The previous post was getting long enough to be cumbersome, so we’re starting fresh.

Presenting; Part 8! Utúlië lómë

Findekáno’s funeral is a tense, shellshocked affair

Naturally, the entire family attends. Ruining all previous efforts to evacuate them

Maitimo cannot look his aunt and uncle in the eye; it was his idea to run back to Tirion

It’s alright if they blame him. He blames himself too

Fëanáro furiously checks and rechecks the stained glass windows, looking for proof they were tampered with

After the fifth time, Ñolofinwë takes a hammer to the broken window until not one shard of glass remains in it

Anairë takes a bigger hammer to each and every stone in the receiving hall touched by her son’s blood until only rubble remained, forcing Finwë to order new flooring

The sight of Findekáno bristling and bloody from glass shards is one that will haunt them all for a long, long time

Maitimo drifts about as one hollowed out, thoughts and emotions trickling out of him like sand through cracks. He, Angaráto, and Aikanáro attempt to find some solace in each other’s company, but in truth Findekáno was their strongest bridge, without whom a chasm seems to gape between them

He wanders Tirion instead, unable to bear company, not knowing what he’s looking for

(That is a lie, he knows exactly what he’s looking for)

He admits it’s a lie when he finds Melkor in the smithy district and the drought-stricken, hollow places in himself flood with rage. Such wrath as he has never known, he snatches up a finished knife from a smith’s stall and attempts to drive it through Melkor’s heart right then and there

The confrontation is unspeakably public

It takes three people to restrain him

News gets back to Manwë

A trial is called at Máhanaxar

It is every nightmare Maitimo knew it would be

He accuses Melkor of seven murders; he has no proof to back it up

Melkor speaks, and it is lies and ruin. He tells of how Maitimo is one of his former victims, freshly remembered, and confused by the horrors of the past. 

“How ashamed I am for the pain I have caused him!” Melkor declares before all. “I’ve done what I could to help him reconcile the past with the present but-- oh, but pain is never reasonable. After several accidents befell his loved ones it must have touched too close to my shameful past actions; he blamed me to explain his pain.”

“Do not blame him, brother,” Melkor entreats. “He is hurting. He needs help, compassion, understanding.”

Nienna rises, moved by this plea, and joins her voice to his

It’s the final nail

Manwë rises and makes his judgement known; “To act from pain is understandable. But to deliberately cause more pain by your actions is not acceptable. If time and healing is what it will take to mend this; hereby do I declare Maitimo Nelyafinwë Fëanárion is exiled to Lórien, to abide under Estë and Irmo’s care, for the next ten years--”

The uproar in the House of Finwë is beyond outrage

“--may he find the peace of mind he requires to live joyfully once more,” Manwë finishes

The hollowing shock settles in again. It’s over. It’s really over. He’s ruined their chances of exposing Melkor. Whatever he says now, whatever his family says, it will always be tainted by this day. The uphill climb has become a mountain, an encircling Pelóri trapping them within

“--fine then! Fine!” His father is shouting somewhere behind him. “If my son is to be exiled, then so shall I be as well!”

“Fëanáro!” Finwë exclaims. “Lower your voice!”

Maitimo turns and pushes his way out of the crowd surrounding the Ring of Doom; his family, many of his friends, a number of quietly observing Vanyar. Many familiar faces try to greet him, but he cannot bring himself to speak

A hand lands on his shoulder. “Give him some air, people!” Ñolofinwë shoos them away, firmly steering Maitimo out into the open field around the great thrones of the Aratar

Maitimo lets himself be led

He owes his uncle this

He got his son killed

“Well,” Ñolofinwë says. “Well--” he cuts himself off, face spasming

“I’m sorry,” Maitimo says, miserable

“For what?” Ñolofinwë asks, voice tight

“Everything,” Maitimo says. “Running headlong into a trap. Losing my temper in public. Discrediting our entire family in front of the absolute last person I should have. Take your pick, I have many things to be sorry for.”

“Nelyafinwë,” Ñolofinwë says, hand tightening on his shoulder, “the only reason you are on trial for attacking Melkor is because I failed to get to him first. The only reason.”

His head snaps up at that

“If I am mad at you,” Ñolofinwë continues, “it is mostly because I am jealous. I should not be. I wouldn’t have fared any better than you. But still--”

“Still.” Maitimo nods

Ñolofinwë claps him on the shoulder, mouth tight, gaze on the horizon, and. Maitimo supposes it’s forgiveness of a sort

“There you are!” Nerdanel cries, crashing into his side, clinging to him in hard hug

Makalaurë hits his back with his own hug, only letting go to elbow Curufinwë in the gut so Ambarussa can get there first. It feels good to be surrounded by his family’s smothering affection, shores up some of his crumbling foundation

“Father’s not really exiling himself, is he?” Maitimo asks his mother, face buried in Tyelkormo’s shoulder

“We all are,” Nerdanel hisses furiously. “This is outrageous!”

“Not to Lórien though,” Carnistir says. “We need a place we can fortify.”

“We’ve got some ideas,” Tyelkormo adds. “Don’t worry about us. We can handle this.”

“Who all is going with?” Ñolofinwë asks wearily, looking awkward and alone outside their huddle

“Just our House,” Nerdanel says. “Fëanáro’s insistence. Too many other people need Finwë for him to leave, you and your family chief among them. Unless you want to come with?”

Ñolofinwë snaps around to look at her. “Fëanáro is letting me have father?”

“He’s not heartless, law-brother,” Nerdanel says, stepping away to hold out her hand. “He doesn’t hold you so far away he can’t be moved to pity by your grief.”

“I-- alright.” Ñolofinwë grabs her hand, squeezes briefly, lets go to bury his face in his hands, turning away, shoulders shaking. “I might... might join you later. Not now, but. Later. Later.”

“We’ll be waiting.”

The trip to Lórien is the quietest and unhappiest yet

Saw that post about Transformer games and then it hit me: Animal Crossing but make it Transformers. You are a regular Transformer given an assignment by Optimus Prime to rebuild this small city. You need to build a general store, a city hall, a museum, clinic, a library, a cafe, a post office, a shrine to the 13 Primes, and a few houses to gain some new neighbors. Oh yeah, and the neighbors are from a lot of different continuities and alliances, from Maximals to Predacons to Decepticons to Autobots, etc. Sometimes you'll have to make furniture to bring in new Transformers to your town, ie maybe you make a terrarium for Botanica or a chainsaw for Pharma or a DJ turn table for Soundwave. The different buildings you create will be staffed by certain Transformers: Ratchet takes over the clinic of course, Codexa takes over the library, etc. Every week or so you get a visitor to the island selling wares, like Swindle coming over with computer parts, or Thundercracker coming over with books you can give to the library. You can add in plants and mechanimals, even get a pet and celebrate different holidays (decorate your town for Halloween and Christmas, etc). Some of the Transformers will give you errands to complete, the cafe will ask you for ingredients and energon goodie recipes, the museum will ask for specimens and art and sometimes human artefacts, and the shrine will ask for some upkeep now and again.

Just something I thought up of, I'm generally intrigued why this isn't a thing but I guess Transformer video games got to be about war and fighting. Maybe it would be nice to just set up a town and exchange recipes with a Transformer barista and raise a few sheepitron.

While writing the first post I distinctly got the image of a very grumpy Megatron wandering into town. Him grumbling about how he's not so sure about all of this, but after a few quests and building his respective area he stays in your town

1. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (Start Trek)

My personality was based solely in this man for a long, long time. The sass, the "I don't care" caring type, his relationship with Kirk e Spock, the eyebrow lift. I love this man very dearly to this days and I'll never, ever stop saying so. I wanted to be a doctor for him, can you imagine?

2. Peter Pevensie (The Chronicles of Narnia)

Something something older siblings doing what they can for their younger siblings. He is here not only because he was hot as fuck in these movies, but because he was a good brother or, at least, tried to be. I sympathised a lot with him and his way of being for a lot of reasons but mostly because I was always the one to care for my friends and sibling when we were young.

3. Hob Gadling (The Sandman)

I found Hob Gadling recently and while in a dark period of my life. It would be a lie to say that this stubborn, possibly-crazy and completely charming man didn't charm me the instant I saw him (And I'm not saying only bcuz of Ferdie, okay?). His endless hope in humanity, in the future, in the little things made me happy for being alive again, you know?? Of sitting back and just enjoying the simple fact that I'm breathing. That I can listen to music when I wish to. That my family is one call away from me. That I can go to college. That I have food in the fridge. It may not be much for many or something so common that people overlook it, but I'm here, I'm alive and I can see the world changing again and again and I just guess Hob made me realise that, you know? So yes, Hob goes in this list.

4. Jiang Cheng/Jiang Wanying (MDZS)

Angry Jiujiu who cared too much, got hurt again and again for that, lost literally EVERYONE but kept going. Did he do wrongs? Yes, a lot. Does he need to go therapy? Yes, a lot. Do I love him still? Yes, a lot. It's just that, whenever I see this man, the only thing I can think about is how precious he is, how much he cared for his whole family despite always being compared to others, always being called angry and undesirable by society (That hit a little bit too close to home, but okay) but still helping it, still out there doing his part. Everytime I think of him, I gain strength to go through whatever it is that I'm going through because "If Jiujiu could do it, I can too".

5. Shang Qinghua (SVSS)

Shang Qinghua is just a little guy, a crazy little guy who writes porn for a living and gets dragged in his own world without wanting to. He is very unassuming, very overlooked, but he is fucking crazy and he will kill a lot of people if they as much as look at his King wrong. This man literally wrote himself the man of his dreams and THEN he got him. THEY GOT TOGETHER. If that isn't every writer's dream I don't know what that is. But, mostly important, I support Shang Qinghua's right, but his wrongs are much more interesting.

6. Kiki (Kiki's Delivery Service)

I love that little witch, okay? She is a little sweetheart with so much love, hope and wonder for the world!! She works so hard!! She is so brave!! I love her, okay?? And her movie is beautiful too!! The strength of learning how to rest, how to let things flow is amazing. It would be a lie if I said I don't see myself a lot in her, you know? Specially regardings on the resting side lol. That one is not easy.

7. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Top Gun)

He is crazy. He is unhinged. He is reckless. He is self-sacrificing. He loves with his whole heart (which means he grieves with his whole heart as well). When I first watched the movie, years ago, I promised myself that I would be like him (And Goose) as much as I could. That I would laugh freely, that I would be bold, that I would be as strong as that crazy little man who doesn't know when to stop and reaches for what he wants without fear.

8. Kaldur'ahm (Young Justice)

Do I need to say more? Do I? This mas was literally perfect. Good person, respectful, good leader, cared about his people, was hot as fuck. He was fucking amazing and would do anything to assure that his team would get out of their mission alive and as well as they could be, even if it meant sacrificing himself.

9. Mulan (Mulan)

Badass queen who made me who I am today. This woman wasn't afraid of anything. She was a badass who fought for what was right, fuck what people thought of her or of the way she was dressing. She would do what was right, no matter what. I love her for that (And Shang as well, I love Shang a lot. The couple that made me realise I was bisexual years later). Simply amazing.

10. Reyna Avila Ramirez Arellano (HOO)

A queen. Never did nothing wrong, always has to put up with everyone's bullshit. Adopts a lot of little siblings, an amazing person. I love her and I had a MASSIVE crush on her when I was younger.

I love that idiot, okay? He pretends not to care but he cares so much, he loves so much and he just wants to help. He is tired of the capitalism and everything, he just wants peace and to be left alone with his own things and plane. I love him a lot.

I always saw her relationship with her mother a bit like mine with my mom. Merida just wants to be free, to do what she wishes to, be seen by what she is. She loves her little siblings, her mother and her father and even though she has no patience, she is never unkind to anyone. She is simply amazing.

13. Adam (Frankstein)

He was a monster (literally) but he was more human than many people out there. There was so much wonder in his being, he loved so much, cared so much and he just wanted to be cared and loved in return, but even his creator turned him down, even his creator recoiled from him and that made him suffer so much.

Whirl not only gets away with everything and anything, he is absolutely encouraged by Skywarp. Who is known for pranking his fellow Decepticons. He attempts to reign him in from bothering Megatron once because he isn't sure how he'll take it, but after Rodimus bursts into giggles, Megatron instantly melts from his annoyance chuckles to himself and simply tells Skywarp to teach Whirl to focus on more appropriate targets. Parenthood has had an incredibly mellowing effect. Thr only ones putting in a concentrated effort to reign him in are Thundercracker and Cyclonus. Tiny Ratchet is firm Megatron deserves suffering.

They do have memories that get clearer with age.

Getaway is seething so much. It's Hot Rod and he hates it but Hot Rod also is also one of those parents fascinated with everything their baby does and smothers him in attention and affection which is doing wonders for helping his issues even if he keeps trying to remember he doesn't like Hot Rod. Hot Rod is a very young parent and fussy and worrying so he compensates by trying to keep a cloae eye on him and give him all the attention and affection that Hot Rod as a war orphan lacked in his earliest years.

G1 Ravage finds the smaller version cute and appropriately fiery. He couldn't be happier, and MTMTE Ravage finds a reflection of his own family that he severely missed.

Brainstorm is such a trouble child. He is a genius who preens and saunters around bragging loudly and reminds Skyfire painfully of Starscream, who is definitely eyeballing the tiny jet from a distance. Though there is one accidental kidnapping that results in bonding time and Starscream is veey firm he is nlt attached to Skyfire's kid he just can't trust anyone else to watch him while ransom is negotiated. Regardless of how adorable and clever he is designing weaponry and how much fun helping him build the miniature gun he designed was.

Rung and Megatron are absolute angels, and after one horribly panicked afternoon of losing Rung, he's so small, he is constantly being held by someone.

There are absolutely a few comments especially about Megatron though Ratchet confirms he was there for it.

A few of them have concerns. Jazz worries about how unsocial Damus is and how he struggles to fit in. Wheeljack has similar concerns about Deathsaurus, which leads to his "siblings" being built earlier. And playdates.

The Coneheads are terrified because they have no idea how to raise a motorcycle, and Chromedome is so depressed until he meets tiny Rewind. Ultra Magnus and Hot Rod bond even more about their shared concerns about parenthood.

Springer and Arcee are concerned about Pharma's newly discovered bulkying tendencies once he meets Damus.

Sunstreaker is overprotective of Drift because he is very, very obviously part Decepticon and he isn't Optimus Prime so he hears comments and there are some fights. As far is he's concerned Drift is perfect and anyone who thinks otherwise answers to him.

Shockwave bemoans Perceptor's strange fussiness concerning ethics but indulges him as it is Perceptor's experiments.

Skywarp being a bad influence makes sense, that's adorable and hilarious. He gets away with so much

OO okay makes sense, wonder what'll happen in regards to the memories as they age and start to communicate and everything (how much do they still relate to their previous lives? Is a question that comes with all reincarnation things)

Omg that's so fucking sweet. Getaway is a problem child and Hot Rod is doing the best thing for it: patiently understanding him and caring for him. Aww yes. Smother that fucker in love and see how it affects him.

It is yet again baby Tarn time and it's always fun to see how he fits into a new life (when his memories begin to bubble up again it's going to be a nightmare)

(Roblox OC Doodle Dump #1/π) I drew so many characters in different situations. They're all fun to draw, I wish I could do this regularly.

(A.M. Not Much Of A Pranks Guy) Harold doesn't really like his husband's morning prank, as he doesn't like coming across as uncouth when he was just trying to get in the car.

(Inside In Snow Time) Matchh hates the snow. He hates it with a passion, as it is sensory hell for someone like him. If Pattern didn't know where the nearest place they could enter was, it would've ended badly.

(In For A Bat Time) Pren and Missy were just watching TV, when whoosh! Missy transformed into a bat without knowing how it happened to begin with. She is terrified and begins to weep, knowing she became one of the very things her girlfriend is afraid of. They'll find a solution, and Pren does still love her.

He barely saw it, but he knew he saw his (now ex-)fiancé kiss another man. The other guy drove off, not even aware of what came next. Spencer got chewed out, all while Pattern had tears streaming down his face, which was violet with fury. They removed their rings, Pat basically told him to fuck off, then they got into their own cars to different places.
