Disney Executive 1- Alright, now that we are in business of making Anime, which of our Japanese properties should we adapt first.

Executive 2- How about Kingdom Hearts?

Exec 1- Too obvious.

Executive 3- What about Twisted Wonderland?

Executive 1- the mobile game that’s about a boarding school full of Disney Villain-themed pretty boys and could easily be mistaken for a dating sim?

So, which animation studios would you say are the best places to pitch an animation project? We know Nick's terrible about things, Warner Bros is going through a rough time with canning projects left and right, Netflix is going through a bad time too, and Disney has gotten some criticism too, so do wonder which studios are still good for animation.

Disney no really not being a bootlicker but while these people at WBD & Netflix are killing their animation department, Disney has been pumping animated show after another...

Industry people and animation fans won't admit it beacuse either they are still mad on either TOH cancelation or the Blue Sky shut down, or the multiple mentality Disney = Evil... but the sad truth is this.... Disney like it or not right now..... is the only one pumping original animation... ...

Besides the duo Pixar And Walt Disney Animation Studios with their films, shorts, short series based on movies and upcoming movie budget tv shows...

TAG (The Animation Union) already exists and covers animation artists & writers. The above petition is about ADDING specific production roles to the union, and asking Disney to voluntarily recognize that unionization.

don't forget during the WGA strike that animation is not covered under the WGA deals [edit: but it is covered under TAG!] and as a result animation has gotten the shortest possible end of the stick in under-staffing, under-paying, and generally turning the field into gig employment.

Disney Streaming Snags Streaming Rights For Akira Toriyama's "SandLand - The Series" Anime For Q2, 2024

Disney Streaming has announced a new Japanese anime series called “Sand Land: The Series” inspired by the Akira Toriyama manga series by the same name, The anime will be released on Hulu, Disney+ Worldwide and Star+ LATAM on Spring 2024.

The series is set in a mysterious world where humans and demons coexist, it has been a lifetime since humans ruined the environment and fell into a state of constant war. A parched desert now covers the globe, and water is the most precious resource. The Royal Army, serving under the King, controls the only known source of water. Those transporting the vital fluid through the dry wastelands find themselves beset by demons (who get thirsty too, you know). Among them is Beelzebub, the demon prince, son of Satan himself — and you know Beelzebub is a bad one because he doesn’t respect bedtime, and often doesn’t brush his teeth. When the stern, no-nonsense Sheriff Rao visits the demons’ village, and asks for their help in locating a fabled oasis (thus bypassing the tyrannical king’s control of all remaining water), it’s Beelzebub and the grizzled old demon Thief who join him on this desperate, dangerous quest. They’re not long out of town when their troubles really begin!

“Sand Land” is directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima and Hiroshi Kojina at animation production houses Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and Anima Estudios.

kind of wanna reinforce this here. because i’ve seen ai writing become so popular on tik tok.

ai writing is not okay.

it’s literally theft. just like how ai art steals, ai writing steals. it’s using authors’ very real work to generate whatever you type in. and this also needs to be said as well.

writing is a form of art. fanfiction is a form of literature.

seeing this all over my fyp is REALLY discouraging. fanfic itself is already a labor of love and we love it when you interact. but please do not use ai writing for your fanfic needs when this writing literally steals from fanfic authors.
