When he first saw you, a non-believer, he knew something about you was

You were only staying there because you had been injured in a fight with a weird looking man. (It was a demon, but you didn't give two shits)

You were constantly training to get better, so it was hard for him to find time to talk to you. (Even though the other people there were telling you to chill out and rest.)

He then found an opportunity to talk to you when he saw you sitting down, lost in thought.

She was contemplating whether or not to pull an Eren Yeager and bite her arm when Douma popped out of nowhere.

He nodded. "You both are strong fighters."

Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she practically teleported in front of him, which amused and pleased him.

"REALLY?! CAN I MEET THIS GUY? I WANNA FIGHT HIM-"

He put a finger over her lips before speaking, causing her cheeks to heat up a bit.

"Unfortunately, my friend doesn't fight women."

He stated, causing her excitement to drop.

"You're joking. You're fucking joking."

She said, her eye twitching as he shook his head, clearly agitated as she spoke.

"What? Is he scared I'll kick his ass? Cause I will! I'll kick him straight in the-"

She felt his hand pat her head gently, causing her to stop talking and look up at him.

"You're quite the feisty one, darling~"

He chuckled, finding her behavior adorable.

Normally, this kind of treatment would have made her want strangle whoever was doing it, but this wasn't making her angry. In fact, she felt warm and fuzzy inside when he did this.

"I think you might be the strongest girl I've met!"

After that, you grew closer to him.

After you healed, it was actually you that said something first

It was clear to everyone there that you were his favorite , which made some people envy you enough to plot murder

Douma wasn't gonna let that slide, so he took care of them.

This definitely surprised him.

"How exactly did you find out?"

She pointed to her eyes while speaking.

"You have the Kanji for Upper Two in your eyes."

Despite him being a demon, she didn't feel scared, just curious.

This made him even happier, she didn't even care if he was a demon!

"So are you gonna answer my question or are you just gonna keep looking at me?"

She said jokingly, causing him to snap out of it and answer.

"Well, it's fun! Though, not being able to go out in the sun is a pain. But, that's just a side effect, really."

She nodded, listening to him talk before asking.

"Does blood taste different depending on the person?"

She asked, he nodded in response. She pointed to her arm and spoke again.

"Should I try biting my arm so I can taste my blood?"

Douma chuckled, she truly was a curious soul.

"I don't think that would be a good idea.."

"Then you try."

She spoke, pointing to her neck.

This made Doumas heart almost leap out of his chest with joy.

"Are you sure?"

He asked, she nodded in response to his question.

He moved closer to her and leaned down, biting her neck and sucking the blood.

"Mmph..~"

He felt his eyes widen as he looked at her. Did she just moan? A smile crept up on his face as he noticed her red face.

"Did you enjoy that?~"

Her cheeks heated up more as she spoke.

"S-So what if I did? It doesn't matt-"

She was cut off by another moan, he had nipped at her neck again.

He then whispered in her ear, sending pleasurable tingles through her body.

"Perhaps we should take this somewhere more..

hello hello hello! ヾ(•ω•`)o it’s me, casper, back with another fic rec list! kogagoshi is one of my all time favourite ships, so i’ve compiled some into this list!! there are, unfortunately, not many kogagoshi centric fics, so i thought this list might help my fellow kogagoshi shippers!!! feel free to add your own recs/recommend some to me !!!

He thought about their brushing hands and wide smiles. He thought about the feeling he got, something warm but aching, when he looked at Koganegawa Kanji. so cute :’). just goshiki being an amazing partner, and sad kogane. very good hurt/comfort. i normally see kogane comforting goshiki, so this was a nice change of pace, though i like both !!!

THIS. this is exactly how i imagine their dynamic. goshiki is so oblivious :’). kogane having fun with the pickup lines, as he should!! ‘shiki trying to figure out the pickup lines is hilarious. absolutely freaking adorable!!!

nickname by kogagoshi (g) 1,131 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- After training camp, Koganegawa exchanges emails with Goshiki (and gives him a nickname, too).

goshiki is flustered + panicking so hard, and i love him :’). i genuninely can’t tell if kogane is just dense, or intentionally teasing him. knowing him, it’s probably all of the above. just a cute, short little fic !!

There’s more to life than just volleyball, Tsutomu by WaterBear45 (t) 1,792 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, semishira] --- “I guess now you know why I didn’t come to practice.” “Um… I do?” Goshiki squeaked. Semi frowned pulling down his hood and revealing a collection of matching red marks on his neck. “Haven’t you seen a hickey before?” “Oh!” Goshiki’s hands spasmed at his sides, balling into fists. “Sure! Lots of times!”

this fic is?? so weird?? and i don’t know how to feel about it?? not in a bad way!! it’s just- you need to read it to understand what i mean <(＿　＿)>. i do genuinely reccomend it, though!!

**kogagoshi fics <3 by london_artfully (t) 4,271 words, 3 works/?, [kogagoshi, ushiten, minor semishira]

The Rather Unfortunate Circumstance of Goshiki Tsutomu by london_artfully (t) 2,919 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten, minor semishira] --- Shiratorizawa's third years know that Goshiki has a boyfriend... but Goshiki hasn't quite realized it himself. They feel the need to do something about this.

of angry birds and rainy days by london_artfully (g) 637 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- On a simple rainy day at Kogane's house after practice, Goshiki introduces his boyfriend to a certain mobile game.

breaking point by london_artfully (g) 715 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi] --- Goshiki wasn’t like Date Tech, an iron wall. He wasn’t unbreakable, and he broke far more often than one might think. Why did everything have to bother him so much?

i genuninely love this series so much, it is spectacular. all of the fics in it are amazing, and i sing nothing but praises. please, please, check these fics out.

🐸 **Scaredy Frogs by copyrightings (t) 4,835 words, 1/1, [tsukiyama, kyouhaba, kogagoshi] --- In a feeble attempt to find out which one is scarier, Koganegawa finds himself actually becoming good friends with the Sendai Frogs' most terrifying players, Tsukishima and Kyoutani. To be honest though, he doesn't even understand why people think they're scary in the first place until he meets their partners...

even though this isn’t strictly kogagoshi centric, i just HAD to include this. kogane POV fics are suprisingly rare?? so this was like a breath of fresh air. this fic is hilarious, and i adore it. the sendai frogs are all so whipped. please read this :’).

**Ankle Weights by sophie_scribblz (g) 3,150 words, 1/1, [kogagoshi, ushiten] --- How big of a crush can you develop on someone in less than a week, anyway? Not that he has a crush on someone, no, that would be dumb. He barely knows the guy; there’s no way he has a crush on him. Yeah.

But then there’s the heart fluttering and there’s the weak knees and oh, for the first time he wants someone else’s mouth on his and it all seems so appealing all of the sudden— but that’s dumb, because he barely knows the guy.

He’s a little silly, Tsutomu supposes, the guy he likes. Tall, with about four times the amount of enthusiasm you’d think should be able to fit inside his body. Clumsy, but in a charming sort of puppy-dog way that makes you want to pat his head and tell him he did a good job.

But then there’s his laugh, the way his eyes squeeze shut and this sound that embodies his joy bursts forth, bright and loud, just like everything else about him does. There’s his drive to be better, the fact that every time his upperclassmen told him he was hopeless, it only made him want to practice more. His generosity, his passion, his never ending kindness. And he gives the warmest hugs.

(Sure, his hair is a little silly but Tsutomu will let that one slide)

i don’t really know how to describe my love for this fic but,,, they are so sweet, and soft, and i love them (and this fic) so much.

Is he flirting with him, or is it just wishful thinking? Maybe a series of awkward conversations and loving gestures will help him find out.

this one’s a lot longer than all the other recs, but it’s real good!! the first one is an outsider pov from lev, and the second one is just a normal fic from goshiki pov. it’s just all very soft and silly. they’re both dense, and it’s quite cute :)

there’s a sort of word play / trickery on her stage name, intentional by both herself and the company. the common kanji spelling of ai is 愛 — which means love, affection, and fondness. so that’s what most people will think when hearing her name, but it was decided for her to use 哀 — meaning sorrow, grief, and lamentation. the latter feeding into the lore / overall concept of femme fatale.

is super close with her sister, the two of them post tiktok challenges together whenever her sister visits or the group has scheduled in japan.

both the members and fans consider her the ' mom of the group ' for how she takes care of the group ( making sure they eat, sleep, etc ) and even doing the same for fans.

often frightens members, friends, and staff alike due to how silent her footsteps are, making it seemingly appear that she’s popped up out of nowhere.

she was the last member to be revealed and had the shortest trainee period amongst the members.

i. kokoro was born into a family that had consisted of three, excitedly ready to expand into four. unfortunately, they remained at three when her mother passed shortly after kokoro’s birth due to a complication. while she knew she couldn’t be to blame, it never stopped kokoro from feeling guilty for being born in the first place — something she continuously carries on her shoulders.

regardless, her father and older sister made sure she was raised with a lot of love and care — even when her father still can’t look at her in the face due to her resemblance to his deceased wife.

ii. she has always admired her sister, mio, and even looked up to her. there’s just something so bright, charming, and welcoming about her. she supposed that it only made sense for her sister to go down the path of shining on stage as an idol herself and captivating the hearts of millions. kororo wanted to do that, to be just like her.

iii. kokoro started her journey of fame and winning the hearts of others amidst her childhood years as an actress, with the encouragement of her elder sister and the paid acting classes of her father. it was through this time that she was also put into vocal and dance lessons, keeping her busy on top of her picked-up acting gigs and schooling.

somehow, in addition of it all, kokoro made the time to be an active member of her drama club when it came along in her school years.

iv. becoming a member of femme fatale was unexpected, but she views it as fate. she was on vacation with her sister ( a rare occurrence given their work ) in korea when she auditioned. it was for fun, multiple companies scouting for talent together. she just wanted to indulge in the process of becoming an idol, like her sister is in japan — but she never expected to receive a phone call to notify her that she passed onto the next round.

Hello Mr. Jade Prideoftheline, you may be reconized me as @Susan363 who's often posting hcs, incorrect quotes and ideas on Olivia's blog. I send this message to you because I wanted to say that I really adored your Anpanman oc, Kaitojishaku. Despite not knowing much about him, I can see that he's a very funny character, and the idea that he and Horrorman are just a "dumb@sses in love" couple? Mwah! Chef kiss. 💋🤌

I really wanted to know more about Kaito, I would like to resquest that you put on his design, I know that he is suppose to be a magnet but I can only picture his head as a U size magnet. I hope that this isn't much to ask!

Oh yes yes of course! I can give a whole damn infodump about good ol' Kaito!

For posterity's sake, though, I'm slappin' this under a readmore. This is a long dang infodump!

Name: Kaitojishaku... or, that's their alias as a thief. Their real name is... last name Jishaku, given name Kaito. How creative. However, each "Kaito" is spelled differently in Japanese. The "Kaito" in their alias means "phantom thief" and the "Kaito" in their actual name is spelled in the way a given name might be spelled. Different kanji.

Pronouns: he/she/they. Albeit I think they'd be open to more. In Japanese, I think they'd tend toward the neutral and formal watashi for their "I" pronoun, just to amp up their dramatic phantom thief vibes.

Kaitojishaku was conceptualized to fill in a niche I didn't think was filled in the Anpanman 'verse: a gentleman thief/phantom thief archetype!

And of course, what's better at grabbing shiny things than a magnet? So, Kaitojishaku was born! And I started by making them the very fun flavor of morally grey that the Anpan-verse tends to lack. It's very black-and-white there, so I thought, let's throw some well-intentioned light grey in there!

Now onto design. Here is the very first piece of Kaito art, I'd say circa... August o' 2022?

Their design has changed a little since then due to interpretations from my good pal @olivias-hyperfixation-corner. Olivia interpreted their thiefy mask as cat-eye glasses, and I loved the thought of these being sorta... both! Kaito's metal body that isn't made of magnets and just metal got reinterpreted into a turtleneck sweater. So they just... kinda don't wear pants, ig.

But I did once draw them in an alternate outfit to show further limb motion and further establish their disproportionately long arms as intentional!

Oh, and their eyeshadow(?) changed a bit.

Kaito's two-tone design was definitely inspired by ENA.

Now, onto lore!

Kaitojishaku was created by a smithing fairy (think about how Uncle Jam is a baker and a fairy) named Anvil in a steampunky city that'd be a solid sleeper train's trip away from the main town in the show.

She was given two powerful gifts by Anvil. One was a jacket filled with pockets upon pockets. He can basically cartoonishly pull larger objects outta 'em. Bag of holding style.

The other gift he was given was a staff/cane of sorts in order to help him push off from any metal surfaces he encountered, but he didn't really seem to get it, instead getting frustrated with the world around him being something he just kept getting stuck to.

She left in the night, climbing up a nearby mountain as a thunderstorm raged. Yelling to the heavens on a cliffside, they were struck by lightning.

They fell down the cliff. For months, they were just... dead. In pieces. Magnet bits. All that was found of them when the town looked for them was their cane.

But... THEY LIVED. Kaito's pieces clicked themselves back together, but when they came to, their memory was scrambled, only a vague visage of a shiny city left in their thoughts alongside their name.

Their first place of residence was an abandoned baikin-lair they turned into a bunker of sorts. They decided with their name and their tendency toward shiny things, their purpose in life must be stealing. So, that's their thing for a little bit. Until it starts upsetting people. So now their thing is stealing and then immediately giving it back if they weren't supposed to take it.

Their first encounter with Anpanman involves her just grabbing a piece of his head very casually, and then when Anpanman's rightfully confused and distraught, she's just all "oh, did ya want that back? Sorry, here ya go." And then she just presses on. Anpanman says something along the lines of "How strange... nobody else just takes like that except... Baikinman."

Upon hearing this name, Kaito decides that this Baikinman fellow is worth meeting. A fellow thief! They make their way to the Baikincastle and introduce themself to both Dokinchan and Baikinman. Baikinman tells Kaito of his plots against Anpanman, and Kaito thinks it's all in good fun, so he agrees to help. He wants Kaito to go steal an anpan head so he can screw it up and replace Anpanman's head with it.

Kaito proceeds to leave and take WAYYYY too long at the bakery just having pleasant conversation with the bakery gang. They even end up politely asking to take some bread with them!

And they do! Off they go sneaking an entire head of anpan and not sneaking some additional bread for their new friends Baikinman and Dokinchan!

By the time they get back, it's been hours. Horrorman now pops in calling to Baikinman and Dokinchan because he made lunch and he's the only competent cook in this house, before he goes "oh, who's this, hora?"

And then Horrorman and Kaitojishaku hit it off immediately. Horrorman's willing to be nice to literally anyone and go with their plans until it turns out That's Bad and Kaitojishaku is willing to steal from literally anyone until it turns out That's Bad. They've a lot in common in that way, lol. This Is Relevant Later.

Baikinman baikinsciences the anpan head into a messed up one. He lures the bakery gang out and gets Dokinchan and Horrorman to guard all the entrances so Anpanman can't get a new head.

But this Messed Up And Evil Head is... not working as intended. It kinda just gives Anpanman an existential crisis. It was supposed to, y'know, make him evil for a bit, maybe.

Kaito realizes, hey, wait, that's just a dick move! Ain't that, like, psychological torture. So, time for a bit of counterstealing!

They go to the back door and... just ask Horrorman to let them in, because they need a favor. And "every good thief has a few accomplices!"

So he does. And Kaito gets a new anpan head! But Dokinchan notices and tries to put a stop to this. And her and Horrorman bicker a bit over this before Kaito throws a smoke bomb and with their epic phantom thief skills, scurries off.

They replace Anpanman's head after asking a very "distracted with trying to figure out how to improvise an anpan head" Jam and Batako if they would rather do the honors (and is ignored because they're absolutely frantic rn), they chuck the head onto Anpanman, typical genki hyakubai, anpunch, baibaikin.

Things calm down, and Anpanman says they really don't have to steal.

But Kaito argues that it's his purpose in life.

Anpanman says it doesn't have to be.

Kaito just asks why Baikinman is allowed to have his purpose be defeating Anpanman, if that's the case.

The truth is, Anpanman thinks Baikinman's too dead-set, but Kaitojishaku seems more receptive to change.

But Kaito's not ready just yet. They say that maybe their stealint will benefit everyone next time, and with another smoke bomb, they disappear.

Then the Hoshi story ensues! You've already seen that, but I'll link it for everyone else reading.

During that, Kaito has resolved to their new "stealing with permission, mostly" outlook, such as... "stealing" free samples. Or rocks off the ground. Or Hoshi back from Baikinman.

After that, there's the plotlines Olivia mentioned such as sleepovers, but I also have plans for another plot where Kaito meets their maker - literally! In Anpanman movie fashion, heheh. Good things happen there, worry not.

Oh. And I forgot Kaito's houseboat. Alongside their bunker, they have a houseboat they found abandoned and took up after realizing how big the world is. They name it the Kaito Go after the Anpanman Go, but, Sailorkun tells them most boats usually have SS before their name... so now it's the SS Kaito Go. It's just a tidy little vintage houseboat. Cozy!

But lastly, let me talk about their personality. Kaito tries to be very cool and sneaky and stylish, but they're also just silly at times. Their magnet hands will get stuck to their magnet body, for example. They have a knack for dramatics and tend to be very bombastic and energetic. But they also have a more caring, calmer side. That's the side that tends to get philisophical and all that. And in truth, they're more naive than one might think. They were created an adult, but barely had anyone to teach them... a lot, really. they don't have the basics down. They have random strings of advanced concepts known, though, so it's a big ol' scramble of things.

Kaito tries their best, honestly, and they don't mean harm. But they do wanna go grab loot and break into places and look cool doing it. And who can blame 'em?

So, that's Kaito.

In the midst of all the discussion on Kyojuro's name, I mentioned that the "ru" in Ruka's name (瑠) means lapis lazuli (in Japanese, "ruri" 瑠璃), or even general reference to a deep blue color, hence why her name can be interpreted as "blue flame." Worth noting, the word 瑠璃 has Sanskrit origins, and although it may had been applied to other deep blue stones throughout its history (or to other glassy, glossy, polished objects), it is considered on of the "Seven Treasures" in Buddhism, and you hear it referenced a lot in Japan Buddhism and temple names.

So why do I bring that up? Because despite the relatively uncommon use of these kanji for anything besides lapis lazuli, there's a character who uses 璃: Mitsuri.

We can actually glean a lot from her very, very sweet name:

甘露寺: "甘露 Kanro" is "Sweetness" (in Japanese Buddhism, this is considered a virtue, perhaps you could think of it more like a heavenly sweetness than a gluttonous one) and "寺 ji" ((Buddhist) Temple). Rather than looking at this and thinking "wow, her family is so Buddhist" you could look at it and think "wow, they're probably pretty well-off." It's a wide generalization, but surnames which are also temple names imply that the family was long a (presumably wealthy) patron of the temple, and it carries a high class ring to it.

There are actually quite a few Kanro-ji Temples throughout Japan. One in Wakayama Prefecture embraced that for a short time last year by installing a "love pillar" display, sprinkling little cat references throughout, setting up a cosplay corner (note: there can be a lot of restrictions on public cosplay in Japan), and even turning the local train station sign to a pink and green fade and selling extra love fortunes there. It looked fun to go visit. But did I? No, because I did not hear of it until it was over. I was very sad. EDIT: Although there is no longer an official event, I have now visited that temple and nearby still-decorated train station.

Anyway, besides this implication about being from a wealthy family (her kimono and what was presumably the family garden already implied that), Mitsuri is from a happening downtown shopping area with lots of fun cultural amusements. It had to have been comfortable. But, finding a place she belonged meant enough to her that she willingly left all those comforts behind. I love this girl.

蜜璃: "Mitsu 蜜" is honey, combined with the aforementioned "ri(璃)" as opposed to any of the plethora of more commonly used "ri" kanji in girls' names.

We learn in the Pillar Training arc that Mitsuri raises bees to make her own honey to put on pancakes. I have to wonder if this was her personal hobby or the whole family's hobby which existed before she was born. Side note, besides Mitsuri's four cats which she's told Obanai all about and the pet rabbit the first fanbook mentions her having, this means she's got even more fuzzy little creatures to care about. Plus, this gives both the lady Pillars a direct connection to insects and I find this kind of adorable.

That takes us back to this "璃" which is pretty much always found with "瑠" and in reference to a deep blue stone. "But wait!!" you might think, "this is our lovely cherry blossom motif girl, her colors are very strongly NOT a deep dark blue! What gives?"

And for that, we have to divorce 璃 from its usual blue partner, and recognize that this kanji can indeed be used in combination with other gem and stone related kanji, denoting a quality like crystal, like glass, like something polished and glimmery and shiny.

She wasn't named for the sweetness of honey, but named more for being like a glistening bright bead of beautiful honey.

As happy as I am to stop there, I'm also happy to get a little more imaginative, especially since names can go super deep. 璃 in generally in reference to a stone that can be polished to become shimmering and bright, and some naming websites suggest this is in reference to polishing one's innate talents, which Mitsuri totally did.

To take this on a shakier limb, when 瑠璃 is used in modern Japanese Buddhism, you may hear it in reference to the Pure Land, or in reference to Yakushi Nyorai, whom people seek aid from for medicinal healing. Honey, valued for its purity, also has medicinal purposes, especially in fighting bacteria.

Since many Japanese demon legends are thought to be more broadly about humans trying to fight disease (and cultural analysts love to point out that this may be part of KnY's success in a pandemic), it's kind of poetic that Mitsuri's bright, pure presence would be something to ward away the threat of demons.

But also very sweet, @i-bring-crack and I had to wonder if Kyojuro learned her name and thought of his mother.

- of course, it’s your idea. he’s confused, but excited that you’re excited so he goes along with it. he’d like to play it with multiple people so it’s not just him shooting you over and over.

- has the shyest little grin on his face the entire time. his eyes are all lit up with excitement. he apologizes perfusely when he hits you, but he’s got this cheeky little smile on his face the entire time.

- it’s so fun to see this normally reserved man come out of his shell and embrace his competitive side. especially when it’s been so many years since he’s been on a team, letting lose and trying to win something gets his blood pumping and he can’t stop himself from giggling and running around. definitely jumps over a fence or table or car or something at some point and everyone is so shocked at how smooth it was that the game has to be paused.

- like i said he feels bad every. time. he shoots you. every time. he got you in the face once on accident and he rushed over asking if you were okay and if you needing anything and insisting that he was sorry. you, of course, proceeded to shoot him.

- adorable, but very easy to target. he never hides or anything so it’s pretty easy to get him in the abdomen or thigh at all times. somehow is always surprised.

yaku morisuke

- oh god he’s competitive. good luck. i salute you if you manage to survive.

- if you think you’re going to get through this without hearing the phrase “it’s nerf or nothing” at least thirty times, you’re incredibly mistaken. he’s going to be annoying about it, and it’s going to be great.

- will headshot you. no hesitation. then he’ll feel bad about it and come over to console and kiss you. but while he’s close he shoots you in the side and tells you he got you before running away.

- will summersault and jump to avoid you. a little too good at dodging that tiny of a bullet.

- the game never truly ends. just when you think it has, he comes out of nowhere on a date and one shots you with a little nerf gun pistol.

oikawa tooru

- competitive drama queen

- the idiot will challenge you to a death match and trash talk up a storm, but then he gets shot and he jumps and shrieks.

- king of “you almost shot me in the face!” when you were nowhere near him. he’s just a sore loser.

- tries to rope other friends into doing it, but that is a mistake. to his horror, all of you end up hanging up on him and he spends most of the game swiping away bullets that get a little close to his face.

- petty. if you hit him, he has to hit you twice. think you’ve escaped? no. even while the game is winding down he shoots you in the back at every opportunity.

- either awful aim or fantastic aim. i can’t really decide which. either never hits you and shoots like three feet to the side, or nails you exactly where he wants to every time.

koganegawa kanji

- idiot

- literally just forgets how to work the gun sometimes so he goes to shoot you it makes a weird clicking noise and he looks down at it with a frown on his face.

- very sweet. will randomly kiss you on the cheek or nose and shoot you in the side, but always follows it with another kiss.

- if you play with other people, he’s the best teammate. not because he’s good at the game, because he’s most certainly not, but he’s so giggly and protective of you that you can’t help but enjoy yourself. definitely has you press your back to his so you can both “see everything” and gun down anyone that gets too close, but he ends up ducking when someone shoots at him and you get hit in the back.

-somehow gets a bruise? from a nerf gun bullet? how does that even happen? one time he walks away with a fat lip and neither of you can figure out what the hell happened. he’s not happy about it but he thinks it’s funny, especially when it swells up and changes the way he speaks for a few hours.

I Like It

"English is hard..." Jyushimatsu huffs out with his cheek pressed against his study book. Two hours ago you both laid out your textbooks and study guides with the earnest wish to communicate better.

You're only a N3 in terms of Japanese proficiency which is good enough for regular degular conversations but there's a LOT of room for improvement. Sometimes you find yourself deeply out of your depths when you need to exchange written communication.

"Kanji is hard too..." You sigh in return with your head making a loud thunk on the table.

"Let's give up for now." You suggest and Jyushimatsu nods in agreement, "This sort of effort isn't worth it for dummies like us."

You wanna argue with that statement but fundamentally it's true. "Maybe I should have invited you somewhere more fun." The library's children section would have been a little bit more exciting to read in but as two adults with no kid in sight you didn't think that'd fly despite Jyushimatsu saying otherwise.

"This is fun!" Jyushimatsu shakes his had like a doused puppy until you grimace at his obvious lie. "Well... Maybe it could have been a little bit more fun." Jyushimatsu mutters after seeing your expression.

"I know, I know! There's a way for us to both practice reading in each other's language!!" Jyushimatsu shouts, hopping to his feet. "Let's go, let's go!"

Before he could even be shushed by the other evening patrons in the library Jyushimatsu had grabbed your hand and pulled you outside. The lighting change burned your eyes when you saw the bright orange setting sun.

"Where are we going?!" You yell mid run only for your boyfriend to laugh innocently, "You'll see, just wait!"

After ten minutes of being lead in every direction but the right one you finally find your destination.

"Karaoke?" You ask and Jyushimatsu vigorously nods. "Yeah! This one has English and Japanese songs, see!" Jyushimatsu taps on a brochure he pulled from his sleeves. Where'd he get that?

There's another blur of activities except for one moment where you and Jyushimatsu have to add all your money together. There goes your last few yen. Time jumps forward once more after that little stopgap and suddenly you're in a karaoke booth.

Jyushimatsu is cheering while you look around and see you're going first.

"Whooo! Sing, sing!" Jyushimatsu encourages you shaking a tambourine in both hands.

"What should I sing?" You ask through your giggles, "I dunno! Just make sure you can read the lyrics!" You nod and give Jyushimatsu your coolest thumbs up. Your boyfriend sputters and you know it's because he finds you lame.

It only takes a few moments to choose your song. Everyone knows Ue o Muite Aruko.

"That's so old and sad!" Jyushimatsu cheers when the jaunty tune begins but shouts 'muscle hustle' along with you the best he can. Each pause has his tambourines filling the absence left from your voice.

There's a few lines you stumble over trying to read along with but Jyushimatsu always cheers you on. When the whistle solo begins Jyushimatsu shakes the tambourines and hypes you up to finish.

When the song ends you're super happy and embarrassed by Jyushimatsu's enthusiasm.

"My turn, my turn!" Jyushimatsu rushes to replace you and seems to know exactly what song to pick.

When the instrumentals play you feel a rush of nostalgia because that's the song your Grandma used to bump on the way home from school! Suddenly you're reminded of a little 1993 station wagon, sunny afternoons and the smile on your Mama's face when she'd say 'That's my song!'

"I've been thinkin about you!" Jyushimatsu points at you adorably with his sleeved hand.

"For quite a while!" You play the maracas in between his pauses and mouth along like every word has been ingrained in your soul.

"You're on my mind every day and every night! My every thought is you,"

You cheer loudly and feel the heat rush to your face because this is so corny! How'd he even know?! "The things you dooo, feel so satisfying to me I must confess it girl!"

Jyushimatsu's English has just as thick of an accent as your Japanese - switching from a tonal language to one without is so hard. But he sounds so SO sweet! All you can see are tulips and sunflowers while he sings to you with a honey warm voice.

Quickly a flap of his arms motion for you to sing along with the next line and you were gonna do it without thinking, "Ooooh and I like it!"

Jyushimatsu somehow makes a trumpet sound with his sleeve and the mic which makes you shout excitedly. "You send chills up my spine every tiime I get one look at you!" With theatrics in mind Jyushimatsu mimes being electrocuted.

The song continues with that sort of energy after the bridge until the next verse - your favorite. You're on the edge of your seat thinking how Jyushimatsu might sing this line because in the version you were used to El DeBarge had your little nine year old heart throbbing with emotions too grown for your body.

"Girl let me run this by you," Your heart drops, "Just one more time!" Jyushimatsu sings with a wink and yeah you're dead.

You weakly shaking the tambourine because if you put anymore energy than that you will die in real life reality because it's all SO cute! "You're on my mind everyday and every night!"

"Jyushimatsu!!" You end up cheering loudly, "I love you!"

Your boyfriend nods happily and continues singing, "My every thought is you! The way you do seems so satisfying to me, I must confess it girl!"

Once the song finishes you jump to your feet and give Jyushimatsu a standing ovation. "Heheh... Thank you." Jyushimatsu says rubbing his neck bashfully. "But praise me more."

You rush over and give your boyfriend a million kisses on the cheeks, "You sounded so amazing, when did you learn that song for me?!"

"Eight years ago!" You pull back and give him a blank smile. "Eight?"

"Yeah, eight years ago. I saw it on my fortune one day."

You know better than to ask more info but you're dying to know what this means.

"Your daily fortune said learn I Like It by DeBarge five years before we met... Why did you listen?" You ask with mirth.

"Cuz I've been thinkin about you! For quite a while you're -!" You cut off you goofy ass boyfriend with another kiss.

A little while later you actually find Jyushimatsu's clipping of his fortune. It named him specifically and everything. It said something along the lines of, "Matsuno Jyushimatsu, Gemini! Learn this old English R&B song to get laid in the future!"

And you decide that's enough looking into your boyfriend's business, you'll let it slide since it was still a very cute memory.

Yuuka starts reading out what everyone had written about Wakana. It’s so funny how everyone says Wakana is cheerful, dorky and talkative while Yuuka is super calm and reserved, the perfect image of a Japanese woman XD

Q&A Corner: They are going super fast through the questions, sort of like a rapid fire Q&A. Will properly summarise everything later when the archived video is available. Ah, I see, now that it’s done they discuss their answers in a relaxed manner. #1: Do you have a relaxed personality or are you hotheaded? They have so much fun that they decide to go a second round XD They were in tears by the end of it because they were laughing so much. Wakana came up with some very weird proposals :P

Goods Introduction Corner The long-sleeved shirts with the embroidery are so cute. I don’t know which colour to buy, both are adorable! I might have to buy both. Ohhhh, the stolas/scarfs are huge, did not expect that. Definitely getting the pamphlet/stola set with the red one. Oh boy, that plate really IS VERY yellow, thought the image was a bit misleading. Might be the only item I am not getting XD

Demon Outfits Discussed

The wait is over :) thank you for your patience and all the lovely comments on the casual discussion!!

I feel like it got longer this time, so I hope it’s all an enjoyable read! Also, I apologize for the ugly pictures--it was the easiest and fastest way to both have all the design in one image and also prevent it from stretching so far.

Like last time, please don’t take this too seriously; we love these boys and Justin doesn’t know them but has no grudges against them. We’re just harping on their fashion sense. Absolutely no hate is intended towards the boys or the design team!

Participants in the discussion were

Jo ( @jodaneko ), our art major with storyboarding/character design experience, who finds they have more in common with Satan each passing day.

Justin ( @justinlester0629 ), our fashion expert, who dressed up and filled a wine glass with water for the occasion.

Noodle (Me), our untrained eye who owns the Barbie as the Island Princess video game on three different platforms. It’s not even that good.

Featuring emergency guest star Megan ( @maggo77 ), my sister who is physically near me as we look at the backs of their designs for the first time.

Edit: Distracted by the pretty jacket, we made a mistake when putting in Levi’s silhouette rating. It’s the worst. 2/10, not 6.

Jo has realized that based on both outfits, Lucifer doesn’t want people looking at his butt. Possible reasons are: he doesn’t have one, or Diavolo someone was getting distracted.

His shoes match his outfit. After last time that’s all I care about.

A triple popped color, and how many layers is the middle one? Is that a book? Dude has like 27 collars.

The forehead diamond is very important and it’s great that there are diamond buttons to match it. But uh. How about those red diamonds on his sleeves. They. They sure are there. (I actually like the red accents and that they match his gloves; I just can’t take the diamonds seriously.)

Lucifer 🤝 Some Horses Diamond on the Forehead

The peacock motif is HERE and we’re all living for it. HOWEVER, the feathers on the cape and coattails should have matched, OR there should have been more lime green because there’s so little of that color.

The pants have a pleat in the front, which Justin says means he responsibly irons his clothes, and Jo says only heightens the fact that under the capes this is a marching uniform.

Can he fly? Jo says these are baby wings that can’t support his weight, and his cape has a hole for the top pair but blocks the bottom pair? Can’t believe Lucifer handicapped himself for the sake of fashion.

The whole thing does amazing with only three colors. We’ve noticed the trend of black and white + one color, but I mean hey. It’s working so far.

Damn those pants sit low. No wonder literally all of you wear belts.

The leather jacket? The studs and harness? Bless. Justin calls it “the perfect blend of stylish and ‘I’ll see you tonight *wink*’”.

Kind of don’t like how the belts connect to the pants, though. It looks better in the back.

“He found a really cool jacket, but it didn’t pair with anything so he just didn’t wear anything.” —Jo

Honestly though? We’ve all made fun of Mammon for having big hoe energy in his outfits, but like, he knew he had wings and planned his outfit to accommodate for that. He’s the only one who didn’t cut holes in his outfit. Maybe Mammon was the smallest hoe after all.

Also if there’s a motif it repeats elsewhere, like the studs and diamonds on his jacket and pants. Did he and Lucifer have a “tastefully putting diamonds on my outfit” battle? Because Mammon definitely won.

One of the charms broke off the belt loop and he never bothered to replace it, and honestly thank god there isn’t two of those anymore.

Torn between wishing the boots were tighter to match the rest of the outfit and saying “yoooo they’re open in the back!!!”

Ok so so far we’ve said generally only good things, but there is one major issue with the design: Its gravity. Everything points down, his tattoos, the diamonds, even his wings. The center of gravity in the image is his shoes. Bitch loved his shoes so much he made his whole outfit point to them.

Either way this was universally considered the best and I mourn Justin who doesn’t know how far Mammon’s standards are gonna fall from here.

He looks like an e-boy.

Honestly it looks like he borrowed something from Justin’s wardrobe for Pride but he didn’t know how to put it on.

APPARENTLY the biggest hoe. Abs that he shouldn’t have coming through a mesh t-shirt. I thought Mammon’s pants were low, but Levi’s whole-ass ass is out. Ok Levi, I see you.

The shirt pattern is good but he probably leaves it partially unzipped because it’d look really dumb fully closed.

Justin loves the funky pants pattern and Jo likes the pants but not with the outfit. It’s because the devs were too coward to give him a thick tail base so his pants had to fill that role by sharing the pattern.

The shoes are good, and not just because they incited Justin’s deep-set hatred for Christian Louboutin and his uncomfortable red-bottom shoes.

Justin is offended that he’s hiding his suspenders; either show them completely or not at all, no in between. Jo’s not fully convinced it isn’t just one suspender. What are his suspenders doing? What are they attached to? Are they holding anything up? Apparently not.

Jo pointed out that if you squint the belt on his waist looks like fangs and the orange dots on his sleeves looks like eyes so it’s like theres a snake head on his outfit. Cute!

The gloves are throwing us off though. Why is Levi of all other brothers need gloves? I bet he has sweaty hands.

Ok really, does his sweater unzip all the way into two pieces? Or does it hang by that tiny thread underneath the tail hole? There’s even a button, just in case.

Can’t believe this antler-sporting, suspender-wasting nerd went diagonal zipper on us because we beat him at a trivia game. Should have just zipped his hood.

Satan:

First of all, he’s straight up wearing Lucifer’s casual shirt. Does it only button down the back? Can he take it off?

Then he spilled bleach on his pants. Like I get what they were going for but with the white on black that is literally just bleach stains.

Incredibly differing opinions on the belt. He got it in the cowboy department. Justin adores it. Jo despises it.

And are those… athletic slip ons?

And now the elephant in the room. The ribcage made of ribbons. The ribboncage. The idea is great! I love that they gave him a skeletal theme without throwing him into a Hot Topic.

But if you take the ribboncage and feather boa off he’s literally just wearing a dress shirt and some nice jeans. And that’s the problem with Satan’s demon form. Not that it looks goofy. It’s that they took risks but then hid all the risks behind business casual.

Also Megan said that the back of the ribbons look like a rock climbing harness. Someone (probably Justin) said the front reminds them of the underbelly of a green cockroach. Ew.

The feather boa would look better if it was over something you wouldn’t literally wear at the office. (And also didn’t look so much like worm on a string.)

On a good note, loving how the tail fades to highly radioactive green. Feels dangerous. Megan pointed out that it’s a pretty wimpy tail, though. Jo enjoys the self-conscious posture it expresses.

That’s basically the only good thing we have to say, though.

Ok now with that out of the way, HONEY.

I’m sure he says that to others but I hope he says it to himself too when he looks in the mirror.

Starting with the good. The wings? Adorable. The heart-shaped hole to accommodate them? Adorable. One of the only good adjustments.

And I love that the tips of his horns look venomous, like a scorpion tail!

We love a good floral design and a good twin tailcoat.

But once again, the shirt just has too much going on. The flowers. The buttons. The brick-pattern stitching. The brooch. The long collar. The fact that if he closed the last button it’d end in a diamond covering his crotch. Sometimes less is more, Asmo.

That scorpion brooch is the best thing to ever grace my computer screen and it shouldn’t have to share the spotlight with the rest of his shirt. It should have wrapped around his arm and been paired with some more jewelry. Then he could have ditched those giant cuffs.

The bleeding heart tattoos are a really good idea! But they should have been angled better and not like someone else put them on at the roller rink. And maybe they shouldn’t have been outlined in pink. Those aren’t tattoos, those are gaping holes in his arm. Is he ok.

I’ve been avoiding the pants, but. The pants.

One side is buckled the ENTIRE way down, and then the other side is COMPLETELY plain. It’s too extreme on both ends. It should have been only half a leg of buckles. Not whatever this is. I still don’t think he can bend that leg.

The shoes are ok but they COULD have been a stiletto so.

Jo is DONE with these demons’ inability to wear socks.

We expected better from you, Asmo. I hope you have to fasten all those buckles every morning as retribution.

Beelzebub:

He said “how many belts can I wear on one outfit.”

Justin said it’s like Barry B. Benson and Post Malone had a beautiful baby boy, and Obey Me! is cancelled for creating a sequence of events that could lead to me hearing that with my own two ears.

The jacket? Stunning. “It’s steampunk mixed with Jack Sparrow, mixed with Billie Joe Armstrong,” says Justin. It’s got puffy sleeves! And there’s objectively too much going on with the jacket, but since it’s a leather jacket I can forgive it. Justin and Jo can’t.

I’m not sure why they keep giving him weird jacket collars but I prefer belt number 9 to fur.

“Why is it bucked in the back? Couldn’t it have just been a jacket?” —Megan

Good that the black tank isn’t only black, but he has so little color on his outfit that it would have been nice for it and the matching pattern on his boots to have been a color besides gray.

I don’t mind the belts down the leg because they’re not too in your face. Jo wants the white belt to be thinner. Justin wants him to just pick one and go with it.

Poor Beel, he can’t do his lil thigh pat pose without his right hand being assaulted by studs and that bear trap-shaped buckle.

Justin feels like the cowboy boots are too wide up top and it’s probably because they’re FAKE cowboy boots. I don’t know why he didn’t just get cowboy boots instead of putting fake coverings over his dress shoes.

Can’t fault the twin belt, though. And the wing hole isn’t terrible.

Idk I guess. They knew what they wanted to do at least.

That seems to be the pattern with Beel: they know what they want to do, but something weird happens in the middle of it.

Belphegor:

A toddler who just learned how to cut holes in paper got a hold of his hoodie.

Is it a hoodie? A jacket? A poncho? The cow print actually isn’t terrible. At least it had the decency to be unique in its spotting. And the actual presence of blue is very appreciated.

On the topic of colors, Jo is calling the devs out on their apparent fear of color. “Put the pink elsewhere, cowards,” they say.

We actually don’t hate the horseshoe, and using it for the belt buckles is actually really clever. Even if 75% of them are doing literally nothing. Feel like he didn’t need that many. Could do without the bottom one, maybe even bottom two.

There’s a teeeeny tiny cowbell on the back? Megan apparently finds that VERY important. Why do they go to such great lengths to remind us that Belphie’s a cow? Beel doesn’t rub his hands together 24/7. Mammon doesn’t even get bird wings.

Just like Satan spilled bleach, Belphie has tar pants.

It’s nice to see a change in pant style, but. Am I biased because I hate harem pants? Maybe. Are these harem pants too short on him? Yes. Maybe they were supposed to be parachute capris? But it just looks he outgrew them too fast and Lucifer won’t buy him new pants yet. At least they look comfy.

If he puts his keys in those pockets will his pants fall down? Probably. That’s a problem considering his are the only pants that look like they could hold any keys.

The shoes are fine. I can enjoy a high topped sneaker. …Is that a security tag? Did he steal his shoes. Belphie stole his shoes.

On the tiny tail hole, I appreciate that Belphie went for modesty. But I hope it’s impossible to wear these outfits outside of demon form because I don’t want him walking around with a tiny hole right above his ass.

Honestly he doesn’t even look like a demon? He just looks like… a cow.

There’s one more aspect of their demon forms that I didn’t feel comfortable forcing into a smaller space than it deserved: Silhouettes. Jo puts a lot of weight on silhouettes and their role in character design. Is it dynamic? Is it recognizable? Jo ranked them as such:

1. Lucifer: 9/10. Care and effort were put into this design and it shows. 2. Mammon: 7/10. Points deducted for most of it being form fitting but otherwise still manages to get a passing grade. 3 (tied). Beelzebub: 5/10. His wings have actual mass but his horns being mostly hidden by his head reduce his score. 3 (tied). Belphegor: 5/10. Evens out since his clothes aren’t as form fitting as the others but they also kind of turn him into a blob. 5. Asmodeus: 4/10, and only because he’s got multiple wings and that his tailcoat breaks up the bottom half. 6. Satan: 3/10, for the fact HIS BOA carries most of the work in altering his silhouette. 7. Leviathan: 2/10. The tail and horns prevent this from being a total flop.

Our (surprisingly unanimous!) ranking of their outfits (not counting Megan her opinions deviated) were:

Summary: How you and Hinata express the love languages of your relationship.

Notes: This is timeskip!Hinata, but it doesn’t really have any spoilers. More self-indulgence. This is different from my usual style, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to write. I tried to do all the love languages justice, but I feel like I had favoritism toward my own lmao

Physical Touch: There was a magnetic force that pulled you and Hinata together-a desire to constantly be connected even in the simplest of ways. Absentmindedly, when the two of you were close your bodies would find a way to reach each other: lazily intertwining fingers, brushing knuckles softly against lower backs, placing hands atop of thighs under tables, or lying forearms across the other’s lap to trace designs against sensitive skin. When Hinata brought you to ornate dinner parties his team was forced to attend you often doodled across his skin hidden by formal tablecloths while he humored stuffy partygoers in conversation-those that only spoke to him for his professional athlete status. You enjoyed how he’d smirk mid-conversation when you drew the kanji for love repeatedly on his wrist, admiring the goosebumps that appeared across his forearm at your featherlight touch. Your eyes would meet his amber stare, filled with adoration and love, and as your heart fluttered in your chest you could no longer imagine anyone else giving you this reaction.

Words of Affirmation: It was the early morning when confessions fell most frequently from your lips. As you leaned heavily against each other throughout your morning routine with sleep hanging desperately to your eyes. You would work together to create some semblance of a breakfast and words would come tumbling out as easy as a breath: when Hinata gifted you a steaming cup of coffee, when you handed him a spatula that was just a little out of reach, if you walked out of the bathroom with the scent of your favorite breakfast wafting through the air, when you rested your head against his broad shoulders, or even when Hinata’s brain defogged just enough for him to focus on your existence propped on the counter top watching him work. The timing was never consistent, but when the feelings came so did the words. Those filter-less moments, when it felt like only you two existed, were probably the best moments of your life.

Receiving Gifts: Sometimes you’ll be heading home from work and you’ll see something that is so blatantly Hinata you can’t help but buy it. For example, one night while walking home you spotted a random shop window and did a double take when staring back at you was an MSBY Hinata plushie. You nearly took out several people with your sudden sharp turn, but the way Hinata’s face lit up when you brought it home was well worth getting chewed out by a random old lady. In exchange, Hinata brings you gifts from every city his volleyball career takes him. He tries to make them as random as possible-last time presenting a pink elephant mug that said ‘#1 grand daughter’ while saying ‘I mean you are’. So, you hate when the bed has far too much empty space, but look forward to the ridiculousness that you can add to the shelves in your shared bedroom.

Quality Time: If there’s a volleyball game that Hinata wants to watch, whether for fun or to analyze a team he’d be playing soon, you almost always watch it. Often you curl up on the couch against his chest and relax to the rhythm of his heart as he explains the game in great detail to you-player’s movements, techniques, positions, and how that squares up to him and each player individually. You hum along, but rarely ask questions, knowing he was speaking for himself rather than actually desiring your response. You just enjoy hearing him speak so passionately about volleyball.

Likewise, when you sit cross-legged on the couch with dinner and rant excitedly to him about your latest obsession he listens to you with bright eyes. Sometimes he even surprises you the next day by casually bringing up he’d listened to whatever album, book-audiobook because Hinata and reading didn’t mix-or looked up the show you’d been talking about. He wants to learn what makes you happy and even if it’s not something he particularly enjoys he likes knowing what you’re talking about when you rant. You appreciate it more than he’ll ever know.

Acts of Service: There was an unspoken rule in your home that if someone had an obvious weight to their shoulders or their expression was near breaking, the other would pick up the household tasks. It didn’t matter the reason-annoying coworkers, family, or teammates; an abnormally heavy schedule; or Hinata’s game not going as planned-if you could make life a little easier for the other than that was the goal. It was the simple tasks like dishes, laundry, picking up groceries, and handling appointments that meant the world in those moments. You still remember the night that Hinata came home from a week long grueling tournament to see his favorite meal warm on the table. He paused before sluggishly dropping his bag on the ground and wrapping his arms around you for several long minutes. You stood there without speaking and let him feel whatever it was he needed until he kissed you on the top of the head in thanks. You both rarely spoke the thanks aloud in those moments of stress or irritation, but it showed in other ways-fingers intertwined under tables, touches far gentler than normal, or maybe one of you would find a sticky note or two hidden in your gym or lunch bag that held loving words. You both knew caring for each other was necessary for the other to be their best.

In the end, you never cared how your love was displayed as long as Hinata knew it existed, and that you had no plans of leaving any time soon.

There is a great before and after in her appearance, and even though she is not shown in her story (at the end of the card), there was the occasional change in her future.

The girl has oculocutaneous albinism, so her skin and hair are snow-white. Her hair, due to a small "situation", was long, straight and lifeless. Her hair almost touched her waist, and she basically managed to cover her view. She is now a cute short hairstyle down to the nape of hers, wavy and neat.

Her skin is very pale and fragile, although now she is somewhat better, before she was simply rough and damaged. She has several deep burns and scars on this one as well.

The young woman, despite not having very good eyesight, has beautiful eyes of a light blue color, somewhat grayish.

She has a mark on her right leg in the shape of a fox with several stars on it. It's a pretty special symbol, but she keeps it covered most of the time.

She usually did not wear clothes other than bandages to cover herself, although she still finds old clothes to wear, even though she was a little too big. Now, she got used to wearing light clothes that cover most of her body; like jeans, leggings, or long dresses with something underneath. She doesn't really like to wear short or see-through clothes.

⟅☙⟆ Personality ⟅☙⟆

Many think that she simply doesn't have any kind of emotion. Shoma never shows any kind of expression in public, she is shown with her face up and with a look so cold that she makes it true to her appearance. The young woman is too serious, and depending on the person, it is very difficult to get her out of her typical attitude.

Sho is an elegant little girl, and full of grace despite all her troubles. She will never be friendly enough in front of someone (again, it depends on the person), but she will also not feel uncomfortable or unwelcome unless that is the goal of the little one. Shoma knows that she is able to erase someone from the earth fas if she wishes, but she doesn't abuse that thought, you just have to be careful not to make her angry or touch her too much. It could be a big mistake.

Still, well ...

She is always alert, so it is very easy for her to get nervous or anxious most of the time.

She can also happen that she cannot do something right (she finds it very difficult to concentrate / think on several occasions, as well as sometimes she finds it difficult to understand what happens around her, etc). Still, it is something that doesn't happen as much as before, after leaving the aforementioned situation in which she found herself.

She is easily frustrated, and this happens when she recognizes that she has trouble thinking. It's very easy for her to cry or tear up in frustration (she doesn't do it in public, she refuses to do it, but that only makes it worse). Also, her coping strategy is simply not talking about her emotions and keeping a straight face all the time.

Still, and even though she very reluctantly accepted help, Sho is willing to change and improve (even if she has to go through hell first). She has shown to be too cunning for her age and to behave as if she were an adult, and even though she is slowly trying to behave according to her age, she is very difficult for her as well.

Anyway, Shoma can also be a girl who listens to others and is willing to do it regardless of the situation, and she is always there to be a shoulder on which one can cry. She also tends to have fun when she feels calm around her, being one of the few moments when she feels and acts like a young little girl.

⟣ She has a certain fascination for mathematics and literature, so it is normal to see her do either of the two when she is bored. The problem is when she has a hard time doing a difficult exercise.

⟣ She Likes to play decorating and decision-making video games. She likes to decorate and combine, so it is normal for her as a hobby to do the odd combination in video games, or in a room.

⟣ It may not count as a hobby, but Shoma loves to watch an episode of a series that she likes or a movie many times to imitate the lines, as if it were some kind of dubbing attempt.

She did not have a good relationship with him no matter how hard she tried at the time. It was too obvious the favoritism that he had with Yui, and how she always stayed in the shadow of the blonde. Despite trying to be like Yui, he could never have any kind of acceptance with her father.

⟣ Yui Komori, adoptive sister.

He adored her with her soul. Yui was Shoma's heroine, and she always tried to follow her example despite her unruly attitude as a child. The elder Komori was Shoma's world, and he simply wanted to be with her all the time.

Things have changed now. She can't even look at her. The disgust and hatred that he has for that now young woman is simply immense. And believe it when I say she tries; she tries too hard to forget so many things that caused this feeling, but she just can't.

⟣ Yvonne Beauchene, the right hand.

Shoma's only trusted person alongside her family. Yvonne was Shoma's guardian from the day he arrived at the church, although she had some problems because of it, and that is the reason why she had to leave, but surely nothing bad could happen, right?

⟅☙⟆ Likes ⟅☙⟆

⟣ Despite not having tasted it in recent years, she liked (and still remembers the taste of it, so she still likes) Yvonne's orange tarts a lot. She used to do them when Seiji was not at home for her, Yui and Shoma.

⟣ She loves music, especially the one that doesn't have any type of letter and is only a beautiful and hypnotizing melody. Her favorite, and also Yvonne's, is "The Vampire Masquerade", which is the melody which Yvonne met her husband.

⟣ Regarding the above, she usually daydreams many times with music in the background and she likes that (because the real world sucks and it is her only way out of the stress and anxiety that she feels most of the time). She sometimes even draws or paints those scenarios that are formed in her head.

⟣ As said before, she likes to play decorating and decision-making video games. Also, despite having the face of wanting some horror games (these make her heart race and sometimes she has panic attacks), she prefers Animal Crossing by a lot.

⟣ Loves snakes (which are not poisonous), cats and dogs. Snakes are very good company, and cats and dogs are responsible for keeping her calm.

⟅☙⟆ Dislikes ⟅☙⟆

⟣ Despite having been seen surviving based on it, she does not like meat very much. Of course, she can bear it, she even likes some (very few) meat dishes !, but there are certain types of meat that remind him too much of ... well, her own meat.

⟣ Obviously, she can't stand going to churches or things related to religion. She gets too anxious and nervous.

⟣ Her body and mind literally rejects any kind of physical affection if she doesn't know the person very well or doesn't trust them. It's no surprise, considering her personality. Very few people are lucky enough to even put a hand on her shoulder and not get hurt (Shoma doesn't do it on purpose).

⟣ Somniphobia: fear of sleeping.

Oneirophobia, somniphobia, clinophobia or hypnophobia is an irrational and excessive fear of the act of sleeping. People who suffer from it enter a state of panic caused by the fear that while they are sleeping something terrible will happen to them, such as the possibility of stopping breathing or that they will never wake up, even knowing that there is no threat, but they stay awake, presenting insomnia. In some cases, panic is unleashed by the belief that the dreams that will be had when sleeping are actually delusions and these will favor falling into a state of permanent madness. This type of phobia generates a great deal of stress and significant physical and mental deterioration, so it is not uncommon for many people to end up suffering from hallucinations, a fact that further aggravates this type of phobia: fear of sleeping.

Shoma cannot sleep because various things used to happen during these. She remembers well once a nun (then she disappeared without a trace) entered her room and hanged her, almost killing her if it weren't for Yui screaming for help.

⟣ Theophobia: fear of religion.

Theophobia is the fear or aversion to religion or the gods, and being more common among people who are raised in an environment of iron religiosity. Theophobia can express itself as fear, aversion, anger, or other negative emotion towards religious practices. In some cases, the theophobic representation can categorize the deity as an arbitrary totalitarian dictator or, conversely, as unworthy of worship.

It is common among people who suffer from theophobia to avoid religious texts, houses of worship (churches, mosques, synagogues ...) and even the parishioners of a religion.

The young woman lived in a church for years and was not treated as "a daughter of God", but as "an aberration of satan" by her father and certain nuns. She causes him so much fear that, if there really is a god, she has abandoned her for "not being worthy". Many things together caused this irrational fear of religion in general.

⟣ Hafephobia: fear of being touched.

Hafephobia is a specific phobic disorder (unlike agoraphobia or social phobia) that causes great suffering in the person who suffers from it.

It is an irrational fear of great intensity that manifests itself when the individual suffering from the phobia comes into physical contact with other people and is touched. It produces a series of cognitive, physiological or behavioral responses, among which extreme anxiety and the attempt to avoid the feared stimulus to reduce the unpleasant sensation stand out.

Shoma, of course, is working on this and for now she's doing very well, but if she's some stranger, she isn't going to allow herself to be touched or touched by another individual. She is so afraid that every touch will turn into a blow or something to harm her.

⟣ Atazagoraphobia: fear of forgetting.

Atazagoraphobia is the excessive fear of forgetting, which includes both the fear of forgetting and the fear of being forgotten or replaced by others. Shoma arrived at the doors of the Komori family church on May 22, 2001, with only a note that said "My name is Shoma, Mom and Dad can no longer take care of me," just three weeks after I was born. She was greeted by one of the local sisters, a favorite of the owner and leader of that church, Seiji Komori. The latter named was not on that cold night, with the snow falling slowly in that beautiful place, so the same sister took care of the girl in his absence.

A girl with blond hair and pink eyes like the petals of a cherry tree approached said sister, curious by the cries that began to be heard. Seeing her up close, and seeing that beautiful celestial gaze, the seven-year-old girl took the girl in her arms (with the permission of her sister), and did not leave her during that night until the next day. It was no surprise to the sister that her crying stopped as soon as the young Komori began to gently cradle her in her arms.

Still, from the moment Seiji arrived, he knew that something was wrong with the girl, that she was "not human", and that he probably knew whose "gift" it was. Shoma was unwelcome, and he couldn't show her that in public, not with Yui close to her. Also, the plan deviated. No, he isn't supposed to have two daughters, and she is supposed to be just one more orphan, but the young blonde girl already called her "Shoma Umi Komori", and that could be ... Something dangerous for him. Obviously, the orders for Shoma to come to his office were not long in coming as soon as he was two years old.

What Shoma saw in her supposed father's room was sealed in her mind, and nothing else. Every time Shoma was called to her father's office, her heart raced because she knew something bad was going to happen. Every time that happened it was because she Shoma found out more and more that she was going to happen to every sixteen, maybe seventeen-year-old on certain dates. It was because Shoma knew too much about her, and if he couldn't make her forget everything she had seen, then she would silence her to her grave. Every time Shoma gained courage and told Yui, she was scolded for inventing such things, and she would see her father again for "breaking her promise" to him.

The only one who managed to believe her is the same sister who received her the day Shoma arrived there, although that same sister would get a serious face everytime Sho told her that, she never had to see her father when she told Yvonne.

But, one day, Seiji went a bit far with the punishments, and let the fury just blind him, even if he didn't even regret it afterwards. Seeing Shoma talk to someone... Important, once this man left the church it just infuriated him. That man's smile when he stopped talking to her and saw him in the eye was not good news at all. That night, everyone heard the screams of a three-year-old girl resound throughout the establishment, and she was found in the middle of the hall with a desperate Seiji, saying that she had been playing with a poker and that she tripped, with it smacking part of her face.

Shoma began to startle every time someone moved near her, every time someone placed her hand on some part of her body, or when they called her, or when they approached her. She didn't separate from Yui or the sister she trusted so much, and even though it started to be annoying for Yui as she grew older, there were very few times when she was really rude to Shoma due to the fatigue of having her on her back every day three seconds, but they just didn't help Shoma with her fear of being alone, either with Seiji, or with certain nuns. The sister who had her trust steadfastly refused to leave her alone if she wasn't with Yui, although it was only because she slipped out of sight once.

Things escalated to the worse on December 12, 2006, at exactly a quarter past two in the morning. It was precisely an exhausting day for the girl, because the nun who was taking care of her and her sister had to leave due to family problems, or so they told her.

The albino-haired girl couldn't sleep due to some nightmares, even though she had become very habitual. The young woman began to hear murmurs and footsteps outside the room that she shared with Yui, and she could make out her father's voice. She could make out her desperate tone from her ... And, strangely, anger.

Carefully, she got out of her bed without making any noise, but following a little voice in her head, she took the camera that belonged to the blonde that was a gift from her only trusted caregiver, and opened slowly the door. Her father had locked himself in her office, and she could hear someone else's voice. On tiptoe, he approached the door ajar, and looked behind it. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw the body of one of the older girls on the ground, tied up and with blood pouring from her head. That memory is somewhat blurry, but it remembers very well various parts of the conversation between her father and a man with long hair. She took photos, and to her surprise, they did not have flash, and the photos came out perfectly ... That woman had many strange objects.

Once she finished, she turned, intending to leave, but one of the nuns spotted her, yelling to warn Seiji. Shoma wasted no time running and closing in on her sister's room, which she was awakened by her scream. Shoma told her everything quickly, leaving the photos to hide them, and the little girl didn't hesitate long to jump out the window (it was not the first time that she did that out of boredom), and she ran away from there. Still, the nun had gone ahead, and it wasn't long to be just a few steps away from her with her father's poker, part of them burning.

She remembers her sister with hatred seeing it all in horror and just standing there with the camera in her hands, shaking, to simply turn and turn her back on him.

In the blink of an eye, she was dragged by her hair by her "father" and other nuns, and before she had a chance to run away, the girl was thrown into the basement, away from other people, away from Yui, away from everyone. She tried to get out, scream, but no one ever came.

Nobody, nobody at all...

And here ends her story. The young woman, thanks to her curiosity, sealed her fate. She was destined to die in that place, even if she didn't want that, alone and starving, not knowing if Yui or someone would remember her...

But they say that there is always someone who takes care of us somewhere, right? Even if she has no hope... Maybe there really is someone, even without her knowing it.

Puzzleship JP & KR Fancomic Recommendation List

UPDATE (19-12-2020): Added two more artists and two more titles on the Japanese lists!

I don’t consider myself as someone very tidy and organized, but I just like making lists of the things I love, somehow. Hence this post. I haven’t been in the fandom for long but I thought I’d share some of my favorites primarily from two sites: pixiv and postype. Most of the postype ones are behind paywall, and I will mark them differently.

Some of my favorites come from the same artists, so I’ll also link their pixiv profile on top of my favorite work of them.

(I actually bookmarked a lot and picking them isn’t an easy task, so I will update this step by step. If you see only a link of an artist, that’s the reason, but I can guarantee you will love their works! Feel free to recommend me yours through reblogs or DM as well!)

Japanese

Artist: CYHGM

She is a Chinese and is more active on Weibo (she posted tons of puzzleship there, but my Mandarin is beyond rusty so I could only cry in despair lmao), but she has two fancomics that I absolutely adore of. Those two mentioned fancomics are:

The Past and The Future. You can check my translation for this one here. It tells about Atem who gets transported to 3000 years later before his coronation, and that’s where he met post-canon!Yugi. Just... everything about this comic is so wonderful. I teared up at the last page, not gonna lie ;_;

The Pharaoh and The Fairy: An Ancient Egypt-slash-fantasy AU featuring the S0/TOEI casts. The fairy Yugi was saved by Atem, and it’s an obligatory for fairies to grant their savior’s wishes. However, Atem doesn’t exactly have something he wants of, and this confuses Yugi on how he should repay him back. Pure undiluted sugar, and fairy!Yugi is just so cute.

Artist: Fushitas

Arguably one of the most popular Puzzleship fanartists in the JP fandom (look at their number of followers on Twitter, man), but maybe it’s also due to the fact they were in AoT fandom too. They’re mostly active on Twitter, and if you also watch Zexal, they draw tons of Yuma-centric pairings too. They have released lots of books, and their prices on the reseller sites are... well, let’s just say, unbelievable. Just to show how famous they are.

From everlasting to everlasting: Set after DSOD. A mysterious figure appears in front of Atem, claiming to be his queen. Everyone in the after life somehow acknowledges this person, which makes him even more confused because he’s the only one unaware of this. On the living realm, Yugi who is on the way to his home got hit by a truck (isekai much??) and when he woke up, he suddenly plays the role of Atem’s queen. I’ve always adored Fushitas’ drawing, and this is no exception. The story is pretty simple, but is still good! The ending of this comic is everything I’ve always wanted from the canon lol.

The King’s Guest: Ancient Egypt AU. The councils are starting to get worried because Atem shows no interest in marrying someone, so Shimon opens up a “chance” sort of for civilians to become “someone for the Pharaoh to talk with”. The civilian Yugi takes this chance right off the bat, and stuff happens? This one is just so sweet and the misunderstanding later in the story kinda cracks me up. I really love the way they build the two’s chemistry in here.

They only draw two puzzleship fancomics, but both are so good and explores the themes I’ve loved from the pairing.

The Lotus’ Devil: Set post-canon with a flashback. It tells about Yugi’s regret in the past where he wanted to show Atem a small pool supposed to be full of lotus flower only to arrive seeing them not blooming. Fast forward to the post-canon, he found out that there’s actually a monster residing on that pool. I really, really loved the ending scene of this one.

Who’s The Detestable, Fortunate Guy Here: I think this is set sometime in the canon story, although the exact timing is unclear. It’s a short comic of Yugi asking Atem to pretend to be his date and go on a “dating practice”. A very pleasant hurt-and-comfort kind of story, and who doesn’t love a story of them dating anyways? :”D

She doesn’t draw much YGO, but she has some Arc-V and 5D’s fanarts too if you watch the series!

Hourglass: Sets after the Memory World arc. Yugi keeps hearing a strange sound inside his mind, and he finds out there’s a huge hourglass standing there, guarded by the will of Millenium Puzzle. Apparently, the hourglass is linked to Atem’s remaining time in the living realm? Anyways, the ending of this comic might look like a cliffhanger, but I personally think it isn’t. I love the theme this comic picks to explore and the way it is presented.

Present: Same setting with Hourglass, but this one focuses more on Atem sorting out his feelings about the Ceremonial Duel and what he has learned from Yugi in general. It’s a very nice extra detail that the canon slightly lacks of, and I just love... bittersweet stuff in general haha.

Are you the type who wants puzzleship to be full of happiness and fluff and nothing else? Well, she has a number of comics to fill that need! I actually love all of her works, but if I have to pick, these two are my favorite:

...Don’t Ever Leave Me Again: A short story about Yugi having a nightmare of where he was stuck in the fire accident at Otogi’s store. Well... this isn’t a fluff sort of, but it’s... a happy ending still? /shot

[Untitled]: A dialogue-less comic, but this is the sort of post-canon what-if that I really, really like. Atem stroking Yugi’s face while sleeping is just... so soft man....

Artist: Komori Nea

Their art style was one of those that’s very noticeable and has a certain charm on it. They are pretty active on Twitter, and even draws puzzle comics once in a while that haven’t been uploaded to pixiv (which is why I recommend you to check their twitter gallery too haha)

The Soul Stays Awake: Post!DSOD. Atem comes back from afterlife in hoping that Yugi would be as happy as he is, but months after, Atem’s existence still hasn’t been registered on Yugi’s life just yet. Another post!DSOD take that I like which involves the fear of another farewell and uncertainty, but this is a good hurt-and-comfort. I swear, it’ll hurt you just... for a while. :”)

The Attack’s Aim: Set during the canon series. A short comic mostly portraying Yugi’s hidden strength but also the tenacity of duelist that is not only targeted toward the opponent, but also to Atem, without the person actually noticing it. The last page of this one is so... soft and gentle I had to put it into this list.

Artist: caf

Often draw with S0/TOEI style, characters and characterization in mind. Their coloring in illustrations is so soft, plus artists who specialize in S0/TOEI style can’t be found so easily. Their comic style is not a manga-like one and they write the dialogues with handwriting, but if you can read hiragana and write and understand how kanji works (so you can write it on translation machine), their comics are easy to understand!

magenta: S0/TOEI AU where Yugi and Atem are two separate person. A short comic of Yugi lying under the rain as Atem searches for his whereabouts. I really love the way they portray the rain and the atmosphere surrounding the scene. Or maybe I’m just biased with rains in general, ahahaha.

Yuugi and Mao’s Stay Home: Same AU as above. Our two boys has to face the same shit we do IRL in this comic, which is quarantine. Atem offers to cook something for Yugi since he can’t eat outside. You love seeing Yugi eating stuff? This is a perfect comic for y’all.

Others:

Gemini: As Atem comes back to the living world, Yugi faces the dilemma of having being separated by “his other self” physically and mentally. A short comic, but the lines the artist used are so... beautiful. Like, the way they describe Yugi’s loneliness?? Just hits the park so much.

Until The Hourglass Runs Out: Set after the Memory World Arc. As their farewell day goes closer, Yugi decides to give Atem a full control of his body at school so he could spend his time with Jounouchi and the gang more. However, things don’t go as smooth as Yugi had expected. If you like that little teeny weeny pain before the Ceremonial Duel, this comic perfectly suits the taste.

see you sometime: Post-canon. Mahaad offers Atem a chance to meet Yugi in the living realm one more time, but with several conditions. Firstly, he could only stay for a day at maximum. Secondly, Yugi won’t be able to remember who he spent his time with after Atem hangs out with him. Thirdly, Yugi will not be able to “recognize” this Atem; he will only be registered in Yugi’s mind as a new classmate. A bittersweet comic in whole, but seeing the two having fun like a normal teenager would just makes me grin.

After The Rain: A dialogue-less comic, so everyone would be able to read this right away. A short comic of the two, but still very cute and wholesome!

The Tropics of Horus: Post!DSOD, Atem has to chase Kisara who lingers around Kaiba’s soul and he needs Yugi’s help to bring Kisara back to afterlife, but he has his own ulterior motive. This manga is so dialogue-heavy and might be hard to dissect especially if you don’t understand JP grammar and context, but the time spent trying to understand the meaning behind every words will be worth it. That much I guarantee. Just... everything about this comic, and how Atem’s “ulterior motive” connects to our boys’ adventure in canon series are so well planned. Christmas Day: S0/TOEI puzzleship hint (dark puzzle???). There’s something in store for Yugi in Christmas, but this one might surprise Yugi a lot. It’s not that the prompt of “Atem gets separated from Yugi temporarily” is uncommon, but it is still a sweet one and makes you smile throughout the pages.

Korean

All titles mentioned here are not free unless mentioned otherwise. Also I don’t understand Korean except being able to read Yugi and Atem’s name, so my story interpretation might be wrong. If you understand Korean, I’d really love for you input! ;_;

Yugi’s 2020 Birthday Anthology: Rain and After End

This is an anthology consisting of four titles, but they share the same (or similar) setting where Atem is reincarnated, but he doesn’t remember his past (or has not yet, depending on how the story portrays it). Some are age-gap (adult!Yugi and high school student!Atem), so you might want to consider that if it’s not your cup of tea.

To Like Someone is to...: Age-gap setting. Mostly tells about how Yugi deals with his feeling as the reincarnated Atem in front of him turns out to have a feeling on him. I like how the story’s conclusion is that Yugi will sort it out slowly while also teasing Atem how he’s “too early” to date Yugi w.

In A Circle: A story about how the two met through an online chess game. Iirc Yugi works in a game company and Atem is sort of a famous e-sports player in this setting. There’s a lot of dialogue in this one and the app sometimes can’t process them very well, but I liked what I can understand from it! not very convincing is it haha i’m sorry i shouldn’t have done this

Familiarity: Age-gap setting, where Yugi becomes Atem’s caretaker. The comic mostly focuses on how Atem notices how kind (or too kind) Yugi is sometimes, but there are times where he feels distant. The plot where Atem gets into a fight with the other kid in his school because the kid mocks Yugi, and how Yugi just... accepts it even when Atem doesn’t want to say his reason of punching the kid is just.... god... I love this kind of age-gap setting like this I guess ;_;

Touchdown: Age-gap setting, but Atem is older in here (university student). The two goes to Atem’s university festival and they think about their own feeling when they got separated. On their way to drop Atem off, he confesses to Yugi, but Yugi is still unsure on his overlapping feeling between the reincarnated Atem and the Atem he knows. Make sure you play Motohiro Hata’s Rain and Aimer’s After Rain during the car scene to make the “rain” mood works even better :”)

Others:

Try For Point: A continuation of Touchdown, where Atem (like, the one from the past) visits Yugi in his dream and helps Yugi in sorting out is his feeling toward his reincarnated self. Atem’s advice is so sweet and there’s one certain line from this comic that I remember very deeply - there’s a part where he says, “If you don’t pull out the card, you won’t know what card it is, right?” to help Yugi clearing out his hesitancy ;w; at this point, I curse myself for not being able to understand Korean

Just seen your Labby/Teddie headcannons go off bud. You rant and rave we wanna seeeeee! Share your stuff if you want it's all valid and good!

God I had this ask for long mainly cause I’ve been thinking and overthinking on headcannons screw it, I’m too full on ideas so imma go crazy

(i swear to god if i do hit the word limit, I’m gonna YELL)

anyways the whole thing is under read more cause again, I talk too much

Okay to start things off, Labrys really like dogs cause ya know, Snowy. So she likes talking or interacting with any dog she meets. She’s a dog person all the way. But guess who doesn’t like that? Teddie, that’s who. He will get jealous at any dogs that take Labrys attention away from him. “Labby-chan! I’m right here! Why don’t you talk and pet me instead of this mutt! :(” Though he doesn’t stay jealous as long as she just simply pets and chat as they are strays or owned. So he’s fine until Koromaru comes in. Ooooo boy, Koromaru is a member of the Shadow Ops so his pets and chats with Labrys are longer as he has nowhere to be often and the two are pretty close. He’s the one that gets Teddie to be stomping jealous. The two are pretty much rivals on Labrys affection, even if Teddie is already dating her. He’ll fight him on being cute and adorable. Also, Koromaru actually plays along with him in this rivalry as he sees it as fun. That said, he finds it amusing that getting close and cuddling with Labrys sets him off. Kid you not, he will hop on Labrys’s lap being all cute to get all the pets and then turn to Teddie with a happy shiba inu pup face. He looks so innocent but really is purposely making Teddie get jealous cause it’s fun. Teddie and Koromaru actually do get along with each other since they’re both cute, mascots, and persona users. It’s just that when Labrys walks into the room, that friendship turns into rivalry because ya know.

Labrys doesn’t need to sleep since she’s a robot and all but Teddie does. Labrys used to just walk around or do something but that changed when she saw Teddie gets nightmares. Like his nightmares consist of him being no longer liked and being left in the tv world or having all his friends killed by shadows and he couldn’t do anything about it cause he was so scared like how the IT first found him in the tv world. Though now that he’s super close to Labrys, sometimes he’ll have a nightmare of her being destroyed in battle and can’t be fixed. He’ll wake up with tears and will crawl into his suit and stay in it till he feels better since his suit gives him comfort. Labrys walked in when she heard a noise and found Teddie crying in the corner in his suit. Teddie doesn’t tell her anything at first as to not bother her but after some talk and comforting words, he lets it out. Labrys gets how he feels as she has similar nightmares as well just a little different. Like how she’s the one who kills all her friends and gets locked away and has her memories wiped. Nonetheless, she coaxes him outta of the suit and makes him go to bed. But when she tries to leave, he freaks out and grabs her hand. He asks if she can be nearby and watch him as he’s afraid of dealing with the nightmares alone again. Though after he asks he gets a nervous feeling he’s bothering her so he adds if she only wants to and if she can’t then it’s okay. (Ted, your sad face and fear is making Labrys feel sad and concerned. Not in a bad way either, she just cares about you so much.) She agrees to watch him as it’ll make him more comfortable and she’s not really doing much in the late nights. So when Teddie sleeps, Labrys will be nearby watching over him to see if he's okay and help him out if any nightmare gets him. Of course with her staying in one place, Aigis wonders where she is and looks for her. Once she sees Labrys watching over Teddie in his sleep, she instantly gets it and leaves them be. Of course not without her reminiscing about herself and Minato cause ya know.

Moving on a different headcannon, the shadow ops are pretty happy with how happy the two are, meanwhile the IT are confused that Teddie is dating. It’s mainly Yosuke though cause he’s like “That damn bear is dating? and it’s Labrys? Huh???” Though after he’s done being confused he’s very supportive but not without him teasing the heck of Teddie. That’s what he gets for teasing Yosuke about him and Yu together. Everyone is supportive of them in different ways. Yu helps Teddie with dating advice. From now they perfect date spot to what to give on valentines since Labrys doesn’t do chocolate. He helps give good tips. Chie, Yukiko, and Rise take them out shopping for fun cause Labrys doesn’t really have much outfits and Teddie likes to have more. Yukari and Mitsuru might join in the shopping but it’s rare by how busy the two are. Kanji finds the two adorable with each other and he helps Teddie make a Teddie plush (like the one Nanako receives) as a gift for Labrys for an event. “With this, you’ll never be alone! Either I would be with you or mini me will! Us bears will be by your side no matter what! :)” With Naoto I think he often gives books for Labrys to read and for Teddie he makes little gadgets to keep him busy. I think that weird cube thingy with all the little clicks and what not would be a favorite of his. As for the shadow ops, Yukari tolerates Teddie cause how he is but finds him better than Junpei and she takes Labrys and Teddie shopping when she can. Sad Junpei noises here. Junpei and Teddie pick on each other but in a fun way. Junpei knows how to handle kids so he knows what to do in dealing with Teddie from distraction and getting along with him. Ken likes Teddie but he’s on Koromaru side of the two’s rivalry. Ken and Labrys get along as they watch Koromaru and Teddie have their cute contest. Mitsuru supports the relationship with Teddie and Labrys but every now and then, Teddie gets a mom glare from her. Aigis and Teddie get along very well which makes Labrys pretty happy. While Aigis doesn’t have “a pun for every occasion” anymore because of PQ, she is learning “bear puns for every occasion” from Teddie. Yukari keeps telling her to delete it but she relearns it from Teddie every time. Akihiko is always up to train the two and Labrys is always down but Teddie isn’t. “I don’t wanna fight the half naked man! :(” Fuuka really likes Teddie but Teddie gets confused by her from how she talks about technology and big words. He still likes her though since she’s really cute!

I’ve run out of ideas or I hit a burn out. Surprised I didn't hit the limit but I talk about this too much. I might have more ideas later but as of now this is what I mainly got plus the previous one. So yeah, have these long head cannons. I spent too long on this so enjoy it.

i just wanted to thank all of y'all for nearly 100 followers and i'll probably do something special for it (maybe a Q&A? idk come up with something dw)

school is dumb and i hate it here stressing about college applications is also wack

i've always wanted to try my hand at the fluff alphabet so i hope this isn't too ooc or bad

[a]ctivities: what do they like to do with their s/o? how do they spend their free time with them?

kageyama would absolutely love love love to play volleyball with you. it doesn't matter if you're a professional or don't know what a recieve is, if you show interest in playing it with him he will be just so over joyed (of course without showing it very much)

his favorite thing to do with you that's not volleyball is going out for hikes or walks in the park. just being able to go outside and enjoy the weather is a good stress reliever for him. you two don't even have to talk very much. if you want to ramble about your day or about the latest tv show you've watched, he's gonna listen but if you want to just be together and walk in silence he's totally down for that too.

[b]eauty: what do they admire about their s/o? what do they think is beautiful about them?

one physical trait kageyama likes is your voice. he would love your voice no matter what. if you're one to talk about anything and everything he is low-key relieved because he cannot carry a conversation for the life of him but if you prefer a comfortable silence he's down for that too.

a personality traits he admires is patience. he knows he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed and isn't one to pick up hints easily. so if you bare with him and help him maneuver through life and its obstacles he will definitely fall harder for you

[c]omfort: how would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

to be honest, I can see Kageyama not knowing what to do the first time his s/o has a panic attack or feels awful. he's just very inexperienced with relationships in general, but he's gonna try to do some research and ask his upper classmen teammates for help. the second time it happens he'll be there for you. he is gonna provide all the physical and emotional support that he can.

[d]reams: how do they picture their future with their s/o?

once he has a stable schedule, kageyama sees the two of you living in a large condo home living the domestic life. making breakfast together on days that the two of you have off, movie nights with popcorn and tea, doing cosmetic face masks together (despite Kageyama having the clearest skin known to mankind), and just being able to take the time to cherish one another.

[e]qual: are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

at the beginning of the relationship Kageyama's gonna be more passive just because he a) doesn't want to accidently hurt you and b) he does not have the slightest clue what to do in a relationship. as the relationship goes on he's gonna be a little bit more dominant, but he will always ask to do something (like ask to give you a hug or for kisses etc. because he is a polite boy 😤)

[f]ight: would they be easy to forgive their s/o?

it honestly depends on what the who's at fault. if you're clearly at fault kageyama is gonna expect you to apologize and own up to it, but if he's the one at fault he will apologize as soon as he realizes it. he doesn't want to lose you in some dumb argument so he'll quickly and sincerely apologize, though it might take just a little bit of time for him to realize.

[g]ratitude: how grateful are they in general? are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

kageyama is super duper duper grateful for all that you do for him. waiting for him to come home at night with late practices, him leaving at dawn for early practice, all of it. he doesn't know how to verbally say "thank you so much for all that you do I don't know where I'd be without you" but he'll show it through actions. he's gonna get you a cute little trinket he sees at the airport when he's away or gets you that thing you've been looking at for some time without you realizing.

[h]onesty: do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? or do they share everything?

Kageyama doesn't share too much, only if you ask. he's not very good at opening up and he's very scared of abandonment. just be patient with him and let him open up at his own pace. he'll tell you everything just not at all once

[i]nspiration: did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? like trying out new things or help them overcome their personal problems?

he's become more aware of how to talk to people and the general aura he gives off. he’s learned to be vulnerable around you, to lean on you, and love you. it scares him that on any day you could pack your bags and leave him, never looking back. he’s scared of making mistakes and ultimately destroying the most wonderful thing that the two of you have so sometimes he overthinks every action. you’ve taught him to go with the flow, that it is okay to mess up. mistakes happen and that is okay. you’ve soothed and ease the insectuities that kageyama has. he can’t thank you with words because he’ll stumble and stutter but he can thank you with a gentle hand squeeze and a hug that conveys “I don’t ever want to let you go”

[j]ealousy: do they get jealous easily? how do they deal with it?

again, baby boy kags has abandonment issues from Junior high so he's gonna be at least a little bit jealous, but not to worry! he trusts you 100 percent to make the right choices and to be loyal. he wouldn't really get that jealous unless someone was blatantly flirting with you. you notice his jealousy when he gives off the iciest glare to whoever is flirting with you. unless you look visibly uncomfortable he won't step in since he knows you can handle yourself. but if you needed him to step in, he would in a heartbeat. he deals with his jealousy by pouting at you and glaring at the other person until you give him all the affection he wants.

[k]iss: are they a good kisser? what was the first kiss like?

there is a 100 percent high chance that Kageyama has never been in a relationship before, let alone kissed someone. he's gonna be very inexperienced so if you take the lead until Kageyama feels more comfortable with it he'll be grateful. but fyi this boy learns and he learns fast don't worry ;)

your first kiss was an accident (i know cliché but hear me out). the two of you were sitting together shoulder to shoulder studying for midterms. you were aiming to give kageyama a kiss on the cheek for getting a question correct on his literature homework, but he moved his head towards you to ask you something about a certain kanji character and bam. that was your first kiss.

[l]ove confession: how would they confess to their s/o?

kageyama would do the cliché "stick a note in your locker asking you to meet after school on the roof top" but would either fuck it up by a) messing up some kanji so it's unreadable and confusing, b) make it sound like a threat, or c) both. how he wrote it is option c.

you ended up going to the rooftop of the school out of curiosity and you see the dark haired boy standing there with a strawberry milk carton, bag of steamed buns, and a single rose (fun fact: the karasuno boys vbc made him get all of those things because let's face it this boy is hopeless with gifts).

as soon as you meet his gaze, his face turns red in record time. he adorably stutters out that he's got the biggest crush on you and you can't help but accept his heartfelt confession.

[m]arriage: do they want to get married? how do they propose? what would the marriage be like?

he would totally want to get married. he'd propose to you at a really really serenic place at night either at like a picnic at the beach or under the night sky on your condo balcony. your wedding would be small private with just your friends and family. the marriage would just be your relationship before y'all got married just now y'all share a bank account.

[n]icknames: what do they call their s/o?

at the beginning of your relationship, he was used to pet names but as he got comfortable in your relationship he uses some of them. the most common ones he uses are things like "honey", "love", and "babe"/"baby"

[o]n cloud nine: what are they like when they are in love? is it obvious for others? how do they express their feelings?

tobio makes it painfully obvious that he has a crush. he's never experienced these feelings before so he doesn't really know how to handle them so it's very obvious to others that he has a crush (even if he doesn't know himself). the longing glances, the flushed cheeks, the spacing out, the stuttering, it's really really obvious to tell if he's infatuated with someone.

he doesn't really express his feelings very well but he does express it by walking you home after school or after his practice, getting you your favorite drink from the vending machine, and just showing he cares in small ways.

[p]da: are they upfront about their relationship? do they brag about their s/o in front of others? or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

kageyama is definitely more reserved when presenting his relationship. he won't go sucking off your face in front of people, but he doesn't mind the small gestures like hand holding and settling his hand on your waist.

when the two of you first got together, he kept it a secret from his team for months until hinata accidently saw the two of you kissing in the closet. it was only then when kageyama decided to announce to the team that the two of you are dating.

[q]uirk: some ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

okay, he is a god at massages and other things with his hands ;))))). so if your back aches from sleeping weird or sitting at a work desk for too long he will gladly give you a quick massage to relieve some of the pain. because of this you learned some massage methods and tricks to help tobio out when he comes from practices sore.

[r]omance: how romantic are they? what would they do to make their s/o happy? cliché or rather creative?

he's not very romantic himself, but he'll do anything he can to make his s/o happy. most of the things he'll do will either be corny and cliché as hell or they'll be super thoughtful and unique. it honestly depends on who he asks for advice (hint: nishinoya and tanaka are cheesy as hell so do what you want with that info)

[s]upport: are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? do they believe in them?

he will support you all the way with your dreams and goals like you've supported him with his professional volleyball dreams. he can't help you much with writing essays or calculating certain equations, but he'll try his best to give you all the emotional support you need to achieve your dreams.

[t]hrill: do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? or do they prefer a certain routine?

i think he'd be more of a routine sort of person, but if you want to do something new he will give it his best shot. he'll do anything to make you happy and who knows, maybe he'll discover something new about himself.

[u]nderstanding: how good do they know their partner? are they empathetic?

when it comes to your niche habits and things you like, he knows them like he knows the back of his hand. y'all saw how fast he memorized those lil volleyball signals, he unconsciously memorized all these small little details about you.

when it comes to being empathetic, he's got the right idea but he's going to come off a little off. the best way to get your feelings across to him is by straight up telling him. he'll learn to notice the small signs you give off when something is off.

[v]alue: how important is the relationship to them? what is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life

he will value your relationship like he values volleyball. he takes most of his relationships seriously so expect him to put the most effort he can. he'd expect you to do the same.

[w]ild card: a random fluff headcannon.

he saw you taking care of your friend's three year old son once. the way you were so doting and motherly towards him made his heart go doki doki. he realizes how much of a good parent you'd make and after that, he sometimes has cute domestic fantasies about having children with you.

[x]oxo: are they very affectionate? do they love to kiss and cuddle?

kageyama is not very affectionate in public, but in private he will be all over you. he's just more comfortable being cutesy and vulnerable in private with you. he will give you cute forehead / head kisses, snuggle you while the two of you sleep, hold your hand while you're doing laundry, and put his chin on your head while you do the dishes. he's just more baby in general when at home away from the public.

[y]earning: how will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

when kageyama misses you he will look at old pictures the two of you have taken together or pictures he has taken of you when you asked him to over the years that you've been together. these get him through some of the more lonelier times when he's away from you due to volleyball competition. he'll hold a pillow trying to pretend it's your warm self, but it doesn't work too well in the end.

[z]eal: are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? if so, what kind?

kageyama is willing to do whatever he can for your relationship. as long as you're his anchor in the storm and treat him with kindness, he's willing to move mountains for you. he just loves you very much and will do any action to prove it to you again and again.
