Well, you asked for it. Haha XD Putting it under a cut because this is long! sorry not sorry

First of all, PrapaiSky has, in my opinion, god tier relationship development. Prapai starts off as a total fuckboy, who is creepy to say the least, who becomes just the best boyfriend one could ask for to his Sky. I’ve described Sky before as a traumatized little bumblebee and I think it holds up. He can be prickly, standoffish and even downright mean, but he is also funny, fierce and an extremely loyal friend. He actually goes through the trouble and trauma of calling his ex to find out where the illegal street race is supposed to be taking place because Rain wanted to break in so he could fuck some shit up for Phayu. Sky, underneath it all, just wants someone who will love and cherish him. He has so much fear and anxiety and even depression linked to his romantic past. The way he acts is helpful in deterring most people, but Pai is not most people. XD

They start as a one night stand, that only happens because Prapai makes a bad (semi) joke/proposition after Sky chases Rain into the illegal race track. Sky needs to be able to leave without security taking him away and, it is implied, doing him physical harm/possibly killing him. Pai says he can get Sky out of the race but Sky has to do something for him. Implying but never outrightly stating that what he wants is sex, to which Sky agrees because he doesn’t want security to get him. This in itself does boarder on sexual cocertion, which is a big ass yikes, though it is clear through context clues that while Sky might not be happy to be put in this position, he definitely enjoys the sex, though he does not have a high opinion of Pai afterward. Which honestly, would anyone? I know I wouldn’t haha. Of course we realize later than even if Sky had said no to Pai, Pai would have gotten him out anyway because Pai is a lot of things but he is not that kind of asshole.

Ngl, Prapai is pretty creepy towards the beginning of his persuit of Sky. Like the first episode or so of their story (ep8 for the series as a whole), I want to smack Pai across the head and tell Sky to run very far away. But that does not last long and as soon as Sky realizes that Pai is just your home grown, organic, garden variety fuckboy rather than the actual scum of the earth that his ex is, he is more open to at least spending time with him, since Pai is so persistent in his persuit.

You see Sky is a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor, a fact he has told literally no one since it happened. Not Rain, not any of his friends, not even his dad. It’s often why he acts the way he does. He is very afraid to let anyone, including his friends, get to close to him emotionally. Prapai blatantly doesn’t listen to any of this, and keeps pursuing Sky because he genuinely wants to know Sky and wants to be with him. He is so tight lipped about it that he hasn’t even told Rain his ex is a guy. He doesn’t tell Pai about his past until the last episode, after Sky’s ex attempts to sexual assault him.

It’s around the time that Sky gets sick that you really start to see the kind of couple they will become. Sky gets sick due to his trauma. Sky begins to have nightmares around this time, which starts to cause panic attacks as well as insomnia. It is in part because of Pai insisting he be allowed to woo Sky. Pai still does not know about Sky’s trauma and thus thinks that Sky is just a tough nut to crack but if he keeps going he can do it. His smile is just so adorable that you mostly forgive him for his crimes, though I did side eye him a lot during these first few episodes.

One of the things I love about this part though is that, if you pay attention to what Sky is thinking about the whole situation, it ultimately isn’t even really about Pai, more the idea of history repeating itself. Sky’s self esteem and self worth, understandably, takes a pretty big nose dive in the wake of what happened to him and the things that Sky says to himself point to him not believing that someone like Pai could actually have feels for him, that there is no way Pai is serious about all of this. He just wants to have fun and get some sex out of the deal. Which is a big problem for Sky, because he, a) already knows exactly how good at sex Pai is and (I think anyway) would definitely be down for a repeat performance and b) is actually starting to really like Pai. He likes that Pai had an easy going guy who, on the surface at least (not just on the surface Sky), just wants to get to know Sky and have fun with him. He likes that Pai doesn’t react when Sky is mean to him, just teases Sky about it. He likes that Pai tries to bring him meals because he knows Sky is a college student in a really competitive faculty. He is terrified that he will get in too deep and fall in love again only to have the rug ripped out from under him and be left more broken and more damaged and more unloveable than he already believes he is.

Sky ends up fainting in class, which freaks the hell out of his friends, which are another friend group that I love, though they do not have enough development in my opinion. The problem is, because they are all in the same faculty, they have a lot of responsibilities in terms of school work and getting everything they need done. Sky can be excused because of his illness but the rest of them can’t. Rain ends up calling Pai to come and take care of Sky because someone needs to stay with him and Sky’s father doesn’t live close enough to Bangkok to come and Rain has too much school work that he won’t be able to finish if he tries leaving to get it and coming back. To Rain, Pai seems like the more logical option, since Prapai isn’t in school and thus doesn’t have those responsibilities. As well, Sky knows Pai and Rain thinks (only somewhat incorrectly) that they are close enough that Pai is an ideal choice to be Sky’s caretaker.

Pai gladly agrees and proceeds to take the best care of Sky he knows how to provide. Dude literally googles how to take care of sick people at home and even calls his mother because he doesn’t want to fuck anything up. The sick montage is so fucking adorable. As Sky starts to get better and better, the two spend more and more time together. Like Pai actually calls the president/CEO of his company (aka his dad because of course haha) about needing time off and ends up doing a whole bunch of work at Sky’s dorm so he doesn’t fall behind but also doesn’t want to leave Sky. The man dotes on Sky like Sky is the more perfect being in the universe (as he should!). Sky, for his part, starts to realize that Pai isn’t like his ex. That Pai is much better than his ex. He’s still not sure how much he’s willing to believe but oh boy is Sky falling even harder than he was before. It is definitely a “Prapai fell first but Sky fell harder” situation going on. It’s the best! At one point, Sky wakes up in the middle of the night to see that Pai has fallen asleep next to him on the bed, laptop open, papers everywhere, because Sky was holding his hand (because nightmares) and he didn’t want to go anywhere. Sky goes to touch Pai and ends up accidentally waking him up. Pai realizes the way he fell asleep and goes to clean up his work papers, only for Sky (who was pretending to still be asleep) to grab his arm and pretend to be having another nightmare so Pai wouldn’t leave. Don’t try and tell me my boy isn’t already completely gone over Pai, because you would be wrong! Boy wants to be close to Pai, but at this point, doesn’t have the words or courage to ask for the kind of physical and emotional closeness that he craves. With Pai caring for him though, he is slowly starting to find the words/build up the courage.

The funny thing is that Pai basically ends up a squatter in Sky’s dorm. He ends up there all of the time. To hang out with Sky, to eat with Sky, even just to sleep (which Sky makes him do on the floor haha). At one point, he manages to get Sky to agree to go out on a date with him and they still end up back at Sky’s dorm after. This also leads to one of the best of their romantic scenes. Prapai tries to draw wind on a piece of paper, and later Sky’s hand, but can’t because he was a business major, not an art student. He doesn’t know anything about art (Prapai’s brother, even makes a comment to him about how Pai would skip art class when he was in high school). Sky ends up also drawing an image of wind on Pai’s hand and Pai literally traces an image of it and gets his brother to make him a lapel pin of it. Boy is so fucking corny that when Sky sees it for the first time, Pai tells him it’s so everyone will know who Pai belongs too. Corny, but effective I suppose because while playfully embarrassed, it is VERY clear how much Sky loves the idea. Boy even shows up at Sky’s school during the end ceremony for the freshmen week, just because he heard from Phayu that it was going to go on all night and he was worried about Sky getting sick again because he is still recovering (which to be fair, literally all of Sky’s friends are worried about the same thing).

Even the rare time he ends up actually going home, Pai still ends up at Sky’s dorm. Granted it was because he thought something bad was happening to Sky…well he wasn’t wrong, just not the kind of bad that Pai was expecting. Sky got an extra assignment that day that was due the next day and that he will definitely not finish in time if he doesn’t have help…so he calls Pai, who races over because he thinks Sky’s hurt or dying and yeah no, he’s neither of those things. It’s also the first time we see him get angry with Sky and even then, boy manages to keep an absolute lid on the whole thing. It’s easy to tell he’s angry, but he keeps calm and explains to Sky that Sky needs to explain better when he panicking and he calls Pai. You know, cause Pai is very glad that Sky would think to call him and will definitely come no matter what, but god damnit don’t scare him like that next time Sky! Haha. Healthy communication! That’s the way to do it. And of course because your boy is a simp, he still helps Sky’s complete his assignment and even drives him to school the next day.

According to Pai, the whole thing is worth it because Sky kisses him. It’s a really cute scene where Sky asks what he can do to make up for making Pai panic and Pai jokes that as punishment, Sky should kiss him. He very clearly does not expect Sky to do anything of the sort, which leads to an adorably shocked expression when Sky actually does kiss him, pictured below. Boy even manages to score some more points when Sky tells that a single kiss, especially from Sky, sounds like a shitty rewards for helping him. Pai tells him that different people put different value on stuff and Sky is priceless to him. 👍👍 You go Pai, you win over your boy with corny lines and earnestness.

All of this happens around episode 10, which along with episode 11 are two of my favourite episodes of the series. These two episodes are, for the most part, the two of them existing in their little love bubble, getting to know each other and learning how they fit together. We get to see them develop their communication skills with each other a lot more, though it definitely isn’t perfect. In episode 11, Sky makes his last ditch effort to drive Pai away…by making him clean the bathroom in Sky’s dorm XD. Despite not really knowing how to clean a bathroom, Pai does it anyway, and then, on Sky’s orders, tidies up Sky’s entire dorm room. Pai wants to prove that he committed to Sky. But honestly who wouldn’t be, Sky is fucking amazing. Pai is committed to showing Sky that he’s in for the long haul, that he isn’t going anywhere any time soon, no matter how much Sky tries to push him away. He wants to be around Sky for as long as Sky is willing to let him be. It’s to the point where he almost refuses Sky when Sky finally says he’s giving in and is willing to have sex with Pai.

Sky literally gets on top of him and takes off his shirt and ya boy Pai is still trying to explain that he doesn’t want just sex from Sky. He wants Sky’s everything. He gives in though and the two of them have sex (read make love) because of course they do. Pai might be a lot of things, but he is not going to turn down sex with Sky, ever, for any reason. If his Sky wants sexy times, sexy times they shall have. This is also the nc scene where my icon comes from. It’s my favourite shot in this entire show. Fort and Peat act their asses off and you can really feel about much they love each other even if Sky is not ready to admit that he loves Pai just yet…and all they do is stare into each other’s eyes. I’m an deceased, bury me now, I am so gone for them it’s insane. I have no rational mind left. Leave me in this second, to stare at them as they looking into each other’s eyes. So much love unspoken but both know it’s there, even if they aren’t ready to fully talk about it. (I am in a glass case of emotion!!)

Episode 12 is…a wild ride. There are happy times, blow jobs if you watch the extended box set version of the episode but there is also the final test of their relationship which is literally Pai’s fuckboy past coming back to haunt him and Sky trying desperately to detect himself from Pai as a result. It all in the end leads to the endgame of the episode, which is Sky (after breaking up with Pai earlier in the episode) going back to his dorm for the first time in days, to find Pai has somehow got in (my money is on Joy, the dorm manager and grade a gossip who has been enabling Pai since day one, though Pai says he ‘found a key’ 😒), waiting for him. Turns out, yeah he found Sky’s journal and ends up reading out loud.

It’s a scene that I love because it completely lays bare what Sky has been thinking the entire time. How much he loves Pai, even though he doesn’t have the courage to say it out loud. I also hate it because it is completely heart breaking as Sky spends so much of it desperate for Pai to stop reading it out loud because he doesn’t want to be reminded of what he was thinking when he dared to be happy with Pai. Poor boy believes himself to be so unloveable that he genuinely questions if there is even a way for him to get Pai to only pay attention to him, to not get bored of him, to only love him. Like he could almost believe Pai was before he saw Pai seemingly cuddling close to someone on a couch at a party they had gone too. It was definitely a bone head move on Pai’s part, to allow his old hook up to get that close to him, but he also spends the entire scene attempting to gently disengage the other boy from himself so he can get back to Sky. Pai might have a master’s degree but he is also dumb as hell sometimes and is often nice to a fault and doesn’t want to be rude to the other boy. But remember, Sky is very traumatized little bumblebee who jumps to conclusions because his trauma takes over…trauma Pai still doesn’t even know he has!!! (Seriously, at this point the only thing Pai knows is that Sky dated someone in high school, that that boy is responsible for the nipple piercing that Sky no longer has in and that the relationship between Sky and his ex ended badly…that’s it!) (Side note, Pai is just obsessed with Sky’s nipples. This never goes away, not that Sky seems to have much of a problem with it beyond token protests lol).

This is also their “I love you” scene. After he finished reading the journal, Pai tells Sky that he loves him, after faking him out by saying he doesn’t like him anymore. (Seriously what is it with Pai and Phayu. Both used this tactic when telling Sky and Rain that they liked him. Rain almost cries, Sky actually cries.) Despite it all, I can’t get too mad at Pai for this. Again, Pai is many things, but his patients is not infinite and a little petty revenge when he’s still angry enough to say it, well I get that. After he confesses, he asks Sky how Sky feels about him, to which Sky, still kind of sobbing, though in relief at this point I think, admits he is also in love with Pai. Such a happy scene but even then, it still does break my heart a little as Sky also begs Pai not to leave him. Pai answers that he never will, and we as the audience definitely knows that’s true but it is still sad to hear Sky say it. Pai is a simp, there is no other word for him. Boy exists only to love Sky at this point…well he also works for his dad’s company and loves motorcycle racing but really that’s all secondary to just how much he wants to shower love and affection on Sky.

The two talk it out. Love to see them engaging in that healthy honest communication (takes notes Kim!). Sky might not be over his trauma, but even if Pai doesn’t know about it to reassure him and help him tackle it head on, Sky knows that he’ll be able to get through it as long as he has Pai and as long as he knows Pai is committed to him and loves him. Pai is never not going to be committed to you Sky, you have nothing to worry about.

We even get a shining example in episode 13 when after having another nightmare, Sky calls Pai and asks if he can come over. Pai literally drops everything (he was racing that night and if I recall correctly, doesn’t do a race because of Sky’s call. Not a big deal, but it definitely shocks Phayu) and races over (hehe). This show actually has one of the only real aftercare scenes I can remember seeing in a bl, as Pai help Sky to clean up after they have sex. Score another point for Pai over the asshole ex, as the ex never did this for Sky ever and always made him do it himself.

Look at the smile on those boys faces! They are so blissfully in love, it’s rotting my teeth as we speak! Of course this means that something else has to come in a fuck shit up and boy does the asshole ex ever fuck shit up. The first time Sky wants to go an watch Pai race, he runs into the asshole ex (who’s name is technically Gun, but I’m sticking with asshole ex). We get lots of flashbacks about their relationship and we get the full picture and turns out that not only is the ex an asshole, he also could be considered a groomer…As he was a fully grown ass man when they met, while Sky was 15-16. I think the asshole ex is about the same age as Pai and Phayu. The ages in this whole show are funny but if we assume that Pai is about 24-25 in present, than the asshole ex can’t be older than that, but is likely around the same age…which means he was at least 21-22 to Sky’s 15-16 when they ‘dated’. (The ages in this show really are fucky. We know Rain is 19 at the beginning of the series, but we never find out if Sky is older or younger than Rain. I’m inclined to say older but who the hell knows but they were likely born the same year. That puts Sky at 19, but also time has pasted since the start of the series, and they’re in their second year of uni now but no birthdays have been mentioned so ahhhhh! This is also one of those times we can’t use the actors ages as Fort, despite playing the older Pai was 21 when they filmed this series while Peat, playing Sky, was 25).

Long story short, the asshole ex all but kidnaps Sky. He comes up with an extremely convoluted plan to get Sky away from Pai, by tricking Rain into believe Pai is asking him via security guard, to take Sky back to his condo as Sky was saying he wasn’t feeling well (which after seeing the asshole ex, I would have said the same thing). Rain goes back to the race and Pai, being the absolutely amazing attentive boyfriend he is, realizes that someone lied to Rain in an effort to get Sky alone and together with Phayu and Rain, races to condo to save Sky.

There is a heavy trigger warning for abuse/IPV and sexual assault in this episode. While what happens in episode 8 is mild and could be considered either way depending on how you interpret Pai’s intentions and Sky’s reaction/actions, there is no such confusion with this episode. The ex gets Sky alone with the express purpose of fucking with him and assaulting him because he really is just that horrible of a person. Despite saying he “threw Sky away because he was bored of him” he still wants to continue to ruin Sky’s life because Sky finally felt safe enough to begin the long process of moving on. There isn’t any actual assault, the weather boys manage to get there before anything happens and stop him. With Pai almost beating the asshole ex to death. The only reason he doesn’t it because Phayu begs him not too. (You should have just done it Pai, the fucker deserves it.) There is however a flashback where we see the beginning of when the asshole ex’s friends (yes plural) assault Sky while asshole ex watched. It is difficult to watch, so proceed with caution.

Sky has gone kind of catatonic and Pai is the one who manages to get him to respond. He also takes Sky home, like to his family home, not to Sky’s dorm, where Sky is finally able to be honest with Pai about what happened to him. It’s a heart break but also heart warming scene. Listening to Sky explain in his own words what happened is heart breaking (like I cried the first time I watched this scene), but Pai’s response is heartwarming. Sky spends a lot of time insult himself and I absolutely love that Pai never tries to tell him he’s wrong. Like Pai knows Sky is wrong about the way he sees himself. He knows Sky isn’t broken or trash or any other awful thing he might call himself, but Pai also knows that just saying “no Sky you’re wrong, you are not those things” isn’t going to help in that moment. Sky will not respond well to being told that. So instead he is quiet and he listens. Really listens and affirms that he is there for Sky, that he isn’t going anywhere, that Pai loves him and Sky can love Pai. That Pai is the only one who gets to have Sky while they are together. (Another trauma by the asshole ex is that the ex tells Sky, right before he’s about to be sexually assaulted, is that he is bored of Sky and so he is letting his friends have his now broken toy…I really hate this man so much. Side note though, the actor who plays the asshole ex does such a good job. I really want to see him in more things, though hopefully not in a villainous role this time haha).

It’s a really amazing scene and once again Fort and Peat (especially Peat) brings their absolute a game. You really feel for Sky. Like I always wanted Sky to have nice things the whole time, for him to be able to move on, but after that scene. It increases tenfold, especially when you realize that while Sky’s life is not magically going to get better, he is not going to just wake up tomorrow and not be traumatized, he is going to be able to move forward. He finally has the support, space and feeling of safety he needs to truly be able to move on, not just for Pai or his father or his friends, but for himself. He wants to get better for himself and Pai is committed to making sure he is there every step of the way. Pai is committed to making sure that Sky knows that “the wind will always protect the sky” (not sure if that’s the direct quote from the show, but I’m pretty sure it’s pretty close).

I really honestly love both couples in this series, but something about PrapaiSky has me in a chokehold. The growth the two of them have, not just personal growth but the growth of their relationship. They go from being this couple where one doesn’t know if he actually even wants to have sex with the other/wants to have him around/feeling like he needs to push him away to protect himself and the other is pushy and only barely respects the others boundary to a couple that understands each other and are there for each other. They figure out how to communicate with each other in a healthy way. They learn about each other, to respect each other. They confide in each other. While PhayuRain seems to be aware of some details of Sky’s past in the special episode, I definitely get the feeling that Sky never really tells them the whole truth about what happened to him. They know the broad strokes but nothing in detail while means that for better or worse, the only person Sky ever tells everything too is Pai. I know that Sky will have the courage one day to tell his father, and probably Rain as well, but that day hasn’t happened yet.

Prapai actually does a pre-proposal to Sky in the special episode. Telling him that he wants to marry Sky one day, really marry him. Pai really hopes that same sex marriage will be legalized in Thailand soon because he wants to be married to Sky in the eyes of the law too. Partly to get married but also partly to make sure he can continue to take care of Sky in the future, the way any legally married couple can. Pai also tells Sky that he is completely willing to wait until Sky is ready. Whether it’s after Sky graduates from school, or after he gets his first job or builds his first house, he doesn’t know, but when Sky is ready, he’s going to proposal for real. The thing that endears me to it even more, is that Sky even asks what will happen if he’s never ready. Pai just tells him that that’s okay because he’s going to take care of Sky forever.

Pai makes it clear from day one that he wants to be with Sky. By his own admission, it was mostly about sex at first. Sky was that one night stand that he couldn’t forget, but Pai realizes very quickly that he doesn’t just want sex from Sky. He wants anything and everything that Sky is willing to give him. It might take Sky a little while longer to really admit that he feels the same, but he does get there.

Pai is, in my opinion, in a lot of ways, the perfect match for Sky. He is pushy, but Sky needs someone who is pushy sometimes, to force him to confront things he knows he needs too, but would rather ignore. He needs someone who reminds him to take care of himself, to make sure he eats when he’s working and sleeps when he’s tired, even if he is in a time crunch for an assignment. Sky needs someone who will occasionally worship the ground he walks on, to remind him that the things he tells himself in the darkest parts of his mind aren’t true. That he has people who love him. That Pai loves him unconditionally and will not hesitate to show him.

Sky conversely is also perfect for Pai. Pai needs someone who is willing to call him out, who is doesn’t put up with his bullshit but can also be equally as playful and daring as he is. (I’m looking at you board room sex from the special episode and the implication that Sky planned and prepped for the whole thing.) Pai needs someone who forces him to mature a lot, to develop the kind of good communication skills you need if you want a working relationship. Pai needs someone to worship. He needs someone who will take charge occasionally, someone who knows who Pai is and knows how to interact with him better than he knows himself.

I am so not normal about PrapaiSky haha. They are just so good and while they may not be everyone’s cup of tea (and that’s okay) they definitely are mine. Both Fort and Peat do such a good job with these characters and are able to make me believe in these two in a way I don’t think other actors could. I’m going to be rewatching Love In The Air for a long time, and obsessing over PrapaiSky for equally as well haha, and I’m definitely okay with that

Ace 🔥 ❤️‍🔥and Nami 🍊 🧡as a Couple HEADCANONS! *CRACKSHIP*

It's been ages since I wrote One Piece fanfictions and my first time doing anime headcanons! Honestly, I never knew I would ship Nami and Ace together, who are my top favorite characters from the series. Then I realized they are my favorite crack ship as I imagine them as a couple, which is now my One Piece Otp XD! I mean, come on! Ace is hot, badass, and hysterical. Nami is beautiful, badass, and hilarious. Well, fans said Ace has Isuka, and she is from Ace's Adventures novel, but I am more team Nami as always since I watched this series. Also, I need to catch up on watching this series, but I am back into watching it, and yes…I spoiled myself on the series a bit, but it's a long series (don't judge me; I saw a lot of spoilers on the internet. Seeing it as a surprise is magic while watching for the first time, but I fail at it), and it's one of my favorite anime series of all time when I first got into anime. Also, I know (SPOILER ALERT) Ace dies… 😢. But I am keeping him alive in my One Piece stories/one-shots. I never knew I would grow close to Ace, but he's such a great big brother to Luffy, and he's a badass. Also…really attractive as hell😳. But then I imagined him in the Strawhats crew, but only for fanfics if he was alive and why not. Also, Luffy is happy to have his brother with him. It is also a good excuse for him being close to Nami as a Strawhat crew member. Or Nami as a Whitebeard crew member? But here's their headcanons!!!!! You can imagine you are Nami to have Ace or be Ace to have Nami in this headcanon of mine just to let you know. I DON'T OWN ONE PIECE!!

Really care about each other

Got along really well during the Alabasta Arc with Ace as the major ally. (Back then, I skipped forward to see episodes of Ace because I really wanted to see him while I was getting into the series. Well, I feel like I started the show because of him. But I heard it's really good, so I'm watching the series also and I love it. One Piece is one of my favorite anime series.)

Nami was really shy when she was around Ace as he came over to visit, and she started realizing she had feelings for him.

Ace said he likes her, causing her to melt and blush so hard.

Our boy made the first move on the first kiss. He thought Nami was gonna punch him, but she didn't since she accepted the kiss, meaning she likes him back.

Ace is such a gentleman to her (he respects her space and makes sure she is alright). He can be protective of her, but only in fights and dangerous adventures.

Though if the guy isn't listening to Nami when she says 'not interested' or 'I have a boyfriend'...Ace would come over to her aid by telling him off or would beat the crap out of him if he's sexually harassing Nami. Nami would punch her stalker, but sometimes they would dodge her attacks. Nami doesn't mind Ace beating either guy's ass who flirts with her since he deserves it.

Nami would laugh if he fell asleep out of nowhere, as she finds it funny, but he doesn't do it when they are together without making her think he's bored of her. He would fall asleep if they were snuggling together on the bed or couch since they both feel relaxed.

Nami may be greedy for treasure, but she deeply cares about Ace, her family, and her crew. Ace doesn't mind since he knows where she got the nickname 'Cat Burglar'. But he knows the real story of why she cares about treasure.

Nami tells Ace of how Arlong treated her and what her village went through in hell because of him. Ace was furious about how she was treated. Nami then cries as she brings up that story. Ace would hold her as she cries in his arms for her comfort. He lets her know that he's sorry since he couldn't be there for her and what she went through. Nami assures him it's alright and not to feel bad since it's finally over, and she's living her best life out in the seas, making Ace feel better.

Ace telling Nami that he is Gol D. Roger's son was nerve-racking for him. Nami was surprised since she had already known through the news when it was revealed during the Marineford War. She told Ace that she didn't care who his father was. All she cares about is that he is a wonderful and amazing person with the amazing life he deserves, which makes Ace surprised but smile as he hugs her.

Talking about what happened at the Marineford two years ago was hard when Nami saw the scar on his torso and one on his back from Akainu, yet survived. (a devil fruit user comes in with healing powers to save Ace's life, but it costs his savior's life.) Nami tearfully confesses that it was terrifying that he almost died. Ace comforts her and lets her know that he's still here for her. He lets her know that he won't die and will live, making Nami smile.

They would bond over their tattoos.

If they go shopping together, Ace isn't a shopping person but is happy to go to be with Nami. Ace isn't controlling of what Nami wears since he wants her to be happy and comfortable so she can make her own choices as an independent woman. Though she would love to hear opinions from other people for fashion advice, she chose Ace. But Ace said she looks great in everything as she is model material, making her the luckiest girl on Earth.

PDA - They would hold hands while walking around town, and Nami would sit on his lap, or while sitting next to each other, Ace would have his arm wrapped around her waist. However, if someone looks at either one of them based on how good-looking they are (I mean, have you seen them?), they would get jealous and have their arms linked together.

Make out session - somewhere quiet so no one would stare at them.

Ace's favorite body part on Nami is her eyes since he finds them pretty, and he can stare at them for hours.

Telling Rouge was easy by saying, 'You are gonna be a big sister. There's a baby growing in mommy's tummy.' Rouge was happy as her parents smile, but then...'How are babies created?' asked Rougue, making her parents blush really deep red. (I thought this would be hilarious to add! 😂)

Rouge would talk to Nami's pregnant belly, saying how excited she is to meet her baby sibling and wanting the baby to come out soon. Ace and Nami would smile at how excited their daughter is to be a big sister.

When their second daughter Bellemeré was born, the couple were happy to meet her. Rouge loved her already when she met her little sister.

The couple both love that their daughters got along really well.

The couple don't have a favorite child among their daughters. They love their daughters equally.

Ace would use his devil fruit powers to entertain his daughters to their amazement by making fire butterflies.

Nami would have her companion Zeus to give them a ride on his back to fly around to their enjoyment.

Their daughters look like their parents. Rouge looks like her father with his freckles and yet looks mostly like her late grandmother/Ace's mother. She has Nami's hair color. Bellemeré looks a lot like Nami but has Ace's hair color.

Ace and Nami can be the papa bear and mama bear when they protect their daughters from danger.

As their daughters get older, Rouge becomes a Pirate Captain of the 'Rouge Pirates'. Bellemeré joins the Revolutionary Army.

Devil fruit powers? Rouge eats one during her journey as a pirate which gives her the power to control the power of Gardens. Ace gives her great advice on being a devil fruit user since he is one too. Bellemeré doesn't eat one but her mother taught her how to use the power of the weather.

Nami and Ace would be proud of their daughters of how they are living their life at seas as they would call them everyday through the Den Den Mushi.

❤️📺Ten (ish) TV-shows I love❤️📺

Tagged by the lovely @renai-chan to do the 'Ten Movies I love' Tag Game.

I already did that, so allow me to redirect you to this post listing my ten movies, and this other one (a much much much much longer version, if you feel up to it).

However, after reflecting about which 10 movies I like the best –what a dilemma it was– I also thought about which 10 TV-shows are my comfort rewatches. I came up easily (surprisingly so) with the selection, so let me share that with you instead! 😊 ❤️

Xena: Warrior Princess

The most badass warrior I have ever seen on TV. What a sight is Lucy Lawless, I fell in love with those gorgeous blue eyes since the moment my child eyes saw them… This tv-show is everything to me. Xena & Gabrielle, the purest soulmates. There were also lots of amazing characters and actors (Karl Urban and Kevin Smith, among others). Produced in New Zealand too… Which is so awesome! <3 (Strong opening theme!)

Stargate SG1/Atlantis

MY FUCKING SCI-FY babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can’t even tell you why I love these two TV-shows, because I got so overwhelmed about it! I. JUST. LOVE. THEM. SO. MUCH! (I actually watched several Stargate Atlantis episodes just before typing this list.) If you like the genre, GO.WATCH.THESE! (Amazing opening themes as well! <3)

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (the 20-min-episode tv-show)

I’ve watched every rerun on TV since it has been broadcasted. It is tied to my childhood, so I’m rather attached to it! I prefer this version over the more recent one, which is a bit too dark compared to the comedic one. Salem is so funny! He’s I-C-O-N-I-C! :P

Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman/// House MD

My absolute two favourite tv-shows involving doctors… though they are very different from one another. Western drama vs. medical drama. It’s really not your typical medical show however.

A female physician from a 19th-wealthy family moving in the wild west to establish a practice. She feels very deeply and has a strong moral compass. The themes mentioned are quite serious (which I like) as you have, for instance, a close-minded-white-men little village, a woman working a man job, Cheyenne tribes being mistreated so are the black people and any other non-White people. Of course, it is still a tv-show, so I don’t how historically-accurate it is. But so not as sappy as Grey’s Anatomy if you know what I mean. 😊

AND the Sherlock doctor. Hugh Laurie is magnificent in this out-of-the-ordinary, junkie, snarky genius of a doctor!

Avatar: the Last Airbender

Do I really need to spell it? MASTER OF THE ELEMENTS. AIRBENDING. WATERBENDING. FIREBENDING. EARTHBENDING. THIS IS SO FREAKING COOL!!!!!! The Legend of Korra is good too!

White Collar

The adventures of an FBI agent and his con artist/thief consultant. YUP. It is as cool as it sounds. All the characters are lovely as well!

Downton Abbey

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE BRITISH PERIOD DRAMA EVER. It is about the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants’ life during the earliest 20th century. The cast is realllllllllllllly good! A lot of good characters, strong episodes (very emotional sometimes)! Dame Maggie Smith is killing it as the Dowager Countess of Grantham, the sass in this character’s lines and faces!!!!! XD (Again, the opening theme is SO GOOD!)

Once Upon a Time

A very nice tv-show where fairytales characters are transported into the real world because of a curse. The cast is INSANE! :O Nice revisit of famously known fairytales!!!! I have a thing for the accents…Well, there are a lot of different accents to listen to!

Lucifer

It’s probably one of the last (new-ish) TV-show I’ve watched from the beginning to the end. The British (again with the accent) Devil’s adventures with the Detective (yeah… it’s her official name! XD). Very good chemistry between Tom Ellis and Lauren German! And the other characters are equally as good!!!!!!!!!

Prison Break

Season 1 was the best. Truly. The idea was so original when the tv-show came out! Wentworth Miller’s acting is pure *chef’s kiss*. (That’s why I love Captain Cold so much btw, especially because Dominic Purcell is also his Rogues buddy in The Flash). Also, I’ve never loved the crookiest of the crook characters so much than how I love T-Bag. He’s the worst, but OMG his lines and mimicking (Robert Knepper did a fine job!)

As I already did the tagging before, I won’t do it again, but I let this open. Anyone feeling like talking about their comfort TV-shows are more than welcomed to do this “other version” of the tag game! 😉

“What does her smile remind you of?”

“Oh, her smile is the best. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Like the smell of freshly baked cookies. Like walking into the world’s best coffee shop. Or like watching purple petunia flowers in a pot near a window spring to life.”

“What does his smile remind you of?”

“Uhh…Yoongi’s smile reminds me of the ocean waves crashing on the shore, on a serene, silent night. Or of the passing cumulus clouds in a clear blue sky. Or…the sweet chirping of mockingbirds on a tranquil morning. To me, it brings calm and peace.”

Y/N says as she unconsciously smiles at thought of my smile. The camera cuts to me and the man behind the camera asks another question.

“What is one thing you love about Y/N?”

“Her unpredictability.”

“What is one thing you love about Yoongi?”

“Ah…” Y/N says in deep thought.

“His certainty.” She smiles.

“What is one thing she does that you hate?”

I thought deeply and carefully for a minute.

"There's nothing I hate about whatever she does, except for when she yells 'Yoongi marry me' out of nowhere in public deliberately to annoy me."

“What is one thing he does that you hate?”

“He doesn't look after himself properly. Often dwells in work too much forgetting the world around him." She says while zoning out and looking elsewhere.

Maybe remebering the times I may have unintentionally forgotten her. My heart feels incredibly heavy as regret fills my mind.

"Actually no, I hate how he leaves his socks lying around the house. It's an uphill battle to make him pick his socks up.”

I laugh out loud. She’s so abrupt sometimes.

“You guys trust each other, right? So how much do you trust Y/N?”

“My trust for Y/N is as big as the sun.”

“Romantic, I see.” Says the guy behind the camera.

The camera moves to Y/N.

“Oh, my trust for Yoongi is greater than the Universe.”

“Both of you said space related things!”

“No way, wait, let me guess. He said something about the sun, didn’t he? You're supposed to say the universe genius!”

I smile at her accuracy. She knew me too well.

I’m so glad I decided to re-watch our one-episode documentary style interview that we shot a year ago. We shot it right after we made our relationship and marriage public. Y/N was hesitant and nervous at first, but she ended up enjoying it the most.

“…uh, yes after the- wait, is this allowed? She's not supposed to be here!”

The camera shifts to a trespasser who had secretly managed to sneak into my interview room and hide behind the staff.

“Aha! You found me. It’s alright, go on, you won't even know I'm here.” Y/N explains her intrusion.

Pd-nim gives Y/N a thumbs and requests me to continue. The camera moves back to me and as I speak, I get distracted way too many times. The camera shifts to Y/N making funny faces and goofing around. I’m pretty sure she thought this would be edited out. The shoot was actually so much more relaxed with her. And oh God, I miss her. My comeback is in less than a week and I’ve been preparing for it since the past two months. I practically live in my studio now. I go back home maybe thrice a week and rarely spend time with Y/N. I leave before she wakes up and get back home after she’s asleep.

Y/N on the other hand, has been nothing but supportive. She used to stop by the studio with some food to make sure I’m eating well. She hung out in the practice room and listened to bits and pieces of my music. The privilege only a few have the access to.

According to some clichés, you should be expecting a grumpy, attention deprived and annoyed wife waiting for you at home, prepared to start an exhaustive argument. But to my relief, a bright and warm smile greets me as soon as I swing open the door to our apartment. An oversized Celine t-shirt with large sleeves drooping down her shoulders hung over Y/N’s petite figure. (Oversized- because it was clearly stolen from my closet.) I notice her messy low bun with a few loose curls hanging over the frame of her face and the faint freckles that spread across her cheeks. She was on the couch when she pointed to her laptop on the coffee table before bringing her index finger to her puckered lips and mouthing a small “shush”.

The presentation on the laptop screen and the voices of multiple people indicated that Y/N was in a meeting. She pats the empty space on the couch asking me to sit beside her while I remove my socks and remember to carefully place them inside my shoes. I didn’t want to upset her anymore.

Once I'm seated, Y/N snuggles close to me and leans back on my chest while facing her laptop. I wrap my arms around her and rest my head on her shoulder.

“How was your day?” She whispers.

“It was great. Tiring but productive. I missed you.” I reply as I kiss her cheek.

Y/N turns around and faces me.

“Oh! Has something happened?”

“Why would something happen?”

“Well, I'm only asking.” she shrugs with a playful smile on her face.

“I don't need a reason to miss my wife.” I say before peppering several kisses on her face.

The living room is filled with Y/N’s giggles and my heart swells with joy at the sight of her cute-ass nose scrunch and smile. I was so right when I said it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

How could I ever stay away from her?

“How was your day?” I ask her as she turns around again and lays her head on my shoulder.

“It was alright, I attended a million meetings today. As you said, tiring but productive.” She replies while playing with my hand that rested on her shoulder.

She compares her right hand with mine and lets out a soft gasp.

“My hands are so tiny!”

“They’re adorable.”

“You’re only saying that because I’m your wife.”

“No, they’re actually super cute.” I say as I intertwine our fingers.

“What did you have for lunch?” I ask.

She thought for a brief moment.

“Uhh…well, does an apple and Oreos count as lunch?”

“What? You skipped lunch?” I frown.

“No, of course not! Why would I?”

“I… had an apple. Highly nutritious.” She elaborates with absolute confidence.

“Y/N!” I exclaim, completely baffled.

“Uh oh, I should really focus on what's going on in the meeting Yoongi.” She leans toward the coffee table and stares at the laptop.

“The meeting ended Y/N.”

“Oh.”

This is exactly what I was worried about. Ever since her company got acquired by another high-profile business, she has become so busy with meetings, projects, and deadlines. And yes, she makes time for me. But not for herself. What bothers me even more is the fact that I haven’t made time for her too. Gosh, I’ve been a terrible husband lately.

“What about dinner?”

“What about it?

“Did you have dinner?”

“Uhh I think another meeting is starting now.”

“Y/N, come on you’re not a child!”

“No, I know! I'm sorry I forgot” She makes a puppy face and apologizes.

God, how am I supposed to stay mad now?

I sigh and shake my head. I stand up from the couch and roll up my sleeves.

“Where are you going?”

“I’m gonna make dinner.”

“For who?”

“For you.”

She stares at me with a smug smile.

“Oooh ultimate husband material.”

I laugh and walk towards the kitchen.

Y/N’s POV

I watch him as he opens the door to the fridge, grabs some vegetables, turns around to face the counter and starts cooking.

I am quite fussy when it comes to managing time and sorting out priorities. With the recent company acquisition, I haven’t had much time dealing with my normal life. Sounds odd, but weirdly, I don’t hate it. Oftentimes I get bored when I’m alone at home, so work keeps me busy. And when I lose track of time and sense, I have Yoongi. He is one of the best things that has happened to me. He truly is husband material. No kidding.

I turn back to my laptop screen and decide to continue my tiresome monotony. The meeting was to discuss legal issues and I was about to die out of boredom. Soon, I grow impatient and look at Yoongi, who was cooking diligently with complete peace of mind. Yoongi cooks really well, not gonna lie. However, I consider myself a better cook. We’ve often had silly debates and quarrels as to who cooks better. One such time, during a silly banter, we randomly started listing out all the things we cooked well.

“Oh! My Kimchi Stew is the best in the world.”

“Your mom absolutely loved my Tangsuyuk. She even asked for the recipe.”

“Ahh nothing can beat the way I make Dakgalbi.”

“My Milmyeon is truly exceptional, everyone in Busan knows that.”

And we went on and on and on. My ego and desperation to win the argument sky rocketed so bad that I ended up boasting non stop about my cooking skills without giving Yoongi a chance to speak. It was like I was rapping. Oh, the irony!

Having enough of my rant he proceeded to do the most unexpected thing ever. He abruptly grabbed my waist, pulled me close and kissed me to shut me up.

“Alright Clare Smyth. We get the point.” He whispered after pulling away.

That brings a smile to my face. He was quite the romantic. Might not seem like one at first glance but definitely and pleasantly surprising at times.

After a while, a comforting and vaguely familiar smell wafts through the house. Highly curious about what he was cooking and completely disinterested in the meeting, I get up and make my way towards the kitchen.

I tap on Yoongi’s right shoulder twice and quickly move to his left before he turns around. He looks behind and turns back to face me realising I was messing around. I wink at him playfully before walking up to an empty counter and sitting on top of it.

“What are you cooking?”

“Japchae.”

“Oh, babe you’re the best.” I say in a grateful tone.

“That I am.” He winks.

We didn't speak much. I just watched him cook in silence. The silence was only interrupted by the occasional sound of the knife hitting the chopping board or by the faint voices of various people in the meeting.

I decide to play some music and as I scroll through Spotify, the perfect song catches my eye.

It’s Been a Long, Long Time by Harry James.

I get off the counter, open a shelf, grab two wine glasses and a bottle of Corton Grancey.

When Yoongi put the noodles to boil and covered the pot with a glass lid, he realised that was the last thing to be cooked. He turns around and walks up to me.

“Allow me.” He pours some wine into our glasses.

“Dinner shall be served in a few minutes ma’am.” He says with a smile.

“Hmm, I must say, the service is rather lazy.” I say in a pretentious superior tone before taking a sip.

“…but I’ll pardon it for now, because the chef looks quite handsome.”

We instantly break into laughter. Ah I missed this. Him. Quite a lot in fact. We are like a puzzle with missing pieces. Yet, it is a complete picture. A heart-warming one. A love like ours didn't have to be about the missing parts. Rather it’s about the beauty of the existing ones coming together to form a new picture every single day. It’s about the willingness to create a whole new perspective from a small loving gesture in an everyday life. About realizing that any and every moment with the other can be precious no matter how long the puzzle pieces have stayed on the same board. To acknowledge that puzzles can be tiring & boring but when solved alongside a beloved, it’s actually not that bad.

Yoongi and I were always on the same page. Maybe not the same line. But either of us always catches up. And at the end, I know we’ll finish the book together. We love each other too much. Besides, I could never get tired of that gummy smile of his.

The atmosphere changes as we gaze at each other. It has actually been a long, long time since I got a chance to look at him. His hair had grown longer. The soft golden lights gleamed on his face making him look ethereal. Almost instinctively, I place my arms around his neck as he grabs my waist and pulls me close. We start swaying to the song and slow dance under the dim golden light.

‘Never thought that you would be’

‘Standing here so close to me’

‘There’s so much I feel that I should say’

‘But words can wait until some other day’

“The noodles might burn” He says.

“That can wait until some other day too” He smirks before placing his hands on my jaw and his lips on mine. Butterflies go wild in my stomach as he deepens the kiss and pulls me closer than ever.

Just like a scene from a romantic 70’s movie or like the end of a Disney movie, the song in the background continues to play as Yoongi pulls away from the kiss and leans his forehead on mine.

‘Kiss me once, then kiss me twice, then kiss me once again’

Well got up today and did about 5-6 mile walk. Doesn't relate to the picture at all but it was the most noteworthy thing of the day so I figured I may as well mention it XD God my right ankle hurt after that (on top of my normal body pains). But you know what hurt worse?...well okay, maybe not as bad as my usual pains bu-Velma. Now normally I don't find a show that's bad to be worth wasting time doodling much of, but...god damn. There may be worse animation to shows than it but...holy hell. Teen Titans GO!, fine, I'll watch an episode or two of ya over this. High Guardian Spice? That at least has Slime Boy. But Velma? Velma? I have not ever seen such an unpleasant cartoon in my entire life I don't think. With bad cartoons you can at least gawk at them usually in how bad they are. But Velma? It...there's...there's literally nothing enjoyable about it in any way. It's just unpleasant. And BORING. It insults its viewers, it's utterly prejudice against literally every race, gender, or anything else, and it does these constant instances of pointing out the obvious or stating what they believe a stereotype is (half of which they just seem to make up to force in some attempt at "recognizing" a stereotype) with pretty much NOTHING they attempt being funny. It's just utterly annoying. On top of which the characters in no way are recognizable as the characters from Scooby Doo. They may have Fred at least somewhat looking like the character he's supposed to be, but that's utterly negated by throwing the Leader-Guy Doofus King in the trash to shove in a belittling racist psycho in his place. I...puh. I...I mean what even is there to say at this point. Everyone knows the show. Everyone knows it's garbage. It had the honor of dethroning Dragon Ball EVOLUTION of all things. So yeah...I just found myself doodling a little something pertaining to it after seeing how it was Then I realized that it was the 8th anniversary of the premier of Star vs. The Forces of Evil yesterday and that gave me something actually pleasant to draw about XD After that I doodled a little warahi/ed-bird and a thing of The Kid from I Wanna Be the Guy next to it since I've been listening to some Let's Players suffer through that classic lately while I work on my Invader Zim Animation.

Love that a lot of the episode titles have two meaning or are outright puns. Crusader here referring to the tank and the knight corpse.

Another I had a bit of a hard time following. I think the voice acting is really fitting here, but the frantic tone messes with my ability to process what's told.

3:29 " The Italians had unsurprisingly taken a page out of Rommel’s handbook", right at "page", someone turns a page! The VA actually turning the page of the script or intentional soundscaping (since there is more paper rustling to come)?

In the back of my mind, I knew what it meant: the sun reflecting off their own binoculars" - music is playing at this part and I don't understand why? xD Usually music accompanies something spooky happening. While this is a scary situation especially hearing someone burning to death without any way to help them, I don't know if it's mean to be supernatural spooky stuff? I mean it's an Eye statement, binoculars would fit that bill, but otherwise?

Very soft at 5:33, very briefly at 6:58, 7:49 - scraping sounds (at 7:00 with a knock, like making a period with a pencil) and paper shuffling like someone's taking notes? Gertrude perhaps? I think this is indeed intentional soundscaping.

10:10 also shuffling can be heard. All throughout the statement there's a bit of shuffling here and there, I think it fits very well.

Also before I reached this episode my sister once called me "Archivist" and I was already like "Why would she do that if there wasn't a deeper meaning?". Hearing Gertrude contemplating, if this creature was once an Archivist, confirmed my suspicions.

Martin being a blessing once again! <3

"I just worry. You needed five stitches after you “accidentally” stabbed yourself with the bread knife." - My sister visited me just two days ago and she managed to stab herself with the bread knife XD Nothing severely, but it made me laugh. Also, Martin totally doesn't believe Jon here…

Ok ok, Martin asks Jon, if he wants a sandwich! I understood this like "Should I get a sandwich for you while you stay here and I go alone". And then Jon says he's coming with Martin! He totally didn't have to do that? Does he think Martin would poison the sandwich? I mean, Martin could poison every cup of tea he makes, so don't think Jon's thinking of that. Keeping an extra eye on Martin? Personally, that's my headcanon: This is where Jon starts going on lunch breaks with Martin. At first under the pretense of more surveillance and trying to find out more about him. But eventually he starts to just enjoy it and keeps doing it, especially after he finds out what that letter to his mum was about (in like 3 episodes). I mean, it would make sense, right? Why would someone think of the two of them "being close" otherwise?

"It reports an explosion in Alexandria which destroyed several buildings in the vicinity of Pompey’s Pillar and killed 17 people. Official investigation determined it to be a gas mains explosion" - THAT FUCKING FORESHADOWING!!!!! Biggest weakness of an Archive - gas mains.

Wow calm down buddy, I am still very new to pokemon XD

I think I mentioned, but Decidueye is my fave for no other reason other than he was my first pokemon in Unite and I loved his design, he's my baby

Idk much about regions and stuff like that though, the little I know of it would have to be Alola for fashion alone, I'm more of the type to use loose clothes for warm weather because I'm Brazilian and where I grew up in is a fucking desert lmao so it reminds me a little of home

For characters...sorry I don't have any :( again, I'm new still

I wasn't allowed to indulge in pokemon, I've only watched a handful of episodes that would, by chance, air during the time I stayed at my grandma on Saturdays where I had no restrictions on the TV

I dont remember anyone's name besides Ash's lol, so even if I did have a fave, I wouldn't be able to tell the names. Tho I think I did like that one girl, I think she was a princess? Sorta? She has a Dino looking pokemon too and had big, purple hair. I also likes the red haired girl, she was funny.

I do have other fave pokemons tho, Snivy was the first pokemon I became obsessed with, when I saw their design I was in LOVE. I remember googling up images of them to trace or try to redraw, and I drew it so many times so that when I went to school I could draw it by memory. One of the boys, who was sorta ostracised cuz of his disability, saw me drawing in the corner of the classroom during recess. I tried to keep this interest hidden cuz my mom didn't allow it and would get mad in me indulging on it, so I panicked when he asked what I was drawing and I tried to hide it, but he was really cool about it and was also really kind, with how aggressive he could be, I never connected with someone more than I did then. He told me fun facts and started to explain things I never once understood but listened to it anyone cuz I loved the pokemon.

Another one was from this other boy, I started to be more open about my interest of pokemon but still hid it from my mom, idk how we started talking but eventually said boy gave me one of his pokemon cards. It was jiggly Puff. He said that since girls usually liked cute, pink stuff, that I would like this one (and he was absolutely right cuz altho I was treated as a tomboy during that time, I love pink, cute stuff and the girliest of girls stuff, hell, I still tend to go for pokemon by apperance XD).

I cherished it so much until my mom found it, she told me to give it back to the boy and I begrudgingly did so but he insisted I kept it cuz "if I liked it, I should keep it, just hide it from your mom"

She found it again but this time I tried to convince her to keep it bu saying one of its ability is to sing you to sleep, after that, whenever we stayed up late, she'd tell us she'd pull out the "pink ball" to make us go to bed XD

During our haste to move countries, a lot of my stuff got thrown into a shed and I havent found that card since :( I'm a little sad I didn't take it with me now in hindsight, but yeah, I hope I'll find it again one day but there is little chances of that happening considering the mess I was greeted to when I went back to collect some stuff after years

As for OCs...well, I only have my persona who I already made a post about here and...that's about it so far XD

Floodland - What is your favorite thing about your F/O, whether it be something appearance-related, or personality-related?

When it comes to appearance, I love his eyes and his hair!! The way his dark circles and wrinkles make him stand out from the other character is very endearing to me! The white strand on his hair is really charming and I love it a lot!!

His personality is what really made me fall for him HARD. He's very dedicated, funny and sweet! And even when he's being stubborn or grumpy he's still so very lovely and adorable I just- dkdhdkdjdk!!!!

Duality - How long have you known your F/O? how long have they been an F/O for you?

If we're talking about Simon as Simon, not Ice King, the it's since around 2011, I was 8 years old! And he became an F/O almost immediately!

OK, so I’ve been wanting to write about this scene ever since I first saw it, because it was the scene that made me fall in love with Ershu (...and with Wu Xie’s white waffle sweater, which I subsequently bought for myself, but THAT’S ANOTHER STORY XD). And last night I finally had the spoons to gif it and I popped onto tumblr to post a teaser of the bonus gif... to find that @jockvillagersonly, @momosandlemonsoda, and @xcziel wrote an AMAZING meta between them in response to an ask sent by @gaiahenshin at... literally exactly the same time. XD It was about Wu Erbai and Wu Xie and the intersection of their queerness with Chinese culture and legal policies at the time the show would have been set (e.g., the One Child Policy) that I cannot HOPE to match but very much enjoyed reading just the same and I highly recommend it! Here it is, for anyone interested.

I had planned a MUCH more tongue-in-cheek meta to accompany this gifset, because this show just brings it out in me, so... here we go?

When I first started watching this show, I knew I was going to be predisposed to like Wu Xie. I absolutely have a character type and he unquestionably fits it (...and he’s played by Zhu Yilong, which certainly played a part in me loving him, too). He’s snarky and he’s too smart for his own good, but he is loving and kind and Lord help you if you get on his bad side because he will DESTROY YOU... and probably your entire family line along with you. What I did NOT expect was to fall just as hopelessly in love with Wu Xie’s uncle, Wu Erbai. But I really shouldn’t have been surprised... BECAUSE ERSHU IS BASICALLY AN OLDER, MORE EXPERIENCED (...though less physically agile) VERSION OF WU XIE. XD

So, of course, I hit this scene and there is Ershu, dressed to the nines, making his enemies wait while he finishes up a video game with his nephew before even deigning to talk to them, and then verbal ripping them to shreds before making said enemies run a gauntlet for his amusement.

...YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION.

Once the enemies are gone, and Wu Xie finally has his uncle alone, he tries to push his agenda forward only to have Ershu run right over him and start badgering him about marrying and producing an heir. And up until then, I hadn’t given much thought to it really: Wu Xie is the only son of the first son of the family. It makes sense that his uncle would pressure him to have a child... right? And it did, up until Wu Xie threw it all back in his face with “But Ershu... you’re still healthy. Why don’t YOU do it?”

...oh.

OH.

With that one revelation, this becomes an entirely different ball game, doesn’t it?

Why isn’t Ershu married? Why doesn’t he have children? And then a thousand subconscious clues piled up and jumped on my head. Ershu is GAY. Ershu is SO GAY. And everything he did from that point on just cemented it for me. The fashionable way he dresses, even when exploring tombs. The stunningly designed house. The impeccable manners combined with his wonderfully chaotic energy. The way he treats his nephew like the child he assumes he won’t have. Being a queer aunt, myself, I suddenly saw a LOT of myself in him and that was it, I was GONE.

And now this scene just becomes that much funnier. It’s a verbal sparring match or (I was going to say “passing the buck” here, but @kholran called it hot potato, and that’s so much better XD) a game of hot potato that these two poor gay disasters throw back and forth between them yelling “NOT IT” every time it lands in their hands. And in the MOST tongue-in-cheek way possible, that adds an entirely new dimension to why they’re both so desperate to get Wu Sanxing back... HE’S THE ONLY STRAIGHT BOY IN THEIR ENTIRE TWO GENERATION SPREAD. (...minus Wu Xie’s father, one presumes.) If they get him back, then NEITHER of them has to produce an heir. ;D

In short? I love Ershu a PERFECTLY NORMAL AMOUNT and we really should be talking about this amazingly distinguished Elder Gay far, far more. ^_^

You know, I'm pretty stuck on this. This has been sitting in my inbox for so long. Its so hard to remember these on the spot. I only remember when I'm talking about other stuff lol brainz werk in mysterious ways lol

But I'll still try!

- slappy is the best thing to ever exist.

- Squidabeth is the best thing to ever exist.

Okay before this turns into a brainrot list. Here's the actual hot takes!

-Nerd spongebob is superior sponge. I know later seasons focus more on him being more babyish/childish. But ehh I miss his more nerdier personality.

- I'm okay with the spinoffs. I get so tired always having to clarify on the spinoffs all the time. Jeez do your own research, I ain't magic or working inside with Nick (I wish) I'm tired. I have my concerns and issues otherwise but like if you want to watch it then do it. If you don't then just don't.

- man why did it take so long for Sandy to interact with the other female characters? Why did it take so long for any of the characters to interact? Its random but I was thinking about this a while ago. I get the show is Spongebob Squarepants. Everything is from his POV. But a lot of the female characters could use a little more development. I want an episode focused on Mrs. Puff outside of boating school. She's into metal. She's already cool. Pls let her become a rock star pls. Or just another Sandy/Karen episode because they're so cute together. Its so weird to think about all of them only begun to interact recently.

- I really want them to bring back Pearl being gifted at math!! So much story potential. I'll be honest, I don't like whenever shows got that stereotypical teenage girl character™ no reason but they get a little annoying if you leave it like that. Pearl was apparently supposed to be more apart of the main cast but didn't get used so often. Come on!! I wanna see her hang out with Squidina!! I really like Squidina.

- there's no such thing as a bad episode with The Flying Dutchman. Never. Even the worst ones are still amusing.

- Dutchy probably doesn't pay child support. I just wanted to say that xD

- there is no way Squishwart is heterosexual

- shows timeline is

- first episode any episode where Perch is orange, any episode where Perch is purple, 2nd movie, 1st movie.

Not a complete time line but ya kno. There's two timelines tho! Same as the first but kamp koral takes place in the beginning, then the patrick show. Then we start at the first episode. Then after that, the 3rd movie takes place between the 2nd and 1st movie.

Hope I didn't lost ya there.

- oh yeah! Perch's skin color probably changed with age. Some fishes change color with maturity! I headcanon orange being earlier, and purple being later.

I know you might point out the fish in Ripped Pants. He doesn't look much like Perch. Looks a lot older so I'm just gonna headcanon that it's Perch's dad.

- Kamp koral was kinda boring. The better episodes are when they focus on side characters or new characters. Idk its just not interesting when they focus it on the main cast. Excluding the one where Squidward and Patrick gets lost in the woods together. That was cute. Though my favorite episode is either the one with young Perch or the night cabin.

- season 1 is elite. It's my favorite season of all time. I could go on and on about what I love about this season but everything about it feels so wholesome yo.

- my favorite season amongst the modern era is probably 10? I know that's fan favorite of the modern era. I'd also say season 12 too. Which is an unpopular season due to the expressions but I find myself revisiting season 12 often. Its weird but fun to go back to every so often.

- a lot of spongebob has been ragged on unfairly. I know I always come for the middle seasons but even they are over hated. Its amusing tho how the middle seasons were so hated in the previous years. Nowadays they get more love because the kids who grew up with them has grown to appreciate them. Now its the modern seasons that get a lot of hate. Often times for just being different.

- ehh classic elites kinda ruin the show for me. I wouldn't say this is a be all end all. I still like the classic era and of course nothing can replace how witty and funny it was. But geez these people take it so seriously that it just sucks the fun out of it. Its fun to express your love for spongebob online but they always gotta rag on it and insult people who don't hate everything that came out after the movie. Its ironic considering I used to be a classic elitist. Every so often when I see them raging online, I'm like "jeez was that me?" It gets so exhausting to hate on the show. I also think its a little weird how they've martyred Hillenburg while also acting like the gods of justice by sending death threats to his colleagues and friends. Ehh they get pretty invasive at times. Its kinda uncomfortable.

- on that note. I also find it annoying how people are like "oh kids today will never know how good spongebob was!" Like the classic era doesn't constantly rerun on tv to this day. Jeez I was too young to even remember the classic era when it first began airing. Yet the classic era was what was on tv most of the time. Its like how adults assume kids don't know what vhs tapes/CDs are just because it isn't as popular as it used to. They don't magically disappear the moment something new comes out.

You know that reminds me, when I was a teen, I used to purposely act like I didn't know what some stuff were just to make adults feel like they're out of touch. "Facebook? what is that?" "Britney Spears? Never heard of her" it's so funny.

- Ngl I keep rewatching the Patrick show just to feel something

- mr. Krab's cheapiness went so out of control. Mans due for a spinoff just to rework his character so he can become tolerable again.

- from reading the spongeBob pitchbible and the mussel beach episode. My only thoughts were "spongebob has two hands, one for Sandy, one for Larry"

- the best episodes of Patrick is when he's being sweetly stupid. He's dumb but he knows and loves his friends. That's like the baseline for Patrick. He'd be terribly hurt if he upset them and he cares about them to the end of the earth. If you make patrick a jerk because he's stupid then you've failed to understand him.

- oh also, I'm pretty sure Bunny and Cecil are Pat's adoptive parents. Pat said in Home Sweet Pineapple that his parents kicked him out. I imagine when he did get kicked out, he wasn't prepared so he probably got adopted by the closest Sea Star family around. Thus the Patrick show was born! I already do find Pat's parents questionable. Like letting their daughter get lost like that, or mental training with a bell that managed to even have spongebob say they screwed Patrick up. Bunny and Cecil seem like healthier parents for pat. Plus he got another sister :)

- another thing, ehh Spongebob's parents and family in general are either questionable to outright awful. Man his uncle sherm really kicked out his own son??? captain blue couldn't listen to spange when he desperately needed help? Also spongebob's parents neither taking him seriously and seem to have their own issues too.

- on the note of poor family figures. I'm certain Mr. Krabs father Victor Krabs abandoned his family. Mr krabs grew up dirt poor with only his mother supporting him. I also assume Mr. Krab's other family is also kinda sucky since he didn't really introduce any of them to Pearl. Probably for a reason. Though his mom in the comics seems to have known about Pearl. She's probably the only krab in the family he really cares about.

- Sandy and Karen SHOULD get together. I don't make the rules 😤 😤

- patchy is good. I don't get why is he so hated. I also really like potty :)

- the 2nd movie is a comfort movie for me.

- they really brought the best music for the ScaredyPants episode. Also I find it kinda funny how they found such a hyper specific band for the show. The Ghastly Ones. A horror surf rock band. It fits too well and I like them enough to listen to their other songs just because.

- Ngl its satisfying when spongebob gets angry/frustrated. You dont see those emotions in him. Its either extreme joy or extreme sadness. It adds an interesting bit of nuance to his character.
