BACKGROUND

Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, born Rebecca Tourminet, is a variant of Rebecca Tourminet who was captured by He Who Remains and became an operative for the Time Variance Authority, known as Hunter A-23. During one mission as a Hunter, she was assigned with capturing Sylvie Laufeydottir, although she managed to escape and became a fugitive. After eons of service at the TVA, during which she formed a close friendship with Mobius M. Mobius, she was promoted to preside as a judge. Working for the TVA, Renslayer sentenced a Loki variant who breached the Sacred Timeline to be pruned. However, Mobius convinced her to get Loki as the TVA's consultant to hunt down Sylvie, although the case started to unravel the truth behind the TVA. Renslayer pushed to protect the TVA, even turning against Mobius, sending both him and Loki to the Void. When Mobius came back and tried to bring the TVA down, Renslayer stopped him and left to search for her own free will.

"Battle for the soul of the TVA" + Casey's orihin story + Mobius origin story (maybe ? From the jet-ski location) + this terrified Ravonna who is very likely Rebecca Tourminet.

I obviously cannot be sure of anything, but I feel like season 2 will focus on a rebellion inside the TVA. Which is the logical sequel to season 1 ending. But it makes me wonder if my theory could be right.

Sooner last year, I said neither Loki or Sylvie was right at the end of S1, because one single individual cannot solve a systemic issue by themselves. The real change can only happen from below.

I have a lot of theories that are more headcanons and musing than theories, but I am pretty confident the TVA rebellion is going to be a big theme of season 2.

The (sometimes) romantic counterpart to Kang's many alteregos, Ravonna and her many variants have colored many Marvel comics adventures and now Gugu Mbatha-Raw's performance has imprinted Ravonna's name on the future of the MCU. As an original female character rich with version possibilities, she probably should be near the front of the line to join the MCOC Wishlist.

And they're imediately fascinated by each other, craving for what they both lack and need.

And they're teenagers in love, the most powerful force in the universe.

The two of you stepped on the TVA, walking carefully to B-15’s cell to free the only other that could help you out with your little revolution that was about to bring some chaos to whoever was behind all this.

“Ok, so what’s the plan?” The hunter asked as soon as you opened her cell.

“That’s a good question.” You noted.

“So, no plan?”

“We’ll work it on the way.” Mobius decided.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” You said to him. “You know we’re the minority around here, right? We need to prove to them that they’re variants, too. The only thing is that we can’t tell them that Loki and Sylvie told us. They won’t believe it.”

“The archives.” B-15 remembered and placed a hand on your shoulder.

You shook your head. “There’s no information about whose variants are we. Probably the ones turned into TVA workers are predetermined and don’t even get to the archive to not spill the secret.”

The trio stayed there in the middle of the interrogation room thinking about what was happening.

“Franklin D. Roosevelt High School.” Mobius blurted with excitement. “That’s the answer!”

“When I was at Ravonna’s office, she had this pen I never saw anywhere here. From that High School.” He explained. “I think if we find the school we find her on the Sacred Timeline.”

“What?” B-15 asked and you endorsed it tilting your head.

“Then we can use it to prove the truth to the others.” B-15 complemented it. “Take them there.”

“Alright, that’s incredibly a good plan.” You said surprised. You really thought you were going to improvise most of it. “I’ll find the school at the archive. Mobius, you keep Renslayer occupied. And B-15, you’ll spread the truth.”

“I like the sound of it.” She smiled at the chance to directly tear the TVA lying down.

“Who named you the leader?” Mobius joked as you all left the room.

“Ain’t I ‘the savior of the timeline’?” You winked and he rolled his eyes. “Also, I’m the one who knows more about this place from the three of us. What we found out only fills a lot of gaps. And it also seems like you have some unfinished business with a certain judge.”

“You scare me sometimes.” He muttered.

“Do your part, we’ll do ours.” B-15 shoved him off. You two went the opposite way on the corridor running to get to the archives. “This plan better work out.”

“It’ll work.” You stated with confidence, trying to make it sound more real. “Because if it doesn’t I’m probably going back to The Void sooner than I expected.”

It wasn’t hard to locate the school located on Earth and one specific teacher, Rebecca Tourminet, that was Renslayer’s copy. Also doing a plan of action, where B-15 would bait one squadron to go to that specific place at the Sacred Timeline, was quite easy.

As soon as U-92 and his unit were convinced that they were also variants, the job became easier. Each worker who wanted proof of what you were saying went to Fremont, Ohio, in 2018. They were always shocked to spot their boss like a high school teacher with a different name.

When the majority was sure the news spreaded even faster, gossip was always a specialty of the TVA workers.

B-15 was the key to it. She was a great worker, highly respected between the others of her field and even people that work in totally different areas. With her words and the image of Rebecca Tourminet there was no argument that could stand.

“Is it working?” Mobius asked you when he got to the archives, looking over the incredible amount of files and papers thrown over the same desk you, him and Loki used previously.

“Better than I thought.” You replied, not looking up from the documents. “A lot of them are really angry, though. I don’t blame them but I think this place might be literally burnt down soon.”

“Any news on how to get our memories back?”

That was your job now. You gathered every single paper and note that could say something about that. Now you were working on getting your hands on the classified archives, if only the nerve wracking Miss Minutes was cooperating.

“I’m working on it, but until now there’s nothing promising. We need to get to the classified section in hopes to get the whole truth or at least a small lead.”

“We can take a look at Ravonna’s office.” Mobius offered the idea. I believe she has the good stuff hidden there.”

“Where’s she?”

“Gone.”

“Sorry.” You didn’t ask any more about that. The hurt in his face was enough to tell you to leave the subject by now.

“Come on.” He nodded in the direction of the corridor that’d take you into the main control room.

You bumped into Mobius as you entered the control room,a loud beeping echoed to the place. “What are you…”

Both of you rushed through the maze of halls and passages. You weren’t really paying attention to your surroundings, Loki came to your mind for the first time since you escaped The Void and got into this huge mess.

That started to get you worried. How much time would he take to come back to you? And the worst question that suddenly passed through your mind, would he even come back?

“Oh my God!” He ignored you and stopped in front of the monitor that showed the timeline, usually a straight line.

It wasn’t a line any more. At least not only one.

“Oh…” You manage to say, stopping by his side. Eyes glued to the screen.

The branching was so fast, passing the red line that signed what was reversible. The beeping was almost imperceptible now, your only focus was the ramifying of the timeline.

Those weren't more nexus events, but entire new realities.

That was the multiverse.

“No turning back now.” Mobius said, looking faintly to the monitor in front of him.

“Who said anything about turning back?” B-15 replied. In your zoning out you didn’t notice she pausing there too.

The three of you stayed there, staring at the monitor.

“For all time.” Mobius recited.

“Well, it seems like the timeline is free.” You observed in a fearful voice.

That was so new to all of you.

“Always.” B-15 replied.

…

Loki decided to take action after having a short moment to deal with the pain Sylvie’s treason brought him. He ran through the TVA, more lost than he ever was in that place. Deciding that the archives were a place where he’d probably find you or someone reliable he went that way, searching for your TVA uniform’s colors between those shelves.

“That’s, what, 63 new branches in this unit alone?” Mobius said frustrated.

“Does he want us to just let it all branch?” B-15 asked with concern in her eyes.

“God, these archives are gonna be a mess!” Loki noticed you looking angry, hands filled with binders and folders just like the first time he saw you. “Hope he plans on sending more personnel to me or I’m burning it all down.”

“At this point, how are we even gonna stop it?” Mobius looked at the other two searching for an answer.

“We can’t!” Loki shouted in response, startling your group and making you jump a little droping what you had in hand.

“What?” Mobius was preoccupied. “What’d you say?”

“It’s done, Mobius.” Loki told him, coming closer and then changing his gaze to you. “We made a terrible mistake.”

"What's done?” B-15 inquired.

“We freed the timeline. We found him beyond the storm. A Citadel at the End of Time.” Loki explained it desperately, gesturing so much trying to make some sense of it. “He’s terrifying. He planned everything. He sees everything. He knows everything. It’s complicated. Okay?”

“Right.” Mobius raised his hands in hopes to calm Loki down. It didn’t work.

“But someone is coming. Countless different versions of a very dangerous person. And they’re all set on war. We need to prepare.”

“Take it easy. You’re an analyst, right?” Mobius asked. “What division are you from?”

“What?” Loki didn’t understand what he meant with that question. “What are you talking about?”

“Who are you? What's your name?”

“Tell me you remember me, darling.” He reached for your hand, but you hid it. People at the TVA don’t just go touching each other, and you looked a bit frightened by what he was saying. “Tell them you know me.”

Loki turned to you with a desperate look in his beautiful eyes. After he was betrayed by Sylvie, even opening his heart to her, Loki was almost crashing as he thought about the only person that admitted trusting him doesn’t knowing who he was at all.

“Boots on the ground now. Archives.” B-15 warned her squad through the comms.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t remember seeing you before.” You said in a soft tone. One that sounded like you were really sorry for that. One that almost made him cry again.

“So who are you?” Mobius insisted on the question as Loki looked away from the trio of TVA workers. You walked carefully in his direction worrying about his mental state.

That’s when he spotted the statue of someone he hoped not to see that soon. He looked at the face of the stone carved piece of decoration, frightened to see who was the "he" you all were talking about.

Chaos had started and he wasn’t on the good side of it.

CANON INFORMATION!

okay, okay!!!! i’m re-doing this after watching quantumania, because.. in the words of good, ol’ he who remains - this is wild!!!! alright, there is a lot of ground to cover when it comes to my boy - but.. just know that i will be following a mix of mcu (mostly quantumania with a bit of loki added in) and comics!!!!

with this in mind - nathaniel richards or as he is known later on.. kang the conqueror is - in the words of scott lang, “a time travel space king”, who came from the 31st century and after beginning to experiment with time travel and it’s related technology - figured out that the multiverse was in pieces, after his variants began to “play with time, like children”. in his mind and to stop this from happening - he began the multiverse war and conquered as many worlds as possible, in order to stop the other kangs from destroying it even further.

in other words… he is lesser devil out of a LOT of devils but that does not make him a good guy. obviously. he’s not. eventually, the council of kangs came together because they did not like that he had put an end to their fun and exiled him to the quantum realm, scarring his face as we see in the movie, damaging his time chair and it’s core and separating him from his one true love. permanently.

where did she end up, one could ask? that’s a story for another day - no, he doesn’t talk about it. ever. it feels worse than his own exile. worse than death.

cut to the beginning of quantumania - he was exiled to the quantum realm, being left for death or rather.. so he thought - because he was soon saved by one janet van dyne. it was a terrible thing to grow attached to someone, he knew that. it was even more terrible to believe that they would never leave you, because… as he had quickly found out - that was never the truth. still, he could allow himself to HOPE for once, right?

after realizing that the two of them were one and the same - both lost, both trying to get home, both having lost someone that they cared about - it was basically impossible to stop it. was there love there? maybe. would he recognize it even if it kicked him in the face? probably not. but.. strong attachment? yes. absolutely, which was… what made what came next a thousand times worse.

cut to his time chair’s engine being fixed, cut to him making yet another promise that he could not keep - janet saw into his mind, saw what he had done and.. turned right against him - permanently damaging the core, trapping them both in the quantum realm for good and breaking his heart permanently.

maybe his sanity too - who knows?

still, a conqueror is ALWAYS a conqueror and sooner than later, he turned his prison into an empire and settled for being alright with the thought that.. one day, he’d get out. one day, he’d make them all pay for what they had done. he had to.

cut to the lang/pym/van dyne family being pulled to the quantum realm - and scott lang going from.. what could have been his ticket out of his prison to his greatest enemy. rage, that was all that he could feel - as he saw that portal open. betrayal, because he knew just who knew enough to open it. and yet, no matter how hard he tried, no matter how fast he ran or how many punches he delivered to his enemy’s throat - it still had not been enough. the good guys always won, right? and after being pulled into his own engine core and being trapped there? he swore that he would do better. and next time? whoever dared to cross him would pay for it - as would the extended ant-fam, if he were to ever see them again.

okay, this is already long enough, but… give him friends !!! people from his past!!!! avengers that he might have killed in the past!!!! fellow villains !!!!!! co-workers!!!!!
