wait, listen, and obey His instructions 👌🏼
Scripture of the Day
Genesis 7-9 (NKJV)
Won’t be able to type here the whole 3 chapters, but you can read them using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
Genesis 7 - The Great Flood
God gave Noah specific instructions and Noah followed all of them.
Noah and his family waited patiently on the Lord and his instruction/command.
Noah and his family obeyed God. They trusted Him though they do not know exactly what will happen.
Genesis 8:1-19 - Noah's Deliverance
The animals - raven and dove - know when and how they can live. So, when the earth was dried already, [the dove] didn't come back anymore.
Noah waited for God to command him to go out of the ark.
Genesis 8:20-22; 9:1-17 - God's Covenant with Creation
After what happened, Noah decided to build an altar for God to worship Him.
Through Noah's offering, God made a promise that He will never cure the earth again because of man.
God blessed Noah and his family and commanded them to "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth."
As a symbol of His covenant, not only to Noah and his family but even to the future generations. He made a rainbow in the cloud. It is a sign of covenant between Him and the Earth [all the flesh of the Earth, even all the animals].
Genesis 9:18-28 - Noah and His Sons
They obeyed God to "be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth".
Ham, Noah's youngest son, saw his father's naked body but instead of covering him up, he told his brothers (Shem and Japheth). So his 2 brothers were the one who covered their father up without looking.
Because of Ham's actions, he was cursed by his son, Canaan, being cursed as a slave of Shem and Japheth.
Interpretation
Genesis 7 - The Great Flood
God gives specific instructions because He knows better and as humans, we need help from Him.
They didn't make "panguna" on what to do, they waited on God's instruction.
Most of the time what we should just do is trust God, especially when we are lost, confused, frustrated, and do not know where we are headed. Just like what Noah and his family did.
Genesis 8:1-19 - Noah's Deliverance
Part of following God's command is waiting on Him.
Genesis 8:20-22; 9:1-17 - God's Covenant with Creation
Building an altar could be a symbol of respect and honor unto God who have spared them, Noah and his family, from the great flood.
And I think, through the burnt [clean] offerings, God smelt it and it is like a reset button as well to remember that He created every thing - the Earth, all kinds of animals, and man. Which resulted to God's covenant.
Genesis 9:18-28 - Noah and His Sons
Our decisions and actions could cause us harm just like what happened to Ham and his son, Canaan.
Application
The Lord gives specific instruction, so we must actually listen and not ignore them.
Listen and obey what God has commanded you.
We should trust the Lord always.
We must wait on Him patiently and not lead our own way/life.
Be careful of our decisions and actions. We must think carefully always.
Prayer
Lord God, thank you for Your Word today although I have like questions and clarifications, I know that I won't totally understand You and Your Word. But still thank you for showing me what happened before during the time of Noah.
Help me, Lord, to be like Noah in waiting patiently on You and being obedient in what You say.
May I never forget, O God, that You ALWAYS know better, what is best for me. Also, I pray that throughout my life and even to my future children, and their children, and so on and so forth, we will all continue to trust you every single time - ups and downs. And that we won't forget how you are and have been faithful.
I'll make sure, Lord, that You'll be passed down to generation to generation. To let more people know that you are real and alive! But I know that I cannot do it at my own strength BUT with Your help, Lord, and even my future husband as well.
I pray that my future husband will put You first always. Will be aligned in You, with Your will, and obey You, God. And with that, he and I can pass on together to our future generations about You, Lord.
Thank You, Lord.
In Your Name,
Amen.

tell others about JESUS! 🗣✨
Scripture of the Day
Matthew 3 (NKJV)
Won’t be able to type here the whole chapter, but you can read it using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
John 3:1-12 - John the Baptist - Prepares the Way
John is already sharing the Word, to repent their sin and Someone is coming but that Someone is higher than him, to others.
There are a lot of people from different places heard about him, what he is sharing, and came to him to be baptized in the Jordan river. Even Pharisees and Sadducees came to him
John 3:13-17 - John Baptizes Jesus
Jesus himself went to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. John tried to stop Jesus that he is the one who needs to be baptized by Him. But Jesus permitted him, John, to baptize him.
When Jesus was baptized, He saw the Spirit of God and He (they?) heard a voice that came from heaven, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Interpretation
John 3:1-12 - John the Baptist - Prepares the Way
John the Baptist is anointed by God to prepare the way for Jesus, to let the people know that they will be saved. I think it is a huge duty & responsibility to prepare the way but with God's help and his dedication and belief in what he's sharing, he did what he was told to.
Preaching God's Word is not an easy task even of today's time. A lot of people will judge you, discriminate you, question you (I guess more one questioning God's Word), and more. But let's not forget that we have the responsibility, we are accountable in the lives of people, especially to those whom we know even the ones whom we pass by. We can share Jesus, His Word by living like Him, by being Christlike. It won't be easy, but with the Lord in us and with us, we can do it because with Him NOTHING is IMPOSSIBLE.
John 3:13-17 - John Baptizes Jesus
Jesus, the one and only perfect Son of the Lord, was indeed sent by God to save us.
Application
As children of God, let us altogether preach His Word wherever we are, whoever we are with. We are called to be the light and share that light to others. I'm not saying we are Jesus and that we'll be the one to save them. We are only being used as instruments by the Lord because we are humans, too, and I think He knows that we know how we can touch others. So it'll be through us WITH God's help that the people will know Him, believe in Him, and follow Him.
Let's keep on sharing Him, His Word despite what we are going through or whatever circumstance that. we [will] face.
Prayer
Thank you, God, for you Word tonight. It is truly a reminder for me/us to keep on sharing Your Word, that we should not stop whatever obstacles we face. And we should take John the Baptist's example for he shared You, Your Word, prepared Your way to different places with different people around him. Give us the strength, Lord God, to not be afraid, to not be scared but have the courage to preach Your Word, to live this life that you have lent us how You want us to live it.
I pray, O God, that all Your people will work together as one to glorify You, to do what is right and pleasant in Your eyes, to advance your kingdom, Lord.
In Your Name,
Amen.

God's forgiveness, God's love ❤️
Scripture of the Day
Genesis 4-6 (NKJV)
Won’t be able to type here the whole 3 chapters, but you can read them using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
Genesis 4:1-15 - Cain murders Abel
Adam and Eve was given an opportunity to bore children who are Cain, the first son, and Abel, the second. Even if they, Adam and Eve, sinned against the Lord, He still gave them a chance to live even if it was outside the garden of Eden.
Both of them had their own tasks. Cain tills the ground while Abel tends the sheep. With their work, they brought God their offerings. The Lord was happy with what Abel offered but with Cain, he wasn't. And that made Cain angry which resulted to killing his own brother.
Although the Lord knew already what happened to Abel, He still looked for him, He even asked the brother, Cain. I guess He gave. chance for Cain to come clean, to admit what he did wrong. But what happened is the opposite, he lied to God. And the result of that he was cursed by the Lord.
Nevertheless, the Lord still cared for Cain that's why He placed a mark on him so that nobody will grab the opportunity to kill him due to what he had done to Abel.
Genesis 4:16-24 - Cain's Family
It was told here the members of Cain's family. Just like his mother and father, Adam and Eve, he had a chance to have his own family despite of what he had done.
Genesis 4:25-26 - The Third Son
Despite of Abel being killed by Cain, the firstborn of Adam and Even, they were gifted by God a new son and his name is Seth.
Genesis 5 - Genealogy of Adam
It can be seen here the names of who were the sons of sons and how long they lived.
It can be found here that Noah was part of Adam's family tree. He is the son of Lamech.
Genesis 6:1-12 - Man's Wickedness and Judgment & Noah Pleases God
The Lord saw that the people on the earth were being too wicked already which made Him sad and sorry that He even made man. So He decided to wipe them out, to destroy them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah was a just man and he walked with the Lord.
Genesis 6:13-22 - The Ark's Preparation
The Lord commanded Noah to make an ark for He will destroy the people with the earth due to their wickedness, the violence, the corruption.
The Lord gave instructions to Noah on what are the measurements of the ark as well as what he should do and bring.
Noah obeyed every thing that the Lord told him to do.
Interpretation
The Lord gives chances to us even if we did wrong things. He forgives us.
The Lord cares for us and loves us even if made mistakes that can be unforgivable in the eyes of men.
The Lord provides specific instructions to us on what He wants, on what we should do for Him.
Application
We should not waste the chance that God has given us, but use it wisely.
We should be grateful for God for His unconditional love for us.
When he speaks, we must open our ears and listen well to what He is telling us. And it doesn't stop in just listening, we must also do what He has told us.
Prayer
Lord God, thank you for this new day. Thank you that I and my loved ones are doing okay despite the pandemic. Help us, O God, to not waste the chances/opportunities that you give us. Give us the strength, the courage to listen and obey You even if we don't like it or we think we cannot do it or if people belittles us, brings us down that we cannot do it... But with You, anything is possible, Lord. I pray also that we will discern what You want us to do and do it for You and for the advancement of Your kingdom.
Thank You, God.
In Your Name,
Amen.

He speaks, we MUST listen
Scripture of the Day
Matthew 2 (NKJV)
Won’t be able to type here the whole chapter, but you can read it using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
The wise men from the East followed the star for them to worship the King of the Jews wherein it lead them to Jerusalem where at that time Herod is the king.
Herod didn't like the idea/fact that someone else is a king other than him. Herod pretended that he will worship that young Child.
The wise men found where the young Child is and they were happy that they did that they fell down and worshiped Him. They gave Him treasures which are gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
They were warned through a dream not to go back to Herod and tell him where the young Child is, so they went back to their own country in a different way.
Joseph was told in a dream by an angel of the Lord to flee to Egypt because Herod will look for the young Child and destroy Him. So Joseph immediately did what he was told to do.
Herod realized that the wise men didn't come back anymore which made him angry. But I think what made him more angry is that he won't be able to destroy/kill the young Child. So what he did, he ordered that all male children aged from 2 years old and below be killed.
I guess Herod thought he was successful but he didn't know that that young Child is alive. Now when he was dead already, an angel of the Lord appeared in Joseph's dream again and told them to go to Israel for the ones who want the Child to die is already gone.
And Joseph was warned once again in a dream to go to the region of Galilee, in the the city of Nazareth. I think it's because there's something not good will happen in Judea if they push through going there.
Application
Open your eyes and ears to what the Lord is telling you.
The Lord can speak through your dreams and it'll always be the good of you.
The Lord won't let you be harmed just like what happened with Joseph, Mary, and Jesus (the young Child).
There will always be people who want you to be in danger, or not in a good status, or some wants to bring you down, and such. But with the Lord in your side, He won't let that happen.
The Lord is our protector.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for being there for us and with us. Thank you for protecting us always in every aspect. Truly you are the only God who cares for us, Your children. Although there are a lot of times that we don't obey You, You're still welcoming us with open arms. So help us God to be more mindful and really follow You wholeheartedly and of course, be more like You in a way that people will see You, know You. Thank you God for today, for the life of my loved one, and even for my life, too. Thank you for being faithful, Lord God.
In Your Name,
Amen.

Lord has a plan - listen and obey.👂🏼
Scripture of the Day
Matthew 1 (NKJV)
Won’t be able to type here the whole chapter, but you can read it using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
It came a long way to "begot" Jesus. A lot of generations had passed for the plan of the Lord to be fulfilled.
Joseph being a just man didn't want Mary to face humiliation and be the talk of the town, so he decided to not marry Mary anymore and secretly let go of her. But then, an angel appeared in Joseph's dream and told him that the Son Mary is carrying is conceived through the Holy Spirit and He will be called Jesus.
The Lord had a plan.
Interpretation
All of that had happened and is happening was and is according to the Lord's plan. He won't betray us, ever.
His plans are always for the good of us, but there will be really times that we won't understand. It's possible that Joseph was confused also with what was happening at that time, but because he believed and trusted the Lord and what the angel had told him, God's plan was fulfilled which resulted to Jesus dying on the cross and saving us from our sins. If Joseph didn't listen and obey, what could have happened to us? Could we have been saved from our sins? Or could we still be sinners without Jesus' unconditional love and unending grace?
Application
Trust God. He won't lead us into anything that would be terrible, unpleasant, or unfavorable for us and wherever He leads us it'll be for Him, for His kingdom. Well, as mentioned, it is possible that we won't always understand but still it doesn't mean that what He wants us to do or His plans aren't good for us.
Listen to Him and obey what He is telling you. Nothing will go wrong if we follow Him because we know that with Him we are in good hands. And when we do that, it'll result to something good, better, and bigger.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for this new day. Thank you that my family and I are alive, as well as my loved ones. Continue to keep us healthy although we are going through a not-so-good time right now due to my lolo being COVID-19 positive, but we know that you'll heal him as long as we do our part as well. I pray that people will be more aware with this pandemic and will follow more the authorities and do the health protocols for this is for their own safety and others, too.
I pray that you help me Lord to keep doing this, my quiet time, my Bible devotion... I know that it'll be a struggle for me in the long run, but Lord I don't want to stop and just be good at the beginning. strengthen me to do this every day and that I won't feel that this is a burden but a medium for me to know You more, "understand" You better, discern Your will for me, how to be a better person to myself and to others.
Thank you, God.
In Your Name,
Amen. ____

God the Creator and His Creation
Scripture of the Day
Genesis 1-3 (NKJV)
Won't be able to type here the whole 3 chapters, but you can read them using your Bible or via https://www.biblegateway.com/ 😊
Observation
Genesis 1-2:1-7 - History of Creation
On the 1st day, God made the light and called it day and made darkness and called it night.
On the 2nd day, God made the sky.
On the 3rd day, God made the dry ground and called it land and the water and called it seas. He also made the trees and plants.
On the 4th day, God made the two great lights, the sun and the moon. He also made the stars.
On the 5th day, God made the sea creatures and the bird in the sky.
On the 6th day, God created all kinds of living creatures - cattle, creeping thing, and beast. He also created man in His own image.
On the 7th day, God blessed and sanctified it because he rested from all His work which He created and made.
God saw His creation as good.
Genesis 2:8-25 - Life in God's Garden
God had prepared every thing even to the smallest detail. He gave authority to the man to take care of the garden of Eden and name all the animals He made.
God made every tree pleasant to the eyes and good for eating. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil wherein the latter one God commanded the man to not eat.
God saw a need -- He saw that "it is not good that man should be alone..." Thus, He created a helper for Him. He took one of the man's ribs and made it into a woman.
The man and woman were made to be together, to be as one-- to become one flesh.
Genesis 3 - The Temptation and Fall of Man
The serpent tempted the woman first and the she fell into the trap for she saw that "the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise..."
She shared the fruit that she got from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to her husband, the man. The man, without any hesitation, ate the fruit. Then that's when both of their eyes were opened and knew that they were naked. After knowing about their situation, they sewed fig leaves together as their clothes or to cover up themselves.
The man and woman were scared and afraid when they heard the the sound of the Lord walking in the garden, so they immediately hid themselves from God's presence.
God asked them first who told them that they were naked and if they ate from the tree that He told them not to eat.
The man pointed his finger to the woman and the woman pointed her finger to the serpent.
God cursed the serpent. He also said some things to the woman and the man (vv. 16-19)
The man, Adam, and the woman, Eve, were sent out of the garden of Eden by God.
God placed a cherubim and a flaming sword to guard the way to the tree of life.
Interpretation
Genesis 1-2:1-7 - History of Creation
God created every thing from scratch. He is the mastermind of all this.
God is the ONLY creator and maker of EVERY THING!
Genesis 2:8-25 - Life in God's Garden
God loved His creation, thus entrusting the man in taking care of the garden and even naming all the animals He created.
God made every tree pleasant to the eyes and good for eating. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, as well as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil wherein the latter one God commanded the man to not eat.
God made every thing and He had only one command to the made which is not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The man just had to obey God's command to Him about that.
God saw and knew what the man needed that time which resulted to giving Him someone to be with, the woman.
The man and woman are meant to be as one.
Genesis 3 - The Temptation and Fall of Man
The evil will really tempt you where he sees you are weak. He won't stop until you give in.
Maybe she thought that sharing the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to her husband was the right thing to do. Or maybe it is to "share" the consequence and punishment, since she knew beforehand that they were commanded not to eat the fruit from that tree.
God told them that they should not eat nor touch the fruit for they will die. I guess this means that the man and woman will "die" in terms of not being with God and since their eyes were opened, it was death for them because of they had the awareness already -- good and evil. And I guess that's why it was called the Fall of Man.
The man and woman disobeyed the Lord, they know deep inside of them what they did and I think that was part of the awareness that I mentioned -- knowing between good and evil. So that is why what they immediately did is hide because they know they are in the wrong. Also, I think the effect of their disobedience is pulling yourself away from God's presence because the first thing that they did was hide from His presence, right? So I think that is why, too, we do that - we hide from God, we retreat ourselves from His presence. And I guess when we go back to Him, there'll be times that we feel and think that we are not allowed or we are not worthy enough to be with Him which could be the reason that we back away or we withdraw ourselves from Him?
I think it is a good thing that He asked them first, it is not like He immediately got angry at them. That's how much God loves them, us.
I think pointing fingers doesn't do any good to anyone, even if you're the victim. I think it'd be much better to admit your wrong/s and apologize. Yet that doesn't mean that it is okay to keep doing the wrongdoings and just apologize. You have to own up your wrong and try your best to not do it again.
With our wrongdoings, there is a consequence, a punishment.
Application
No one is like God since He is the ONLY creator and maker of all.
We are tasked to take care of His creation. We are His stewards here on Earth.
The Lord already knows what we need even before we tell Him. He gives us what He needs as long as He knows that it'll help us, it'll be best for us IN HIS EYES.
The evil is everywhere. It is just waiting for the right time to get to us, especially when we are weak, when we feel that we are far from God or that God doesn't love us, which by the way is not true. He loves us for all we know, that we cannot even understand the way He shows His love towards us.
Disobeying God doesn't result to anything good. Well, it results to something bad which is what we call consequence and punishment.
When we disobey God, we tend to close ourselves, but it is never too late to confess and repent and of course, obey Him.
Prayer
Lord, I am thankful that I was able to do this again. I know it has been a long time, but here I am, again, studying and reading Your Word. Help me God to keep on doing this to know You more, to deepen my relationship with you, so that He'll reflect in me - in all that I do, say, and think, and even with how they are done.
In Your Name,
Amen ____

obey Him despite of fear 😌
Scripture of the day
Joshua 1:1-9 (NKJV)
After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: 2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall [a]divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may [b]prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[c] shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Observation
It was part of God's plan that Joshua was to be the next leader of the Israelites. It wasn't easy for Joshua to accept the huge role, but the Lord said (assured and reassured him), "...I will be with you...", "...be strong and very courageous...", "...do not be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Even before, the people were told to meditate and follow on God's word, day and night. Just like what the Lord told Joshua in verses 7-8. Thus, we are called to study, listen, obey His Word for this will help us that in whatever we'll do will be according to it.
Interpretation
God has a plan for each of us, just like what He had for Joshua. Though we may not know exactly what He has called us to do or wants us to do, but what we know is that He will be [and is] with us! It's scary to think what might be ahead of us because it is unknown, yet the Lord has told us not to be afraid for He is with us -- He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Being not afraid doesn't mean you are not allowed to be afraid anymore or you are supposed to not get scared because the Lord said He'll be with us, but it is still doing what the Lord has assigned DESPITE the fear for we are assured that He's with us as we do it, while we are in it, and even after -- which is super great, right?? 💖It just goes to show how much the Lord loves us!!!! 🤗
Application
This is a never ending one, but it is to TRUST THE LORD!!! He knows better what we are capable of, what is best for us, where we can grow and be the person He wants us to be, therefore He won't leave us all alone. He will always be there with us even if we think that He's not or that He doesn't love us anymore or that we have done lots of bad things. Yet it doesn't mean we are not to confess and repent and reflect on our actions. He's just waiting for you and me to come to Him for He has never left us. He is just there all this time...patiently waiting! 😌❤️
Let's be strong and courageous like Joshua, with the help of the Lord. It won't be easy to do things on our own, but with the Lord's guidance and presence, we can do it, we can conquer it! How wonderful, right?! 😍✨
Prayer
Lord, thank you for giving me this opportunity to do my devotion once again! ✨Thank you that I am alive today and my loved ones, too. ❤️ Thank you God for all the blessing, I may not know specifically what they are but still I am grateful.
I pray Lord that I'll be able to apply what I have learned today. I pray that I'll be able to share this to other, it may not be verbally but through my life, Lord... Whatever you have called me to do, or where to go, give me the strength to obey you, God. Help me to really put my trust in you because through you I can be strong and courageous and face the new and unknown!! It won't be easy, I know, but with You with me, that's an enough assurance that every thing will be okay (not meaning that all will be rainbows and no rain anymore).
Thank you, Lord, for today... 💖
In your Name,
Amen.

nothing & no one ❌
Scripture of the day
Romans 8:38-39(NKJV)
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is Christ Jesus our Lord.
Observation
Nothing can separate us from the our Lord. Whatever you can think of, it cannot separate us.
Interpretation
Whatever comes our way, it will not detach us from God. Whatever state we are in, it will not separate us from God as long as we are able to understand our identity in Christ and as Christians. With that, we'll easily identify what we are going through and how should we respond.
Application
Seek the Lord always and in a deeper sense to develop an intimate relationship with Him. When we do this, we can know our identity in Christ and as Christians.
Do not allow yourself to dwell in whatever you are going through.
Identify what you are feeling, what struggle you are facing and think carefully how you should respond in a godly way.
Whatever comes in our way, trust Him.
Prayer
Lord, may we not forget that You're always there for us. Whatever we go through that we think that You are not there for us or You do not care at all or that You are not a good and loving God, whatever it is Lord, help us not to dwell on it. But instead think of all the good things that You have done in & for us and how You have been faithful to us every single day. We might not see all the things that You worked for us and working for us for our greater good, but remind us that You have done more and you are still doing more for us and that we can and should trust you always.
Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings. May we share it to others, especially those who are in need. And through us, people may see You. Use us as instruments for your glory.
In Your Name, Amen. ____

forgive, forgive, forgive 💖
Scripture of the day
Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV)
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Observation
As children of God, we are commanded to be kind, gentle and forgiving to one another just like how He has forgave us. God did these for and to us. What a loving God we have!
Interpretation
We have duties to do as children of the Lord. We have commandments to obey. These duties, commandments are from the Lord written in the Holy Bible for us to do, to obey. We are called to obey the Lord and live this God-given life Christ-like. Even if someone has done something bad to us or to someone we love, it is inevitable for us to be hurt, to be in pain, to get angry and whatnot. While the Lord is not telling us that we are not allowed to feel those, but He is telling us to extend grace to that person who have inflicted pain in us... The Lord told us to forgive. Forgiving the person does not mean that the pain will be gone, you won't be hurt anymore because of it for it will take a very long while. But if you have chosen to forgive, you let go your anger, the pain, the desire to get even. We can do this through the Lord's help for He has done this to us as well. So who are we not to do it to others??
Application
Be kind.
Be gentle.
Forgive yourself and others.
"...whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them..." (Matt. 7:12; NKJV)
Let go of the pain, the hurt, the anger, the resentment, etc.
Free the prisoner (the person who have hurt you) and yourself.
Let go and let God.
Prayer
Lord God, thank you for this another day, another opportunity, another reminder. Thank you for your Word today.
Help us, O God, to forgive others, be kind to others... It's not easy as it seems when we say it, but Lord it is through You that we'll be able to do these... Because again, we cannot do this on our own for we need You. Without You, we are nothing. Guide us every day to obey your commands and that we will be faithful until the very end whatever storm in life that we will face. Strengthen us, God, and be our strength. May we trust You always....
In Your Name, Amen. ____

handle anger 😡🤬 in a ✨godly way✨ 😌
Scriptures of the day
Ephesians 4:26-27 (NKJV)
"Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.
James 1:19 (NKJV)
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
Proverbs 14:17 (NKJV)
A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, And a man of wicked intentions is hated.
Proverbs 15:1 (NKJV)
A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (NKJV)
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
Ephesians 4:32 (NKJV)
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Observation
We should not let our anger get over us. When allow that to happen, foolish acts might happen, we might hurt others or even ourselves.
We should be patient, gentle, kind, and forgiving to one another just like how the Lord is to us.
Interpretation
Anger is an emotion that can break you and/or others. Anger can hurt us. Being angry will not help us in how we treat others.
Yes, we can be angry. We are allowed to feel that emotion. BUT we must be careful how we get angry, how we respond to anger because we can do it in God's way instead of shouting, uttering harsh words that most of the time we do not really mean.
We can respond to anger in a godly way by His grace-- and only by His grace. With that, we can save ourselves, our cherished relationships with family and friendships with friends
Application
So, how can we can respond to anger in God's way?:
Slowly. "Be slow to anger" (James 1:19). "A man of quick temper acts foolishly." (Prov. 14:17a)
Calmly. "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." (Prov. 15:1)
Lovingly. "Love is patient and kind...it is not irritable or resentful." (1 Cor. 13:4-5)
Gracefully. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." (Eph. 4:32)
- from the Bible app, How God's Love Will Change Us plan
If we do these consistently, I believe, there'll be beautiful changes that can happen in your life and in your relationships with others.
Let's give our best to put these into practice. It might be difficult at first, but we know that it is for the best, it is for the better of everyone.
Prayer
Lord, as we are still here in this imperfect world, help us to respond in Your way when we get angry or we feel that anger coming... We know that we cannot do it on our own but with Your help, Your grace, we'll be able to do so... It won't be easy as 123 or ABC, but give us the strength, guide us towards the right path, towards You, towards the right things that we should do or say.
Help us to be more kind to others, forgive those who have sinned against us, be more patient... I know that this will be a challenge for some, if not for most of us... So, guide us O God... Continue to lead us and drive our life...

help others, develop ministry[ies] 🤗
Scripture of the day
Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV)
And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Observation
The said people in the verse, they are there to equip the people as well to work in the ministry and to edify them in their spiritual life.
Interpretation
The apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are not made, are not in the church to solely lead the church, to take over the church but they are made to aid the people of the Lord to do His work (His ministry). But not only do the ministry but, most importantly, is to develop it. They'll be able to do this by equipping, empowering, encouraging, coaching the people of the Lord.
The church and the ministry are not only for those who are excellent in the field, knowledgeable in the skills needed in the ministry but it is made for everyone. It is created by God to worship Him, to exalt His name not to make it into like clubs or whatnot. That's why those people (apostles, pastors, teachers, etc.) are there to guide us, to help us hone what is needed to be hone to develop the ministry, to enhance it. So that more people will get to know Christ, more people will be equipped and encouraged to serve the Lord. And as they do this, this will be of help in their spiritual life, in their personal relationship with the Lord.
Application
Aid others. Equip them in doing the work of the Lord and to develop the ministry(ies).
The church is not a club. Ministries are not clubs and, especially, not for professionals only. It is for everyone AS LONG AS they are already equipped and ready to be in it and do it.
Be an encourager to everyone even if they are not a believer of Christ.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for today. Thank you for the life that You have given us. It may be temporary but help us not to focus on the things of this world, but on what really matters-- You. To share You to others, to let others know You that you are the living God and to do things that is for the advancement of Your kingdom, things that have eternal value.
Continue to help us be of guide to others as well when we do Your work, O God. Remind us that Your work is not for those who have been a believer for a long time nor for professionals nor for pastors only, etc. But Your work, everybody is welcome to join and work together in Your name to expand more Your kingdom, to spread the Truth... Work in us, O God, so that other may see You in us and through us. Help us to be humble always and we can do it through Your Holy Spirit. We cannot do this alone, Lord...
Lead the way, Lord.. Lead our lives. Lead my life.
In Your Name, Amen. ____

who am I?
Dear diary,
In connection with what I just posted... I feel and think, I don't know who I am anymore...
Is this because I feel [am] lost? I feel [am] stuck? I feel [am] confused?
I don't know anymore...
Who am I?
I just feel like I do not know myself anymore in a deeper sense...
It feels like I am just walking around as the person who I am before? Or as someone whom the people want??
Am I really just this?
I want to be more, but how?
I want to have my own identity, but I'm not quite sure how to identify that...
And as I go through this, I want to deepen more my personal relationship with the Lord, unleash who I am in Him, with Him.. In a way that I won't see myself as a hypocrite... Because what matters is what I am, who I am when no one is looking. Because the Lord still sees me... He is the One who knows me better than anyone else, even myself... Yet I have to help myself as well to discover who I really am...
So... HOW???
I do not know.... 😔💔

just...
Dear diary,
I think, I am lost...
I am not sure where I am right now. I am not sure what I am supposed to do, what path to take. I feel stuck. I feel that I am not good enough. I feel that I am not doing something good. I feel that I lack something. I feel that I have to do something about these feelings but I do not know what. i just feel so confused.
Where am I really headed?
Where is God taking me?
Is He really leading my life... or it's me...???
I think it's me... That's why I feel chaotic. My thoughts are just everywhere.
I think I know what to do about this, but I just don't know how to start, when to start. It just feels like I am being hypocrite not only to the Lord but most especially to myself...
I have to sort this out. I need to solve this. But I know I cannot do it alone... I need help...
Help...
Firstly, from the Lord.. Then, myself.. I need to help myself in order to get through this.. Then, maybe a support system?? But who? Who will be my support system?..... 😔💔😭It feels like I do not have anyone... Well, I know for a fact I have my family, my boyfriend, my close friends... but I don't know. It still feels that I am just alone. I. am. alone.
With that, it pains me. It feels like I am drowning in my own thoughts and feelings... That's why I needed to let it out because my head is just overwhelmed, it's overflowing with all these (I don't know the term for it...)
Lost. Stuck. Confused.
Where to next???
help....

He is powerful! 🤩
Scripture of the day
Ephesians 3: 20-21 (NKJV)
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Observation
The Lord is able. The Lord is able to exceed whatever we ask or think or even if we haven't asked it or thought about it or even if we are afraid to so, He is STILL able. Why? For He is so powerful than you and I [or anyone] can imagine. With that, we must give glory to Him and will not stop in us but pass it on to generations to generations.
Interpretation
The Lord is the ONLY one who has the power to exceed abundantly what we desire, what we ask of Him, what we plan, what we think is good for us and whatnot. He knows better what is the best for us, He can do anything--far more than we could ever imagine!! He does this through the Holy Spirit in us, Him working in us. And because of these. He deserves all the glory from all generations!
We can never be as powerful as the Lord. We can never know what is best for us. We are never able to exceed what we think we are doing right now. We are never able to be the Lord for He is the ONLY God, the only Saviour. Unless we do not follow Him and make ourselves lead this life, make ourselves the "god" of this life, so that we can do whatever we want WITHOUT Him. Which is pretty sad and, for sure, it will be a chaos.
Do not ever think that you can do this life alone, you can do anything on your own, you can have anything WITHOUT Him because without Him, WE ARE NOTHING.
Application
We must trust in the Lord.
Allow Him to work in our lives through the Holy Spirit who is within us.
Make Him your God - the God of your life, the Driver of this God-given life.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for today, for this time. Thank you for your continuous protection. Thank you for your Word today. Help me Lord God to absorb this, learn from it and share it to others. Always guide me, Lord, and remind me that you are powerful than me and that You have a plan for me. I may not understand everything Lord God, but that is because Your thought are not our thoughts and Your ways are not our ways, Father. But one thing is for sure, Your plan is not to harm us but to prosper us, Lord. Despite all the challenges in life, be the Light, O God. Help me not to be swayed by the evil and just continue to trust You all the days of my life.
In Your Name, Amen. ____

love the Lord ❤️
Scriptures of the day
Ephesians 3: 17-19 (NKJV)
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Matthew 22:37 (NKJV)
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
Observation
We must let Christ live in us. And as we let Him, we must dwell in Him, love Him. And as we do that, we share His love to others - the width, length, depth and height of it [His love]. When we do this, let us live our lives with the fullness of the Lord.
Also, as we love our Lord, it must be with our everything - heart, soul, and mind.
Interpretation
When we love the Lord, we must have that strong foundation, we must be really rooted and grounded in His love in order for us to understand what He is telling us, what He wants us to do, where He wants us to be, etc. And we must understand His love, not only by ourselves but with others as well. As we do this, as we live in this imperfect world, we will know how wide, long, deep and tall is His love for us. But we won't fully comprehend His love for us because we are only human beings. Maybe there'll be times that we do not understand what is happening and why is it happening, but that's the beauty of God's love. We do not know what to expect. We only know that He wants what is best for us and that He has planned it already.
If you love the Lord, whatever you face, you'll be able to trust Him because you know deep down that He loves you. So you know that He won't do anything to harm you.
And as we love the Lord, let us live this God-given life as how He wants us not how we want to live. We are here, we are alive because the Lord has a purpose for us. He has a calling for us. The main goal is to make Him known and of course, to advance His kingdom. We must not live this live because of or to have the worldly things - success, fame, family, career, etc. But, again, to share the Truth, to share God's love.
Furthermore, we must love the Lord with our WHOLE being. As it is mentioned in Matt. 22:37, "...love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind." It's a must that we love Him with our everything because we cannot truly and fully serve Him, obey Him, worship Him if we don't, if we are just loving Him half-heartedly. He wants us to love Him...whole-heartedly.
Application
Love the Lord, not only when things are going great in our life but even in tough times.
Love the Lord with our whole being.
Share His unconditional love to others.
How you love the Lord and comprehend His love, that is how you'll love yourself. And when & how you love yourself, that's how you'll love other.
Continuously seek Him and follow Him to know and understand more His love.
Prayer
Lord, thank you for this new day. Thank you for giving me an opportunity, once again, to study Your Word and know You more. I pray that you continue to help me in doing this every day because it has been a struggle for me to do so. Help me, O God. Also, I pray that everything that I learn, I will take it to heart, apply it and share it to others, too. Make me an instrument for others to know You. May I not be a stumbling block... Guid me, O God, and even my fellow believers to share You, Your love and grace.
In Your Name, Amen. ____
