Walking toward his shared bedroom, he shifted his hold as he juggled a bouquet of your favorite flowers, your favorite treat, and three more teddy bears to try and fill the hole of the one he dusted. Not to mention an entire box full of books and a TV he left in his office. Where you would be the majority of the time. E

With him, your husband. Slightly knocking on the door, he stepped in. "Y/n my love I know I messed up, but I hoped that-" he stopped as he looked at the room.

It looked perfect. The sheets were cleaned and the bed was made, the floor was spotless and the clothes were perfectly hung up. But, that wasn't the unusual thing. You were gone. You weren't tucked away in bed like usual, you weren't soaking in the bath, and you weren't curled up with a book.

Panicking, Shigaraki dropped his armful to scour the room, ripping apart the closet and flipping the bed.

"Y/N! Y/N WHERE ARE YOU!" Shigaraki yelled, starting to hyperventilate. As he realized you weren't in the room he ran out, searching for you desperately.

"B-boss?" A villain huffed, azul eyes glued to Shigaraki's crazed form.

"WHERE IS MY Y/N!?"

After scouring the place and demanding answers from everyone and anyone Shigaraki found himself back in your shared room, the room a mess from his search. As the reality sunk in he dropped down to his knees, despair overwhelming his senses.

You were gone.

You left.

It was all his fault.

Sobs racked through Shigaraki's being as he clawed at his neck, crying for his missing love. His other half. His reason to live. You were gone. And it was all his fault.

Reader's P.O.V:

You smirked as you passed Dabi, turning to stick your tongue out at him. Dabi just glared at you as he picked up speed, passing you once more.

"Hurry up loser! You wouldn't want to be left behind!"

"Dabi you're such a bully!" He just laughed as he ran down the hill, and into a rice farm. You've been traveling for two days, and are nearing a town that Dabi thinks would be okay for you to shelter at.

Giggling, you ran after him, jumping into his back when you came in range.

"HEY!"

"Shh you'll wake someone up!" You giggle, nuzzling your face against his head. Dabi just scoffed before slowing his pace to a safer one.

"Hehe I knew you cared." You tease, poking at his cheek.

"I can and will drop you off here and now you pest." Dabi growled, cheeks a bright pink.

You just giggled before resting your head onto Dabi's shoulder, thoughts of your former lover plaguing your mind. You missed him. A lot. Not Shigaraki, the leader of the Liberation Army, but Tomura. Tomura, the leader of the humble LOV with a soft spot for his lover and partner.

Before you knew it silent tears rolled down your face onto Dabi's shoulder. If he noticed he didn't say anything, instead opting to stay quiet as he made his way across the rice field.

Shigaraki's P.O.V:

Shigaraki awoke to the shuffling of footsteps outside of his room. "Sh-Shigaraki! We have a clue to where y/n san-"

Shigaraki lunged at the man, grasping his arm in his hand as he whispered in his ear, "Don't you EVER utter her name again. Your filthy mouth isn't worth it."

The man screamed as his arm started decaying. As Shigaraki dropped him in disgust another man quickly moved to cut off the limb, stopping the decaying.

"Where is my y/n." Shigaraki demanded, glaring at the group.

"Ti' yoon saw Dabi taking a young lady about y/h outside of the base. She had clothing that looked similar to yours, and he says she had e/c eyes." A woman reports, arms crossed over her chest nervously.

Rage shook Shigaraki as he glared at every member of the group, neck scratching over his blood-stained neck. "Why didn't he tell me this EARLIER?" Shigaraki demanded, crimson eyes glaring.

"B-because he didn't suspect anything... He thought that it was someone else because he didn't know that your chick was disloy-" the man was cut off with a scarred hand to his neck, a finger short from decaying him instantly.

"DON'T EVER INSULT MY Y/N YOU SWINE!" Shigaraki yelled, choking the sobbing man before finishing the job, decaying him instantly.

"Bring me to Ti' yoon. Now."

After gathering as much information as he could, Shigaraki quickly made his way toward where they were headed on Machia, killing any hero that dared try and interrupt him.

Reader's P.O.V:

"Y/n. Give me that back. Now."

"But Dabi! Look at how good it looks on me! I thought it was ugly before but it must of just been you!" You tease, sticking your tounge out.

"Oh that's it. You're dead. " Dabi growled, lunging toward you.

You yelped as you threw yourself into a bush, getting you and Dabi's jacket stuck in the branches.

"Aha! Got you!" Dabi grinned, tickling your form as you shook with laughter.

"Da- Dabi! Come on! Help me up!" You giggle, e/c eyes shining.

"Nah. I'm good thanks." Dabi grinned, pinching your side. Dabi just gazed at you as you cussed him out, trying to wiggle free from the bush's grasp to ring his neck.

You both froze as you heard a familiar voice calling the two of you.

"Is that.." you whisper, eyes moist.

"Yeah.. let's get out of here." Dabi replied, scooping you into his arms. You worriedly looked back as Dabi sprinted away, searching for a hiding spot.

Shigaraki's P.O.V:

"Y/N MY LOVE! DABI YOU MORON I'M GOING TO SLOWLY TURN YOU INTO DUST! LIMB BY LIMB YOU WILL SUFFER FOR TAKING MY Y/N AWAY FROM ME!" Shigaraki yelled, crazed eyes scouring the rice farm.

Shigaraki had quickly found footprints, and his rage only deepened as he saw them interlap, and yours going as far as to disappear at times. Following the tracks, he reached a rice farm, where the prints were fresher. You were near. His other half was near.

"Y/N MY LOVE PLEASE COME HOME!"

Reader's P.O.V:

Tears ran down your cheeks as you listened to Shigaraki's words. He was going to find you. You knew it. But he was going to kill Dabi. Not only that- but torture him?

"Hey y/n. It will be okay. He won't find us."

"Yes. Yes he will Dabi. And you will die. I'd rather live with the shell of the man I fell in love with rather than flee and have my best friend be tortured. And don't you argue. I know you Dabi."

"Y/n. No. You are not going back to him."

"Dabi.. you aren't going to be tortured just so I can be happy. He hadn't physically hurt me. He's still my Tomura.. maybe one day he'll change."

"Y/n no-" as Dabi reached for you you activated your quirk and froze him, stopping his movement entirely.

"Y-y/n.. no."

"You'll be free by tomorrow. Hopefully I can convince him to not-"

"Y/n! Y/n my darling!" Shigaraki exclaimed, rushing toward you.

"Tomura..?" You ask, hesitation evident in your voice.

"Oh y/n I- I am so, so sorry. Please. Please my Love. Forgive me? I- I promise to do better. To go back to normal. Y/n my dear you are the most important thing to me, please. Please, please forgive me? I promise to change. My love please." Shigaraki begged, moving to his knees and grabbing your hands.

"Tomura.. you hurt me. A lot."

"I know- I know but baby please." "

"Oh baby.. how could I say no? J-just look at you. What happened to your neck?" You ask, a tear sliding down your face.

"Shhh nothing. Don't worry about it my baby." Right as Shigaraki pulled himself up to kiss you, you put a finger to his lips.

"But. Under one condition. I will forgive you if you promise not to hurt Dabi. He's like a big brother to me Tomu. So please?"

Shigaraki growled softly before glaring up at Dabi. "Fine. For you." He hissed.

You just smiled before tip toeing to kiss Shigaraki, entangling your hands into his hair and pulling him down to deepen the kiss. There were so many emotions poured into it.

Guilt.

Regret.

Hurt.

Acknowledgment.

Anger.

Relief.

And most evident; love.

The importance of self love in BNHA

Bnha has themes of forgiveness,redemption,friendship,and love (not just romantic! Platonic and family love too),but I think one of the most important aspects of the series is the lesson of self love and self acceptance. The first characters I think of when I say this are Toga and Katsuki,but it's very apparent in a lot of the characters and their development.

Katsuki's journey of self worth:

Katsuki's arc of self acceptance is something I've talked about before,but I think it's important to bring up self love just as much. Because,obviously,Katsuki hated himself in the beginning of the series. Like most bullies insecurity was the biggest reason behind his mistreatment of others. (This doesn't excuse or justify those actions though! It's an explanation,not an excuse) But,he's come a long way from this,he's grown to see other's worth and his OWN. I think one of the most underrated Katsuki moments is in chapter 358 (it's probably because he died a couple chapters after this that it wasn't as talked about as much)

Katsuki himself knows he's different,he understands that he's grown to be better. He's accepted himself. And he doesn't HATE accepting himself,if anything he's proud of it. This is where self love comes into play. Obviously Katsuki's been on a rather difficult journey in accepting his weakness/shortcomings,but with chapter 404 that's when I feel we start seeing the real,100% authentic,Katsuki.

Since Katsuki saved All Might he's been able to accept himself,love him self. And this is IMPORTANT. With Ochako's goal to show how heroes/villains are humans and need to be treated as such,that they deserve love and support,self love would be important,because Katsuki isn't just accepting himself as a hero,but as a person.

Hand Hold:

This is one of the reasons the hand hold between Izuku and Katsuki is SO important. Izuku doesn't think of himself as a human,he's so selfless that it's a negative trait for him. When Katsuki and Izuku have the hand hold in the movie,it's Katsuki taking Izuku's lead,to SAVE to win,this hand hold would be Izuku following Katsuki's lead to seeing himself as human,accepting himself,and loving himself. If we think of the past chapters and when it brings up Katsuki,Izuku is following his lead.

When previously Katsuki was following Izuku's lead. That's why 'save to win' is so important. They're two halves of one whole. They embody the extreme of both sides of the heroic spectrum. One of them wants to win,the other wants to save,and they're the strongest when they do both. The only time they're even stronger than that is when they're working together. This wraps up BOTH of their character arcs. Since Katsuki first started his self loathing when a quirkless Izuku reached out to him,and to completely accept his weakness and past,he has to take quirkless Izuku's hand.

And for Izuku to feel comfort and support as a human,to feel self love,and to see himself as more than a hero but as he has to take the hand of the person closest to him. Katsuki's hand. (Not my words,Afo/shiggy said it!)

Ochako's Hero Journey:

Ochako started being a hero for monetary gain,since she grew up poor and wanted to help her parents. But,she's matured and grown up a lot since then (NOT SAYING WANTING TO HELP YOUR PARENTS IS CHILDISH,I'M JUST SAYING SHE HAS MORE PERSPECTIVE NOW) and now she wants to save/protect the heroes and the villains,to show their humanity. (Which is such a beautiful message that gets overlooked for Ochako's character a lot).

But,of course,Ochako isn't only teaching self love,she's learning it. I feel her crush on Izuku made her want to be selfless,just like him,but she realized Izuku was a HUMAN,not just hero Deku,and she wanted to save him. She admired Izuku so much she felt she had to be like him,which of course she ended up hurting herself because of.

I feel her falling out of love with Izuku shows how much she's become her OWN person and hero,which is what I think Horikoshi's approach was when writing her. Unlike the usual female character who's only important because she's a love interest (in shonen most of the time),Ochako has proven herself as a hero,not just a love interest. Which,instead of being in love with Izuku,she has self love. Now,Toga! Her being in love with Toga is important to the concept of self love as well. Since they're supposed to parallel one another,Ochako falling in love with a villain,someone she wants to protect and save,this is Ochako's hero story,and Toga completes this for her.

With Toga saving Ochako looking like a mix of them is showing Toga's love for Ochako,and vice versa,so it's them loving themselves,accepting themselves.

Toga calling back to the whole "I'm weird" is them both accepting themselves and each other. I mean,their whole fight was about talking about and accepting their feelings. About loving themselves and each other.

These four really show the arc of self love and acceptance that makes this story so GOOD. I also feel this is why so many queer people enjoy Bnha and resonate with these characters.

Okay but if All for one's darling was just a genuinely good,nice and kind person could this guy even comprehend that?Like would he think them fake or just naive and foolish?And of course he would abuse the fuck out of their gentle hearted nature but would he be possessive over her kindness,like if she was nice and kind to Shigaraki to the point of the guy either also going yandere for her or seeing her as a mother figure,would AFO encourage it as sorta fucked up family and better grip on Shiggy?

- AFO is just fascinated with that innocent and kind-hearted nature. He lives to please himself, so finding someone who lives to help others is a blessing for him and a nightmare for his darling. He doesn't see them as being fake and instead thinks they are adorably naïve given how quickly the world will spit in the face of someone trying to help.

- Your naïvety is precious to him and he will take full advantage of you. Just a few minutes longer in bed with him, okay? He is feeling tired so can you help him get off? Be a dear and massage his shoulders for him, wont you? There is no possible way he will be able to stop himself from monopolizing your time and attention. He wants your love and affectionate behavior in every possible way, so he will not leave you alone for a second.

- Honestly, Shigaraki is the only person AFO will tolerate you being kind to other than him. AFO is possessive as all hell of your sweet temper and kind actions. In his mind, you belong to him so he deserves nothing less than your everything. When it comes to Shigaraki, he will 110% encourage any kind of positive familial behavior. He raised Shigaraki in his own image, he would be quite alright with the unstable man seeing you as a motherly figure.

Shig is being tortured...and I ask here why? I know it's to get afo...smth Shig never show interest before -at least we never saw it- I'm referring to why he is showing to being tortured. What is the point?

To draw parallels between afo and ofa? But Izu wasn't tortured nor am was so gleefully about it.

OK, Teach, the Shigi brain rot is real, but it led me to some questions.

He uses his Decay quirk with 5 fingers touching the object he wants destroyed, yes? Does his palm also have to be touching the object for his quirk to activate?

Does his quirk work on water? Like, is he able to wash his hands????

Or what about lotion? If you can convince him and help him to start taking better care of his body, would the lotion he puts on his hands disappear?

Speaking of lotion, I just imagine helping poor baby Shigi put lotion on his hands. Like you're so careful, doing one finger at a time and giving him a nice hand massage like they do at the salon for a manicure. He's so worried about the possibility of accidently using his quirk on you, but you assure him you'll be extra careful. Boy is head over heels and is a little flustered at the attention you're giving him. He can't manage to make eye contact with you for the next hour, but seeing the pink dusting on his cheeks and ears every time he glances your way is totally worth it

I'm not entirely sure, but I believe his palm doesn't have to be touching the object for his quirk to be activated, as long as his five fingers are in contact with said object.

And speaking of water, it is possible to decompose liquids of course, so water can be affected by Shiggy's quirk. And wether it means that he has a specific method of using water in his daily routine (like perhaps special gloves) or not, is unclear.

That being said, Shiggy is now in total control of his quirk, meaning that he's able to touch anything, same as the rest of us, without accidentally decaying it.

But wait! Let me just reread that adorable headcanon of yours one more time babe because you just gave me the fluffiest image of our boy! 😍

He is the symbol of fear, and he is able to destroy a whole city in a matter of minutes, but why are his guts twisting in both excitement and anxiety as he watches you carefully applying your hand lotion on him?

He's mesmerized by the cute smile adorning your face, and the contrast between your soft hydrated skin and the dry patches on his own, wondering if he even deserves to be touched by a perfect being such as yourself.

He is the head of a villain organisation, and for some reason, controlling his subjects and supporters has proven to be a lot easier than controlling the blush creeping up his cheeks everytime you decide to kiss his knuckles and give his hand a little assuring squeeze.

He's able to control his quirk, rendering it practical and perfect for his master plan to bring down the hero society, but at this moment, he wishes he didn't have it.

He hates the constant fear of accidentally decaying you, even though the likelihood of it happening is slim to none, but he just can't help it.

He loves you too much that he's willing to abandon everything and pick you instead..

Birthday Cake | ShigaDabi Ficlet

Warnings for cursing and little smooches🫶

“Don’t be a dipshit, we can’t save it,” Shigaraki says, disgust and disappointment lining every word.

Dabi groans and drags his hands down his face. They’ve been working on this since 5AM and it was already approaching lunch. Dabi was ready to burn down headquarters if he had to attempt a crumb coat one more time.

“Don’t be a little bitch about it. If we just mash it together we can save it. We can make it an oversized cake ball,” Dabi reasons.

They attempted to make Toga a cake with all of her favorite celebrities on it from scratch. However, icing cakes was a lot harder than it seemed. Especially for two people who spent their days stealing and killing in less than delicate ways.

Shigaraki crosses his arms and squints at Dabi “I’m playing both my boss and boyfriend cards. Fuck this shit. I’m going to the store and buying a sheet cake because the birthday girl deserves a pretty cake on her fucking birthday. Not a Frankenstein cake from hell.”

“Oh come on. You always play the boss and boyfriend cards. Get some fucking new ones.”

Dabi is just met with two middle fingers slowly creeping into his vision before Shigaraki turns on his heel and grabs his jacket.

“You’re coming with me.”

“Hell no. I’m going to try and fix the homemade cake we made with love ‘for the birthday girl on her birthday,’” Dabi leers. “I’m not some cheap ass sellout.”

Shigaraki stands tapping his foot for a moment as he looks up at the ceiling trying to collect himself. Dabi completely ignores the guttural groans and whines spilling from his boyfriend. After at least 30 seconds of Shigaraki sounding like he was being exorcised, he strides back over and pokes Dabi’s shoulder multiple times. While Dabi was upset with his boyfriend, he couldn’t bring himself to ignore him when he was specifically asking for his attention.

“You know I can’t drive,” Shigaraki mumbles.

“I know, love.”

“So drive me.”

Dabi stands up straight from his cake evaluation and turns to his boyfriend. He cups his cheek and runs his thumb over his cheekbones.

“Hell fucking no,” Dabi murmurs tenderly.

Shiggy tugs Dabi in closer and plays with the bottom of his shirt. “Mm, yeah but I’m not eating a cake you’ve squished together with your hands. There’d be skin flakes in it and I’m still not convinced you always wash your hands, so fuck off and drive me,” He says just above a whisper.

“You say that as if you've bathed recently you dirty ass fucker," Dabi says and leans down to press a kiss to Shiggy's cheek.

“But I’m your dirty ass fucker,” Shigaraki smiles, reaching up to brush his lips over Dabi’s.

“All mine,” Dabi mutters against his boyfriend’s lips before closing the fraction of space between them.

This is what they always did. Stubbornly fight and insult one another until they fell into a heated kiss. Yet Dabi found himself falling deeper in love with each argument. After years of submission and being the perfect pawn, his boyfriend had grown into himself and his own opinions and so had Dabi. So yeah, there was a side of him that kind of loved it when they fought.

“Oh ew! Over my cake?! Have some decency you horny bastards,” Toga hisses from the entryway to the kitchen.

“Happy birthday, you rat,” Dabi beams, moving over to crush Toga in a hug.

Shigaraki tugs Toga into a hug of her own and slips a card into her pocket. “Happy birthday, Toga. That cake is probably carrying 10 different infectious diseases, so let us take you out for donuts?”

“I’d love that boss! Better bring your boyf too, but no making out over my donuts.”

“No promises. I’m feeling very in love with him today. Let’s go,” Dabi says, pushing the two forward.

Shigaraki turns and slaps Dabi on the ass before sweetly pecking him on the lips. “I’m feeling very in love with you today too.”

the last year of my hero has been a very weird roller-coaster of things that bore me to death and things that grip me so intensely, like we just got a all might vs. all for one focus for what? 5 chapters?? and it was awful for me, the schtick of all might using the kids quirks was underwhelmingly executed and the melodrama between these two has NEVER interested me even back in the early days.

in general this seems like a weird conflict of interest that i have in general, most of the time the 'older generations' plotlines in anything disinterest me the most, so it's natural its happened here. but i dont know, it seems like this entire fight was just a blander rehash of all of what came before, made worse since, unlike in kamino ward, OTHER THINGS ARE HAPPENING

the am vs afo focus happens AFTER uraraka vs. toga which is a series highlight. and even other sequences in this war that lacked a series long build up was done in striking and moving ways; like jirou fighting all for one, or the big three fighting shigaraki, even shoji's shit which has gotten the shortest end of all the sticks made me feel something.

and then there's the things we've skipped or just aren't acknowledging; no updates on spinner at this point is insulting, and aoyama's fight being skipped pisses me off to all end, especially since it ended the way it did with such grotesque fanservice. i don't want to say that this fight shouldn't've happened since, i know hori has been developing all might for ages for the sake of this very fight... but man, that's all i want to say lol

at least it feels like this fight has finally culminated meaningfully and is interacted with other plotlines, so i'm gonna remain hopeful that it will turn around, and not feel like a waste of my precious, precious time.

speaking off, izuku vs. shigaraki, man i'm excited for this, shigaraki is still my favourite character and i've been waiting for these two for ages. bakugo coming back is a godsend i want that boy doing cool shit to make up for not doing anything in the series at all not saying characters need to be plot important to exist but i find it funny that dudebros will rag on sakura for being useless in her story but stan bakugo who literally doesnt do anything but go to school gets kidnapped and lose to shigaraki twice

speaking of izuku and bakugo, it'll be weird if they aren't the endgame ship right?? like in all seriousness i don't think it will happen i'm not insane but at this point, it feels worse than naruto and sasuke... like the story will just be better if izuku doesn't end up with anybody or he ends up with bakugo and i am actually being so serious i'm not joking

i not saying uraraka is bad, i love her, but even for her, not ending up with izuku seems like it would only strengthen her arc, by making for a more unique character that innovatively contributes to this story's themes of romanticization and admiration.

and more than anything else, this entire battle has just made me want to have the characters sit down and talk after the fallout, dabi, toga (SHE BETTER NOT BE DEAD HORIKOSHI YOU BITCH), spinner, and shiggy all deserve a happily ever after and i am very serious in saying everything here could be set up for a more elaborate second story

Yes I am, because of the reasons you mentioned. Shiggy is also a massmurderer and tried to kill izuku multible times by now. I really dont get the appeal for this ship and I dont get why people always ship izuku with his abusers or bad people. My boy deserves so much better then that.
