Contextualizing An Aspect of Millennial

Its important to understand where cognitive biases may be rooted in. What words and phrases, symbols, tones, inflections, etc, trigger this insecurity in me. And then how the system has reinforced that with propaganda campaigns. Like how I've always been told that "my generation was the 'participation trophy generation'". But despite how much that messaging imprinted on me I cant recall ever getting one single participation trophy in my lifetime and if I did the impact it had on me feeling 'special' is little to none. Whereas I'm still trying to deprogram from that propaganda to this day. It helps to feel like I have an understanding on why I feel the way I feel.

Contextualizing that helped me understand my core fundamental values. And made me realize that I'm in favor of positive reinforcements as a response to failure. Because when you dissect it and consider your instinctive moral compass it's easy to draw the conclusions that...

The long term effects of that reinforcement would logically result in atleast a slight improvement in mental health. Promotes values that there is no finite measurement or requirements for success and would free atleast of some self-conscious oppression.

The other counterpoint I recall seeing is that 'it discourages competition' which is complete dog shit if you ask me. I don't think these things cancel each other out in anyway. You can still uphold a tier system for rewards if you want incentives that encourages trying your best and the sanctity of competition and still want to reinforce the runners up with a smaller incentive. "Second place is steak knives"

Something to encourage active participation in the first place but giving a reason to 'participate harder' next time if you want to first place reward.

Best Independent News re: China

Guys, I love the news site What's On Weibo. I use it to keep up with the larger mind of Chinese society and where it's at. How they feel about their government's handling of "Zero Covid" lockdowns. The events in Tangshan where several women were beaten by men in a restaurant, and how netizens reacted. What shows and movies are big hits right now.

Everything from the heavy to the light, current news to social movements to entertainment.

I particularly like that their articles are about the people, not the government. You get the broader view, seeing how the people aren't a homogenous group agreeing with the PRC, but rather a patchwork of many beliefs and views and thoughts and voices.

I highly recommend What's On Weibo to other international fans of Chinese culture, entertainment, etc.. They're one of my favorite independent news orgs that has reliable info about China, and which lacks the typical Western bias against all things Chinese.

Personally, I'm a very satisfied reader. They're currently free of outside influence--no political or commercial groups funding them, no larger news org controlling them. They're looking for independent funding from readers so they can continue in that vein.

"For three decades, on World Press Freedom Day, the international community has celebrated the work of journalists and media workers. This day highlights a basic truth: all our freedom depends on press freedom. Freedom of the press is the foundation of democracy and justice. It gives all of us the facts we need to shape opinions and speak truth to power. And as this year’s theme reminds us, press freedom represents the very lifeblood of human rights. But in every corner of the world, freedom of the press is under attack. Truth is threatened by disinformation and hate speech seeking to blur the lines between fact and fiction, between science and conspiracy. The increased concentration of the media industry into the hands of a few, the financial collapse of scores of independent news organizations, and an increase of national laws and regulations that stifle journalists are further expanding censorship and threatening freedom of expression. Meanwhile, journalists and media workers are directly targeted on and offline as they carry out their vital work. They are routinely harassed, intimidated, detained and imprisoned. At least 67 media workers were killed in 2022 — an unbelievable 50 per cent increase over the previous year. Nearly three quarters of women journalists have experienced violence online, and one in four have been threatened physically. Ten years ago, the United Nations established a Plan of Action on the Safety of Journalists to protect media workers and end impunity for crimes committed against them. On this and every World Press Freedom Day, the world must speak with one voice. Stop the threats and attacks. Stop detaining and imprisoning journalists for doing their jobs. Stop the lies and disinformation. Stop targeting truth and truth-tellers. As journalists stand up for truth, the world stands with them".

Aftermath of the Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial.

The mainstream media furthering their awful agenda.

The blossom of independent journalism.

The jury found that Amber Heard defamed Johnny Depp in her 2018 Washington Post op-ed.

Three statements were deemed defamatory.

She maliciously lied about him while knowing none of it was true.

The mainstream media had backed her up for all these years and when we finally have the verdict for Johnny - the true victim in this sad ordeal .... well, the mainstream media decided to remain with the narrative they were trying to push for all these years.

Let's spin the truth some more, why don't we?

Just like Amber Heard, they don't like admitting to mistakes.

I have to describe the most gratifying experience watching this trial. I saw youtubers (from the lawtube community) who had zero knowledge about the case realizing what kind of person Amber Heard is. I got emotional as I listened to the "Tell the world Johnny" audio and observed their reactions to that revelation. For me, it really felt like the world is finally hearing him and he's got his chance to tell the truth and his heartbreaking story. These people and their expressions of utter disbelief to what she's saying represented the world for me, the world that is finally seeing her for who she really is. And even though the audios were available online (again only thanks to independent journalists but primarily to Adam Waldman), in that moment it was all finally being presented to the enormous audience watching the trial.

Los Angeles Times even published an article claiming that Jason Momoa testified for Heard. I mean, can they get more unbelievable and ridiculous?? Zero research, basing their articles on what they saw on tik tok or edited compilation videos on youtube. This is the mainstream media nowadays.

Attacking independent journalists who were reporting the truth about this case is one of the media's goals too, or attacking youtubers who were streaming the trial for us, offering their commentary. I have seen 11-hour-long streams where a bunch of people (mostly lawyers) was participating in a panel discussion, commenting on the trial while watching it live. I mean, 11-hour streams?? Independent journalists, youtubers - they all worked their asses off during this trial (and some were covering this case from the very beginning, since 2016). Trial streams were able to garner more attention and accomplish much, much more than some journalists have in the past 10 years. It must've really hurt some giant egos.

Also, I really want to applaud the people listed above in the screenshot, for their unwavering pursuit of the truth!!

All I can say is please, don't listen to the mainstream media, don't fall for their lies and narratives and whatever they're trying to sell you these days. They are not here to present you the truth nor fight for it. There are here to push the narrative that suits them and make the sheep follow.

If you want the truth, you have to learn to research on your own, before forming any opinion.

In the end, nothing is as easy as it seems. For me, there's always something underneath worth digging into, worth finding out ;)

A SIDE NOTE ON PUNK ROCK, CULTURAL APPROPRIATION, AND THE CULTURAL/POLITICAL SHIFT

Look, if you want to fight the 4chan frogs you have to use humor on their level. Post-ironically. Use their stereotypical jokes against them.

Conservatives be like:

"My pronouns are failed/comedian"

Call them out for making the same dumbass transphobic jokes. Racist jokes. Anti-sjw jokes. They only have like 3 jokes. Make those jokes unfunny to them so they will stop using it to oppress others. That's the cultural Marxist way of winning the artificial 'culture war' of their own creation. Because Conservative are coping with the fact that for the first time in history they are losing their culture. So they have gotten radicalized.

Hypothetically if this sees enough of the people I want to see it. Then this is the type of psy-ops we could use to take away their desire for using these tired bigoted jokes. Gotta make it look uncool. Because it is. But it's only uncool to them if we are embracing it.

That's how they culturally appropriate. They did it to the term 'based' when they connected it to the term 'red pilled'. Practice the term 'based' as a standalone term. The Based God was originally symbolic for presenting progressive values to a modern/post modern age.

That means we are no longer the counter culture. The left have always been the counter culture side of the two party system. We've always had to fight for more culture, diversity, gender ambiguity, empathy. Punk rock has always been a left and liberal movement. Don't let the libertarians and conservatives try to revise history. They have tried to claim that Punk Rock was an apolitical movement. And that's a load of bullshit and proves how little they even know of Punk rock. It was a way to give a voice to the people. When only the rich and powerful were given a spotlight. The oppressors. The right wing. And I know it started off in England but the spirit of it has always be anti-establishment. They barrier for entry was so low because they embraced the aesthetics of lo-fi homemade charm. And it was never about technical skill. It was made to be contrary to that. High fidelity was the culture. Since Punk rock was always inherently counter culture. And what a force it was. It gave voices to so many who were up against the 'moral majority, Christian fundamentalist' culture that oppressed them and never gave them a chance to be heard.

So, my theory is since the culture is reflecting more and more on the side of the liberals, neo-liberals, and Leftists that we have become the modern majority (my answer to the moral majority since 'moral' is a double speak word that can be inserted for whatever they felt like oppressing.)

Conservatives subconsciously understand this. Some of them consciously do. That why anytime you ever hear about the 'culture wars' it's using coming from the conservatives. And when they say 'woke culture' that's what they mean. It's kind of exposing them for the white nationalists they secretly are. Because 'woke culture' is another term culturally appropriated by the black community, and used to oppress them. Kind of nazi-ish if you ask me. Because they hate woke culture. And don't let them gaslight you cuz they will try. Woke culture means everything that isn't Anglo Saxon Pure White. Once we can acknowledge this we can expose how much they have went past the Overton window of acceptability. They only care about straight white men. And Now that they are the counter culture they are using this 'woke culture ' speak to pretend like they are oppressed. Cuz in cultural Marxism speak, conservatives have been the oppressors since the foundation of America. And for the first time The Left are starting to get the power. We are as close as we've gotten to a DemSoc president, although this late stage capitalism isn't exactly in favor of the left. I feel like the system is sort of rigged against people like Bernie. The president WE deserve. We have gained the culture in spite of capitalism. We need to take advantage of it.

Because the more conservatives become aware of this, the more they will pull from that Punk Rock radicalism and they are way more extreme than the left has ever been. That's why we see Jan 6th incidents, all these anti Trans hate rallies and q anons psychological warfare. It's about as late stage as capitalism can get. And I think the Left aren't radical enough now because we feel a false sense of security where we collectively subconsciously feel that we are culturally winning. But this is why the Trump rallys are so packed and wild. They want to centralize to appear like they are bigger in number than they are. And to express their loyalty to their cult leader Donald Trump. But they are the vocal minority. The left are the majority now. But don't get complacent because it's still too early in this cultural shift. They have displayed how eager for a facistic revolution they are. Again, see Jan. 6th. And they've tried downplaying that. But they were trying to incite a one party dictatorship under their cult leader Donald Trump. Because they are already that desperate to get there 'nuclear family' culture back. "Make America Great Again" that's what that means. Take away everyone who doesn't match the standard for a family. They'll take out any genders, race, LGBTQ allies, anyone who isn't fascist like them. Hitler didn't stop at the Jewish people, he didnt even stop at the ones that looked just like him if they were speaking out against the nazis.

In conclusion, the world ended in 2012. But only for Christian fundamentalist. That's what the mayans predicted. The age of Aquarius. The culture shift. It's not just happening in America. It's all over the world. That's why their is so much war overseas right now. The new world order might actually be coming. But it's not like the fear mongerers like Alex Jones predicted. Well, it is for his audience of Far right and Alt-right conservatives. Because, we are becoming a unified culture. But unlike the last time we became this close to a cultural synthesis, we can't let the fascists take over.

We all want unity.

But unity means diversity and equality for mankind to us

And unity means genetically and through skin color for them.

Counter culture was in much safer hands with the anti- fascists.
