Porsche dragged Kinn out to Ayutthaya to enjoy the water fight for the first time ever. The bodyguards are panicking about it, Kinn got super competitive about it at first before Chay simply dumped a bucket over his head, and Tankhun somehow wound up on an elephant.

Hua Cheng’s voice nearly startled He Xuan as he froze , mid-shuffling the food around. Portioning. Rationing. Although this time he hadn’t touched anything , leaving two portions for the future. He’d just been filling the time he normally ate before going back to work. Hua Cheng had wandered off somewhere , He Xuan hadn’t bother to chase after him.

“ It’s not your problem to deal with. “ His face was carefully blank , but he tugged a bit at the hoodie sleeves , as if they would further hide the recent bruises underneath from Hua Cheng’s intense gaze. Hua Cheng doesn’t know that. He can’t. How would he ? Except he’s Hua Cheng , who seems to know far too much than he should. He still didn’t know much about the man despite everything. Only that he was filthy rich , but that wasn’t exactly hidden once they’d started to interact more.

Notice what ? His brain darted from potential subject to potential subject. His decrease in eating ? That he rationed his food ? His debt ? His gift in academics and old writings ? Did he somehow remember his wretched apartment from the illness so many weeks ago ? Was it something more minor ? Something like the crumbled and disregarded writings from their trip he’d worked on when he thought Hua Cheng was asleep ? His habit of doing certain things ? That he seemed more unfocused and exhausted ? If it was something minor , he’d just damned himself. It wouldn’t be for the first time. But the response could still work. Maybe. He Xuan stared at the tank in front of him with the same expression that often began to rise when he was shutting down.

“ Just . . . leave it be. “

I'm very glad I rolled a tiefling because I wanted to try that cool scale effect they did in BG3. Unfortunately I didn't get the time to actually futz around and figure out how I wanted to draw it. I still like the design though!
