Sejoh headcanons? Loved your inarizaki ones
Sorry for taking so long to reply anon but life took quite the turn for me. But I’m here again and hopefully can start writing again really soon. But here we go Seijoh headcanons.
🌿 First thing first you were a random regular (used to show you have no relationship to volleyball) student who picked a random club just to get it out of the way. Thankfully your knight in shining practice clothes showed up in the hallway and recruited you as the manager. Let’s take a look at your not so successful road to nationals with the Aoba Josei volleyball club.
🌿 So big shocker here but you have 2 navigation buddies. The first is the guy who recruited you, the guy who sits behind you, Hanamaki which by default makes your second navigation buddy Matsukawa. But don’t be fooled they’re not ensuring that you don’t get lost as you’ve studied the map well before arriving at your destination, you’re there to guide Makki who has no sense of direction. Seeing as he’s one of the starters it’s important that you guys know where he is at all times. Mattsun tags along for fun and to watch Makki forget where he just came from. But it’s all good you get paid in Hanamaki hugs which are some of the most comforting hugs you’ve felt in a long time.
🌿 Moving onto Mattsun just because he was already mentioned, he’s the one that helps you out with some of your manager duties. He feels bad enough that Makki getting lost on his way to deliver something to your teacher forced you to join the club so it’s the least he could do. Seeing as he’s also a regular player he mostly helps out before and after practice. He’ll help carry the water cooler when the bottles are full and help you carry the laundry at the end of practice matches. Bonus points goes to him being able to reach the equipment Oikawa puts on the top shelf to mess with him.
🌿 Iwaizumi is strict. But he has a little soft side for you. He’s known you since you were both first years (when you first joined the club) and you’ve both learned to coexist. Not to say that you don’t get along with Iwa but he’s usually too busy keeping Oikawa in line to constantly interact with you. When you two do get a chance to chat lots of laughs and jokes are shared. You two have your own little hand signal you use to remind each other of an inside joke every now and again.
🌿 I’ll keep captain Hit it till it breaks for last. 🌿
🌿 Next is Yahaba. He is literally the bane of your existence. And not in a good way either. He’s more like your little brother you can’t let out of your sight for too long or he’ll get himself into trouble. He’s the one who will willing trash talk another team knowing you’ll swoop in to save him from an ass kicking. You once looked away from him for too long and the cheerleaders from the opposing team met a different Yahaba Seijoh keeps locked in the basement for legal reasons. Safe to say you now have a leash for him whenever you have away games and practice matches. Even though his tendency to get himself into trouble can be annoying when he gets serious there’s nobody else you want by your side helping to manage the team.
🌿 And now for the guy who literally scared me when they first introduced him. I almost thought Makki was a goner 😭. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Angry Puppy *rechecks introduction card* oh excuse me there’s been a mistake. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Mad Dog. Literally this guy is baby and for the wrong reasons. Much like Yahaba you can’t look away from him for too long or you’ll have a fight on your hands. He willingly helps Yahaba trash talk the opposing team and pretends he did nothing when you come by. As Iwa is the only person he listens to the minute you say “Hajime-kun” you have a completely different Mad Dog in front of you. He’s come to think of you as his younger sister and is willing to tear a person limb from limb for you. Once got benched for serving directly to the face of the opposing team’s captain because he catcalled you while you were getting water for the team.
🌿 Next is Watari. Literally this guy is baby. When you first saw him setting instead of Oikawa it got you curious to know about his setter background. While telling you about his previous days as setter he managed to teach you more things about volleyball that you didn’t learn during your first year. All in all he is a very sweet kid who raids your snack station after games. But only for the fruits and nuts. And occasionally the one pack of cookies you have for yourself every now and again.
🌿 Alright now we talk about the guy everyone else thinks is baby, Kindaichi. This is a special case. At first glance you thought he looked familiar and you were absolutely right. Turns out you both went to the same elementary school but were in different grades. You remember him as the little boy who would cry when it was time to go in from lunch. He was quite the crybaby back then and not much has changed but he pouts instead of crying now. Lucky for you he doesn’t remember you so the methods the teachers used to calm him down are the same ones you use much to his nostalgic delight. He’s pretty self efficient but don’t turn him away when he needs a confidence boost. Just give him one of your famous head pats and remind him he’s a good volleyball player much like his senpais.
🌿 With Kunimi you have to approach him cautiously. He’ll either cooperate or shut down completely and you’re forced to drag all 66.1kg/145.7lbs of him everywhere. He’s a sweet kid don’t get me wrong but he’s also very perceptive and has noticed that you treat your kohais like literal children. This isn’t a bad thing for him but for you it means you have to be a little stricter on him. Don’t fall for his puppy eyes and wobbly lip or you’ll end up with his head in your lap while you go over player stats during breaks.
🌿 And finally captain hit it till it breaks Oikawa. Tooru Oikawa’s favorite food is milk bread and he always finds a way to steal yours at lunch. He’s a pain in the booty but he’s your pain in your booty. One of the nicest persons to you on the team but you suspect it’s because he’s the captain. You can’t deny the hard work he’s put into the sport but there are times you wished he didn’t work so hard. You saw how hard he took it when Shiratorizawa beat Seijoh and you would hate to see him in that state again. I could go on about the special friendship you and Oikawa have however that’s too much to write just know that where you go he goes like a lost puppy.
Sorry again this took so long but here they are. Seijoh headcanons. Hopefully we all see eye to eye with these. Thanks again for reading and see you soon

I finished two manga recently, the first Aoba-Kun's Confessions, and the second the Gold Kingdom and the Water Kingdom.
First. Aoba-Kun's Confessions. A sweet high school romance shoujo manga by Ema Toyama. It's about a girl who works at a "listening house" so people can get their problems off their chest without judgement, and a popular boy with seemingly no problems who suddenly shows up one day. It's 8 volumes, short and sweet, the main lead has so much charm and develops wonderfully. It's also a good little manga about mental health support and how important it is.
While short and sweet and definitely worth a read if you want a cute little high school romance, worth a read. I don't think I'll collect or revisit it though so over all 6/10.
Next The Gold Kingdom and the Water Kingdom a historical fantasy josei by Nao Iwamoto. Two people from rival kingdoms meet and pretend to be each other's husband / wife to prevent their kingdoms from going to war.
The characters are great, the setting is great, the art is beautiful, the story is sweet. I was sad that it was only 7 chapters in total. I could have read 50 volumes of this manga. 10/10.

Oikawa X Reader
DRABBLE
Platonically Oikawa Toru is your best friend. But Oikawa Toru, a guy who was always way out of your league. But each moment you saw different girls with him, his hands on their waist, for a minute you would picture yourself with him.
It was a selfish thought of yours, and you knew that too. But what could you do when you were not even a character in his story. You were always on the sidelines cheering for him in the loudest voice you can. Every wins of Aoba Josei, you were there. Every lost match, you would be there. But never did they notice you, not him at least.
All about those girls were totally different from you. You would be always on the bleachers, while they were the cheerleaders. All that you could hope was that one day morning when he woke up, he'd somehow see you. Of all those girls, like he was finding for something, you wish he would always know he belongs with you.
Each time he came to your house about how that girl did this and that, you would be there, about to karate chop her head off the next time you see her. It was never about how much you liked him and how all but him saw that connection. If not for that obvious spark, why would his so-called exes swamp you in the classroom when he is not there?
Everyone except him knew that you liked him. At some point, you even though he was acting like he does not know just to make things less awkward between you because he saw you just as a friend. But if anyone knew him like the palm of their hands, it was you. Therefore you knew that this man was genuinely clueless about your obvious infatuation.
It was not like you could control your emotions. So when you got the chance to change your school, you did not think twice. Mostly because you did not have an option, because your family had to shift because of your fathers' job.
And that's how you ended up in Argentina. Your long gone first love to that one boy, and his liking to you that was platonic. But fate had something else in its mind for you both. Else years later, how would you meet him in a coffee shop near your apartment, when he was supposed to be miles away in Japan.
But that day you left, Toru had to resurf throughout the memory lane and find out why you left so abruptly without even waiting to tell him a proper goodbye. Had he not met you then in the coffee shop, he would never have been able to fall in love or trust anyone.
Because years later, in your apartment Oikawa Toru sleeps peacefully with you tucked to his chest; waiting for the morning to begin with a sweet kiss from your cherry lips.

Look, it’s unfair to compare every sports anime- even sports shonen- to Haikyuu. Every show, even ones in the same genre, is trying to do its own thing, and you shouldn’t judge them for not living up to what I consider the pinnacle of the genre. Kuroko no Basket isn’t Haikyuu, isn’t trying to be Haikyuu, and shouldn’t be judged for not being Haikyuu.
But fourteen episodes into KnB, I realized I was bored out of my mind, so I paused watching it and popped on a random Haikyuu episode (S1E5) just to feel the difference.
And that made this decision a lot easier.
Tumblr media
I’m sorry, but I just can’t do it. I can’t sit around waiting for the basketball lasers to show up if it’s going to be this much of a slog to get there. That random episode of Haikyuu I put on- an episode from very early in its run, I might add- had more charm, personality, and cinematic verve than the entirety of Kuroko no Basket up until this point. No, I can’t judge it for not being the same as Haikyuu, but I can absolutely judge it for being infinitely worse than Haikyuu in every aspect.
So what’s going wrong here? Well, there’s one big problem that pretty much kills Kuroko no Basket for me. It’s not how the show focuses on a select few elite players instead of making the whole team matter, though that doesn’t help. It’s not how cringeworthy the way the female characters are treated is, though that doesn’t help. It’s not how aesthetically ugly it is, though that doesn’t help (seriously, though, while the animation during the matches is pretty slick, the actual art style and overall direction is just so unpleasant to look at). No, the real problem, the problem that kills this show, is that none of these characters feel like they exist beyond the boundary of the basketball court.
Think about it. Who is Kuroko when he’s not playing basketball? Or Kagami? Or Kise? What are their other hobbies and interests? Plans for the future? Fears? Desires? What are their families and home situations like? Their school lives? The answer is: nothing. None of these things exists. Every single character in this show exists to play basketball, talk about playing basketball, and think about playing basketball. That’s it. They aren’t written as people inhabiting a world, they’re written as ciphers who only exist in the context of basketball. Take that one aspect of their personalities away and literally nothing’s left.
Compare that to, say, Enoshita from Haikyuu. Do we ever see his home life? Do we ever see his hobbies or what his life is like outside the volleyball club? No, not really. But in the short time we spend with him, it’s clear he does, in fact, have a life outside the volleyball club. He has a personality and personal goals that aren’t solely defined by Hit Ball Gooder. Even if we don’t see much of it, he’s written in such a way that you can imagine the life he leads beyond the screen. And that’s just Enoshita! He’s one of the most minor characters in the show, and yet he has a more believable and fleshed-out internal life than everyone in KnB.
I can’t care about Kuroko and his friends because I can’t see them as people; they’re vessels to play basketball and that’s it. But everyone in Haikyuu, from Karasuno to Aoba Josei to Nekomata and beyond, feels like a person with a story worth getting invested in. I care about them because I care about them as people, because what they do on the court matters to them as people. If there was ever anything recognizably human about Kuroko no Basket, it was lost in the shuffle long ago. And I’m not gonna make myself sit through 75 episodes of sports robots larping as humans just to see what ridiculous, over-the-top stunts they might pull sometime in the future.

[Image text: It ticks me off a bit when I get people saying that they wish the game wasn't a BL or that it was a shoujo/josei (with Aoba being a girl and all). Funny how the very same people will turn from water to acid when you say you wish other big VN names weren't hentai, like dare to say to a Saya no Uta or Fullmetal Daemon Murasama fan you wish those games weren't a straight eroge and see if you get out without discourse (Not the Fate Series people though, I think they're more chill); sometimes it doesn't even need to be a VN.
Like, I get to each their own, but leave this one alone. I believe it was only possible to reach the final product that DMMd is because it's in the genre it is with the characters the way they are. Of course a lot of things there are dated, but damn if isn't a good game.
(I'm not talking about the fandom genderbending the characters tho, that's fine, I guess.)]

Shoujo Manga That Deserve an Anime Adaptation
In recent years, many mangas are being adapted into anime, but many popular shoujo mangas have yet to make it on screen.
There has been such an overflow of shounen, isekai, and harem anime being released that the shoujo genre has been left on the backburner. With the recently completed Fruits Basket reboot, it’s the upcoming prelude film, and the remake for Tokyo Mew Mew said to release this year, there is a blatant demand for shoujo anime. Even shoujo anime that was given a second season seems to get the short end of the stick. Kamisama Kiss, although popular, had two seasons that reached the midway of the entire series and concluded with a few OVAs, finishing one plot point and leaving out multiple others.

QQ Sweeper/ Queens Quality
Maintaining mental health and everyday cleanliness has a whole new meaning in Queen’s Quality and its prequel QQ Sweeper. Fumi Nishioka, a homeless girl with no past memories, is looking for a rich husband when she meets Kyuutarou Horikita and discovers he is part of a family of ‘Sweepers’ who cleans up negative emotions that manifest in people’s hearts. As Fumi aids Kyuutaro, she finds that with her amnesia she has a dormant power to control the minds of others known as The Queen. Question is, what kind of Queen will Fumi be?
Tumblr media
Kitchen Princess
Food anime has become increasingly popular with Food Wars, Restaurant to Another World, and Sweetness and Lightning being released; Kitchen Princess would be no different with its mouthwatering cuisine and emotional love story. Najika Kazami, an orphaned girl with an absolute sense of taste, goes to a prestigious academy to find her flan prince who helped her in her time of woe. On her journey, she encounters two brothers in conflict, many pretentious bullies, a small diner to make delicious food in.
*Natsume Ando’s other more recent work “Something is Wrong With Us” is also deserving of an anime adaptation, but it’s josei rather than shoujo.
Tumblr media
The Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts
With it’s final volume being released in English this year, The Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts” is definitely a manga worthy of an anime adaptation. Leonhart being voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda in the drama cd aside, this royal fantasy would be sure to attract fans of “Yona of the Dawn” and “Beastars”. Sarifi is the chosen human sacrifice to be given to the King of Beasts who happily accepts her role over being with family act as loved ones while holding malicious intent towards her. After finding out his deepest secret, the King chooses to keep her as a consort with the intent to have her as his queen. Sarifi goes through numerous trials to be accepted as acting queen and to remain by the King’s side.
Tumblr media
Sakura Hime: The Legend of Princess Sakura
The concept of Princess Kaguya and the moon is seen in many manga and anime with all demographics (Naruto, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon), Sakura Hime focuses on Princess Kaguya’s granddaughter and the mysterious powers of the people on the moon. Although “Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross” would also make a good anime, Sakura Hime has more action, a complex plot, with emotional turmoil. The story takes place in the Heian period with demons, priestesses, spirits, and ninjas surrounding Sakura  and her betrothed Aoba.

genre: oikawaxreader {pure angst}
warnings: cheater! oikawa
requested by: @llamakenma can i pls request some angst with oikawa?? im okay with anything as long as it's angst ahehehe. Have a great day!!
Tumblr media
Say Oikawa-san, will you still remember me, or will you force yourself to forget me?
isn't it funny how you were the one who wanted this, but it is also you who ends us?
How fool am I to think that I know you.
"Tooru! Wait for me!!" You run up to him. He stops and glare at you "Ck. Didn't I told you not to call me that?" He held out his hand. You were confused by his gestures. You assumed he wants to hold your hand, so you held your hand out to him. However, he immediately slapped your hand away and mocked at you.
"I did not ask for your hand, Your Majesty. Give me back my jacket" you slowly taking off his jacket and gave it to him. He yanks it away and walks off, leaving you alone by yourself. You sat down on the swing, staring at the full moon that shines brightly.
Here you are, in front of the park where you met him for the first time, where he asks you out, and also the place where he decided to end the ties between you and him, filled with memories even to this day. You were wondering why he asks you to meet up with him at this place again, turns out he only wanted the jacket he gave you a month ago.
You're such a fool. Only because you used to be Oikawa's girlfriend does not mean you can call him by his first name anymore. Just because you both had something doesn't mean you can be together again. Why do you think he would want to hold your hand? You messed up again (y/n), now he will hate you even more. Why do you act like this?
Because you love him, yet there's nothing you can do when it comes to him. He's your favourite. He's like a star, shines so brightly. Even when the sun starts to rise, and it's light overcome him, you still longing for him. How can you love someone else when you only wants him?
"Why are you still here?" A deep, familiar voice snapped you out of your though. You look up and smile. "You came back." His heart aches whenever he hears the sadness in your voice. His gaze softened and take place at the swing beside yours. "You can sit there if you like, I'll leave you alone." You stand up and leave, but he grabs your arm to stop you.
"Stay, please. I didn't mean it that way." He looks at you with pleading eye. You never really know him. Both of you sit down at the swings, he looks at you and says "It's late, just go home already." You don't want to answer him, so you keep your mouth shut.
"Oikawa-san, why do you broke up with me?" don't you know you were all that I have? "I don't feel the same love again. I'm sorry." you can't help the tears from flowing out of your eyes. "Only that? Not because of her? The one you've been cheating with from days ago? Before you decided to leave me?"
He didn't speak but continues listening to you "You didn't expect me to knew it did you?" wiping your tears with your sleeve, you look at him. "It will be so hard for me to let you go." you know he won't say anything "Can you please tell me what you said exactly one year ago? The one that I love to hear the most." He takes a shaky breath and fulfils your wish.
"I love you (y/n)"
-end-
Notes: there we go I hope you enjoy it. It takes a few days for me to really feel sad and write this. Hope i didn't disappoint you 😅

Goddammit another Haikyuu dream
Listen, I wish I was lying when I said I had two Haikyuu dreams in a row. Okay, so for like the week or so, all the captains switched schools, and Daichi went to captain Aoba Johsai. So like, everybody on the team was totally cool with him except Mad Dog? (I think the only reason this happened was because I named my Magikarp Mad Dog right before I went to bed 🤔🤔) so Daichi was like "okay whatever you don't have to like me" and went along with his day. So they were doing their practice or whatever, and Mad Dog did that thing where he steals a gotdam set from somebody and Daichi started reprimanding him. Everyone else was like "no Daichi he only listens to Iwa" but Mad Dog actually listened to him?? So for the rest of practice, he didn't steal anymore sets???? And everybody was like "omg Daichi how did you do that" and somebody else was like "maybe Mad Dog has a crush on you lol" and they all had a smol laugh before Daichi sent them back home because practice was over. So time skip to when they're back to their own teams, Aoba Johsai and Karasuno are having a practice match and one of the volleyballs rolled onto Aoba Johsai's side of the court so Daichi goes over to get it. Mad Dog hands it to him and Daichi takes it but omg their fingers brush. Cue slow motion shots and pink anime background. And Mad Dog (with the biggest fucking blush on his face wtf????) deadass just goes "Yeah so we're gonna be dating now" Tl;dr - I have a new ship and it makes no sense at all please send help
