synopsis: in which a bewildered Lyney (and Lynette!) chances upon a news article pertaining to his little brother’s apparently thriving love life. never mentions what gender the traveler is, but it’s mentioned that they look androgynous, plus they aren’t as important this time around

Lyney would say he’s up to date with the latest news.

He likes having things to talk about, and it would kill him not to be up to date! So, he reads whatever article is trending— In fact, he doesn’t even read just the famous ones! He reads some that his magician-senses tell him are going to be famous.

Really, it’s a skill he prides himself on.

Renowned diver Freminet caught on a date with a mystery woman?!

Fuck you, Charlotte, Lyney thinks, FUCK. YOU.

How could she do this? Spewing fake news.. Tsk, Lyney thought she was the most honest and authentic news reporter these days, how could he be wrong, he is so disappointed..

Oh, wait.

That’s actually Freminet in the picture.

Oh, yeah, he’s with a woman. And it’s not Lynette. And it’s not the media mistaking a Lyney in casual wear as a woman (because, yes, it has happened before).

Lyney’s jaw drops, a loud and dramatic gasp spilling from his open mouth. The traveler, sitting next to him on the bench, confusedly tilts their head.

“Calm down.” Lynette stresses. “That could be anyone.” She says, carefully removing her hair from its long ponytail.

Lyney sighs dramatically. “Exactly! How could Freminet hang out with anyone?”

In hindsight, that sounds pretty mean. 

BUT— Well, it’s Freminet!

“It’s Freminet!”

Lynette looks at him blankly. The way she did yesterday, and the day before yesterday, plus the day before the day before yesterday, and the—

“.. That.. is.. kind of right.” Lynette says, carefully, “Still, isn’t he friends with the traveler? Maybe it’s just them, and the media assumed things because of their looks.”

Lyney sighs, again. “The traveler’s hair doesn’t look like this!” He exclaims, taking out the newspaper, shoving it into Lynette’s face, and pointing at the woman— more than half her body cropped out, leaving only both her and Freminet’s heads in view.

Her head was turned to the front— back facing the camera, while Freminet’s was to the side.

Her hair was pink. Not blond. The traveler was very blond.

Lynette blinked. 

“Oh.”

“This is an intervention.” Lynette says, staring down at the reporter sitting on the chair adjacent to hers.

Lyney huffs, shrugging his shoulders with a sweet grin, “We know you’re just doing your job, but you constantly coming to us and our brother to ask about the identity of the ‘mystery woman’ in that article is bothering all of us!”

“Plus, all your attempts are futile.” Lynette says straightforwardly, “We don’t know who she is either, and Freminet says that picture was from months ago. He doesn’t remember.”

Charlotte sighs. “Do you really have no idea? Not one at all?”

For some reason, Lyney thinks she is far too dejected at the moment. So, what does he do about this feeling? Of course, he should hide it, because —

“Why does it matter so much to you, anyways?” Lynette asks abruptly.

— Gods, Lynette, Lyney exasperatedly whines in his head, have some decorum! (That was actually one of the first times he was the one to think it, and not Lynette.)

Charlotte huffs, turning her gaze to the suddenly veeery interesting floor. 

“It’s just.. Well.. We were supposed to be the ones going on dates, but now there’s this.. ‘mystery woman’,” She says the last part slightly mockingly, but Lyney and Lynette are still mentally at ‘we were supposed to be the ones going on dates’, “who probably doesn’t even know him as much as I do!”

Lyney wants to cry.

“I want to cry.” He voices.

I think one funny thing some TCF fans that are also SVSSS fans may notice or remember is that the TCF novel had it's own Shen Yuan on the EAP website🤣

I don't know how many of you guys remember but there was this one dude who would read every single chapter of TCF just to shit about the novel in the comments. EVERY. SINGLE. UPDATE. They were always complaining. Sounds familiar anyone?

Now I haven't been in the EAP website in a long time so anyone who remembers this dude and is currently reading on EAP please tell me if they're still there because I haven't heard anything about them for a while now and we all remember what happened to Shen Yuan.

the contrast would probably bewilder some people, add-in the fact he’s really muscular and then it’d even be creepy to some.

a/n: HELLO HI MILLIE i'm so sorry this took so long(i've been taking my finals) but i finally finished it!!!

this is my first time answering a request so i hope this is to your liking, there's mild swearing so proceed with caution if that isn't your thing

also i had no idea how to write any of the characters you mentioned so i had to study their characters and read fics centered around them

i wasn't entirely sure what format you wanted(bullet headcanons form or fic form) so i kind of went for a mix of both, if that's okay

WRIOTHESLEY(i learned how to spell his name right just for this)

when he first hears your voice, he is, to put it simply, taken a back.

if he's being honest, you're pretty good looking, but not exceptionally so(and it certainly doesn't help that you're in fontaine of all places).

so it comes as a surprise when you open your mouth, and the most heavenly sound wriothesley's ever heard, emerges from it.

it takes him several seconds to process it.

when he finally regains his composure, he shakes it off as just another new interesting thing in his life.

it soon becomes apparent, though, that the archons themselves unleashed you onto teyvat with the intent of bringing chaos to the land.

the two of you are playing tgc in his office, everything is going great(he's mostly winning) until you put down your deck, a serious expression on your face.

"wriothesley, i swear to the archons, if you win another game, i will shit on my first born."

okay what. just, what the actual fuck-

NEUVILETTE

being known as the aloof and serious ludex of fontaine, neuvilette has never been one for idle chat(really, it's moreso the fact that he's poor at it rather than any actual distaste for the thing).

so when he hears your voice for the first time, he thinks it notable, but decides not to comment.

however, as the two of you begin to spend more and more time together, he muses that hmm maybe he should mention it. so he does.

he doesn't want you thinking that he doesn't like your voice because he does! really, he does.

it soothes him, reminding him of the the soft gurgling sounds made by the waters of a river as waves rush past or the melodic sound of dewdrops falling off a leaf the morning after he finishes crying.

in short: neuvilette really likes your voice

but he's also incredibly concerned for its owner

the two of you will be walking around fontaine, enjoying eachother's company and discussing a confidential topic that neuvillette is privy to information concerning, you'll turn to him and say with the most casual expression on your face:

"if you tell me, i promise to give you each of my toes."

just when neuvillette thinks that he's beginning to understand humanity, he's proven wrong.

when he relays this to you, you only laugh.

privately, he's already compiled a list of all the best therapists in teyvat.

ALHAITHAM

"you have a unique voice."

that's the first thing he says upon meeting you.

well, at least he cut to the chase?

it's a secret to no one that alhaitham finds your voice amusing

he'll often introduce you to new people just to see the shock on their faces when you make, what he likes to call, one of your statements.

he, himself, was a victim of one.

he'd been reading a book about the mortal body and it's parts- fascinating stuff, really, when you walked up to him.

with the straightest face in all of teyvat, in your silky, angel-like voice, you uttered the sentence:

"only cool people don't have reproductive organs."

you proceeded to skip away as if you'd said nothing to him at all.

alhaitham was left bewildered(and a bit impressed).

synopsis: vv short drabble of malleus cause i was in a very frieren mood. wanna write separate vers for the rest of the diasomnia gang. this isn’t proofread

As a member of a long-lived species, Malleus was aware of loss. Malleus was someone who had, unfortunately, grown up knowing that any mortal he’d know, he would outlive.

As a.. rather introverted person, he had actually not been able to become close to any mortal. Of course, not including Silver.

Any time he had spoken to Silver, he did so knowing he would watch Silver grow old and eventually die before him.

He had interacted with you knowing the same.

He had only been through the loss he’d grown up knowing once. And far too early, at that.

He had barely known you for a year, yet, you had already grown so, impossibly, close.

He had barely known you for a year, before you were taken away from him. 

It’s said that when you lose someone, the first thing you forget is their voice.

Malleus, who had been preparing to lose his whole life, thought he would be ready, and he would keep the memories he cherished so deeply.

And he is mortified to realize, that he cannot remember your laugh, or that sigh you did when your friends did something, and that someday he will forget your smile, too.
