Angeltober 2023 Day 6 - Smoke

my programm crashed once while doign this one and it was a struggle to find the right colors i started with, but after struggling for half an hour it worked out x-x Anyway; I wanted to do a owl for this one as smke reminds me of the silent wings of an owl when it slides through the air, using the natural dots of the barn owl as eyes here, so there are lots and lots qwp the clouds were oddly relaxing to draw here -dairiem

LOVECRAFTOBER: DAY NINE: The Darkness, Magnum Tenebrosum

Affiliation: Court of Azathoth I did Nameless Mist so of COURSE doing the other sibling, The Darkness! Mist is Roman, Nya is Egyptian...so Darkness I went with Sumerian design for humanoid form. Whereas Mist never stops talking, Darkness never says a word and tends to just stand there and stare if they are in their humanoid form. It is rumored that Nyarlathotep invented the written scrawl of the outer gods for the sole purpose of having Darkness FINALLY communicate what they want. This did not work. Darkness likes to be unsettling and stand and stare. Or per usualy, stay in their shadowy cosmic form and stare. The eyes of The Darkness are made up of all the planets and stars they have consumed, a new eye for each new one absorbed. Much like Nameless Mist, they don't really interact with anyone beyond their siblings and Tru'Nembra. Mortals don't really catch their attention at all and they barely even acknowledge they have a spawn, Shub-Nigurath.

MAGNUS INSTITUTE GINGERBREAD HOUSE IS DONE AAAAAA

So my family has traditionally done gingerbread houses at thanksgiving and mine have gotten more intense and handmade every year. It is the math activity of the year for both geometry and candy budgeting at windco (I used some Halloween candy this year and had a little leaniency on the budget since I was making a big one)

Anyway I made the institute and I’m dying over here it was hard but it turned out really well!! It is so full of eyes and tape and my own childlike wonder, it’s amazing. I also want to make some of the characters into cookies to match (though it’ll likely be half eaten by them) so you’ll probably get to see that soon as well XD

Angeltober 2023 Day 11 - Be Not Afraid

What better animal to try and nto be afraid of than a Spider uwu? I dont have arachnophobia, but I still don't particulary like spiders, though i can appreciate some of their natural beauty. Just like this one, the mexican red knee tarantula. Although getting reference images still got me chills to my bones. Eight legs, Eight wings, many eyes, and i love how it turned out actually, designing the spider net with hidden eyes everywhere like the natural hole like texture tarantula webs have was so fun :D -dairiem
