Tranquil SAGAU - Part 4
-> Part 1
-> Part 3
-> Part 5
Crepus, true to your initial assumptions of him being sunshine personified, very enthusiastically invited you over for tea once everything in the caravan was cleaned up, the wounded were attended to and the Knights of Favonius reluctantly went on their way.
And by tea, he meant dinner.
And by dinner, he meant a feast that could easily feed an army.
Truly, the Ragnvindr were rich beyond comprehension. Whatever the heart desired, it was at the table. Northern Apple Stew, Northern Smoked Chicken, Sweet Madame, Flaming Red Bolognese, Barbatos Ratatouille, Calla Lily Seafood Soup, Crem Stew, Cold Cut Platter, Satisfying Salad, Sticky Honey Roast -- all alongside many dishes you knew for a fact weren't in the game at all (there was something ravioli-adjacent, a plate of potatoes with seasonings, some dumplings, small snacks, sweet desserts and you even spied something that looked suspiciously like Meringue and was that Tofu? wasn't Tofu Liyuen?), with Apple Cider, Water, tea and a lot of fancy wine (couldn't do without wine at a winery, after all) to serve as drinks.
You had no idea how you were meant to eat so much, or how to even attempt to taste a little bit of everything without your stomach protesting. Did rich people train themselves into having a bottomless stomach so that they could eat what they were given without offending anyone?
"So, (Name)," Crepus began, fancily sipping at his fancy glass of fancy wine, "How come you and your... Friend, arrived at just the precise time to prevent any serious harm? Surely it wasn't a coincidence?"
He chuckled good-naturely as he twirled his wine in circles.
Look at Crepus, digging into the matter without sounding accusatory or condescending! In fact, he sounded eager. You could almost imagine the wagging tail and perked up ears.
Suddenly, you realized who exactly Kaeya took after in his habit of talking circles around people on a daily basis. Not entirely of course -- where Kaeya was smug and suave, Crepus was a giant fluffy friend that had you wrapped around its' paw, because how could you possibly say no to that face? You wouldn't hide anything from a friend, would you? You wouldn't, it was a friend after all, you were so comfortable around him for a reason, there was no need for suspicion and paranoia around sweet old Crepus!
You heard of people weaponizing stupidity, but weaponizing your gold-lab-like personality? That was a first and you clearly met a master of the craft.
"It's a coincidence. Dvalin took me flying every day for the past week. He sensed something off in the distance, so we went to check it out and, well... Ursa happened."
You shrug and sip at your Apple Cider.
Crepus did not look any less excited than before. If anything, he smiled wider and the imaginary tail you swore you saw picked up in speed -- contrasting greatly with Diluc who just sat in his chair silently, with his eyes burning a hole right through you.
A bit unnerving, but what could you do other than endure? Not like he was doing anything wrong, everyone did a little bit of unsettling staring every once in a while.
And besides, this wasn't the Diluc who would burn an Abyss Mage into unconsciousness just to burn them awake for information, this was a baby. A Diluc that wasn't hardened by the loss of his family, by the betrayal of his adopted brother turned Khaenri'ah spy, by the corruption of the Knights of Favonius he sincerely admired and by Snezhnaya kicking him while he was down. He was wearing his heart on his sleeve and now you got sad thinking about what would have happened had you (and Dvalin... Mostly Dvalin...) not been there to intervene.
Everything was not Daijoubu.
"Then what did you friend mean, when he said you could permamently put down Ursa?"
Crepus sounded so genuinely curious and excited, it was adorable. How was this grown ass man so cute? With that crime against humanity of a beard too? It was utter witchcraft!
For a moment, you considered lying about your situation. You considered outright saying you couldn't tell because of personal reasons. You considered following the role model of all fools, Nie Huaisang, and shaking your head out of the situation, repeatedly saying 'you didn't know, you didn't know, you really didn't know--!'
But then you realized the cat was partly out of the bag anyways (thanks Dvalin, you're as subtle as a brick to the face) and it would be just a waste of effort on your part.
"No idea. He's convinced I'm the All-Mother of Teyvat and the longer I am around, the stronger I'll get. Theoretically, it would mean I could do something about Ursa somewhere down the line, but that's if I'm the All-Mother at all, which I doubt."
(Quietly, you refused to acknowledge the part of you that has long since accepted Teyvat would never hurt you and that you may be the All-Mother. Damn Dvalin and his silver tongue, it's like Venti getting Genshin!Diluc on his side with his song all over again!)
Crepus positively shook in excitement, a grin so bright you really wished for sunglasses this time. It's like this sunshine of a man had made it his personal mission to blind you.
Diluc just looked stunned silly, eyes wide like saucers and mouth slightly open in shock.
You sip at your Apple Cider awkwardly, thanking the Archons that neither Kaeya nor the Dawn Winery staff were around to add more weirdness to this disaster of a dinner.
☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ* ✨ Author Note✨
Look at me, completely ignoring Canon.
Did Crepus have a personality in Canon? Maybe. I didn't read the manga. Do I know what it might be? Nope. I didn't read the manga, so now he's an excited gold lab with a side seasoning of sly fox.
The beauty of fanfiction, reality is whatever the hell I want it to be.
Sometimes you need to just run with half a fact you probably misheard and misinterpreted to make something fun happen, SAGAU needs some fluffy vibes without the damn cult worship.
The people that know what they're doing are writing impostor AUs and cult AUs, so might as well volunteer myself as tribute for this one.
I should probably make a masterlist at some point, shouldn't I? The parts are going to grow really fast considering I keep them all short.
Something to think about.
✨Taglist✨
@game-savvy @chaoticfivesworld @mmeatt
Heeeey, mmeatt's tag works finally! It only took me 3 parts to figure it out!
Also special mention to @chaoticfivesworld who casually dropped some important lore on me in a comment, probably not realizing it would become a plothole in the future because, I repeat, I don't know canon as much as I probably should.
Yolo.

—﹒⟢ The Way I Think (of you~) ft diluc, kaeya, tartaglia
Tumblr media
summary: they caught you in the act, but you're too close to stop now!
a/n: ill probably make a pt2 of this but,, this is my apology post for u guys i promise ill come back soon 💔💔
warnings: nsfw, use of toys, sub!reader, dom!character, gn!reader, fingering (no not implied fem!reader)
Tumblr media
diluc did mention he wasn't gonna be home early again.. so what was the harm of missing your boyfriend in a.. different way? you barely have seen your diluc all week other than small notes he leaves behind. but turns out he wasn't gonna be out all night, finishing off the last hilichurl camps nearby plus any abyss mages with them. the thought of you both finally cuddling in bed, to his surprise though, it wasn't like you didn't miss him, and wouldn't do something about the feeling.. but this way of missing him was.. truly interesting. through the candle lit hallways of the 2nd floor in dawn winery, he heard something. like you calling out his name, "dear, are y-" coming into the room, weeing you sprawled out on the bed, small tears im your eyes, giving a hint you were close, "i'm so sorry lo-" "j-just help me out please, close, i need you luc.", but oh well, let's just say you got what you wanted, a million times over
Tumblr media
kaeya your wonderful superb boyfriend, sad he's been away for a bit too much, well 2 weeks certainly is alot. nothing else but him would be on your mind at dawn, when would he come back, when would he make you feel ethereal again, wanting that isn't so bad right? oh well, a human's imagination is infinite. he didn't mention when he'd be back, so.. what was the harm in missing him in a special way? waiting around doing nothing gets you nowhere! what about a headstart? just that, you didn't know he wanted to surprise you specifically today. "mmfー faster.. close so close" you said to yourself, vibrator remote scattered on the bed, fingers thoroughly in and out, a fast pace, you heard the door opening, (oh by the way his scarf thingy is like on your neck basically, don't ask me how ❤️) "hey i'm ho- oh my..." he says, slowly putting down the chocolates he'd bought from who knows where, "iーi'm sorry! i couldn't wait and y-you weren't there to help this, ha-hagh.. please i'm so c-close!" kissing your forehead oh so lovingly, "i'll treat you better than those toys.. don't you worry your pretty head about it anymore, i'm here."
Tumblr media
pretty boy childe.. ohh pretty boy childe. unbeknownst to him, his cute (and fuckable) partner was quite the lonely wolf tonight. maybe the way you howled out his name at night really did it. but out if all timesー he comes home now.. childe comes through the door awaiting you to wrap your arms around him and smother him in affection again. but you didn't seem to be there at all. he wondered where you were, coming up the stairs calling your name, but being cut off after coming close to your guys' shared bedroom. and it didn't seem like you were trying to hold back, as he slowly peeked through the slightly open door, you were so close, he could sense it. seeing you so vulnerable, so sensitive for him. so adorable, just for him. the tent in his pants becoming more visible, seeing you slowly moaning out his name, mewling, in such a cute state, as he described, "my, my, you really couldn't wait could you beautiful?" he said, slightly looking up to see your lover's hungry eyes, devouring the sight of the scene you both are in the moment. "a-ah! a-ajax, p-please 'm close!" you said, your head bowing down in embarassment, "fine, just keep moaning my name out that pretty little mouth of yours."

i hope i ace my exams

Kisses all over
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Characters: Kaeya, Diluc, Albedo, Zhongli, Tartaglia, Kamisato Ayato
Warning(s): None
Genre: Fluff
Summary: What kind of kisses do the men like to give you or what kind do you give them?
> GnReader!
Tumblr media
❅ ᴋᴀᴇʏᴀ
Kaeya tends to kiss you when you least expect it. When you're presenting some information about an active hangout of the hilichurls and abyss mages? A kiss on the side of your lips or when you start to ramble on about how annoying someone was to you during one of your commissions earns you a peck on the lips.
These kinds of kisses can be seen as teasing ones, maybe to just get you flustered or irk you a bit but when the sun starts to set and the two of you are back at home cuddled up in bed, his kisses are more needy than general. He loves the feel of them, chapped or not he just wants to feel closer to you.
Another one is the lip gloss kiss, he might put some lip balm/lip gloss on his lips and kiss you so now it's transferred to yours too <3
Just another one cause I love the idea of it, the ice kiss; where he simply places a ice cube between his teeth as he passionately kisses you to the point it melts and he hops that it was able to send shivers down your spine and laugh at your reaction.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴅɪʟᴜᴄ
Diluc kisses you after waking up, before heading to work, when he comes back from his dark night hero duties and most of the awaited ones come from before sleeping. Those gentle fleeting kisses upon your forehead all the way down to your cheeks and lips felt so heavenly and so soft to the touch that you could quite literally melt into a puddle of water. You swear that it truly only feels like the two of you are alone in the world.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴀʟʙᴇᴅᴏ
Just like Diluc, his kisses are also very soft to the touch on your skin. One thing he likes to kiss is your nose though, you may find it weird as to why he likes to kiss you there but he finds it very cute. Of course not only just that, he kisses you on the lips, cheek, forehead, above your eyelids and basically anywhere to where your skin is exposed.
This could also apply to you when kissing the Alchemist, mainly on the star mark on his neck. It's ticklish for him there so he may let out a bit of a chuckle and tell you to stop but in reality; he loves this attention you're giving him.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴠᴇɴᴛɪ
Kisses from Venti are very playful but full of love. The playful kisses come in when your both at the tavern and as the usual, he's already drowned himself in the renowned dandelion wine. At times like these he's clinging on to you and litters your face and lips with quick pecks. Please don't be ashamed of his now smelly and reeking of wine smell of a breath but he just simply loves to kiss you and maybe even possibly irk or tease a certain red head behind the counter.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴢʜᴏɴɢʟɪ
Chin or Jawline kisses for Zhongli! It's very late at night and the two of you had just came back home after going to see Yunjin's play, he had finished changing into some comfortable sleeping clothes but just before he could tuck himself into bed you had just gently took him chin into your hands, tilted his head down and stood straight as your lips came in contact with his chin. It's nice to say that you have stunned him but his eyes soon went into a gentle and soft gaze to yours, he can't help but let a goofy smile plant on his face at your actions.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴛᴀʀᴛᴀɢʟɪᴀ
He loves to American kiss you, sounds just a bit like the French kiss but without use of the tongue. Though you could just basically call it a deep kiss, anyways! Whenever the both of you are free, he likes to take strolls with you along the port where all of the ships come and go. When people start to pack up for the night and no one else is left, he pulls you in by the waist and fills in the gap that was once in-between you and his lips captures yours. He might even put a hand behind your head so you wouldn't escape; by the end both of you are gasping for air as he gives you a lopsided smile.
────────── 〔✿〕──────────
❅ ᴋᴀᴍɪꜱᴀᴛᴏ ᴀʏᴀᴛᴏ
Ayato who loves to nibble on your lower lips gently when no one is around, he also tends to let a smirk slip past on his face while he's doing this to you. He just finds it very amusing to see how you're trying to break out of his grip and let out a whine saying how some of the guards, workers, Thoma or Ayaka might see this and most likely just become very flushed.
Something similar like this is where he just gently sucks on one of your lips as another way to say 'I love you'.

Genshin Impact: First Impression
I know, "You just NOW getting into Genshin after four years?'
Well, I didn't want to play on my phone so I waited to buy a laptop. I did bought a MacBook for school but then I found out that even though this game runs on IOS it doesn't run on MacOS...
(I should've known since the game isn't on the Switch...
Why most of the games I want to play isn't playable on the devices I have- Anyways back to the point.
I just finish Mondstadt in Genshin and so far I really like the story which makes me excited for what they have in store in Liyue. So this is all my thoughts about the first Archon quest, all in one go.
Tumblr media
This chapter was a nice introduction to the world of Tevyat and I like how we already have to worry about two antagonistic groups (The fatui and Abyss Order)
Matter of fact let me list down how I think of each character:
The traveler:
I wish they have more character to them especially during the cutscenes. Despite being the protagonist I feel like they’re just in the backseat most of the time with the exception of them needing to action scenes. (Due to this my version of the traveler is that they're snarky but their heart is in the right place.) But I like how they showed us what the other sibling is doing because most stories they will have it a mystery right before the final arc
Paimon:
She’s cute but also WHERE IS HER PARENTS? At the start, she said that she was saved from drowning and I was like “Who was watching you?? Do you have any friends or anything?” I truly believe she will be a plot point in the story considering she can float around and have a space aesthetic to her
Venti:
I really like how mysterious he was at the start of the story and then later we see how much of a doofus he is. (Not saying he's dumb but carefree) Despite not wanting to be a ruling god, he still cares for his city in his own way. I don’t know why but if you mix Pit and Palutena together and then boom there’s Venti.
Amber:
I love her design so much. It's simple yet effective especially with the red bow. I feel like the team knew this too which is why she comes with her own plushie which is so freaking cute! Her character quests is fun too when she taught us to get our own glider's license. I don't know why but she gives the first classmate you befriend in class energy (Probably because she is the first person beside Paimon that we met in the game)
Kaeya:
I’m down bad I like how he has a laidback personality yet he’s always behind the scenes. Despite the front he puts up, you know he’s doing something else. Kind of wish we get to see more of him but I’m satisfied with what we got
Lisa:
At first I thought she was going to be a flirt she kinda is But I found it funny how she’s has a “I don’t have time with this bs” attitude on her side quest but still have a lot of patience for people's BS at times. I can't exactly remember but I think when she was trying to find all the overdue books, she went "I might as well make it fun" and brought the traveler and Paimon along too.
Jean:
Once I take a step back and think of all the things she had to deal with during this arc, it was definitely something. Abyss Order, The Dragon, The Fatui and trying to keep the citizens calm. She doesn’t get enough credit where it’s due. There's this one line delivery in the English version, I can't exactly point out when but it was about how the Fat couldn't get the upper hand in the situation. I don't know why but her tone of voice was passive aggressive, like she was praying on their downfall.
Diluc:
Mix opinions on him due to him sending us to find four of those ice flowers and I had to spend a hour and thirty minutes trying to find the fourth one. So yeah I have bitter feelings about that Serious note, he's probably my favorite character in Mondstadt if we're not including Amber and Kaeya. Bro is the Batman of the game, they even call him the Dark knight
Abyss Ice Mage:
Yeah I dedicated a whole section to this NPC because Imagine being electrocuted by Lisa and flamed by Diluc within a week. Like bro was put in the wringer (rightfully so). Kinda hoped they appear in the future story so this trend of Ice Mage being comedically abused continues.
My thoughts of the story:
I thought the first archon quest of the story is neat. It has nothing too spectacle as it works as a exposition to the world of Teyvat and it done that job very well.
The twist of knowing where the traveler's sibling is doing was definitely something I never thought would happen. Usually in most stories, they would have the sibling in prison but nope.
Your sibling is doing fine just helping out the big bad organization that is trying to destroy Teyvat.
Now this may be a reach but I like how each character has the freedom of accomplishing their goals by their own way.
First you have the traveler, by default they have the freedom of not being born in Teyvat as they are not from this world. Because of this, they have the ability to use more than one element. Another note is that because the traveler isn't bound by the nation's rules as they wasn't raised in Teyvat, they're always the person with a third option, sort of like a spectator...
is this why they're so quiet? So he can hear the opinions of others before making their own conclusions???
Paimon also has freedom as she doesn't have a parental figure which allows her to tag along, traveler on their quests.
Moving on to the people of Mondstadt, even within the Knights of Favonius who are under strict codes, handle tasks using their own method.
Example of this is the uniforms.
While Amber, Lisa, Kaeya, and Jean share the same motifs as being in the same group, their uniforms are completely different. You know how in magical girl shows, where you have sailor moon, where every soldier wears the same design but different color palette? Then there are other shows like Magica Madoka, where the girls where completely different outfits? The knights of favonius fits the latter, with the exception of the NPCs.
Even the way they handle tasks are different. Amber make sure she does her best to follow the rules but with a bit a flare. Lisa is a tad strict but her approach is passive. Kaeya always tries to find a loophole in the situation to see the whole picture. (Example: Him "staying behind" in the city, to get more information about the Abyss Order). Jean who follows the rules, but know there are times when the rules have to be bend.
Then you have the outliners like Diluc and Venti who are not apart of the knights. Diluc doesn't trust the knights to completely solve the problem so he acts as a vigilante, to pick up the pieces they fail to notice.
Venti who is the god of freedom, decided to not rule his region like the other archons. Instead, he watches it from afar, like the guardian he is, and steps in when the time is right.
All these characters are different in one way or another but they all come together to work together because they all share a common goal. Still even if you do things your own way, you still have to bear the responsibility of your actions.
Venti was too nonchalant in his approach of protecting his region which resulted in a Harbinger, La Signora, taking his Gnosis.
I say he was nonchalant because he was focus on the current problems of his country, which was storm bringer, and not future problems such as the Fatui. Because he wasn't focus on them, he let his guard down when the problem with storm bringer was solved.
I know this may be a stretch and I'm just writing what pops up in my head but that's what I got from the message of the archon quest.
Speaking of La Signora, how the hell did no one saw her attacking Venti and traveler or at the very least heard it? I know Barbara did but you're telling me that only ONE person heard that shit?!
So after talking to Venti it appears that we have to go to every seven regions to find the traveler's siblings. Or in this case, try to convince them to not destroy this world.
The fuck do we look like Pokemon Trainers?... Because I can sing the theme songs if you want
Either way, I had fun with the story. Gamplay-wise... I'm not really much of a gamer myself. I don't go into the mechanics of the game.I play fighting game, barely knowing the combos and just smash buttons to win
However, I can say the gameplay of Genshin is easy to get into. Unfortunately, it's a rpg so I have to farm for materials... yay, I guess. But it's not as bad as Fate Grand Order, Fate grand order farming system is a shit storm especially considering how it's a turn based but doesn't have a auto-farm system.
(for those who want to get into the story of FGO, just look it up on Youtube, do not play the game. )
When exploring, I often hesitate of where I go, because the game doesn't want you to explore said region yet, They will send Paimon telling you "Let's explore that later" only to yeet you off the cliff.
Speaking of Gameplay Paimon, she always setting us up. There was this purple spot, and she told us to blow it away to see what it is, only for it to be the eye of the storm... Its not like it was hard but it was annoying to fight it.
At least she let us control the time though.
Overall, I had fun with the game, I'm looking forward for Liyue and thank you for reading all of this as I was writing as I go so I know there is MANY grammar errors in this review.
Can't wait for Liyue because then I will get to see the character that convinced me to play the game.

Myuni you are my internet crush and I love you
Thank you for being such an *amazing* writer
(´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`)
hi hi! thank you for the compliment hehe
since you're so sweet, i'll give you all a little treat. let me share some of my recent brainrots mwehehehehe
tw: child abandonement mention, yandere content, slight violence
i was thinking about platonic yandere!kaeya who receives a report about theft happening in the market. nothing too bad, just a few fruits or skewers that go missing every few days. still, it's become a cause of concern. as the cavalry captain, he's on the case.
it isn't long until he finds this little brat, hiding away in a small cave by the whispering woods. your clothes are dirty, and you're scratched up to your legs. your hair is messy, and your face is dusted with dirt. you remind him of some kind of animal, especially so when you stare him down like one the moment he comes close and protectively gather the stolen food in your arms as if they were priceless jewels.
even so, kaeya recognizes you as the scared child you truly are. he shows he means no harm, speaking gently and softly as he kneels down to your level. "hey there," his voice bounces off the walls, "what's your name?"
it takes him handing you an apple and letting you munch on it before you allow him to even come near you. kaeya is finally able to sit right next to you. he sighs and asks you a few questions. it's not long until he realizes you're a child abandoned by their parents, left to steal and live a life of misery if you hadn't already perished to
a small twinge of pity and maybe even sadness tugs at his heartstrings because he too knows what it feels like to be abandoned, but even then, his own father was kind enough to leave him in good care -- unlike your parents. he ends up taking you to the knights of favonius after assuring you you wouldn't get in trouble (he also thought it was kind of cute the way you clung onto him and cried for him not to put you behind bars). a bit of discussion later with jean, and you're put into his care since you were already somewhat familiar with him.
it's a chore at first, maybe, but he grows a soft spot for you. who wouldn't when this lovely little thing won't leave him alone? you follow him around and try to help him with paperwork even with the limitations of your vocabulary and skills. you clap and laugh when he shows off the little tricks he can conjure with his vision. somehow, you put a little bit of color into his life again.
after a while, there's nothing he won't do for you. in classic kaeya fashion, he pokes fun and teases you, but he'll get rid of whatever makes you cry. you might not even notice it, but if you bat your eyes and tug on his scarf, you can get away with anything. you can even pull him away from the tavern early. just drop by, and he'll be so concerned as to what you're doing there. he fusses so much that he ends up taking you home and just spending the rest of the day just doing whatever you want to do.
he loves it the most when you call him "brother." he doesn't like to be called dad or anything of the sort ("i'm not that old, am i?" he drunkenly sulked once at the tavern after you accidentally called him dad). he doesn't smile sincerely very often, but he just beams whenever you come running to him, calling him brother after a hard day at work.
during the attack of abyss mages on the city, he gets worried about you the most. before having to defend and serve as a knight, he actually leaves you in the care of dawn winery because he knows that you'll be safe and secure there. he hates to leave you, but he just jokes it off, so you won't have to worry too much.
"don't miss me too much, okay? i'll only be gone for a little while." his words seem way too nostalgic, and the mood of the situtation just feels all too familiar. "be good while I'm away. just stay here, and don't go outside until I come back. If anything happens, the adults can take care of you." you're crying into his uniform, but he knows you'll follow his words. you're a good kid like that.
when he's finally in the fray, he's ruthless. so much more than he usually is. he just wants to come back to you, pinching your cheeks as you tell him you missed him so much. he clicks his tongue when another wave of monsters of the abyss enter the city. he knows what signed up for, and he's happy to defend mondstadt, but this was the reason why he had to be away from you -- why you had to cry.
that to him was enough of a reason not to care. so he doesn't care what he has to do to come home to your smiling face, even if that means raising hell before freezing it over.

What is it about Klee you don’t like?
I fucking hate her voice so much. Like I have listened to her voice outside of English and they're all more tolerable (I will never understand why they directed the VA to talk like that..) but I play in English for Venti mostly and Albedo so unfortunately I have to hear her awful weird simultaneously high and low pitched voice.
I can't stand how every example of her being really powerful has first off nothing to do with her strength as an individual and instead is a product of the bombs that ALBEDO fucking gave her. (He is such a shit older sibling omg..) and is also told to us as audience members instead of shown. Like wow the little kid toting around dangerous weapons demolished huge portions of land?? That's so shocking I simply can't imagine that giving what is basically a ten year old bombs could have destruction occur. 🙄
Plus it rubs me the wrong way how much the fandom thinks calling her a "little terrorist." Is cute. She has no character other than that one over used lame joke about her blowing shit up. I believe I said it before but every single thing that makes her "interesting" has nothing to do with her and is more about the people surrounding her. All the other chibi girls have something interesting about them as a character. Qiqi is a zombie brought back to life who wants to better understand what it truly means to remember and be alive. Diona is a young girl struggling with her father's alcoholism. Nahida is a god who was shunned by her own people and then used out of greed. What's Klee? She's got a mom who comes around rarely does she struggle with that? Not really she's surprisingly happy despite being emotionally neglected. Albedo shoos her off cause he has work for the fifty millionth time. She doesn't whine like a child would, she doesn't even look mildly disappointed she's just like cool ya gotta do what you gotta do right. And yeah she was sad during the Irodori festival for like two seconds but it was about her stupid book possibly not getting published. And instead of going the interesting route and having Klee not get what she wants cause that's not how fucking life works everyone goes aww poor little baby let's pitch in and make all her dreams come true and then she gets what she wanted. 😑 In her story quest when she blows up that abyss mage she cries but like why should I care?? Abyss mages were set up to be evil Idgaf that she murdered one! And if I'm supposed to feel bad because she thinks she did a bad thing.. I still don't all I'm thinking as an audience member is he stole your bomb from you?? Why the fuck should you care that it blew him up when he was the one toying with something you told him was dangerous. 🙄
She doesn't feel like a character she doesn't seem to struggle or have set backs. Whenever something goes wrong for her it magically gets fixed. The worst thing that happens to her is she gets put on time out. Which is played as a joke anyway so like 🤷‍♀️ She feels so incredibly one note I will never understand why people like her. Also last note every other chibi girlie in terms of cuteness >>>>>>>>> Klee (yeah Dori too I guess but I don't like her either)

Hello! Just wanted to say I'm a huge fan of the way you draw Wrioney, so very tender and cute 🥺 Your artstyle is overall quite nice to look at as well!
Also, seeing how the dynamic you set up for them in your art is somewhat different to how they interact canonically, I was curious if you could share how you felt ab them after 4.1? Did their "bickering" discourage or inspire you with new, fresh ideas?
hey there! thanks so much for liking my art of them :") it means a lot! and also thanks for wanting to know my opinion of the ship itself and not just the art, too! warms my heart.
short answer: the 4.1 archon quest did leave a bad taste in my mouth, yes, but i got over it and realized wow. i love wrioney so much and i would rather have this than any other cookie cutter "perfect/wholesome" dynamic
long answer/explanation under cut!
first off, pre-4.1 wrioney's setup was just too good for me to pass up and hit all my fav points. cat (chat noir) + dog (cerberus) dynamic??? criminal x prison warden???? wriothesley's tareme eyes to lyney's upturned ones? cute! not to mention i liked how their color palette matched more than the other popular ships. they seemed like they were made for eachother. we also had 0 crumbs for wrio's personality at that point so i assumed he'd be the serious to lyn's playful flirt.
shipping in this game to me has always been a bit on the shallower side, and thats fine! some of these characters never get to "grow" with dynamic character arcs really and remain "static" to have their profiles make sense when you pull for them. they can never be directly antagonistic to the player and have to be "redeemed" in some way. 76++ characters and not all of them get time in the spotlight, either. thats fine too.
that all changed when fontaine came out. and even more when 4.1 did.
wriothesley's personality was a joy. i love morally dubious and fun characters like him, the kinds that dont really fit into a "box" or trope!! genshin's good at making characters like that, just as they are good at the tropey ones. i also didnt mind that he canonically isnt above torturing, too. heck, i mean i love kamisato ayato who is basically what the game sets up as the male version of arlecchino + diluc burning an abyss mage and kazuha's tongue branding comment were one of my favorite moments. i thought wrio being cruel was very much in line for a prison warden. it made sense. what didn't make sense was the way the game needed to show this.
i loved lyney the moment i saw him in the travail trailer. his thing with his family another one of the best things to come out of genshin. fucked up orphans and found family who are villains? actually so good. but because they are what the game wants us to see as "unequivocable villains", they also get... disrespected in the story a lot?
the way i saw it, the game wanted us to see wrio as the "cool/badass hero!!!! wow your grace you're actually so kind for not killing them!!! see guys he just looks cruel and antagonistic but he's actually so morally good!!!also here's like 3 cutscenes of wrio looking cool ^_^" while lyney's treated like an "overemotional kid" really rubbed me off the wrong way. everything else was fine. i just got tired of the game insisting that the fatui are so bad no matter what and the rest are ""good"" when their whole thing in fontaine was doing away with the black and white morality. the devs seek to promote greyness but they cant even write that right?
what wrio did to them truly probably wasnt even the worst lyney and his siblings have been through, i know this for a fact. honestly wrio could have killed freminet and it'd have been like. reasonable for him. but he's a big softie who has a thing for lyney i think which is why he thought a lot about them not coming to physical harm.
but after once again accepting that midhoyo just wastes a lot of potential and reconciling the dynamic of past wrioney i had in mind (also uh. writing a fic of them for closure when i've never done anything of the sort before)... i realized theyre the best thing ever actually
enemies to lovers isnt always my cup of tea, but for context i shipped shuake before this so i feel like that primed me for this genshin ship in a way LMAO.. i actually must thank wrio for showing this new side of lyney, the viciously overprotective of his family side that i thought would never be shown, only alluded to. its mesmerizing.
and the thought that lyney, mr. masks and fake-smiles-that-dont-reach-his-eyes wouldnt bother to keep up pretenses with wriothesley anymore since he coaxed that darker side of him effortlessly? really nice.
even traveler who lyney notoriously charms and flirts with gets the mask immediately after the confrontation at the duke's office, the second lyney recharges with his siblings by his side. the beautiful thing about lyney's character is that he is always fake.
but with the duke? i wouldn't be so sure. maybe his real side, claws and bared teeth, comes to light with him and him only.
and that... goes back to the "character going through dynamic arcs" thing i mentioned in the beginning that genshin lacked. now i may be reaching for crumbs here, but i'm pretty sure this ship is the closest thing we'd get for lyney ever going through a character arc. wrio too. when i say they were "made for eachother" i think i realized that it's because they both have parallel backstories. i wont spoil too much for wrio's stories and voicelines, but it's safe to say wrio also has trouble with trusting others easily. something him and lyney can relate on lol. not to mention the orphan thing... ok i wont say more.
i love that their personalities clash so catastrophically. i love that i can never predict what genshin will do next with them. this all makes shipping them so fun. i have literally never had as much fun with shipping for this game since.... ever! really. as the game evolves, the character writing and by extension their interactions with eachother do too. and i'd say it's an improvement. i'm hopeful for the future :]

Arguing with you
How arguments with Childe, Kaeya, Diluc and Venti would go
Part 2 here
—————————
Childe:
This man will not take you seriously for a second “Aw! Someone’s feeling fiesty tonight, huh?” He’ll just cross his arms and grin up at you from his spot on the sofa, his gaze challenging you to continue your little display of anger
The more you yell, the more he smiles and laughs. He thinks it’s cute seeing you all worked up! He’ll make attempts to hold your hand or pull you into his lap but when you smack his hands away and insult him, his grin quickly turns into a frown
“What’s your problem? I’m just messing with you, no need to be so serious all the time” He’ll roll his eyes and put his boots up on the cushions- he knows you hate it “Come sit, fighting this way isn’t any fun at all” he’ll complain
As you grill him about his whereabouts or how dangerous his work is, Childe just can’t take it anymore. He’s so sick of your whining! He’ll let you know it too before stomping off, kicking the door shut behind him on his way out
He’ll wander around for awhile, thinking things through from your point of view... Hm... Yeah maybe you do have the right to be upset with him... How did he not realize...
Well, now he feels like a bit of a fool. He’ll pick up some flowers and groceries to bring home on his way back.
When he apologizes, he means it. No teasing or playful banter, he stands there and apologizes, giving you all the information you wanted in the first place
Kaeya:
When you two fight he has two moods. Understanding boyfriend and asshole. Kaeya is a smart man who loves you very much but when he’s being ‘nagged’, he can’t help but lose his temper with you
Fights about trivial things like finances or living situations won’t last long. He’ll reassure you that everything is fine and think if a few solutions off the top of his head “Yeah? I think that would work too. See? Everything will work out just fine, no need to worry. Have I ever let you down?” He peppers your cheeks with kisses and that’s the end of it
But when you start picking fights about his work schedule or him ‘dealing with the dark side’, he’s just impossible
“I think you should mind your own business. Don’t you have a little commission to do?” He huffs, pouring himself another glass of wine “Look, I don’t need you nagging me all the time. You do your work and I’ll do mine. Last time I checked, my job is the reason we have such a stable living situation. So maybe you should just be happy with that”
Ouch...Jeez man. No need to be so defensive. That’s exactly what he’s doing though, he’s defending himself in the typical way he always has. He has no problem sleeping now either, he’ll pack up and go to bed for the night, leaving you to marinate in your own frustration while he rests
However the next day at work, all he can think about is you. During his lunch break he’ll track you down to talk things out again “I’m still new to this...I didn’t mean to snap at you last night, love...I hope you can forgive me for my behavior”
Diluc:
Diluc is on edge constantly, only getting to truly relax with you. So when you start picking a fight with him, he’s instantly frustrated. He immediately seems guilty of whatever you’re accusing him of because of the way he reacts
“Why are you getting on my ass? I just walked in the door, honey” he sighs and rubs his face “You don’t even say hello to me or anything, you just go off about whatever you want. I don’t have time for this...” He’ll try to brush you off to avoid losing his temper.
With you, Diluc doesn’t usually have to worry about losing his temper but after a long day of winery business, investigating the abyss mage activity in the area, working late at the tavern...The last thing he needs is an argument right now
So when you follow him upstairs, continuing to raise your voice and challenge him, he’ll slam the bedroom door in your face, lock it and play the piano so he doesn’t have to hear your voice through the door
He’ll come out in an hour or so to apologize, he won’t be able to sleep knowing you’re upset with him. After the frustration he’s been carrying with him all day had resided, he’ll be more open to sitting and talking things through with you
Venti:
Venti isn’t a fan of conflict at all so if you’re trying to argue with him he’ll do his best to make a joke of it to make you laugh or something. Not in a malicious way though!
Anything to make you laugh and forget why you’re even mad at him to begin with!
When you raise your voice or curse at him he’ll huff and pout “Y’know, I don’t like when you talk to me that way. Just sit down and talk to me, I don’t want to yell! There’s no point in any of that”
The entire argument he’ll stay put, not making a move to leave. He’s not going anywhere until this issue is resolved in a civil manner but if you want to leave, you’re more than welcome to.
If you yell at him to get out or say hurtful things, he’ll just want to stay there even more. Again, he hates conflict so his goal is to talk it out with you, not escalate the argument!
Once you calm down a bit, he’ll pull you into a hug “There...That’s better, isn’t it? I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you... I love you” He’ll sway you side to side, humming a soft tune “See? There’s no need to yell, you have my attention. You always do”

—xXxXxXxXxXx—
You had some worries about Kaeya, dubbed “The Handsome Mr. Kaeya” by Paimon.
There was no doubt that he was attractive, his ever present smirk and exposed chest was enough to signify to anyone that even Kaeya was well aware of his looks. But he tended to wield his words like a double edged sword - using his words for an express purpose.
It was admirable, in a way. He was the loyal Cavalry Captain who looked out for Mondstadt’s best interest. And while he had misled you on this pirate treasure adventure, there was no harm really done. In fact, from the way he prattled about haircuts and eyepatches inherited from his parents, you were already sure that it was simply a tale being spun for Paimon to latch onto.
At the end of the day, Kaeya still compensated you for your time and provided you with a higher-level weapon. The criminals were caught and the Knights were credited for another arrest of an infamous Treasure Hunter. It was a win-win situation that you very quickly put behind you as another job done.
The entire quest had not really bothered you - it was not like you had not withheld anything either. You ran from clue to clue without updating Kaeya on your progress, with the express intent of snagging some of this treasure yourself.
It was a really smart move on his part and, for whatever reason, it had the inverse effect on you - it made you want to get closer to Kaeya.
Paimon grumbled for all of a day before she prattled onto something new, complaining about the returning ruin guard by the temple or the way Venti sassed her. But you often found yourself hanging around Good Hunter or  Angel’s Share, wondering if you would be able to run into him again.
It was no surprise that Kaeya was always busy, Jean had mentioned before that Kaeya was the one who often wrapped up every physical incident that occurred in both the city and outer plains of Mondstadt.
And so it was easy to lose track of him, the image of Kaeya still present in your mind, just pushed back in the further recess as you continued in your struggle to find clues about your brother. When whispers on the street spoke of a Dark Knight hero, you were pleasantly surprised to see Diluc patrolling the streets from the shadows.
The last thing you had expected was to team-up with the very man who ran opposite to the Knights, but you learned how oddly sweet Diluc was in that short amount of time. His double life of fighting off the abyss army single-handedly to running the largest Winery on the continent - Diluc’s workload was no easy feat.
You were just out of the clear, Huffman gone to deal with the slimes when a resounding clap started from the dining area of the bar. Kaeya stood and approached you both, you turned to Diluc and he had the flattest, most unimpressed expression on.
You stood mostly silent in that conversation, Diluc with his arms and chin held high. Kaeya had reassured him that the secret was best kept that way, eyes glinting mischievously as they went from the winery owner to you.
You only stared right back, as if Kaeya’s face would give off exactly what he was looking for. Instead, he simply smiled at the both of you and left when Diluc said he was closing the bar. Diluc thanked you for your assistance, reassuring you that in case you need help, he was a willing hand.
When you walked out the bar then, Kaeya was still right outside, chatting casually with some of the late bar-goers that sat at the picnic table. Just as he made eye-contact with you, he bid himself goodbye from the group and fell into step with you.
“Paimon doesn’t trust blue-haired, eye-patched men anymore.” She started next to you.
“That’s good I’m a blue-haired, eye-patched handsome young man.” Kaeya shot back, to which she rolled her eyes. He then turned to you with the same open smirk as usual, “And here I was thinking I could make you my assistant.”
Was he flirting with you?
It took you a second to question this internally before Paimon scoffed, “Ugh, I’m going ahead to the inn. I don’t think I can stand watching you make kissy-faces at each other after the day we had.”
You waved a hand in her direction to smack her, but she was already flying away up and out of reach.
Turning back to the Captain, you were surprised to see that Kaeya was still looking at you, not even toward Paimon as she fled into the night.
Remembering his last statement, you shot back, “Think you could handle me?”
“Confidence, it looks very good on you.” Kaeya replied as his smile widened. He took a single step closer, lowering his voice next to your ear and continuing. “But the real question is if you have any idea what you’re getting yourself into?”
You stood your ground, ignoring the shiver that ran up your spine, “I always like to try new things.”
“I look forward to it.” Kaeya straightened, lightly grabbing your hand in one of his own and raising it to his lips. “Until then, traveler.”
To think that such a simple action, hardly anything scandalous, had lingered on your skin the entire night. You remembered the way his lips felt against your hand, how striking his blue eyes bore into your own. Kaeya was extremely dangerous, able to catch your attention and keep it for hours on end.
The next day you had a commission about dismantling a rising Hilichurl camp, a perfect distraction away from the eye-patched hunk that kept plaguing your thoughts. The last thing you expected was for Kaeya to see you.
“Looks like our honorary knight continues their do-good streak.”
“It’s the least I can do.” You replied back, a sassy hand on your waist.
“Why don’t I accompany you?”
You wanted to scream.
Paimon actually did groan before stating she was going to stay in the city.
And suddenly, your distraction was running exactly opposite to your intention. With Kaeya joining your party, the Cavalry Captain was making himself decidedly known you.
He led you around a cliff, showing you a higher area where you could survey the camp before bursting in guns blazing. There were six Hilichurls, some slimes scattered about and two towers already set-up in this enemy campsite.
You decided to stick together, coming in from the high ground and slamming your weapon into the ground at unsuspecting enemies. It felt nice to fight alongside someone again, oftentimes you were alone in your adventures. Paimon would yell words of encouragement, but never would she actually lift a finger to fight. But Kaeya was reliable, freezing enemies into place and shattering them where they stood.
Taking down some of the outer-rim electro Hilichurls equipped with bows, you were nearly finished with clearing the entire camp. You grabbed the pyro slimes and exploded them near the towers, taking down the camp with them. With the camp almost completely disassembled, you heard the tell-tale electronic power-up that only signified one enemy.
A ruin guard.
Hunched over, you watched as multiple missiles took aim on the nearby unsuspecting Cavalry Captain. Running the best you could, you threw decorum out the window as you all but tackled the poor man out of harm's way.
Rolling a few times, there was no surprised yelp from the man beneath you. He simply allowed you to take the wheel until you came to a stop, hovering over his body. Kaeya was undoubtedly taller than you, but you were face-to-face as he smirked beneath you.
“Wow, not that I’m against this.” Kaeya started, a quip ready. “But ask me out to dinner first.”
You flushed and stood up immediately, “I was saving you!”
“I’ll let you save me any day of the week.” Kaeya replied, earning a half-assed scowl on your behalf. He only laughed at you, calling your attempted look of intimidation only served to make a cute pout instead.
You huffed and considered leaving him with the ruin guard.
From then on there was no doubt about it - Kaeya was flirting with you.
And you were openly flirting back, if of course he decided a less obnoxious moment. In between commissions and nights at Angel’s Share, Kaeya flirtations were growing more and more brazen. It was one thing to kiss the top of your hand in greeting and another entirely for Kaeya to throw his hand across your hair, leaning in to openly bury his nose in your hair.
Diluc called you both disgusting.
Tonight, you entered Cat Tail’s semi-inconspicuously to get a drink. Paimon had long caught onto your game, saying that she surprisingly approved of Kaeya, since after all he was still a good guy in some ways.
But, she still was not exactly a fan of you too making “kissy-faces” at each other, her words. And so tonight you were flying solo, Paimon opting to annoy Amber instead tonight as they tracked down some abyss mage or other.
You tried your best to hang around the bar, looking around the tavern to see if the object of your desire was anywhere around. You meandered for a few minutes, saying greetings to other bargoers that had recognized you, before approaching the bartender if Kaeya has been around
The bartender recognized you immediately. It was hard not to place one of the few new people in Mondstadt, especially one that was crushing much of the country's enemies. Diona had mentioned before that you were a friend of Diluc’s, often more than just a customer at the rival tavern. No, you were seen running around the city with the red-head at random times.
She said the worst thing you could have ever suspected.
“I think Kaeya has a hot date tonight.”
You felt a lump in your throat form, but tried to keep your response guarded. “Oh?”
The bartender continued, “Yeah, I’m not sure if it was Paula? Or Maggie tonight? But you know the captain - always changing up his escapades.”
“Right, of course.” You replied back, words coming out before you could even register it. Instead, you kept on nursing your drink, spiteful words from the bartender marinating in your mind.
Kaeya was mysterious, yes. But was he leading you on?
… Was it right of you to trust him?
The first red flag should have been the fact that you knew nearly nothing about him personally. To think that you had spent all this time together talking and fighting alongside one another, but you could not even recall basic facts about him, let alone anything deep. You were unaware of his family history - Diluc was his brother, but it was the red-head who ended up confiding that fact to you.
Kaeya was so charming that you hadn’t even noticed he shut you out of his world.
And so there was no point in actively keeping a one-sided friendship like that. From then forth, you resolved to avoid the Cavalry Captain for the time being. You knew you had to free Dvalin together, but that did not mean you had to swoon for him in your free time.
It was almost expected of you to join him on Friday nights at Angel’s Share, but tonight you were missing. Neither Charles nor Diluc had seen you the entire day. There were probably a hundred different things you were doing - gathering resources, fighting slimes - and so Kaeya thought little of it.
But he was still disappointed not to see your face that night.
And so he thought nothing was wrong the next day when he saw you in the city square, talking to someone at the general store. He approached you and offered to join your party again, take down some enemies somewhere out in the country.
You didn’t even smile at him.
Not this time.
Just a curt no before you were leaving out the city gates.
The second time Kaeya already had enough and confronted you before you could even attempt to walk away.
He grabbed at your elbow, “Have you finally grown tired of me?”
You pulled it back, no real strength behind it as Kaeya still held you under his grip. “Kaeya, why is it that you keep reaching out to me? I have nothing of my own to offer - no money, no family - there is nothing left I can give you.”
He frowned in response but grabbed at your other hand, “I haven’t asked you for anything, have I?”
You looked away, “You don’t have to! It’s inherent, after all. Isn’t that why you asked me to team-up in the first place, to use me to find your criminals?”
Kaeya mentally recoiled, “Woah, back up. I may have guided you regarding the treasure but never have I maliciously led you on.”
You pulled at your hands to no avail, this time the captain actively trying to keep your attention on him.
“I just! I thought I meant something more to you, Kaeya.”
He smiled and tried to pull you into his chest, but you shoved off his touch this time fully.
“No! You can’t just hug me and think everything is okay. You’re supposed to be one of the good guys, one of the handful of people I can trust in Mondstadt and I know nothing about you.”
Kaeya did not reach for your hands, instead moving to stand in front of you. “I’m sorry that I hold my secrets close to my chest, but that’s what I’m used to.”
Frustrated, you replied. “Don’t you get tired? Holding the people that love you at an arm's length?”
“I’m sorry.” He repeated, this time reaching for you. “I’m sorry that I made you feel like you weren’t special. Trust me, you’re the only one I’ve had eyes on ever since you landed here in Mondstadt.”
You shook your head, “But the bartender, she said -”
“Who cares what she said?” Kaeya interrupted, “They know village gossip, but they don’t know me or you.”
“I don’t really know you.” You replied.
Kaeya caressed the side of your cheek before lightly gently grabbing your hand again, “Then let’s start.”
With a hesitant smile, you closed your eyes and nodded.
“Okay.”
You had your doubts then and it’s not like an issue of trust was fixed overnight. But, to his credit, Kaeya tried as best he could. Instead of meeting randomly at the bar, he would approach you sometime during the day and set-up a date. How he knew where you were was a mystery, but a man with that many connections surely had a way.
He had no qualms about holding your hand or openly kissing your cheek in the presence of others - proclaiming loudly to one and all in Mondstadt that you were his and he was yours.
Taking your first argument to heart, Kaeya was very keen on communication. Anything you were unsure of, he expressed that he was by no means rushing you. And when you finally shared your first kiss, for once not a single soul in front of the Lord Barbatos statue, you leaned into his touch to get many more.
Kaeya made good on his promise, slowly letting you into his world in kind. You remembered one night as the both of you sat on the edge of Mondstadt, nothing but ocean for miles in front of you. You had your head on his shoulder, describing your adventures with your brother and how you missed having family.
Kaeya had a gentle hand in your hair, rubbing soothing circles as you recalled a time long ago. Once your story finished, you two continued to stare out, wondering what the future could hold as your minds swam in an endless sea of thoughts.
He broke the silence.
“I miss my brother also.”
Diluc was not always his estranged brother, but once a friend, supporter, and sounding board. Some even mistook them as truly twins in heart and mind, defending Mondstadt and having each other’s backs for years. The Diluc you had come to know was a shell of his old self, close friends and past hidden behind years of repressed feelings.
There was no doubt wistfulness in Kaeya’s eyes as he recalled the past to you, but you continued to listen quietly.
Your relationship with the Cavalry Captain was hardly easy. Often responsibilities called you both - Kaeya was highly stationed in Mondstadt while you still had seven other countries to visit. But that did not mean the end for you both. Even when you were thousands of miles away or sat atop the highest mountain without a clue to where he was, you cherished the thought that you still shared the same sky with the love of your life.
No matter where you were in Teyvat, you had Kaeya to return to.

Stardew Impact [Genshin+Stardew Valley/xReader]
Part 1/3 Kaeya, Diluc
Tumblr media
Synopsis: “A mysterious phenomenon brought you and your s/o to an unfamiliar world: Pelican Town! Without the power of Visions, the two of you begin to learn the life of what it takes to be...a farmer?”
(DOMESTIC FARM LIFE YIP YIP)
Coming soon...
Albedo and Childe
Zhongli and Xiao
(A/N): So the brainrot was real in this one. I planned to add Albedo for a Mondstadt edition but kinda went overboard so I gotta split this one into parts too. Wordcount_almost 2k spspspsp
______________________________________________________
Diluc
• Already has the whole year planned in his head. Literally if Diluc were to play this game, he'd have a booming farm within year ONE. Calm and collected through and through, though the new environment raises alot of questions, as long as you were still with him, Diluc ain't complaining
• The town welcomes you two with open arms. It was all thanks to the attire. Diluc wore his usual dark coat adorned with regal gold while you had a dress made of Liyue's finest silk, one that he bought for you. Needless to stay both of you reeked the aura of rich aristocrats (Mayor Lewis is pleased that greedy bastard)
• Once the farm was permitted to your owndership, Diluc began to think of ways to turn it into a vineyard. He was a businessman afterall. Although the staff back at the Dawn Winery were the ones who tended the field, Diluc still knew a few things about planting due to his childhood days Master Crepus would bring him out to their yard and demonstrated the process of gardening. He still remembers those days clearly, doing the very same this moment with you.
• Occasionally works at the Saloon bar. It was the perfect opportunity. As you took care of the farm side, Diluc continues to look for more ways to increase the income while gathering information from the folks around town. Gus LOVES to have him over, like he's just so efficient and reliable! They soon become good friends saying if Diluc were ever to own a wine stock, he would gladly buy from him.
• This is why Diluc would stay a little later due to just chatting with the people from the bar. One time you walked into the Saloon only to the front desk with Emily alone. Turns out the others were in the other room, too busy playing a game of pool. You decided to leave him be since it was rare to have Diluc so relaxed in leisure activities. Thus in the end, you spent your time chatting with Emily until a whole hour has passed before your lover notices and apologizes for losing track of time.
• Everything felt like a dream because it was his dream. To live a life undisturbed from chaos, his duties and the dangers that lurk in Teyvat, Diluc grew fond of the domesticity. There was nothing he loved more than to spend his hours by your side, day after day, returning home to your freshly handmade meals.
• Spring: Already up and early planting the parnersnips (I'm very soft for gardener Diluc you see). What do you expect from a workaholic? Even during his leisure time you would often find him near some plant as he does consider this hobby quite therapeutic. But when it rains, Diluc would be standing beside you with an arm around your shoulder, smiling contently as you lean into his touch. He gazes through the dripping window and silently admires the current progress you both made on the farm.
• Between the two annual spring festivities, I would say the flower dance. Diluc is a private man and would prefer to take things where no eyes were on sight. But with a little bit of nudging from Gus (your wingman), he gives in and leads you to the center stage. Elegant. Graceful. The way you two moved together became the talk of the event. Though, Diluc was already used to people staring by now, all he needed to do was to ignore them and keep his focus on you.
• Summer: No blankets in bed. Nope, its bloody hot in Pelican Town. He tends to stay indoors or anywhere with shade, in other words, his work hours in the Saloon increased.
• Diluc always has a nice cold drink prepared for you if by any chance you were to pay a visit after a whole day of labour. It's a habit he's made subconciously as if it would be a natural occurance for you to enter the door. His colleagues would ask him who did he make that drink for? Honestly so cute i cri
• Moments like these remind him of Mondstadt, where he quietly wipes the glasses while listening to you talk. Your voice is soothing. Sun rays peek from the side casting onto the umber tables, reflecting a rich golden light as the radio plays a soft song in the background. It's so peaceful, the town was small hence not many people visited the bar, Diluc came to appreciate this warm privacy (plus no Venti and Kaeya which is a huge pog realization).
• Autumn: Harvest time baby. The kegs are full and the sheds are full of kegs. This season was huge stonks and the house ended up getting an upgrade. Diluc is the type of man who wants to make sure that his spouse wouldn't have to work another day of her life. I reckon this is why he's so ambitious because he wants you to have the best and you deserve the best. (Husband material. Slap a ring on him ladies).
When there was no more work left to do, time would be spend peacefully exploring the woods. While you skipped a few steps ahead as the leaves crunched beneath your feets, Diluc follows slowly from behind. He sees your back but his eyes stares somewhere far beyond whats in front of him: His future.
It was such a stark contrast to the one he envisioned before. One filled with uncertaintly, blocked by darkness with no silver lining in sight, endlessly wandering as he drags the claymore against the ground. There was never a day in which the Darknight hero wouldn't think of Mondstadt. Leaving the city in the incompetent hands of Ordo Favonious while Abyss Mages continue to lurk fuels him to find a way to return as soon as possible and yet...
"Higher big sis!" Jas tightens her hold on the ropes as you pushed the swing with all your might. She laughs, like a child, it was full of innocence and joy. Later Vincent came in and nugdes you, asking when his turn will come.
"You wanna go too? Alright alright don't worry," waiting for Jas to come down, you lift the boy up so that he was seated safely on the chair, "3..2..1 go!"
He wonders if he could just be a little selfish for once.
• Winter: Best man to have in this season. Every morning Diluc would find himself restricted in movements due to a pair of arms around his waist and legs entangled with yours. Turns out you've been doing it subconciously because he's just so warm (Diluc keeps it lowkey and pretends to sleep longer cuz of it)
~~xx~~
Kaeya
• Haha looks like the portal is gone, guess we'll be stuck forever :)). No kidding Kaeya would be so down to stay here for the rest of his life and the best part is to spend it with you. He doesn't show a shred of concern regarding Teyvat, not like he's easily shaken by events that are abnormal, but you can see that Kaeya is truly and genuinely happy. (You're stunned).
• Oho we also have this marvelous landscape just for the two of us? And a cozy little cabin to go along with it as well? This should be fun~
• Of course Kaeya would also know a few things about planting, just the basics since he did grow up with Diluc. When they were kids, Crepus would give each of them their own pots so they can grow their own plants. It eventually became a competitive thing where whoever's plant grows the fastest gets to eat the other person's dessert for a year (no one wins. They end up sabotaging each other which Diluc started first, thinking it'll be funny as a joke).
• You are, and will be going on dates with him. In fact, the amount of dates you two went on increased since then. The townspeople would call you two "lovebirds" since he's practically by your side 24/7.
• I mean he doesn't have the responsibilities as a Cavalry Captain anymore so what else is there to do?
• Would attend all annual events no matter what season.
• Evelyn constantly gushes how much of a wonderful pair you and Kaeya make and often is the one who provides Kaeya a fresh bouqet of flowers for him to use as a gift. George on the otherhand just rolled his eyes mumbling something along the lines of "youngsters these days" and "crazy hormones."
• Befriends Pam. Love for beer plus somewhat cynical attitude? They get along real swell! She starts sending some recipes into the mailbox of course saying if yall ever need a hand, let her know.
• Spring: I can see Kaeya be switching back and forth between caring for the farm or taking quests posted on Pierre's bulletin board. He likes to keep things interesting, learning the ways of the new world while also getting to know the people around town.
• Would NOT return Mayor Lewis' shorts in which he found in Marnie's room. It's such high quality blackmail material. Kaeya is currently plotting what is the best way to use it to his advantage.
• He didn't tell you of course.
• Summer: There are no blankets because he is your blanket. Since your cabin was small so was the bed. That's why he has to hold you so that no one falls off when rolling over. Either he hugs you with your nose close to his neck, or your back against his chest while spooning you or holding hands if sleeping on your sides became too much. Yall need a serious house upgrade.
• For some reason Kaeya becomes more energetic in the summer. He lets you rest in the shade while handling the farm work for the time being. If you guys got a pet it would be a cat. Hes the first one to refill their bowl every morning outside.
Another day passes as summer comes to an end, the town’s Mayor invited you and your lover to see the annual Dance Of the Moonlight Jellies. Kaeya being the opportunist was delighted to come along. Locking the door of your house, you follow him down the path and made your way to the beach.
Everyone from town was already gathered by the docks when the sun had disappeared down the horizon. You stood by his side in a space far from the others, watching  the candle boats set off to ride the waves, lighting up a small ray of light for creatures to find.
“Wow,” your tone almost above a whisper, “If only our friends back home could see this too.”
“Perhaps,” he says. Kaeya slips his fingers into yours and you shot him a curious glance, “But let us enjoy this moment shall we? Just the two of us.”
And there they were. A sea of luminescence radiating colours of brilliant blue with hints of green like a city of laterns floating in a world below. Their image reflects in the star of Kaeya's eyes as he wonders, where would they go? Where would the light lead them? They were so free with nothing to worry, so serene just like the sea and unknowningly, he squeezes your hand. It was a sense for confirmation. One to remind him that this moment was indeed a reality he wishes to keep.
Autumn: Finally a house upgrade and a kitchen!! Because it was harvest season, you guys end up making a set of delicious meals with all the recipes the townspeople gave you. Kaeya can cook since he lived by himself back in Mondstadt. Most of the stuff he learned to make were food that can be accompanied by alcohol though...
• Ahah remember Mayor Lewis' lucky shorts? He found a use for them. It was displayed on the stands during the Stardew Valley Fair (Oh my how did this get here? Must be the wind). Ends up buying a Rarecrow for the farm when Lewis bribes him not to tell this to anyone.
Winter: This was mostly an indoor season for the both of you. With the existence of television, nights would be spent until morning while watching movies at the couch. A blanket drapes around your shoulders as extends to his.  Oh and don't forget the hot chocolate!

hello!! i saw ur post abt requests being open and i wanted to ask for a one-shot/headcanons of what it would be like to be diluc’s “partner in crime”, basically going out to fight the abyss and the fatui agents together and yk dark knight hero stuff in general; how they would work with each other and how they would both get each other’s backs etc… reader can be gender neutral and have the vision of your choice! thank you in advance :)))
ps if this is too cringe for u just ignore it jfhshdhd
nothing is cringe anymore anon, embrace the cringe. also this request is cute as HELL so dwdw
i made reader an electro catalyst user! that way y’all do the Big Damage. also unrelated but popped into my head as i read the ask but do you think diluc hates the abyss order so much in part because of kaeya? i’m just *thinks about their backstory very hard*
...
Format: headcanons Characters: Diluc Pronouns used: none Type: fluff Warnings: violence and danger, swearing
Tumblr media
DILUC
- originally is opposed to you helping him, only because it’s an extremely dangerous job and he can’t run the risk of losing you
- that being said, he knows you can hold your own, and when he comes back a few too many times being much too tired for his own good, he relents and allows you to start helping
- is actually pleasantly surprised by how much more FUN it is... before he did it just to get rid of the abyss order and protect mondstadt, but now going out with you and beating the shit out of abyss mages and hilichurls is legitimately fun
- sometimes you guys make bets. for example: whoever takes out an abyss mage first makes dinner the next night, whoever racks up the most kills owes the other ten kisses, etc
- also thinks you’re hot as FUCK as he watches you cut through monsters. you’re shooting LIGHTNING out of your FINGERTIPS and the look on your face is stunning. moving on
- speaking of the lightning, he loves loves loves causing overload damage. it’s a team effort! he sets something on fire and you electrocute it all the way to hell. iconic
- power couple tbh
- don’t be fooled though, he’s also extremely protective. if you’ve got your guard down even for a second the abyss order will take advantage of it. when he sees something approach you from behind as you send a mitachurl to its doom, he’s there in seconds with his claymore covered in flames
- picture now something out of a superhero movie where something explodes in the background and the two main characters kiss as the flames engulf them from behind. yeah this is you guys
- i may be getting a little too excited about this prompt,,, but listen there’s so much potential,,
- if you get injured in battle it’s ON SIGHT. anything he sees that isn’t human in front of him is scorched, chopped, and now dead. *liyue merchant voice* CHOP SUEY!
- he’ll take care of you as soon as he’s done. first, it’s time for RETRIBUTION
- really really really likes bandaging any injuries you might get and loves when you do it for him too. for him it’s a sign of trust and intimacy. you’re a pair, a team, and also hopelessly in love with each other
- when he’s had a particularly rough day he likes to take it out on any abyss order camps that might be nearby. he’ll drag you away from whatever it is you’re doing and bring you with him for backup just in case
- also adding in that you two LITERALLY fight back to back. diluc says it’s the most advantageous position and in addition to that it’s really fun.
- you’ve both saved each other from countless close calls
- and actually, sometimes, when the battle is won, you’ll walk back to dawn winery laughing, high off of victory and leftover adrenaline
- it’s one of the only times you see diluc really, truly smile - and it’s beautiful. it’s broad and genuine and you can see the stars reflecting off his eyes
- 10/10 couples bonding activity

XIAO ( genshin impact ) - #1: once upon a dream

a/n: omg my writing never had interactions this fast thanks yall <3 also sorry if this one is sucky, beginnings are always awkward

Tumblr media
I was used to having bad dreams at this point. I became quite numb, one might say. And yet... That didn't stop me from avoiding going to sleep. Staying awake would mean staying away from those dreams, after all. If only my body would know that as well.
And so, for the thirty first night in a row, I would let my eyes shift across the dark room my bedroom was, tricking my mind into thinking what was and wasn't there. Hugging my pillow tightly to my chest, I sneaked a few glances out the window. I didn't dare shut the blinds, for I would truly go mad.
In these cold, sleepless nights, the moon would shine so bright.
I could feel myself smile as my gaze shifted towards the vase of glaze lilies meticulously placed next to the window. The flowers were in full bloom, moonlight falling gently on each pale blue petal.
I've never thought of the moon as anything special. It was just there, a big white yellowish dot, lighting the night sky. But as my fear of going to sleep grew, so has my admiration for the little moon. It kept me and my flowers company and, although not ideal at the moment, lulled me to sleep as I felt at peace.
For some god forsaken reason, I could never remember what I was dreaming. I have tried every method prescribed, yet I still wasn't aware of what was plaguing my sleep. All I know and feel is fear. I just know they are so dark, but nothing else other than that. As my mind wondered for the thirty first time why was I having these sleepless nights, I let myself wonder too much and fell asleep. I wasn't even aware of it.
The next thing I knew, I was outside, laying down on the grass, the smell of glaze lilies invading my nostrils. After a quick glance, I closed my eyes, wanting to enjoy the calm before the storm that was about to come. With the cold early spring breeze biting at my exposed skin, I basked in the moonlight, quietly sighing to myself.
As if my body was on autopilot, my eyes opened, letting me see the meadow I was sitting in. Soon, my legs started moving on their own, leading me down the meadow. Slowly, as I made my way towards nowhere in particular, I picked one or two lilies, my bouquet growing pretty large by the time I reached my destination.
And what a destination.
The more I looked, the bigger the shivers travelling down my spine grew. Surrounding me were dozens of fallen enemies: all sorts of hilichurls and even a few abyss mages. There was no blood nor spilled guts, but the black surrounding them, the aura emanating off of them... It was enough to make me tremble. I felt so raw and exposed, as if I was a deer in headlights, as if something — the dark — was coming for me, coming to hurt me.
Even though my brain was screaming at my legs to move, I couldn't take a single step. My feet were glued to the ground and my heart was drumming in my chest so hard I could feel it in my ears. Hesitantly, I took a look around, searching for the beast that could do such a thing.
The moment I found it my knees finally gave out. A good few feet away from me, was him? They? It?
Their face was covered in an intricate black mask, highlighted by a dim glowing green. Its dark horns were sparkling inconspicuously in the twilight and made it so they had no feeling of mankind. Yet again darkness was pooling at their feet, although they didn't seem to care. An intriguing mint green tattoo, resembling a strange marking, traversed down their right arm. Covering their body were several colourful materials, their uniqueness incidentally diverting me from the gigantic dread I was feeling. In one of their hands, a jade lance stood. Its magnificence would had been really outstanding, if not for the slaughter it had caused and the returning dark emanation around it.
Although I was going unnoticed, that didn't stop my breath from hitching. It was as if I was being choked. A sigh pulled me out of my terrified thoughts. It was them. And they were looking right at me.
Or at least, in my direction.
Even though their face was still covered by the monstrous mask, a feeling of acrid and convincing torment could be observed. And for some unknown reason, it hit me hard. All I wanted to do was to curl up in a ball and wait for someone to save me.
But no one would, no one was there.
As they turned around, a gloved hand gently brushed past their face, an extravagant way of taking off their mask, giving me a very small window of opportunity to catch a glance at their face. It was useless, my vision was too blurry to see clearly. As I struggled to stand up, I could finally see them leaving, going in the direction of... The Wangshu Inn?
"Curiosity will kill the cat," I murmured, dropping the lilies I was still holding onto.
Despite being mortified beyond relief and barely able to walk, I followed them. Why? I don't know! Call me stupid or crazy, I have done so myself quite a few times by now, but I felt the need to follow them. I was too scared to be alone, and they... They seemed to know what was in the dark, they seemed to know what the darkness itself actually was.
The way to the Wangshu Inn was oddly quiet. They were so silent I thought I lost them quite a few times. They were blending so easily with the forest and its surroundings, it was as if I was following a trace rather than an actual being. Soon, I was climbing towards the upper level of the inn, wanting to take as much precaution as I possibly could.
Although following them in the first place wasn't the most judicious thing to do.
As I reached the upper entrance, they were nowhere to be found. Just like the stories said, the view from the top of the inn was jaw-dropping. The breeze felt colder, yet my skin felt warmer. The feeling of serenity overtook my senses, almost wanting to stop my pursue. Almost. The more I looked across the balcony, the more said serene feeling became overwritten by the realisation of how alone I was. Detached from the world below me, surrounded by the high and mighty mountains at the dead of the night. The next thing I knew, tremors were crawling down my whole body, reaching the end of my fingertips.
I was alone. Alone in the dark.
Soon enough, I was back to searching for the peculiar stranger, ascending the stairs leading to the mysterious tower of the inn. I stood at the edge of the entrance, my eyes glued to the one table situated in front of me.
Even with their back turned towards me, their presence was enough to comfort me and forget about my newfound irrational fear. This time, there was no darkness. This time, I wasn't scared. Perhaps it was the scenery, perhaps I was projecting my own emotions, but instead I became overwhelmed by a melancholic warmth so strong I felt almost suffocated. The wind blew so gently, so delicate in comparison to the amalgam of  emotions I became consumed by. This person... was sad. Really sad. Sad to the point where they exuded such intense sorrow without even trying.
Gingerly, I tried approaching them, I tried looking at them. Yet again a sigh escaped their lips as they turned their head.
This time, he was looking at me. And so, I was pulled into a staring contest. I didn't even dare blink, for I was utterly spellbound. His eyes, a vehement amber, stared deeply into mine, as if they were looking at my very soul. His features were soft but defined in such a way it fit him perfectly. His skin was pale, complimented nicely by the moonlight. At his right hip stood the mask from our previous encounter. With his body turned, I could catch a glimpse of what was on his table. On it, a single plate stood. From what I could tell, he was eating a dessert of some sort. It strangely reminded me of cake.
"I think I've entertained you for long enough, mortal," his voice was reposeful but forbearing, addressing me, apparently a mere mortal, with superiority.
Before I could reply, the world before me shifted, now finding myself  in my bedroom, sitting up straight in my bed. I looked around my room. Everything seemed frighteningly normal. Immediately, I pinched myself as hard as I could. I soon realised this was reality. Everything that happened was a dream.
A dream I, yet again, couldn't remember clearly. All I could recall were a few things: a lonesome stranger, the Wanshu Inn and lemon cake. Were all of my dreams this? No, they couldn't be. This time, there was no screaming, no shaking, no crying. Was it over? Were those nightmares finally gone? I couldn't believe it. I had to find out what happened in my dream and who appeared in it.
And to do that, I needed to head out to the spot where it took place. The Wangshu Inn.

Spritefather and Selene Interaction
A fan drabble for @clouds-rambles, I hope I characterized Selene right
Without much prompting it's a tad hard to write like this, but I hope it works.
Also I hope you don't mind me mentioning Cael amnesia anon.
(Selene was hanging out with Cael when Venti makes trouble, bringing the night to a close)
(Selene pov)
Yet again, I had to drag Cael's boyfriend out of the bar. This time because he thought someone was insulting his father and punched them, but he was just talking about some mythological person called 'Spritefather'.
I haven't thought about that story in a long time, not since I was a kid. Something about him being able to "use all elements" or something and how he "taught Barbados about freedom", maybe I'll ask Lisa about it.
"Excuse me madam, my father needs to speak to that man you're carrying. Please, hand him to me." I heard a voice from behind me say, the accent was a thick Schneznayan one.
I turned around to meet the person, a woman in an outfit that wouldn't look out of place in a family portrait of old Schneznayan nobility, they also held a vision.
A cryo vision.
I three Venti into a hay pile and summoned my spear, "your a pretty bad liar, LA SIGNORA!"
"No wait! You've got it all w-" I jabbed at her with my spear, using conduct to increase it's power, "I said wait!-"
"I don't bargain with people who hurt my friends!" Hehe, that was a cool line, nice one Selene.
"W-WHAT!? HOW DARE YOU INSINUATE THAT I WOULD HURT MY OWN BROTHER!" The woman gasped and pointed behind me.
I looked back and saw an abyss mage sneaking away with Venti.
"HEY! THAT'S MY BROTHER/BEST FRIEND'S BOYFRIEND!"
The mage noticed and bolted away. We chased it all the way to star conch cliff, where it threw Venti over the edge.
"Haha! Do your worst human! I have already completed my mission! Now without your precious archon, mondstadt will-!"
A tornado of water sprouted up from the sea, then froze in place. From the newly formed spiral of ice rose a cloaked man, and around him were 6 wisps of every element but cryo.
The mage turned around, and were it not for the dendro tendril crushing it's windpipe they would have screamed in horror.
"First you threaten to kill my son," the cloaked man stepped off the spire, the air polarizing itself with electro to form a step, "then you kidnap him while my daughter is trying to retrieve him," another step, this time the air simply pushes him up to form a step, "and now you have followed through on that threat. It tried to," the man took one last, powerful step, to which a geo platform met his feet and lifted him to the hanging abyss mage, "how truly foolish must you be."
He man then lit the tendril on fire, burning the mage like a furby in a campfire.
The man lowered himself down, Venti in his arms, and said, "I'm sorry Barbados, I should have gone to get you myself. Viktoria, what happened?"
Then he noticed me.
"EEEEP!" He shouted as he dropped Venti with a thud.

(3rd person limited, Spritefather pov)
'Oh celestia, a person! No no, keep it together. You love interacting with humans in a controlled manner. This is just as controlled, just...a suprise.' Spritefather thought.
"By Barbados' hairy nostrils! You're the Spritefather!" The human Selene shouted.
Spritefather straightened himself out and cleared his throat, "y-yes, I am. But I am not 'the' Spritefather, I'm just Spritefather. Saying 'the Spritefather' is like calling you 'the Selene'. But now isn't the time for such trivial bickerings," Spritefather gave a gentlemanly bow, "thank you for attempting to rescue my eldest child, and for taking him home everytime he indulges a bit to much on vices."
Viktoria facepalmed, "dad! They aren't supposed to know that!"
"Well why not? They're friends with him, and best friends with his boyfriend. Which by the way I STILL need to meet-" he noticed Selene was seeming kind if pale, "you ok?"
*thud*
"Oh dear."
_____________________
(3rd person omniscient pov)
(There's no good point to explain this, but they're in a serenitea pot)
Selene woke up in a very confused state, and on a cloaked woman's lap.
"Please do not be alarmed, neither me nor my daughter did anything to you." The woman said.
Selene, in response, punched the woman and scrambled away, "who the abyss are you!?"
"Well I'm not particularly loved by celestia but I'd hardly say I'm abyssal.."
"Father, people here are not as accustomed to the divine as Liyue or Inazuma." The woman from before, who Selene thought was La Signora, said as she approached them with some tea.
"Wait, fa-no, no. Don't do that Selene, it's rude."
The cloaked woman shook her hands to dismiss Selene's concern, "it's fine, however I thank you for your accepting nature. Though it is to be excepted given your personal identity."
"How do you know me?"
"Heh, have you forgotten already? Though I suppose the change in form is not common among you humans. And nonexistent in the way me and the wisps can do."
The woman got up and started twirling, then surrounded themself in elemental power, and when it cleared stood the cloaked man Selene saw in her dream...
*wait*
"That wasn't a dream...holy shit that wasn't a dream! You're the Spritefather-I mean-you're Spritefather! Your real!"
"Indeed I am. I would think everyone in mondstadt believes I'm real, but atleast that leaves less for that misconception."
"What misconception?"
"Ask Barbados, shouldn't be too hard since you two are close."
"Barba-wait Venti is actually Barbados!?
"Oh dear I'm making this worse."
The still unnamed woman sighed and shook her head, "how about we focus on why my dad decided to be a woman? Surely that would be a far more easy thing to understand."
"It's because she likes women, and I don't blame her. World cold and hard, titty warm and soft."
"Dad who taught you that!?"
"You do realize I can hear the lives of all in my home yes?"
"I guess I'm at fault." Selene laughed.
"I will have my revenge upon you for this." The woman responded.
Spritefather chuckled, "oh? And how about you get your revenge over a date. Anastasia."
"F-FATHER!"
"What? She's single, friends to someone who can teach her proper tea ceremonies, and uh....they have....hmmm..." Spritefather was trying to think if what he could say to convince his daughter, "look I just want to see grand kids!"
"FATHER"
"K-KIDS!?"
"Look I'm pushing fifty million! If one of you doesn't get me kids in the next ten million years I'm going to grow grey hair!"
Anastasia starts forming an ice throwing knife, "REBEL'S-"
"Papa, what happen?" Came a childish voice.
Selene gasped, they were looking at probably the cutest thing EVER!
"Oh my ARCHONS! IS THAT A PYROSPRITE!?"
"Yes that's my child Flameo-"
Selene, already having picked up the the baby, "they're so CUTE!"
They hugged the little flame close to their face and nuzzled them, to which Flameo quickly responded to with their own.
"Smell like..." they thought for a moment, "big Bro Bardos!" They flew around Selene excitedly, "friend!"
Spritefather sighed, "Oh dear, now the rest will be coming out. And I just got them to sleep aswell."
It wasn't long before Selene was surrounded by six Sprites.
The Electrosprite landed on her vision and started vibrating happily.
The Geosprite asked, "are you strong!? I think I could be you!"
"Oh I'm sure you could." Selene said to appease the little Sprite as she chuckled chuckled.
The Anemosprite and Pyrosprite flew around her head like children.
The Hydrosprite was inspecting her clothes, "how utterly bourgeois, has my Brother and father been teaching you how to dress? Honestly, the people of mondstadt should learn from the reconnaissance captain of the knights. Now there's a woman who knows how to dress."
"Oh you mean Eula?"
"You know her?"
"Oh yeah, she's invites me to tea every now and then."
"SHE...invites....YOU...out for TEA!?-"
Anastasia puts her hand over the Hydrosprite and tries to hold her back
"Sorry about that," the woman replied, "kids and their crushes."
(Agua, muffled: I'M SIXTEENTH HUNDRED YEARS OLD!)
"Ha-haaa...."
Selene couldn't respond to that as they felt a prick in her spine, causing them to yelp.
A Dendrodsprite slinkied up her back and put it's head on her shoulder, "just sampling...never seen blood like yours...so intertwined with the...divine....yet so distan-"
Spritefather picked up his child, "please forgive Leafy, they're in their...adventurous stage. And their adventure is to learn things. Often things that involve pins and needles."
This was going to be a looong night
_____________________
The next day, Vanessa's tree
Selene yawns and falls on the statue, Venti doing the same. The difference between them is one is hungover and waiting for his boyfriend to take him home after the fifth assassination attempt this week, the other has to deal with the consequences of being loved by children and being there to try and stop the most recent assassination
"Holy shit....this hang over....I thought Decrabain's hailstorms were bad..."
"You shouldn't try watching after Leafy.....but I think half the pains are from Agua's jealousy bites......"
"You think that's bad?.....you should have seen them when they realized Cael and I....were dating....."
"...archons I hope I was never like that as a kid...."
"Oh cherry up you two!" Spritefather said, a bit too loud for the two, "it's a new day and-"
Venti hit his father with a clump of grass using anemo
"YOUNG MAN!-
"Ohheythere'sCaelgottagobye!" The archon said as he ran off.
Spritefather sighed, "he's always like that, running from responsibilities. But he always means up when it counts, so I can only say I'm proud of the man he's become," he thought for a moment, "except for when he turns into a woman for whatever reason, then I'm proud of the woman she's become...you know, after being around single form life for so long stuff like that feels so strange. I mean you humans are born with one form and cant naturally change it. But if you feel it's wrong you'll go through so much trouble just to get close to what us shape changers can get. While to humans it is inspiring purely because of the person's determination to take the form they so deserve, that they were truly meant to have. But for me it's so much more! The human spirit and will is oh so inspiring, but the amount humans go through! So much money, so much time, and in many places simply enduring life! Why even I couldn't get the...uh...transphobia is it?...out of Inazuma!Terribly sorry human language changes so much. Oh and on language! To think that I was there when the first cave man was trying to mimic the grunts of the gods, only to make something so much superior to them to the point that the gods copied THEM! And speaking of copies have you ever heard of the time Dainsleif-" he paused as he saw Selene's bored face, "sorry. One little thing and I start ranting and rave...no, it's info dumping. And I should thank you humans for making that term, and all the other wonder words you've made, and the medical advances. They've helped me understand myself....ah but look at me, rambling on again. You know what? For entertaining my kids the whole night, and listening to an old man's ramblings, I'll give you a boon. Anything you want, if I can get it you shall have it."
Selene thought for a moment. She thought about asking him to bring back her father, but they knew he couldn't raise the dead. She even thought...of her mother, to see her again, but they knew that it wouldn't help. A selfish part of her even wanted someway to reignite her's and Rosaria's relationship, after all that part of her life was, but she knew it would be wrong and that they both agree they just didn't work.
Perhaps just ask for mora? She did need some for a good night's rest, but that felt wasteful. What was one night's rest for what could be a lifetime of amazing power. But maybe it would be wrong to ask for something like power. Ah! She's got it!
"How about a spear? A really powerful one that compliments my powers perfectly! Oh! And make it look really cool!"
Spritefather blinked, then laughed, "well, that's rather simple isn't it? So amazing you humans. You expect them to make something big and/or selfish, like taking control of a country, or killing someone. Yet never once has one of my boons been used for anything bad. Even when they're selfish. Like one time I met a very selfish person who I granted a boon, and all he did with it was ask me to make sure the kids of Inazuma were never hungry. Ah, now that. That was ranting, sorry." Spritefather walked over to the statue's base and knocked three times, "hello Vanessa. It's been a while since I last called you, but I was hoping you could give me a hand? And perhaps a very sturdy branch off your tree?"
"Uhhh-"
A light shown down from the heavens and the ground shook, causing a skeletal hand to rise from the depths.
Selene would have screeched if she weren't so tired, "I'd prefer my weapon to be less...body part-sy."
"Nonsense! Everyone knows that bones make the best weapons! You know why it's called a prototype rancor?! BECAUSE NOONE WANTS TO ACCEPT THAT THE PERFECTED VERSION I, THE INVENTOR, MADE INCLUDES THE SHINBONES OF MITSCHURLS! YOU EVER SEEN A-*ahem*-sorry, rambling."
As he was ranting, a branch handed Spritefather a sturdy branch from the tree.
"Perfect, now a bit of magic and-" the two items blew up in Spritefather's face before reforming into a purple and black spear that ended in a feathery sleeve like pattern that was attached to a sharp blade that looked very much like a hand made into a spear blade. Mainly because it was.
A brilliant light shone down on the Spritefather as he floated up and presented the spear to Selene(mumbled: thanks Venessa)
"SELENE OF MONDSTADT!"
His voice became that of s god's, filled with power and compassion, booming across windrise.
"YOU HAVE SPOKEN YOUR WISH, AND BY MY HONOR AS THE ENTERNAL FATHER, I AM DUTY BOUND TO GRANT IT!"
He leans imup to Selene and whispered to her, "do you like the eternal father moniker? I thought it up myself."
"Oh yeah, 10/10, really keeping with the Inazuman background."
"Thanks."
"TAKE YOUR GRAND BLADE, AND GO FORTH TO CARVE THROWS DESTINY AND TILL YOUR OWN FUTURE!"
Selene took the spear, "uh...thanks?"
"Oh your very welcome. By the way how was that delivery? I've been working on the whole 'I am a powerful being' delivery for a few centuries."
"A bit hard to understand, but overall gets the vibe across. Maybe 8/10? Low seven probably."
"Yeah, I kind of expected that. Wonder how else I could get that effect, you know without the whole can't understand thing."
"Well, I've got teo other immortals to meet. Ones I need to question."
"Ah yes, I'm sure Cael and Barbados have much to answer for to you."
"Yes they do. I don't suppose 'see you around' would be appropriate here?"
"On a sense? It's appropriate. After all I'm your friend now aswell, and I prefer a life without isolation. So...see you round?"
"Sure, see you around."
_____________________
Admittedly didn't know how to end this. I like it but I'm a tad worried I made it to focused on my character and didn't give Selene enough attention.
Regardless I hope you enjoyed it cloud! I really tried to get Selene right. And sorry it took so long, sleep kept getting messed up, and then covid shot+forgetting to hydrate kicked my ass.

Well since apparently he can't throw water at Master Diluc, he'll simply blow a few bubbles his way.. Big bubbles. Like the ones the Hydro Abyss mages throw :)
@childeofwar // Childe
⚜┆     When Charles slipped into the tavern to switch shifts with him and off-handedly mentioned a member of the Fatui snooping around their vicinity, Diluc could already very safely guess who it was. It was not a secret that he loathe the Fatui with every fibre of his being because of the bad blood they mutually shared; the fights he had picked with their members, and challenges he’d imposed upon them bordering on humilation — those were things he cared very little about hiding. However, he had not met another Harbringer that was nearly as annoying as Childe. It was impossible to try and analyse what the Eleventh was up to, because for most of the time Childe seemed like he was up to nothing, his interests merely existing just to annoy Diluc.
Tumblr media
This time, he was prepared. As soon as Childe stepped right into where he had anticipated him to, Diluc stepped out of his hiding spot to swiftly grab both his hands and twist them behind him, holding them together with one hand.
❝It’s cute, what you are attempting to do. But you have tried to harrass me one time too many.❞ He sneered. While Childe stood a little more than half an inch taller than him, he had no problem holding the other man’s neck in an iron grip with his free hand. Pulling his head closer to his lips, he continued to threaten him. ❝I would have humoured you with a more civil conversation if you had behaved in the same demented manner like the rest of your colleagues, yet apparently that is too much to expect.❞ He wanted to say that Childe was worse than any of the other Harbringers he knew, going so far as to affect even his personal lifestyle and not just the part of his life that concerned work. ❝If I catch you one more time, release would not be an option. Instead, I will grant you the opportunity to witness the torture dungeon of yours truly.❞

Genshin Impact - Princess of the night
The duties of the Outrider division of the Knights of Favonius were as varied as they were plentiful and patrolling Mondstadt at night beyond its city walls was one of them. And her favorite too, nothing beat the soothing feeling of the cool night breeze, or the heart-throbbing feeling of saving a stranger from a monster. Surely, it was the adrenaline of combat, and not how beautiful her golden hair looked against the light of the moon.
Amber/Lumine. 2k. Ch1/3?
[Ao3]
The duties of the Outrider division of the Knights of Favonius were as varied as they were plentiful, but Amber bore every single one of them as its sole remaining member. When she came of age, Acting Grand Master Jean had been kind enough to re-establish the branch for her. Amber knew that, under the grand scheme of things, the Outrider division was only part of the Ordo Favonius, but that only motivated her even more to work hard and return it to its former glory. One day, her grandpa would come back to Mondstadt, and see how the division he had once started still kept on serving all of those in the region, be it its citizens or any travelers who happened to be around.
Had it been a few months ago, Amber had truly felt that might never happen, that she would not ever see him again. But after what just had happened? Dvalin, the ever guardian of Mondstadt, had turned on them; she had met a mysterious traveler and his floating companion in what had been a routinely scouting mission; and had found out that Venti, that drunk of a bard that never seemed to have a fill for liquor, was Lord Barbatos? Anything could happen next, and Amber felt as invigorated as ever to keep up her duties for the Outriders.
It was now a little over a week after the whole Dvalin ordeal had finished. Aether had said goodbye, and left for Liyue to continue on his journey. Amber would have loved to have gone with him (perhaps Liyue held a clue or two about the whereabouts of his grandpa), but she still had her duties to fulfill as an Outrider.
Patrolling Mondstadt at night beyond its city walls was one of those many duties. One always had to be on the lookout for Hilirchurl encampments; if they were too close to the city or too large, they would have to be dealt with. Abyss Mages were also a threat, as they were both dangerous and intelligent, the latter trait something that Hillichurls lacked (Amber swears there have been multiple times where a Hillichurls had slept or played with a butterfly while the rest of its encampment was being dealt with, so they either are not smart, or they simply never cared). Or Reckless Pallad needed saving. Again.
All of these were important reasons to go out patrolling, but really the one that Amber cared most about (not to say she did not care for the safety of Mondstadt and its citizens) was the fact that, as a night patrol, there was no real rush to her task. After a day of sprinting and gliding everywhere, where time was of the essence, nothing beat a walk on Starfell Lake or Starsnatch Cliff with the cool, accompanied by the night breeze and the light of the moon. Lamp grass, her favorite flower, also shone only during nighttime, which was an added bonus.
Of course, she was still on duty, so despite enjoying her night strolls, Amber always kept an eye out for danger and her bow ready to be drawn. Tonight was no different, as she walked up one of the many cliffs of Stormbearer Point. She always made a point of walking up to the highest points of them, as they served as great vantage points for the surrounding area (including the reflected moonlight on the ocean horizon!). Once she made it to the end of the cliffside, Amber held her bangs from blowing into her face from the strong breeze and peered to her surroundings.
A fireplace on one of the openings just beneath the cliffside but got her attention. Normally, people camping out in Mondstadt was not uncommon, but it took a strong body and the will of an adventurer to do it in such a far away place and with such rough terrain such as Stormbearer Point. Amber could barely make out the silhouette of a sleeping figure near the fire, but something else glowed near it...
Amber knew that only one thing glowed and made a perfect sphere. Whoever was sleeping out there was slowly being crept up by an Abyss Mage! Taking note of how the wind blew her hair, Amber took out her Baron Bunny, looked down and closed one eye, taking aim. As she threw the Baron down, she pulled down her goggles, took a few steps back, jumped off the cliff with a leap, and opened her glider. As she slowly fell down, Amber thanked the Archons that the Abyss Mage had been the icy kind. If the glow of its shield had been orange, her only option would have been to pick up the sleeping person and run for it.
Baron Bunny was the first one to land, immediately catching the Abyss Mage’s attention. The Abyss Mage pulled out its Leyline branch wand, and with a twirl and a swing, summoned forth icicles which Baron Bunny took like a champ. After the fourth one, Baron had enough and lit itself into an explosion, taking the Abyss Mage aback and damaging its shield. Now that she had glided down to a safe altitude, Amber put away her glider and lept down with a rain of arrows. The arrows simply bounced off of the Mage’s shield, but in its confusion, Amber took the chance to focus her vision at its highest intensity and with a Fiery Rain, both destroyed the weakened shield and the Abyss Mage alongside with it once its protection were no more.
Amber let out a sigh of relief, thankful that her attack had hit just the right spots to wipe the Abyss Mage in a single volley. The crackling of the fire left by her attack helped Amber’s heart soothe down from the rush of adrenaline her body had just been pumped with, but it quickly skyrocketed again when she heard movement behind her. In a swift motion, Amber lept away, turned around and drew an arrow, only to find a blonde girl in an intricate white getup, with her hands held up in a resigning manner.
“Um, hello?” she quizzically called out with a clear look of confusion on her face.
“Don’t you know it’s dangerous out here? There are monsters everywhere, so away from the city!” Amber put down her bow.
“And also cute girls with fire Visions and trigger-happy bow and arrows.”
The sudden compliment caught Amber off guard. “D-Don’t…!” Amber cleared her throat, she could not be tripping on her words when she had to perform her duties as an Outrider. “Don’t you know I just saved you? You had an Abyss Mage creeping up on you as you slept!”
The stranger looked even more confused until she glanced at the patch of grass behind Amber on fire. “That explains that, then,” she said as she pointed at the blazes. “By the way, your boot is going to catch on fire.”
“Huh?” Amber looked behind her, and in the jump she had instinctively made just now, her foot had landed inside the fire. In the heat of the moment, she barely noticed the heat (the fire resistance provided by her Vision had not helped either), but now fully aware of it, Amber quickly jumped away from the fire and patted her boot down, making sure it had not been set ablaze.
“A-Anyways…!” There she went, tripping on her words again. “It’s dangerous out here! You should come with me to Mondstadt.”
“And… you are…?”
“Oh!” How could she forget, again?! She had completely forgotten to introduce herself in front of Aether about a month ago, and now she was doing it once more. “I am Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius!” Amber straightened her back and did the Favonius salute, fist to her chest.
Nice to meet you, Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius,” The stranger repeated, putting her hand on her chest too.
“May the Anemo God protect you, stranger.” Well, Amber was planning to do the protection, but it was part of the Knight’s code to say that line.
“Please, call me…” The girl paused for a moment, before nodding to herself. “Ying.”
“Alright… Ying.” Amber was not too convinced with her name, but Ying looked suspicious right from her getup. “You’re not of Mondstadt, are you, Ying? Explain yourself.”
“So inquisitive… is that how things work in this region?” Ying wondered out loud, but before Amber had the chance to answer, she continued. “I’m just a traveler, out to see the worlds. I had heard of a Dragon being sighted in Mondstadt, so I arrived not too long ago to witness it.”
Dvalin? Certainly it had to be Dvalin, very few dragons lived in the modern day. Perhaps news of the Dvalin attacks on Mondstadt had spread across Teyvat, but not of its stop. “Where do you hail from, Ying?”
“Very far away. Further away from what you can see on the horizon.” Ying turned to face the ocean, and the way the moon illuminated her golden hair made her look ethereal, like she came from another world.
“Sounds like a very long trip to come here to Mondstadt.”
“Hmm. Yeah, I guess it took a while. I’ve been traveling for so long that the journeys don’t matter too much, only what’s in the end.” For a moment, Amber could see a hint of sadness in Ying’s eyes.
Now it felt so much harder to tell her that Dvalin had kept to itself in Stormterror’s Lair for weeks now, and that Dvalin only made itself present on rare occasions.
“And what are you doing out here, Miss Outrider for the Knights of Favonius?”
“Amber is just fine. I was simply on a nightly patrol, keeping an eye out for danger and monsters, and saving people from said dangers, like I just did with you! Now, come. We should get you into the city, it’s not safe out here.”
“I think you cleared out all the monsters around her already, Amber. And besides, the Fatui are in the city, no? I… don’t like them.” Ying sighed and sat down near the fireplace. “I’m safer out here than I’ll be in there with them.”
“Well...” Amber knew very well how much more dangerous the Fatui were when compared to some lowly hillichurls or a few Abyss Mages, and the way Ying spoke made Amber feel like she had some reasons to dislike them, just like Collei. “I won’t force you to come, if you really feel that way.”
“Thanks.” Ying offered Amber a smile, one that the Outrider could not take her eyes off of. “And besides, if I ever need to be rescued, the Outrider for the Knights of Favonius will come to the rescue, right?”
Never had Amber felt embarrassed by her own title, but these past few months had been a lot of first times for her. “J-Just be careful out here, okay? I need to get back to my patrols.”
“Right, I’ll keep an eye out, Amber. May the Anemo God protect you too.”
With a salute, Amber bid farewell to the stranger she had just met, and made haste to get back to her patrol route. With her short skirmish with the Abyss Mage long over, why had the adrenaline rush not gone away? If Amber did not know any better, she would say her heart was about to fly out of her chest.
__________________________________________________________
“Did I really call myself Ying... Cute girls will be the end of me…” Ying said to herself as she rubbed the temples of her head. Standing up, she walked up to the burnt grass left by Amber and picked up the Leyline branch the Abyss Mage had left in its demise.
“I wanted to travel alone here, but someone just had to insist they had to come along…” Ying shook her head and pocketed the Leyline branch.
“Aether has made some very cute friends, hasn’t he?”
Now, Lumine just had to get Amber to rescue her again, but how will she do it next time?
