RWBY: Jaune Arc Mandalorian AU: Jaune’s Starfighter
**During the last Two Years at Beacon, Jaune and his friends all got along he managed to have a very loving relationship with Yang and the two Teams became power houses after their first year, but on one night they played Truth or Dare Jaune Revealed in a Truth he has a Starfighter to help him go earn some cash from bounties in space given to him by his Bounty Hunter Mentor; Boba Fett.**
(Night of the ToD game night)
Ruby: BULLSHIT! I call BULL!! SHIT!!
Yang: Ruby! Language! I’m sure Jaune is just joking
Jaune: who said I was?
Yang:…huh?!….
Teams RWBY & (J)NPR: ………EEEEHHHH!?!?!……
They all yelled in shock and saw that he wasn’t joking at all.
**The very next morning he took Team RWBY and his own team down to Ozpin private landing bay for Beacon where bullhead ships were kept, they all soon saw a ship that was covered in a large grey tarp and once they walked over to it Jaune grabbed the tarp and revealed his Starfighter.**
Tumblr media
Ruby:…oh wow…(eyes shine and she begins to drool)…
Weiss: mhm this is quite a spectacle~
Blake: I mean I’ve read these in science fiction books but never thought I’d see one in person
Yang: that’s fucking hot babe~💕
Pyrrha: Jaune you always continue to surprise us
Nora: I WANNA RIDE IT! I WANNA RIDE IT! I WANNA RIDE IT! AND I WANNA BLOW STUFF UP WITH IT!!!
Ren: Nora No! (He said trying to hold her back)
Nora: NORA YES!!
Jaune: I’ll think about it Nora, anyway this is my Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor, years ago it was originally made for a old warrior race of people known as Jedi but they all went extinct and are only a few left in the Galaxy, as from what my mentor told me when he got this for me
Blake: your mentor got you this?
Jaune: yeah it was a gift after I completed my training, but despite it all I wear his family crest on it to show my thanks to him and to honor my mentor
**Suddenly Weiss interrupted**
Weiss: if that’s so, what’s this art piece supposed to indicate mhm~
**she said in a teasing tone as they all looked at the side of Jaune’s Starfighter wing and saw a pin up spray paint art piece of Yang**
Tumblr media
youtube
**everyone looked at the pin up with blushes, some covered their mouths and some looked at Jaune with a cheeky smirk, but Yang mostly was looking at it in embarrassment but also a little bit happy on the inside seeing Jaune still thinking of her when he’s away**
Yang: J-Jaune WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?!
Jaune: now Yang come on I can explain
Nora: so fearless leader got a sexy mascot to show off to the galaxy huh
Jaune: NORA!
Pyrrha: my goodness Jaune I didn’t think you’d do that and by yangs reaction you didn’t even get her permission, how deviant of you
Jaune: Pyrrha it’s not what y-
Yang: how could you Jaune! (She said blushing harder)
Jaune: Yang please it is just a pi
Yang: how could you get my Signature Wrong!!
RWB(Y) & JNPR:…….Huh???
**they all said in confusion**
Yang: if you wanted me to be your pin up you should have had me sign it!
Jaune:…..umm…ok I’m sorry?….I guess?
Yang: good but I’ll forgive you under one condition
Jaune: what?
Yang: if you take me for a ride in it first before everyone else
**she said tapping her fingers together and making a pouty face along while doing it**
Jaune: (Giggles) sure thing babe
**he said as he pulls her in for a kiss and her soon accepted his apology from the kiss and his promise**
Nora: can I blow up a Cabbage Stand with it now!
Ren: why a Cabbage Stand?!
Blake: you really wanna ask her that question Ren?
Nora: Well my beautiful Ren Ren, it’s because in every universe there is a Cabbage man who yells “No! My Cabbages!!” It’s a universal thing Ren Ren~💕
Ren: What?
Nora: I WANNA BLOW SHIT UP!!
Ruby: ME TOO!! I WANNA BLOW SHIT UP!!
Ren: NORA NO!!!
Yang: RUBY LANGUAGE!!

The Trial of Jaune Arc
"Whagh... What happened?"
Ruby Rose lifted her head from the solid ground, finding herself in the middle of large, yet not empty room. Bustling about around her, there were dozens, if not hundreds of people shambling swiftly, murmuring in a cacophony of sounds she couldn't understand. Strangest yet, they all looked like her best friend.
Jaune Arc was her first friend at school when she arrived at Beacon, her older sister, Yang, not including. He stood taller than her, expected of someone a few years older, and had a big, goofy smile under his mop of shaggy, blond hair. He was... different from all the other students. Where everyone else was so sure of themselves and their abilities, Jaune seemed less sure. Like he expected himself to fail, for some reason.
Thinking on this self-doubt he held, she remembered the events prior that led to her occupation in this room. Last week, he tried once more to ask her bestie, Weiss Schnee, out on a date. Except it was different this time. This time, Jaune didn't even try, or try to try. It was like he took one step forward, then turned around and left without breathing a word to her. In fact, Weiss didn't even notice until Ruby told her.
Jaune was going through something, and Ruby wanted to help. But she wasn't exactly an expert on how to fix things like self-esteem or social awkwardness, so she turned to the one thing that held all the answers for her: online research articles. One link led to another and she found herself ordering this weird door from an even weirder website, talking about "repairing broken minds". When she went to show Jaune and maybe put her money to good use, she tripped and the door stuck to his head and she found herself falling into him! Into his mind!
That's when things started coming together for her. Specifically how she ended up in this strange, unknown building that shined white all around. She looked down to the shiny, mirror-like floor, finding her reflection staring back. She smiled, then frowned, and then was shoved off the floor and into a room. She tried to fight her way through the incoming tides of Jaunes...
"E-Excuse me!"
"Pardon me!"
"I need to-"
"Agh! Stop shoving!"
...only for it to end in vain.
The room Ruby was steamrolled into was just as white and shiny as the one prior. She stood up and noticed that there were Jaunes everywhere. Jaunes were seated in wooden benches both behind and away in front of the little wooden fence. In one corner, one Jaune was dressed in heavy-looking, white armor. In the other, a Jaune wearing glasses sat in a chair, in front of a very big, complicated... thing with a lot of buttons.
"All rise for the honorable Jaune Arc."
The Jaunes stood at the order. Ruby whirled around in confusion. She heard the doors open behind her and three people entered, all of them Jaune. The first was a very fancy-looking Jaune, with slick-back hair and tiny glasses at the end of his nose. The second was the exact opposite kind of Jaune and was hunched over from carrying a suitcase full of papers that were spilling out. The final Jaune was the most haggard of them all, wearing a black-and-white striped outfit and manacles around both his feet and his wrists with a long chain connecting them together.
"Be seated." Ruby turned to see another Jaune, this one much bigger and honestly the weirdest looking one so far. Instead of his signature blond hair, he had a wig of curly, white hair and wore a long, black robe. Ruby hopped into an open seat behind the defense table.
"Is the prosecution ready?" The Jaune with slick hair nodded, not needing to say a word. "And is the defense-"
Before he could finish, the nervous Jaune screamed so loud that his head popped. Ruby blinked a couple of times to make sure she wasn't dreaming that. And just for good measure, she reached down to pinch her arm.
"Mr. Arc!" Ruby looked up to find all eyes on her. "Is. The defense. Ready?"
Giving a gulp, Ruby nodded. "Y-Yes, your honor."
"Then I call this courtroom to order." Judge Jaune banged his rubber hammer on the desk thing. "Jaune Arc, you stand accused of three very heinous crimes in the eyes of Remnant. Do you understand these charges?"
"I do." Jaune answered next to Ruby.
"Uh, I... I don't."
"A Jaune doesn't know what he's doing?" The cool-guy Jaune gave a chuckle. "Must be a day that ends in Y."
Everyone laughed at the joke. And yes, everyone that was a Jaune laughed. The judge, the jury, the guard guy, the buttons guy, and even the Jaune next to Ruby laughed. It really unnerved her, but she gave a chuckle, an uncomfortable one, but a chuckle regardless.
"Jaune Arc, you stand accused of the following crimes; embarrassing your ancestors, wasting everyone's time, and being a failure. Now that you have been explained and understand these charges, how do you plead?"
"I plead guilty, your honor." Jaune said next to her.
"NO!" Ruby shouted, echoing loudly across the spacious room. Everyone stared at her, even the one next to her. However, while everyone else's eyes were filled with anger, shock, and disgust, his were more... confused? Like he'd heard something he'd never heard before and was trying to figure out what it was that was said.
"What... did you just say?"
"I..." Ruby gulped, then slapped her hands against the table as she stood up. "I cannot accept these charges. Jaune didn't do anything like that!"
"And do you intend to prove that?" Judge Jaune asked.
"Yes, your honor!"
"With evidence?"
"Yes!" Evidence was stuff to prove things, right? Ruby started wishing she'd paid more attention to those courtroom dramas her dad would put on.
"Very well." Judge Jaune nodded and straightened himself. "This court will adjourn itself until the defense has provided the necessary evidence to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that Jaune Arc is innocent of the charges accused against him." His hammer squeaked. "Court is adjourned."

Do Yang & Weiss being the best students mean Pyrrha was more of a sports scholarship jock? Glynda apparently did yell at their team a lot.
Pyrrha Yang and Weiss are in my head the best students in beacon Pyrrhas the lowest out of them academically but like her combat and physical related grades are like genuinely perfect which is much harder to achieve as it’s much more nuanced
Pyrrhas grades are by no means bad in my mind most sports scholarship jocks I know actually have AMAZING grades not like the best in the world but better then everyone else you talk to so yeah I usually see her doing better then everyone else cause she’s just so dedicated to everything she does if she ever needed help with anything she’d ask the second there was confusion
She’s a scholar athlete and a celebrity shes good
Even if she did have bad academic grades tho I think in this kinda school her performance grades being all over perfect would be enough to still be better then everyone in gpa
Yang is just the most huntsman ever as she was raised by huntsmen to be a huntsman and a different job has probably never occurred to her so she’s kinda just really good at this stuff and Weiss we all know is the nerd of all time we love her also her semblance is so god damn strong it doesn’t matter she’s definitely been training to fight for the shortest period of time
If there’s a student council they’re all the freshman on it like they’re doing every extracurricular setting up any dance or pep rally or anything to help out the staff Weiss to network and gain a good reputation Pyrrha because she’s just so nice and Yang cause she literally knows all of these people like that teacher? Could be her god parent? Like ozpin and ironwood are probably at thanksgiving Yang and Ruby have a completely different view on things compared to everyone
I could talk about the Yang Weiss and Pyrrha dynamic forever tho could you imagine? It’d be so much fun

Not the Bird You’re Thinking Of...
Tumblr media
When thinking of Team STRQ as a ‘previous generation’ version of Team RWBY, it feels like a pretty common held take among the fandom at this point that Raven was the ‘Blake’ of her team, in the same way it seems pretty clear that Summer paralleled Ruby and Tai paralleled Yang. And it’s certainly been easy to draw some links between Blake and Raven, particularly when paralleling Blake’s relationship with Yang to Raven’s relationship with Tai.
I mean I’ll freely admit that I myself was one-hundred-percent on-board with this take back when the end of Volume 3 seemed to pull a ‘history repeats’ trope with Blake abandoning Yang in a way that felt very similar to Raven abandoning Tai. Which continued through Volume 5 where it seemed like the story was setting up Blake/Yang as a foil to Raven/Tai, with Blake returning to Yang, where Raven didn’t return to Tai.
However, more recently I’ve started to question how well this current interpretation of Team STRQ=Team RWBY actually works with what we now know of the characters. Like if nothing else, this current setup of Summer=Ruby, Tai=Yang and Raven=Blake leaves Qrow being the equivalent to Weiss, which I think we can all agree is… a head-scratching comparison to say the least.
Now to be fair, I do think the parallels between Summer-Ruby and Tai-Yang are still solid. Rather, it’s the supposed parallels between Raven and Blake that I’m questioning.
See, when you start looking past the surface-level ‘Raven did something similar to what Blake did’ parallels and start comparing these two as actual characters and people, things start getting pretty sketchy.
Yes, both fit the ‘dark, edgy loner’ trope, but beyond that are some serious differences. Blake is quiet and withdrawn whereas Raven is brusque and standoffish. Blake often acts humble while Raven often acts superior. And whereas Blake is so often self-deprecating and wallowing in self-pity for any wrongs she believes she may have committed (see Volume 4), Raven tries to blame others for her mistakes and runs away from responsibility. Ask yourself, does it really make sense that Blake could feasibly grow into the kind of person we see Raven as in Volume 4 and 5? Personally, I don’t think it really does.
And the best part is, do you know who IS so often quiet, withdrawn, brooding and has shown a serious self-deprecation and wallowing-in-self-pity problem in recent volumes?
Qrow.
So yeah, I actually think that it’s QROW who makes a way better parallel to Blake on Team STRQ than Raven does. And let’s not forget that Qrow ALSO put his absolute trust and faith behind a leader who ultimately let him down in a huge way. Even their weapons feels similar from a certain point of view, both having a sword-mode, the gun-form of Qrow’s weapon functioning like a handgun, and the sickle-form of Blake’s weapon more or less serving as a miniature scythe. Plus, I feel like growing up into basically the James Bond of Remnant fits Blake way better than Raven.
Oh, and this shift ALSO fixes the confusing element I brought up earlier. Because you know who was brusque and standoffish and acted like she knew better than everyone else at the start of the show?
Weiss.
Just as Qrow makes a way better parallel to Blake on Team STRQ, I think Raven likewise makes a very good parallel to Weiss. Certainly a better parallel than Qrow does. When we look at Raven in Volumes 4 and 5 and consider what we’ve heard about her, I think it makes way more sense that she would have been more like Weiss in the teams Beacon days. Oh, and let’s not forget that Raven’s weapon is a dust-infused sword with a rotating chamber just like Weiss’s.
And when we start extrapolating these changes to the character dynamics of Team STRQ, I think we start seeing a LOT of interesting parallels to the dynamics of Team RWBY. Particularly when we think of Team STRQ as the ‘failed’ version of Team RWBY who made the wrong decisions.
Like one of the things that made Qrow paralleling Weiss so confusing is that what little we’ve heard of his relationship with Summer doesn’t mesh that well with Weiss’s dynamic with Ruby. But with Qrow paralleling Blake, suddenly the way he talks about Summer makes a LOT more sense. Qrow seems to hold a great admiration and respect for Summer, saying ‘she was always the best of us’ and seems to have also had a close, platonic affection towards her. Which lines up very well with how fiercely loyal Blake has shown to be towards Ruby in recent volumes and in particular their conversation in Volume 8 when Blake tells Ruby how much she admires and respects her.
And of course, even the scant amount of info we have about Raven’s relationship with Summer makes a lot more sense paralleling to Weiss’s and Ruby’s relationship. Like if we start looking at Raven as at least partially representing a version of Weiss who lost Ruby, I think a LOT of her behavior and actions start making a lot more sense.
Now the one wrinkle with this whole idea I know a lot people are going to bring up is; ‘How can Raven be the Weiss of Team STRQ when her and Tai’s relationship parallels Bumbleby?’
Well consider this: What if Raven and Tai didn’t actually HAVE a relationship? If we start working from the concept of Team STRQ being a version of Team RWBY who made the wrong decisions, what if Raven and Tai trying to get together was one of those? I’ve brought this up in other posts, but I have a hunch at this point that Yang was an unplanned pregnancy. The product of what was supposed to be some one-night-stand between Raven and Tai which drove them into trying to force a relationship that one or both of them didn’t actually want. Which in turn is at least one of the major reasons Raven fled her team after Yang was born.
Raven’s and Tai’s relationship was never going to work because they’re NOT actually the parallel to Bumbleby on Team STRQ. The parallel to Bumbleby on Team STRQ is Qrow and Tai.
Even from what little we’ve seen, I think Qrow and Tai actually do make sense as a kind of ‘failed’ Bumbleby. A version of Blake and Yang who were never able to open up about how they felt for each other and have just been dancing around their feelings for so long they’ve just given up. A version of Blake who’s fully internalized the idea that he doesn’t deserve to be happy and the man he loves would be better off without him, and a version of Yang who at this point has just given up. And you know that parallel of Raven running away from Tai? Well I’d say it’s pretty clear that Qrow has been running away from Tai just as much.
This also smooths out any prospective reconciliation arc between Raven and Tai. I’ve seen a fair bit of debate since Volume 5 as to whether or not Raven and Tai ‘should’ get ‘back together’ or not after everything that’s happened. Instead, with this setup the reconciliation arc becomes Raven and Tai recognizing that they were never going to work as a couple and being able to accept each other as Teammates and family.
All in all, I think this interpretation of Team STRQ’s parallels to Team RWBY lines up with the characters much better. With Qrow we have an equivalent to Blake who parallels her character traits much more smoothly, and with Raven we have, well a parallel to Weiss that actually works. (let’s be honest; Qrow NEVER worked as a Team STRQ equivalent to Weiss).
Oh, and if anyone familiar with my other theories is wondering if my attraction to this interpretation of Team STRQ is at ALL influenced by the fact that it positions Summer and Raven as being both partners AND parallels to the relationship between Ruby and Weiss, and leaves things open for a certain relationship between these two that in turn sets up a certain possible origin for our main heroine AND presents foreshadowing for Ruby and Weiss themselves getting together?
You are EXACTLY right. XD

Mini Fanfic #1184: Sunset Watching with Big Sis Yang (RWBY)
5:34 p.m. The Xiaolong's Residence's Rooftop........
Oscar: (Sighs In Relief While Sitting Next to Yang on the Rooftop of her abd Ruby's House) ISo glad to finally be back home......
Yang: (Turns to Oscar with a Cheeky Grin on her Face) Getting tired of the marriage lifestyle already there, champ?~
Oscar: Yeah. Not the most insane fiasco I got dragged into, but it's up there with the others, that's for sure. (Starts Snickering a Bit) I almost felt bad for the crooks who ran the whole scheme in the first place.
Yang: (Chuckles Lightly) Don't remind me~ Our friends scarred those jerks for life back there!~
Oscar: (Casually Shrugs) Can't say I'm too surprised really. The protectiveness from each and everyone of you guys have been showing no signs of bounds these days.
Yang: (Happily Pulls Oscar into a One Armed Hug) Well, no duh!~ You know we got your kiddos back no matter what.
Oscar: (Chuckles Lightly) I know. We got yours too. Always. (Looks Back at the Sunset) Thanks again for bringing me up here with you, Yang. I keep forgetting how pretty and peaceful the sunset looks at times.
Yang: (Forms a Teasing Smirk) Like your future wifey?~
Oscar: (Rolls his Eyes) Getting really obnoxious today, aren't we?
Yang: I'm a Big Sis, Oscar. It's what I do. (Smiles Softly) But seriously though, you don't need to thank me at all. (Look At the Sunset Herself) Rubes and I used to watch the sunset together all the time growing up. But now that we're older and she's more busy being Ruby, I'm in need of a new Sunset Buddy as of late. (Turns Back to Oscar) You're cute and just as much of a smartass as she is, so I say you fit the bill perfectly!~ (Happily Gives Oscar a Thumbs Up)
Oscar: (Rolls his Eyes Again) Gee. I'm so honored.
Yang: And now sarcasm. I'm starting to actually believe Nora for once.
Oscar: Believe her on what exactly?
Yang: That Ruby's been a bad influence on you.
Oscar: Oh and like you guys are any better in the equation.
Yang: (Immediately Pouts at Oscar) Hey, say what you will about everyone else, I have been wonderful influence all around!
Oscar: I say otherwise. Remember all those pranks you had me pull with you last year?
Yang: You volunteered to help me!
Oscar: Yeah. By suckering me in with those Puppy Dog Eyes of yours.
Yang: You LOVED those Puppy Dog Eyes! Don't even try to deny it either, mister! ('Sighs Heavily') Anyways......(Went Back to Smiling Again) I'm really happy to have you out here watching it with me. Especially when I can tell that something been bothering you when we started heading back home.
Oscar: (Turns to Yang with a Bit of an Uneasy Frown) It was really that noticeable, huh?
Yang: Yeah, but that's mostly cause of my sisterly instinct managed to quickly notice that right away.
Oscar: Huh. Neat. ('Sigh') But yeah.....I'd be lying if I say nothing been troubling me since then......
Yang: (Starts Frowning) It's about Qrow, isn't it?
Oscar: (Simply Nodded) I take it Ruby already filled you in on everything?
Yang: Her and Emerald, yeah. She wasn't happy about any of that at all by the way.
Oscar: And how do you feel right now?
Yang: (Eyes Turn Red) Pissed. (Ball her Fist Up a Bit in Anger) Like I'm having a strong urge to the punch him straight to his face the next time i see him. But I'm more worried about you of anything. Hell, to tell you truth, I've always been worried about you.
Oscar: You have?
Yang: Of course. How couldn't I? You mean the world to us, Oscar, truly. (Let's Out a Sigh Before Looking Down with Sadness Now in her Eyes) I'm so sorry....
Oscar: (Genuinely A Bit Confused) What for? It's not like you're the one who punched me or called me "A Worthless Meat Shield" in front of everyone in the room.
Yang: No. But we sure as hell, aren't any better? We yelled and lash out at you, hardly ever helped console you when you were stressing yourself out about the Merge you and Oz were supposed to have, we made you feel like an outcast of the group, for God sake, we never even bothered to get on Ironwood for not inviting you to that stupid celebration party he threw for us back at Atlas!!
Oscar: Okay, I'll admit that the Atlas one gotten to me a bit more thab i hoped it wouldn't. (Frowns at Yang) But you really don't have be hard on yourself about this, Ya-
Yang: (Immediately Places her Hand on Top of Oscar's as He Looks at Him Directly Towards his Eyes) Yes, Oscar, I do. I know that you see the best in us and i am so happy that ypu do, but please. You can't keep make excuses for this any longer! Look, either way you look at it, we......were terrible friends to you. You were practically dragged into this whole Ozpin and Salem ficaso with little to NO choice or say in the matter and yet here we were not doing anything to help! You deserved a whole better than all the crap you had to endure in the past. ('Sniff') And.....it's all the more reason why I and.....everyone else in group, are so......so sorry, Oscar........
Oscar stares into the pain, tearful look into Yang's face for a few seconds before finally speaking.
Oscar: Hey, Yang, can I say a few things?
Yang: Yeah...(Uses her Arm to Wipe the Tears Away as Best as She Could) ('Sniff') Go right ahead, kiddo. ('Sniff')....I can take it......
Oscar: (Takes a Deep Breath) Okay, look, I don't blame any of you guys for the way you acted in the past nor do I ever think you're terrible for doing so. It was stressful, traumatic journey for each of us to get through, so it makes all the more sense as to why we let our emotions get the better of us on a few occasions. And I know! You said not makes any more excuses for you guys, but I meant every word I said and I'm sticking to it. (Looks Up at the Sunset Before Letting Out Another Sigh) But....you are right about one thing: I did felt like an outcast sometimes. Like, I was never worthy of being part of the team to begin with. I even felt like my existence and....purpose of life was just that: Being another substitute body for Oz to use until I get disposed of. They're terrible feelings to have all around.......
Oscar looks down at both of his hands before gently balling them up into fists, taking another deep breath.
Oscar: But eventually, I realized that my life has a lot more valuable and purpose than I thought, as my own person. So whenever I do feel like being stuck in the corner, I calm myself, recollect my thoughts, get myself back up, and keep doing the best I can to contribute and keep fighting to see another, in my own ordinary way. And really, I don't think I would be sitting here right now, if it weren't for any of you guys being there for me when i needed it and giving me all the confidence I need to become a better version of myself. Hell, you even went out of your way to save me from Salem once and that is something I will NEVER forget that as long as I still live and breathe. So yeah, we may not always see eye-to-eye sometimes, we may even get mad at each other and say or do things neither of us really meant to do, but all of that alone won't ever stop me from loving you guys to pieces. Because you're more than just my friends and comrades.....(Turns Back to Yang With Most Sincerest Smile He Has Ever Mustered) You're my family and I would never trade you in for any-THING!?
Before he could finslly finish his sentence, Yang immediately pulls Oscar into tight, but very loving hug.
Yang: Thank you....('Sniff') Thank you so much, Oscar. I promise, from this day forward, we are going keep doing better, make you feel more loved and appreciated. ('Sniff') So don't you dare give up on us just yet! You hear me?
Oscar: (Chuckles Lightly) Never planning on it. (Happily Hugs Yang Back) Thank you for listening......Hm.
Yang: What's wrong now?
Oscar: Nothing. Just....realizing how right Ruby was is all. (Snuggles a Bit Onyo Yang's Embrace) You really do give out the best hugs~
Yang: (Giggles Softly) You goddamn right I do!~ What kind of big sister I'd be if I didn't?~
Oscar: A boring one maybe? Which you clearly are not by the way.
Yang: (Smiles Brightly) Exactly! Which is why, starting first thing tomorrow morning, you and I are gonna be spending the whole day together. Better not have any other plans by then~
Oscar: (Rolls his Eyes) Relax. I'll be free tomorrow. But what makes you wanna do it in that in the first place? You know, beside having our talk just now.
Yang: It's been a long while since we got the proper chance to hangout together, so intend to fix that from here on out, future brother-in-law~ (Playfully Winks at the Farm Boi)
Oscar: ('Sighs in Annoyance') You're never gonna let me live this down, aren't you?
Yang: As I live in breathe~ We're a family remember?
Oscar: (Smiles Softly) Yes. Yes we are. I love you, Yang.
Yang: (Heart Begins to Melt in Genuine Happiness) I love you too, Kid. (Kiss the Top of Oscar's Head) Thank you so much for being a part of our lives~
Oscar: Thanks for being part of mines. You changed my life for the better.
Yang: Ditto.

Saw a bit of the Epilogue/Animatic/Story Board thing and I just....
"Don't come back" ?.........???
That... honestly doesn't make any sense.
At first, when I only saw screenshots of it, I was intrigued! "Don't come back" implies that the one(s) this message is directed to COULD come back, ya know?
Such as Ozpin, or perhaps, team RW//BY if anyone knows they can come back from the Ever After.
Which, maybe Ozpin informed everyone that there's a way home for the team and that's why everyone isn't so concerned? I could be remembering wrong, but I thought he knew something about it. But maybe he doesn't
But otherwise, such a message of "Don't come back" doesn't make sense to put on a grave/monument. Because, uh, duh, the dead can't come back. That's impossible for anyone besides Oz & Salem in this world/story.
But allegedly that's supposed to be Ironwood's monument...?????
Why?? Why bother dedicating something to him in his memory, only to desecrate it?? If you hate the man, then don't dedicate a grave to him??
And if it's supposed to be Jaques, same argument.
"Don't come back" implies that the recipient(s) of said message have the ability or possibility to come back or be brought back.
So it would make more sense if this was directed at team RW//BY, as many are rightfully angry and upset and distraught over the events at Atlas. Being made homeless and possibly losing many loved ones along the way would be horrible to go through.
And even if people don't know anything about the Ever After or anything like that, and they just know team RW//BY (and the shit) fell into the void, I could still see people being "Well, maybe they can find a portal or something back here" or "Who knows where that even leads, maybe they're not dead".
But regardless of any of this, the message still is kinda dumb and pointless.
Unless this is supposed to have actual weight, it really means nothing. Because it's dumb to put on anyone's grave, regardless of who it is, and I'm fairly certain no one knows about the Ever After and how to get back to Remnant.
Also, if Winter and Qrow are supposed to be monologing to their departed loved ones (Weiss, Ruby & Yang), then why do so at the grave of someone you ended up hating randomly??? That's what also makes this confusing
RT really couldn't think of anything else for this teaser/video, huh? It makes absolutely no sense and feels so disconnected from the show and characters.
It's just nonsensical fodder to get money, I suppose.

Feeling very...
Currently an argument...that's been brewing for months, had finally reached a breaking point.
The tribal chiefstess of the 'Arc' family would not have her family destroyed right in front of her...so she decided to have the two problem child's lash it out.
Bleiss Schnee and Ruby Rose were arguing over if Ruby really loved Jaune or not, while everyone else knew of Ruby's love, Bleiss was not so sure. On and on, they argued until Bleiss started yelling at Ruby...
Ruby: Why are you yelling at me? Im trying to make peace and love Jaune, The tribal chiefstess says she wants peace!
Bleiss: Jail-bait, I don't give a damn what the tribal chiefstess say!
Tumblr media
A collective 'ooohs' and 'uh-ohs' could be heard from amongst a crowd as Pyrhha, who had her head down as she was letting the two argue out their differences for the good of the 'Arc' family, raised her head after hearing Bleiss's outburst.
Slowly and menacingly, she looked at Bleiss, who at this point knew she fucked up big time as Pyrrha walked up to her face, Bleiss didn't dare look Pyrrha in the eye. Seeing the situation going south, Ruby acted.
Ruby: Pyrrha... What Bleiss said was super messed up, but she didn't mean that... she didn't mean that.
Ruby got in between the self-proclaimed Tribal Chiefstess and The Schnee black-sheep.
Ruby: Right, Bleiss, you didn't mean that?
Bliess who shook her head still refusing to look Pyrrha in the eyes:I didn't mean that...
Ruby: Look, Bleiss has been going through a rough patch. She's been going through a lot...she just not feeling...very...
Ruby struggled to find the words before saying the first thing that came to her mind.
Ruby: She just not feeling very Arc-y.
Bleiss and Pyrrha both looked at Ruby flabbergasted.
Arc-y?
Pyrrha scratched her face as a small smile made its way onto her face, whilst Bleiss was struggling to keep a straight face all the while Ruby looked on, hoping things would calm down.
In the background, Neo, Blake, Weiss, and Yang could barely hold a straight face as well, almost ready to burst out laughing.
Pyrrha: Is that what's going on here...that's the problem Bleiss it's cause you're not feeling...
She looked at Ruby, who nodded as Pyrrha just chuckled.
Pyrrha: It's cause you're not feeling...Arc-y?
At this point, everyone in the group looked on the verge of tears trying to hold in their laughter, Pyrhha looked at Ruby, who nodded as Pyrrha then just told Ruby to say no more, she knew now what to do.
Bleiss still holding a straight face, tried to leave lest she bust out laughing, but Pyrrha wasn't done.
Pyrrha: No-no stay here, stay right here.
Pyrrha, this time, looked at Bleiss: Listen...If you can't find your inner Arc-y again, I'm going to do something you're not gonna like.
She turned to Ruby, who just looked at them curiously. Suddenly, Pyrrha made an axe motion across the shirt that she had gotten Ruby, which said Honorary Arc, on it.
Pyrrha: I'm going to take that 'Honorary' away...
Ruby looked at Pyrrha confused and almost crushed at what she said.
Pyrrha put a hand on Bleiss shoulder.
Pyrrha: And imma make her a full-blown Arc.
That brought Ruby's happiness sky high!
She would be a full-blown arc and be able to kiss/hug and cuddle Jaune!
Pyrrha: So fix it...or I will.
Suddenly, the lights flashed on as a door opened.
Jaune: Uh guys...um what are you all doing in here?
Pyrrha now embarrassed: Nothing, nothing at all, Jaune! Hey, let's go do some training, okay?
Jaune: Is that Ruby? What's her shirt say?
Pyrrha: Oh nothing! Nothing! Come on, come on! We got worked to do!
Jaune: o-okay uh see you all later!
Jaune was then pushed out by a blushing pyrhha who looked back to Bleiss and Ruby, a glare in her eyes before leaving after with the love of their life's.
Yang: So Bleiss, how are you gonna tap into your...inner Arc-y?

Do you think Glynda would have been the only one to side with Ozpin, or at least not hold much of a grudge against him, treating him empathy, after his big secret reveal in V6? She's already displayed a great deal of uncond trust towards him when she talked with Ironwood about him having doubts about Ozpin
Honestly, if the only thing that changed was Glynda's inclusion and the same writers were still doing the same things... I don't think Glynda would've sided with Ozpin at all, because the writers love to write "and then RWBYJNOR think blah blah blah," or "and then RWBYJNORQ want XYZ." They struggle to do plotlines where people can disagree without being framed as One Hundred Percent Bad In The Wrong Needs To Change Might Be Evil. I feel like if they had Glynda be a more prominent role and involved in the story up to V6, they would've had her also be so furious and disappointed in and angry at Ozpin just like Qrow, even if it didn't make any sense.
Logically though, what I think would happen if the writers cared about consistency and making their characters have an original thought, I think that Glynda would be the most on board with Ozpin and have the least problems with him out of anyone.
I think Qrow should've sided with Ozpin, but been personally very hurt by Ozpin's lack of trust in him, creating conflict for them to work through later. I think Yang should've been against Ozpin, resolving that he can't be trusted because he lied to them and (however temporarily) icing him out and not looking to him as a leader. I think Weiss should've been mostly on Yang's side, albeit with a bit more sympathy towards Oz, sort of in the camp of "I get where he's coming from but clearly we can't trust him to be honest or to always have our best interests at heart." I think Blake should've actually taken the stance of "you guys don't know what it's like, maybe he should've told the truth, but it's easier to say 'you should trust us' than it is to actually trust people after you've been hurt so many times, I've been there and I get it" and she should've been way more sympathetic towards Ozpin because of her backstory. I think once Jaune heard about it later, he should've had problems too and been willing to work with Ozpin, but hesitant with him and frequently doubting the legitimacy of his claims and tending to rely on himself and Ruby and not really think of Ozpin as any sort of reliable guide to be consulted in plans. Ren should take kind of the same stance as Jaune, albeit with a more logical thought process of "we should only do what he says if we think he's right, everything else doesn't matter as much." And I actually think Nora should've been fully on board with Ozpin, easily assuming that he only lied to them and/or didn't trust them because he'd been hurt in the past, and that she doesn't really care and still likes him. And I think that Ironwood should've - when he eventually heard - been somewhat hurt as well, but understand the logic of it, but also just resolve to work all the harder himself, knowing that Ozpin is not always a safety net and knowing that Ozpin doesn't always share everything important. And Glynda would fully on Ozpin's side except unlike Qrow (who I feel has a very emotional and personal connection to Ozpin and would fall back on believing in Ozpin because he loves him more than because it logically makes sense) and Nora (who I honestly think is just a very loyal follower with strong intuition and a good judge of character but doesn't really have much logic behind 100% trusting Oz,) Glynda would instead completely get where Oz is coming from, completely understand why he did the things he did, completely agree with them, and just keep trusting him completely. As for Ruby (who is the most important person here,) I think that she should've been kind of in-between and not sure what to think, feeling confused on how she's supposed to react, trying to make everyone happy at once, and be understanding but also a good strong leader herself, and tries to rely more on herself instead of others in the wake of what happened.
Basically, if I was the RWBY writer, I think Glynda would side with Ozpin because that's what I think makes the most sense for her character. Everyone should be having different reactions because what Ozpin did is nuanced, not just pure evil, and I think that with what Glynda was like in V1-3, the natural thing and what would make the most sense would be her understanding and supporting Ozpin. However, I think if the writers included her, she wouldn't side with Ozpin at all, because they didn't want it to be a nuanced conversation and a chance to show the range of their characters where some people agreed with Ozpin, some people didn't, and some people were kind of in-between. They just wanted to say 'Ozpin is bad and dumb and we should all be against him,' and so they couldn't have Glynda do anything but agree with Team RWBY... Unless they made her into one of those characters that temporarily disagrees with Team RWBY so they can all be like 😮🫢😞😠 and then they either take it back later of become an antagonist.

Ruby: So, Blake. Kids, huh?
Blake: Yeah, we have played with the idea.
Weiss: Well it is good to plan ahead of something as big as having a family. Have you thought about the...
Ruby: The name of the baby!!
Blake: *Chuckles*
Weiss: ....the something that is definitely more important than the name of your still unborn child, Ruby come on! The name is probably the last thing you should be concerned about at this point!
Ruby: Well yeah, but you eventually need to come up with it. Everyone has a name.
Weiss: *Sighs* Fine, have it your way. Lets just talk about the name first then...
Blake: Well we have played with some ideas about the names...
Ruby: How about merging it from your names?
Blake: Oh, NO. Definitely No.
RW: *Confused*
Weiss: Okay, I'll ask. What is the problem there?
Blake: The problem is no one else than my dear wife...
Ruby: Yang? How come?
Blake: *Sighs* It just wont work with her...
Weiss: Why not?
Blake: You don't want to know.
Yang *Returns home* Hi honey! i'm home! Oh, hi sis and Weiss. What's up?
WB: Just talking.
Yang: About what?
Blake: Just about everything.
Weiss: Nothing really important, really.
Ruby: And definitely not about baby names.
Yang: *Smirks and looks at Blake* Baby names you say?
Blake: I'm going to kill you Ruby...
Ruby: Cmon! I'm curious future auntie to be! I bet Yang's name wont be that bad.
Yang: So you told them about Bang?
RW: ....what?
Blake: *Groans*
Yang: *Smirks* Bang.
Weiss: Oh my gosh.
Ruby: Yang that's... Really lame even for you.
Yang: What? I think it's great
Blake: Get my point now?
Weiss: Yup. Poor child if they wild be named by Yang.

RWBY: FATE
(VOLUME 1 IS DONE MOTHAFUCKERS! HIP HIP HOORAY I FINALLY GOT SOMETHING DONE! enjoy everyone)
(Hub to the rest of the pages.)
Ruby could barely stand still as she leaped up and down with joy as her, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Jaune, Nora, pyrrha, and Ren were lined up next to each aswell as everyone else that had seemingly passed the test. Ozpin walked infront of them before stopping with hazel right behind him as everyone stood on a stage with the crowd of hundreds of others standing beneath them.
"Greetings students, due to my lack of foresight I had sent you all out without you receiving a flare gun so this test will be redone tomorrow. That is for those who have not passed. As for the ones who did I'm going to announce them." Ozpin spoke plainly into the mic infront of him, as hazel just grumbled something.
"To begin I'd like to announce the first team that had completed the test, the new team CRDL. Lead by Cardin Winchester. If the team may step up and say a few words. Please." Ozpin continued as a group of men walked up as one brunette wearing chainmail and metal-plate armor lead the group as what looked like the insignia of a cardinal flapping its wings was plastered on his chest plate. The group stopped in front of the mic as Ozpin stepped aside for them. The one in the armor grabbed the mic and began speaking.
"Howdy folks, pleasure to meet y'all. I'm cardin obviously, and Just know that me and my team are going to do our best so.. don't fall behind us." Cardin spoke as he and his team left with jaune raising an eyebrow as the message seemed too friendly for some reason.
Ozpin walked back to his mic. As he began listing off the different teams, team RZER, team BRKR, team BRZE untill he said something that caught Ruby's attention.
"Team RWBY, lead by ruby rose." Ozpin spoke as Ruby, Weiss, blake, and yang all felt their scrolls vibrate as they pulled them out and saw the word "RWBY" was typed in as Ruby's eyes sparkled as Ruby shot towards the mic before yelling to the top of her lungs with joy. "HELLO EVERYONE!", to which everyone including her teammates covered their ears as Weiss grumbled, so THIS was her leader. Well Atleast she wasn't annoying and so far seemed... Nice.
And so the rest of the teams were announced as turns out jaune was also a leader and he leads team JNPR consisting of him, Nora, Pyrrha- to weiss' annoyance- and Ren.
We see Ruby marching along with Weiss, Blake, and yang following behind her as ruby had a huge dopey grin on her face. "Ooh this is SOOO great! I get to lead my own team!" Ruby spoke with glee as yang chuckled softly as she pat her sister on the back. "Don't get over your head rubes, being the leader of your team is probably gonna be a tough job." Yang added before hugging ruby as Ruby hugged back as Blake narrowed her eyes. This was going to be a LOOONG year.
Soon they arrived at their door and opened it as Ruby and yangs face immediately contorted to disgust as Weiss and Blake looked inside and saw four neatly cleaned beds set up in a horizontal line. Weiss raised an eyebrow "I don't see the problem here" Weiss spoke as she looked at yang and ruby.
"The beds... T-their... Their not-" "BUNK BEDS!" Yang interrupted her sister as they immediately shot forward as Blake and Weiss were left confused.
"Why is the fact that their not bunk beds such a big deal?" Blake questioned as yang and ruby looked at them as their faces were covered in Shadows. and to make things quick their made their beds into bunk beds... somehow.
Then our vision changes to Roman sitting in his cell as he sees a female guard walking by before stopping right in front of his cell.
"... Well what is it? Am I needed for something?" There was only silence before something dawned on Roman as he grinned. "That's my girl, you got the key?" Roman asked as the guard nodded before she took out a key before putting it in the lock as we hear a click as we fade to black.
"Thanks neo, I can always rely on ya"

White Knight Short 5: I'm sorry...
Team (R)WBY and jaune would be walking through the woods following the trail of flower petals the group would be walking in uncomfortable silence so weiss suggests an idea they split up blake and yang and juniper go ahead while she and jaune stay behind to check if ruby didn't go the other way and then they all agree and blake and yang mount juniper and go ahead leaving weiss and jaune alone. She could see an expression of sadness and guilt on jaune's face so she would walk over and try to strike up a conversation.
Weiss: So I thought the map you made of the island was really cool and very useful..
Jaune: Eh maybe you're right… maybe it's the only useful thing I can do…
Jaune would say that in a weak and depressive tone of voice and weiss seeing this took a deep breath and summoned weapon gigas in front of him making him face the knee of the big armor making him fall to the ground and he would look up seeing weiss and she extended hand to him.
Weiss: We need to talk..
Jaune would take Weiss's hand accepting his help and she would look at Jaune's face with a worried expression and Jaune looks at Weiss's face with a fake smile pretending to be fine to try to avoid that conversation.
Jaune: I fine we dont need to talk any-
Weiss would slap jaune's face leaving him confused and he would look at weiss' face which would have some tears falling down his face which would make jaune have an expression of concern and guilt.
Weiss: I'm sorry jaune but you have to stop hiding what you're feeling we are your friends and we are here to help you! I don't want to see anyone else who is important to me suffer!
Those words from weiss hit jaune's chest as if they were bullets which would make him just fall to his knees in front of her and start crying and she would get on her knees and hug him caressing his hair.
Jaune: I-I can't understand why you care so much about me I-I can't do anything right I lost my team I had to kill penny I was a terrible friend to ruby… And even if we go back to remmant I will remains a fake hero who can't save any lives..
Weiss would put both hands on jaune's face and wipe the tears that would be falling down his face and look at him eye to eye with a calm and comforting smile with a few tears falling from her eyes.
Weiss: Jaune you are one of my most important friends because if you weren't in the fight that happened in haven I could be dead right now and our situation is much worse and you are a great friend and leader you are with your team in the worst moments and in best always motivating them and if not for you ruby could have died when she was trying to go to mistral and i believe pyrrha should be as proud of you as everyone else is..
Jaune listened to what weiss was saying making him calm down and the weight of guilt he had eased not disappearing but knowing that he could have help from his friends. weiss would kiss jaune on the forehead and get up following the path that juniper's paws had made and when jaune won the kiss he would be blushing and confused but then he would chuckle and go to weiss' side and the two go following the paws until they meet the rest of the team.
(This was a dream I had of how it could happen in volume 9 ep 8 so I hope you enjoyed my vision)

bees 13 for the prompts :)
13. ribbon
beacon bees for you. in my head there's a whole au where yang finds out that blake is a faunus before everyone else and in that it happens differently but here's a snippet of an au of that au
"Do you think I could pull off the bow look?"
Blake looks up from her homework at the question, away from the desk and over to where Yang is lounging on her stomach on Blake's(!!!) bed. She has one of Blake's spare ribbons in her hands, and holds it up atop her head with a grin when she realizes that Blake is actually giving her the attention she's looking for.
"I don't think it would go with your hair," Blake says. "Or your color scheme."
"No?" Yang tips her head, still holding the ribbon up. "I think it's worth a shot. Wanna tie it for me?"
"Yang."
"Or not," Yang says, lowering the ribbon. "It's your stuff. Sorry."
"That's not what I'm—" Blake sighs. "Give me the stupid ribbon."
"Thank you," Yang says with a grin, holding the scrap of fabric out. Blake gets up from her chair at the desk and takes the ribbon, sitting down on the edge of her bed facing Yang. Yang sits up onto her knees, scooting back to make room for Blake. Blake takes the ribbon, holds it up, and—
"I don't know how to do this," she realizes. "It's...all wrong." She doesn't know where to begin without a set of ears to wrap the ribbon around. What else is she supposed to tie it to?
"Would it help if I turned around?" Yang says, not waiting for an answer before she does so. It does not help at all because it doesn't cause her to spontaneously sprout another set of ears, but Blake makes a few meaningless motions atop Yang's head anyway, running the ribbon through her hair like she's trying to figure it out.
Yang's hair is so soft. It brushes against the backs of Blake's fingers, and she fights the urge to turn her hands over and feel it with her fingertips. Blake hasn't asked, and Yang would say no anyway; she's so protective of her hair.
Come to think of it, why had Yang asked her to do this in the first place? It would inevitably involve some degree of hair touching, and Blake's been led to believe that's a serious no-no with Yang. She doesn't even let Ruby touch it most of the time, not unless she needs help with something. For all that Yang is open and free with physical affection, her hair is completely off-limits, as far as Blake knows. So why...
"Yeah, I can't do this," Blake announces, because going any further down that line of thought is going to seriously damage her ability to make good choices right now. "Sorry." She lowers the ribbon back into her lap. Yang spins in place to face her.
"It's okay," Yang says. She doesn't seem too bothered by Blake's failure. "Like you said, it probably wouldn't work for me anyway." They look at each other for a moment. "It's just too hard to do on someone else, huh?"
It's an innocuous statement, and certainly not anything Blake should read into. She should just nod and move along, and yet...something about how Yang says it...
"Why do you think I wear the bow all the time?" Blake asks. Yang takes a moment to answer, and that confirms it for Blake. If Yang didn't already know the answer, the question would garner immediate confusion. Why does anyone wear anything? But no. Yang takes her time, considers it, and then says—
"Because you want to." Yang's voice is quiet and even. Far too serious for a discussion about idiosyncratic fashion choices.
"You know," Blake says. It isn't a question. Yang lets out a long exhale.
"I don't assume anything about you that you don't tell me," she says. "That's important to me. If we want this to work out, we can't make assumptions about each other."
"But you still know."
"I'll know if you tell me."
"Are you going to tell anyone?"
"Gossiping about my partner based on things I don't even know would be kind of a dick move," Yang says. "Is that the kind of person I seem like?" Blake shouldn't know. They've only known each other a few weeks; Yang could be hiding all kinds of cruel depths, no matter how much Blake doubts it. "No," Yang says after a moment of protracted silence. "I'm not going to tell anyone."
"Thank you," Blake says. Yang shrugs. Uncomfortable, Blake stands from the bed and returns to her seat at the desk, turning away from Yang to better hide the turmoil she's feeling.
She should've expected this, really. She's hardly the first Faunus to ever hide their trait. Capes, hats, long sleeves, hell, the bow trick isn't even unique to her. Of course someone has figured it out. She should leave. She should run. She should—
"Hey, Blake?"
Blake looks over her shoulder at Yang.
"Your bow is twitching."
Blake's hands fly up, and sure enough, her ears are moving beneath the fabric, fighting to express the discomfort that the rest of her is trying to hide. With a huge effort of will, she stills them, straightens her bow, and returns to her reading, even as the words of her textbook swim around the page in front of her.
"Hey, Blake?"
"Yang, I swear," Blake says, looking over her shoulder, "if you don't let me concentrate I will take that stupid ribbon and gag you with it." Yang blinks once, twice, mouth slightly open in shock, then she grins wickedly.
"Don't threaten me with a good time."
Blake turns back to her homework with a huff.
It's fine. Yang's fine. Yang won't tell anyone. Yang is still (jokingly? definitely jokingly) flirting with her, despite knowing the truth, despite seeing it with her own eyes. It's fine. It's fine.
Blake can stay.

Can you make something with this clip please? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa_CSGfC3f4
---------------------------------------------------
Jaune: What do you mean she's not bisexual? She's dated more girls than I have, and some of those girls dated the guys that she dated!
Coco: Look, I don't care what kind of kinky crap you kids got up to in your first years, but sleeping around with a bunch of people doesn't make you bi.
Yang: I... Look, I'm not saying I know what you're talking about or that I get why you're so frustrated, but it sounds like you think that if a girl likes another girl, she's a lesbian, and that's it. Right?
Coco: You're young, Ruby. And if you keep pretending that you won't date another girl after meeting Jaune, then you're just lying to yourself.
Ruby: But that's what Dad did after he met Mom! He met her, and he chose not to be with anyone else!
Coco: Okay, but whatever feelings you have that tells you dating Jaune is what you want, that's just you trying to live up to what everyone else wants you to be.
Ruby: You mean like what you're doing?! It's like you don't believe bisexuality is real! It's the B in LGBTQ!
Coco: I am aware of the L-G- (Sarcastic) B- (Normal) T-Q.
Jaune: What the hell is that supposed to mean?! Why are you so biphobic?!
Coco: Oh, I am not!
Jaune: THEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE B!
Coco: I refuse to acknowledge the B! Bs and Qs just haven't figured out what they want in life yet!
Jaune: ...Yang, you don't think that, do you?
Yang: (Scratches head) Ah... I think... A lot of what people is just us figuring things out.
Coco: ...
Ruby: ...
Jaune: ...What does that mean?
Yang: I don't know! I read it in a blog post! Ruby, I'm sorry, but from what I've had in my experience, a lot of what Coco's said is true.
Coco: You're just confused, Ruby.
Ruby: Did anyone ever tell you that? When you first came out? "You're just confused"?
Coco: Yeah, and I know who I am! That's what I told that asshole!
Ruby: Well, I know who I am, asshole.
Coco: Yeah, but that... No, but see... That's... Shit, I can't argue with that.
Ruby: I love Jaune, and I love girls, too. Whether you "approve" or not doesn't matter to me.
Jaune: I know you guys are just looking out for us, but some of your ideas are just kind of... old school.
Yang: (Clutches chest) D... Don't say old school like that. I'm still young.
Jaune: It's just how you grew up. Like how you drink espresso every morning.
Coco: Yeah, but it's home-made.
Yang: I need it to wake up.
Jaune: We gotta go.
Yang: Where are you two going?
Jaune: Weiss is holding a get-together tomorrow, and I wanna be well-rested for helping set up the slip-and-slide.
Ruby: And watching my man work hard makes me wanna slip-and-slide~.
Jaune: Ruby, that's such a Yang thing.

Ruby gets hit on, which leaves her more confused than anything else. She sorts it out with Yang and Blake.
“Hey beautiful, are you lost?”
Ruby paused for a moment and looked up at Sun. “I go here, remember? Know exactly where everything’s at.”
Sun sighed. “Yeah, I know that, but… look, doesnt matter. Want to grab dinner with me tonight? My treat.”
“I already have plans with Weiss. Thanks though.”
“Right…” Sun rubbed the back of his head and started to walk off. “Maybe later then?”
“If I’m free!” Ruby smiled a bit, then sighed once Sun was out of sight and started to make her way back to the dorm. It had been strange that Sun and a few of the other students had started asking her about dinner plans, and as far as she was aware, nothing had changed to make people suddenly interested in her. She quickly walked into the dorm and sighed. “Yang, I’ve got a question for you.”
“What’s up?” Yang asked from her bed. “Something on your mind?”
Ruby nodded and sat down next to Yang. “Sun just asked me to dinner after trying to ask if I was lost. But its not just him. A few others have done it too. Emerald, Cardin, a couple of the first years…”
Yang paused for a moment. “Well… I guess this was going to happen at some point…”
“What do you mean?”
“People are… you know… hitting on you.” Yang sat up and sighed. “You’re seventeen now and I’m sure a few people have noticed that you’re… single… and uh… Blake? Can you talk to Ruby about this?”
Blake sighed and closed her book. “She’s your sister, why cant you talk about it?”
“Because its awkward to have this talk.” Yang pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. “And… now I sound like dad.”
Blake rolled her eyes. “Ruby, you’re pretty and they’ve probably taken an interest in you and want to ask you out on a date.”
Ruby paused for a moment. “I… dont understand.”
“They’re hitting on you.” Yang leaned back against the wall again. “You know, flirting.”
“I know what flirting is, but I dont know why they’d be interested in me.” Ruby sighed and pulled out her scroll. “I’m not interested in dating anyone.”
Yang went quiet for a moment. “Not.. at all?”
“Its never been anything I wanted to do.”
Blake looked at Ruby curiously. “But you and Weiss go out all the time. And when you’re with Penny-”
“They’re just friends.” Ruby smiled a bit as she read a text from Penny. “Weiss and I have started to get along over the last couple years and Penny is just really nice to be with. Weiss and Penny are dating and I’m happy to just be near them when I can be.”
“Then… you’ve let people know you’re not interested in dating when they ask, right?” Yang asked. “Its better to let them down when you can.”
Ruby hesitated and looked up from her scroll. “I… no…” She quickly got up and started to rush out of the dorm. “I’m running late! I’ll say something next time!”
Yang sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. “So that’s why everyone thinks she’s playing hard to get…”
“Guess it never occurred to her,” Blake said between a few giggles as she moved a rose petal away from her. “Think she’ll actually be able to let anyone down?”
“No, but I’ll try to back her up if she runs into trouble.” Yang lowered her hand and looked up at the top bunk. “Just as long as she doesnt do what I did, she’ll be fine.”
“You mean accidentally leading Pyrrha and Jaune on?”
“Something like that.”

The Tragic Irony of Neo’s Semblance
Has anyone else noticed the quite interesting, almost tragic irony that is Neo’s semblance?
With not even a snap of her fingers, Neo can assume the form of anyone she wishes. She can mimic another’s appearance perfectly. With her semblance, you’d think Neo would be the ideal spy and infiltrator, able to get into anywhere she wanted.
And yet, for all of her skill and talent in the mimicry of others, there is ONE thing, one aspect of just about anyone who’s form she assumes that Neo simply cannot replicate:
The ability to speak.
It’s almost kind of funny when you think about it. Here we have a girl who can not only mimic any appearance she wishes at a moment’s notice, but also has years of experience and practice in mimicking body language and other physical quirks. With only a bit of observation, she can replicate a person’s appearance and physical mannerisms so perfectly that not even that person’s closest friends and loved ones would be able to tell the difference...
...right up until the moment that person was expected to actually SAY something.
Again, it’s almost comical the way Neo’s semblance is hamstrung by her inability to talk. It’s easy to picture countless situations where Neo is able to replace some important or significant character, is able to perfectly replicate their appearance, get RIGHT up to whatever target she’s after... and then someone just asks her a question and then everything falls apart.
It’s why we always see Neo disguise herself as random background extras like Atlas soldiers or Schnee servants and almost never tries disguising herself as one of the heroes for more than VERY brief instances. Because she KNOWS that if she tried to replace Ruby or Weiss or anyone else to slip in among the heroes, she’d have maybe two minutes TOPS before everyone would start getting VERY curious at just how quiet Ruby or whoever else is suddenly being.
Oh, and if/when that person in question escapes whatever closet Neo stuffed them in and confronts their friends and puts Neo in a ‘spot the shapeshifter’ situation, Neo would be screwed. Like I think it’s pretty easy to imagine such a scene in Volume 9 where Ruby and Neo are fighting and Weiss/Blake/Yang find them, with Neo have disguised herself as Ruby.
The rest are confused at first, then Ruby blurts out “I’m the real one! That one’s Neo!”
The group then proceeds to look to the other Ruby who simply opens her mouth. Opens it again. And then gives a look that can only be described as “...Fuck.”
And given what we’ve seen of Neo, I can’t help but think this irony fits her all too well. When we look at Neo across her appearances in Roman Holiday going through Volumes 6-8, I think we see a girl who very often tries to use her semblance as a way of ‘escaping’ a painful reality. At first, this took the form of Trivia using her semblance quite understandably as a means of escaping the control of her parents. But by the end of the book, we see it used in a more unsettling manner.
At the end of Roman Holiday, after fulling assuming her new persona and more or less orchestrating the deaths of her parents by blowing up for childhood home, Neo basically writes off any guilt or trauma she might feel from this by simply deciding that Trivia ‘died’ in that explosion too.
And we see this trend continue in Volumes 6, 7 and 8. Rather than actually trying to cope with her grief over losing Roman, Neo just chases revenge on anyone she considered responsible for his death. But this just leads to her being easily manipulated by Cinder, a fact she is totally oblivious to right up to the point Cinder kicks her into the void.
I think Neo’s character and arc through the show represents the futility of trying to completely escape reality through fantasy. That no matter how perfectly you craft a fantasy, reality still comes crashing through the wall before too long. Whether it’s Neo’s perfectly crafted disguises being undone the moment she’s expected to actually SAY something, or her obsession with revenge blinding her to how easily Cinder was manipulating her.
It’s rather fitting, considering that Neo’s semblance is called ‘Overactive Imagination’.

Do you still remember Yandere Penny? Can you do something more with it?
Weiss woke up with a gasp of shock and confusion. Her whole body was aching yet oddly relaxed.
She fought off the pleasant lingering feelings and tried to assess the situation.
She wished she remained asleep once she saw the world around her.
Ruby, Yang, Blake, Pyrrha, Nora and countless other girls were all naked. Their eyes blank save for weird pink hearts in them, they all moaned and writhed in pleasure around none other than Jaune Arc.
What was going on? What did he do?!
“I think I am done with Professor Goodwitch,” the boy - the man- the monster said as he pulled out of the wrecked woman that used to be their teacher. His cock, still erect and glistening with the blonde’s juices, stood proud and welcoming. “Who is next?”
The entire room exploded with cries and pleas. The girls pushed and fought and knelt and begged. All for the chance of being chosen by him.
Just what happen-
“That’s no good.”
Weiss froze as she felt someone’s hands on her head. The voice sounded terrifyingly familiar.
“Looks like your headset got broken,” it was that girl from Atlas - Penny! “My love deserves better than some broken toys~”
Weiss tried to scream or fight but was far too late. In a blink of an eye, whatever device she had on her head came back online… And Weiss’s brain went offline as she was reduced to the same dumb animal as everyone else.
Her troubles and fears forgotten, she ran towards her Master ready to beg to be bred by him.
And as her beloved as given all the love he deserved, Penny could not help but wonder how he would reward her later on.
