I always make jokes about Yugi getting revenge for the exodia cards but like,,did anyone ever tell Seto what happened to them? Would he care? Yugi mentions it in passing to him once and later on Weevil wakes up at 3 am to see a tall figure outside his bedroom window, frothing at the mouth, going “Into the ocean?? I’ll send you into the ocean”

part III part IV part V
Touya’s quirk was a blessing and a curse. His flame quirk was powerful, even from the start it was clear it would surpass his father’s quirk. The drawback was his body wasn’t built for that power. His constitution was built for an ice quirk which left him not only weak to his strong flames but at even more of a disadvantage.
You were very familiar with Touya’s quirk. You did everything that you could to help him. A small rain cloud over his head to help him cool down after using his quirk or even snowflakes. It wasn’t the best but it was the most you could offer him and he always appreciated it, even if he did take a handful of snow and shove it in your face playfully.
There were many times you found yourself cleaning his wounds, you had even made your own salve to help with his burns. You always kept it on you just in case to help him. The minty smell was comforting to both of you as you carefully rubbed it against his skin.
It wasn’t just the damage his quirk did to him, when he overused his quirk it could get out of his control burning dangerously for not only himself but everyone around him. Thankfully you could help him with this, putting out the flames with a rainstorm. It didn’t happen often but every time it did you were able to help him.
As you slept all you could dream of was that fateful night when you lost your best friend and your love. Fire lighting up the night and the smell of smoke unforgettable.
Waking up you were still confused about how you had gotten home. There was no way that villain had helped you home, even if he didn’t catch onto your hero status.
Your trip out left you with no answers and even more confusion. Finding Dabi had been easy the first time but you weren’t sure it would be the same the second time around. You decided to do some digging.
Once you got your bearings, lungs still sore from the night you set out in hopes to find more answers. You decided to do some research, you looked up any and all news you could find on Hawks first. It wasn’t easy work. Taking notes on different things that caught your eye, dates, details, anything that might be useful.
Why was Hawks always conveniently out of town during any events involving the League? How had the number two hero avoided any outright conflict with one of the biggest problems out there?
There was something off and you knew it. You had scraps of answers but you knew there was something bigger out there.
Your attempt with Dabi failed for the time being so perhaps you could find something more with Hawks.
As you made your way to his agency you knew that this was dangerous. If you got yourself tangled in a serious conspiracy it might not be just your hero career at risk but your life. Hawks was a nice guy but if he was hiding something dark things might go bad.
“I need to talk to Hawks about serious matters.” You told his secretary.
“He’s not here right now but he should be back soon, if it’s that important you can wait for him on the roof. That’s where he’ll be when he gets back.” She said.
It didn’t shock you that Hawks would be out, he didn’t seem like the type to hang around the office long. You found yourself on the roof, enjoying the view and the breeze. This gave you time to think about what angle you were going to use.
The flapping of wings announced Hawks arrival as he landed next to you. He stood there, one eyebrow quirked as his wings stretched out before folding in.
“Tempest?” He said your hero name. “I’m honored, what brings you to my agency?”
“I had some concerns and I thought who better to ask then the number two hero.” You said.
“Not Endeavor?” He questioned.
“Not exactly on the best terms with him.” You explained. He looked curious but he didn’t pry.
“Well then, what can I help you with.” He asked.
“I have some concerns about the League of Villains.” You started. “They’ve been quiet but I’ve seen some of their members in my territory. I’ve brought this up to the commission but they don’t seem concerned.”
“They tend to sound dismissive but they do look into things.” He replied.
“See the odd thing is I swear I saw a hero talking to one of them.” You said to gauge his reaction. You knew this was a dangerous move but you weren’t sure how to get a reaction any other way. To Hawk’s credit, he didn’t react guiltily, just general surprise. “I couldn’t see who it was but don’t you think that’s concerning, that a hero might be on there side. When I told the commission they didn’t even seem surprised.”
“Sounds like a dangerous thing to get yourself into. Most would just look the other way. The commission isn’t something to take lightly.” He said, his tone more serious than you had heard before. Hawks was a light-hearted person, usually teasing and joking. Right now you could feel something threatening exuding off of him, sending a shiver up your spine. “If I were you for your career’s sake and your own sake, I would drop it.”
“You’re probably right.” You said.
“Anything else I can help you with?” He asked, his tone returning to its usual manner.
“No. Thank you for your time, Hawks.” You said smiling at him. You gave him a nod before leaving.
This wasn’t good. Did the commission really have Hawks working for the League of Villains? If he was on there side they would have been concerned at your report of him but they were too calm. Why would they have him working for them? Why would they want to keep it a secret from other heroes? Of course, it was a liability but a hero knowing was better than a hero thinking Hawks was a villain.
Your mind returned to the scarred man at the bar. Dabi. You didn’t quite know why you kept thinking about him. It felt like he was a part of this puzzle. You wanted another chance to talk to him. What were the chances that he would be at that bar again?
Maybe you could get answers not only to the Hawks situation but to how you got home last night.
Putting on the same disguise you returned to the bar, taking your spot in the corner of the bar with another glass of whiskey.
Time passed and you feared you might not see him again. What would your next move be?
Before you could put too much thought into it a familiar face walked in. He took his place at the bar and you waited a moment before making your way over to his spot.
“Long time no see, doll.” He said turning his head to look at you as he took a sip of his drink. “What brings you back so soon?”
“Well, my night got interrupted last night thought I’d give it another try.” You said. “Any idea of how I got home last night?”
“Do you take me as a good Samaritan type?” He questioned in his rough voice.
“I don’t know, looks can be deceiving.” You teased.
“What’s it really that brought you back?” He questioned. “Most wouldn’t come back after what happened last time.”
“I’m not most people.” You said. “I’m looking for some information for a friend of mine. What do you know about the hero Hawks?”
“You tell me, hero?” He said. Your eyes widened for a moment before you composed yourself. Today wasn’t your day. “You really shouldn’t go looking for trouble. You might get burned.”
“Trouble tends to find me either way.” You said.
“I believe that.” He said with a sarcastic laugh. “But really you should run off and keep your nose out of things before you get hurt.”
“It almost sounds like you care, didn’t expect that from a villain.” You replied.
“I don’t care. Why do you care about this so much?” He asked.
“I don’t know.” You said honestly. “I guess I just can’t look the other way if I know there is something wrong happening. I lost someone and I wish I did more. I guess this is my way of atoning for what I didn’t do.”
“I didn’t ask for a life story.” He scoffed. “But I’m sure that person wouldn’t want to see you dead so maybe you should just look the other way.”
You rolled your eyes, even the villains were telling you to drop it. You were having no luck figuring anything out.
“I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.” You said finishing your drink before standing to leave.
“You might regret that.” He said as you walked away.
“It wouldn’t be my first regret.” You said not looking back.

sriracha sauce | 5
bakugou x reader; in which Bakugou and some other students from UA are doing a work -study abroad in NYC. also Bakugou is nice to you for once
cw: like, so many swears; a little baby amount of angst
You make it to the door of your apartment building and scan yourselves in. You and Bakugou have been silent for a while, just walking in each other’s company, each lost deep in thought.
You’re following Bakugou up the stairs, mulling over what he’d said on your walk in the park.
He said I let you win.
I did.
So I would have to take you out to dinner.
Since you’d been dating someone at the time, you’d never given a romance with Bakugou much thought, but the idea of him taking you out on a date now was sending your heart into a frenzy.
If you really thought about it, he was one of your closest friends. You’ve had a lot of time to get to know him over the last three months, and he felt safe. And comfortable. And you trusted him.
Still, you were being held back by... something.
You were about to reach your floor when Bakugou freezes on the top step of the stairs. You nearly crash into him, automatically placing your hands on his back to steady yourself. You can feel the heat of his skin from over his shirt.
And he’s muscular.
You peek past Bakugou’s shoulder to see what’s held him up, and then your heart drops.
Your ex is standing at your apartment door. His head whips around when he senses you and Bakugou standing there. He glances between the both of you before taking a step towards you.
“The fuck do you want?” Bakugou practically growls.
“Bakugou.” you hiss through your teeth, “Go inside. I can handle this.”
He doesn’t move, but his eyes slowly shift to meet yours.
Please, you plead silently, hoping he can read your expression.
He clicks his tongue and walks slowly towards the door, pointedly making eye contact with your ex. When he finally shuts the door, your ex opens his mouth.
“So, we’ve been broken up for a few hours and you’ve already moved on?” he says, anger flashing across his face.
“I- what?” you ask, incredulous.
“With him,” he jerks his head towards the door Bakugou just went through.
Rage swells in your chest and takes over, burning through your veins. “I cannot believe you have the nerve, the fucking gall, to come to my home after you fucking cheated on me and then get upset with me for hanging around my own goddamn roommate.”
“Babe-”
“I told you not to fucking call me that. Is your head actually inside of your own asshole right now?”
He stares at you, doesn’t speak. So you keep going, letting your emotions spill from your chest.
“I loved you. Spent a year of my life with you. And you didn’t even care enough about me to not fucking cheat on me. You didn’t even- care enough- “ you start to break down, the tears falling freely down your cheeks. “What do you want? Why the hell are you even here?”
He grabs one of your hands, squeezing your fingers, “Babe, I love you too. I came here to show you that.”
You take in a shuddering breath, and use your free hand to wipe your eyes. Then you put your hand over his and pry his fingers away from yours. “Listen to me, okay?” you say, and he nods slowly, eyes not leaving yours.
Your nostrils flare.
“Fuck. You.” you spit out.
And his face contorts with anger.
His hand flies up and he grabs you by your jaw, his fingernails digging into the skin of your cheeks. “What did you just say to me?” he seethes.
Adrenaline shoots through you and you grab onto his wrist, but he doesn’t let go of you. You use the sudden shot of energy to activate your quirk, and at the same time, the door to your apartment flies open.
An inhuman sound comes from your mouth. Your voice sounds like a chorus of angels and a screeching harpy and the low, vibrating rumble of the earth all at the same time. Bakugou stands in the doorway, frozen, eyes wide, staring at you.
“Touch me again, and I will fucking kill you.” You manage to rip your ex’s hand from your face after his grip loosens from the shock of your voice, and Bakugou lands a punch directly in the middle of his chest, knocking him backwards.
You use all of your body weight to shove Bakugou back through the doorway and into the apartment - he’s got a lot of muscle - and you shut and lock every lock on the door behind you.
You both stand there in the dark, breathing heavily. You lean your back against the door, letting your head fall back, and then you slowly slide down to the floor, exhausted.
“What the hell was that?” he asks, running a hand through his hair.
You shrug. “My ultimate move? I don’t know.”
He raises a brow. “Your quirk is languages. That, sure as shit, was not a language.”
You absentmindedly run your fingers across the smooth tiling of the floor. “I dunno. I’ve been able to do it for years.”
“Don’t you have to hear a language first before you can speak it?”
“Yep.”
“So that means-”
“Yep.”
“You’ve heard that somewhere?”
“Yep. Don’t remember it.”
You stare at each other’s outlines in the darkness for a few moments before you snort, unable to stop from laughing at the situation.
“Everything is dumb,” you groan. You cover your face with your hands, rubbing hard circles in your eyes until you see stars.
Bakugou holds out his hand, waiting for you to take it. “Hey. C’mon.”
You don’t want to move. You feel like you’re glued to the spot you’re sitting on, but you take his hand anyways, and he pulls you up.
You numbly follow him down the hallway. He walks into your room, turns the light on. You kick off your shoes and let your body crash on to your bed. You would regret sleeping in your jeans, but you truly didn’t have the energy to change.
Bakugou leaves and comes back a few minutes later, a glass of water in hand. He places it on your nightstand and heads back towards the door.
He reaches for the light switch and turns it off. You stare at him, peeking over your comforter in a way that makes you feel like a child. Small.
“Bakugou?” you say, barely above a whisper.
He stops moving and his eyes flick towards your lumpy form under the covers.
“Will you stay with me?”
He blinks. “Are you sure about that?”
You nod, and he sighs, rubbing the back of his neck.
Your heart sinks when he walks back into his room, but he returns again in a t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants.
“Well, scoot over, dumbass,” he mumbles, and you inch over to give him some space.
He pulls up the comforter and slides under it. His smell, sweet and musky, is absolutely intoxicating.
You breathe him in, and your eyes flutter shut

Princess part 7
Tumblr media
"Ow, Ares that hurt." You sniffle as fat tears roll down your cheeks. An arrow is plunged deep into flesh, protruding from your calf.
Little do you know that it is the first of many.
A young fist twists your hair harshly pulling your little head back to face him.
"If you want to keep practicing your quirk you need to toughen up and learn to heal your own wounds." A nine year old Ares lectures, "I saw you heal that rabbit your cat caught."
He throws you into the dirt despite you being a full three years younger, you cry out but no one comes.
Technically you asked for this, you asked for your closest brother's help.
"Now pull the arrow from your leg before I push it deeper." He bites as heavy tears stain your flushed cheeks, hiccups making your breath ragged.
None the less you grab onto the smooth wood with shaking hands before pulling it from tender flesh with a blood curdling scream.
You wake in a cold sweat, hands instinctively pulling water towards you, your panic furthers when you see the angle of the sun realizing that it is late in the day.
But who could blame you for sleeping in so late? You had stayed up until witching hour suddenly restless by the endless weeks you've spent here. Why hadn't Katsuki wakened you for your bath?
What about your wound?
He must have sent Mizu away this morning, you know even in a dead sleep you would feel the sudden change in moisture.
But you'll never find out that Katsuki stood over you and for the first time in his life debated over doing something. Normally if Katsuki wanted something he took it, if he wanted to do something he did it.
He just wasn't sure he wanted to wake you for two reasons.
One, he knew you had stayed up late, he felt your every toss and turn and even absence as you went to the ocean before attempting sleep again.
Two, he had to admit you were so God damn cute when you were sleeping.
What scares you most is you did not feel the servants enter the room, having set out breakfast to return to collect it to make room for lunch.
By the looks of it, it has been there for quite some time too. You rise slipping into one of your many fur lined collar outfits, Reo had made you mostly brooding colors but today you choose a deep pink
As you look yourself over the in the mirror you hear Reo's words echoing in your head.
*"This one is woven with desire. No sane man will be able to deny you."*
Good as you'll need all the help you can get to convince the King of the Badlands that you've sat out long enough.
Tracking down a king has turned into a harder task than you thought. That is until you close your eyes to focus, remembering what his heart beat feels like.
In the weeks past you have familiarized yourself with it, almost using it as a soothing lullaby when he is sleeping beside the deadly lion that is you without a care in the world. You admire his bravery although it could get him killed. You follow the feeling, he seems agitated by the way his blood rushes and you hurry.
Paranoid from your dream that harm is coming sooner rather than later. You know the clock on your Father's patience is ticking.
*TICK*
*TOCK*
*TICK*
*TOCK*
You come into a clearing, far away from the village, dropping the pull of Katsuki's heart as you watch the three men speak and once you're spotted all discussion stops.
Rage blooms in your chest faster than you'd like it too.
"You'll catch more flies with honey." You growl to yourself under your breath as you approach.
"Eiji! Katsuki!" You call cutely. One man
melts while the other glowers.
"Princess." Kiri bows at the waist, the third unknown man drops to his knees. Fear wafts to your nostrils and you do not need to seek out his erratic heart beat to feel his petrified state.
"I see you've finally made it out of bed." Katsuki bites, "You don't belong here. Shouldn't you he people watching? Or joy riding with *my* dragon."
"I believe I've done that long enough, don't you?" Your voice is soft but stern. Blood red eyes flicker to yours, burning with deep rage. A king never wants to be undermined especially not in front of an audiance, no matter how small. The difference between Katsuki and your Father is that Katuski's people do not care if he loses his composure.
Like he's about to do now. He growls, explosions littering his open palms with loud pops as he thinks. The third man slowly rises from his knees, thinking you a threat he will defend his king no matter how scared he is. With a flash of his eyes you know he saw you in the great war.
A twisted part of you is delighted.
"Leave." Is all he bites out and you do not understand why this man, the same man who tenderly cares for you wound, can be so fucking callous to your feelings.
But really what was new? That was every man in your life wasn't it? So why were your hopes up that he was different.
"Spare me the fragility of your ego and cut the bullshit Katsuki." No more honey from your tongue, that last long didn't it, "Only an idiot would choose to exclude the current enemies former top War General. I thought you were not fool yet here you are."
Katsuki's face turns red with rage before he laughs aloud. Startling the already jumpy third man.
"You a War General?" He laughs again, "Please you're delusional."
"You think my Father thought of that strategy on his own?! To end a war at it's very beginning with a show of unfathomable power?" Your own cheeks heat with rage, rage that Katsuki delights in.
"You think I *need* you?!" He turns to face you, "You're useless. Someone who was gifted a powerful quirk just for it to be wasted on a little girl who was too weak to handle her own father. So just shut that pretty little mouth of yours and do what you were born to do. Be seen as a beautiful trophy and keep your fucking vile mouth shut, Princess."
You've never felt a stronger rage in your body. Surging, singing in your blood as your vision blurs black at the edges. You power heightens, calling you, begging you to use it.
To obliterate what disrespects you, what stands in your fucking way. It makes it's way from your heart gushing towards the tips of your out stretched fingers.
It would be easy, over faster than you could blink, especially with how familiar his heart beat is. Echoing in the tips of your fingers, your head, your chest.
Just as you're about to let it go, just as you're about to release his heart of the burden of beating you change trajectory in the last possible second.
Turning the unknown man into a mist so quickly that his clothes stand on their own for a moment before they fall into a bloodied heap.
Kirishima's eyes widen, his face hazed over with both fear and oozing blood red. Katsuki's eyes widen if for a moment, you can feel the fear that twinges in his chest. His heart skipping a beat before he composes himself one more and you close yourself from him forever.
Never wanting to feel his heart beat again.
"Consider my debt to you as repaid." You say, hand still steadily aimed at the man that is no more. Your eyes narrow with hate, with hurt. "Know I will kill you should you shake the cage of my ire again."
You turn on your heel, straighten your shoulders, head held high with no rush in your step as you walk away.
Nothing will stand in your way you remind yourself.
But that does not stop the hot angry tears from slipping down your cheeks
@ha-tep I meant to tag you but I had to rush onto my plane. Hope you haven't read it already 😂

_____________
Closing the door to your apartment you walked towards the dining table and put down your handbag and keys before moving into the kitchen, grabbing a glass of orange juice and making yourself a bowl of pasta. You quickly ate before moving to the bedroom and changing into pyjamas before situating yourself on the sofa in the living area.
Today had been a long day at work and it would only continue now that you were home. Needing to complete the remaining paperwork from today. Pulling out your laptop you set it on your lap before tapping away at the keys.
You’d been working for about two hours before your Boyfriend Bucky got home. Entering the apartment he placed his keys down before heading straight to you, leaning over the back of the couch and wrapping his arms around you, he placed a kiss to your hair before resting his chin on your head, watching you type “Still working?” he questioned.
You turned and kissed the man “I shouldn’t be for too much longer.”
He nodded before placing a quick peck to your neck. He unwrapped his arms from you before shrugging off his jacket and hanging it up. “Need anything?” he questioned before moving behind the kitchen counters.
“A glass of water would be nice.” Bucky quickly brought you a glass of water and placed on the coffee table in front of you before moving back to the kitchen to make himself some food. After eating he sat on the sofa next to you, switching the TV on. “How was work?”
“It was good. Sam, Steve and I worked on logistics and stuff today. How was yours?” he scooted closer to you and put his arm behind you along the back of the sofa.
“Mmm, I mean good just got piled with a load of paperwork as I was packing away. It needs to be done by tomorrow as well,” you said keeping your eyes on the screen.
“Janice slacking again?”
“Yeah, I guess. It’s a shame though she’s only worked with us for 6 weeks now and this is still happening. I know it takes time to get to grips with how long things take but.” you paused as you concentrated on typing the last half of the sentence. “I don’t see her working with us much longer.”
The man-made a noise of agreement “It’s not fair on you. We’ve had to cancel so many plans because of it doll.”
“I know and I’m sorry,” you said looking at the man.
He moved his hand to your shoulder and pulled you closer into his side stroking your arm up and down as he placed a kiss to your forehead. “Not your fault don’t apologize.” You smiled “I’ll be going in and having words with her though if we have to cancel our Saturday night restaurant reservation. We’ve had that one planned for weeks”
You kissed him on the cheek and laughed before sitting upright, you adjusted the laptop before getting back to work.
Bucky watched you work for a short while before you yawned and closed the laptop, “All done.” you announced before leaning forward and placing the laptop on the table.
“Finally,” Bucky spoke as you curled into his side him placing his arm around you. “Now what do you want to watch?”
“Anything Buck I don’t mind.”
Bucky flicked through a couple of channels before setting the remote down next to him and placing his cheek on the top of your head.
The two of you sat together slouched on the sofa watching the terrible movie, Bucky was reluctant to turn over since “It’s the best thing on TV right now” so you endured it.
After a while your eyes began to droop closed, Bucky looked down at you and struggling to keep your eyes open, fighting with yourself to keep awake. He kissed your hair before drawing light patterns with his fingers on the side of your arm. Smiling he turned his attention back towards the movie as he continued to absentmindedly trace patterns. It didn’t take long for your body to fall slack in his arms and that’s when he knew you were asleep. Smiling to himself, he continued to watch the movie, determined to see what ending it would have.
Finishing the movie Bucky picked up the remote and turned the TV off before looking down at you.
You looked so peaceful, deciding he didn’t want to wake you he used his free hand to tuck a piece of hair behind his ear before sliding the arm around you further down your back and the other under your legs. Picking you up easily he walked to the bedroom and placed you down on the bed before tucking you in and placing a tender kiss to your forehead.
Bucky quickly changed before joining you in bed. You turned into his presence, placing a hand on his abdomen. Moving his metal hand he threaded it together with yours and wrapped the other around your waist to bring you close. Bucky smiled at himself and his heart ached at how he could share these sweet, tender, loving and intimate moments with you. Moments that a couple of years ago he thought he’d never have.

Six Baudelaires AU, Part One {AO3} {Read from the Beginning}
Chapter Eighteen → in which the Baudelaires break into a safe
Nick leaned against the window, and said, “Do you think if we pushed too hard on this, it’d break and we’d fall?”
“I think Aunt Josephine’s getting to you.” Lilac said, passing Sunny a piece of paper to gnaw on.
“No,” Nick said, “I just think it’d be fun to freefall.”
“Don’t do that.” Klaus said. “You’ll die very quickly.”
“But it’d be fun death.”
“Nick.”
The Baudelaire children had settled in during the last few days, but it was a bit hard for them to be very happy. They would have cold drinks and uncooked food for every meal, and whenever Josephine spent time with them, she didn’t talk about their parents or anything they’d like to hear; instead, she tried to teach them grammar lessons. Nick would sometimes pretend to use the bathroom while Josephine was teaching, only to hide in their room, climb into a hammock, and fold paper airplanes out of sheets of paper he’d rip from encyclopedias when nobody was looking.
Violet spent most of her free time breaking apart the rattles, and Lilac took apart the model train set, and the two sisters would keep their hair tied up in hopes of thinking of a better burglar alarm, or a way to cook food that wouldn’t scare Aunt Josephine. Klaus eventually got bored of the grammar books, and he was dismayed to find that the only non-grammatical book that Aunt Josephine didn’t have put away somewhere was Anna Karenina, which he’d already read twice. Solitude spent most of her time finding a new room to hide in, as she’d seemed to tire of Nick never letting her out of his sight, but she felt very bad about this; whenever they found her, she’d look very guilty, and she’d apologize for worrying them. Sunny alternated between playing with her deck of cards, trying to teach Solitude how to play, or biting onto anything she could reach, but she really wished she had something better to do with her time.
“When’s ol’ Aunt Jo getting back again?” Nick asked, standing up and stretching slightly.
“Shouldn’t be too long.” Lilac said, passing Sunny another piece of paper, as Sunny had accidentally eaten her first. “She said she was just getting groceries.”
“She should’ve let us come with her.” Violet said; she and Klaus were curled up in the same chair, with her struggling to get through Anna Karenina, and Klaus falling asleep on her shoulder, having given up on his grammar book.
“Help.” Solitude nodded; she had wandered out of the room a while ago, only to come back in to see if she could spot anything under the shelves.
“Soli’s right, we could’ve helped.” Nick said. “Beats hanging around here.”
“She said she’d be scared to lose us in a crowd.” Lilac sighed. “There are a lot of us, and let’s be honest, Nick, you and Solitude tend to wander.”
“Speaking of which, whatcha looking for, Sol?” Nick asked.
Solitude giggled awkwardly before shrugging and continuing to crawl across the floor. Sunny slid off her chair, also crawling around the ground, looking under the shelves; it was better than being bored and eating paper.
“I haven’t seen that Eye in her house.” Nick said. “Klaus, have you seen it anywhere?”
Klaus opened one eye to glare at him. “Nope.” he said. “And before you ask, yes, I still have the spyglass on me.”
“I wonder what kinds of codes our parents used to come up with with Aunt Josephine,” Violet said. “And if she has them written down somewhere. It’d be more interesting than this.”
“Anna Karenina’s a classic, Vi.” Klaus said.
“And you weren’t being grammatically correct.” Nick joked. “You used ‘with’ twice in a row.”
“Bite me.” Violet said, flipping him off.
“Violet!” Lilac reprimanded. “Look, everyone, I know living here isn’t… great… but it’s better than living with Olaf, or being in Peru with him.”
“Perch,” Sunny said, which meant something like, “Or being trapped in a birdcage.”
“See?” Lilac said.
“But that doesn’t make it good.” Nick said. “Just cause it’s not awful doesn’t mean we should-”
“We should be thankful Aunt Josephine gave us a home at all.” Lilac said.
“Oh, yeah, we should be thankful that Fierce Auntie Jo didn’t let Poe send us somewhere else.”
“Stop calling her that!”
“You started it!”
“When I was a toddler!”
“Hey!” Solitude shouted.
“Stop fighting.” Klaus groaned. “You’re being loud.”
“And fighting won’t solve anything.” Violet said. “Maybe we can find where Aunt Josephine is hiding the books she’s scared of.”
“I’ve looked in all the other rooms.” Nick said. “Haven’t found anything.”
“Maybe they’re just hidden very well.” Lilac said.
Klaus sat up slightly. “I mean, she did say ‘secret codes.’ Maybe she has a secret compartment.”
“Secret room?” Violet suggested. “I’d love a secret room.”
“Yes,” Lilac sighed, “And you tell us that whenever you have the chance.”
“Well, I just-”
At that moment, Sunny let out a shriek, and they all whipped around to stare at her. Sunny had just leapt away from the bookshelves and fallen on her back, shocked, and after a second, a small brown-green frog with a black mask pattern hopped out from underneath the shelves, racing across the room at top speed.
“What the hell?” Lilac shouted.
“Holy shit!” Violet said, as Klaus jumped to his feet and ran to pick up Sunny.
“Froggy!” Solitude called, running forwards, and the frog changed direction, heading towards her. It finally reached her, and leapt onto her shoulder. “Froggy! I’s okay!”
The other five Baudelaires stared at her for a good, long while, until she finally looked up at them. Then, quietly, Lilac said, “Solitude?”
“Ye?”
“Is that a frog?”
Solitude’s face went as red as her hair. “No.”
“Solitude?” Nick crept a bit closer to her. “Is that Babbitt?”
“No.”
“Solitude,” Violet said, “That is clearly Babbitt.”
“When the hell,” Klaus said, “Did you get Babbitt back?”
Soli put a hand on the frog, which was snuggling up against the collar of her dress. “Um…”
“How long have you had that?” Lilac asked.
Solitude sighed. “Repro,” she admitted, which meant, “I’ve had them we left Uncle Monty’s.”
“Them? Is there more than one?” Lilac asked.
“Callis-” Solitude glared at her. “No, just Babbitt, but their species of frog is genderfluid, so-”
“You’ve been hiding that frog since Uncle Monty’s?” Nick asked.
“Tep!” Solitude cried. “They were hiding in the Reptile Room right before we left, and I couldn’t let those men take them away!”
“What have you been feeding them?” Violet asked.
“Bugs!”
“Have you been hiding them for this whole time?” Klaus asked.
Solitude nodded, tears springing to her eyes as she asked, “Giveaway?” “Are you going to make me give them up?”
The siblings glanced at each other, and finally, Lilac said, “You can’t show them to Aunt Josephine. They’ll probably scare her.”
Solitude beamed, laughing and flapping her hands.
“And you’re in charge of them.” Lilac said. “Feeding and cleaning up after and- and catching them!”
Babbitt leapt off of Solitude’s shoulder, hopping to a far shelf, trying to go under it. Solitude ran after them, calling, “Babbitt! Babbitt!”
She managed to dive and grab the frog before they got under the shelf, but as she did, Klaus said, “Wait a minute.”
He walked over to stand by Soli, after putting Sunny back down onto a chair. He stood by the shelf Babbitt had run to, inspecting it closely.
“This shelf is indented behind the others.” he noted.
“Yeah. Probably a weird design choice.” Nick shrugged.
Klaus ignored him, instead grabbing the edge of the shelf and pulling. The siblings stared in wonder as part of the shelf retracted, revealing a wall, with a shiny safe built into it.
“Secret room!” Violet cheered.
“Secret safe.” Lilac corrected.
“Good Babbitt!” Solitude cheered.
“Nice work, Klaus.” Nick said, moving over and kneeling in front of the safe. Solitude walked over to sit beside him, petting her frog.
“Well, it wasn’t that hard.” Klaus said modestly.
“We’ll have to break in.” Violet said. “I can make a blowtorch-”
“You are not making a blowtorch.” Lilac said.
“Coward.”
“We can guess the combination.” Nick said.
“Well,” Klaus said, “Most safes use three or four-number locks. There are one-million possible combinations.”
“We don’t have that kind of time, I don’t think.” Nick said.
“Codes.” Sunny suggested.
“Sunny’s right.” Lilac said. “Aunt Josephine said our parents developed secret codes. In some codes, numbers substitute for letters.”
“If it’s a word, it’d have to be something she’d remember, something she cares about.” Violet said.
“Grammar.” Solitude said.
“That’s too many letters.” Klaus said. “We’d need something that isn’t very long.”
“What else does she care about?” Lilac prompted.
“Cold food.” Nick said.
“Doorbell and telephone safety.” Violet said.
“Not telling us anything we actually want to know.” Klaus said.
“Scripto,” Solitude huffed, petting Babbitt, “Not actually paying attention to things we like.”
“None of you are any help.” Lilac sighed.
“Ike!” Sunny said.
They stared at her for a beat, and then Violet said, “That’s three letters long.”
“Good idea, Sunshine.” Lilac said, and they all knelt in front of the safe as Nick put in 9-11-5. They heard a small click, and Nick swung open the safe door.
“Whoo!” Nick cheered. “We’re in!”
“What is all of this?” Violet said, reaching forwards and grabbing a box, decorated with a painting of Lake Lachrymose. She opened it, saying, “Crackers.”
“Yahua.” Sunny said. “Safe crackers.”
“There’s some sheet music.” Lilac said.
“Ike’s whistling music.” Violet said, pulling out the papers.
“An Atlas of Lake Lachrymose.” Klaus pointed out.
“Here’s some photos.” Nick said, pulling out one. “Holy shit, is this Aunt Josephine?”
“Language.” Lilac said, peering over his shoulder. “I think it is.”
“Is she training lions?” Violet asked.
“She’s fistfighting a shark in this one.” Klaus said.
“Roh.” Solitude said, also taking a photo to show Babbitt. “Wrestling.”
“Boxing, Skydiving…” Klaus said, flipping through photos. “Who jumps out of a plane for fun?”
“I totally would.” Nick said.
“She did use to be fierce.” Lilac said quietly.
“What happened to her?” Violet asked.
“Hold on.” Nick said. “Hold on, there’s a book.”
Klaus reached in, pulling out a thick book, emblazoned with the title The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations.
“Well, that’s convenient.” Nick said.
“Secret Organizations?” Violet asked.
“I guess secret codes lead to secret organizations.” Klaus said.
“Our parents can’t be in a secret organization.” Nick said. “They’re not cool enough.”
“Maybe they’re not. Maybe Josephine has this for some other reason.” Klaus said.
“Maybe we should fucking read it and see.” Violet said.
At that, they heard a door open, and a call of, “Be careful with the welcome mat! You could trip and break your neck!”
“Shit. Goddamnit. Fuck.” Nick said, as Klaus and Violet hurriedly shoved everything back into the safe. Solitude squeaked and shoved Babbitt into her pocket, muttering to him to stay there, and then Nick picked her up and carried her over to a chair, sitting down with her and grabbing a random book.
“Nick, I am going to glue your mouth shut!” Lilac yelled, grabbing Sunny and carrying her back to the table, now containing several scraps of half-eaten paper.
Klaus slid the bookshelf over the safe again, and Violet grabbed a random grammar book, before flopping onto the carpet, opening it up to a random spot and hoping nobody noticed it was upside-down. Klaus ran for where Violet left Anna Karenina, flipping it open and getting onto his chair just as Aunt Josephine walked in.
“Ah, Baudelaires! There you are!” she said. “I just put the groceries into the kitchen.”
“Would you like us to cook for you?” Lilac asked, shoving a paper at Sunny’s face.
“Oh, no! Don’t use the stove!”
“We won’t-”
“But I suppose it wouldn’t matter.” Josephine said.  She sat in a chair, and said, “Children, I found something interesting at the town market!”
“Warm food?” Nick asked.
“Nick,” Lilac hissed, “I am going to kill you.”
“Lilac, dear,” Josephine said, “Don’t worry about your brother. I’m aware that I’m a disappointment to you, and to countless others. Believe it or not, I used to be a fierce and formidable woman. But these are… troubling times.”
“I guess.” Violet said.
“There are fires and dangers all around us.” Josephine said. “But… I’ve decided I shouldn’t allow myself to be afraid of everything anymore.”
“Good.” Nick said, and Lilac shot him a glare so fierce he actually shrunk back.
“So, children,” Josephine said, “May I leave you alone for a few more hours? I came home to get a new cardigan, and then he’s taking me out to dinner.”
The children froze in shock for a moment, before Klaus said, “What?”
“I met a man!” Josephine said. “He has had a troubled past, and he asked to treat me to a fried egg sandwich.”
Violet said, “You’re going on a date?”
“Violet, don’t be vulgar.” Josephine said. “It’s not a date, necessarily. But please be nice to him while I get my cardigan, make small talk. Oh, Captain! Captain Sham!”
The siblings heard a distant, “I’m hobbling as fast as I can, Josephine!” and suddenly they all felt very cold. Nick pushed Solitude behind him, and Lilac jumped to her feet, moving in front of Sunny. Violet and Klaus also stood, just as Captain Sham walked into the room.
“Goddamnit.” Nick muttered under his breath.
Aunt Josephine was going on a date with Count Olaf.

6. A lyric that motivates youSo tonight, I’m riding a black unicornDown the side of an erupting volcanoAnd I drink, drink, drinkFrom a chalice filledWith the laughter of small children- Riding a Black Unicorn (Aurelio Voltaire)I used to listen to this song ALL THE TIME back in like 2015 and it kind of became one of the songs I listened to to feel better and be like “yea! im gonna be confident one day and be amazing!” I can’t post the lyrics to the whole song, but its basically (to me at least) a song about rising up against all obstacles and just being awesome!
7. A lyric that calms youfeet firm on the ground we stood hand in hand and i told the world i have a plan together we sangi’m ready now- I’m Ready Now (Dodie)I’m Ready Now is such a calm, chill song to begin with and I’ve been listening to it a lot lately cause it was in Moominvalley. For me, its kind of a “take a moment to breathe” song. Just focus on the song and let everything else just melt away.
18. A lyric that gives you hope I will find my wayI can go the distanceI’ll be there somedayIf I can be strong-Go the Distance (Hercules)Kind of similar to the Riding on a Black Unicorn entry. One day I’ll be the person i want to be.
28. A lyric that triggers a good memory Stamp on the groundJump, jump, jump, jumpMoving all aroundTep tep da dow- Stamp on the Ground (Italo Brothers)This song brings me back to 2011/2012 when i was REALLY into Metal Gear and Homestuck and getting into Bioshock. Those were really good times. The reason this song reminds me of that is cause of Zarla’s Stamp on the Ground animation, which has Metal Gear characters in it (and I used to watch it all the time back then). I don’t really know how to explain it, but hopefully someone understands what i mean when i say it was basically really good special interest memories? Like when you think back on a special interest and you get all : O  then : D because you remember exactly how you felt back then and just the magic of getting into a really good special interest. I feel like im rambling, but whatever!

Calay Indochina Trip (April 17-22, 2018)
Jealousy is something that needed to be addressed for a better relationship. So when my Tatay got jealous of my Hong Kong trip last October 2017, I acquired insomnia. My mind can't stop thinking of the best place where my Tatay can get a great experience with a very small budget. Thanks to Colz’ post in DIY Philippines Facebook Group about her Indochina Trip, I finally got some sleep. They day after the long peaceful sleep, I immediately invited my friends who I know love to travel also. Fortunately, I convinced my Baka-chan, Reinee, and Johnrey. This is the start of our failed and unsatisfying but definitely unforgettable Indochina trip that we will surely laugh about when we get older.
Planning for Indochina Trip really needs a lot of research. Imagine going into one country after another, one should really know everything that he/she needs to know.
DAY 1
Thanks to Traveloka, we were blessed to find an Airasia seatsale going to Ho Chi Mihn, Vietnam with connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So we automatically had an additional country aside from our original Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand travel.
We exchanged our peso to Ringgit in NAIA just to be sure to have a money to spend enough for DAY 1. It is better to change your money in NAIA than in any airport of the country you are going into.
We depart from Manila around 5:30 PM and arrived at Kuala Lumpur by 9:05 PM. KL's airport is really big. We rode Aerobus going to KL Sentral and their Rapid KL (counter part of MRT here in the Philippines) going to Masjid Jamek Station - the nearest station to our accommodation. We didn't have data so we weren't able to locate our hostel easily. It took us a lot of walking. People pointed us to places everywhere. They can barely understand us and we can barely understand them as well. Fortunately, Rajid (a staff from China Hostel) helped us to contact our hostel and booked a grab for us. (THANK YOU RAJID!) Finally by 2am, we were able to get some sleep.
I experienced the same in my HongKong trip. So I suggest to book an accommodation nearest to a landmark. Also, ask the right person so you don't need to get lost even worse.
We booked a night stay at Grand Mountbatten Boutique Hotel through Traveloka as well for P1750 for 5 pax 350 each - very cheap.
Day 1 is like Day 0. We weren't able to go anywhere but our hotel.
DAY 2
We woke up by 6am and started our journey by 7am. Our first stop is Batu Caves. We got lost because apparently KTM Kumuter is not working, and we do not know how to get there via other transportation. So we asked, and rode a free bus up to KTM Sentul Station, from here we waited for more than an hour before it departs to Batu Caves. This is the heartbreaking part. We weren't able to take into consideration the waiting time of the departures because we have a different itinerary. Some things really don't go according to the plan.
Tumblr media
at Jamek Mosque
We enjoyed Batu Caves, especially for me and my Tatay. I just love natural things. I prefer going to these tourist destinations (just like Ngong Ping Village in HK) than in the city. The monkeys and doves are everywhere! You can even get a shot like you're in Rome with those doves. And my Tatay experienced getting his polvoron rubbed by the monkey. It's so funny. The Big Buddha is really enormous. It's amazing.
Tumblr media
Inside the Batu Cave
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You need to climb 272 steep steps before reaching the cave. But the fear, hunger, and effort are totally worth it. It's a huge cave. They have a small temple inside it. Again, the monkeys are everywhere.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just a reminder: do not wear shorts or skirts above the knee. You will be asked to pay 5 MYR for the cloth which they will wrap around your waist.
Tumblr media
We went back to the KTM Komuter by 11am. This is where everything messed up. We weren't able to eat breakfast and lunch because of the hectic schedule. We weren't able to go to Petronas Twin Towers (yeah I know 💔💔💔) And the worst part is, we missed our flight going to Vietnam. Yes we idiots did.
Tumblr media
We got no choice but we are still blessed. Flight from KL to Siem Reap, Cambodia is cheap. So we decided not to go the Vietnam and just go straight to Cambodia. And we booked our accommodation in Cambodia through Agoda for PHP 2265.59 each.
We spent the whole day at KL Airport and waited for our 7am flight to Cambodia. We are so broken that we didn't even talk about going back to KL Sentral for Petronas Twin Towers and we are too afraid to miss the flight again.
Tumblr media
DAY 3
We arrived at Siem Reap, Cambodia by 9AM. Took a tuktuk ride from the airport to Kok Meng Lodge. The Inn doesn't allow us to check in yet because it's too early. So we had no choice but to go to Pub Street without taking a bath. We just walked straight from Kok Meng Lodge to Pub Street, it is just 5 to 10 mins walk away. It is a very hot late morning. We are all sweaty and sleepy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We ordered a sharing food for lunch. Johnrey bought a booked from a disabled vendor. We talk about our frustrations in this trip.
Tumblr media
We went back to the inn ( Kok Meng Lodge ), took a bath, got some sleep, and went out to take a look of Siem Reap. We intentionally didn't go to Ankor Wat because it will be unfair to Baka-chan's friend who was left in Vietnam.
Tumblr media
Upon walking, we bumped into a tuktuk driver and asked him where we can go.
But before anything else, James, our tuktuk driver took us in a street restaurant to eat meryenda.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, these heavy meals were our meryenda. And yes, we were that hungry. XD
He took us to the War Museum, Tatay and Johnrey obviously enjoyed it in different reasons. Tatay is into guns and other war equipment, there were tanks! And Johnrey is really interested in history. War Museum has a lot to tell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the War Museum, James Peter, our tuktuk driver, took us to one of Angkor Wat temples for free! This is because you can enter Angkor Wat Complex after 5pm for free.
Tumblr media
We just went to Pre Rub, amazed by the work of men, the sunset and took beautiful photos.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Early discovery of talent
The complex is so peaceful. There are a lot of trees, and a lake. I love the environment.
Tumblr media
When it got dark, we decided to go back to Pub Street and end the trip with this Pacquiao-fan tuktuk driver. James is really accommodating and pleasant. He only asked us 12 Dollars for the whole trip. Thanks James! I hope to see you again!
Tumblr media
[I’ll insert James’ calling card here, I just need to look for it.]
We booked a bus trip from Siem Reap to Bangkok Thailand via HANG TEP TRAVEL CO., LTD. for 20 Dollars. Just to make sure that we will get to Thailand.
Tumblr media
We finally experienced the Pub Street life. And took a mandatory shot in Pub Street sign, ate dinner, look for some souvenirs, and tried fish massage. That was a great night. And that's the best night in our trip. Cambodia is the best that happened to us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
DAY 4
We were supposed to go to Angkor Wat but the group realized that it is a waste of money going to Angkor Wat for just one hour because we booked an early trip going to Bangkok. Yeah, this is another heartbreaking story. We came here to see the Angkot Wat, yet we failed again.
By early 7AM we took the bus going to Thailand. Reached the border by 12pm and the next 4 hours was hell. We lined up in the immigration for 4 hours! We were on an open space covered with a high roofing, the line was very long. It was a very hot afternoon. And we didn’t have anything in our stomach but water. It was a very painful experience. This was the point that I realized that I need to tell you these guys. INDOCHINA TRIP IS VERY EXHAUSTING. YOU'LL EXPERIENCE HUNGER, TIREDNESS, AND DIZZINESS.
Tumblr media
Line in Cambodia Immigration Office,  Krong, Poi Pet
Tumblr media
When you see this Arch, this means you are in the border of Cambodia and Thailand already.
Tumblr media
This is the line in Thailand Immigration Office,  Aranyaprathet
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this was us, in front of the line after hours. They just called from the line and prioritized us, maybe our bus guides did the work. Thanks no thanks. They’re too late.
We departed from the Cambodia-Thailand border by 4pm and reached Bangkok by 9pm. So Day 4 was spent in the immigration and on the road. We headed straight to Khao San Road and exchanged our dollars to baht. Finally, we were able to eat our first meal of the day. We had just some peanuts while on the bus. So yes, dinner was our first proper meal of the day. I thought I was gonna die out of hunger, imagine how my 62 year old father suffered. I'm sorry.
Tumblr media
We tried the famous Pad Thai with Shrimp and egg. It tastes good actually. Go ahead and try it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nope he didn’t eat it.
We stayed in an airbnb very far away from public transportation so we got no choice but to ride the taxi all throughout our Bangkok stay. So don't make the same mistake. Book an accommodation near public transport or your desired destination even if you pay more because it is just the same booking a cheaper accommodation then spending in grab and/or taxis plus the hassles.
Tumblr media
DAY 5
This was our last chance to make the most of our Indochina trip. We woke up early and started the day going to Damnoen Floating Market. We took the grab going to Southern Bus Station and ride the bus going to Damnoen Floating Market for THB**. It was a 2-hour ride. Make sure to enjoy the view going to the South of Bangkok. Upon reaching the pier, there were offers going to the actual floating market for THB 1,000 for the 6 of us. Grab it. I know that some blogs would say not to fall for it. But based on a recent experience, for that amount you get a free 1-kilometer ride. This is the distance from the pier to the actual floating market. But we declined this offer.
Then, a van offered to bring us in the second pier. There, they offered us THB 300. We still didn’t agree with the price because based from the blogs we read the 300 THB is supposed to be for all of us already. So what we did is to walk from the bus stop to the floating market. It was a long and hot walk.
Tumblr media
And upon reaching the actual floating market, the fee is 200 THB. The floating market is a little bit crowded. There are many boats. It is really a floating market. Vendors are selling products in the boat, although some are on the riverbanks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We bought Chinese soup for breakfast for 60 THB, and mango shake for 65 THB. The Chinese soup is okay, and the mango shake is satisfying. The vendor of the shake is also very beautiful, she’s like a Korean.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going around the river, we also saw some local houses. We also saw lizard-like creature – I don’t know what it is called. It was swimming in the water. It’s kind of scary but just fine because it didn’t swim towards our boat. The sailor of our boat asked for a tip. So you better budget also for these miscellaneous expenses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going back to the bus station, we rode a yellow jeep for THB 10. We took a grab going to the City to go to the temples. This is where the second most heartbreaking part of our trip comes in (first is our missed Vietnam flight).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She is making a pose for me :)
I said that DAY 5 should make up this failed trip. We started the day right but ended up scammed. Upon reaching the city to visit the temples, we looked for the pier where we were supposed to ride the boat going to the temple.
Tumblr media
Then there’s this some guy who offered us help maybe because we were obviously lost – we can’t find the pier. He instructed us to ride the tuktuk going to the pier, so we did.
Tumblr media
Remember this man’s face! He is a scammer! ALL THE HATE ON HIM!
The tuktuk brought us to a pier. A lady in the pier was charging us, if I remember it correctly, 1600 THB each for the boat ride, then we bargained it down to 600 THB which was supposed to be, if you go to the right pier, 15 THB only. So you see, we were scammed, they didn’t even give us a ticket.
At first we kinda like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then, we just went around a shallow and unpleasant canal.
Tumblr media
And after the 1 hour (which was really less than 1 hour) CANAL boat tour, all the temples were already closed. YES they were all closed, so we didn’t got the chance to enter at least one temple. :(
Tumblr media
We just went around and took some photos with other temples.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This day gets from worse to worst, even the Chatuchak Market was already closed when we get there so we also didn’t have the chance to do “Bangkok Shopping”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We just went back to Khao San Road and had some decent dinner.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next day, (DAY 6)
We went to the airport and traveled back to the Philippines. And our pasalubongs? We bought it from the airport because that’s the only choice we had.
THAT’S IT. Our Indochina trip just went like that. Spending five days on the road and having an unworthy experience. If I could only correct everything. I guess we just need to charge this to experience. At least we got 9 passport stamps. (Yey!)
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to my travel buddies – Tatay, Reinee, John Rey, Baka-Chan, Babes ni Baka-Chan – sorry guys, I know that this is not what we wanted. I hope to travel with you again next time, and by that time, we will finally enjoy our trip.
Tumblr media
Indochina Trip is not always like this. It’s always different for all of us. It’s just that we got to experience the opposite of anything that you can call good. I suggest you allot longer days for this trip, then for sure, you will have a blast.
Bonus:
I prepared an excel of our expenses. Click here. :)
Cheers to travelling the world! Meow meow!

I don't really know how to send ask prompts?? So uhh, "I got into a fight..." For, of course, Elden and Dorian :) (P.S. your writing is great)
Aaaa thank you ;o; And you did just finding sending in a prompt, I hope you enjoy!!-Very few of the Inquisition’s people were pleased to see a Tevinter mage in their midst, Magister or no. Understandable, of course, and for the most part Dorian could ignore it. The looks and snide comments were nowhere near as colorful as some of the things he had been subject to back home, and while getting spat at was unpleasant, it more amused him than anything at the lengths some would go to to express their distaste. Unfortunately once some of the more volatile individuals imbued enough alcohol, things could get ugly fast.
Dorian had been minding his own business tonight, haunting one of the darker corners, for once preferring not to draw attention to himself. He’d usually join one of the other members of the inner circle, but tonight none of them were around so there was no one he could turn to when a particularly drunk patron stumbled over to him.
“The nerve,” the man slurred at him. It was a wonder he was still able to keep his footing honestly.
“I beg your pardon?” Dorian sighed inwardly. He wasn’t nearly drunk enough to be dealing with this.
“You come down ‘ere, charm your way to the Inquisitor’s side,” the man said, gesturing drunkenly. “What’d ya do to make him trust ya, anyway? Why d’you deserve to fight wi’ him?”
“Who the Inquisitor chooses to align himself with is none of my business. Or yours, for that matter,” Dorian said pointedly. He knew he shouldn’t be encouraging this but he just wasn’t in the mood to humor the man.
“What did you say to me?” The man swayed dangerously and Dorian glanced around for an easy escape. Unfortunately their conversation seemed to tahve drawn the attention of some of the man’s accomplaces. Luckily the room was loud enough that only those in the direct vicinity had turned to watch.
“Oh come now,” Dorian said, leaning back in his chair and reaching for his staff– only to remember he’d left it in his room. Kaffas. “There’s no need to make a scene. If you think you’re more qualified to assist at the Inquisitor’s side, by all means, take it up with him or one of the advisors.”
“Rather take it up wi’ you.”
Dorian had apparently had more to drink than he’d realized because he wasn’t quite quick enough to jump up and dodge back out of the way of the man’s wild swing. It clipped his side and the man managed to grab a fistfull of his robes as Dorian tried to retreat further. The man stumbled, nearly dragging them both to the ground, his robes giving an audible tear. Dorian grabbed his mug and threw it, contents and all, into the man’s face. That was enough to allow Dorian to slip back out of reach. He didn’t actually want to hurt anyone but it seemed a little threat might be in order.
“I suggest you all back off,” he warned, conjuring a ball of flame in the palm of his hand. “I’d hate to damage this establishment. Where would we get refreshments then?”
“‘Ere, what’s going on over there?” the bartender snapped as he came shoving his way over.
Dorian took advantage of the intervention and slipped past the other patrons before the dwarf could assess the situation. He didn’t exactly want the incident to be more public than it already was so it was probably best to escape while he could. He was still distressingly sober, however, and craving something even more than he had been before retiring to the tavern. Luckily he had a few bottles hidden away in his alcove in the library. If he was quick, he could swing by and grab one before heading to his quarters without being spotted by anymore disgruntled soldiers.
The halls were all but empty at this late hour and he arrived in the library without incident. He weas reaching back behind his desk for one of the bottles when he heard footsteps approaching. Dorian cursed under his breath and straightened, preparing himself for whatever was to come. He felt much too relieved when he saw who it was. The Inquisitor was smiling as he came bounding up the s teps, but it faded as soon as he laid eyes on him.
“Dorian,” he exclaimed, hurrying over. “What happened? Are you alright?”
Dorian looked down and only just noticed the rip in his robes, obviously not from general wear and tear. Damn. So much for brushing this entire incident under the rug and promptly forgetting about it.
“Fine, fine,” Dorian said dismissively, brushing his concerns aside with a wave of his hand. “I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a scuffle, that’s all. No one was injured.”
“Did someone in the Inquisition do this? Elden asked, looking horrified, his fingers ghosting over Dorian’s arm as if wanting to touch, to comfort, but unsure what would be welcome. Dorian resisted the urge to lean into the touch, feeling foolish for the inclination. Sure, they’d discussed their relationship to some extent, but they seemed to be in the awkward unsure stage of things. Rather novel for Dorian given his usual experiences.
“Things just got a little heated at the tavern, that’s all. No hard feelings. Honestly, he’s probably worse off than I, what with the hangover he’s sure to have in the morning.”
“I won’t have any infighting here and I’m certainly not going to let any prejudices go unchecked. I’ll have Cullen deal with him.”
“How do you know I wasn’t the one who initiated?” Dorian asked with a sly smile.
“I know you better than that,” Elden said and this time he did draw closer, threading his fingers together with Dorian’s. “Besides, I know some people have been giving you a hard time since you joined. Are you sure you’re alright?”
“Of course.”
“I’m still sorry this happened,” Elden said wretchedly, glancing away as if he was to blame for the entire incident.”
“Nonsense,” Dorian said quickly, not wanting to see him so upset. “Really, inquisitor, none of this is necessary. I’m sure he was just blowing off a bit of steam.”
“At your expense.”
“You are determined to worry yourself over this, aren’t you?”
“Dorian, you’ve already done so much, for me and the Inquisition. I wouldn’t be here without you and I have no words for how much I respect you, and for how brave you are for coming here. I won’t have all of that rewarded with more violence and cruelty.”
“I assure you, it’s nothing so dramatic,” Dorain said with a placating smile. “My reception here has been better than it ever was back home after all.”
“Hat doesn’t make me feel any better,” Elden said. This time, he brought his free hand up, smoothing along his cheek and Dorian couldn’t stop himself from leaning into it. “I know you’re worried about me and everything I have to do, but you don’t have to put up with this. At least let me talk to one of the advisors. No one should be treated this way by allies. We won’t get very far if we’re too busy fighting each other.”
“Very well,” Dorian sighed in exaggerated defeat. He was touched by the concern of course, but still wished the Inquisitor wouldn’t bother himself with such a trivial matter when he had more important things occupying his time, such as saving the world. “But only because it seems to bother you so much.”
“It does,” Elden said, smiling sadly at him and it annoyed Dorian that this man was once again trying to take all responsibility onto himself. Dorian was distracted by the depths in those eyes, of he affection and concern there, before he was able to shake himself back to reality with an idea that might just save the entire evening.
“Since I was so rudely interrupted at the tavern, I thought I’d come back here and partake of my personal stash. Care to join me?”
“I’d be honored,” Elden said and Dorian couldn’t help but laugh.
“It’s just brandy, Inquisitor. Relax.”
Still, there was no denying how pleased Dorian was at the turn of events. At least the night was ending on a more enjoyable note.

by design: seven
The night carried on and table service ended, so you and Bakugou sat yourselves at the bar while Mei and Kirishima (rather conveniently) made their way to the dance floor.
You ordered another drink, and Bakugou stopped you before you could pay. “It’s on me,” he said, “happy birthday.”
“You don’t have to do that, Bakugou,” you smiled cheekily, staring at him while your mouth searched for the straw of your fresh drink.
“Don’t turn down a free drink, dumbass. And you can call me Katsuki, if you’d like,” he gave you a sly half smile. He leaned his back against the bar, elbows pressed behind him, searching for Mei and Kirishima in the crowd.
“Okay, Katsuki,” you replied. Your head was starting to feel a little fuzzy, so you mentally cut yourself off - no drunkenly making a fool of yourself in front of your client. Or fooling around with your client (shut up, your brain hissed.)
He asked about where your friendship with Mei and Kirishima had come from, and you explained that you knew Mei from school and that she worked with Kirishima and you left out the part that the only reason you really knew Kirishima was that you used him to get closer to Katsuki. Then you both started exchanging quirk-related stories and you mentioned Kirishima was helping you strengthen yours.
Katsuki excused himself to the restroom and you smiled dreamily to yourself in your seat at the bar. You looked out at the bar and saw Mei and Kirishima laughing next to each other, dancing like fools to whatever sugary pop was coming through the speakers. You had a half a mind to join them, but-
-your view was obscured by the frame of a large man. Your gaze traveled upwards and you saw a handsome stranger staring back down at you, and what looked like a few friends of his behind him.
“it’s my friend’s bachelor party,” he said, and the pure alcohol that hung on his breath tickled your nose.
“Uh... congratulations?” you stirred your drink nervously, already on edge.
“You should dance with him,” he gestured over his should with his thumb to one of his friends, who gave you a slimy smile.
“Oh - no thanks. I really don’t want to.” Your hand left your glass and rested close to your right hip, where a vial of the liquefied metal that Mei had made for you clung to your belt.
“C’mon, what’s the big deal? Your boyfriend here?” the man asked, and anger flared in your stomach.
“Whether or not I have a boyfriend doesn’t matter,” you sounded braver than felt, “I said no.”
Your fingers twitched closer to your weapon. You didn’t want to make a scene at the bar but you so wanted to teach this man a lesson.
“Hey, we’re not trying to get in your pants. My friend just wants to have some fun before he gets married,” the stranger said, trying to sound innocent.
You relented a little. “I’m not here to dance with people I don’t know. I’m just here to hang out with my friends.”
“I’m surprised she has friends here when she’s such a bitch=“ you heard one of his friends mutter behind him.
And you weren’t sure if it was the alcohol or if Bakugou was rubbing off on you, but you stood up and managed to grind out, “What the fuck is your pro-” before Bakugou placed himself between you and the men.
“Fuck off, assholes.” Bakugou grunted, and like magic, they obeyed. He turned around to face you. “Are you okay?”
“I could have handled it myself,” you mumbled.
“I think you meant to thank me,” Bakugou rolled his eyes, but you were still pissed.
“I just wish you had let me handle it,” you repeated, “I didn’t need you to rescue me.”
“Are you kidding me? Four guys against one girl? It wouldn’t have even been a fair fight.”
“I’m weak because I’m a girl?” you snipped.
“No!” he was exasperated now, “But you’re not-”
“What? A hero? So I can’t stand up for myself?” Your thoughts were getting wilder, and you felt frustrated tears prick at your eyes.
“You train with Shitty Hair for two weeks and all of a sudden you think you’re strong enough to take on the world? I hate to break it to you, but that’s not how it works, princess.”
“Don’t call me princess,” you warned.
Bakugou pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose, “Look, whatever. I’m sorry I didn’t let you handle it.”
“I didn’t want to take on the world. I just wanted to take on one asshole.” you sighed.
“Hm.” Bakugou glanced away from you.
An awkward silence developed between the two of you, until Bakugou spoke again.
“I’m tired. I’ll see you at the Expo.” he said curtly, and made his way towards the door.
Your eyes followed him, hoping he would change his mind or look back at you again, but he left the bar and hailed a cab. You watched it drive away until you couldn’t see past the frame of the window anymore.

For Asgard (Chapter 28/?)
Summary: What if Odin had banished Loki to Earth instead of Thor? The story of how you, the Reader, meet and help Loki on his quest to return to Asgard.
One Two Three Four Five Six Seven Eight Nine Ten Eleven Twelve Thirteen Fourteen Fifteen Sixteen Seventeen Eighteen Nineteen Twenty Twenty-One Twenty-Two Twenty-Three Twenty-Four Twenty-Five Twenty-Six Twenty-Seven
A/N: Without wanting to spoil anything, warning, this chapter contains sexual content.
As far as you're concerned, your duty is done.
Lorelei has been brought safely to the palace of Asgard (and has taken her sister's fancy guest bedroom with glee). It's as if someone you both know wasn't totally murdered in front of your eyes! This woman irks you just as much as her elder sister. You silently fume while in her presence, which hopefully won’t be for very much longer.
Undoubtedly though, you feel it to also be your duty to disclose to Odin the death of Loki (through a copious amount of tears). The old King must think you're so pathetic right now, but so what? Nothing matters, especially his opinion of you. Your words of the tale are clipped and are straight to the point, making the conversation quick so you don't have to torture yourself any longer.  You don't stick around long enough to hear what he has to say, fearing it'll cut open your heart even more.
Running back to your chambers, your hand covers your mouth to stop the noises and sobs from falling out of your mouth. Do not make eye contact with the guards. Frankly, you're shocked they haven't arrested you since you were an accomplice to committing treason, but they aren't moving in on you, so you keep going. In your room, you throw yourself onto the bed face first and let it all out into one of the pillows.
It's funny, you hadn't thought you'd completely forgiven Loki for all he'd done in the past, but gods, it’s not even a concern anymore. What you wouldn't give to have him here again with you.
Alive and well.
Through your muffled cries, the sound of large wings flapping comes from outside your open window. You look up to find an eagle now sitting on the window sill. Could it be the eagle that followed you from Svartalfheim? The animal cocks its head, then flies into the room, creating a big gust of wind.
"Stay back!" you yell, frightened. Are eagles here deadly? They certainly are huge.
The bird flies up and lands on your bed.
"Stay back you filthy creature!"
"I cannot say that is the first time someone has uttered this phrase to me," it says.
It speaks? Wait... No...
The foreign eagle transforms before your very eyes through the course of a glittering magic. An incredible whoosh of relief and joy leaves you upon seeing the miracle in front of you.
You jump on top of your miracle – Loki. You hold his face in your hands and kiss every single inch of it in case it disappears on you again.
"You were dead!"
Kiss. Kiss.
"I saw it with my own eyes!"
Kiss.
"How are you here?"
Loki smiles wide at your welcome and has to hold you back from attacking his face with kisses in order to answer your question.
"One might say it is the oldest trick in my book. And yet... people still seem to fall for it. Every. Single. Time."
"I'm so happy." You hug him tightly. “You have no idea, Loki, oh my God.” You never want to let him go.
"I feared you had not quite forgiven me for, well, everything," he says, caressing your cheek.
"I wasn't sure, myself, really. Until now. Losing you...? Now I know it would be the end of me."
Loki lowers you both down so you're laying on your sides, face to face on the bed. You're holding his hands, afraid to lose him again. Then, a thought comes to mind, of which you voice.
"What about Amora?"
"What about her?" He sounds confused.
"You don't... You don't have feelings for her?"
Loki looks at you like you've completely lost your mind.
"Amora had never sparked an interest of mine, romantically speaking. We studied magic together in our younger years. We had a mutual love for the craft. Always looking to better ourselves. And, naturally, she was only ever with me as a convenient way to get to Thor."
What. A. Bitch.
"Throughout the course of my very long life, I can say with all honesty, which is a gift I only bestow to you, I have only ever had eyes for you, my darling."
"Keep going," you joke, loving all the nice things coming from his beautiful mouth.
“The love of my life,” Loki continues. "My Midgardian princess.” He pauses. "My Mistress."
"Oh God!" You turn away and hands cover your face in embarrassment and shame. "I thought I could successfully go the rest of my life without hearing that nickname again!" Loki laughs heartily, then hovers over you with only love in his eyes. Nothing wild or untamed.
Just love.
“Death really puts perspective on a person’s life...” Loki says slowly, searching your eyes, “and I cannot imagine what my life would be without you in it... That is something I never want to learn.”
Is he-?
He can’t be...
“A-Are you proposing to me?”
He gives a small laugh this time. “Yes, I believe I am.” Loki hops off the bed and positions you to sit facing him. He makes direct eye contact with you as he continues, “My lovely (Y/N). Will you do me the honour of being my bride, my wife, and partner in life?”
You could have sworn he was going to say partner in crime.
Loki kneels - something you know for a fact he wouldn’t do for anyone else. You let out the breath you had been holding in your throat.
“Loki, I can’t imagine my life without you either. Of course, of course I’ll marry you!”
Good gods, you think you’re going to cry! Loki gets up and kisses you joyfully, his lips grinning this massive smile against your own. Have you ever seen him this happy?
Have I ever been this happy?
He holds your face so gently in his hands, his thumb rubbing your cheek lovingly. You smile and reignite a string of kisses between you until it’s clear you’re about to celebrate your devotion to each other in the best way possible.
Loki lowers you back until your head meets the plush pillow. He looks upon you like you’re the most beautiful creature these Nine Realms have ever seen and you think your heart is going to explode. You pull him down to meet your lips again. You need him. You need to feel his love.
Instantly, you start to shed your Asgardian dress, but Loki lends his magical assistance by waving a hand and making your clothes (and his) vanish into thin air. At first, you expect to feel the breeze from outside cool your skin, but that is not the case. No amount of cool air could turn down your rising body temperature. While one of his hands rests on your hip, the other snakes up your side. Loki’s touch is slow and considerate and everything your first time with him wasn’t. The way he handles you, hell, even looks at you, makes you feel like a princess.
Oh God.
You’re going to marry this man. You really were going to be a princess. Loki catches the look on your face and smiles, then places a kiss to your cheek.
“What are you thinking, darling?” he asks. You press your lips together in a quick smile.
“I’m thinking of how much I love you.”
If an exhale can sound happy, his most definitely was this. His thumb brushes the corner of your lips.
“Great minds think alike, or so they say.”
You throw your arms around his neck to bring him in closer for a deep kiss. You press yourself against him, the friction of your chests meeting kickstarts the pulsation between your legs. You exhale a shaky sigh.
“Loki… please…”
His hand wanders south to feel you. Upon his findings, you notice his eyes darken before your very own.
“Fear not, my love.”
And he’s right. He’s not dead and you’re not dying from a magical element. There really is nothing to fear. Not anymore. And certainly not when he gives you all of himself.
Loki goes on to love you with such attentiveness, a tenderness that honestly brings tears to well up in your eyes. One lonely, yet happy tear starts to fall down your cheek, but the god kisses it away. You don’t even need to explain the reason for it. He knows.
The way he is with you, the sounds he’s making, the way he feels inside of you - everything is heightened in the moment. It’s all so beautiful. It’s like nothing you’ve ever felt before in your life. A surging wave of love floods every inch of you and it becomes too hard to contain, so instead, it flies off your tongue in the form of words.
“I love you. I love you, gods, l love you.”
“My heart. My love,” Loki replies. “My everything.”
Through the final throes of passion, through deep kisses, outcries and shudders of pleasure, you both reach a whole new level of your proven undying love of each other.
Loki crawls up next to you after experiencing one of the most magnificent moments of your life. You nuzzle your face into his neck, the most fulfilled smile on your lips. His arms pull you in closer to his body. Neither of you says anything for a little while as you bask in your happiness.
"What will you do now?" you ask eventually.
"Well, I was hoping for a round two..."
The God of Mischief, he’ll always be.
"No," you giggle, "I mean now that everyone thinks you're, you know, dead? And you... not actually being dead. What's the plan?"
Your gorgeous fiancé leans on his elbow and tilts his head on his shoulder, looking suspiciously like he has another one of his tricks up his sleeve.
"Can you keep a secret?"

Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
A/N: I’m trying to get quicker and less critical of my writing because most of the time I write something then end up not posting it for days/weeks after because I keep re-reading and adjusting things. So instead I wrote this one this morning and have proofread and changed major bits and I’m now posting. This should speed things up a lil. Hope you enjoy 💗💗
Request: Congrats on 200! 🎉🎉🎉 Can we have 14 and 18 off the 200 list with Steve please? Thank you!  - @ha-tep #14 - “Death? C’mon that’s nothing.” #18 - “I wish I had someone to go home too on days like these.”
__________________
Gasping for air you nudged Steve, your figure slightly bent forward with a hand on your stomach. The man was on fire with his jokes today. You continued to laugh as Steve did the same next to you. The both of you were in absolute bits, I suppose this is what happened when the two of you 100% understood each other’s sense of humor and had spent enough time together to form inside jokes and a friendship unlike any other.
“Hey, could the two of you take this a little more seriously, please? Doesn’t the risk of possible death make you not want to tell jokes for once?” Clint spoke from the corner.
“Death? C’mon that’s nothing.” Steve whispered next to you rolling his eyes a smile pulling at his lips.
Standing upright you cocked an eyebrow as Steve started to laugh again “Kidding. I’m Kidding” he held his hands up in surrender.  You plopped down into your seat and belted up ready for the descent of the jet, Steve quickly doing the same.
Everyone closed their files as the mission brief was called to a close. You made a noise of discomfort as you stood from your seat and caught Steve's attention. You were exhausted mentally and physically. Everyone was pretty beat up from the mission. You’d managed to come out of it with cuts on your arms and legs and some bruising on your cheek as well as larger deeper bruising all over the rest of your body. You headed straight outside the compound to get some fresh air.
Sitting on the bench you watched as some team members started to leave for the evening. You took in the darkening sky, stars slowly appearing as Steve suddenly took a seat next to you, pulling you out of your thoughts. "Everything ok?"
You turned to the man "yeah, everything hurts but nothing major. You?"
"Some bruising but I'll heal. I'm sorry you got pretty banged up today."
"Not your fault. They came out of nowhere and I got through it."
There was a noise of a car approaching the compound which immediately caught your attention. As the car pulled up Pepper quickly got out and Tony practically ran into her embrace and kissed her on the cheek before getting into the passenger's seat and before you knew it they were speeding away from the compound.
"I wish I had someone to go home too on days like these." You sighed relaxing into the bench as Steve did the same.
"Yeah, I get what you mean."
"It gets lonely going home to no one, it can be scary too" Steve could hear the sadness in your voice.
He wrapped his arm over your shoulders and you leant into his side, it wasn't uncommon for the two of you to cuddle. "Uh, you don't have to be alone tonight if you don't want?"
You looked up at the man "what are you suggesting."
"We could go back to one of our places, and watch a movie together? Keep each other company for a while. Break the cycle of loneliness for once"
You waited before nodding "That sounds like a plan. Let me grab my things. Don't move" with that you headed back inside and Steve stood and picked up his jacket from the end of the bench.
Within seconds you were exiting the compound again car keys in hand "c' mon I'll drive." Tag List: (open) All Marvel: .

Doctor’s Dose of Scotch (Part 5)
Pairing: Bones x Reader
Summary: Bones leaves you a nice surprise outside your door, but becomes a bit disappointed when he doesn’t find it in your workspace.
Part 1       Part 2       Part 3       Part 4
A/N: So sorry for the wait, I’ve been meaning to add to this. If you would like to be tagged, please let me know in the comments. I hope you all like it!

You put on your uniform and started towards the door that lead out of your quarters. You knew that not many people would be about the halls, so you didn’t take much care in making your uniform look nice. As an engineer, you’d chosen to work the same shifts as Scotty. This meant doing most of the day’s work before anyone else had even given a thought to getting out of bed.
You opened your door, and rushed into the hallway. You tripped over something in your doorway, and looked down in time to see a vase of flowers launch to the other side of the hall and shatter against the opposite door. You flinched at the sound and cursed under your breath, rushing to pick up the shattered glass. Amongst the glass you found a small notecard, which had Doctor McCoy’s name signed at the bottom. You didn’t want to spend the time reading it yet, so you shoved the card in your pocket and went back to grabbing the glass.
Finally, you grabbed the last shard and put them all in a waste bucket. You rushed towards the engineering bay, as it had taken you several minutes to collect the broken glass. You liked getting there before Scotty, that way the projects for the day were already set up by the time he got there. But it didn’t seem that that’d be the case this time, not with such a mess presenting itself so early.
When you arrived, Scotty had already started work on a replacement piece for the warp core. It wasn’t a detrimentally important piece, but you’d noticed the day before that it had developed a slight crack from normal wear. You had planned on being the one to work on it, but now you couldn’t argue. Scotty looked up when you set your bag down, he smiled at you.
“Aye, I was surprised to get here before you. Though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like it, makes me feel like an overachiever!” He laughed. You returned the laugh and got to work on another piece of equipment.
***
A couple of hours later you heard footsteps approach, footsteps that you assumed belonged to someone in command who wanted to see how the ship was running. It didn’t happen too often, but the number of visitors in the engineering bay was so low that it was safe to assume anyone who came down was just checking up on the wellbeing of the ship. Instead, you heard the voice that seemed to appear when you least expected it.
“I was hoping to see those flowers down here, you must not have liked them too much,” said a deep southern voice. Your heart dropped, you hadn’t had the chance to read his note. You looked over to Scotty, who was smiling at you in a very cheeky way. He threw his hands up and left his task, leaving you alone with Bones. You also left your task, and looked him in the eyes.
“Unfortunately, there was an accident with the flowers,” you said. Bones looked at you with concern, as well as a smile that assumed you were joking. “I may or may not have accidently kicked the vase across the hall,” you said. You smiled an awkward smile, hoping he wouldn’t think that your clumsy accident was a purposeful attack on his intentions.
“I see… I guess next time I’ll give you your flowers in a plastic vase so it doesn’t break when you dropkick it across the hall.” He winked at you and smiled. “How’s work going down here?” He asked. You looked down at the piece of machinery that you’d been working away at.
“Just routine maintenance, deep space really does a number on the reactor complex,” you said. He furrowed his brows, you took it as another opportunity to see how much technical talk he could endure. “One issue we keep running into is a malfunction with the reactor and the matter reserve tanks, for some reason they keep having issues communicating with the change in atmosphere. Scotty is looking for issues in the communication devices, and I’m altering the reactor’s circuitry to allow for less restricted communication.” He smiled that handsome smile and nodded his head.
“Sounds like you’re finally doing the work that you wanted to do, I’m really glad you chose to come aboard the Enterprise,” he said. You felt yourself blushing, and you smiled at the floor. “Well I think I should get back to the bridge, who knows what mess Jim might get himself in.” He bit his bottom lip as if there was something he wanted to say, but instead he turned on his heel towards the exit. You watched him hesitate, and he turned back to look at you. “By the way, no matter what you do, you definitely shouldn’t make your way to the pool complex on deck T in about…” he looked at his watch, “five hours.” He winked at you and turned back around, providing you with a very nice view of him walking away.
