Hello, everyone! Welcome to the concert hall.

Take your seats and silence your phones, we have the genius Min Yoongi himself to celebrate on his thirtieth birthday!

Isi (@raplinesmoon), Ryen (@kithtaehyung) and Mars (@joheunsaram) are stoked to announce the masterlist for our second BTS 30 for 30 collab. For this collaboration, we have gathered 30 fantastic writers to showcase 30 musical pieces celebrating Yoongi's brilliant mind during his birth month.

Thursday, 5th of October 2023

my Japanese composition notebook finally arrived today! I got so excited about it that I spent all afternoon + evening writing in it, practicing my kanji and going down a rabbit-hole of research about diary and letter writing in Japanese, verb conjugations, how to write on 原稿用紙、and a bunch of other random Japanese learning related stuff! for fun!!

other highlights included dancing around in my room and confusing the hell out of my cat,, the delicious garlic-herb naan I had for lunch, and my Japanese teacher's response to my homework, which was just a single line:

i get a lot of enjoyment out of relationship building! obviously this typically leans into a more romantic thing; but i'm happy with any character study, especially when it comes to including other characters/muses. i also really, really love writing drama. give me mini soap operas, y'know? as for themes - i think i tend to gravitate pretty heavily towards stuff involving rebirth and reviviscence in general? a lot of my own personal stories with my ocs involve beginning again in some way or another- which might be why i was able to pick up link so quickly? i love stuff that feels ethereal and floaty!

🎧 — do you write while listening to music/podcasts/videos/etc, or do you need total silence?

i HAVE to have music or a video i've already seen playing! i have a whole playlist on my yt account for videos i have already seen, that are at least like 40 mins long, that i can rewatch as many times as i need to in order to do stuff with. i also typically will listen to character-driven playlists, but i haven't been able to find a SINGLE SONG i associate with link yet, so he doesn't have one and i've been going off of shuffling my "characters" folder on spotify :(

this song is one of my favorites, i've been listening to it a lot recently. my favorite lyrics:

it feels like a slight cop out to pick the chorus, but this is genuinely my favorite part of the song, i love to scream sing these lines.

the man is like……. goldilocks conundrum. he doesn’t like extremes - not too cold, not too hot. he likes cold until the snow gets slushy, he likes warmth until it’s too uncomfortably sweaty to be in. he might make a comment about his discomfort if he’s stuck in the weather and has to deal with it, but at that point it’s probably almost unbearable for him if he’s admitting that much.

he loves listening to music!! him and his lil space music player and soft tunes and him <3 prob wouldn’t make playlists or anything but will put something on and just vibe while having his tea.

honestly just the process of getting ready for work or getting ready for bed sjdghsh he’s very habitual and efficient about his time. slower/calmer mornings will include some music with his tea, though, and every evening he also has tea with min before bed.
