Manifestation - The Train Analogy (Bridge of Incidents & Wavering/Doubting)

Hello everyone! This is another short post to cover a simple topic under the umbrella term manifestation to hopefully shed some light on the topic.

Today I will be sharing with you an analogy regarding the bridge of incidents (BOI) which also covers when you are wavering & doubting. This analogy came to me during a meditation today and I found it to be helpful so I thought I would share!

During a meditation today my higher self, or higher consciousness, however you want to think of it, spoke to me and told me that when I have a desire, the desire becomes my destination. To reach my destination, the Universe puts me on the fastest train possible there.

What this train is, depends on your self concept, what you believe is possible, and what you believe is possible for yourself to achieve and experience. If you have little to no resistance towards your desire, the Universe sticks your ass onto a bullet train (super fast trains in Japan if you haven't heard of them!).

Now, when you are wavering and doubting the outcome of your desire, this is like a stop along the way to your destination. When you doubt, you get off at a station that is before the end of your destination. Standing on this platform, you now have a choice. You can remain here and choose to not continue on your journey to your desired outcome, or, you can get your ass back on the train. The choice is yours.

Sometimes you may stop for a while on this platform because you recognise that your ass was on a slow moving train from the 1800s. So maybe you pause for a bit, and work on your self concept. You clear out the blockages and resistances that is slowing you down. (Note that I said slow you down, but not stopped!). Now that you are ready, your new train rolls into the station and it is a much quicker one!

Sometimes, doubt only lasts for a little while, and you are able to get back onto the train towards your destination quickly.

The beautiful thing about this analogy is that it shows your wavering and doubt as simply temporary stops along the way, you always have the ability to get back onto the train and reach your final destination, your desired outcome.

The train, even if slow, will still move towards it. Anything you desire, you can have. The only thing slowing your down is your own beliefs about the possibility of you having it. Erase your fears, worry and doubts through self concept work, and things will move much faster. And even if you still doubt from time to time, you can always get your ass right back on that bullet train towards your desire. So just lean back, relax, and keep your mind focused on the end, on your destination, the Universe will take you there in the fastest possible way.

Over six months in 2023 I worked on a lovely project with the Kingsley Centre and the Royal Academy of Arts communities programme. The Kingsley Centre supports disabled adults and 'provides opportunities for personal development, education, training and independence', in North Hampshire. Every two weeks we travelled to the Kingsley.

Through 10 day-long sessions we gradually built up individual & group art practice processes in nature art journals and through clay, and created a memory area of the garden together. And used recycled tile mosaic and creating painted wooden shapes, based on participants collages, planted seeds and potting up plants and planters. We all worked together exploring different processes for collaborating, co-designing and co-making alongside each other. Using the outside world as a starting point, we asked questions about out memories and sensory experiences of being outdoors, we thought about how we can support more wildlife, and chose nectar-rich plants to thrive next year, creating butterfly & bee supporting flower beds.

The final garden should be seen as a starting point, and each component, each painted piece of wood, and mosaic was worked on through many processes by many people. This layering of collaborative art-making processes produced an all-over cohesive colourful and playful garden design, that was created by everyone's input, including 7 support workers, two RA staff, and 20 adults participants. The project felt truly collaborative in the final month when we set up large tables in the October sunshine and worked across different stages of many parts of the project together. We will return this year in 2024 to see how the plants grow up and all the insects that will come along!

Danny decides to open a haunted house for Halloween-in Gotham. For kicks. He reserves the opening night for the Bats and only the Bats. The Bats do not have a choice in this.

They all wake up in the haunted house.

Their rogues, who had big plans, also wake up in the haunted house-but they don't get the toned down spooky version Danny's working on for potential customers that he's doing a test-run with via Bat testers.

No, the Rogues are locked in the basement with the ghosts of everyone they've killed.

Danny's got Tucker running the cameras, Sam helping coordinate the Ghosts, and Danny himself is running the actual spooky bits.

In theory, it's the perfect haunted house.

The best way to test it though, he feels, is against heroes that face scary things every day.

So.

Red Hood walking down a hallway, sees feet dangling from the ceiling. But there's a convenient beam blocking their view, so he strides up just as the feet vanish-and that's a solid wooden ceiling.

There's a note with a smiley face.

"Please rate your haunting experience on a scale of one to ten! :)"

Robin sees a shadow, and he chases it. And chases it. And chases it. And foolishly he somehow manages to let it lead him to a dead end-only when he turns around, the shadow is in the door.

And it's just a being made of pure shadow, with elongated limbs, breathing with a horrible wet rasp as it stares down at him.

Then it disappears.

In it's place, there's a note.

"Please rate your haunting experience on a scale of one to ten! :)"

Red Robin hears Batman call out for him to look something over, so he goes into the room.

Batman isn't there.

Batman's voice whispers in his ear from behind.

"Never thought you'd fall for that~"

The door slams shut.

Red Robin turns to open it, but it won't open. Not even if he picks the lock.

The floor creaks, and when he turns around he sees Batman standing right there-only for him to dissolve piece by piece.

In the puddle of weird green goo, there's a note.

"Please rate your haunting experience on a scale of one to ten! :)"

Bruce is in what looks like a child's room.

The temperature drops, and he braces for a supernatural event, because this is clearly what's going on.

The air stands still-and every single toy's head snaps to look at him.

They open their mouths and scream, green goo gargling up and spilling out of their lips.

The lights cut out, then they come back on; and the toys are all arranged around him in a peculiar pattern.

There's a note at his feet.

His lips quirk up against his will.

"Please rate your haunting experience on a scale of one to ten! :)"

Nightwing knows he's being fucked with.

He knows it.

He recognizes the room he's in-it was in the pamphlet for the new haunted house opening in Gotham. He'd really wanted to go, actually, but he was kinda sad he didn't have anyone with him.

He wanted it to be a family outing.

But from what it looks like, this is probably a test run. No ones emergency beacons have gone off, and there's only swearing in the comms cut through with mild amusement on Bruce's part.

Ugh, he doesn't want spoilers! He wants to go through it for the first time with everyone else!

"Hey, um, I was actually planning to come here with my family! I don't really want to be spoiled on anything, so can I skip this? And can I have anyone you haven't tested it on skip it too? Cuz they're probably friends or family and I want to be on the same knowledge level of what to expect."

The air itself seems to pause.

"Ah, shit, I'm sorry man. I didn't even think of that; I'll pull Spoiler and Signal before we start their runs."

Nightwing turns towards the intercom and waves cheerfully.

"I mean, we'd definitely be down to walk through the house tonight, but I want to do it in a group so we can laugh at each other."

"Oh, for sure, I just got too caught up in the 'creepy' part of the haunted house. The exit is hidden in the wall to your left, just pick up the rotary phone and it should pop out."

"Alright, I'll be waiting for them at the front!"

Due to recent issue with some people arguing about how ‘AO3 should have algorithm’ and such... I feel like these tweets need to be shared out more. Saw this tweets thread by chance and I had to admit it's a great advice esp on fic writing or fanworks in general.

[Edit 3] Not OP, but usually when ppl talk about ‘rude or demanding comments’ it usually refers to those that tend to message fanwriters to write according to what they want to be either on the flow of the plot, shipping, etc to the point of harrassment/toxicity. And that would make writing not be fun anymore for some.

Honestly we could REALLY get into the fact that a lot of the insanity in Acotar is an excellent exercise in why you can't really separate the art from the author.

Sjm's zionism is OBVIOUS in the text. The ic destabilize governments to the detriment of people they will never have to care for, steal artifacts from other countries, displace people, cause invasions, commit war crimes for 50 years "for the greater good" all while their own people are living under unchecked brutality and poverty.

They are rich megalomaniacs that care for no one but themselves and their own emotional and material satisfaction and they are PRAISED for it. In fact anyone who even remotely disagrees with the IC is almost always one of the villains in the story (Beron, Tamlin, etc) as if to condition the reader that asking questions that are critical of the IC puts you on the wrong side of the narrative morally.

All of that sounds REALLL familiar huh?

That episode of Family Fight canonically aired on National TV. Dennis named Paddy's Pub in the episode and then had a breakdown and they aired it. People watched some weird, pathetic man have a breakdown on live television, and he had plugged the bar he owns.

People probably showed up to Paddy's for the joke.

His breakdown probably got clipped and reposted. That probably got millions of views on 2015 Youtube, where one of the top comments was the name and address of Paddy's Pub in Philadelphia.

For months, maybe years, random people probably showed up to Paddy's just because they watched the owner crawl up into a ball and cry in a viral video.

'Pathetic man crying on floor' in probably a meme in their universe. People know Dennis Reynolds as that guy. More people know 'pathetic man crying on floor' than know Dennis.
