ofc! xx 4 - popular bakugou x quiet reader (characters are aged up and in college btw) wc: 691

literally everyone is in love with bakugou or wants to be him its insane. like he has so many people asking about his quirk and trying to get to close to him, but he doesnt mind the attention. hes not cocky abt it, but he has a lot of pride. he's never alone, always walking the halls with people following him.

then theres you. a silent girl in most of his classes surprisingly. you mostly keep to yourself with 1-2 close friends. you were sat in front of him in all of his lectures with you and you had never bothered him. not once. ocasionally, he'd ask for a pencil or something and you'd give it to him. no biggie.

he honestly never really thought about you that much till a specific night. "you idiots." bakugou grumbled to himself as he got out of his friends car. he wasted a night of studying by partying with people he didnt even really like. except for his friend kiri, he was alright.

it was already 10:30. he wouldnt be able to stay awake, but he can't just go to sleep? nono, exams are very close, he needs to get as much information glued in his brain as possible. kiri had recommended having a study buddy. but who the hell would want to actually study with bakugou?? everyone would be distracted and frankly, he didnt have time for that.

and besides, he doesnt need anyone else. right? wrong.

because now as he walks up the stairs to the dormitories, he decides to find you. you were pretty normal for the most part, he thought. a bit of a nerd too, so he wasn't too worried about you having the wrong shit written down. he found your dorm and knocked softly, letting out a sigh.

meanwhile, you were munching on freshly made chocolate chip cookies while going over notes you had gotten from the lecture yesterday. you leaned back against your chair in a tiny tank top and shorts with your hair up in a claw clip. you had light music going on in the background, bopping your head slightly. though the bopping stopped as your head cocked to the side as soon as you heard the thuds of someone's steps coming towards your room.

you stood up when said person knocked on your door. maybe one of your friends came by, you thought. you grinned, excited you made so many cookies. you tip-toed to the door and swung it open.

with his hands dug into his pockets and a somewhat tired look on his face, the katsuki bakugou stood at your door in all his glory. "oh!" you squealed, your hand covering your mouth. "sorry, i-i just wasn't expecting you." you nervously spoke, feeling slightly embarassed.

"i need help. be my study buddy." bakugou spoke bluntly.

"huh? study buddy?" you muttered. bakugou stayed quiet and stepped into your room confidently, looking around. you stood to the side and shut the door behind you, following him inside where he walked over to your desk, looking at your neatly written notes. "yeah. you aint stupid or anythin' right?" he cocked a brow.

you shook your head softly. "no, i dont think so."

he nodded, eyes wandering down to what you were wearing. your eyes stared into his and realized what you had on. he bit the inside of his cheek. "what're you expectin' someone over?"

you shook your head, feeling awkward. "uh, no." you cleared your throat as bakugou sat in your chair, flipping through the pages you had spent such delicate time working on. "do you want a cookie?" you asked politely, pointing towards the plate on your desk, walking towards him. his head turned to where your finger was pointing.

he shrugged, taking one and biting into it. it was soft and chewy. and warm. his eyes brightened a little, just a little. "t's not bad. would be better with coffee." he stared at the bitten cookie in his hand, careful not to make a mess. you smiled at this. "coffee coming up!" you skipped to the kitchen.

that was the first time you had really spent time with him and you'd gotten to know him better than you thought you would have just by studying. needless to say, you enjoyed his company. you weren't around people too often, yet alone someone as popular and liked as bakugou.

as for him, he would never forget that day. it may sound stupid, but he thought you were something.. special. you didn't talk to him about his quirk, not once. you didn't ask if he had a girlfriend or if he was free next friday night. you were just you.

and you talked more than he anticipated also. guess you just had a lot kept inside till then. it seemed like that night, he had turned into the quiet one. and he didn't mind it at all. he grew closer with you and fell in love with you. yet, in class, you were still quiet. however, when it was just you two, you yapped for hours on end about anything.

he grinned at the thought.

kaveh is basically, as it is, perfect from the outside but a mess of a human being - always helping everyone without considering himself, so kind and charming and loveable but a little pathetic and idiotic. he tries to appear like everything is fine and perfect and his life is ok but hes a mess and haitham (bc hes so observant w him) looks right through it, desires him bc of the cracks

haitham never desired or felt anything romantic or sexual before (hes in his early 20s and lived very happily and safely w his grandma all isolated) so when it hits him so hard, certainly the akademiya doctor can help w his "chronic illness"

anw ofc kaveh also wants, loves him; they get closer and *gestures* yknow

i planned stuff in like haitham having a hand/glove kink (kaveh really has quite the beautiful hands and when they slide across his skin to check on him.......) or kaveh having a thing for haithams voice/filthy words (haitham doesnt rlly talk so when he opens his mouth during their checkups its over) so yea, big question is who fucks who bc while i love and usually prefer kavetham, theres also smth hot about an older, messy kaveh getting bent over his desk by a horny, needy haitham, fucking him messily and so so eagerly like an oversized cute dog-

vance then saw u at school and asked in the most calm way he could (which did not work out because it sounded like he was yelling at you.)

"WILL YOU GO SKATING WITH ME THIS SATURDAY?"

which then to that you said "im so sorry i would but i cant , i have a babysitting job this saturday."

vance then tried to walk away but before he could you started talking again.

"the boys parents aren't strict! you could come with me and we could all watch movies together! he would love you!

and to that he said yes

spoiler alert, griffin did not love vance. another spoiler alert, the feeling was mutual.

as you walked to the door to greet mrs stagg going to a meeting, she stopped and said hi to you and vance, you called her prior to explain that you had to study with him (which was kind of a lie but you heard him and his teacher talking about his grades so you thought, sure why not help him with his grades!

as you said goodbye too mr stagg, griffin walked downstairs running to hug you and as u both pulled away he say vance.

"who are you?" griffin said crossing his arms over his chest

"vance." vance said not liking the tone the 10 year old boy was taking with him.

"why are you in my house."

"because your babysitter is helping me with my grades"

"so what your saying is your an idiot?"

"WHAT?"

Crying over SSL Kaoru's Route

i can't stop crying over them, someone pls help me….

I finally can play Hakuouki SSL on my pc, and ofc the first route i finish is Chizuru's twin, the one and only Nagumo Kaoru.

I really craved for "Yukimura" twin sibling bonding moment or them having actual sibling relationship (not where one of them trying to kill the other one).

AND SSL IS WHERE OTOMATE HEAR MY PRAYER

Whatever issues SSL's have, i just want to see my Yukimura sibling being happy :( so heres some rambles about it since i'm so happy after finishing it right now T_________T

Some cute SSL Kaoru thingy

-> KAORU PREFER CATS THAN DOGS!!!!!!!!!! also his reaction when Chizuru choose the same animal as him (despite Chizuru was like "B-but i don't hate dogs…" its literally the "You like waffles so you hate pancakes" shits) is just so cute and on brand. He really acts and looks like cat tho, theres also part when Chizuru calls the cat "Kaoru~" and the cat "meow" at it. I'm literally on tears rn…..

-> Yes… he has his own "Dead Note" where he put peoples names on it… thats so nerdy wtf (love him more). He also part of disciplinary comittee so he put names on students who broke the rules (or studets who getting too close to Chizuru) and give them strikes after that, well maybe its really a dead(th) note in some way.

-> Kaoru and Okita…. no matter what timeline it is i guess they just can't get along huh. Okita without his coughing and Kaoru without sniper behind him, this scene looks like shitan Okita's route remake in some way lol. Happiest ending ver.

The only time Kaoru and Okita actually "get along" is when they confront Sannan who suddenly being a "creep" to Chizuru

Which…. well deserved actually. Sannan you really need to sounds like it when you actually "didn't mean anything" hh….

Borderline-siscon-overprotective-brother personality really suits him lol

I mean, i think if the original timeline Kaoru have a better past with the Nagumo's or him and Chizuru isn't seperated, i think he will be like this too. His "Kawaii imoutou" phrase whenever he referred to Chizuru wouldn't sounds creepy or full of loath, but more actually loving and caring.

I mean, i think the main reason he "Hates" Chizuru is actually because he loves her so much, he thought she also have the same life as himz and he dream to someday he will make her happy together with him again just like in the past. But the feelings become cloudy when he learned his beloved sister forget him (when he always think of her), having a way better life, loves by everyone, and also she rejects him at the end. He thinks sibling should feel e/o but Chizuru didn't feel him at all, doesn't even remember her past/family, and living "her best life'". Theres black feeling right there but still he can't stop loving her so the only solution for him is to just bring her suffered like him.

*cough* so SSL is here to bring the pain away from them.

This is one of the funniest Kaoru overprotective mode, he really act as if he is also not a "16 year old" kid. AND I'M WITH CHIZURU, WHO IS WHO?!?!?!?!JSDHSBHS The only obvious one is "Idiotic student council president"??? T_______T Loose cannons is Okita i guess????? Happy-go-lucky is Heisuke??????

Even though yes Kaoru is really siscon like here, its actually still in the sibling border. Like the way he loves Chizuru is not disgusting at all, he just so protective and genuinely want to "fulfill" his role as big brother to Chizuru, but didn't know how to handle his feelings well lol so he really ends up being a tsundere mess.

I mean look at this one example, at first Chizuru is hurt, Kaoru then laughing at her, but when he realize Chizuru is actually hurt, he become worried and piggybacked her?! AND THEN LOOK AT THE PHONE MESSAGE SCREENSHOT, HE LITERALLY MAIL THAT TO CHIZURU AFTER THE EVENT. Thats so sibling thing,,,

Different from Kaoru who become "tsundere" when he expressed his actual feelings, Chizuru is actually so much bolder. She talks back to Kaoru, take initiative firts, and just "meh" it a way when Kaoru say bad things to her. It's like the gap of how different someone can be with their sibling vs with other people.

Heres some example lmao, Chizuru holding Kaoru's hand first so casually and Kaoru said he hates it but didn't trying to get away at all. (he loves it ofc he is). Then the bottom picture, its Kaoru mailing shits to Chizuru when he actually watching Chizuru from the crowd, and well Chizuru responds to his mail is sure come from heart <3

I need to put this because its funny seeing Kaoru dumbfound face while Chizuru saying the same thing 3 times cause his stupid brother apparently can't grasp the fact that his sister give him chocolate on valentine day WHEN HE ACTUALLY FORBID EVERYONE TO BRING CHOCOLATE AND DOING INSPECTION OF IT SINCE HE DIDN'T WANT CHIZURU TO GIVE CHOCOLATE TO ANYONE. What a cute irony.

Oh, and of course if we have bickered moments we also have the sibling wholesome moments

Also, when Kaoru calm like this, their face really looks like a copypaste (maybe because iT IS a copypaste) somehow i giggle at this.

ugh if there’s one thing this world needs is more Cass and Eugene interaction, like I don’t just mean bickering and the sort. Like actually being there for one another when they’re upset and helping each other out.

I’ve literally found about 2 fanarts where it’s just them and they’re not getting at each other! I still think that they would bicker but it would actually be way less intense and spite-fuelled after the series and they’d find some common ground, especially since they are the only ones (beside Pascal ofc) who know what it’s like to have died and come back to life, I can’t imagine how relieved Eugene would be to get to talk to someone about it and have them actually understand.

I hc anyway that after Cass came back she was like super out of it, and Eugene knew exactly how she felt and could help her, I think Cass would also be relieved that someone else knew what it was like and could sympathise with her.

I think though one of my absolute favourite hcs I’ve seen for them is that after Cass comes back Eugene defo sorts out Cass’ haircare routine and looks after her hair for her, cause he more than likely has wavy/curly hair too (but just straightens it most of the time). And although Cass is like super reluctant to let him help at first, she eventually gives in and it’s like the best her hair has been in forever so she just lets him do it regularly from then on and it’s just their thing. Also it gives Cass a chance to open up as well (no eye contact, relaxed and something to distract her if it gets too bad) which she definitely needs especially straight after coming back to the castle post ziti.

But yeah I neeeed more of these idiots interacting cause they literally have my heart istg (and also the show did nothing for them really post s1)

ur so right about the hair thing also omfg cass is the WORST out of all of them when it comes to taking care of her hair. like whenever it gets too long she just grabs the first sharp object she can find and cuts it all off. her ends are so broken and frizzy its SO bad. but eugene and rapunzel force her to do little spa days with them all the time. cass is very practical and really doesnt understand the point but she just likes spending time with both of them.

honestly as much as i love them i havent drawn a lot of art of cass and eugene individually….but theyre best friends actually. like they have banter and they tease each other but my general interpretation of them and uknighted dreams relationship is just. Comfortable. theyve come around to accept their differences and have a shared sense of solidarity with each other. and not just bc of rapunzel either!!! they hang out without her just as often and they genuinely have come to understand one another. they like to spar together and rapunzel watches while she works on anatomy sketches.

they’re not going out of their way to be physically affectionate or anything, but i try to make it obvious in my uknighted dream art that they arent averse to it either. it’s always the little things for me man!!!! the subtle affectionate gazes or the casual hand on the shoulder or just a gentle hand hold its so. IMPORTANT ok!!!!!!

they understand each other on a deep psychological level and yet they regularly tell the other to kill themselves. they are literally everything to me. i need to draw them soon

Well, needless to say, I can't say I'm a fan of Jo at this point. It's a bit frustrating, because it's very clear (to me anyways) that her characterization is the result of some annoying tropes. I can get behind the idea of her wanting to be like her father, and maybe being a bit reckless, but the treatment of her is just... idk. Really frustrating.

I probably would have been a lot more sympathetic if it weren't for that weird turn around at the end. I understand Helen seeing John in the brothers and having issues with that, but Jo? After surviving all that with them? I can understand feeling conflicted, but the way it was presented... hrgh. Irritating all around.

At least this episode had concrete truck. Keeping in theme with the TMA references, Adelard Deckard would be proud.

How do you choose which POV to write from? i’m a multi-pov girl and like. every time a story starts with only one pov i promise myself it’s gonna stay that way and every time within a few days of planning i’ve added like 2 more people. so like. cyrelius went from cyrus pov to cyrus and aurelius pov to cyrus, aurelius and rita pov. idk how i decide tho………generally the story idea just comes like that

Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc? yes. very very many. but especially themes – they’re all (with the exception of anya’s diner and the herodotus one) about revolution. like, always. everything is about revolution. it’s ridiculous (and i love it). also they’re always about love ofc <3

(style, pov, genre, tropes, etc) hmmm i’m not sure actually. nothing super dark i think. the darkest i go is cyrelius and even that is still about hope. like even if a story starts really dark and depressing it slowly gets more and more hopeful. also my writing style often has a quite light-hearted tone so

Best writing advice for other writers? if you’re struggling with plot, give yourself a visual representation of it. as in write out the main things you need to happen, put them in order, and figure out how to get from one to the other. it’s good if you have separate little boxes for plot points that you can move around. it also helps to be aware of where everything is happening. anyways this method literally saved my life it’s the reason i managed to get the full, detailed plot of sst from scratch. use milanote.com. you’ll thank me later :D

actually im not super into shipping i think? i definitely value being able to imagine a dynamic for even the nichest pairings and have a lot of fun stretching or emphasizing certain parts of each characters' personalities to get them to work the best while opening up the potential for some development on each characters' side (thats exactly why im doing the ship bingo! its a ton of fun!), but theres very few things i actually like. Ship beyond surface level thoughts tbh. and recently the things i actually do ship have gotten increasingly niche. so enjoy this ramble that mostly pertains to specifically me and only me LMAO /lh

people might be able to tell ive been getting very into dametaberge. oh my god im so insane. no one look at me. dmk+jambacult found family Real. i have like three comics in my drafts for them. its mostly dametaberge thoughts rn but i like to think susie joins them later to make a poly ship. dmk and susie are a little tense at first but susie is, "like so over her knight phase," as she says, which dmk is extremely conflicted about whether to be offended or relieved at. and then they learn how to relax around each other and are always the two in the relationship to have awful destructive ideas, which flamberge vetos or approves of on a case by case basis. they get very happy and excited when flamberge approves of their awful plans

and of course my beloved gsa ships.............. theres falsgato which i am incredibly insane about thanks to my friend dragging me into it and now its a thing in my animeverse. enemies to friends to lovers I KEEP SAYING IM SO WEAK FOR THAT. dragato was a huge asshole to falspar for Various reasons regarding the nature of the gsa and perhaps dragatos own personal insecurity, but once they lost the war they got to bond since dragato like, realized how little the shit he antagonized falspar for actually mattered in the first place. and falspars a guy who really sees the best in people and ahahahghdjk its a whole thing its a whole thing i wont go into it rn LOL

theres also metarthur which is my very very beloved longtime rarepair. which i um. uh. ahahahah............. i get very slightly nervous talking about on main because a lot of people hc arthur as meta knights dad or parental figure but i shouldnt be nervous about hc differences really....... anyways theyre supposed to be like parallels of each other. people who are opposites thematically (arthur being leader of the gsa; mk being a former deeply infamous demon beast) who find themselves in similar positions in that they both kinda struggle with their sense of purpose vs their sense of self. meta knight sees his past struggles in arthur and so he finds himself drawn to him. he cant really Solve his situation, but (during their war-time relationship specifically) he hopes to offer some solace to him which functions as a form of catharsis to mk himself too. the two get to connect and understand each other in a unique way. i wont get too into this one right now either lol since the dynamic changes a lot depending on if its their during-war relationship or post-war relationship but theres the basics. i have a comic expanding on their general relationship in my drafts too but its at the bottom of my to-do list tbh. maybe someday though

im only into this one casually nowadays but morphogala... you really cant go wrong with "knight of death saves the greatest warrior in the galaxy from their torturous fate". something something the themes of wishing for the release of death being subverted into yes, death itself releasing you but in a way that actually Saves and rescues you instead. the hope and love in spite of all of the hopelessness AHHHHGH the themes of this one make me so weak. theres so much potential...... i really love this one on an aesthetic level too

you know i take my comment on "not super into shipping" back i think my multishipper ass has disillusioned myself into thinking being insane about like 4-5 ships isnt enough or isnt the norm. maybe i am insane about shipping......... oops

ships that make my thumbs up list in that i like them in concept but dont ship myself would be: marxolor; any of wave 3 x each other tbh. i have them as just besties in my hcs but paired up in any way is very fun; i kinda like shadow metadede but im really particular about the dynamic of that one; fransoos gets a very big thumbs up from me for themes and concept+enemies/rivals to lovers; metagala is. i dont super get it myself but the aesthetics alone are absolutely on-point enough to put this one in the thumbs up category. yayyyyyyy. im sure theres more that im missing but i think that covers any that arent too niche

Here are my previsions for twp, hcs aside:

- Kit is gonna crash and burn at some point, because he has not allowed himself to properly process shit and it SHOWS

- The gf thing is gonna be a red herring and shes either not gonna show up in twp (already an ex) or its gonna be very brief

- Livy is either gonna fully pass on or be fully brought back, and either way I think Kits gonna be involved

- Tys not gonna be allowed by CC to be (rightfully) mad at Kit the way Kit is mad at him, or at least not as clearly

- There is either gonna be no Ty POV or very little Ty POV

- If there is Ty POV CC is gonna fuck it up

- At some point Kit is gonna do something truly reckless and idiotic to save someone he cares about

- We're gonna learn more about his powers and theres gonna be drama about it bc ofc

- Kit and Ty are gonna be Fucked Up at the beginning but they are eventually gonna kiss on the mouth

- There might be a cave sex scene and Magnus might walk in on them. I am not sure how to feel about it but it needs to be acknowledged.

- The reckless thing Kit is gonna do might be what fully opens up the holes in the universe that Ty started w the ritual, so theyre both gonna be responsible for it and its gonna fulfill the First Heir prophecy

- Kit is still gonna be smitten as hell and also Herondale-angsty as hell

- We're gonna get very devoted Ty, even if not in typical ways. Think tda Ty but more protective and now knowing his own feelings about Kit.

- Livy is gonna be the true MVP as always

- Thule is gonna have a role in it, especially Thule Kit, whos gonna have a whole thing about Ty because of course.

- At the very end theyre either gonna be fully sealing the world against demons, like that one alternate dimension, or revealing the shadow world to mundanes. Either way their world is gonna be changed forever.

i just had this pop into my mind and had to share with someone, please bear with me♡♡

what if one day ian decides to go to a therapist, its his first visit probably a couple weeks maybe months after the wedding and he comes back home and tells mickey about it

he gets into the kitchen, kisses mickey and starts talking after a single "how was it" from his husband, thats all he needs cus hes been thinking the whole session over all the new information settling in his brain, things he already knew and a lot of things he needs to look into. as is always the case with ian, when hes excited/emotional about a topic, he gets really into it, and though this topic is a bit bittersweet to him, it's also really interesting. the different approaches the therapist told him about, the sheer variety of therapy types he needs to do some research on should be overwhelming, and it is a little bit but its also fascinating to him, and so he tell mickey all about it. starting with the therapist and how the meeting went and going into the technicalities of therapy types and so on. It's a lot of information, but ian knows mickey will hear him out even if he talks for a long time.

except mickey isnt exactly listening, not because he doesnt care (he cares a lot and will ask ian questions about everything later) but cus his mind is wandering around admiring how hot ian looks all passionate and sexy. its always been so attractive to mickey when ian talks about things hes interested in, especially if he knows a lot on whatever topic hes talking about. mickey is not a weak man, but when ian gets like that, he's a lovestruck idiot that still can't believe he gets to spend the rest of his life with the redhead.

and so mickey only gets back to earth by the end of ians story

'(...) yea, so she said i should try looking into cbt, ya know?'

mickey freezes for a second, he might not know a lot about the whole therapy thing but cbt is definitely a term hes accustomed with

"... you mean like the torture?" he asks eyebrows high on his forehead.

"no, like the thera- wait, what do you mean torture?!" ians now looking at him like he grew a second head.

"well, you said cbt, right?" ian nods warily, not certain where his husband is going with the sentence "...cbt stands for cock and ball torture, no?" as mickey finishes his sentence he can see his husbands eyes grow wider. fuck, he shouldve been listening instead of daydreaming this is definitely not what ian was talking about.

"mickey, honey, you think my therapist would recommend cock and ball torture as a form of therapy?" the redhead looks at him incredulously but theres no condescension or pity in his voice like there could be if someone else was explaining something to mickey and he didnt get it. it was teasing, not in a mean way just the usual teasing they were both so familiar with, the way that came with smirks and goading each other on and ended in very hot sex (especially if it was mickey being bratty).

"i mean i dont know, maybe itd help or somethin'" he was smirking now too, his husband approaching him slowly and pinning him to the counter.

"you werent listening at all, huh? what got you so distracted that you couldnt even listen to your husband?" they were face to face, ians hands steady on his hips.
