader, the feeding scene, the feeding scene makes me feral, this became oddly sexual, these vampires know how to seduce someone, Felix gives baby sub vibes, Felix and reader are a power couple, I feel like I made the reader a little bipolar but-
Word Count: 2,496
A/N: I wrote the feeding scene before work, lost it and then had to back track before leaving. I was so pissed but it's good. It's exactly what I wrote but a smidge different
The Volturi forget reader is a hybrid even after Reneesme is born then they're like oh wait it can be true, we have proof
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Felix, take your dearest to your room. We still have some unfinished business to attend to with the Cullens and Miss Swan."
He moves from beside you, placing a hand on your back to guide you out of the throne room.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Are you scared?"
"That doesn't answer my question."
"You haven't answered mine."
You purse your lips, rethinking whether he was hot or if you're so lonely you're desperate for contact. You don't glance up at him to know he's smirking.
"We're going to my room where you'll stay until I'm finished."
You scoff, "I'm not a dog."
"No, you are not."
"Thank you."
"Dogs know when to listen."
Your jaw drops, gaze falling onto the door as it clicks shut. You roll your head, listening to the cracking of your neck; wondering what you should do to get back at him for his comment.
You sit, thinking back to the moment that led you to your current predicament.
-
You made sure not to be too far from Alice, knowing she’d be more helpful to you than Bella or Edward.
You keep the block up in your mind, so he doesn't hear how much of an idiot he is.
The guards lead you to the infamous throne room.
You inwardly hum, taking note of every nook, crack, everything really.
It's such a gorgeous room, shame it's used for more torturing people for whatever they see fit.
You knew the Volturi had money (they've been around for so long, naturally they were bound to be rich). But seeing it, completely different than what the Cullens told you.
You glance back at the three and rush towards them, not needing to get lost or discovered. Someone would have a fit if that ever happened.
-
You're not paying attention to what the odd king is saying, not until a body being slammed down draws your attention to the people in front of you.
You step closer to the vampire with a pixie cut, watching as the tall and lean, attractive vampire practically throws Edward into the ground.
The corners of your lips twitch, not entirely empathetic towards him.
He made his bed, almost literally, and now he must lie in it.
You take the time to lean forward, wanting only her to hear you. "You didn't tell me they would be hot."
Edward groans, for more than one reason.
"Who said that?" Caius leans forward.
Aro claps with excitement in his eyes.
"Oh, crap."
"Demetri," Aro calls for him.
The vampire doesn't know what to do when he can't sense you.
He calls for the guard again, smile widening at his struggle to find you. "Magnifica!" He claps his hands.
Alice stands still, shaking her head.
You realize why she told you to stay quiet.
"Show yourself dear. I'd like it if you could show me who holds a power such as yours."
You don't move, clutching onto her coverup.
Aro notices and gestures for Jane to use her powers; they don't work because she can't see you.
Caius is irritated and demands you show yourself.
"Before you turned, weren't you ever scared? What do you expect me to do? Roll over and do as you say."
"That is no way to talk to your kings."
Edward huffs, "would you stop delaying this and show yourself already."
They can't see you to see your sarcastic and menacing smirk, although the tallest guard can sense a change in your attitude.
"Excuse me for one second." You stand before him, opening your mind slightly so he knows where to look. "I am so tired of your shit Edward, and you've pissed me off enough today." You hit him in his stomach.
He removes himself from Bella (who screams for someone to help him); as he bends forward, holding it; you grab him by his neck.
You had yet to realize as you fight him, you're not using your power and begin showing yourself.
You lean close to his ear, "better hold on. Wouldn't want you to fall before I'm through with you." You lift him off the ground, his feet dangling (shocking everyone watching) and slam him into the ground.
Kneeling beside him, applying pressure to your grip, watching as the crack appears. "Next time, don't piss me off." You push yourself off the ground, brushing away the imaginary dirt.
You slowly lift your head, realizing they can see you. A shy smile breaks onto your lips, followed by a nervous chuckle, "hey."
Aro claps his hands like crazy, walking towards you with a bounce in his step.
An unmuted scent floods Felix's nose as he stares at you, somehow finding his way beside you.
You notice the way the silent king is gesturing for his brother. "I think your friend wants to chit chat."
He turns and reaches for his hand. "What a pleasant surprise and all thanks to the Cullens and Miss Swan."
You furrow your brows, turning around towards Alice. "Alice?"
She hums.
"I would remove yourself from my sight before I do the same to you as I did your brother."
Her eyes widen, this was not how today was supposed to end. "What? I-"
"Do as I say, they already have someone waiting at the door to escort you. I don't appreciate being lied to and I will not tolerate it. If you don't want your major to end up in a fight, I'd leave."
The three walk away.
You huff, crossing your arms before smirking. "I know you want to hurt me, blondie."
Her glare hardens.
You spin around and chuckle before finding the king’s eyes on you. "I feel like I'm missing something."
"A pleasant discovery has been made today. You are Felix's mate. How wonderful."
You stare at the weird king. "This is not where I saw today going."
He giggles, "I know, dear, but now you get to enjoy your new life within the walls of this castle."
"Is that supposed to persuade me?"
He merely smiles.
-
Some time passes and he's back.
"You haven't moved?"
"I have nowhere to go. No plans, no friends."
He removes his cape, carefully hanging it up.
"Aren't you going to be punished for not wearing a piece of your ensemble?" You chuckle.
He finds himself smirking, it was a good joke (or is he just saying that because of the bond, he doesn't care because you're all he cares about). "Funny."
"I know I am."
"Do you-" he struggles to find the words, not wanting to make you uncomfortable. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Talk about?"
"You know what I'm referring to."
You roll your eyes and chuckle to yourself.
He takes your chin between his thumb and index finger, turning your head to look at him. "I will not allow bratty behavior to come from you."
Your eyes widen.
The corner of his lip curves upward, "still think I'm hot?"
"You know I'm not afraid to fight you."
"I know, watching you take down the Cullen was," he leans in, nuzzling his nose underneath your jawline, placing a tender kiss there. "The highlight of finding my mate."
You melt under his touch before realizing the words he said. You push him back. "I'm sorry. What?"
"You're my mate."
"I heard that."
"It didn't sound like it."
"I," you push yourself out of the seat, walking past him; not noticing him drooling over you as you do.
His eyes never left you as you pace and unintentionally use your powers. He settles himself in the chair. "Where'd you go?"
"I'm still here," you tell him, standing beside him. "It's just- it's a lot to take in, you know."
He nods, "I understand."
"How are you so calm?"
"One of us has to."
You purse your lips.
He reaches for you, pulling you into his lap to calm you. "I know it's going to take a lot before we have a proper bond of trust built but believe me when I say, I'm with you. You are not alone."
You snuggle deeper into his embrace, eyes closing as today’s events took a lot of your energy.
He settles you into his perfectly made bed, watching over you for a few minutes before exiting the room, grabbing his cloak on the way out.
-
You wake, finding no one around.
It saddens you a bit, but you know that he is a busy man and just because he's found you doesn't mean his schedule is going to change entirely.
The burning in your throat returns, how long has it been since you fed? Apparently too long.
You exit the room and search for something, anything to satisfy yourself.
You know a feeding tour is going to happen tonight, they mentioned it earlier.
-
You wander through one too many halls and the faint scent of humans’ wafts through your nose. You follow and find a group being led into the room; you can only assume is the waiting room.
You manage to sneak in using your powers, giving you the advantage of pretending to be one of the tourists and the opportunity to pull one of the humans with you, sinking your fangs into their neck.
The others finish, but you continue, always being one to take your time making it more special (in case it was ever your last time or before you met the Cullens).
Demetri rapidly taps on his friend's shoulder.
Felix groans, tossing the person he fed on aside. "What?"
"Look."
He turns in the direction of where his friend was pointing and finds a peculiar sight. "I think your mate is more than what the kings realized."
He steps away, ignoring the babbling as he makes his way towards you.
You open your eyes, giving whoever is petting your hair a fierce look.
How dare they interrupt your feeding until your eyes focus and you find your mate in front of you, his body blocking yours.
He removes his hand from your hair, reaching for the human's wrist, slowly sinking his fangs into their skin.
As you two finish, he tosses them aside, reaching for your chin.
He pulls you closer like he did earlier, his cold breath fanning against your warm and bloodied lips, sticking his tongue out, licking the last remains away; only he can leave marks on his beloved. "You have some explaining to do."
You nod as if hypnotized before yawning. "After a nap, I can explain everything to you."
He nods and lifts you up into his arms, letting you settle in before he starts exiting the room; ignoring the teasing looks he knows Demetri is throwing his way.
He debates on setting you in his bed or sitting in the chair and letting you rest on him directly. He pulls the covers over you and listens to your soft and calm breathing.
-
You wake to a dark room but know he's still nearby, turning to find your suspicions to be true.
He stays still, keeping his gaze on the book.
"It's upside down."
He tries to read a page and flips it over, finding it to be true. "No wonder I couldn't read it." He furrows his brows, "how'd you know?"
"I sold that book to an annoying man back in my younger days."
"How old are you?"
You lay on your back, staring at the ceiling. "You know, it's never wise to ask a woman her age."
"I can handle you, I'm not afraid to ask." You sped out of the bed, using your powers to gain the upper hand and yank him out of the chair, straddling his lap. Your hand on his neck keeps him hooked to the ground.
He stares up at you amazed by every way you move and think. His hands find their way towards your hips, grounding you to him as if you could sink further into his grasp.
"I'm old, honey."
"Yet you've never looked younger," he smiles up at you.
You roll your eyes and push yourself off him, "you're just desperate for my touch," you tell him with a teasing tone.
He watches you walk around the room before taking your place on the bed.
You cross one leg over the other and slightly lean back, letting your neck rest on your shoulder. "Do you plan on telling them or should I?"
He's quiet, not ready to share you with anyone else (you assume).
"We can wait till tomorrow."
He nods, preferring that option.
"If your friend can keep his mouth shut."
Felix rubs his face with annoyance.
"If he does blab, you should at least know... I'm a rare breed as they say."
"What does that mean?"
"I can survive on human food or blood. My father was a vampire while my mother was human."
"And... then you arrived?"
You nod. "Apparently, my father was, as some say, a man whore and fell for my innocent, virgin mother then their miracle baby arrived but when she died, so did he."
"Why?"
"They were mates, the purest of bond for mates."
"But you were left alone?"
"A doctor found me," a fond smile breaks out onto your face, "and helped the any way he could before he got sick."
"How'd you get involved with the Cullens?"
"I may have," you shrug. "Had to get them out of town before our kind was discovered."
He nods.
"How do you feel?"
"About?"
"This whole mate thing. It was thrown upon you; you didn't really have a choice in this."
"I'm surprisingly, fine."
"Fine? Just fine? I'm kind of freaking out here again and- hey!" You tilt your head to stare into his eyes. "You licked me."
"That was hours ago."
"I- shut up."
He smirks.
-
You don't know when you fell asleep but find yourself waking just before sunrise. You push yourself up and look around the room, searching for the large man (you get to call yours).
"Looking for something?"
You tilt your head and offer a sleepy smile.
"No."
Felix raises a brow, clearly not believing a word out of your mouth. "I informed the kings of what you told me."
"And what they say?"
"Master Aro was pleased. Master Marcus was happy to inform me of our bond and it will become stronger with time."
"The blond one?"
"Master Caius is... it's hard to tell what he's feeling."
You open your mouth to call his name but find yourself drawing a blank. "What was your name again?"
"You don't know my name?"
"The weird one only said it once, what am I supposed to remember every name I hear? I'm a hybrid, not working at a place where I have to remember everyone's names."
He can't help but chuckle, surprised that you two didn't at least share this simple piece of information. "Felix. My name is Felix."
You smile and tell him yours in return.

How to be Human (Felix x Fem!Reader Oneshot)
Summary: Peace couldn’t always be for forever. The love of your life has been hurt, after he had constantly worried for your safety being in jeopardy. What happens when a man as strong and formidable as a mountain becomes human?
CW: None, hurt/comfort vibes, angst.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vampires and humans in relationships weren't rare, but uncommon enough that if such a thing were to happen, certain precautions were to be taken.
He'd always worried about me. I'm "small and fragile compared to him", after all. I'd always tell him, "Honey, I'm surrounded by vampires, one of them being you. It's gonna be fine."
I hadn't given much thought to the concept of someone hurting him.
I loved our shared room. It was cozy; Felix was a little bit plain when it came to décor save for some mounted weapons on the wall from his human days circa two thousand-something years ago.
Granted I was no grand interior designer myself. My contributions have been posted plants and one stylized painting of a cat meme done in the same style as Starry Night. Felix grudgingly let me hang that.
It was home. Our home.
I hope he comes home soon. Its supposed to be today. He'd been sent out on a job to look into some weird humans who'd supposedly been spreading the word about vampires in Italy, some odd 20 miles from Volterra.
Sunlight slowly creeped into the room through the curtain, engulfing the room in a gentle golden glow.
A knock brought me out of my calm reverie. Reluctantly, I rolled off the bed and trudged over to the door. Demetri stood there, white as a ghost. There was a faraway look in his eyes that immediately sparked alarm bells in my mind. “Dem, what’s wrong? Where’s Felix?”
Demetri swallowed. “He - I need to tell you something, dear. You’re not going to like this.”
My heart sped up. “Is he - no no, please tell me isn’t dea-”
Demetri grabbed me by the shoulders, his gaze intense. “No. Calm yourself. He is alive, but badly hurt. He wanted me to come talk to you to prepare you for the condition he’s in.”
 “What kind of condition?” I whispered, my mind going to the worst possible scenarios. Did he get burned? A burn was what I considered the worst. His beautiful face that always gave me the biggest smile whenever his eyes met mine.
Wordlessly Demetri held his hand for me to take. “I’ll take you to him now. I can explain on the way.”
My darling mate - my partner, my boyfriend, husband, soulmate -  had been attacked by a gifted vampire that temporarily took away his immortality. I watched him writhe uncomfortably in  a room some guards had set up as a temporary sick bay for him. Demetri and two others in the room who’s faces I didn’t recognize shared lost glances as the once strong vampire moaned and groaned in pain. They swiftly excused themselves, leaving me and Demetri alone with Felix.
 “Felix?” I cried out, moving past Demetri and to Felix’s side. I cupped my hand against his cheek; he was so clammy... Seeing his skin flush with color was so jarring, after being accustomed to his pale skin.
His eyes fluttered, squeezing shut momentarily before brown eyes met mine. Brown. Not red. The familiar vermillion gone and replaced with a woodsy brown. I couldn’t help the sob that left my lips and I pressed my forehead against his.
 “Cara mia, you don’t need to see me like this,” he rasped. A sickly stench reached my nose and I recognized it was vomit. He’d been vomiting.
 “Well I’m here,” I retorted, softly, pulling back to give him an empathetic look. “Have you eaten? Had water?”
Felix’s brows scrunched. “Uh, water yes,” he replied slowly. “No food.”
He looked past me toward his best friend, the two sharing a long silent exchange.
The cogs were spinning in my head faster than I could keep up with. But I got the jist of the look. Turning my head to Demetri as well, I quietly asked him, “When was the last time he ate?”
Demetri opened and closed his mouth. He couldn’t meet my eyes, instead choosing to continue looking at Felix. “...We hadn’t thought of it, I’m so sorry.”
I loved Demetri. He had been an absolute sweetheart since I began living in Italy with Felix. I considered him a brother. A dear friend. Whenever Felix was away he’d be right there to keep me company, all I had to do was ask when he wasn’t busy. The fury the coursed through my veins at the immortal’s foolishness burned hot in my blood.
 “He’s been turned human and you didn’t think he’d need to be fed? How long has he been like this?”
 “Y/N,” Felix croaked. I shushed him gently, stroking his face.
 “How long?” I asked again, my voice cracking.
A short, five second silence filled the room.
 “Three days,” Demetri said so softly I almost didn’t catch it.
 “Three days?” I growled.
That’s it. Absolutely not. I rose to my feet, my hands gliding down Felix’s sweaty arms. “I’m taking him. I will care for him. How could you guys not have thought that maybe after, what, a millennia of immortality he wouldn’t need some kind of nourishment other than water?”
 “Two millennia,” Felix added, “I’m two thousand years old, baby girl.”
 “Darling I love you so much but please, let me handle this.”
I had to think. We had a kitchen in the castle, which had a considerate amount of dust plastered all over the countertops. No fridge. No modern or semi-modern-ish oven to work with. To be fair, only myself and the receptionists were the only humans in the castle that lived for longer than an hour long tour. And the receptionist had lunch breaks. Me, on the other hand, I’d either get lunch or go to the little apartment Felix had purchased for us in the city.
He wanted us to have privacy to get to know each other, when the bond was first realized.
So I stormed out of the room shouting a command to Demetri to get him some water but not to let Felix drink all of it at once. If it had been days since he ate, he needed food immediately. There was a little sandwich place nearby that I love and adore. A simple footlong should sate him... hopefully.
                                                              ~~~
 “Here, have this.”
I set the footlong onto Felix’s lap. I didn’t want to upset his stomach with anything too over the top. A simple ham and provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, mayo and honey mustard. Granted I just ordered what I normally get. But regardless, the sandwich would be perfect for his weakened state.
Demetri was openly staring at Felix, watching his every move. Felix looked at the sandwich, then to me, then to Demetri and repeated the cycle, his face turning a shade darker.
If he wasn’t starved like a dog, I’d be gushing over him blushing in embarrassment.
 “Dem stop with the staring,” I scolded him.
He cleared his throat, averting his eyes to the wall in front of him.
Gingerly, Felix picked up the sandwich, eyeing it like it was a small gross creature in his grasp. So much hesitation came with the first bite. While I sat with him I watched him attempt to chew. He had the idea of chewing down - the manners of keeping his mouth closed. He’d seen me eat. He knows how chewing works in theory.
In practice?
It was like watching a five year old try to be polite at the dinner table at a family gig.
After three bites he pushed the sandwich away, wrapping it back up and placing it on an end table next to the bed. I wanted to take away the sadness in him. He slouched in defeat, wrapping his arms around his stomach.
I reached out to wipe away some mayo at the corner of his mouth, giving him a reassuring smile. “It’ll take a bit until you feel a little better,” I informed him.
Felix pulled his knees up to his chest, resting his chin there. “Any word on the location of the one that did this to me?” He asked Demetri. I tried not to let it show he chose to ignore me. Not eating for thousands of years and suddenly needing to had to be a shock to his system...
But still, the way he couldn’t look me in the eyes...
 “I’ll be setting out soon with the twins to retrieve them. I know their location. They will be brought to justice,” he hissed, reaching out to clap Felix on the shoulder, albeit a bit too rough, the now human executioner grunting at Demetri’s hard handed reassurance.
 “Demetri’s got this, honey,” I added, sharing a worried look with the tracker who had become like a brother to me. “He knows I’ll find a way to kick his ass if he doesn’t.”
Demetri chuckled. Felix didn’t.
A ghost of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
Loud growling from Felix’s stomach interrupted the flow of conversation.
Shaking his head, Demetri gently squeezed my shoulder with words of comfort before he bid farewell to us, leaving the two of us alone.
 “Let’s get you home, yeah?” I stood up and grabbed his discarded clothes that covered a nearby chair, setting them on the bed in front of him.
Felix slowly grabbed his shirt, taking pause. “If I don’t become immortal again...”
I sat next to him on the bed, replacing the shirt in his hands with my hands. “You will.”
 “But if I don’t.” he snarled, finally meeting my eyes. Tears brimmed in them threatening to spill over. “If, I don’t, I can’t protect you properly. I’m so, so sorry I failed you this way Y/N.”
Now it was my turn to be confused. “Failed me?” I repeated. “How? By becoming human for a little while? This isn’t your fault!”
 “By becoming weak! I promised you the day we confessed our love for each other that I would take care of you. You’re in my world now, embroiled in all the vampire nonsense and the politics, and the danger that comes with it. I need to be my strongest to make sure you’re always well protected and now that I’m mortal I cannot protect you from my kind.”
 “I don’t expect you to bear that weight alone!” I let go to cup his face in my hands, our eyes locked on each others. “We belong to each other, that means both of us protects the other, not just you taking care of me!” I reminded him.
That silenced him for a moment. “So, you don’t feel let down at all by me?”
This was what he was worrying about?
I responded by pressing my lips to his softly, putting as much passion and “I love you so much” energy behind it that I hoped he’d understand what I was trying to convey with my actions. “Not one bit, I breathed against his lips.
Strong arms wrapped around my shoulders, pulling me into his chest. I melted into his hold, throwing my arms around his neck, enjoying the sensation of his arms around me. Human or vampire I don’t think I’d ever get tired of his touch.
Time became obsolete. I don’t know how long we stayed like that for. The sun had dimmed in brightness by the time we pulled away from each other. “Let’s go home, you can eat the rest of that when we get back and I’ll show you some good things about behind human. I plan on taking full advantage of this situation.”
Felix chuckled, wiping the tears from his face and looking at me with so much adoration I was thankful he couldn’t hear my heart falter under his intense, loving gaze. “Say less. Unless it involves the two of us in bed and me making you scream my name over and over again, then please tell me more.”
I threw his coat at his face with a giggle. “Felix!” I gasped, giving him a scolding look. The bastard knew what that kind of talk did to me. A small fire flickered to life that only he could douse.
Despite everything he smirked, knowing exactly what was going on in my mind and body. “You said we should take advantage of the situation. Now I can fuck you without wanting to drink your blood and you expect my train of thought to not go there when you say things like that?”
Oh I hated him and loved him fiercely. “Get dressed. I was talking about like, eating chocolate and things like that. Sleeping, for gods sake!”
 “There’ll be sleeping to come after you do, don’t worry darling.”
 “Get dressed. Now.”
 He put his shirt on and threw the covers off his body, swinging his legs out of the bed. Shaking his head he shimmied into his clothes. “Yes ma’am, what you say goes.”
We walked out of Volterra hand in hand back to our little piece of paradise we call home. I had full faith Demetri will find a way to reverse what’s been done. But for now, it’s time to take advantage and show my previously-a-vampire mate the fun parts of being human.
I found this writing of mine from February, inspired by this post. Of course, this is an AU where Twilight vampires sleep. You can find this on AO3 as well!
PLEASE DO NOT REPOST MY WORK.
You had woken up hours before him and were thankful your room was facing East. You loved watching the sun rise as your mate, Felix, slept.
His mild snores were the only sound in the room as the sun shone through the large window. When the angle was just right, his skin and the sun would create the most beautiful prisms of rainbows and light that would slowly dance across the room as the sun traveled through the sky.
You sat up against the headboard, taking in the sight of Felix’s large, muscular arms wrapped around his mound of pillows. He enjoyed sleeping on his stomach, and you could see the muscles in his back contract whenever he shifted in his sleep. His black hair stuck out every which way and you couldn’t help but to reach out and run your hand through it.
Felix inhaled deeply, his dark ruby eyes fluttering awake at your touch. When he saw you he smiled into his pillows and yawned. “Good morning, my love.” He murmured sleepily. He grabbed his pillows and threw them to the foot of the bed and crawled to you. “My dreams missed you.” He buried his face in your lap and wrapped his arms around you. A small grumble left his mouth as he briefly stretched before relaxing onto you.
“I’m sorry,” you frowned, petting his soft hair with one hand and rubbing his smooth, firm shoulders with the other hand. “I didn’t mean to wake you, my sweet.”
He smiled and nuzzled his face against you, peeking up with one eye. “I have woken up to you every day for over a hundred years, agapi mou.” You smiled, loving when he slipped into his native Greek. “And I will wake to you for thousands more. It will never be enough.”
You couldn’t help but to smile, feeling your chest swell with love. “I love you, my Felix.” You sighed, still petting his hair. “You will never know how much.” You hugged him close for a brief moment before he moved.
Felix rolled onto his back, rubbing an eye with one hand, the other still under your legs. “Come, let me hold you.” He turned his head to look at you expectantly. He waved his hand for you to hurry, flashing you a charming smile.
You wrinkled your nose at him playfully. “I wasn’t done holding you yet.” You pushed yourself away from the headboard and crawled to him, nestling yourself under his arm, resting your head on his chest.
“Well, you got to watch me wake up this morning, so I think it is only fair for me to hold you. An honest trade, isn’t it?” He planted a soft kiss on the top of your head.
“Hm.” You hummed softly, nuzzling your face against his chest. “I guess.” You teased, smiling wide.
Felix began to quietly sing his ancient Greek lullabies to you, his long fingers gently playing with your hair. He did this every time you woke earlier than him. He knew it would put you right back to sleep so he could have his own turn to watch you sleep and later wake up, groggy and smiling up at him.
You did not fight the feeling when sleep began to blanket your consciousness, smiling softly knowing you would have the privilege to wake up to him.
Chapter 24 of the self-indulgent kind of historical Volturi oc fic is out! Uh, this one has Immortal Children in it so it gets somewhat dark (I say like other chapters aren’t also pretty dark).
As always, it is a time.
ʚɞ
Pulling back the old curtains of your childhood home the familiar image of the Swan house came into view and the muscles of your jaw tensed on their own accord. Wrapping your scarf tighter around your neck and pulling your wool hat over your ears you stepped out of the front door, onto the porch. You were weary, well aware of the fact that if was snowing and there was more than likely ice waiting to send you sliding down the concrete stairs.
You lived in the house on the opposite side of the street. Both you and Bella had grown up together, practically conjoined from the moment she arrived back in Forks every time she would visit her father right up until the moments she had to leave.
That was until she left when she you were around thirteen, confessing to you that she wouldn’t be coming back to visit again anytime soon. You remembered the moment all too well, as if it was yesterday, the memory replaying in the forefront of your mind.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
You both let out rather loud giggles as you lay together upon your bed, flipping through old magazines you had stolen from your mother and gossiping like the preteen girls you were.
“Oh! I should get going… dad said I have to be home by six today! Early flight and all tomorrow” Bella rolled her eyes as she spoke and another giggle elicited from you as you sat up.
“How long are you going for this time?” You had questioned innocently and the atmosphere immediately changed as your room was suddenly full of an uncomfortable stuffiness. That was when she confessed.
“Um.. I don’t… I’m not really planning on coming back anytime soon…”
“What do you mean?” You tilted your head in confusion.
“Mom said that we’re moving again… but it’s going to be more permanent this time and I just… I don’t really like coming here that much anyway…”
“Oh…”
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
You recalled the tight feeling in your throat and the burn of tears behind your eyes. Yes you lived in the small town for your entire life but you had never really had many friends, none with the bond you had shared with the Swan girl and you definitely did not want to be friends with people like Jessica Stanley.
When Bella had moved back it was almost relieving and you both fell back into your old ways quickly. Staying at each others houses late, gossiping, sharing books and little trinkets.
That was until he came into the picture.
If you knew one thing it was that you absolutely despised Edward Cullen. Especially for taking your best friend away again just to leave her. Alone. In the middle of the woods. In the middle of September. What a jerk.
You were snapped out of your thoughts at the sound of voices, averting your eyes as you saw both Bella and her devil spawn step out of the house. Your lips parted as you made eye contact, and she threw you a glare turning to face Edward.
“Y/N, are you coming or not?” You heard the voice of your father yell from the car and you sighed before pulling the door shut and locking it.
“Coming!”
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Bella please!”
You heard the yell from your spot on your couch and you rushed outside to see the commotion. Crossing the road and eyeing the sharp look of Alice.
“Bella is convinced she is going to Italy to save her leech..” Jacob hissed.
“Leech?” You whispered in confusion before shaking your head “Bella you cant just leave and go to Italy right now, what about your dad?”
“I’m 18. It’s legal.” She rolled her eyes and you huffed. Why did she always have to be so stubborn?
“Well then i’m coming with you.” You had reached for the handle to the backseat of the car and slid in. That was when Alice paused, Bella throwing a worried look in her direction. After a moment of silence she spoke up.
“Y/N I can’t let you come”
“Why not?”
“It’s not… safe for you.”
“Well either i’m going or both me and Bella or staying… and by the looks of it she’s not willing to get out of the car” You turned and strapped yourself in and Alice huffed under her breath before muttering a sharp ‘have it your way’ and speeding off.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
The rest was quite blurry for you, only remembering certain snippets of their explanations on the plane ride there. You were informed about the existence of vampires, how Bella and Edward were mated, Alice’s vision… all that boring stuff. You remembered one moment very well though.
The moment you made eye contact with him. The way his eyes softened as he took you in. The feel of his hand lightly brushing your back as you stood in the elevator.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Interesting” You heard the raven haired king hum, dropping your hand as he turned to look at the giant, seeking for his hand. He let out a loud laugh as you flinched back only to find Edward had pulled Bella back a few feet. You turned to look at him, eyes darting between him and the smaller Cullen next to them.
“What’s going on?” Your voice was accusing as you eyed them before you turned back to the man in front of you who was still looking at Felix.
“My dear, you have finally found your mate”
You remember the flip of your stomach, heartbeat increasing. You turned a hateful gaze back to Alice.
“You knew…” You spoke carefully as you put the pieces together. Your voice raised as she shook her head.
“You knew and you tried to stop me from coming!”
“Y/N…”
You only glared at her as the blonde king quickly moved back to the situation at hand.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
They had granted you all until graduation, Felix would visit you frequently while you continued the rest of your education and Edward had until then to turn his mate. The journey home was awkward to say the least. You and Alice had argued back and fourth in the reception once Demetri had guided you out of the throne room and after that they refused to acknowledge you. You rolled your eyes at the memory - the audacity of them to think it was you who was in the wrong, as if any of this was your fault.
They were furious that you had allowed him to speak to you, let alone touch you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“What do you want?” you heard Edwards menacing hiss as the vampire came into frame, lifting your head from where you had buried them into your knees to see what was happening.
“I’m here to speak to my mate. You will do well to back off before I put you through the wall again.”
You hoped his eyes wouldn’t fall onto you however the hope was quickly crushed as his gaze moved right to you, holding a large hand out to you.
“May I take a moment of your time?”
You sighed, half tempted to look to the others for guidance however you stopped yourself when you remembered they now wanted nothing to do with you. So you took his hand, uncurling yourself from the position you was in and allowed him to guide you out into a seemingly abandoned hallway.
“I apologise for the… violence… you had to witness, I did not intend for it to startle you.” Clearly he had heard the way your breathing had shallowed and your heartbeat increase then.
“It’s.. it’s fine” You struggled to find the right words to speak to the stranger in front of you and you shifted your weight from one foot to another awkwardly.
“You are so much more beautiful than I had imagined” You were convinced you weren’t meant to hear that, tilting your head to look up at him. You took in his face, the bright red of his eyes, the way his hair fell softly over his forehead and you couldn’t help but feel entranced. His hand lifted as if on it’s own accord and he searched your eyes carefully.
“May I?” His voice was deep as he spoke and you gave him a weary nod, jolting at the current that ran through your body as his cold hand made contact with your cheek, running his thumb across your cheekbone. You let out a breathe you had no idea you were holding and melted into him as he pulled you into him.
“I have finally found you.”
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
You smiled at the memory, watching the scenery blur by the window of the car. For once you felt at ease, as if everything was perfect.
That was how you knew, you were exactly where you needed to be. You knew it all too well.
Chapter 2
The relief on Aro’s face as you stepped into the throne room was visible for everyone to see.
“Our family is whole again.”  He purred, “Welcome home (Name).”
You grinned, “I apologise for the delay in my return.  There were a few pests I needed to deal with.”
“And have they been?” Alabaster inquired.
You shook your head and gazed at your friend with a touch of annoyance, “If they weren’t dealt with, I wouldn’t be standing here right now.”
“Just checking.  Claymore told me to say hello.”
“Please give my regards to him.”  You replied before greeting Sulpicia, Athenodora, Felix, Jane, and Alec.
Moments later, you climbed the dais and Aro held out his hand.  Without hesitation, you placed your hand in his.  Aro’s eyes glazed over as he viewed your memories.
“You did well,” he praised, releasing your hand.
You greeted Caius with a nod which he returned and after promising to sit down with him for a game of chess, you made your way over to Marcus’ throne.  When you were close enough, the King rested his elbow on the arm of his throne and you linked your fingers with his.
Had you not had visitors, Marcus would have pulled you onto his lap and held you close.  You felt a brief stab of resentment that that wasn’t the case.
“You’re Marcus’ mate!” A golden-eyed, auburn vampire cried.
“And you’re rude.”  Alabaster snapped back.
“Edward, control yourself.”  Aro chided.
“So, you’re the mind-reader Aro told me about,” you fixed the young-looking vampire with a glare.
“Indeed he is.”  Aro allowed.  “Permit me to introduce you to the Cullens.”
Quickly Aro introduced you to each member of the Cullen family.  Aro introduced Bella last, as she was the youngest of the family, and you focused on her as Caius spoke.
“To further prove that your relationship with Edward is not a good one, can you explain why you were okay with Edward climbing into your room at night to watch you sleep repeatedly?”
“That crosses so many lines,” you spoke before Bella could.  “At the very least, it’s breaking and entering.”
Bella winced, “He said it was soothing.”
“I’m noticing a pattern here,” Jane remarked.  “Everything seems to come down to Edward’s wants and desires.  I believe that is called manipulation and it has no part in a meaningful relationship.”
“I agree,” Rosalie spoke.  Had you met her when you were at Camp before you met the Volturi and found out that you were Marcus’ mate, you would have asked her for styling tips.  There was a casual elegance to her that you found yourself admiring.
“Rest assured, we will definitely be bringing this to Carlisle and Esme’s attention,” she continued.
“There’s no need for that.”  Edward protested, “I was there to protect Bella from harm.  Yes, I did find it soothing but my main intention was to protect Bella.”
“I find that very hard to believe,” Alabaster leant forwards.  “Despite the liberties that some immortals take in our world,” each member of the Volturi knew that he was referencing the Greek gods and not the vampires around the globe, “there are lines that even they do not cross.  Well, except for one immortal.”
“Yes, but he’s never been very good with self-control.”
Alabaster immediately understood who you were referring to.
“What happens now?” Jasper inquired.  There was an undertone in his voice similar to the one Sulpicia had when she spoke.  Like Sulpicia, the undertone in Jasper’s voice suggested that he was much older than he appeared to be but you doubted that he was as old as Sulpicia who had been the last Roman demigod born before Rome fell.
“That is part of our dilemma,” Aro admitted.  “The last time that you visited us, you were permitted to leave under the condition that you were changed into a vampire in the near future as we believed that you were truly Edward’s mate.  Knowing what we do now,” Aro gazed stonily at Edward.  “I do not believe that it would be in any of our best interests if you were to leave here with Edward and resume your relationship as if nothing had occurred.”
“You’re going to force me to stay here?!” The volume of Bella’s voice and the outrage in her tone had the Volturi guard snarling.
“NO!”  Edward roared before going rigid.
“Perhaps then, you would prefer my second suggestion.”  Aro continued as if there had been no interruption.
“I’m not listening to anything you have to say until she” Bella shot a venomous look at Jane, “stops hurting him.”
“And the gods thought I was petulant,” Alabaster muttered.  You did your best to stifle a snort of amusement.
Edward remained immobile on the floor.
“Jane, you’ve had your fun.”  Aro chided.  “While some of us have eternity to wait until Edward learns manners, others do not.”
Clearly disappointed, Jane released Edward from her control and the young vampire laid on the floor panting unnecessarily.
“My second suggestion is that members of the Volturi guard and perhaps a King,” Aro looked at Marcus from the corner of his eye, “journey with you to Forks.  There we will monitor your relationship with Edward and should we deem it necessary, permanently dissolve the relationship.”
“You have that much power?” Bella gasped.
Demetri smiled mockingly, “And more.”
Marcus’ thumb rubbed reassuringly across your knuckles as he tried to ease your mind.  You knew that he wasn’t fond of leaving Volterra and would not do so unless he absolutely had to.  You forced down the desire to complain.  You had just returned to your mate and now Aro wanted to send him on a mission despite his clear reluctance?  It wasn’t fair.
“You know why he would suggest Marcus over Caius.”  The more rational side of your brain whispered, “Marcus is known for his skills throughout the vampiric world as a diplomat while Caius is known as the ‘blood-thirsty one.’  If a situation were to break out in Forks, Marcus would diffuse it unless it threatened your safety or the Volturi’s.  Then he could be even blood-thirstier than Caius.”
“May I propose a third option, Aro?”
Startled, you gazed at Alabaster who was regarding the Vampire King with a contemplative expression.  Aro’s lips twitched and you realised that Aro had planned this.  The Cullens had acted exactly the way that he knew they would.
Silently and with an amused lilt to his lips, Aro gave Alabaster permission to voice his option.
“I propose that I cast a time distortion spell which will allow Bella and the Cullens to remain in Italy for a week.  Then based on the observations we have made with our own eyes; we shall pass judgement and decide upon our next course of action.”
Emmett stepped forward, “If we spend a week here, how much time will pass in Forks?”
“One hour.”  Alabaster replied.
Emmett grinned, “His proposal sounds reasonable.”
“EMMETT!” Alice shrieked in betrayal.
Rosalie’s jaw locked as she glared at her ‘sister.’  “Be careful how you address my mate.”  She warned threateningly, “Emmett speaks the truth.”
“I agree,” Jasper drawled.
“Even if Alice and Edward disagree with Alabaster’s proposal, like I think they’re going to, there’s one more opinion to consider.  It’s Bella’s.  The question is: will she agree with Alabaster’s proposal?  Or will she try and maintain her standing in the Cullen family by siding with Edward and Alice?”
“Will the magic have different effects on the different residents of Forks?”  Bella questioned.
Alabaster arched a critical brow, “No.  My magic does not discriminate between what some might call the mythological beings of the world.  One hour for a human will be one hour for a vampire.”
“In that case,” Bella chewed her bottom lip for a few moments before coming to a decision.  “Your proposal makes sense.”
“Splendid!” Aro crowed triumphantly, “Then we shall proceed with Alabaster’s plan.  Cast the spell if you would, Alabaster.”  The delight on his face was visible for everyone in the throne room to see.  Caius, Athenadora and Sulpicia, as well as the guard, had cottoned on to the fact that Aro had manipulated the visitors and it had turned out exactly as he planned.  There were varying degrees of amusement, admiration, and victory on the faces of the vampires in the room.
Said demigod climbed to his feet and stood at his impressive height of six feet and two inches and focused on his jeans brushing some imaginary dirt off of them.  When his head snapped back up, the varied gasps from the Cullens told you that his green eyes were glowing with the power that he had inherited from his mother.
“Incantare: tardus tempus!” He boomed.
The air around Alabaster flashed green for the tiniest second before the air around the demigod flattened itself out like a wave and pushed forwards rising and accelerating at a rapid, increasing speed.  It passed over the Cullens and Bella.  You had the oddest feeling that the magical wave knew exactly who its intended target was.  Knowing Alabaster as well as you did, you wouldn’t be surprised if the demigod had focused on the destination and beings prior to releasing his magic.
“Now that that has been resolved,” Aro stated smoothly when he was certain that Alabaster’s spell had left Volterra, “perhaps we should show our guests to the rooms that they will be using for the duration of their stay?”
I love overprotective fics, either as the reader being overprotective or the character
Alex
Alec typically doesn't give a shit
What he didn't take into account is that you would
But he still can't hold back his arrogant grin when he sees the head roll to the other side of the room
"you love me" his voice is teasing, though you both already knew it to be true
Jane
WHO
The
Fuck
Would
Dare???
One) they're shared or her
Two) after that brutal display, they're scared of you
The only way this would of happened is behind her back, which is exactly why they have no skin left of theirs ;)
Demetri
It's rare for demetri to feer ashamed, to be ridiculed
He's usually so put together
So charasmatic
But just this once, the mask slipped
And it made his unbeating heart break, only to be stitched and glued back together by you - the supposedly calm one in the couple
Yes, you lost your shit
Yes, you were technically 'bad'
But it still made his heart swell when you ripped the stone where that dick heads heart shouted be right out of his chest
And the way you gouged out the woman's eyes nearly brought appreciative tears to his
Felix
Felix is a big guy, the intimidating one. The 'executioner'
But while he may be big and burley out the outside, he's still a sensitive sweetheart on the inside
It's just that the centuries of life experience he has made him harden his shell
He puts up a good poker face
And while they have no idea they got to him, everyone knows they certainly got to you
Why else would they be doing a treasure hunt? Only this time they have to find their fingers, and go through the painful process of waiting for their shattered skit to heal and their limbs to reattach
I started reading Tuebor and I love it. Already on ch 9 and I can't wait to read the rest!! 👏🏾 One of the best stories.
I have come to ask, ponder even maybe, on your first chapter how you talked about Felix and his newborn phase ...I really enjoyed that (I also HC that he was a difficult newborn because of his strength and anger - from his human life, fighting and feeling this anger towards how his life turned out) and was curious if you have any more to add to that?
hi! i can definitely say more, but do you mean in the context of my fic or the world of twilight in general? truthfully all of my headcanons specifically in relation to felix's newborn phase don't fit into twilight canon because of julia - she's the catalyst in all of this. however, as for how he rose ranks, i picture it being the same in both tuebor and in twilight.
