and during your time, you met Cell 13 and became pretty good friends with them

you were especially close with Nico

one day you guys were super bored, and you just wanted to get out of here

but you knew if you escaped by yourself, then you'd just be more bored with only yourself to deal with

thus you decided to take Nico with you, bc why not

and you did exactly that, just out of the blue asking Jyugo to unlock their cell, and grabbing Nico by the arm to get out of there

Cell 13 is too stunned to speak

once they realize what's happening they sigh like damn could've taken us with you

meanwhile you and Nico are having the time of your lives

low-key an adrenaline boost as you run throughout the prison

(your choice if you want to get caught or not)

if you manage to escape then congrats! what a miracle (though I wouldn't doubt Hajime's bonking skills)

however Nico preferably would like to take the rest of Cell 13 to go out so you may have to go back anyway (but imagine as you like)

if you get caught then oops- but hey you can always do this the next day... and the next...

Hii I love you're work and I'm glad that nanbaka is still popular, I haven't been able to find much about kojiro but I love how you right him, I think it would be cute to see how he would react to a s/o with anxiety, sorry if I'm bothering you or this is weird

okay, so for a while i didn't answer asks because of school. I was essentially just burnt out yk. Uhm, I love Kojiro, and I love this ask because idk writing things I have experience with makes it feel more personal and real. I like headcanon formatting, so I hope you don't mind!

So, Kojiro is pretty outgoing, he's the extrovert between the two of you but not so much of a social butterfly that he doesn't acknowledge when you need space

He's pretty socially aware, and knows that even if you feel okay to do something with him and his friends (mainly just Ikkaku) it doesn't mean you still won't be nervous

Kojiro knows that anxiety is a constant thing

Sometimes he asks Isou to check on you (even though he never will) and other times he lets you come to him if something is really bothering you

"I don't think I want to go to the beach with you and Ikkaku..."

"That's okay!"

"Really?"

"Yeah! I don't want to force you to go and not have a good time."

"But-"

"No buts, I know sometimes you don't like hanging out with Ikkaku because he can be... abrasive. Sometimes I don't like hanging out with him either but it's what I have to do."

"When you get back do you... maybe wanna watch a movie?"

"Of course!"

With any relationship communication is important, so he always wants to communicate what he's feeling or doing regardless if it seems too much. And if it is too much he'll tone it down.

Your thoughts can get the best of you when you don't hear from him for a little while, the bad voice in the back of your head chimes in all these nasty things about how he must love Ikkaku more than you because he's so cool and you're just lame.

You feel bad because Kojiro's heart breaks when he hears some of these thoughts. It's not that you don't want him to worry, but you think he has better things to worry about.

When your anxiety gets really bad you start shaking uncontrollably. It's something you can't control. Kojiro stumbled upon this realization when he had left to get some popcorn for a movie night and you had looked at your phone.

Someone sent you a text asking if they could talk and your mind just sort of... shut off. It was hard to explain to him.

You wanted to cry and scream because you just couldn't help but feel that they wanted to tell you something bad or hurt you in some way, shape, or form.

Kojiro had to take your phone the rest of the night and told that person you would look at it tomorrows.

He dotes on you because he knows what its like to have his troubles and his worries laughed at, or mistreated because of the way he thinks. He doesn't want to do that to you.

If you ever feel like you're being left out then Kojiro will remind you (with love and care) that you are not being left out and that is just your dumb evil thoughts. (feeling the bad thoughts is not dumb)

He loves you and wants the best for you.

The second he wakes up and registers what he just dreamt about, he's blinking in shock and slowly getting a bit red in the face

He slowly sits up after a few minutes of silence pass and he pinches his nosebridge, eyes closing as he huffs and murmurs under his breath in embarrassment

"Fuckin' hell.."

Key moments from his dream replay back in his head, like you and him getting married, settling down in a small house, and your firstborn coming into the world

He's never had a dream quite like that, let alone one so vivid

It takes him close to a half hour before he's able to stop thinking about it (Mostly, at least), get out of bed and get ready for work, just barely not being late to clock in

The dream of you and him living together, happily married with two small children felt so real

When he wakes up, he is first confused at the sudden change of atmosphere, then when he registers that it was just a dream, he's quickly getting bright red

He can't believe he just had a dream like that!

His hands find their way to his face and he lets out a drawn out groan, rubbing his fingers against his temples

"Geez.."

He whispers, trying desperately to cool the heat in his cheeks enough to get himself out of bed and ready for work

🐕 Kenshirou 🐕

Out of the rest of the supervisors, Kenshirou is the most red-faced when he wakes up from the dream of you two living your best lives together

"Oh my god."

Is the first thing he mutters when reality sets in, sitting up and gripping the blankets on his lap in a death grip as he stares off into space, wide eyed

He can't help but think about the key points of the dream, like your wedding, your first child, and your second a few years after

Hands fly to his face, embarrassed steam practically billowing off of him

He ends up thinking about it for so long that he's late for work, and has to blame his late arrival on traffic

🦚 Kiji 🦚

When he wakes up, he takes a second to blink and just register what he had just dreamt of

A glamorous, over-the-top wedding, a fancy three story house, and three children coming over the years afterward..

He soon gets the biggest, stupidest grin of his life along with faintly red cheeks and puts a hand to his face, chuckling to himself

"Goodness me.."

While he felt a smidge of embarrassment, he couldn't lie that the dream was rather wonderful.

Now he wonders when and how exactly he could make this dream a reality.. the sooner the better, at that!

Hello everyone!!

I'm aware that the Nanbaka fandom, while active, is pretty quiet and a little slow.

I like consuming fanfiction about the fandoms I'm into, mostly x reader fics but regular ones too! Not many of the fics that are posted here are entirely what I'm looking for, so I figured I could make them myself!

This isn't my first time writing fanfiction, but I'm certainly not the best so please keep that in mind!!

Queue Building Event

Just in case nobody has told you today, my beautiful readers - you look gorgeous, today. You are doing amazing and I'm proud of each and every one of you for what you've gotten done today, no matter how small it may seem to you!

Now, onto business! To kind of mark me returning to writing on here and to help me build a queue, I'll be rehosting an event that had been very successful the last time I did it and that I'm hoping will be as successful this time! Like most of my events, this will be a large, multi-day thing! I have no limits on the amount of questions you can send in, the amount of characters you can ask for, etc. Unless I'm particularly inspired by an ask or it's super quick to answer, I'll be queuing up the replies! If the ask falls into one of those two though, I'll likely answer it straight away whenever I get a spare moment in my busy days!

The event will go as follows: It opens tonight. For all of tonight, until the post tomorrow night announcing the new event day, I'll be accepting requests for the first day of the event and so on and so forth! The event days will be as follows:

DAY ONE, october 23: This day is all about music! I’ll be accepting all music mix requests! This is the only time I’ll do anything for shipping - send in a ship and I’ll create a playlist around that ship. Send in a character and I’ll do the same! - well the good thing is, if you wanted to be an inmate!reader you won’t have any problems seeing him since it’s the male prison

- Nico loves including you in everything

- emphasis on watching anime with him, playing at his arcade, you name it!

- he hopes you have an interest in them too, or at least don’t mind his rambling

- though he is mostly used to it at this point, he likes having you stay with him during his medical exams

- hopefully Dr. Otogi lets you stay

- if he doesn’t, you bet Nico will have the cutest pout on his face

- id say nico likes holding your hand/arm the most

- not only as a romantic gesture, but when he does things like excitedly point out something in the anime hes watching (for example), he likes to get your attention by holding onto you

- theres not much of a dating environment in a prison so Nico mostly brings you to his arcade

- of course you guys play games, but he begged Seitarou to make a plushie in the claw machine of you so you both could have plushes of yourselves 💜

- other than that, he just cherishes the moments he has with you

- if you are visitor!reader, you bet he gets super happy when you visit (visit him often pls)

Date? Not Date?

Need Hajime Sugoroku content, so I made Hajime Sugoroku content.

Hitoshi thinks his brother is going on a date when his friend asks to talk to him, so he set them up on a date. He may have misunderstood what she meant but it was a win win.

Hajime was dressed in his best suit. He cleaned up nicely when he really wanted to. His younger brother, Hitoshi Sugoroku, suggested that he go one at least one date during spring break. He complied, but not before making his brother promise him that this would be the only one. He'd seen Hitoshi's friend. They all went to the same college, drank the same drinks, paid an ungodly amount for those drinks. He figured them idiots.

Standing outside the fancy restaurant he didn't know why he was so nervous. Adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves he waited as couples and families went inside. His date was supposed to meet him, of course, Hitoshi didn't tell him what his date looked like. His only solution was to stand outside in the cold and wait for them.

Her hair cascaded down in ringlets, the pink contrasting her eyes and the black dress she wore. Hajime wasn't one for that cheap rom-com reaction but he really did feel as if the air was pushed out of his lungs. He was breathless. He remembered her as one of Hitoshi's closer friends, often coming to their house to do projects with his sibling.

"Hello." With the heels she was slightly taller than him, waving with a bright smile Hajime cleared his throat.

"Good evening..."

"Kazue, and I'm only guessing here, Hajime?" She chuckled, raising a brow.

"That'll be correct."

"Well, shall we?" She gestured to the restaurant standing behind them.

"Of course." He gagged in his head. He didn't like to act overtly formal but this felt very out of place, like he was inside a romcom.

His mother taught him well. Always hold a door open for a lady, it was drilled into his head. Kazue only chuckled and walked up to the hostess. Hajime was confused by this, Hitoshi had made the reservation so it would be under Sugoroku.

"Tanaka, table for two." She spoke to the woman standing behind the podium.

"One moment." The woman looked down at something, taking a pen to mark it off. "Please, follow me."

She led Hajime and Kazue to a table by the ballroom. Now, this place was very classy. The good thing was both of them were dressed for something as classy as this. Hajime pulled out Kazue's seat then pushed it back in, unbuttoning his suit jacket as he sat down. Moving hair from her face she offered him a curt smile.

"Before you say anything, I didn't think Hitoshi was going to set us up on a date. All I really wanted was to meet with you and talk to you without being ignore."

Hajime stared at her blankly.

"What?" He asked.

"I'm sorry if you think this is a date but I just didn't want to start off on the wrong foot with you. Always ignoring me when I try to talk to you or when other people try to talk to you."

"This isn't a date? Hitoshi said it was a date." Hajime sat up straighter, furrowing his brows.

"I just wanted him to set up a time and place we could just talk. I didn't want to keep thinking you were an asshole who had no time for anyone else but yourself."

"You think I'm an asshole?" He asked.

"Well, I did." Kazue opened the menu that laid in front of her.

"At least you aren't like his other friend who throw themselves at my feet." Hajime chuckled.

"Oh please, they only do because they think you're attractive and are on spring break. Looking for nothing more than a fling."

"Oh, but you're someone different."

"If you think I like you, you are sorely mistaken." Kazue peered at him over her menu.

He looked back at her. She had the most unique eyes, the kind you could pick out of a crowd. Turquoise with aqua irises. He could say something cheesy about how he could get lost in them but this wasn't romantic nor was it a date.

The lights dimmed just as he actually looked at his menu, he could still see the words but noticed people around them were getting up and moving to the ballroom floor. Looking across at Kazue she watched a couple behind them, an elderly couple. He could see the contemplation on her face plain as day. As the music started Hajime got it up.

"Even if this isn't a date, would you care for a dance?"

"Your mom really taught you well, huh?" Taking his hand she got up. "I hope she taught you to dance at least." Kazue chuckled, grinning.

"I wasn't taught how to dance, but I can try."

"You'll do great. Just keep up with me."

On this 'not date' they danced together. Hajime would admit this felt almost wrong, the way they were dancing so close to one another while a slow song played, but he would never admit he liked it. Despite Kazue saying this wasn't a date he wanted to think otherwise at least for a little bit. She smelled like cherry blossoms, it wasn't as heavy a scent as the elderly women wore but it wasn't too faint that it was barely noticeable. With a hand on her back he quickly noticed her dress was backless. At first he thought it was the lighting but her hair really was a very light pink, when she was at their house she always looked like a blonde to him.

"This still isn't a date." She muttered to him, barely audible over the music playing over the speakers.

When they sat down he pulled out her chair and pushed it in when she sat down. The food wasn't too expensive but Hajime couldn't think about that now. His mind wandered to the girl sitting across from him, this may not be a date but it really did seem like one.

Surprisingly they ate and laughed with one another. Hajime swore he hadn't felt like this even with his classmates at the academy. Kazue was wonderful company, and as much as he was hoping for this to be a date it was a pretty great not date. Even when she insisted on paying the bill because it was her treat, or when she broke her heel and it started raining while he walked her home. It was nice to feel nice for once.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with Hajime under his umbrella in the rain Kazue stared at her house. The lights were on which meant her father was probably home. Glancing at Hajime out of the corner of her eye she didn't move. Didn't take a step forward or turn to him.

"Tonight was... Really nice. I guess you're not a jerk after all." Kazue bit the inside of her cheek, staring at the stones of the walkway.

"Tonight was nice, I wouldn't mind doing it again."

"Again as not a date or again as a date?" She turned to him, there was this hope that sparkled in her eyes.

"So this was a date?" Hajime rose a brow.

"No." She answered quickly.

"Are you sure?"

"I considered it at the end! But... I don't know, maybe I'll consider it next time." She smiled again, giggling.

"Would you like me to walk you to your door?"

"No, here's far enough. My dad might catch you in one of his long winded stories about boats." Brushing hair behind her ear she bent down to put her heels back on. "Thanks again, for showing up."

"You thought I wasn't?"

"Well, duh. I didn't know you that well, and again I thought you were a jerk." She nudged his shoulder with hers.

"Do you still thinking I'm a jerk."

"You were just being nice as a courtesy." She joked. "There is one thing that could make me consider this a date, though." She bit her lip.

"Which is?" Hajime wasn't getting the subtle hints but that was okay.

Kazue leaned her face close to him, her eyes were like the ocean and the cherry scent had worn off. Hajime didn't lean away or stop her. He was actually a little curious if she would go through with it. Most people got even more scared when they saw him even closer. She didn't pull away like most people, but pressed a kiss to his cheek instead. Hajime adjusted his hold on the umbrella. This time he leaned toward her to kiss her.

"What's your verdict now?" His face was just inches from hers when he pulled away.

"Maybe it was a date, maybe it wasn't."

She stepped out from under the umbrella, the rain already beginning to dampen her hair and her dress. Couldn't help but laugh seeing how dumbfounded she left him. Heading up the walk way she turned to face him again.

"Don't be afraid to call me for the next one, I don't want Hitoshi to misunderstand again."

Hajime watched her disappear behind her front door. Then he finally started walking home in the rain, good thing he had an umbrella. When he did make it home though, his brother Hitoshi jumped on him in a hug, he was wearing lounge clothes.

"I... Hope you didn't stay up late just to see me." Hajime strained, his brother had a strong grip.

"Of course I did! I wanted to know how the date went!"

"It wasn't a date." Hajime still had the door open, shaking all the water off his umbrella before he closed it.

"It wasn't?" Hitoshi's eyes widened. "What did you do?!"

"Nothing, nothing. You just didn't hear your friend right." The older man laughed, taking off his shoes after shutting the door. Finally stepping inside.

"At least now, I can get out of these fancy clothes."

🦍 Hajime 🦍

Hajime never really entertained the idea of children. For one, the two of you were already busy as it was with work, and Hajime never really thought he'd be great dad material. But boy, does that change one fateful day..

It's a usual day at work and his usual business, making his rounds around the building to make sure everyone's staying in line, traps are working, etcetera.

As he makes his way through a hallway he picks up on the sound of a child crying nearby. Heading to the fork in the halls and turning right, he sees you there, on one knee and petting the child's back, your soft voice comforting them gently.

For a bit Hajime just stands there, watching. Then you pick up the child and hold them against your chest, turning to notice Hajime there and smiling with a greeting and an explanation.

Apparently the child, whom is the son of one of the guards, had snuck off from his mother earlier and gotten lost.

Hajime didn't think the image of you holding a young child would set off certain neurons in his brain which made him imagine that child being his own with you.

That image keeps him up at night for more days than he could tolerate and soon enough, he's asking you how you'd feel about being the mother of his kids.

🧘 Upa 🧘

Being a dedicated Qigong Master, Upa never once had the thought of being a dad cross his mind. He found the idea to be too unimportant or even just distracting compared to his goals in life.

That and honestly, he couldn't stand hearing kids cry and throw fits. It always annoyed him.

One day while out training in the courtyard, one of the guards has their kid with them, letting them play, and of course, Upa is irked by the tot's squeaky voice distracting his training.

The kid ends up tripping on a loose root and starts wailing. Upa groans, but you on the other hand, run over and help the child to their feet, gently dusting off the knees and shushing them.

Upa finds himself staring a bit longer than he'd have thought he would as you rub their sore elbows, thumb away their tears, gently squishing their cheek in an attempt to make them giggle..

He doesn't realize he's blushing a bit until Liang asks him if he's feeling alright cause he's looking flushed

Upa mentally curses you for managing to make the idea of children actually seem tolerable and something he could want one day when out of prison with you

🍑 Liang 🍑

For the majority of his life, Liang has never really been around kids or interacted with them. Though he's sure during his time in the mafia where he was sicked on people, he must've orphaned a child or two. And the idea broke him.

Cause while he may not have been around children that much, he can't lie; he's got a soft spot for them.

Every now and then kids of guards show up at Nanba with their mothers, but today happened to be take your kid to work day, so there were a few.

He, his cellmates and you were running along the exercise track, not paying much attention to anything else. That is until you spotted a child running off from his dad.

You stopped to help the guard catch the runaway kid, taking the boy's hand and leading them back to the very thankful guard.

Liang ended up stopping so he could look back at you as you knelt down and gently explained to the child why running from daddy is not good and scooted them into his arms.

Thoughts of how good you were with the child bloomed into wondering how you'd be with a child you had with him.. then wondering why the hell he thought of that and having a blush attack.

🐒 Samon 🐒

Since you and Samon started dating he's actually thought of having kids several times, and those thoughts only grew once married to you.

But he never really got the guts to actually ask you about it, monkey man was too worried he'd disturb you

You can imagine his surprise when he sees just how good you are with kids one day

He just so happened to stop by a guard room that you were staying at, and when he questioned why you had a young child sitting on your lap, you explained that the guard had to run elsewhere quick and you were tasked with watching the kid for him

As Samon took care of the business he had at the room, filling out some paperwork, he couldn't stop his eyes from glancing up at every little giggle and laugh that came out of the child as you played with them.

Realizing you seemed to like kids just as much as he liked the idea of having them with you, it sent off fireworks in his brain and completely derailed his focus on work.

He finally had the balls he previously lacked to ask you about children by the time you both got through your front door.
