sad beginnings,
Tumblr media
summary - everyone sees you as this weird and crazy ravenclaw. everyone except remus and sirius.
pairing - ravenclaw!reader x wolfstar
word count - ~2.5k
tw: angst | no happy ending (yet) | bullies | blood | fight | self deprecation | she pronouns used
You thought breakfast would be better than a bowl of porridge, but that’s what you get for waking up late.
You’d overslept on your alarm clock by 45 minutes and were now paying the consequences by eating disgusting gruel for breakfast. There wasn’t even any honey to drizzle on top, thanks to some older Ravenclaws hogging it for their pancakes.
Half the tables were empty, as people started to head off for their first lessons of the day.
You had potions in half an hour.
Potions was one of your favourite lessons of the day, not because you liked the subject - in fact you despised it - but because you got to secretly crush on two of the prettiest boys in school.
Remus Lupin and Sirius Black.
They were currently the only group of Gryffindors still at their table, making a rather loud ruckus as they stood up from the table to leave.
James was teasing Lily about something and Sirius and Remus couldn’t stop laughing over it. Lily pretended to be offended and fake punched Sirius for laughing at her, only to have Remus lean down only slightly and kiss Sirius’ clothed arm all better.
It didn’t help that the two boys you would of course have a heavy crush on would already be in a well established relationship.
I mean, they were the prettiest boys in the school and they were opposites to each other so their relationship made perfect sense.
You just wished you had gotten there with one of them first. But who? You admired them both the same.
Both of them had—
“Oi, Y/N!” A Ravenclaw in your year, named Philip, shouted from down the table, making your porridge slide off your spoon and splat against the table.
You looked towards where Philip and his band of quite mean friends sat.
“Daydreaming about boys you could never get, again?!” Philip laughed, causing others around him to as well.
You didn’t reply. You knew better than to reply. Just keep your head down and trouble should go away.
Your eyes drifted from Philip over to where the Gryffindors had nearly exited the Hall, only Sirius and Remus had stopped just shy of leaving.
They were stood talking to each other.
“Who is it this time Y/N? Hm?” Darcy, one of Philip’s friends teased.
“Remember when Y/N tried to date Isaac? As if she could ever date him.” Someone else joked.
You looked back down at your porridge, still listening to them but trying your best to block them out.
Looking at your breakfast made you think about Isaac. He was just as bland and boring. Until he wanted to have sex with you and you really didn’t want that, well then he became an absolute prick. Started spreading horrible rumours about you, showing his true colours.
Isaac started spreading stories about how you tried to come onto him, only to deny him. How you had been weird and crazy the entire night, when in fact it was the opposite.
Now everyone thinks you’re weird, a prude and a bitch.
One of the reasons you have no friends.
Isaac had managed to isolate you and Philip and his cronies had taken advantage of that.
“Think she was looking at Remus and Sirius.” Someone snickered, making you love uncomfortably.
“No way! Y/N has hots for the dogs,” They thought they were funny, “Is that true, Y/N? You want Remus and Sirius to be your little boyfriends?”
They all laughed, until they went silent.
“You alright, Phil? Can I call you Phil?”
Your head shot up to see Sirius leaning down over the bench next to Philip, resting his palms on the table and glaring him down. Remus stood right behind him.
Your heart rate increased at the sight of them magically appearing.
Did they hear? Did they know? Were they in on the sad and pathetic joke?
“It’s just Philip.” Philip gulped.
“Great, Phil.” Sirius smiled, but it definitely wasn’t genuine. “We heard your filthy mouth speak our names and, well, I for one don’t like pricks speaking about me or my boyfriend behind me back. So keep your goddamn mouth shut or I’ll hex you back to Year 1. Okay?”
“Uhhh…”
“I said, okay?” Sirius asked again.
“Yes, yes!” Philip stuttered.
“Good.” Sirius moved back to stand up.
It was lovely that Sirius had come over here to defend his boyfriend like that. You craved someone having the kindness, and definitely the courage, to stand up for you like that.
You watched as Sirius took Remus’ hand and you wondered what that felt like.
You could imagine Sirius’ hands being quite rough and Remus’ hands being calloused, but both still having a sense of softness to them. They’d both be very grounding and warm to hold on to.
Then they both walked your way.
You quickly started to eat your porridge again, keeping your head down. You don’t think either of them would make a scene with you, but maybe they’d caught on to your gazes and blushing and they’d had enough.
You thought you were subtle but maybe you’d been far more obvious than you intended. You cursed yourself, but only knew it was a matter of time before you made a fool of yourself.
Maybe they weren’t even walking towards you. Why would they? They didn’t know you, except for your name maybe.
But then you saw them stop in front of the bench on the other side of you.
You looked up to find them both smiling warmly down at you. You gulped, thinking the worst.
“You have potions next right, Y/N?” Remus asked kindly.
He did know your name…
And he knew your timetable…
“Yes?” You asked, cautiously.
“You want to walk over with us? We’re heading there now.” Remus asked.
You were a little gobsmacked that they were asking you to do something with them.
No one has asked you to do anything in a very long time, even something as simple as being asked to walk to class with them. So this was a huge deal to you.
“Really? I mean, sorry, I wouldn’t want to intrude.”
“Intrude?” Sirius laughed, “Never. C’mon.” He kindly smiled and you nervously got up from the table.
You picked up your robe and wand.
“Are you sure?” You asked to make sure a second time.
“Y/N, if you don’t hurry up then Sirius is probably going to pick you up and carry you there himself and then I’m going to have to deal with him moaning about crippling back ache later on… Oh my God… That want be implying anything about your weight… Um… Should I just stop?” Remus rambled and looked to Sirius for help.
“You really should.”
And you smiled.
Genuinely smiled, for what felt like the first time in a long time.
•-•-•-•-•-•
The hallways were starting to become busy.
People moving from morning time to lesson time, especially the first years with their overpacked bags and reckless running through the corridors to get to their lessons on time.
One darted past you, causing you to wobble. Luckily Remus was behind you and he put his hand on the lower part of your back to balance you carefully.
“Thank you.” You said, whilst trying really hard not to blush.
You failed to notice Remus blushing too as you turned back around. You definitely didn’t fail to notice the way Remus kept his hand on your lower back, helping you weave through the halls.
With two of the most popular guys in school, you didn’t realise how easy it was to actually manoeuvre through the corridors.
You’d spent too much time being infatuated with the time that Remus and Sirius were giving you, though, that you’d forgotten your potions book.
You stopped short, feeling the boys bump into the back of you abruptly.
“Bloody… Are you alright Y/N?” Sirius asked.
“I’ve forgotten my potions book. I’ll catch up with you, I just need to run to get it.” You turned to say to them, feeling slightly small underneath both their pretty eyes looking at you.
“Here, just take mine.” Sirius offered.
“No.” Remus swatted his hands, “Another “forgotten” book and you are going to get detention.”
“Oh screw that.” Sirius rolled his eyes.
“Y/N, take mine instead.” Remus insisted.
“What?” This time Sirius hit Remus’ hands away, “And mess with your perfect record? I don’t think so. Y/N…”
“Hey, listen.” You chuckled at the sight of them arguing… over you. It felt like the most surreal situation. “I’m just going to get my book, okay? Then none of us will be in trouble. I’ll see you in a few minutes.”
You smiled at them in thanks, before darting around and away from them.
After you’r turned the corner, Remus hit Sirius over the head with his textbook.
“Ow! What the…” Sirius rubbed the back of his head.
“Really? You were about to give yourself a detention?” Remus chuckled, knowing exactly that was what Sirius was about to do and why.
“For Y/N? Absolutely.” Sirius smirked.
Remus shook his head and kissed Sirius’ cheek in admiration, before taking his hand and leading him off to potions.
•-•-•-•-•-•
As you rooted through your belongings in your dorm, you hummed to yourself with content.
You felt ten times lighter than you ever had felt before and all because the two pretty boys you’ve been admiring for so long had looked right back at you. They’d even gone as far as walk with you to potions.
Sirius was willing to get a detention for you and Remus was willing to break his golden reputation. That was flattery of their highest form.
You finally found your book, before pivoting to leave your dorm.
Only to find Darcy standing there with a cat in her arms, looking malicious as ever.
“O-oh Darcy. Hello.” You said, losing your hum and your smile with one look at her.
“Cut the pleasantries. You made us look like fools at breakfast in front of Sirius and Remus, you foul witch.” Darcy spat at you.
“I’m sorry, I never meant for that to happen.”
You felt yourself caving in on yourself, becoming that shelter of a shy person that these horrible people made you.
“And you think an apology will make it all better?”
“I don’t know.” You lowered your head.
“Well it doesn’t.” She moved towards you and you gulped in fear of her. She’d pulled at your hair and enchanted curses on you before, so you were terrified of what she might do now. Especially when it was just you two here.
“I’m sorry.” You looked up at her, hating that she could probably see the fear in your eyes.
“Show us up like that again and you’ll leave with more than just a scratch.”
“A scratch?” You asked, but maybe you shouldn’t have.
Before you knew what was happening Darcy’s cat attacked your face, clawing at your cheek with one powerful hit. The cat screamed what sounded like a war cry and you screamed in pain.
Your head turned to the side, leaving the cat’s claws to drag slightly down your cheek before letting go. You didn’t reveal your face again until you heard the door slam shut.
It only took a minute for you to delicately touch your cheek and see the blood for the pain to come flying in. You cried as you sat on your bed, cupping your cheek from dripping blood everywhere with one hand and the other hand resting on your forehead as you came to terms with what just happened.
You’d just been attacked for trying to apologise for something you hadn’t been in control of.
Your tears ran down your cheek and stung as they ran into the cuts on your cheek.
Walking to the little mirror hanging up on the wall, you looked in to see yourself. There were three lines scraped down your once bare cheek, running from just under your eye to resting on your jawline.
You cried some more, completely getting lost in the self loathing, before rushing around the dorm to find some healing lotion and tissues.
It took you ten minutes to clean up the mess on your face, and another five for the bleeding to calm down. It was an angry red mess, but you had to get to potions before the class ended.
You breathed out through your mouth a shaky breath, dabbing under your eyes with the sleeve of your jumper to wipe away the tears.
“You’re okay.” You said to yourself in the mirror. “You’re okay.”
You found that talking moved the cuts on your face and they stung even worse. So no talking it was. Brilliant.
“You’re okay.” You reminded yourself one last time.
But your words felt far from convincing.

Tradition (1/12 9)
This is a bit of a departure from my usual microfics, but I wanted to do something Christmassy since it's that time of year. 12 fics feels a bit ambitious, so that number may change, but I'm hoping for the best for now. In the meantime, enjoy some baby wolfstar :)
Next Part
December 1971
It had started as an idea. Barely even an idea, really. A thought, maybe, sparking in a conversation about the upcoming Christmas break.
Remus had been complaining about their transfiguration homework, lamenting that it wasn't already Christmas, when Sirius scoffed.
"What? You don't like Christmas?" Remus asked.
"You do?" Sirius responded incredulously. "It's all boring dinners with old people you barely know, fancy food in tiny portions you don't even get to enjoy, and scratchy formal clothes. And, yeah, occasionally a good present, but usually my parents take anything good away the second I misbehave, so it's not really worth it."
A breath of silence went around the dorm.
"That's...not how Christmas usually goes," Remus said slowly. "At least, not for me."
James and Peter shook their heads too.
"I mean, yeah, we have a family dinner," Peter added. "But normally I sit with my cousins, and we get to leave early to play in the snow while the adults keep talking."
"And my mom normally makes an amazing meal," James said. "Turkey, roast potatoes, gravy, plus dessert. We usually have too much leftover to eat by ourselves, so we donate it to the local church for the homeless shelter."
"Yeah, I've never had to wear anything formal, or anything like that," Remus continued. "We just wear whatever's comfortable. It's just family, anyway. Do you at least have some fun traditions? Like sledding or something?"
Sirius frowned.
"My mother would never let me and Reg do anything like that," he answered. "In her mind, Christmas is about strengthening our bonds with the rest of the Sacred 28. So no fun allowed."
He went back to his essay with a frown after that, even as the others continued to discuss what they were looking forward to in the coming holidays. Remus kept thinking about it though, mentally listing out all his family's traditions and wondering how many Sirius had never experienced.
It was a thought, at first.
It became something more.
*
The night before term ended, Sirius found a note on his bed, asking him to meet Remus in the kitchens. Curious, he left the dorms immediately to find his friend. When he got there, he found Remus, surrounded by baking ingredients and concerned house elves, grinning widely.
"What's going on, Rem?"
"I don't think it's fair that everyone gets to have a fun Christmas, while you're stuck with your boring family obligations," Remus said, gesturing with a wooden spoon as he spoke. "So, we're starting our own Christmas traditions right now. You and I are going to make a gingerbread house from scratch."
Sirius burst out laughing. "I don't even know what that is! How are we supposed to do that?"
Remus picked up a piece of paper from the table and shook it in Sirius's face.
"My mother has sent me her recipe, with careful instructions on how to bake, decorate and construct the house. How hard can it be?"
What followed was several hours of baking and decorating, supervised by anxious house elves from whom the two boys refused to accept any help or advice, leading to several mistakes along the way. First, they didn't roll out the dough evenly, ending up with only half of the roof and one very thick wall. They struggled to separate the eggs and had to restart the icing entirely. Sirius had been snacking on sweets throughout the process, which significantly lessened their decorations. Finally, they misread Hope's instructions, and built the whole house before decorating, meaning their decorations came out slightly wonky despite their best efforts.
Regardless, once they had completed the house, they proudly carried it all the way to Gryffindor tower and showed it off to everyone in the common room, demanding pictures be taken of their 'work of art' before anyone could eat it.
Sirius pinned the picture of the pair of them with their house to the back of his journal, hoping his mother would never discover it. He had icing in his hair, and both of them were covered in flour and sugar - a mess his parents would never approve of - but they were laughing and grinning proudly at their work.
For the first time, Sirius began to see the appeal of the holiday season.

Oct 15- Wolfstar- Pumpkin Patch Stargazing
1,156 words
Sirius was bored and he wanted to go somewhere and do something. But what? James was off with Regulus doing something that Sirius didn’t want to think about. Remus was in the library, working on something for work. But he had been in there for a while and really should be taking a break. Now the question was, ‘How to get the workaholic to take a break?’ Sirius was sitting on the couch and tapping his chin in contemplation when he had a notification pop on his phone. That’s perfect.
Sirius went to the kitchen and made them both a cup of hot chocolate before padding his way to the library to coax his husband away from his work. Remus had been holed up in the library for the last five hours and it wasn’t that Sirius was needy or anything but he missed him and wanted to spend some time with him before he had to go on that stupid business trip. Sirius pushed open the door to the library slowly and looked around. Remus was sitting at the desk in the corner, hunched over a stack of papers and books with a pen in his mouth that was probably thoroughly chewed on.
“Moony?” Sirius asked cautiously as he made his way over to the desk. Remus hadn’t noticed him yet.
Sirius stood there for a couple more minutes just watching his husband work. How does this man make everything he does look hot? He set the mug done on the desk but away from the papers and tried again.
“Moony,” Sirius said a little more firmly and Remus looked up.
“Oh, hey. How long have you been standing there?” Remus asked quietly.
“A couple of minutes.” Sirius shrugged. “I brought you some hot chocolate.”
“Thanks,” Remus said as he took a long sip from the mug and stared at Sirius suspiciously. “There’s something you’re not saying, what is it?”
“You’ve been working too long and need to take a break,” Sirius replied after a couple of minutes.
“And what did you have in mind? I can see the gears spinning so don’t tell me you don’t already have an idea.”
“I want to go to the pumpkin patch.”
Remus took another long sip of his hot chocolate as he thought about it. Sirius was waiting, not so patiently.
“Okay. Give me ten minutes to clean this up and then we can go,” Remus agreed after a few minutes.
~~
Sirius and Remus made it to the pumpkin patch around six in the evening and the sun was starting to descend below the horizon. It was the perfect time. Still enough light to walk around the patch and look at all of the pumpkins, maybe they will pick one up on the way home to carve, and not too long of a wait before the stars become visible. Sirius packed a blanket and some snacks so that they could have a little picnic while they stargaze.
They were walking hand-in-hand and enjoying the feeling of having each other close. Sirius is going to savor every bit of Remus that he can get now because next week Remus will be leaving for a week and he will have to resort to bugging his brother. He could already hear Regulus getting annoyed with him. There were other couples walking around the pumpkin patch and families with small children picking out their pumpkins to take home and carve. It was such a surreal scene that Sirius’ younger self never thought he would get to have.
Now that the sun was gone and the sky was glittering with the stars above, Sirius and Remus picked a spot a little farther away from the other couples and laid the blanket down on the grass. He had found a patch with a clear view of the sky. Unfortunately, his name sake won’t be visible until December and Regulus won’t be visible until January. But that wasn’t going to stop him from stargazing with Remus and telling him about all the stars that were available to them. Sirius could talk about the stars forever or at least until Remus told him to stop.
Once they were lying down, Sirius put his head on Remus’ chest and started pointing out the different stars and constellations.
“There is Andromeda attached to Pegasus,” Sirius said as he pointed to a line of stars that looked like a tail. “And if you look straight down from the middle star, you can see Jupiter tonight.”
When Sirius looked up at Remus, he was smiling softly and nodding his head as he listened to Sirius. It made him feel all warm inside and he hoped that that feeling never went away. Sirius didn’t know what he would do if he ever lost Remus.
“You know, you can tell me to shut up whenever I’m talking too much,” Sirius told him softly.
“I like listening to you especially when you are passionate about something like the stars.” Remus leaned down and gave Sirius a kiss on the top of his hair.
“Okay.” Sirius turned back towards the sky and pointed out more stars. “If you look right above Jupiter, that’s Aries, which is James’ constellation and the big V-shaped constellation to the right is Pisces, which is yours.” Sirius beamed as he thought about what he wanted to do for Remus’ birthday in March.
“If we keep looking to the right, right there next to Pisces is Aquarius, which is Lily’s, and the bright spot next to the little line of stars on the right, is Saturn.” Sirius continued.
Remus lay there quietly and listened to Sirius talk about the stars for the next half hour while munching on the snacks that Sirius brought. If they were going to stay outside for the rest of the night then they would also see Venus, Mars, Uranus, and Neptune but it was starting to get chilly and they needed to get back home, to get some sleep.
Sirius was surprised he was even able to pull Remus from his work so close to his trip, which was in two days, but he would never take their time for granted. Sirius sat up, reluctantly, and started to pack the bag again while Remus folded the blanket and put it in there as well. They walked hand-in-hand out of the pumpkin patch and Sirius completely forgot about wanting to pick up a pumpkin on their way out. He was too focused on Remus and his love for him.
“I love you, Remus. Thank you for doing this with me,” Sirius said lovingly when they got into the car.
“I love you too, Sirius.”
They drove home and got ready for bed together before falling asleep in each other’s arms. Sirius was in heaven and still didn’t know how he managed to land Remus but he was grateful and would never take him for granted.

Touché - Wolfstar
happy biiirthdaay to youuu my babyboy sirius <3 you are simply in love with moony
Pairing: Wolfstar (Sirius x Remus)
Warnings: itty bitty bit of angst, sirius realizing he's in love with... I don't even need to say it.
Word count: 1k
✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆✰⋆
Contrary to popular belief, Sirius can stay still. It is only logical that the tumult of his spirit manifests in the uproar his presence brings to every room. Quietness, au contraire, he does not do often. Not at his own volition at least. But he's capable and even inclined to do it under the right circumstances.
The reward has to be great to get him to make the whirlwind of his being pause and revel in the silence.
He's been caughting himself slipping into it more than usual.
No one points it out, it's him that realizes the perturbation or rather un-perturbation he's experiencing.
There's a common denominator to this state, Sirius recognizes, and that is not a what but a who.
Remus is who.
At first Sirius theorizes that the boy’s calmness might be contagious, thus making him fall into it by mere mirroring. The hypothesis proves itself wrong when sitting next to equally quiet people such as Peter or Dorcas provokes him to be twice as loud in overcompensation.
Okay, so it's not that.
He then tries being silent on his own, just to see if it's possible. The answer comes quickly enough: It is not.
Unless petrified or muzzled, Sirius cannot stand a minute of muted solitude.
The ringing of silence fills his ears and, although it is deafening, it is not the noise that drives him crazy. No, that noise does not come from outside, quite the opposite actually. It is his internal flow of thought that does not let him rest, an infinite narration of insubstantial material.
He used to dread talking to his mother so much. She had a habit of making you feel small with her incessant chastises and snide comments. She could spend hours recounting the biggest decorum trifles that one couldn't care less about, repeating protocol rules over and over again. A list that never seemed to come to an end. The kind of things you listen to because you have no other choice, no matter how affected by the insults or bored of the rules you are.
It turns out that his mother has sneaked into his brain, for is her voice Sirius hears. The difference is that she no longer attacks with only the shames she has of him— that he is used to enduring— but the Walpurga in his head unveils a sharper knife; the anxieties that only he knows about.
Simply put, his head is not a nice place.
Quietude means amplifying the noise that is his mind, hearing it unfiltered by the cacophony of the outside makes his skin crawl.
If the former statement is true then why has he ended up like he is now? Resting perched in a library chair, perfectly placid, at least twice a week for the past months.
Again, Remus being there is the only thing these situations have in common.
It puzzles him. Sirius doesn't like not knowing. The saying is curiosity killed the cat but dogs are just as nosy, with the additional fact of having no sense of self preservation.
His mind zones out in Remus' presence, it turns quiet, not even the static of silence bothers him.
Sirius's eyes wander aimlessly through the boy in front of him with an empty head. He's reading, as usual, but it's not an assigned reading, Sirius can tell because his whole posture is different.
When he reads something for pleasure, as he is now, Remus' hand holds his impossibly heavy chin, resting his arm over the table in the most uncomfortable way possible, limbs and elbows jumbled in such awkward angles that it's surprising how many hours he can spend without moving.
Unconsciously his eyes trace every detail of his face, not to remember them— that is a long time carved in his thalamus for dreaming material— but as a kind of automatic comforting exercise. Counting the amount of scars, their paths, the valleys of features that they set across, everything.
Remus is quiet but he's not boring, his calmness is more of an aura than an actual fact, Sirius knows firsthand just how not calm the boy can get when mad.
Sirius decides to let it slide for now, put a pin on it and move on. He'll just keep enjoying the surprising respite from his mind.
“Creep.”
The mumble words snap him out of his lethargy, “Hmm?”
“I said creep,” a slight smirk forms on the corner of Remus’ lips, gaze not even glancing up from his book, “You're gonna burn a hole through my skull if you keep staring.”
Sirius doesn't have the sense to feel shame, he simply shrugs, “How do you know if you haven't even looked up for an hour?”
The smirk grows almost imperceptibly while long fingers turn a page, “How do you know I haven't looked up in an hour if you weren't staring?”
He huffs amused, “Touché.”
They don't say anything else and Remus goes back to his reading.
Sirius doesn't take his eyes off.
The only sounds are their breathing and the eventual turning of a page.
His mind continues to be quiet.
And then it hits him like a stunning spell.
For Sirius, his own silence is as loud as the ruckus of crashing head-on into a wall.
Oh, no.
Remus. Remus is why. Not something involving Remus. Just Remus.
Remus makes his head quiet.
He makes his heart loud.
The sound of a thick book closing pulls him out of his panicked realization, stopping him abruptly like a fencing foil making contact to the center of his chest.
Remus looks up, sharp hazel eyes colliding directly with his. “Are you ready to talk now, Sirius?”
Sirius gulps.

this is a bit silly but I just wanted to write sm for his bday.

Their Perfect Y/N
Wolfstar x Fem!reader
Warning : Smut, pretty chill though. Daddy kink. That kinda stuff.
 Word count : 2532
---
Your first order meeting. You were so young, you just got out of Hogwarts considered an adult in the muggle world. Only 18, and you had a war to fight, friends to defend, lives to protect. It’s funny how determined you were to obliterate every death eater, but your heart was caught in your throat at the prospect of entering headquarters. You tried to ignore it, this was the first step to saving the people you cared about. You watched the houses split apart and sucked in a big breath before knocking.
Walking through the doorway was easy enough, being immediately overwhelmed by a high pitched, brutal shriek.
“MUD BLOOD, BLOOD TRAITORS, BESMIRCHING THE HOUSE OF MY FATHERS. DISGUSTING, FILTHY-”
“SHUT UP YOU FUCKING HAG!”
You were frozen in a state of terror, already you were messing up and you haven’t even said anything yet.
“Y/N, right?”
Your wide eyes moved towards the figure with sleek ebony curls. The intense grey eyes were intimidating, but once you looked closer you saw the twinkle of humor in them. You shook his tattooed clad hands and tried not to let your knees buckle under his firm grasp.
“Yes, and I’d ask you yours, but the daily prophet has done a great job of introducing me already.”
His smile was genuine, but you could read into that touch of sadness. But he was quick to shake it off.
“Don’t mind my mother, I promise she’s just as unpleasant as you get to know her.”
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t know that-”
“Oh don’t worry about it love. No one told you. It’s amazing that you could come, Remus says you were one of his best students. Really exceptional at defense against the dark arts.”
Heat flushed to your face at the praise and the mention of your favorite professor.
“Professor Lupin is here too?”
Your question was quickly answered when those familiar arms you would stare at entranced in class were draped over Sirius’s shoulders.
“Nice to see you Y/N, but you’re not my student anymore so please, just call me Remus.”
“Feels illegal but sounds good Remus.”
You all found your way to the dining room table and tried your best not to be intimidated by the row of wizards you admired and respected so much. Before you got the chance to breathe though Molly had you trapped in a tight bear hug.
“Oh Y/N, so good to see you dear. Of course I’m not happy about the circumstance, but all the same, glad to know you’re here and safe.”
There was no oxygen left in your lungs to respond, so you just smiled and accepted her warm embrace.
“Molly, if you want her safe and healthy you might want to give her the chance to breathe.”
Grateful for Remus’s interjection you gave Molly a quick peck on the cheek, while she released you bashfully.
“Thank you Molly.”
The meeting itself was fine, it was the dinner afterwards that had you terrified, because right across from you was Sirius and Remus. Two of the most attractive men you’ve ever seen and their unrelenting questions and invested eye contact had the embarrassment coming up all at the same time. That didn’t deter them though. If anything it sprung even more questions and conversation starters. You didn’t even notice everyone else had left, leaving just you three at the table. You were cupping some tea between both hands, while Remus was leaning against Sirius’s shoulder. Sirius was replicating the affection by wrapping an arm around his shoulder.
It was peaceful, never had you felt so comfortable in the presence of other people before. So safe.
“Y/N, I’m glad you came, like I said Remus speaks very highly of you and we need all the help we can get. So if you want to invite your boyfriend or something to join, you should.”
“Oh, I don’t have a boyfriend actually, but speaking of which I had no idea you guys were together. You’re a really beautiful couple.”
Remus only smiled a little, but Sirius’s grin was proud.
“Thanks Y/N, you’re really quite beautiful too. We’re actually not gay though though, we’re both bisexual. We’ve even been known to have thirds in relationships. Nothing permanent though, haven’t found that right person.”
“Does that mean that you’re still open to-?
“Oh absolutely, there’s this girl we actually have our eyes set on right now.”
Your face fell.
“Oh, well if you two like her then she must be lovely.”
Remus and Sirius shared a look, clearly amused by your cluelessness and we all know what teases they can be. Remus spoke up this time.
“OH yeah, she’s a darling. She just joined the order.”
“She has Y/H/C and Y/E/C. Exactly our type wouldn’t you say Remus?”
“An absolute beauty, exactly our type that’s for sure.”
“Yeah, she looks particularly cute when she holds a cup of tea, with an adorable confused expression.”
“I don’t understand, well I think I do but-”
Remus was sitting up straight now, zoning in on your troubled expression.
“Y/N, we want you. If you’re uncomfortable we can drop it and give you space from here on out and we’re so sorry for making you-”
“Wait. You guys like me? Like that?”
Sirius snorted at your surprise.
“How could we not? You’re completely captivating. Do you feel the same love?”
“I do, it’s just that I’m not experienced, like, at all. And you guys are so it’s intimidating.”
“We would never want to do anything to make you uncomfortable or unsafe. How about we talk more about this more tomorrow.”
Remus’s words were sincere, and well thought out. Yours were less eloquent, much more desperate sounding than you would have liked.
“No please, I need you now.”
Sirius was a man who smiled a lot. Always quick to let out a genuine, hearty laugh. But this was different. It was a taunting smile, a dangerous smile. And you were completely captivated.
“Yeah? What’s got you so needy love? No one’s done anything yet.”
The table between you felt like it was keeping you miles apart. So you pouted, but Remus tutted.
“Answer his question Pup, good girls speak up when told to.”
“I-I don’t know, I can’t help it. I’ve never felt like this before and I just need you.”
---
Clothes were discarded slower than you deemed necessary. Their clothes at least, not yours. You were only left in your underwear. They really just wanted to take their time with you, not worried about them, but you. You just looked so pretty sprawled out on their bed, it was impossible not to stop and admire your trembling figure. Remus slid behind you, allowing you to rest against his now bare chest. While Sirius knelt in between your legs, hovering over you, thumb running over your bottom lip.
“So pretty baby. Can I take these off now?”
He was referring to your panties and you were all too eager to be rid of them. Except Sirius was still fully clothed, which wasn’t exactly ideal.
“Sure, but could you take this off?” You tugged at the bottom of his shirt suggestively, but Remus was tugging your arms back.
“That’s not how we ask for what we want love, try again.”
You bore into Sirius’s grey eyes. The twinkle of humour was gone, there was love and respect there, but mostly they were filled with hunger. His blatant lust had you nervous, not ever experiencing such intensity before. It had you subconsciously closing your legs. So Sirius was pouting.
“Darling you don’t have to be shy, we like hearing what you have to say.”
You sighed and spread your legs again while Remus robbed your arms soothingly.
“S-siri, can you take off your shirt please. I wanna see you.”
“Good girl for asking so nice.”
He departed from the bed to remove all but his boxers, and it just reaffirmed that you’d be spending hours tracing his tattoos later. Emphasise on the later, cause at the moment you’d rather spend time with him doing something else. He seemed to be feeling much the same, but had to pause to chuckle at your dazed reaction.
“See something you like?”
“Yeah.”
“Me too.”
Remus pressed a kiss to the back of your head.
“Alright love, you ready? Do you want this?”
“Yes, please. Do you want this?”
“Of course love.”
Once Sirius was nestled between your thighs again he gave one reassuring peck before making his journey downward. He started sucking right below your ear, and you were already whimpering. He could get drunk on that noise. All the sounds you released so willingly as he nipped your collar bone, kissed your hip, and sank his teeth into your inner thigh. Right next to where you needed him most. He didn’t give you much time to complain though, cause soon enough that last barrier of clothing was being discarded and your fingers found their way through his black tresses. The vibrations of his moan against your clit had you bucking into his face. He kept his palms planted firmly on your thighs.
“That feel good Puppy? No one’s ever made you feel like this huh? Gotta stay still though, can’t make you feel good of you can’t stay still.”
“F-feels so good.”
“I know baby, Moony how bout you help her practice for another time.”
Remus seemed to understand what he meant and you were confused until-
“Open up pretty girl.”
Until Remus’s fingers were brushing past your lips. You started sucking on them as if it was second nature.
Sirius went back to suckling against your clit, but this time one of his fingers was teasing your entrance. Which once had you whining against Remus’s fingers, so he pulled them out to let you speak.
“What is it baby.”
“P-Please Siri.”
“By that way, how does she taste?”
He answered by inserting his pointer finger briefly before bringing it to Remus’s lips. Remus released it with a dramatic pop.
“Now I think I’m jealous, Hurry up Pads so I can get a turn.”
You never thought you had this type of response in you, but Sirius’s fingers thrusting in and out of you was sending shocks through your body. Every touch burned in the best way possible and it was only a short matter of time until the coil snapped.
“Are you gonna be a good girl and cum for us Y/N?”
“Y-yeah. Please, feels so good.”
“Bet it does, let go for us darling, I know you can.”
He placed delicate kisses across your shoulders as you released all over Sirius’s face and fingers. Despite not being the one who came Sirius parted ruefully with a heaving chest. Remus beckoned him closer and as soon as he was within reach Remus was cleaning off his glistening face with his tongue. A sight you found all too arousing.
“Did so good Y/N, you too Pads. My turn now.”
“Please I need to be inside of her so bad.”
Remus pondered for a moment.
“Could you be gentle with her as she needed. You’d have to be.”
“She was clenching around my fingers… don’t know how I’d respond with her wrapped around my cock. You’re right Moony.”
And there you were, wishing they’d skip the whole talking like you weren’t even there, and just fuck you already. Luckily your desire looked as if it was going to be satiated shortly as Remus and Sirius switched places. When Remus removed his clothes you stared at his member with complete and utter desire. He mistook it for nervousness though.
“It’s alright love, if you want to stop we can. We can go at your pace and I promise if you’re in any pain at all that we can-”
Your voice sounded pained, raspy and desperate as if you were being deprived of oxygen.
“Remmy, I need you. Please I need it so bad.”
He sighed in relief and stroked his length as he settled over top of you.
“I got you. Such a good girl using her manners. Tell me if it hurts at all okay.”
Chest against chest was not close enough, even that could not satisfy the desire, the need, to be close to Remus. It seemed he was replicating your feelings as he drank up every moan that flew past your lips. If Sirius wasn’t rubbing your arms and soothing your hairline you never would have been grounded enough to tell that this was reality.
“Fuck, you weren’t kidding Pads. She’s so tight I can barely move. You feel so good love.”
Your high pitched moans were gradually becoming more staccato as Remus thrust into you.
“I-it’s not my fault you’re so big.”
“S’ not a bad thing at all Pup. You like my cock, you like being stretched out like this?”
“Yes yes yes. So much, please please Da-”
Embarrassment creeped up from the back of your mind, all the way to your cheeks, but Sirius noticed.
“What were you gonna call him baby. C’mon now, don’t be shy.”
Remus halted his movements to stare at your face intently.
“I- I don’t wanna, M’embarrassed”
Remus gave one more thrust to emphasise his point.
“Say it.”
You knew by the stern look on his face it was better to obey, or else you wouldn’t get what you wanted.
“Daddy, please let me cum. You feel so good. You’re so big daddy I-fuck”
You were cut off by your own moaning as Remus proceeded to thrust at a rapid pace.
“Cum then.”
It was like you were being blindsided. If you were standing you would have been knocked off your feet. Sirius held your hand the whole way, and your grip only tightened as Remus chased his own high.
“Where do you want me to cum baby?”
“Please cum inside me Daddy.”
“Yeah, you want Daddy to breed you? So pretty and innocent, didn’t know you were so dirty baby. I’m gonna stuff you full sweet girl- FUCK.”
He bit into your shoulder as he painted your insides with his release, and you found yourself whimpering as he pulled out. Remus was always a good caretaker though.
“It’s alright sweetheart. You did so good. Let’s get you cleaned up.”
“No wait-”
“What is it pup?”
“Siri needs to feel good too.”
“If you’re sure then go ahead love.” Remus scootched out of the way so Sirius could situate you where he wanted. And that was face pressed into the mattress apparently. He sheathed himself fully inside of you, pressed his chest against your back so he could reach your ear and whisper.
“My turn, we’ll see who you’re calling Daddy at the end of this.”
---
Bonus
The prospect of war was terrifying. You were so focused on protecting everyone around you. So it was a great comfort knowing, as you slept in between Sirius and Remus, that you had two people who would go to all ends to keep you safe.
Because besides each other they now had something even more undeniably precious.
You.
Their perfect Y/N.

“What if he doesn’t like me like that?”, Sirius whined, worrying his bottom lip with his teeth.
You gave him a look, voice flat. “Sirius, he sucked you off.”
Sirius ignored you and kept rambling.
“What if it was just a thing between mates? Like a peace offering, because he fucked you and felt bad so he sucked me off?”
You groaned and fell back on your matress, bored of Sirius’ constant worrying.
Sirius was convinced that Remus didn’t actually want to fuck him and just did it so he could fuck you again. And you were sick of it. Everybody could see that Remus was mental about Sirius. You needed to put an end to this madness and hook your boyfriend up with his best mate. The thought made you laugh slightly and you turned on your belly, looking at Sirius with a calm expression.
“Do you trust me love?”
“‘Course I trust you!”
“Then I want you to calm down and not worry your pretty head, okay? I got it from here.”
Sirius leaned forward to pull you on his chest, grey eyes looking into yours questioningly, “You really don’t mind me being with Moony? I won’t do it if it makes you uncomfortable.” His tone was earnest, saying everything with complete honesty.
“Sirius, darling, I want you to do whatever makes you happy, okay? I love you. Besides I fucked him first, so you’re getting sloppy seconds.”
“Fuck you!”, his giggled between the soft pecks you kept pressing on his lips, “I love you too..”
---
“Remmy, wait up!”, you jogged in his direction, grabbing his shoulder from behind.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“Uh, we need to talk. It’s about Sirius..”
He shot you an alarmed look. “What happend? Is he hurt? Did some-”
“Calm down, he’s fine! Can we talk in your room?”
“Okay, yeah, let’s go..”
Shutting the door behind you, both of you sat down and you looked at Remus, amusement glinting in your eyes.
“Sooo...You fancy my boyfriend, right?”
Remus chocked on his spit, cheeks blushing as he looked at his hands.
“Why did you have to say boyfriend, now I sound like a complete prat..”
You giggled taking his hand in yours, resting them on your lap. You gave a qentle squeeze, willing him to look at you. His gaze was open and vulnerable, begging you not to judge him. Your eyes softend as you understood just how much he liked Sirius, but was scared about ruining your friendship.
“Remus, I’m gonna tell you what I told Sirius this morning. I see how much you like each other and I want you to be happy. I’m not mad and I’m not jealous.”
“Look, I’m really sorry, I never wanted to get between you, but he’s just so..so..”
“Beautiful, brilliant, kind, hot...”, your said, tone light.
“Yeah, he’s just so Sirius..you know? I don’t know how it happend. Merlin I’m sitting here gushing about your boyfriend..”, he let out, voice tight. “I’m sorry.”
“I swear on my dead hamsters grave..”, he let out a shocked laugh, making you giggle as you kept promising, “..that I want this for the both of you as well.”
He was grinning now, the confident Remus that you knew finally making his way back to the surface.
“You promise?”
“Yes! I promise.”
He let out a breath, shoulders slumping with relief. “Thank you darling, you don’t know how much this means to me. Is there anything, and I mean anything, that I can do for you?”
“Please just fuck him good, he’s been talking about your cock for days now. Do you know how pissed he was that he fell asleep before he could touch you?”
“Oh is he now? Don’t worry, I’ll fuck him good.”
You smiled devilishly, “You promise?”
“Fuck, yes I promise”, Remus chuckled.
---
Remus acted as if nothing happend and wouldn’t react to Sirius’ nervous glances. Secretly he was enjoying his squirming, pleased that he had such an effect on his crush. Sirius was trying to get Remus’ attention, by being extra loud and annoying. He was mocking his brother Regulus more than usually, levitating food with James’ help to annoy Lily, kissing you with garlic breath to make you laugh or flirted with Professor McGonagall. You had warned Remus about this, said that Sirius would do absolutely anything to get a rise out of him, so he would be able to find out if Remus fancied him or not. You kept your mouth shut firmly, telling Sirius that it’s a matter between mates, you had to hold back your laughter so hard, and that you wouldn’t mingle in their business.
So here he was, making a fool of himself to get his Moonys reaction. Anything for his Moony, right?
Remus knew that Sirius was shameless and an absolute brat at times, which is why he chose to sit still and enjoy his food, not once looking into Sirius’ pretty, desperate eyes.
“James”, you started, glancing furtively at Sirius, “me and the girls want to organize a surprise party for Professor McGonagall and we need your help as headboy. It’ll take a few hours, but you’ll help right?” Lily was looking up as well now and James immediately sat upright in his seat, clearing his throat. “For Minnie? ‘Course I’ll help!” Everybody knew that he wanted to because it was headboy duties, which meant headgirl duties as well, which meant Lily and that meant alone-time with Lily. You gave a satisfied smile as Remus looked at you from under his lashes, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Remus, I want you and Sirius to buy the things I gave you a list about, okay? Take your time, I know it’s a lot.”
“Sure thing, we got it. Right Padfoot?”
Sirius perked up as well, nodding his head so fast, you feared he’ll get a concussion. Finally, Remus had paid him attention.
“Yes! Yes, Moony and I will buy only the best for our Minnie!”
You grinned and gave him a kiss, as Remus looked down again, smirking in amusement.
“Great!”
---
“Moony, come on, you never take this long. We need to get going, the list isn’t getting any shorter.”, Sirius moaned.
The hall was empty now, only the two boys left, because Remus was taking his sweet time eating everything on the table.
“Sirius”, Remus drawled, looking at the boy from under his lashes, “we don’t have to buy anything..”
Sirius tilted his head to the side, confused. “What? But you said it yourself!”
“Your girlfriend said that you wanted me to fuck you?” Remus was leaning back in his chair now, legs spread dominantly taking up space, sweater rolled up his forearms, exposing muscular and scarred skin. His gaze was intense, pinning Sirius, a slight, mocking smile on his lips.
Sirius gaped at him, rendered speechless for the first time in his life.
“If I had know that you are so desperate to have me, I would have touched you ages ago. Fucked you senseless, while you had to keep your pretty mouth shut, so no one would hear. Made you cum, over and over again. Made you suck me off like a good puppy.”
Remus kept eye-contact, relishing in the way he made Sirius blush. Sirius, actually blushed!
“Moony...” His voice was raspy, a needy whine in his tone.
Remus stood up and Sirius couldn‘t take his eyes off of him. If Remus would tell him to strip right here in the great hall, he would. But Remus isn‘t that evil. Least no yet.
„I have a gift for you in our dorm, c‘mon puppy“, Sirius melted at the pet name and took Remus‘ outstretched hand.
„Is that gift your cock?“, Sirius crooned, playing with Remus’ fingers.
Remus snorted, „M’gonna let you be a brat. Fuck it out of you later.“
Sirius blushed, again!
Remus pushed open the door and gestured to Sirius‘ bed, telling him to open his present. It was an early birthday gift, something he could only give him in private without it being suspicious.
Sirius went over and took a look at the simple black box, opening it. Inside was a thin, elegant gold chain with a small round pendant. His intitials engraved in the front, in beautiful cursive handwriting. S.O.B.
Sirius‘ breath hitched as he took the collar out, turning around to glance at Remus who was watching him, small smile on his lips.
„Moony“, Sirius said, voice barley above a whisper, „this is the most beautiful gift I‘ve ever recieved.“
Remus‘ smile got wider at that comment and he took the collar, putting it around Sirius‘ delicate neck.
Remus leaned down, lips brushing against his ear as he spoke, voice deep and thick with arousal, „I‘m the only one who can take it off. It‘s charmed. And everytime I touch the pendant on the backside, the initials change to my name, when you touch it they turn back into yours.“ To prove it, he flipped the pendant over to place his thumb on the back, and Sirius watched as the initials changed into R.J.L.
Sirius was speechless, looking at his pendant in the mirror. He swirled around, hooking his arms around Remus‘ neck, pushing himself up on his toes to kiss the boy. Remus chuckled, „I take it you like your gift?“
„Like?! I fucking love it, Merlin, Moony...“, he gasped, „Please touch it again, want your name on me.“
Remus groaned as he touched the pendant again, digging his hands under Sirius‘ thighs and lifting him against the mirror.
Remus pulled back slightly to take Sirius‘ hair out of its bun and tangled his hand in the soft, black hair. Sirius groand impatiently as Remus slowly lowered him on the bed.
„Fuck, Moony please, just touch me already.“
„Patience, puppy..“, Remus trailed of, „You‘ve waited for so long, surely you can wait a few more minutes.“
Sirius whined pressing his hips up against Remus‘, but Remus gripped them tight and pressed him down, giving him a strict glare.
„Sirius...“, his tone hard, „don‘t be greedy now, puppy. You want to cum, don‘t you? Want me to touch you?“
„M‘sorry, I‘ll be good promise, just wanna see you Moony..“, Sirius said softly, a longing expression on his face. Fuck, he had waited so long for this.
Remus softend, leaning down to kiss his neck, breathing in Sirius‘ scent. He took the smaller boys wrists and pressed his lips there, nipping at the thin skin, leaving small bruises. Sirius sat up slightly, taking his shirt off as Remus lightly scratched his nails on his sides.
„Mmm, puppy look at you. Your skin is so pure I just wanna ruin it...“, Remus growled against his stomach, teeth brusing the skin.
„Fuck, Remus, more!“
Remus took in a sharp breath, eyes lifting to look at Sirius needily.
„Say that again. Say my name again.“
Sirius grinned, tugging Remus up by his hair and moaned against his lips. „Remus, Remus, Remus...“, his voice cut off, when Remus whined and kissed him hard. No longer was their pace slow and passionate, but hard and rushes.
„Sirius, if we do this now, I won‘t be able to hold back..“, Remus gasped against Sirius mouth, „so if you, fuck, if you want to stop, say it now!“
Remus felt the familiar push of his wolf in his body and pulled back, hands fisting the bedsheet next to Sirius head.
„Remus...“
Thats all Sirius needed to say before, Remus lost control, ripping his pants of, speading his legs.
„Look at your pretty cock, baby, so desperate for me, hm? You filthy puppy...“
Sirius writhed on the bed, careful to not move his hips. Remus noticed and gave him a cocky smirk.
„Learning are you. Good boy, you are Moonys good boy, aren‘t you?“
„Yes, Remus, m‘your good boy.“
Sirius shivered and bucked his hips up, Remus’ voice making him whine loudly. He was impossibly hard, cock steadily leaking precum over his flat stomach. He was so deeply engrossed in his pleasure, that he didn’t see Remus bending over his cock again. Remus blew hot air over the tip, making Sirius let out a strangled yell. Remus kept pressing him down and pressed soft kisses all over his cock, softly suckling at the cherry red tip.
"Remus, plea-", he interrupted his own words with a cry, because Remus had suddenly taken him all the way down to his base, sucking and pushing his tongue to the vein on the underside.
Sirius couldn‘t talk, the only thing escaping his lips were breathy whimpers and he spread his legs wider. Remus licked at his heavy balls and Sirius sobbed with pleasure.
"Yesyesyes, Moony, Remus, please!" Sirius was tembling so hard, Remus had to adjust his position, and sucked harder, swallowing his cock. The wet heat of Remus mouth made Sirius want to cum so bad.
„Gonna cum, ah please ah fu-", Remus lifted his face slightly, mouth full of cock and fucking winked at Sirius. That did it for the smaller boy and he came, shouting Remus‘ name, his nails leaving little crescents on Remus’ shoulders. Remus' mouth continued licking his cock lewdly, eyes on Sirius, before finally realising him with a pop.
Sirius looked so fucked out and Remus admired him for a moment, watching the golden necklace glint in the dim light.
Remus leaned up, murmuring against his boyfriends lips. „So beautiful when you cum, Pads. My beautiful boy, hm?“
Sirius smiled blissfully, looking at Remus through hooded eyes and repeated, „Your boy?“
Remus grinned at him, all sharp teeth and red cheeks, „Your collar says so, sweetheart.“
Sirius giggled, kissing Remus.
“On you knees, Sirius.”
Sirius instantly got on his knees, back arching gracefully and Remus spread his legs further.
“Look at your pretty hole, baby, So pink and tight. Tell me what you want.”
Sirius pushed his ass back, pleadingly. “Remus please, I want you to fuck me. Wanna feel your cock, please.” Merlin, Remus was talking absolute filth.
Remus groaned, biting at the skin on Sirius’ ass and inner thighs, leaving teeth marks all over his skin. Spreading his ass he spit on his tight hole, middle finger gently rubbing against the taunt muscle and pushing inside. Remus had to squeeze his cock in his fist, holding himself back from cumming, but god, Sirius was beautiful like this.
„Look at your greedy hole, baby, taking me in so well. Why are you crying, s‘not enough? Want something bigger?“
Sirius, pushed back greedly, „Want your cock, Rem, please..“
Remus added two more fingers, stretching Sirius‘ hole as he kissed his inner thighs softly. „My good little baby, hm? Hungry for my cock, Pads? Don‘t worry I‘ll give you my cock, nice and deep. M‘gonna fill you up with my cum..“
Sirius was in heaven, ready to cum from Remus‘ voice alone, fuck he could cum all day from listening to his lover.
Remus took his fingers out, stretching his palm towards Sirius. „Spit, baby.“
Sirius spit in his palm and Remus used it to lubricate his cock, before he slowly pushed into Sirius‘ tight, hot hole.
Sirius moaned, a high pitched sound, and had to anchor himself to the bad so he wouldn‘t fall on his face. Remus wasn‘t gentle, he‘d waited plenty already and kept thrusting, nails raking down Sirius back to leave his marks. Seeing Sirius covered with his bites and scratched made him even hornier and he fucked him harder, throwing his head back as he growled.
„Rem- ah fuck Rem, m‘gonna cum, ah again!“
„Yeah?“, Remus choked out breathlessly, „I don‘t think so. Hold it, slut.“
Sirius cried out, fisting the sheets tighter in his hands, his hole clenching and Remus whimpered out a „Sirius fuck!“
Reaching down Remus wrapped his hand around Sirius‘ silky hair, pulling him up against his chest and fucked him with everything he had. He was fucking and moaning and scratching all over his body, his hand on Sirius‘ cock.
„Sirius, m‘close fuck cum for me baby, go ahead, there we go..“
Sirius came with a shout, his cum all over Remus‘ hand and Remus thrust up one last time, before he came inside of Sirius.
Sirius couldn‘t talk let alone breathe and he fell back against Remus‘ chest, boneless and dizzy.
„M‘so full, Moony so full...“, he whimpered.
„Shh, I know puppy, you did so well. Moonys good little boy, hm?“
Sirius tilted his head back and Remus smeared his lips against flushed cheeks, continuously praising his boyfriend.
„Wanna try something, baby, get on you knees for me again.“
Sirius obeyed without hesitation and gasped when he felt something cold press against his hole. A plug.
„You darling little girlfriend let me borrow her plug..“, Remus said, smirking at Sirius‘ needy expression, „told me to use it on you.“
Sirius let out a moan when the toy was completely pushed inside and gave Remus a dirty smile.
„Remind me to fuck her good later, she deserves it.“
Remus grinned and kissed the bites along Sirius spine, making out softly, before they finally fell asleep, utterly fucked out.

Worth The Wait (Part 2)
pairing: wolfstar (remus x sirius)
genre: fluff & angst
warnings: implied panic attack
words: 3116
a/n: i decided to write a second part because people asked and i was feeling nice. Also i didn’t want sirius to be sad cause that makes me sad :(
Remus’ head was spinning. He didn’t understand what had just happened. Sirius had tried to kiss him. Sirius had tried to kiss him. But it was his own reaction that concerned and confused Remus even more. Because when Sirius had tried to kiss him he had felt something. There had been a part of him that wanted to kiss Sirius back. Wanted it desperately. A part of him that wanted to let his lips meet Sirius’ and put his hands in Sirius’ hair, brush his jaw, touch his waist. That was the part of himself that frightened Remus. Alarms had gone off in his head telling him to turn away, not to listen to that part of him because god knows what road that would lead him down.
Fuck. How long had that part of him been there? Was it new? Was it something that had appeared just now? No, it can’t be, Remus thought. It felt like this part of him has been there for a while, in constant battle with the other part of him. A battle over Sirius. Over what he wants with Sirius, over what Sirius means to him. But if these thoughts had been there for a while, how was Remus only now becoming aware of them? And if they had been there for a while, what the fuck does this mean?
All these questions come flowing into Remus’ brain within a matter of seconds and they all feel unanswerable and Remus doesn’t know. He doesn’t know anything. He doesn’t know what to do or what to think because his brain is being so so loud and there’s screaming and he can’t tell if it’s in his head and everything’s going to implode and—
BREATHE, screams something in his head. BREATHE. Remus lies down in the grass and a stab of pain in his chest from a lack of oxygen. He gasps for breath and opens his eyes although he doesn’t remember closing them. He feels disoriented. Everything feels fake.
Remus sits back up and he buries his head in his arms. If Sirius were here, he’d be sitting next to Remus, comforting him. He could practically hear Sirius asking, “what’s going on in that big brain of yours?” There are lots of things going through his brain right now. But mostly it’s just the word ‘FUCK’ exactly like that, in all-caps flashing in his mind a million times over.
That’s wrong actually, says a voice in his head. Not about the word ‘FUCK’ being repeated in his head over and over again but about what Sirius would be doing if he was here. If Sirius were here he’d probably be sitting or maybe standing awkwardly away from Remus, that look of hurt and heartbreak on his face. The look that broke Remus’ insides. It broke him more to know that he was the reason Sirius was hurt. He never wanted to hurt Sirius. He was supposed to help Sirius when was hurt. He wasn’t supposed to be the one hurting him. He’d do anything for Sirius. But this was something else. This was different. But I want this too, said that part of him. I want Sirius. Remus tries to push the thought out of his mind but he can’t. So now instead of a constant loop of ‘fuck’ he’s stuck in a constant loop of ‘I want Sirius’. Great. Fucking fantastic.
Remus tries to organise his thoughts. Okay, so let’s say for a moment, just for argument’s sake, that he does want Sirius. That he likes Sirius in the same way Sirius apparently likes him. What does that mean? Does that make him gay? Am I gay? he thinks. Maybe. It’s possible. Remus had never considered it before. He doesn’t think he’s gay. Not that he’s ever had a particularly memorable romantic or sexual experience with a girl. But he’s never had one with a boy either. He’s never wanted to. Until now. Or until whenever he started imagining the way that Sirius’ hands would feel on his hips because this couldn’t be the first time. Definitely not. Okay, so maybe I am a little gay, then, he thinks. Fuck, this is hard.
Remus doesn’t want to go back to the dorm now. He’s sure that Sirius doesn’t want to see him. But he can’t stay out here so he goes back anyway. When he gets back to the dorm James, Sirius and Peter are all asleep and Remus wonders how long he’s been outside. He checks the clock. It’s past midnight. He showers as quietly as possible and goes to bed but it’s hours before he finally falls asleep. Questions keep swirling through his head, keeping him awake. And in the middle of it all, his almost-kiss with Sirius. Every time Remus thinks about it he feels his pulse rise. He turns away from his wall and sees Sirius in the bed across from him. He’s fast asleep, one hand hanging out of his bed, his lips slightly parted. Remus takes in the curve of his lips, the edge of his jaw, the bridge of his nose, his eyes closed and his dark eyelashes visible against his pale cheek. Remus wonders why he can’t turn away and then he realises what he’s thinking about. He’s thinking about how much he’d like to kiss Sirius right now and he can’t believe he let the chance pass by. He can’t believe he rejected Sirius. He turned down the most attractive person in this whole goddamn castle. Why? Remus can’t think of any reason right now.
When Remus wakes up the next morning the dorm is empty. He almost forgets about everything that happened last night. Until he rolls over and sees Sirius’ empty bed. His first thought is that it was a dream. Maybe it was just a dream. But when he goes down to the Great Hall for breakfast and sees the way Sirius is pointedly avoiding his eye, he knows it was real. So instead of going to sit with Sirius, James and Peter, he goes to sit with Lily, Marlene and Dorcas.
“Hey,” he says, sitting down beside Lily. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better,” she says. “Madam Pomfrey gave me a potion and I was fine within an hour. How was doing the rounds alone? Boring right?”
“Yeah,” Remus nods. He feels his stomach twist. Remus has no reservations about lying but he hates lying to Lily. It’s pointless anyway; she can usually see right through him. “Really boring.”
Remus spends the rest of the day avoiding Sirius. James and Peter stuck with Sirius and Remus pretended it didn’t bother him. Classes the next day gave Remus more excuses not to talk to Sirius. He sat next to Lily in every class and she seemed pleasantly surprised. She asked Remus that night if anything had happened with his friends but Remus said he didn’t want to talk about it so she dropped it.
“If you change your mind, I’m here,” she had said.
“Thanks, Lily, really,” he replied. He appreciated her support but he didn’t want to talk about what had happened. Not yet anyway.
---------
“Remus.” It’s James. Remus turns to him.
“Yeah?” Remus says. Five days had passed since the incident with Sirius. Remus had barely exchanged a sentence with James, Sirius or Peter. He’s sure James and Peter must have noticed something was going on but he had been hoping that Sirius hadn’t mentioned it.
“Look, I know things might be weird with Sirius right now but that doesn’t mean you have to avoid me and Peter as well,” he says.
“Why would things be weird with Sirius?” Remus tries to say casually. He fails.
“Remus…” James starts but Remus realises before he says anything.
“He told you, didn’t he?” Remus says. “Of course, he did. Fucking tells you everything, doesn’t he? Well, what are you doing, talking to me then? Isn’t it considered betrayal to talk to the person who rejected your best friend? It’s like fraternising with the enemy.”
“Remus, what are you talking about? You’re not ‘the enemy’,” James says. “Not to me. Certainly not to Sirius.”
“Did you know?” Remus asks, ignoring what James said. Because how was he supposed to respond to that? “When he said he’d come with me that night, did you know he was going to do it?”
“I knew he was thinking about it,” James says. “He’d been thinking about it for ages.”
“And you didn’t tell him it was a bad idea?” Remus asked, arms crossed.
“Well, no,” James says. “I… I assumed you would…”
“Like him back?”
“Well… yeah,” James says, sounding rather sheepish and apologetic.
“Why?”
“Why, what?”
“Why did you think I liked him back?”
“I don’t know,” James sighs. “You guys would spend all your time together. You had all these inside jokes. You’d stay up for hours talking to each other. Loads of reasons.”
“But you do that too!” Remus says. “You and Sirius do all those things you just said too and it’s not…”
“Yeah but that’s different,” James says. “Sirius has always been like my brother. Have you ever seen him as a brother?”
“I… I might have,” Remus says, arms crossed.
“Did you?”
“No,” Remus sighs. “I knew it was different, I just didn’t know that ‘different’ meant… this.”
“Does that… Remus, what do you mean?”
“Nothing,” Remus answers hurriedly, his face heating.
“Remus,” James starts, “I’m going to ask you this one time and whatever you say I’ll believe you, okay? Do you like Sirius?”
“Of course, I like Sirius, idiot, he’s my best friend,” Remus replies.
“Come on, you know what I mean,” James says. Remus remains silent. “You wanna know why I thought you liked him? Because of the way you look at him. Like you’re constantly in complete awe of him. It’s the same way he looks at you.”
“Fine,” Remus says. He’s not looking at James. “I… I think I do. I had never considered it before… before this but I started thinking about it and… and I think maybe I do actually like him.”
“Remus, that’s okay,” James says, hugging him. “It’s okay not to know or not to recognise an emotion when you’re feeling it in the moment.” Remus feels himself relax a little. Something about being told that it’s okay, that what he’s feeling is okay, something about it being put into words is comforting to him even if he can’t explain why.
“You should talk to him,” James says gently. “And you know that whatever happens, I’ll be here for you. For both of you.”
“More for Sirius than for me,” Remus says before he can stop himself. He means it as a joke, kind of, but James takes him by both shoulders and looks him dead in the eye.
“Hey,” he says. “Absolutely not. Our friendship is just as important to me as my friendship with Sirius. Remus, I promise you no matter what happens, I will always be your best friend. You assume that Peter and I would choose Sirius over you. We wouldn’t. We kept trying to talk to you these last few days but you avoided us and shut us out. Don’t do that, Rem. We miss you. We want you in our lives just as much as Sirius. I promise you that. You believe me, don’t you?”
“Yeah, I do,” Remus says. And he does. Somehow. He’s not quite sure how but he does. He’s silent for a moment but gives in eventually and says it. Says the thing that’s been worrying him since the moment Sirius’ lips brushed his own for that split second. “I don’t want to lose him.”
“You can’t,” James says without hesitation. “You can’t because I know you, Remus, and I know you won’t let that happen. And Sirius won’t let it happen either.”
---------
Remus couldn’t sleep again. He couldn’t think about anything other than Sirius, lying two beds away from him. What the hell was happening to him? Sirius had been sleeping two beds away from him since they were eleven but now suddenly it was keeping him up at night? He didn’t understand himself. He rolled over.
“Sirius?” he whispered. Sirius turned around.
“Yeah?” he whispered back. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. I just… woke up,” Remus lied. “I don't know if I’ll be able to fall asleep now though.” He glances over to where James and Peter are still fast asleep, both snoring like logs. Sirius isn’t saying anything. “You wanna go downstairs?” Remus asked hopefully. He needs to talk to Sirius. If he figured out anything from a week of avoiding Sirius it was that he hated life without him. Unfortunately, Sirius had continued to avoid Remus even after Remus had resolved to stop. Remus could hardly blame him but he really wished Sirius wouldn’t. It made things harder.
“Yeah, okay,” Sirius nodded, getting up. Remus stands up as well, pulls a sweater on and quietly slips out the door after Sirius. They walked down the stairs in silence and sat down on the couches in the empty common room. The fire had nearly died out but it provided enough light for the two of them. Remus had, evidently, not thought this through. What the fuck was he supposed to say now?
“I can’t believe you put on a sweater when it’s nearly summer,” Sirius said, saving Remus the trouble.
“Why is that so hard to believe?” Remus asked, trying to keep it casual. “I do it all the time.”
“I know,” Sirius said. “It’s weird.”
“Weirder than wearing a leather jacket every day of the year?”
“That’s called style.”
“Well, sweaters are my style.”
“Fine, if you say so.”
“What, would you rather I wore leather jackets?”
“You can wear whatever you like, Moony.” Silence. That was the most they’d spoken all week.
“What do you want to do?” Sirius asked. Remus shrugged. He knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to kiss Sirius. Like, now. It was all he had been able to think about all week. But getting to the point where he’d be able to do that was what Remus seemed to be struggling with. “Why did you suggest we come downstairs, then?”
“Better than listening to James and Peter snore, isn’t it?” Remus said.
“I guess,” Sirius said. Remus hesitated. This felt like an opening. He was determined to take it.
“Sirius,” he started.
“Yeah?”
“You know… uhm the other night, when you came with me to do the rounds—”
“Remus, I’m sorry, okay?” Sirius said, his face falling. He was back away from Remus. “I get it, you don’t… you don’t like me like that—”
“No but that’s just it,” Remus said. He didn’t want Sirius to leave. Instinctively, he reached out a hand and took Sirius’. “I do.”
“What?” Sirius looked from Remus to their joined hands and back again.
“I do like you… like that,” Remus said, blushing.
“But when I…” Sirius started. “You said we should just be friends.”
“I… I was scared,” Remus admitted. “I had never thought about it before. And when you tried to… it made me think about what that would mean. About me and about our friendship. And I got scared. I’m sorry, Sirius, I’m so sorry if I hurt you. But I’ve been thinking about it since then. And… I think I may have actually liked you for a long time.”
“Remus…” Sirius started, shaking his head. “You don’t have to do this. It’s okay that you don’t like me in that way. I love being your friend and if that’s what you want then I’m happy with that. You don’t have to do this.”
“Sirius, I’m not doing anything. I’m telling you the truth, I swear.”
“R–Really?”
“Yeah,” Remus said. Sirius’ lips were parted in surprise. Remus couldn’t stop staring at them. A sudden overwhelming feeling came over him and he had to refrain from brushing Sirius’ bottom lip with his thumb. But then he realised that he doesn’t have to refrain from it. Remus hesitated for a moment. He scooted closer to Sirius on the couch, one leg crossed in front of him and the other dangling off the edge of the couch. He reached out a hand and caressed Sirius’ cheek, his thumb brushing Sirius’ bottom lip. Sirius closed his eyes. “Can I kiss you?” he asked.
“Yes,” Sirius said. It came out like a whisper, his eyes still closed. Remus leaned in and slowly closed the gap between his mouth and Sirius’. His heart was thrumming so loud in his ears, he felt like the sound was echoing in his brain. His hand was still cupping Sirius’ face. He wrapped it around Sirius’ neck, kissing him harder. And as Sirius’ hands find Remus’ waist, pulling him closer, as Remus becomes acutely aware of the fact that his leg is pressed against Sirius’ thigh, Remus wonders how the fuck it took him so long to realise that this was what he’s been wanting the whole time.
“I’m sorry,” was the first thing Remus said when they broke apart.
“What?” Sirius asked, looking at him incredulously.
“I’m sorry that I didn’t figure this out sooner,” he said.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Sirius said. “You could’ve taken another year and I wouldn’t care. You’re worth the wait.”
“Still,” Remus said. “I would’ve liked more time to do this.” And he kisses Sirius again. Slowly first and then more passionately, pulling Sirius towards him like he wants every inch of him and more. And Sirius lets him have it. Yep, Remus thought, I’m definitely gay. To some degree, at least. He knew there was a whole spectrum of sexualities but he’d never really bothered to think about it much until now. But figuring out his sexuality was something that Remus wasn’t particularly fussed about at this moment in time. Right now, he just wanted to stay here in Sirius’ arms, curled up on a couch, watching the fire die out, pressing tiny kisses to Sirius’ lips, the tip of his nose, the curve of his jaw.
He thinks about what Sirius said and smiles. You’re worth the wait.
---------
Sirius meant what he had said. He would’ve waited for Remus forever if he’d had to. He’d have waited until the concept of time ceased to exist. But he didn’t have to. Because Remus was his now. And all it took was one look into Remus’ amber eyes, glowing in the dying embers of the fire, for Sirius to know that this was real: he was falling in love with Remus Lupin. And he couldn’t be happier about it.

GRYFFINDOR TOWER SHENANIGANS (Wolfstar + Jily)
"You've got to be kidding me"
Marlene wasn't one to complain, but she did have a point this time
"Black did you rig the bottle? It's landed on you more times than Frank lands on the grass at quidditch practice"
"Hey!" Frank intended to sound offended but it came out as more of a laugh, Marlene wasn't exaggerating about his crashes.
Not two hours into the game, Sirius had kissed over half of the people that sat in the common room playing. There was still someone Sirius hadn't gotten to kiss, and it was slowly frustrating him.
"I swear I have nothing to do with this, but I wouldn't put it past a certain Potter to rig it"
"If I were to do it it'd be so Lily could kiss me,not for you to snog half of Griffindor on one sitting. I'm innocent this time, I swear"
"They have no clue what charm to use for that Marls, they're too daft for it" If it had been anyone else, they'd taken offense, but coming from Remus they weren't surprised. That boy sure loved teasing his friends.
People didn't seemed to be complaining anyway, most of the girls had been dying to kiss Sirius for years and he himslef didn't mind one bit. Girl kisses were soft and they always smelled nice. The only people slightly upset were those who hadn't gotten their chance at a Black kiss yet, and well, Marlene.
"Someone did something because this is just ridiculous"
Still, confused about how the bloody bottle was being controlled,Marlene knew the rules. It landed on him, now she had to kiss him. If this had been 3 years ago, she would have been ecstatic, but her now out-and-proud self couldn't care less about kissing her classmate.
And the same way she kissed him, so did another 7 people in the following hour, a refusing James included.
"I'm not kissing him!"
"Afraid of boys are we Prongs? Didn't know your masculinity was so fragile" A few giggles followed Remus' comment
"He's my best friend, it's weird"
"You've kissed Peter though"
Ok that was a valid point. Christmas parties often ended up with many alcohol-induced incidents at the Griffindor tower.
"I was drunk!"
"Yeah and I'd like to add it was nonconsensual from both ends. It's Sirius' fault for charming the bloody mistletoe" Peter chimed in from his chair
"Just do it Potter, we don't have all night"
Not for the first time, James' brain hurried to make the situation beneficial for himself
"If I kiss Sirius will you finally kiss me Evans?"
Rejecting an immature bully was one thing, rejecting the improved man that the bully turned into was another thing. Even playing hard was starting to be difficult for Lily. God the summer changed him so much.
"Perhaps"
"I knew you couldn't reject me"
"C'mon love birds, am I getting kissed or not?"
"Eager are we Sirius?"
"Rumor has it you're a great kisser, my deer"
Turns out, sfter what can be called more than a peck on the lips but not quite a makeout, the rumors were true.
"Evans you're missing out on some quality snogs"
"Yeah sure whatever. Black, your turn to spin"
"For the twentieth time" A low mumble came from Marlene and a few smiles from those who heard it followed.
He didn't really know why, but for the past month or so Sirius' mind decided to ask a very weird question.
What's Moony like when kissing?
And of course, there was no going back. Every time he laughed, every time he took a sip of tea or bite of chocolate, every god damned time he made a sarcastic remark, Sirius found himself staring at Remus' mouth.
The bottle kept spinning a bit longer than usual, probably because Sirius' eager grip was a bit tighter on the bottle, but it eventually landed.
"What now?" Nobody had planned for what happens when it lands in between to people, in this occasion between Lily and Remus.
James hurried to talk, as he often did, "well you've already kissed Lily tonight so that's boring for everyone to see"
To everyone else it looked like James didn't want someone kissing his Lily, which wasn't technically wrong, but Peter saw the gears in his head turning, a different objective in mind.
Remus had been having a blast, his friends were always great fun and he'd only had to kiss a few girls. But his face all but fell at the mention of having to kiss his crush. Crush who, might I add, was straight for all Remus knew. Or even worse, crush who was supposed to be his best friend. Crush who, if they got together and later broke up, would ruin their friendship.
Why does Merlin hate me?
"So I kiss Remus?" You could basically see Sirius' heart beating furiously, his voice sounded terrified but he could have bursted into flames from excitement.
Marlene and Lily exchanged a few quick whispering comments but nobody seemed to notice as Sirius made his way to Remus.
It's just to know. I'm simply curious. It's like an experiment, and besides it's for the game.
Lies. All lies Sirius kept repeating to himself.
It's not like l like boys, it's a scientific research. There's nothing romantic about this, it's just a kiss between friends.
Remus' face was getting progressively redder as Sirius leaned forward to him.
Fuck.Fuck.Fuck.Fuck.
This wasn't Remus' first akward kiss, but it definitely out did all the rest. His lips were tight fron the nerves and he didn't aimed well, kissing closer to the corner of Sirius' mouth.
Why? Why me? What did I do to deserve this? I'm never going to make eye contact with him ever ag-Oh. That's...new
Sirius rellaxed a bit, taking control, pressing softly against Remus. His hand made his way to his hair, and slowly dropped down to his neck, then his bicep, forearm and finally settled at his wrists, and Remus just about melted right then and there.
Someone, Merlin knows Remus can't think about who right now, said time is relative. Who ever said it had a point, because what felt like a few seconds to the blushing pair were more actually long minutes to those around them watching.
"Should we leave them alone? It doesn't look like they have any intentionon stopping"
"Probably, they've been waiting for this for a while now"
"How do you know Evans? Did Remus tell you? Did Padfoot?! Why would he tell you but not me?!"
"Relax Potter, neither told me. It's obvious though"
"They are the only ones who haven't noticed, well, them and you. Honestly James how are you so oblivious?"
"I've been busy Marlene, quidditch practice and pulling pranks take a lot of energy out of me"
"That and starting at Lily all day long"
"Shut up Wormtail"
"C'mon, let's leave the love birds fo their thing. It's getting late anyway" Molly spoke up, standing hand in hand with Arthur.
"They are on a completely othe planet right now" James walked over to the stair headed for the dorms
"Where are you going?" Lily's voice came out sounding challenging, something new to James' ears
"To bed, wanna come Evans?"
"No, but I do believe l owe you a kiss"
"Yet again, The Potter Charm triumphs!" A proud laugh came from James
"Don't ruin it"

Aww, You’re Blushing!
This is a Wolfstar fic requested by an anon so I hope you enjoy it!
Word count: 1122
Summary: Sirius gets bored and wants to do something fun with Remus.
--------------------------------------------------
The warm Spring breeze gently swept through Remus’ hair as he sat under a tall tree on the ground of Hogwarts. It was a calm Sunday afternoon. Remus was all caught up with his work so decided to relax out in the fresh air, basking in some well needed alone time. He managed to get an hour of peace and quiet until a familiar voice began calling his name.
“Remus! Oh Reeeemus!”
“And that’s my ‘me time’ over with” Remus muttered to himself, under his breath. Sirius planted himself next to Remus and leant in close.
“Whatcha doing?” he asked.
“Just wanted some time away from work to relax.” Remus responded. Sirius looked around.
“Not even with a book?” He asked, puzzled.
“No, I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. To enjoy the peace and quiet.”
Sirius nodded and stopped talking. He looked at Remus then looked at the view. He sighed.
“So….” he began, Remus breathed out heavily.
“Yes?” Remus asked him.
“I’m bored,” Sirius said.
“Well go and annoy James then,” Remus responded.
“But you’re my boyfriend, I wanna annoy you.”
Remus sighed but said nothing. He leant back on his hands and shut his eyes, lifting his head up to feel the breeze again. Sirius reached over and gently tickled under Remus’ chin. He swatted Sirius hand away.
“Sirius come on, I’m trying to relax.”
“You’ve had an hour to relax, I wanna have some fun now.”
“I am having fun,” Remus responded.
“Well I’m not,” Sirius said before squeezing Remus’ side. Remus twitched and slapped his hand away again.
“Now I am…” Sirius said before launching himself at Remus.
“Wait, Sirius, don’t...come on!” Remus protested but Sirius was now sitting on top of him, pinning him to the ground.
“Initiating Remus’ relaxing massage” Sirius said in a robotic tone.
“No, Sirius, don’t you dare…” Remus warned. He knew the robotic voice all too well, it meant that Sirius was so bored that Remus was gonna pay the price for it.
“Beginning countdown. Massage beginning in 5...4...3…”
“Sirius…”
“2...1…”
“Sirius stop this!” Remus protested. Sirius locked eyes with him and smirked. He stopped the robotic voice and bent down slightly.
“Computer says no,” he whispered loudly before beginning his attack. His hands latched onto Remus’ sides before he began massaging them quickly. Remus yelped loudly and burst into giggles.
“SIRIUS!” He shouted.
“Massage. Massage. Massage.” Sirius repeated over and over again in a robotic voice. He wasn’t looking at Remus but his heart was full from the sound of Remus’ laughter.
“SIRI-AAHH-SIRIUS STOP” Remus screamed as Sirius found his ribs.
“ALERT! TENSE SPOT DETECTED. MUST ELIMINATE!” Sirius shouted just before he quickly moved his fingers up and down Remus’ ribs. Remus was screaming loudly now.
“NOHOHOHO AHAHAHAHA SIRIUS PLEHEHEASEHAHAHAHAHA”
Sirius snapped out of the robotic tone and smiled fondly at his boyfriend. Remus’ hair was now a mess and his face was scrunched up. He looked so happy and adorable. Sirius stopped briefly to let him breathe.
“Aww, you’re so cute” Sirius said, his hands resting on Remus’ sides.
“I-I’m not” Remus breathed out.
“Yes you areee” Sirius sang, very gently squeezing Remus’ sides.
“Nohoho I’m not” Remus giggled out, his face turned red.
“Aww you’re blushing!” Sirius teased. Remus lifted his hands to cover his face.
“Am not,” he sulked.
“Oh but you are, you’re my blushing little boyfriend” Sirius teased again. Remus let out a huff but said nothing.
“Admit you’re blushing or I’m gonna get you again…” Sirius warned. Remus made a little squeak but said nothing.
“Fine.” Sirius said, sternly. His hands slid under Remus’ arms and began tickling. Remus shrieked and slammed his arms down.
“NO!” He shouted. Sirius laughed.
“Oh yes...now admit you’re blushing” Sirius said, speeding up the tickles.
“IHIHIHIM NOT!” Remus screamed out, overcome by the ticklish sensations.
“Admit it.” Sirius said again, his hands now moving down to Remus’ tummy. But this was his biggest mistake. Though Remus shrieked and laughed once more, his hands now latched onto Sirius and he used the remainder of his strength to push Sirius to the side and sit on him. Sirius was now in trouble.
“Oh you’re so going to regret that,” Remus warned. Without hesitation, he launched his hands onto Sirius’ tummy, a spot that was so much worse on Sirius than it was on Remus.
“NO WAIT!” Sirius screamed.
“I did my waiting…” Remus said, winking at Sirius. His slender fingers danced around Sirius’ torso as he admired his boyfriend’s laugh.
“YOU LITTLE SHIHIHIHITAHAHAHAHAHA” Sirius screamed out as Remus attacked his lower tummy. Remus smiled and slowed his attack to gently skittering his fingers over Sirius’ ticklish tummy. Sirius let out little giggles.
“Aww look at you giggling away, you’re the cute one now,” Remus cooed.
“Shhuhuhut uhuhup” Sirius giggled out, trying to prise Remus’ fingers away from his sensitive tummy.
“What’s wrong baby? I thought you were enjoying this?” Remus teased, picking the speed up a little.
“Nohohoho” Sirius shrieked as Remus dug a finger into his belly button.
“What’s this? Are you..? No way. Aww you’re blushing!” Remus teased.
“SHUT UP NO I’M NOT!” Sirius shouted, blushing harder.
“Yes you areee” Remus cooed, copying Sirius’ teases. “Just admit it darling and I’ll stop.”
“NO!” Sirius yelled.
“Okay then.” Remus said, calmly. He shuffled down a bit and grabbed onto Sirius’ thighs.
“REMUS WAIT!”
“Yes my love?”
“PLEASE”
“Please what?”
“PLEASE….DON’T”
“Please don’t what?”
“TICKLE ME!.......WAIT!”
“You asked” Remus said, his fingers now squeezing and spidering all over Sirius’ ticklish thighs. Sirius screamed bloody murder and tried to wriggle about but he was trapped.
“Admit you’re blushing and I’ll stop” Remus said, blatantly trying to copy Sirius.
“NO!” Sirius yelled.
“Fine, I’ll keep going.” Remus kept squeezing one thigh with one hand and used the other to spider across his lower tummy again. Sirius tried swatting his hand away but it was no use.
“I CAHAHAHANT BREATHE AHAHAHAHA”
“If you can talk, you can breathe.” Remus said, coolly.
Sirius thrashed about underneath him, screaming and laughing. He was getting more and more red in the face.
“OHOHOHOHOKAY I GIVE I GIVE”
“Say it.”
‘I…..I….I….”
“Say. It.”
“I’M BLUHUHUHSHING” Sirius cried out. Remus stopped immediately and Sirius instantly retracted his hands and hid his face.
“Awh, my little blushy boy.” Remus cooed. He smiled at Sirius for a moment then laid down on top of him, cuddling him close.
“Are you okay?” Remus asked. Sirius nodded and slowly removed his hands.
“I love you” Sirius whispered
“I love you too,” Remus replied before going in for a kiss. They had found their new favourite way to relax with each other.

Let Them Eat Cake part ii (Wolfstar bake off au)
This week on The Great British Bake Off
“Oh Lord I’ve just gone and dropped my dough. Repeat, I’ve just dropped my dough”
“I forgot to turn my oven on.”
“I’m going home for sure.”
Remus woke up to his phone ringing.
“Remus!” His mom half-yelled down the line, “You came third in the technical!”
Remus rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hand. “Mam, I already told you that, I rang you right after it happened.”
“I know, I know,” Hope said, “But the first episode only came out last night so I’m all excited about it again. Christ Re it’s so strange seeing you on the telly.”
Remus let out an amused huff and flopped back down onto the plush hotel pillows. “Thanks?”
“I’m so proud of you sweetheart… What have you got on today?”
“We’re filming again today, so the first two challenges.”
“Oh, what’s the theme this week?” Hope needled and Remus rolled his eyes fondly. “Man, you know I can’t tell you that yet.”
“I’m your mother. I think if you told anyone, it should be me.”
“Well if I were telling anyone, I would tell you, however…”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, you’re not telling anyone.” She said a little disappointed. “It was worth a shot.” She let out a melancholic sigh, “My only child, too big a star now, doesn’t even have time to talk to his own mother.”
“I’m currently talking to my own mother so I think that contradicts your point a little.” Remus chimed in. “Also, I hardly think being on one episode of Bake Off counts as a star.”
“Well it’s all anyone here at home has been talking about for at least a month.”
“Wow, they really need to get a life.” He said dryly and chuckled when his mother began to admonish him. “Oh mam, I’ve got to go, I’m almost late for filming, I’ll call you later.”
“That sounds like a cop out if I’ve ever heard one Remus Lupin, but I’ll let you go anyways. Good luck today, I love you.”
“Love you too mam. Talk soon, bye bye.” He pressed the end call button and lay with his phone on his chest for a moment before actually checking the time. He had about an hour before he was expected on set. He rolled out of bed with a groan and headed into the shower.
Remus quite literally ran into Sirius.
“Oh shit sorry!” He cried as they collided. Sirius caught Remus’ wrist to steady himself and held on for a split second before letting go.
“In a hurry Lupin?”
Remus flushed a little, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. “Yeah I was supposed to meet Lily at the door five minutes ago but I got caught up.”
Sirius just maintained eye contact for a moment before reaching out and touching the sleeve of Remus’ cream knit sweater. “This is nice.”
Remus lost his words. “Oh um, thank you. I made it actually.”
Sirius quirked a smile. “A baker and a knitter? You’re a real home-boy.”
Remus laughed a little. “Yeah you could definitely say that. I knit when I’m watching TV or whatever, I hate when I don’t have something to do with my hands. ‘Idle hands’ and all that.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” Remus said, shrugging him off despite the fact that he was possibly about to lose his mind. The Sirius Black was teasing him.
“Anyways, I should probably go.” He said, ducking his head. “Lily’s waiting for me.”
“And we’ve got a show to get to.” Sirius added.
“Yeah,” Remus smiled. “Yeah we do.”
“Hello and welcome back everyone, to this week’s episode of The Great British Bake Off.” James said grandly as soon as Marlene had signalled that she was recording. “This week, it’s bread week.”
Remus sighed. He fucking loved bread. He was coeliac, so he didn’t eat bread but… he fucking loved bread.
“For our first challenge,” Sirius announced, “Our judges would like to see two plaited loaves. Any flavouring is up to you, but each loaf should be twelve inches in length with clear, defined plaits.”
The bakers all nodded and the camera panned around the room to catch everyone’s reactions.
“Alright then, Sirius, dough you want to tell them to begin?”
Remus bit his lip to stop himself from laughing. That pun was so cringy but Remus was a sucker for bad jokes.
“Why yes James, I most certainly dough. Three, two one… Bake!”
Marlene started her rounds today by coming straight to Remus.
“So Remus, what’re you making today?” James asked, appearing by his side.
“Well the first one, is going to have basil and some tomato sauce and then have some mozzarella plaited in.” Remus said as he took out a glass bowl and began adding ingredients to it. “Then the second one is going to have four different kinds of cheese in it.”
“So basically, no one who’s lactose intolerant can go anywhere near your bread.”
Remus laughed and scratched his cheek. “Pretty much. But I mean, neither of them will be gluten free, so I can’t eat them either.”
James grinned. “I suppose I’ll just have to be your official taste tester then.”
“You know, those already exist. They’re called judges.” Remus chirped and Sirius who was passing laughed, shooting Remus an appreciative look.
James moved on to Lily and Remus could hear her telling him about her toffee bread. Remus had seen her practicing it - it always looked amazing and the other contestants had raved about it. Remus had gotten the recipe from her and he was going to try to make a gluten-free version when all of this was over.
Remus covered the bowls with a layer of cellophane and put them in the proving drawer, waiting until they had at least doubled in size before he would take them out again.
In the meantime, Remus got busy finely chopping fresh basil, making a tomato sauce and slicing mozzarella.
“Looking good, Lupin.” Sirius said, jumping up to sit on the end of Remus’ bench, away from the food.
“Why thank you.” Remus said then had to slap Sirius’s hand away when he tried to steal a slice of cheese. “Oi, get away you cheeky bugger.”
Sirius shrugged,” I’m just trying to relieve James of his official taste tester duties.”
“You’re trying to relieve yourself from your stomach grumbling is more like.” Remus shot back, but he held out a chopping board with his many different cheeses all neatly sliced and grinned. “Go on then, you can have one.”
Sirius’s eyes glimmered. “You know, I quite like you Lupin.” He said, before hopping off the table and wandering away.
“It’s a good thing I quite like cheese Mr Lupin.” Dumbledore said in an almost teasing tone as they reached Remus’ bench to judge. They cut the first loaf and each had a taste.
“I think I would have liked it to have stayed in the oven for a little longer.” McGonagall said, “It’s just missing the really crusty outside we were looking for. But the flavours are wonderful, I quite like the concept.”
“And I, as the official taste tester, i think it’s amazing.” James said, stealing a slice and there were a couple of giggles around the tent. Even Remus cracked a smile.
“Let’s move on to the next one, shall we?” Remus just nodded, his jaw clenched as he listened. This time, the knife made a much more satisfying sound as it cut through the bread. Remus couldn’t help but sigh a little in relief, his eyes trained on the loaf to see if the bake was even.
“Now, this one is much better.” Dumbledore said before he took a bite. His eyes fluttered closed as he chewed and Remus pursed his lips together to stop himself from smiling. “Very enjoyable Mr Lupin, I can’t find a fault with this one.”
McGonagall nodded in agreement and with that they moved over to Lily’s bench. Remus sat down on his stool with a sigh, his shoulders slumping.
“Hey, good job. ”Sirius whispered as he passed and Remus smiled. Yeah, he quite liked bread.
“Ah look at little Remus, eating his salad.” Tonks teased, ruffling his hair as she plopped down on the chair next to him. Remus scowled. “Believe me, if I could be eating bread like the rest of you lot, I would be.”
“Alas, alack!” A guy Peter, another contestant proclaimed. “We get to eat your bread though. It’s so good mate, much better than that sad lump I presented.”
Everyone around the table started sniggering. Peter had had a bit of an accident resulting in burned bread. It was edible, but it really hadn’t looked like much.
“I’m really going to have to up my game in the next two challenges.” He moaned. “I really don’t want to go home yet.” They all nodded in agreement and the table went quiet for a moment as everyone thought while they munched.
“What a rowdy bunch you lot are.” Sirius said, he and James each pulling up a chair. ”Can we…?” He asked, pointing to the selection of breads, all sliced in the middle of the table.
“Yeah of course,” Remus said. “They’re there to eat.”
Remus certainly didn’t that Sirius immediately went for one of the loaves he made. Nope. Not at all.
“So how are we all feeling about the next challenge?” James asked, tearing parts off his hunk of bread and popping them into his mouth.
“Oh my god, new rule.” Tonks declared. “No competition talk when we’re on our breaks. I need to talk about something other than the ratio of sugar to flour.”
Sirius chuckled at her abruptness. “Fair enough. Let’s see… What are your favourite colours?”
“Basic question.” Tonks countered, leaning back in her chair, “But I’ll take it. Mine is pink.”
“Really? I never would have guessed.” Remus said dryly, gesturing to her hair. Lily choked on her food.
“What’s yours then Remus?” Tonks challenged.
Remus shrugged. “I don’t have a favourite, I like them all.”
“Even brown?” Peter piped in.
“Especially brown. It’s the colour of chocolate. It’s also like the most hated colour, it needs some appreciation.”
“It’s one of the most hated colours because it’s boring. Like is there any colour more dull than brown?” James asked.
“Beige.” Lily said and James pointed a finger at her, indicating that she had made a valid point. “Okay, that’s very fair. Beige is boring as fuck.”
“I can’t believe this is a conversation we’re having.” Sirius mused and Remus looked at him incredulously. “You’re the one who started it!”
“I asked for favourite colours, not the opposite. It was you who set us on this dull - coloured path.” Sirius counted, his eyes playful. Tonks looked between the two of them for a moment before checking her watch.
“I hate to be the one to break up the band but, it’s time for us to get back to it.”
“Ah, the woes of the working life.” Sirius lamented and Remus snorted.
“Oh hush, you have like, the best job ever.”
Sirius threw his arm around James’ shoulders. “That’s very true. Come on then Jamie, let’s get back to it.”
“Our next challenge, is of course our technical.” James announced as the cameras began rolling. “This week, our judges have asked you to make bagels.”
“You should have five identical bagels at the end. Your instructions are on your bench.”
“Ready?”
“Set.”
“Bake!”
Remus lifted the cloth that was covering the ingredients and recipe McGonagall and Dumbledore had written for them. He both loved and hated the technical, possibly for the same reasons. The steps were vague and needed a lot of thought which was pretty annoying but it challenged him and pushed him to see what kind of baker he was.
“You ever made these?” Lily asked and Remus shook his head. “No, never. You?”
“Nope.” She said, popping the ‘p’. “This should be interesting.”
Remus chuckled as he began reading the instructions. make a dough, it read.
“Don’t you love how specific these instructions are?” Remus said to Tonks sarcastically and some of her hair fell out of her comically short ponytail as she laughed.
“This dough is meant to be stretchy I think.” Lily commented and Remus nodded his head. “Yeah, I’ve heard that too.”
Remus set to work, covering his dough in cellophane once more and popping it into the proving drawer.
“You know I could really get used to this proving business,” he commented, “It gives me the chance to make a cup of tea.”
“Glad to see you have your priorities.” Sirius joked as he appeared. “Any chance I can have one too?” Remus just nodded to the bench in response, where he had already taken out a mug for Sirius.
Sirius finished making the tea as Remus took out a pot, filled it with water and put it on the hob to boil. Just then a panicked wail sounded through the tent.
“Oh lord, I’ve just gone and dropped my dough. Repeat, I dropped my dough.”
James was immediately at his side to help him figure it out. They chatted intensely for a minute, the cameras circling like vultures as Peter forlornly tossed the ruined dough in the bin, but began to make a new one. Remus let out a shaking breath on his friends behalf, Peter would really be racing against the clock.
“It’s make it or break it time.” Remus said, turning back to his own work , decking to focus on that for now. His thoughts wouldn’t help Peter and all Remus could do right now was work on his own project. Having divided his dough and rolled it into shape, he boiled them one by one, praying he was doing the right thing. “And now you fuckers are going in the oven.”
“Oh my god Remus.” Marlene said. “We had great footage of you there and you totally just ruined it.”
“Sorry sorry, I’ll do it again.” Remus smirked and slid the tray into the oven. “And now you little shits are going in the oven.”
Marlene just turned around and left as Sirius’ laugh filled the tent.
Remus walked up to the table to present his baking to be judged. As per the rules, he placed the plate down behind his picture and sat in one of the stools lined up, facing the table. McGonagall and Dumbledore arrived, looking much to chipper for Remus liking, not when he was struggling not to start biting his nails. He chose instead to pick at the hem of his jumper until Lily took his hand in hers. He was grateful - he really liked this jumper.
Peter was disappointed but not at all surprised when his bagels hadn’t risen enough. How could they have when making a second batch had essentially cut out the proving process. Tonks’ were a bit too small. Lily’s were a bit too chewy. Remus  bit his lip to stop himself from beaming when his were the best of the bunch. Still not perfect, not by a long shot, but he had won the technical challenge and his relief sent him out of the tent, unable to lessen the grin on his face as Marlene questioned him.
“How are you feeling, after today?”
“I’m feeling pretty good! I got off to a bit of a rocky start today, but I think I recovered well so I’m looking forward to sinking my teeth into the challenge tomorrow.”
Marlene gave him a thumbs up and wandered away to find some of the others.
“Well done Mr Technical Challenge!” Lily cried, slinging her arm around his waist as they began to walk back to the hotel.
“Why thank you, Ms Star Baker.”
“We make quite the pair.” Lily observed.
“That, my dear Lily, we most certainly do.”
Remus woke up in Lily’s room.
“Ugh, that alarm is so loud.” Remus groaned and ignored Lily giggling at him.
“I can’t believe how much you’re not a morning person, you seem like you’re hungover or something.”
“I am hungover as a result of life, Lily.” He muttered. “Existing is exhausting.”
“By god, you really are dramatic in the morning.” She gathered up a towel and some toiletries. “I’m going for a shower and to get ready. Meet you for breakfast in twenty?”
Remus nodded in agreement, shoved on his shoes and started gathering the one or two belongings he had. He hadn’t meant to sleep in Lily’s room, but they had stayed up so late talking the pair had just drifted off. It had been the best night Remus had spent her so far - he and Lily curled up under a pile of blankets, each nursing a mug of hot chocolate as they gossiped like school girls.
Remus stepped out the door and very closely avoided a collision with Sirius.
“I’m getting a freaky sense of deja vu right now.” Remus said, grinning.
Sirius raised an eyebrow. “This… isn’t your room.”
Remus shook his head as they began walking down the corridor. “Nah, it’s Lily’s, I’m heading back to mine now.”
“You and… Lily?”
Remus choked as he realized what Sirius was thinking. “No, no, God no. I mean, Lily’s fantastic but no. We’re just friends, we fell asleep talking.”
Sirius’ shoulders almost seemed to visibly lighten. “Oh right, yeah.”
Remus grinned and nudged Sirius’ shoulder with his own playfully. “Lily’s not really my type.”
“Oh yeah? What is your type then?”
“Oh you know… not women.”
Sirius smirked and looked at Remus sideways. “Now that, sounds like something I quite relate to.”
Remus slowed to a stop as they reached his door. “I suppose I’ll see you in the tent?”
“That seems pretty unavoidable, doesn’t it?” Sirius threw him a cheeky wink and turned on his heel, continuing down the hall. Remus would be lying if he said he didn’t watch him walk away.
“Welcome back for our showstopper challenge!” Sirius said, smiling at all the contestants.
“This will be your second showstopper, so get ready.”
“That’s right,” James continued, “This week's challenge will be to bake pull apart rolls.”
“Jamie, are you sure you have the right challenge? That doesn’t sound very showstopper like.”
“Why thank you Sirius, you’d be right. I did forget to mention that your rolls should make the shape of your favourite animal.”
Remus rolled his eyes at the obviously pre prepared banter and yet he found himself smiling anyways.
“Ready.”
“Set.”
“Bake!”
Remus immediately set to work, knowing exactly what he wanted to do and how to do it, however he had been cutting it quite close on time every time he had practised, so he wanted to work as quickly as possible to allow for all and any mishaps that tended to happen under pressure.
He made, proved and rolled out his dough in record time and was now assembling the little rolls into the shape he wanted. He was shading the top with poppy and sesame seeds and stepped back for a moment to admire his handy work. He was in no way close to an artist, except for when it came to baking. If his canvas was starch and glucose, he might as well be Michelangelo.
He made one or two more adjustments before putting it in the oven for thirty minutes. That still gave him twenty minutes to spare, making this the fastest he had ever completed his challenge. Maybe the pressure had its benefits after all
“Oh fuck.” He heard Lily say from behind him.
“Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck.” She cried, her time getting more and more panicked.
“Lily?” Remus asked, whirling around in confusion. “What’s wrong?”
“I forgot to turn the oven on.” She whispered, her face pale.
“You… What?”
“I forgot to turn the oven on! Remus I’m screwed this won't heat up for at least ten minutes and I have fifty minutes of work left at least!
Remus wasn’t sure what overcame him in that moment, maybe some panicked curled hormones but suddenly he was in full disaster mode.
“Okay,” he muttered, opening his own oven and adding another wire rack. “Okay Lily, put yours in here with mine while your oven heats up. It’s not ideal, I know but it’ll get you started.”
“Remus Lupin.” Lily declared as she collected her tray and walked around her own bench to reach him. “You are my literal hero.”
She lifted herself up on her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek swiftly before putting her doe - shaped dough in the oven and racing back to her own workspace to turn hers on.
Remus let out a shaky breath as he sat down for a moment. It was such a simple mistake that could happen to any of them.  Remus vowed to himself to be extra vigilant from now on and to never assume he did anything on muscle memory. Here everything was strange and new and it could quite throw off your routine, especially if you’re used to working consistently in one particular venue.
“That, Mr Lupin, was quite the save.” Sirius commented, swooping in like he always did. Remus smiled weakly and ran his fingers through his hair. Just then Lily appeared again and took her bread out of the oven.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She cried as she dashed back to work, putting her bread in her own oven with a deafening clang.
“Thirty five minutes left!” Sirius called and Remus stood up cracking his knuckles. He could chat to Sirius later, right now? He still had a little work to do. He grabbed the little bit of extra dough he had set aside in the fridge and set to work.
“Mr Lupin, if you would please bring your challenge up to the table.” McGonagall called and even in his mild panic, Remus could still take a moment to appreciate the lovely lilt in her words.
He set his baking down on the table and stepped back to look at his work - a wolf, howling at a full moon.
“The moon detailing is quite clever Mr Lupin.” Dumbledore said and Remus sighed in relief. It had been the little bit of dough he had set aside - put in the oven later to account for it’s smaller size.
“It certainly looks excellent, but the question stands; how does it taste.
“Remus winced as they pulled apart his, frankly, perfect design and each took a bite. Dumbledore gave him a broad smile and Remus bit his lip, grinning.
“I think you’ll find we’re very pleased Mr Lupin. These truly are very good.”
Remus could actually pay attention to the rest of the assessments after that thrilling review. He watched Peter present his rat bread (side note - what in the world had possessed him to make food in the shape of a rat?), Lily displayed her doe which had turned out very well in the end and some guy even made an alpaca. Remus didn’t know that dude too well yet, but he thought his name was Benji.
They all sat once more on the stools lined up at the front of the tent while the judges made their decisions. James and Sirius regaled them all with stories from their childhood while they waited,
“And then what do you know?” James cried, his hands flying everywhere as he told the story. “I look up, and there’s Sirius, hanging out the second floor window with his trousers down around his ankles.”
The entire room burst out laughing, Remus was pretty sure there were tears streaming down his face.
“But what made you think that would be a good idea?” Remus wheezed, still unable to breathe properly for all his laughing, but desperate to get a look into teenage Sirius’ state of mind.
Sirius just shrugged. “It seemed like a good idea at the time.” He admitted sheepishly and that set everyone off into another round of deafening laughter, when the judges walked in and they all sobered quite quickly.
James and Sirius conferred with them quietly in the corner a moment before walking back over to the contestants.
“Today, I have the absolute pleasure of announcing our star baker.” Sirius said, looking around the room with a small smile. “Our star baker this week is…” Sirius scanned the crowd for a moment before his eyes landed on Remus. “Remus.”
Remus didn’t even move. He wasn’t even sure he could if he had wanted to. He had won star baker.
“Which leaves me with the awful job of announcing who’s leaving us today.” James said in a flat tone but Remus didn’t even hear or register that some guy Fabien was leaving. He was just another baker Remus didn’t even know that well. But he was star baker. Lily pulled him into a hug and held him tight. The room around him was filled with pats on the back and congratulations and Sirius looked him right in the eye and mouthed well done.
Remus was pretty sure he wanted to live in this moment forever.
“Remus, would you be alright calling your family on camera? We’d just like to capture their reaction.”
Remus nodded and rang his mom. She answered on the first ring. “Hi, Ma?” Guess what?”
“What is it love, how did your day go?”
“I won star baker.”
Marlene giggled behind the camera as Hope let out a series of delighted yells. Remus laughed along with her for a moment. “Okay mam, I’ve got to go finish my interview, but I’ll call you later, okay?”
He said his goodbyes, hung up the phone and turned back to the camera. “So Remus, what were you thinking throughout the challenges?”
“Well after the first one, I kept thinking I’m going home for sure. But obviously I recovered a bit.”
“A bit? Marlene chuckled. “From going home to star baker. I’d say you recovered quite a lot.”
Remus chatted with Marlene for a few more minutes before she sent him away, claiming she had taken up enough of his time. Just as he was beginning to leave, Sirius sidled up to him.
“Well, if it isn’t the brightest star.” Remus teased.
“I think that today,” Sirius countered, “That would be you.”
Remus blushed and looked down at his feet. “Want to walk back to the hotel?
Sirius smiled. “That sounds like a plan.”

happy fucking birthday, james
hi so i write sometimes and i wrote this when i was trying to get back into it - it's pretty inspired by All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89 on AO3 and i hope you enjoy it! (ao3)
(this is basically wolfstar angst)
CW: smoking, swearing, drinking
The music was deafening in the Gryffindor common room. The marauders did go all out on birthdays. But Remus wasn’t celebrating. Not exactly, anyway. He wasn’t out there celebrating with Mr James Potter, king of the quidditch field and all-time favourite birthday boy. No, he was sitting in his dorm, alone, cigarette pressed between his lips. Smoke enveloped him but he didn’t bother to open the windows, there was comfort in the feeling of being surrounded.
Thoughts were racing through his head. He tried his best to keep his emotions at bay but it was difficult as the tears pricked the back of his eyes. Remus squeezed the area between his eyes and stared up at the ceiling, trying hard to focus on the terrible rendition of Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy being sung outside in the common room. One voice was loudest: Sirius fucking Black.
“For the love of fuck…” Remus started pacing around the beds, hoping some movement would block out his thoughts. It was going well enough until a knock came at the door.
“Oi, Moony, you in there mate?” There was that voice again, hoarse now from screaming.
“Yeah, you need something?” Before Remus had time to prepare himself the door swung open and he was greeted with a rather sweaty Sirius. Remus’ breath got caught in his throat and the cigarette definitely didn’t help this. Sirius’ shirt was almost completely unbuttoned and his tie was loose around his neck. Remus went red when he realised he had been staring and looked away. But not before noticing the lipstick marks around his neck and chest. Of course, it’s Sirius.
“What you doing moping up here, man?” Sirius raised his eyebrows as he walked over to Remus.
“Fuck off, I’m not moping. Was just in desperate need of a fag.” Remus showed him the half-smoked cigarette.
“That’s your second one in about half an hour, what’s wrong?” What’s wrong? You’re what’s bloody wrong. Remus bit his tongue.
Sirius reached out, putting his hand on Remus’ shoulder, earning a sharp gasp from Remus. He raised his eyebrow at Sirius who didn’t seem very bothered by this reaction.
Remus didn’t know how to react in this situation. He just stared at Sirius, who really didn’t want to move his hand. Did he think this would make him talk about his problems?
“Look, Sirius, I appreciate the, uh, gesture, but I really am fine.” Remus awkwardly wiggled out of his grip and took a drag of the cigarette in his hand. Sirius gave him a look that screamed ‘stop lying to me’. Instead, he just asked for a smoke.
“You’re not going to stop, are you?” Sirius shook his head. Stubbornness really ran in the family.
Remus this time decided to open a window and stared outside as he smoked. The cold air was refreshing and also finally replaced the smokey air in the dorm. Remus tensed up as he felt Sirius behind him. He hated how close Sirius was to him. Hated his stupid eyes that he couldn’t stop staring at and that stupid hair he wished he could just run his hand through, those god awful hands. He hated it all. Or so he tried to tell himself.
“Rem, you’re staring.” Remus blinked away quickly while Sirius chuckled. He fucking chuckled.
“Right, sorry. Zoned out.” Remus rushed for an excuse.
“Hey, I do not blame you for staring.” Sirius winked at him jokingly, making Remus roll his eyes.
“You do that a lot, you know that right?” Remus’ eyes widened.
“What? Zone out? Yeah mate, I get fucking bored listening to you guys.”
“No. You stare, Remus.” Sirius was looking at him teasingly but Remus couldn’t understand what was going on in his mind
“I think you may have the wrong idea there Siri. Not everyone is in love with you.” That one made Sirius laugh.
“Excuse me, I have girls lining up begging for me to date them.” Remus felt that in his chest. Yeah, I guess I’m one of the people in that line.
Everyone at Hogwarts was in love with Sirius. Everyone at Hogwarts also knew about Sirius’ sex drive. Remus was honestly certain that Sirius and James fucked when they were bored. Remus had been with girls, though he was definitely a lot more secretive about it.
Remus was lost in his thoughts again, completely zoned out with the cigarette in his mouth while Sirius rambled on about god knows what.
“Lupin, have you ever kissed a guy?” Remus started choking on the smoke.
“What the fuck, Black?” Remus shot him a stare.
“I was just curious!” Sirius threw his hands up to defend himself, “I just remember you saying you had experience in areas we didn’t.”
Remus choked out a laugh and faced Sirius, “Yes, Pads, I have kissed a guy. A rather attractive one at that.” Sirius’ eyes widened. Shit.
“Oh… wow… okay. Right.” Remus couldn’t tell if he should laugh or stare him down.
“Look, Black, if you’re gonna throw a slur at me just get it over and done with. I promise I’ll laugh.” Remus took one last drag of his cigarette and put it out against the windowsill.
“I wasn’t gonna say anything bad, moony. Just wasn’t expecting that.” Sirius had a somewhat defensive tone. His eyes were darting around before he finally turned back to his cigarette.
“Riiiight…” Remus went to turn around but faced Sirius instead, “What’s the problem, Black?”
“Nothing! I swear!” Remus had knocked him out of his own trance this time.
“You’re doing the zoning out now.”
“Just thinking.”
“About.”
“Kissing you.” Remus’ eyes widened. What the fuck was happening tonight?
“Right, Sirius, how much have you had to drink tonight? I really don’t think you should be drinking anymore.” Remus this time did turn away and started walking towards his bed but was forced back by a pull on his wrist.
“Okay yes I’ve had a bit to drink, but I meant what I said.” Remus shook his head and pulled his arm away.
“Sirius, shut up. I beg of you.” What was this feeling? Remus was angry but he had no idea why he was angry. Sirius was drunk, if they kissed now he would laugh about it later and Remus would continue biting his tongue.
Before he could even think of anything else, Sirius’ lips were on his. Remus took a sharp breath in, breathing him in. He thought maybe he should fight, push him off. But that wasn’t his first thought, his first thought was to pull him in. He wanted to feel all of Sirius. When Remus’ hand reached Sirius’ waist he realised what he had done and practically threw Sirius off of him so he landed against the wall.
“Fucking hell Sirius. I need to take a breather.” Remus grabbed his pack and almost ran out of the dorm.
“Heyyyy, Remussss!” The drunken voice of James shouted after him but Remus just kept walking.
Fuck fuck fuck.
He walked out onto the grounds easily as he was quiet enough to be ignored by anyone around. He lit another cigarette and sat with his back to the wall. What the actual fuck had just happened.
Remus knew he liked Sirius. Hell, he’d been dreaming of the boy for a year now. But that was not how he expected that to go. He thought he could go the rest of his life ignoring how he felt about the Black boy but no, he just had to go and kiss him.
Did Sirius like him? Was that even a possibility? Sirius was known for his rather desperate love for women. But maybe there was a possibility. There was a spark of hope in Remus’ chest. Maybe this could be something he could do. And he was stupid enough to let that hope grow.
After what felt like an hour, though it was probably only half, Remus finally went back into the castle. His hands were bright red and he could see his breath in the air mixed with the smoke of the cigarette. His mind wandered occasionally to the Black boy and that kiss. He wanted to talk to Sirius. He wanted to know what the hell was going on in his mind. He couldn’t help but make up scenarios in his head like a 12-year-old, thinking about a happy ending for both of them.
That all shattered the minute he stepped foot into the common room. The music was still blasting and the room reeked of sweaty teenagers and alcohol. In the middle of the dance floor was Sirius. No, no, in the middle of the dance floor was Sirius practically having sex with this girl. He had his hands all over her and his lips locked with hers. Remus felt the light of hope in his chest slowly burn out. Sirius caught Remus’ eye and immediately froze. There was a sign of guilt in his eyes, regret.
But this was normal for Remus. He was stupid to get his hopes up. He should’ve learnt years ago that he really shouldn't do that.
He ignored the calls for him to join in the party, quietly declining, saying he really wasn’t feeling well. He stayed for maybe ten minutes, drinking whatever James put in front of him, all while ignoring the burning stare of Sirius which we could feel in the back of his neck.
After downing the last of his fire whiskey, Remus put an arm around James and wished him a happy birthday before stalking up to the dorm. He felt Sirius’ eyes on him as he walked across the room. As he walked up the stairs he heard steps behind him. Without turning he called out to the boy following him.
“Go back down Sirius. I want to sleep.” Sirius froze.
“Remus, I’m so sorry.”
“You were drunk, we can laugh about it tomorrow.” With that, Remus continued walking and went into the dorm.
He laughed at himself quietly as a tear rolled down his cheek. God, why am I crying? He couldn’t stop though. Through choked laughs he let the tears fall.
Happy fucking birthday, James.

Cute Wolfstar (HP) Part 2
Masterlist
Request form and prompt list
Remus opened his eyes, flinching as a jolt of pain traveled up his stomach when he tried to sit up. Easing back into the covers, he took in his surroundings. He was in the Hospital Wing as usual after his transformation.
The only thing different this time was the sleeping figure with long black hair in the chair near his bed. While he contemplated waking one of his best friends, and crush up, Sirius stirred and woke up. He took a moment, blinking the sleep out of his eyes as they landed on Remus.
Remus observed as a look of worry immediately came over Sirius’s features. He rushed over to the side of the olders' bed and shot a bunch of questions. “Are you fine? Does it hurt anywhere? Should I call Poppy?”
Remus gave a low chuckle but stopped as he felt the dull pain in his abdomen increase just a little. “I’m fine,” Remus said, giving Sirius a tight-lipped smile.
“You don’t look fine, I’m calling Poppy,” The smaller boy said as he rushed off towards a door at the other end of the room. Remus sighed and looked down at the bandages wrapped around his midsection. He could make out the tiny spots of blood seeping through the multiple layers.
He heard clicks on the floor signaling that Poppy was making her way over to his bed. She was carrying a tray with a few potions, and when she reached it, she placed down the tray on the bedside table.
She started asking questions to Remus, while said boy glared at the other one. Sirius shrunk under his gaze but kept quiet until Poppy was gone. “Why did you have to call her?” Remus asked Sirius.
“Because what if your injury is bad!? What if you’re in pain?! I can’t bear to see you like that!” Sirius retaliated, shocking the other boy. “Well, I’m fine, so you don’t need to worry about me,” Remus said, leaning on the backboard, folding his arms, and looking away from Sirius.
He didn’t want to feel like a burden to the others, so he suffered in silence. He had made the mistake of voicing this out to his best friends, not that he regretted it, but it slipped out before he was ready to tell everyone about his problems and insecurities.
Sirius softened and walked to the other side of the bed, into Remus’ eyesight. “You’re not a burden. We love you! We want to take care of you. We would do anything for you without having to ask, Remus,”
As his name tumbled out of the younger boys’ lips, Remus couldn’t help but look into his stormy grey eyes.
They got lost in each other's eyes, reading every emotion that flashed across them. Coughing and blushing, Sirius looked away. “How long have you been here?” Remus asked as Sirius handed him the vials of potions that Poppy had left for him to take.
“A few hours,” He replied. “Did you eat anything?” Remus asked, waiting for a reply from Sirius, but instead got one from his stomach. Both boys laughed at the timing and Sirius headed to get a few plates of food for the both of them.
Once Sirius was back, he pulled his chair closer to Remus’ bed and handed him the plate. Remus smiled, thanking him, and began to stuff the sandwiches into his mouth, just realizing how hungry he was.
He ended up choking and Sirius had to rub circles on his back to calm him down. Sirius handed Remus a glass of water, hand still on his back, supportingly.
After Remus gulped down some water, Sirius looked at him amusedly and started feeding him spoon by spoon. Once they were both done eating, Sirius cleaned the mess and sat back in his chair, “What would you do without me?” he said, laughing.
“Probably die,” Remus replied shortly, causing Sirius to abruptly stop laughing and shoot Remus a serious look. “You know how I feel about joking about those kinds of things,” He said, anger lacing his voice.
He hated when people talked about death because he did not want to think about how he would feel if the people closest to him died. That was one thing that no one would talk about around him, but it just slipped out, Remus hadn’t wanted to upset him.
After a while, Remus had fallen asleep again. Sirius sighed, looking at the boy. His head whipped around as the doors of the Hospital Wing opened with a bang. He saw his two other friends making a dramatic entrance as usual.
He shushed them as they made their way over to the bed, not wanting them to cause a ruckus and disturb Remus.
“So, how was your day?” Sirius asked James and Peter who had situated themselves in chairs on the other side of the bed. “Boring as usual!” Peter said. Laughing, James said “Well, most of the classes are just revision since the End-of-term exams are coming up, but we do have quite a bit of homework,”
James listed them down, counting each one off on his fingers, while Sirius rushed to jot all of this down on a spare paper that was lying next to him.
Once James and Peter left their presents (chocolate) for Remus, they left Sirius in peace to complete his work.
Sirius dashed up to his dorms to get all the books he would need to complete all the work the teachers kept piling up. He was glad that Remus hadn’t woken up while he was gone, he didn’t want Remus to feel alone.
Remus woke up a few hours later, to the sound of scribbling. He saw Sirius bent over a few books and parchment, scribbling furiously. Remus took a second to observe the younger boy's perfect features, scrunched up in concentration and confusion.
“Need help?” Remus asked, chuckling. Sirius’s head snapped up in shock and annoyance at the disturbance, then relaxed as he saw who it was.
“Um yeah...”
“Well, which homework are you doing?”
“History of Magic, we need to do an essay on the causes of the Goblin rebellions,”
“Oh, that should be easy!”
“For you maybe!”
“It would have been easy for you if you paid more attention during class,”
“Will you help me or not?”
“Say the magic word!”
“Fine! Please?”
“Ok, so what all causes have you written about till now?” Remus asked as Sirius brought his book over to the bed table.
While Remus explained all the points he should mention in the essay, he admired the way Remus looked even in a hospital bed, more exhausted than ever. He still looked perfect.
“Ok, so that’s all- Sirius? Sirius! Were you even paying attention this whole time?” Remus said, waving his hand in front of the other boy's face.
“Yeah, yeah, sorry,” He simply replied, getting back to work.
He tried getting his attention back to his work, but his thoughts kept drifting to the boy who was laying in front of him.
He looked up to see that Remus was staring at him, he just stared back.
He didn’t know if it was an illusion, but he thought he saw Remus’s eyes flicker down to his lips. They started moving in towards each other. Remus’s eyes fluttered close as he felt Sirius’s hot breath hit his face.
“Can I?” Sirius asked, gaining confidence. Remus just had to nod before he was tackled by Sirius, him now laying down, Sirius on top of him, connected by their lips. Sirius’s hands on both sides of his head, him clinging to the collar of Sirius’s robes.
A few seconds later, after that mesmerizing kiss, Sirius pulled back for air. “I have been waiting for 3 years to do that,” Remus said, making Sirius lightly chuckle.
Grinning, Remus lifted his head slightly to peck Sirius on the lips. They pulled away, flustered as they heard a snap.
Their heads turned to the Hospital Wing’s doors where James and Peter were laughing and holding a camera. Remus softly pushed Sirius off of him, embarrassed.
Sirius simply smiled, soaking the attention. “Oh, my Merlin! You guys finally kissed! I couldn’t handle the tension between you two anymore!” James said.
Sirius sat back on the bed and helped Remus sit up, who curled into the younger boy's chest. Sirius gladly wrapped his arms around Remus, smiling happily, at least his friends wouldn’t hate them being together.
A/N: This isn't exactly a continuation of the previous chapter, and it's a bit different from what I had originally imagined, but it turned out great!

you’re so obtuse but i love you anyway: au where sirius doesn’t go to azkaban, and james and lily don’t die, and sirius and remus work at hogwarts, in conjunction with the wolfstar nerds discord server.
sirius is chaperoning a hogsmeade weekend. he wears his leather jacket, emblazoned with padfoot across the back, and his favorite sex pistols jumper to the outing.
1.7k words of fluff
the sunshine streaming in to the room is a lie if you ask sirius. the warm glow of the morning dapples in through the windows, and casts the most glorious light on remus’s dirty blonde waves, and illuminates the splattering of caramel freckles on remus’s nose. it truly is a sight to behond, and if sirius didn’t feel so utterly cynical about the sun right now, he’d probably thanking merlin that he gets to see remus looking this beautiful and peaceful. but the sun is a liar.  april in scotland has no business pretending to be warm the way it does. the sun beaming down on the grass looks so fucking lovely that he shouldn’t need a coat, and yet the temperature is still a cool 45 degrees.
he’s lucky that he isn’t expected to dress with the formality does to teach, he’s lucky, because it means he can pull on the acid washed sex pistols jumper remus has been wearing around their quarters recently, that smells like him, to chaperone his third years at hogsmeade. he’s so grateful that he and remus are here, together, teaching. in their youth, they had never really grasped what life would be like beyond the war. he and james had discussed it once, but they never got further into the conversation then maybe we’ll be quidditch players. and puddlemere united didn’t want someone like him on the team. james didn’t want to go out for the trial when he had a new baby at home. so instead, sirius and remus had settled for a bit. they had a spell of muggle london, and they had loved every minute of it. they had relaxed into routines of going to clubs, going on dates, perfecting recipes, and living in domestic bliss. but eventually, that had come to an end, and they needed something to occupy their days. sirius was thankful that the war had ended, and that dumbledore had offered him a job at his alma mater, teaching defense against the dark arts, no less. it had always been a class he deemed useful, despite how close to home it hit for him. he and remus were back in the castle they had forged their relationship in, walking the same walls they walked in their youth. and now, he was off to watch a new generation of students do the same thing, taking their friends to hogsmeade and courting each other over a chocolate bar.
he thin fingers wrap around the soft fabric of the jumper, and the feeling of warmth, of a closeness to his lover, radiates through him from the contact. it makes his chest ache in the best way to have access to remus’s clothes like this, and to be able to wear them without fear. there had been so much to be afraid of, so many hurdles to overcome in this castle the first time. but the world was a different place, four short years ago when he graduated. he pulls the jumper over his head, and the smell of parchment, oak, and earth overwhelms him. it could make him cry tears of joy, if he thought too hard about it. he slips on his drainpipe jeans, and his chuck taylor trainers. remus had always been fond of them, and who was sirius to deny his boyfriend the simple pleasures in life. he puts on the kettle, as usual for his morning routine, and heads toward a mirror to style his hair. he’s finally gotten his inky strands to lay just right when he hears remus stirring in bed. the part of his mind that he thinks accounts for his wit forces a smug smile on his face, because he can’t help the way he immediately feels pride knowing when remus will wake up, given his routine. just on time.
when remus finally sits up in bed, the kettle is ready. so instead of returning empty handed, sirius waltzes back towards the four poster bed with to mugs in toe, one tea black with a heaping scoop of sugar, one with milk and honey in the perfect balance for his snobbish, tea drinker boyfriend. there’s a light smile on his face, and he hands off the beverage before he even has the time to greet remus with a sweet good morning moonbeam.
“cariad bore da” remus smiles, his eyes still hazy in his early morning sleepiness.
“morning, love.” sirius smiles, although he’d be a liar if he said he’d actually been told what those words meant. through context clues, he’d figured it out long ago. it’s the same way remus greets him every morning, with the same pet name he’d been given all those years ago in sixth year.
“you’re chaperone today, right?”  “yeah, ‘m right chuffed about it honestly.” “oh, i’m sure you are.” remus grins, because he knows that sirius “i’m super punk” black loves chaperoning the kids on hogsmeade weekends. he loves to impart any wisdom he has at zonko’s. he loves to come back with little surprises, like a new book or some chocolates for remus.
“so you’ll be back around dinner, then, yeah?”
“should be. i’ve got to shove off, if i don’t want minnie to have my arse for being late.”
sirius pulls remus into a kiss, and it’s so full of the love and peace they’ve made for themselves, right here, in this home. if sirius was being honest, he’s probably never been more at ease, even with the snivelling greasy git of snape roaming the halls with him. he pulls on his leather jacket and makes a move for the door.
“oi, sirius black! you’re really gonna walk out of here in that jacket, and my jumper, right now. that’s fucking unfair.”
“moony, i’ll be walking back in here in your jumper and this jacket in a couple of hours.” he laughs. he tosses his hair over his shoulder to make eye contact with remus as he reaches for the door, and he definitely doesn’t pretend not to notice the way remus gives him a once over with a love sick smile adorning his face.
–––––––––––
when sirius arrives in hogsmeade, he does as he’s supposed to. he keeps an eye on the kids, seating himself on a bench to keep track of who’s going in and out of zonkos. he’s already taken care of his errands in the small town for the day, a tiny package secured in the zipped pocket of his jacket, and a bar of chocolate for remus in his other pocket, patiently waiting for when he returns to their chambers in the evening. he doesn’t expect to see liz tuttle and penny haywood walking up to him, eyes wide and giggling over something. neither seemed like the pranking type, and most of the students knew that that was truly his specialty on these trips.
“professor black!” penny calls, and he looks up from his book to acknowledge them.
“alright girls?”
“we just had a question for you.” liz begins, her eyes fixed intently on his jacket. he isn’t exactly shocked, really, neither penny nor liz had ever asked him about it, but that didn’t mean plenty of other students hadn’t had inquiries about his proclivity for muggle fashion, or the fact that he never wore robes. both he and remus dressed much more like muggles than the majority of the hogwarts staff, and students were bound to have questions about muggle casual clothes.
“what’s a padfoot?” liz asks. she was clearly the bolder of the two, but penny was also a joy in his class.
“sorry– what?”
“padfoot? you’re always wearing that jacket, and it says padfoot across the back. what’s it mean?”
sirius can feel his lips curling into a smile, but he simply shakes his head. he couldn’t tell them it was his nickname. not when the map, which was still in the castle, clearly stated messr. padfoot on it. he could deny any connection to the map, should it come up, if no one knew it was his nickname.
“it’s a muggle joke, girls. don’t worry about it.”
“is that–” penny starts, but liz shoots her some kind of look that sirius has neither the time nor the energy to decode. “is that the jumper professor lupin wears all the time?”
that however, does get a reaction out of him. the young man can feel his cheeks going read at the question, because he really didn’t think these kids took so much stock of his and remus’s closet, and it was his jumper anyways, why shouldn’t he wear it?
“‘s a matter of fact, yeah, it is.”
“oh– you two must have been very good friends while you were at hogwarts if you share clothes.”
“yeah, friends.” sirius agrees, resigned to the fact that he knew remus didn’t want everyone talking about their relationship. sure, it had been four years since they attended hogwarts, but that didn’t mean the bigotry they had experienced no longer existed. and they were so happy here, it would be ridiculous to jeapordize it, if students’ parents found out about them.
––––––––––
when sirius returns for the evening, he’s in just as breezy of a mood as when he left. he’s got a shit eating grin on his face, because he’s overwhelmed with joy every time he spends a moment alone with remus. as soon as he’s back, he’s finding his place with his arms wrapped around remus, and his lips pressing gentle, loving kisses into his boyfriend’s hair.
“i got you something today.”
“you always get me something when you’re chaperoning.”
“if i want to spoil you moonshine, i’m going to.”
sirius pulls the small package out of one pocket, and the bar of chocolate out of the other. when remus’s hands pull the wrapper off of the smaller of the two boxes, and open what’s inside, the joy on his face is something that sirius is sure could rival any magic, or any god.
“just wanted to say i love you.” sirius whispers, watching as remus slips the modest silver band on his finger.
“i love you too.”

a wolfstar good omens au
because i LOVE the art of @maria-tries and have had this headcanon living rent-free in my head ever since i saw this
i.
Sirius is cool. When he walks, it’s with a swagger. He knows the right way to smirk to make strangers blush. He knows how to make his hair fall perfectly around his shoulders and catch the eye of every passerby. He knows how to wear his leather jacket so it fits him perfectly, no matter what he has on underneath. It comes with being a demon, after all.
(This is not entirely true. Most demons don’t pay attention to the way their hair falls or the perfect way to smirk. Sirius is the only demon who actually cares to learn these things. It’s true that every demon is capable of these things; most just don’t particularly want to, especially when they could be torturing idiotic humans instead.)
This makes him particularly good at temptation. Other things Sirius is good at include inventing devices and structures to lead humans onto the path to damnation (his more recent ones include Twitter and inauthentic poke bowl chains), raising tropical birds, and caring for his motorbike, a 1940 Harley-Davidson.
Things Sirius is apparently not good at include caring for children, given that he’s lost the fucking Antichrist.
“What do you mean you’ve lost him?” Remus hisses, and wow, this is the angriest Remus has ever looked, which isn’t very angry at all, to be honest, given that angels aren’t actually capable of being angry. To an outsider, he just looks a bit befuddled.
“You lost him too!”
“Yes, but you were the one who brought him to that hospital.”
“Satanic convent.”
“Is this really the time to be precise?”
“I mean, a lack of precision was what got us here,” and it looks like angels actually are capable of being angry, since Remus’s current blank stare is absolutely terrifying.
“Are you sure?” Remus paces around the grounds of Malfoy Manor, where the birthday-boy-who-is-apparently-not-the-Antichrist is laughing at the hired magician, a pompous narcissist named Gilderoy Lockhart, who’s just failed to pull a bunny rabbit out of his top hat. Sirius makes a mental note to use Lockhart to tempt more people into rage sometime; if this is how horribly arrogant he is at a child’s birthday party, he can’t wait to see the damage he could do on a date.
(Over the course of Gilderoy Lockhart’s short existence, he’s managed to seal the damnation of thirty individuals already. He would be a very good demon. Gilderoy Lockhart himself, of course, was hell-bound before he even reached his second year of university, by the force of his unfortunate habit of stealing the research of his fellow students. This, coincidentally, was also how he managed to get expelled from university.)
Multiple people would probably end up with black eyes at the end.
“Well, there’s no hellhound—”
“Don’t say that in front of the humans!”
“Oh, come off it, no one’s listening, everyone’s either getting drunk or throwing food at the magician—”
“Still!”
“There’s no dog here, and Bellatrix was just kind enough to inform me that the hellhound has arrived safely at the Antichrist’s home, so I’m pretty damn sure this is the wrong kid!”
“But how could we have lost him?” Remus looks like he’s going to either scream or cry, and neither is particularly appropriate for this occasion, even if Draco Malfoy’s birthday party is shaping up to be an unmitigated disaster even without the Antichrist Problem, given that the guests have begun throwing around chunks of the birthday cake topped with edible gold.
(Which would have been a bad idea even if Lockhart wasn’t a hopeless magician, given that no eleven-year-old’s palette is nuanced enough to appreciate the delicacies of edible gold. Alternatively, edible gold is never a good idea, as it is simply capitalism at its worst. The second is more likely.)
“I don’t know, but we have, so we better fucking do something about it,” Sirius says.
ii.
Doing something about it apparently means getting the hell out of Draco Malfoy’s disastrous eleventh birthday party and hunkering down in Remus’s bookstore to do research. Research means, in this case, Remus muttering furiously as he flips through dozens of prophecy books in hopes of finding something useful and Sirius annoying Remus as Remus mutters furiously. It’s very fun, annoying Remus. His angel isn’t very easily flustered, to be honest, which makes the pay-off even more worth it when he becomes flustered, in Sirius’s opinion.
(Remus’s cheeks go all red and his freckles become even more prominent. If Sirius was the type of demon who went around calling things adorable, he would call Remus adorable. As Sirius is not that kind of demon, thank you very much, he thinks of Remus, secretly, as delectable. Honestly, the two are fairly interchangeable.)
Over the course of his 6,000-year-plus tenure on Earth, he’s also discovered that there are many things that annoy Remus. These include, and are not limited to:
Flipping through one of his books loudly and sighing whenever possible, making sure to say “boring” in an audible tone;
Eating Remus’s chocolate and then leaving the wrappers everywhere for him to find;
Calling Remus “Moony-Moons” in a sickeningly sweet tone (a nickname acquired after an unfortunate incident wherein some superstitious residents of Edinburgh mistook the angel for a werewolf in the 16th century);
Taking the motorbike around the block near Remus’s bookshop, making sure to rev the engine very loudly every lap;
Humming “God Save The Queen” off-key, just loudly enough for Remus to hear. It’s doubly annoying, because he tips his chair back to creak on every off-beat.
Right now, he’s in the process of repeating the fifth option for the third time when Remus slams the book shut. For a moment, he thinks Remus is going to whisper-yell at him.
(Hot.)
Or maybe he’s going to kiss him.
(Even hotter.)
Instead, Remus simply stands up.
“Right. I think we need to find a book.”
“Remus, you have almost every book written in the past five centuries and then some in this bookshop.” This is helped by the fact that Remus keeps very odd hours, always opening late in the afternoon and closing early in the morning. This isn’t even to mention the week he takes off every month, without fail, which has helped spread the rumor, again, that Remus is a werewolf. Sirius has not mentioned the existence of this rumor to Remus, because he finds it hilarious. If Remus needed to actually make money, he would be exceptionally poor, given that the last time he sold a book was three weeks ago, and it was a two pound guide book of Paris.
Remus gives him a look. “Unfortunately, I don’t, actually, though that would be very nice. I’m missing Cassandra Trelawney’s Book of Strange and Mystical Prophecies.”
“Remus, all this prophecy bunk is rubbish. It’s just humans trying to scam dumber humans out of their money.” Sirius would know. He’s very good at creating ways for humans to scam dumber humans out of their money. He invented Juicero, after all.
“It’s not, actually,” Remus says. “Granted, a lot of the prophetic books are, especially those from the 19th century, but Cassandra Trelawney’s is exceptionally accurate.”
“Aren’t you the one always going on about ineffability? How can any books be written if everything is ineffable anyway?”
Remus sighs. His angel is exceptionally good at sighing. Secretly, Sirius likes to think that they’re a sign of affection.
(Actually, they are. Remus has a specific sigh for Sirius, which can best be translated as “you’re quite annoying, in all honesty, but for some reason, I’ve grown very attached to you and don’t know how I could bear to live without you at this point.”)
“The Plan may be ineffable, but Cassandra Trelawney was a true seer. This is just a shot in the dark, honestly, but if we could get our hands on it, it might help us find out who the Antichrist actually is.”
“And then what do we do?” Sirius asks. “What, we find this Antichrist, who’s probably been influenced by Downstairs already, if he has the hellhound, and what? We talk to him about how this world is actually very nice, so please don’t end it, please? You really think that’s going to work? This is the literal spawn of Satan, Remus. It’s not just another idiotic eleven-year-old. And what, do you think that prophecy book is just going to hold all the answers? That it’ll give a perfect description of the Antichrist and his exact address, and we’ll just find him?”
“Well, what else can we do?” And there’s that Remus flush. Delectable, indeed.
“Run away with me,” Sirius decides suddenly. Remus gives him an incredulous look.
“To where?” he scoffs. “Sirius, if we can’t find the Antichrist, all of this will be gone.”
And that hurts, it does, because Sirius loves Earth, loves everything about it. He loves the solidity of the ground under his motorbike, loves the wine (he has taste, sue him), loves London especially, all the cafes where he can watch Remus sip tea and fawn over chocolate pastries. But if they find the Antichrist, and everything goes south anyway, because that’s what will probably happen, in any case—
“What if we find him and it’s gone anyway? Remus, if we fuck this up—and given how solidly we managed to fuck up taking care of the right Antichrist—one of us will probably be dead in the next month.” I can’t lose you, he doesn’t say, because he doesn’t know what he would do if Remus doesn’t feel the same way. “Remus, we can go—we can go to fuck, I don’t know, Alpha Centauri. Or anywhere else. You read all those books about exploring the galaxy, well, we could do that.”
Because Remus is far more principled than Sirius, for a moment, he seems to be gazing into space, and then he just sighs.
(In that moment, Remus thought about running away with Sirius to some distant galaxy, where they could be something besides an angel and a demon, something unnameable and perfect in that unnameability, and it was all well and good for that moment, but then he thought about all the families that would be torn apart, all of the people who hadn’t done anything wrong at all, really, and would be condemned for simply happening to exist at the wrong time, and he knew he couldn’t.)
“We can’t. We just—we need to find him, and we can go from there. Look, has anything terrible happened yet?”
“It could be,” Sirius says sullenly. “And something terrible is always happening.”
“More terrible than usual, I mean. Earthquakes across the world, volcanic eruptions, Martians destroying London—and don’t give me that look, we’ll know if that happens.”
“Not yet,” Sirius has to admit.
“Well, there you have it. We can save him.”
“Oh, so because he’s not currently destroying the world, he’s suddenly not the Antichrist anymore?”
“I never said that,” Remus replies mildly. “I’m saying that he’s a child, even if he’s the Antichrist, and he can’t be expected to be a soldier in a war he doesn’t even know he signed up for.”
“You and your fucking logic. Where are we even going to find this book of horrible prophecies?”
“I may have an idea,” Remus says.
(This idea, it must be said, is less of a fully-formed idea and more of an inkling. In short, it is not a very good idea.)
will i ever write more of this? who knows. maybe? i just Love the idea of sirius as crowley and remus as aziraphale so very much.
(harry’s the antichrist, of course. but a good one!)
