Pairing: Gareki X afab!Reader

Synopsis: On this Valentine's Day, a certain group of people decided to hang out at a carnival. Despite not wanting to, Gareki couldn't say no to his girlfriend, could he?

Word Count: 1,057

[Name] is happy with the holiday, it is Valentine's. Her friend, Yogi, invited her to celebrate Valentine's day in a carnival together with her other friends. [Name], Nai, Tsukumo, Gareki and Yogi went to the carnival together after they ate breakfast. They were fascinated to see the whole carnival in heart decoration, well, everyone except for [Name]'s boyfriend, Gareki.

"Are you sure that we're going to celebrate Valentine's day here? It has too much heart decor, it's awful." The ravenette said in disgust as his brows twitched in annoyance, staring at the over-decorated carnival.

"Don't be like that Gareki, it's Valentine's day, after all. Right, Yogi?" Nai told the male then turned at the blonde prince who nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, Nai's right. Aren't we here to have some fun?" The [h/l] [h/c]-haired girl placed her hands on her hips.

"Fine, just don't force me to try the rides or drag me somewhere. Cause you know I hate this place!" Gareki 'tch-ed' then crossed his arms.

"Okay! That should do. Let's go there, everyone. That looks fun!" Yogi cheered as he pointed at a game stall that has Nyanperrona as their prize.

"Really?" Gareki sweat-dropped.

"Yay!" Nai also cheered as the three walked to the stall.

Gareki sighed then looked at his girlfriend right beside him. "Aren't you going as well?"

"Nah! I won't leave my boyfriend behind." She giggled. Gareki blushed slightly and averted his eyes away.

"O-okay then, let's go..." The ravenette grabbed err hand then walked towards the group. [name] can't help but giggle at his cuteness.

[Name] and Gareki finally caught up with the rest of their friends. They were playing a shooting game, and by the looks of it, Yogi is bad at shooting. Nai even tried but ended up empty handed. She can't help but giggle at how much they sulk after failing at it.

"Oh come on! You two can't even knock out a single can!" Gareki sighed then grabbed the gun out of Yogi's hands. In a swift movement, he knocked out all of the cans in the pyramid.

"Woah!" [Name], Nai and Yogi awed.

"Here." a yellow cat plush toy was shoved in front of her face, she looked up to see Gareki holding it out for her.

"Thanks, Gareki. I appreciated it," she accepted the gift then hugged the toy.

Gareki smiled at his girlfriend being happy. They moved on to another stall. This time, they went to a claw game named Valentine's Bunny. Knowing that her favorite pet is the prize of that game, the [h/c]-haired girl dragged her friends towards it.

"Nai-kun, you try first," Yogi pushed a coin inside the machine as Nai controlled the claw. He is near the opening when the lavender bunny fell down, leaving him empty-handed again.

"Don't worry, Nai. It's your first try after all," you reassured the boy who seemed down after his failure.

After Nai, Yogi tried to win the bunny 3 times in a row but failed miserably. Tsukumo tried 2 times and she won one yellow plush bunny and a white one. She gave them to the blonde and albino as they cheered for having a plushie. This time, it's [Name]'s turn. She inserted a coin and begin concentrating, she moved the claw then it stops and picked up a [f/c] plush bunny, successfully, they claw grabbed the bunny and going up once again. Herr hope was high when she know she will be winning her prize. But when it finally return back up, the claw shook and the bunny fell back down. [e/c] orbs went wide after seeing that she didn't win her prize.

"Hey, you alright?" Gareki asked as he noticed her eyes glued to the bunny inside the machine.

She gritted her teeth then slammed the machine on its side, before cursing the claw with such venom in her voice. Everyone, including Yogi, Nai, Tsukumo and Gareki were dumbstruck. Her anger paralyzed their body as they had all the eyes on her, sweat appeared on Yogi and Gareki's temple.

"Damn!" she hissed before pulling away from the machine.

Gareki waited a few moment before taking his place in front of the claw. He looked back at her, coin ready in his hand. "I'll win the bunny you want."

"Really?" her [e/c] hues lit up, her previous tantrum gone.

"Sure."

"But be aware, that damn crane is such a cheater." she warned, crossing her arms, the Nyanperrona plushie in her arms.

"Okay."

Gareki had his focus on the claw as he moved it across the other side to pick up the [f/c] bunny that [Name] loved so much. Once the claw is aligned with the plushie, he waited for it to steady before dropping it down. The claw successfully grabbed ahold of the bunny, and as it reached the top, it shook, but the plush didn't fell. [Name] felt happiness surged inside of her as the bunny come out, Gareki took the plush and gave it to her.

"Here."

"Oh! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much, Gareki!" the [h/c]-haired girl squealed then took the plush from the ravenette's hands. She placed it over her chest and squeezed it tighted, hugging her favorite bunny. "I love so much!" she took a quick peek on her boyfriend's lips before returning on her hug session.

The male's face flared red after the kiss. Yogi, Nai and Tsukumo watched from a safe 3 feet distance at their cuteness and romance.

Pairing: Gareki X afab!Reader

Synopsis: Ever since Gareki was taken in by Circus, he keeps heading butts with the princess of the organization. However, on this fateful night, true feelings between them emerged.

Word Count: 1,460

"Rion... everyone... I'm sorry, I just can't stop myself..." [Y/n]'s sobs echoed through the dense clearing. She stood still in the middle of the clear field near the forest as she looked at the full moon above her, it's light shone down to her [h/c] ombre hair and gave off a sparkle. 'I thought I can finally close my emotions away.'

"Why are you here?" a familiar voice entered the female's ear as she tilted her head to look back at the male, her back still facing him.

"Oh... it's you, Gareki-kun," the girl returned her gaze towards the dark skies as she reached out her left arm towards the moon.

"What are you doing?" Gareki questioned as he walked towards the girl. "Did you not sleep?"

"I always wake up at this time, especially when the full moon is up," [Y/n] stared at the bluish-white moon and admired its light. "You know, my surname came from the moon."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Gareki stood behind her and waited for explanations.

"When I was still a kid, I lost my older brother in an incident. One day, a mysterious group of people ravaged our hometown. They killed everyone and took my brother. I saw how they awfully beat my brother when he tried to protect me while I escape. I regret doing so, but staying with him would be a death wish. That's when I lost my first and original family..." [Y/n] retreated her arm and smile sadly to herself. Remembering the painful memories. "I grew up alone and decided to find shelter and food. I tried to beg people from other villages to give me at least a piece of bread, but no, they are too selfish to give something."

"Weak and tired, I came upon an orphanage during the full moon—where it was at its highest peak as its blinding bluish-white light shone down upon me. There I was rescued by twelve children the same age as me. They were the orphans of that orphanage, and so they also decided to take me in."

"They treated me well and we get along with each other, and they became my best friends and I treat them as my second family. They asked me about my name, and so I answered them my name. Though I don't remember my surname at that time, and they called me Moonlight."

[Y/n] touched her ombre locks and let it follow the wind. "They told me once: 'Your hair resembles the full moon when where we first found you. We will now call you [Y/n] Moonlight because of it.'"

"Having them as my family really is nice. When we got older, we decided to leave the orphanage, but we weren't allowed too. One night, the same mysterious people from before appeared and destroyed the village. They murdered innocent people and burned the houses down. I and my friends escaped, and luckily, Hirato-san found us."

"He instantly took us under his care for years. And with a clear desire, I joined Circus to kill those bastards that took my older brother. My friends also joined, and since Hirato-san told us that we have unbelievable capabilities and skills, he formed the Special Resonance Ops."

Warm tears ran down [Y/n]'s cheeks as she continued to smile at the memory. "Our mission is to kill Vaguras and gain information about the Kafka. And of course, Hirato-san put me in charge. My friends called me Mistress Moonlight and they called themselves Twelve Knights. They always treated me like a princess—like a royalty to be protected from any danger."

"But of course, every up has its downfall..."

Gareki listened attentively to her. [Y/n] turned her heels and looked at him with tear-stained cheeks accompanied with a pain-filled smile. The ravenette was taken aback and in an instant, he realized what she meant earlier this afternoon.

'You don't understand how much it hurts to lose your very family twice because of those damn Varugas. If you felt how much it hurts, then that's the time you should judge me!'

He realized that this girl standing in front of him experienced greater pain than he felt. He lost his foster brother, Yotaka, and foster older sister, Tsubaki. But [Y/n]'s case is graver than his. She lost her older brother, and still, her new family also died—her best friends. Without any hesitation, he pulled the ombre into his embrace and placed his chin on the crook of her neck. [Y/n]'s eyes widened in surprise at his actions, but then slowly, her eyes fluttered close. The tears that are building on the corners of her eyes escaped and fell down to her chin. Her teeth were gritted as she tried to suppress her sobs. Her arms found its way towards his back and gripped the jacket that he wore. Gareki looked down at the ground with his softened sapphire hues. A flashback of his family dying entered his mind and soon sent pain in his heart. His brows were knitted together as he closed his eyes, teeth gritted as he held her tightly.

'Damn!'

"I'm sorry..." he whispered, burying his face deep into her neck. "I'm so sorry..."

[Y/n]'s eyes widened in surprise to hear Gareki apologizing. She only met him a few days ago but learnt a lot about his personality, and she knows that Gareki isn't the type of person to apologize. She closed her eyes again as her sobs stopped, rubbing Gareki's back in circles.

"It's fine, Gareki-kun. You don't need to apologize." The girl nuzzled her face unto his shoulder as she removed the tears from her stained cheeks.

"No, it's my fault. I am selfish and hurt your feelings. I opened the painful memories that you locked away before. I should have known about you before saying stupid things." Gareki pulled away and placed his hands on her shoulders, staring deeply into her eyes. "I should really apologize to you because of it."

Gareki hung his head as he muttered his last statement. [Y/n] unconsciously touched the ravenette's cheeks. He lifted his head slowly and touched the warm, pale hand that was on his cheeks.

"I forgive you, Gareki-kun." She smiled at him.

"Yeah, though the guilt is still there." Gareki told her. "I'm really sorry."

"It's fine, I understand." Ocuri chuckled slightly.

"You look weird when crying," the ravenette removed the tears from her eyes and cheeks with his hand.

"I know. That's why I never cry." The ombre sarcastically replied, rolling her eyes and crossing her arms.

"Though, I would like to ask a favor."

"What would that be?"

"Open to us more."

Her [e/c] orbs widened in surprise after hearing his unexpected request. It took her a while to process what he said.

"Please..." Gareki took her hands into his as he pleaded. "You don't need to bear all the pain alone, we are here to help you."

"I-I...." The girl averted her gaze to avoid any eye contact from him. She gritted her teeth as she tried to fight back tears.

"Everyone is worried about you after your friends died. You locked away your emotions away and never tries to make strong bond with them because you are afraid of losing them again."

"H-how you know that?" she snapped her head to face the male as her eyes widened in shock.

"Jiki told me."

"Oh... I see..." her [e/c] orbs softened as he bit her lower lips. After a while, she hung her head down and leaned on Gareki's chest, hugging him. "I-I'll try to open up to you guys again..."

Gareki smiled wholeheartedly as he wrapped his arms around her back. "Don't worry, we will be here for you."

Standing from afar were the members of the Circus. Yogi, Juki, Tsukumo, Hirato, Kiichi, Iva, Tsukitachi and Nai watched the two from afar. They smiled to themselves knowing that the mistress of the special resonance ops is feeling well once again, and most of all, she will open up once again to them.

"[Y/n]-chan really has a horrid past." Nai muttered out loudly to himself, feeling sympathy for the girl.

"Yeah, Ocuri experinced the most pain here in Circus." Hirato said.

"That's why she locked herself away from us after the twelve knights die." Iva added.

"But I'm happy to see that Gareki-kun made her change her mind." Yogi stated.

"[Y/n]-chan deserve to be happy. And we are here to be with her." Jiki said as he smiled.

"You're right." Kiichi added.
