You weren’t unfamiliar with the current feeling you were having but it still sucked nonetheless. You’ve been having a bad day, week, month, basically it’s just been sucky. One of your preferred ways of coping was just to cry, sometimes with your sad playlist to get it flowing. Basically, let it all out with a good cry and hope it gets better. You were fine to cry alone, if anything it was better that no one had to see you like this. You could ugly cry all you wanted and not have to be perceived. But both fortunately and unfortunately your boyfriend came home a few hours early. He was supposed to be out for work until early tomorrow morning but he wanted to see you and surprise you by coming the night before, albeit late at night. He called out your name happily to locate you within your shared home. You trust him so when you heard him you didn’t feel the need to hide or pretend you weren’t crying. You called out his name to signal you were in your room and immediately he could tell something was off. Your voice was hoarse and cracked and so he quickly put down his stuff to speed walk over to you. When he opened the door and saw you crying he immediately rushed to you to envelop you in a hug. “Baby what’s wrong?” he said with a slight pout and concern in his eyes. He loved you so much and just wanted to make you smile and happy, he knew that emotions were normal and that having a good cry is good, he even does it himself sometimes heh. But he hates to see you cry, it breaks his heart a bit. He ushers you to the bed so you can both sit and hug comfortably. You tell him that it’s just been a lot and you rant a bit about your troubles. You don’t say a lot but he doesn’t need to hear the details to know how you feel and how to comfort you. “I’m so sorry darling. Listen, I love you so much and I’m sorry you have to go through this right now. I wish I could take this all away for you and maybe I can’t but I know that I can try my hardest to try and help. You’re such a sweetheart and a gentle soul and you deserve the world.” He gives you forehead kisses as he wipes your tears with a tissue he grabbed from your table. He hugs you tight as you ugly cry a little from his words. “You’re doing amazing, darling. You’re always doing your best and I hope you never forget that. You’ve told me so much about you and your past and I hope you know how strong you are.” He strokes your hair and your back as he says this. You feel his heartbeat, his body, and the vibrations of his voice against you as he speaks. “Let it out, we’ll get you a snack, and we’ll sleep, you can deal with whatever else tomorrow. For tonight please just rest, you always work so hard.” You pull back to give him a small nod. He smiles at how cute you are even while crying and gives you a long, reassuring kiss. He cups your face with his hands and wipes your tears a bit with his thumbs. You both pull back and you croak out “I’m sorry that you had to come back just to worry about me and comfort me.” “You always take such good care of me, this is the least I can do. Let me know how else I can help support you. If you need more hugs, kisses, reassurance, or anything at all, just tell me. Okay?” He says warmly, smiling at you with soft adoration in his eyes. You nod again as tears flow out because he’s treating you so sweetly. “Thank you… I love you so much and I appreciate you,” you say, half crying, as you kiss him. “No need to thank me baby. I love you so much too.” You sit with your foreheads pressed together for a bit as you finish crying. “Let’s get you a snack sweetheart,” he says while standing up and offering you his hand. You nod and smile.
He holds your hand all the way to the kitchen and it makes you giggle and your heart flutter. He makes you both cups of your favorite tea but decaf because you need to sleep! He grabs you some of your shared collection of snacks and you head back to the bed. You finish your tea together while chatting about his recent work/mission and you both feel warm from the tea and also just from each other. You put down your cups and lay down to cuddle. He turns the lights off and wraps his arms around you. He lays on his back to let you sleep on his chest with one arm around you and the free one brushing through your hair. “I love you so much. Never forget that. I hope that you also love yourself as much as I love you because you deserve it. If you can’t right now, that’s okay, we’ll do it together, slowly.” You share a few more kisses as you tell him you love him too, that you’ll definitely try, and that you hope he loves himself like that too. Your hearts are full as you drift into sleep together. Maybe the future will be nice, but even if it isn’t, it doesn’t matter. You’ll always have him and he’ll always have you. He’s given you the power to love yourself and you’ve given the same back. Life will inevitably get hard but you feel like that you might just be able to face it because you’re not alone. You both doze off into the night, smiling in each other's embrace.

NOTES (YES I KNOW THEY CAN’T TALK LOL HERE ARE MY EXPLANATIONS) NOTE 1: personal headcanon that will be in Inumaki’s own fic eventually: Inumaki learned to not funnel cursed energy into his speech for short periods of time and he uses it for when you really need to hear his voice, you can also help him suppress the cursed energy by blocking it with yours by mentally aiming it at his throat. NOTE 2: since this is for heartsteel Aphelios (because I haven’t researched regular Aphelios’s lore enough yet) it seems that he can still talk, he just chooses not to. He lost his ability to sing but I haven’t found anything that says he can’t speak or use his vocal chords. In game, he still has the ability to yell or grunt when he’s attacking or even doing his emotes. I just headcanon that he doesn’t like how his voice sounds after losing his singing voice (even though you reassure him he really does sound the same) and it also strains him to speak for too long. But, he will speak to you commonly in short bursts, or will speak when you need to hear him.

The Ember Island sunsets were one of the most beautiful sunsets you had ever seen. Every evening, the sky would be splashed with different colors, today the sky was bleeding a soft orange melting into a dark sapphire in places, little lilac clouds scattered about, it all made your fingers etch for water paints. But after about 18 sunsets and 12 paintings, you had begun feeling that a sunset was rather boring if not shared with someone.
When Yuta had dropped in at your mansion announcing a beach vacation, you had thought he would be there too. Unfortunately, Mr. Pendragon had been called away by some random emperor again the moment ya'll had set foot on the island. Apparently, the stupid witch of the waste was brewing trouble... Again. You knew that the whole vacation extravaganza was a lame excuse to keep you at the moving castle so that Howl could keep you near him until all your powers were back. But he was just too much of a hopeless romantic to admit to that, and he knew you'd only get angry if he tried to patronize you directly. Although you would hardly admit it, you could really do some time away from your routine, where without your powers, life had become an endless circle of cooking, cleaning, and reading. Your mastery over fire was something out of folktales. They had made legends over you, scared kids into sleeping early under your name. It was a kind of glory you didn't expect to stripped away that easily. So it just made you angrier.
You weren't exactly the kind old witch that made healing potions. you had the kind of power that scared people. Now when you accidentally burned down half a village and the temple of a local deity while chasing a murderer, the deity just might have cursed you to sit flame-less until next monsoon.
Okay... maybe you did need to learn a little self control, sign up for an anger management workshop while you were at it. You had encountered crappy situations all your life, but sitting powerless at a beach while the witch of the waste raged around was an all-time low.
Here at the castle, Calcifer took care of everything, so today you had decided to take a walk around the ember island. Only, Ember island was a very touristy place, so in every direction you looked, you saw couples on their honeymoons squished together, tongues down each other's throats. It had made you bitterly walk back to the castle fuming. It had been two weeks since Yuta had been called away and you were a thought away from visiting the king's palace yourself.
I apologize your highness, but my boyfriend and I are losing out on too much quality time for me to give a rat's ass about your royal problems.
Without magic, everything in your life had slowed down by a mile. You had never realized how dependant you were on magic until you had to live without it.
Yuta seemingly lived a human life, cooking and cleaning all by himself, you, on the other hand, realized you could no longer jinx your plate to clean itself and almost threw a fit. It was all too frustrating.
You were half jealous that Yuta could go around being his wizard self and half sad that he wasn't here with you. You felt a white bolt of anger in her stomach, you were bored, tired without magic, and if you must admit a little needy. Maybe you should go around burning down imperial courts once your powers were back.
Your fingers dug tighter into the railing overlooking the sliver waters of embers island, you could feel your blood boil even without the usual hellfire within it. You were so far into her rage, that you didn't hear the quiet footsteps behind you.
You were going to yank that witch by her hair and burn her at a stake. Only when he actually wrapped his hands around you that you jumped. Your heart rate going from casual walk to 100-meter dash. But Yuta just held you tighter. He knew you found back hugs embarrassing but just loved seeing you flustered.
He nuzzled his face into your hair, and the white bolt of anger melted as quickly as it had appeared. You felt his full lips press against your neck as he murmured, "Sorry love, the traffic was crazy."
You felt goosebumps flood your body as his deep voice drummed into your ear. Chuckling, you turned around to face him. He always looked at you so adoringly, his eyes shining with just a glint of disbelief. As if he still couldn't believe he was holding you for real. You always found that rather flattering. The king and the witch suddenly became very small nuisances, fading as he laced his long sleeves around your waist pulling you against his chest.
With a content sigh, you ran your fingers through his long midnight bangs, tucking them behind his ear. Cupping his face you leaned into him, pressing your lips on his for only a fleeting moment, "Guess we'll have to make up for all the lost time then." you murmured against his mouth. You only caught a glimpse of his grin, before he pulled you in for a deeper kiss. One of his hands trailed down your lower back as the other glided into your hair, angling your head against his mouth. His kisses were always so diligent, passionate trembling lips, murmuring praises, small acts of worship. Your hands ran down his tone arms, you could feel the deep calling for him quell from your body like a rising tide.
Well, you thought before you lost yourself completely, this vacation isn't all that bad.

You wanted request, what about megumi reacting to Jealous reader ? Or maybe jealous megumi?🤪
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WITH THIS TREASURE I SUMMON: MEGUMI FUSHIGURO
you and megumi are in situationship, nothing more, nothing less. but he knows how you used to have a crush on yuta okkotsu, but he doesn't know that you don't anymore. so when he sees you wearing yuta's sweater he almost summons mahoraga if you don't take off the sweater.
content warning: fluff! jealous! megumi
“i had a thought.”
“oh no.”
“i swear it's a good one this time,” he pleaded.
the short hair girl, nobara kugisaki, rolled her eyes and raised her hand to the pink-haired boy, “you want me to hammer your head, yuji?” the boy only sighs in defeat as his shoulder slumps. “you suck, kugisaki,” he howled. you let out a little laugh and shook your head slowly at the behaviour of your two classmates. the never-ending bickering of them never not amused you.
you walk to megumi, your other classmates with a plate of meat in your hands. he is standing there, grilling some meat alone. “hi,” you whisper to him and kiss his cheeks when you stand beside him. he quickly looks around afraid to find someone who's looking at what you've just done. “y/n,” he whispered in warning. you just giggle at him and give his lips a peck— not caring about the way his cheeks turn crimson red and his eyes open wide. you also don't care if anyone sees you.
“what?” you ask, giving him a quick glance. he keeps silent and continues to look at you. you rolled your eyes and let out a sigh. “i can kiss you whenever i want, nobody's watching anyway,” you tell him. you and megumi are friends, you can say that, or maybe you can't. both of you are way too romantic to be called friends but less to be called a couple— a situationship, maybe that's the right word.
when he came back after the mission, megumi never came to his room first, always looking for you and spending the night in your dorm room. holding and kissing you like his life depends on it. when in public, megumi is a private person, he doesn't talk much, he's calm and collected. he doesn't show his feelings when it's unnecessary. but when he's with you, he's like an open book and talks too much, even more than you. you could spend a whole day only listening to him talking, telling you a story about when he was little, even when first he meets gojo and is adopted by the brush-look-alike man.
and you are always grateful for that. you feel special with the way he treated you, the way his green eyes always twitch with love whenever you come to vision, the way his lips tremble with how hard he tries to hide his smile when you walk your way to him and everyone's around. you hope that was enough but of course being a human who's hungry with desire, you want your relationship with megumi to have a name— boyfriend and girlfriend.
you want him to be yours, badly. you want to have the right to be jealous when some girl is hitting on him when you go outside. it makes you feel suffocated to the point you feel like you can explode any second. you feel like you—
“y/n?”
you flutter your eyes before snapping your neck to the side to find megumi looking at you with narrowed eyes. “you alright?” he asked, worried. you cleared your throat and nodded, “yeah, sorry,” you smiled at him. he looked at you for a few seconds before nodding his head. “no problem, baby,” he softly said.
that day, you spend your evening having fun with your friends and your teachers. talking about a lot of things and laughing. thanks to your rich teacher, you can sleep peacefully and happily with a stomach full of expensive meat and expensive food you cannot afford with just student expenses alone. blessing gojo satoru's soul for having this barbeque party and feeding you and your friends. he is indeed acts like a father rather than a teacher sometimes.
time moves fast and the air gets more chilling every hour. right now you're sitting with yuta okkotsu, your senior alone, having a drink. he's a special grade curse, handsome, soft-spoken as well as soft-hearted person, that's why you used to have a crush on him. the first time you saw him was the day he fought with suguru geto. and that was instantly love at first sight. seeing how strong and cool he was fighting with the long-haired guy makes your heart beat faster than usual. and since then, everyone knows you're having a crush on him, and you're not planning to not make it obvious.
you sometimes send the boy flying kisses and laughing after seeing him become flustered and blushing. flirting with him from time to time until it becomes a habit— until you realize you're not having a crush on him anymore. you just love the way he's quickly looking away when he caught you already looking at him when he's become red like a steam crab when you hug him or playfully kiss his cheeks, you just love teasing him and making him stutter. it's adorable.
and megumi doesn't know that. he believes that your crush on the second-year special-grade sorcerer is unfaded. that's one of the reasons why he doesn't girlfriend you yet— afraid that the feelings aren't mutual and he doesn't want to get hurt. but seeing you sitting there, touching yuta's shoulder from time to time as you share a laugh at whatever you both were talking about pissed him off. “what's a good thing about him any way other than being a special grade sorcerer? he's a womanizer,” he ranted under his breath. doesn't realize yuji looking at him with his eyebrows lifted. he follows where megumi eyes stare at where you were.
“you know yourself that he's more than a special grade sorcerer, if you like y/n that much why don't you tell her?”
“yeah I know, but— what?”
surprised, megumi snapped his neck so fast that yuji was afraid he was gonna break it. his green eyes widened as he looked at the pink-haired boy. “did I say that out loud?” he asked, to which yuji responded with a nod. “why don't you tell her? I'm sure she likes you too, wait— are you jealous, fushiguro?” megumi's face became red in embarrassment and became an understatement as he looked away from his best friend. yuji snickers and grabs the boy's face by the chin— forcing him to look at you as he tightly closes his eyes. he rolls his eyes in annoyance when he finally opens his eyes and the sight of you getting too friendly with yuta meets his vision.
“no way— you're actually jealous,” he laughed.
and yuji spends the rest of the hour making fun of megumi but also giving him advice and moral support. forcing the spike-haired boy to confess his feelings to you and become girlfriend and boyfriend already. of course megumi try not to pay any mind to what sukuna's vessel rambling about, it's yuji after all. he's the worst anyone could get any advice from after gojo.
after the talk with yuji, megumi sits by himself in the garden in gojo's backyard. loss in his deep thought to realize you are already walking toward him, smiling. “fushiguro~” you sang happily and sat on his lap sideway with one arm wrapped around his neck— lips forming the biggest smile the boy has ever seen. “what do you want? go back to your yuta,” again, megumi rolls his eyes. you jut your lips as you look at him. “so mean,” you jived.
“you look upset, what's wrong?
“do you have fun talking to him? you must be, you've been spending an awful lot of time with him and wearing his sweater,” his snarky remark makes you want to kiss him to death. but right now you try to enjoy the show and play innocent. “what are you trying to say megumi?” you ask him. he looks at you for a moment while holding your hand before looking away.
“just go hang out with yuta, you've gotten good at that.”
“are you perhaps.. jealous, megumi?”
he scoffs and glances at you again before saying, “me? jealous of him? bless his delusional heart,” he sassed. you fit a giggle and cup his right cheek. his green narrowed eyes looking at you unpleasant and pouting his lips, without him realizing. “you're so cute when you're jealous,” you mumble and give him a little peck on the lips. “you know you're the only one I love,” you tell him, this time you're the one who's not realizing. and after that, for a few seconds both of you just looked at each other, too shocked to say something. “what did you just say?” megumi whispered, eyes open wide.
“what?”
you look away and get off of his lap. before you get a chance to run away megumi already grabs your hoodie— giving you no chance to run. he pulled the hoodie up lightly, forcing you to get close to him. “you love me?” he asked, this time you could see he was trying to keep his lip from smiling. you clear your throat and pull the hoodie from megumi's fist before facing him. “isn't that obvious? i— i thought you knew,” you mumble. suddenly feeling the shyness hug your body as megumi pierces his eyes at you intensely.
“what about yuta?”
“what about him? oh— I just realized I never liked him that much.” you shrugged your shoulder unbothered. “cool,” megumi whispered. he pulls you closer before locking his fingers behind your waist, hugging you. “let's do that—” you place both your hands on his chest while looking up at him. you lift your eyebrows and indicate that you don't understand what he is referring to. “that thing, boyfriend and girlfriend thing.” he smiles, his cheeks turn red, body suddenly feels hot, waiting for your answer.
you nodded, “okay.” smiling back at him.
without waiting for another second he crashed his lips to yours, locking them gently and smiling between the kisses. he pulls you closer as you wrap your arm around his neck. after a minute he pulled away and took a full fist of the hoodie that you're wearing. “take off this hoodie and use mine.” you stay silent for a moment before shaking your head and turning away. “nah,” you disagree. you heard gaps from behind you, “what do you mean nah?!” you turned around, “i'm cold, and yuta has the comfiest hoodie,” you told him.
“take off the hoodie y/n.”
“nah, what are you gonna do about it?” you put both hands on the hips and stick your tongue out to him. megumi clenched his fist and poses like his about to summon mahoraga. “with this treasure I summon—”
“the fuck— fine,” you run to him to hit his shoulder.
“you're so annoying,” you grumble and pull him to go back inside. megumi just gives you his sheepish smile and lets you drag him.

✦ In which Yuta Okkotsu steps in.
✦ Fluff. Tension. Fighting.
⟡ A/N: This is a part two to the part one, but can also be read as a one shot!
⟡ masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone knows that Yuta is a sweet boy, a golden retriever, if you will. That’s why it’s such a shock when he gets up from the table that he and your friends were sitting at and comes up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, in a protective manner, which also leads onto what is going to happen next.
Looking at the stranger dead in the eyes, he asks you, “Who’s this, babe?” And the guy looks scared out of his mind because who wouldn’t be scared of a 5’9” guy with dark blue eyes and dark hair? He also looks like he’s never gotten sleep in his life! Maybe he’s secretly a murderer, and he’s not completely wrong about that.
“Oh! Uhm, I’m sorry! I didn’t know you were taken!” The stranger replies, which is kind stupid because you’ve been telling him the whole time that you had a boyfriend and he just hasn’t been listening. This man’s ego is probably the biggest thing in the world.
“Really? Then why are you all over my girl when she’s clearly told you off?” Yuta says as his voice becomes deeper. Obviously, this excites you, and it also excites your friends as you hear them whistling and howling in laughter, or in embarrassment? You don’t know. But you do know that Yuta is going to make sure that everyone in the bar knows that your his tonight.
“Listen man! I didn’t really know any better! I thought it was just best to have some fun! I really didn’t know she was taken,” he states as he looks you desperately for help. Whether he gets let go or beat up all depends on you. Yuta then leans down and whispers something in your ear, and you see the stranger in front of you start breathing more heavily.
“Baby, do you wanna let him go or do you want me to show him a lesson for messing with my girl, huh?” Yuta whispers while his hands start roaming on the side of your body.
You really try to think about it, you do, but something just gets you excited when you see your boyfriend fight. You do feel sort of sorry for the stranger, maybe he’ll learn a lesson for the next time he goes to a bar, but maybe he might not even step foot into a bar ever again.
“I want you to show him a lesson, please,” you squeal. And a second later, you’re being passed onto Inumaki and Maki while Yuta rolls his sleeves of his white button up.
A crowd is starting to watch, some drunk and egging Yuta on, while others are looking around, hoping for someone to stop them.
The stranger is now terrified. He lifts his foot to turn around and run away until he’s grabbed by the neck, getting punched straight in the face, nose bleeding.
Everyone is now watching the scene unfold in front of them and they’re chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight!” As Yuta is now on top of the stranger, beating him down. The guy does get a few punches in, but it’s not enough.
A few more seconds pass by until Yuta is being held back by the security. He wipes the blood off of his lips and looks at you with a dangerous smile.
Let’s say that your group got kicked out that night, maybe forever.

[at the] bottom :: okkotsu yuuta
Tumblr media
authors’s note: hello! This is my own submission for my “Touch of Divine Rush” collab that I ran! I apologize I’m a day late. With my grandmother’s passing - it was very difficult to focus on any projects without getting emotional. I hope you all enjoy this!
warnings: yuuta x gender neutral!reader, they/them pronouns, retelling of orpheus and eurydice, sprinkle of sukuna x afab!oc (aruna from my crown of thorns series), sprinkle of retelling of hades and persephone, angst, mentions and depictions of death, hurt/loss, comfort, yuuta not listening to directions to save his life, this is probably one of the more tame fics I’ve written but I’m super happy with it
Tumblr media
so will you wait me out
or will you drown me out
“Yuuta!”
Panting and sweat dripping from his brow, Yuta shot up from his place next to the fire. How long has this journey gone on now? One day? Two? Three? He had seemingly lost count the further he journeyed into the underworld. Your voice was the only thing that kept him hoping and praying that this wasn’t for nothing.
He stood up before using the heel of his boot to extinguish the fire and grabbed his katana, securing it on his back. A sick feeling bubbled in his stomach. He knew he would have to fight to save you. But who could survive fighting the devil?
As he journeyed further, darkness seemingly surrounded him. The torch he used to give him light offered little assistance. It seemed the tunnel was growing longer with each step he took… and took him further down to hell.
Your name fell from his lips with a light whisper.
Your name was like music to his ears, causing a smile to curl over his lips. The sheer light in your eyes was enough to sustain him for life. With you, life seemingly made sense to him and he had a reason to continue, to keep fighting. It was as if life had meaning, had a purpose, again. Yuuta couldn’t just let you slip away so easily. He had to fight. For you… For both of you.
He called out your name again.
His voice grew louder as it echoed against the cave walls. A sigh fell from his lips as he reminisced about the last time he had spoken to you. Your hair caught in the breeze and the smile on your face only made the sparkle in your eyes even more pronounced. The way his name so easily slipped past your lips, like a chorus that constantly played over and over in his head. And almost within an instance - you were stolen from him.
Crying out your name, his voice echoed against the cave walls as he heard low growls echoing back toward him. He knew he was growing close as he slowly made out the large silhouette of what he would consider a monster.
“Cerberus,” he whispered to himself. He would have to stay quiet to sneak past the beast that guarded the gate to Hell. As his eyes strained at the darkness, he made out the yellow eyes of the three-headed dog before white teeth gleamed in the darkness. He tossed his torch aside, snuffing out the flame to confuse the beast before rushing into the darkness. If he made a run for it now, while it was confused by what direction he was coming from, he could seemingly get past it.
Or so he thought…
The beast’s massive paw came colliding with Yuuta’s body before sending him flying back against the wall. A low groan of pain emerged from the youth before he forced himself onto his feet. Blood seeped from the corner of his mouth as he wiped it away with his thumb.
“Clever beast,” he commented before grabbing his katana.
Yuuta rushed toward Cerberus before managing to stop its claws from striking him again with his katana before sending the blade through the flesh of the beast’s leg. Blood seeped from the wound, covering Yuuta’s face before the animal howled in pain and thrashed about, using its strength to try and take down Yuuta. Thankfully, Yuuta was able to dodge the onslaught before using the katana to injure the other leg.
“Stop!”
His body froze in place at the intruder.
“Stop it,” the voice was softer this time before Yuuta managed to make out a pair of red eyes.
“Who-?’ he asked, realizing the voice was feminine.
“What is a human doing here?” she asked.
Yuuta could feel the color draining from his face. It couldn’t be her.
“Answer me,” she hissed as the crimson in her eyes only darkened. “What is a human doing here? Get out… that is your final warning.”
It was the queen of hell herself. The lover of the devil. Perhaps, she would listen to his words.
“A-Aruna,” he began. “I’ve come here in search of my-”
Her red eyes narrowed. “... your lover is dead. You cannot save them. Not anymore,” she hissed. “Turn around and leave, mortal. You are not ready to be here.”
Her words made his stomach fall to his feet. It was impossible. “I want to see him.”
“He’ll kill you.”
“Then I’ll be with them.”
A heavy sigh left her lips as her gaze softened at his words. “You shouldn’t be in such a rush to die,” she commented. “Come…”
The walk was silent as Yuuta’s gaze stayed fixated on the dark queen in front of him. It seemed the rumors were true. She was cold and distant… it was said that her forced marriage to the king of the underworld only seemed to fuel her bitterness toward the world.
Aruna opened a door before walking inside. She signaled the guards to hold the door open so Yuuta may enter. His dark eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. Sure, it was dark - a perfect place for a king of the underworld, but it was filled with blazing torches and several extravagant decorations to flaunt the God of Death’s lesser-known titles of dealings with money.
“My queen…”
Aruna paused before looking up.
“What have you brought to me?”
“A mortal was found wandering the tunnels.”
Yuuta stepped into the room before looking up and seeing the God of death, the king of the underworld, leaning back on his throne with a smirk curling over his lips.
“He wishes for an audience with you,” Aruna explained before Sukuna motioned for her to approach the lesser throne next to him. Without question, she took her seat before a sigh fell from her lips.
Sukuna rested his chin in his hand before his red eyes flickered to his wife. “…for what? That silly dead-“
“I ask you to allow them to live. Let them leave this place and live out their days with me—!”
The grimace on Aruna’s face was enough to silence Yuuta as he knew he had made a grave mistake.
“Your lover is dead,” Sukuna spat. “A lost soul. You can’t get them back…”
“Please. There must be a way. Anything. I’ll do anything.”
The king of the underworld’s attention remained fixated on Yuuta before noticing his wife’s posture tensing in the seat next to him. “Anything you would like to say, my dear wife?” Sukuna asked, leaning into Aruna’s ear.
She turned to face him. Her face remained emotionless but the pain in her eyes was evident. “I think we should hear his case,” she whispered.
“…you sympathize with him?”
“He loves them,” she countered. “That much is clear. Why would he make such a treacherous journey if he did not truly love them? Let’s at least hear him out before you cast judgment.”
The smirk on his lips spread before running a hand through his queen’s fiery, red locks. “Boy…” he commanded. “Step forward. You may speak. You have my wife to thank.”
Yuuta was confused. Why would the queen of the underworld be so eager to hear his pleas after being so callous to him? Swallowing hard, he looked up at their thrones.
“Why?” he asked, quietly.
She was quiet for a moment, glancing away before returning her attention to him.
“Once upon a time,” she whispered, beginning a tale that sounded oddly familiar to Yuuta. A young goddess had grown weary of the life she was promised by her mother. She was to remain pure, untouched by any man or celestial being, and bring forth the spring each year. Everything had been so carefully calculated for her - the young goddess had no control, no say in her happiness… her own life.
The young goddess enjoyed her time away from her mother. And one day was seduced by words and promises to pull her away from the life that had been so carefully laid out for her. Quickly, she had agreed, disappearing into the darkness with a god, who promised her riches and a title no one could rival.
“And haven’t I showered you with more love and gifts than you could want?” Sukuna asked, his eyes fixated on his queen.
Yuuta was right.
This was her story…
She remained unmoved, staring at Yuuta. “She was seduced into darkness too soon. Perhaps, it’s too soon for your lover as well.”
Sighing, Sukuna stood up. “Speak.”
His body tensed, as the energy in the room shifted. “They-they were murdered,” Yuuta explained. “Taken before their time. The fates would never wish a fate so ill on any mortal. A monster slayed them…”
“A monster?”
“A centaur…”
Aruna’s gaze softened. “It pursued them?”
“And when they refused - it murdered them… I found their body… massacred.”
“Sukuna-”
His hand rose to silence his queen before staring at Yuuta once again. “You are correct the fates would not allow a mortal to die in such a fashion by such a creature,” he explained. “But, taking a soul back from the underworld is no easy task.”
Shaking his head, Yuuta shifted his weight from one foot to the other. “I’ll do anything.”
“I’ll allow you to lead their soul back,” Sukuna explained. “Under one condition.”
“Anything!”
“You may not look upon them once you begin your journey until they step out of the shadows and escape to the outside world,” he explained. “If you do… their soul is mine for eternity.”
“Sukuna-”
“Silence Aruna.”
Aruna sighed before looking away from him.
Sukuna returned his attention to Yuuta. “Do you understand?”
“…yes.”
Snapping his fingers, a figure appeared in front of Yuuta. His eyes widened before rushing toward you, encircling his arms around your body. Confusion washed over your expression, wondering just how you arrived here or why Yuuta was even here.
“Yuuta?”
His heart swelled at the sound of your voice saying his name in such a tender way before his grip on you tightened. “I’ve…I’ve come to take you home,” he whispered into your ear.
“Home…”
“Just remember our deal,” Sukuna interrupted.
“Of course,” Yuuta replied before turning away from you.
You were confused again as Yuuta refused to look at you again. “But Yuuta?”
“I’ll explain when we get out of here,” he assured you as he began walking away and motioning you to follow. Quickly, you followed trying to match the pace of his footsteps.
A sigh fell from his lips. Your footsteps… a reminder that you were still there. As long as he could make out your footsteps, he knew he could complete this challenge.
But the god of death wouldn’t give in so easily… Whispers of the dead began to fill the tunnel as Yuuta continued his long journey back with his lover in tow. He blinked, before shaking his head lightly. The whispers were becoming louder - harder to ignore. His lips fell into a frown.
“Yuuta…”
There it was. Your voice. Relief washed over him immediately.
“I’m right behind you Yuuta,” you continued.
“I know. I know.”
He strained his ears to listen to your soft footsteps, counting each one. One and two. One and two.
Are you sure they’re there?
Frozen, Yuuta stopped in his tracks.
He lied to you. He would never let anyone go.
The taunts were growing louder. Rubbing his head, Yuuta forced himself to keep going. Doubt began to fill his mind. Was she there?
“Yuuta,” you said again. “I’m right behind you.”
His steps faltered for a moment before a sense of relief washed over him again. Your voice managed to soothe the nagging sting s of doubt clouding his mind. You were there. Your steps were there. One and two. One and two.
Bright light flooded the tunnel, blinding Yuuta as he shielded his face with his forearm until his sight adjusted. The exit. Was it the exit? He took off in a sprint, knowing this hell was finally over.
“Yuuta! We did it!”
Your cheers were like music to him as the warm sunlight hit his pale face. A sigh fell from his lips before excitement filled his body. Quickly, he turned around to greet you. But what he hadn’t realized…
You hadn’t stepped out of the shadows yet.
“Yuuta… no.”
The light in your eyes before your body collapsed.
“No!”
Rushing to your lifeless body, Yuuta cradled you close to his chest. How could he have been so stupid? Tears flowed freely from his eyes before his body shook in remorse. How could he have done this to you?
He was so close.
And with that, the years passed. His body grew weary and tired. But not once did he forget about you. He embraced the idea of death, knowing you would be there to greet him one day and you could live out the dreams you once had planned for yourselves.
“Yuuta?”
His eyes widened before realizing he was standing in a beautiful garden, surrounded by flowers and trees. The blue sky above him was so peaceful that he couldn’t help but smile. He raised his hands, realizing his body was no longer frail, but young and strong again. Was this what death was truly like? What a magical place this was…
He heard his name again.
But the voice that spoke his name so gently, it couldn’t be…
Your name fell from his lips as he looked to see you standing with your arms outstretched wide.
“I’ve been waiting for you…”
He rushed toward you, embracing you tightly as a giggle bubbled from you.
“Welcome home…”
i can wait for you at the bottom
i can stay away if you want me to
i can wait for years if i gotta
heaven knows i ain't getting over you

You all took off into the forest at full sprint, with Maki and Itadori naturally pulling ahead of the rest of you. Clapping his hands together, Megumi summoned Divine Dog Black, who manifested with a unearthly howl. It effortlessly charged forward, nose raised in the air, testing it for the scent of the Grade 2 curse which had been released into the forest. This was the advantage of having more teammates than just Yuta — you weren’t responsible for nearly as much. Doubtless you would take advantage of your cursed signature detection, but the brunt of the tracking would be borne by the shikigami, who looked happy to do it, tail wagging as it bounded along.
At about the same time that you sensed a presence approaching, the Divine Dog barked out a warning. A grade three curse shaped vaguely like a spider dropped down in front of you, baring its fangs in an attempt to look threatening, though none of you were impressed. The Divine Dog looked proud of itself for detecting the curse, but unfortunately, it was not the curse’s signature that you felt drawing nearer.
“Watch out!” you shouted, grabbing onto Itadori’s red hood and yanking him backwards just in time. A huge fist rammed into the air where he had previously been standing, instead making contact with the grade three curse and sending it flying into a tree, where it promptly exploded from the force of the exorcism.
“Y/N L/N!” Todo thundered, pointing at you. “You owe me a fight!”
“Remember the plan!” Maki shouted.
“Sorry, Todo,” you called over your shoulder as you veered around him. “You’ll have to deal with him first!”
You split up into your predetermined groups, with Toge, Panda, and Nobara going in one direction as Maki and Megumi went the other. You and Tullia continued forwards, though you did turn your head, craning your neck to catch one last glimpse of Maki.
She locked eyes with you, and you tried your best to communicate to her with just that single glance what you wanted to say. Please. I will tell you everything when I can. Please don’t be hurt. Please know that you are my best friend. Something like that. If anyone could understand you from just one look, it had to be her, so you prayed that that was enough.
You couldn’t be sure, though. She rounded the corner before you were able to tell. Gradually, Toge, Nobara, and even Panda’s heavy footsteps faded as well, leaving you and Tullia truly alone. Reaching out with your cursed signature detection, you felt nothing, so you motioned for her to slow down.
“There’s no point in wasting energy,” you said. “There aren’t any curses or students in the immediate vicinity, so let’s slow down until we can pick where we want to go next.”
“Got it. How do we pick? Want me to close my eyes, spin, and point?” Tullia said.
“No,” you said. “I’ll be the one closing my eyes, and stealing some of your cursed energy while I’m at it. I’m sorry.”
“Oh, it’s no big deal. I’ll keep my eyes peeled in the meantime, just in case, though you know I won’t be much help while you’re borrowing my energy,” she said.
“It won’t be too much. I don’t need to use Composition; rather, I’m using your power to broaden the range of my cursed signature detection,” you said. Her mouth made a small ‘o’ of acknowledgement.
“Makes sense. Good luck!” she said.
You screwed your eyes shut, firstly reaching out for the other presence that was constantly intertwined with yours. It was the core of Tullia’s cursed technique, dancing alongside your own — in tandem for now, until you dipped your hand into it, siphoning it off bit by bit and letting it pour into your own self. It took a moment, but then there was a sudden surge of strength in your veins as the newfound source of power rushed through them.
Taking a deep breath, you widened the area of your cursed signature detection — which was really just an application of Dissection but supremely simplified — and searched the entire forest for the students. They were your biggest threat; although any of your classmates could handle a Grade 2 curse, you knew that some of the Kyoto students might pose some trouble to them, especially if they had teamed up.
Immediately, though, you noticed something curious. Towards the east were the signatures of Megumi and Divine Dog Black, and to the west were Toge, Panda, and Nobara, but for some reason, all of the Kyoto students’ signatures were concentrated near where you all, the Tokyo students, had begun the event. That is to say, all of the Kyoto students and —
“Itadori!” you gasped. “They’re trying to kill Itadori!”
“What?” Tullia said, voice trembling as she pressed a handkerchief to her nose, red overtaking the white of the fabric. Her face was pale and sweaty, but she smiled bravely at you, a reassurance that she was doing fine even if she looked the opposite. Inside, you felt her cursed energy thrum, rallying as she took a sip from the water bottle full of bleach she had brought with her, reinforcing her facade.
“Are you okay?” you said anyways. You often suspected that lending you her energy took a greater toll on Tullia than she’d ever admit to, but whenever any of you — Ieri, Gojo, or you yourself — asked, she denied it profusely. This time was much the same, as she shook her head, balling up the handkerchief and shoving it back in the small backpack she carried with her.
“I’m not the one you should be worrying about right now. What do you mean, they’re trying to kill Itadori? How can you tell?” she said.
“It’s only a hunch, but what other reason would all of the Kyoto students have to be gathered around him? That’s where they’re all located, by the way, and why we haven’t run into any of them despite how proactively they sabotaged us during the last exchange event,” you said.
“Why, though? He’s such a sweet boy!” Tullia said.
“Tullia,” you said incredulously. “You know, I really admire you for getting to know someone like that, but did you forget that he’s literally Sukuna’s vessel? It’s not a surprise that they want to kill him.”
“But killing is forbidden in the challenge. The only objective is to hunt down the curse,” she said.
“Oh, they’re hunting down a curse alright,” you said, pulling out your phone and swearing loudly when calling Noritoshi sent you straight to voicemail, further confirming your suspicions. “Just not the one that was released for us to exorcise.”
“They really see him like that?” she said. You sighed.
“Of course they do. Or maybe it’s just that it doesn’t matter to them; at any rate, I know Noritoshi is the dutiful type. I wouldn’t put it past Principal Gakuganji to ask him to do something like that, and if the principal demanded it, then he’d definitely oblige. And the rest of the Kyoto students would probably follow his lead, so that’s just as likely of an explanation,” you said.
“I can’t believe they’re all ganging up on him,” Tullia said. “That’s ridiculous, and cowardly.”
“No, not necessarily all of them,” you said, allowing yourself to smile fondly. “There’s one that might even take a liking to him. If it’s like that, then he’ll only have to prove himself once, and that’ll be enough. The others will leave him alone then, too.”
“Todo?” Tullia guessed. You nodded.
“He’s that sort,” you said. “If Todo decides he likes Itadori, then it’s just up to Itadori to prove himself worthy of standing beside him and fighting. Whether he fails or succeeds is a different matter entirely, but I know Todo won’t let the others interfere in the process. That’s the scenario we should be hoping for.”
“What should we do in the meantime, then?” Tullia said. “How far are we from Itadori? If you take on Todo, we should be able to deal with the others. Tell me which way so that we can get to him as fast as possible! That would be the best case scenario, right?”
“No,” you said. It was a split-second decision, but you made it and hoped that your instinct was correct. This time, it was Tullia’s turn to give you an aghast look.
“You’re seriously going to leave him to die?” she said.
“Of course not,” you said. “I can guarantee you that Megumi and Panda, at least, have come to similar conclusions as us, just based on how peaceful the forest is at the moment. Megumi won’t leave Itadori to fight on his own, that’s for sure, and Maki will definitely support him in that. Panda always makes good judgments, so I’m certain he’ll split up their group, with him and, if I had to guess, Nobara heading to Itadori’s defense, while Toge, the higher ranked of the group, continues to search for the second grade curse. Just like we will.”
“With Megumi, Maki, Panda, and Nobara there to help him, they should be able to handle things,” Tullia agreed. “But why should we focus on the event? Doesn’t it kind of take a backseat to something like this?”
“Normally, I’d agree. Even now, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth to seemingly abandon him like this; however, leaving him behind and searching for the target is actually the best thing we can do at this point. Think about it: once we kill that curse, the challenge is over. If we do it quickly enough, then they won’t even get the chance to kill Itadori. Furthermore, we can then confer with Gojo about our suspicions and figure out what to do next,” you said.
“I get it now!” Tullia said. “No wonder you’re a Grade 1 sorcerer, Y/N. You’ve got this stuff figured out.”
“Thank you. It’s really just practice, though — you remember how many missions I had to go on as a Semi-Grade 1? Those were the worst few months of my life. I had to get better at reading and adapting to situations in the moment just because if I didn’t, people would die,” you said, shuddering at just the memory of how many odd missions you had been sent on. You thought it was a little cruel that the majority of difficult assignments were actually given to Semi-Grade 1 sorcerers instead of the Grade 1s, but it made sense; after all, once a sorcerer attained the rank of Grade 1, they had weight behind their name. They could make decisions and choose what they did and didn’t do, with the power and status to reinforce those decisions, but the same could not be said for Semi-Grade 1 sorcerers, who were chasing their recommendations and therefore willingly accepted whichever missions came their way.
“I’ll be on your level one day,” she said. “You can count on it.”
“I believe you,” you said. “I don’t think you’re too far off, either. If you do well enough during this event, you’ll definitely get your initial recommendations in.”
“Right! Then let’s get the curse exorcised!” she said, clenching her fist, determination blazing in her eyes. You patted her on the shoulder.
“Yes,” you said. “Let’s do that.”
Just then, a shout resounded through the entire forest. Birds flew out of the trees in alarm, and it genuinely reverberated in your bones from its depth and volume, though you knew that its origin was somewhere far from where you currently were. Though it definitely sounded like something concerning, the voice made you grin widely.
“Wrong!”
“What was that?” Tullia said, literally jumping in surprise. You laughed.
“That,” you said, some of your worry easing at the development, “was Todo. He’s taken Itadori under his wing, alright; it seems like he’ll be okay for now, as long as he can keep up with Todo’s nonsense.”
“Great!” Tullia said. “Though, doesn’t that mean that the rest of the Kyoto students—?”
“—are free to do as we please? Yes, it’s true,” a musical voice said. Before Tullia could react, there was a shrill whistle piercing the air, and then a rope slithered through the underbrush, wrapping around her ankles and pulling her down to the ground.
“Elakshi,” you greeted, tossing a needle at the rope which whipped towards you. Though it wasn’t a human, it was still an object imbued with cursed energy, much like Momo’s broom had been. Therefore, Dissection worked perfectly fine on it, showing its weak spots and allowing you to destroy the entire thing in one hit.
“Hello, Y/N, Tullia,” she said, revealing herself from where she had been hiding in the trees. In the meantime and along with much angered muttering, Tullia managed to untie the rope from around her ankle, staggering to her feet and stomping on it irritation before kicking it away.
“We both know you aren’t a match for me,” you said. “So why’d they send you after us? I thought for sure that Noritoshi would come himself.”
“Noritoshi is otherwise preoccupied,” Elakshi said evenly. You noticed that in the time she had been in Kyoto, her accent had grown thinner, though it would likely completely leave her. This made you strangely proud of her. If her accent was the only thing she had left of who she had been once and where had come from, then you hoped she never got rid of it, that she clung onto it forever.
“Y/N, can you just beat her up?” Tullia complained. Elakshi whistled again, a low, sweet tone. The rope reared up at Tullia, but this time she was prepared, punching it out of the way in disdain. It fell to the ground once more, but Elakshi did not bother with it, instead returning her attention to me.
“What you said is indeed correct. There is no world in which I can beat you. Even Noritoshi would struggle. In this moment, in the situation we are in, you seem to be the strongest sorcerer participating in the event. You, Toge Inumaki, and Aoi Todo: those are the three that we are the most wary of,” she said.
“So Todo isn’t allied with you all,” you said. “I knew he wouldn’t be.”
“Todo isn’t a person who allies with anyone, but he also won’t fight us without reason. As long as we stay out of his way, he’s not an issue. That leaves you and Inumaki as our biggest concerns for the purpose of this event. We spent a long time thinking of ways to counter the two of you, but eventually, we figured it out,” she said.
“And what would said counters be?” Tullia snapped from the background. Elakshi rolled her eyes, whistling again at the rope, which once again tried to go after Tullia. This time, though, Tullia took a shot of bleach before grabbing the rope and ripping it in half. It wilted in her hands, and she smugly threw it into a nearby bush, brushing her hands off against her pants.
“I’m not at liberty to discuss such confidential information, but rest assured, they definitely exist,” Elakshi said.
“It has something to do with you. There’s a reason why you came instead of Noritoshi,” you guessed. She hummed in thought before shrugging mysteriously.
“Yes and no. There’s a reason it was me and not one of the others, but it could’ve been Noritoshi if he chose it to be like that. I was not jesting when I said that he was currently engaged with other tasks,” she said.
“Like killing Itadori?” Tullia guessed. This time, Elakshi did not send the rope after her just for daring to speak; instead, she pressed her lips together.
“Todo is the one handling Itadori. The person whom Noritoshi is concerned with is different, but that’s not anything that the two of you need to focus on at the moment,” she said.
“What should we focus on, then? You just seem to be talking a lot at the moment, so what’s the big deal?” Tullia said. Elakshi pinched the bridge of her nose.
“I’ll stop talking then,” she said. “Since you’re so opposed, how about I whistle instead? Would that please you more?”
“Not really,” Tullia said. “But — shit!”
Ropes descended upon the two of you, shooting out from the tree branches, rising up from the grass, wriggling out from under Elakshi’s uniform. It was like a swarm, ropes swirling everywhere and battering at you while Elakshi continued to whistle in the background, an eerie tune that grated on your nerves.
You brandished your needles, but to your surprise, most of the ropes flew past you. The ones that tried to wrap around your limbs were quickly dealt with, bursting into smithereens and then raining down on the grass like the dying embers of a fire. However, the majority of them were concentrated on Tullia, and when the storm finally ceased, all of the ropes now where Elakshi wanted them, you realized why she had targeted Tullia instead of you: Tullia didn’t have a method to completely destroy the ropes the way you did, especially not so many at once. She had clearly managed to rip apart a few of them, but they had remained under Elakshi’s control, and the result was that Tullia was totally restrained, with something resembling a noose hanging around her neck.
“If you don’t drop your needles right now, I’ll tighten it,” Elakshi said. “She’ll die.”
“You can’t kill during the exchange event,” you reminded her. She stared at you blankly.
“Don’t put me in the position to, and I won’t,” she said. You ground your teeth. Would your needles be faster than Elakshi’s whistle? Most definitely, and even if they weren’t, Tullia would probably not be choked for long enough to actually kill her before you destroyed the rope. She’d likely suffer from some injuries, but Composition would be enough to take care of those, so it was a risk worth taking. You had just about decided to throw the needles anyways when you were interrupted by Tullia clearing her throat.
“You don’t have to do that, Y/N,” she said. “You’re already a Grade 1 sorcerer, right? There’s no need for you to play the hero and save me. Let me take care of the situation; I want to look good so I can get a promotion, after all!”
“You’re fully restrained,” Elakshi said, obviously unamused. “What can you even do at this point? It would be in your best interest to ask me not to kill you or to beg Y/N to save you.”
“Those are the kind of options that a sorcerer who doesn’t aim for Grade 1 status would take! But that’s not who I am. I’m a person that’s planning to receive my initial recommendations after this event!” Tullia said.
“It doesn’t matter who you are or aren’t,” Elakshi said. “You can’t do anything. Accept your defeat.”
“This idea came to me earlier,” Tullia said. “After seeing Itadori. Did you know they call Sukuna the King of Poisons, too? I remembered that after looking at him, and it made me think…aren’t I like that, too?”
“What do you mean?” Elakshi said. The corners of Tullia’s mouth curled upwards, but the expression she was donning could not in any world be considered a smile. Biting your lip, you tucked your needles away and bowed your head at her in acknowledgement. If she wanted it this badly, and if she was really so confident that she could beat Elakshi, then it’d be unfair of you to take the chance from her.
“I used to think that the poison I drank was converted directly into cursed energy, but now I don’t believe that that’s the case. For me, poison is a stimulant, something that drives my body’s cursed energy production into overdrive. It can’t harm me for that reason,” she said.
“Get on with it,” Elakshi said. It was clear that she wanted to tighten the noose and be done with the affair, but then she’d have to contend with you, and that was a fight she wasn’t willing to risk, even with the knowledge of whatever weakness of yours that the Kyoto students had discovered.
“That doesn’t mean it leaves me, though,” Tullia said. “It lingers in my body. Again, it doesn’t harm me, but don’t you think that it’d harm someone else? Something else?”
Elakshi’s eyes widened, and she extended her hand as if to stop Tullia. Belatedly, she remembered to whistle, and it was a high-pitched, panicked sound, but it didn’t matter. Tullia had already bit down on her lip, and blood began to flow from her mouth, first in little droplets and then all at once, streaming down her chin and sizzling when it landed on the ropes, reacting with their latent cursed energy and eating away at them until they dissolved into nothingness, leaving Tullia entirely free to move once more.
“No,” Elakshi whispered, now entirely defenseless and facing off against not one but two fully armed sorcerers. “No!”
She whistled again, and the pieces of rope Tullia had discarded in the bush earlier slunk out from it. You prepared to defend yourself, as did Tullia, but it seemed that this time, you two were not the target of the ropes — Elakshi herself was.
“What are you doing?” you said in alarm as she began to choke, the ropes growing tighter and tighter around her neck. “Elakshi, what are you doing to yourself?”
“Seeing if Noritoshi was right,” she wheezed out, coughing dryly from a lack of oxygen. You and Tullia could only watch in horror as she cut off her own air supply until eventually, her eyes rolled back in her head and she collapsed, the ropes falling limp beside her.
“What the hell?” Tullia said. “Why did she do that?”
“I don’t know,” you said. “I’m trying to think, but I genuinely can’t understand why she’d choose to do such a thing.”
“Maybe she just wanted to go out on her own terms instead of ours. I guess it doesn’t matter; if she’s out, she’s out. Do we just leave her here and move on?” Tullia said.
“Let’s heal her first. Neck injuries are no joke, and she should be dazed enough that I can paralyze her with a needle before she thinks to fight back,” you said. “Oh, also, nice job with the blood thing! That was really clever, though I am a little confused. Why doesn’t your blood react with everything like that? Your handkerchiefs, your clothes, why don’t any of those dissolve like those ropes did?”
“It was a wager that I made,” Tullia said. “I didn’t explain it fully. The lingering poison in my bloodstream is closer to cursed energy than anything, as an after-effect of encountering my cursed technique, so I bet that it only reacts to things that also have cursed energy, and even then, only when they were actively using cursed energy — so, like, a sorcerer wouldn’t be impacted unless they were in the immediate process of using their technique or something. I guess my bet paid off!”
“I’d say so. That was definitely good thinking, Tullia, congratulations,” you said. She gave you a thumbs up.
“Thanks! Alright, if you’re planning on using Composition on her, then just know that I’ll be weaker for a bit. It’ll be my second time lending you my cursed energy with not so long in between the instances, so even though I can drink poison to replenish myself, it’ll probably still leave me drained for a bit,” she said.
“I don’t detect any curses or sorcerers in the vicinity, so we should be okay. Once I’ve healed and paralyzed Elakshi, we just have to exorcise the target curse. It won’t be hard for me, so I’ll get it done and then buy you pizza while you relax and recover in bed,” you said.
“Okay, sounds like a plan,” Tullia said, sitting criss-cross on the ground and motioning towards Elakshi. “Whenever you’re ready.”
You knelt by the fallen sorcerer, rolling your shoulders in preparation and then once again seeking out Tullia’s cursed energy. It was there in an instant, and you swallowed before scanning over Elakshi’s body, focusing especially on her throat.
“Composition,” you said. There was a thud as Tullia hit the ground; you must’ve stolen more energy than you had originally anticipated, or maybe she was just that spent. You vowed to heal Elakshi as quickly as possible and set out to do just that, but you soon realized something was wrong: for some reason, despite the fact that you had literally watched her choke herself to unconsciousness, your technique was insisting that there was nothing wrong with her.
A twitch of Elakshi’s lips was all the warning you got before her eyes flew open and she whistled with an ear splitting intensity. The ropes she had choked herself with — no, feigned choking herself with — moved too fast for the eye to see, and by the time you thought to react, they were already wrapped around your hands, binding them together behind your back, your needles out of reach.
“You bluffed,” you said. “That whole thing was just an act.”
“Of course,” she said. “I’m not the sacrificial type anymore. It only worked because we knew you so well, though; at any rate, I was hoping you’d be paired up with that other Zenin girl, but I guess that in a pinch, Tullia and I work.”
“What do you mean? Are you talking about my weakness or whatever?” you said, struggling against your bonds, though it was in vain.
“You haven’t figured it out yet? Well, I can hardly blame you. People tend to be blinder when it comes to recognizing their own flaws,” she said. “Say, do you think I’ll be recommended for promotion now, too? I’ve restrained a Grade 1 sorcerer. I think that’s pretty promotion worthy.”
“I’m going to tell Gojo to levitate outside of your window without his blindfold tonight,” you muttered rebelliously. “I hope you stare into his absurdly blue eyes and feel true fear.”
“Let her go!” Tullia said, though she was obviously a little woozy, stumbling as she ran towards Elakshi.
“Sit down,” you said to her. “You need to recover. I might be out for the count, but you can still fight if you drink some poison and let yourself rest.”
“That’s true, she is still a threat,” Elakshi said, looking at Tullia before clicking her tongue. “It’s fine, though. She won’t recover in time. As long as you’re no longer a viable player, Y/N, Kyoto will win.”
You went to argue in defense of your classmates, but just then, a dark veil began to creep over the sky. You furrowed your brow, giving Elakshi a worried look. She was staring at the sky, obviously just as confused as you were.
“As someone who participated in the event last year, I can say with full confidence that that’s not supposed to be there,” you said.
“Who could possibly be putting down a veil at this moment?” Elakshi said.
“I know it seems counterintuitive, but you have to let me go now. I don’t know what this whole veil thing is about, but if you have me restrained like this, then you’re seriously jeopardizing everybody in the forest. If someone has hijacked the event, then I need to get to Todo and coordinate a plan to take them out,” you said. You thought it might take more convincing, but Elakshi was sensible enough to let her ropes fall away in an instant, leaving you free to move around once again. You flexed your wrists before looking up at the sky, your mind working overtime to figure out what the likely explanation was.
Like a punch to your stomach, you felt an enormously malevolent presence enter the area of the veil. There was only one type of being that emitted that kind of aura: the disaster curses that you and Gojo had encountered. Your nails dug into the soft skin of your palm, forming crescent moons in the skin, and you shifted from foot to foot at the development.
It had to be the work of the spy. They must’ve informed the curses that you all would be alone in the forest like this, away from the safety of the teachers’ protection. Gojo was all of the way in the faculty building, which meant that he might not even know what was happening — you weren’t sure if Mei Mei’s crows worked through veils, so there was a real chance that he was in the dark. That meant that this was the ideal moment for the curses to strike, and it also supported your earlier assessment.
“Elakshi,” you said. “Take Tullia and get out of here. Forget about the event, just get out of the veil and take her to Ieri if possible.”
“What about you?” she said.
“Whoever put this veil up is working with special-grade curses, one of which is inside the veil at this very moment. Because of the veil, it’s not a guarantee that the faculty knows what’s going on, which means that as of this moment, Todo and I are the highest ranked sorcerers aware of what’s happening. That means it’s my responsibility to take care of everyone. I have to hold this curse off until help can arrive,” you said.
“By help, do you mean Gojo?” Elakshi said, at first trying to get Tullia to lean against her but then giving up and picking her up, carrying her bridal style.
“Yes, he’s the only one who can certainly deal with this,” you said.
“I’ll try to reach him first, then,” she said.
“Sounds like a plan. Be safe. Avoid combat at all costs; this is not an opponent you can fight alone and win against,” you said.
“Understood. You be safe, too,” she said. “Don’t let your weakness make you lose again.”
“I’ll do my best,” you said, even though you still couldn’t understand what that weakness could possibly be. There was no time for further chitchat, though. Without another second to waste, the two of you took off in opposite directions, her towards the exit of the forest and you towards the river where you sensed Megumi facing off against the special grade curse.
It wasn’t the volcano-headed one, that was for sure, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t powerful. And was Megumi fighting it alone? No, there was no way he was. Maki was definitely with him, but you just couldn’t sense her due to her lack of cursed energy. She wouldn’t have abandoned Megumi, and she was fine. She had to be fine. There was no way she wasn’t.
Still, the mere chance that she might not be was enough to push you further, faster, until you were bursting out of the forest and skidding in the slick mud of the riverbank. Both Maki and Megumi did not even notice your arrival, so focused were they on fighting the enormous humanoid curse with the branches for eyes, but the tension left you as you saw that Maki was alright.
The curse must have been the one Gojo and Itadori had encountered the other day, the one who had saved the volcano-head at the last minute. It hadn’t attacked them, only run away with its accomplice, but that only meant that it was theoretically capable of anything, that none of you were aware of what the extent of its skills and techniques were. Maki and Megumi had the upper hand for now, but how long would that last? And everyone was moving so fast that there was no way you could throw a needle, for fear of accidentally hitting one of your allies instead of the curse.
You could not hesitate, though. Even if hand-to-hand combat wasn’t your area of proficiency, you still had to try. You were the Grade 1 sorcerer; you were the one responsible for the lives of your classmates. Todo was nowhere to be found, which meant that it was really up to you. You were not allowed to let any of the others fall before you, especially not her. Especially not your best friend.
There was no one single explanation for it, at least not one that was immediately evident. Maybe Megumi faltered having to use an unfamiliar weapon, or maybe it was the splash of your boots in the current that caught them off guard; either way, for a moment, the two of them were distracted, and in that moment, the curse struck. Strange bud-like growths blossomed in Megumi’s torso, ripping his stomach open and cackling amongst themselves as they did so. He collapsed, and you inhaled, about to run towards him when you suddenly realized something — the curse wasn’t poised to deal a finishing blow to him anymore. Instead, it’s focus was on something — someone else.
“I was hoping you’d be paired up with that other Zenin girl.”
“My needles. My friendship with Maki. Those are mine.”
“The next time you mention my friends — the next time you even dare to say Maki’s name — I will aim my needle a little lower, and I will not miss.”
“Well, I love her. She is the reason that I am the person I am.”
Why had Elakshi said that? What did it all mean? Why were you thinking about these things now? What had Noritoshi and Elakshi comprehended about you that even you had not yet? Because there was something you were missing. It was right in front of you, but you could not understand it yet, nor did you have the time to, because that curse, it was about to attack — it was about to attack —
“Don’t let your weakness make you lose again.”
What was your biggest weakness?
“Maki!” you cried out, wrapping your arms around her shoulders as you shielded her body with your own, knocking her out of the way of the assault. The curse’s branch pierced your back, gouging a hole into it before retracting in victory as you fell to the ground at Maki’s feet.
“Y/N?” she breathed. “Y/N, what are you — hey, don’t you touch her again! Let go of her!”
A root sprouted from the ground, wrapping around you and ripping you away from where Maki had been about to pick you up. Suspending you in midair, the curse regarded you carefully, batting Maki away with a different root as it did so.
“Are you the one that Jogo met? There’s a different air to you than there was to the other two,” it said.
“Y/N!” Megumi said, coughing up blood as he tried to stand. You knew he wanted to protect you, you knew Maki wanted to protect you, but they weren’t strong enough. Both of them were beaten down already, tired off from holding off the curse for so long, but you didn’t blame the two for it. They had done the best they could. In fact, they had done better than anyone could’ve expected them to do.
“It’s alright,” you said, even as your vision began to swim, the pain of your wound and the subsequent blood loss causing your mind to grow blurry. Tullia was exhausted already, so you couldn’t call upon Composition at the current moment, which meant you couldn’t heal yourself, but it was fine. “Megumi. Maki. It’s okay.”
“What do you mean?” Megumi said.
“I’m not the only Grade 1 sorcerer around,” you said. “I think it’s just about time for my rival to make his appearance.”
As if on cue, there was a great crash, the force of which sent the curse reeling backwards. In the ensuing chaos, hidden by the waves of water that were created from the impact, you were dimly aware of your body being snatched from the curse’s grip and cradled in a pair of bulky arms.
“Sorry for the delay,” Todo said, so gentle with you despite how rough his exterior seemed. “Poor Y/N, always getting hurt like this! Don’t worry. My best friend and I will avenge you!”
“Best…friend?” you mumbled. “Never mind. Listen, this thing is a special grade.”
“You think I can’t handle it because of that?” he said derisively.
“No, just be careful,” you said, your head lolling against his shoulder. “Don’t die or anything, okay?”
“Well, if it’s my most trusted advisor and dearest rival asking for that kind of favor, then I can’t say no!” Todo said. “Panda! Take these three and get them out of here. According to Nishimiya’s report, the veil is an anti-Satoru-Gojo veil, so the rest of us can come and go as we please.”
“I’m on it!” Panda said, slinging Megumi over his shoulder, prompting a groan out of him. He went to do the same to Maki, but she shook her head.
“I can walk,” she said. “I’ll take her.”
“Are you sure?” Panda said. “You look tired out.”
“It’s fine,” Maki insisted. “She’s only even like that because she took the blow for me. It’s my fault, so I’ll be the one to take her back.”
“If you say so,” Panda said. Then you were being deposited into another, more slender embrace, and you knew even with your eyes drooping closed that it was Maki’s.
“Maki,” you said. “Maki, I miss you.”
“I miss you too, idiot,” she said. “Why’d you have to go and be all dramatic about it, though, huh? And why aren’t you healing yourself?”
“Tullia’s…unconscious. Can’t draw on her cursed energy when it’s so depleted,” you said, and even though every word hurt, you kept talking, because it was Maki, because you’d take all the pain in the world to keep talking to her.
“I see,” Maki said. “And how’d that end up happening?”
She was trying to ensure you stayed awake. She must’ve been afraid that if you went to sleep, you might not ever wake up again. You didn’t think the injury was that serious, but it must’ve looked like that, with so much blood everywhere and the wound so deep.
“Elakshi,” you said. “D’you know she figured out my weakness? Her and Noritoshi. I don’t even know what it is myself, though.”
“It’s that you’re shitty at hand to hand combat. How many times do I have to kick your ass until you understand that?” she said. “I bet if you trained with me more often, you wouldn’t be like this right now.”
“Maybe not,” you said. “I’m really tired, Maki.”
“I get it,” she said. “Yeah, me too. Can you stay awake for just a little bit longer? We’re almost there.”
“Don’t know,” you said. “Don’t think so.”
“Okay,” she said. “I’ll watch over you if that’s the case. You can rest, Y/N. You’ve done what you needed to do.”
With Maki’s permission, sleep claimed you all-too-easily, though it was fitful and uneasy, like you couldn’t quite rest yet, like your mind had been jostled and was trying its best to recover. Even the familiar scent of her laundry detergent wasn’t enough to soothe you, and it was only once you were being placed onto the cold surface of a hospital bed that you were able to wake up.
“Mama?” you said. Nothing was in focus, but there was a woman at your side, and even though it should’ve been your father and his Reverse Cursed Technique that you sought out, it was your mother who you hoped was there. Your mother, who you had not called mama since you were a child; even if she couldn’t do anything, you wanted her there.
“No,” the woman said. “Your parents didn’t come to the event, Y/N, remember? It’s me, Ieri. We’ve called the healers of the L/N clan to come work on the rest of the students, but it might be a bit until they get here. I’m healing you and Tullia first in the hopes that you can help me in the meantime.”
“Oh,” you said, and though you had nothing against Ieri, you couldn’t help but feel disappointed. “Gojo? Where is — where is Gojo?”
“He’s trying to get Todo and Itadori out of the veil,” Ieri said. “I’m sorry. It’s just us two.”
A tear trickled down your cheek, and then another, and another. Ieri was silent; for a while, you thought she might be ignoring you, which you would not blame her for doing. Her job was only to heal you, nothing more but nothing less, either.
Yet she was your teacher, too. You didn’t think she would’ve done it for anyone else, but for you, for the Reverse Cursed Technique user that she had helped train herself, she healed with only one hand, doubling the pain and the effort it would require, doubling the strain she took upon her.
With the other, she held yours and squeezed.

It had been nine months since he had broken up with her. Y/N hadn’t taken it well at all. She found herself crying almost every single day because she missed him so much and she couldn’t understand why he had just heartlessly broken up with her the way he did. She missed him so much that it shattered her entire being and she wanted nothing more than to have him back. She would do anything just to have him back.
And so in a last ditch effort, Y/N decided to go and see him. She didn’t know what possessed her to even come up with this idea in the first place, but she was going to do whatever it takes. It was pathetic as hell and she knew that nobody could ever understand what she was going through, but she had to do this no matter what.
When Y/N arrived at the building, she headed straight for his office. She didn’t even bother knocking and just walked into the room.
“You must want to die,” he narrowed his eyes. He had warned her away from him before when she attempted to see him again, but she obviously didn’t listen to him at all. Y/N wasn’t scared of him or his lifestyle. She accepted it a hundred percent.
“I don’t care if you find me to be a nuisance or if you hate me. I still want to be with you no matter what,” she told him. He stared at her for a moment before he burst into laughter. She didn’t feel as embarrassed as she should have about it.
“You are really pathetic. You still want to be with me? You’re insane,” he howled with laughter.
“I’m serious, Yuta. I want to be with you no matter what,” she said, walking around the desk. He turned his chair in her direction and she moved closer to him. She dropped to her knees in front of him and he watched her.
“You really are desperate,” he smirked.
“I want you, Yuta,” she purred.
“And I don’t want you,” he countered.
“I don’t care,” she shot at him. She unbuttoned his pants and pulled down the zipper with her teeth. She kept her eyes on him as she pulled his cock out of his underwear.
“Don’t use your hands,” he told her. She took him deep into her mouth as she braced her hands on his legs. She hollowed out her cheeks as she bobbed her head up and down his length. He watched her with those piercing eyes of his as she sucked his cock.
She took him even deeper into her mouth until her mouth was touching the base. She noticed him throwing his head back. Her mouth went back up to the tip and she sucked on it.
“You’re going too slow for me, Princess,” he took a hold of her hair and began facing fucking her. The tip of his dick kissed the back of her throat more than once as he used her mouth. She could feel tears forming in her eyes as he fucked her mouth.
He was definitely enjoying using her to his heart’s content, “Fuck your throat feels so good.”
Her eyes rolled into the back of her head because of how good he felt in her throat. She really enjoyed the taste of him.
Soon, his cum was painting the back of her throat and he held her there. Ropes and ropes of his had spurted into her throat. She made sure to swallow every last drop. He let go of her hair and she released his cock with a wet pop.
He yanked her off the floor and pulled her into his lap, “maybe I’ll grant you your wish. I’ll let you be with me.”
“What does that mean?” Y/N asked.
“That means you’re mine until I say so. When I call, you will spread your legs for me and me only,” he explained, pressing her down on his exposed length. She felt her pussy jolt at the feeling of his cock below her.
“And when I’m done with you, then you never come back again. Do you understand?” Yuta replied, moving her back and forth on his length.
“Yes,” she mewled.
“It doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing, you have to drop what you’re doing and come when I call,” he told her.
“Y-Yes, sir,” she moaned softly.
“I’m glad we could be in agreement,” he grinned. He pulled a switchblade out of his pocket and moved it near her underwear. She attempted to move away but he held her there as he cut away her underwear.
“Put it in,” he ordered. Obediently, she took him into her hand, raising her bottom slightly and positioned him at her entrance. Slowly, she began to slide down his length as he stretched her.
Suddenly, he slammed her down causing her to let out a noise of surprise. He repeated that same action again, then began a rhythmic pace as he moved her up and down. Y/N looked down, watching him slide in and out of her turned her on even more.
“Yuta!” Y/N cried out. The sound of skin slapping filled the office along with the sounds of her moans.
“You’re just happy to finally have a cock inside you, aren’t you?” Yuta sneered. She was too focused on what she was feeling to even answer him.
“Fuck! You’re clenching around me because of that? You’re such an easy bitch to please,” he grinned.
“P-please…n-no,” she panted.
“Just admit it, Y/N. You’re desperate,” he murmured.
“I’m…I’m desperate!” Yueliang cried out shamelessly. He laughed harshly again.
“You’re desperate for my cum aren’t you? You’re desperate for me to fill this filthy cunt?” Yuta taunted.
“Yes. P-please cum inside me, Yuta,” she begged, feeling tears in her eyes.
“Why should I?” Yuta asked, “Give me a good reason.”
“B-because I’m a desperate slut,” she answered.
“Good, girl, but I’ve changed my mind,” he said, pulling out. She let out a whine from him not being inside of her any longer. He placed her onto his desk and shoved two fingers inside of her. He thrusted his fingers in and out of her.
“Yuta, please put it inside me again. Please,” she begged, grabbing onto his hand. He continued pumping his fingers in and out of her at a blinding pace.
“Mm…no, Princess. You’ll have to be satisfied with this,” he smirked.
“Please—“ he silenced her pleas by kissing her hard. She moaned into his mouth as she felt him fuck her hard with his fingers. Her legs attempted to close, but he kept them spread apart firmly with one hand.
Soon she exploded around his fingers, ripping her lips away from his to let out one long moan as she soaked his fingers. He removed his fingers and dropped to his knees, then began spreading her folds with his tongue. She jerked away, but he held her close and ran his tongue from her opening to her clit.
“Ah!” Y/N moaned. He began sucking on her clit, making her moan loudly. As much as she wanted to close her, he held them open and kept her where she was. She had nowhere to run and all she did was just take it, especially when his tongue entered her. It thrashed around inside of her as she cried out as loud as she could until her voice became hoarse.
When she came on his face, he pulled away and wiped his face with a handkerchief. He stuffed himself back into his pants and then straightened out his clothes.
“I’ll call you,” he told her, smacking her clit. She moved off his desk and left the office feeling satisfied that she did whatever she needed to do.
Much to her friend’s chagrin, Y/N continued seeing Yuta. She didn’t really care what they thought because she was glad that he was back in her life, even if he was using her for her body.
The only downside to the arrangement was that he only had her in either his office, his car, or a hotel. Never his home and that disappointed her, but she wasn’t going to say anything to him about it because then he might end it. She didn’t want this to ever end.
“You know, I never told you to take a shower or that you could put your clothes back on,” he remarked.
“Were you going to cuddle me in bed or something?” Y/N inquired. Her heart swelled at the idea and then it broke a little because she knew that he wasn’t going to do that with.
“I was giving you a break. I don’t want you to break,” he answered.
“Anyways, I can’t stay long. I have somewhere to be tomorrow,” she informed. As much as she wanted to stay, she had to go. One thing she hated about this was that she always woke up in the room alone. She hated it so much so she began getting dressed so she could leave before him.
“Get over here,” he ordered.
“Yuta, I have to go,” she told him.
“Get over here now,” he repeated in a much firmer voice. Y/N stood where she was and didn’t make a move at all.
The tall man got out of the bed and grabbed her face, “what did I say?”
“I have somewhere to be and you need to stop grabbing my face,” she hissed. He moved his hand to the back of her neck and forced her to look up at him.
“The next time I order you to do something, you do it. Understand?” Yuta glared at her.
“Yuta, I am not going back to bed,” she replied. He glared at her for a while before a smirk formed on his lips.
“You can go home,” he conceded, walking over to the bed and sitting down. Y/N was confused. He was really giving up so easily. It was making her suspicious, especially with the way he was smirking. She had a feeling that if she walked out the door, then something bad would happen.
He was still smirking at her and the feeling in the pit of her stomach wouldn’t go away. She looked between him and the door. Defeatedly, she made her way back over to him and stood between his legs.
“What happened? I thought you were going home,” he smirked.
“I’m…I’m not,” she mumbled. He grabbed her face and brought it down to his.
“Are you going to defy me again?” Yuta questioned.
“No,” she answered.
“No, what?” Yuta asked.
“No, sir,” she replied.
“Good, girl,” he pecked her lips, “Strip, then get face down on the bed.”
Silently, she began stripping out of her clothes, letting them pool at her feet. She got onto the bed and went straight to position. He got up and pulled her body closer to the edge. When his hand touched her ass, she flinched a little.
He began caressing her ass causing her to relax, which is what he wanted before bringing his hand down hard and onto her soft flesh. She let out a yelp and jerked forward, but he pulled her back.
“Stay still.”
He smacked her hard again. No matter how much it hurt, she kept still as he told her to. It hurt so much that tears began slipping from her eyes.
It was a while before he finished and both of her cheeks were red. She was practically sobbing when he had finished and even when he turned her over to her back, she was looking at him with tear stained cheeks.
He entered her slowly and began rocking into her nice and deep. She moaned, arching her back off the bed. He kept his eyes trained on her body the entire time, watching with hungry eyes as her breasts moved up and down.
“Yuta,” she panted, gripping the sheets below her. His pace started to pick up and his thrusts were becoming more powerful. They left her feeling dizzy and barely able to speak. His thumb began to rub the little bundle of nerves between her legs.
“Will you disobey me again?” Yuta asked.
“N-no,” she answered almost immediately.
“No what, Y/N?” Yuta groaned.
“N-no, sir,” she cried out. He lifted one of her legs, allowing it to rest on her shoulder. She could feel him even deeper inside of her.
“Good, girl. Don’t ever question me,” he growled, pounding her hard.
“Y-Yes, s-s-sir,” she stammered, attempting to run away. The stimulation was too much for her and she couldn’t take it. More tears poured out of her eyes and she was practically sobbing. He definitely wasn’t having it. He pulled her back hard causing his cock to hit her spot hard.
“Pl-please…I’m sorry…I’m sorry,” she cried out, gripping the sheets even harder. She was sure that she was tearing holes into them.
“Don’t run away, Y/N,” he chuckled, biting into her calf. He continued to not show her any type of mercy even as she came on his dick.
Suddenly he pulled out, almost making her feel relieved as she started to crawl away, but he dragged her back and plunged into her once.
“Fuck! Yuta!” Y/N screamed. He slanted her leg over his hip, driving himself deeper into her again. It seemed like he was fucking her with a vengeance. It seemed like he still wasn’t over her defiance from earlier, even though he had spanked her to his heart’s content.
He smacked her ass again when she tried crawling away, “don’t. Run. From. Me.”
When she looked back at him, he had this predatory look on his face that she had not seen in years. It made her shudder.
She felt him grab her hair to pull her up as he bullied his cock in and out of her. He placed an arm around her neck. She held onto his arm, moaning loudly.
“You’re mine until I say so,” he whispered into her ear, licking the side of her face. She didn’t know why him licking her face turned her on so much but it did and she came from it. He followed soon after and held her there as she milked his cock for all its worth.
When he released her, she collapsed forward onto the bed out of exhaustion. He pulled out of her, his cum leaking out of her.
As she drifted in and out of consciousness, she heard him go towards the bathroom. The sound of water running let her know that he was going to take a shower and he was going to leave her here again while she slept.
However, she felt him scoop her into his arms, which caused her eyes to fully open again. She was confused on why he was even bothering to take her to the bathroom or even run a bath for her.
“Keep staring and you won’t be able to leave the room for another two days,” he told her. She immediately averted her eyes as he barked out a laugh. He placed her into the bath gently, then slipped into the bath right in behind her.
For the duration of the bath, he didn’t try anything and he allowed her to lean back against him. He kept his arms on the edge of the tub, but he didn’t seem to mind it at all. She guessed that he didn’t want to give her the wrong idea at all. Though his actions confused the hell out of her.
After bathing, he helped her out of the bath once again and helped dry her off. His actions were extremely confusing to her. He carried her to the bedroom and sat her down, then handed her the clothes she had been wearing. She slowly put them on as he got dressed himself. She stood up to grab her heels and slipped them on before leaving with him.
“I’ll call you,” he informed her. Y/N knew it was pathetic for her heart to even flutter at the thought of him calling her again for sex, but she didn’t care. It was sad as hell for her to even feel joy from this in the first place.

Anime Movies Worth Watching:
(disclaimer: this is only for ones I've watched and enjoyed--there probably are other good films out there, I just haven't seen everything yet!)
Akira (A cyberpunk classic. The hand painted animation alone makes this a must watch)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Promare (dynamic [and pretty] adult characters fight fires and start fires, all in a scifi + mecha candy-colored world with stunning animation. One of my all time faves by Studio Trigger)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Belle (Hosoda) (SHE IS THE MOMENT. A movie about facing fears, coping with past trauma, and connecting through technology. Also a retelling of Beauty and the Beast, but without the romantic undertones!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suzume (If you watch anything from the Shinkai Cinematic Universe, make it this one. It still has all his classic art style and storytelling methods, but the time and place based storyline and animation is even more stunning)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Howl's Moving Castle (A classic. Most everyone has heard about this Studio Ghibli offering by now, but if you haven't watched yet, please put it on your list NOW. Pretty landscapes. Pretty Howl. Pretty animation. Absolute comfort film)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (If you like vampire stories and amazing feats of animation, please watch this one. MadHouse animated it--the same studio that did Trigun and Death Note--and it's absolutely stunning. The story follows D, a dhampir and vampire hunter, and a starcrossed couple, Charlotte, a human, and Meier, a vampire)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JJK 0 movie (You don't have to have watched Jujutsu Kaisen to see this film! MAPPA absolutely blew everyone away with the animated battle sequences in 0. The story is a prequel, so you can start your journey without prior knowledge. Follow our protag, Yuta, and his cursed spirit, Rika, as they fight against a cult leader who wants to rid the world of curses)

NCT como personagens do Studio Ghibli
Parte 1
{isso é ficção; enredo: Olá! Este é o primeiro enredo do klimgust: ghiblicore, e é um headcanon separado em partes sobre quais personagens do Studio Ghibli que acho que os neos seriam!}
Taeil
Tumblr media

A Smile for Smile
Tumblr media
“Can you pass the bottle for me?” Asked Jisung in a tired voice. Y/n was also tired but he seemed like he would pass out any time soon.
“Yeah, sure but to whom?”
“Pass it to the senior over there,” he said, indicating toward a group. They were sitting in chairs in a circle, talking and laughing loud. But the problem was that they all were seniors.
“Hey, whom to pass? They all are seniors”, Y/n was concerned.
Volunteering in a crowded place is too difficult for a person with social anxiety.
Jisung handed her a bottle and signaled her to walk toward the group. For the extra credits, she went volunteering. And now, she is walking with jelly legs to a social circle full of seniors.
Little did she know that she was already in the eyes of someone. A senior was witnessing all these events in the corner of his eye. Even though he was sad about her going beyond her comfort zone, he still wanted her to come to him.
She was dragging her legs with a bottle in her hand with knitted eyebrows.
That senior couldn’t take it anymore. He stood up and walked towards Y/n.
“I will take it from here. You may go.” He said in a voice that would almost make everyone piss. His cold aura can travel like northern lights for miles.
She didn’t even take a look at him. She just nodded and walked away.
Y/n’s social anxiety with seniors was understandable, but she turned so pale walking towards them that she looked like she would almost pass out any second.
After completing the volunteer work, Y/n was ready to go home. Slowly walking towards the parking, she was happy about her extra credit and extra happy that she completed her volunteering work even on the verge of a mental breakdown. After reaching the parking, she searched her bag for keys, when she opened her bag two papers fell out. It hit her that the attendance sheet that would bring her the extra credits was with her, but she hadn’t handed it in. If she wouldn’t submit it, she won’t be credited, not only her but all the volunteers. But for that, she would have to go to that crowd again.
She started walking on jelly legs towards the hall where everyone had gathered. She could hear the screams and howl of the joy which unlikely to many, made her shiver. She wanted to run away but had no way out.
Suddenly she felt someone behind her, turning around was surprised by the senior to whom she had delivered the water bottle.
He gave her an awkward smile, and for the first time, she looked into his eyes for too long. She looked down when she realized that he was also looking at her.
“I am sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. But I noticed you went inside and came outside abruptly, so I came after you. Do you need anything? Ah, by the way, I am Yuta,” he extended his hand, but she only shook her head, still looking down.
Y/n’s reluctance was cute. It was unusual for Yuta to see any girl who would look this mesmerizing even while freaking out. He immediately withdrew his hand when he noticed her face.
“Then what are you holding?” he looked at the paper.
“It’s the attendance,” she said in her lowest voice. Almost inaudible. But, he understood.
“Do you want to give it to the leader?” he asked in a slightly loud voice to break the resonance with the music. She flinched. Yuta was afraid that she was about to cry. He patted her head, leaned towards her, and said in her ear, “the music is loud, don't be afraid.”
He had eyes on her since he saw her at the canteen, he had noticed her clumsiness around people, but for the first time, he was looking at her cuteness. The corners of his mouth crept up.
“I can pass it to the leader. Give it to me,” as he stretched his hand towards her, she backed away.
“You are a senior, I can’t let you do my work,” her courage was building up.
“I am not doing your work, I am helping you,” he said and snatched the paper from her hands before she could protest, he said, “Don’t run away! Wait here. I’ll be back.”
Y/n stood there obediently for Yuta. After some minutes, he came out with a juice bottle.
“Here,” he stretched his hands, but she was too flustered to accept.
He took her hand, handed her the juice, and went inside again. His warm hands contradict his cold aura. His personality made Y/n change her mind about him. She was more confident while returning. And in fact, she was thinking about him the whole time.
The next day, she was the first to enter the hall, she had cleaning duty. She took a box and began collecting all the wrappers, bottles, plastics, and papers.
While taking the box outside, she was welcomed by a familiar tone.
“Let me help you, this box is bigger than you,” Yuta said and took the box from her. That made her smile. How can anybody pop up just in time?!
“How do you always rescue me just in time?” she asked with doe eyes.
Cute
“Wanna hear a story?”
“Yeah,” she was unsure of where the idea came from.
“I saw you for the first time at the canteen, I was already a fan of your innocence, but after that, we never met, I looked for you, but your introverted personality made you invisible for me to find you. Then, one day while looking at the resumes of newcomers, I came across yours. And that was a silver lining for me. Then, I met you while volunteering. I was unsure what to do, but Jisung had this not-so-brilliant idea of asking you to pass the bottle, but you freaked out, and he got a very good scolding at the dorm for making you work.”
“So Jisung intentionally asked me to pass the bottle,” astonishment was all over her voice. Who would know that a clueless guy like Jisung would help you both to meet?
“Jisung and I are friends, we share dorms, and he knew I have a crush on you. I would always ask him, and he would just narrate what you did in the class.”
“So, I am sorry for yesterday. I just wanted to know you. And protect you. I hope that you will reciprocate the same feelings for me. You can think about it,” Yuta thought that his honesty might again freak you out, so, he quickly turned to leave.
“Yuta! What if I say you that I also feel the same about you? Since yesterday, I have only been thinking about you. How you helped me, and how you patted my head. I don't know if all these may be too fast, but I think I reciprocate your feelings.”
Yuta smiled, a smile that could melt the whole of Antarctica, his smile held the power of healing. He tucked Y/n’s baby hair which was almost poking her eyes. It was a gesture of affection for him. His warmth made Y/n feel protected.
His gesture made Y/n smile, her mismatched dimples were the star of Yuta’s eyes.
