I was thinking about this AU where Kaku runs off with Lucky and decided to share my brainrot with the class, here you go:

Despite Kaku's fears that they would be hunted by the government until the day they died, they actually give up fairly quickly. Kaku disappeared during a Buster Call. The possibility that he died and was blown to bits is hardly unreasonable. There is a bit of a search for him given the lack of a body to confirm his death with, but after they catch up with the rest of CP9 and see he isn't with them, he's dismissed as being dead. Cipher Pol agents are so broken in and brainwashed that the World Government never even considers the possibility that he deserted. As long as Kaku stays away from locations that are frequented by the Marines/World Government, he'll continue to be considered dead.

His fellow CP9 members also assume him dead when they're unable to find him. It's shocking to them, but it's also not hard to believe that a cannonball could have taken him out after he was defeated by Zoro. It's not until they catch wind of Lucky's disappearance that they begin to question it. Kalifa and Lucci remember how fond Kaku was of her and find it more than a little suspicious that both of them vanished at Enies Lobby. But... There was a Buster Call going on. Maybe she was killed, too. That much fire power would have easily destroyed any bodies left behind. They question if he's still alive and with her, but they're never able to confirm it. They keep it to themselves when they're sought out for CP0. If he is alive... then they want him to have his peace.

Kaku's highest priority after he escapes with Lucky is to get out of the Grand Line. He knows that bouncing around the four Blues will be the best way to evade detection.

It takes Lucky about a year after her kidnapping to completely cave and settle into her life with Kaku. By that point, she is convinced that the Straw Hats have abandoned her. The hurt morphs into resentment and she goes from sad to bitter. She's so mad that she drops the nickname Lucky and reverts to using her real name again.

Lucky's tendency to latch onto any scrap of affection given to her benefits Kaku immensely. She's hurting from her perceived abandonment and clings to him like a lifeline. She was already close with him before the year mark. After it, they're acting like a normal happy couple. Kaku's sweet words and gentle touches leave her wrapped around his finger quickly and she becomes very clingy and dependent towards him.

After the year mark, she is a lot more open to Kaku's desire for children. Instead of changing the subject, she starts engaging with him on the topic. By the time the Straw Hats reunite, Lucky and Kaku could very well already have a child. Kaku wouldn't have a preference for adopted vs biological children, he's happy with whatever Lucky prefers. But if they take the adoption route, it comes with the risk of him bringing home the entire orphanage because he couldn't choose.

A reunion between Lucky and the Straw Hats would be messy. She isn't willing to listen to them or believe that they didn't abandon her. She is especially resistant if her and Kaku have a child together at that point because she wants to maintain her happy family and resents the Straw Hats for trying to break them apart.

This would be the only scenario where she truly sees their yandere tendencies. She finally sees how far they're willing to go now that they're making her do things against her will by separating her from Kaku. She's scared and feels stupid and naive for never seeing this in them before. Any attempts from the Straw Hats to bond with her again and prove that they never meant to abandon her are met with a cold shoulder. She's afraid to engage with them and just wants Kaku back. It would take months for her to start to trust them again, but she would still want to leave and go back to Kaku and becomes more and more distressed when they won't let her.

Bonus: Luffy would get very emotional upon learning about cat Ace. Even when he's frustrated with Lucky for being so stubborn, it warms his heart to know how much she also cared about Ace. He finally makes some progress in mending their relationship when he starts telling her stories about Ace from his childhood.

when snuffy announced that the team will be taking a beach trip as a treat for their hard work and victories during NEL, barou was IMMEDIATELY against it and just wanted to stay behind in the blue lock facility

from the wet sand sticking onto him everywhere to god knows what’s in the ocean (fish piss in there ya know), he was completely out.

he eventually relents when snuffy convinces him to go as it would be a good team bonding experience. and i mean who would say no to the team dad coach

barou also gets instantly annoyed that he can’t gel up his hair since the salty air and humidity will just ruin it so he’s gotta wear it down the whole trip. yet another reason for him to hate the beach

you sit next to him for the entire bus ride to his dismay and laugh at how much he overpacked for a simple day trip. he tells you to shut up to no avail as you keep cracking up at some of the things he brought.

when everyone gets there, barou sits under one of the umbrellas, far away from the tides and the wet sand, right next to aryu who’s trying to preserve his oh-so-fair skin away from the sun.

soon you ask to borrow his sunscreen since you somehow forgot your own. he does end up lending some to you while grumbling about how stupid you must be to not bring yours. then eventually you keep coming back to ask him for more things out of his heavy beach bag despite teasing him earlier because of it.

this does lead to the rest of the team asking for his stuff. oliver borrowing his extra pair of sandals. niko needing some burn gel since he accidentally fell asleep in the sun for five minutes and now the lower half of his face is sunburnt. sendou straight up taking some of his lip balm before he could even say no. lorenzo somehow eating half the snacks barou brought without him noticing.

later the team has a beach volleyball match and you invite him to join. he, of course, says no mainly because he’s disgusted by the feeling of the sand in his toes (and he’s also still pissy at everyone for taking his stuff).

so you gotta drag him out to play. and by that i mean physically drag him out by his arm while he doesn’t budge from his beach towel at all and looks at you crazy for even trying.

eventually snuffy tells you to stop and makes barou join the game to have fun with the others.

since no one in blue lock is normal, you guys play the game like your damn lives depend on it. with how egotistic the match goes, barou actually ends up enjoying it a lot. especially since he now has an excuse to finally destroy his own teammates.

(this also confuses and lowkey scares other clueless beachgoers who had the misfortune of witnessing you maniacs play)

after the game, you notice barou’s attitude and mood have greatly improved. most people wouldn’t even have noticed the change but you know him well enough to catch it.

you once got pinched by a tiny crab and placed it in barou’s hand, telling him it’s pretty crabby… like him…

he just stares at you before walking away with it, planning to release the teeny crustacean back into the water

later during the trip, he immediately jolts away when he sees your fingers covered in wet sand after making sand castles with niko with just your bare hands alone (they honestly ended up turning into sand mounds more than anything).

when you flick some of the sand onto his cheek as a joke just to see how he would react, you would think he saw the literal devil. the literal mortification on his face. thankfully he was petrified for a good few seconds which gave you plenty of time to run, living to see another day.

when everyone gets back, barou will never admit how much he actually enjoyed the trip and hanging out with the team. instead, he will grumble about how much sand got into his swim trunks and hair when he gets ready to shower.

but everyone knows he actually had a blast hanging out with the team for a day.

I watched a video analysis on it, then went on to watch the entire gameplay, then read an article on the game's concept and what it means to analyze art and yeah. wow. after which I finally started playing the game with my best friend!! 📺 ongoing: Marry my Husband, Cherry Magic Th, Last Twilight 📺 binged: Taikan Yoho (aka My Personal Weatherman), Hometown Cha Cha Cha 📹 Horror Storytelling in the internet era

so. the Taikan Yoho brainrot was followed by me listening entirely to songs that evoked similar emotions to watching the main couple. personal fav emotions include a love that feels like you could die, a love that feels like losing yourself, a love that makes you feel like you could disappear, a love asking to be held, a love that reminds you that you're not alone, and a love that feels like a promise <3

I've got ScarVi brainrot so here's a list of headcanons that live rent free: (a lot of it is Larry and Giacomo based (my beloveds) )

SPOILERS BELOW

Nemona is autistic

Penny is trans (mtf)

Arven has dsylexia (formed off of that one moment at the end where he forgets the name of something, paired with his apparent bad grades)

Arven's mother/father (Vi or Scar dependent) 'died' when he was young - they got caught up in their studies and the time machine went all fucky and POOF no more parent. Back then the technology wasn't advanced enough to make an AI version ((for example, I played Scarlet, so this headcannon applies to Turo getting sucked into the future, make sense?)) Arven was only young when this happened

Larry is Asexual Biromantic (fight me)

Giacomo lives with Larry- his uncle.

Giacomo is actually Unovian - his mother was from there (his father was Paldaen), and he grew up there. Something happened to his parents (they died??) and he moved to Paldea to stay with his uncle. This was all about 3 years before the story of ScarVi. ((this entire headcannon changes location if we get an Italy region because i said so))

Larry smokes; he almost always refuses to smoke at work, whether is his salary job, his gym work or at the Elite Four Tower - the one time he smoked at work was at the Elite Four Tower, ( it was a hard day) and he almost instantly got caught by Hassel

For as emotional and as sweet as he is, Hassel is the most passive agressive man alive; case and point - he will bring up Larry's smoking any chance they're alone, hoping to subtly annoy him into quitting ( this does not work)

Giacomo and Arven become good friends once Giacomo starts going to school more often (Arven has a Mabosschiff, you know Giacomo is gonna be all over that)

Giacomo has ADHD (chaotic music child my beloved)

Atticus is Autistic ( BECAUSE JUST LOOK AT HIM)

The Gym Leaders in order of age are: Larry/Brassius, Ryme, Kofu, Tulip, Katy, Iono and then Grusha (who's in his early 20's)

In terms of including the Elite Four: Hassle is the absolute oldest, Rika is a bit older than Grusha, and Poppy is obviously the youngest. Geeta falls between Kofu and Tulip.

Geeta absolutely drags everyone away on a fully funded week-long vacay every year - that one random episode of Brooklyn 99 style

Larry is just as bright and interesting as the rest of his coworkers, he's just awkward about it.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional, take everything I say with a grain of salt. All I did was do some research and paid attention in science class when they were talking about homeostasis. Also, this is a long post, brainrot kicked in and I decided to just keep talking about this.

It is about to be midnight where I live and I need this brainrot question answered PRONTO!!! (I answered it myself because I got more curious the further down the rabbit hole I went)

So- what are the logistics of being a vampire??? Like- in general.

Everyone keeps saying that "vampires are cold" but that would imply that vampires stop pumping blood after turning. This wouldn't be the case since in the redactedverse there are instances (*cough cough* Adam) of vampires draining other vampires.

Unless Adam bit into every artery in his maker and sucked it dry, I doubt Adam would have a chance of draining someone with no blood flow. I would like to point out that vampires go for the main arteries (neck, wrist, etc.) to have the blood come to them so they can feed easily.

I searched it up and this is what I found:

"Because a vampire's body essentially "dies", it no longer conducts heat the way a normal human body does."

Basically, after turning vampires go from warm-blooded to cold-blooded. Though, the way they worded it had me wondering, "How do humans conduct heat?" So I searched it up.

Now, I'm really confused. Vampires don't usually eat, and I'm not sure inactive organs are going to emit heat. (as you can tell I really want there to be a chance at a warm vampire)

More research- this time I'm looking at the redacted wiki fandom, to refresh myself on the effects of turning on the person's core. I can't trust too much cause the Wiki fandom is a lil messy but I should've known that if a person's powers are muted, the core is also muted-

So it's not the core, and it's not the bloodstream that warms them up. The only thing that would warm them up is feeding. And there's the real question- how specifically do vampires feed? Do they bite in and swallow the blood to digest it from there? Or do their fangs suck it up and bring it directly to their bloodstream somehow?

The first way would be very inefficient and take longer for them to fully feel the effects of being full. As well as the fact that the nutrient, oxygen, and water in the blood needed for them to survive would already be digested enough to flow to other parts of the body. As a result, vampires would most likely drain their "victims" before they realize they are full. They also would most likely need hella lot more blood than is portrayed in redacted to survive.

The second option is a little more intuitive. It would be a lot quicker, and at the rate that the body pumps blood around (one blood cell can travel the entire body in a minute), the needed nutrient would get to the body in time for the vampire to feel full. Though, I'm not sure the blood would stay warm for that long. Depends on how much the vampire takes. It also poses the question "Do vampires make their own blood?" I'd think so because they heal quickly but at the same time I don't because they fuckin drink the stuff. Another question would be how they get the blood from the fangs to the bloodstream, but they also grew fangs so technically anatomy changing around isn't out of the question.

This has already taken two hours of my life we're not even going to talk about how much blood is actually needed to satiate a vampire's hunger for a day- let alone a few days to a week.

So, looking at this scientifically, yes, vampires can be warm, and not just after feeding. They can also be warm digesting human foods even though they don't get anything out of it. As long as something passes through the digestive tract I think that's enough to get the chemical reactions or whatever going. Would a wine glass of blood be enough to keep a vampire full? no, but it's a nice thought.

Obviously, this is all fantasy, do whatever you want, I just like thinking about the logistics of things, and the fact that I live with a nurse (my mom) doesn't help lol

hello! How are you doing? I’m curious about the little guy you called Stringbean in the Rai and Lai drawings. First of all he’s adorable and I love his design, but I’m mainly curious about what his species is and what they’re capable of? And what sort of role does the little guy and his species come in? I hope you have a good day/night! thank you!

Hey! I’m doing well! I had a lovely 2 day break from classes (weird break schedule or something) and thoroughly enjoyed drawing for like 12 hours straight. Then the weekend came and i ended up working the entire time, haha. How are you?

Just gotta sort through some note for this ask--

What is he?

Stringbean (aka Snoot Snoot) is a little snake-like species (Verimor) in my Brainrot AU that shows up in Arc 3/the Sentinel Minx Arc. Like all creatures (Vitafons)on his planet (Vitafona), he is capable of absorbing energy through emotions.

Some Vitafons have a natural affinity to feed off of one energy type (negative) over the other (positive) and are therefore more dangerous, but they are not exclusively limited to one type over the other.

An overindulgence, especially of negative energy (on purpose or accident) can trigger changes in personality, especially when young.

EX: a natural disaster triggers masses of animals fear and panic

Vitafons are not like traditional animals. While they are physical, they’re mostly made up of the energy they consume throughout their life. The energy they consume at the beginning of their life can greatly impact their natures growing up.

They can also live for varying amounts of time, depending on the specific species. Stringbean’s species can live for a super long time (like hundreds of years) while others only last a few months.

Vitafons need to consume energy fairly regularly, but in smaller amounts as they get older. When young, the more energy they consume, the faster they grow!

What can he do?

Aside from the emotion absorption thing, he can also spit acid! His cheeks can swell up like chipmunks before he spits. He also uses the tendrils on his neck to sense and absorb energy (from other creatures/plants/etc) while he flies around through the air.

He’ll get more abilities as he gets older.

His role?

Vitafons are the pinnacle for Sunstar’s argument with the Virens that it should be possible to create an energy source that does not exclusively use either positive or negative emotions (like a hyper energy crystal). Vitafons are the species the Virens based their emotion-to-energy-conversion science on in the first place, after all. I like to think that the Virens were similarly wasteful to humans before traveling the stars and happening across planet Vitafona Then, their entire civilization/society got rebooted to adjust to their new scientific discovery.

Snoot Snoot himself is found by Minx as a baby after some sort of traumatic (but completely accidental) event happens to him. During this time, she has no idea how she’s supposed to handle any kind of Vitafon, let alone a Verimor, but does as humans do when they see the equivalent of a kicked puppy and immediately goes baby-mode trying to comfort him. Next thing you know the snake-puppy’s imprinted on her as a secondary caregiver and follows her around whenever she shows up on Vitafona.

Lai did also try to kill Snoot Snoot in the beginning, just as Slur had trained him to do, but Minx was not having any of it. This is how she learns that when the Twins see a young Verimor (or Vitafon in general) showing signs of excessive exposure/absorption of negative energy, Slur tasked them with killing it before it could become a problem to other Vitafons. When brought up to Duo, however, the twins discover that Slur was never permitted to kill any of the creatures, only to log their behavior. This serves as one of the first big reveals to the twins that Slur is not quite the saintess she pretended to be.

You can hear the purrimg... and feel.. and like nuzzle against him and hes melting

Agjklf Omfg these are fantastic, Chatty Anon! Thank you for this, I love them. :D You're completely right, Hank's definitely like a big cat, probably covering your entire body with his as he smothers you. You can't hear or feel anything except for him as he presses as close to you as possible, with his loud purrs echoing in your ears and the coldness of his jaw as he nuzzles into you. He's so happy with your invitation that you can even feel his hands trembling against you.

Deimos would probably find himself the happiest he's been in a long time when he's lounging in your lap (only after getting over the shock of you making the first move for some affection for a change). I can see him laying down on you with his arms wound tight around your waist, purring as he buries his face into your stomach and you pet him. He's just so happy to have all of your attention like this, even more so because you wanted to do this with him wholeheartedly. It's a definite sign that you must return his love for you (something that all of them take from you wanting to cuddle with them, tbh). He'll even reach up and put your hands back on him if you stop for a moment, just a total lovesick puppy who's aching for every touch you're willing to give him.

And Sanford, he's so incredibly sweet with you. It's hard to believe that he's an experienced mercenary and trained killer from the way he's softly purring while he pulls you closer to him, almost to the point where you're half in his lap. You can hear his heart beating when you rest your head on him and he makes a cute flustered noise when you wrap your arms around him and squeeze him affectionately.

I'd also like to add that Doc would totally be purring the entire time he has you in his lap. It's a lot softer than the others' are so only you can hear it, and he generally tries to control when he purrs happen since he finds it a little embarrassing to show a "baser" instinct like this (especially since it can be construed as a weakness, depending on who he does it around). But he can't help it when you're with him like this, his genuine happiness and love for you just makes him surrender to it. He also probably gives you little forehead kisses if his mask isn't on and holds your hand the entire time too. (It slows his efficiency at his work but he doesn't care in the slightest.)

what's your writing process? how long does it usually take to come up with an idea? what about actually sitting down to write it? love your writing❣

This will get long… apologies in advance. Thank you for taking an interest in my writing! I want to be clear about it and answer any possible question. We do it once and right, since I’ve been asked this twice now but haven’t answered. Haha. Bear with me.

I like having ideas to select from because not every request is interesting for me to write. I pick and choose depending on what jumps out and gives me vision, so the waiting time varies for you too. Don't expect your request fulfilled depending on when you sent it. I don’t do this in order.

As for the process:

I check the ideas you hand me as soon as I can so I can ruminate and toy with them while I cook or do banal things. Later, I pick which ones I’m interested in exploring, and I draft them here on tumblr. Sometimes - and I much prefer this - a request will give me an immediate overall vision. It pretty much gets shortlisted and goes to my drafts right away.

These drafted prompts then become the current subjects for me to then spend time thinking of wherever I’m free so that I may spend less time actually writing them. Makes sense? Basically, I spend more time thinking than writing. They’ll just pour out of my fingers as soon as the overall gist is complete in my head. This is key. It’s a waste of time to sit there and write with no prior thoughts and try to type… nothing.

I don’t use any other app to write these things. I do it all here on tumblr using my iPhone. Sometimes, it’s just an idea for a title (somehow that matters a lot to me idk why), sometimes it’s a single passage, a single line. Whatever it is, no matter how little, I write it and save it as a draft. That one title or line becomes a basis, a theme, upon which to expound on later. For example—with “Sol,” the requester wanted s/o to ask to be turned. The first idea came to me as s/o having something to lose just to be with Adrian. So, they became to me the personification of the sun—cause vampires can’t go into the sun. With that, naturally, the title became obvious: “Sol” or Sun. Then from there it was easy to make references to darkness, of vampirism being the opposite of the s/o being a being of light, and that in the end they are willing to lose it for love.

You’ll notice that my stories are posted at around roughly the same window/hour of the day. That’s because that’s the time I usually idle around in bed so I get the chance to check my drafts and edit/proof-read an already completed story/HC, find a gif, then post. So I’m a couple stories ahead of publishing.

For a short one-shot of a request that’s specific and clear, it’s easier and faster for me to finish, hence why I ask that you be as specific as possible so I get to your request faster. Why? You did the thinking. I’m just doing the doing :p (and adding/changing things).

I usually word-vomit the entire request in one sitting. Say, 30 mins to 1 hour max for a longer story. Just a couple minutes for headcanons.

If I actually took longer to write before posting, I might actually be able to give you better writing… but I’m sorry, we live in the fast lane over here :p cause the brainrot might go away. Gotta keep it moving to let it fester. Hah.

oh these are exams administered not by the school itself but uh. by a company. who charges like 90 dollars per exam. that you statistically will probably not pass. and everyone buys into it because at least taking the course shows you try hard. which helps you get into a good university. better if you scored a 4 or 5, which then again you need to pay to report to Each School You Apply To

when will the collegeboard (this company) get competition that knocks it off its fucking high horse

yeah im taking calc ab which is like. calc 1? and calc bc is calc 1 and 2 in the same amt of time? maybe its bcs all the smart kids go into calc bc is prob why the pass rate is good

oh yeah uh, the grading goes like ... this. they have very strict guidelines on how to grade. so for frq (free response question) if like any of x, x, or x are true, score whatever number it tells you to. if the response gets past those and if any of x x or x are true, score a 6 or smth. and whether the response reached that, depends on the ap graders, who are stuck into this huge place in like idk minnesota and they just grade all day. all day. like they have a quota of like 200 or 300 exams to go through and grade. for mcq its either right or wrong the computer can grade that they prob just scan it all in the scantron

for language yeah it depends on the teacher and how they prepare you for the test over the years you learn the language idk if you did the STAMP test or whatever but i got like one of the top scores in the class for speaking, a 5 5 6 7 (reading, writing, listening, speaking) so technically i have a good chance at ap japanese exam but am i going to sit through sensei's class for another year? hell the fuck no.

i have no idea where they got that, because i was like "tf is happening" this entire year. so like i don't know. but i passed.

ANYWAYS waaaaa ive been taking a break so its really hard for me to accept that i am hardworking even though a lot of people say so? maybe its because like every time i slack i get scolded by someone at home LOL but ive been resting the last 6 days so yeah (spring break)

thankyouuuu if i gibe up all my hobbies i really wont have anything left for me so i have to just. idk find some way to enjoy at least one of them and stick with it till i find something that brings me a lot of joy again 👍🏻someday

Hello!! I listened to your Jared Hopworth playlist the other day and really loved it! Was wondering if you share your thoughts on why you picked some songs/how they relate to him. Basically I just want to know how you see him lol Thanks for your time!!

Anon I am holding your hands in my own so earnestly as I say this but THANK YOU for this ask and thank you for enjoying my playlist!!!

You sent this ages ago and I was very excited about it! And then school and life immediately sapped all the energy from my body, BUT—

I am always so very down to talk about my boy he holds a very special place in my heart. Also you said some songs but I’m just. I’m just gonna break down the entire playlist cause now I have an excuse

But I’ll put it under the cut bc I’m going to talk a lot ✨

(also cw for some brief discussions of emotional abuse and general Flesh-related stuff below)

ANYWAY. Onto the brainrot:

1. Dirty Town - Mother Mother

So this one is up first ‘cause it’s a song about being dissatisfied with where you live, wanting to leave and go somewhere else, etc etc. I saw that kind of dissatisfaction in Jared a lot through his statement in MAG 131, where he talks about not doing well in school or really seeing a future for himself, as well as Sebastian’s comment in MAG 17 about Jared thinking Sebastian leaving him there was “something of a betrayal.” (Though I know this song is more small town/country and Chiswick seems like a pretty bustling area lmao so the vibes aren’t exact)

2. Be Nice To Me - The Front Bottoms

So this song is perhaps The Jared Song Ever. It’s just *chefs kiss* perfect. Like the accidental (or purposeful) destruction of self to fit a narrative assigned to you so that you inevitably become a self-fulfilling prophecy?? How that behaviour ends up destroying good relationships and pushing people away but you’re in too deep to really reverse course??? It makes me think about Jared and Sebastian’s friendship breaking down as they grow apart and change as people but still aren’t able to fully rid themselves of like. That childish fondness you still have for your old friends. (You’re gonna find I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about Sebastian Adekoya also)

3. Angel Eyes and Basketball by Foot Ox

Once again I am thinking about Jared becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy of anger and acting out and not being able to stop it.

This bit in particular reminds me of how Jared said he went through friends pretty fast, and how Sebastian was probably his only true long-lasting friend. But even Sebastian couldn’t stay and try to help him forever.

4. Father - The Front Bottoms

I have a lot of thoughts about Jared’s parents honestly, particularly his dad, most of which are me projecting. I won’t get into too much of that mess however I do think about the bit from MAG 131 where Jared says “But they were scared, and that felt good, even back then. It felt right. My Dad was proud of it too. He was a short man, bully, and watching me loom over people really made him happy.” And I think about Jared simultaneously having a strained relationship with his father while also doing everything he could to make him proud, even if that meant being just as much of a bully as him.

5. Days - The Drums

We’re circling back around to his relationship with Sebastian with this one. I think as dismissive as Jared is when addressing Sebastian in his statement during 131, Jared had kind of grown to depend on him for a lot, emotionally speaking. Kind of the break when you’re talking about someone’s only real friend growing up. The song itself is pretty upbeat so I’m reaching a little, (and I’ll reach pretty far ngl) but I do think about Jared feeling like he’s finally lost the only person that actually cared about him when Sebastian leaves for uni, so now he’s got to go it alone and abandon that childhood friendship.

6. Brave as a Noun - AJJ

Ngl I think about “And God knows I could make amends, But I’ve got an angry heart”, in relation to Jared realizing he’s tearing apart the one good friendship he ever while simultaneously not knowing how to Not Do That so often. I firmly believe that Jared and Sebastian actually legitimately cared about each other, but Jared was heading in a direction Sebastian couldn’t save him from and it ended up destroying their friendship.

7. Bullfighter Jacket - Miniature Tigers

Surprise surprise I am talking to you about Jared and Sebastian’s friendship once again with this one. This ones a bit of a “I’m reaching/it’s really just one lyric” sort of song but I think the vibe is good for them.

This bit in particular makes me think about like. Jared in the process of realizing that the way he’s turned out is driving away his best friend, but he doesn’t have any sort of identity outside of being a general menace. This is all he’s got, and he’s sticking with it, but he also doesn’t want to lose Sebastian. So this turns into him seeking Sebastian out to be a menace to him directly cause it’s the only way he knows how to connect with people anymore.

8. What Can I Do If the Fire Goes Out? - Gang of Youths

This song is part of my agenda to get more people to listen to the rest of this album besides Achilles Come Down (ironically also on this playlist but we’ll get to that later.) Anyway stream Go Farther In Lightness. But REALLY this song is about abandonment, and Jared is just. Rife with abandonment issues. We know this, we love him, maybe go to therapy king <3

Anyway struggling to maintain connections but ultimately losing them or questioning whether or not you really needed them in the first place really fits in well with him I think.

9. Garden Song - Phoebe Bridgers

Ohhhh the passage of time and dwelling on old wounds that are healed over but not forgotten, just made peace with. Plus it’s about gardens and growth and if you’ve read any of my other long winded “I’m very emotional about Jared rn” posts you’ll know I have BIG feelings about Jared’s domain being a garden. I’ll spare you that whole emotional rollercoaster here but personally I think Jared can have,,,, a little healing. Not that I’m projecting very hard onto this monster man or anything but I think the implications of him “growing” things in the end speaks for itself.

10. Misery Fell - Tally Hall

This song is in here for Sebastian! Honestly I’ve fleshed out Sebastian’s character a lot purely based on my own unhinged headcanoning, so this one especially might seem like a reach since it’s mostly based on my own interpretation of a character we only get a single statement from. But I think this song’s story about a town with a unique relationship with books and knowledge and an outside force that changes that relationship very suddenly fits well for him.

11. Bad Habits - FIDLAR

This one is really just what it says on the tin, it’s a song about bad habits and why someone might engage in them, how they can provide comfort despite their unhealthiness and prove themselves to be really hard to break. And it’s got that extra flavour of being scared/uncertain about your future that I think informs a lot of Jared’s character. Plus I think I could see Jared liking this song in-fiction truthfully.

12. I Wanna Get Better - Bleachers

Okay so this song in particular is entirely my very specific interpretation of Jared’s character that is,,, mostly projection. Look, I know what canon says but We’re Not Looking At Canon right now. And in my heart of hearts I think Jared did have the capacity to heal and get better, and because I think writing him off as something purely evil and inhuman does a disservice to the character. So this song is mostly *recognition of self through the other* from one former big angry teenager (me) to another (fictional) former big angry teenager.

13. Trouble - Cage The Elephant

This one is also mostly vibes based but it’s got a weariness to it that I associate a lot with s5 Jared. Like if we think about it— Jared is in his forties or thereabouts by the time MAG171 rolls around. There was a lot of violence and acting out and physicality to most of his earlier appearances that aren’t really reflected in 171. He does threaten to try and get a “few good hits in” when Jon shows up to smite him, but think about how quickly he lets go of that?? I’ve mentioned this in other posts but I genuinely don’t think that earlier seasons Jared would’ve backed down in that situation, even if he knew he’d lose, which just goes to show how much he’s changed by the time s5 rolls around.

14. Skeleton Appreciation Day - Will Wood and the Tapeworms

This one just feels very Fleshcore honestly, both with the focus being on bones and also the theme of body image/intimacy issues. Like I love the butcher aesthetic believe me, (just look at my main TMA oc lmao) but sometimes I think people forget the other areas and fears that the Flesh extends to. But that’s a whole other post honestly I could talk about how reductive the fandom gets with the Flesh just as much as I could talk about how reductive they are with Jared LMAO

15. Body - Mother Mother

Listen. I am not immune to The Flesh Song Ever. I’m just SAYING if the shoe fits HHEHDHFHF

But rlly a lot of the notes from the last song apply here too. One day I’ll write a rambling post about the Flesh itself..... one day

16. Real Men - Mitski

This song was given to me by a mutual (hi Calvin if you’re reading this) and OH the toxic masculinity hurting inward as much as it does outward and how that reflects in Jared’s character is just.... so fitting. Like I think on the surface level most people get that Jared’s character is informed a lot by toxic masculinity and how it’s taught and learned and ultimately rewarded and encouraged. Jared learns from his father that it’s good to be strong and mean, good to put others beneath you. He’s rewarded for being like that to the point where when that strength stops serving him he doesn’t really have any other place in the world, which ultimately makes him a perfect candidate for the Boneturner’s Tale.

17. Achilles Come Down - Gang of Youths

Ik for a few weeks there this was everyone’s blorbo from my shows song (and rightly so, it fucks, once again listen to the whole album I am BEGGING—) but I think it fits Jared well bc of the self-destructive tendencies and hopelessness on display here. Jared said it himself in MAG131, he couldn’t see a future for himself, he was just acting out bc that’s all he had left. The one person who he thought actually cared about him (in his eyes) betrayed him and left him behind too. And I like this song bc it’s being sung from the perspective of someone trying to prevent Achilles from jumping. Makes me think about how Sebastian very well could have done his best to keep Jared on a good path, keep their friendship together, but ultimately there comes a time where the strain is too much, and you have to let a person go.

18. Just Take My Wallet - Jack Stauber’s Micropop

This is. The MAG17 song. This Is It. Jared’s mom is another character I think a lot about, but that shouldn’t be surprising at this point if you’ve actually made it this far into this post. I think she was as much a victim of Jared’s father’s “bullying” as Jared was, and based on Jared’s recollection of her I don’t think she took a very active role in making sure Jared was protected from that. But I think people forget that she was one of— if not the first people we know Jared tested his powers on. And I think often about how she saw what this book was doing to her son and the monster it was turning him into and she STILL somehow managed to get it away from him to return it to the library. She ultimately tried to protect her kid from what the Boneturner’s Tale was doing to him. Also this bit??? This bit at the end??????

Is this Jared talking about Sebastian leaving him? Is this Sebastian in the years that follow Jared’s disappearance wrestling with the guilt of bringing the Boneturner’s Tale to him and hating it for taking his friend away before they could even attempt to reconcile their friendship? Either way I’m distraught!

19. I Guess It Could Be Looked at as an Escape, or as a Chance to Start Over - Flatsound

So this song doesn’t have any words, but from title and vibes alone I thought it followed song 18 really well. Because if you think about what the Boneturner’s Take offered Jared it *could* be looked at as an escape or a chance to start over. It was the lifeline he needed to escape what he was certain would be a bitter and miserable existence, though of course it didn’t come without cost, so the melancholic and lonely sound of the song itself reflects that really well.

20. Banks - Lincoln

Another song given to me by a mutual! (Hi Hope :3c)

This is a more recent edition and I forgot to actually arrange it in the playlist BUT REGARDLESS this one circles back around to Jared and Sebastian bc I think way too much about the two of them before MAG17. This is once again a lot of wishful thinking a projection that maybe Jared and Sebastian could have worked things out. Theres an AU in my head where they actually manage to talk and sort things out when Sebastian comes back from university

☪ KARL LITERALLY NEARLY TORE APART THE DOORS IN WEREWOLF (AND JUST REGULAR FUCKING HUMAN) FORM BEFORE ACTUALLY OPENING THEM LIKE A CIVILISED INDIVIDUAL

☪ Heisenberg literally kept you up until like 5am girl

☪ He had zoomies all the way until the moon set which is when he crashed

☪ And he crashed HARD

☪ It was like the entire night he’d been using energy he didn’t even have

☪ You were also fucking exhausted from the shit-show of the night before so you both cuddled and slept all day and effectively ruined your sleep schedules for a while

☪ Mf didn’t even remember half of what happened

☪ Karl was just glad he didn’t get violent tbh

☪ In all honesty you might have preferred if he did, rather than turning into a literal stray puppy with an annoying amount of energy

☪ It’s safe to say that you kept yourself up to date with the moon phases and events after that <3

☪ Supermoons are one thing, but they aren’t the only moon events you’ve experienced during your time with Karl

☪ Thankfully you had been monitoring moon events for a while before you realised a blood moon was coming up

☪ Karl told you there was nothing to worry about with the blood moon

☪ I mean obviously he’s only ever experienced it alone (and probably had no idea it was actually a blood moon) but nonetheless he insists that you shouldn’t worry

☪ Of course, you didn’t believe him, and geared yourself up the entire day

☪ You followed Karl’s every move, never taking your eyes off of him

☪ The moment the moon rose, nothing happened

☪ The hour following the moon rising, nothing happened

☪ You were becoming confused which annoyed Karl to some extent

☪ “What the fuck were you expecting to happen?”

☪ He sounded much more annoyed than usual but you understood that you’d been hovering over his shoulder all day

☪ But the weirdest part was that even after that tiny interaction Karl was showing symptoms of wolfing-out

☪ You decided not to point it out to him, knowing it wouldn’t help the situation, so instead you just kept an eye on him

☪ Small inconveniences would piss him off easier than usual

☪ Overall he seemed far more impulsive than what regular “Karl standards” could be defined as

☪ He seemed to be... leaning on his wolf-instincts an awful lot

☪ When you asked Karl if he was going to go out to the forest (like he does on most full moons) he actually became quite defensive

☪ “What’s that supposed to mean, (Y/n)? Trying to get rid of me or something?”

☪ His tone suggested that it was only a lighthearted joke but he didn’t express that very well visually

☪ It didn’t take you long to realise that the blood moon was doing all of this to Karl

☪ He was moody, impulsive, and practically on the verge of wolfing out the entire moon

☪ It was almost as if Karl was trying to fight with his wolf-instincts (making him not want to transform and just overall be on edge)

☪ Of course... you pointed this out to him after the blood moon had completely ended and there was no longer the risk of him wolfing out

☪ You thought he was moody during the blood moon? girl just wait until the super blood moon

☪ Imagine the overabundance of energy before coupled with extreme impulsiveness of an angsty werewolf

☪ You thought he was going to have another case of the zoomies but it was... quite the opposite actually??

☪ Like previous blood moons Karl refused to transform but he was absolutely still hopped up on energy from the supermoon

☪ Man was literally unable to sit still, constantly bouncing his legs or pacing around the room

☪ “Why don’t you just transform? You can go and let some steam off, then-”

☪ “If I go into the forest now I actually don’t think I’ll ever come back, (Y/n)”

☪ You laughed but didn’t want to test his theory

☪ You weren’t sure why blood moons brought out Karl’s wolf instincts so much but it sure as hell was annoying to put up with, especially when he refused to transform

☪ For instance he would comment on every smell in the room

☪ “You’re being too loud!” and stuff like that

☪ God he is so moody

☪ “Can you not sit like that?”

☪ “What? Why?”

☪ “It’s annoying me.”

☪ “How is it-?”

☪ “jUST PLEASE CAN YOU SIT A DIFFERENT WAY”

☪ Little things like that will set him off and you can tell how desperately he’s trying to not wolf-out

☪ Not that you’d care if he did

☪ You understand that the moon tends to have a lot of control over Karl’s emotions so you try not to blame him for the way he acts

☪ But seriously who the fuck complains about someone breathing too loudly

☪ Karl you need therapy or sumn

☪ He also just tends to use his wolf instincts as a crutch without meaning to on blood moons

☪ He hates that he does and it’s a contributing factor to why he doesn’t want to transform

☪ But also Karl just gets it into his brain that because he’s relying on his wolf instincts a lot more during blood moons it means he’s gonna be more aggressive when he’s a werewolf

☪ I mean not true at all but at least he cares

☪ Super blood moons are the worst because he gets annoyed simply by the fact that he has so much energy

☪ Gets angry that he’s bouncing his own leg or crossing and uncrossing his own arms

☪ Like girl nobody has control over that but you so idk

☪ Though most of the day is normal, the very moment the eclipse itself starts you begin to notice things out of the ordinary with Karl

☪ At first it’s nothing more than him seeming a little more tired than usual

☪ After about a quarter of the eclipse he starts yawning a whole lot and even starts to get the sniffles

☪ His condition only worsens from there, getting more physically tired and even sick as the eclipse progresses

☪ At about the halfway mark he’s almost completely bed-ridden (or more fittingly, couch-ridden) by normal standards

☪ As I’ve previously mentioned he’ll try and continue to work as if there isn’t an eclipse happening and like he’s totally fine

☪ Three quarters of the way in he’ll tend to give up and let you take care of him

☪ Karl always makes it out to be him ‘allowing’ you to take care of him but in reality he can barely move and doesn’t have much choice anyway lmao

☪ He quite literally never gets sick so it’s funny to you when a solar eclipse rolls around

☪ When the eclipse it at it’s totality (or really anywhere from three quarters onward) Karl finds it impossible to transform

☪ Even if he could he’d be too tired to anyway lmao

☪ Remember the blood moon business? yeah well imagine the exact opposite of that and you have blue moons

☪ The weird thing is Karl generally cannot remember anything at all during/proceeding a blue moon (when he can usually recall what happens during other wacky moon events)

☪ He tends to become more ‘grounded’ and ‘authentic’ during blue moons

☪ That’s the only way you’re able to describe it honestly

☪ It’s like he no longer has the urge to hide any feelings he might have (about anything, really)

☪ He is very very blunt and doesn’t filter anything out before he says it (which honestly just sounds like regular Karl lmao)

☪ I mean you in no way hate this it’s just kind of outta pocket for Karl which makes it a little confronting

[📃] NOTE. . ! my first contribution to the tomorrow x together tag. in summary, it was a great experience after a ‘popping star’ brainrot. it’s not my best work, but it has a special place in my heart.

"I told him I like someone else and he said he didn't care! I swear, Soobin hyung is a handful. He needs to calm down."

Kai's eyebrows lined up together as they met, nose flared up, and ears red in embarrassment. Revisiting the incident that took place earlier made him feel so irritated that he just had to start an hour-long rant to his best friend, Beomgyu. And Beomgyu lets him as he always does.

It's not news to Beomgyu when people chase his best friend like their lives depend on it. At first it was just the girls trying to win Kai's heart with oddly creative and adorable tricks (one have confessed through a radio show and that was the talk of the school for the entire week) but all hell broke loose when he announced that he was queer. Beomgyu didn't even know if it was possible for the gifts and confessions to double in numbers, but it did. Now there's a lifetime supply of plushies in the boy's room and enough chocolates to feed a whole village.

It was too much for sure. But he doesn't blame them for falling for Huening Kai.

How can he when he's smitten as well?

Even just now watching and "listening" to the boy's long rant about Soobin or whoever it was, he could barely process any words in his brain. All he could think of was how adorable an irritated Kai looked. Face flush and bottom lip jutted out to form a pout—fuck. He's adorable. Beomgyu had the urge to lean down and trap the lip between his own but he knew he'd be crazy if he allowed himself to do that.

Beomgyu was Eve and Huening Kai was the apple in the garden of Eden. No matter how much he tried, it was impossible for him to not want more than friendship with the other. He wanted to do more than just friendly hugs and belly rubs—he wanted cuddles in bed, hear him say ''I love you' in the way he did, and he wanted kisses.. lots of it.

But the fear is there. It stops him every single time.

In a world where everyone falls on their knees for Kai, how will the boy think he's different? How can he prove that it's not an 'I like you because you look pretty and if we have babies they will look pretty too' I like you, but rather an 'I like you because you make me happy and I want to give you the same happiness you bring me; I'm in love with you' I like you?

And another thing that's hindering him from just spilling everything out his guts was the realization that Kai meant the world to him, and one confession can change everything that they have. The friendship, the cute good morning and good night text, the care they give each other, the way Kai runs to him first whenever someone good or bad happens—is he ready to risk all of that for one confession?

No.

He made himself believe that this is enough for him now. Just the privilege to be Huening Kai's best friend—he should stick with that and be a constant in Kai's life. However, hearing what the other just said (that he almost didn't catch because he was too busy gawking at the stars in Kai's eyes), his heart fell to his stomach.

"I told him I like someone else and he said he didn't care!"

"Wait.. You l-like someone?" He asked, silently praying that he just misheard. But when Kai nodded to confirm the information that surfaced, it rendered him speechless.

Beomgyu thought of this beforehand. He wasn't dumb and he knew one day Kai will have to feel the same way as he does and for someone else. But fuck. This is so much easier in his mind than in real life. He has never felt pain this great before—like everyone unanimously decided to burden him with all the pain in the world and he has no choice but to accept it like it's nothing in front of who caused it.

Kai was glowing. His eyes disappear to line a crescent shape as his cheeks tug a smile on his lips. It was the prettiest sight Beomgyu has seen but it brought him no solace. He didn't mirror the smile and instead resorted to looking down on his hands that are resting on his lap. There was a small voice at the back of his head urging him to confess then and there—this was his final chance. But how can he? Huening Kai has never looked so happy like this and who was he to ruin that?

Sniffles escaped him as he looked up to see Kai leaning closer with a frown. His fingers brushed delicately on the soft skin under Beomgyu's eyes and slowly dragged it down to let one of his hands fully cup his face. He's too close. Beomgyu was so lost in the depths of Kai's eyes that he didn't even know he was crying the whole time.

"Mind telling me why you're bawling like this?" Kai whispered for after what it felt like an eternity, still holding into Beomgyu's dampened cheek.

Beomgyu leaned into the touch, couldn't find his voice within him no matter how hard he tried, and instead memorized the other's warmth that was shared with him. His lips brushed on the palm that held him and that tore his gaze off the other's eyes and into the pinkish skin just a few inches away from him. Kai's lips were so close that one nudge can make his dream of having his best friend as his first kiss come true, and the tingly feeling of Kai's stare reciprocating his didn't help.

"Hyung.."

"I like you close to me like this."

"Me too."

This is it. A situation where Beomgyu has to ask himself again if he was ready to take the risk. His heart beats loud in his ear that we swore Kai could probably hear, and it's blocking the very thin strand reminding him of why he never confessed in the first place.

When Kai moved his thumb to caress his cheek, the strand broke.

Beomgyu needs to kiss Kai. Now.

Not thinking about the consequences and his fears, he closed the gap between them and felt fireworks when he bit a whole mouthful of stardust.

Sk8 headcannons because brainrot pt. 2

- everything Reki has ever taught himself has been because of the wonderful world of YouTube tutorials

- Kojiro wanted to get his ears pierced in highschool like Kaoru, but he didn't do it because he was afraid of tarnishing his image (which is ironic when he gets a massive tattoo later in life)

- Langa doesn't like cats because he thinks they're mean

- there’s a stray cat that lives near Langa’s house and even though he doesn’t like cats, he leaves out milk and some fish for it sometimes because he feels bad

- Langa has never had a pet except a goldfish he won at a carnival once that he managed to keep alive for four years somehow.

- Kaoru technically needed glasses in high school, but he didn't wear them because he just didn't care at the time (until his vision grew poor enough that it affected his skating)

- Miya gets called a furry by Reki on the daily

- Reki has some knowledge in video editing and has considered starting a YouTube channel

- Langa has a diary, something he started after his father died. At first he didn't really know what to write, so he would just talk about his day, but eventually he got to the emotions part. The diary was especially useful during his fight with Reki in which he was trying to figure out his emotions (it was also useful when he realized he might have an itty bitty crush on his best friend)

- Joe is the biggest dad friend of the group in terms of doting on the kids and giving advice and stuff. Both Reki and Langa come to him often for advice, and Miya hangs around his restaurant a lot.

- Langa has one (1) succulent that he has managed to keep alive for three years. Its name is Gary, and it may not be the prettiest, but it is not dead yet!

- Reki never tells his mother when Langa is coming over and she's trained herself to just expect a lanky Canadian to be wandering around her house at any time.

- It took Kojiro a really long time to figure out his sexuality (and that's valid!!)

- Hiromi has been hopelessly in love with his manager for three years and has tried on multiple occasions to confess to her, but either something interrupts them or there's some sort of misunderstanding about it. Those are his more violent nights at "S".

- After befriending Reki, Langa and Miya, Hiromi is a little more careful about his tools of sabotage during beefs (and he lowkey feels guilty for injuring Reki in the beginning)

- Kaoru and Reki are actually closer than one might think. Reki ends up asking him for advice just as much as he asks Kojiro.

- Reki can't do something mundane without his ears being occupied. He ends up listening to music or podcasts a lot when he does chores or is working on a board alone (but if Langa is there with him, he'll talk his ear off instead).

- Miya's family isn't particularly bad, they're just a little distant. They assume everything is okay because Miya's so successful with school and skating, and they trust his integrity (which makes it very easy for him to sneak out to "S"). He doesn't really talk to them (or anyone, really) about his struggles.

- When Miya and Koyomi meet, he shows her all his video games and suddenly Reki's little sister is a gamer girl

- Langa almost wore a long-sleeved top to the beach and Reki had to go make him change before they left ("you'll melt in that, are you crazy?!")

- Kojiro knew damn well that Kaoru had a business trip and that the gang was going to the beach, but all other parties were unaware. He just decided to tag along as to not be left out.

- Kaoru trims his own hair, as he finds salons to be ridiculously overpriced for those with long hair

- Reki dogsits for his next door neighbor sometimes, they have a shiba named Onigiri (rice ball).

- Kojiro’s pennant was a gift from Kaoru and he wears it literally all the time except in water (so it doesn’t get ruined)

- Reki’s father is pretty absent, so Oka takes it upon himself to look after him

- Langa occasionally picks up odd jobs in order to help his mom out with finances

- Langa’s favorite animal is dolphins. He had a phase as a child where he read like fifty dolphin books and it was his entire personality for a few months. Despite this, he has never actually seen a dolphin irl

- Reki takes really good care of his nails and Langa… does not. He bites them and it annoys the shit out of Reki to the point where he’s just like “please… just let me file them for you” and Langa relents despite the fact that he hates the sensation of getting his nails filed

- Reki sometimes talks to Langa about getting depressed and one time Langa is like “yeah I getchu” and Reki is just like “heh?” And Langa says “I mean my dad died and I was in counseling for like months after that before I came here” and Reki is just like “oh”

- Langa is Reki’s bi awakening and it takes him a hot second to figure that out

- sometimes Langa pretends to be more oblivious than he is, either for shits and giggles, or to obtain information

- Kaoru knows exactly how to seduce women, and occasionally uses this to his advantage. It just sucks because he’s not into women.

- Reki is super observant, but whenever Langa does something that’s an indication that he likes Reki, he’s just like “WELL MAYBE IM OVERANALYZING THIS CANT BE REAL-”

- Langa (in general) doesn’t feel the need to be super secretive about anything. He’s honest (sometimes brutally so) and doesn’t always think twice before he says something. This can be both good and bad depending on the context.

- Reki doesn’t sleep a lot. He literally has to go to bed past midnight, he absolutely cannot fall asleep earlier. He gets up at 6:30am every day of the week, even weekends. It’s just how he’s programmed.

- Kojiro used to go to the public gym before Kaoru commented about how unsanitary that was. Ever since then he got freaked out about going to public gyms (especially as someone who works in food services) and cancelled his membership. He bought his own equipment and works out on his own now

- Reki knows how to do rainbow loom. His sisters had a phase with it.

- Kojiro drew on himself with pen when he was bored in school.

- Miya has a habit of eavesdropping on conversations he’s not meant to hear

Alrighty, it's been a while and the Deadpulse!au of yours has finally started to brainrot for me. care to share the juicy details?

Okay so, first off i'd like you to appreciate the name for the au, obviously it's a reference to Impulse's name, and him being "dead", but it's also bc his actual pulse (like hearbeat stuff) stopped, so therefore it's a dead pulse, ta-daa!

The idea was based on a one-shot i read once, where Impulse dies, but there's a glitch and his soul respawns while his body remains, so Zedeath has to drag him back to his body. I'll try to find it later so I can properly credit.

So my premise is pretty similair; Impulse dies (prob to a creeper but might change depending on whether or not i can come up with an angstier idea), his totem of undying goes off but there's a glitch, so instead of all of Impulse being revived, only his soul is. And in this case, there isn't a Zedeath to help him return. So now he can't talk to people or otherwise interact with the world around him, though he can phase through blocks and stuff, it's a bit like he's stuck in spectator mode.

He tries to tell people what happend, but to no avail. Impulse's body lies somewhere in the middle of the forest for days, until finally, finally, somebody finds it. Who it is I'm still not sure, just that it probably won't be anyone from Boatem or team ZIT. Maybe Bdubs, maybe Iskall, maybe Ren, maybe somebody entirely else, who knows, certainly not me. I still gotta figure out who I can get the most angst out of with this hehe.

So the hermit runs and tells boatem, who freaks out because, they haven't seen Impulse in a while, they assumed he was afk at a farm but obviously he wasn't, so how long has he been out for? How long had he been laying there? Obviously, Zedaph and Tango are contacted, and Xisuma as well, but...

X can't figure out what's wrong. He's checking the logs, the world code, the players' data and... nothing seems amiss. Impulse is still shown as active, although afk, and X can't figure out why he won't wake up, why his body seems to be dead, no heartbeat, no breathing, no nothing. The option of killing Impulse and simply hope he respawns is brought up, but quickly shot down. They can't risk it, after all maybe that would just make things worse, would kill Impulse permanently... Besides, you can't kill a body that already is dead, Cleo reminds them. So the hermits are left clueless, with no idea what they should do.

And Impulse? Well, Impulse gets to watch as it all unfolds. He gets to watch as his friends deseperately try to bring him back, and Impulse hopes so much that they succeed, he wants to wake up from this nightmare he's stuck in, where nobody can hear him, nobody can touch him, where he is powerless to do anything. He gets to watch as some of his friends eventually give up, seemingly accepting the fact he's gone, and he tries to yell, scream to make them listen to him. He watches as they mourn him, hurt because of him, how the server seems to become almost bleak and lifeless, and he gets to feel guitly over it. He tries to be there for them, to offer them some sort of support, and sometimes it almost feels like it works. He gets to watch how some friends still try to save him somehow, gets to watch how the admins, especially Xisuma, work themselves to the ground to try and find out just what exactly happened to him, ignoring their own health and safety in the process, and he gets to feel guitly over it. He tries to tell them to stop, to take care of themselves, to bring them to their senses, and sometimes it almost feels like they listen to him.

And then, eventually, he gets to watch as they move on. His friends are still sad over his loss, of course, still miss him, but it's been weeks, maybe months, and life goes on, and so should they. He gets to watch as they slowly get better, slowly start to heal, and seek comfort in each other. Hermitcraft slowly but surely returns to what it once was (it'll never be what it once was, not with one of them gone, they will never be able to completely let go), with pranks being played again, minigames created, silly little wars waged, and the hermits letting themselves be happy

And maybe, Impulse thinks, he should feel scared, should feel angry, should feel betrayed, but all he can feel is an odd sensation of... relief. Relief that his friends will turn out okay after all, relief that he didn't ruin their lives, relief that the pain he caused wouldn't be everlasting.

And maybe, he is scared. Maybe he is terrified, that he'll be stuck in this limbo forever, that he will be nothing more than an observer to the hermits' lives, that he will never be able to participate in life again, but he pushes that fear far far down, ingores it as best as he can, because he wants to focus on his friends, who are happy and okay now, and he should stop being so fucking selfish-

And maybe, after months of being gone, he returns. Just like that. And suddenly he has a body again, and he can talk and touch and feel and it's all too much and he doesn't know what is happening and neither do the hermits but he's back now so it's okay, everything's okay.

Right?
