What about an AU where Manual replaces Aizawa as the 1-A homeroom teacher?

Oh boy we can fit SO MUCH projection into this one

1- Manual only applied to UA because he was applying a bunch of hero schools, and he didn't think he'd get UA but why not try, at worst it's extra interview practice before he really tries at Ketsubutsu. And then he got only got a job at UA and no other school, somehow. And he can't technically complain because UA pays the best and it's a job he signed up for, but how???

2. He also didn't apply as a homeroom teacher, but they offered it to him anyway and he uh doesn't really say no. He figured he could change positions after a few years already if he wanted to, and planned on it, but then realized he liked this position much better and so kept it instead

3. Actually you know what sure all the projection. His third year he ended up being freshman homeroom team lead, which he's pretty sure isn't supposed to happen- Vlad had more experience but said he wanted a break this year from it and no one else applied so....

4. His third year is also when he gets our beloved class 1A! They do not get expulsion threats, and go to orientation. Then Manual tells them they have an essay due at the end of the week, about why they want to be heroes and what their current plan is, to be completed before any combat training. Several students pitch a fit about writing when they want to learn how to fight, but Manual points out that as part of their training, they'll have to do a lot of unpleasant things. Will they put effort into the record keeping they need to learn as pros if they aren't willing to write a paper? Will they be able to communicate in team exercises if they can't even put what they want as a hero into words? How patient can they be for slow moving cases? The class can see his point even if it's not exciting.

The second day of school, two students hand him papers. Bakugou asks if he can start fight training sooner now since he did the whole dumb essay. Midoriya asks him to look over the first draft if he doesn't mind, because he just had a lot of ideas where to take it and wants it to be really good.

By the start of homeroom the second day, these two are no longer sitting in desks right by each other.

5. On the fourth day of school, while Manual has his class looking over their costumes and getting peer feedback, he realizes that Vlad usually would be sending bragging pictures of his class in rescue training right about now, to see if Manual could get his kids to beat them next week when they went to USJ. He sends a message. It doesn't go through.

He thinks "huh, that's weird" right before robot sentry alarms go off about vines erupting from USJ's roof and throwing students out frantically. Manual grabs the closest non combat adult in the hall to watch his class and runs to help figure out what's going on.

he tried to look nonchalant as he responded with a questioning hum. yeah, he was putting stuff on the top shelves. "hmm, what?"

you crossed your arms and glared at him. "you heard me."

he turned to you with the picture of innocence plastered on his face. "i don't know what you mean, i just put things where i put them. it just happens that they're high up."

you raised an accusatory eyebrow.

"for you, anyway." he mumbled, turning back to make his sandwich.

"exactly!" you exclaimed. "for me! you know i can't reach things up there and you do it on purpose!" you found your face was hot as you explained it.

you knew exactly why—you both had gotten into a little fight and you weren't talking to him for a while. this was the first time you had spoken since the argument, and even though you were yelling at him, your voice was music to his ears.

a small smile spread on his face despite his efforts to feign innocence. "on purpose?"

"yes!"

he paused, walking towards you. his disregard for space led to you being crammed against the counter behind you. he leaned over you and asked, "what it is that you need, love?"

your cheeks heated and you cast your gaze to the floor. "the box up there..." you murmured. he stretched to reach it and you flattened your palms against his chest. "izuku! you're squishing me—!"

he chuckled and brought the box down to the counter before kissing your forehead. "i'm glad we're talking again."

BAKUGO

"what was that?" he asked you, a knowing smirk on his face.

you huffed, already on top the counter trying (and failing) to reach the stupid box you needed. "i said stop putting shit on the top shelves. you know i can't reach it."

he shrugged, turning his attention back to his phone. "i dunno what you're talkin' about, princess."

you glared and pointed to the box. "you don't even use it?!"

"aw, don't jump the gun on me now, babe. you know i like to switch things up a lil' bit." he grinned, taking so much joy in your visible frustration. he was just happy you were speaking with him again.

you rolled your eyes, electing to ignore him as you tried your best not to fall off the surface or pull the cabinet down with you.

bakugo eyed you carefully as he threw away the thought of you begging for his help, reluctantly decided your immediate safety was more important. "'kay, that's enough." he walked over, his hands on your hips steadying your wobbly movement. "you'll hurt yourself, y/n. come down."

"i want that stupid box..." you pouted.

he rolled his eyes, his arms now circling around you as he lifted you off the counter. you gasped and curled your legs towards your body, clutching his wrists.

"oh, relax, you know i won't drop ya." he grumbled and set you down next to him. he easily plucked the box from its high perch, handing it to you.

"happy now?" he pinched your cheek. "stubborn brat. could've broken a bone or somethin'."

RODY

"what, having trouble sweetheart?" he snickered.

your face heated and you huffed. "rody... just get it for me, please."

"hmmm..." he pretended he was thinking hard. "i think... no."

you looked at him incredulously. "no? you put it up there!"

"i so did not." he turned up his nose, though pino was smiling and nodding her head.

you narrowed your eyes at him. "you're sabotaging me into breaking your silent treatment."

"whaaaat?" he exaggerated confusion. he held his head and pointed at himself dumbly. "me?"

"you're impossible." you rolled your eyes, moving to climb onto the counter.

"in any case, my plan worked wonderfully," his signature smirk graced his lips as he laughed softly, leaning against the wall to survey your distress.

your fingers just about brushed the side of the box before pino crashed into it, sending it further back and completely out of your reach. you swiveled to glare at the little pink bird. "pino!"

she bashfully twirled in the air before happily fluttering away.

rody's laughter filled your ears and you groaned, resting your head against the shelf. you heard shuffling—when you looked up, rody and his stupid smug smirk was beside you, easily bringing the box down.

"now we both look stupid, yeah?" he pressed a fat kiss on your cheek and softened when you laughed brightly.

I cant believe i have to say this but if you still hate bkdk in 2023 you need SERIOUS help in reading compheresion. let me run it down for you real quick about midoriyas character:

he is strong headed and fucking stubborn. no, he wouldnt have killed himself, and no, i dont care if you relate to midoriya and hate bakugou because guess what. midoriya isnt YOU. midoriya isnt LIKE YOU. he doesnt think of himself as a victim, and he doesnt hate bakugou, and if i have to say this one more time im going to lose my mind.

the "bakugou abused midoriya at a inch of his life" is just WRONG LMAO hori made it clear that bakugou was at his peak shittiness on episode ONE. even the guys he hung out with said "you went to far- this isnt like you dude" which means his behavior was out of place and unsual. and guess what? afterwards? he didnt cross that line ever again.

how does midoriya feel about it? well i thought it was pretty clear- but heres a refresher: when bakugou said for midoriya to kill himself, what did midoriya do? he got upset. why did he get upset? not at bakugou- he was upset because bakugou would get in trouble. not because bakugou told to off himself, but because possibly bakugou would recieve punishment. he did not give a shit that bakugou was being an asshole, because he was going to do what he wanted anyway. he was going to become a hero anyway. he was going to do whatever it takes anyway, because he is EXCACTLY like bakugou abiet more unreasonable and implusive.

im sorry but midoriya isnt a helpless ray of sunshine that needs your help in saving him. he broke the bones in his arms until recovery girl said "hey listen, if you pull this crap one more time- your arms wont work. period." and yknow what he thought about instead. "ill just use my legs! and break those instead!" BECAUSE HES FUCKING BATSHIT CRAZY!!! YOU GUYS!!! HE BROKE HIS HAND AND USED HIS FINGER ON HIS CHEEK TO CREAT A POWERFUL WAVE TO HIT TODOROKI WITH. YOU THINK HE ISNT CAPABLE OF TELLING BAKUGOU TO FUCK OFF!?!?!

I enjoy how Horikoshi always gives Toshi the trappings of someone semi-villainous who hates AFO and wants revenge, and yet. AND YET. Hate is just not in his nature. This fight IS personal but this time Toshi isn’t looking to kill AFO or smash him into a jail cell per se; Toshi wants to once and for all stop AFO from taking over the world.

The way he corrects himself to “we will do our best” is such a contrast to how he was alone in Kamino, embarrassed to need help. Toshi’s gonna get beat up and it’s gonna look grim, but he’s not assuming he will die. So I’m still betting (1) there’s help on the way; and (2) Toshi will survive.

If this fight ends with injured Toshi and child AFO talking on that rooftop, omghdhdjsjsjrh

MHA and dumbing down all might

Yes, you heard this right I wholeheartedly believe that horikoshi has been dumbing down all might because some of the stuff that happens really makes no sense.

The canon MHA stats that are made by horikoshi himself state that all might is actually quite intelligent yet we never see it in the series. If all might was very intelligent then wouldn't he :

Train Izuku in basic hand to hand combat? I mean he literally gave izuku A whole diet plan and gym routine so he can build up muscle because he realised that it would be DANGEROUS to give izuku OFA at his current state so wouldn't he also train Izuku in hand to hand so izuku can use OFA in closer range? Like are we talking about the same all might who planned how Izuku's life will go for the past 10 months by a whole schedule couldn't be offer izuku combat training?!?!

Fully explain to him the concequences of OFA? I don't mean anything about AFO but the quirk OFA itself. Even though they were both in a rush you could of had all might warn izuku not to use the quirk until the last moment because he was still weak as a user and needed more time to grasp OFA but he just ends up giving izuku horrible advice which just makes all might look dumb.

Realises how bad of a person bakugo is, plans to then help him and then NOTHING?. This can be easily explained by horikoshi and his absolute love for bakugo but all might actually realises that one of his students needs help and he planned to give bakugo counselling that's more then any other teacher has done but afterwards he also becomes blinded by bakugos "greatness BS"

Realises how much of an escalated battle between izuku and Katsuki but doesn't stop it? This one is 50/50 for me while all might didn't have any audio from both of them he saw how badly that battle escalated and it also escalated so badly to the point you had students like kirishima saying that bakugo was going to murder izuku at this rate. Iam actually fine having this one because maybe all might never understood how bad their relationship was so he allowed this to go on but we could of had an apology scene afterwards where all might could of apologised for not stopping it sooner and have some teachers give him constructive criticism on his teaching.

Actually keeps in mind that his successor is a child and understands that OFA is a big secret for a child to have or keep but then kind of leaves izuku alone with no proper support system? Look I get it. Telling every single living being about OFA is very very dangerous but the only people that do know about it do NOTHING to help or support izuku and with something like OFA Izuku definitely needs support so you could of had at least a bit of the teachers know vague details of the quirk (they don't have to know about how it can be transferred and passed down) but know that Izuku got it late. I get the reason why all might is so strict about telling NO ONE but it doesn't help Izuku. ALSO PROPS ON ALL MIGHT FOR ACKNOWLEDGING THAT IZUKU IS JUST A KID!!!!!

Withholding help from izuku (but not really??) ???. Idk how to word this but let's be honest it's not a good look on all might when you have Izuku learning more from GRAN TORINO AND ENDEAVOUR?!?! When it comes to OFA all might is just there a lot of the time ( he doesn't really do much) and yes you can blame this on the narrative because we don't get that many scenes of them and their relationship in their first place but the point stands it's not a good look on you when you're successor is learning more from people who aren't OFA user's. I know all might was probably afraid of gran Torino and that's why he didn't contact him but like almost withholding and putting off help for izuku isn't a good look especially when we see all might do nothing about izuku breaking his bones.

Forgetting to tell izuku about AFO?? At the beginning of the conversation after the stain arc it's stated that all might forgot tell izuku about the origins of the quirk which rubs me off the wrong way. I think the whole AFO reveal and it's involvement with OFA could of have been a great plot point that would make us see Izuku's feelings and maybe create some tension in AM and izu's relationship which can be sorted out because Izuku just accepting that he is gonna have to FIGHT a full on villain that has killed multiple people with no complaints rubs me off the wrong way

All might is scared of gran Torino because of how hard he was "trained" by him but then brutally beats izuku and bakugo around??? I don't know but the whole final exam fight seemed so out of character of all might especially with how hard he was going at Izuku like recovery girl herself stated that he would of damaged Izuku's lower back a whole lot more if he added more aggression and this makes no sense to me. You're telling me the guy who was beaten around by Torino until he vomited and was on the verge of passing out would do that to his own successor and another students

There are definitely more examples of this happening that I didn't include but the point is the plot and narrative tend to heavily dumb down all might which is sad.

Someone can be a GOOD MENTOR but a BAD TEACHER ( especially if it's with a group of overpowered teenagers) however, the plot doesn't do all might justice.

Izuku comes home in a rather foul mood. You think it must be work, but you couldn’t give a fuck about him. He couldn’t possibly have had as bad of a day as you. Your imprisonment within the blue walls is testament to that.

All the number one hero wants is your affection, to show that you care just a little about his problems. You stand up to leave the room, to go somewhere he’s not. It’s hard to get away from someone you live with though.

“Hey!” He snaps at you, his voice sounding like it’s on the verge of breaking.

You stop in your tracks. How dare he sound so upset? How dare he sound like he’s on the verge of a breakdown?!

“What?” You manage coldly, your back still turned to him.

“I just…can we sit down together?”

His request is so simple, yet you would rather lie down in front of a moose stampede than sit next to him.

“Go to hell, fucking bastard.” You strut out of the room with your head held high.

Sorrow leaves Izuku, and rage floods him. He stalks into the next room after you, the dining room. Grabbing you by your hair, he forces you to bend over the table.

“Why can’t you ever just be nice to me? Why can’t you just behave? All I want is for you to be happy, for you to be good for me! I’m not asking for much,” he seethes, he’s radiating frustration.

If you weren’t as pissed off as he is, you’d be shaking with fear. You can’t beat him in a strength match, but you can run your fucking mouth.

“If you think for one goddamn minute that I’m going to behave for you, then you can stick a gun up your ass and pull the trigger! You’re a creepy, sick son of a bitch! Asking for me to be happy with you is like asking for the mother fucking world! You’re a piece of shit, Midoriya! I HATE YOU!”

He knows you’re struggling right now. It’s just an adjustment that you haven’t gotten used to yet. However, you used his last name while referring to him, and he just can’t let that slide.

Deku pushes your face further into the dark wooden table. You growl due to how sore your cheek is becoming, muscle and bone rubbing into the hard surface. It’s uncomfortable, but so is the vulnerable position you’re in.

“You hate me, huh? You think I’m creepy and sick? I guess I don’t need to be such a gentleman anymore if I’m such a bastard, right?!”

Your fists pound against the table as he pulls down your cotton shorts. His hand rests against your thigh, rubbing it slightly, feeling you shake under his palm. He can’t help how his cock twitches. Whether you’re shaking from fear or anger, he doesn’t care. He has power over you, and he’s going to establish that right now.

You feel him take his hand away before the crashing return of his palm on the crest of your ass. Sucking in a breath doesn’t help you cope with the pain. He adds onto the sting with sharper smacks, working your flesh until he’s satisfied with the color. Not yet, though. He’s not going to be done with you for a while.

“Get comfortable because we’re nowhere near done.” Although he’s smiling down at you, you’re unable to see it.

Squeezing your eyes shut, you bite your bottom lip, hoping that another source of pain will distract you. He soon realizes why you’re not making any sounds, and he begins spanking your thighs.

“Quit biting your lip,” he tells you.

You don’t obey immediately, only when your thighs feel so overworked that you can’t stand it anymore.

“Okay, I’m not biting anymore! Stop it, you asshole!” Demands. Orders. You’re in no place to give those.

Huffing, Izuku pulls down your underwear to pool around your ankles with your shorts. You’re mortified by this predicament. It’s truly humiliating to be you right now.

Crying into your folded arms as he resumes spanking the sensitive under curve of your rear, he begins to lecture you.

“Don’t. Ever. Use. My. Last. Name. Again. Understand?” Each word is punctuated with a stinging swat to your burning skin.

“Alright! Okay! I won’t do it again! Just, let me go!” You try to twist out of his grip. He allows you to go nowhere.

He adds a bit of his quirk’s strength to your punishment. His palm working at two percent strength. It’s enough to break you down into a sobbing mess.

Noting how swollen and beaten your dark and rosy flesh is with hints of bruising, Izuku pulls you up into his arms. He rubs your back to soothe you.

“Wow, it really worked. I should have done this earlier,” he mostly mutters to himself.

With snot leaking from your nose and tears rolling down your red cheeks from puffy eyes, you growl again before biting his ear rather harshly, laughing while it’s his turn to scream in pain.

A Break -- bakugou x reader

You gently close the bathroom door, hoping that the house guests won't question why you're going to the bathroom for a third time in two hours.

Your head feels like it's pounding, and even you notice how the smile on your face doesn't quite reach your eyes. It's been a week, maybe two of non-stop interactions. His parents and your parents taking up every inch of available space in your house.

Your thumbs press into the corner of your eyes and you bow you head, you don't dare look in the mirror. If you see how closely out are to breaking you might finally shatter.

You almost already had a breakdown this morning when you went to shower and found the shower head settings had all been fucked up. You wasted five minutes trying to fix it, almost calling Katsuki in to help before deciding instead to turn it on the highest blast setting. Maybe it would blast away the numb feeling in your head. But it didn't.

And now it's peak cooking time. Everyone is in the kitchen; there's commands and opinions coming from every corner and all you want to do is finish cooking one dish. Just one. But the flour is being used elsewhere, someone just spilled the salt. You slipped away just as your father-in-law started to clean it up.

You jump when the door opens and shuts quickly behind you.

"Katsuki," you hiss, trying to keep your voice low, "what are you doing?"

"What do you think I'm doing? Hiding with you, obviously."

He says it so matter of factly but you can tell from the way that he's watching you and analyzing your face that he's here to check on you.

"What if I was peeing?"

He crosses his arms, "Nothing I haven't seen before."

You roll your eyes and push his shoulder, "Stop, you're gross."

Bakugou pulls you into his arms and you would consider it a hug if your arms weren't pinned down at your sides.

"You love me and all my grossness." You try to break free, wiggling in his arms only for him to tighten his hold on you. "Besides, I know you need a break."

"That doesn't mean breaking my back," you respond, trying to free at least a shoulder or arm to fight back with.

He looseness his grip but keeps his arms around you, and you're finally able to hug him back. Stupid bastard and his big arms. But you nuzzle your face into his shoulder and revel in the scent of him. It's calming and the fog inside your head seems to clear a little with each second.

He rests his chin on your shoulder, the bone digging into your muscles as he talks, "You know, you don't have to be all smiles all the time. You're allowed to just be."

He could tell your smiles were fake too. Of course he could, there's no fooling him.

"I just want everything to be perfect, and for everyone to have a good time."

You always feel a little silly admitting this, you know not everything is going to be perfect, but you always feel like it's up to you to make sure it is. Even though you've learned this lesson already, that it's not up to you to make everyone happy, when you get overwhelmed it's easy to forget.

Katsuki kisses your shoulder in silent understanding, and backs away from you, grabbing the door handle.

"I'm putting you in kitchen timeout. Take a 20 minute break. Find out if the Midoriya's set their house on fire, I bet Izuku burned something by now and I need a good laugh."

He gives you a cocky smile, and mouths the words, "love you," before closing the door and leaving you alone in the bathroom again.

He can handle the kitchen better than you anyways, you know that he's going to do fine so you pull out your phone and message the group chat.

'Anyone burn anything yet?'

Every time I see someone say they don't find Midoriya interesting, a piece of me just fades away. I know he doesn't look it, but he's batshit crazy. He is a damn wild card.

EVEN BEFORE OBTAINING OFA.

All Might decided to give OFA after seeing this kid do something crazy (running ahead to save Bakugou from the Sludge Villain... defenseless).

After that, for training, what does Midoriya do?

CLEAN A BEACH!! Keep in mind, he is just a scrawny kid. And then one morning, he just decides "I'm about to do something wild".

He climbs up a pile of trash, and just screams into oblivion with a war cry, shirtless just as the sun is rising.

That's just the beginning!

Kid has punched a robot the size of a building, attempts to fight an obviously dangerous villain with broken bones.

Later during the Sports Festival, he manages to make a new friend with Icy-Hot Princey boy who holds a grudge (I mean rightfully so, but this ain't about him) by breaking his bones and screaming at him and could have got himself killed in doing so. Oh wait! Rewind! Before that, Midoriya goes through an obstacle course race without using his quirk and just being calculating.

AND GETS FIRST PLACE before kids with quirks that can boost their speed!!

After that arc, he faces a whole serial killer!! He gets told not to run off and guess what? He does it anyways!

You know what, let me just list things he is and has done the best way I can because when I say this kid is not what he seems, he is not what he seems.

Doesn't listen, "I do what I want because it's right even though I'll get yelled at for it". Okay, this kid is impulsive sometimes.

Puts up with Bakugou and calls this explosive kid "Kacchan". Who in the hell gives that boom-boom gremlin a cutesy nickname and not once get told to stop using it? Midoriya damn Izuku, that's who.

Has to be told to keep his emotions in check because they affect OFA, his strongest emotion being anger. And when he's angry, just beg for mercy. Just get on your knees and hope he doesn't break your face or something and embarrasses you. (Muscular got it twice as he deserves!)

Faced an ASSASSIN.

Somehow managed to still move like it's nothing after being shocked by KAMINARI and after that, headbutting through Todoroki's ice wall (by accident). (Class 1A VS Deku fight)

Midoriya is intelligent, he's observant. He's able to work how the function of someone's quirk just by watching. He was able to figure out how Stain's quirk worked and how he's using it. Stain, the Hero Killer.

On that note, he uses his knowledge to incorporate that in his own moves and how he can work with OFA. Midoriya is creative.

Even though he knows the risks, he sometimes pushes his body to the limit and breaks his bones and sometimes still wants to fight despite his body being damaged at that time.

Tried to talk down Dabi the same way as he did with Todoroki and honestly, he deserves some credit for that. It didn't worked, but he tried talking to DABI. Dabi is something else.

There's probably more I missed, but I'm just saying Midoriya Izuku is just more than that sweet round freckled face. And you wouldn't think with that face he would have the body he does. He used to be a scrawny kid. But now? He is a pint-sized powerhouse!

Do not take him lightly. He needs to come with a warning label!

I wrote this post to express just how I feel about him.

I know some people are put off by him because "he's the protagonist, he gets a lot of the spotlight".

But that's not stopping me. I mean, Miruko is my number one tied with Midoriya and she shares a lot less focus than he does! To me, a character doesn't have to be minor or a major one to be liked. I look past that role and see their other qualities and in the case of Midoriya, I like his qualities enough for him to be an interesting character to me.

Which is rare for me because my favorites often be the minor characters, characters that don't get as much screen time and aren't as popular. Even for BNHA! A lot of my favorites are characters that haven't spoken in the manga since forever!

(For goodness' sake, I know I'll sound salty for this and I do adore the other characters! The Todoroki's got a whole arc and even an origin to how their whole mess started dating back to when Enji and Rei met! And we still don't know Midoriya’s dad whereabouts! WE KNOW HAWKS' BACKSTORY!! AND WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT HISASHI LOOKS LIKE!! Midoriya barely has had focus for how many chapters this whole ongoing war arc now? Just saying, even though there's a lot of characters, let's not act as if Midoriya gets the spotlight all the time.)

That's just me now.

yandere class 1a hcs because im a degenerate (seperate and togetherish)

okay, for a bit of context, the reader has an earthbending quirk where they can bend anything that comes from the earth (obvs) and theyre very talented at it! theyre so good that if theres even a speck of dirt in a glass of water they could bend it (which is why they get mistaken for having a quirk that controls all the elements instead of just earth)

however, a really big drawback is the fact that they have to be barefoot/wear thin shoes to bend properly so they feel more in-tune with the earth and whatnot

another drawback is that they can feel and "hear" a lot of things with their quirk as long as their wearing thin/no shoes, so hearing other people talk while they can feel the earth rumble beneath them is a bit overwhelming, which is why i feel that the reader wouldnt talk as to not overwhelm themselves too much

however, that doesnt stop the chaotic class 1a, because of course it doesnt

when y/n transfers to ua, the class immediately falls in love with them!

their bubbly personality, their kindness, their smile

if the class could make a list about all the things they love about y/n, it would be at least a lightyear long

i feel like tokoyami, darkshadow and the bakusquad would be the most adamant on trying to get them to speak to them

because even though they like it when they pay attention and sign to them, they need to hear their darling speak!!!

it'd be pretty funny if dark shadow scared them to try and get them to make even the tiiiiiniest noise and y/n turns around slowly and stares until he retreats back to tokoyami (he was a bit jealous that he wasnt looked at like that by them, but whatever)

one day, denki walks by y/n's dorm and hears a voice--their voice

his heart starts beating fast bc omg!!!! he finally heard their beautiful voice!!!

y/n, who can literally feel heartbeats thru their feet, opens the door and is in shock (the pun was intended) that denki is just standing there like the lovesick buffoon he is he totally got their voice recorded too

y/n asks if they can see his phone so they can "record" their singing voice

they then proceed to delete the recording

denki is FLOORED, his flabbers are ghasted!!!

uhhh i dont feel like writing more of the story so heres a rapid fire of random ideas

the whole class has definitely pretended to be sick/hurt multiple times so that their sweet darling would "nurse" them back to "health"

one time shoto used his quirk to make his body hot so it would seem like a fever and y/n touched his forehead and said "omg sho, ur so hot!!! :((("

he fainted from that and had to be taken to the nurse for realsies

izuku has broken his bones just so y/n would give him attention

which is, i kid you not, what made them realize they could bend bone

they taught themselves how to mend, break, and move bone to their will and izuku was so proud!!! (btw he totally has multiple notebooks abt them and their quirk)

iida and todoroki have tried multiple times to pay the reader to talk

mina got them to speak by giving them kool-aid jammers and white peaches

there have been so many times y/n has made ochako so happy that she floats

they have to use their quirk to get her downnnn

there was one time the class went to a pool and tsuyu said it was cold :( so y/n literally bent lava ever-so-slightly closer to the surface of the earth to make sure she wasnt as cold

bakugo has yelled at y/n to talk and they've signed "shh, im mewing" so many times

speaking of them signing, during the sports festival i feeel liek they could body shinso so easily

they learned that they could bend bone AND they never talk, so they just bend his ass out of the ring

UA: Where You Learn to be a Hero or Something

For a school that’s supposed to be “the best hero school in the country if not the world” they sure don’t teach much heroing do they? By my count the hero lessons that these kids have received include:

A “quirk assessment test” which taught them… nothing really. Unless you count Izuku learning how to compartmentalize the parts of his body that he destroys (and, oh boy, do I have thoughts about that.)

Battle trials - which (raises hand) uh, yeah, All Might-sensei I know your all great and powerful and have a heck of a lot of field experience, but this is my second day at school. I don’t even know how to throw a punch. Shouldn’t foundational heroics be more… foundational?

We want to the USJ for rescue training!… and then we watched our teachers get beaten close to death and we never really touched on rescue training again. What even was that? Is rescue a course on its own or was it a one off seminar?

…choosing hero names… and, I don’t care what you say, this is a business marketing class. And why are first years marketing their forever hero names? Shouldn’t they have had an inter departmental collaboration with business students to do this? They had no prior instruction just, “hey, you might get stuck with this bs for the rest of your career.”

Oh, look, gladiatorial spectator sports where we watch a bunch of teenagers beat each-other unconscious for entertainment and profit. Blood for the blood gods!

Though that’s par for the course considering the school let’s shit like this happen.

Not going to heal you anymore. I’m sorry but that isn’t helping! How about some ideas on how he can stop turning his bones to paste instead of an ultimatum? No? Okay, great, I guess we’ll just not get medical attention then.

(Is there another doctor at this school? Can I get a second opinion? Or, you know, actual medical advice about how to control this brand spanking new extremely volatile quirk?)

And then we have internships… yay? I feel like something should have happened before this? I don’t know something like a field work class. Mock patrols on campus… once again what do hero students learn? What is the curriculum here?! Because as far as I can see THERE IS NONE!!!!

And then we have first term exams…

ON WHAT!!!!!??? What have these kids been learning!? Hori, man, you can’t invent a magical school and not tell us about the magic going on in it! This is like if we followed harry to Hogwarts and he went to accounting class and generic magic class! What magic? Oh you know, the magical kind~

And we get to see All Might beat a kid with another kid to teach them about… cooperation?

How?

Just… how?

Listen, this story has gotten under my skin in the worst ways and I just need to know how the MAIN GOD DAMN SETTING in this world functions!

Is there a reason why Bakugo is allowed to stay in the hero course after levying physical and verbal abuse against his classmates? I mean other than the fact that he’s a fan favourite and thus the plot has to bend over backwards to accommodate and validate his behaviour (and shove him into Izuku’s storyline so hard that they’re basically tangoing for relevant plot points, but that’s for another time).

Is counselling sessions too much to ask? Probably. I mean if mental health care was a thing in this universe there is no way Iida would have been cleared for an internship days after his brother almost died. Izuku breaking all his fingers into paste in the gladiator games probably would have gotten him benched too.

au where Izuku can use 100% of ofa off the bat without hurting himself like All Might, he is simply unable to lower the percentage below 100%

oh thanks- tho i do think its funny thats about as happy as you can stretch lol

1- so, izuku blows the zero pointer away and doesn't break any bones. part of that's his own body, part of that's uraraka stopping him from going splat. he's very happy, though of course careful not to use his quirk in public or at school- better Aldera doesn't question him suddenly having one, after all.

2- Izuku begins to suspect there's a problem during the quirk assessment test- he's doing great at dashes and jumps and throws, but has very little control- skidding to a stop well after the end of the run, accidentally blowing back the unfortunate classmate behind him, having a long way to run back normally after the jump, breaking the grip test machine, etc. by the time he gets to the ball toss, he's genuinely afraid he's going to change the weather, but well, has to give it ago anyway. (it doesn't change the weather... yet)

3- Aizawa (temporarily) expels Mineta, who in Izuku scoring better was bumped down to 20th place. he says its weird All Might was watching. after, Izuku tells All Might about his concerns, and All Might changes his first lesson- he splits the kids into two groups, based on if they need to focus on getting stronger (Hagakure, Ojiro, Uraraka, etc), or learning more control (Izuku, Kaminari, Aoyama.) Bakugo is in the 'control' group and pissed that he's in the same group as Deku when he obviously needs to get stronger, having not ranked first the other day. All Might tries to explain that's because he saw Bakugo blow up at a classmate but Bakugo just ignores him and moves to the power group instead. (very... real high school teacher experience there). Todoroki's also in the control group mostly because All Might figured he didn't need more ice power, but he stays to snoop on Izuku and AM being kinda sus.

They still don't make much progress on Izuku using less than 100% tho

4- USJ... Izuku and Tsuyu are on the boat, and Izuku very carefully does the smallest jump he can manage to offset OfA's power, but he and Tsu still clear the entire USj and crack the cement when they land. Tsu goes to help the others and Izuku goes to help Aizawa, throwing a punch at Shigaraki and let's just say, Tomura is sooooooo lucky the nomu jumped in the way because yeah. Nomu gets sent back and Shigaraki is like ".... hey thats supposed to handle All Might at 100%" and izukus like "..... is it now". So Izuku's basically jumping back and forth to hit and get away from nomu to keep anyone else from being injured again, but he's not as practices as All Might and the whole plaza is getting torn up for it, sometimes he ends up jumping too far into another area, etc.

but at the end when All Might gets there, they get to both beat up Nomu together so that's cool :) they deserve more team fights

5- after, RG insists on checking All Might over and Izuku too, even though he says he's fine, and once they're alone RG yells at All Might that if he isn't going to call Gran Torino, she is, since not being able to control his output level is putting him at risk, but also every single one of his classmates- what's he supposed to do once they start training against each other?? Toshinori sighs, but agrees.

“What the fuck?”

Your head snaps in the direction of the sound, and your eyes lock on Katsuki. Fuck. Not part of your very thought-through plan. Panic. Internal fucking panic.

His gaze is fire as he marches towards Izuku. He grabs his collar and lifts him off the ground. Izuku lets out a strangled sound and tries his best to get Katsuki off him. Izuku takes a hold of Katsukis’ arm and twists it, letting him fall to the ground. He lands with a grunt and quickly starts backing up while hurrying to get up.

“This isn’t fair! You cheater!” He yells out between his teeth.

Katsuki swings a fist toward Izukus's face, hitting him square across the jaw. You can almost hear the bones breaking. Izuku lets out a strangled sound and when he finally finds balance again, he leans to the side and spits out a tooth. He grins and takes a step back letting Katsuki soak in his own anger.

“I may be cheating, but I’m not losing.” You vaguely hear Katsuki's face turn pained. “Fuck you!” You hear him yell before he has turned around and is moving with great speed towards you.

You take a step back as he stops before you, dwarfing you with his mere size.

“I… I… emh.” You stutter and try turning away but he grabs your arm holding you in place. Your pussy pulses. This is not the fucking time. The urge to scream at your body, which is betraying you at the moment, is huge. But you try to stay calm, as this giant of a man bends down to be in eye height with you.

“I’m sorry.” He softly says, but you don’t know whether to believe him or not. He fucking just punched a tooth out of Izuku's mouth.

“I think I need to go.” You spit out, already looking for an escape.

“No I… please let me explain?” You feel torn, should you let the man you haven't stopped thinking about since a day in August, let him explain why he punched someone?? Or should you leave and try to forget this horrible experience?

“Fine you get 5 minutes.” A smile spreads on his lips and he takes your hand, and you walk. When you get just a few hundred meters away from the bar, and Izuku. He coughs and turn to you.

“Talk.” You command, his face falls but he nods and starts talking.

“I… ehh… okay, yeah okay. I need to confess something. I kinda… emh… I like you.” You look at him dumbfounded.

“You like me, you barely know me?” HE shakes his head and a small smile spread on his lips.

“You think I don’t remember you, I haven’t stopped thinking about you since the day we met.”

“You remember me?” HE nods and tears creep into your eyes, you haven’t stopped thinking about him and he thought about you too.

He bends down and catches your lips with his. It’s hard and soft, and he pulls you closer by your waist. His tongue swipes over your lip and you open up for him. His taste is intoxicating, and you are already addicted. He quickly takes control of the kiss and has you weak in the knees.

Your pussy pulses and you can feel the wetness running down your leg. He holds you close and you can feel his growing boner against your stomach. When he finally lets you free, you are both gasping for breath. You look up into his eyes, and everything you remember from august comes back. That day, maybe you’ll never admit it, but you needed him just as much as he needed you.

When the fogginess from the kiss bares over, it hits you. You just kissed to guys, to strangers, in the same fucking hour. You turn around and start running, not even listening to the words he yells behind you.

When you get home your heart is betting 100 km/h, and your bones are weak. And the moment you close the door behind you fall down against the door. The urge to cry is strong, but the tears aren’t coming. Everything is too much, the kiss with Katsuki was amazing, but you were not one to want to kiss either of them. They kissed you, and did you want it?

You move slowly through your apartment, taking off your clothes as you walk. Finally reaching the bathroom and turning on the shower. The water is cold when you step in, it makes you shiver, but the cold makes your head clear. Maybe you wanted to kiss them, but would you have done it if you had been in charge? Probably not. You wanted to get to know them both, but this was too sudden. You didn’t know them, maybe you could have gotten to know them, if this hadn’t happened.

The shower slowly gets warmer, and you need the distraction. There are too many thoughts. So, you focus on the way the hot water hits your already scolded skin and the droplets run down your naked form.

As you step out of the shower, you wrap yourself in a dressing gown. You walk into the kitchen and grab the first and best alcohol on your shelf. You turn it bottoms up and down the hard liquor, as it burns down your throat. A content sigh escapes your lips as you feel the alcohol flow through your body.

You turn on some reality show on Netflix and turn on the kettle. You take shot after shot until the bottle is empty. And the next bottle, and probably the next. You lose all kinds of consciousness as the next hours turn into a blurred mess.

What wakes you from your blackout, is a pounding headache and nausea. You run to the bathroom and throw yourself down on your knees, to empty your stomach in the bathroom. The taste of vomit as your throwing up again.

You walk back out into your apartment, with vomit around your mouth and a sickening taste in your mouth. You look at the tv with the fucking ‘are you still watching’ sign blacking out the screen. You press the button for it to start playing and the annoyance makes you stomp into the kitchen to pour the water from the kettle into the noodles. But the water is fucking cold. How long have you been blacked out?

A knock on your door brings you out of your thoughts. When you ignore it the first time, it comes back louder. You step out to the door and open it, to see Katsuki standing there.

When I enter in the fandom, I went to the fics and I saw many where "what if Izu lost his arm?" Bc of what HORI put in the damn story. "If he uses 100% of his quirk...he will lose an arm" (only Dabi, crazy villain, has a quirk that is detrimental to his own life...just saying)

What makes me frown up is how Izu losing an arm in fics offer 0 reward. Disable a hero is fine(if done correctly. Like Babs who became Oracle) and can be an amazing representation...the problem IZU NEVER GET REWARD IN THOSE SCENARIOS NOR HE IS ALLOWED TO BE MAD AT THIS SITUATION.

Like I could like such trope if Izu once lost an army suddenly is reward to "now you can use 100% of the quirk without any issue"

But NOPE. Never.

Its either for angst or shipping sake

"AW shoto still loves him aw Ocha still loves him" I Love shipping. I do but damn...come on. That sucks.

Glad to see this trope is dead (the amount of fics with this trope decreased rapidly) but still...

"It would be so cool if Izu lost his arm. He could be like Edward Elric"

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who disliked this trope with a passion for Izuku and is glad it has now sunk into obscurity. Due to Hori's writing if he went this route with Izuku I don't see it being done well.

In fandom with this trope, while it's good to have "Izu's S.O loves him anyway" lets not leave it at that. If this route is going to be explored it needs to be done so with the depth it deserves to the real people that it affects.

Losing an limb, from what I've heard, is deeply traumatic. There's things like phantom pains. Dealing with prosthetics. Dealing with how others may do a double take. Dealing with the anger feelings from how that loss of limb came about and how things are generally harder sans a limb that others may take for granted and learning to love themselves again.

All of that deserves to be explored in a story.

Now as for OFA breaking Izu's bones - that went nowhere. Nothing was gained from it. Even the stakes of "Stop breaking your bones and I won't help you" from Recovery Girl (Ooo I don't like her and she should lose her license) as well as "Carry on like this and you will lose the use of your arms" went nowhere. There was no point other than to stop Izu being too OP too early in the story, maybe?

This reasoning is very sour to swallow when in the same story, Bakugou is allowed all the plot armour and for his weaknesses to disappear whenever Hori wants to asspull a cool new explosion move (fuck AP shot - truly)...😒

While I wait for MHA 400 official scans, I’ve been thinking a lot about All Might and AFO, and why I’m just so happy with this fight (aside from Toshi screen time, which always makes me day). Buckle up, because we’re gonna get a philosophical at the end.

1. It’s Izuku and Toshi (and Bakugo!!!) all using up their “last resort” options ASIDE FROM EACH OTHER. They’re each putting everything they have on the line and relying on others to help keep them safe. They’re each going to provide the thing that’s missing in the others and I think that’s neat.

2. It’s Toshi rediscovering the joy of helping others — the very thing that made him notice Izuku and choose Izuku as his successor. (Remember that Izuku didn’t directly save Katsuki from the sludge villain. He inspired All Might into plus ultra action so All Might could save both boys.) More than that, the joy of helping others was thing that drove Toshi to become All Might in the first place. He had the idea of becoming “the symbol of peace” before he met Nana and before OFA was in the picture because he just couldn’t tolerate an unjust world.

3. It’s Toshi doing the one thing that only HE can do. It’s his experience and hard-won wisdom that is special in Toshi, and Toshi alone. He can recognize that and appreciate that about himself. Toshi is the only hope of stopping AFO before he reaches Shigaraki and he’s confident he’s got what it takes to win.

4. Yes, Toshi has broken bones, but he (and the other heroes) will gladly blow that off if it means giving help that wasn’t asked for. Giving that help and staying standing — keeping spirit intact despite the physical and emotional difficulty — is the mark of a hero. Remember after the Sports Festival, Izuku talked about how he broke himself not to imitate Toshi, but because he couldn’t take Shoto’s sadness anymore. Izuku needed to break those bones and keep fighting, because that’s how he could help Shoto when nobody else could. Izuku says something similar during DvK2 too. He feels he has to fight Katsuki because he’s the only one who understands Katsuki’s feelings and can help.

5. Notably, staying standing with that kind of mad zeal is the thing AFO cannot do. Stain could, and Overhaul definitely could. But AFO is too risk-averse. The “heat born of living things,” and the mad zeal and the wishing energy that twists fate, is of no use to someone who wants to live forever. Heat and energy and life are all cycles/waves that eventually slow until they die. AFO, on the other hand, intends to put a complete stop to those cycles/waves. He’s become unnatural. If we reflect that back on Toshi, then it becomes clear that Toshi could turn down the mad heat and prolong his life…but the cost would be everything that makes him human and brings him joy. Instead, Toshi is determined to live through this fight while ALSO accepting that aging and death are an inherent part of life. That’s what terrifies AFO. This feral man and his “mad heat” that seem to rush towards death with no fear, over and over again, while AFO’s sole desire is to cheat death and live forever. Back in Kamino, AFO could understand (and exploit) Toshi’s desperation to keep the OFA embers “alive,” but now Toshi can exploit the ONE consequence that AFO fears: an ending.
