Hey folks!

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to you today because I could really use your help. I'm in a bit of a bind right now and I need some help paying my rent. I hate to ask for help, but I'm really in a tough spot and I'm not sure what else to do.

Here's the deal: I've hit a rough patch and I'm struggling to make ends meet. I've been working hard and doing everything I can to keep up with my bills, but it's just not enough. I've fallen behind on my rent and I need to come up with the money ASAP or I might lose my place.

Hi! My name is Márcia and I am 24 years old. I am currently in my journey through an administration professional course. A paid course who helps people struggling with their professional career and opens new opportunities in the job market. Before I was in college but unfortunately couldn't complete my graduation due to various health and financial problems, I had to pay for two dental surgeries in a short time and my mental health got worse. I also struggle with severe anxiety, insomnia and depression, I can't concentrate on subjects by myself, I can't sleep without interruptions, I have many panic and anxiety attacks during my daily life and need metrication to control all of it. After quitting college I managed to get a shady job for a while which helped pay my bills and to get help from a therapist who I am currently being followed by, but recently I lost my job and my money isn't much to keep up with bills, therapy and especially medication. My family is out of the picture, the only two people who truly helped me were my grandparents but unfortunately they're gone and my mother doesn't believe in my mental illness, says I'm just lazy, not interested in my life and that I am just living off my girlfriend. The only person that has helped me after my grandparents is my partner, but I don't want to keep asking her for money not because of what my mother says but because I know she also needs it for her own expenses and medication because she too suffers from chronic depression, needs medication and therapy and without those she is unable to do her job, I don't want her to neglect what she needs and risk losing the only job supporting us. It's really difficult to get a job without a degree where I live and when I do it's only temporary, 1-3 months maximum. But now that I have saved a little and I am stable I wanted to try again and finish my studies but I need help playing the long term bills. In the meantime I won't stop looking for a job and try to manage both things. Finally, thank you so much if you decide to help and if you can't donate anything, sharing always helps! So nice to meet you all,

My name is Li. I'm a junior at the University of Houston and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Digital Media.

I recently was given the amazing opportunity to do a ten-week summer internship in Tokyo, Japan, where I would get to work under professional photographers and gallery owners and learn everything I can about the art world in East Asia. I'd also get to count this amazing experience as a sort of independent study and be able to get class credit for it.

Here's where I need help.

While I did receive a scholarship, it unfortunately only covers about half of the program tuition, with the rest I have to come up with myself.

I'm a broke college student without a job and I have less than 3 months to cough this up.

The funds I'm asking for would be used to pay for the remaining program tuition, as well as cover a round-trip flight.

I'd appreciate the help, I want to work as a photojournalist after I graduate and this would give me some great experience.

my local government has refused to pay me for 2 months now and i’ve been unemployed for a bit.

i’ve been unable to go back to my old job or a regular 9-5 due to fits of chronic depression, a mild add diagnosis and an uncertain bpd diagnosis + a formerly toxic work environment that i was bullied in relentlessly by my supervisor for not being up to her standards due to, well, unmedicated add, which has left me quite scarred and gives me severe panic attacks.

Please Help Me Regain Financial Stability

Hello, my name is Caitlin. On August 10th, 2020, my mom passed away from complications of a heart attack she had a week prior. Since then, I have been working hard to stay afloat and desperately trying to handle all of the expenses I’ve now had to take on. My mom had been the one in charge of all of the major finances such as the utilities, the mortgage, insurance, etc. while I would be in charge of the lesser ones such as groceries, vet care for our cats, and my phone. She didn’t want me to worry about the larger bills until I found a steady job and got to save some money to act as a cushion in case of an emergency.

Shortly after her passing, I received help from some family while I looked for and thankfully, found a job. My half-brother and his wife helped me sort through and sell some of my belongings to get some extra money and on the off chance I had to move. They even offered to help with the utilities until I saved enough to move. However, I’ve since come to realize that the help they offered wasn’t meant to help me as much as it should have. Not only had they shot down every suggestion or request I made for their help finding an apartment or trying and keep my parents’ home, but they insisted I move back to Connecticut so I would be closer to them. Their excuse was to help me, but with rather strict stipulations that I’ve since recognized as rather serious red flags. They had wanted me to surrender my cats, apply for jobs of their choosing, return to school and take classes of their choosing, and if I didn’t live with them, they would pick my roommates instead of letting me choose my own. Were I still a minor, that might have made more sense but I’m not and they were treating me as if I was, giving me no voice.

They insisted I couldn’t keep my mom’s car, that it was pointless, only to learn too late that I could have kept it had I gone to the DMV with the title and my mom’s death certificate and paid a small fee. On top of that, in late 2022, my utilities started getting shut off without any warning and discovered my half-brother stopped paying for them and never notified me that he was stopping payments. I’ve since been scrambling to try and keep up before they sprung out of control. Had I been more like my mom and not be so reliant on my half-brother, thinking he had my best interest in mind, I wouldn’t be in debt with a car I can’t pay for now. I might not be as far behind with my utilities if I had found out they weren’t being paid sooner as well as gotten financial assistance much sooner. I may not even be as far behind on my parents’ mortgage if I hadn’t listened to my half-brother telling me it was pointless and to give up. That includes making a GoFundMe sooner, but my half-brother shot it down and essentially was forbidding me from making one. But I wasn’t, and I’m trying to rectify my mistakes, receiving help where I need it, and getting the information I should have been told from the start.

Between my mom’s passing and now, I’ve gone through several jobs. A lot of it was related to my car breaking down consistently, making it difficult to hold them. I’ve started a new job that I’m able to walk to, hoping to try and budget in to try and catch up and pay off my car so I don’t have it repossessed. I only have a little over $1200 left on it. I’m hoping to either pay my car off so I can get the title and sell my car for what I can, putting that money on top of what I earn so I could get a car that runs so I have an easier means getting to and from work as well as traveling to stores instead of relying on deliveries. It is that, or I find a place where I can trade my car in for a used car, but I don’t know if I’ll get approved or not for a new loan with the trade-in.

I’ve signed up for financial assistance, waiting back for a response about whether I’ve been approved or not. I applied for unemployment before getting hired but I kept getting rejected because I didn’t have any transportation to take me to these workshop events that the unemployment office made mandatory to attend. I’ve been approved for health insurance and recently been approved for EBT. I’m hoping if I get approved for financial assistance, it will help me with my electricity and gas so I don’t have them shut off and can keep up with the payments more easily. For my water bill, I can’t get assistance until I get more information from probate regarding the house.

I know that I’m asking for a lot, but anything given would help a great deal. Even with my job, it’s only seasonal and I don’t know how soon I’ll be able to get another before it’s over. And the income I’ll be getting won’t be able to cover all of my utilities or my car, let alone make a dent towards the mortgage or save for a rental. This includes non-food items such as feminine products, cat litter, cat food, and laundry being a few.

Should you donate, it will not only help with getting me caught up better with my bills, but I’ll be able to pay off my car and if I’m lucky, replace it. I’m asking every one of you for help. Not just for myself, but for my cats as well. They are my family and I want to do what I can to keep us together. They were also my mom’s cats as much as mine, giving me greater reason to try and keep them with me.

Please I lost everything because I kept having seizures.

Hello, my name is Kevin and I’m living in an unfortunate dangerous situation. I had a job and a nice apartment with my truck and my service dog. I have epilepsy and I kept having multiple seizures and kept missing many days of work. Due to this, I lost my job, I had to sell everything to try to prevent me from being homeless.My situation kept getting worse and worse and I had to put up my dog for adoption. I am so depressed, thought of suicide keeps coming to my mind. I was sent to the psych to prevent anything from happening. When I ran out of money, I was evicted from my apartment. I have lost everything. I am so ashamed and embarrassed about my current situation. I still suffer from epilepsy and many seizures due to stress. Due to the seizures I broke my back and had to rotator cuff surgery. I’m homeless, I sleep in the den of drug addicts which is not good for me. I have an eviction and bad credit on my record.
