Scientists at Carnegie Mellon University have unveiled a breakthrough artificial intelligence system called Coscientist that can independently design and execute complex chemistry experiments at the touch of a button. The system aims to accelerate discoveries across scientific domains by leveraging the raw reasoning power of models like GPT-4.
Coscientist combines natural language processing prowess with tools enabling web search, documentation query, code execution, and links to automation instrumentation. After users provide a simple text prompt like “perform Suzuki coupling reactions optimizing for yield,” the AI assistant begins planning the multi-step procedures required.
The system architecture ties together modules accessing external knowledge to empower the core algorithm. This central component operates much like ChatGPT, iterating on solutions through natural conversation. Coscientist’s innate language skills allow to assimilate both textual and experimental results to tackle complex research problems.

nothing’s wrong- i’m just a STEM student…
Tumblr media
[i rarely see stem rep- so here’s the extended edition of ‘stoners in stem’ that highlights the parts of this life that i find myself loving ;p]
- swerving around countertops and oblivious peers- doing your best to keep the various beakers balanced on top of the books you’re holding
- all eyes being drawn to you when something arises that stumps the rest of your friends
- falling into the habit of a heavy step- never wanting to sneak up on someone in the lab (still getting ‘oh! you startled me!’ comments, nonetheless)
- avoiding small-talk like the plague
- the constant gathering of three or more students (and the occasional staff) out behind the building- trading cigarettes and spectating on arguments that couldn’t wait five minutes for someone to finish their smoke
- ‘do you have a lighter?’ ‘no...? just- light yours on mine.’
- unfortunate clashes between the scientific mind and the scientific heart
- calculated actions, then second-guessing your results; maybe just one more test...
- the static in the air as everyone watches an experiment expectantly, pencils and graph paper ready for if it succeeds- a fire extinguisher and open doors for if it fails miserably
- dark and smudged eye makeup to compliment the ever-omnipresent dark circles you wear like a badge of honor
- harboring a distaste for bottles and containers made with material that has no translucence whatsoever (how are we supposed to see how much is in there if holding it to the light does nothing?)
- panicked glances at your peers when you hear the jingle of keys coming down the hall (you should get rid of the evidence)
- narrowed eyes at the calculations in front of you, feeling like the visual representation of ‘?!?!’
- ‘what were you trying to accomplish?’ ‘i don’t know- not this!’
- watching in disgust and amusement as someone lights a joint with a bunsen burner and gestures for you to follow- making a dash towards the staircase that leads to the back exit; you and a few others aren’t far behind
- the type of laugh that echos through the building- loud and sudden as it’s ripped from your chest
- bouts of blank stares as you work through something in your mind- only coming-to when the person in front of you shifts uncomfortably under your empty gaze
- the heavy silence that rests in the darkness when you know you aren’t falling asleep anytime soon
- the first part of your notebook being neat and color-coded
- the rest being vaguely sectioned and underlined instead of highlighted (all your highlighters and pens have been lost or lended out- you had to borrow this one)
- playlists that range from loud and angry, to gentle and repetitive- both help you focus
- ‘did you see that?’  ‘no, i... blinked...? on accident.’  ‘... fine- let’s start over.’
- screeching when a concoction begins to overflow- everyone gathering like a flock of birds to lend a hand or screeches of their own
- going out for a smoke one day and noticing a stolen handheld torch on the fire extinguisher- ‘communal lighter’ is scrawled on a piece of graph paper taped to the brick above it. thank god for the engineers
- wishing you had payed attention in second grade when learning your times tables
- slippery cobblestone that shocks you awake when you lose your footing in the mornings
- constantly looking around- startling your friends when you stop mid-sentence to glance alarmingly over your shoulder (‘what...?’  ‘...’   ‘seriously- what?!’   ‘mmm... it’s nothing- never mind,’)
- staring blankly at people as they tell you their deepest darkest secrets (a reoccurring phenomena)
- the cold in the morning, the heat in the afternoon, and the chill returning in the evening- all telling you that fall has arrived; sweaters beginning to show up under lab coats
- someone sprinting intensively across campus- papers flying from their grasp and out of the stacks of books, binders, and folders clutched in their arms; another person following close behind- picking everything up and quickly chasing after them
- the inked mustaches and tattoos drawn onto the plastic model skeleton that’s older than you are
- the burning feeling in your chest when someone mentions a theory or standpoint that you despise; sending them a glare and a shake of your head- but not having the energy to debate them on it (if they want to be wrong, that’s their problem)
- tapping your fingers on things to count instead of outright holding your hand in front of you
- being described as ‘intimidating’ despite often feeling uneasy around people yourself (they think that you know something they don’t) (and they’re right)
- vocal changes in tone being the height of comedy- there aren’t many other ways to safely express humor when dealing with dangerous substances
- ‘check this out-’ -sets off fire alarm-
- the suffocating pause after hearing ‘did someone leave the gas on?’
- the mixed reactions when a spider appears- everyone moves to crowd around it or to the other side of the room; one person is grabbing a torch while others scream at them to leave the poor thing alone- eventually someone just scoops it up and leaves the room. they’re gone for the rest of class
- the feeling of utter despair as you realize that the page you need has been ripped out of your textbook
- developing the immediate response of dropping to the floor when something explodes near you
- the unanimous hope that at least one person near you understands the topic just a little more than you do
- growing to find comfort in the constant aura of secrecy that surrounds everything around you (but hoping you never get used to the rush of being let in on those secrets)
- the buzz of the first few minutes of class- when everyone is stashing away their jewelry and comparing notes from the previous session; someone is laughing out in the hall, and the countertops feel like snowmelt under your arms
[i could go on and on... but i’m not gonna <3]

love the trope where Peter and Tony are both into science but Peter is NOT into the same kind of science as Tony. Peter being a chemist, a biologist, being really into geology. Tony branching out of robotics and engineering because peter, frankly, could not care less abt those and tony wants to be supportive

Writing Scientist Characters
this post is mainly an excuse to post a certain list of lab supplies I've made for a friend and infodump about lab work. but feel free to use this as a little resource when writing characters who are scientists and/or lab nerds. who knows, maybe it'll be of use.
General thoughts
Many people think it's a stereotype that scientist or nerd characters talk using complex technical jargon. While that is true to an extent, there actually is some kind of lab jargon. It varies across different labs and fields, but one thing they have in common is that it seeks to simplify, not the other way around.
gelelectrophoresis becomes elpho
microbiology becomes mibi
deioninized water becomes aqua dist
biochemistry becomes BC
sodium hydroxide becomes NaOH
They will probably not call a glass of water "silicon dioxide and h2o".
...and more. feel free to get creative. If you're writing in any other language than English, you can throw in one or two anglicisms as well. Also, most scientists will never gatekeep their work, and in an opposite fashion, will not shut up about it unless you make them. And no, most chemists do not know the entire periodic table by heart, only the most relevant elements. (main groups and a few commonly used metals of the subgroups) When it comes to characters doing the lab work, keep in mind that there are a lot more people involved than the scientist themself. Most scientists are more occupied with paperwork and data analysis, it is the laboratory technicians and assistants that do most of the practical work. They often have more lab experience than the scientists themselves.
Things you can have your lab nerd character do instead of making random chemicals explode
writing a lab report (and losing their mind over excel)
degreasing the glass bevel stoppers
removing the permanent marker from beakers (labeling is important)
complaining about the lack of funding of [their field] research
cleaning glassware
preparing specimen for examination
googling the most basic equations for their report
checking if the glassware and utensil collections are complete
steal single use plastic pipettes from their lab
pirating expensive textbooks

I ramble about the scientists and engineers on qsmp (mike, pac, tubbo, ramon and aypierre) and about what i think they specialize in:
Pac to me is a bio chemist/ pharmacist. He knows how to make antidotes as he did in the happy pills arc. He is the one in the tazercraft duo who learned medicine and chem. This man however does not know the meaning of "ethical practices". he picked up some physics and engineering knowledge from being with mike
Mike feels like a phycisist with some knowledge in other fields. It lfeels like he knows theory very well and has the problem solving skills for it. He knows some engineering stuff, some chem from pac and some computer science stuff. This is what helps him be a sort of jack of all trades and build things like the game arenas with pac.
Tubbo and ramon are very similar to me in that they are both just mechanical engineers who know some other stuff. They are create mod experts making them especially good at mechanical engineering but htey also know some electrical stuff and maybe some computer science. They are both well versed in physics though not professionals as they can do shit like time machines or build the radio reciever. Tubbo in particular is also a logistics nerd which is what pushes him to make large interconnected systems and factories.
Aypierre feels like a robotics and software expert. He might also be a create mod user but the way he does it and his factories give a much more modern fancy robot vibe. He certainly approaches the mod in a more 1 project at a time way which is closer to working on computer science. He also always makes displays that show what the factory is producing. Other evidence for this is the ayrobot shit.
Im convinved these 5 have had intense joke arguments over whihc science or field is the best. Theyve done it several times. By now pac has given up on fighting since hes the only biologist.
i need more scinecy art and shit frm them. Especially for pac. I need fitpac moments where pac is just rambling about some complicated chem stuff and fit is like :)

STEM SISTER SCUFFLE: ROUND 2 MASHUP 4
Winry Rockbell (Full Metal Alchemist) vs Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum (Adventure Time)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Winry Rockbell is an Automail Mechanic!
Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum is a Bioenginner, Chemist and Roboticist!
Why you should vote for each contestant:
Winry Rockbell:
"The best automail mechanic in the whole of Amestris: need I say more? She’s also the only person who can really get Edward Elric to listen / scare him"
"She's super smart and is crazy about mechanics, but she's also so kind and compassionate! She helped deliver a baby, she cares really deeply for her friends and family! She truly rocks!"
"i’m a biomedical engineer so she is the best women in stem"
"she’s extremely skilled and dedicated to her craft, her work is very high quality (she’s also the personal mechanic for one of the protagonists) and she has a dedication to improving the lives of the people around her in any way she can (and she has so much autism swag about automail, it’s a joy to watch). i love her your honour"
"She's so good and so fun and she's trying her best. She makes sure the prosthetics work and they're super plot important!!!!!"
"She can build and repair robot limbs AND attach them to human nerves"
"She’s only 15 and is repairing magic-infused heavy machinery for fun"
"Spunky, kind, and smart as hell... one of the shounen manga girls of all time."
"At age fifteen she could build a whole metal arm in 3 days (pulling all nighters)! She geeks out over the work of other prosthetics engineers and earned herself an apprenticeship where the shop's costumers began to prefer her after only a few months! She's kind but takes no shit and narratively symbolizes the goodness of humanity. also she read medical textbooks as a kid (her parents were both doctors) and was able to apply that knowledge for successful impromptu midwifery years later!"
"She is practically a child engineering Genius! Designs and makes prosthetics. She takes her work very seriously and geeks out over other people's designs. She is such a beautifully written strong female character that holds her own in a fandom full of amazing strong female characters and a great role model. She's Hella cute"
"She is considered a prodigy in her field, and is known as the “Automail Otaku” because of her unending interest of any machines and tools in the building and repairing of automail. She is incredibly smart, sincere, and passionate. She works hard for what she wants, is full of optimism despite what she has suffered, and is very loyal to her friends."
"built a fully functioning prosthetic arm for her friend when she was TWELVE basically by herself and has been his regular mechanic since. also heavily dabbles in the medical side as well as the mechanical side (for example: she successfully delivered a baby single-handedly at fifteen having only ever read about the subject before). she is so skrunkly she’s an icon a legend and she is the moment"
"Listen any girl who can master mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and biology in order to build prosthetic limbs by the age of 12 is Impressive. She’s the one that got me onto an engineering career path I’m very biased"
Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum:
"She’s a freak about it! she is committing horrors in there but just lowkey, and she’s having fun doing it which is what matters"
"She cares about her people to an absolute fault and all her evil science is for them (when it’s not simply for sciences sake) and that’s why she’s a girlboss <3"
"She’s unethical. She’s a mother. She’s a monster. She lives in a world of magic but only believes in science. She was even a lesbian. PB for the win!"
"she is a pink lesbian!! she has committed war crimes!! she is much more complex than the audience's (and the main character's) initial impression of her!! she created an entire kingdom that she rules and when she gets voted out she loses her sense of identity!! and loves her subjects and also spies on them!! she is trying not to be so mean!! she is passionate about her science work and she loves her girlfriend!!! SHE IS SO GREAT. her gf Marcy is actually my favorite but bonnibel's relationship with family and home is super compelling, everything from her abusive/controlling uncle who tried to force her into a het relationship to her (metaphorically) intellectually disabled younger brother who she loves so much because people get built different! we don't need to know why we just need to respect them! thank you. I love her"
"Organizes conferences for people to present their scientific findings, created life forms when she was lonely, has committed so many war crimes (including intergalatically) using tech she invented, lost an election because she assumed people would care more about facts than charisma (they did not), is gay. Spent a thousand years pining for her rockstar vampire ex-girlfriend. 💕💞💕"
"She has a RAT named SCIENCE. One time in the comics she also did a flip and kicked a door down while saying ""physics I swear to gob if you don't work now I swear physics I SWEAR"" she was literally threatening physics. Anyways physics worked good for her! She has built an entire kingdom from the ground up INCLUDING its life forms. She HATES wizards with a passion. Magic to her is just science with silly presentation. It's implied she's been to wizard prison a lot of times before. HOWEVER she also has a vampire half-demon girlfriend so yeah. Oh yeah she's gay too. "I have a disease that makes me like vampires and titties its called being a fucking genius""
"She is the best woman in STEM because she LITERALLY created and genetically engineered the people of her kingdom, built incredible robot guardians to fight off intruders, and continues to experiment (including an experiment gone wrong where she was trying to resurrect dead citizens) in spite of being a busy princess (and lowkey dictator) ruling her kingdom solo. She created/built her own family (aside from her brother), and eliminated them when they tried to rule over her and stop her from being an independent scientist. She is multitalented, hardworking, and just unethical enough to keep things fun and entertaining! She has no ethics board, so the experiments get wild! She is so Blorbo, you know? Also people don't acknowledge her science stuff enough, I want her to get more recognition as the insane, wonderful mad scientist she is."
"She’s an unethical mad scientist who experiments on her subjects. What’s not to love"
"Invents gadgets/devices and even created her own citizens"
"For the realness of working in the lab endlessly without sleep (Ignore that she set up a police state I guess)"
"Literally built an entire kingdom citizen by citizen"
"She bioengineered an entire country . Kinda fucked up, but that's okay"

In my re-watch of Lois and Clark the New Adventures of Superman i have reached the Sex Pollen Episode
yes you heard that right
sure it was a lexcorp chemist releasing her insane airborne aphrodisiac BUT STILL ohmygod it was awkward but fucking FUNNY. Lois was ready to just fuck Clark's brains out this is not an exaggeration. (and of course she does later in the show. the show is a slow burn to them fucking (ok and getting married). that's not a spoiler that's the premise)
also the episode starts with Clark's Average Morning where he uses his superpowers to cook breakfast/do his chores. a lot of episodes start this way!
this show is WONDERFUL at showing off Clark's just everyday behavior (and not just for the sort of cold-opens because this show thinks its a 45 min sitcom). In this show he's Clark Kent, he's really just this average man who happens to have superpowers so he uses them to do everyday things. (and be superman when he needs to be so he can save everyone without having to give up his normal life. he's superman like 10% of the time. Which is perfect, i love superman but when things focuses on superman it gets boring.)
Also if this show aired today Lex would be labeled a commentary on El*n Mu*k. He's the quintesential evil capitalist who thinks himself a genius (he's smart sure but he buys/pays for all his tech). Lex never builds a giant robot or anything all his crimes are normal (making them kinda scary) just a little outrageous (like using the metropolis aquaduct as his nuclear plant's heat sink to fuck with the city's weather and blame superman + make the city wild for his nuclear plant to power AC for the city. Him manipulating utilities for his own gain!!!)
anyways this show is amazing because its really a comedy investigative reporter show where things investigated are both normal and a touch cartoonishly outrageous. and the character's have amazing chemistry (not just romantic). Clark and Lois are constantly bantering and that's not to mention the rest of the cast!!!

Using meteorites from Mars, an AI-powered robot chemist synthesized compounds that could be used to generate oxygen from water, scientists announced on Monday (Nov. 13). Potential future crewed missions to Mars will need oxygen — not just for astronauts to breathe, but also for use as rocket propellant. One key way to make such missions cost-effective in the long run is to use resources that already exist on the Red Planet to create the oxygen. That'd be much easier than lugging a bunch of oxygen, and oxygen-producing materials, all the way from Earth. The idea is promising because Mars does possess significant reserves of frozen water ice — because water is made of hydrogen and oxygen, scientists have been looking for ways to harvest the latter element from those Martian reserves. In particular, compounds known as catalysts are capable of spurring chemical reactions that "split" water molecules to generate oxygen and hydrogen gas. In a new study, researchers experimented with an AI chemist to produce some of those water-splitting catalysts — most importantly, these tests were conducted with materials found on Mars. The team focused on five different categories of Martian meteorites, which are rocks that crashed down on Earth after cosmic impacts blasted them off the Red Planet.

The fear: Jason Todd x fem!reader part 4
Tumblr media
part 1
part 2
part 3
Driving back to Gotham was…. Intense. A lot of memories started creeping inside Y/N mind, both wanted and unwanted, good and bad. Most of them were about her time with batboys, all the fun and fear combined, but on the other part there were recollections of her father’s lab, late nights working on some chemicals and substances.
Even the weather seemed to fit into her melancholic mood, since satisfying Gotham notoriety as the most depressing city in the world it started heavy raining the second she get into the car…..
“Oh, boys…. What did you got yourself into this time?” she sighed, trying to focus on the road.
One year ago.
The boys were out, as usual, doing their usual crime-fighting vigilante shit. All four of them, even if Y/N and Babs were repeatedly warning Bruce that making them work together was not a good idea. However, Batman was not known for his listening-to-reason skills. Instead of changing plans, he decided to involve Cass and Steph into the mission as well, treating them like some sort of safety valve in case his sons really started fighting themselves.
Chemist and Oracle stayed in the batcave, in front of the computer, shaking their heads in disapproval as they watched how the patrol was going. Bruce and Dick dealt with the problem head-on, Jason went rouge and solo within first five minutes, Tim was trying his best to hold back Damian, who became unhinged with his katana and only Cass and Steph were doing good work.
“This is a disaster….” Babs muttered rubbing her forehead
“Yeah, tell me something new.” Y/N muttered, biting on the cracker. She never cared about Bruce’s rule prohibiting food in the cave. “Maybe we should use…..”
“Y/N…..” Babs warned the other girl
“What?” Y/N shrugged “you know my mixtures never fail. And look at them, they are going to get hurt…”
“They always get hurt. Shall I remind you, your boyfriend got so badly hurt he actually died?”
“Well thanks for the reminder, Oracle. Do you wish for Dick to go through the same or do you want to actually be a life safer?”
“They would hate our interference….” Babs smiled mischievously
“And?” Y/N smirked, her eyes glistening
“Let’s do this.”
So the girls took matters into their own hands, sending one of Wayne’s remotely controlled robot loaded with Y/N’s chemicals to remedy the situation. Thankfully, all the Waynes were quick enough to wrap their heads around what was happening to cover their faces and not inhale any of it. Within seconds, all the criminals were unconscious on the ground.
“That’s a win for us, Babs!” Y/N smiled and high-fived her friends.
“Y/N……” Bruce warning tone reverberated in the comms.
“Oh, shit…..”
***
“Why am I the only one here? Babs was involved as well!” the second Batman got back from mission he summoned Y/N to have a conversation. And now, she was facing him, all alone, trying not to become intimidated.
“We both know it was your idea. You really know how to mess around.”
“And that makes me a perfect addition to the family, doesn’t it?”
“Y/n…..” Bruce sighed deeply. He hated to admit it, but he had soft spot for her.
“What, Bruce? Why are you like this? You know well enough you were outnumbered there. You had zero chances, even if you decided to work together. What was I supposed to do? Watch you all get beaten to death? I’ve …. I’ve been through it once when Jay….. “ she inhaled calming herself down. That was in the past. “Sorry.” She shook her head getting rid of the memories. That was not the way to convince Bruce “When you took me in, after my parents went haywire, the only thing I wanted was to be useful, to help. I am not a front-line fighter, but ever since I’ve been doing my best. Having your backs. And now you want to punish me for this?”
“I don’t want to punish you.” Bruce whispered
“What? You don’t?”
“No. It was a good call.”
“Um…. Thank you?”
“You can go now. “
“If that’s your way of thanking me, then you are welcome.” she smirked and Bruce mimicked this expression “Are you all right, Bruce? Anything broken?”
“I’m fine. But if there’s any of that healing serum of yours left then…..”
“I was supposed to save it for Jay, but he would probably refuse to take it, damn his ego.” Y/N shrugged “and since you asked so nicely….” She reached to her pocket and retrieved a small vial tossing it to Batman “enjoy.”
***
“Oh, there she is. Finally. I see you handled Bruce by yourself.” Jason was already in his room, laying on the bed on his back, turning towards the door when she came through them.
“I’ve been doing it for the last couple years. Unlike someone else I know, I learn from experience.” She came closer and sat on the bed, close enough to see his face in the dim room but not enough for him to touch her.
“Someone else, huh?” Jason scoffed trying to grab her, but hissed in pain and fell back immediately “Fuck.”
“Mhm. You’re just proving my point here. Stay down.”
“I thought you preferred me on top.” He smirked devilishly
“On top of your stupidity, for sure.” She rolled her eyes, but moved just a tiny-teeny bit closer.
“In comparison to anyone else in this family I am practically a genius.”
“A genius in the kindergarten.”
“Still, a genius.” He groaned when the change in position made the injured part of his abs hurt.
“Where does it hurt?” she asked calmly
“Nowhere.”
“Stop it, you fool. I told you hundreds of times – you don’t have to act stronger than you really are when you’re with me.”
“I don’t. I am the strongest one in the family.”
“The strongest and the smartest? God,  how did I get so lucky to end up with you?”
“I keep asking myself the same question.”
“How did I get so lucky with you?” she raised an eyebrow in confusion
“Oh, you silly one….” He smiled and lifted himself up a bit (surprisingly noting hurt at the moment) capturing her lips in his. The kiss was soft, slow and gentle. He was never good with words, but his actions spoke for themselves and she knew it.  She loved him and he loved her. He pulled away after a few seconds and cupped her cheek, connecting their foreheads “tease….” He whispered
“Look who’s talking.” Her hands sneaked up his arms and shoulders, locking on his neck not wanting to let him go, not just yet. Enjoying this little moment just between two of them, without interruption of his family, or the work or some sort of emergency.
“I missed you.”
“How could you missed me, if you saw me a few hours ago?”
“I don’t know. But I did. Can’t hold that against me. ” Jay rubbed her cheek affectionately.
“Good thing I missed you too, Jaybird.”
“Stay with me? I might need some comfort after I got so badly bruised.”
“I thought you were the strongest in the family?”
“And that is why you should stay with me. If anything happens I am the only one to protect you…..”
“I’ll stay with you” she pecked his lips quickly and he smiled lightly “but only because I want to see if you can live up to your words. Now scooch over, I need some place for myself if….”
“Oh, no, you don’t….” he grinned and pulled her on top of him, so that she was lying fully on his chest, his arms tightly wrapped around her, his breath steady and calming.
“Jay, what about your injuries…..”
“Irrelevant.” He muttered holding her even closer “You’re my only focus now. “

Now
She stopped her car in front of Wayne Manor,  a tad anxious, not sure if she should rush to the door or rather prolong the moment of seeing him again. However, considering all the security cameras and her bat-friends instincts they already knew she was there. No turning back now she thought to herself and gathering all her confidence walked towards the door.
“Hello, Alfred” she smiled when familiar face showed on the other side
“Hello, miss Y/N. Welcome home.”

A healthy ocean is critical for all life on Earth. 🌏️
But to make predictions about the future of our ocean, scientists need to understand its biological and chemical cycles. That’s where MBARI’s Ocean Biogeochemical Sensing Team comes in. Led by marine chemist Yui Takeshita, this team is developing sensors that detect how climate change alters ocean chemistry.
Each year, the ocean absorbs 25 percent of the carbon dioxide emitted by human activities. It has buffered our planet from the worst effects of climate change but at a heavy cost. The ocean is becoming more acidic, creating a more stressful environment for marine life.

Scientists need new tools to better understand the ocean's changing chemistry. Yui’s team is developing and deploying autonomous robots to measure and monitor these changes.
They’re studying how ocean acidification affects ecosystems from the coast to the open sea. The team is sharing new sensor technologies with colleagues around the world to quickly scale our ability to observe the world ocean at this critical moment.

Question? You've alluded to the fact that Abel has access to more resources and is fairly more liked than his older brother. Does Abel have his own freakshow, carnival, or circus. Cause I can see it being flashier than his brothers, the performers are better maintained but make no mistake Abel is about improvement and quality. His manipulative ways would sort of indoctrinate his performers into truly believing they are the ones responsible for the punishments they receive cause he gave them a fair warning. This kind of psychological manipulation is less likely to make one go insane as they still technically believe Abel is on their side when he isn't and really only cares for himself. (Basically employing the same tactic AIngle uses on Gangle to keep his performers behaving.) Unlike his brother tho, Abel is also willing to see what his performers are actually good at instead of just assigning them a random role like Caine (part of his manipulation to see how best he can twist the person's skills to his favor. For example, someone exceptionally good at robotic engineering can be useful in creating various "mock" animal attractions, beast fights, and other shows [especially if the engineer is good at military tech as well] or be responsible for the construction of NPC entities that do miscellaneous activities that the performers aren't required to do or perform activities such as selling merchandise during the show while keeping the space clean. Or say something of a chemist might be used to make "magic" through the use of said materials or an electrician performing dangerous stunts with arcing plasma and tesla coils with a shock cage.)

SpaceTime -- A brief history
SpaceTime is Australia’s most popular and respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two million downloads every year. We’re also number five in the United States.  The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science.  SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research.  The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network.  Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor.  Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio, before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News and Current Affairs. Later, Gary became part of the team that set up ABC NewsRadio and was one of its first presenters. When asked to put his science background to use, Gary developed StarStuff which he wrote, produced and hosted, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Nielsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.  The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually.  However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage.  Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently.  StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016.  Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is published three times weekly (every Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.
