Tarot question, the high priestess!
The high priestess: what is your dream date?
Well, since it didn't say it had to be a first date I'm gonna say this would be with someone I've come to feel safe with but I'm still getting to know: we have a whole day set aside, and with a parameter of going at most maybe 2 hrs outside our city, we each pick a place that represents something abt the core of who we are. So I take them to the closest biggest body of water and tell them about growing up in Florida and how the ocean knows me in ways humans never can. Maybe they take me to a random town they've never been to before and we go antiquing bc they like seeing new places rather than old, and antiquing is what they did with their grandma growing up. Or, idk, they have us hike to the highest point within the radius and tell me how they like hikes with a challenge because when their legs burn and their heart rate increases they feel wild, like they belong there in the forest. And while we're driving we both play songs for each other that have meant something to us in our lives, taking turns, telling stories, their song reminds me of one from when I was 9 that I forgot existed, they haven't listened to this genre in ages and start remembering all the songs they used to love. When we get back to our city we get ice cream. I go home buzzing and dance around my apartment with my cats to one of the songs they shared.

Some of my favorite, understated moments with heartbreaking implications for Halsin
1. Halsin threatening to turn into a mouse in the epilogue if the player brags about his achievements- he's so shy and humble that just being acknowledged for LITERALLY BUILDING A COMMUNE HIMSELF makes him want to hide. A mouse is a very symbolic choice here: not only easy to hide, but also easily overlooked and forgotten. The idea of his accomplishments being acknowledged is so terrifying for him that he wants to turn into an animal no one will notice, instead of his usual strong, large, noticeable bear.
2. "Sometimes, I think people look at me and imagine my feelings can't be hurt." This isn't the kind of thing that happens after one or two people act like jerks. This is years and years of cruel treatment, of his emotions being demeaned and mocked because of his size. Of people judging him before even meeting him- and forming an entirely wrong view of him. Halsin is a bighearted, tender, sentimental man, yet because he's big... Well, big people don't have feelings, surely. /s
3. "You and I may struggle to go unnoticed in such environs, Karlach[...] Folk of our stature can be a lure for drunkards seeking a brawl, I have found," combined with, "There is a particular discomfort to besting one you know to be weaker than yourself - even when needs must," from a different scene. People have sought him out and fought him because of his size (which had to have been terrifying, especially the first time), and he feels guilty when he takes out someone he knows is weaker, even if they STARTED it. How many times has the poor guy been traveling and then had to defend himself against someone 1/2 his size, making HIM look like the asshole to onlookers, and reinforcing that whole "people think I can't be hurt" thing?
4. "It was always destined to be so, if we prevailed. But the foreknowledge makes it no less bittersweet..." (About the players' paths diverging post brain battle), combined with "I see... After all my years of living, I know all too well that nothing lasts forever. Yet a parting can sting, nonetheless," if the player breaks up with him in the ending. This poor guy was having the time of his life adventuring with the group (and possibly falling in love there) yet never believed it would truly last (because of his abandonment issues). And then to have it confirmed.... he must have felt so awful in that moment, even if he was being dignified about it.
5. "You came for me... thank you. I feared Orin's accursed smile would be the very last sight I beheld," when Halsin is freed from Orin, combined with, "Orin's blades. I hoped my friends would save me..." If he is killed by Orin instead and Speak With the Dead is used on his corpse. The tone of his voice in the first line, especially added to that bit in the second... he never thought the player was coming to save him. He HOPED they would. Not "believed". Hoped. He thought he was going to die there- just like how he was in the Underdark for THREE YEARS and no one came to save him. And if it's confirmed... Yeah. That. (Sidenote: if you ask his corpse if he has any regrets, he says not telling Thaniel and Oliver goodbye, and not getting to see their land flourish. :( My heart. :( )
6. "I... have not had true confidantes for some time. The Shadow Curse robbed me of almost all my peers, and replaced them with the weight of responsibility. Perhaps that caused me to gild undeserving memories of my youth." Halsin was so miserable and stressed being Archdruid that he romanticized his past as a sex slave, viewing it as a safer, even happier alternative. There were actually times when Halsin thought he might rather be a sex slave than continue to be Archdruid. In a sense, for the 100 years the Shadow Curse was around, Halsin was just as much a prisoner as Thaniel was in the Shadowfell, but Halsin's prison had invisible bars. The Shadow Curse took away his entire support system, and being Archdruid forced him to be the strong one, always, never allowed to be weak or scared, forced him to take control of situations when he hated it, forced him to spend his time sorting out people instead of being in nature. And he was MISERABLE. For 100 years.
7. "You understand me almost perfectly. Only my late mother may have bested you." (Said if you get one question wrong at the love dryad test). He misses his mama. :( Especially when you consider that if you steal Balthazar's "Mother Dearest" and taunt him about it, Halsin disapproves (and is the only one to do so), while returning her gets you approval (which only Halsin approves of). And then the line when you look into a mirror while controlling him, "more like my father, with each passing day..." He really misses them. :(
8. "I am loathe to see anyone behind bars. It reminds me of my time as a guest of the goblins." He is, secretly, still quite traumatized from his time in the goblin pens, but he brushes it off. Just like every OTHER time he is hurt.
9. "I am aware [of having a habit of getting captured]. Perhaps I put too much faith in my skills of negotiation, or want to see good where there is none. It would be easy to resort to nature's fury whenever something stood in my way, yet I cannot help but feel I would be sullying the Oak Father's gifts. Naive perhaps... but I still draw breath." Halsin is aware he gets hurt often because of his desire to see good in people until he has no other choice, but refuses to give up anyway (which is backed up by that letter Gut had on her where she reveals Halsin TRIED to help the goblins, saying he could cure them of their tadpoles, only to be thrown in the cage, with Gut threatening to have his stomach cut open and maggots placed inside it.) Further, even though he is an Archdruid, and one of the most devoted, and explicitly has Silvanus's favor (Halsin says that gaining his favor was the only way he was able to open the portal to the Shadowfell), he still constantly worries about using Silvanus's powers, to the point of wondering if an actual threat to his safety actually merits using his powers. Which... combined with some other stuff, reads like one hell of a problem with self-worth.
10. "At least you were not present. Grim as [the ruined battlefield] is now, it was worse on the day of the battle. A vivid wound upon my memory[...] I was lucky - I lived, when so many did not. It would take me a day and a night to recite the names of all the friends I lost" combined with, "I was [present when the Shadow Curse was unleashed]. Part of my spirit was shorn away from me here, and never left," and, if Last Light falls, "All gone... devoured by the shadows. Oak Father preserve us, it's just like a hundred years ago[...] We are [still standing]. Yet there is a burden to being the survivor... the witness to others' tragedies. It only grows heavier with time." He has so much PTSD and survivor guilt from the Shadow Curse. :( No wonder it's all he can think about- to the point that some of the other companions even get annoyed at him for his obsession.
11. "I never quite realised how burdened I was, until I met you. The threat of the shadow curse, the politics of the grove... I was forgetting who I was, but you lifted the fog. Thank you." Not only does this tie in with the above, with his PTSD from the curse and his utter misery at being Archdruid, but this HEAVILY implies Halsin had depression. Like... that "fog" line hits HARD if you have or have had depression, because that's exactly what it feels like. And the "forgetting who I was" bit too. Not just losing his sense of self to the depression, but to the neverending responsibilities of being Archdruid. I keep repeating myself, but damn, this guy has really and truly spent an entire century being absolutely MISERABLE. :(
12. "Forgive me. I... lost the run of myself. Sometimes, if blood runs hot enough, it's difficult to tame the beast." With that little disgusted groan/sigh, the fury and disgust at himself visible on his face, and the way he rushes to get out the rest of it- he thinks he fucked up so badly that you're about to leave him, maybe forever. And then if you reject him after this? "Ah... I see. Well, of course. Back to camp then." He has the most heartbroken look on his face here, and the way he says "of course" like he just... knew this was coming the instant he accidentally wildshaped. He felt that the first time he let ANY of his imperfections show, the player would leave him. :(
13. "Death is nature's final slumber - it awaits us all. Do not punish yourself over those lost, or give in to despair - not while there are still folk in need of your help." (Said to a Dark Urge if they tell him they're not much of a hero and most people needing them end up dead) Not only is Halsin speaking from experience here, but it's very clear he is STILL doing exactly what he tells Durge not to do, to himself- punishing himself over those who were lost, struggling with devastating survivor guilt.
14. "The grove has cut itself off from the world, to jealously guard its own little pocket of nature. No one shall ever enter or leave again. And I have been evicted from the very place I was charged to safeguard. A telling summary of my time as Archdruid, perhaps..." If the Grove is sealed and you ask him about it later, this is what he says. Interesting that he views being evicted from the place he was in charge of protecting to be a "telling summary." He was forced to take the leadership role there, and yet it was clear he wasn't wanted or respected by a great number of the Druids (exempting Nettie, Rath, and Apikusis). He got a truly thankless job that took damn near EVERYTHING from him emotionally/mentally, causing him to develop depression and causing him to backslide in his previous healing from his trauma from his time as a sex slave, he still gave EVERYTHING to the Grove, and in return...... almost none of his Druids appreciated or even liked him. (I could seriously write at least five metas about how obviously miserable Halsin was at the Grove, despite caring for it deeply).
15. "You could have done anything, gone with anyone... yet you chose me." Said at the epilogue to a solo romanced player who went to the commune with him. There's so many layers of heartbreak here. He is still surprised, six months later, that the player chose him. He even thinks the player will regret it, and will decide they want an adventurer's life after all after seeing everyone else. He doesn't think he is good enough- doesn't think he deserves the player, and yet at the same time he loves them so much that he is heartbroken over the possibility they might agree with him. He thinks that given a chance, there is little chance they would actually choose him again. (He is put at ease quickly when the player promises they picked him for a reason, but even the explanation he gives for why he was so worrie is heartbreaking- that he's so used to a tumultuous life that he thinks something must go wrong. He has been so traumatized so many times over the years that he just has almost no ability to think that true happiness is possible [or deserved] for him.) Something about that is just heartbreaking, even though his ending is one of the happiest of any of the companions.
Someone give this sweet bear man a hug, please :(

In terms of trying to transplant how Dick’s generation grew up to independent adult heroes onto Tim’s generation, one of the significant issues is that the two groups have very different backstories.
The Fab Five and their generation were largely cared for children with present guardians during their teen years. Their ‘growing up’ rebellion moments were about wanting to establish their own identities separate to their parent/guardian. Then once NTT occurred and new young adult characters were added to it, you had a bunch who were escaping overbearing guardians with expectations the young adult didn’t want to fulfil, and leaving trauma behind.
The Core Four and other 90s heroes, in contrast, were mostly latchkey kids. They had loving but absent parents and parental figures. They were largely expected to grow up and show they were independent in their early teens. The arcs of their stories were not about growing up and finding themselves and ‘be your own person’, but about learning to trust others and interdependency and working together.
Like the shape of a Fab Five story is ‘in my preteens or earlier a Disaster Happened and I was taken in by a hero who cared for me and taught me the business as their sidekick. Then around 18-20 I moved out to live in a sharehouse with my friends as I wanted to find who I was outside of the shadow of being a sidekick’.
While…Tim’s generation largely aren’t sidekicks in the same sense. The shape of THEIR stories are of ‘teenager with largely absent adults is expected to grow up and show emotional maturity too early’. It’s actually notable that Tim, Kon and Bart all have long term story arcs that involve gaining a stable household right near the end.
Kon’s entire solo is the story of how he is neglected and exploited by every adult around him. He doesn’t have parents. He’s Peter Pan, the little boy who cannot grow up, who lives without parental expectation. He’s a celebrity kid exploited by Rex Leech and by CADMUS, who’s expected by those around him to act in an adult manner and held to that standard while simultaneously specifically being underage and not having the right to make his own decisions. His final arc in Superboy is about being so abandoned he doesn’t even have CADMUS to depend on anymore so he has to find an apartment and a job (the building superintendent) and is expected to act and function like an adult in that position. Superboy #59 (FIFTY NINE) is when Kon finally gets his own name. Superboy #100 is ABOUT Kon moving in with Jonathan and Martha Kent and finally having a stable home environment where he can be a child. Heck Kon’s already had a story where he’s ‘married’ and responsible for a kid. He’s had solo space adventures.
Bart’s solo is about Bart and Max learning to be a family together, but also: Bart’s childhood didn’t contain parents. Meloni turns up occasionally through his solo and loves him but also has to disappear away back to the 30th century at the end of each appearance. The final arc of Bart’s solo is about him moving in with Jay and Joan Garrick for more stability, because Max has disappeared (and stays disappeared). And then, post his solo, Bart even already has HAD an arc where he had to grow up and assume the Flash mantle (which went horribly wrong and led to his death).
Tim? Tim’s entire solo is about upheaval and change. The first time he’s expected to behave as an independent hero, not a sidekick, is literally Robin #1 when Azbats kicks him out of the Cave. Jack threatens to send him away to boarding school on multiple occasions and DOES for the Brentwood arc. He loses Jack, he loses Dana, he moves out to be a hero caring for his own city at 16, in Bludhaven post War Games. Bruce’s adoption of Tim was all about giving him back that sense of stability and support so that Tim had people backing him up again in his personal life and not only as a hero. And then he does the ‘leave and get a new identity’ thing during Red Robin.
And Cassie? Cassie starts with a loving mother and her story arc over becoming a hero is about periods of operating on her own. She moves away from her mum to go to Elias School. Due to operating as a hero under her own name she eventually has to come up with the alias of Drusilla Priam to give herself a non-public identity to retreat to (and isn’t living with Helena Sandsmark but renting on her own during this period to protect Helena).
This is a set of characters for whom it makes no narrative sense to tell a story of them growing up by ‘moving out and finding their own identity as separate heroes’ because their entire PAST is about being alone and looking for connections and people to rely upon. They haven’t been looking for their mentors to accept them as independent adults, they’ve been looking to their mentors to be present and work with them.
They have already all BEEN through the steps of moving out (while underage) and learning to look after themselves as nobody else was there to support them. Growing up for them is about learning to trust and be respected for the skills they already have and trusted to know what they’re doing, rather than leaving to show they can operate independently.
And that’s a harder narrative to show, because it’s a less common growth story in our culture. But in the Core Four’s case, I’d argue a lot of the traditional signifiers of adulthood (moving out; moving away for education; taking responsibility for a city on their own; travelling for quests) are things they were already expected to do while still significantly underage, and so sending them through that plot again isn’t showing anything new to allow them growth. What they need is the adults around them to treat them as adults for the things they already can and do do.

Task Force 141 + Reader (Callsign-Crash): friendship headcanons
a/n: Hello hello! Just some random headcanons that I had written down for Crash and her relationships with the members of the 141 team. Nothing romantic, just some wholesome stuff.
original gif by @collinnmckinley
also, this is really freaking long, sorry in advance. enjoy reading!
Tumblr media
Before getting thrown out the window and getting her callsign, she was quiet and shy around the group. Opting to listen to others conversations, rarely adding to it.
Honestly intimidated with how tightly knit the team is, and given her previous team’s history, she was scared to get close.
Volunteered to be the DD whenever the group goes out to a bar. Fortunately, most of the time, Ghost is sober(enough) to help her get everyone into the car and into their rooms
Would silently comfort Soap and Gaz whenever they threw up, rubbing their backs and getting them water.
In the mornings after, she got everyone a breakfast burrito. Soap and Gaz are eternally grateful. Got a little information about her when they asked why she got them food. “Help with my hangovers during college.” Soap and Gaz gave each other a look as she walks away
After the window incident, Crash becomes a lot more open. Seeing how they treat her as if she has been with them for years, it wasn’t fair to them with how closed off she was.
Soap:
He talks to you a lot and you don’t mind. He just comes out and starts rambling on whatever he has interested him at that moment. You don’t really say anything, just sitting there awkwardly (because why would he want to talk to the newbie instead of his friends) but nodding to what he says anyways. One time though, he looks at you and says “Thanks for listening to me. It’s nice to have someone not tell me to ‘Shut the fuck up Mactavish.’”
Literally you after he tells you this:
Tumblr media
“you’re my friend now. we’re having soft tacos later” vibes
Would send him memes and funny videos whenever you guys are on leave
His contact name on your phone is “Bubbles”
Would show you how to make bombs out of random shit. Set them off in bare fields or abandon buildings. Had a couple close calls
Will let you call him Johnny but you call him Mac instead.
“Aww, why not, lassie?”
“I’d rather not get my ass beat by your boyfriend.”
Calls you Lassie along with your callsign. When he wants to piss you off, he calls you Mini Ghost or Little Ghost
Like Ghost, you rarely take off your balaclava and tactical glasses
“The mask, take it off.”
“Nah, I don’t wanna.”
“You ugly?”
“Not as ugly as you old man.”
Has yet to seen you drunk though and he intends to get you there some day
Holds his hand when he’s throwing up
You would use him as a pillow during rides back to the base
The first person to tell him about any drama that’s happening in your life
Gives you advice about men
"Men are stupid, trust me, I am one."
Loves it when you would go on ramblings about the things you like. Anime confuses the hell out of him but he would always ask you about the plot and your favorite characters. He’d ask you about the current artist you listen to and has a list of recommendations from you so he could look them up when he gets home
After a mission gone wrong and believing that it was his fault, you seek him out, finding him sitting alone in the meeting room. You tell him
“It’s going to be okay. I trust you, John.”
He tears up and you wrap your arms around him.
Gaz:
With you two being the youngest, you bond over similar experiences
Sometimes share exactly one brain cell with each other. Sometimes you, Gaz and Soap share a brain cell
Brings out the chaotic gen z energy of each other
Your guys’ energy:
Tumblr media
Follows each other on social media and would send each other tiktoks at ungodly hours
Kind of have a competition against each other to see who’s Price’s favorite child is
Gaz finally has someone who he can talk about anime with
Favorite shows to watch together: Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo  and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure
Similar music taste. The whole team listens to Queen, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and a few more others. However, Gaz and Crash have the same love of rap and indie pop. Anything they find on tiktok will be added to their shared Spotify playlist.
Gaz would ask about how college was like. He thought about going but ultimately for him, the military was the better option
“Were you part of a sorority?”
“Oh hell no. Loved going to the parties though. Always had top shelf vodka.”
“Really? Thought students couldn’t afford it.”
“When it comes to alcohol, we find a way.”
Share the same sentiment of feeling like they’re not doing enough in the team. After a particularly rough mission, you two would find a corner and just sit together in silence.
Would break the silence by quoting something from vine or tiktok and all things would be okay again
Price:
He has adoption papers ready
Crash, despite your name, is polite, respectful and responsible. Would always help Price clean up after meetings and briefs
Same with Soap, you would listen quietly to Price’s war stories and even his favorite fishing trips
Saw in your file about what happened to your old team and captain. Vows to never pull the same stunt as them
Sadden to see how you’re so young and has seen and dealt with many things already. It breaks his heart that there’s more that you’ll experience.
You, Soap and Gaz would do dumb shit all the time but you knew when it was the right time to bail. Of course, they would snitch on you to Price. You’d rarely get in trouble though
Basically you two:
Tumblr media
Would gift him cigars from the countries you’d visit during leave
Also a matching set of torch lighters. His has a special green flame while yours is pink.
You don’t smoke anymore but you would hangout with him and help him finish reports together.
Price often thinks about a life where he didn’t join the military. A life of normalcy. To go to a home filled with life.
Would have loved to have kids and technically, he still can but his job makes it almost impossible.
But with Gaz and now you, you two are his pride and joy.
Would be the “hip” dad and will always ask about the new slang and memes
“This food is-what you kids call it...uh, busting!”
You and Gaz look at each other, “It’s bussin’.”
“This food is bussin’!”
Ghost:
Did not to want to get close to you at all.
Was honestly peeved when Price told him that he was going to mentor you
“I don’t want to play babysitter, Captain.”
Surprised to see how short you were. All of the rumors and information he was told, they never mention your size
At first, he hated how you would follow him around like a lost puppy.
“Leave me alone, go bother Soap or something.”
Doesn’t miss the flash of hurt in your eyes but you turn around anyways.
Before you joined, he, Price and Laswell were all sitting in Price’s office, his phone on speaker. He was reading over your file before Price’s contact said
“She reminds me of Ghost when I worked with him seven years ago.”
He looks up from the folder, Price’s eyebrows shoot up in surprise and Laswell nodding.
“I think we’ll have her transferred to us,” Price replies.
Hates to admit but he’s impressed. Thought the rumors was bullshit but you proved him wrong, time and time again
You still have a lot of things to learn and even more practice to do but he believes in you
Does not go easy. He’s merciless. Has put you down countless times and reprimanded you more. You would always leave training sessions with a new bruise. The rest of the team gets concerned with his training methods.
But you still get up and you blink away the tears whenever he shouts at you
At about five months after you joined, on a mission, you spot an enemy behind him before he does and without a word, you quickly take your knife out and throw it towards the man behind him.
He opens his mouth to yell at you but he sees the enemy on the corner of his eye and watch him slump down. Your knife stuck in his bleeding neck
Gives you a nod after that. Pulling out your knife and handing it back to you
Knife throwing would be one of the training sessions youd do. It was also a good time for some small chat
Finds out that you’re also a part of the “Dead Mom, Shitty Dad” club
It takes a year for him to SLIGHTLY open up to you
Told you about one of his favorite dishes his mom made and his favorite Queen song was ‘You’re My Best Friend’
Even told you how he likes his Earl Grey prepared
It scares him of how much you remind him of his mom and brother. You have her kindness and his determination. He will never tell you this
You, along with the team, become the very thing he cares about and will protect you to the best of his ability.

"are you sure we are alone in here jisung?" you had your doubts, standing in the abandoned house which was located at the end of the city. jisung began to wander around checking each entrance and exit before going upstairs.
"it's all clear, no need to worry princess" he spun you around before hugging you from behind, planting small kisses on your neck. you two took the bus to this place cause jisung was dying to take you there.
you felt a hand traveling down your sides before the lingering feeling on your body stopped being present. his hand was fumbling in your purse, searching for the blunt and lighter as jisung still left small kisses on your face.
"ah there we go" you heard him giggle a little when he pulled out the items he desperately wanted from your bag. you and jisung barely smoke, but when you do its always an adventure. you are about to face him but he was quicker than you, now standing in front of you with the blunt between his lips.
the way his body was towering over yours, veins on his neck clearly visible. jisung started to get buff over the past few months and now you're finally seeing the progress he made.
"what are you thinking about?" his voice was muffled due to the tiny object stuck between his lips so you quickly got your hands on it before jisung was able to light it up, knowing he would smoke it almost empty without letting you hit it once.
"you, me, us." you smiled at him as the lighter in his hand found its way to the blunt. the time passed, all you could hear in the building was laughter and giggles.
you were truly happy with jisung and you would never wish for someone else than him.

<Sam’s little sister>
-Colby Brock-
—————————————————————————
Tumblr media
Before dating:
Sam hated the idea of his best friend dating his little sister
That’s why Colby held his feelings off for so long because he didn’t want to make Sam uncomfortable
But soon the feelings were too strong to ignore
You got closer very easily might I add
Everyone had a hunch you liked each other, the mainly knew he liked you.
Especially fans
He seemed very protective of you in videos, more than everyone else
In haunted videos he would always check up on you, make sure you’re not going in first or in any danger
You like the thrill though and he knows this but he can’t help himself
Fans picked up on all this and started to ship you
As much as you denied it you both knew it was true
You always seemed to gravitate towards each other even when you’re in a big group/crowd
For example you would sit beside each other, walk side by side, talk to each other more, find ways to be alone
This is what led you to dating
When at a party you both hid away in the bedroom
One conversation led to a deep conversation and he kissed you
You were shocked but didn’t fight it
Sam finding out:
You both hid this from your friends to avoid drama between everyone
They soon picked up on it though
Sam being the first to ask Colby about it.
He asked if anything was going on between you and Colby and because Colby didn’t want to lie anymore he admitted you were dating for the past month
Sam was rightfully upset
Not because you were dating but because you hid it from him
He came around though and was your biggest shipper
Dating Colby would include:
He always has his hands on you in some way
Not sexually though
He would hold your hand, your thigh, have his arm around your waist etc
Filming together
Sam teased you two SO MUCH
He’ll come in while you’re in his apartment or room and just tell something stupid before leaving
Colby finds it funnier than you do
“It’s a little funny!”
“No I hate him!”
He’s very protective of you and will constantly make sure you’re ok and safe
Especially in videos when you’re exploring or ghost hunting
You’re usually the little spoon but if he’s had a bad day it switches
His fans love you and are also protective of you when it comes to haters
He loves seeing you in his clothes
Hoodies, t-shirts, rings whatever
You steal his rings a lot
He knows you do and gave up asking you if it was you who took them because he already knows
Adventures when you want to get out somewhere
You’ll just drive until you find somewhere interesting to look around like a forest, cave or abandoned building
Checks up on you daily and knows when something is wrong
He’s not overly jealous but can get a little annoyed when a guy shows you a lot of attention
You don’t give the attention back though
Instead you go to Colby and kiss him in front of the guy
He loves it when you do this
When you kiss he always has his hands on your waist or back
He knows what spots to put his hands every time
During makeouts he’ll put you on his lap and hold your hips down
He’ll leave hickeys in less obvious spots because of videos and you two not wanting to share that part of your life
Your friends always see them though and you don’t hear the end of it
Forehead kisses all the time
When cuddling he loves to play with your hair and loves it when you play with his
He tried to braid your hair once but it didn’t end well
You paint his nails a lot and he loves it
When you’re bored you’ll draw on his arms or colour in his tattoos with felt tips
He just lets you do it while he scrolls through his phone
Stargazing is something you love to do as you know so much about Stars
He sits there and listens to you talk about it and he loves it

Tumblr media
Missions with Dazai and Chuuya always resulted in a thrilling adventure. There was never a time you'd look back on a mission you'd had with both and say to yourself, 'that was a bummer.'
You weren't supposed to work alongside them. Within the Port Mafia, Dazai and Chuuya were always to be assigned missions that were too dangerous for someone ordinary.
And, you? Well.
You possessed no ability. Your purpose in the Port Mafia was your background - your status.
Heiress to your father's wealth in your homeland of France, your parents were part of a certain elite group that made you a walking target should you venture without protection.
That is why you were always thrown as the bait.
With all respects to Dazai, that is, who introduced to Mori the idea of having you be the helpless, dumb damsel skipping merrily into danger.
You weren't happy about this arrangement and that was made clear by your sulking.
" Oh, look at me, I am an unattended woman. "
You sluggishly wandered around the dark halls of the abandoned facility, your voice just barely loud enough for the walls to echo your sarcastic jokes.
" This is serioouuuss! " The earpiece cleverly hidden in your ear crackled into life, you knew the voice belonged to Dazai. " Been chasing this guy for ages now, I think he's got some sort of phasing ability. He might appear outta no where, but Chuuya's trailing behind you, so don't worry. "
As if it could ease your nerves, it only made you regret agreeing to this further. " Great. I'm comforted. " You replied in a snarky manner.
You were dressed in lavish clothing that not even your pompous, arrogant mother would ever think of wearing. You seemed to have a distaste for reminders of the generational wealth you possess and opt to distance yourself from a 'royal' life. It proved impossible when it was the only thing that allowed you to maintain a job in the Port Mafia.
The gloomy and cold atmosphere left you hugging yourself for warmth as you traversed through complicated corridors. Although your earpiece was not connected to Chuuya's, you worried that you were walking off-course and/or Chuuya knew where you are meant to go, but could not blow his cover to correct your stupid mistakes.
Chuuya did a pretty good job at staying hidden. You could not hear a thing other than the clacking of your heels against metal flooring. " Ohh.. I'm so scared. " You pitched your voice higher, this being your best shot at luring out whoever it is the PM were after. You weren't taking this seriously, that was clear to both Dazai and Chuuya.
This wasn't the first mission you three were together, there were a few others that you'd two go through but this was the first time you were thrown a seal to a shark.
Dazai was elsewhere in the building, you weren't sure where and he gave no information when asked. With the affirmation Chuuya had your back, you knew that there was nothing to fear.
You would have appreciated some communication on his end though. You figured it must be his unnatural shyness towards you that made it hard for him to be too forward.
You easily noticed how his behaviour would change around you. And with Dazai around? Oh, boy.
Even if you could be a little air-headed sometimes, you weren't dumb to the hints in front of you.
From the day you were rescued from captivity - a story for another day - Chuuya stood out. You find it funny how he'd be unable to face you for more than a minute before looking away hurriedly. It sprung your new-found hobby of teasing Chuuya whenever you could. Of course Dazai picked up on it pretty soon after too and Chuuya has not known peace since. You couldn't help it! You weren't to blame! You giggled to yourself reminding yourself of Chuuya's little crush, fingers intertwined behind your back loosely, your back straightening from its previous hunched-over stance.
Feeling sudden confidence surge through your veins with the recollection of memories with Chuuya, you were just about to turn on your heel to address the gravity manipulator until a hand grabbed you from behind - before you had the chance to see who it was, you felt cold metal press against your temple that made you freeze up.
In front of you, Chuuya had finally revealed himself, but he too was stood as still as stone.
" Kill me 'n the girl goes too. "
They have never let it get THIS bad. Not ever have you ever even been in the hold or this close to an enemy, and here you were at gunpoint, something that was not planned.
You didn't dare break eye contact from Chuuya. This might just be your final moment. With great trust in Chuuya and Dazai's ability, you weren't sure how they'd proceed with this.
Chuuya might end up being the last thing you see. The look of fear on his face too didn't ease your nerves. They were not in the position to bargain. And funnily enough, you blamed yourself for this.
" Fine, yeah. Let her go. " Chuuya stood up from his mid-offensive position and dropped whatever weapon he had. A gun and a small knife for close-combat, he raised his arms above his head to firmly show his surrender. The hand that was previously on your lower hip raised to roughly cover your mouth, a gloved palm shoving itself in your face and that broke you down immediately. Fear took over and your knees went weak with pure fright, yet the man behind you had his fingers digging into the flesh of your cheek with such a harsh grab that it kept you standing up-right, the barrel of the gun pressing in deeper to your skull, sure to leave indents - that is if you weren't just shot dead. Then an indent would be the less of your worries.
With your back pressed against the chest of the stranger, you could feel the vibration of his confident voice as he spoke loudly, " Don't take me for a fool, Nakahara. You could easily use that ability of yours. " And that was true. You actually forgot about Chuuya's ability. Your mind was too foggy at the moment.
It was the first time you saw Chuuya Nakahara look uncertain in whether this mission would end well or not. He smiled insecurely as he let out a gruff exhale, " Wouldn't do that if I wanted her to live, yeah? Now let her go. "
Even if he kept grinning, you could see how the sweat dripped from his face even through your own teary eyes. With the palm pressing over your mouth and nose, it was difficult to breathe and steady your heart that was already beating fast enough as it is.
" Hmm.. " The gun was lowered slowly, caressing down your cheek and to your chest before being positioned at the pit of your stomach, " But do I really wanna? "
You began to squeal in protest, unable to accept your helplessness but it seemed someone else did your job of retaliation for you.
In the blink of an eye, the man holding you captive fell backwards and consequentially dragged you down with him but ended up tripping you up a bit further. You fell with your head banging on the hard floor, your captors hand slipping from your mouth and allowing you to briefly ‎gasp for air. The clattering of a gun was heard somewhere yet you were too dazed to properly do anything at this point.
The last thing you remember was the feeling of being raised from your underarms and distant shouting.
Tumblr media
" -as if she'd be able to do-"
" No, you shut up! You could've done something easily. "
" It was your idea to use her as a fuckin' pawn, don't twist this. "
" Uhh! I'm sowwy~! I thought Chuuya Naka-fucking-hara had some balls to intercept~! "
" Zip it! She's waking up! "
Groggily, you stared at the two of them, sitting opposite each-other on the end of your bed. Judging by the bright white, you were most likely in the infirmary.
Chuuya was the first to lean in, he must have not noticed his hand coming to rest over yours which were folded nearly over your stomach. He had hope in his eyes, contrasting with the emotion you last remember them in. " Y/N? " He called out to you, taking a glimpse at the steady heart monitor.
Testing your voice, you let out a low hum before croaking out a meek, " Heya. "
Dazai was the first to break a laugh at your first words. His and Chuuya's eyes were soft.
" Don't look cute, I'm pissed at you both. " You huffed, turning your head to the side, avoiding them both.
Chuuya held your hand a little tighter, he understood if you decided to be unhappy with him. " Sorry, Y/N. I really fucked that up. Shit, I just didn't know what to do. " He explained himself with such compassion you were urged to look at him again. " I guess I discovered seein' you like that. Uh. In trouble and stuff, makes me seize up badly. "
From the corner of your eye you saw Dazai huff before standing up, but Chuuya held onto your attention as he continued speaking tenderly to you, " I thought that this loser would have planned a set-up and knew that was gonna happen but. It took too long. I realised last second he didn't plan shit. "
" Hey! Don't be so rude, Chuuya~ Besides, if it weren't for me, precious princess would've been shot. " You saw Dazai reach into his back pocket for something you couldn't quite recognise yet.
" Oh, that was you, Dazai? " You asked, alluding to the sudden drop during the action. " Yuup~ And y'know what the best part is? "
You quirked a brow and stole a shared glance from Chuuya. Dazai was unexpectable.
" Since me and Chuuya are so nice.. "
So Chuuya was in on this too?
Dazai paused his sentence and hummed in a baby-ish voice. " Kill me and the girl goes too! " He mocked, earning him an earnest giggle from you. " That wasn't funny, Dazai! I was scared! " You retorted, but still couldn't wipe that smile off of your face.
" Sorry, sorry. But, like he wanted, he's not dead. "
Dazai held the object he had pulled out in front of him. Bloodied priars.
" Technically death caused by unattended injuries is not 'killing him' on MY end, isn't that right, Chuuya? "
Chuuya nod his head before you.
They have that man locked in a fucking basement.

DIALOGUE PROMPTS
i know my way around. i've stayed the night before.
is this the pillow i used last time?
mind if i stay the night?
you snore, you know.
i think i might fall asleep standing up.
it's not safe for you to drive home.
you should stay here. i don't mind.
i'll take the couch, and you can have my bed.
don't be serious. i'll take the couch.
this could be fun! it's a sleepover!
i have nowhere else to go.
i feel safer when you're here.
i don't want to impose.
are you the big spoon or little spoon?
would it be all right if i stayed the night?
i don't snore.
i'll stay on my side of the bed if you stay on yours.
pretend there's an invisible line down the middle of the bed. don't cross it.
there's no harm in cuddling.
i'm freezing.
is this the first time you've slept with someone?
this doesn't have to lead to sex.
this doesn't mean anything.
you fell asleep on my shoulder.
i'll protect you all night.
you'll never get home in a storm like this.
i don't want you driving in that.
i don't want you traveling in that.
bad news. the room's only got one bed.
is there a pullout couch we can use?
i'll just sleep on the floor.
pretty sure we cuddled all night.
you used me as your pillow.
i got you a blanket.
mind if i scoot in?
stay in bed. i'm here to help.
what's a little cuddling between friends?
i'm glad you stayed over.
what if we watch something to pass the time?
i didn't have anywhere else to go.
did you have to buy the smallest tent possible?
at least pretend that you like me.
do you like spooning?
this doesn't have to be awkward.
you're really warm.
this is cozy.
you should stay like this.
i don't want you to go.
can i hold you for a while?

Dungeon: To Split the Mountain Wide
Renowned for it's beauty and magical reactivity, Thaliasite is a valuable mineral said to spring up where the tears of a sky goddess soak into the earth. When deposits are found, they're quickly mined to exhaustion.
Taking a gamble on of one of these near abandoned claims, a somewhat reckless alchemist has attempted to promote the growth of new crystal through an experimental process involving the channelling of elemental energies and a bit of bastardized geomancy which miraculously resulted in the growth of new crystals and the reopening of the mine.
Some weeks later however and it appears the process has worked too well as the slow initial recovery has given way to explosive new growth; splitting the mountain wide open and trapping several crews of workers in the depths of the mine. The party has been called in after rescue attempts were halted by rogue elementals, as well as attacks by grell from the nearby wastes drawn in by the arcane energies.
Adventure Hooks:
Need a quick starter for a badlands campaign? Have the party be made up of miners/locals from the nearby settlement who's livelihood depends on the reopened mine. No better team building exercise then rescuing innocents from a magically and structurally unstable cave system liable to cave in/explode at any moment.
This literal explosion of valuable material is going to have far reaching consequences, turning the little mining village into a boomtown over the next few months. This will bring all kinds of fortuneseekers, outlaws, and wandering mages out of the woodwork, to say nothing of the more otherworldly entities that will blow in on the wind.
While you could chalk the disaster up to the usual unreliability of alchemical experimentation, a party that digs around a little deeper and keeps a wary eye out may discover a conspiracy by the mineral combine that once owned the depleted mine. The ability to produce Thaliasite could be an economic gamechanger, and the combine is not above engineering a little accident if it means not only reclaiming their former property but also buying out the disgraced alchemist's formulas. If the party finds them out, the combine might just be willing to cut them in for a percentage, maybe make them overseers in their newly revitalized enterprise.
One of the miners the party ends up rescuing is a woman half conscious after getting caught in the shrapnel from the Thaliasite's explosive growth. After some weeks of recovery she rises from her sickbed and begins after asking the party. Apparently having shards of divinely attuned crystal stuck in her greymatter has gotten her in touch with the goddess, who uses her impromptu oracle to tell the party of a trial awaiting them in the near future.

The co-host (Alastor x FemReader) V
< >
Summary: You are Alastors Co host in life, perhaps more. But are separated by a sudden death. When you are finally reunited in the under world, it is up to Alastor to figure out why you don’t remember him.
@cannibalcoyote @kahlan170 @sugxryratz
_______________𖤐
It seemed like the broadcasts had ended their torment over the pentagram. Remaining completely silent for almost a week now. Y/n had noticed this too, thinking that maybe he was being genuine. They had kept their meetups public, for her safety and peace of mind. Mainly at coffee shops around her warehouse. They adventured a little further today, to cannibal town. Only agreeing because it was nearby to a place she had to meet her boss that day.
"So, your boss is quite a well known sin?" He asked, lifting his dark coffee to his lips and bowing the steam off the surface. She nodded, sipping at hers. "How did that come about?"
She shrugged in return "Guess I accidentally sold my soul" She said, sarcasm clawing at her tone. He hummed, unsatisfied with his answer. "Do you like your job?" He was grasping at straws now. The question tickled her, unable to contain her laughter.
"Do i come across as a particularly content individual?" She chuckled. Wiping an invisible tear from her eye. "I work against my will. If it was up to me I'd... I don't know, write. Or broadcast the news." He saw a light in her, like the light he saw all those years ago. She is still in there.
She looked down at her watch, gasping and standing abruptly. His ears twitched as the chair screeched backwards against the concrete., and looked at her waiting for an answer to the deviant behavior. "I was supposed to meet him at the abandoned office block in five minutes" She struggles to put her coat on, one of the arms of it being inside out. He watched her struggle, amused, leaning on his hands. "What you looking at?" she huffs.
"Need a little assistance?"
"I can put a coat on!" She bites back. He shrugs, clicking his fingers and dragging both of them into their shadows on the ground. Reappearing outside the abandoned building. "I could have done that" Y/n rolls her eyes, shoving the rest of her arm into the sleeve.
"I'm aware, but I want to see this oh so powerful being" He adjusted the tie atop his ironed suit. "How do I look?"
She turns to look at him, stress showing in the veins on their forehead. "You're not coming to a meeting with me. If you want me to trust you, leave. Please" Her face softened to a more desperate pleading expression. Making him submissive to her, and agreeing. "I will wait out here for you, darling" He smiled, receiving a smile back as she begins moving towards the door with nothing more to say.
Satan enjoyed quieter areas, giving him more space to think. Less people to deal with was an ideal world for him. He went to seat himself on an old chair, before it gave out. Nearly ending with him on the floor. Glad no one was there to see that, he dusted himself off and resorted to leaning on his staff instead. The door creaked open before him, dust circulating the room like air flow.
"You're on time. Interesting..." His voice rumbled through the room, stirring old dirt, making the ceiling drop old paint onto the floor. She shut the door behind her, not moving an inch towards him. "Your numbers dropped for a while. I see they are being picked back up. You may have just saved your soul"
"What soul" She mumbled under her breath "What?" "Nothing!"
He stood up straight, adjusting his posture, and striding towards the demon. "Don't let it happen again" His presence hovered above her, eyes scared to be taken off his. "I can't replace you as easily as every other soul, but that doesn't mean that i won't" A hand fell to her chin, his calloused fingers pulling at her face to move closer to him.
Just outside the room stood Alastor. Listening in, It might be important, he thought.
"Don't let me down, or I'll remind you of all the reasons of why you wiped your own memory" His lips spoke next to her ear, finishing his sentence with a hollow laugh. "I will be back in a month" and with that, his body melted away to the bone until there was nothing left. He had left her in the discomfort of her own skin, alone, almost fragile. She felt as if she could follow him into the ground and flow away forever. But that wasn't the case. Whatever she had forgotten was obviously bad, since she erased her own memory. So the last thing she wanted was to be haunted by them all over again.
Alastor, on the other side of the wall, struggled to maintain a smile. Wide eyes like he had been stabbed in the back multiple times. She erased her own memory? Of him? Perhaps she found out what he was and couldn't bare the thought of seeing him again. His heart ached.
"Alastor" A startled voice came from the door frame "I thought you said you'd stay outside" Y/n sounded almost angry, too exhausted to portray any emotion other than fatigue. He stared at her blanky, still showing a face of hurt. His smile wanting to drop, but looking at if there was rope physically holding it up.
"I'm... sorry" He mumbled, static dropping from his voice completely. "I will see you some other time."
He vanished. Leaving her, once again, alone. Truly alone this time. "Alastor?" Y/n questioned. Genuinely calling out for him. What did he hear that upset him that much. He looked hurt. She never thought she'd see that emotion in his eyes before.
Days passed, no site of him. She had seen him everyday for weeks now. A few days, she even stayed out late in sketchy alley ways. Hoping he might show to scare her. She missed him, but she wouldn't admit it. She even thought she saw him in the corner of her eye on countless occasions. Some part of her was screaming to trust him, and the overlord in her was telling her to keep a look out.
He will show up eventually, she thought, he's just busy with cannibal stuff.
In a glaring radio tower on the other side of the pentagram, Alastor stared at the rotting city below him. Feet kicked up on the sound board in front of him, a coffee in his hands, pondering. He convinced himself that he should stay away, but he missed y/n oh so much. It was difficult. He had sent his shadow to watch over her, make sure no one was giving her any grief.
"So, is this your murder chamber?" That familiar voice came from behind him, sounding very concerned. He almost spun off his chair, whipping his head to see her.
"How did you find me?"
"I wish i could say it was my amazing detective skills, but i had help" She shrugged, looking at the moving shadow that was connected at his feet once more, giving his owner a sheepish grin. Alastor tutted, shaking his head. "I wanted to know why you ran away? I haven't seen you in days"
He bit his tongue, struggling to think of the right thing to say.
"My apologies, Miss l/n" He started off.  "I have very conflicted feelings, i suppose. I guess you could say that... I'm worried that who I was in life scared off someone very dear to me." He tried to laugh, but it turned into more of a whimper of distress.
She stood awkwardly with hands behind their back for a second, but as he spoke, y/n found themselves moving closer to him. Looking at him with sad eyes. "Did something I say-"
"I just had a moment, darling, I'm fine." He cut her off, exaggerating his smile to sway her questions. He turned in his seat, facing the large window overlooking hell.
"If they truly loved you..." Y/n moved closer, standing just behind his seat. "I'm sure they could get over it. No one is perfect" her hand creeped onto his shoulder, sharing the same view with him.
"You think so?" His heart dropped for a second, as if she was confessing her love for him. He could only dream that was the case.
"I do"
"Thank you, Y/n"

*NSFW* I'm Alive (Yandere!Monster x GN!Reader)
CW: Dead Dove, dub-con, death, gore, inhuman anatomy, sexual non-sexual penetration, mind control, angst, you have been warned
Breathing hurt.
His entire body convulsed as he inhaled, the writhing mass that was his body cracked and groaned as it pulsed. He was once a man, though he no longer remembered much of his previous life. There was a torso emerging from the ball of flesh that was his lower half, and sometimes when he closed his eyes he could recall owning a pair of legs; but now he was just an abomination.
Trapped under the earth in what seemed to be the ruins of a temple or some kind of forgotten catacombs, he spent his days lying in a corner, eating the rats that came and tried to devour his body that reeked of decay.
Sometimes, he dreamt. There is a dream of a building called a "church", where a woman would clasp her hands together and speak to an invisible man. She called it prayer, and told him if he prays then her god will answer, but whenever he awoke and interlocked his red, skinless fingers together, the woman's god never granted him death.
Death never comes, nor does relief.
There was only rot, and pain, and rats.
Each and every day. He didn't know how he knew, because he hadn't seen the sun since becoming a monster, but he knew that there was such thing as a sun, and a sky, and that the day changed to night, which would become weeks, then years. And he knew that he has been down there for a very long time.
Then, one day, there was light.
And God granted him his relief.
.................................
The group of adventurers broke through the sealed entrance to the abandoned tower. It once stretched all the way to the heavens, but had sunk into the dirt centuries ago. Half of the excited group were thrill seeking scholars, willing to put their lives on the line to uncover the secrets of the Inverted Tower, and the other half were monster slaying treasure hunters, investigating the ancient rumors of forgotten relics. Among them was (Reader), a hero unknown.
The dreams began when they were just a child. Dreams of a man begging them not to leave, falling to his knees as the walls crumbled around the two and the familiar stranger's skin peeled off like cracking paint. A nun in the dreams would assure (Reader) that it wasn't their fault. But it hurt. It was too much for a child to see. Seeing themselves, but not themselves, a body foreign yet undeniably their own, reliving the moment when they chained a man to the floor, then locked the door and left him to die.
Now they stood at a hole in the ground: the magnet of fate pulling them into a place they felt would be identical to their dreams.
And they were right.
The halls seemed to be persevered by magic, dirty and dusty, but still fairly untouched by the erosion of time. Landing onto the top floor was like dropping into one of their dreams. Memories from someone else invaded (Reader's) mind, and forced them to recall things they never experienced before.
Adopted by the Tower of God, (Reader) was proud to have been chosen amongst all of the other orphans. Their skills were unmatched, as was their intellect. Only six years old, and the magical talent scouts had determined that they had what it took to learn to be a great warrior for 'The Cause'.
There was another child around (Reader's) age that had been adopted from a different country. He looked like an angel, with gold hair and eyes so clear and blue that they looked like the sky.
The floor shook dangerously as the group worked their way to the stairs. A healer tried to hold (Reader) back, concern filling his face. "You look really pale, do you need to sit down?"
"We literally just entered!" A thug stage whispered, nervous to make any loud noises. No one knew what was in the tower, but there had been many stories about monsters and demons. Some said that the devil himself pulled the tower into the earth out of jealousy towards God.
"I'm fine.." (Reader) wiped the sweat off their forehead with the back of their hand. "I'm just getting a weird sense of deja vu..."
The children entered the tower's chapel hand in hand. It was nearly empty, save for a nun kneeling before a terrifying statue of a cloaked figure. Despite wearing a habit, she was an unusual looking nun, with her eyebrows shaved off and tattoos visible from under her hood.
"Welcome, children." She gave a small smile, one that seemed more tired than welcoming.
"You look weird." The golden boy gripped (Reader's) arm tighter.
A genuine laugh erupted sharply, startling the kids. "I am a clerical nun."
"What's that?"
She revealed her hands to the small orphans before her. Sparkling light rose from her fingers like snowflakes falling backwards.
"The God that I serve gives me power. Power to cleanse the world of evil." The statue looming above the trio felt as though it heard her mention it; it's presence darkening and suffocating (Reader). "You were chosen because your souls glow stronger than most.. God has blessed you both."
"All you have to do is pray.."
An axe slashed through an attacking bat. Only on the 112th floor and the group had already began to run into creatures from the beyond. Lesser evils such as minion bats and living slime charged the group as ferociously as possible, mad with hunger. As they continued on, a growing affection for the young boy bloomed within (Reader's) heart, reliving someone else's journey of friendship and love, with a terrifying sense of anxiety. Each new remembrance of secret handholding and hushed murmurs behind closed doors gave (Reader) a rush of dopamine, but also made them fearful to continue. They knew there was a memory they didn't want to uncover; one that would connect to the dreams they've had since forever, and it scared them.
On the edge of puberty, (Reader) and the Boy could feel that something within them was changing, but being raised by a guild of monster hunters left them without the basic learnings of what was happening to their bodies and minds. The two were surrounded by loving adults who cared for the orphans like family, but continued to isolate themselves as they grew, relying on each other in secret more and more.
The two hid under the blanket, sharing a bed long after it was time for lights out. (Reader) held onto the Boy's slightly clammy hand, repeating a prayer in their head for God to make their heart stop hurting. It was as though they were allergic to their best friend and brother. Whenever he looked into their eyes they felt a tidal wave of emotion so intense it nearly brought them to tears. However, at the same time they couldn't leave his side. They wanted to hug him so tightly that his body would melt into their's.
"I don't like Mother Lillian." The Boy whispered through pouting lips. "She keeps making us take our lessons apart from each other."
"Haha. That's because you refuse to do your work when we sit together." (Reader) knocked their forehead against his lightly.
In the black of their room, they couldn't see the Boy's face blushing, so they assumed that the heat they felt was coming from their own cheeks.
"Schoolwork is boring... I'd rather spend time with you."
The thing on the ground floor could smell his salvation. That prayer he had mumbled in incoherent words for decades was finally heard by his God. A person who's name he hadn't forgotten despite his language skills diminishing to nothing but grunts and groans had finally come for him. He would no longer be alone.
A horrifying sound of flesh ripping echoed throughout the corridor as he tore his body away from the wall he had begun to fuse to. It was agony, dragging his living corpse across the floor, but he knew that it would all be worth it.
Soon.
(Reader's) talent for the arcane accelerated, like a snowball gently tumbling into an avalanche. Praise and recognition were no strangers to the young teen, but as their recognition grew they were kept apart from their best friend for longer and longer intervals. While it hurt to be away from him, the genius had no idea the absolute trauma the separation was inflicting on him.
Mother Lillian held her bleeding forehead, tears falling not for herself, but for the young man she saw as her own son. The Boy stood above her with a candlestick holder raised high above his head, ready to swing again. This was the scene (Reader) interrupted, lashing out on instinct with a holy light, hoisting their best friend off his feet with a frantic wave of their hand. "STOP!"
Blood continued dripping from the tattooed cleric as her aging body was pulled into her other child's arms. It wasn't a deadly strike, but a second surely would have ended her. She was powerful, but took a vow long ago to only use her magic against evil, so even having her brow split open she refused to defend herself, because that would mean that she thought her adopted son was evil.
And even though he didn't believe it, she did love him.
"It's all her fault! She won't let us be together! She's keepING YOU AWAY FROM ME!!"
Moisture sweat from the walls.
The heat was becoming unbearable. Cooling potions were being consumed in fairly consistent dosages as the party descended. But it wasn't the earth's core, nor the presence of hell itself that caused (Reader's) fever.
They could still feel the sting of betrayal when they threw their best friend off of their mother.
"No.. that wasn't me.." the hero wobbled on their feet, fingernails clawing at their scalp.
A clay vase nearly toppled as (Reader) clipped their hip on the corner of the little table it was resting on.
They could see the Boy watching them from behind the ugly vase, and it made their stomach feel strange. His shoulders had grown wide and his chest broad. The Boy no longer looked like a boy, and (Reader) couldn't block out the odd, scary new feelings they had for him.
"STOP!!" (Reader) took off, slamming their face into a wall with a force loud enough to draw the attention of skeletons.
Said monsters hobbled closer to the group of panicking adventurers, drawing the attention of the dizzy and confused hero, who recognized the tatters draping the undeads' bones immediately.
Clerical wizards and holy people smiled at the young adult knowingly as they tried to explain, with all seriousness, the illness plaguing their body whenever their "brother" was near.
"Calm down!" The healer begged, trying to cool the panicking person down.
"No! You should all be in heaven! Why are you here?!"
Why am I here?
Whispers seeped out of the door to the Boy's room, whispers the jealous cleric-in-training on the other side did not recognize. Unable to contain their envy, (Reader) burst into the room, only to see their exhausted blonde friend standing alone in the center.
"[•••••], who were you talking to?" They demanded, eyes narrowed and shaking. At hearing his own name his cloudy eyes widened, accentuating the bags hanging heavy underneath.
"I was just praying.." His arms engulfing his angry "friend" instantly dowsed their fire, almost hypnotizing them with his touch into forgetting that they thought they had heard a second voice. "If I'm.. If I can be as strong as you, then we'll be able to spend more time together, right?"
Your God wasn't listening, so I found a new one.
As (Reader) remembered a life that wasn't their own, so did the abomination from the basement.
Each floor that their bodies drew closer also brought back pieces of their souls; souls that could only exist together.
He came to me, and offered me a deal.
The Man woke his old friend when the sun wasn't close to rising, climbing over their body under their blankets. As soon as their lips parted to question his actions, his tongue was in their mouth.
With no light to guide them the two kissed passionately and without experience. They didn't know what they were doing, just that they needed to feel one another.
(Reader) greedily grabbed the sides of his face to pull him closer, legs shifting to feel his body against their own, instantly stopping at the realization that his face was wet under their palms.
"[•••••]?" They tried to pull back as he leaned in, trapping them against their pillows. What they first thought to be tears was too warm and thick to be water. Roughly pushing him back, (Reader) illuminated the small space with magic, frightened.
Blood leaked down and smeared across his cheeks as [•••••]'s bloated, red eyes were on the verge of popping.
"Shit, we finally got passed them!" The barbarian wheezed out. "Those boney bastards were fucking tough, no thanks to you!" He directed that last part to the nearly comatose hero being supported by the healer.
"no.."
The young magic user barely heard the sick patient whimper. They had been muttering gargles of nonsense for a few levels, so it was worrying seeing them lucid and frightened; eyes round of scared, pointing at the door the barbarian was about to open with all their strength, shaking. "No..."
"Why were they so tough..?"
The door swung open with a loud bang, and a tendril shot through, piercing the barbarian's skull and splattering the scholar behind him in brain matter.
"He had made a pact with a devil."
A man bubbling alive screamed in agony as he attempted to tear off his hands to rid himself of the holy chains keeping him tethered to the floor.
Mother Lillian made an audible sound of pain as she choked back her feelings. Years of meditation and worship, and she could not keep a stoic face despite this being her job. So many exorcisms she performed. So many monsters she'd slain.
But this was her son.
"We can exer-"
"We have already tried that." (Reader) felt their world shatter. "This was a contract, not a possession."
A paladin in golden armor offered a sorrowful expression that seemed genuine. "The only thing we can do is to put him out of his misery."
"No!" They cried out, attempting to launch themselves at the godly man as their grieving mother held them tighter to her chest. "Let me see him, please! I can talk to him! Convince him to give up the name of the devil, so we can hunt it down and save his soul!"
"That's-" The paladin was cut off by Mother Lillian's icy glare. That was a long shot. Not only would it be a reckless waste of human life to hunt down a devil for one man, said man was delirious, borderline demented. There was no reasoning with him.
Bloody holes where eyes once sat welcomed (Reader) as they entered the cellar prison.
Without his sight, he could still see. He saw with scent and sound. The sound of their blood rushing through their veins made their shape, and the natural odor of (Reader's) sweat identified the body. He smiled, another tooth falling out as he did so, joining the wet pile on the floor.
"(Reader)~.."
"Tell me the name of the devil you serve." They kept their voice even and still, despite the quake rattling their spine.
"You came for me~ Just like he said!~" A pop ended his sentence, one of his arms dislocating as he pulled on the chains to get closer.
"Just like who said?" (Reader) fell to one knee, leaning in as closely and as they safely as they could. "Please, tell me the name of the devil you made a contract with."
"And now you'll love me!" He squealed.
"I want to save you!" (Reader) grabbed his shoulders but was instantly repelled, throwing themselves away and back towards the door. His skin had slipped off and stuck to their fingers. "Please, please just tell me!"
"God made me strong so you would love me!"
(Reader) turned to run out.
"Wait. Where are you going?" His voice almost sounded like his own again. It pulled (Reader's) hand away from the handle.
"I need to hunt down the devil that did this to you." Their voice trembled, barely containing their tears.
".. what?" The smile was gone as more skin stripped off the decaying body. "No?"
The pain was beginning to return. It had left when his love entered, but now that they were threatening to leave.
"You can't leave? No! NO!" His face tore as he slammed his skull down onto the floor. "Don't leave me! You need to love me! Please don't go!"
Corpses lay around the detached person slowly coming to terms with their apparent reincarnation. They knew they never returned to that tower in their previous life. They spent their entire life searching for the devil that stole their first love's soul, and died bleeding out on a battlefield, forgotten by history and remembered by no one. Unknown to them, the tower with their forgotten family did not carry on their legacy, for it had sunk while they were searching and they had simply never heard the news.
Perhaps, there were no gods, only devils. Because even the most righteous people to have ever lived were damned to wander the tower as the undead instead of passing over to the afterlife. It wasn't fair.
(Reader) gazed up at the tumorous creature that had massacred their party with glassy eyes. The name they couldn't recall during their entire discovery of their past life rolled off their tongue as they reached out for him-
"Ydenn."
A language no longer spoken by a people that no longer lived; suddenly the language (Reader) had known their entire life was replaced by something much older.
Skinless hands grabbed (Reader) gently and raised them to eye level. "(Reader).."
He called them by their past name, bruising their hips under his fingers. (Reader) briefly worried that they were about to die, that all these years alone Ydenn thought they had abandoned him, and that all he desired for all these years was revenge.. but instead he pulled them close, smashing his face against theirs in a mock kiss.
Without lips his gums rubbed painfully against their lips, but it felt just as hungry and desperate as their first kiss under the covers. (Reader's) body may have felt different in his arms, but he knew it was them.
They parted their lips for his invading tongue, now longer and monstrous, it moved like a writhing worm inside their cheeks before pressing itself down their throat, pulsating and hot. Ydenn's hands tore off their top, effortlessly going through multiple layers to feel their bare skin against his raw muscles. He sat their body on his mound of flesh, unable to think of anything other than becoming one with them.
A bright light filled (Reader's) vision as their pants were removed, suddenly replacing the horrific scene with a pleasant dream. Lying in the bed they owned well over a century ago, Ydenn held them under his naked body, face red and glossy from his crying baby blues. "I finally have you again." With a wide smile he kissed them again, smiling harder when they eagerly reciprocated.
They pulled back just to say "I tried to save your soul, Ydenn! I'm sorry I never came back, I'm sorry for dying!"
Just like the angel (Reader) remembered him to be, his face cracked under the weight of his joy, hearing his love babble underneath him as though they were nervous of his feelings. "You came back for me~"
"I'm sorry it took so long." Now (Reader) was also smiling through tears. "I'm sorry I never told you.. that.. that I already loved you!"
(Reader) could feel his erection press against their thigh and willingly opened their legs, making room for him.
Ydenn's heavy pants hit their ear as he dropped his face into the crook of their neck, caressing his dick with one hand as he rubbed its tip between their legs. "Tell me you want to become one with me."
Shivers pimpled their skin in anticipation as they looked down between their bodies at his swollen cock. "I want to become one with you."
There was a searing pain that pieced (Reader's) core.
With a blink the dream was gone, and (Reader) was back facing the skinless half living corpse; a thick tendril made of gore and once-human meat penetrating their stomach.
Vomit and blood spat out across their chest as the throbbing entity began thrusting in and out of the wound it created. Their eyes gave away their shock at the treachery. The wound was too deep and too sudden; the immediate pain was already gone, and they felt numb from the waist down.
"Yd-Ydenn?" They choked on his name, but the gurgle of blood went unnoticed by him. Just hearing his name spurred him on. His teeth scraped against theirs as he began violently fucking the hole he had created. The tendril raped their abdomen like a prehensile penis while his hands ground their urine soaked groin against the growth that was his lower half. Each slap of their bodies bore the wound deeper, spraying blood and mulched intestine.
Between slaps were images of that dream, almost within (Reader's) grasp. They could almost feel pleasure, as they imagined running their hands through his hair as he pounded them into their bed.
They could hear the bed creaking against the hard wood floor as they reached their orgasm, excitedly moaning as they spasmed under his crushing pelvis. (Reader) could feel something building within them, threatening to pop as his dick slammed into something inside of them perfectly.
Just as it was spilling out, the rush of a climax vibrating their system, a loud thunk brought them back to their bloody reality.
Their glazed eyes lulled to the side to find the source of the loud sound.
(Reader's) severed bottom half lay on the floor, only attached to their torso by the stretched out intestines and leaky organs barely holding on.
The disembowelment of his lover didn't seem to phase the monster, still making love to them as more smaller, wriggling pieces of flesh penetrated (Reader).
They could feel the tendril writhe up into their chest, and wondered how they weren't dead yet. It rubbed itself against their heart, leaking an inhuman precum against their weakly beating organ. Through the black goop they thought they could see blue irises smiling back at them with happy tears.
"I love you, (Reader)."
Hot fluid splashed up into their brain as he came inside of their nearly hollowed out cavity, then the world went black.
There was a creature at the bottom of the tower, that no adventurer dared to attack. It never killed unprovoked, but it's kill rate was perfect.
It was a strange creature, a large ball of rotting chunks of human meat, held together by dark magic. Out of the tumor like creature sprouted two torsos, one more decayed than the other, and they were often seen embracing one another, creating ungodly sounds that echoed throughout the entire tower.
Though they forgot how to speak and see, their names never each other's mouths, repeating them over and over to one another without end. They had no need for sleep, nor rest. It was as though they forgot they needed to eat and even breathe.
They only needed each other.

That last Indy blurb you reblogged, and oh boy.. oh boy… all I could think of is Indy making you ride the end of his whip. making you rub your wet little pussy all over the handle of it for him.
salivating... foaming at the mouth... creaming my pants
this post is 18+, minors dni.
Indiana is nothing if not a massive tease. He knows you're desperate for him, knows he couldn't lose you out in the jungle if he tried, so when you rest your chin over his shoulder, he doesn't give in.
"Not now, sweetheart," He drawls, thumbing through the pages of his notebook like it's more important than your aching pussy, "I'm busy."
"Indy," You whimper, sounding all too bratty as you scoff at his work, "Come on, all we've seen today is dirt. Aren't I a little more important?"
His brows raise, and he fixes you with a look that's part amusement, part incredulity.
"More important? These are historic archaeological discoveries, princess, you don't think that takes precedence over a quick fuck?"
"If it's gonna be quick you won't mind putting the journal away for a bit," You decide, throwing a leg over his thigh. You're purposefully naked beneath your nightgown, the safety of your tent the perfect place to prepare for your night. Despite the lustful call of your hot cunt against his leg, he pushes further, trying to see just how far he can go before you'll beg for it.
"Hey- hey," He gripes, one hand on your hip to hold you from getting any further, "I said I was busy, you little minx. You can wait."
"I don't want to wait," You huff, "Just- fuck me, Indy!"
You've done it. You've said the magic words, you've laid all of your cards on the table, you've guessed the password correctly.
"Well," He pretends to consider, "I could use my fingers. But I really need to work on this."
You know damn well he'll abandon his scholarly facade the second your legs spread. You're playing each other like tense snakes, not sure who'll sink their fangs into the other first.
"I need more than your fingers," You brace your hands on his upper thigh, squeezing more than you need to, "I want your cock, Indy."
"No can do, sweetheart," He grins lazily, all too proud of himself for his restraint. Truthfully, he's already hardening in his pants, the fabric stretching tight over a bulge you're both pretending like you can't see. It's better that way, if you pretend he's not chubbing up and you're not already hot against his thigh. It's better to pretend you don't care, to build the frustration inside until you snap and it floods you both.
"I'm busy. If you want something thicker than my fingers, you'll have to use my whip."
It's a throwaway suggestion, an absurd way of telling you you're in for a long night of teasing. That you're going to have to work for what you want. But you're more than intrigued by it, eyeing the thick leather handle that's mounted on his belt.
"Okay." You catch him off guard with your sense of adventure, and something flickers in his eyes. He muscles it down from his face, though, keeping his smirk tight over his cheeks.
"Okay? That's it? You're gonna fuck it?"
"I'm not waiting around all day," You scoff, taking the leather handle from his belt and sticking it in his non-dominant hand as you settle between his thighs. You've got your back against his chest, and you drag his hand between your legs.
"I'll hold the journal," You brace your hand against its pages, keeping is steady, "You can still write, Indy."
He's a little slow to process the situation, so you groan, "Well come on, fuck me! I thought you were busy, now you're just wasting- time!"
Without warning, Indiana drives the thick, leather girth of his whip into your cunt. It's abrupt, and if you hadn't been steadily producing slick at the condescending tone of his voice the entire time, it would hurt. But it's nothing more than an initial sting, and he laughs in that same cocky tone.
"You brat," He spits, like it's a curse word, "You pitch a big fit about getting fucked like I'm not taking care of you. You're greedy, y'know that? Can't handle a day without a dick in you, y'gotta fuck yourself all over whatever you can get. Is this what you wanted?" He drags the whip in and out of your cunt, marveling at the slick smeared over it, "You wanted to fuck my whip? You're a nasty little thing."
"Oh, shut up," You huff, face turned against his tanned neck. You nip at a spot beneath the hinge of his jaw and you feel his chest swell as he draws a heaving breath in, "You can talk as much shit as you want, Indy, I- ah!" You writhe back against him as he steadily fucks the handle of his whip into your soaked cunt, "I feel you getting hard. I know you like it."
"You're pathetic," He manages to spit through clenched teeth as you suck bruises into his neck. He's right, you're desperate for whatever you can get inside of you and he loves it, he loves watching your cunt suck his whip in like it's his cock.
"And you're not working anymore," You point out that his pen has been long-since discarded, his fist now clenched atop the pages of his journal, "So why don't you cut the bullshit and just fuck me, Indiana."
"Well," He pants, a wry grin taking his features by storm as he wrestles to both lay you down and maneuver himself on top of you. Once he's hovering above you, hairline already gathering glistening sweat as he tries controlling his lust-fueled movements, he smirks down at you, cherishing the feeling of your hands prying at his belt to release his achingly-hard cock, "Since you asked so nicely, sweetheart."

Greetings!
Scattered around the icy mountains are old settlements that have been abandoned for years. The adventurers are lucky enough to have found one of such settlements.
They decide to use one of the abandoned buildings to set up camp, try to get away from the biting cold from a little bit. Everything seems quiet, a meal is prepared and everyone seems to enjoy this moment of rest.
But then the warrior on guard duty notices something. In the ice, something moving. The hero runs to their friends to warn them.
What sort of monstrosity will they find outside? And when will they be able to finally get some well-deserved rest?

Some characters in the Cyberpunk au (part 1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I tried to make Echo and Zane more robot-like since robots are pretty much treated like people regardless of their appereance. And Garmadon's design is from when the rgb are kids so he's younger (he's not an Oni in this au).
Characters details from within the story:
Echo
Echo is created by a younger Julien (like in his 30s) as a test run for his project to build himself an assistant to deal with his chronic disease, which, despite not being deadly per se, it could still leave him impaired in the long run and therefore he needed some sort of safe net just in case.
But sadly, the prototype's AI ends up being deficient for his purpose as he is not able to process neither human emotions nor their needs, so after much deliberation, Julien decides to set him free rather than letting him collect dust in his storage.
However, Echo could not fit into the city's human society either, as people would not accept his strange speech nor behavior. This eventually culminated in an assault by one of the problematic gangs that sprouted up after the crisis, where they thrashed the helpless robot relentlessly and even managed to damage his voice module. He then was trashed out to the Outside, and from there, mauled and hopeless, he wandered aimlessly and without a purpose in life for a long time.
But at one point through his senseless journey, he stumbled upon a couple of abandoned kids crying in the middle of the woods. Even though he did not understand what their tears meant, he was curious, so from then on he started acting as their guardian.
Thanks to them, slowly but surely he began to learn about human emotions and, as he could only do little beeps to communicate, he also figured out a way to communicate without words. Although sometimes he was still lacking as a caregiver, he worked hard to develop the necessary skills to look after their (newly discovered) basic human needs, like fishing and hunting. He even takes a third kid in after Kai and Nya find another lost boy in the woods and convince him to keep him.
As they grow, he also begins to teach them how to be self-sufficient, because he is painfully aware that he would never be capable of being a better parent due to his poor programming. It is in this context when, years later when Echo finds a potential job opportunity as the ferryman to the city, the RGB urge him to take the chance, knowing that he wants to work to feel more useful and wanting to have more solo adventures.
Even though he was reluctant to leave them behind, he is now the happiest he's ever been and still looks after his children whenever they need him (even going so far as to risk his job) out of his gratitude for granting him another chance in his doomed life.
Ronin
Currently retired, he used to be a renowned mercenary and bounty hunter in his youth. However, he gradually gained more and more enemies and got himself into more and more dangerous trouble (which is why he’s a full cyborg now), until eventually, battered and grown past the age of peak physical strength, he decided to quit to save his ass.
From then on, he started looking after the demon children around the most miserable parts of their struggling segregated neighborhood in exchange for minor treasure hunts; this is why he is now protected from his remaining enemies, as many of them grew up to become members of some of the local gangs (also as an added bonus Garmadon is a pretty ominous legend and people are kind of afraid of hurting demons because of him, but more on that later).
Although he lives rather isolated from the rest of society because of his (extensive) criminal record, he still manages to make ends meet with the treasures he got from all his exploits and the profits of the little side quests he tasks the children in exchange for his care.
No he’s not charity, he’s a wine uncle, but he is an asshole to everyone (especially humans) except the kids. In fact, even though he does not give out help for free, he always ends up rewarding them with his teachings and advice and about life on top of the food and shelter, so almost every child he's taken under his wing ends up becoming pretty competent to face the harsh society they live in.
And in particular, he grows to like the RGB a lot because he recognizes their wit and appreciates how cunning they can be, sometimes even negotiating with him and being capable enough to uno reverse his little tricks on the kids like they are equals (for example, Nya stealing her brother’s bionic eye blueprints to avoid being totally dependant on Ronin for maintenance).
In fact, later on when Nya introduces him to Jay (a human) to be his apprentice as a mechanic, she somehow convinces him despite his hate for his kind.
Bonus: when he meets Jay at first he’s irritated at him because he takes his fear and shyness as racism, but the kid is just intimidated by the sassy cyborg (don't worry, eventually he figures it out and the child grows on him, Jay is too cute).
(I will talk about Jay in my next post dw)
Zane (24NE)
He’s the successful final product of Julien’s project, a kind and refined assistance nindroid knowledgeable in human care. His role is very important to him, so when his father died he lost all purpose in life and, unable to deal with his grief on top of that existential crisis, he became depressed and stagnant, trapped in his own mind inside his creator’s abandoned home and slowly wasting away due to his mental stress and a lack of maintenance now that nobody could look after him.
And he stayed in that sorry state until the RGB found the house and, upon looting it for supplies, Nya stumbled upon the nindroid lying dormant next to Julien’s bed. When she wakes him up, his rusty voice module is damaged and he can’t speak properly (Julien is shit at making those apparently), so she repairs it as best as she can and as a result, he eventually becomes their friend.
Although they were wary at first, they understood his situation, and in the end they decided to help him by introducing him to Doctor Rashid (an oc) to learn more about biology and medicine.
Speaking of, I’ll talk more about Dr. Rashid in another future post but basically he’s an oc of mine I inserted in this au, a friend of Kai and Nya’s and sort of a parental figure.
Garmadon
He is an elusive red-eyed demon, the rarest of his kind, and a criminal brought to legendary status. Now vanished and rarely ever seen amongst the city shadows, he used to be an undefeatable wandering warrior. He would spread chaos everywhere he went and, along the way, he would mercilessly murder anyone opposed to the Demon’s Rights movement.
However, one day he disappeared suddenly from the face of the earth. But his legacy carries on to this day: he is feared universally, considered an antihero by his followers and a bloodthirsty criminal by the rest.
A few months after his disappearance, though, a human woman named Misako gave birth to a demon child with ominous red eyes. Soon, people started making the connection and his mother, who by that point had developed a deep hatred towards demons, was put under such public scrutiny that she ended up abandoning him on the Outside to leave behind the city and her trauma along with it.
Sadly for Garmadon, it was too late when he finally learned that he had a son. He’d left Misako pregnant without either of them knowing, and after he was gone she had been unable to reach him. For that reason, when he came back to the city years later and at last he found out, in the end he decided to let Lloyd be with his new family, as he he realized he had no right to take him in after being absent the entirety of his short life when he already had the two loving siblings looking after him.
After that, he turned back to his wandering, and he was barely ever seen again.

~
-You had been born on Pandora after the war ended and were too young to be sent back to Earth to your other family, so you had to stay on the foreign planet.
-Norm and Max had been raising you since your parents passed away, and by being their adoptive child, you had been in the presence of Jake Sully and his family your whole life. While your adoptive dads were busy in the lab doing who knows what, you were with the Sully family.
-Neytiri, surprisingly, didn’t take long to warm up to you since she had been present in your life since you were a baby that could fit in one of her hands. You were born after her youngest Tuk, and were so cute with the rest of the children, she couldn’t bring herself to dislike you.
-On top of that, all of her children loved you, you were like their baby sibling. Plus, you didn’t need the oxygen mask to go out into the forest with them. Norm and Max say it’s because your mother did experiments on herself when she was pregnant to give you the ability to breathe oxygen and Pandoran air.
-They were just happy that they didn’t have to work around the mask with you. It was much easier to have you enjoy meals with them that way.
-They had you sleep over at their home almost half of the nights in a week. And they had taken one of your favorite human blankets from the labs to keep you comfortable with them in the night.
-The whole family loved you and protected you with their whole being. And you loved them too. Even Mo’at was fond of you.
-You went on adventures with the other children on the days when they visited the labs, and spent time with Jake and Neytiri on the days where the children had other things to do. You had even spent a few days following Mo’at around and asking her all kinds of questions about navi and healing. And she was all too happy to carry you around with her and give you all the answers you wanted.
-Really, the whole village loved you, you were just so tiny, cute, kind, and curious. It was refreshing to have someone so lively with them.
You had discovered your friends, minus Neteyam, leaving to go on an adventure. Without you! So, you ran after them and asked where they were going. Lo’ak reluctantly told you they were going to explore the abandoned human buildings and look for things that were left behind.
You asked to go with them, and Kiri told you no. But you argued that Tuk was going, so you should be able to as well, stomping your tiny foot for emphasis.
They each looked at each other before deeply sighing and nodding. But Kiri told you that you could only be allowed to go if you stayed right by them the whole time, preferably being carried by her or Lo’ak on the way there and back, and close enough to touch once they got there. You just eagerly nodded before bouncing over to Kiri and reaching up to her to get picked up.
She just rolled her eyes before picking you up and cradling you to her chest. She kissed your cheek before motioning for her other siblings to continue on their way to the empty human thing.
-You and Tuk were excitedly talking to each other over her shoulder the whole way there. Her and Lo’ak just looked at each other and smiled before focusing on getting there again. It took them almost an hour of walking and searching to find what they were looking for.
-Once you all got there, you were set down before Kiri grabbed your hand. You walked around with her and looked at all of the dilapidated human things. It was cool to see, but you didn't like the energy in the place. You felt like something bad was going to happen.
You clutched Kiri’s hand as she walked through the building with her siblings and you. You went closer to her while looking at rooms filled with shadows. You faintly heard something in the distance, so you tugged on her hand, and reached up to her when she looked down at you. She picked you up and continued exploring with all of her siblings.
She noticed you kept looking over her shoulder, so she rubbed your back to try to calm you down while still walking with Lo’ak and Tuk. They quickly finished their walkthrough and exited the human building. They were discussing how underwhelming the experience was for their expectations when it happened.
Multiple navi in human clothing surrounded them and separated all of them, tying their arms behind their backs. The only woman there was the one to grab you, making you shout in pain from the rough grab.
-Every single one of the Sully children looked over at you when you shouted, each struggling to get to you.
-In the seconds it took the woman holding you to realize what you were, a tiny human child, she had shifted to just hold you in her arms. She didn’t exactly want to hurt you.
-The siblings are only slightly relaxed seeing you being held properly, though still not happy about the situation. They were calmer when the leader of the group, most likely, walked to the center of the little circle you guys were in.
-Once he got to the center of the group, he looked over all of the captured children, noting the human child with them. He just raised his eyebrows before looking at the other children.
-He went over to the weird navi holding Lo’ak and motioned them to raise his head, which they did by gripping his queue and tugging it down. He hissed at them in the process.
-He demanded that Lo’ak show him his hands, to which he put up both of his middle fingers. This made you giggle a little bit while the leader guessed at the siblings' father. Once the woman holding you looked at you for laughing you immediately stopped and looked down.
-She just huffed and looked back at her leader.
The man had successfully guessed their father and smirked at that information. He then snatched the earpiece from Lo’ak’s ear and talked to Jake through it. You were observing the whole scene with a frown and downturned brows, very confused and scared. You leaned towards where Kiri was closest to you, so the woman started holding you tighter than before. You whined at the firmer hold, about to start crying.
Kiri had looked over when she saw you reach for her. She was fuming mad seeing you about to cry because of these people. As she was about to say something, she heard a faint sound. When she heard it again, she instantly recognized it as her mother’s call. She tried to not look over where it was coming from, and saw her siblings doing the same. Except Tuk, who was looking right at where the sound was coming from. She just sighed before looking over at you again.
You were still holding a hand out to her, but now you had tears streaming down your face. You were quietly sniffling while trying to wedge your arm between you and the woman, not moving her at all for all your efforts.
-Kiri gave the coldest and hardest glare of her life to the woman, hoping her hatred was reaching her.
-Quaritch was looking at the interaction and thinking. He knew that the adults of the family would be near there by then, so he had to make a decision fast. He gathered that you were important to the family.
-As an arrow touched down by the group, he knew he had decided. He yelled to go, and to take you with them. The rest of his group nodded and started running. You being among them.
-At that action, you started loudly sobbing and reaching over the woman’s shoulder towards the people you knew. But they were already getting very far away, soon enough to far away to see. So, you laid your head on her shoulder and sobbed your little heart out.
…
-With the Sullys, they were all devastated. Not only were they targets again, but you were taken from them.
-Tuk had started crying from the whole situation, being comforted by Neytiri, while everyone else in the family was absolutely fuming. They couldn’t believe that those bastards had taken you. Jake just angrily sighed before leading his family back to their home.
-He realized he would have to let Norm and Max know what had happened to you once they got back as well. Though maybe he would wait until the morning so he could cool off a bit before talking to them.
They had all quietly made their way back into the village, not acknowledging anybody. They walked right into their home and silently started getting ready to go to sleep. The only interaction they had in this time was Neteyam carrying Tuk to be with him, and Jake and Neytiri having a silent conversation between each other. They all went to sleep together after their traumatic days events.
The night passed with no further issues.
Once they got up, they silently ate breakfast together, then Jake excused himself to go talk to Norm and Max. Although he walked slowly to the lab, he seemed to get there very quickly. He just deeply sighed before opening the door and walking inside.
Once he got inside he sought out the two scientists and found them pretty quickly, gently calling out to them to get their attention. Once they looked over he quietly said he needed to tell them something.
Hearing his tone they were very concerned and asked what was wrong. Jake, once again, sighed before explaining to them the events of the day before. Both of the men were shocked at the news, before quietly crying for their lost child. Jake shed a tear with them before promising that he would find her eventually, and kill off Quaritch once and for all when he does. The other men just nodded and gave Jake a light hug before sending him off and halting their work for the day to work out their emotions.
Jake wiped his tears as he was leaving the lab, then slowly walked back to the village to be with his remaining family. When he got there, he saw his dearest mate leaving Mo’at’s tent, having also broken the news to her this morning. By her face, he could tell it went about as good as his morning trip.
He just gently took her hand in his as they walked back to their home together, knowing their other children were still there waiting for them. They had a silent agreement to have a discussion with the whole family on what they want to do in the future.
-They got back to their home quickly and gathered their family together once they were inside. They explained that they were going to try to find you and eliminate the humans, but couldn’t do that alone.
-Jake suggested that their family visit multiple other clans to build relationships and allies among them, along with using their time there to try looking for you.
-Neytiri and the kids weren’t happy about potentially leaving the forest for that long of a time to build relationships that are strong. They didn’t want to leave their home.
-Jake understood, but a leader needs the support of their family. And the other clans need to see that support as well.
-No one was happy about it, but agreed to the plan in the end. They knew it was for the best, as well as having a higher chance of finding you faster. They all voiced their agreement before talking for the rest of the day on the order they would visit the other clans.
-It was decided that they would visit the reef clans first, to get the help of all of the navi in the water, as it was one of the biggest assets to have in a potential war.
-Once it was decided, they all cuddled together and went to sleep, as they would be doing all of the preparations for their journey the next day, and leaving the day after.
…
-Meanwhile with you, you were having possibly the worst time of your life.
-Not only were you not with anyone you know, but these people hate the ones you love! They keep talking about ‘eliminating’ Jake Sully. Which makes you very upset.
-Plus you’re very bored since they don’t make any effort to keep you entertained. They just have you with them constantly, talking about their ‘missions’. You were getting tired of it, and it’s only been one full day!
-Maybe you were being a bit dramatic, but it felt deserved. You were just slumped on top of the table they set you on, looking around at all of them doing their things. Bored out of your mind.
-You saw the hairless one coming towards you, seemingly to walk past you. But you got up and jumped on his back as he was right next to the table. You just giggled and held on tight as he shouted and jerked in surprise.
You were still laughing at his reaction as he looked over his shoulder at you. Seeing it was the child that did it, he sighed and smiled. He plucked you off of his back and held you to his chest to carry you easier. You settled down while still looking up at his face.
You decided to take initiative and introduce yourself, saying your name and age. He chuckled at you before saying his name as well. You said it was nice to meet him, and he said the same back to you. You asked who everyone else was, so he went around the ship and introduced you to everyone there. Getting a range of responses from greetings, huffs, to people ignoring you two. You glared at the ones who ignored you.
The ones who greeted you back laughed at the amusing scene of you glaring at their leader, Quaritch. You stuck your tongue out at him too.
-You moved on pretty quickly from the introductions.
-You had bluntly asked why the man, Lyle, had almost no hair, getting some loud laughs from his buddies. He just smiled at you and showed you some pictures of him as a human. You ‘oohed' and ‘awed' at them, along with the pictures of the rest of the crew as humans.
-You said your dads had blue bodies too. And that you asked for one, but they never gave you a straight answer on it.
-They just took in the information, figuring that some of the leftover scientists had raised you, so it would make sense for them to have avatars.
-You spent the rest of the day talking to and playing with the fun ones in the crew. Lyle, Mansk, and the woman who held you first, Z-dog. Which you told her was a funny name to have. She just smiled at you and ruffled your hair, making you shout and slap at her arm.
-You were such an amusing child to them, it was hard not to like you.
…
-With the Sullys, they had everything prepared to leave, and had explained what they were doing to the clan. Getting the support of their people. Along with giving temporary leadership to Tarsem while they were gone.
-They all got onto their ikrans, with Tuk on Neytiri’s and set off for the reefs.
-It took them almost two days to make it there, and they were immediately bombarded on the docks by all of the water navi.
-It didn’t take too long for the olo’eyktan and tsahik to arrive and begin speaking with them. Jake explained their situation and intentions in detail, getting the approval from Tonowari to stay there. Only if they learned their way of life while they were there. Jake easily agreed, happy that he could start accomplishing his first goal.
-Tonowari’s children would be teaching his children, and his daughter was currently leading them to their temporary home, their marui.
Once they got there, they were having a look around at the place with Tsireya waiting at the entrance for the kids. She got to witness Neytiri’s displeasure at the new place, dropping the mat while sighing. Jake just rubbed her back while telling the kids to go out and learn, and to behave!
They all just shouted their agreements while running out of their temporary home. They had followed Tsireya to the beach, where her brother and another boy were waiting. They all introduced themselves before going into the water together. The metkayina teens had quickly realized that they had more teaching to do than anticipated. They had quickly gone back and started to teach the forest children how to breathe properly in the water. It didn’t take too many tries for them all to get the hang of it. They spent the rest of their lessons that day exploring the reefs.
-Their days had been filled with more teachings and some smaller adventures in the few months they had been staying with the metkayina. They were all doing their duties, building bonds and learning the ways of the water.
-But in the privacy of their home, they allowed themselves to continue mourning your lost presence. They had all promised each other to not hold back at all against the people who took you once they found them.
-They had met the tulkun recently, and Lo’ak had gotten into some trouble for making a bond with the outcast of the species.
-They were all shocked and appalled when Ronal's spirit sister was killed. However, they knew they must be close to some humans by the technology found on her. They were hoping they would find you soon.
-The children were all with Payakan, swimming around him and having some fun when they were attacked. They immediately told Jake through the intercom what was happening, getting panicked questions in return.
-They continued to talk to him while a ship was coming into view in the water. Soon enough, almost all of the children were snatched onto the boat. Leaving Neteyam, Aonung, and Rotxo to race back to the shore to get the adults.
-They were tied to the railing of the ship, when they saw it. The outline of a human in one of the windows of the boat. And they were able to recognize that it was you! Their baby sibling!
-They didn’t get much time to consider it before Quaritch brought their attention back to him in the worst way possible.
…
-During those months you were with the recom squad, you were making the most of the situation. You had been bothering them every day since they took you.
-They had barely tried to get information from you since you were so young. Plus, you proved to not have the best memory.
-You forced the fun adults to entertain you every day. Whether that was by running around with you, or joining into your little games, they made sure you weren’t bored.
-You were the closest with Lyle, always hanging off of him. Playing with him and napping on him every day.
-Sometimes you bothered Quaritch, the leader. Asking him all kinds of questions or clinging to his leg while he was walking. You forced him to like you since he was the reason you were taken. You considered it payback to annoy him. And it was worth it.
When you made it to the ocean, you were forced to stay inside the whole time, putting a real damper on your mood. Though your three favorite adults tried to keep you happy. But nothing could save your mood once you saw them kill the whale-like creature and its child. You had cried the whole night, screaming at any of them that got close to you.
You were still in a horrible mood when you witnessed them capture your friends and another girl through the window on the ship. You made eye contact with Lo’ak and Kiri, knowing that they saw you. You ran away from the window to grab the things you had and hid near an exit of the ship, knowing that fighting would be happening soon.
…
-Kiri and Lo’ak made eye contact with each other and nodded. They were gonna tell their parents that you were inside the ship once they got the chance.
-They got that chance pretty quick since they saw their dad on a skimwing steadily approaching the ship. He got on top of the deck and pointed his gun at Quaritch.
-They took their chance to tell him and shouted that you were in the ship. Jake looked over at them for a split second before moving his gaze back to his enemy. He waited in the stalemate until he knew that his mate was close by, hearing the screech of her ikran.
-He knew that was the signal to start fighting. As he heard the beat of the ikran’s wings descending through the air, he started shooting as many avatars in his sight as he could. Getting backup from his mate and son. Neteyam cut the bonds holding his siblings and Tsireya, all of them quickly running into the ship to find you.
-The adults were giving it their all outside. The metkayina were brutally fighting all of the human troops in the water, while the omatikaya leaders were slaughtering the avatars on the boat. If they weren't shot with bullets, it was with arrows. They gave a good fight, but couldn’t overpower the enraged parents. They were all torn to shreds, metaphorically and maybe a little bit literally, within minutes. Not a single life was spared among them, passing painfully.
-They went inside of the boat to join their children, who seemed to be looking for something. Lo’ak loudly said that he knew he saw you, and Kiri nodded along with him.
-Neytiri stopped them from continuing to run around aimlessly, going into the middle of the room before doing her call, the whooping traveling far into the ship.
-As she continued to call into the ship, they heard shuffling from somewhere close. Soon enough, they saw your head poke out from behind a huge storage box. Once you were sure it was them, you ran out into the open and sprinted towards them as fast as you could.
-You collided with Neytiri, her quickly picking you up and clutching you to her chest right after. Her family crowded around her and all hugged you too, happy to have their family reunited.
That was when they heard something else. Footsteps from deeper in the cabin. You turned to them and said to get out of there as fast as possible, because there was another avatar in the ship with you and they had a gun. In their hurry to leave, you were passed to Neteyam as Neytiri grabbed Tuk and Jake guided Lo’ak and Kiri to the exit. You saw over Neteyam’s shoulder the man pointing the gun at you guys.
Your breathing got faster as he pointed at Neteyam. You saw him put a finger over the trigger and knew you had to act fast. As the shot went off, you threw your weight to the side, making Neteyam stumble, and putting you in the line of fire. You screamed as the bullet went through your back. The family stopped and turned to shoot the man. Taking him down with efficiency.
They started running out of the ship again, with the newfound motivation to get you to the shore. You were heavily crying as they all swam back to the shore as quickly as they possibly could.
-Once they made it there they inspected you, seeing the bullet hadn’t gone all the way through you, but it seemed to hit your spine. Which Jake knew firsthand wasn’t a good sign at all.
-They ran to the tsahik’s hut and quickly laid you down on one of the mats. Ronal hissed when she saw you, but then noticed the wound you had. She got all the materials she would need to help you before sitting beside your mat.
-She said that only one Sully that didn’t know anything about healing could stay, which ended up with Kiri assisting Ronal and Neteyam holding your hand for moral support.
-It took them almost an hour to retrieve the bullet, and a bit longer to dress the wound. You had passed out during the process, but started to not look pained once they got the bullet out.
-Outside the hut, Neytiri was attempting to keep her other children calm while Jake was communicating with Norm and Max.
-They were ecstatic to hear that you were found and rescued, but devastated to hear that you had been injured in the process. Jake told them you got hit in the spine, which gave him a very bad feeling. The only response he got was that Norm and Max were gonna come as fast as they could, and do what they needed to do.
-Jake said okay before telling them he would see them soon.
-The whole family was rushing towards the hut once Ronal exited it. They saw you supposedly sleeping with almost your whole torso covered in bandages. They all gathered around you and rested a hand on a part of you. Reassuring themselves that you were here with them and alive.
-In the few hours before Norm and Max were to show up, you had woken up and quietly talked to them. You told them you felt better, but were very weak and couldn’t feel your legs. Jake just grabbed your hand and told you everything would be okay when hearing that. Knowing exactly how you must feel.
-It only took Norm and Max three hours to arrive on the shores of the reefs, with everything they would need for you. Everything.
They saw Jake run out onto the beach to guide them where to land their helicopter. They landed and immediately hopped out and closed the door behind them, securing what they had inside.
-Jake just gave them a confused look before taking them to the hut you were in. As soon as you saw them you reached your arms out for them. Even in their avatar forms, you craved hugs from them. They sat beside you and gently pulled you into a secure hug. You sigh and relax into it.
-You told them you missed them, and they said the same back. You laid back down and told everyone that you were tired and hungry. They all laughed and said they would bring you some food after you napped. You just nodded while drifting off.
Everyone exited the hut and went to the Sully’s marui to discuss the situation. Jake filled them in on what had happened, including you saying you couldn’t feel your legs. Norm and Max looked at each other, nodding, before turning back to the family and saying they would evaluate her in the morning before discussing other options. This just confused the family, but they didn’t have the will to question it at the moment.
They made a meal and all helped carry it back over to where you were. Seeing you fast asleep, finally looking peaceful. They gently woke you up, helping you sit up and propping you against Kiri so you could eat comfortably. Everyone talked while they ate, happy to be all together. Once everyone was done eating, Neytiri went outside to find Ronal and ask her if it was okay for you to heal in their temporary home, getting the go ahead.
She hurried back to the hut to give the good news. You were then gently picked up and carried back to their marui. They doubled up a mat for you to lay on, and Norm got out one of your favorite blankets to put around you. The comforting feeling lulled you to sleep quickly.
-Once you were fully asleep, Norm said he would do some scans in the morning, but let you heal a bit before discussing your options.
-Jake asked what he meant by that, but only received a ‘you’ll see’ in return. He huffed before gathering his family together by you and showed the scientists where they could sleep. Everyone settled in and unintentionally took shifts watching over you in your sleep throughout the night.
-In the morning everyone had gathered to eat breakfast together, you choosing to lean against Norm. The Sullys weren’t happy about it, but chose not to say anything considering they hadn’t seen you since before you were taken.
-You still felt weak, so Kiri took it upon herself to feed you the meal. You smiled at her once you finished eating, gently thanking her before laying your head back on one of your adoptive dads. It only took the rest of them about ten minutes to finish eating as well.
Once everyone was done, Norm and Max said they would go get their equipment to do some scans of you to check on the injury and try to determine the extent of the damage. You were gently moved back to the mats you slept on, with the Sully children gathering around you. It took the two of them about fifteen minutes to go to the helicopter, gather the stuff, and come back to the marui. They came back in and set the stuff around you and told the kids to move from your sides, but sitting by your head was okay.
They set up the equipment around you for the scans, and hooked you up to a heart monitor and pulse oximeter (keeps track of the oxygen levels in your blood). They did a general x-ray of your whole body to check on your bones first. At first they didn’t see anything wrong. But they called Jake over for an extra pair of eyes to look at your spine at your lower back. They all looked at each other and sighed, concluding that two of your lower back’s vertebrae were fractured where you were shot. Next they did a scan of your brain and it came out normal, which was a relief. Then, they did a special scan that had been developed by that point in time, to look at the more complex structures in the body. They looked at the big nerve running through your spine, the spinal cord, and all gasped at the image. Your spinal cord was completely severed where you had been shot.
They all made eye contact again before sighing and unhooking you from all of the equipment. They wanted you to be comfortable before they discussed your results. The siblings took the chance to sit closer to you as they moved the equipment away from you, but keeping the tablet close to you, it holding pictures of all the scans.
-Neytiri had also moved closer to you, settling down behind her older children and putting her hands on their shoulders.
-Jake, Norm, and Max had come back and asked if you wanted to sit up for the news. You nodded and reached for Neytiri behind you, who got closer and gently moved you into her lap, propped up by her torso.
-Once you were upright, Max picked up the tablet and pulled up the brain scan first, not wanting to start with the bad news. He happily told you that it was normal and healthy.
-Then, he pulled up the x-ray. He went over the good parts before zooming in on the problem. He regretfully explained that part of your spine was fractured, but said that that issue would heal.
-Everyone that didn’t see the scans as they were taken noted how he said it. Implying that there was a problem that couldn’t be fixed. Neytiri gently hugged you, wanting to keep you calm, but also wanting to keep herself calm.
-When they pulled up the last scan’s image, Jake went over and held your hand before they showed it to you.
-At the last scan, everyone notices the problem right away. Then, they got confirmation of irreparable damage. Your spinal cord was severed. They said that if you couldn’t feel your legs right now, you probably never would again.
-You said that you couldn’t feel them at all, and couldn’t move them either. You have tried. You understood what they said and sighed right after you finished talking. You looked down at and poked one of your legs. Mourning the loss of your mobility.
-Jake had personal knowledge of how this news felt, how devastating for you it was. He squeezed your hand and told you that he would always be there for you, and that it would all be okay in the end. You looked up at him and gave a weak smile.
-You knew you had all the support you could ever need, but still felt hopeless in this situation. You leaned your head back and closed your eyes, feeling strangely numb for the news you received.
-The two scientists had the same reactions as the rest, but knew you had more options than the others were thinking. They had talked it out before coming, and had brought the avatar they had made for you with them.
-They made it as a gift for you, knowing you would be ecstatic to move easier on the planet. But now it would give you the chance to have a normal life again with full mobility.
-They told everyone that they would let your wound heal before discussing your options. Again confusing the family, but you looked in their eyes and saw the hope in them, feeling a bit happier for it.
After that, they carried you out of the marui to the healing hut. They took the time to carefully clean your wound, put some medicinal paste on it, and rebandage it. With doing this once a day, it only took you three weeks for the fixable wound to heal. Once that was noted, everyone gathered to discuss the options the scientists kept talking about.
They had gathered in the largest room to have the meeting. You chose to sit by yourself, using your arms to prop yourself up, your legs sitting limply in front of you. However, Neteyam was sitting behind you in the same position, his legs on either side of your body, careful not to touch you in the effort to respect your decision.
Once everyone was there, settled, and paying attention the discussion began. The scientists said that you had more options than normal. They said that you could stay as you are, with supports like a wheelchair and therapy to keep your muscles intact. Or that you could transfer into living in your avatar.
The big reveal had everyone frozen. Neytiri and the children were completely frozen in shock. You had your jaw dropped while shedding silent tears. And Jake looked numb, with a hint of anger.
-You had been frustrated with not being able to move normally. Having to be carried around constantly like a baby had you feeling upset.
-Neytiri was shocked that they had made an avatar for you, but didn’t want you to switch into it. She had loved your dependence on them, bringing her back to when you were a baby. She loved getting to coddle you then, and she loved it now.
-The other children thought the same as their mother. They loved feeling needed by you, but it was deeper for Neteyam. He felt that getting to take care of you after your injury was making up for you taking the bullet for him. He craved your reliance on him, feeling healed by getting to take care of and protect you now.
-For Jake, he was conflicted. He knew what getting a second chance like this felt like, but didn’t want to give up your need for them. He had loved taking care of you as a baby, and this was the same feeling but with more meaning. Caring for a baby was an expected necessity since they had to rely on others. But taking care of you now was a display of love and loyalty. Proving how much they cared for you when you no longer could. He wanted to give you the support he lacked back then. It was there physically for him, but not emotionally. Him providing that for you now was healing a part of himself he didn’t know was there. And he didn’t want to give that up.
-You were overwhelmed. You wanted your mobility back desperately, but the decision was a very big thing to make. You had a headache thinking about making the choice at that moment. You asked them to give you time to think about it and they easily agreed.
You slumped back onto Neteyam’s lap and rubbed your head. He reached down and gently massaged your temples, bringing you enough relief to fall asleep. He pulled you further onto him before moving you over into the sleeping area. Once that was done, he went back over to the group.
Jake waited until his oldest joined them again before talking to the group again. He said that they should wait until they get back to their own home to have you make your decision. With the reasoning that they have taken months to build bonds with the water navi at that point and could head back soon. He would talk to Tonowari later that day to confirm their bond before getting ready to head back home. Given the shock, they wouldn’t be heading to any other clans after this, along with the reason for them leaving being long gone.
Norm and Max hesitated, but agreed. They knew that it was a big decision to make for someone so young. But they would need to check in on your avatar in the helicopter again before they left the reefs to ensure it was still okay, as they wanted you to still have that option even if you decided against it. They said their plans before leaving to go put their equipment back in the helicopter. They also added that they would be out exploring for the rest of the day to let everyone relax.
As soon as they were out of hearing range, the family started talking again. Jake said that he knew they were all thinking the same thing. That they had to make sure you wouldn’t transfer into your avatar. They all agreed and asked what they should do to make that happen. They all looked at each other for an answer to that question.
Neytiri was the one to provide that answer, saying that they should sabotage the other body. The children were confused on how they could do that while Jake started thinking. He said that they could either harm the body to make it not viable anymore, or cut the power keeping it alive. He was leaning towards cutting the power to make it look like an unfortunate accident, sparing their image and giving them the opportunity to comfort you through the news. They all seemed satisfied with his plan, scheduling the time to do it for that night, as they would hopefully be leaving the next morning.
-After they were finished with their family meeting, Jake and Neytiri left to go talk to Tonowari and Ronal. And the kids grabbed you before leaving to go swimming with Tsireya, Aonung and Rotxo.
-You were still asleep when they arrived at the beach. So you stayed in Kiri’s arms as she floated on the surface with you resting on her stomach, and the rest of them went diving, the Sullys staying close by.
-It took almost an hour for you to start waking up, and when you did you were confused on where you were until you looked around you.
-You saw you were laying on Kiri in the water. So, you sat up and pushed your legs to fall around her waist.
-She was looking at you doing this the entire time, smiling at you. She started slowly swimming around while still on her back, causing you to giggle at her antics.
-She abruptly went upright in the water while grabbing you around your waist, causing you to gasp. She chuckled at you before moving to drape you across her back. You wrapped your arms around her neck as she started swimming to the shallow water.
-Once she got to the water that was ankle deep on her, she set you down in the sand. It went up to your waist while you were sitting, allowing you to dig around in the sand around you. You found a couple pretty shells, which made you very happy. Kiri was just supervising your fun.
-Meanwhile with the adults, the talk with the metkayina leaders was going well. They understood the situation, and gave the omatikaya their support. Especially since they saved their daughter and got rid of the humans. They wished them luck on their journey home, along with promising a celebration that night before they leave.
-They thanked them before leaving their marui. On their way back to their own temporary home, they saw you in the water.
They made their way over to you with smiles on their faces. Which only got bigger when you proudly showed them the shells gathered from next to you. They were once again brought back to your infancy when you could finally sit up on your own. They kneeled next to you in the water, occasionally lifting and moving you to a different section of sand so you could still look for things in it. Each time making sure your legs were resting in front of you in a comfortable position. Even if you couldn’t feel them, they thought it was important.
You were just having fun digging in the sand and finding things in it. You were happy when they told you they would be heading home the next day, back to the forest. You beamed at them, happy to go back to what you know. They chuckled and told you there would also be a celebration that night before they left tomorrow morning.
-You clapped your excitement before being splashed by Kiri. You squealed before splashing her back. You two going back and forth before noticing the other siblings coming over towards you.
-As soon as they made it next to you guys, Lo’ak pretended to look away before splashing you two. You laughed as the whole family joined in, each person relaxing and having fun with each other.
-When you got hit with a particularly hard wave of water, you fell backwards. As soon as you were submerged, Neytiri hurried to put her hand under your back and sit you back up. You gasped as you were lifted from the water. As soon as you opened your eyes again you were laughing. That made the whole family relax.
-Pretty soon after everyone calmed down, you said you were hungry. Once all of the other kids agreed, you were picked up by Neytiri and carried back to the marui.
-The adults prepared a light meal for everyone, and it was finished quickly. You reached to be picked up again once everything had been put away. Neytiri had picked you up before grabbing a wrap to strap you to her chest. It was comfortable for both of you.
-You all went out of the marui and saw preparation for the celebration. You all went to help with getting it done. Eventually all that was needed was for the fishers to get back so the cooking could be done.
-As everyone was waiting and could see them in the distance, you laid your head down and fell asleep. Neytiri just leaned down and kissed your head as she joined her family where they sat on the sand. All of them kissing your head after she sat down.
-As the cooking was almost done, the two scientists emerged from the small forest on the island and went over to the Sully family. They got an explanation before they could even ask.
-They mingled with everyone through the whole celebration, only waking you up to feed you dinner. The only change was switching you from being on Neytiri’s chest to her back. You were rocked deeper into sleep as she danced with Jake.
As everything was winding down, everyone helped clean up before heading home. Once you guys got back to your marui, you and the other kids were put into bed. With you still sleeping they whispered to their older kids that they would take care of the problem once the other adults went to sleep. But until then, they laid down with all of their kids.
They waited until they knew Norm and Max were fully asleep before carefully making their way out of the marui and to the helicopter. They carefully opened the door and hopped into it, closing it behind them. They made their way over to the slightly illuminated pod with a child’s body floating in it. They looked it over and fondly smiled at your features on their species. It would have been lovely to have you become one of them in this body, but that was before the current circumstances. They carefully looked around the pod before locating the battery powering it. They looked over it before tugging one of the wires out of place, making the movement inside stop but the light stayed on. It was the perfect outcome, making it so they wouldn’t notice something was wrong until they arrived back home and it was too late to save the body. They almost felt bad, but ultimately loved the situation they were taking advantage of more.
They crept back out of the helicopter and fully closed the door behind them. Making it look like they had never been in it. They smiled as they made their way back to the marui. They laid down with and cuddled their children before blissfully going to sleep.
-In the morning they had a quick breakfast before packing all of their stuff up and loading it on their ikrans. Tuk riding with Neytiri and you with Jake. At the same time they saw the scientists getting into the helicopter and taking off into the sky.
-They took off into the sky after they were gone, happily waving at all of the water navi. But they were even happier to be going home. It took them until the next sunset to get back to their true home. Getting a very warm greeting from everyone when they got back to their village.
-Mo’at gave everyone hugs as they dismounted, only a little confused about you staying strapped to Jake. She was just glad that everyone was home again, alive and well.
-The family just told everyone that in the morning they would tell them all about their time with the water navi.
-They made their way back to their pod, got you and themselves ready for bed, and all went to sleep cuddled together. Norm and Max had already gone back to the labs and probably went to sleep as well.
-Which was good considering it gave more time for the body to become nonviable.
In the morning, everyone woke up and walked out of their pod to find a big breakfast made to welcome them back. Everyone rushed over to sit among their people, the family staying together. They carefully set you down on a log in between Kiri and Lo’ak, made you a plate, and handed it over to you. Kiri adjusted your legs in front of you before eating her own breakfast. You thanked her after you finished eating, leaning to the side to rest on her. Mo’at was watching the scene closely, confused as to why you didn’t move your legs yourself. She figured she could ask later in the day.
Right after breakfast, Jake and Neytiri told the clan all about their time with the water navi. About learning their ways, their leaders, the species they harbored to assist them, and their defeat of the returned sky people. They got massive amounts of cheers once they finished the story. They smiled at their people, saying that they would take a day to catch up with family before going on a hunt the next day. Which made all of the hunters excited to be out with their leader and his sons again.
You were picked up by Kiri, who situated your legs around her waist, and carried to Mo’at’s tent. Mo’at herself had been eyeing the actions the whole time, looking at your legs, which were hanging almost limply around her granddaughter. She saw you be set down, and your legs once again rearranged for you, before going over and sitting by you herself. She grabbed Kiri and pulled her down to sit beside her, at your side.
-She demanded to know what had happened and why Kiri was giving you so much help in moving. Kiri had looked over at you, receiving a nod in response.
-Kiri had told her grandmother what had happened on the boat, and that your injury meant that you wouldn’t be able to move your legs for the rest of your life. Paralyzed from the waist down Norm and Max had said.
-Mo’at gave you a sad smile in return and rubbed your head. Showing silent comfort, that you leaned into. She assured you that she would give you all the help you needed from her, making you smile. You were basically her grandchild as well, she would make sure you were taken care of.
-Pretty soon, Neytiri showed up and said that she needed you two to come with her and bathe. Plus redo your hair, as it had been a while you girls had bonded like that.
-Kiri got up, and before she could reach for you, Mo’at had picked you up. She said she would join you, wanting to be with all her girls as well. You smiled up at her before reaching up to play with her shawl and hanging knife.
-Neytiri and Kiri lead the way, with Tuk joining as soon as you guys left the tent. Pretty soon you all made it to the lake your clan used for bathing, you getting set down on the edge of it as the pouch holding all of the bathing and braiding supplies was emptied out next to you.
As soon as everything was ready and set aside, all of the ones able to had undressed and got into the water. And when Neytiri was ready and in the water, she went to the edge and helped you undress before taking you in her arms and further into the water. She handed you over to her mother before grabbing the comb to unto her older daughters’ braids before the washing was done. She quickly went through Kiri’s hair to undo the braids and detangle it, then repeating the process with Tuk. She finished it with detangling your hair, then quickly doing her own.
After that process was over with, she moved to the bank to grab the bathing oils. She cleaned herself before helping Tuk wash herself, and only being needed to help wash her oldest daughter’s back. Then, she helped her mother wash your full body before handing over the oil to her mother and taking you into her arms. Once her mother was done, she swapped again before getting the hair oils to cleanse their hair and scalps. She quickly went through her own hair, letting Tuk ‘help’ her then passing it off to Kiri after washing Tuk’s hair. She relaxed while rinsing her hair and helping her older daughters rinse theirs. Relishing the feeling of taking care of her babies. She gently washed your hair, massaging your scalp in the process. You were very much enjoying the process, feeling more relaxed than you have in a while. You clung to Neytiri as she carefully rinsed your hair.
While her mother was oiling her scalp, she experimentally flattened you out in the water to see if you still floated well, and you did. You relaxed in the water as the other women around you redid their hair. Neytiri redid Tuk’s, Tuk braided the longer bits of Kiri’s hair, and Mo’at redid Neytiri’s braids. It was a very wholesome scene. Once they were done, they picked you up and brought you to the edge of the water and laid you on the bank of the lake. Once they were dressed again, they put your clothes back on you before bringing you back to the village.
Once you guys got back, the boys saw you arriving and went over to you. They figured you all had bathed considering the new braids and damp hair. They just take the bathing stuff from Neytiri and go to the lake as well, their small hunt got them dirty. The women and you made your way back to the family’s pod so they could hang out and do some crafts. You were set down on the floor and your legs were extended in front of you.
As Kiri was moving them, she felt your muscles tense. She furrowed her brows before massaging your legs to relax the muscles. She asked her mother what the scientists said about movement to keep your legs from getting weak. Neytiri came over and gently laid you flat on the floor before taking a foot in each hand and moving your legs in circles to simulate walking. She explained that doing this for about ten minutes every day will keep you from losing muscles and getting cramps. Everyone nodded along to it and paid attention to how to do it, since they all wished to help you. This went on for a little longer than ten minutes.
Directly after she was done moving your legs, she put a hand under your back and lifted you to be sitting up. You were pulled into the circle before being handed a bowl of beads and a long string, all the materials you would need to make a new piece of jewelry.
-You had been working on your necklace for about half an hour before the boys came back from bathing, all of their hair undone as well. Even Jake’s.
-They each went to one of the older three women to get their braids redone. Jake to Neytiri, Neteyam to Mo’at and Lo’ak to Kiri.
-They each got new braids in their hair. The two younger boys got a redo of the braids they had, and Jake got braids like he had before his kids were born. Once they were all taken care of, they each went to you and gave you a kiss on your head.
-You smiled before focusing back on the necklace you were making. Taking another half an hour to finish it. When you were done you got Jake to tie it for you.
-After that, he picked you up and asked if anyone else wanted to visit the lab with you guys. To check on your other body and the scientists. Everyone but Mo’at and Tuk got up to go. Tuk said she was gonna go play with her friends, but she would see them later. And Mo’at had some duties.
-It didn’t take them long at all to reach the lab. Once they made it there, they saw Norm and Max immediately upon walking in. And they looked very anxious and troubled. This worried you.
-Kiri broke off from the group to go to Grace’s avatar body, to spend some time with her before she had to go back and comfort you from the news you were gonna get. She let herself lay on the glass for fifteen minutes before going back to where the rest of her family was.
-When she got back over, her parents were talking to the two men, and her brothers were with you in the kitchen, making some human food for you and them. She put her hands on her hips while looking at her brothers making a mess in the human kitchen.
-In the end she did join in the eating of human food. You seemed to really enjoy what they had made. Once they were done their parents called them back to the main room with the avatar pods in it.
-All of the adults’ looked normal and healthy. But yours looked truly lifeless, not moving at all and sunk to the bottom of the pod it was in. That worried you a lot.
-Norm and Max looked regretful. They said they had no idea what had happened to it, but your avatar body couldn’t be inhabited anymore. It had died. And they didn’t have the resources to remake it anytime soon. It could be years before they got enough materials to make a new one.
-You just gasped and buried your face in the shoulder of the one holding you. You didn’t mind living like that, but it would’ve been nice to have the option of using your avatar occasionally. You just quietly said it was fine before you started sniffling.
-You got the needed comfort from all of the people present, which made you feel a lot better. After you cried it out, you fell right to sleep in their arms. The family said they would take you back to their pod so you could rest and recover from the shock.
-All Norm and Max could do was say okay and go back to lay in their beds once the Sullys had left.
-And you just had to live with the knowledge that you would probably never get the second chance you had wanted. But it would be okay, because you knew you would be taken care of by the people that were basically your family at that point. Whether you wanted them to or not.
