HELLOOO!! Im in LOVE with all your Chaggie (and Wenclair obv-) art!! I was wondering if youd be up to share your thoughts on the other hazbin characters? Simply cuz Im very curious and youve been a favourite content creator of mine for a while whose opinions and takes on different things i value A LOT! So id love to hear your thoughts on the rest of the main cast(and more if youre up to it hahha)!

Hmmmmm I dont particularly hate them, but I have some opinions that people might not like and I'm aware there's a lot of uh sensitive people in this fandom, so I never said them unprompted

But since you asked!

Alastor

Let's start with the infamous Alastor. I think he's a very entertaining character! His horde of simps annoy tf outta me when they're being misogynistic and homophobic towards Chaggie and Vaggie, but I quite liked him when I make myself forget certain parts of the fandom. He's funny and conniving and intriguing. The fact that he apparently sold his soul is super interesting to me. I'm on board with the people theorizing that he sold his soul to Lilith. I bet he's cozying up with Charlie so that he can use it to break his contract somehow. Feel like he also used the deal with (presumably) Lilith so that he could be strong enough to be the overlord he became.

With that being said, I'm really surprised with the direction they took with him. You'd think that with him being a favorite of the showrunner and the fandom, he would probably be portrayed as the coolest mf in hell. But I really like that it isn't really the case within the show. Certain denizens dont even know him and older overlords like Zestial seems to scare him and Carmilla just dgaf about him. Hell, Alastor's loss to Adam was a lil embarrassing ngl. Like. I know he's one of the oldest human souls and that's why he's powerful but... It's Adam.

Something about him that I noticed is that he seems to be more bark than bite. In particular in his duet with Lucifer, initially Lucifer had the upper hand because he's objectively more powerful, humiliating Alastor with his angel magic, but what Alastor used to his advantage was his words and charisma, as can be expected of a radio host. He's always taunting his enemies, but does it actually make him stronger than them? He "won" that duet with Vox but Valentino said Alastor only"almost beat" him when they had an actual fight. He ruffled Lucifer's feathers but at the end of the day Lucifer is still leagues more powerful than him. He talked big when he was fighting Adam but he almost died and had a breakdown over it.

He's really a lot less "cool" than I expected the show would have him be portrayed as. Kinda pathetic honestly, how he's so insecure and angry whenever he isn't the strongest guy in the room. And i actually really like that! He reminds me a lot of Rumplestilstkin from Once Upon a Time.

Something I kinda hesitate to say tho is... I dont want him redeemed. I dont want him to actually care about the hotel crew and change his ways. I like him as the fucked up man he is and really want to see how fucked up he can be, just so that if he ends up being the huge antagonist, his downfall would be all the more satisfying. Like yunno that moment when Light/Kira was finally defeated? I wanna feel that again.

Angel Dust

I love him! We found his dialogue a lil annoying at first in ep 1 but the writers did a lot better in ep 2. He's a neat guy. His character gives interesting implications for me as to what makes a person a sinner in this show. While you have people like Alastor who obviously ended up where they did because a cannibal murderer, I get the feeling Angel ended up in hell because he was abusing his own body, which is a sad thing to think. If I remember right from my own catholic upbringing, abusing the body is considered a sin because your body is a temple. To think that Angel could be in hell for poisoning himself, not for harming others, is just sad man. I look forward to seeing more of his journey.

I'm not touching on how his SA was tackled btw. While I'm a victim of sexual assault myself, what i experienced was far from what Angel does on a REGULAR basis,so I don't feel like i have any personal or professional right to say anything about it. Not every victim's case is universal anyways. All I can say is, his line about purposefully damaging himself so he could be broken enough to no longer be Valentino's "favorite toy" hit me harder than I ever expected this show to.

Husk

Confession: I... I dont feel all that attached to Husk at all, I am so sorry Husk stans 😭

Okok that feels so mean to say I'm so sorry. I actually hesitated to say anything because I dont want to hurt people's feelings. But since you guys are asking and I dont like not being genuine, I'm telling the truth.

A lot of my feelings about Husk is heavily affected by the fandom anyways to be perfectly fair. Why? Because a lot of criticisms against Vaggie is easily applicable to Husk, maybe even more so, and yet I dont see even the same level of hate towards him that Vaggie received because his chemistry with Angel is so much better than Chaggie... Apparently...

I just dont see Husk as a character outside of being a plot device for Angel's development yunno? I get it, he isn't a main character like the main 4 are(Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, and Angel), i just find it hard to well and truly like him because of the fandom's double standards. When we found out someone was gonna die in the finale, my brother and I actually thought it was gonna be him because he doesn't have a big enough role to play in the plot to be a HUGE loss, but has a significant enough connection to a main character to have an EFFECT. He very much just felt like the love interest for Angel and nothing else. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing, but is frustrating when i see sooo many people label Vaggie as such(when she isnt!) and hate her SO MUCH for it.

I wanna see more of him tho I really do. Like the man used to be an overlord. He said he wanted to find someone who could relate to "the gruesome ways in which he's damaged" but what does that even mean? Yes i know about the castration but aside from that what suffering is Alastor putting him thru when all he has to do is be a bartender rn? There must be more and I wanna see it and finally feel for him.

Nifty

I love her a lot. That's it. The character ever. Her gremlin energy reminded me so much of Peridot, it's great. Kimiko Glenn did a fantastic job as the comic relief character and I hope she gets her own song next season. Her basically being everyone's little sister was kinda adorable even tho she's probably the scariest person in that hotel next to Alastor. I hope she gets to stab Valentino next. Just kill that MOTHerfucker

“Y/n, where are you?” Benny asked as he built a house for the two of you.

“I’m on the other side of the hill.”

“Why are you so far away? It’s gonna be dark soon.”

“This side has more flowers.” He looked at your screen, and sure enough, you were picking flowers in a field. “The house has to be pretty.”

“Y/n, I dunno how to make the house look like you.” Benny pinched your side with his teasing and you giggled, squirming around in his lap. He kissed your temple before going in to start putting structures inside the house. “Now get over here before I have to go get you.”

Reluctantly, you left the field and made your way to the house. Making sure to close the door behind you, you ventured inside and found Benny’s character in the bedroom.

“Aww! You put the beds next to each other.”

Rory

You immediately spotted your boyfriend and your friends by your locker when you got to school. Rory seemed to be going off on some tangent, and it must’ve been going on too long because the others looked like they were about to murder him or themselves. To spare your friends, you walked fast to meet them. Rory sensed you before you could speak, turning to look at you with vampire swiftness.

“Y/n!” He looked at you like a puppy who hadn’t seen its owner in hours. When you were close enough, he peppered your face in kisses, much to the group’s disgust.

“Hey, Rory.” You laughed when he eased up on the affection, moving to greet everyone else. “Hey, guys.” They replied with their own greetings while you opened your locker. With each book you took out, Rory immediately took it from you without saying a word. “Rory, baby, you don’t have to.”

“Oh, but I insist, honeybunch.” The warning bell rang, and everyone dispersed. Rory walked you to your first period, something he did every day without fail.

“Okay, you better go. I don’t want you to be late.”

“Don’t worry, sweet thing. That’s what superspeed is for.”

“Superspeed you shouldn’t be using in public.” You took your books from Rory and gave him a kiss to tide him over for the next hour. “See you after class?”

“Always, baby.”

Ethan

You and Ethan were in line at some fast food place, all he could afford. You would’ve offered to help pay but knew attempts would be futile. As nice as Ethan was, he was also stubborn. Soon it was your turn to order, and you didn’t even speak, Ethan relaying your regular order perfectly, down to what sauce you wanted. He then let you lead him to whatever booth you wanted.

“You know, I don’t mind paying one of these times.” You commented before taking a sip of your drink. Ethan shook his head, dismissing the thought.

“Y/n, for the thousandth time, it’s fine. I really don’t mind.”

“If you insist.”

“I do.” Your boyfriend grinned, reaching to take your hand. He looked down, watching his thumb rub back and forth over the back of your hand. You saw a slight smirk and knew what was coming. “I just had a vision.”

“Oh really?” You bit back a laugh, flipping your hand over to interlock your fingers. “What happened in this vision of yours?”

“Well, first of all, the food is very delicious.”

“Oh, good.”

“And second, I ask you something very important.” This piqued your interest very much.

“I think you should ask me now.”

“Sorry, babe, I ask you after we get our food.” As if waiting for the cue, your order number was called. Ethan grinned, kissing your hand as he stood from the booth seat. He left, and when he returned with a tray of food, you were impatient.

“Okay, ask me the question. I wanna know.”

“Okay, okay.” Ethan distributed the food between the two of you before looking at you expectantly. “Who gave you the right to be so pretty?”

“Oh my God, Ethan.”

The Show Goes On — Berial (AFK Journey) x gn! reader

summery: you find yourself in the clutches of a jester who just wanted to have some fun. (un)fortunately for you, you seemed to have peaked his interest.

tw: uhhh Berial straight up kidnaps reader 💀 (this is not a yandere thing tho. Just crazy people shit). mentions of death/dying.

Master List

The moon shone brightly over the town, casting dark shadows around every corner. Lights dimly lit up the main streets, guiding you on your way home. You had decided to cut through an alley, something that you typically did to cut your travel short. Yet, as soon as you stepped foot into the dark alley only being lit up by the moon, you heard bells chime behind you. You paused, heart accelerating.

There were rumors of a Hypogen monster that lurked in the shadows. That if you heard bells to not look behind you or you would be doomed. How the screams of its victims were silenced before they could even let out a peep. You thought they were tales parents told to keep their kids from sneaking out at night, but at the moment it felt all too real. Taking in a deep breath, you tried to regain your composure, it was a silly rumor, but the way your hair stood on end had you stay cautious.

You continued walking, trying to ignore the giggles that now accompanied the jingles. Your head twitched, instinct begging you to just take a peak at what was making noise, but you forced your head to stay forward. Your pace grew faster, as the end of the alley came into view. Every fiber in your bones told you you’d be safer in the light (silly humans always thought that).

Just as you were about to step foot out of the alley, relief briefly flowed through you, only for that hope to be snatched just as quickly. Dark glove clad hands tugged you back by your shoulders, that giggling voice now right next to your ear. You couldn’t stop the shriek that tore from your lips as an inky dark face came into view. It donned a jagged grin, you could barely comprehend what you were currently witnessing. It had no lips, its jagged mouth reminding you of a jack-o-lantern, except jack-o-lanterns were meant to ward off evil. It seemed to lack any eyes, as there were no pupils or iris’, just pure white that was tinted purple.

Its giggles turned into full blown laughter as it continued to drag you back into the inky blackness. You struggled, unsure what it wanted with you, but clearly it was nothing good. Your stomach dropped when you were suddenly picked up and were flying. You ceased your struggling, suddenly very aware that the hypogean could easily drop you to your demise. That seemed to amuse it all the more as its impossibly wide grin widened.

Then, like it hadn’t just kidnapped you, set you down on your now wobbly legs. You placed your weight on a nearby wall, slowly taking in your surroundings. It wasn’t Esperia, that was for sure, which made your blood run cold. The two of you were in an area that you could only describe to look like a void. Dark, purple tinted clouds curled in the distance, the only ground being the weird estate like structure you were currently in. It hurt your mind wondering just how this place existed, and the hypogean seemed all too pleased by your expression.

“You are tonight's winner!” The being exclaimed in a flourish. It twirled before falling into a dramatic bow, but instead of just taking off its hat, it took off its entire head. You blinked, bewildered as its eyes blinked up at you. It paused, as if waiting for you to clap, and you couldn’t hold the laughter that flew past your lips in surprise. The entire situation was absurd, and if you didn’t laugh you might actually cry.

Your reactions seemed to make the entity even more jolly as it swiftly put its head on backwards. Only to twist it into the correct position, causing you to chuckle once more. It seemed to thrive on your ‘enjoyment’ (you didn’t find much joy in this situation) as it was more enthusiastic than before.

“I knew you would be an interesting human,” It preened, every movement exaggerated as if to entertain. “As tonight’s winner, your prize is to witness a show put on by the great Berial himself!” The bells on his uniform chimed gently as he floated up, arms wide open along with his wings.

You watched with caution, unsure of what was to become of you. Just what did Hypogeans find entertaining? Didn’t they enjoy the anguish of people? Spilling blood and finding joy in tears? It clearly found joy in your fear earlier, but strangely he seemed to enjoy your amusement as well. What would happen to you after the ‘show’? Is that when he would dispose of you? Perhaps you were the last act, to be messed with until you could no longer cry nor bleed.

“Now take a seat and let the show begin!” Berial (you assumed) exclaimed, whisking you away into a room that held a stage. One lone seat laid before it, and the jester gently pushed you into it.

Every act had you on the edge of your seat. He would take a classic magician trick and have some dark twist. It took out a magician's wand, and with a flourish, it turned into a bouquet. You hadn’t seen magicians before, your only exposure being that from books, so it was all new to you. You merely worked at a tavern, hence why you were walking home so late in the first place. So at first, when he presented you the bouquet, you had forgotten for a split second that this was a hypogean you were dealing with, stranded in the middle of the definition of nowhere. Hesitantly you reached for the bouquet, the flowers were breathtakingly beautiful, and when your fingers wrapped around the base, bugs started to crawl out of the flowers. You screamed out of surprise, dropping the flowers and pushing yourself as far as you could into the surprisingly comfortable chair.

Berial’s laugh rang out above you as you tried to steady your breathing. Once again it found your fear hilarious, and you halfheartedly glared. He laughed so hard his head rolled off his head, and you watched as it rolled past you, descending into an inky shadow. Its glowing eyes seemed to be seared into your eyelids as you swore you could still see the glow after you blinked. Your attention turned back to Berial’s body as it furiously patted where it’s head once hovered (you noticed it never fully connected with the rest of his body).

You watched curiously as his hat appeared in one of his hands. He reached into his hat, pulling out miscellaneous items. Your amusement grew as the items grew to be more ridiculous. You lost it when it pulled out a gleamtail, the squirrel-like animal looking around confused, your gentle laugh filling the silence. That seemed to be the goal of that act, as he finally pulled his own head out of his hat, plopping both back where they belonged. He bowed again, and this time you did clap, a small grin tugging at your lips. The longer you watched, the more comfortable you became, and the less scary the entity before you seemed. Its acts grew more and more ridiculous, with a scare or two in between.

Yet every show must come to an end. Berial was bowing once again after cutting a shadow creature in half and pretended to have lost its lower half. You clapped, finding yourself enjoying the company of such a strange being, only for the curtains to finally close. The show had been going on for so long that you forgot that there was going to be an end. You felt yourself tense once more, unsure what was going to happen next. Was this it? Were you going to die? He had all his fun and now it was time to get rid of you. You anxiously stayed in your seat, eyes scanning your surroundings. The grandiose room was dark, the lights that lit up the stage were gone and it was hard for you to see much of anything.

“Boo!” Berial popped out suddenly in front of you. You flinched back, his long nose nearly poking your own. His glowing eyes and mouth were the only thing lighting up your surroundings. Giggling lightly, it pulled away, the rest of his body blending in with the darkness.

“You are such a fun human,” It giggled, hands holding its face in what seemed to be fake adoration. “I’m tempted to keep you around.” This seemed to be your way out. Even if you actually had fun, you didn’t want to stick around for too long. Hopefully you could convince him to let you go.

“W-wouldn’t it be more fun to bring me back to Esperia?” You asked, feeling a bit intimidated with his eyes solely on you. “To try and catch me off guard?”

“My, and you’re so smart for a human,” Berial clapped. “Hide and seek does sound fun.” Before you could fully comprehend what he just said, you picked you up from your seat again. He flew you both back where you came, and you had to squint as the sun shone overhead.

…

That was how you found yourself with a Hypogean popping out at you when you’d least suspect it. It was weird, as you thought he’d lose interest in you the second he was gone, but he continued to surprise you. Sometimes as you’d walk to work you’d feel like something was watching you from the shadows, and now you had a reason to worry.

Yet it never seemed like Berial actually meant you any harm. Its giggles trailed after you warmly, its scares becoming more playful than scary, sometimes it would even sweep you into an impromptu dance to a song only it could hear. You found yourself looking forward to your next meeting, eyes trailing to the shadows, watching for any hint of a disturbance within.

Your coworkers had started to avoid you when they could. The sound of bells that used to be associated with the night had now started to be associated with you. Quickly you found yourself to be ostracized, people whispering about you just out of hearing range. You started to feel comforted in the jesters presence. He never failed to cheer you up (or scare you), and he found himself spending more time with you as well.

Typically Berial found people boring. They always reacted the same. Scream, cry, plead for their life. That wasn’t fun. And although his perception of fun was a bit…morbid, he couldn’t help but find you interesting. He hadn’t met anyone who actually laughed at his jokes, who didn’t scream when he tipped not just his hat but his entire head. You were a strange and fascinating human, and Berial found himself wanting to spend more and more time with you, seeing if he could make you pull an expression he hasn’t seen before.

He found himself growing fond of you, something he didn’t think he could even feel! How strange you were for pulling these feelings out of him. It wanted more, its hunger insatiable, wanting to explore those odd feelings. The way it felt warm and fluttery at your laugh, or how its nonexistent heart jumped at any contact with you. Oh, and the way your eyes lit up when it would imitate you, and how silly you were when you would play back. No one had ever tried to entertain the entertainer before!

That was how you found yourself in your current situation. The jester weighed you down as it laid its head in your lap. It made you slightly curious if you could pluck his head up just as he can to himself, but you felt it might be a bit rude if you tried (or maybe he’d like that, it was hard to tell). Instead, you found yourself brushing your fingers through his hair, his top hat resting on top of your own head. He seemed to preen under your touch, his jagged smile as wide as ever, he looked like the cat that got the cream. His tail had wrapped around your waist, and you were slightly curious why he seemed to be so affectionate. He was already odd for a Hypogean, but this was just adding to it.

“Is something the matter?” You asked, fingers trailing down to his dark skin. You half expected your hands to ghost through him as his skin seemed to blend in with the shadows.

“Never been better,” It said with a content sigh. You felt yourself heat up at the implication. Was it really so happy to be in your presence? Receiving your affection? You felt even warmer when it nuzzled its face closer to your hands. “What do you humans call this feeling again? Love?” You spluttered, flabbergasted at what just transpired. Love? Is it serious? Can a Hypogean even love? And a human no less.

“H-huh?” You asked, eyes wide as you stared down at it.

Suddenly, he broke out laughing and you felt your heart clench, “I’ve never seen you look like that before! Oh the hilarity!” Of course he doesn’t love you, he’s messing with you. He’s trying to get a rise out of you. And suddenly you found yourself wanting to leave. No longer did he seem warm like you had thought, but instead the cold monster he truly was. You shuffled, trying to push him off of you, but he stayed firm in his place. For someone so bouncy and light looking, he really could be heavy when he wanted.

“Now now,” Berial continued to giggle lightly. “No need for the dramatics. Do I seem like someone who’d tell such jokes?” You only raised an eyebrow and he broke out in laughter once again. “Ah I suppose you have a point, dear. But truely, I would not joke about such things with you.” You wearily watched him as he sat up and turned to fully face you. Lifting up his hands, he gently grabbed your cheeks and squished them, causing you to send him a lighthearted glare.

“You are a strange human indeed,” He muttered, and a strange seriousness filled his tone. “What do you say, human. Do you feel the same?” Once again you felt your guard rise, unsure if this was another of his jokes or if he genuinely meant what he said. Although his smile seemed permanently imprinted into his features, the ends of his mouth looked softer, smaller.

“Maybe,” You muttered to the best of your ability as his hands continued to squish his cheeks, your eyes couldn’t seem to look away no matter how hard you tried.

“Then I must turn that maybe into definitely!” Berial exclaimed, jumping up with a flourish.

“How are you going to do that?” You asked wearily.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you.” And with that, he disappeared with a wink.

the weight of my emotions had been suffocating me for too long, i couldn't bear the burden any longer and finally decided to do it; to confess my feelings. the mere thought of it sent shivers down my spine. my stomach was in knots, and i couldn't tell if the sensation was caused by a swarm of butterflies or my organs colliding against each other. it's a nerve-wracking experience, but i hoped that it would be worth it in the end.

my feet led me to his building. hopefully, his roommate won't be there. i can't imagine the scene and i'm almost sure i would run away if Doyoung opened the door.

i have already smoked three cigarettes in the last 15 minutes.

my heart was pounding so hard that i could feel it in my throat as I looked up at the darkened building in front of me. the streetlights cast a golden glow, painting the surrounding area in a sickly yellow hue. i squinted, trying to make out any signs of life or activity in his apartment, but all i could see was darkness. i know it's 9pm, but come on, don't tell me he's sleeping.

hoping that he is not asleep, i throw away my cigarette and head towards the main entrance. i climb the stairs one by one, my brain emptying little by little with each step. i thought of using the elevator, but i'm almost convinced it would fill the emptiness in my head since there was no music playing in there.

as i walked down the hallway, only hearing the sound of my footsteps echoing on the walls, the nerves in my stomach churned. before i knew it, i was standing in front of his door. my hand trembled slightly as it rose to knock, but i managed to keep it steady. come on y/n.

i knocked my knuckles against the wood apprehensively, but there was no answer. after a few moments of hesitation, i decided to ring the doorbell, hoping that he would hear it and come to the door. i pressed the button lightly, waiting anxiously for a response. and then i realised. he's probably going to open the door, and after that, there is no going back.

i feel like time is dragging on and minutes feel like hours. i even consider turning back, he's probably sleeping or just not there.

as i breathe out and adjust my jacket, the door cracks open, and the apartment is engulfed in darkness. the light from the corridor reveals a slightly disheveled Taeyong, with swollen eyes, indicating that he was probably sleeping. i can't help but think how beautiful he looks.

"y/n? what are you doing here at this hour?" he said in a voice slightly broken by tiredness.

my heart accelerates. "come on, it's not that late, were you sleeping? did i wake you up?"

i swallow hard, my own thoughts getting stuck in my throat. i feel like a thousand waves of feelings are overflowing my brain. “i have something to tell you but it can wait until tomorrow if you're sleep-..”

what am i even saying? i got up from my comfortable bed, walked over here, and woke him up to tell him that it could wait until tomorrow? love is making me act up for real.

"you've already woken me up, so come in." he smiles. that cute smile. that damn smile.

i come in and put my jacket next to the sofa. Taeyong turns on the little light next to the tv, scratching his head right after, not hiding the loud yawn that escapes from his lips. his t-shirt and shorts whose colours are matched as usual, his lips pouting slightly, his small eyes. i'm down bad.

“tell me everything, do you want something to drink?”

i nod. "it'll be fine ! it won't last long... i..."

all of a sudden, i feel like my saliva is stuck, and i almost choke. Taeyong shoots me a concerned look. "hey, y/n, are you okay? i'm really worried. i feel like you're about to confess to me that you've committed a crime, and i have to help you cover it up." he chuckles.

i take a deep breath and shake my head. my hands are folded together and i'm playing with my thumb anxiously. i stare at my socks as if they could magically give me courage. the reason why i want to confess my feelings to him is because i've grown tired of constantly doubting myself. since this summer - and now that we're in winter - i've been thinking about him non-stop. his smile, his voice, the way he could talk about his fishes all day, or his new shoes and hats, and the way he laughs - everything about him makes me madly in love.

because if he rejects me, i can finally move on.

"Taeyong, i'll get straight to the point. i like you. i have had feelings for you since this summer. i fell in love with you, even though the word seems strong to me and i almost never use it. but that's the case. i know that coming to your place at this hour to tell you this is crazy, but i didn't really think about it that much and just followed my gut. gosh, it sounds so lame..." i smack my forehead, closing my eyes.

all my limbs begin to tremble.

a long silence settles in.

and my breathing jerks.

i keep my eyes closed anxiously.

"so, you... like me?"

his voice echoes softly in the room. i nod slowly, still unable to look him in the eyes.

all i hear is a scoff, followed by his cute laugh. i can't tell if he's genuinely laughing so hard that air gets stuck in his throat or if he's suffocating.

"i was planning on telling you on tuesday after class that i like you." he said with an amused voice.

my eyes widen this time.

"you what ?..."

"i like you."

he smiles.

alastor edition

-a musical number of the cast trying to convince alastor that modern Technology can be good and ends up working a little to well (they regret it when alastor gets a chainsaw)

-ALASTOR 👏WITH👏 A 👏TINY👏 FLUFFY👏 TAIL

-they NEED to have a moment where a car is going insanely fast at all the cast and alastor is frozen like deer in the headlights (the joke is RIGHT. THERE.)

-everyone having the ace-dar for alistor but alastor being clueless

-with that being said; alastor having fans of his show being para-socially inappropriate with him and even raiding the hotel because they now know he is there, and even tho he isn't threatened by them he is absolutely uncomfortable, so the cast try to tell him what being ace means so that he can know how to communicate it and why its making him uncomfortable so that he can clearly tell them why its useless to simp for him... but the problem is, alastor doesnt want to learn what orientations are because he thinks its just "part of the things associated with the work of a specific fluffy spider"because its in the only context he has ever heard anything regarding the topic

first of all, thank you!! i'm going through a bit of a rough patch rn with anything concerning my writing, so this meant a lot.

so, let's see.

Naruto:

it'd take him an eternity to realize that you harbour feelings for him. [i'm talking literal months of heavy blushing and stammering from your end whenever he'd do something that'd turn you flustered.]

despite being awfully oblivious, he still somehow manages to constantly invade your personal space without actually meaning to.

he turns awkward around you as soon as he finds out, though - especially if he likes you back.

bashful grins, blushing, constantly rubbing the back of his neck and fixing the collar of his t-shirt - he does it all, and he does it obviously so.

also sweats a lot and becomes profoundly tense and irked about the silliest of things, like you not wearing a bra underneath your t-shirt, even though you're doing nothing but chilling at home. you've tried to explain to him that you get uncomfortable if you wear one for longer periods of time, but he still gets oddly annoyed about it.

starts keeping his distance, especially in the evenings. the door to his bedroom ends up being shut all the way [you can even hear the lock click into place from time to time.]

he also stops his habit of barging into the bathroom whenever you're showering or washing your teeth, and instead knocks like, you know... a normal person?

overall, very jittery and constantly on edge. it's annoying as fuck.

that is, until he drinks. when he's drunk - he's the complete opposite.

he admits he likes you after he comes home from a night out with his friends. his sentences are messy and slurred and accentuated with dramatic hand gestures. he's telling you everything and nothing all at once.

“and i know i’ve been actin’ weird lately, but at the same time you’ve been actin’ hella weird, too. and i also know the reason as to why you’ve been actin' weird, ‘cause i know why i’ve been actin’ weird, and-”

he doesn't remember half of it by the morning.

but it still counts.

Kiba:

becomes an absolute menace after finding out you like him.

teases you a lot [even more than usual.]

this man can’t stop wiggling his eyebrows at you, sending you sly winks and equally as complacent smirks whenever you cast a glance in his general direction.

you think nothing of it at first, because he’s like that with everyone.

so he kicks it up a notch. until the words ‘i know you like me’ are nearly plastered on his forehead, and yet you still refuse to believe it.

part of the reason as to why, is to save yourself the embarrassment. he’d surely never let you live it down if you ever admitted how you actually felt about him.

he sees it as a game.

lives, breathes and exists for the mere sight of your red face and bashful demeanor.

walks around the apartment shirtless a lot, because one: he’s self-assured like that, and two: your ogling feeds his already humongous ego.

touches you a lot, and on purpose, too. he’s constantly ruffling your hair, pinching your cheek, poking your sides.

by this point, you’re just waiting on him to smack your ass and call you his pretty property.

nothing brings him more joy than whenever he succeeds in striking a nerve. he’s laughing when you start shouting at him to shut up; is absolutely hollering when you throw your pillow across the room at him and miss.

he casually tells you himself that he knows you’re harbouring a crush on him while you’re trying to make pancakes at 3am; that naruto had spilled it by accident with that big-ass mouth of his, and that he’s long since grown bored of playing silly games with you.

“cut the bullcrap, cutie.”

he’s snickering at the sight of absolute horror to fall upon your face, but knows when to put an end to his teasing and comfort you properly.

so you talk.

you eat the pancakes and talk some more.

and then he fucks you on the kitchen counter.

Shikamaru:

knew you liked him from the second you started glancing at him for a tad bit longer than you’d usually do.

is surprisingly chill about it, and acts like he doesn’t care, even though he does.

he cares a lot, actually.

he’s sharp enough to know it’s because he likes you back, but stupid enough to not acknowledge it properly.

and is he planning to do anything about it? hell to the no.

sharing an apartment with you is comfortable, after all. you don’t nag him and let him live his life the way he wants to, so why the fuck would he ruin that?

still, the sight of your shyness and affection makes him wonder what it’d be like to actually be with you.

he starts lingering around you more often to just enjoy your presence whenever you’re cooking or reading a book.

the silence doesn’t bother him.

he keeps inviting you to smoke with him, because ‘it’s better with company.’

uses the chance to get spoiled by you every now and then, under the pretense that he, once again, doesn’t care.

by spoiled, i mean him resting his head on your lap, quietly humming whenever you run your fingers through his hair.

he loves being lazy with you. it’s just so simple and natural.

he hates it when things are forced or rushed, and this is the exact opposite of that.

he’s high as fuck when he tells you he knows that you like him.

he says it with a little breathless chuckle. the tone is so soft and sleepy that you can’t even be nervous about it, really.

you’re both silent for a long while, just enjoying each other’s company.

he sighs.

“and, i dunno... i suppose what i wanted to say is that i like you, too.”

Sasuke:

he doesn’t know how to feel about it at first.

he starts paying closer attention to you, though. the way you dress, the way you speak, the way you behave.

silent appreciation.

though he always looks away whenever your gazes connect.

he tells himself that it’s just because he’s curious, but deep down he knows it’s a lie for whatever reason.

he doesn’t want to care, but goddamn he just can’t help himself.

secretly wonders why in the hell would a nice person like you ever fall for him.

he’s so complicated, after all.

sends you an occasional text if you’re out late, just to make sure you’re okay, but never replies after you tell him that you are.

it’s the little things with sasuke. you’ve gotta be satisfied with small affections, instead of grand gestures.

it takes him a long while to accept that he likes you back.

but goddamn, the sound of your loud laughter as you’re nearly wheezing like an idiot over the stupidest fucking meme surprisingly doesn’t annoy him.

no, instead he can’t stop himself from quirking a smile in return.

he knows it’s game over from that moment onward.

it takes him yet another aeon to make a move.

he never tells you that he knew beforehand that you liked him. that he saw the text you sent to naruto, asking about him.

he admits his feelings for you first; when you’re curled up in his bed from having a particularly bad nightmare, and his fingers are lazily stroking your spine in meek attempt of soothing you.

he pretends to be nonchalant about it.

even though he’s secretly hiding his smile against the top of your head, when you at long last tell him that you like him, too.

I'm cooking I will be posting the traditional version of the designs but these are just to ramble about the design choices and why I decided to swap them rather than information about the characters, I will not do this for all of them, only a few, I will post the finished, fully detailed designs on the next week in schedule form

Sorry they look kind of blurry, it's not the camera, it's the grafito getting fucked up when I but my shoulder over it

I believe it's rather obvious that Adam's suit was designed after Beetlejuice, I was going to take more reference on Dewey from School of rock but this one seems more recognizable and I think it fits better since, well, they're dead I added the little spikes on the shoulders because of Adam's outfit for the last episode Also piercings, because I can't believe he doesn't have them in canon I refuse to believe he wouldn't pierce his ears You can't see it yet but his eyes aren't going to be yellow, instead they're going to be blue like Emily's

The why I decided to swap him with Charlie is pretty obvious, they're opposites Also I just like to put Adam through hell both in the swap au, in the Benefactor au and in the Adamsapple fic I'm writing

Lute is also obviously designed after Vaggie's outfit, except that the colors of it are more to resemble Adam and her gothic style She didn't lose her eye, (V)Agatha ended up cutting her arm (details will not be explained yet but it was not intentional), so they gave her a replacement, but because hell isn't as refined as Heaven, the closest thing Adam could get was the sin of Lust to give her one of the best they had (Note. I have yet to decide who will be Ozzie), she normally wears her glove over it but only in front of anyone that isn't Adam, after episode 3 she stops using it in the hotel, being more comfortable around the cast Couldn't see her wearing a bow, so I put it in her back and around the hips Also long hair because she wanted to be separated of her excorcist status (as they all probably have a short hair), put it in a ponytail because she's always ready to throw hands for Adam

Why she is swaped with Vaggie is obvious Also I changed my mind they are dating in the swap au (Adam needs her gothic gf but they have to sort some issues before kissing)

Oh oh, you are gonna love this one

Why are they swapped? Because it's funny, because I have seen people swapping EVERYONE with Alastor except for Pentious which is pretty surprising honestly

I took most of Pentious eyes in the design since they originally serve the purpose of showing how much he distrust others, they disappear once he gets to heaven because now he has learned how to trust and care about those around him Even tho swap Pentious would obviously still be pretty distrusting, he would not be as paranoic, the eyes would come out on his full demon form I gave him a monocle just because I liked how it looked, he was supposed to have glasses like Alastor but he looked like a grandpa and I want him to have a more "Big brother" kind of vibe towards Adam rather tan fatherly (Since Emily is more like his big sister, not a mother) His hat takes the place of Alastor's cane, he's protective over it, it's the source of his power after all, it does not show Pentious true emotions Speaking off, since canon Alastor is always smiling, swap Pentious always has his hood up, never letting it down, he shows other emotions with his face but his hood represents him always having his guard up

Alastor is more pathetic Listen I am not sorry for taking away his bob cut, I don't know how you all can simp for that man with that hair, I gave him something similar but it goes all the way back, no bob cut Glasses, because we all love to give this man glasses His cane takes the place of Pent's hat, it shows his genuine emotions Not getting into details, but Alastor doesn't smiles as much as canon just like Pentious not always has his hood up, he does drop the smile and the more comfortable he gets with the cast the more he drops it for a normal, neutral expression Yes, he goes to heaven but his angelical form will be revealed later

Pentious is still an inventor, Alastor is still a Radio host

This one is simple, I tried to turn Keekee into a dog, not only because of Adam but it was mainly because Alastor canonically HATES dogs, so the idea of this fucking dog getting attached to Alastor and him petting her lovingly on episode 7 was an opportunity I could not pass up

Yeeyee is still female I just didn't trust myself to draw the eyelashes because she is a lot smaller than you think, and I didn't want to fuck her up and end up erasing most of her

I was also just going to put a giant mouth instead of an eye but it looked disturbing, so no

Yeeyee because the k on Keekee obviously comes from Key so I took the last letter to change it but still have it make sense

The key is also still in progress, I don't know how to draw keys

My thought for the third episode of natla are all over the place so please bear with me. I think my personal feelings are also gonna be involved in here.

• FINALLY Katara's useful!!!

• Remember my one post about some people erasing every bond between aang and katara? Yeah..

• But fr tho Jet taught her how to control her bending 😭😭😭😭 atleast give us aang and katara's friendship!

• They nerfed Bumi's rule They nerfed Bumi's rule They nerfed Bumi's rule They nerfed Bumi's rule They nerfed-

• The thing I loved most about the original show was the friendships and the relationships between the characters. Their is little to no gaang's friendship development.

• I was skeptical about Azula's casting cause I thought she'd look too innocent and cute but I was proven wrong. It was amazing.

• Mai would not put down Zuko cause she's scared of Azula. She DOES NOT CARE.

• Apart from that, Mai was solid too. I couldn't see much of Ty Lee's personality so idk.

• I'm feeling a little salty? But I guess it's maybe cause I'm a kataanger so that's why lol. PLEASE GIVE US SOMETHING

• Sometimes I feel like I'm only watching this show for Sokka, Zuko and Uncle Iroh.

• Pretty pissed at them cutting out the northern air temple arc. We got insight on Aang and Sokka's relationship, a character arc for both of them, and a pretty solid lesson on change (and science!)

•Please care about Aang, your... um.. protagonist.. and.. um.. titular character.

• JEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I'LL AVENGE YOUUUUUU

• No Katara simping after Jet... Me sad.

• The old woman beating up Zuko scene was GOLD lmao

• Katara would NOT say that!! She would also wanna stay in Omashi to help people aksgdaksgsjsgshshsgsgjsjsskdkdjh

• Why do I feel like they just don't want Aang and Katara to agree on stuff 😭 Like first the staying in the village to help people thing and then trusting Jet. But okay maybe I'll give them that one cause Aang didn't hang out with Jet in this one.

• That reminds me, Jet's dynamic with Sokka and Aang!! Gone!! (Btw check out my jetaang blog @jetaangxx Hehehe)

• The fight scene was nice. (Both Katara and Sokka's argument and Aang and Zuko's fight.)

• Atleast we got to see Katara being angry.. Just a smidge but we still saw it.

• MY CABBAGESSSS!!!!!! YESSSS Finally an iconic dialouge!!!

Saw on Reddit people ranking each version of the legion so I wanted to give it a go!

Original Silver Age- It's the silver age, it's the origin to all the concepts and characters but it's too charming and dumb to ever critique. Harmless fun with comic moments that read like elaborate shit posts.

70's era- Actually not a big fan of this era but I appreciate what it builds on for later, it's actually riddle with a lot of strange retcons (like Ayla being Garth and Mekt's little sister and them being twins??), very melodramatic moments for characters being dicks, hitting their girlfriends, and angst out, TYROC. Also not a big fan of the outfits designs making everyone look like eye candy and I do mean EVERYONE. You think that would be a positive but alot of the outfits tell you nothing of their characters abilities, their only purpose is to show the reader skin. I did like it for the creation of Dawnstar and Wildfire and this is the run where RJ gets a lot more focus being their financial backer. It gets way better when Paul and Giffen take over, leading into...

Bronze age Legion- This is LoSH at it's best and most Adult. The angst up teenagers have grown up and now feel like an organized functioning team. They all feel like friends with their own families and histories. Levitz proved that writing a large cast equally for a book is possible by sectioning a bunch of characters in their own little storylines until they all come together for when the real shit behind it all happens. Re-reading this era is purely comfy.

FYL- Hot take: I don't hate FYL. I will agree it has issues especially regarding it's certain retcons but I really do believe it told decent enough stories to not be the worst for me. It really gets the legionnaires to their core, albeit it has to make everyone wash outs and depressed to do so but if you look at the whole run as a character study for everyone. It's pretty good. It's so self contained you can't really bring yourself to hate it. Like it's basically what if Watchmen with LoSH.

Retroboot- This is technically still in the OG continuity and I rather get it out of the way now. It starts out pretty great with "Superman and the Legion of Superheroes" and the "Lightning Saga" being their best introductions especially for newbies, but the main book they did get... Kinda was boring as hell? I didn't think it was terrible, just that whenever it tried to introduce cool things it just drops plotlines and never explores them any further. Characters are faithful enough to the originals tho Garth wasn't ever really a hot head and Tasmia would never sleep with ethnic cleanser. Also r.i.p RJ, damn. It was going pretty fine until the new 52 was cancelled , forcing Querl to accidentally destroy the entire UP and forcing the legion to dispense "permanently". So yeah, pretty disappointing.

PZH "Reboot"- This is probably my real favorite version because it takes all the strengths I said about the Bronze age and mixes it with the imagination of the silver age. Objectively better designs to all other versions, and it's finally really incorporated having aliens members and more humans of color into the team. It's a reboot sure but it's extremely faithful to what came before, some would criticize TOO faithfully. But I don't care. It has like 100 issues so it did something right. Ends kinda poorly tho and we don't know if this version ever found their original universe yet.

Cartoon- Actually my first introduction to the team. It's sorta nothing to write home about, it's just a fun show. Though if it aired today it would get a ton of more fans given that its version of Querl is canon a super-simp. But aren't we all?

Threeboot- this might be the black sheep of all Legions. It's well written with designs that are fairly good if you're a fan of everything matrix. The premise is REALLY interesting and possibly ahead of it's time with adults being overprotective of themselves and their children to hardly allow them to be outside and interact with other people that aren't on another screen. So what went wrong? No cool villains, gets bogged down by infighting team politics, and only select members that Waid probably likes the most gets any character development. So mostly Rokk, Querl, Nura and maybe the Ranzz twins. So yeah, a strong start but it couldn't keep its momentum. It did have a soft boot under Jim Shooter, nothing to really say about it aside from Brainy having sex with a ghost. No comment.

Bendis era- This brings out the raging "fanboy" in me and I rather not feel like that anymore. What can be said that hasn't already been said? 12 issues of f-all happening.

Overall this team has been around for a long time and I hope one day to see them have another run again, preferably back to their former glory but not afraid to introduce new concepts to build upon itself.
