the look all the blue haired communist give you when they try their “i’m a non-abled intersex trans woman suffering from a plethora of diseases” excuse to get out of labour :
Tumblr media
Why are these people, those who do no or refuse hard or meaningful labour, the face of these economic revolutionary parties?

How the fuck can you consider yourself leftist if your belief is that a leftist society is the ideal but that you believe that for practicality we need to only fight for an implement centrist policies due to "practicality". Like, you do realize that "communism works on paper but it's not possible in practice" is a standard conservative talking point meant to dissmiss leftism?
This appeal to practicality, calling leftist advocates naive, and telling them to change the system from within, used to be the realm of boomer conservatives who used to be leftists, now it's the line of millennial conservatives who used to be leftists and they don't even have the politeness to call themselves conservatives. It's gotten past the point where that's even only being used agaisnt the really radical stuff, you now have people who don't want any advocacy for trans people because they see it as bad optics.
I don't remember who said it, but I once heard someone quote something to the tune of "the only way we've ever gotten any progress to happen in any span of time, is by demanding everything right now."

these are butterfly bullets or “dum-dums.”
they’re banned by the international law ICC, and their use is listed as a war crime by the international criminal court. yet lsrael has been using these bullets again UNARMED palestinian protesters.
Tumblr media
netanyahu declared palestinians as pampered. what he failed to tell you is that IDF uses butterfly bullets against palestinians. which has been prohibited under international law.
these are often used to shoot palestinians in the legs. often resulting in amputation.

i dont post on here a ton but i gotta say the growing attitude on tumblr that voting in the US is somehow useless is really concerning.
just recently i saw this post that was basically making fun of people saying that voting was the way to change the system, and that's just.. wrong? like seriously, how do you think roe v. wade got overturned? its because despite everything, republicans are smart voters and now how to play the long game.
but leftists as of late have lost that quality i feel. instead of advocating for people to vote, they advocate for some "revolution" they think will solve everything. among the people in the post mentioned earlier being glorified as revolutionaries were mao zedong and stalin, and when asked why the poster was glorifying these horrific figures, they said, "yes. Mao freed my family and stalin defeated the fascists. Get with the program sugar"
do you notice anything about that? do you notice how it sounds like the way a child describes the world? "stalin defeated the fascists" like he's some hero who defeated the evil horde of thieves? the way things like the red guard, struggle sessions, all of that, are completely ignored on the side of Mao? how this person, despite having a trans flag in their pfp, is ignoring how the utterly homophobic state of the Chinese government at present is the fault of Mao? how they ignore horrific things such as the Gulag on side of Stalin? this person cannot think, and the only way they believe that the world can move forward is a revolution, and revolution's don't work when the people advocating for them do nothing.
maybe one could argue that this was just a one off type of thing, and that all of the thousands of people liking and reblogging this post are just weirdos. but whether or not thats true, this growing sentiment of praying to a revolution that will never come is indeed growing. and its not just like these people stay in their lane, they actively encourage and probably will cause people to not vote.
so i want to remind everybody. elections are not a moral choice. joe biden is complicit and actively funding a genocide, but not voting for him, third party or not (if you still think third parties are viable please look into the history behind them), will make it more likely that trump will win, and that things in palestine and other things that joe biden has failed in will get 1000x worse. candidates in elections are a bus stop to the real goal, and treating them as such is smart voting, republicans proved this with the overturning of roe v. wade.
please do not be selfish. this last bit may seem out of nowhere, but i need to say this. this type of thinking is selfish. it is selfish and almost impossible to detect as such for the people who believe in it. if you are the type of person who believes in this style of thinking, you have created a completely arbitrary moral code, and care more about your conscience than real political change. you believe yourself to have completely good morals that are universally good, and for the consequences of following these morals, you don't consider the real change that will occur, just your conscience and peace of mind. as for what happens because of that moral code, you will always find a way around looking inwards to how you contributed.
this election season may be the most important yet, please learn to take the practical route instead of the "pure" route.

BE ALERT!!! 👇👇👇💯💯
Imagine a future where the central bank holds all the power and control over our financial transactions.
This is the reality that could come with the introduction of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). Unlike traditional forms of money, a CBDC would give the central bank absolute authority over the rules and regulations that dictate its use. This means that the government would have unprecedented control over our financial activity, which could have dire consequences for our freedom.
Tumblr media
One of the biggest concerns with a CBDC is its potential threat to privacy. With the ability to track every transaction and gather vast amounts of data, the government would have endless opportunities to monitor and control citizen's financial activity. This level of surveillance could be used to target political opponents and suppress dissent. The mere thought of a government having such power should raise alarm bells for anyone who values their freedom and privacy.
Furthermore, a CBDC could be easily weaponized against those who oppose the government’s agenda. By controlling access to funds and monitoring transactions, the government could effectively silence dissenting voices and stifle any opposition. This would create a chilling effect on free speech and undermine the very foundations of FREEDOM
It is crucial that we carefully consider the implications it could have on our freedom and privacy. The power that a central bank would wield with a CBDC is unprecedented, and we must ensure that safeguards are in place to protect our rights and liberties. The future of CBDC should not come at the expense of our fundamental freedoms. Congress should prohibit the Fed and Treasury from issuing such. CBDCs have no place in the American economy.

Encampments for Gaza: A Brief Analysis Through My Eyes
Starting as a small sit-in in Columbia University to protest the university's ties with Israel and other Zionist organizations, the student protest movement has spread across the United States and encampments have been established at numerous universities across the country, including MIT, NYU as well as the Universities of Michigan and New Mexico.
These student movements, reminiscent of protest movements against US intervention in Viet Nam in the 60s and 70s and more recently, the BLM protests in 2020, hold massive potential to not only cause divestment from Israel's genocide in Gaza, but can act as a much greater force in the disassembly of United States imperialism and capitalism.
These encampments are pivotal in highlighting disconent among the American youth as well as the brutality and inherently oppressive nature of the American system. If these students seek to bring about real, lasting change, they should embrace a higher degree of organization, participation in community organization, self-defense, and increasing militarization within their encampment movement.
If history has taught us anything, the boot of the US government will step down on these protesters if they are not ready. They need to be ready to fight for Gaza and the people of Palestine, they need to be ready to fight for themselves and their rights, and they need to be ready to fight for a future without imperialist and capitalist greed.

Today in class we talked about old politicians and one guy said, "If you're leaving, you can't order something for the table," and that just about took me out.

The biggest obstacle to mass unionization is the atomization of the workforce since deindustrialization.
This is keeping workers isolated from one another, and so the illusion of being the only one suffering economic hardship is more easily sustained.
But as the conditions of American workers deteriorate, we're beginning to see heightened class struggle manifesting in more common labor actions.
From the Unionization of various Starbucks stores across the country, to the teacher strikes in Portland and Las Vegas, to the surgical UAW strikes of Shawn Fain, Class struggle and Class consciousness are increasing along with the labor actions.
A Gallup poll shows 75% of Americans sympathize with UAW Workers over the Bosses at Ford, GM and Stellantis.
A reckoning years in the making is coming for the Capitalist Class, but only if we harness this energy, educate the Working Class and elevate Class Consciousness.
We desperately need a strong Workers Party.

when you call your reps to ask them to pretty please stop taking your rights, remember:
- in deep red areas you’re a republican who is thinking of voting for someone else if they don’t vote what you want on this specific bill, because it impacts your republican ideals so very much.
- in swing states you’re a undecided voter who’s gonna go blue if they don’t vote how you like.
remember to call because that way their phone is going off and their peers can hear it because their offices are close together. (emails and letters don’t work like that.) so it can really rattle them if they get high volumes. remember you gotta make them feel like they’re losing something.
“talking points i’ve been using in my blood red state:”
- “i’m a small business owner and [example: anti-drag bill] is making me lose money!!” OR “[anti-drag bill] is going to cost us millions in taxable sales!!” - if you talk about how it’s making you personally lose money and absolutely need to bullshit, you run a bar or do freelance photographer. the intern they have on the other line does not have the resources or the know-how to check that.
-“i’m concerned that [anti abortion bill] is the government infringing on my personal rights.” - self explanatory.
-“[anti-gay bill] goes against family values in my church.” - they aren’t going to call your local pentecostal chapter to fact check this. you don’t even need to be pentecost. you just need to assert that you’re part of a community and a major voting bloc.
- remember in smaller towns, literally every vote counts. and voters genuinely don’t call in, so your call can carry quite the advantage.
i did not come up with these, they are from a couple different sources. all credits to them.
join us. we are stronger together.
