Oh man this au already got me in a death grip noooooo I know y’all are looking at me like “king……bro 💀 what are you doing with these poor skeletons” I’m literally so sorry I made another au to cope with DJDFKDVM IT WASNT MY INTENTION

so yeah if you haven’t guessed, this au will heavily focus on papyrus being the older brother in the family, high expectations that were pushed onto him since he was a kid. Was proud of himself at first for being the oldest and being the most mature one and being the responsible then!! Doesn’t realize that will have long lasting effects on him as he grows up being a perfectionist, horribly controlled emotions and some pent up anger and temper. Oh yeah, it’s one hell of an au.

Has a dad that practically feels like he’s absent, emotional neglect, family issues that are buried or completely ignored and thrown out but then bite you in the ass at the worst times!! Oh what an au this will be..

Sans doesn’t smile very much in this au, he’s uh. hella tired himself with all the bullshit his family has to deal with in itself. As the youngest, you’d figure you’d be given more attention and care but no, with a dad like his and a brother that can barely take care of himself mentally and emotionally, he wasn’t getting any of that. He even has a bit of a temper himself but he actually controls it better than his older brother does. That doesn’t stop him from being sarcastic(which a lot of people still mistake him being serious, it’s the never changing expression on his face and tone) He goes through a lot in this au too, on the surface he appears done with everything, anti social, forever resting bitch face but bro!! He still is a very fun guy to chat with, he still got a lot of jokes to tell he just uh…wishes people would notice when he talked or well..even paid attention to him anyway. again being the youngest ain’t easy.

And Gaster…………………………………we don’t talk about him SDJSDKDFLMF ah yes the typical “father who thinks his love for his children will be enough, giving the basic necessities and every now and then ‘praise’ before he disappears for 3 days or a whole week to do work.” He figured, I raised these boys myself!! they know how to take care of themselves without me! which is true but little did he know he should’ve given them more hugs when they were younger lmao. Now they’re messed up!! He loves Sans and Papyrus. He really does he just, failed to show the proper love and attention he was meant to give but woo. Gaster himself also has a temper EVERYONE IN THIS FAMILY HAS A TEMPER but his?? Oh it’s bad. Those long shifts then coming home late at night can be like walking on eggshells. That’s why Papyrus is always on his best behavior when he’s around!! Before he runs to his room and never comes out until he’s asked for something. Sans is always cooped up in his room, wanting to avoid any interaction with his dad. Gaster wishes his sons talked to him more, but he messed that up a long time ago…

Whew okay uhhhh…… that was a lot!! But yeah this family has a loooot of issues that will never get fixed cause they can’t handle emotional problems for shit. Besides Papyrus but well I that’s another thing ha

My honest opinion about Rebecca: fuck this bitch ass. All my homies can't stand this bitch ass.

I think Rebecca is a terrible mother and is such a good liar because she deludes herself so easily. I think making excuses for Rebecca is an interesting... take. And that's all I say on that because this is about her and not those people.

THAT BEING SAID, I still think -- i dont think i like her as a character, so much as what she represents. It is the idealization of the past. It is the mammothness of grief and loss. It is saran-wrapping one self in it while not actually confronting yourself in it. It is the selfishness, it is the fact that is understandable and human. It is loving and love not being enough -- for a number of reasons [because she never wanted to be a mother, because she spent so much energy loving Rook, because words are paper thin without actions, because perspective matters -- because her view of things isn't the detective's]

I think so many stories have parents [especially mothers] -- heck people in general, be able to soldier on after a loss. To see what they have left and for that to be enough. And that is valid ... it isn't everyone tho. There aren't enough-- no that's not true, at least in general, but like with mothers ignoring the breathing beings that need them and cleaving the past. Bridgeton did it (twice) and whatever the shows faults. I loved that. Its messy and painful and human.

So tl;dr I dislike Rebecca for how she hurts and hurt the detective, and the story is in their POV. And parents who refuse to GET it ... is familiar, in various ways. But what she represents? What she could be in a different story that acknowledged what she IS ... and does? I'm so into it.

A/N: these are entirely my opinions based on what each of the characters have meant for me. i’m a psych major and like doing lil analysis of things so it’s for funsis nothing else XD and i’m writing these with adult personalities in mind ! just fyi

it’s kinda long, fair warning, lots of text.

ᯓ፥Charlie ꪆ

Starting off with the MC herself; I can see her being a fav bc you are the sunshine coded individual that likes to do things diplomatically first, handles situations with words first and foremost as well as enthusiasm and optimism. You’ll always see the bright side of things and like to see the good in people.

So probably relate a lot to her.

You have a tendency to put others way above yourself and your own needs, most of the time unconsciously so.

Maybe you’re the mom-friend of the group. You’re the most caring and giving out of your surrounding friends or family.

Which kinda makes me think you may have a mix of daddy and mommy issues.

However sometimes your kindness is taken for weakness and naivety when that couldn’t be further from the truth. You’re not unaware of the world around you, in fact you’re probably someone who understands a little too good, so you choose to give positivity to the sea of negativity.

You’re highly emotionally intelligent, mature and likely find yourself always taking the reign in things. You’re a doer, determined to see everything you put your mind to to completion, lots of initiative in many aspects.

A WORKAHOLIC. Completely unaware of that aspect tho. Or just unintentionally so. Bc you are so determine on projects you give 120% and don’t stop until it’s completed.

You probably find comfort in her character in some ways; either bc you see yourself in her or strive to find a person like her who will see your redeeming qualities when you can’t, and want to help you grow as a person.

You aren’t a strict planner or someone who sticks 100% with a plan but do like to have an outline at least. Even if you have to improv further down the line at least you have an idea of wtf you’re doing.

So you can also roll with being spontaneous, you can easily think of a loose path to follow and roll with it whenever.

You’re very enjoyable company !! Smile and laugh is contagious, it’s impossible to not feel good around you.

You struggle a lot with imposter’s syndrome so let me be the one to tell you; you deserve good things, you belong in good places and with the people you love and love you back.

You’re likely the person everyone turns to for a voice of reason.

You’re very headstrong, you’re the decision maker in whatever circle you run.

You’re likely also the mediator. Are you the middle child in your family?

But the kind of daddy issues that come from resentment and anger at a fatherly figure or men that remind you of that fatherly figure.

You neither want fatherly comfort nor find someone that is a good fatherly figure. You don’t need it, you’ve been this long without it so what’s the point ?

Maybe you’re likely even the type of person who comforts others but don’t want/let others comfort you. You don’t need others, others need you.

You value your privacy, very reserved about your personal life. Keeping everything close to the vest do to the load of trust issues you carry.

Definitely into older partners (more specifically older men)

Unless don’t you do dating or physical relationships. In this case you maybe find yourself being the older friend of a group of friends.

You don’t have a parental bone in your body but you have this innate need to make sure others never feel the way you did; alone, helpless. This whether you admit it or not.

Much like our resident Radio Demon you have an appreciation for the entertainment and may take some sadistic pleasure in watching the people you don’t care for fail (especially those who have wrong you in the past).

But if not giving a fuck was an olympic sport you’d be a gold medalist. You are winning the 'idgaf war' every time, bc you don’t need to retaliate immediately when someone does do you wrong either, remaining unbothered knowing that person will do themselves in.

You like to play the long game in some situations, waiting for the right time to make a move.

You don’t have time for bullshit, time costs and yours comes at a high rate. You rather get to the point than run circles. And the biggest pet-peeve is getting lead on in any way just to ultimately waste your time and get nothing out it.

In most circumstances you don’t do anything without receiving a benefit from it unless it’s the people you truly care about. Everything has a price, a lot of things you do are for self fulfillment (Not in a negative way. You value yourself and know your worth)

You’re also a go-getter. Not waiting around for opportunities to just fall on your lap you go and make your own opportunities and open your own doors.

However one of your biggest flaws is overestimating yourself which ultimately leads you to feel like you failed at something when really you didn’t, you didn’t reach the intended goal even if the outcome was fine. Pride comes before the fall, for sure (And you’re trying to work on it. Kinda).

But you do have an issue with feeling like you’re absolutely invincible no matter what.

You have your own skeletons in the closet. Things you don’t like looking back on, decisions you regret to this day bc they shaped more of your life than you intended. But here you are persevering in one piece. If maybe a little jaded to the world around you, but in one piece. Good job.

ᯓ፥Lucifer ꪆ

You and Alastor fans are two sides of the same coin but with marked differences.

Daddy issues here too, but the ones who actually want a good fatherly figure. One you often find from a mentor or someone to give you affection and/or guidance.

You’re less likely to seek these out in romantic relationships as really what you want is to heal your inner child.

You heard More Than Anything, cried bc it’s beautiful song than cried harder wondering why couldn’t someone love you like that.

More than anything (ba-dum-tsss) you crave to be protected, you can do it yourself, you have been. But you’re tired. You want someone else to do it for a changed, see you for who you are and love you unconditionally.

I have the feeling you’re the oldest child of a broken home that had to be a 3rd parent at a young age to your even younger siblings and it hurt like a bitch having to leave them once you were able to get out of your parent’s house. But you couldn’t stay there a second longer.

It’s also likely in your upbringing you were seen as the black sheep of the family, whatever the reason may have been. That’s something that still hurts to this day even through the no-contact you’ve likely established.

You have a lot of love to give but often don’t know how to express it or measure it. In the sense that you love too hard or too little, but you care so much. You really do.

And this is why you probably have a lot of people coming to your for a shoulder to cry on, because what you will do is protect the ones you care about the way you wish someone did you in your worse times. This is where your over abundance of love comes the most handy.

BUT behind all of this there’s also a high spirit that can be the life of any party. You have a unique magnetism and easy going personality despite anything that makes people gravitate towards you.

ᯓ፥Angel ꪆ

You have likely been through some awful shit (I’m sorry you had to go through that, me too 🫂) and that has shaped you a lot as a person today.

Probably came out of those experiences a hyper sexual that has to constantly advocate for those of us who don’t cope the same ways others do.

Angel is like a breath of fresh air because for once you get to see a representative whose bad experiences aren’t romanticized or glamorized.

The level at which you relate to him when he yelled “It’s not an act! It’s who I need to be!” was spiritual and it left you a little broken bc you likely use your persona as a shield bc if you don’t laugh you’ll cry

You don’t like letting your past define you but the line between who you are and who’s the persona built for the public keeps thinning more and more.

The trust issues you carry are so deep sometimes you accidentally push people you care about and who care about you away.

Because you do care, so much but it’s hard to let people in not knowing who’s truly going to treat you well.

Sometimes the only was you let in are the ones who go above and beyond to climb the tall thick walls you’ve put around yourself.

But life has made you strong, resilient. You know how to defend yourself and you take no shit from anyone.

You either want Angel’s rambunctious confidence or you have it and know how to work it. (work it 💅)

Don’t forget you’re more than what you can offer people. There’s genuine value in you as the person you are, not for what you can offer.

general:

the sides work with a kind of cartoon logic (kinda like who framed Roger rabbit) which is what their shape shifting and such is, they can survive pretty much everything, dont bend to reality type thing

i also dig playing around with the idea that they just arent human, they dont need to eat, sleep, even breathe or blink if they dont wanna. They just play more human around thomas so they dont freak him out (everyone but remus at least, dude doesnt give a fuck lol) they all have their priorities regarding that kinda stuff. like logan doesnt eat or sleep almost at all (there r exceptions tho obvi (crofters)) while patton rly likes to cook and bake so why not eat the stuff you make? meanwhile remus eats literally anything he can find

they can also float if they wanna, same thing where they just dont around thomas. this came about me just imagining remus consistently floating around in the mindscape instead of walking for whatever reason? so yeah they can do that

theres a core mindscape and a ‘dark’ mindscape, that sorta works like the upside down from stranger things (as in the dark mindscape is like literally upside down and mirrors everything, like this)

everyones also got their own unique doors to their rooms. logans is very sleek and modern, pattons in more childlike and almost vintage, romans resemble castle doors while remus’ is more like a dungeons, virgils is typically angsty teenager with tons of posters and ‘keep out’ signs, and janus has tons of locks on his

design wise the core sides have straight teeth and fluffier hair while the dark sides have sharp teeth and rougher(?) hair (since changing, virgil has vampire-esque fangs)

logan:

square rimmed glasses

loves the rain

unintentionally fidgets with his clothes, always adjusting his glasses or rolling his sleeves up and down or messing with the buttons or his tie

playing more into the whole ‘sides dont have to eat thing’ he finds food kinda nasty lol, again only rly eats stuff thats very good to him (ultimate picky eater basically) patton has tried and failed many times to get logan to try and like new foods

roman was the one who got him to try crofters

watches those long ass video essays about random topics on youtube for background noise

patton:

round glasses and heart eyes

has roller blades/skates! specifically these ones that retract the wheels. good way of getting energy out (even if hes super clumsy with them)

virgil:

decently tall but slouches a lot which hides it (slouching hes shorter than the twins but still taller than janus) also rarely stands or sits straight at all so it kinda shocked the core sides when he showed them how tall he rly was (queue roman being mad cuz hes actually the shortest of the main four lol)

has stereotypical emo hair and still has some purple dye in it

hot topic skeleton fingerless gloves and muddy sneakers (idk why it just feels right)

draws his nails black with sharpie

listens to metal music to calm down. remus got him into a lot of numetal, screamo kinda music when virgil was still one of the others, it was one of the few times theyd hang out and virgil wasnt 100% freaked out by remus

enjoys all the ‘bad’ disney/pixar movies. (cars, home on the range, etc) and like unironically enjoys them. prolly started ironically to mess with roman but he genuinely find those ones the best and cant fathom why theyre disliked (totally not self-indulgent cuz some of those movies are my favorites)

comes up with random weird plans and ropes janus into them whenever possible, janus plays along best he can

somewhat wants to fuse back with roman (even if hes unsure why)

new regressor on tumblr?

here’s a guide to make tumblr your safe space (cw: talks of k!nk, nsfw stuff and p*rn)

to start: you’re gonna want to make your blog look REAL (as to not confuse you for a p*rn bot) so add a profile picture, a bio, and some colors in your blog, you can add it all in the 🎨 in your blog

secondly, you’re gonna want to add a DNI and a BYF in your blog, mine is my pinned post, DNI (do not interact) is a list of all the people that you do not wish to interact with here (a lot of people won’t follow it, but there are some respectful people that do) and a BYF (before you follow) is a list of characteristics that you wish to communicate for new followers (for example, in mine I state that i am not looking for a relationship here)

it’s common courtesy here to read someone’s DNI/BYF before following and liking it/sending the user the code (some people put it under the read more cut so they make SURE everybody reads it

you’re free to copy and paste my DNI in your own :))

now, the yucky stuff, filtration, you see once upon a time tumblr was a magical place and then yucky people came in and made it yucky, now it’s our hellsite and we love it as it is but you have to take your precautions here

as a regressor, it can be triggering seeing k*nk content, especially while regressed, to me, for certain k*nks, it’s yucky always, but tumblr has this nifty thing called filtering, where the tags the k*nk people use can be filtered and then tumblr will put a little wall between you and the post, so you won’t have to see it

you go to your settings and scroll down until you find the filtering section, you’ve got tags (how people FIND the post) and content (certain words you know might get used in posts you don’t want to see)

here is my list, i recently have been getting followed by a lot of yucky blogs, and when i’m not little i go through their tags to block them all, in efforts that the yuckies will be easier to handle as time goes on, their tags tend to change, so if you see a yucky, check the tags and block them as soon as you see them fyi; some of these tags/content that i blocked arent necessarily bad but they're triggering to me. All I'm saying is dont feel obligated to block them if you don't wish to :)

these people tend to do this thing called crosstagging where they post their stuff under their tag and then post it under age regression tags, can be unintentionally (a lot of people get the two mixed up, it sucks) or intentionally (some people get off on you seeing their posts without consenting to them!!) so blocking their tags out will help you not see it on the chance it appears!!!

sadly, this doesn’t guarantee a 100% sfw experience for us, i can’t promise you you won’t ever see them after this, but you definitely will see them less than if you didn’t

now the fun part! follow the tags under this post (these are the ones we regressor use to find each other) and follow regression accounts (or any other ones you like!!), this will create a lovely home feed and it will make tumblr more enjoyable

The series that wasn't supposed to exist, but here it is.

Description: Pero Tovar x Original Female Character Nikita. This story is told entirely from Pero's point of view, and centers around his relationship to a female colleague of his. He has never wanted a more than physical relationship with her, but when her life is threatened and he ends up unintentionally learning more about her, that boundary begins to blur.

2. ...why I do or don't ship them.

I ship them. I ship them quite a LOT. And that's because from the MOMENT we started seeing those flashbacks, it felt like I was watching a love story.

And then they had their reunion and Maria looked like the breath had been knocked right out of her chest. And Carol with this hangdog expression? And the piles of photographs that Maria had kept to remember Carol?

I'm sorry, but this isn't just friendship.

Add in amnesia during which most of the memories that were trying to break through revolved around Maria and her daughter? A kid that Carol was clearly around so much that even after YEARS of being missing she still seemed to think Carol hung the moon? I mean, COME ON, I can be expected to be only so strong here.

And The Marvels did NOT help. If anything Carol was pining after all that she had lost even MORE.

It's like a tragic fairy tale.

15. ...how I wish their story would go/would have gone.

Well first of all I wouldn't have killed Maria. Because it's stupid and I hate it.

Second of all I wouldn't have had Carol ghosting the woman she was clearly in love with and their daughter for 20 years.

Because it's stupid and I hate it.

Or if I did do that, then The Marvels would have involved a very chaotic Time Travel fix it.

Ideally she'd have remained in contact and gotten back together with Maria in the intervening years (FYI here's a fic I found where Carol does go back and it's adorable (or here's an old fic I wrote that contains a smidge of how I would have wanted Carol to have kept in touch)) and though I do think I want to have kept Monica getting dusted by the Snap (because I do enjoy SOME angst), Maria would have been snapped too.

And then Carol would have gotten the both of them BACK.

But that was ideally.

Now, my hopes rest on Carol finding a way to get back the stranded Monica (or to join her). Because if they're making this Alternate Universe Maria be kind of a mirror of Carol... then let's go all the way here and have this Maria be mourning her Carol the same way our Carol is mourning her Maria.

They can be each other's second chance.

Can we reach levels above 10 out of 10? Because... duuude. When you have Lizzie constantly casting herself to play one half of a romcom couple and yet convinced that she's the matchmaker, or third wheel? And Hope being Lizzie's Totally Personal Hero? And Lizzie constantly pulling a Prince Charming on Hope? And Hope obsessing over Lizzie while lacking humanity all at the same time saying with her whole chest how she cares nothing about Lizzie?

AND BOTH OF THEM SOMEHOW COMPLETELY IGNORING THE BIG FLASHING LIGHT OF THE SIRE BOND AND WHAT THAT MEANS?

*voice full of saccharine condescension*: 'oh, honey'.

11. ...how quickly I started shipping them when I got into the fandom.

If memory serves me right... I started shipping them pretty early on. Wayyyyy early on, like before 1x12 even.

But where it became serious was the episode with the dress.

Like, the fact that she just went 'this family heirloom dress needs to be worn by the prettiest girl I know'? Goddammit, Lizzie.

And then of course there's the way you just have to admire the sheer gall of pulling a Klaroline parallel unintentionally?

20. ...how and when they should get/should have gotten together.

Ideally, at the end of the season 5 that never was.

I consider s4 to be the season where Lizzie realized and accepted that she's in love with Hope. Burt also accepted the idea that it was never going to happen and chose to try to move on.

S5 should have been the season where Lizzie is trying to do that while Hope is coming to accept that there's feelings there from her side too and that the idea that she might have realized that too late hurts.

Culminating in a big fight where they finally drop all the cards on the table and address all the things they'd been skirting over.

Kendall has been building up the courage to talk to you for a while now. When he finds your Twitter account, he sees this as the perfect opportunity to get to know you anonymously, without any preconceived notions.

He didn’t mean for it to go this far. He’s planning on telling you the truth eventually, he really is! One day. When it’s the right time.

Ideally, before you figure out he’s not Greg.

Loathe as you were to admit it, talking with Kendall felt kind of like a tennis match. Either that or a solid game of ping pong. Awkward as he was, conversations with your new internet friend flowed surprisingly well. He was just so funny. Unintentionally funny at times, but funny all the same.

Hey, have you ever been to Dundee?

You had woken up to a message from Kendall nearly every day since you first started communicating. That just so happened to be this morning’s message.

As in Dundee, Scotland?

You know where it is???? I wasn’t expecting you to know where it is.

Honestly no. I had to look it up. I’m not proud of that.

Wait, are you saying you think I’m stupid?

NO! No. Absolutely not. Not at all. You’re veeery smart. Very smart.

And I don’t speak to women like that, like ever. Not cool.

“Ohhhhh, okay,” you laughed to yourself, leaning back into your pillows and turning on the tv. You sighed as the image of Roman Roy smugly talking to (or rather, talking at) a group of reporters flashed onto the screen. Kendall Roy stood next to him, floating around like a storm cloud. Skulking. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

Kendall practically had to shove his brother into the car to get him to stop talking. He looked like he had hit his limit with whatever Roman had been up to that day. It was actually kind of comical, just how fed up he looked. At that moment, you almost liked him.

Almost.

“No more news,” you mumbled to yourself, switching to another streaming platform. You shifted your focus from the annoying men on tv to the annoying man in your phone.

I didn’t mean to imply that. It’s just that whenever I mention it, no one seems to know where it is. But I’d say it’s safe to assume you haven’t been to Dundee.

No, Kendall. No, I have not.

Aw, would you look at that? We’re on a first name basis now 🙂🎉

You smiled at your phone like an idiot.

I think we’re far past that, but don’t let it get to your head.

By the way, you have no room to talk when it comes to making assumptions about people. Just fyi.

You enjoyed talking to him. You really did.

That was the thing, though. You were talking, but you weren’t really talking. It was all virtual. You had known this man for several weeks now, but still had yet to hear his voice or see his face. Twitter was the one and only platform you used to communicate. You didn’t even have his phone number.

But hey, I was wondering…

Would you like to maybe go someday?

Not sure, I don’t know much about it. I’d have to look into it.

Wait, do you mean with YOU?

Unless you know some other handsome guy who could show you around Dundee.

Um, what?

It was just so absurd. Maybe he was being hyperbolic? He had to have been. Or maybe he was just trying to show off how worldly he was. Kendall had a tendency to do that. He could be so flippant about things that were unattainable for the average person—traveling all around the world, buying the most expensive headphones known to man. You got the impression that he was either very well-off or at least trying to appear that way.

Ummmmmm…I’ve known you for approximately 12 minutes now.

He responded within seconds.

You got up to shower and brush your teeth, leaving your phone on the nightstand. When you got back, you were amused to find that he had double texted you. Or multi-texted, rather…if that was even a word. Either or, he was backpedaling big time.

KIDDING!

Sort of. Mostly!!

I was only partially serious.

I can leave you alone if you want me to.

Omg, it’s fine. Geez lol. Calm down over there. We can do a rain check on Dundee. Y’know, for when we actually know what the other person looks like.

You’re curious about that, aren’t you? You’ve mentioned it a couple of times now.

That you had. Kendall had been very cagey about showing you a photo of himself. He attributed this to being insecure about his appearance. You had tried to reassure him that you didn’t care how he looked, but he would always come back with a “if you don't care, why are you asking to see what I look like in the first place???”

When you said that you didn’t really care what he looked like, it wasn’t that you weren’t curious about how he looked at all. What you didn’t care about was whether he was attractive to you or not. It wasn’t like you were using Twitter as a dating app. Besides, you could barely call him a friend. He was more of a friendly acquaintance than anything. You barely knew who he was, what his life was like.

The extent of which you knew about Kendall’s life:

He worked “in the corporate sector,” whatever that meant.

He traveled a lot for work.

He was big on trends—fashion, music, and otherwise.

He didn’t like to talk about his family.

He seemed to really like talking to you.

I don’t really have any other internet friends. It’s just odd. We’ve been talking for weeks but we’ve never even actually spoken to one another.

Aren’t you curious, too?

Uh oh. I didn’t think people your age still spoke to each other anymore.

You were suddenly hit with a reminder that Kendall was quite a bit older than you, at least a decade or more. In the back of your mind, you were suspicious of his motivations—mostly, his maturity level. You were a fully grown adult, but you were surprised that you even connected with him in the first place. He always seemed to know just what to say, just the right questions to ask. Sometimes he would suggest that you make certain plans that you had already made. It was like he had taken a peek inside your diary, or that long lost planner of yours.

Your planner. Oh, how you missed it.

You had been searching high and low for that thing for weeks now. It had been so oddly satisfying, scribbling important dates and times onto those pages. You were a visual learner. Writing things down that you needed to know helped you recall the details easier. The book sometimes got annoying to haul around with you, but you just couldn’t catch onto an electronic calendar.

You didn’t hate it or anything. You just liked to doodle.

It helped to purge some anxious energy. And lately, you really could’ve used an outlet to purge some anxious energy.

You were starting to give up hope that it would ever be found. You would probably just have to buy a new one.

Uh oh. I forgot that you’re ancient compared to me.

OUCH.

Rude.

Only kidding, Kenny. 40 isn’t old at all (are you 40?). You started the joke, though, so I felt like I had to follow through with it.

Kenny? I’m Kenny to you now?

My best friend calls me that.

Well, he’s got competition now, I guess.

I’ll have to tell him that. I’m gonna tell him that. Do you care if I tell him that?

You chuckled.

You didn’t answer my question, though. How old are you, exactly? You only gave me a general estimate. You never give me an actual answer when I ask.

You could see the little text bubble indicating that he was typing. It popped up, then disappeared; popped up, then disappeared. This went on for several minutes.

Please tell me you’re not actually like sixty or something. Have you been lying to me about your age?

Would you stop talking to me if I told you I was 40?

Um, no? Why would I do that? You already told me you were in your late thirties, early forties.

It’s just a pretty big age gap, is all.

So what? It’s not like we’re getting married or something.

We’re friends.

There was another long pause in between messages.

Yeah. Friends.

I’d like to give you my number, if you ever want to talk.

*Actually* talk, like you said.

I think I’d like that.

“Yeah,” you mumbled to yourself. “I think I would, too.”

Around forty five minutes later, you called.

His voice was deeper than you thought it would be.

It wasn't in a bad way.

“Oh my god. Hold on. Is that Kendall Roy next to you?” you asked, your voice rising an octave. “You met him? You met him? Is that why you’re always talking about him like he’s god’s gift to humanity?”

There were many times throughout Kendall’s life in which he felt a pit in his stomach, but he had never felt quite like this.

This was just…weird.

“Um,” Kendall stammered, nearly dropping his phone. “Well, I uh—”

He had gone back and forth about it many times, whether or not to reveal his identity to you. He knew he would have to bite the bullet at some point, but he had not prepared for this. Texting you a photo of himself with Greg looming in the background was probably not his best idea.

He figured you would catch onto who he was once you saw the photo. It shouldn’t have been that hard to piece together, given all the things you’d talked about. He had brought up the Roys with you multiple times now. And well...fuck. His name was Kendall.

He wanted to tell you the truth. He really did. He just wasn’t sure how to broach the subject, or if this was even the right way to do it. Stalling was certainly a viable option. He could always send you the photo, pretend it was a joke, and ask you to wait a little longer before he showed you who he was. He seriously considered it.

“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me!” you exclaimed. “Wow. Kenny, either you are very, very tall or he is very, very short. Or maybe both? You’re absolutely towering over him in this photo.”

Ouch.

“You don’t look 40, though. It’s kind of creepy. Not that you look bad or anything! You look…nice.”

You were rambling. Nervous. Why were you nervous?

And then, he got it.

Awkward as he was, Greg was actually kind of photogenic. Kendall could tell by your tone that you were pleasantly surprised; at this, he was instantly annoyed. He thought he looked nice in that photo. Not Greg.

What, you liked guys like Greg? Greg?

“What kind of skincare routine are you doing?” you asked. "This is wild."

In the next ten seconds, Kendall did something he never thought he would do.

“Um…yeah. I uh…I get that all the time. I don’t use anything special. It’s just...genetics.”

Oh, fuck me.

Happy Friday everyone! We are in the final 5 episodes of S1. Can't believe it. Thank you to everyone who's been on this ride with me.

1x16 Greenlight

Let me start with this. This is the episode I always dread watching for s1. Not cause it isn’t good. Its very good. Heartbreaking but well done. Always makes me cry with Capt Anderson... Well off we go. FYI This episode was sadly a gif desert. Which is sad since it's Zoe Anderson's Swan Song. So I'm going to be using a lot of screen shots I took with my phone to fill the gaps ha.

Episode starts off with Capt Anderson telling them all about doing reversals this week. Having undercover cops making sure everyone is on the up and up. Reporting back to IA what they discover. Tim isn’t a fan of these. Feels it’s just cops ratting out other cops. Think's its a waste of time and resources.

Lucy needless to say has an opinion on the matter. She thinks if it helps their image to the public she doesn’t see the problem. That it even sounds like its worth doing. Tim being the deeply loyal person he is doesn’t see it that way. (He also has some past issues with IA) He sees it as a betrayal not something that will help them in the long run internally. Tim goes on to say it has to do with trust. How can they trust one another if they’re trying to get each other to screw up?

Lucy makes a crack about his Tim tests in her rebuttal. You can see it rubs him the wrong way when she does. Always challenging him. I do love that about her. Makes him think about why he does what he does. His heart is in the right place when it comes to those tests. Especially with Lucy. I think whenever she gives him crap for his tests it unintentionally brings up his dad issues. Its why he's so defensive. That's far in the future those being addressed but I think it still holds true. Clearly she has no idea she's doing that. He sure as hell doesn't realize thats the reason yet either. But that's a discussion to be had in the distant future.

To Tim he’s building her up to be the best cop she can be. Doing it to protect her for when she’s on her own someday. To have Lucy reach the potential he see's in her. If he didn’t do that he would fail her as her T.O. So once again his intentions are good natured when to comes to that. To her. For Tim its giving her the best tools he can. Lucy knows this but can’t help but give him a hard time about it. She wouldn't be her if she didn’t do this. Hehe it’s written all over her face in that last gif above.

First off I love me some wet Tim Bradford. A+ visual right here. Second Lucy is so cute being all star struck by Mario Lopez. It is funny to watch Tim be rude to him. Because Mario and Eric are close in real life. Sure they both had a blast filming this scene. That cute little smile on her face dissipates when Tim hands her back his stuff.

She knows it’s right back to business. Mario takes the worst tactic he could with them. Honestly its what gives him away. By trying to bribe his way out of his ticket. Tim is already on edge due to these reversals and this sets him off. As he is reading Mario the riot act he realizes this is a reversal. Then he looks over and see’s Murphy from IA in her car across the street. He sets off to talk with her.

She makes a bitchy comment right off the bat. That if she knew it was going to be him, she would’ve put a strung out cop behind the wheel. He would let them get away with it then. I want to punch her in the damn face. He’s worked so hard to get past all that and she’s drudging it up like it’s nothing. There is a history there we don't know about just yet as the viewer. All I do know is I do NOT like her.

After this Tim goes fully off and lists a million different ways to write him up. Lucy just stands there not sure if he’s serious or not. Poor Tim…Murphy pulling at the sutures of his emotional wound so he’s lashing out. Lucy has no idea what she said to him or why he's going off. Mario's reaction to the laundry list of offenses is too funny.

They later respond to a break in at a grow house. Guy who broke in is stuck in a bear trap. Tim was already on edge before but after his talk with Murphy he’s off the charts. Guy says he’ll split half the crop with them if they let him go. Lucy laughs and Tim says ‘Ok’ her reaction is hilarious LOL

He mentions Detective Murphy and reporting back to her. See if she would like that deal. The guy is confused af as is Lucy. It’s shortly after that she realizes Tim thinks this is another reversal. Murphy got in his head so quickly makes me sad. Has Tim all turned around and he's convinced this is a second reversal. He tries to remove the bear trap from the guys legs thinking its a fake. Tim quickly realizes it’s real...and the guy passes out.

They get back to the station and Lucy says he’s lucky that guy gonna keep his leg. It's clear he isn't in the moods for jokes. Tim is agitated and replies it’s the reversals not him. That Murphy has gotten in his head. (To say the least love) Otherwise he would've realized that guys injury was real. Lucy can sense there is more going on here than he’s saying. No one has ever been able to read Tim Bradford the way she does. She knows its more than just the reversals that is under his skin.

Lucy asks what went down between him and Detective Murphy? She's trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Wondering what is at the root of his anger today. She asks if he was investigated by her or something. He tries to be vague and say ‘Indirectly...’ It’s then Lucy puts two and two together and realizes it’s about Isabel. She voices this thought. Tim freezes and takes a deep breath before he explains the connection she suspects.

Lucy is confused why this detective is giving him a hard time still. She doesn't understand why she's coming at him so hard. Lucy mentions he’s not Isabel so what’s her beef with him? She's coming off a little protective of him in the process. (which I love) Its her natural instinct to try and work this out with him.

Their relationship is in a weird limbo at this point. Where they aren’t friends yet, but it’s clear what they have is more than the standard T.O./Rookie relationship. They’re still establishing what’s going on between them. So things are bound to still be a little rocky especially when his personal life is involved. Regardless of this fact her concern for him and his well being is evident and she voices as such.

Sadly Tim isn’t in the headspace to receive it and snaps at her. His reply is reminiscent of his early days with her. Her reaching out only to get her head bit off. Only this time she walks away dejected, retreating to lick her emotional wounds. No retort for her. It feels like he's regressing in this moment. Tim has grown a lot but also still has a long way to go. This is showing that Isabel is still such a sore spot for him. Not only that but Murphy has gone after something dear to him. His integrity and character.

The way she popped off about Isabel was her shot at that. Tim isn’t ready to open up to Lucy right now. This a wound that has only just begun to scab over. He’s currently in his head raging and fighting demons he thought he had put to rest. Makes me more agitated with Murphy tbh. The fact that she's brought this angry insecurity out in him.

I do love Tim being the first to stand up for Nolan when he shows up after being Green-lit. Him coming back to work was a big decision. Everyone follows suit after Tim. Something sexy about him doing that to me. Probably one of the very rare times he actually admires Nolan as a cop LOL

Tim see’s the detective as they’re gearing up to go out and engages her. Asking why she’s here. The way Murphy misjudges Tim makes my blood boil. Her POV of him is so skewed. She is trying to get him to crack under pressure. She is goading him in order to get him to snap like Isabel did. Having this vendetta against him because of what happened before. It's so wrong. Like she’s never had someone she loved enough to be blind when they’ve messed up. The hurt in his eyes makes me wanna cry. You can see the shift in them from anger to shame in that first gif. Damnit Eric you’re killing me. Goes on to say she’s gonna file a conduct unbecoming complaint against him. Tim instantly gets defensive. Tells her what a Busch League move that is.

Lucy spots the way she is riling him up. Baiting him. Steps in and distracts him away from her. Such a good wifey. What I love about this scene other than the obvious protective Lucy we get to see. Its the fact she is using the same mechanisms on him that he does for her when she’s highly emotional. Tim knows she doesn’t actually need his help. That Lucy is using it as diversion but he listens. She gets him to disengage and walk away. Which is HUGE. She knows him so well and is protecting him from further battle with this woman.

The look on Lucy’s face when she basically tells a superior officer to F-off is glorious. She does this in the most Lucy way ever. Meaning business but respectful by tacking ‘ma’am ‘ on at the end haha F U with a cushion. Lucy isn’t going to let this woman throw Tim off balance anymore than she already has. She takes a stand and makes her back the hell off him. I love seeing protective Lucy. She’s watched Murphy rattle his cage all damn episode. This anger she is invoking in Tim is making him go crazy and regress.

I know his short fuse earlier with Lucy was due to this. He hasn't snapped at her like that in awhile. The detective has no idea the emotional wounds she’s re-opening. The way she’s split his focus since their first convo earlier. Or maybe she does.. Either way Lucy isn’t going to stand for it any longer. That's what this scene represents. Her shoving back best she can to give him breathing room. She has his back 100 % and will protect Tim from her. So proud of her. Standing up for him when he was too muddled to do it for himself.

We get to part of the episode I dread the most..but I have to say watching the balls on Anderson during this scene is amazing. Her and Nolan get captured by Cole and she shows no fear only confidence. Telling him what an idiot he was for capturing a police captain. She was such a BAMF till the very end. Took out his entire crew single handed. This was after she un-cuffed herself by breaking her thumb underwater.

God this scene is hard to watch every single time I have to do it. The only reason she died was an errant bullet from Cole. It’s as unfair as its gets and a very tragic end to her character. The look on her face as she falls back into the water. Ugh hurts to watch happen. If nothing else she went down like the bad ass we all know she was though. Nolan holding her as they all arrive kills me. The utter shock on all their faces when they see their captain lying there. Beyond heartbreaking.

If this scene right here doesn’t make you tear up I think you might be dead inside lol The reactions from everyone as they wheel her out. Especially Lucy and Angela. My heart. The way they’re all trying to keep it together and saluting her. That single tear Angela lets escape after she's loaded into the ambulance. Ugh hurts my heart. Such a gut punch from the writers. I remember being so shook when this first aired. Nolan telling her how sorry he is. It's all kinds of sad.

Grey comes in like a raging bull after Midas, he easily gives up his son when he finds out he’s killed their captain. Tells them where he's going to be. They all wait at a check point for him to arrive. Tim and Lucy are standing together readying themselves. Tim is trying to console her. He knows she and the Capt. were close. Had a bond.

Tim Tells her whether this guy lives or dies it won’t make things better. Lucy says she knows and he answers her you only think you do. She tells him she can’t handle him telling her that grief will make her better cop right now. His reply is perfection. ‘I'm not. Grief is grief. It’s a hole that can’t be filled. But over time, it’ll shrink enough so that you won’t fall in every time you take a step.’

You can see he reverts back to the Tim he was before his run ins with Murphy. He continues on tells her if she’s going to use anything to be a better cop it’ll be her life not her death. You can see its resonates with Lucy. The look on her face shows its hitting home. It's a damn shame this moment doesn't have a gif set. it’s a wonderful one between them.

Tim sees Detective Murphy after they arrest Cole and goes after her despite Lucy’s protests. He’s ready to throw down again when she says Grey wanted her to witness this. For IA to see how well they were going to handle it. She says she’s sorry about their Captain. That she really liked her. Also lets him know she wasn’t going forward with his conduct unbecoming complaint against him.

That he was right. It was Busch League. She turns to leave and Tim stops her. He then does something I don’t think Murphy expects. He tells her she was right too. Says Anderson would want him to say this. Which I adore so much. He's honoring her by doing this. Her impact was so profound on all of them.

I’m so damn proud of him in this scene. Look at my man continue to grow. He’s completely honest with her. Admits his part in her being an addict and not reporting it towards the end. He is so god damn sincere in the way he explains it. Gets me. Says at the end of the day she was his wife and all he wanted was to help her.

Murphy sees this and finally relents. Asking Tim how she’s doing now. He tells her she’s better. She’s clean. Murphy is also sincere and tells him she’s glad and walks away. Their conflict finally at rest. His strides forward as a character are still there. Just took a little backseat with his issues/demons being re-opened against his will. He’s not a perfect man and that's ok. Makes him so real He's a beautiful WIP. ❤️

Non Chenford Notes-

The whole SL with Anderson kills me. She had a short stint on this show but such an impactful one. I always mourn her when she goes.

Sorry for the lack of gifs there wasn’t a ton to choose from. But it’s a damn good ep none the less. Emotional af for lot of reasons. Gets me every time I rewatch it.

i manifested meeting my celebrity crush

soooo, there was this male celebrity that i really loved. still do, but yk for the purpose of this post were gonna use past tense. anyways, i really wanted to meet him and i had this way in my head that i would meet him all planned out. didn't happen cause i wasn't really manifesting it, just visualizing out of fun, but i had that slim belief that it would happen for some reason and i always kept believing that it would happen for some reason. then like 5 months later, my dad told me that we were going to a screening for a movie my celebrity was in with a q&a he would be at afterwards. i was so excited, and i could barely believe it.

fast forward to the day of the screening, it starts raining like super heavily. just my luck, the screening was cancelled. i was so upset you could not even believe. but i believed that they would reschedule it and that i would be able to go. didn't really fully believe it but i still persisted and visualized.

a month later, my dad told me that they didn't reschedule it, but that they made more dates because it was around awards season so i was able to go still!! it really worked out because the theater was a lot nicer and the place it was at was really cool.

i watched the movie, and afterwards he came out for the q&a. did not actually think i was gonna meet him though cause usually at these things they whisk the celebrities away right afterwards but like i said, i had that sliver of hope.

so after the q&a, he went down by the audience and started taking photos with people. i was about the shit myself because i realized that i was gonna get my chance to meet him. and guess what, i did! he was the sweetest person ever and called me adorable 😭😭. i cried on the way home (plus i was on my period at the time but we don't need to talk about it).

anyways yeah. that's something i manifested kind of unintentionally but still manifested it! i hope this success story helps motivate you in your journey of getting your desires.

Gustholomule: spoilers for For the Future

So we saw Matty again, got lots of him interacting with Gus and Gus friends, and we learn about three new things about him

Spoilers below

1.) He is actually a real good Leader/planer/strategist when he works at it. Wow. Well the planing thing I guess we did have some proof. His take over of the HAS was really well planed, and adapted, especially for a 13 year old who was in a completely new environment and didn’t know any allies/have friends who he knew for a fact would take his side.

Still on a note. I said in my Gus Appreciation post that the HAS club was Gus (unintentionally) at his worst. That he said he created it so he could “build a place were everybody had a voice” but if you look at the way he ran his club (only he brought things in, only he could touch things, he made himself a crown, and referred to voting as “anarchy’,) it seems more like he wanted to create a place where he was in charge of older kids and they had to listen to him. I also said that I believed leaving the club was necessary for Gus’s maturity, and that Mattholomule would be just as immature and unfair a leader as Gus. Just as surprising to me as Matt having such good ideas and plans for “New Hexsides” refuge camp, is seeing that he crossed out some of Gus’s more unfair rules and made the club more inclusive towards all members. I misjudged you Matty. Your a good club President. But you know Gus better now, you’ve seen that Gus has matured and become more considerate since. Please let him back in as a subordinate member.

2.) Matty is a dramatic AF who used a (easily smudging) marker to draw facial hair on himself, tried to get people to call him Man-Tholomule (buddy no one will ever call you that), and used a bad “dramatic twist “ theater line in the big fight when addressing a robot. HAHAHA

3.) The Big one... His name is actually Matt Tholomule. All those times when the fandom asked “ Why does he have such a weird first name?”, “How did his parents come up with it?”, “His Brother is named Steve. IS Steve short for something weird? How do you get one child with a name like “Steve” and then the next is named “Mattholomule”. Times I have personally searched his name on Tumblr and thought “ at least him having such a made up first name makes searching a character without a last name much easier”. (Note I have the same thoughts on Skara’s name. Is her full name going to turn out to be Skar A?).

But back to the matter at hand, here is one more reason, besides fan’s questions on the difference of the half brothers names, besides this meaning that the ship name Gustholomule is actually Gus’s first name attached to Matt’s last name. Even besides what that one genius poster pointed out about how Matt always calls Gus “Au-Gus-Tus” with the syllables spaced out and suggested that that was Matt trying to give Gus a really cryptic, unhelpful, hint to try putting more space in his name.

No it’s also funny because of this picture on Gus’s wall.

Matt has a party hat, so we know this was a birthday. Matt being the one in front, the one sitting down, and the absence of Willow and Luz implies that this is Matt’s birthday, and Gus is visiting his house to help celebrate it. Let’s think about that for a moment.

Did Matt’s cake not have “Happy Birthday Matt” written on it? Or if it did did Matt say/Gus think that it just said Matt because Mattholomule would take to mch room? There was nowhere in the house where Matt’s name was written out correctly and nothing saying “Tholomule Family” on it? Neither of Matt’s parents introduced themselves to Gus as “Mr./Mrs. Tholomule”? No confusion was expressed by one of them as to why Gus called their son by his full name? If Steve was able to be there he never pulled Gus to the side and said “Hey FYI Tholomule is actually our last name. My brother’s first name is just Matt.”? Going over all of that, I can only assume that Matt told is family about his little prank before inviting Gus over, and they all played along. Which would mean that the entire Tholomule family are devious, prankster, gremlins, not just Matt. This is a fact that I feel needs to be acknowledged.

Oh lastly while we are on the subject of Matt’s family this name thing just makes me think more that Mason, the construction head, is the Steve & Matt’s father and shared parent. Matt was running his father’s booth in “Covention Day” while Mason outfitted new members with construction seals. The only reason I can think of as to why such a young, inexperienced, and unsigled, witch-let would be representing a coven subgroup at such a big event: he was helping his parent. Then Mason came back before the Emperor’s coven show, because Matt wanted to attend and to try and see Steve. The reason Mason’s last name was not on the coven list, was because if we saw Mason Tholomule it would have spoiled the joke to early.
