It took me a long time to be confident in something finally and the only thing I’m confident in myself about is the vegetarianism~~~~

Currently anyway ~~

That and my reasons why and firm stance are one thing I can say that I’m confident and proud of myself of~~~

That and maybe my independence despite being visually impaired; but that’s easily hampered as I seriously don’t like asking for help to a stubborn detrimental degree.

And associate help with shame for some reason.

But ye I’m so independent that my sibling forgets that I’m visually impaired, lol.

And I’m good at one touhou game~~~~ that’s a source of pride ~~~

I’ve mentioned it before but I’ll mention it once again cause I’m proud of it.

I can 1cc the pc-98 Touhou Project — Phantasmagoria of Dimensional Dream. The most cheaty one~~ tho only on normal mode ~~~~

I beat flower view too but I count that as cheating cause I used a computer which slowed down and lagged near the end of the game so I don’t count that cause via technicality I believe I cheated ~~~

#fascinating stuff. let’s see if i (person with the worst executive dysfunction when it comes to doing laundry) remember it #i literally have this issue where i’ll let dirty clothes pile up in the laundry basket for an entire month #like it takes me that long to get around to it #and then- who would’ve thought- i find that i don’t have anything good to wear. strange!#finally did it last night and i’m like ohhh that was so difficult but the payoff finally #augh #peach rambles #hall of fame i guess #shut up about socks. idc.#this was a fun positivity post of sorts it’s about overcoming executive dysfunction #derailing into jokes about losing socks is. it’s not horrible but just boring and annoying #it was supposed to be celebration!! and encouragement!!!

I just got a new job and I’m relieved by how much I like it so far.

#positive post :D #positive personal post #I quit my last job after a big ole situation with the new manager #namely within her first week I couldn’t handle her attitude and lack of doing work #so I wrote a very long detailed message to her on all the ways she’s messed up and needs to improve #then I got suspended for a week (understandable no shade to hr for that one; only shade to the manager for being too cowardly to face me!)#then I considered coming back but the owner somehow thought a solution to this problem was ask if I wanted to work at a different location #because ‘obviously you need the money’#D:<#MAAM #I got my second to last check and quit that same day #the final day of my suspension #but within that time I’d applied to and interviewed at 2 places already #and by the time I grabbed my actual last check I’d gotten the job AND one with a pay increase #(and also better benefits and healthier work culture)#I’ve also only worked a total of 4 legit shifts plus the orientation shift #and it’s honestly telling that that’s all it took for me to fall in love #they’ve also been shortened training shifts to get me settled #and divided between 2 actual jobs: line cook and to-go #which we’ve all agreed I can do both as long as I’m comfortable #and I am!#everyone is so nice!#anyway #long story short #I’m really happy that my new job seems to be working out :)#and on top of that my boyfriend is also getting a newer better job #that way we both can have left the same toxic workplace #so yaaaaaaay

Listen, you should never film strangers in public without their consent, but I swear there need to be fines or something for people who do that shit in some spaces. For example: I had to go to the ER last night, and some jerk filmed a woman who just came in and was clearly having an asthma attack. She immediately got to go back, and he was unhappy about that. Believe me, I get that it sucks having to wait when you're in pain, but you don't get to pick who deserves care when. The medical system in the US is a nightmare, and the ER could be the worst moment of someone's life. No one deserves to be recorded because some jack ass believes someone doesn't look like they need care.

This is fine to reblog. People who film strangers should be shamed if nothing else.

anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...

#not a shitpost #serious post #ask to tag #tw trauma #cptsd #c-ptsd #and if so we should TALK about it #because it means there are a whole group of survivors out there whose mental health regularly worsens during holidays #like i know i am most certainly not the only person who feels an undefined Dread hanging over christmas/my birthday/july 4 etc #bc too many shitty things happened during those times and now my brain is hypervigilant bc traditionally these are the Danger Times #and this seems like it would be particularly common for survivors of abusive/dysfunctional households (aka most people with c-ptsd)#because holidays/vacations typically mean 1) the whole family is together/being forced to interact #2) and undergoing external stressors e.g. travel/relatives aka 'outsiders' visiting/routines & coping mechanisms being interrupted etc #3) there is social pressure for this to be a Fun Family Bonding Experience which only highlights the cracks in the foundation #and exposes the common Everything Is Fine/We Are A Happy Family lie #4) the cognitive dissonance of feeling tired/anxious/stressed/afraid during a time when you are 'supposed' to be Making Good Memories #and then everyone is angry/tired/anxious/triggered and things boil over and something or someone goes Very Wrong #weird that i'm posting this in october when halloween is...sort of the ONLY holiday i have only good and happy feelings towards #i got lucky there #also i have positive feelings towards Labor Day but that's for socialist reasons

Thinking about how Diavolo’s feelings transcend time and how in the Nightbringer UR+ card Demon Lord’s Castle Tour this conversation happens.

When asked, “Do you wish to see your father?”

Diavolo responds:

“I suppose I do . . .” isn’t the typical reaction to how a child would feel about wanting to see their parent. Especially when said parent has essentially been in a coma for a year.

Along with how Diavolo describe his father.

It makes more sense why when you learn in Lesson 56 how Diavolo was treated by him growing up.

Diavolo can tell when others are lying but is unable to understand his father’s intentions.

Diavolo mentions that he lived a very sheltered life growing up. That from a young age his father never allowed him a chance to talk to anyone outside the castle.

His childhood friend was Mephistopheles. A demon literally RAISED to be his friend. Putting a barrier between the two because Mephistopheles would put Diavolo on a pedestal.

The isolating childhood he experienced riddled with his strict father constantly scolding him.

Despite everything MC is so important to him he wants to see his father again so we can meet.

#Demons and Humans can’t get married even in the present so it adds an extra layer him wanting to introduce us.#There’s a lot more you could add onto this (please do I’d love to hear other’s thoughts).#Like how Diavolo’s childhood affected him just look at the way he describes himself:#“The truth is I am a child in a way. A child who spends his time alone and never gets to do anything interesting.”#A lot of Diavolo’s poor behavior while not excused comes from his childhood.#How Diavolo admits to using his position to force others to do what he wants. I really wish that "asexuals don't have to want sex but lot of them will still have it with their partner!" wasn't centered in like every asexuality acceptance post. I think it's genuinely damaging to asexuals and their relationships. A lot of us don't want sex. A lot of us are sex repulsed. A lot of us don't even wanna talk or hear about sex. A lot of us don't enjoy porn or wanna "hand out drinks at the orgy". Some of us have sexual-related trauma. Some of us are sex repulsed, not 💖✨sex repulsed but actually really cool about it✨💖

Allos are out here getting into relationships with aces and then pull a pikachu-surprise-face when their partner doesn't wanna have sex with them bc everyone constantly emphasises says how we totally will do it for them. Some of us won't. That's okay. That doesn't constantly need to be followed up with "but a lot of aces will so don't worry!!!!!" We don't have to make every post about us in a way that makes allos comfortable. It's not necessary to reassure allos at every turn that we're not all that asexual and they don't have to worry about us being different in a way they might notice. Allos need to accept and internalise that some people aren't gonna want to have sex. No terms and conditions. No "unless" "but" or "except". Just none.

hey btw u arent a mental health advocate if you use the term narcissist to describe people who were mean to you.

can narcs be abusers? yes.

can their symptoms be a driving force in their abusive behaviors? yes.

however it is absolutely unnacceptable and stigmatizing to further push the association that a TRAUMA disorder is inherently abusive.

i have worked so hard, and i am working so hard, to cope with my npd. i have improved a lot, and healed a lot, and still have a long way to go.

it hurts more than anything to hear my own friends call bad people narcissists solely because they're bad people.
