Heyo! All the art on these readings is drawn by me. Take what you can from the reading and leave all that does not resonate behind but always be open to new perspectives.

The archetype reading was inspired by the deck I used today. The guide book uses examples from anime to fit the descriptions of the tarot cards. I thought that was really clever so I decided to build off that idea and tell you what archetype you are most drawn to wants to tell you. In short, this is really a message from a specific cards energy. I hope this helps anyone who might be struggling!

PILE 1

Crystal: Tigers Eye

Dear pile 1, you are represented by the empress of this deck. The archetype you embody is someone who is luxurious, modest, kind and attentive. You care deeply for those you love and would do anything to assist them and make their life easier. You are a fantastic friend, partner and companion. You don’t necessarily have to be a woman to embody that energy. The message this part of you wants to tell you is that your kindness is being taken for granted. Your attentiveness is being discarded as if the love you gave isn’t worth anything. Your intuition is telling you to withdraw from the connection that is causing this. You maybe started this friendship or connection a while ago but you have started to notice this pattern from the other party in this relationship. They don’t return your love. Hey pile 2! Your archetype is the devil. Don’t worry though, for this doesn’t make you evil or bad. All this communicates to me is you are an enjoyer of the darker parts of life. You enjoy what other people usually fear. This is definitely not something horrible you should shame yourself about. I see you probably enjoy altered states of reality or perhaps you are very free with your sexual expression. I see you like the taste of control, power and vengeance. Again not a bad thing in my mind. Humans have many states of being and no part of existence is incorrect. Your message from the devil archetype is not asking you to cold turkey your behavior. However, I think it is saying balance is super important when you dabble in darkness. You might be prone to addiction to literally anything you can get dopamine from. I am an addict as well. I know how hard restraint can be. Even doing this reading is giving me cravings to be honest so I know you deal with cravings constantly. Your cards are saying it doesn’t matter if you feed the addiction. You will always be starving for more. You will always be chasing something you can never achieve. Please take care of your body before the cravings lead to worse. When I was dealing with my addiction I ended up in the hospital multiple times. It would have killed me if I hadn’t stopped. It is okay to dabble in darkness but seriously I beg you, from the bottom of my heart please moderate. Moderation is key to keeping yourself safe. Hey, pile 3! Your archetype is the emperor. You are a force to be reckoned with. A master of your craft and skilled beyond other people's wildest imaginations. You have a plan and have been putting so much energy into it. You know exactly what you want and exactly how to get it. Your cards are pretty straight forward just like you are. They are telling me that working hard is good! That your progress is fantastic and you have made it so far! However, the pace you are keeping at is almost unsustainable. You can’t juggle all of the tasks you are trying to keep under control. You cannot do it all by yourself. That isn’t logical! Humans are not solitary creatures. We need community and connection to continue on. Humans who have been left alone for too long go hecking crazy! You absolutely can handle all of it mentally. One of my favorite artists didn’t make it when he was 20. He grew into his greatness when he was 35. Does that make him any less of a great artist? Absolutely not!!! You are cool, awesome and wonderful! Why do you need to prove that when you already know it is true?

Super Easy Money Bowl Tutorial:

You are welcome to swap out some of the ingredients with anything else you feel is money or abundance attracting or calls to you. A few suggestions are:

Alfalfa… quick witch tip: store some in your cabinet so you never go hungry!

Basil… if you’re trying to attract money for your business

Blackberry… leaves and berries attract wealth

Blue violet… for good fortune

Buckeye… good luck and attracts money and wealth

Clover… luck and attracting money

Comfrey… use the root for money

Dill… money and luck

High John… obtaining success, to win at gambling, luck and money

Irish Moss… luck herb, gamblers herb and ensures a steady flow of money

Jasmine… draws wealth and money

Jezebel root… money and achievement

Job’s tears… attracts luck, wishes and money

Lo John… money, success and luck

Mandrake… prosperity

Mint… draws in customers into a business, brings wealth and prosperity if you rub it on money

Nutmeg… attracts prosperity, brings luck, and money

Add anything else that resonates with you and obtaining your goal for this bowl. Instead of salt on the bottom, you can replace with rice. You don’t have to sprinkle cinnamon, you can use the sticks just the same.

And here's the consolidated list (mostly?) All from Diamond in the Rough, character notes below cut (not in same order as pics)

Considered a few different systems for assigning gems (gemstone family, value, etc.) but ultimately just went with color/relative familiarity of gem. There’s so many cool gems out there~ (I was trying to not be too repetitive with types/use more common ones though Quartz has a million interesting varieties!)

Mega Man, Blue Sapphire Sphere I wavered a lot on his ‘trinket’, Sapphire seemed obvious (especially with Proto being a ruby, both are corundum gemstones) but also considered blue diamond, alexandrite (blue/purple color shift), and aquamarine. For the jewelry, was also considering an atomic model (for chemistry?), a screwdriver, and slightly regretting not considering circlet

Roll, Amethyst Earring: primarily always wanted amethyst, but also considered heliodor, padparadscha sapphire (but it wasn’t quite the right color? and perhaps too obscure), tanzanite, morganite, zoisite, kunsite, iolite, (purple gems etc.) For shape, was considering spikes/fangs though that’s also Treble and Punk’s lol

Bass, Emerald Snake Arm Cuff: loosely based on a real arm cuff I saw in a book. Also considered black diamond, green diamond (he’s the titular ‘diamond in the rough’), and black opal

Proto Man, Ruby Aviator Badge: I went with ruby in the end, which seemed most obvious choice, but also considered red diamond and bixbite (red beryl)

Elec Man, Black Opal Ring: Also considered chatoyant Sapphire, Alexandrite (??? color shift?), chrysoberyl, angelite/anhydrite, and even hawkeye quartz (loosely inspired by a real hawkeye ‘lightning’ ring, before that I was thinking cufflinks, but seemed weird for him to become either a pair of gems, or even a single cufflink lol)

Jewel Man, Colorless Beryl (Goshenite) Monocle - also considered rock crystal, diamond, and Padparadscha sapphire. Apparently both beryl and rock crystal were historically used for eyeglasses. Monocle is a reference to gentleman thief archtypes, also they are just fancy. (Also I realized while drawing this that having a plique a jour monocle chain is probably super impractical, oh well lol)

Top Man, Imperial Topaz Pendant in a Jeweled Egg - also considered alexandrite and spinel (for the pun, heh) and spessertite

Kalinka/Mega Girl, Rose Quartz Blossom Barrette: Pink :) though I considered other lesser known (but more valuable) pink gems

Quint, Alexandrite Wristwatch: Quint is a time traveler (of sorts), also considered model armillary sphere/astrolabe, a screwdriver, and jade or malachite or nanocrystal

Wily, Agate Cameo Belt Buckle: Loosely inspired by his skull belt in some of his game art, also considered amythist

Dr. Light, Alabaster bead on a bookmark tassel: Dr. Light likes books! Was also considering rock crystal and goshenite

Ring Man, Zircon Hoop Bracelet: Reference to both his namesake and his carney background. Was also considering class ring (before assigning the ring to Elec Man) and a circlet. ‘Zircon’ just sounds circusy, must be the Z

Magnet Man, Garnet Horseshoe Amulet: garnets are apparently magnetic, also considered fridge magnet

Cut Man, Citrine Paperknife: for obvious reasons. I also considered topaz for the gem

Guts Man, Tourmaline Paperweight: funny/fitting pairing with the paper knife, the shape is in reference to the boulder he holds in game art (for a brief week, was a rock crystal until I realized those are clear lol smokey quartz would have made more sense)

Punk, Spinel Motorcycle Chain: ‘Spinel’ may be a derivative from Latin ’spina’ which means thorn

Rush, Labradorite Bone Collar Tag: Went for the pun!

Treble, Howlite Fang: and ditto for Treble

Others that weren’t in chapter (this list has no significance what-so-ever, I brainstormed a list of gems but also ‘trinkets’ and my brain just started associating lol)

Beat, Aquamarine Aigrette: Beat actually avoided transformation, but that’s what he would have been

Brigid Deity Guide

Who is Brigid?

Translated as “The Exalted One” in Old Irish, Brigid is a Gaelic-Celtic Goddess of many things including fire, poetry, fertility, spring, and craftsmanship. Other spellings of her name are Brig, Brighid, or Brigit.

Not unlike many of the Tuatha Dé Danan, Brigid is thought to be a Triple Goddess, similar to The Morrigan. Some believe this means she is three sister goddesses or that she is one goddess made of three different aspects. These sisters, or aspects depending on your belief, would be Brigid the Healer, Brigid the Smith, and Brigid the Poet.

By far Brigid was one of the most popular goddesses of the Celts, as she had variations across the Celtic world where her name was Brigantes or Briganti.

The Welsh know her as Ffraid, in Scotland her name is Brìghde/Brìde.

Notes

Though the Dagda has been established as Brigid’s father, it’s not certain who her mother is. Some say Danu, others say The Morrigan, though this is less likely. I personally have yet to find anywhere that names a mother with any evidence.

Brigid is considered a Mother Goddess.

Brigid has been conflated with the Catholic St. Brigid, who was the daughter of a converted Druid. It is believed by some that St. Brigid of the Catholic church was inspired by the Goddess. The two share many features and even a holiday.

St. Brigid’s day is February 1st and lands on the same day as the Irish-Pagan holiday Imbolc, leading some folks to believe that the saint is a Christianized version of the ancient goddess. However, no study has found there to be any historical link between them.

Brigid was likened to the Roman Minerva, the Greek Athena, as well as the Proto-Indo-European goddess of the dawn.

Brigid has also been known to go by Dana or Danu, though they are also separate deities.

In mythology, Brigid invented Keening, which is a mix of weeping and singing while mourning the death of her son.

Brigid is heavily linked to Irish Holy wells.

Brigid is also known for prophecy as she was worshipped by seers.

She is associated with fire due to her associations with the hearth and smiths

Ultimately there is very little historical information about Brigit, surprising considering she is so popular now and was popular even in the past.

♡Pile one♡ Crystal: Citrine (Solar Plexus)

Your future holds a destined soulmate. Orange is the prominent color in this pile. Orange represents the Sacral chakra which rules over creativity, sexual energy, emotions and relationships. The self esteem card is in the center… this Twin/Soulmate will trigger you. They will make you see where you need healing, whether they are conscious of that or not. Do you deem yourself worthy of happiness? Make sure you continue working on your inner healing so you won’t reject the opportunity for happiness when it arises. I don’t know what your life looks like, as this is a general reading, but I know suffering and endurance when I see it. Pain is represented in the color red, correlating with the Root Chakra (grounding, survival). Red is associated with anger, passion, excitement, aggression, lust and strength. Intuition is in the center… you’ve had this unspeakable feeling that you’ll come out on top in the end. It can’t always be so hard. Storms eventually pass. Pain gives away to healing. ⋆Pile four⋆ Crystal: Rose Quartz(Heart Chakra)

Another spiritual pile! The Divine wants to speak through you. Badly. You were born with the connection to spirit, which is why to yourself and to others, you don’t always seem “here”. You’re between two worlds. Our physical one and the spiritual (they co exist, never separated). You’ve had a hard time functioning in this world and it’s structures. That’s because you're meant to be different, you’re meant to gain wisdom from being different and share it. You have a lot of inner wisdom, carried from this life and past lives. People probably think you are an old soul and you are! You're a philosopher by nature. Always looking to learn the secrets of life. You have already found some(Illumination card; Solar Plexus. Self Esteem, Instincts). Discovering new truths isn’t always easy for people to stomach. For example, acknowledging that ghosts really do exist, that would cause a personal crisis for a a lot of people. This is one reason why not everyone sees ghosts/paranormal phenomena. With your knowledge, be gentle with others even when you’re faced with incredulous falsehoods. An example of that would be someone telling you what God approves and doesn't. God isn't some grumpy old man passing judgement on us from above, and you know this but many others are not ready to unlearn what they've been taught. Sometimes, time and experience is the best teacher so remember when someone challenges your beliefs, speak with love. You are the Divine's expression on Earth.

ʚPile fiveɞ Crystal: Lapis Lazuli (throat and third eye chakra)

Come out, you’re hiding the powerful, beautiful, and creative person that is you. You have so many wonderful qualities and talents. Why don’t you give yourself a try? I know you’re afraid of the light because light casts shadow. You’re afraid to be vulnerable to others. Always remember, you only have to show or give that which feels good to you. You have it in you to be successful. Yellow is connected to the Solar Plexus chakra that sits over the stomach. It is associated with the sun, gold, divinity, positivity and self esteem. It also relates to illness or fear. Orange is represented by the Sacral Chakra. With Love being in the center and the tarot cards… my friend, if you can harness that determination in you, that Queen of Wands could very well be you in the future. I could really gush over the strength of this pile! There is a lot of creative energy here, as well. You are a passionate person and not just in a romantic sense. You’re determined to live unabashedly. Show us how to live our truth without shame.

✧Pile six✧ Crystal: Green Aventurine (Heart Chakra)

In the center, Stability and Security. This is your root chakra. This pile comes from unstable roots (no shame). The hungry card isn’t about being hungry for food (but if you are, by all means get a snack!). The hunger card(Solar plexus chakra; stomach. Self esteem, instincts, confidence) is about craving something more. A craving for something that will nourish your soul. A deep wanting for something to fill you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. So, what is it that you desire so much? I am feeling like this pile has big dreams. You have the choice to live in a life imaginary. Pretending, playing make believe, is the first step to making your daydreams into reality. Let yourself play. Laugh at yourself when you trip, you’re a soul in a body that came to explore! Now, the Faith card (third eye chakra; intuition, psychic abilities) isn’t just about having faith in higher powers but it’s more about trusting that no matter what, things will be okay. A “Red Carpet” picture was put together to go out with Destiny Art Events spring ‘22 zine and this was my piece of it. I’d been dying to draw Eris and Selene in formalwear for awhile so I hopped on this the minute it was suggested!

Insp + design concept discussion under the cut

Eris’ hat is based on the russian horned kichka. Incorporated her charm + ribbon + gold accents throughout as well as her studded gloves. Ritual dagger in an ornamented leather sheath.

Selene’s gown is loosely inspired by Hassidriss “She Rises at Dusk” Fall 2020 collection. Dreaming City crystal drop earrings and pendant and an agate ceremonial knife. Ahamkara scale handbag. :D

I redesigned Flora Tynix into two different forms, redesigned Tynix and Diamantix. The latter one only exists in my fanseries AU, though.

The redesigned Tynix still keeps the same skater aesthetic with a lot of embellishments and skirts that are beautiful to twirl around. The hairstyle is ponytails or pigtails, they can be styled in different ways. The fabric also reflects light and shimmers like their respective gemstone. The dress is inspired by Mugler crystal dress with a long train to match its respective fairy (They always have different draping and style)

Marshmallow: “Thank you very much, it was a very happy birthday, indeed! And thank you for acknowledging my storytelling skills! Honestly, sometimes I just draw inspiration from the natural world around me. It’s full of interesting things that can spark all sorts of stories in my mind.”

Marshmallow: “Like this piece of grape agate, for example. You know why it’s called that?”

Marshmallow: “Because the natural crystal formations look like wee little bunches of grapes.”

Marshmallow: “Aren’t they just adorable?”

Marshmallow: “And just like grapes, grape agate can come in a wide array of wine, purple, and green colors! Which makes me wonder... which one was named first? The grapes for the agate, or the agate for the grapes? And who named them? I’m already imagining the same mythological god figure taking a liking to the colors and round shapes and creating both the agate and the fruit to amuse himself.”

Marshmallow: “You see? Sometimes I find myself suddenly being creative for no reason at all.” *poses for random artistic shot*

-imogen visits her dad often, but the visits take a toll on her. she struggles with how to cope afterwards, especially on the days when he doesn’t recognize her. it usually leads to her being impulsive and doing things she normally wouldn’t. while most of these things are innocent in nature - like climbing on to the school roof to look at the stars - , some of the behaviors have been a bit more dangerous like when she hitchhiked at 3 am to the beach.

-imogen works the reception area at a local tattoo shop called Chronic Ink. it’s one of imogen’s favorite places to be. she loves helping people find the perfect tattoo and has even created a few designs for people.

-she’s big on crystals and not only has them all around her room, but will carry at least one with her at all times. her current go to crystal is flower agate because it helps inspire people to manifest and nurture their dreams while also calming and grounding them.

Today I made a little altar at my work desk!

I work from home, and while I love my job it can get stressful like any job does. And now that the days are getting shorter, I've found that getting off work when it gets dark out really messes with my head a lot more than it used to working outside the home.

That's what inspired this altar, dedicated to the sun and the Sun God Archetype I've recently been working with. I wanted to invite the sun's energy into my workspace and included some crystals I felt complimented it well.

Here's what I used (and why):

1. The candle is a 5 hour emergency candle I got at the Dollar Tree, the only other candles I have are the small chimes and tea lights and I wanted something a little longer lasting. On the candle I carved the astrological symbol for the sun, and since I didn't prepare any anointing oil I anointed it by just holding it in a sun beam.

2. The other dish is filled with a small layer of salt and ash and is for burning incense. I love incense and am using Dragon's Blood, mostly because it's what I have on hand.

3. I have an Instax photo I took of the sun shining beautifully through a tree, because it makes me happy :)

3. Lastly I used three crystals which are:

Citrine, it's got sunny and bright energy, positive and brings good luck

Red Agate, to boost my confidence

Howlite, inspirational and also stress relieving

I'm very happy with how this turned out! I really wanted to create the feeling of sitting in a sun beam and feeling the warmth ease your worries but also invigorate and energize you.

A lot of these things can be substituted out as well, so it's customizable to the energy needed!
