if i finish writing my fic about chilchuck teaching marcille to knit it'll be over for you guys
#pickle pontificates#think about it. i found another extra that references magic warmups btw#that one had hair braiding meditation and hand gestures#but think about it. are knitting/crochet/various other needle arts not very repetitive meditative things???#wouldn't knitting be a great method of magic warmups in place of hair braiding???#marcille uses her hair for magic a couple times and it could be that it has inherently magical properties#but my theory is that hers is imbued with magic because she uses it for warmups all the time#so then it could follow that the resulting knitted items would be imbued with magical properties... dungeon rabbit resistant scarf anyone?#or a fireproof sweater?#why is chilchuck my chosen victim for the person to teach her? well. on my conspiracy wall over here you can see that chilchuck frequently#sits down to sew his clothes/equipment back together throughout canon. i think it's safe to say that he's canonically good at sewing#the only other characters who we see demonstrate similar abilities are mrs. tansu who is a beast at knitting and an icon#and falin. who carries sewing supplies in her equipment (smart) but has frankly atrocious stitching#as can be seen in the comic where she and laios offer to help put marcille's name on her stuff and it's illegible#mrs. tansu really has no relation to marcille#and although falin's bad sewing may have been due to her eyesight (which would no longer affect that) she is canonically also a bad teacher#i think she would try enthusiastically but i do not see it working out#so chilchuck it is.#a fic based around these concepts allows me to further these agendas:#marcille recovering from dungeon lord shenanigans with the help of her friends agenda#chilchuck engaging in reluctant dadly activities agenda#needle arts chilchuck agenda#and... the special bonus i would like to get to... chilchuck reuniting with his wife agenda#and wingman marcille agenda#AND contributing to the dunmeshi platonic fic agenda??? so many wins#there.#now all i gotta do is finish writing it. which is an issue because i have two school assignments due yesterday

I have been trying to calm my mind with meditation, and I have learned that sitting still and focusing on my breathing makes me dizzy( not sure if I’m hyper or hypo ventilating, but it’s not comfy)
So I thought, if I need to sit and count and stay in the moment, I’ll just knit and crochet instead.
So every day I set time aside to knit or crochet and empty my mind of everything but the stitches, the pattern, the feel of yarn in my hands… and it helps so much.

Through the heel and gusset! I’m liking the color more than I initially thought I would, it really comes though nicely. It does completely obscure the really simple pattern I went with, but also that was just to give my brain something to do. (6 rounds each: kkkp, kkpk, kpkk, pkkk, kpkk, kkpk; repeat.) Turning the heel, I was thinking about how nice it feels to just…know how to do that. I’m not a fantastic knitter, like I don’t have the right kind of creative brain to write patterns or the commitment to knit huge intricate pieces. But I can make a sock whenever I feel like it! Come to think of it, it’s like baking cookies or bread, in that sense, a skill I could probably get pretty good at if I worked at it, but I’m content with the nourishment I get from where I am now.

I had weird dream where mom, sis and I went in this one place and there was this machine what you can play with after installing coins in it. Someone had forgot a coin in it and the game was flashing lights as a sign “you can still play!”. I noticed a strawberry button so I pressed it before mom could.
We won a little bit of money so we kept playing until we won 9,77€. Mom still wanted to play so we kept playing. We pressed the play button in turns. In one of my turn mom asked me if I won anything (she stood behind the machine for a some reason). I looked in the “box” where the winnings come and there was some papers etc. with 3 reflector bags. I told mom that only the reflector bags are shining.
We ended up losing all out wins (9,77€ only). Mom didn’t seem to mind but I felt a bit sad about it since we had gotten too greedy and played it all. Then I woke up as we left the machine.

Reconnect with myself˚◞♡ ⃗ *ೃ༄

Hiiii, here is a list of some things I do in order to reconnect with myself!
When I feel down, overwhelmed, mindless, or just not like my usual self, these activities are my saviours.
• Physical activity!!! - You know I had to put this one first, girl. Strength training, stretching, swimming, running, walking, dancing, playing sports, etc. Physical activity makes me feel amazing and gives me a total confidence boost, I’m just in my element.
• Meditation - Deep breathing, relaxing music, clear mind, I love it! I feel a deep sense of connection with myself and the universe when meditating. It’s also just a great reset if you’re in a negative mood, I feel totally cleansed afterwards.
• Pampering!!! - face massage, gua sha, long hot bath/shower, full body massage, cute treat/drink, ice roller, positive affirmations, comfy clothes, favourite movie, and so on.
• Get creative - Getting creative is a good way to express and connect with yourself. Doing something artsy always reminds me of when I was a kid, and writing is a great outlet for my creativity.
Drawing, writing, sculpting, painting, colouring, knitting, crocheting, etc.
• Journaling - I love journaling so much. It’s a good way to check-in with yourself, learn about yourself, and release your emotions. I feel a lot more in tune with myself afterwards.
I’ll write about : Things I am grateful for, my dreams and desires, goals I’m working towards, my favourite things about myself, my feelings, etc.
• Expressing myself - Often, the reason for me feeling disconnected with myself is because I’ve hidden or ignored my true feelings/thoughts/self. I mean obviously masking yourself makes you feel disconnected with yourself…
My strategy is to openly express myself confidently. I share my feelings and opinions, and I don’t try to hide who I am. I don’t care what people think of me, I will never be ashamed or embarrassed of my authentic self.
