It’s giving him a bit of praise for once, a forehead kiss or a short hug, and letting him know that you see him.

Visual with Cater Diamond is telling him how radiant he is. It’s telling him that it’s not just his attitude you find beautiful, but all of him. It’s you telling him that you’d like to get to know him more, it’s watching his face slowly shift to a vulnerable hesitation, it’s guiding him through opening up. Letting his emotions spill into greens and blues and oranges and purples, instead of the muted yellow that he actively tries to display. It’s showing him that he’s a mural of color, not just a single shade of happiness.

Deuce - Food

Food with Deuce is letting him take a bite of your sandwich and him sharing a dessert his mom sent him with you. His eyes shine when you offer to share food, lips twitching into a smile as you hold out a spoonful of your pudding. You tell him he’s so strong and reliable when he holds the food you buy for his dorm, and he flushes the same shade as the cherry pie Ace shared with you two yesterday. He blushes even harder when you kiss off a spot of sauce or whipped cream smeared on his cheek, little things he does on purpose hoping you’ll do just that.

Ace - Declaration

Declaration with Ace is listening to him spell it all out for you. He’s not going to hide how he feels about you any longer than he has to, especially not when the next day could be your last. It’s more serious than you ever thought it would be, his hands clasping yours with the subtle force of an entire ocean. He doesn’t shy away from your gaze once, but then again, how could he? He’s convinced you’re everything he’s ever wanted, so he’d hate himself forever if he didn’t tell you now.

Savanaclaw

Leona - Thank

Thanks with Leona Kingscholar is knowing that his gratitude is nonverbal. It’s knowing that even though he still acts smug and irritating, he was saved because of you. You think it’s funny how he lets you sleep in his room after Ramshackle Dorm has been taken, and you know full well he would have kicked you out immediately if you were anyone else. It’s knowing that he owes you and exploiting that just a bit, watching with amusement as he rolls his eyes at you and pretends you don't matter. It’s being the slightest bit surprised when a small golden bracelet shows up at Ramshackle once  the whole ordeal is over and Leona has gone away for Winter Break. You know it’s only a trinket to him, but the small note left with it just says thanks  and you laugh loudly when you recognize Leona’s handwriting.

Jack - Combination

Combination with Jack is helping him care for his cacti. It’s waking up early and rushing to Savanaclaw too give him a water bottle since you know he’s on a run. You join him sometimes,and you notice how he matches your pace. It’s eating together in silence when he doesn’t feel like talking much, and it’s listening to him quietly ramble  when something exciting happened. It’s noticing how his tail wags when you talk to him, and it’s holding the small acts of service he does for you close to your heart. It’s returning the favor.

Ruggie - Glow

Glow with Ruggie Bucchi is noticing how he seems to shine in the sunset. It’s being in awe of how beautiful he looks, smirking about the day’s exploits and bragging about how cool he is to you. It’s him noticing how you’re staring and making fun of you for it, but you can’t say anything back because the setting sun is framing his head like a halo. It’s realizing that you’re probably in love with him, and he’s known it longer than you have. His eyes shimmer the second you make that realization, and you know he knows. But like always, as his growing smirk lights up your world brighter than that sun ever could, you can’t bring yourself to take it that seriously.

Octavinelle

Azul - Bridge

Bridge with Azul is knowing how to communicate with him. It’s not letting him walk away, it’s chasing him whenever he feels like he’s going to shut you out, and it’s constantly making your bond stronger. It’s starting out with a tightrope and working your way towards a steel bridge. It’s holding his hand gently whenever he allows it, never pushing him too far outside his comfort zone. It’s staying with him as he holds his head in his hands, the VIP Room silent except for the sound of his quiet sobs. It’s hoping that someday, Azul will realize how beautiful he is and help build the bridge with you, where you two will watch the starry sky as it fades to a rising sun.

Jade - Script

Script with Jade Leech is being just as devious as he is. It’s playing up his act when he needs to be the poor, sad eel. It’s laughing about it later when you’re succeeded in your mission to grab whatever you needed from whomever Azul wanted it from. Jade’s eyes shine at the feeling of mutual understanding, amused that someone he thought would be so boring turns out to be much more like him. You would pretend to be disgusted if he ever compared himself to you, he knows, but would that be so bad? You’re just like him and you know it.

Floyd - Mislead

Mislead with Floyd Leech is finding him funny. You don’t run away or tiptoe around him, and he thinks you’re so interesting for that. You laugh when he makes fun of Kingscholar and you try to hide your smile when he calls Azul cringe. Nobody has ever reacted to him in this way before, since he’s known as sneaky and deceptive and known to mislead. It’s funny how you almost seem to trust him, even though you don’t, and that paradox will interest him forever. It’s giving him something to look forward to every day, a solid foundation that he never really needed but appreciates anyway.

Scarabia

Kalim - Frighten

Frighten with Kalim Al-Asim is acknowledging the evolutionary fear of heights when he takes you on a carpet ride for the first time. He’s so excited he doesn’t think about you at first, and immediately aims straight for the clouds. You shriek as he whoops, relishing the way you cling to him. It isn’t until he turns to you to ask you how the moon looks that he realizes how scared you actually are. His eyes go wide as he wraps an arm around your waist, holding you firmly as he slowly descends. You’re trying not to look down, focusing on the beautiful night sky instead, and you’re so absorbed you don’t see Kalim staring. You have the galaxies within your eyes, and he can’t help but laugh because to him, you always have.

Jamil - Scream

Scream with Jamil Viper is killing bugs for him. It’s hearing the very rare shout of surprise from the kitchen and excusing yourself from Kalim immediately. Rushing over and throwing the door open, you’re greeted by the sight of Jamil with his back pressed against the far right corner. His eyes find yours immediately and he points to the stove, whenever a spider sits on the wall. You swallow your own fear and grab the nearby spatula, slapping the hell out of the spider the second you’re close enough. Jamil is composed as he wipes the guts off the wall, and you don’t mention it as you clean off the spatula.

Pomfiore

Vil - Strain

Strain with Vil Schoenheit is watching him work so hard for the SDC. It’s watching the long hours he spends creating the absolute piece of art that is Night Raven College’s show. You give him a bottle of water with a crestfallen face as he pays you no mind. It’s admiring him, watching him soar, and watching him crash as he sees Niege. It’s listening to him check who the most beautiful person is over and over and over, frustrated by the fact that he’s denying words like ambitious, stunning, lovely, hard working, gorgeous. It’s catching him when he falls and helping him back to his feet, having those ambitious stunning lovely hard working gorgeous eyes finally fixed on you.

Rook - Worth

Worth with Rook Hunt is listening to him sing your praises every day. It’s thinking that he’s not genuine because he’s told seven other people the same thing in the last nine hours alone, but having him assure you that he is. It’s him slowly becoming more focused on you once he realizes what’s going on in that pretty head of yours, taking care to compliment the parts of you he finds the most beautiful. Now you’re confused as to why he’s spending so much time on you instead of chasing after some Savanaclaw student, but whenever you bring it up he just holds a finger to his lips and winks. It’s not understanding why he’s so fixated on you, but knowing that someday you’ll figure it out.

Epel - Hostility

Hostility with Epel Felmier is confronting Vil about how he treats Epel. It’s finding out about how Vil has demanded Epel stop speaking with the accent that makes him who he is. It’s you storming into the SDC rehearsal with fire in your eyes, all the anger directed at the one boy who organized all of this. Ace and Deuce are in shock as you storm right up to him, staring Vil Schoenheit right in the eye. Epel’s heart has stopped in his chest, the memories of Vil beating him up flooding back. Your mouth opens and words flood out, piercing and loud and ringing throughout the entire room as you jam your finger into Vil’s chest, over and over and over. Epel knows you’ll get beat up for this just like he does, but he’s so thankful that you thought he was worth fighting for.

Ignihyde

Idia - Shortage

Shortage with Idia Shroud is coming through for him when he needs someone. Ortho needs some new parts for an upgrade Idia desperately wants to do that can’t be ordered online, and Idia doesn’t want to bother Azul any more than he has to. He calls you for help, explaining his situation over the phone in soft whispers and telling you he’ll pay you back. It’s when you agree without hesitation, telling him you’ll stop by Sam’s Shop since he’s sure to have them. He sends you a message with everything he needs and a bunch of thank yous, pale face flushed with gratitude from the other side of the phone. You tell him it’s no problem, that you’d be happy to help him with the upgrade too if he needs it, and now all Idia can think about is how lucky he is to have you.

Ortho - Guest

Guest with Ortho Shroud is coming over when he wants to play a new game. Ortho doesn’t have many friends. He’s only really close to his brother, and recently he’s taken a liking to you as well. Ortho knows your time is Ortho knows your time is monopolized by Grim and a few other students (cough cough), but he’s managed to set aside an entire afternoon on the weekend to play board games with you. India has recommended a few he enjoyed to Ortho, and now he wants to play them! He’s not very competitive but finds it very amusing if you end up all fired up. It’s spending time with the school’s only robot student and treating him like a person, treatment that isn’t common at NRC.

Diasomnia

Malleus - Green

Green with Malleus is taking nighttime walks with him as fireflies light the way. His eyes shine unnaturally in the darkness, but you aren’t afraid. He knows you’re not. It’s letting his hand brush against yours, a silent question that you respond to with intertwining your fingers. It’s not saying a word as you walk, taking in the scenery as you walk side by side, one of the most powerful mages in the world holding your hand with gentleness that others will never receive from him. The thought makes you feel smug, and maybe it’s the occasional envy you feel within you when Malleus is crowded by admirers, but you quell the feeling for now. With all this plant life surrounding you and nobody else around, Malleus is yours.

Sebek - Demonstrate

Demonstrate with Sebek Zigvolt being more absorbed in his body’s closeness to yours than his instruction on how to use a sword. It’s the little gasp that leaves your mouth when he adjusts your stance, his eyebrows furrowed in concentration like he doesn’t understand what he’s doing. He pulls back with a satisfied nod, smirking as he crosses his arms. He makes some comment about even humans being able to handle swords moderately well, and you can’t bring yourself to shoot something equally as snarky back because the spot where his hands brushed your fingers and back are still burning with warmth.

Silver - Lunch

Lunch with Silver is setting up a picnic around him when you find him asleep in the courtyard. It’s waking him up so he’ll eat for once, watching as his hair falls away from his face as he sits up. Silver apologizes and thanks you in one breath, accepting the sandwich you hand him with bleary eyes. It’s selecting the best fruits you had in Ramshackle’s fridge for him and waiting anxiously for his opinion. A soft “it’s good,” it’s all you need to have your heart burst, the warmth from the sun making him seem more radiant than usual.

Lilia - Misplace

Misplace with Lilia Vanrouge is knowing he hates looking for things and stealing his jacket anyway. It’s accepting the fact that you two have the same closet at this point, and that you stealing his clothes is just as acceptable as him stealing yours. It’s explaining where his jacket went when he comes to you for help, already dreading the idea of tearing apart his room to look for such a crucial part of his uniform. It’s having him see you in it and laugh, relieved that he doesn’t have to spend useful time searching for it. It’s Lilia having to take it back from you with a promise of giving you something else to wear later.

❣️ Cherry Magic - It's cute so far, this is the first adaption where I've actually seen the original and I'm pleasantly surprised. The plot is familiar but they're adding things to it which is nice. It's extended and more explorative compared to the OG but in an endearing way. TayNew do the roles justice, I couldn't imagine a better fit tbh. And even Mark and Junior make the side couple likable who I really did not like in the original lol. Thumbs up so far 🫶🏻

We’ve all heard about kitchen magic, but how does it work?

It’s pretty simple! Every herb and spice has a meaning and magical properties.

Kitchen witchcraft consists in the use of basic ingredients to make magical recipes!

Casting spells is cool and all but I think we’d all agree that enchanting your cookies is way better!

So how do I make a spell?

It’s easy! You enchant the ingredients and follow your recipe meditating through the process and visualizing your intent.

And then you eat what you made! Or you can share it with your friends, your loved ones, offer it to the Deities you’re worshiping or to the Earth; there are many possibilities!

There are also many herbs that can help improve your health and aid you in your spiritual journey!

⛤Some useful herbs:

Cayenne: boosts metabolism.

Cilantro (Coriander): Is a good source of iron and magnesium; it has been used for thousands of years as a digestive.

Cinnamon: can help lower cholesterol.

Cumin: Is loaded with antioxidants, iron, copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, selenium, zinc, magnesium and  it also helps with insomnia.

Clove: Is an anti-fungal and alleviates toothache.

Ginger: Stimulates circulations and it is an excellent digestive, aiding in absorption of food and minimizing bloat.

Parsley: Is a nutrient-rich substance which acts as an anti-inflammatory  and antispasmodic, helping conditions from colic to indigestion.  Rub it on itchy skin for instant relief.

Thyme: Is a cure for hangovers and helps alleviate colds and bronchitis.

Turmeric: It boosts production of antioxidants and helps in the reduction of inflammation.

Sage: Very beneficial in treating gum and throat infections. Sage tea can help ease anxiety.

“Oh uh Hi,” you spoke awkwardly, trying not to stare. “Hi,” he grunted, taking a one step back, then fully retreating to his room. “I uh, I think that’s my cue to leave,” you said to Wayne.

“I hate to admit it, but I think you’re right Honey. Thank you for stopping by and for the treats.”

“Thank you for the tea, it was nice seeing you again Mr Mun-,” he gave you a raised brow, “Wayne.”

“You too Honey, I’ll be sure to stop by the shop soon.” You hummed, bidding the man goodnight and went back to your car, only then noticing Eddies van around the back of the trailer.

Well you had tried to make things better, but could only feel like you’d just made them a whole lot worse.

His body was screaming, his head was too. He ripped the towel off his body, running to his draws to find clothes. Throwing on a pair of sweatpants he paused in front of the mirror.

They were everywhere. Thick pale marks coated his skin, from his neck to his legs. Completely covered, they hadn’t faded in the last year. He let out a sob.

Falling to the floor he felt arms wrap around him, “It’s okay, Wayne’s got you. Ain’t nobody gonna hurt you again, I got you son, I got you,” the man spoke into his curls.

He didn’t know why he was crying. Maybe because she’d seen his ugliness and her face hadn’t changed. There was no malice. No disgust. Just surprise at him being there.

He’d been so cruel. So horrible. Shouted at her. Hurt her feelings. She just wanted to be kind and he pushed her away. Did that make him a monster too?

Sunday rolled around, the last sunlight of Summer dancing through the windows. Robin had been right, Steve called her this morning inviting her to a barbecue on Tuesday night. Which she happily accepted.

Opening another box, she emptied out more take away coffee cups and lids, taking the back stock to the storage room. The bell on the door rang, “Sorry we’re closed,” you said, walking to the main shop floor.

You smiled at who you came across, “Max! What are you doing here, it’s your day off!” you playfully scolded. “I have someone I want you to meet, this is El. She’s a friend of mine and is looking for a job.”

“Nice to meet you Honey,” you introduced yourself to the curly haired girl with dark ways. “Wait El? Your Hopper and Joyce’s daughter?” She nodded, a small smile on her face. “It’s nice to finally meet you, so do you have any experience?”

“Uh not really, but I’m a quick learner.”

“She’s a good baker, maybe she could help more with the pastries and cakes. Her and Joyce make the best banana bread,” Max told you.

You noticed how the redhead had decided to wear her glasses today - she wasn’t lying when she said her body needed to rest.

“Well if you’re not busy tomorrow, you’re more than welcome to have a trial morning. Me and Max can show you the ropes.”

“I would really like that.”

“Great I’ll see you both at 8am, now go and enjoy the rest of your day,” you ushered them out of the store, hushing Max when she said she’d stay and help with unloading and restocking.

You had to bake a lot today, things that needed to cool over night and be finished tomorrow. Along with changing up the Weekly Special menu, adding your aunts famous Pecan Pie with Maple Ice-cream.

Tying your hair up, you put on your apron and washed your hands. Preparing to bake cakes, and cookies along with many different fruity turnovers (mainly cherry).

Along with that you made some sandwich fillings, like pesto and put some meets into cook. It was a busy, warm and productive day. You knew Callie would be proud, you knew Scotty and the rest of your family would be too.

When your alarm went off at 6:30 you whined, not wanting to leave the soft comfort of your bed. Pulling yourself up you headed straight to the bathroom, washing your face, and brushing your teeth.

Sliding on a tighter pair of dark slacks, you tucked in your long sleeved white top, rolling the sleeves to your elbows. Tying your hair up and putting on your work shoes.

Taking a punnet of cherries out of the fridge, you headed down to the shop. Switching on the lights, you headed to the kitchen. The ovens were on straight away and you began finishing off what you began the day before.

Shortly after a knock came at the front door, heading it you were greeted by Max and El. “Morning ladies.”

“Morning,” El spoke in a sing song tone.

“Hm,” Max grunted, you’d learnt she didn’t enjoy an early rise.

You also noticed how she wore her glasses again. “Okay, so Max if you could make a start on getting the chairs down and starting up the coffee machine. I’m going to explain to El and show her the basics.”

The red head nodded, yawning into her hand and walked over to the chairs and tables. “Follow me,” you smiled at El. “So here is the kitchen, Max said you’re good at baking so you may become familiar with it very soon.

“People tend to have fruit and warm drinks in the mornings, so savoury you don’t have to worry about until the afternoon. Where I really need you is the counter - helping Max with taking orders and drinks.”

You picked up a finished tray of cookies, and heading back to the front. “You’ll be shadowing Max for today, mainly writing orders and helping her out with coffees and other hot drinks. I’ll show you how to do the cash too.”

After giving the girl a quick run down of what she had to do she smiled. “I think I can do that,” she spoke, her tone very gentle.

“Good, it’ll be great to have you. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I’m just going to finish up in the back, so you can help Max carry on setting up.”

She nodded and walked to her friend, who was labelling cakes. The pair fell into easy conversation, it was nice to see, the only ‘girlfriend’ you’d had was Diane, but she was an in-law, so you didn’t know if it counted.

Monday and Tuesday went around quickly, El did amazing on her training and started full time later on in the week. She wasn’t lying when she said she was a quick learner.

Her and Max worked great together too, you were a bit scared that they’d stand and chat all day, but they were hard workers. You were now headed to Steve’s for his barbecue.

He had said you’d meet his friends again along with some others. Max and El would be there, along with Lucas. You were looking forward to it, but could only assume that Eddie would be there - your stomach turned at the thought.

You understood why he panicked you really did, his scars weren’t anything to be ashamed off. You knew that, they’re healed wounds, but maybe Eddie was still healing from what caused them.

Pulling up to Steve’s you saw Jonathan’s car, along with Steve’s and Vickies. Eddies van nowhere to be seen. Heading to the door you knocked a few times.

“You made it!” Steve said, as he opened the door and gave you a huge hug. “You knew I was coming!” you laughed, allowing him to lead you inside. “Everyone’s out back, I’ll introduce you.”

The garden was full of new faces and familiar ones. Jonathan waved at you, coming over to greet you. “Hey,” he smiled, giving you a hug. “How’s it going?”

“Good how are you settling in?”

“I’ve jumped right into it so it’s great.”

A voice shouted your name, “Hey Robin.”

She came to you, her fingers linked with Vickies. “I wanted to formally introduce you to my wonderful girlfriend, Vickie.”

“Yeah introduce her before you get over the limit of tipsy,” Steve teased.

“Shut up Dingus,” she said, pinching the boys side. “It’s nice to meet you properly,” you said.

“You too, sorry we couldn’t last time. Bambi legs and all,” she motioned to Robin, which made you chuckled. “Hey Steve who’s this?” a curly haired teen asked.

Steve introduced you, “This is Dustin.”

“Nice to meet you,” you said.

“You’re the one everyone’s been talking about!” he exclaimed.

“Dude don’t make her uncomfortable,” Steve nudged him.

“Sorry,” he said, before turning to his friends and shouting, “Guys come here and meet her!” You face flushed slightly, but you calmed when you saw the familiar faces of Max, El and Lucas.

“Hi guys,” you waved to them. They all greeted you back. There were two more boys with them, one slightly familiar and another you were unsure of. “This is Mike,” El said.

Ah Nancy’s brother. “It’s nice to meet you Mike.”

“And you.”

“And this is my Will,” Jonathan spoke from beside you. “Oh my gosh, no way!” you exclaimed. “You’ve gotten so big!”

“It’s been a while,” he laughed shyly.

“Now all the introductions are done, would you like a beer?” he asked.

“Just the one,” you smiled. “I’m just going to say hi to Nancy and Argyle,I’ll come see you guys in a bit,” you said to the younger teens.

“How’s it going guys.” You say down next to Argyle, smiling at the pair. “Babe! It’s so good to see you again,” the boy gave you a smile, his eyes slightly red. “You too,” you smiled and the thoroughly relaxed boy.

“It’s nice to see you,” Nancy spoke.

“You too, oh my gosh I read your article yesterday. It was so interesting!” You had discovered that Nancy was a journalist for the local newspaper.

Jonathan often took the photos that would appear above her pieces, on the side of his own job. Steve plonked himself besides you, handing you a beer and resting his head on your shoulder.

“How’s Scott?” he asked.

“Good.”

“The kids?”

“Good.”

“Missing them?”

“Like you wouldn’t believe,” you sighed. Letting your head rest on his own.

“They’ll have to come and visit soon, they could all stay here. I have enough room,” he motioned to the large house. “I’ll tell him next time we talk.”

Steve went to continue talking when you heard more greetings being exchanged. “Munson! My man you made it!” Steve smiled, greeting the boy, you’d been so nervous to see.

Dressed in an old band tee, some jeans, a leather jacket. Your stomach flipped but in a very different way that you didn’t understand. You jumped when someone whispered in your ear, “Did you manage to make up?” Max.

“Well I spoke to Wayne. I need to talk to Eddie,” you told her quietly. She nodded and walked away from you, wrapping her arms around the taller boy. “Hey Red,” he smiled, like actually smiled.

He had deep smile lines near his mouth, dimples that sat perfectly on his cheeks, and slight crinkles by his eyes that you knew would result in crows feet as he got older.

It was beautiful.

Sharing greetings with everyone else, he spoke to you, “Hi,” he said.

“Hi.”

“How are you?”

“I’m doing good, you?”

“Good.” You nodded and he hummed. It was awkwardly silent.

“Well let’s start grilling,” Steve broke the tension. “I’ll come help,” you said, walking to the house with the boy. “What the hell was that?” he asked, raising his brow.

“What was what?”

“You and Eddie in the garden. What the hell?”

“It was nothing.” You began putting peppers, onions and tomatoes on skewers to make kebabs.

“Oh my god you like him!” You dropped a piece of pepper. “N-no I don’t!”

“Okay you think he’s cute at least and don’t even deny it I saw how goo-goo eyed you went when he was with Max.”

“Oh my god shush.”

“It’s true then.”

“This conversations done, go start the fire you shit head.”

“Okay okay, but we’re talking about this again.”

“Yeah yeah, whatever you say.”

You were all sat around together, some people on the ground and others on loungers, all happily munching away on delicious food.

“So you’re running the cafe?” Dustin spoke to you. “Yeah, along with Max and now El.”

Everyone smiled at that, proud of the pair of them. “How come you moved here?” he asked, taking a bite out of his food.

“Oh uh,” you began to speak.

“You don’t have to answer that,” Steve said, giving Dustin a stern look. “No it’s okay, I inherited the shop when my Aunt Callie passed, but I could only move recently.”

“Steve said you used to be a decorator.”

“I did. I decorated the whole store with his help.”

“In one week?”

“Mhm.”

“And now two of our friends work with you?”

“They do.”

“Do we get friend discounts?”

“If I say yes will you stop making me feel like I’m being interrogated by Hop?”

“Sure.”

“Then yes, you can have a friend discount.”

“Wicked.” You chuckled at the boy, he had nerve you’d give him that.

Everyone laughed at the interaction between the pair of you and the evening went on. Helping Steve clear up plates and wrap up leftovers you hear and squeal and a splash followed by, “LUCAS!”

“You coming in?” Steve asked, motioning to the water. “Probably not, might just roll up my jeans and dip my feet.”

“Fair enough,” he shrugged, taking a swig of his beer.

You did just that, sliding off your shoes and socks. Rolling up your jeans a few times, you laughed at the younger kids, currently playing chicken in the water. Max on Lucas’ shoulders and Will on Mikes.

Robin and Vickie were lounging away, smiling at one another. Argyle taking a drag of a cigarette that clearly wasn’t just a cigarette. Dustin and Steve stood in the water chatting. El held onto the side, talking to her big brother and his girlfriend.

Everyone seemed so content.

“Hi,” A voice came from behind you. Turning you head you spoke, “Hi.” It was Eddie, he began to get down next to you. “I um … I was just wondering if we could talk?”

“Yeah of course.”

Meeting the ground next to you, he sat with his knees up to his chest. “Before you say anything, I just want to say I’m sorry,” you said quickly, before he got a word out.

“Y-you’re sorry? What on earth for?”

“Well I didn’t mean to offended you, and then I was rude and then I was just at your home.”

“Sweetheart I was a dick to you. I snapped at you just because I felt insecure. You’ve been nothing, but kind and I’ve taken advantage of that. I can only apologise.”

“You have nothing to apologi-“

“Yes I do, and the trailer. I’m sorry I ran away. I just wasn’t expecting you to get there and um … my scars aren’t the nicest thing to see.”

“There’s nothing wrong with them. They’re pretty fucking cool actually. I noticed your tattoos too. How many do you have?” He seemed taken aback by your reply, “Oh uh, I’ve lost count now, when I remember I’ll let you know.”

“I’m thinking of getting one, right here,” you motioned to a space on your upper forearm. “Oh yeah, what would you get?”

“I’m looking for inspiration.”

“It’s where my first one is,” he said.

“Really?” He nodded, pulling his arm out of his jacket. His shirt was long sleeved so he rolled it up slightly so you could see. It was a demonic looking puppet with a hand controlling it.

“Wow that’s so cool,” you said, gently tracing the line work. You could feel the bumps and dips of scaring as you did so. His breath hitched and you met his gaze. Deep chocolate eyes. “Sorry,” you whispered.

“What does it mean?”

“I don’t know. Just thought it was really fucking metal.” You huffed a laugh at that, “It is, fucking metal.”

“Hey Sweetheart?” He said, rolling down his sleeve and tugging his jacket back on.

“Hm?”

“Do you think we could start over?” he asks. You smiled, introducing yourself to him. “I’m Eddie,” he grinned.

Pitaya dragon cookie x reader

Description: pitaya had gotten gifted a taste of dragon city’s finest goods from the baker themselves.

Ah, dragon city, home to some of the finest dragon hunters, and some of the best bakers on earthbread. You were one of them, a popular baker to the city and it’s locals. Baking goods each day to satisfy the customers that trampled in the establishment get a taste. Even though the bakery itself was in shambles, the food was to good to pass by without buying a treat or two. All the money you had was put into fresh ingredients and new recipes, a constant thrill in testing new products and techniques.

Though this day was a-bit different for you. Instead of staying cooped up in the bakery, you were going to try and vender a-few new samples and products you had come to love to show the customer. The stand set nicely on the side of the pathway, out of the way of passing by cookie but not to far away to be out of sight. It only took a-few minutes before you had a-few customers raising money high in the air to get the freshest of the fresh.

It had calmed down after awhile, only the crisp breeze and the odd customer accompanied you. Until a what looked to be a fruit themed cookie came bolting out a near by group and towards the stand you were placed at. You didn’t have time to quite place what flavours this cookie might be before there hand had slammed onto the front of the wood, startling you out of thought.

“I require the freshessss good you have”

The cookie spat out, leaning over the top of the table as they eyed the variety of baked treats in there packaging. Ignoring the odd snake like s accent, you begin to look through the goods that lay a-crossed the dark cherry wood table. Eyes scanned each packaging carefully, trying to figure out which would be the freshest at this time. You could hear the cookie shuffle in front of you impatiently, taping there oddly sharp fingers on the edge in front of you.

In a quick motion, you grabbed a slice of cherry brown maple butter pie, placing it carefully in front of the now delighed cookie. He examined it, which brang your nerves to a flare. Was this not the one freshest? Maybe it wasn’t the right flavour? Did I package it right? With a swift and agile approach, grabbed it and stuffed it into his cloak.

“Thisss will do cookie….thanksss”

You sighed in relief. At least you don’t have a raging cookie on your hands like last time.

“That will be 6-“

They snatched up another piece of the pie, shoving this piece as-well in there cloak. And with that, the strange cookie had left as quick as he came. You watched as they walked away, looking around hastily before stuffing both pieces in there mouth in one single bite. There eyes widened, chewing faster now and sprinting over to two other cookies.

“COOKIESSS…you have..to try these there so..delicious..ack!-“ they began to choke on the amount, now begging for berry juice. It was quite the scene that’s for sure. You had a feeling this won’t be the last you see this oddly entertaining cookie

最後は仕上げと撮影が3日間くらい徹夜して、 幻が見えたそうです(笑)。なんとかお見せでき る内容で放送することができて、ほっとしまし た。ミサイルの解除パスコードが 「HEART」 というトリックは、脚本の福島(直浩)さん���考 えてくれました。 ジョーカー的には宇宙船に名前 を書いて「必ず返しに来い」とフェニックスに言 うシーンが、見せどころだったと思います。いつ の間に名前を書いたのかと思いますが、そのシー ンに入る直前の宇宙船が映るカットでは名前を誤 魔化すために光を入れて見えなくしています。な ので、あの時点ではすでに書いてあるんですよ。

What was the most memorable moment for you other than the last episode?

最終話以外で、印象的だったことは?

There is a scene in the end of episode 50 where Spider Ace protects President D from a sniper's bullet and shows him the "DF" ring on his left hand, saying, "I have sworn my allegiance to President D." When the first picture came in, the ring on Spider Ace's middle finger was forgotten, so I asked for the picture to be redone and a ring to be added. Then somehow, I ended up with a picture of Spider Ace with the ring on his ring finger (laughs). The staff around me and I laughed hysterically and rushed to have it fixed.

第50話のラストでスナイパー幻魔の銃弾からプ レジデントDをかばったスパイダー・Aが、「オ レはプレジデントDに忠誠を誓ったんだ」と左手 の《DF》の指輪を見せる場面があります。最初 に絵が上がって来たときスパイダーAの中指に 指輪を描き忘れていたので、リテイクで指輪を追 加してもらったんですよ。そうしたらなぜか、ス パイダーAの薬指に指輪がはまった絵が上がっ て来てしまって(笑)。周りのスタッフたちと大 爆笑しつつ、慌てて直していただきました。

Hachi has to prepare food, so I think he wakes up early. It seems that Hyakkimaru is also living a proper life. It seems that Spider Ace, who is in a pumped up state after drinking coffee, will wake up early, but I feel that he will be weak in the morning if he hasn't.

Is there a character you would have liked to explore more?

では、もっと掘り下げて描いてみたかったキ ャラクターはいらっしゃいますか?

I wanted to depict how Spider Ace came to be loyal to D. I liked Spider Ace and Detective Wolfe in the original story, and I really wanted to have Detective Wolfe appear in episode 35, but there was no room for him, so I gave up on the idea. I am glad that I was able to create an interesting combination with D and Spider Ace, but I also wish I could have drawn those two in the story. With Dai Sato, who is in charge of the series composition, I was also thinking about a story about Dr. Neo's astronaut days. When he was young, he had a moment when he saw a spaceship that was disguised as a comet for a moment due to the influence of a solar flare, and from that moment he came to believe that aliens existed. It was a shame that we couldn't depict it. Neo knew Silver when he was young, and I wanted to depict that with Purple as well.

スパイダーAがDに忠誠を誓ったキッカケを 描きたかったです。 スパイダー・Aは原作でのウ ルフ刑事とのコンビが好きだったので、本当は第 35話でウルフ刑事も登場させたかったのですが、 入る隙間がなくて諦めました。そのおかげでDと スパイダー・Aという面白いコンビが出来たので よかったという思いもありますが、あのふたりも 描きたかったという気持ちもあります。シリーズ 構成の佐藤 大さんとは、ドクター・ネオの宇宙 飛行士時代のお話も考えていました。若かりしネ オが太陽フレアの影響で一瞬だけ彗星の変装が解 けた宇宙船を見た瞬間があり、そこから宇宙人は いると信じるようになったという設定だったのですが、これも描けなくてもったいなかったです。 ネオは若い頃のシルバーとも顔見知りなので、パプルも交えてその辺りを描きたかったですね。

Finally, please tell us what "Kaitou Joker" means to you, Director Teramoto.

最後に、寺本監督にとって『怪盗ジョーカとは、どんな存在なのかを教えてください。

For me, it is a special work that fulfilled my dream of directing an animated TV series. I myself have loved anime since I was a child, and even now as an adult, there are many works that I still remember as my favorites. There are still many stories I would like to tell from the original work, and if there is an opportunity, I would love to do a sequel. The staff also said that they would like to do a sequel, so I feel that "Kaitou Joker" is a work that is truly loved by everyone.

私にとっては、TVアニメの監督をやりたいと いう夢が叶った特別な作品です。私自身も小さい 頃からアニメが好きで、大人になった今も好きだ ったと思える作品がたくさんありますが、アニメ 『怪盗ジョーカー』を観てくれた子どもたちも大き くなり、いつかジョーカーたちを思い出すことが あるのかなと思うと、すごく感慨深いです。 まだ 原作でもやりたいお話がたくさんありますし、機 会があったら続編もぜひやりたいですね。スタッ フも「続編がやりたい」と言ってくださっている ので、『怪盗ジョーカー』は本当にみんなに愛され ている作品だと感じています。

Joker: That's so dirty. Do you even take baths?

ジョーカー 「おまえきったねーな。風呂とかどうしてるんだよ?」

Tsubasa: Why should I take a bath if I don't like water? You can use flames to sterilize, so there's no problem. Even the dirt burns off.

翼 「水が嫌いなのに、どうしてお風呂に入らなくちゃいけないのさ。炎を使って殺菌できるか ら問題ないよ。汚れも燃えつきるしね。」

Are you a good sleeper or a bad sleeper? Also, when you ask someone to wake you up in the morning, do you have a vision of how you want them to wake you up?

寝起きはいい方ですか? それとも悪い方 ですか? また、誰かに朝起こしてもらうと き、「こうやって起こしてほしい!」という理 想はありますか?

Joker: I can wake up on my own, so I wish people would stop pestering me. Also, when I'm ready to get up and someone tells me to hurry it up, I don't want to get up! I wonder why?

Spade: It's not good to so lazy. Because of that, everyone had to wait for breakfast.

I see... So, since the season is Spring, do you phantom thieves have a particular favorite flower?

そうなんですね・・・・・・では、季節は春ということで、怪盗の皆さんは特に好きな「花」 はありますか?

Spade: I like roses. Unlike some people, I think roses are elegant flowers.

スペード 「ボクはバラが好きかな。誰かさんと 違って品のある花だよね。」

Joker: Why are you looking at me?

ジョーカー「なんでこっち見るんだよ。」

Hachi: Certainly, such gorgeous* flowers suit you, Spade-san.

ハチ「確かにスペードさんはそういう華麗な花が似合うっスね。」

Joker：A 'curry' flower!? (Heart eyes)

ジョーカー「カレーな花?!?(目がハート)」

Hachi: Not 'curry'.

ハチ「カレー違いっス。」

*Gorgeous (華麗), pronounced 'karei', which sounds similar to 'カレー' (karee, curry). The joke lost in translation is that Hachi has said a gorgeous flower, and Joker hears 'curry' because the word sounds similar.

Tsubasa: I like the flower called Hanabi that I saw when I went to Japan. It was a beautiful flower burning in the sky.

The last time he actually baked was when he was in college and it was the cheapest form of cherry pie he could have within his situation. Now he had the financial power to buy ingredients and it was incredibly fun to do it with Nikki.

He was using the kangaroo carrier while in the grocery store, his little daughter happily pointing at random colored products and giggling whenever he picked it up, “No,no,Nikki, we have to find cherries. Mama loves cherries and I know she’d appreciate something sweet once she gets home.”

“Bbuhh,” Nikki kicks her legs while inside the carrier, shaking her little fists, “Naah! Buhbuh! Mama!”

“Yes, for mama.” he grins, picking a jar of cherries and immediately putting it back when he saw the price, “Jesus Christ, are these grown in gold?! Why are they so expensive?”

“Buuhb buaahh buh!”

“Damn,right Nikki, it’s really expensive.” he even pushes the jar further away from him with a grimace, “Well, let’s see if there’s something better and within our price range.”

Nicole just vocalizes more, chewing her little fist as Rooster walked down the aisle, not seeing the people looking his way. “Ooohh, this one is nice.” he smirks, turning the smaller jar in his hand to check the price, “And it’s cheaper, hell yeah,we are getting it Birdie.”

She giggles while moving in his chest, trying to grab the jar in his hold, “When you are older I’m going to teach you how to drink the cherry juice. It’s sweet enough to give you a lot of cavities and it might make you go into a sugar rush but,it’s worth it.” 

Nicole had no idea what he just said but she smiled nonetheless. Rooster kissed the top of her head before putting it into the basket, “Now we need…flour. Listen Birdie,I know it’s easier to buy premade pie dough,” he explains while walking away, “However, your dad, who is really smart and likes to think quickly, prefers to make them. It’s a lot more fun…and I’m going to teach you that too, you know it.”

She appeared to be excited if the way she wriggled in the kangaroo carrier was any sign, “And let’s get some treats for the pups as well,I know it’ll be very welcome.” he finally noticed some people looking his way, whispering to themselves and he just stared back. If there was one thing that Beatrice said he was, was that he could be very…intimidating if he wanted to.

And right now, he was buying groceries, with his baby daughter on his chest, so he could bake his wife a comfort cherry pie because she felt sick. He didn’t want people staring and whispering to each other when he does so. He also didn’t want to confront them with Nicole on his chest, so he just glared at them until they took a hint and slowly walked away.

Was it so strange seeing a father with his daughter just out and about?

Then again he only came to this grocery store with Beatrice…maybe that’s why people were confused about.

But in any case, it made no sense. Bradley just huffed indignantly, walking towards the dry ingredients area and ignoring the looks he got, “Well,I have an amazing time with my daughter,” he murmurs to himself, the sound making Nicole tilt her head up to look at him and grin happily, “You do too,don’t you Birdie?” she giggles while kicking her legs, “Of course you do.”

But he could hear them commenting to one another that it was so sweet that he helps his wife by taking care of their daughter. And he frowns again because he hated stuff like that. He had to admit ever since having Nicole he’s been getting some unwanted advice from the older pilots back at the base that he didn’t have to ‘join in’ certain activities because obviously it was his wife’s job to do.

And he always had a grimace when he heard that.

Because taking care of Nicole wasn’t a job, it was his responsibility. Of course, he had limited time and there were things he couldn’t be part of, but he wanted to be with Nicole and be with Beatrice, there was nothing outstanding about him taking his daughter out on a walk or bringing her to the grocery store. 

He knew he wasn’t the type of dad who’d be around often, hence why he chose to be with Nicole every second that he could. The fact he wasn’t deployed was the best thing that he could ever ask for, he couldn’t understand how the other officers didn’t seem to get how precious these moments were.

Bradley hummed, “Anyway,” he kisses Nicole’s head “Let’s get a few more things and then we can go home.” Nicole vocalized more, wriggling her little legs and he laughed when she let out a high pitched squeal as they walked away. He couldn’t get this anywhere else, he didn’t want to get this anywhere else, hell, he was able to see his daughter grow little by little.

Was it scary? Yes.

Because Nicole’s little body was getting longer, some clothes no longer fit her and she was already speaking for God’s sake. “I don’t want to think that soon enough you’ll be asked out for prom by some kid that I’ll clearly not like,” he mumbles, “But I’ll support you because you are not our property, Nikki, you are our little baby girl who just wants to have fun and dance to songs that are considered vintage…like 50 Cent.” he pauses, “Oh God, 50 Cent will be considered a throwback artist, oh Jesus Christ.”

“Buh!”

“I know right? Crazy…and you won’t know what cassete tapes are.” he makes an even more horrified face, “You won’t know what cd players are- we have to keep you up with our technology,baby girl because you’ll have no idea what half of the things me and your mother liked are.”

“Ah?”

“No,I know, I know,you’ll have your own thing,I know that.” he grabs a bag of flour and checks the weight by turning it in his hand, furrowing his brows, “But you’ll also have to know some old songs, older than me.”

He pauses again, just now hearing his own words…and he inhaled sharply, then cleared his throat, “Anyway! Let’s just ignore this conversation the best we can.” he could already feel his mental joints cracking because of what he said, “Because you won’t remember and,’ he laughs nervously, “Neither will I! So that’s great.”

“Abububuh! Dada!”

“Yes,I know, it’s crazy.” he didn’t want to talk about it anymore because the more he thought about it, the more he noticed the difference between them and their daughter’s minds would be. 

Nicole wriggled a bit more on his chest, watching everything her father put into the basket with wide eyes, reaching for the more colorful ones, tapping the outside of whatever container it was whenever Rooster held it close enough for her to touch. He smiles down at her, her curiosity was one of the cutest things he had ever seen, because she was always forward with her touching and grabbing.

Some of the toys they got were pretty good for her mind, he knew it because she always paid attention with the ones with shapes and colors. She loved colors, in anything and everything, he had a feeling that in the future she wouldn’t change at all.

But enough thinking about that.

He checked the basket, muttering the names under his breath as he recalled everything he needed, “Fresh cherries, flour, eggs,dog treats…” he hummed, “I think we got everything.” he held the basket up to double check, “Mama needs something special when she gets home.” he says as he walks away from the aisle, towards the cashiers, “And it won’t be too heavy if she gets just a slice.”

Nicole’s eyes moved from the red basket to something else, “Dada.” she turns her head to the left, wriggling and giggling even more, “Buhbuh!” 

Rooster stops moving to see what she was looking at, blinking when he noticed it was flowers. Several flowers all lined up and ready to be taken home…he licked his lower lip, “Huh…you know what.” he gently pets the top of her head, “Mama would like some flowers too.” and he turns his heel towards the several colorful bouquets, smiling at his daughter’s obvious excitement, “Alright,alright, calm down there.”

There were so many colors that Nicole was just squealing and giggling nonstop, “Okay, how about you choose one?” he pays close attention to where Nicole was looking, her tiny hand coming up to her mouth as she nommed on her fingers - which meant she was getting hungry, he shouldn’t stall there for too long - kicking her legs in the air.

Nicole’s head kept returning to the bouquet of red roses on the outer left, big and wide, probably the biggest roses he had ever seen in a while…and there were a lot of them, “Damn, at least you have good taste,Birdie.” she squeals louder when he picks it up and holds just close enough for her to touch the petals, “Okay, let’s not get too close, these have thorns and if you hurt your little hands because of it I’d lose my shit.”

But it was a beautiful bouquet, Beatrice would love it.

He smirked while turning it on his hand, counting how many roses there were and immediately having an idea for when she was ready to come back home. With the shopping finally done, he approached the known cashier who only gave him a little smile when she saw Nicole dangling at her eye level, her light irises staring at the other woman curiously.

“So you finally brought her over to meet us.” she comments, the ‘ping!’ as each item passed the scanner filling up the silence.

“Yeah, well, I figured it was time to.”

“Beatrice is working?”

“She is.” he says, gently plucking a tiny piece of paper that got stuck on Nicole’s hair, “It’s Tuesday.”

After telling him the amount, he quickly paid and waved goodbye to everyone, every single person completely ignored him and ‘awwed’ loudly when Nicole tried to mimic his movements but only managed to shake her fist up and down. “Look at you.” he murmurs as they leave the store, “You are a little bundle of joy.”

Nicole vocalized something, as if agreeing with him.

“Okay, so,” he wraps the apron around his waist, then claps his hands together, “Nikki, we are going to make a pie…and when I say we I mean me because you are too small.” he looks back to where she was, seated happily in her bouncer after having her dinner, the dogs all around her and giving him a confused stare, “When you are old enough I’ll teach you this, your grandma taught me after all.”

His mother would sometimes wake at three in the morning to bake. He’d sometimes wake up to find a full on red velvet cake sitting in the middle of the kitchen table and that was his breakfast.

Was it healthy?

No, but it was delicious and he was the only kid in his class that could say that his mom baked cakes for breakfast. He smiles fondly at the memories of his mother, who never got dirty, she rarely had one hair out of place when she cooked or baked…him however, well, that was a different story.

Carole loved watching him learn new things, laughing every time some of the batter landed on his cheek and because he’d always get embarrassed she’d just swipe some on her own cheek so he wouldn’t be alone. 

He smiles as he recalls the memories, popping the cherries’ jar open with a twist of his wrist before dropping the content inside a pot with sugar and half a lemon. These past weeks were complicated, for him mentally, because he was…confused by a lot of things, about Mav, about his mother, about what they did…but he knew he had to deal with them now, he should deal with them now because if he took too long it’d just fester and hurt him.

Beatrice was right on him starting therapy and maybe when he was able to, if he’s not deployed, he’s going to start. There’s a lot of worms that are still canned up and locked tight inside of him, he refused to let them go but if he wanted to have good mental health during their time together, this is what he had to do.

“I should stop running away from these thoughts.” he mutters as he measures the flour with his own fist - something his mother also taught, no need for spoons or anything of the sort. The dough is the easy part, normally he’d leave it in the fridge overnight but since he just now decided to do it, thirty minutes would have to do.

He looks over to Nicole to check on her, smiling the second he sees his baby girl is fast asleep, her pacifier in her mouth and the dogs all snoozing around her, like the Great Wall of Pitbulls. He stands there, looking at her for a few more seconds, admiring that little thing that was created by both of them with his eyes shining.

He was happy.

It took him a while to understand that he should feel this way, he had the right to.

He did a lot for everyone, he was always there if anyone needed a hand and sometimes he forgot to check himself. He had a great group of friends - jerks,all of them, but he says that fondly-, he had his uncle back - it was still developing but he had a good feeling about it -, and most important…he had Beatrice.

His heart still did somersaults when he thought about her, that cute smile and red cheeks had him trapped and he refused to get out. Bradley’s lips pursed in hopes it’d cover his smile, but without any success…they’ve been together for three years and yet he feels like they’ve known each other for so long.

Beatrice’s personality and self surely helped, she was kind and understanding and she wanted to help him how she could…and both of them had issues voicing their own traumas, which he could understand completely. It was almost funny how similar the two of them were…in their very own ways.

If he could go back in time and meet her again, he would. All the time, she’d be his choice all the time no matter what. His eyes were always on her, his smile only widened because of her.

He knew of her own issues, he knew she still had them - even though she got a lot better over time - and she knew he’d be there for her, just like she was for him. “Alright,” he looks down at the ball of dough, wrapping it with saran wrap and giving it a slap for good measure, ‘Now, chilling for thirty minutes and then we can worry about that later.”

It was also the time for the filling to be done, he personally liked to turn off the heat every now and again to thicken it a bit.

He looked back at Nikki to make sure she was still asleep, she was, then looked for his phone. Wiping his hand on the apron before checking if he had any messages from Bea…and he did have! She just sent him one.

Bea (20:32)

Hi Roos! Just checking on you guys :) everything okay?

Roos (20:32)

Everything great,gorgeous. How about you, you okay? Feeling sick?

Bea (20:33)

Haha,no,I’m not feeling sick.I’m super okay actually! I think whatever bug was in my stomach it finally left. So I’m really good, enjoying my break a bit, it’s really full tonight.

Roos (20:35)

More than normal?

Bea (20:35)

Yes, more than normal. Evelyn showed up, Jake hated it because he doesn’t want her around the bar…which I understand but she didn’t like it, she wasn’t going to stay long.

Bradley smiles at the message, leaning his lower back against the counter as he replies to her next messages. He had a time crunch before she came home, so the second she said goodbye he had to get back to work.

Still looking back at Nikki every once in a while, he put the cherry pie together and smirked at how nice it looked, “Perfect.” he even raised it to his eyes to check if it was perfectly symmetrical and it was, “Oh,I’m so good at this.” he didn’t like to toot his own horn, but baking and cooking has been one of his favorite hobbies for a long time.

As he places the pie in the oven, he looks back at Nicole who’s still asleep, deciding that now he had to put her back in her crib. It was already late after all and he had some other things to prepare. So he carefully placed the apron on the table, then slowly picked Nicole up from the bouncer, his daughter whined a bit as she buried her face into his neck, “Guys,” he steps over the dogs, Eleanor and Jack already standing to their feet and following him up the stairs, “Time to tuck Nikki in.”

Bradley turns the cloud lamp in the corner of the room, giving the area a bluish glow that only added to Beatrice’s painting on the walls, his daughter sleeping peacefully against him, “Oh Birdie, if it wasn’t dangerous I’d just let you sleep on me.” he murmured, “But you gotta sleep on your own bed, because it’s the right thing to do.” he kisses her brown hair and cautiously pulls her away from his neck then slowly lowers her to the mattress.

He hovers his hands above her, waiting to see if she’d wake up or not but thankfully she didn’t. Nicole just turned her head away from him and sighed happily in her sleep. Rooster closes his eyes in relief, smiling down at her, “I gotta get stuff ready for mama.” he whispers, gently brushing his fingers on her forehead, “Sleep well,Birdie.”

He steps back from the crib, petting Eleanor and Jack as they walk past him to lie close to Nicole’s crib. He meets Jolene outside, the pittie following him down the stairs, “Alright,Jojo, you have a job.” the dog tilted her head at him, “You gotta alert me when Bea comes home, I need to set everything up.”

Jolene tilted her head the other way, then boofed in agreement, earning a nice scratch under the chin, “Good girl, you’ll get some treats because of that.”

Rooster knew he had a little bit more time, so he rushed to the living room where the roses were seated. Grabbing a few of them and after making a mental route in his mind, he ripped some of the petals and dropped them to the floor, “Don’t eat those,Jojo.” he says when the pitbull tries to lick one, “These look beautiful but I needed to do this.” and he creates the perfect trail towards the kitchen, letting some of the petals flutter down to the table where the pie would be once it was done.

And it wouldn’t take too long.

He was so glad he checked the time perfectly, it’d be still warm the second Shells’ car was parked in front of their house. And since she wasn’t closing tonight, it was more than great.

He checked the pie one last time, the smell was delicious, and pulled it out of the oven with his eyes wide, “Look at this Jojo,” he whispers, “It’s a golden masterpiece.” it did look really good, the crust was perfect, the filling was bubbling and his wife was going to enjoy a Bradshaw ‘Feel Good’ Pie. 

Bradley places it right in the middle of the table on top of the hot pad, turning it a bit so the pie would be facing the threshold directly when Bea walked inside. “Perfect,” he whispers, looking down at his phone to check the time, “Perfect, she’ll be here in a few minutes!”

He didn’t know why he was so excited.

Well,maybe he did, but he couldn’t elaborate right now.

Bradley looks at himself one last time, tapping some flour that stuck to his arms as he does so, before he walks to the front door with Jolene, carefully avoiding the trail of petals. They sit down outside, his eyes moving around their neighborhood as he noticed the Christmas decoration already on the outside…they had to get their own, it’d be the second time he’d decorate the house with Beatrice and now with Nikki.

He wanted his daughter to have wonderful memories with them, especially with him. He still feared getting deployed for a year or more, hoping that whatever time it was that it’d go by quickly. He frowned, choosing to not think about that and be thankful he could spend some time with his family, especially Christmas and then the New Year in Virginia.

He knew some other officers aren’t as lucky, so he shouldn’t worry too much.

Both his head and Jolene’s turn to the car slowly approaching, his smile widening when he sees Beatrice’s head on the passenger side. He slowly stands to his feet to greet her, opening his arms and engulfing Beatrice in a bear hug, kissing her forehead and nose, then her lips, “Hi,gorgeous.” he smiles, gently swiping a strand of hair away from her forehead, “Feeling good?”

“Mhm!” she grins, turning back to look at her friend, “Thanks for the ride,Shells!”

‘Anytime,lovebirds!” the blonde tosses them a thumbs up, already driving off, “Sleep well,kids! Don’t do anything illegal!”

Beatrice rolled her eyes at her friend’s jab, about to step away to go inside but Rooster held her in place, “Brad.” she smiles confusedly, “Why are you holding me like this?”

“Close your eyes.”

“Huh?”

“Just for a little bit?” he says, already grabbing the door handle, “You’ll like it,I promise.”

Beatrice furrows her brows briefly, but lets him take hold of her hand as she closes her eyes with a little smile, a smile that only widened when he took her bag from her shoulder and opened the door. Beatrice’s feet move towards the inside, something amazing hits her nose, “The house smells great, what did you do?”

“You’ll see.” he calls Jolene inside and closes the door, “Okay,open them.”

Her eyes blink open, looking around a bit and then finally dropping to the floor where a trail of rose petals lead to the kitchen, “Roos!” she gasps while laughing, “What’s this?”

“A surprise, you weren’t feeling good.” 

“I—Rooster, what did you do? You didn’t have to do that,” but her shining eyes and bright smile said otherwise, “Oh this is so amazing!” she lets him guide her further towards the kitchen, where she couldn’t help but let out a gentle laugh once she sees what’s waiting for her, “Oh my god, you baked me pie?”

“The one and only Bradshaw Feel Good Cherry Pie.”

Her eyes squint a bit, “You just made that up.”

“Yes,yes I did.” he chuckles, “Come on, it’s still warm.”

Beatrice laughs a bit more, her eyes stopping however at the large bouquet of red roses next to the pie. “Oh…Roos…” she didn’t want to ignore his hard work, but those roses looked so beautiful she beelined directly towards it, burying her nose into the crimson petals, “Oh this is so beautiful.”

Rooster smiles as he places the plates down, “Nikki chose it.”

“She did?”

“Hmhm,” his wife is still thumbing each petal, her eyes shining with tears, “Hey…you okay?”

Beatrice sniffles, laughing weakly, ‘I’m just…this is so sweet,you didn’t have to do any of this,Roos….my God, you had fresh cherry pie waiting for me…and…and flowers! Oh…” she blushed a bright red while trying to hold back her tears, “You are just so sweet, I love you.” Beatrice turns around to meet his lips in a gentle kiss, “I love you so much.”

He grins back at her, kissing her lips just as gently, “I love you too,gorgeous. A whole fuckin’ lot…now, you want some ice cream with the pie?”

“Will you eat it with me?”

“You don’t even have to ask.”

🎞 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

🥧 Gooseberry Pie

The queen poisoned Snow before she could put it in the oven. That's the real tragedy. I've never had a gooseberry pie, but my dad has a small gooseberry bush that might produce enough for a pie some day.

🥧 Chocolate Silk Pie

Julie makes a pie in the opening of the movie while musing about how cooking brings her peace in a chaotic world. I had never had a chocolate silk pie before, but after the movie I looked up a recipe and made it. It's now one of my most requested pies at Thanksgiving. Although I like to use an oreo crust where Julie used a Graham cracker.

We aren't really shown pumpkin pasties, but they sound like mini pumpkin hand pies. I saw Binging with Babish make Treacle tart (Harry's favorite) and now it's on my wish list. I just have to order some golden syrup from the UK to make it.

Before I saw Waitress, I had made pies, but I never thought about inventing new pies. Jenna got me thinking more creatively. I've since made my own versions of her Dark Chocolate Strawberry, Chocolate Silk, Spaghetti Pie, and Ham and Cheese Quiche. FYI, one of the pies on the DVD cover has a lazy lattice, and I noticed. 👀

No joke, my therapist recommended this show to me because she knew I loved baking pies. I, of corse, immediately identified with the sad pie maker who was obsessed with making pies as a way to cope. I binged the entire series, then found out it was cancelled, and processed to mourn for the next week. I still want to try to recreate some of their signature pies. The Kiwi Cream is so pretty.

These the first video games I ever finished (my parents banned them so I didn't get to start playing until I was older). The combat still kind of scares me, but I took to the cooking right away. On my first play through, I was so excited to get Tabantha Wheat, so I could finally make pies. Wild's era Link is so much cooler because he's a pie maker. I always keep a few egg custard tarts in my inventory for some quick hearts.

shower care routine ✮ * ˚

no offence but some of u guys actually stink so here we go!!

ORDER:

hair

body (start from top to bottom)

intimate areas (ur asshole for ex.)

i recommend showering either everyday or once every two days MAX, and washing ur hair when it gets greasy (at least once a week in my opinion)

#1: HAIR

first we wet our hair THOROUGHLY, until it is soaked. OPTIONAL: wring out water from hair after each step. then we apply shampoo onto our scalp only!

u should always use a scalp massager (silicone PLEASE), bc it deep cleans ur hair and stimulates ur scalp (which is good for hair growth).

double shampooing is amazing for ur hair as it makes it last longer without going greasy, so make sure to do that.

afterwards, u can use a hair mask if u would like, but only use 1-3x a week, depending on ur hair type.

then use conditioner ONLY ON ENDS, then leaving it in for 2-5min before washing it out. once u have washed it out, either put ur hair in a claw clip or in a shower cap.

MY HAIR CARE SHOWER ROUTINE PRODUCTS:

ogx coconut or cherry blossom conditioner + shampoo

ogx argan oil hair mask

head and shoulders coconut shampoo

l’oréal dream lengths conditioner

#2: BODY

i think this part is very self explanatory, but i’ll go in depth anyway.

wash ur body TWICE, with 2 different soaps. start with a cleansing soap, such as a body wash or bar soap. after, using a loofah or a sponge/towel of ur choice (only use loofah/sponge 1-2x a week), use a scented body wash, and apply that.

REMEMBER TO WASH:

ur bellybutton

behind ur ears

back of ur neck

ur feet (everywhere, even in between ur toes)

MY BODY CARE SHOWER ROUTINE PRODUCTS:

thai bar soap (forgot the brand but it’s this coconut one and it smells so natural and amazing)

philosophy snow angel 3 in 1 bubble bath, shampoo and body wash (i use it for the body wash)

fantasy by britney spears body wash

whip it up coconut pie or vanilla milkshake (all kinds dupe from kmart)

#3: INTIMATE AREAS

when washing ur 🐱, just using water is the best option, or using an un scented soap (bar soap>>). while washing, only wash the outside part (the part where ur pubic hair grows).

the same goes for washing ur butthole, except NEVER USE A SOAP, OTHERWISE IT WILL BURN.
