Make your own UberHood with all the townies!
Yes! You!  At this stage, to my knowledge, you can only do this the lazy way when creating an Uberhood new, from scratch. It may well be possible - but IDK. The ancestors... well thats a hard job which I dont think anyone wants to tackle. Not all of these subhoods add the NPCs, but most do. Its hit and miss. But thats part of the fun I guess!
Base Game
Pleasantview This is easy, meetme already did the work for us. Thanks Komei, Goopy, I guess you were too iconic. Their Simblr Here.
Strangetown Sunrader has subhoodified Dorsal Axe’s Fixed Strangetown. Dorsal Axe’s is a dream for purists who merely wish to not borkify their games. Find Sunrader’s Website here.
Veronaville
Once again, Sunrader comes to the rescue. They used A technique of their own invention to extract Townies and NPCs, added them to MeetMe’s template, and then converted to a subhood. Once again, their website is here.
University
Introducing ZachJohnUnlimited on MTS. While he has gone through the process of adding Townies and NPCs to MeetMe’s Bluewater Village, Riverblossom Hills and Desiderata Valley using CAS, this is their work from scratch, and includes all of the Dormies plus extra lore.  Find Sim State University, La Fiesta Tech and Academie Le Tour on their MTS Post here.
Nightlife
Downtown Did you know all the Downtownies were made in CAS? I didn’t. Yes, that includes Joy Despret Lakshmi Byall. Find them on Meetme’s Livejournal, the place which started this all.
Open for Business, Seasons and Freetime
Bluewater Village Zach has manually recreated the townies which werent yeeted by meetme, here in Bluewater Village. Get it from MTS here.
Riverblossom Hills As above, plus a version with the RBH NPCs. Get it from MTS here.
Desiderata Valley As above again. Get it from MTS here
Apartment Life
Belladonna Cove I did the work of converting TheNeonPlumb’s CAS work myself. Get the deetz on that thread. This and Downtown are the only ones with no NPCs. Get it from my Simblr here.
Bon Voyage
I don’t think there are clean templates. Can someone let me know if there is one? Twikkii Island and especially Takemizu Village are diabolical. Three Lakes gets a pass (a mountain pass, hahaha). Just use the ones that ship with the game, god. Unrelated, ProfesionalPartyGuest has done a good job at making Locals which are less terrible. click on the hood names earlier to find em.
Thanks to @knut-rocketman who helped me with putting this list together over discord when I was off my face on Vertigo medication (I made my game into a BFBVS several times). Jawusa’s empty hoods might also be of use.

Elvis (2022) Review
Tumblr media
Don’t know what to make of this, but for some reason the go-to way of showing emotion in this film was to have characters stare through windows. The amount of window glaring shots in this movie was redonculous!
Plot: From his rise to fame to his unprecedented superstardom, rock 'n' roll icon Elvis Presley maintains a complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker, over the course of 20 years. Central to Presley's journey and happiness is one of the most influential people in his life - Priscilla.
Elvis Presley is arguably one of the most significant musical icons of the last century, and his songs have been played and enjoyed until this day and onward. Personally I didn’t grow up listening to Elvis. Instead being a Russian born kid, my family played the Soviet version of Elvis - this chap with the easy-to-pronounce name Muslim Magomaev who’s voice did resemble Elvis’ quite a bit. Worth a YouTube search if interested. Anyway, enough unnecessary Soviet promotion. Back on topic, seeing as music biopics have been made cool in recent years thanks to the successes of Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman respectively, now the King gets his due. This comes to us from director Baz Luhrmann for better or worse, as what we get is a visually popping motion picture that really captures the colourful flair of Elvis’ shows and costumes, however this is very much an example of style over substance. Especially the first half of the movie rushes through Elvis’ earlier life and plays out like a montage with quick cuts and transitions, so much so that in prior to hearing of Austin Butler’s incredible transformation into the role I felt like I was being deceived, as there were hardly any scenes that played fully and allowed the actors to freely show off their acting chops. Instead we were being treated to a best-of playlist of Elvis’ greatest hits (not complaining though, listening to those was great) and a bunch of intercut sequences that were ticking off points off of Elvis’ Wikipedia biography section, and it was difficult to get engaged in the proceedings. Well, minus Elvis’ first performance in front of an audience where I feel Baz Luhrmann got inspired by Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story where women began getting so horned up by the singer they began undressing themselves. Okay, that version was only in Walk Hard and what we get in Elvis is a PG version of that where women simply bit their lips and screamed in collective horniness over Elvis’ twitching leg dances.
It is not only till the second half of the film however when we reach the Las Vegas stage (pardon the pun) of Elvis’ life that the movie pulls the brakes and actually finds a narrative purpose by unravelling the controlling relationship between the singer and his manager. During these points Austin Butler’s performance really does shine, as you see the pain and inner turmoil he feels from being a humongous success, but not having any real freedom or personal choice. He was simply used as a pawn on a chess board played by businessmen who wanted to export him for all his worth. And Butler also dabs well with the musical sequences, dancing and singing his way to Presley glory.
The main issue however with Elvis minus the lack of narrative direction and too much focus on the visuals over anything else, is that it does the questionable choice of being narrated and told from the perspective of the villain. Colonel Tom Parker, played here by Tom Hanks in a fat suit and a head-scratching accent, was the manager who exploited and used Elvis for his own gain. And the movie proves how despicable of a being he is, however with him narrating the story one has to question - why? Is the movie trying to redeem this persona? Cause the story told still paints him as the bad guy. It just seems like a directorial choice that doesn’t make much sense stylistically or narratively. Okay, put it simply, it doesn’t make any sense at all.
Overall Elvis is an enjoyable and fascinating look at the life of the famous icon, with a solid performance from Austin Butler and a grandiose visual palette from Baz Luhrmann, but similar to the director’s previous works, he puts too much focus on the style and as such loses the focus or the narrative substance. Though this is redeemed in the second half. That being said, this makes me keen on seeing more biopics of popular music stars, as its always fascinating discovering the personal life of people we only see as celebrities. Maybe David Bowie? One for David Grohl and the Foo Fighters? Heck, my inner child is screaming for an ABBA biopic! Make it happen!! Then again there is that Madonna biopic coming out made by Madonna herself, which is one of the most obnoxious things I’ve ever heard, even from Madonna!
Overall score: 6/10

What other projects have you watched with got and hotd actors and how do you like their performance outside of got/hotd?
I’ve watched probably….most of Matt Smith’s filmography on account of watching Doctor Who in high school and falling in love with him. I think he’s incredibly talented and charismatic and genuinely perfect casting as Daemon. I had also seen Paddy Considine in that movie Pride altho I didn’t recognize him as Viserys lmao but i adore that movie, you should watch if you haven’t seen it, it’s about the Lesbians And Gays Support The Miners movement and I definitely cried watching it aksjdjd. I also watched all of bates motel as it was airing which olivia is in (and also the sound of metal, which she and riz ahmed are amazing in, and also riz steven and chadwick were robbed that year smh). olivia and matt are actually The Reason i started hotd lol i didn’t intend to watch it but then i was like oh…..but……….i love them aksjsjs.
I have technically seen Rhys in several things but he’s Fine. I am still mad about him having zero chemistry with Lucy Liu in Elementary and ruining an entire season by having negative rizz. why am i supposed to believe that man is like some great love of watson’s life when they don’t even look like they like each other. rhys count your fuckijg days. i’ve also seen graham mactavish in a number of things, the first being Outlander and he was like, one of the best antagonist characters in the show, was both excited and devastated when his character died hah he has one of my favorite lines in the show which is “the idea of grinding your corn does tickle me” 💀💀😂😂
For the main show, I had seen Charles Dance in Phantom (he’s really good even tho it’s a more romantic take on the story but that’s fine i still love it!!!), Lena, Peter, & Mark in like Most Of Their Filmographies bc i was already a fan of them, who hasn’t seen at least five Sean Bean deaths, and I’d seen a few Alexander Siddig, Ciaran Hinds, Iain Glenn, & Indira Varma in a bunch of stuff too and loved them - Kingdom of Heaven & Syriana & DS9, Persuasion & The Terror, Resident Evil, Kama Sutra.
I’ve seen Gwendoline, Elyes (he was Rakharo, rip to an icon), Thomas Brodie, Sophie, Maisie, Kit, Richard, Jason (Momoa), Michelle, and Tobias in a bunch of other stuff since I started the show. I think Gwendoline is incredibly talented, as are Sophie and Maisie. Richard imo usually needs a good script to shine - like Rocketman? amazing. Eternals? Meh - and Kit is uh. Sometimes he has good chemistry with other actors. I paid real money to see him in Pompeii and my sibling holds a grudge against me to this day for that one aksjd. Jason Momoa has a tendency to just play different versions of himself but the movie Red Road Redemption is real good, it’s about MMIW & his acting abilities really shine, I’d love to see him in more serious or more romantic roles and less action roles. I cannot praise Tobias Menzies more highly, hes in Outlander, The Terror, and the Crown and he’s just sublime in all of them and you’d never know it by the way they wrote Edmure. OH SHIT also obviously Jacob Artist in IWTV is amazinnnnnnng EGOT INCOMING and Nathalie Emmanuel was REALLY FUN in The Invitation!!!
Probably my favorite of everyone is Peter Dinklage tho, he’s very serious & choosy with his roles bc he doesn’t want to play a stereotype and it’s made his filmography just *muah* like it’s so interesting and varied and he puts his whole heart into every role however goofy or serious it is. i love him, i want him to be the romantic lead in more stuff bc i’m a romantic and also like, a pervert and he’s so handsome aksksk.
Also Ciaran Hinds & Amanda Root Persuasion >>>>>>>>>>> Those Other Two

Based on Peter Brown’s beloved novel, “The Wild Robot” introduces us to ROZZUM unit 7134, affectionately known as Roz. As she builds relationships with the island’s animals, she becomes the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill. From DreamWorks Animation comes a new adaptation of a literary sensation, Peter Brown's beloved, award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller, The Wild Robot. The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, "Roz" for short — that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling. The Wild Robot stars Academy Award® winner Lupita Nyong'o (Us, The Black Panther franchise) as robot Roz; Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as fox Fink; Emmy winner Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek, Best in Show) as opossum Pinktail; Oscar® nominee Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor(Heartstopper, Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, this summer's The Fall Guy) as Vontra, a robot that will intersect with Roz's life on the island. The film also features the voice talents of Emmy winning pop-culture icon Mark Hamill (Star Wars franchise, The Boy and the Heron), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows, The SpongeBob Movie franchise), and Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible films, Pulp Fiction). A powerful story about the discovery of self, a thrilling examination of the bridge between technology and nature and a moving exploration of what it means to be alive and connected to all living things, The Wild Robot is written and directed by three-time Oscar® nominee Chris Sanders—the writer-director of DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, and Disney's Lilo & Stitch—and is produced by Jeff Hermann (DreamWorks Animation's The Boss Baby 2: Family Business; co-producer, Kung Fu Panda franchise). The Wild Robot will be released on September 20th.

Viv’s Fave Movie Biographies
1. Monster - 2003
Tumblr media
The story of Aileen Wuornos one of the elusive female serial killers in history. This movie will have you both empathetic to the past that led to her violence and astonished at the deterioration of her psyche.
2. The Pianist - 2002
Tumblr media
I watched this movie for the first time when I took a Holocaust course in university. I fully bawled my eyes out while watching this absolute brutally honest depiction of what a Jewish person had to go through during this period of terror and atrocities.
3. Straight Outta Compton - 2015
Tumblr media
So good! This movie captured my childhood soundtrack and the deep racial divisions of the 80s and 90s in America.
4. Walk the Line - 2005
Tumblr media
I watched this movie when it came out and didn’t understand any of it because I was 7. Upon rewatching it later in life, I have got a greater appreciation of Johnny Cash and his tumultuous love life.
5. I, Tonya - 2017
Tumblr media
Love me some Sebastian Stan, but in this movie I hated his gross porn stache and his guts. You really get an understanding for how people are created to be villains.
6. The Social Network - 2010
Tumblr media
I mean this film is just iconic, really the first movie to depict the beginnings of a social media network and it’s effect not only on the people that use it but the people that made it.
7. Spotlight - 2015
Tumblr media
Always love a good movie about catching child predators and exposing their horrendous actions.
8. The Wolf of Wall Street - 2013
Tumblr media
One summer my friends and I were obsessed with the song “Jordan Belford”, so we decided to watch the movie about him. Man oh man, we were not prepared to see that his life was not as luxurious as it’s made out to be.
9. Rocketman - 2019
Tumblr media
My favourite part about this movie is that Taron Egerton sung all of the Elton John songs himself. I like that it doesn’t glorify his life but rather tells it how it is. Also, Richard Madden is a total hottie in this movie.
10. Bohemian Rhapsody - 2018
Tumblr media
The acting is just phenomenal, Rami Malek is just a freaking fantastic Freddie Mercury. Who doesn’t love watching a movie about an absolute gay icon.
