The Cain instinct
I demand canon moments where Silver and Malleus treat each other like siblings whenever they're alone, especially if Lilia or Sebek aren't around them. Where they show that outside of their typical treatment of respect is the fact that they were raised by the same man whom they both consider their father. They love each other eternally, they would kill, they would die and they are capable of destroying the entire world for each other, one to a greater extent than the other.
Especially since I'm sure they both have ridiculously strong Cain instincts.
One day you are a prince taking care of your caregiver's adopted son and the next a being who lives in an eternal circle of revenge and destruction towards the cruelty of humanity (Silver bit his finger when he was 8 years old and Malleus pecked his eye in Consequently, they continue to blame each other whenever they can)
Imagine a Silver who fell asleep in the forest and Malleus just finds him. If Lilia, Sebek or anyone was near him he would feign complete concern and take him to his bedroom. But he's alone, so he's going to wake up the young man he considers his brother with a loving kick in the ribs (nothing too hard, he wants to bother him, not kill him).
Or a malleus who is simply reading and out of nowhere feels a wet finger in his ear, a finger that belongs to a 17-year-old with a smile too kind for someone who has just drooled in the ear of the next king of the Briar Valley , and someone who is also a coward since he runs away the moment the older man gets up from his seat.
It is better if neither of them knows what is happening, they just know that there are days when they have to be mean to the other or they will go crazy, they have accepted it as a royal decree and will continue it until the end of their days. .
Imagine that no one knows about this kind of treatment, until someone enters Diasomnia only to find the all-powerful Malleus Draconia screaming like a dying child because Silver has him in a wrestling hold (which it is very obvious he can get out of, but… Where's the fun in that?)
Anyway, I need an irrational Malleus and Silver being a shitty little brother. I leave my delusions here.

ooohh could i have a and e for ranpo?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: physical abuse, disrespect of boundaries.
yan alphabet prompt.
Tumblr media
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
Ranpo is very touchy, but in the way a clingy cat is almost. He hugs you as if he's trying to break your ribs and fuse your flesh to his. He can and will lay on top of you for hours so that you won't get up and leave him. I can see it going into a slightly violent territory where he'd bite you a little too hard, squeeze your wrist to the point of bruising, etc. Ranpo also does not give a single fuck about your feelings and boundaries so he'll rarely apologize. If he hurts, he'll just let you patch yourself up when he's bored and then do it again all over again. Ranpo prioritizes his appetite over your comfort.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
I think Ranpo is willing to let you see the "cuter" or more acceptable parts of his vulnerability but the really scary and important stuff, he reserves for himself alone. He doesn't want you to see too much of his weaknesses or else you might exploit it. Or worse, you could lose any respect you still have for him.

Writing WIP Wednesday (1/24)
For Chapter 22 of Best-Laid Plans - Miranja and Athis getting better acquainted.
I haven't written much in the last month. Barely picking at this chapter. Haven't drawn anything since Christmas. Long slump. Winter feels like a time for looking inward, coming up with ideas, germinating. I hope to have some things rolling - downhill, with momentum - by spring. In the meantime, here's part of a scene that's taken me weeks to grind out. Tagging my friends, but no obligation to read or share something if you're not inclined. @dirty-bosmer @guarmommy @gwilin-stay-winnin @mareenavee @skyrim-forever @thana-topsy @thechaosdragoness @thequeenofthewinter
As they took adjacent seats at the table, Miranja commented, “You know, I’ve been all over Skyrim, and I’ve noticed that there are only a few cities where Dunmer live. Winterhold, where the college was once well populated with Dunmer, but now there are only a few left. Windhelm – ” Here Athis briefly interrupted her with a derisive snort. “ – where the Dunmer live and work but are treated as second-class citizens. Riften, where the Dunmer live and work alongside everyone else, including Argonians, and everyone but Khajiit are accepted with open arms. And here, where you and Irileth are esteemed members of society.”
“So what’s your point?” Athis asked, washing down his bread and cheese with a swig from his bottle of ale.
“I don’t know, maybe I’m just being silly. Please don’t take this as condescending; it’s really not. I just feel rather proud of you for making a name for yourself in this mostly prejudiced province. I mean, I respect you.” She turned to look him directly in the eyes. “Also, you’re the only Dunmer I know, besides Irileth, who’s an actual warrior. It takes a different kind of strength and courage to be a warrior. I didn’t come here to be a warrior; I came here to be a mage. But I’ve felt obligated to become one since learning I was Dragonborn and that Alduin has returned. I’ve always been just a girl, and now everyone sees me as the savior of Skyrim. Of all Tamriel, even.”
She was, to an extent, fishing for sympathy and comfort, but Athis was oblivious to her hinting and was not inclined to coddle her even if he had noticed. “Well,” he said, “you’re in the right place if you’re looking for ‘elp in becoming a better warrior. We all ‘ave our specialties here. Farkas can teach you about two-handed weapons, Vilkas is good wif heavy armor, Njada earned the name Stone-Arm because she’s great wiv a shield – but don’t tell ‘er I said that.”
Miranja smiled wryly, remembering the first time she’d entered Jorrvaskr and witnessed his maybe-not-so-friendly spar with Njada. She’d been humiliated right along with him, but she hadn’t even known his name yet and she hadn’t wanted to say or do anything to embarrass him. Now that she had him talking, though, she had to satisfy her curiosity.
“What is the deal with you and Njada? I don’t know if you remember, but I happened to come in here for the first time just as you and Njada were ‘discussing your differences.’”
“I knew you looked familiar. Yes, now that I think about it… you asked my name, didn’t you?”
“Yes, and you told me. Then it seems you promptly forgot about me,” she ribbed. “But I remembered you.”
“Well, I was a bit preoccupied, if you’ll recall,” Athis replied defensively.
“It’s okay, Athis. I’m just teasing you. So…?”
“So, she’s got this ‘strong Nord woman’ attitude. If you’ve ever ‘eard Olfina Grey-Mane goin’ on about that, it’s because they’re friends. Njada can beat any man at Jorrvaskr in a fight – except Farkas, the big brawny s’wit. And I say that in the most loving o’ ways. Nord or not, he’s treated me like a brother since the day I joined. Anyway, it’s a superiority thing for ‘er. She likes to test everyone - and 'erself - about once a month. You just ‘appened to walk in on me getting my turn.”
“Ahh, so you’re saying that if I hang around here enough, I can expect her to do the same to me.”
“Exactly.”
They ate their fill, Miranja glancing stealthily at Athis every few moments, watching what he chose to eat, how his used his hands, listening to the sounds he made as he ate and replenished his body.
Something about sharing food and eating together seemed intimate to her; not just with Athis, but with anyone. Sometimes, food was scarce and hard-won, and the act of sharing it was generosity at its finest, helping others to survive, stoking their life force. This wasn’t one of those times of scarcity, but Miranja still enjoyed sharing meals with people whether she was on the giving or the receiving end of the deal. She’d shared the idea of the intimacy of sharing food with her parents once. They’d been surprised and intrigued by her point of view, and wondered, as they had many times before about some of her other ideas, how she’d reached that conclusion. She knew she was odd, but she didn’t care, when her ideas were pleasing to her.

“Is that my shirt?”
Tumblr media
Character: Ayaka x Reader.
Warnings: None that apply!
Notes: Puppy love with Ayaka, my favorite thing ever <3 In which you’re smitten with her, and she’s just as smitten with you!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Is there anything else I can do for you, my lord?”
Your voice comes out stern and professional. It’s always like that when you speak to Ayato, the Head Commissioner of the Yashiro Commission, also Head of the Kamisato Clan. He is a very respectful man, tirelessly cunning with his job, endlessly caring when it came to giving his all for Inazuma.
And also, older brother of the woman you’re in love with. He gives you enough reasons to be nothing but professional and efficient when working under his wing.
“Please, drop the formalities. The expedition is over and it was an utter success.” His voice is always gentle towards you. You’ve been his bodyguard for quite many years now, and you’ve been infatuated with his sister for even longer, if you even dare to entertain the thought. He’s a righteous man, and he’s long since accepted you as part of the small Kamisato family. “I believe some recognition for your assistance these past couple of days is in order. But as of now, I think there’s someone who would like to see you first. We’ll leave the etiquette for tomorrow morning. You’re dismissed for the night, my friend.”
You don’t forget to bow slightly to him before you make your way out. The hallways of the Kamisato state are dark at night, the only light coming through the windows is the faint moonlight, casting blue shadows as you make your way to her room. It’s only been three days, but you’ve missed her dearly. You can feel the beating of your heart sitting behind your ears when you slide the door open.
“I’m home, Lady Ayaka.” You’re so nervous to see her again, the formal title slips off your lips with rehearsed ease.
You find her sitting on the edge of her bed, some documents spread wide on the covers. Her face immediately lit up to the sound of your voice, her blue eyes widening in delightful surprise.
“You’re back!” You find it adorable, really, the way she practically jumps off the bed, walking up to you with a pretty pink color blooming under her cheeks. Almost childish in her demeanor, almost forgetting herself in the motion. “Ah, I mean to say— Welcome home, my love.”
“You’re just as beautiful as the day I left.” Your hands travel to hold her face, delicate in your touch, as if she was made of the finest of porcelains.
Ayaka chuckles, the sound making flowers bloom in the gaps of your ribs, your chest full of her.
“It has only been three days, my heart.”
“That’s too long, still. How have you— Oh.” You pause. “Is that my shirt?”
You only register it now, your old shirt looking all too big over her smaller body, her curves and all her edges hiding under the fabric that you recognize so well.
Ayaka’s cheeks bloom with crimson colors, her gaze hiding away from yours.
“My apologies,” she’s quick to say, shaking her head. Locks of winter hair frame her delicate features at the motion, “I was unaware you’d be returning home tonight. I’ll take it off and have it washed—”
“Don’t, you look pretty in it. You should keep it.” You lazily wrap your arms around her waist, pulling her slightly closer, holding her there. You draw a half smile, eyes searching her face. “Is this something you do when I leave? You wear my clothes?”
Ayaka’s cheeks grow slightly warmer to your words, but she doesn’t pull away. She rests her temple against your cheek, her breath tickling the shell of your ear. Too close, not close enough. “Would it be okay if I said yes?”
“Of course. You can wear anything of mine you like.” You say, gently pressing a kiss to her hair. Ayaka’s icy blue eyes flutter closed at your touch, your warmth she’s missed dearly. “Everything that I have —even my soul and heart—, they’re yours to have.”

Jason, an extroverted and vivacious gay twink, found himself at odds with the conservative values of his small Alabama town. Seeking liberation and acceptance, he embarked on a journey to Miami, a city known for its vibrant and colorful nightlife.
In the lively atmosphere of a gay bar, Jason's eyes met with those of a mysterious older man named Fredrick. There was an air of intrigue surrounding Fredrick, and his presence captivated Jason's attention. Drawn to his enigmatic charisma, Jason agreed to visit Fredrick's house, eager to uncover the secrets that awaited him.
At Fredrick's residence, Jason watched a video that would change the course of his life. Its contents, shrouded in secrecy, held a transformative power that would reverberate within him.
That was a year ago and Jason was back at his small home town in Alabama. A metamorphosis had taken place within Jason's being. No longer the carefree twink who lived loudly and obnoxiously, he had transformed into a muscular and conservative man, embodying the ideals upheld by his small Alabama community. Gone were the flamboyant outfits, replaced now by a more modest and conventional attire.
Every day, Jason adorned himself with white briefs, a symbol of purity and simplicity. The Jockey ribbed A-shirts, neatly tucked beneath the waistband of his underpants, accentuated his muscular physique. And to complete his conservative ensemble, he slipped into white crew socks, a testament to his dedication to conformity.
Not only did Jason undergo a physical transformation, but his character had also evolved. The once restless spirit found solace in the embrace of his newfound conservative values. As a result, he became a well-liked figure within his community, admired for his adherence to tradition and respect for societal norms.
Amidst his journey of personal growth, Jason found love in the arms of his fiancé, Matthew. Together, they epitomized the beauty of a committed relationship, built on shared values and a mutual understanding. Their love served as a beacon of hope, inspiring others within their community to embrace a similar path of conformity and stability.
Tumblr media
And occasionally, they would make trips to visit their mutual "Father" Fredrick in the vibrant city of Miami. This enigmatic figure, who had played a crucial role in Jason's transformation, continued to guide and mentor him on his journey of conforming to the expectations set forth by their community. Jason had introduced Matthew to Fredrick on a previous trip. They both affectionately call him Father, and their actions are driven by an unwavering commitment to his guidance.
In the embrace of tradition and conformity, Jason discovered a sense of belonging and purpose. The conservative ideals that once seemed distant and unfamiliar now resonated deeply within his being. With every step he took, clad in his conservative attire, he carried with him a sense of pride and fulfillment.

Hello again! Earlier I requested Horned King with a gothic lolita s/o, so I was wondering if you do another request of Captain Hook meets or with a mershark s/o?
Hey again! I'm so so sorry for the wait, but 100% I can do this!
Captain Hook x MerShark!S/O:
His first indication that there was something afoot was that the mermaids were not frolicking around mermaid cove.
They were attempting to climb the Jolly Rodgers anchor.
After much shreiking, jeers and one memorably thrown conch that knocked Mr. Starkey overboard, all he had managed to garner was that something had scared the fish girls out of their idyllic little cove and that they were not going to leave until it was dealt with.
His best glare and hook brandishing got him a raspberry and chorus's of "I've seen worse, fish-bait." so now he's paddling furiously to the cove to see if he can bribe whatever this is to eat the stupid fish girls and maybe blow up their favourite basking rock in the meantime.
When he gets there, there is indeed something lurking on their favourite basking rock.
Sharks come in many sizes, but you were at least double the length of a standard mermaid, grey scales shimmering in the light, and swaying your tail languidly from side to side as you basked. One eye, unfathomably dark, opened lazily to assess his approach and he resisted the urge to apologise and immediately paddle back to his ship to see if he could shoot the merfolk back into the sea and call it a day.
That would be rude and ruin his first impression, stop quaking Smee.
First impressions became second, thirds and many more over the coming days as the merfolk refused to leave his ship and you refused to leave the cove.
He found you facinating to watch. You moved in and out of the water with all the grace of an apex predator, bumping his little rowboat for laughs occasionally, though his sea legs held him in good stead even as your dorsal fin broke the surface around him in classic shark style.
Unlike the pretty fish girls typical of neverland, you held more shark physiology on your human upper half. Webbed and clawed hands, fluttering gills along your ribs, the aforementioned dorsal and side fins. And, of course, a mouthfull of razor teeth that gleamed delightedly as you laughed at one of his stories.
Ticktok decided to try for a mouthfull of your dear captain on day six and you body slammed ten feet of crocodile clean out of the water. Hook has never been more in love even as he clings to your back as you both speed through the water toward his ship, the rowboat in pieces.
The mermaids scream as you bodily launch yourself at the anchor chain and cackle - taking mock bites at the air as they dive for safety. Hook climbs aboard from there and grandly invites you to stay around his vessel as his crew go bug eyed at the sight of you.
You accept and take delight in patrolling the waters for further ticktok encounters, scaring the shit out of Hooks crew is an excellent passtime also.
Except Smee. He grew wise to your tactics and frankly negotiated your cooperation in dealing with his captain. He earned your respect for that.

Seriously though can we talk about how well that episode of Bob's Burgers handled the issue of Teddy's hording?
It's never portrayed as dirty, disgusting, or shameful. While pushy and somewhat judgemental, we never see Linda, Bob, or even the kids looking down on Teddy because of his hording. The kids rib him but they do that about everything. His house isn't dirty. He keeps it in good shape. He's not shown as being a slob or out of control. Teddy is gross but the show clearly goes out of its way to make sure his hording is not seen as being one of his gross traits or habits. As Linda says later, he's not hurting anyone with his hording. He has it mostly under control in terms of the amount of space it takes up in his house. He doesn't have a dining room, but he never hosts so he's never needed it for something other than storage. It's okay that, for him, that's what that room is for. It also clearly goes out of its way to show that, while the Belchers clearly really do want to help, what they are doing is not helping. It's causing Teddy undue distress and discomfort. It's portrayed pretty clearly that they are going about this the wrong way. We're never supposed to feel as though Teddy is the one in the wrong or being unreasonable. His distress is not trivialized nor is Linda's attempts to force him to get rid of his things all at once glorified. Linda truly does want to help him, she just misunderstands what his issue is. She thinks he hordes things because he thinks they could later be useful so she tries to help by forcing him to get rid of things that are clearly broken beyond the point of reasonable repair. She realizes later that he keeps them because they are broken. Because he wants to feel he can fix them. Because he believes broken things, such as himself, deserve to have a chance to be fixed. To be cared for and loved and not discarded just because they're damaged. I appreciate so much that the moral of the episode wasn't Teddy realizing he just needed to throw away his things. It was Linda realizing she'd handled the situation entirely wrong. That this would not help and would in fact hurt Teddy. These issues need to be worked through slowly and carefully and with support, not a feeling of judgement. The growth of the episode is not in tossing away his things, but in bringing them back in and how they do that. Teddy panics, when his "storage room" of a dining room is discovered and all the things inside taken out because it was all "put away and now it's out and it's everywhere". Clearly this reflects his feelings about his own issues. He was ashamed and hid them away, then had someone he trusted violate his privacy and his trust to reveal them all at once and try to force him to discard all of his emotional coping methods. He wants to put his issues away so that people don't see him as a broken thing they want to be rid of and trying to force him to deal with all of his deep seated issues at once like that caused him, quite understandably, to panic. The end of the episode shows Teddy's growth not in the discarding of his horded items, but instead in the fact that he keeps some of them outside of the storage rooms, in clear view of his friends who understand and don't judge him for it. If hiding his horded items represents his desire to hide away his own issues and never deal with them, then we can see at the end of the episode how he feels safe to have those issues seen by his friends. He trusts them with his emotional baggage and he's accepting it in himself. It shows him moving forward in his journey of dealing with the issues that cause the hording. Someday he may be able to let go of the horded items but for right now they're not hurting him or anyone else and we are shown that he is making progress. Not through shame or sacrifice. But through acceptance. And that's...a surprisingly wholesome and respectful depiction of a compulsive disorder in mainstream media.

Cough, it’s me again
Our dear demon bastard stated what type of women he likes. What do you think would be the type of woman (and maybe even man) he dislikes the most?
He is living in my head rent free
This one is much easier and less complex to answer 🙏 (I promise your other ask is in the works 😚 its just taking its dear sweet time to manifest in coherent thoughts)
My picture of a person Mephisto absolutely would not like conveniently exists in canon: Michael Gedouin. And no, I'm not just saying that because I hate the bastard.
Gedouin is everything Samael loves to despise. He's clingy, desperate, arrogant, short sighted, pushy and rude. He's got delusions of grandeur and crippling insecurities. Mephisto would eat him alive out of spite - possibly literally if he weren't so fat as to give the malnourished demon clogged arteries for the effort.
I personally think that when Samael expressly dislikes or loathes someone he goes out of his way to be an absolute menace to them. Because he's petty like that.
Canon kind of backs me up on this, and offers a compelling series of reasons why. Everyone he dislikes in canon, he dislikes because they're too intrusive or rude (Lewin) too cocksure and ignorant (Arthur) too needy and pushy (Yukio to a degree) or too self absorbed and narcissistic (Lucifer).
What do all these people have in common?
They're all liars.
They all lie to themselves and to others constantly. Lewin lies to others because he has to in order to appear normal; Arthur lies to himself so that he feels normal-ish despite blatantly knowing he isn't; Yukio lies to both himself and others for the sake of status quo and because he has crippling insecurities he would rather pretend didn't exist; and Lucifer lies to everyone including himself because his mind and ego can't handle the truth or reality, so he twists the narratives to suit himself, and to hell with the rest.
Samael, Father of Lies, absolutely despises liars.
He despises liars, and he despises those who turn away from a hard truth they'd rather not face. In his mind, these people are cowards, possibly, and I don't imagine he is fond of cowardice either. Part of why he is so hard on Yukio is because Yukio refuses to see or acknowledge the present, focusing -- and hiding in - the past or sometimes the future. He is similarly stern with Rin at times because Rin was running away from the past, but with no sense of direction for the present or future; he was lost, though, not deliberately hiding. Yukio hides; he uses the past or possible future to justify the present while acknowledging neither, and that makes him both annoying and dangerous; vascillating between the past and future without thinking about the present is how you end up circling a drain with no outlet. Yes, Yukio is depressed and stressed and has some serious trauma issues, and that is why he acts that way - no doubt Mephisto is well aware of that - but he also was stubborn and foolish and refused to accept help in any way except very marginally for his way, and his way was not what he needed. And I just don't see Samael having the greatest patience with people who wallow in their misery and refuse to help themselves, or if they are, like with Yukio, then they won't listen to reason if they're wrong.
Samael does not like people who deny the truth. Who insist they know better than he does, who won't budge an inch no matter what he tells them. He has not the patience, and after a lifetime of dealing with Mr. Narc Himself I honestly can't blame him for that.
At the same time, he finds great delight in tormenting people he despises. He ribs Arthur all the time and makes a mockery of him, he belittles Yukio and infantalizes him in some respects; He openly says he doesn't like Lewin and finds him creepy due to his persistent, invasive intrigue regarding himself, and doesn't bother him much I feel because anything Samael did do to bugger him would only entice him more; and he can do nary a thing about Lucifer, except quietly chide him in the back of his mind and hope his brother comes to his senses eventually. A hope I think he has lost all faith in.
Now, I feel a need to bring up an odd little relationship regarding these things - Amaimon.
Does Samael dislike Amaimon? Yes, i think he does, in a way. But he dislikes him because he is rude and lazy and doesn't like to think for himself or make hard decisions and acts like a total child about it when he does. Amaimon doesn't pick sides because he doesn't want to think about the ramifications of either choice, so he just doesn't make one. (until he has to). Amaimon doesn't like actual hard work, so to entice him to do anything one must invite him to "play" or offer a reward - and sometimes punishment - worth motivating him. Amaimon does not give a single flying fuck if anyone really likes him or not, which I do think Samael finds admirable about him actually, but it comes with the caveat that he can't trust Amaimon to blend in very well or follow a set of rules he sees no point in following, like "Dont punch people, because they die, and we dont want them to die". To explain anything to Amaimon, one must explain it in his terms, on his terms, which makes him difficult and annoying to deal with at times because if there's no relevance to himself going on, he has no reason to care. He is the quintessential "not my problem" guy.
(I confess after writing this I am a lot like him in many regards)
Samael doesn't appreciate people who make his life more difficult, I would say for the above case. He prefers things to go a certain way, and people who propose to mess this up by being stubborn and difficult to control are thorns in his side; but he is willing to put up with them for the greater good of his work.
Rin is another thorny case for Samael at times, though its more that Rin has the utmost potential to be a problem than that he presently is one; Rin is strong willed, though not exactly stubborn - he can be plied fairly easily with the right kind of persuasion, and as recent chapters have so kindly delivered onto us, Rin is the faith-having sort of person; he believes in Mephisto's power and abilities, and has faith that Samael would be able to put the world to rights if Satan wasn't being such a stubborn Git about it all.
That being said, I could easily see the tables turning if Rin decided to get in Samael's way and provoke him with his stubbornness, especially since Rin isn't always keen on listening to reason, so I hesitate to say Samael likes or dislikes Rin outright - I think he's an edge case and that Samael cautiously likes him, but would absolutely kill or maim him if it came to that. And I personally am of the mind that Rin is very much aware of this.
So, to recap -
Samael does not like Liars, Truth Deniers, and People Who Make Life Harder.
I also am of the mind he has a particularly vengeful distaste for thieves, based on the possessiveness of his personality and penchant for collecting things, but only insofar as they have stolen from him. After all I doubt he got all of his own belongings by moral means, given Loki and Dionysus' penchant for being thieves themselves. So steal away - just don't steal things from the Devil, maybe. Unless he wants you to. (Ahem, Impure King arc). But even then, probably not the wisest idea.

Firefight Peter Parker, Spideychelle AU 🥰 🚒
This image just popped into my head one day and I had to draw it. Then I started really thinking about it and I just have so many thoughts and feelings about this AU. I know I'll never write it. But I did jot down some headcanon points to add to this post.
Peter practically grew up in the firehouse where his Uncle Ben worked. He visited the station with his Aunt May all the time. Sometimes, when his uncle had a shift during the holidays, they would spend part of it there with him and the rest of his company. It made it feel like they were all one big family. It didn’t take long for Peter to decide he wanted to grow up to be a firefighter too. As he grew older, that desire never changed. Even after his uncle died amidst the flames of a particularly destructive fire.
As soon as Peter graduated high school, he entered the Fire Academy and graduated top of his class. He was put right to work as a probationary firefighter at a station right in the middle of Queens.
Peter is the youngest firefighter on staff. The crew gives him a hard time about it. They call him the rookie and the baby of the group while trying to pinch his cheeks. He accepts their teasing because he knows they mean well. It helps that they also know how serious he is about the job. He’s always the first one there for training and practice. He’s never late for his shifts, and he stays on top of his necessary certifications. Every so often, the crew ribs him about that too.
Ideally, this AU would also have Steve Rogers as the captain and Bruce as a firefighter/paramedic.
When Peter’s not at the station, he lives with his girlfriend, MJ. They are very much in love, and It’s not unusual for her to come to visit during his two-day shifts. For no other reason than she misses him.
Peter lights up the moment she arrives. His serious exterior drops to something much softer as he pulls her into a tight embrace. Even after they separate, their hands continue to touch. Sometimes they sit outside and chat while she’s there. Other times, they playfully bicker until Peter scoops her up and hurls her over his shoulder. He’ll hold her there in a standard fireman’s carry, telling her he won’t set her down until she agrees with him. They both laugh and laugh until MJ falls limp and admits defeat. Once she’s back on the ground, they go back to holding hands.
There are comments in the background, the crew shouting at them to ‘get a room.’ Tony, the well-practiced driver, and engineer, that Peter's come to see as something of a mentor, is generally the one who initiates it. Peter will send him a menacing look in retaliation. But it never puts a stop to the gleeful teasing. He’s okay with it, though. Tony reminds him a lot of his Uncle Ben.
If the alarm goes off while MJ's there, Peter will reluctantly let go of her. He’ll rush to join his department brothers and sisters as they collectively prepared to perform their jobs. Often, MJ will call after him saying, ‘stay safe’ and ‘be careful’ as he goes. He’ll pause momentarily to look over his shoulder and tell her he’s always careful and will always do his best to come home to her. She nods her head and steps back to watch the hustling. Peter knows she understands how important his job is, and he’s thankful she’s so supportive. He loves and respects her but he really couldn’t imagine himself doing anything else with his life.
Because in every reality, Peter Parker just wants to help people.
For some extra spice, Peter could respond to a fire at Oscorp, where he gets bitten by a radioactive spider.
If you read this, enjoyed it, and are so inclined, please write it! Just be sure to tag me so I can enjoy it too!!

3 Mandos and a Baby AU: The One Where Bo-Katan Accidentally Adopts a Child
So, while the Scooby Gang was handling Mandalorian affairs the Clone Wars kick off.
Listen, killing Pre Vizsla and installing a 16 year old as the head of a whole sector takes a lot of focus and they all just kinda forgot about their local Sith Lord for a minute. Satine’s kept in power as Jorad’alor, because Korkie loves and respects his mom aunt, and also cause the New Mando acceptance for his rule is kinda predicated on that.
So Korkie involves them in the Clone Wars on the side of the Republic because “Jaster and 99 want me to save their grandsons/brothers”. If he starts secretly sending out baruurs to cut out the clones chips well, the Republic doesn’t need to know. And if he’s giving all clones Mandalorian citizenship well, the Republic can go jump in a Rancor pit.
This boy has no tolerance for slavery of any kind, and in his speech to his councilors Bo-Katan is reminded of another, older Korkie, passionately defending his choice to blow another Hutt slave processing camp sky high. She can’t help but be proud, and a little bit sad. What good would that Korkie had done had he not kept running into the fires that night, determined to save every Mando’ad he could?
I’m going to say Aq Vetina is a colony world just outside of Mandalorian Space and nominally under the authority of a Core world. Unfortunately for Aq Vetina, that Core world is corrupt as fuck/friendly with the galaxy’s creepiest old man. It gets attacked and out ride the mighty Mandalorians, off to save the day!
It ends up being a joint project between the Protectors and the Nite Owls, because Korkie declared it so (Myles may or may not have gotten Korkie in on the bofenn shipping. Adonai just stares menacingly from the corner). The Children of the Watch seemed to be the ones coolest with having an actual child as their king and did not protest when he sent them to guard Kamino.
Anyway, Bo and Fenn spend the whole fight making sarcastic comments and trying their best to one up each other, as one does now that they’ve completed the most therapeutic action of all, killing an abusive domestic terrorist. Anyway, it gets down to the last few Super Battle Droids and Bo hears crying from a storm cellar.
Anyway, ten minutes later Bo has a young Din Djarin strapped to her back and a deep sense of disgruntlement. Her final rival for the Darksaber, bane of her existence, and lord of all that’s annoying is currently an adorable five year old sucking on a piece of candied muja fruit Fenn gave him and sobbing into her hair.
Once the mourning little boy cries himself to sleep Bo fills Fenn in on her history with Mand’alor Djarin and his frog son. Fenn thinks this is hysterical, and laughs so hard he almost wakes up the ad’ika.
This is a theme that’s repeated amongst the time travelers, with the exception of Ursa. She actually does laugh so loud it wakes up baby Din.
Anyway, Bo-Katan is adamant that she is not adopting this kid. She’s not! The fact that she’s acting parental is just coincidence! Sure, she’s feeding the kid and clothing the kid and letting him seek affection and assurance from her, but that’s normal when dealing with a traumatized ad’ika. Try finding a Mando’ad who wouldn’t treat a traumatized orphan that way. (Fenn’s rebuttal to this is “Find one who wouldn’t adopt a traumatized orphan” and Bo elbows him in the ribs)
The whole time they’re in Sundari after that (Keldabe’s still being rebuilt) baby Din just follows after her like trouble follows R2-D2. Satine puts baby Din up in the family apartments, because Satine’s still pissed about the whole coup thing and also because she has a great many years of older sister teasing to make up for. (And maybe, in some part of her soul, Satine is glad that clan Kryze is growing again. It used to be a great clan, with dozens of members before the Wars and the bombing of Kalevala’s dome).
Korkie just flat out calls Din his cousin. Whenever people visit the palace and question who the new kid is Korkie tells them it’s his Auntie Bo’s kid. Bo kinda regrets giving a literal teenager near-absolute power over their people. Her nephew just gives her unimpressed looks and mentions that she got the armorer to start making Din beskar out of her Great Aunt’s old kit, and by giving this kid the family beskar she’s just adopting him without the formal declaration. Then he does that weird thing where he laughs at nothing (he’s laughing at Adonai’s excitement over new grandchildren).
Anyway, after a few weeks of this Fenn goes to adopt baby Din and Bo-Katan and he get super into it about who this kid’s buir is. Things suddenly get quiet and when they do finally come down an hour later they’ve agreed on shared custody. No one mentions what they were doing up there, and no one wants to.
Well, except for Myles and Tarre, but no one listens to them much. Except Adonai and Jaster, but that’s only so they know when the face-punching should commence.

The Worth of a Bridgerton | Bridgerton!Brother!Reader
A/N: this is the second work i've posted on here and i'm genuinely proud of it. i love the bridgerton bros so i added some fluff towards the end.
It was the fourth week of Eloise's debut season and you were fed up with your mother's constant attempts to find you a wife. She had been insistent on staying by your side the whole night and not even your brothers were trying to help you escape. Thankfully, your mother had also been drinking for the entire ball. The alcohol was starting to make her pay less attention to you, so when she absentmindedly walked off to find Lady Danbury you took the opportunity and fled to the gardens. The gardens of this particular estate were overgrown with rose bushes. Every single row of measly shrubbery had been taken over by some color of rose. The owners, who were long term friends of the Bridgertons, had simply embraced the fact that their gardens no longer belonged to them anymore. Despite their acceptance, they still worried about their image being tarnished, so they began telling their guests that the gardens were off limits. Off limits to everyone except certain family friends of course.
Just as you were about to take a seat on a smooth stone bench, you heard the sound of laughter coming towards you. You silently glanced down the path you came through to see a small group of lords walking towards you. The man at the head of the group plastered on a fake smile at the sight of you. "Bridgerton! How good to see you!"
"I wish I could say the same." you mumbled.
The man's smile fell, "What was that?"
"Nothing, sir. Nothing at all."
"You Bridgertons;" he spat. "Always believing you are better than everyone else."
You furrowed your brow, "Sir?"
"Your dearest sister, Miss Eloise, refused to dance with me.
"And your brother, Anthony, decided it best to insult me in a room full of respectable lords!"
"I apologize for them—"
"Shut your mouth!" shouted the man. "Grab him."
Suddenly the two men that had been following the angry lord ran at you and grabbed each of your arms. You struggled in their grasp desperate to leave.
"Let me go!"
The leader took of his gloves, "Silence him would you, we don't want any trouble."
A gloved hand covered your mouth as the first punch made contact with your solar plexus, knocking the breath out of your lungs. Then came the second, the third, the fourth, until it seemed like the hits would never stop. Eventually, the men holding your arms let go of you and settled for kicking you all at once. You desperately tried to cover your head, hoping that you could at least avoid a concussion. Distantly, you wondered if anyone would find you. The ball was in full swing, so there were festivities keeping people distracted. And even if there was no ball, would your family actually care enough to search for you? You were just Eloise's twin after all. You weren't the oldest who was burdened with your father's legacy. You weren't the artist wanting to find himself. You weren't the duchess who had found happiness. No, you were just the other twin. The one who didn't have anything worth paying attention to.
That's what hurt you. Not the punches or the kicks or the stinging remarks. Not even your aching ribs that would surely bruise in the morning. It was the simple fact that these horrible lords had known that you were an easy target. They had known that you were the Bridgerton no one would ask questions about.
.
.
.
"(Y/N)!"
"(Y/N)! Come on out!"
"(Y/N)!"
"Brother?!"
What? You recognized those voices.
"(Y/N)! Where are you?!"
Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne and Eloise were here. They were asking questions. And the bastards who were hurting you heard them.
"Shit, what do we do?"
"If they find us, this won't end well."
"Stop blubbering you—"
"WHAT IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!"
Despite the pain you managed a sly grin as Anthony's enraged tone cut through the silence of the night. You looked towards the garden path to see your siblings charging forward, a mix of anger and worry painted on their faces. Lord Arsehole and his friends tensed at the sight.
"Lord Bridgerton," he began, "we have done nothing to your brother, I swear that we found him like this."
Anthony stopped in front of the nervous lord. "You expect me to believe that?"
"Well I—"
SMACK!
The lord went tumbling towards the grass, clutching the eye where your brother's fist had just been. He scowled at the man and yanked him up by the collar. "If you ever touch my brother again I'll give you a lot more than a black eye."
"O-of course my lord! I wouldn't dream of it!" he promised.
"Good." He pushed the man towards the garden entrance. "Now get out of my sight you filthy pig!"
Fearing for their lives, Lord Arsehole and his buddies scrambled towards the estate without even a glance towards the rest of the Bridgertons. With them gone, you slowly stretched out your limbs, wincing as your small effort to sit up tugged at your injuries. You must have made a noise or something because in an instant your family was descending on you like a swarm of vultures.
"I'm alright. Just a little bit bruised is all." you assured.
Daphne scoffed, "Bruised? You look as though someone has run you over with a carriage!"
You laughed at your sister, wincing as the movement jostled your injured ribs.
"Let's get you up." said Benedict.
Him and Anthony helped you to your feet while the others began fussing over you and making sure your injuries weren't too severe. The two eldest brothers made sure to support you as you made your way to the carriages.
"How was the ball?" You asked. "Did I miss anything interesting?"
"If by interesting you mean watching mother drunkenly insult suitors, then yes you missed a lot." stated Eloise.
"Really?!"
"Yep. She almost threw a glass at one of them. A glass!"
"Who knew that mama could be so rebellious?"
"Exactly! It was terrifying!"
Eloise smiled as Colin opened the carriage door. "I'll see you at home. Get there safely, brother."
"That goes for me too, (Y/N)." added Daphne. "We love you."
"I love you too."
Anthony ruffled your hair before gently guiding you into the carriage. He and Benedict sat on either side of you while Colin sat opposite to you. As the vehicle slowly departed the ball you let your head rest on Anthony's shoulder. "Thank you for finding me."
"We don't need a thank you." Said Colin. "We're just glad you're here."
"I love you guys."
"We love you too." they answered.
Anthony kissed the top of your head, "And we always will."

stede for the character ask game!
Woo! My boy :D
favorite thing about them
The fact he buys a whole ship and hires a crew to provide a nurturing and supportive environment that he has craved and never had for his whole life, somewhere for people to feel safe to be themselves without needing to cry themselves to sleep in the dark.
least favorite thing about them
Absolutely his inability to take his own advice to heart and talk things through, but I also completely understand that his inability to do so comes from both his upbringing and his very desperately unhappy childhood. How could he know he could talk to someone when any time he did in the past, he was shot down and told he was wrong/an idiot/didn't deserve any respect?
favorite line
"Check out this fabulous booty I'm hawkin'" :D It cracks me up every. single. time.
brOTP
Stede and Lucius all the way :D Albeit very reluctantly from Lucius's side, but someone has to be the wingman to this very useless metaphorically baby gay.
OTP
Stede/Ed naturally :) They are exactly what the other needed all along: a friend as daft and adventurous and imaginative as them.
nOTP
Stede/Mary. Because obviously not. Worst relationship ever. I love they made a point of him disparaging her interests before they showed her dismissing his to make it absolutely clear this is a Bad Match. As friends, however, I like.
random headcanon
As much as Stede is canonically a starfish in bed, I suspect he will be extremely into spooning when it's with someone he cares about.
unpopular opinion
I have no idea what is a popular or unpopular opinion about him. I don't wander in tags or anything. Plus I like having many and varied opinions about him.
song i associate with them
This one caught me today and the lyrics made me go OH
youtube
favorite picture of them
Tumblr media
This moment, this moment, where someone who has known him for so long finally sees him and accepts him reached into my ribs and twisted up my heart and I bawled.
To say I relate waaaaaay too much to this lil fella is an understatement.

I am heavily medicated today, laying about waiting for drs and shit. This lets my mind contemplate the bigger issues and implications of very important boys-on-ice shit. Imma make it your problem.
So, we know Otabek's friends are miscevious. Do you think that includes JJ and Leo as well?
Like... dose JJ call Yuri 'princess' not just because he has that build, but because Otabek's name reduces down to a title? (Duke)
Like, 'go get your princess, your grace' - which triples as a mock on Otabek's lower flexibility, teasing him about his title/name, as well as how long Otabek has been in love with/admiring Yuri- and low key accepts Yuri into said friend group in an honored position all at once with what is supposed to be gentle/friendly ribbing?
(leRoy - name means king. Otabek [reduces down to] Duke. Leo de la Iglesia means lion of the church, so like a paladin or knight or something [leo <lion> some times is referred to as a 'king of the jungle' - I will rant about how they don't live in jungles and all that later. They are on a lot of heraldry, tho]. So Yuri obviously needs a title too. [JJ would call Isabell 'my queen' or 'regina' or something.] Female [based onJJ's mind set most likely making pairs in that dichotomy, as that's how it works for him personally] cats are queens (also following a theme, if they are one team [in one friend group], there can be only one queen and king, making Otabek the next highest rank in the friend group - but he's put Yuri on such a high peddistool that he should rank a little higher, and also podium family king Victor is basically Yuri's big brother as far as JJ is concerned, so there is that to consider), combined with Otabek meeting Yuri in juniors would auto translate to 'princess'.)
Is JJ being a little shit, trying to get Otabek and Yuri chatting because he wants for his friend what he has with Isabella? Did he know Otabek was coming and, seeing Yuri right there, thought he could play match maker with some well intentioned ribbing, getting his friend to talk to Yuri if only to explain (and make a new friend himself)?
Are JJ and Leo in a mock 'no, I'm his best friend' contest? Match maker credit can really get you that better/Best friend status, which is a security blanket JJ seems to need.
Is that why Otabek was paused? Irritation at JJ for pissing off the person he’s been waiting years for, damned well knowing what he's up to, but when he was thinking of exsplaning/apologizing to Yuri, Yuri screamed at him, so Otabek peaced out because exsplaning would not help in that moment?
Bet it informed just how much Otabek told Yuri on that bridge.
I wonder if Leo and JJ - when Otabek has Yuri in a very peaceful mood - are going to tease Otabek about that slow burn, seeing if Yuri catches on because Otabek is So FrIkIn Old FaSoNeD (quiet, stoic, & romantic) that they dispared for their friend EVER having a love life do to his being focused on (pachent and pinning for) the only person who moved him like that?
(If Victor and Yuuri are soulmates as stated official, this is officially a soulmates AU, which means Otabek being so observant would know. Those eyes speak deeply to him. You do not use lines about what are referred to as the windows to the soul in a soulmates AU casually, my dudes. The way when Yuri takes the time to actually look at Otabek and something starts to click, combined with the sudden recognition & respect Yuri gives when he finally watches Otabek skate? That's a patented pending your-Russan-is-in-love look. (We see it on Victor too.) *chef's kiss* I love it. In this PowerPoint I will...)
Otabek is infinitesimally pachent, and his friends want him happy but are little shits, is what I'm saying.
I mean, JJ comes off like a bag of dicks, but I think it may just be that his off-ice timing and sence of humor suffer from 'can't read the room' syndrome... Leo must be the one who counters that... but if Otabek considers him a friend, and his friends are mischievous...
Also, Otabek's friends are frikin chess pieces/off ice nobles (even if only in name/their community).

So what is court of the dragon about?
!!!!!!!!!!!!! court of the dragon is the noah/damia dynamic tag!! as well as refers to their death match at the end of dream game >:3!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
wanted to draw fresh art for the occasion but i'm low on wrist stamina so oc site icons are all i got ;w; the title is pulled from this trivium song which i am profoundly normal abt,,,,,
in spite of all the hate behind these eyes, i've seen that only one of us survives; i'm here to destroy you, i'm here to avenge, in the court of the dragon i descend....
^yeah. _(:3」∠)_
the tl;dr is that together they make up the true ruler of issei (a world that's 80% ocean) and they're stuck in their underwater lair bc they are not immortal enough to brave the water pressure. reina offered to bestow portal powers onto one of them, in exchange for aiding her in the war against azra. damia refused to condemn noah to a solitary life at the bottom of the ocean; noah accepted :) fwiw he had good intentions, utilizing their bond (bone rings forged from each other's ribs, which lets them see through the other's eyes) to show damia the outside world they always dreamed of !
oh also points of clarification, noah's natural form is that of a black dragon (he only gains a human form as another favor from reina after the war) and damia's pronouns are whatever/works. ww
noah genuinely planned on returning 2 damia after the war, but he keeps finding excuses (mastering a human form, hunting down maheloas, settling the score with garvith, being leah's bodyguard, atoning for displacing lucie into another world (issei, no less) chaperoning linn) a million sidetracks until the weight of responsibility and guilt slowly breaks him </3 and by the time he n damia reunite in dream game they are both changed beyond recognition in their own respective ways. (damia, for their part, LOATHES noah's human form bc without meaning to he made it to resemble damia's original body which damia spent centuries ship-of-theuseus'ing himself out of) + ofc never having forgiven noah for leaving, but also taking him back without question or judgment <3 complicated.
Court of the Dragon proper is their final endgame, after noah loses his human form when reina turns statue & damia bars the rest of the main group's way into the 3rd world cycle, meaning to chain them to dead world space alongside herself. ((taking linnea out in one shot, just btw. ask me abt vengeful girls trio next ;3c)) which ends in noah+damia having a grand showdown inside their lair [ open mouth / swallowing the king / gods devoured whole / light extinguishing.... ] and that's the end of it. or is it? >:^)
& ANWY THE REASON. why that cap is so funny for them is that damia, at the end of the day, is such a sensitive little bastard i love tagging them in shoujo caps. all he wants is to be with noah (more complicated than romance, though kissing is a great way to establish dominance. lol <3) they're extremely messy and complicated and full of hypocrisy! noah is even more annoying than jumie when it comes to loyalty concepts & damia knows exactly what she wants except she doesn't ww

🖊 for bastard (affectionate) man Ien?
kfnadskfns bastard (absolutely insulting, derogatory, unfortunately also affectionate).
[send a 🖊 for random oc thoughts, or 🖊 + an oc for more specific thoughts lol]
Tumblr media
Len's concept of loyalty absolutely tickles me. I haven't figured out the rhyme or reason to how, why, and who he ends up ride or die for, but they may yet prove exceptions to his usual hard-line rules. It primarily starts with his crew that he picks up as the Hunter, particularly Mako, Torian, and to a slightly lesser extent Blizz. Going from a lone wolf act to having a crew behind him was something he initially resisted and then the bastards all had to go and grow on him. Mako still ribs him about it to this day.
Surprisingly, I think it's in part because he found out he has a slight soft spot for being a mentor. There's a class story quest on Voss for the Hunter, iirc, where you can guns blazing your way through an arena fight with some Gormak and then finish them off, or you can accept their request to teach them a bit of what you know. Len was almost too eager. And too pleased. Something something believes everyone has a right to know how to defend themselves with force if necessary.
So, Torian and Mako kind of become the closest Len ever gets to having kids - and all of this is a realization that I have not put any time into this man's family and I really ought to, lol. Anyway, I'd love to say there's something sappy in there about him mentally taking Torian on as "his boy" and how damn proud Len can be of him - maybe something about a son succeeding a father in bettering one's self, but I don't want anyone to give Len too much credit, lol. Never have I ever made a man so abhorrently stubborn and against a little self-introspection about changing his ways, okay? xD I wouldn't exactly call Len an incredible improvement on the Cadera state of affairs, but I'd like to think they do a little learning from each other when Torian tries to teach him more of the Mandalorian ways.
Lensan tends to shoot problems. Or try to, anyway. (Or at least he likes people to have that impression! At the absolute least.) It doesn't work for everyone and even he's self-aware enough for that, lol. Honestly, part of the reason Mako and Torian grow so much on him is that they don't... take his bullshit, tbh. Torian has a very clear honor code where Len's is a bit more... shall we say, favoring a blunt approach? And Mako, of course, is generally the better half of their collective team conscious, though it admittedly rarely tempers Len's decision making process.
So, him going through KOTXX has been... an interesting experience to say the least, lol. There's no way this man would ever be convinced of going 5,000 parsecs near something like a long-term alliance between Imperial and Republic forces if I left him to his own devices without anyone pulling his arm (looking at Lana here, she convinces him). He is, after all, your angry grandpa who still thinks they should've finished the job on Coruscant.
But it was interesting to see him handle Jorgan and Senya and watch him and Theron be welded to the plot rails together when Len hasn't trusted him since the moment he laid eyes on him and he hasn't let Lana rest about it, lol.
I was surprised dismissing Jorgan didn't end with a blaster bolt, tbh. I think it has to come down to some sort of soldier's respect still kicking around in this old bastard's heart and maybe I've given him too much of a hard time about circumstances. Maybe he's a bit more aware of running the Alliance than I generally give him credit for.
I still haven't. figured out how the hell Nathema is gonna go. I doubt I'll really have my answer until I finally pony up and do the rest of the content to see it play out. Because on one hand, Len hasn't ever trusted him. And on the other, at that point, they'll have worked together a long time. And Len's no stranger to the argument of doing what's necessary, regardless of how much muck you have to slog through in the process. So, stay tuned, I suppose? xD
But yea! He basically constantly fascinates me because he does end up loyal and willingly running with people that generally have a better conscious than him, which makes it an interesting thing to consider him in the Alliance at all on its own. If I hadn't allowed the game to weld him to the plot in an expac content run, its one of the few jobs you probably couldn't convince him to take for credits. It'd really take someone else with a vested belief in the goal to convince him the ends justify the means and maybe get his grumbling like an angry cat hauled of to the vet to at least simmer down to a cooperative level.
Unfortunately for all of the npcs, I'm welding him to the plot rails because I have no other characters currently that are willing to return to the Empire after all the shit they go through, lmaoooo. Len on the other hand never completely left in whatever heart of hearts he has even if he buddied up with the Mandalorians.
Send your thoughts to Shae, him and Khomo would probably have a hell of a time together.
