Ehhh, I am thinking about Ferdinand's family now. How his mother collects terrifying bric-a-brac that she thinks is charming. Rudolph likes his potential son-in-law. He likes the cats and dogs, and the rabbits make his life a little too exciting with their constant antics and mischief. Ferdinand grew up around all of this and felt the warmth of his family, but sometimes in the oddest ways. He accepts strange bric-a-brac gifts from his mother and puts them in a box in the basement, waiting until Tillie passes away to see if he can send them elsewhere for someone else to haunt. He has learned to enjoy his father's quiet silence as they occupy a room together, with Rudolph's off-hand comments now and again. He's fond of animals but never wants to collect too many like Tillie, but if you hand him a jar of dark homemade jam or he sees a country quilt, he's filled with a great deal of nostalgic fondness.

Eli sees himself as the boring kid in this extraordinary family, the boring offspring of a rich heir to a famous werewolf pack, a bad boy with a tragic past in his youth, a DILF today with his dad's super skills, a fair and fierce true Alpha (alive and not DEAD) and an FBI agent as sarcastic as he is intelligent, a supernatural detective in his spare time, a fearsome spark, emissary and Alpha mate. Like the good old cliché of the character with no friends but his cousins and an overpowering entourage, so beloved and popular and so much more remarkable and interesting script-wise than he is.

(Perhaps Eli never could and never will be able to shift? Perhaps being human is in part the source of his fear.)

And being the good old cliché that he is, he apparently becomes interesting when he gets superpowers. (Stiles is not at all happy that the Nemeton has chosen him to be its guardian. In fact, no one in his family seems happy. Great.)

Honorable Mention: 7 Days Before Valentine - Dark Descent

Since the show isn't finished, and I know Q is going to be completely black before the end, I'm greatly enjoying seeing him get darker and darker each episode as he erases another person from existence at Sun's request.

Even though the lighting still shines brighter on him than Sun, I don't think that is going to last much longer, especially because I think Sun is going to ask Q to erase him which will cause Q to be the darkest he has been. I'm smiling too much at the mere thought of this to be sane, but this is a great visual narrative that I want to see more shows use consistently.

#5 - GAP - Tickled Pink

I love color exchanges (where a character wears the other character's color to show they are in love), but Sam, a Black Brooder, took her sweet ass time wearing Mon's pink in GAP. I was Kirby holding a knife outside her house all season waiting for Sam to prove that she loved Mon by simply wearing Mon's pink.

The last episode was upon us, and I needed to know if Sam was finally going to commit to Mon's pink; then, Idol Factory announced the finale would not be released on streaming platforms until after a paid screening. I was mad, but I'm a pirate by blood, so I watched an unsubbed version, saw Sam wearing pink as her WEDDING DRESS, and forgive Idol Factory for its season of color frustration because if the wedding didn't tell us Sam was committed to her Pink Person, the pink wedding dress sure the hell did.

#4 - Bed Friend - The Blue Light

Uea was great at communicating boundaries with King in Bed Friend, and King was even better abiding by them. So in the second episode, after taking Uea to go get tested after they had sex, King asked Uea to try a bed friends situation out, to which Uea said okay, but then avoided King. Blue Boy King (actually bi-colored) drove Red Rascal Uea home and put him on the spot asking Uea to make a decision as they waited at the red light with the countdown flashing: If Uea said "yes," they would go to King's condo, and if Uea said nothing, he would take Uea straight home. Then, Uea GAVE HIM THE GREEN BLUE LIGHT.

This light was blue instead of green which leaned into the color coding, but it was perfectly timed with Uea opening himself up to the possibility of something more with King. The light changing was a symbolic moment, and it was beautiful.

#3 - Last Twilight - Pink Milk

This series isn't finished, but I hope it continues to give me Mork in pink shirts because pink = 💗love💗, and this is the perfect homage to a BL tradition. Pink milk is a BL staple, but wasn't used that much in 2023. Only Friends referenced it, but Last Twilight purchased real estate in BL Land with its ode to it. Day and Mork had a nice day out together where Day purchased that bright ass pink shirt for Mork after Mork claimed it was too pink like Pink Milk for him to ever wear. Then, after losing each other on a busy street, Mork put on the bright pink shirt so Day could see him and hasn't stopped wearing pink since.

Mork fell first. He fell harder. And we don't need pink milk to know he is a member of the rainbow community. He has pink shirts to let us and Day see him for who he is - a man in love with another man.

#2 - Moonlight Chicken - Alan's Glow Up

Alan was in his feelings for most of his part in Moonlight Chicken. He was still in love with Wen and trying to make it work living with him, but Wen was done done. He was upset that Wen was seeing someone else. He broke a limb being drunk over Wen! He was sad, cold, and alone. Then, he spoke to Jim at the funeral after speaking with Kaipa, and he seemed to brighten up a bit.

Alan's color continued to brighten and become warmer as the series came to a close due to a combination of realizing Wen had really moved on, and that he, too, could do the same.

I won't give his newfound "friendship' with Kaipa all the credit because I truly think being friends with his ex and friendly with his ex's new boyfriend is what really warmed Alan up. Knowing he had a community, which was a theme in the series, was the support Alan needed to glow up.

#1 - The Eighth Sense - Monochrome Metro

This moment actually belongs to @how-to-be-a-tree who brought it to my attention, but Jae Won was color coded black and dark while Ji Hyun was a colorful and light person. When they went on their not-date-date, as they sat opposite of each other on the metro, their sides of the empty metro car reflected their respective color coding.

A few people in the reblogs and tags pointed out it was the BL version of the above meme, but it truly was a moment of pure awe that the show went as far as to color edit the seats to reinforce the story being told. Jae Won wasn't magically a lighter person simply being around Ji Hyun. He was still dark, and it wouldn't be until the end of the series that Jae Won actually became a bit lighter because HE was finally ready for change, which speaks volumes about depression and mental health.

Prompt: On a small trip away after a hard to crack case, Sherlock and his beloved wife need a small getaway *wink wink*

Cw: ofc smut, unprotected (ofc bc it's yk.. 1885 or so? Aka wrap that rascal), very malewife material Sherlock, rather vanilla, Sherlock just being a dear, ofc he'd give aftercare(also for fluff), some hair pulling, back scratching, quick transition from fluff to smut but it is indicated by a "~" symbol!

Arm in arm, you and your loving husband, Sherlock, were walking down the streets of this unknown area that you both ventured to in order to solve a case. Which proved to be far more difficult than you both planned. So, after a light discussion, you both agreed that it'd be nice to take a breather after the solving of the case. Now, back to the present moment. Your arm still intertwined with Sherlocks, his mind obviously occupied.

"What is it, love?" You asked, concerned.

He sighed, a slight smile appearing on his lips

"God, how many years has it been since our wedding?" He turned to you

"About maybe. . four, five years?"

The previous conversation made you realize just how long it's been since you and Sherlock have had some quality alone time. Bonus points because your anniversary was in about a week and a half.

"Ah, you're right. Now what did you have in mind, my dear" he spoke softly

"Well first off, let's get out of this alleyway. I think I just saw a rat!" You laughed as you pulled him out back onto the sidewalk.

You two walked off for a small whiles more until he suddenly stopped, checking his watch.

You were slightly upset at this, but he could always do something else a bit closer to your anniversary date instead. So you brushed it off

"Well.. we best be on our way then!"

He nodded and took your arm in his as you both walked back to where you were staying

As the two of you walked back up to your shared room, Sherlock grabbed you by your waist, spinning you around before passionately kissing your lips. He lightly picked you up before placing you back down on the bed. He shed his coat before crawling onto the bed on top of you.

"God, I couldn't wait for this.." he spoke, barely a whisper

Your face flushed at his sudden forwardness and change of mood, but oh my days was it attractive. It seemed almost like a matter of agonizing seconds until he pounded into you.

His body slamming into yours in the most perfect rhythm, his tip pulling at your ridges, his low-toned groans and growls(not literally), this man was simply a dream. Years have you been together but each time you join it's always a pleasure.. quite literally.

One hand clawing into his back, the other tangled in his brown locks of hair. By the time you two were finished, you were a sweaty, sticky, and tired mess. While he caught his breath, his arms cradled your waist for a bit. During this time of peace, he'd kiss your shoulders too, whispering sweet nothings and "I love you. Oh so much."

After he caught a bit of energy, Sherlock would get up, and run a bath for you. Though he was in his shorts by now, he'd still be a gentleman and pick you up bridal style into the bath, the water being the perfect temperature. When you finally finish your bath, expect a warm plate of food waiting at the seat right next to your husband.

Poly Katakuri x Maren x Female Reader HCs (SFW & NSFW 18+ only)

Spending Time with Maren (SFW)

As a half porcupinefish fishman, Maren is always the appropriate size for the job. Able to puff his body up to beyond Katakuri's height, or shrink down to just a bit taller than you, he can completely engulf you in a hug if he feels like it. His torso is really soft, but his hands are rough from work--its something you love, and makes you appreciate the gentle warmth of his chest more.

If you're not a devil fruit user, he LOVES to swim with you! He gets a bit sappy about it--being a fishman was always something that made him feel like an outcast, so being able to swim freely under the water with you makes him feel like he's able to share more of his world with you. He's a pretty slow swimmer, so you dont have many problems keeping pace with him.

If you are a devil fruit user, he LOVES to (consensually) hold you close to his large body as he wades around in the sea and chat with you. It's one of his favorite places to be, and loves the feeling of salt water spraying on his skin as the tides roll over his belly. The fact that you trust him enough to allow him to hold you in such a treacherous environment makes him feel very loved by you.

Maren is the funniest person you know, so you always have a great time spending time with him! He enjoys causing chaos but is surprisingly attentive to the feelings of others--he's not afraid to offend folks, but he is kind-hearted deep down and will try to make up for any long-term harm he causes. You might get a little bit embarrassed of him sometimes, but he's really just trying to act cool for you.

He might get you two into some trouble but he'll quickly take the blame for it--as a troublemaker known for his harmlessness, he'll probably get off with little more than a slap on the wrist. He has a lot of charm, so it's not uncommon for strangers to do complete 180s on him--at first they'll be ready to murder him for his misdeeds, but after he talks them down, he becomes a loveable rascal in their eyes.

Unfortunately, Maren can be a bit stubborn when he doesn't want to do something. He is a very laid back guy, but there are some places he simply does not want to tread. He'll try anything once, but if he did it once and didn't like it, good luck getting him to do it again. His adoration for you is about 1% stronger than his stubborn nature, so it may take a bit, or a lot, of convincing in the form of snacks, kisses, and foot rubs, but he'll always give in at the end.

He's often the life of the party, even in quiet times at home. He'll whip out his banjo and write romantic songs with a comedic twinge about his love for you and your funny quirks.

His favorite thing about you are the weird things that make you unique, and he notices them all. It can sound like insults sometimes, "what do you mean you love the pores on my nose?!" but you've learned to appreciate them, he just has a funny way of showing his love.

In Bed With Maren (NSFW)

Calling this category "in bed" is a stretch, Maren is pretty much DTF anytime, anywhere, most consequences be damned.

This man fucks. He's not incapable of a good, slow, lovemaking session, but it's not his default setting. He wants to have fun while he shows his appreciation for you.

He tends to be rather controlling and dominant in bed, and is the biggest tease you know. He gets a huge amount of pleasure at teasing you until you snap--you always tell yourself you'll win next time, but by the end of the night, you're begging for him to just fuck you already. If you take matters into your own hands, he's very compliant but might tease you for being impatient.

Maren is very particular about making sure his partners get off multiple times (if possible) before he does--while it's not impossible for him to go for multiple rounds, he loves taking a big fat nap after blowing his load. He's the more mature of your two partners, though Maren tends to have more common sense than him. Still, Katakuri is a very good listener, so you feel very comfortable venting to him about your problems. He takes everything rather seriously, which can be refreshing after a day with the ever-joking Maren.

Katakuri's hugs are very gentle, and you can tell that he has a fear of hurting you. Because of his role as a family protector, tends to treat those he loves with a lot of delicacy. He doesn't see you as weak, however--he just is overly conscious of how his strength can harm people because of the life he leads, so he's always sure to pick you up very softly.

Due to the nature of his work overseeing his island, it's not uncommon for you to take time off from your own work to hop onto his shoulder and ride around with him for a day as he tends to affairs. You love watching him work because it seems to be something he legitimately enjoys--this role he's carved out for himself as a caretaker for his own community, he shows a lot of care and interest in the affairs of his fellow townspeople. Everyone is always happy to see you two together, as they all were so worried for Katakuri being alone for so long.

Ms. Finnley, Sephiroth’s nursery school teacher, decided to go on an excursion to the nearest children’s playground. His excitement was limited, since it had been pouring unceasingly the whole morning. He loved the rain, but not if he was forced to play outside, so the only option that was left for him was to sit on a wooden bench while he watched the other children play. If one looked at him, he came across like a sad, little boy who helplessly clung on the handle of his umbrella. Thanks to its efforts to shield him from the raindrops, his clothes and his hair stayed dry, but that didn’t make him less trembling like a leaf.

He tucked up his knees in a hopeless attempt to keep himself warm, but it didn’t really help that much. Instead, his current position made him look even smaller than he already was.

Sephiroth was seething: Why in the world would the nursery school teacher dare to visit the nearby children’s playground today of all days?! Couldn’t they have just stayed inside like the other groups?! That tricky little rascal seemed to be hidden well, as it was nowhere to be seen, yet that only fueled Sephiroth’s determination to find this frog even more. 

He has never found a real one out in the wild before, so he especially showed great interest in this fine specimen. 

“Are you looking for Billy~?” Normally, Sephiroth hated being interrupted in his schemes and would simply dismiss the voices of others around him who dared to disturb him. Not because she was horrified that, out of all people, Sephiroth, who read one book after another, never heard about the Frog Prince before.

On the contrary, she got very excited to share one of her favourite fairy tales with him! “Okay, let me tell you about it: It’s a fairy tale for children, where a frog helps a princess to get her golden ball back. She loved to play with that ball, but unfortunately, it fell into a well while she threw it high into the air. The ball dropped on a frog’s head and he jumped out and gave it back to her. In exchange for his help, the frog demanded a kiss from her. Of course, the princess declined at first, saying how disgusting it would be to kiss a frog. Ew! Then the frog told her that he was actually a prince that was enchanted by an evil witch, and if she kissed him, she would break the spell and he’d turn back. And after she kissed him this time, they lived happily together ever after.” 

Even though Sephiroth wasn’t much into fairy tales, he listened with careful attention to every word she spoke to him. This story didn’t make any sense to him in retrospect: How could a human turn another human into a frog just like that? “But… A human can’t turn another human into a frog just like that”, he repeated his last thought out loud as he looked at Angel in disbelief. “Well”, she replied while she crossed her arms, “it’s called magic! With the power of magic, people can turn everything into anything!” “Magic doesn’t exist. It’s humbug.” Angel almost stumbled backwards when she heard Sephiroth’s blunt remark on her belief in magic. How could he be so mean and tell her that straight into her face?! She was appalled! To vent her displeasure, she stomped closer to Sephiroth, hands on her hips and her face blazed with anger. “Oh yeah? I’m going to prove to you that magic DOES exist! If we find Billy, then I’ll give him a kiss, and then he’ll turn into a lovely prince, just like in the fairy tale!” Sephiroth’s hair stood on end when Angel told him about her plan to kiss a frog. He shook his head and shuddered with disgust. “That’s disgusting…”, he mumbled quietly and turned away from Angel, only to be greeted by the frog he was looking for the whole time. 

Billy was sitting on a thick branch of a tree he was standing just in front of him and didn’t seem bothered by anything at all.

Their eyes met for a moment and then, without any prior warning, Billy took the risk of a huge jump and successfully landed on Sephiroth’s head. While he screamed in terror, Angel laughed herself to tears. “Get that thing off of me!”, he squealed in panic and his grip on the handle of his umbrella got even tighter and his whole body tensed up. The sheer thought of having a slimy frog touching his body sent a very uncomfortable shiver down his spine, which almost made him cry. Ordinarily, he was also set against the idea of touching such a creature altogether, so he desperately pleaded for Angel to free him from this unpleasantness. Angel in the meanwhile was shaking with laughter, yet she couldn’t bear seeing her dear friend suffering that badly, so she quickly obliged to his plea and picked up Billy onto the palm of her hands. “You stupid creature!”,he yelled at him angrily, “I’m going to dissect you for that insolence!” “He’s a prince! You cannot dissect him!” “That abomination is not a prince! It’s a crime against nature!” Poor Billy looked down ashamed and a sad croak escaped his throat. Apparently, it was able to understand his harsh words and they made him feel ashamed for being a frog…

“Now you made him sad, Sephy… How can you be so cruel…”, she talked back to him while gently petting the frog’s head, “but don’t you worry, Billy! I’m going to give you a kiss and then everything will be fine again, my little prince~” Before she leaned in to kiss him, she gave him a little nudge with her nose to cheer Billy up a little. Then, she closed her eyes and gave him a quick smoochie right on his lips. Sephiroth felt like he could faint any minute from utter disgust, while Angel was on the edge of her seat, hoping for the frog to turn into a prince. 5 Seconds… 10 Seconds… 15 Seconds… But nothing happened. Even after waiting for a whole minute, the frog didn’t seem to give any impressions of turning into anything. Angel was heartbroken and though Sephiroth felt good to be in the right with his view on magic, he couldn’t stand seeing her like this.

“I’m sorry it didn’t work, Angel…”, she spoke softly to her; looking just as heartbroken as she did. Angel sighed sadly; her eyes still fixed on Billy. She was still secretly hoping that he would turn into a prince. It must have been a very powerful spell! Perhaps that’s the reason why it took so long! And besides, hope dies last after all, right? But unfortunately, she hoped in vain.

“Don’t be sorry”, she finally replied to Sephiroth,  “maybe it just wasn’t the right prince for me… I will keep him though. He may not be a prince, but he can be my pet!” Her face brightened up within a second at her idea as she tapped Billy’s head carefully with her fingers. Sephiroth admired her optimism after experiencing such a great disappointment and even though she didn’t get her prince, he was genuinely happy for her that she at least got a new pet!He shyly moved closer to her and covered her with his umbrella; his cheeks slightly blushing as he realised how close he was standing in front of her.

“W-We should do back, otherwise Ms. Finnley will be worried about us!”, he stuttered, trying to change the subject to hide his nervousness.

okay i got interesting take

in my opinion, like 90% of straight romances/ships are FUCKING BORING, and usually try to spice it up, by adding more girls, this opinion i hold so dear, that i was on verge from.trying to strangle my friend, for saying <insert harem name> was really good romance.

But why could that be so? because lots of straight romances just follows base line of, "cute/shy" or whatever girl, and more dominant than her guy with interests like "i literally just exist in this series with no other purpose than wanting gf", and follow most basic set gender standards, and most basic made up relationship dysmorphia where girl is clearly bottom, and guy is the top/he "leads" the relationship, you get what i mean? 100% not, it wont stop me tho.

While yuri/yaoi ships always derive from most boring version of relationship that church people gaslit us into thinking is only valid way, by sheer fact that either both character fill same role or one of them has to not follow the most basic made up gender rules, like bottom.guy, or maybe huge girl who searches for little bunny girl etc. Like, just taking most basic romance plot ever, and genderbending one of characters by itself changes whole vibe so much!

But ofc, not all straight romances are bad, that would imply any romance is bad (i mean, there are few bad romances, like wanting to date children, but for sake of this ride of a post, we are talking about 2 consenting people of either similar age for teenagers, or just 2 consenting adults ok?), but the only good straight romances i saw, were the ones that just didnt really gave much fuck about being the most generic romance plot, and doing that would make any romance good (m/m, m/f, f/f etc), one of my favourite examples, would be violet evergarden! yeah, it does for the most part follow the rules of strong protective man, and small fragile girl (except for the fact that violet absolutelly kicks ass), but series itself isnt about 2 charcaters dating, Its about violet learning what love is, and not just romantic one, she learns about sibling love, parent/child love, love for world, love for work and many more! What makes it good is not us seeing them dating, its how we togehder with Violet slowly learn more about love, slowly growing attached to him, this love story is very beautifull, because its not focusing on that part.

(at this point i had hard time finding more proof of good hetero romances, so i had to dig throught list if stuff i watched etc) Also, one of my fave mangas of all time, was domestic na kanojo, where the romance being interesting, was enforced by, lemme check my notes, 2 sisters competing for their step brother, where 1 is his teacher and other is girl he lost virginity with. You can see im streching my arguments at this point huh. Whatever, in this series, what makes it actually interesting love story and not easy porn material, is all the hardships charcaters go throught, and questions it gives! Natsuo wanting hina, but knowing its just some stupid kids love, constantly hurting rui as resoult of his inner conflict about hina, wanting to get close with rui, and suddenly cutting it off because he is just a kid who is scared, of what might be, as i used to be kid, i very much know the feeling od wanting to do something, but being scared to commit, constantly swinging between wanting it, and being afraid, only hurting other in process.

okay this one is quite boring romance, but in interesting way so as per last argument, lets talk about "Rascal does not dream about bunny girl senpai" where mc gets the girl after like 2 episodes, and then we just see them, chill like cute couple, or get a bit jealous, its not much, but i find it interesting to see quite realistic (from standpoint of someone who's longest relationship lasted 2 months, including 1 month breakup), but she anime isnt about it, so seeing them being nice, realistiy behaving couple is nice addition

In conclusion, straight romances fucking suck and dont recomend them to me without 3 pages explanation why it doesnt suck, harems get instant no-no tho

i stopped playing this in like late february and i definitely want to start playing it again. it has been more constructive for me for practicing japanese because it is just a bit less dense than other games like path of radiance. i think i like only finished the first little arc though LOL in the forest w the caterpillar boss

Super Mario Galaxy (JP) [dead/i should get back to it]

i got pretty far here! i think ive 100%ed everything up to the bedroom. there's not much i can say about what ive practiced with this game besides it was a nice refresher/maintainer; there's furigana for the kanji and all the characters speak in unique ways that are still digestible

Dark Souls (again. as a cleric) [dead/its ok i got like more than halfway through so it'll be fun to pick up again whenever i do]

after i beat the game with naomi i like immediately started another file as my cleric madeline. its been really fun with her and ive been enjoying using ultra great swords/lightning magic with her. iiiii got the lordvessel and i saved the cleric in the tomb of the giants, and i made it to the ash lake and the painted world for the first time this playthrough

it is very very interesting playing japanese sonic because some of the characters have like very different personalities. sonic is more like, Cool Dependable Upstanding guy who like shouts stuff in english sometimes (ALL RIIGHT/Hey !), where I feel like english sonic is a little bit more of an rascal

amy is like a LOT more "cute". like english amy is like scary and Her Own Girl but jp amy is just like more sweet (for the record i feel like english amy is a lot more engaging and fun (I love lisa ortiz amy))

I will have joey fall asleep to me playing games and after kotor stopped working this is what i picked up. i like this game a lot, a lot of the uh.. the voice acting can annoy me (SOMETIMES i really like it) and how lightheartedly the game depicts war and racism irks me, but i love love love love how the game plays. its fire emblem but you're down On The Field doing the work and its very engaging

As we walk in I immediately get hit with the smell of cheese and whiskey, and boy do I like cheese, he began talking to his stream, as he was talking i saw the message board, and all i saw were messages bullying him and making fun of him for crying, i couldn't help but giggle quietly, but then I hear "now let the fun begin"

"Could you stop whining?" Clicking your tongue you push away a sobbing Satoru sitting above your lap hanging to you like a sloth. You can't reach your office table anymore and surrendered to defeat of being crushed beneath the giant Q-tip.

"Nanami don't notice me anymore!" He wailed like a brat. Hugging you with the exaggerated sobs and tears.

You stiffened at the threatening snot he's gonna rub on you.

"Get off!" With all your strength you push the man off of you before he even share his virus. Pulling out a kerchief you place it on his nose, automatically he blew on it and sniffled.

"I swear you're worse than a 6 years old brat." You grimace and grab your sanitizer, spraying a good amount before facing back the man who's sitting on the floor hugging your legs.

Did you feed him the wrong medicine this morning? Why is he being another 120% dramatic than usual?

"So? What happened?" You asked. Well you should ask or else this sulking session of his won't stop until you give him attention.

"There's this urgent thing I need to tell him," his glossy lips formed a pout looking up to you.

Judging how Nanami is evading him like a plague the blond won't surely answer his calls or messages. You tap in your phone but the battery is out.

You saw the paper in your desk and pen and gave it to Satoru.

"Write what you need to say to him. I'll give it to Nanami later."

"Really?! Thanks Sugarplum!"

He look up to you with sparkling eyes underneath the blindfold and wipe his crocodile tears away, grabbing the paper the Q-tip you exasperatedly love skip away to his table thinking of what he should write.

You stare at him dedicatedly writing when he burst out laughing by himself banging to the table.

"Dumbass," you sighed already used to Gojo Satoru's whimsical antics.

Megumi as a child grew up under Gojo Satoru's (not so child-friendly) tutelage. He doesn't technically hate or like the man although he respected the seniority, but that respect is now burn to ashes.

It started with Satoru handing him an envelope with the usual nonsensical scribbling.

"Megumi-chan~ hold out your hand."

Megumi look up his foolishly grinning Sensei, the very same ridiculous grin he flashed when they first met.

"Cut the chan out," he sighed and abide the request, he don't want to be pestered by this 190cm rascal.

"Hai! I'll give you~ open it before lunch okay? Jaa! I still have a lunch date with my Sugarplum." Just like that the man dash away to his office leaving his student bewildered.

Megumi being the 'reformed' he is now followed the instructions. After grabbing food with Itadori and Kugisaki he opened first the envelope and the blue eyes of his lost its light.

"What's that Fushiguro?" Itadori asked leaning to see the paper and burst out laughing.

Megumi stare at the drawing of a poop with Satoru's name scribbled underneath.

"Why?" Kugisaki followed and deflated at the image.

"I pity Y/n-Sensei having to deal with that guy."

"Gojo-sensei is damn good at drawing!" Itadori clutch his stomach gasping for air from laughing too much.

Nanami:

"Y/n-san." Nanami approach you with a rather complicated look.

"What is it Nanami?"

"Can you leash Gojo-san and stop him from destroying my inner peace?"

Megumi:

"Y/n-sensei," Megumi approach you during combat training.

"Yes Megumi?"

"Have you ever wondered what did you eat the day you said yes to that guy?" He pointed to Satoru giggling like a fool sitting above Panda's shoulders.

The Owl House, Season 2, Episode 15, "Them's the Breaks, Kid," First Impressions!

This was nice.

Okay, this was definitely a breather episode. Apparently the next one is going to have a few punches, so they wanted to give us something low-stress and heartwarming to ready us for when the bombs drop.

And it worked. This wasn’t the most engaging or thrilling episode, there were only a couple of big reveals, and they were happy ones. The story of how Eda and Raine first met didn’t have much in the way of high drama or twists. But it was still…nice. I had a big, sappy smile on my face while watching this.

But what’s funny is that the main point of this episode might be the thing that I have the least amount of commentary for. Eda and Raine were both highly talented witches, one bored of their mind and the other with a talent for chaos, both of whom wound up somewhere they didn’t want to be, and they hit it off. They liked each other, they had chemistry, they became friends, they turned a sadistic Coven Head’s little game on its head and stood up to her though doing so meant both of their expulsion, thereby setting things into play that would alter the course of the Boiling Isles’ history…

Okay, so maybe there was some drama.

Still, seeing baby Eda and baby Raine just be rascals together was a lot of fun. It’s easy to see why Eda took to Luz so easily. She just appreciates that sort of chaotic talent and drive. I wonder if Terra Snapdragon, here back in her MILF phase before she would transition to a full-on GILF, felt the same way about Raine.

Man, Terra kind of is the most terrifying of the Coven Heads so far. Lady is unhinged.

Though honestly, I can’t help but wonder if had Eda and Raine’s first meeting had more drama like Luz and Amity did, they would have handled Eda’s curse better. Luz and Amity started off as enemies, started off seeing each other’s worst sides before slowly coming to see the best in one another, and since they already had that foundation by the time they hooked up, they already learned the importance of emotional honesty, whereas Eda was so terrified of her curse hurting Raine that she ended up pushing them away until they finally got frustrated and called it quits. And while I can see either Luz or Amity getting scared in the same way, I can’t see it going the same way that it did for Eda and Raine.

In other news, we also got a look at the younger version and/or parents of several of our regular characters, most notably little Darius, Alador, and Odalia. Huh, so they were all friends at one point. I wonder what caused the falling out. Mutual jealousy? Odalia, maybe? Whatever it is, it’s just so hilariously petty that I really hope that it’s something really, really stupid. That would just be the best.

And Principal Faust. Oh, my God. If you thought Bump was strict, wow.

I love this guy. He was just so over-the-top evil that it was kind of hilarious. I found his voice super familiar though, and kept wondering where I heard it from. Turns out it was nowhere. Literally never heard of his voice actor before. Oh well. He did a good job though.

And younger Bump did seem very fond of Eda. Maybe his resentment of her was less about her being such a handful and more about her dropping out, leading to him feeling like she’s wasting her potential. He did already have the messed up eye at this point. Wonder if Faust had something to do with that.

Also, poor baby Eda and baby Lilith. They were very close at this point of time, but you can see why they had the falling out, even setting the curse thing aside. Eda was just so much more talented at magic while being an overall slacker and troublemaker, while Lilith had to work twice as hard in order to be half as good. Maybe that has something to do with what she had to run off to do at the end.

And I love that little doodle Luz made of Eda and Raine. You could tell she was really into the story and wanted to stay up and here the whole thing, but she was just so exhausted. Aw.

But this episode was not without its reveals. So, Raine still has control of their mind. Clever little Sprout. And huh, Darius is actually working with them! So, the rebellion lives on. And I suppose I owe Any Sport in a Storm an apology. When it came out, I criticized it for how quickly Darius changed his opinion of Hunter. But if he’s part of some internal rebellion, then it makes sense for him to resent Belos’s puppet for mindlessly following orders, only to warm up to him when Hunter started pushing back at what Belos wanted. A nice little extra layer there. I wonder who else might be in on it. Eberwolf, maybe?

Also, Raine. Go get your kids. SAVE KATYA!

As for the plan, it looks like Belos is planning on draining everyone’s magic, using the Coven Heads as a focal point. Uh, that can’t be good. At all.

Also, since the eclipse looks like Amity’s necklace, do the Blights have something to do with the Collector? I know people have theorized about that before, but it is something worth thinking about.

But all that will be revealed in time. Now we do know that Raine is still actively fighting the good fight, and still cares deeply about Eda. There really were a lot of little hints in the parade episode that you only really catch in hindsight. Man, these creators are smart.

First off, you and I mean Y/N is the ONLY one who can see Kakashi without his mask. He feels that his wife is the only person in the world who is only allowed to see him without his mask and cause he loves and trusts you a lot. He feels only comfortable showing it to his amazing wife and no one else, not even Guy sensei (even though they were buddies since they were kids). His love for you is strong.

He would send you random messages during your work saying “Yo! make sure to take care of yourself alright?....Also, do you wanna order food tonight?”

You both work and I definitely see Kakashi in a modern AU with a job as a teacher and he would brag to you about his students. Especially Naruto (won’t shut the fuck up in the class) and Sasuke and how they always fight, making him slowly gonna lose it with them one day.

Also, he would talk to you about Shikamaru being such a rascal that gets on his nerves whenever he corrects him in class, or sleeps and whenever he says “Sensei, going to your lessons is such a drag..” and his friend Choji eats a lot of snacks at the back of the class but Kakashi secretly takes one of his snacks without him knowing.

Whenever he mentions them to you during dinner time, you feel at ease and even chuckle and start to relax. And he knows that cause he has seen you been so busy lately with work and he wants to always see you laugh and not tense up.

You both have the same timing of your break time so, you being such a workaholic, you try to even work during the breaks but someone stops you by doing that. Your awesome husband. Kakashi literally rings you even 5 minutes before your break from a video call.

You guys would defiantly match clothes and he loves that so much.

Kakashi catches you sometimes wearing his mask and he finds that so cute, it melts his heart. “Haha, you are so adorable!” and he would give you his happy face smile and hug you as you blush. You always get embarrassed and shy whenever he throws in comments such as “you look hot”, “you are my sweetheart” and etc.. and he knows that! but does it on purpose cause he likes to see how you get all red and especially in public ;)

During the weekends, he knows you wake up early to work and so he decided to change that and make the weekends to bake! Every morning in the weekend you guys would bake cookies and muffins and they smell and taste so good. (you eventually forget the load of work you had to do and Kakashi notices that and he gets happy lowkey-)

Okay, he is a big fan of reading, and so he loves reading comics and fanboys about it to you!

During your work, as you wait for the next customer you would get a random message from him and he would send screenshots of the comic and he’s like “Omg dear, did you read the latest chapter?!”. You know he is all excited so you texted him back. “Hm, No why?”. “Quick!! Go read it before I spoil it!”

Would chill and vibe with you for sure whenever you play some music and both of you are sitting at the balcony, stargazing.

He is in charge of cooking most of the time cause he knows you have more work than him and whenever he cooks, oh...it’s amazing and that’s one of the best things when you get back home after a long day.

He would brush your hair every time whenever you go out to work which is usually earlier than him

Whenever you sleep together, he would cover you up with the comforter while you sleep and would later hug you around your shoulders, he does that to hold you and also to shield you (it’s a habit of his and its cute)

He would give you also a thumbs up all the time before you leave and say “Good luck dear with work!” (it’s now your lucky charm before you leave work). Oh, and he would always remind you to take your lunch that he packs for you every early morning and he would usually put a cute little note there saying ‘Don't overwork yourself!’

I feel like he would get another small tattoo on his wrist after marrying Y/N.

During breaks if your work place is near his, you guys would have cafe break dates and he would literally recharge even if he sees a glimpse of you.

You guys have his pet dog, Pakkun, one of his smallest cute dogs who is usually grumpy but ever since Pakkun met you, they loved you instantly and listens to you instead of Kakashi. Ha....This damn dog. He would think and twitch his eyes as Pakkun is all over you. (The dog is doing that on purpose to piss Kakashi off).

Makes you stay up with him late at night reading comics and the stories you both like to spazz about it and he loves doing that with you.

All his students thought he is a lonely sad man who lives alone with his dog and reads comics.

He once caught Naruto using his phone in class and he was going to give him detention but....he was shocked to find him reading the comic that Kakashi and his wife liked the most.

Kakashi: “Naruto! I told you not to use your......Oh.” Damn he is in chapter 34 already?! I need to caught up, this little kid is fast.  

“Hm...Sensei?...WAIT! YOU READ IT TOO!” Naruto would scream and get up from his seat. “Naruto, shut up you are being loud.” Shit.

He would text you immediately after that. “Omg...Y/N! Naruto reads our favorite comic!!”

Y/N: “NO WAY! Bond with this kid, he seems cool.”

After that, his favorite student is Naruto and they become pretty close but still finds him annoying, although Kakashi finds him as a good kid. And when they have parent teacher conference, Kakashi wouldn’t mention to Minato and Kushina that he uses his phone during class or skipping some classes.

Hunter Noceda AU: Venance

So yeah, Golden Guard version two!

When Belos does find out about Hunter in YBOS, Hunter gets the bomb dropped about them being related (idk how yet). but Hunter obviously doesn’t believe in it. Until Hunting Palismen comes around and they find this small thingy, Venance.

(thank you @bernardo-draws-and-cries​​ for the name. Its based on the name Venâncio, which means “the one who hunts”)

He is another grimwalker made by Belos, he’s 12 (yeah.) and way more stressed (Belos has gotten more iron fisted after losing Hunter). Someone save this poor child

- He’s just starting out as the Golden Guard (and he’s not a coven head. Kikimora is. And she still wants him dead too), he’s still getting the hang of it. He does act tough and serious, way more serious than canon GG/Hunter, no space for goofyness.

- So yeah, a duo Hunting Palismen thing would be fun. Haven’t sorted out everything here but I do think Hunter would also go with Luz because of no palisman reasons. And he hasn’t met Ven yet, he only heard Lilith talking about him and Luz and Eda dealing with him on Separate Tides (he was busy drowning in guilt and trying to help with the money situation in other ways), so when he meets Ven and when he sees his face and how similar they are (and how many scars that kid already has), he’s reasonably confused/upset, like “Oh, that creepy man wasn’t lying. This doesn’t make anything on this situation better”

- After the initial surprise/confusion, Luz and Hunter jokingly call him Ghaterer until they learn his name, then they start calling him Ven. At first Ven hates this nickname but ends up reluctantly accepting it.

- Even before Eclipse Lake he’s so scared about being replaced, and knowing about Hunter’s existence in the Boiling Isles makes it worse, now he’s super sure he isn’t as valuable to Belos anymore. So he hates Hunter

- Hunter: come here youre part of the found family now

Ven: NO

Hunter: too late *picks him up*

Hunter: If Luz taught me something is that if you didn’t want to get assimilated into my found family, you should have killed me when you had the chance

Yeah that’s their dynamic when Hunter learns a bit more about him

- Venance doesn’t have much respect as the Golden Guard yet. He’s small (like, maybe even less than 1,50m/4′11″), young, has just been starting out on this role, like, in the last few months, could easily be picked up like a kitty, so he has to fight quite a bit to be taken seriously. Which results on him being way more grumpy and short tempered

- So he doesn’t take it very well when hes made fun of by the scouts in Latissa. Not at all

- Hunter, who was joking around until then:…are you okay?

Ven: I AM! *barely holding the tears back*

Hunter:

Hunter: that’s it youre part of the family now

Ven: you can’t do that

Hunter: we’re two and you’re one, we have your staff and youre very light.

(he still would put up a fight, and it would take a while for it to end. And he bites hard, he has very sharp fangs)

- Scouts: Go home with your sibiling

Hunter: *oh. Oh yeah i forgot we have the same freaking face*

- They don’t know yet about the grimwalker thing. Well, maybe Ven discovers later but at the moment where Hunting Palismen happens, neither of them know anything besides them being related, Ven got told he is his brother, and that Hunter was taken away from the coven before he was born

- Rascal seeing Hunter: hey you’re cool, i kinda want to be your palisman

Rascal seeing Ven: oh heck this kid needs help 

- I’m not sure if Hunter gets Lil Rascal. Because on one side, would be fun for him to have Lil Rascal and train doing magic like this, but also could be good for Ven to have some small support back at home, like how they are to Hunter in canon. So this hasn’t been decided yet. Hunter could either get Lil Rascal and Ven doesn’t get a palisman/gets a blue jay palisman, or Ven gets Lil Rascal and Hunter comes back also empty handed

- So I’m going with the no palisman for Hunter route for now. 

- It’s a bitter moment for both him and Luz. He tries to convince her that it’s okay, that they’ll get theirs soon, but she still kinda feels like a failure about this. And he himself thinks it’s because they don’t have a magic bile sac, so it’s not a good time for them. Eda and King lift their spirits a bit about this, though.

- Either by peeking around or just flat out being told, Ven does learn about him (and Hunter) being grimwalkers. What does he do with that? He has a crisis about it, which raises even more the stakes for him in Eclipse Lake. He still wouldn’t know his purpose for the Day of Unity, but he would know that he was created for it and could lose his position if he didn’t prove himself worthy of it.

- He would explode at Hunter one day and end up telling the truth about them being Grimwalkers (after Eclipse Lake)

- Ven: Do you want to know what you really are?! You’re a clone! You’re just someone’s clone just like me! A replacement!

Hunter, trying to not freak out but freaking out anyways: ...are you okay?

Ven; WHAT DO YOU THINK?

- If Belos is searching for Hunter, on the grounds of him being a more mature grimwalker than Venance, Ven could end up resorting to sabotaging the searches, he doesn’t want to be replaced.

- And he’s making Ven convinced that he will be replaced, to pit both boys against eachother. He gets Ven more under his thumb and not risking Hunter making Ven change his mind. Which doesn’t work as he intented, Ven does get scared about it but Hunter ends up pretty quickly going “dude why do you think I want to replace you?” and Ven is quickly thrown into a loop because he can’t understand why he wouldn’t want to do that

- Ven: what do you mean with “I don’t wanna be the Golden Guard”? If you’re like me you should DESIRE IT SINCE YOU WERE BORN

Hunter: lol no. I dealt with my need of approval a year ago on therapy.

Hunter: Also being a cop sucks.

- This boy is a tense child always a few bad moments away from a breakdown/meltdown. And has anger problems. A lot of anger in a very tiny body

- There’s some more interactions between Ven and the Noceda duo, and he would rather die than admit that he’s got slightly attached to them

- Eda: Luz told me that Golden Guard is a uwu smol boi that needs to be protected, hell knows what this means 

Hunter, who definetly came there too because FUCKING COOL ASS CAVE AND LAKE: i hate/love her

Ven: If i ever see that human again-

Amity AND Hunter: watch your fucking mouth

(definetly not how it would play out but very funny sdkdshdfsj)

- In terms of strength he couldn’t defeat Amity in a fight for the key, he would lean more on the blackmailing. He is a 12 year old but he’s still on a position of power on the emperor’s coven and he knows where the key is, it would put the owlfam on Belos’ line of sight again (if they even ever went away from it)

- That or he passes out, gets dragged out of there by them (he’s a lil shit but they’re not going to leave him there alone where Kikimora could kill him) and he falls asleep for 12 hours in the couch on the owl house. Which ends up giving him a day where he can be just a kid. He’s very weirded out by everything but he enjoys it a little bit at least. He would still try to get the key and would be torn apart by the guilt of thinking of doing this and the guilt of not doing this

- It wouldn’t take much to make him want to stay in the owl house. He’s starved for positive attention. It wouldn’t be easy but also it’s not as hard as for how Hunter is right now in canon

- I don’t think this could happen but I keep thinking about one day him and Hunter switching places so he can be just a kid for one day. Would be cool to see him sneaking into Hexside (or being dragged there, which is more likely to happen) and interacting with Willow and Gus

And that’s some of what we have for Ven right now! He’s a fun character to figure out :3
