sometimes I lay at night thinking what exactly did daisy write in the description of alec hardy's tinder profile and what pictures did she use that made her think that could get women to swipe right on him. was it selfies? was it candid photos she took? was alec wearing that blue jumper on and reading a paper with his legs crossed in the photos? I need to know

IMAGINE. working at ur stupid uhhh job or whatever. pulling into your drive way and ready to work on some crazy project in your garage. opening the door to the most unfamiliar silence. did your wife and kid leave for something?
could you imagine knocking on your kids door, hardly getting an answer, and opening it to find the splattered remains of your wife across his room
your child is scared! hes hardly consolable, in a state of shock and terror. you are too, but youre the adult here. you need to take charge. you need to protect him. you need to do something. you need to do something.

For the celebration, congrats by the way, what was your thought process coming up with "Hello Fellow Wartior?" Like, were there any things you were inspired by specifically?
Thank you!! And tysm for asking something! ⸜( *ˊᵕˋ* )⸝
And oh! That was specifically inspired by the absence of a lot of venom symbiote & peter dynamics, funnily enough? The venom arc was always my favorite thing in any movie or episode it' appears in, but it always felt like never lasted every long or even felt off? Like it was just an obligatory addition to check off the list instead of a moment of character exploration like it should be.
Though, Specular Spider-Man is the exception for giving it the proper weight and focus! Like, you can see the slow changes beginning to take form including in his thought process / narration. It isn't just suit good! Suit bad! Get off! You can see the underlying horror.
I ended up rambling to a friend about my frustrations, or the potential for venom arc's in general, because yeah, we know how it always goes but Spidey has alternate universe's, is there any where he keeps it? Where their bond is healthier? And I didn't see jack shit. And I, pissed the fuck off there wasn't, realized if I wanted it I'd have to do the damn thing myself, and there we are! From there, since I was twisting some classic rules, I could twist some others, like fuck it, like both MJ and Harry find out!
And then trying to mold the symbiote into something well intended but still potentially harmful, so I could keep the classic aggression and hostility exhibited by black suit Spidey, but give it a different context. Plus something to challenge Spider's sacrificial streak by being nagged into a healthier life style, haha! I wanted to make it fun and different, basically.
All in all, I was pissed the fuck off there wasn't more venom and spidey content, then realized I could be as self indulgent as I wanted to be and explore "what if he kept it?" and it snowballed from there! The absence of what I wanted was so upsetting I needed to do it myself. Tysm for asking! (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡♡♡

Me just now seeing the true symbolism of this moment ⬇️
Cap ending the fight by BREAKING HIS FUCKING HEART 😭😭😭
(Yeah, I know the arc isn't actually part of Tony at this point, but it will always represent his heart 💔)

I just watched the avengers show for the cruise thing and the idea of Sam, Carol, Scott and Hope being the new avengers line up is amazing, and I love the idea of Kamala filling Peter’s shoes and having that “avenger in training /w mentor” relationship with Sam. I just love the idea of that and hope they bring it all to canon

Fyi
Tony stark is the worst character in MCU, not because he beat up Bucky Barnes, but because he’s an annoying rich man…
Like i aint sorry, I can relate to Steve Rogers cause poor, small and in love with big man bestie, but Tony??? He’s part of the 1%

One of the things that annoys me the most about the MCU is how Disney's need to profit keeps kneecapping any potentially interesting theological developments in the story.
"The Norse gods are real!" Is a record scratching, astounding moment that throws reality up into a spin.
But Disney sells primarily to culturally monotheistic countries that get preeetty censor happy if you show to people of the "wrong" gender presentation kiss on screen, nevermind casually dismantling one of the cornerstones of modern theological dogma in large parts of the world. (But not universal. Remind yourself, forcefully, that monotheism isn't mainstream world wide. India and Japan, to name a few, are right fucking there, so really check yourself if you hear "polytheistic" and immediately thought of white wiccans being edgy tools on the internet.)
Literally every story is about super human, super powered creatures that fit the definition of godly or at least threaten to revise the cosmology of their in story universe...
And then they immediately roll it back, tone it down, make it BORING.
Thor and Loki aren't gods, lol, they're aliens! They can still die and it's meaningless when they do because it's not the death of a god, its just a dude that our primitive ancestors thought was divine because they didn't understand science!
Thanos is not the embodiment of ontologically self destructive divinity rebeling against his own role in the larger cogwork of the universe and desperately in love with the concept of Death because as an immortal god it is the one thing that will always be outside his grasp and understanding, and his tragedy isn't the other side of eldritch divinity, where the mundanity of life and it's ephemeral beauty are completely incomprehensible to him so all his efforts to court Death are doomed to failure from the start. Nah, fam. He's an ecofascist terrorist caricature with staggeringly tasteless implications in late 2010s, early 2020s, as the world is literally on fire and efforts to stop that from happening ARE being called ecofascist terrorism. Also he's like, a shitty dad and a caricature of the ultimate colonizer. But like, purple, so no white people get their feelings hurt.
Yeah.
